- 0:52Another fun episode. Getting everybody, back into the
- 0:55swing of things as classes resume for the 22 of fall going
- 1:00into 23 spring. So, the one most disassociated
- 1:04from that, Lamar from afar, Are you doing?
- 1:09Oh I'm good. It's almost summer vacation for
- 1:13me my summer break just in case. Anybody gives a damn is from
- 1:21September. When is God's is over, September
- 1:2418 from September 19th to like October 15th.
- 1:33Yeah, I got about a month in there that I only have to do
- 1:36like 10 things. I'll have to do 100, got it.
- 1:40Well, the least busiest man on the tiles.
- 1:43So lucious, you know, you're just sitting pretty enjoying
- 1:48your couches, you, let that, that seems to be the core of
- 1:54some Assumption of lots of folks, but I'm actually doing
- 1:57very well. Well, we're covered, I mean,
- 1:59Recover better from the European trip that I did from the trip to
- 2:05Eugene? I mean great.
- 2:08So let's just have you ever heard me always always traveled,
- 2:12better going west. Come on, he's just crushes, me
- 2:17precious. Every time I've ever have you
- 2:20ever run into yourself. So it's just because you know,
- 2:22you're so damn busy. I figure you're going to walk
- 2:24out and walk into yourself, I mean in one day and when I
- 2:29warmly, welcome to the welcome to this nonsense that Muammar
- 2:34from afar is up to today. I mean, that's illegitimate.
- 2:37Like listen, you the one that coached every damn day of world
- 2:41championship, that surprised you didn't figure out a way to coach
- 2:43every damn day European championships to Matt's not this
- 2:49year. That's right.
- 2:51He was if he was home breaking down film that I will actually
- 2:57Clyde. How are you tonight, sir?
- 3:02I am working my way through the chaos of returning to campus.
- 3:06Great, right. Oh, I had to share with you
- 3:12Clyde. Somebody said somebody said,
- 3:15since you've become a head coach, you clearly have lost all
- 3:19abilities to prepare to produce the ties for Clyde anymore.
- 3:26You know what listen that that's not.
- 3:28It's not about the head coach. It's not that there was just a
- 3:33lot going on in the last nine months, you know, but the ties
- 3:40for Clyde will return. That's not the first time I've
- 3:44heard that they will return, they will return.
- 3:48I have to, I have to restore, you know, the visual Integrity
- 3:51of the show. At some point I was always told,
- 3:56I was told that Clyde is usually not now that he's the head
- 4:00coach. That's funny.
- 4:04That's actually funny intentionally and I'm going to
- 4:08make you talk about it. Governor, the swc governor today
- 4:14to make you talk about it. I'm not gonna let you get by
- 4:16with it. How was your special day today?
- 4:20So it was it was super special got a call about two years ago
- 4:27from the Southwest Conference Hall of Fame saying that I had
- 4:31been inducted and I was going to be inducted into the Hall of
- 4:35Fame and huge, huge honor. And today we drove up to Waco
- 4:44jacking and myself and Good Fellowship.
- 4:50So basically, every member of the of the conference submits, a
- 4:55name, puts the name forward, and I was fortunate enough and I was
- 5:00honored to be put forward for for rice and but to get in that
- 5:06room with, you know, all of former, you know, former
- 5:10Southwest Conference Superstars. I mean, unbelievable stories.
- 5:17Will memories, you know, to see my former head coach and you
- 5:23know the Sprint's coach just to just catch up, you know.
- 5:30And but overall I mean just just another wonderful moment for me.
- 5:36And yeah, 11, I'll cherish for life.
- 5:40That's awesome. Congratulations, my man, thank
- 5:43you bro. For all you youngsters who don't
- 5:45understand how big of a deal the Southwest Conference was the
- 5:49conference has no longer been a conference for was a link, 25
- 5:541995, so at 27 years and they're still inducting people into the
- 5:59hole just so we're clear. So thankfully this is like, it's
- 6:04like the, like, the Jordan brand, right?
- 6:06Jordan, I bought a pair of Jordan. 36 is the other day.
- 6:08My man stop playing it like you're 15.
- 6:11So like like today M&M submitted, Greg Hill.
- 6:17Think about that. Okay wow, what a speech.
- 6:21Oh my goodness. If I hope somebody videotaped it
- 6:25because it was epic. And yeah I mean got a chance to
- 6:31go on the stage with him and just you know man, it was really
- 6:35cool but that we're talking about the RC Slocum, Texas A&M 5
- 6:40Southwest Conference titles in a row, never lost over a five-year
- 6:43span, you know, so that was a good old days.
- 6:46Sighs faint it. Okay, Segway Segway.
- 6:54Let's get into it, Clyde. Alluded to it.
- 6:57But, you know, most of us that are returning to campus, or have
- 7:00not or getting ready to return to campus in the next month or
- 7:04so. But a question posed to the tile
- 7:08and Lamar reflect on those things that you were doing when
- 7:11you were a college coach. What are your must For your
- 7:15athletes, as they return to campus and return to activities.
- 7:19So, obviously, I'm not talking about the athletic training
- 7:23stuff, or like getting their classes but the things after
- 7:27that, what are some of the must that you have to set up so that
- 7:31you your group is successful? Yeah, I'll tackle this one
- 7:38first. I think the biggest thing is the
- 7:43dissemination of information. And getting them off, giving
- 7:48them basically a the tools to be successful for that year.
- 7:53Giving them all the information. They need understanding that
- 7:56whether they're freshmen, or whether they're seniors, it just
- 7:59a hectic time. And the one thing I always say
- 8:03to my athletes, this time of year is at least once a day,
- 8:07stop and breathe, and put your feet up.
- 8:10Because it just gets overwhelming and then you get
- 8:13behind because you're trying to do too much just, you know, be
- 8:16patient and then after about a week, everything just settles
- 8:19down. So I think the biggest thing for
- 8:21me is that this very important that my staff and I are
- 8:24available to them, to help them get through this time.
- 8:27Because I'm always, I used to be shocked at how even the seniors
- 8:32seem to be scattered rain during this time, you know?
- 8:34And he was well, they've been away from, they went away boxes
- 8:36summer, right? Did it to try to get him back
- 8:38into the routine? For me, it's getting them to the
- 8:43information. I need to start off on the right
- 8:45foot and as a staff being there as a support system for me.
- 8:51And I'll jump in. We have a very unique situation
- 8:57here. You know, UTSA is campus is
- 9:01very, it's small, compared to the general.
- 9:06Public UTSA was pretty much built as a commuter school.
- 9:10So we have like, five thousand beds on campus.
- 9:13So basically, you know, football and I think basketball are
- 9:19primarily on campus I think even them, there's they're starting
- 9:23to move off campus, but we were off campus from day one.
- 9:27We don't have any record prerequisites to be on campus
- 9:31that freshman year or anything like that.
- 9:33So, you know, it is a, it's an arduous task, especially when
- 9:41you have international athletes coming in.
- 9:44So, what we do is we make sure we assign mentors to all of our
- 9:50incoming athletes. It's and basically that Mentor
- 9:54you know is responsible for showing them around, helping
- 9:58them settle into the apartment. You know, they need to set up
- 10:02their bank accounts if they need to, you know, get over to campus
- 10:08to set up their classes to meet with their counselors all of
- 10:12that. And, you know, as a staff, you
- 10:15know, we had to be around as well.
- 10:16You have to make sure that we're, you know, facilitating.
- 10:20You know any Fires are tons of fires at pop up and you're
- 10:24constantly putting fires out and you know you got panicked, kids
- 10:28going, oh my goodness, oh my goodness.
- 10:29And you're having to you know really step in and say hey it's
- 10:33okay we're going to be all right and then you know, once we have
- 10:39that first team meeting but basically you know laying out
- 10:43our expectations and you know from that point on it's really
- 10:49about getting into a routine Mmmmm, right?
- 10:52Like when do you get up? When you eat breakfast, when you
- 10:55get to practice, when you go to campus, when is weights, you
- 10:59know, rinse and repeat. You know, in the sooner, the
- 11:02kids, the kids that are able to get into a routine faster, are
- 11:07the ones that, you know, I think tend to succeed the ones that
- 11:11don't and you know, fits and starts and stop from stop and go
- 11:17as Sarah, Lucia said things, then start to pile.
- 11:21Low things start to pile up. You missed this assignment, you
- 11:26miss this meeting, you miss this appointment, you know, and all
- 11:30of that, you know, we can't say it enough.
- 11:35I mean every single meeting you blink and you're in the middle
- 11:39of the semester and you're wondering.
- 11:41Okay, where am I? And it's so crucial that I get
- 11:46here so quickly. Exactly, it's so crucial that
- 11:50you get on a schedule, get on a schedule and you stick to it
- 11:56Sunday, you are looking at what's coming up the following
- 11:59week and you, you know, putting it in your head.
- 12:02Okay, I got this on Monday, this on Tuesday and you start to
- 12:06think ahead, all those things are crucial to your success here
- 12:11at UTSA. You know, it's Definitely not
- 12:14the situation where everything is you know under that umbrella
- 12:18that magic you know force field where everything is on campus
- 12:22where you step out of your dorm and there is a dining hall and
- 12:25you step out of your dorm and there's a training room and it's
- 12:28not like that you've got moving parts.
- 12:31So you know it's really crucial that we you know, we communicate
- 12:35that to our kids beforehand and then once they get here, we
- 12:39reinforced it. Hey you got it.
- 12:42You got to do these things to be successful.
- 12:43Peaceful. I will say that this is my least
- 12:50favorite time of the year as excited as I am, especially for
- 12:57this upcoming season, you know, Year to you got your own
- 13:01recruits in all this other stuff, right?
- 13:05It's just and I'm a person who Embraces and functions very well
- 13:09admits chaos. But during this time of year, I
- 13:14feel like I have a new profession.
- 13:15I feel like I'm a professional firefighter because every hour
- 13:21it is multiple fires and honestly, because I understand
- 13:27the spirit of this question, just read your e-mails and
- 13:33respond. To what you're supposed to do.
- 13:37Like so much of my day. Today would have been eliminated
- 13:41if people just read their emails and do what it says to do.
- 13:48And to the governor's Point, ya in a week or two or three will
- 13:53have a rhythm to this whole thing and it'll be chill, but
- 13:56it's not chill right now and it is massively annoying.
- 14:00So if you are an incoming, Athlete, especially a freshman,
- 14:07a new transfer, or you are the parents of freshmen and new
- 14:12transfers. Make sure they read their emails
- 14:15and make sure they go where they are supposed to go at the time
- 14:19that they are supposed to be there because between medical
- 14:24people compliance academics. We don't we don't practice for
- 14:29like a month. All this other stuff, it is
- 14:34maddening, how much of this have much of these little things
- 14:38takes up so much of my time right now and it's totally
- 14:42preventable. So yes, if you want to know the
- 14:45checklist, just just read emails please.
- 14:50If there was a way to incorporate your schedules, your
- 14:58assignments, your tasks, all All of that stuff into Tick-Tock,
- 15:02Instagram or Twitter or, oh my goodness.
- 15:06They'd be honesty on him, on with me.
- 15:09Yeah. But wait, we can in our
- 15:12individual accounts. We just make the announcement,
- 15:15Sam problem, solved. When I took over the cow
- 15:56program, in particular, we were dfl and I I got a lot of really
- 16:05good counsel from a few people. One of them on this this group
- 16:10of tiles. And the thing that I got from
- 16:15from the advice was creating culture is the hardest thing to
- 16:21do and culture starts with Process.
- 16:25So when I was, when I was last a head coach, what we did was we
- 16:33put out like a small will call them muffins.
- 16:40Okay. In our in our, in our offices
- 16:43that were removed by 9:30 a.m. We also had checklists for
- 16:51freshmen, sophomores Juniors, and seniors actually printed and
- 16:55put on the tables in front of said muffins and each kid to
- 17:01Clyde's. Point about reading emails was
- 17:03sent an email. If you have any issues with the
- 17:11check-in, and whatever process we got, you started in our
- 17:15office before 9:30. So literally, if you read your
- 17:21email to Clyde's, point you, it was paint-by-numbers come to the
- 17:26office. Get a muffin.
- 17:30Look at your checklist, take your checklist with you fill out
- 17:34as much of it as you could. At the end of the checklist it
- 17:37says come back to the office because for us we were just
- 17:41always like we want to be here for you, but we're not going to
- 17:44follow you around. So I wanted to see you at the
- 17:47beginning of the at the beginning of the process for the
- 17:49day and at the end of the process for the day, let me see
- 17:52what you got down on your checklist.
- 17:54Okay. Well you need this, this and
- 17:55this and you should be good. All right.
- 17:58Well, you should have done this first What what we that was The
- 18:01Way We Were active parts of participants in the process
- 18:05without going crazy because I was like I'm not going to follow
- 18:08these kids around not doing any of that.
- 18:11But I think that this time of the year The thing that they
- 18:18think that young people fight against the, most of the things
- 18:21that thing that they need is also thing, they need the most,
- 18:24which is structure if you give them paint by numbers they will
- 18:29fight you kicking and screaming but eventually follow the paint
- 18:32by numbers and be thankful for the paint by numbers and I won't
- 18:40lie. It's it's half of your first
- 18:43summer trying to put together the checklist because it's
- 18:47Tedious, right? But once you got it, put
- 18:50together, once you got that in place, like honestly, I give
- 18:55Solutions a lot of crap, right? Because he's been in the same
- 18:58place in the same position at a very high level for a long time.
- 19:02So at this point I'm it really and truly is checking in with
- 19:05the staff. Y'all got this.
- 19:07Okay. But the point is It's structure
- 19:11that he's put in place with them, which is structure that
- 19:14they put in place with the student-athletes, which is
- 19:17structure that altogether been put in place with the, you know,
- 19:20constituents across the country across the across the campus.
- 19:24And so like, I, if I was given any advice to any young head
- 19:28coach, new head coach, whatever is, you know, spend the time in
- 19:34the offseason wants to put together as good a checklist as
- 19:39you possibly can. And and then make them
- 19:43accountable to it. You know?
- 19:45Here, this is what you have to do.
- 19:47Because here's the thing, we all we all make fun because none of
- 19:50us played football at the Collegiate level.
- 19:52We all make fun of the fact that like Collegiate football players
- 19:56get a syllabus that starts. Like, I don't know if you guys
- 19:58knew this but Collegiate football players like they get
- 20:02daily and weekly to-do list and so and syllabi, basically for
- 20:07football, that includes things like wake up and Go to sleep.
- 20:12Like, I mean it all but says, breathe in and then exhale.
- 20:17It's crazy, but it is also how they get 110 people to be on
- 20:22time. Places they're supposed to be.
- 20:25You know what I mean? Like they get the masses to move
- 20:28and do what they're supposed to do.
- 20:30And so, to some degree, I kind of took the football Mantra
- 20:32which is like, all right, I'm gonna take thinking out of this
- 20:36for you, for the first two or three days that you're on
- 20:38campus, just do this. Do what's on the list?
- 20:42If you do everything on the list and then you're still in
- 20:43trouble, you know what I'll do with that.
- 20:47So that was always my thought process and year one it was a
- 20:50complete and utter shit show your to.
- 20:52It was a whole lot better by year 3 was.
- 20:55You know I was so lucious. Y'all got this.
- 20:58All right I'll see you at, you know, 345 since you don't have
- 21:03practice, you know, like that kind of thing.
- 21:07So, but I think structure structure is important.
- 21:12And, and, and trust him believe seniors fight against it as much
- 21:16as anything and they needed as much of the freshmen do because
- 21:21their issue is they think they got this.
- 21:24They don't, you ain't lying. Seniors are as disheveled as
- 21:31freshmen just for different reasons.
- 21:33This freshman are disheveled because they're like, I don't
- 21:36know what I'm supposed to do. I don't want to mess this up.
- 21:38Seniors are like, I don't know what I'm supposed to do.
- 21:40I don't want to mess this up. I'm trying to get up out of
- 21:42here. It's the same conversation.
- 21:45It's just you know, six and one-half dozen the other.
- 21:51Flip the coin to the other side. What are some of your must see
- 21:55for yourselves as the coaches as we return to school?
- 21:59And not that we left the offices.
- 22:01But now we're a little more in the offices.
- 22:05And that she asked Lamar, I just want to go first.
- 22:09Oh go ahead. Does he hey man, you've been
- 22:18coming at me all day today and I've been trying to be nice
- 22:21because, you know, you're my Elder Statesman and my big
- 22:23brother and all that. Exactly.
- 22:33So anyway, for me, the We must do this for oneself as a coaches
- 22:44is to remember to give tools and not enable.
- 22:51Almost young Lucius. But what do you mean by that for
- 22:55the coach? I don't think so.
- 22:58So I would like to throw in my two cents on that as much as I
- 23:06would love to emulate what you just said.
- 23:14Not possible. No, it is.
- 23:17All is possible. It is possible.
- 23:20But unfortunately, you have to be, will you have to be willing
- 23:23to let them fail? And I understand, that's the
- 23:26understand campus. You can't understand this.
- 23:29I understand the difficulty that I really I really, I really
- 23:32thought the governor was trying to speak here before.
- 23:36Oh my God. And then the moment gets better
- 23:41to Skies here exactly because Tyler That's what you got to
- 23:44say. Anyway so big fella knows it but
- 23:55but no, I hear what you're saying Lamar.
- 23:59I mean the teaching should begin immediately once they get on
- 24:04campus. Hey welcome to the rest of your
- 24:07life you're out from under, you know, Mom and Dad's watchful
- 24:11eye, you know, no one's wake. You up in the morning, to go to
- 24:16class. No one's, you know, driving you
- 24:19to school. No one's doing any of that,
- 24:21right? You now on your own, you're in a
- 24:25new city, you're in a new country.
- 24:26So you've got to make an adjustment.
- 24:30You've got to adjust the way you think the way things are
- 24:35operating your used to. You might have been used to
- 24:38taking, you know, a train to trains and a bus to get to
- 24:42practice every day and that was Okay, but now you can't figure
- 24:46out what shuttle to take to get to campus on time, 7-minute
- 24:51drive right here. Me, spare me with that, right?
- 24:56So, but as far as, you know, as far as myself, I'm I'm more
- 25:06concerned about as her Lucius said, Taking a breath every day
- 25:13because if you let or if you get tangled up in the Whirlwind, and
- 25:20the, the the tornado that is incoming freshman or incoming
- 25:24athletes that are frazzled and they're, you know, they're
- 25:28freaking out and they can't figure out, you know, how to set
- 25:32up their their account. They can't figure out how to put
- 25:36their name in for their bank account or, you know, Remember,
- 25:41whatever and you've got to sit there and just be calm, you have
- 25:47to be the calming influence in their lives.
- 25:50You got to make sure that they understand that they're okay.
- 25:54And this this chaos that they're going through, it will dissipate
- 25:59and they will be fine, right? So yeah I would say main thing
- 26:04is just, you know, be a be a calming presence, don't jump in.
- 26:10And become part of the craziness, warm.
- 26:15Ability existence e. You know, I think that, you
- 26:21know, with the taking a breath for me, everyday, when you're
- 26:26managing over 100 people, and I think the big thing is is like,
- 26:30you know, you have to set the tone, whether it's a serious
- 26:34tone or calming tone, whatever tone and needs to be set for the
- 26:37day starts at the top. And it starts with me, you know?
- 26:39So that for me, you know, as I like to say, I'm the strongest
- 26:43urge to drink, you know, still in the mail from the Mars home
- 26:45where Reggie Jackson, At the tone.
- 26:52Very much agree with the governor and sort of Lucius.
- 26:54I will just say that I am trying to get home every day before 9
- 26:59p.m. and I am trying to maintain my positive relationships with
- 27:03compliance and all the other administrative offices.
- 27:09That was so loaded. That was so loaded.
- 27:13So very lonely. Oh man, but that, that is one of
- 27:20the unwritten Right. Or the backhanded is, we make
- 27:25sure all the beginning of your forms.
- 27:26Get done to make sure that everyone tries to check off that
- 27:29list while we shut the door and do a little scream of
- 27:32frustration. But then be like, okay, we got
- 27:35to make sure we stay on their good side.
- 27:37All right, get er, done get, er, done student athlete experience.
- 27:43Yeah. And, and let me be clear with
- 27:46what I said, because I'm serious about this, like, in my job in
- 27:50my role, as As a director, right?
- 27:53I act I genuinely believe that one of my like key facets around
- 27:59here is to maintain good working relationships with the auxiliary
- 28:04staff. You know that we all have to
- 28:07deal with every day. When I say, we all, I mean me,
- 28:10right? Because if you're an assistant,
- 28:13that ain't that really isn't your gig.
- 28:15If you're the athletes, they don't see when you do something
- 28:19wrong or you don't. Onto an email or you aren't
- 28:22where you're supposed to be? They don't see all the drama
- 28:26that that potentially causes behind the scenes.
- 28:29And so, you know, luckily in my current position like all of
- 28:34those auxiliary people have been amazing to me but I've only been
- 28:37here one year. My you know what I mean?
- 28:41Like I'm still in very good graces with everybody.
- 28:44So I'm like, as as my team continues to grow and we bring
- 28:48in more and more new people we have to maintain.
- 28:51Then the standard that I have set in order to keep everybody
- 28:55happy and that is a very delicate dance, trust me on
- 28:58that, it is mind-boggling. Like if I, if you if, if we were
- 29:04to sit around and think about all the things you have to do to
- 29:10get to that first team meeting, where everybody is eligible,
- 29:16everybody is certified. Everybody can Sieve equipment.
- 29:22Everybody is in classes have all their classes.
- 29:27I mean, the average everyday person would be like, okay,
- 29:32you're doing this for what? You're getting paid what to do
- 29:36this and it's every single year you go through this.
- 29:43So I mean yeah and I look I'll be the first to tell you.
- 29:46I'm blessed I have an incredible staff around me and they take a
- 29:49lot off my plate. I'm very thankful for that and
- 29:53that's why they're employed. I'll just tell you from a, you
- 29:58know a slightly different perspective.
- 30:00Like what happens in my job is Chaos breaks out like I'm
- 30:06supposed to be the calm one, right?
- 30:08So like I'll give you guys a case in point.
- 30:11I had a kid who's been committed and then National letter of
- 30:15intent signed to a power five school since he was a freshman
- 30:20in high school. He graduates high school, not
- 30:25having field books not in track and field.
- 30:27Yeah, he he, he's on campus for, I think they call it summer be.
- 30:33So he's taking classes. And his brother was in the
- 30:37program. His brother graduated and
- 30:40decides. He's going to grad transfer to
- 30:42another school within conference.
- 30:45The head coach takes huge umbrage to, this comes to said
- 30:49young, man. who's in the locker room and tells him, you need to
- 30:53pack, all your stuff, get out of locker room, you're never going
- 30:56to play here and I would suggest you find another school to be a
- 31:01So this is like within a month before the first day of school.
- 31:06He is never considered going to another four-year School.
- 31:10And now I get the phone call. I got kicked off this campus.
- 31:16What do I do? How do we make this work?
- 31:20And then I am de facto guidance, counselor academic counselor,
- 31:27recruiting coordinator you name it, right?
- 31:31And you can't sleep until, you know, all your kids are settled.
- 31:36So it's this time of the year is also very interesting for me
- 31:40because I just crossed my fingers in this.
- 31:43Make sure that everybody is supposed to be some places there
- 31:47because when they're not, then, you know, I All six junior
- 31:51colleges and 11 four-year schools.
- 31:55We had surf through a whole lot of nonsense.
- 31:57Then in the end he's you know the young man is going to go to
- 32:00Junior College for a year out in Arizona.
- 32:03He's from Orlando, Florida. Sounds like fun.
- 32:09Yeah, nice. Thank you for your nuggets from
- 32:14everybody and hopefully someone heard something or a word that
- 32:18resonates with them and and allows maybe not for this year's
- 32:22smoothness and maybe it is for is this your smoothness?
- 32:24But next year's are the years to come for sure for sure 2.
- 32:30Take your booster. This draw for the drink little
- 32:33bit, cuz we like a little bit of chaos every episode, let's dive
- 32:37into the coaching Carousel, because we not neglected it by
- 32:41any means, but we've Let It Be and we've let it spin for a few
- 32:44revolutions. And now it's time to Jump on the
- 32:48right ourselves and see what see what's going up and down.
- 32:53There have been a lot of hires. If you're on Twitter
- 32:58specifically, you seen you said higher as happening.
- 33:01There's been some retirements. There's been some vacancies that
- 33:04have come up recently. There are still some vacancies
- 33:07that have been vacant for a minute which is a little
- 33:11interesting. So, who would like to shed light
- 33:16Wow. Well we know I think I was in
- 33:18the biggest higher was, you know, cut yo, skip Riano to
- 33:21Illinois, you know, you know, we all know Petros did a phenomenal
- 33:25job of Georgia. I think we all expected to do
- 33:27the same at alleged Illinois. You know, he took Giovani Smalls
- 33:34from Arizona, state is now there with him, big ones, Dennis
- 33:37Mitchell. Who was a head coach at are
- 33:39acting for a very long. Time is now the povo coach
- 33:42there. I think he kept the distance
- 33:43coach. Correct have no idea what he's
- 33:45doing. Other than that, I believe
- 33:49there's still two jobs open at the University of Miami.
- 33:54In the Sprint side. I believe that, mr.
- 33:57Diego. I always mess up his last name
- 33:59is now, Ohio State Park fucker. Yeah, he's down Ohio State
- 34:04Buckeye, that's round. Forgot about that.
- 34:07Wow, so this is Miss, Amy in the same medium.
- 34:09Now has two jobs open. She then pilot.
- 34:12Like, I put that out there in The Ether, but maybe we should
- 34:14get back. Out of that, you know?
- 34:18Yeah, I don't know. I'm not sure what Tennessee's
- 34:21flowers there and, you know, and I think the other big one that
- 34:25we haven't talked about the fact that you know, a month ago.
- 34:27We thought blind, Brian blue trick you know Big Blue's gonna
- 34:30be go saying, overalls it out and now it's right so we
- 34:39probably not arguably blue is probably widely considered the
- 34:42best role as coach in NCAA so And deservedly.
- 34:45So so has Oregon figured out who's doing jumps in multis.
- 34:53I mean if they have they have publicised it exactly, you know
- 34:57or get organ? Jump some all ties.
- 35:01Tennessee throws, Arizona, throws a cure Akron, head coach
- 35:08Akron and our staff types of yes, sure.
- 35:11I got acronym tires, backward, entire staff.
- 35:14Brassica, Arizona, state has to replace the people that have
- 35:18Braska Nebraska jumps. Wow.
- 35:22Because that's what that's what Pepin Coast right.
- 35:26Yeah. And multi, yeah.
- 35:30And, you know, like there's going to be a lot of movement
- 35:35from the things we just named and to be frank, that that's not
- 35:39all of them, you know, like going Carolina.
- 35:41Anthony is the first Florida A&M, coaches whatsoever, the
- 35:49same Jacksonville figured out what they're doing, nobody's
- 35:53heard that they have, they have been just as quiet about hiring,
- 35:57as they were about firing. Somebody have been very quiet on
- 36:04both fronts, UNC still has a job posted or what?
- 36:10I don't know. I'd someone was asking me about
- 36:12it today and I was like, I didn't even That.
- 36:14Sorry, the biggest thing. The biggest thing for me, and we
- 36:20talked about this last year. I honestly didn't think it would
- 36:24happen this way so quickly. And again, It's in the middle of
- 36:29August. Yep, there are so many jobs
- 36:33open. There are so many head jobs.
- 36:36Open, there are universities with literally no staff at all
- 36:41and people are returning to campus.
- 36:44So. If there's opportunities out
- 36:48there for people who are still shopping, don't think that there
- 36:50aren't. There are none here.
- 36:53I got another email yesterday, I have no jobs.
- 36:58Is there somebody out there putting this out there because I
- 37:00got an email today. Like, you know, when we would
- 37:03love to join your staff, I'm like, well, who's paying like
- 37:06right? You know, but I do want to give
- 37:10a shout-out wild know. I'm thinking about to my man are
- 37:13mine gino-hall. Who is now The Springs coated to
- 37:16make Mexico Junior College. Wow.
- 37:19Okay so that is no.
- 37:42The marshmallow far your boy Antoine Wright is now Dartmouth.
- 37:46Wow, that is tremendous but I just want to say this like
- 37:50listen, Armand Hall and, and Antoine Wright are to look five
- 37:57years from now. We're going to be talking about
- 37:58these, two dudes is as like, you know, guys, dudes, as they say,
- 38:03in baseball in, in the, in the power 5, ethos it right there.
- 38:10They're going to be dudes and look and listen.
- 38:13My guy, Keith Black Will at New Mexico, Junior College.
- 38:18I was wanting people to pay attention.
- 38:20All that dude does is win and hire coaches who continue to win
- 38:24and then they go on other places and do other other really good
- 38:27things. So that's my farm on I-90 Hobbs.
- 38:30New Mexico is not sexy. Trust me, when I tell you, it's
- 38:33way more sexy than it used to be.
- 38:35Because now Hobbs has an airport used to have to go to all the
- 38:38way to Midland Texas, which is it Which is like two hour drive
- 38:41and our time change. So just enjoy it.
- 38:47Is your what, you know, Solutions, I mean, how extensive
- 38:52is your tree at this? Listen, we don't have a show.
- 39:16That we can do the elusive coach, the Lucius transfer
- 39:19portal. We don't necessarily have time,
- 39:21like I'm about to die trying to wrap my head around.
- 39:25Like, how many like the sheer number?
- 39:29But okay, just just respect me a whole other show.
- 39:33So there are 4 tile for tiles. Not name Lucius on this show,
- 39:39right? There are three and a half.
- 39:44People from the Lucius Tree on this show, on the show.
- 39:50I'm only give a cloud a half. Yeah.
- 39:57With yeah, respectfully. As much as I would love to be
- 40:01tied to that tree, I'm not even sure.
- 40:02I could be, I'm not even sure. I could be there.
- 40:05No, I mean, you're not in the hierarchy of how my career
- 40:10developed I'm gonna get on there one day though.
- 40:16You know, I, I do not know the number off the top of my head
- 40:19Governor, but I will definitely think about that.
- 40:22Am I start taking some notes? Well, that's not my question.
- 40:25We need an answer. Yes, yeah.
- 40:29I would say the more entertaining part is, you know,
- 40:33and we talked about this as mentor-mentee relationship.
- 40:36Sorry, there's a complete tangent, mentor-mentee
- 40:39relationships, develop get cultivated and things of that
- 40:42nature. If your adjacent to Sir Lucius,
- 40:45that doesn't make you a part of the tree.
- 40:48No, just another row. So I say that to say I see, this
- 40:52is why I say that though, right? Because someone has in the
- 40:56staff, the statue of yourself, the claim to fame is to throw
- 40:59you out. Just throw your name out there.
- 41:01I had a conversation once with Coach Holloway or you know, when
- 41:06I saw him speak he said to me amongst the 7D other people that
- 41:12were in the room but you leave that part out.
- 41:13Right. So when I say that, I say that
- 41:16because when you're part of a tree, whether you're at the top,
- 41:20a leaf, a branch, whatever it is, embrace it and actually be
- 41:25fruitful of it. You can't just Garner the drip
- 41:29drops from it, like, you've got to be a part of it.
- 41:33Make the phone calls, have the conversations, and maybe it's
- 41:37not directly to Sir lucious. But I know that when I've had
- 41:40conversations with Summer wear, I must for my own personal
- 41:45advice and I say, yeah, like this is why I think this and
- 41:49here's the evidence of this because coach Holloway had said,
- 41:52one time in a conversation, dot dot dot.
- 41:55And if it works for him, I've got at least listen to it.
- 41:59Right. And so, be fruitful with this
- 42:02information, don't just like gloss over it.
- 42:05And just be like, one time when I was at your shot of cortisol
- 42:08away at the convention on the third floor.
- 42:13Do what they do, people people, absolutely true treats or
- 42:18Lucius. Like people try to treat
- 42:20Belichick know, 100%. Yeah, hundred percent and that.
- 42:24And that's why I would never sit here and claim that because it
- 42:28ain't that, you know what I mean?
- 42:29Like, it's cool and all, but sorry, all this happened to me
- 42:37this year, right? If you're part of the tree, then
- 42:39when, when you bring one of your athletes, To the Mothership,
- 42:44right? Well, Master money.
- 42:46I like that. When, when your athlete, who you
- 42:57brought with? You says, oh yeah, I heard this
- 43:00a bunch of times. Because coach Huffman said that
- 43:04you said, yada yada yada, right? That's how you know, you're part
- 43:08of the tree is that the kids, the young people that you were
- 43:11blessed to coach when they finally get To me, like the guy,
- 43:15they're like, oh yeah, I've never met you, but I've heard a
- 43:19lot of things that you've said, right?
- 43:21That's how you know that you're legitimately part of the tree.
- 43:24And I don't mean that like in some sort of flex, I'm just
- 43:26saying, like, listen, there's this work.
- 43:30We have something better to talk about right now.
- 43:32I know this guy, you know, it's funny.
- 43:34He say so embarrassed right now, this is the best part making
- 43:37him. Uncomfortable is the best thing
- 43:39ever. You do this on purpose, you know
- 43:41I know you do. I wouldn't even do this.
- 43:43This time I didn't even do it this time.
- 43:44This time is on is on BL. See I had nothing to do with
- 43:47this. Well, that's the governor
- 43:49started it, European Athletics Athletics.
- 44:11Why is European Athletics better?
- 44:15Great question. Go ahead sir.
- 44:18I mean it's it's kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy, right?
- 44:21Like how many times have you heard me and everybody else on
- 44:24this show? Talk about how Euro centered the
- 44:27sport is, right? Okay.
- 44:28Well European Athletics, literally only has to govern
- 44:31itself like, how hard is that? How hard is it to govern?
- 44:34It reported on it. Do all those things when like
- 44:36like literally this is your constituency.
- 44:38This is like the definition of preaching to the choir at least
- 44:41with World Athletics. There's the there's the
- 44:43occasional where they don't do it.
- 44:45Exactly. The same way that we do things
- 44:47somewhat differently in the United States as they do in
- 44:50Europe, they do things slightly differently in Australia as they
- 44:54do in the rest of Europe. They definitely do things.
- 44:56A whole shit ton differently in the Caribbean as they do in
- 45:01Europe anywhere, right? It's the world that has to kind
- 45:06of be like, you know, the mothership so to speak over all
- 45:10of these children. But if they only talk about
- 45:13European Athletics, like This literally this is literally like
- 45:18it like choir and Pulpit to you know what I mean?
- 45:22Like it's it's there's no yes there's no going into necessary
- 45:26falls. On the needle that the SEC slow.
- 45:30You don't you dare? Don't you?
- 45:31Dare it just means more. I mean, yeah.
- 45:48Like that's just what it is, right?
- 45:51No, no. That's that's literally what it
- 45:53is. Yeah.
- 45:54That's literally what firsthand and Commonwealth Games, right?
- 45:57Like Commonwealth Games, would it went seamlessly?
- 46:00You in comparison to World Athletics, World Championships?
- 46:04Which also went really well, right?
- 46:07But Commonwealth Games went seamlessly.
- 46:10You know why? Because preacher was telling the
- 46:13choir shut up, do what you supposed to do.
- 46:15Got to go to a meeting Europe. Like we're in Budapest, right?
- 46:20And like, this is a little rinky-dink.
- 46:22Stadium is no big deal. And there's this little little
- 46:25small woman period, but like it just ran like, there was never a
- 46:31blip on the radar. Nope, that means here in the
- 46:34states, it's our behind, I'm sorry.
- 46:44Yeah, I mean Like in Europe, they ought like, here's what
- 46:47I'll say, right? Like when I used to, I used to
- 46:49work at Boise State and it's the only place I've ever been.
- 46:53That was like this Boise State football does what it does and
- 46:57it's insanely, it's insanely successful but what most people
- 46:59don't know unless you live in Boise is the high schools.
- 47:04All run some version of Boise State Football Playbook the I
- 47:09think they call it a optimist so like the pop warner of boy.
- 47:15In Boise and in the state of Idaho, they all run some version
- 47:19of Boise State's effects, right? So at the end of the day like
- 47:25but I'm a kid from Idaho gets the Boise State.
- 47:28Like they already know the Playbook they've been running it
- 47:30for like 12 years, right? Like this is what we got when we
- 47:34come, we come to meets in Europe, everybody in Europe,
- 47:37runs meets with the same Playbook.
- 47:40That's why that's why you know like to your point anyone that
- 47:45is of the caliber to go to European championships you know
- 47:49on a regular basis what must they be thinking when they come
- 47:54to a World Championships that isn't just just running like
- 48:00clockwork. It wasn't just Snappy and isn't
- 48:03doesn't have a rhythm and you're having all these breaks and
- 48:06you're wondering, okay? Okay, what is going on here?
- 48:09You know? And that's that's the I think
- 48:13the the biggest difference is European Athletics live, eat,
- 48:20breathe? Like it's part of their DNA,
- 48:25their growing up, from young children, you know, like how
- 48:30many how many people on this on this Podium on this panel?
- 48:34Like I remember the first time I was at a track meet and you know
- 48:39the Might be area or the track indoor track was kind of a
- 48:43multi-purpose place and I'm doing my preemie and I look over
- 48:48and there's a six-year-old kid doing the same Med ball throws
- 48:54that I'm doing, looking at this kid and I'm going, no wonder
- 49:00you're so far ahead of everybody else.
- 49:05Like, it's part of their curriculum.
- 49:08They don't have a choice. Oice know.
- 49:10This is this is what they do. I'll give you a great example of
- 49:13that Mon Dieu Duplantis. Yes, absolutely don't.
- 49:18Why? He's the best he's been doing it
- 49:19since he can walk basic. Absolutely, yeah, you know,
- 49:24great, great example. So I would compare this even
- 49:28though Lucius stole my line, but that's okay.
- 49:31He's the go in the highest chair.
- 49:33I'm just the alumni know it. It really does mean more in the
- 49:41same way from a governing body standpoint, it just means more
- 49:46to them, like high school track and field just means more on the
- 49:50island of Jamaica. Mmm.
- 49:53So the best high school thing you will ever see.
- 49:58Is to make a chance anywhere in the world, I assure.
- 50:02You Jamaican chances better? Yes, not just the performances,
- 50:07the atmosphere, the care in which Which they structure that
- 50:11entire entity. A lot of the governing body of
- 50:16European Athletics, I imagine are tied to World Athletics, but
- 50:22it means more that Euro Athletics, does it?
- 50:27Well period, everything that they put into that?
- 50:32And I've had, you know, I've been lucky enough to go to a
- 50:36European Championship firsthand as a coach.
- 50:39It's amazing. My, it is literally amazing.
- 50:43And if you You ever have an opportunity to go as a
- 50:45spectator. Just go.
- 50:47It's a different vibe. It's a different field.
- 50:49It is amazing. Go get on the year that it's
- 50:53website. Yes.
- 50:55How interactive it is. It is it's alive.
- 51:00Like you are you don't have to go searching for things.
- 51:04It is they have figured out how to be user-friendly like well to
- 51:09that point right to that point. If you got on the world
- 51:14Athletics website, during World Championships, there was good in
- 51:17food and have to register. Yeah.
- 51:22Right. I have to register.
- 51:24Yeah. With your athletic and I once
- 51:26you register percent believe, it's amazing.
- 51:29Yes, necessarily cost me anything but if you want to be
- 51:33in the club you got to register. You got to register.
- 51:35Yeah, they wanted to go over. You want to be there?
- 51:39That's right. And and and here's the thing
- 51:41like like We talked about indoctrination, right?
- 51:44Like look, unbeknownst to the rest of the world, right?
- 51:48There's a, there's a world championship.
- 51:50You 20 is a World Championships, you know at you know at the
- 51:55senior level when Europeans is a European championships, you 20,
- 51:59this is European Championship U23 this European championships
- 52:03as a senior like and there's are you a team?
- 52:06There's a u18. Exactly right.
- 52:09And and like, look, what will take something, really simple.
- 52:12The first time if you are a North American athlete.
- 52:15The first time you go to a major championship is the first time
- 52:17you ever go to a meat where the meats in sessions.
- 52:20Yeah. Right.
- 52:21So if you do it again flan, like well you got three events in the
- 52:24morning and then two events the evening they've been doing that
- 52:27since they were 16 years old, you know.
- 52:31They build their training around that.
- 52:33Yes they do. Like that's half the issue that
- 52:36comes about. When European athletes come to
- 52:38the states to go to college, they're like what is this?
- 52:43Why are we doing so many things in a row?
- 52:46Why are we out here for four straight hours?
- 52:50You'll have like those kind of questions and it's like what do
- 52:53you mean? And then you go back and you you
- 52:55know, you get them or you get a little bit more Global in your
- 52:57like got it. So since European 16 use you've
- 53:03been doing like a decathlon is in four sessions.
- 53:08Got it. All right.
- 53:15Y'all make sense. It all makes sense.
- 53:20The European Athletics website is actually really cool.
- 53:24I do challenge you to go like with yeah, like I just put it in
- 53:28our group chat before we started that and then so just for those
- 53:33who are you're watching and who had the experience of World
- 53:35Championships to go backwards, a little bit of comparison, if
- 53:38there are things that you didn't, like we actually all
- 53:40just got an email as to what comments?
- 53:44I wanted to make. So if you didn't see that yet,
- 53:47go check your email. If you really have something
- 53:49that you want to make a comment on and improve or light because
- 53:53you really like it, I encourage you to go do that because you
- 53:56can't complain about it if you don't say anything about it.
- 53:58So sorry far too. Close this conversation because
- 54:06by no means. Are we ending the show, closed
- 54:08the conversation with an amazing thing on a highlight.
- 54:12What are the amazing things or things that you saw happen in
- 54:16the year of 2022 in regards to track and field.
- 54:20So it's not specific to NCAA, it's not specific to your event
- 54:24group, or even an athlete in the world of track and field goal.
- 54:27Was they made things things that you saw.
- 54:32From afar. You know, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a
- 54:37nerd. And I'm a Star Wars buff and
- 54:40there's a, there's an expression to Star Wars people, the fully
- 54:43operational death star. And I think one of the most
- 54:48amazing things I saw this year and I hate to say this because
- 54:52like, this is literally going to feed Clyde's, ego, but But
- 54:58watching Sid actually become the fully operational Death Star,
- 55:08right? So like look, everybody, if
- 55:11you're paying attention you had, she's giving you moments for me.
- 55:15It was last year when she ran sub 13 in the hurdles off the
- 55:18wrong leg. I don't know.
- 55:22I don't know that. That really happened.
- 55:24I think you're making this. It did happen.
- 55:28I don't think he did. Okay, well whatever I mean it's
- 55:31what you have to think that, but I'm just telling you it did.
- 55:34But even if it didn't, how about this, the story came about and I
- 55:39paid attention from there on in, let's go with that.
- 55:42And and and I guess the point to it is is like if you were paying
- 55:46attention you're like wow they're working on a different
- 55:50level than every like they've gone deeper into the bag than
- 55:54anybody else has been willing to go into.
- 55:56Like last time, I heard her went into this kind of bag.
- 55:58It was Edward back in the day, right?
- 56:01That it would in the 70s was stinking thinking, like like
- 56:05Like what's going on now in the 70s.
- 56:09And so listen Clyde has been beating me and Sir Lucius across
- 56:13the head about Sid and her damn pattern.
- 56:17And if Sid runs this pattern, she won't ever get beat.
- 56:21And I I'll be the first person to raise my hand.
- 56:24And say I told Clyde that was some absolute dies and he was
- 56:27disrespecting to Lilah as as the goat and the champion and world
- 56:32record holder. And you know what?
- 56:36Sid, as the fully operational. Death star is indeed.
- 56:41I'm going to say Unbeatable because for once she runs a
- 56:47pattern nobody else runs for two, she's beating currently
- 56:51beating about the head and shoulders the number two and
- 56:53number three all-time hurdlers. So it's not like she's being
- 56:57like some bums. Like the two people next on the
- 57:00all-time list behind her. She's beating about the head and
- 57:02shoulders and she takes nine or 10 fewer steps in a hurdle race
- 57:09than the rest of them. And at the end of the day, folks
- 57:12like I just use this words these words, but like that's some
- 57:16other shit, right? Like, ain't nobody else doing
- 57:20that. And so what has been amazing to
- 57:23me? There's been a lot.
- 57:25We've been a lot of amazing things in track, but what's been
- 57:28amazing for me and I can't wait to hear everybody else's
- 57:31answers. What's been amazing for me is to
- 57:34watch Sid, and Bobby. Take a great moving car Tinker
- 57:43with it, going the shop, really get it right.
- 57:46And then bring it out and unleash the Formula One race
- 57:49car, you know against some NASCAR's and just watch the did
- 57:55like the demolition. Of the rest of the world.
- 58:00Because I'm not sure that anybody can beat her.
- 58:04I think the only thing that beats her is boredom Oh yeah,
- 58:10I'll simply say thank you. And I agree.
- 58:14Well you know we you know I think we do a decent job of
- 58:20throwing out things that go relatively unnoticed on this
- 58:24show. But and you know this nothing,
- 58:27you know, nothing can really compare to something like Sid,
- 58:30right. But one of the more amazing
- 58:32things I've seen this year is the the rise, the Ascension, if
- 58:37you will. Of Coach Karl Goodman and his
- 58:41Protege, Melissa Jefferson. And if sport needed anything as
- 58:48bad as it needed. Melissa Jefferson.
- 58:51I am so happy she is here. I'm so happy, she has arrived.
- 58:54I'm so grateful for her presence and what she represents.
- 59:00It's just they've done everything right.
- 59:03And, you know, if there's a if there's a young person In this
- 59:09game, in that event, to be excited about genuinely excited
- 59:14about it. Can actually carry the flag, it
- 59:16would be Melissa Jefferson and she's by nowhere near.
- 59:20You know, she ain't anointed. She's not, you know, the best
- 59:24that we have right now looks looks to be that the best we
- 59:27have right now is Alia Hobbs, right?
- 59:29But The possibility that someone that young can be, she showed
- 59:34that she has everything mentally and emotionally to carry that
- 59:37flag. And so I'm very, very impressed
- 59:41with Melissa Jefferson. And I can't wait to see what
- 59:43next what comes next from her and her coach and she's probably
- 59:47the only student athlete that that's gone.
- 59:49The Coastal Carolina that's come out of coastal at Coastal
- 59:52Carolina when the professional contract.
- 59:55I mean, I don't know if that's true, but I bet money it is, you
- 59:59know, I mean, you know, we know that the track of fields that
- 1:00:01we're positive, that I would imagine a baseball player or
- 1:00:04football player, something called there was a baseball
- 1:00:06player a couple years ago. You said the only one ever?
- 1:00:12Yeah. No.
- 1:00:13No. I didn't say ever, I'm saying,
- 1:00:14like, this year, like me, just meaning like, like you said,
- 1:00:16ever, I didn't say ever. But okay.
- 1:00:20The point is, I, you know, you're going to be a meme next
- 1:00:23week because I want to make that mean.
- 1:00:24When you said ever shall be brought, as you said, I'm just,
- 1:00:33just look at my background. Everybody has a plan until they
- 1:00:36get punched in the mouth. See, here's a difference between
- 1:00:40me and everybody else. When you punch me in the mouth,
- 1:00:42my plan just gets better brother toothless but it used to
- 1:01:03do. So, So I'm going to give a shout
- 1:01:10out to one of my proteges prey to one of my athletes and
- 1:01:14something that he did this year. When this guy walked on my
- 1:01:17campus this year and January was 45 40.
- 1:01:21And you know, six months later, he's 4372 10 fastest guy in his
- 1:01:25history of the sport and it's his deep attention to detail is
- 1:01:30work. Ethic was just phenomenal you
- 1:01:32know just a big shout-out to Champion Allison in the work you
- 1:01:35put in this year. I mean, I don't think there's
- 1:01:36anybody on this planet. Myself included that back in
- 1:01:40January thought this dude, 40, 43 separate Outdoors, you know,
- 1:01:45but I get this big shout-out to him.
- 1:01:47I'm very, very impressed with what he did, looking forward to
- 1:01:50continue that charged with him. You're my favorite.
- 1:01:54My favorite thing about champ is Champ actually challenged to
- 1:01:58Lucius, mr. Lucius had planned to Redshirt
- 1:02:01Camp indoors. It's a like nah cuz I want to
- 1:02:08roll my boy and I wouldn't I wouldn't quite say that's how
- 1:02:10the conversation when I'm trying to make you sound good.
- 1:02:28My first thought was an in this, this is, this is getting kind of
- 1:02:33crazy Clyde because that's exactly the first thought I had
- 1:02:38was Melissa Jefferson who, and I thought Clyde is going to say,
- 1:02:43if he gets on there, he's going to say, sure enough.
- 1:02:47So I move to plan B. Okay.
- 1:02:51Now here is what I found. Guess how many women have run
- 1:02:57under 11 seconds this year? Oh oh God Ernie 37.
- 1:03:05Wow. So lucious 35.
- 1:03:10Wow, Douglas a 25. So I went back so I went back
- 1:03:14ten years. Lucky guess I went back.
- 1:03:17Ten years. Okay.
- 1:03:20I mean we're talking to Legal under 11 seconds.
- 1:03:24The biggest amount I saw in the last 10 years was 17.
- 1:03:29Wow. Well, do you want to talk about?
- 1:03:36We're in a new era and I said this, when I watched World
- 1:03:43Championships, the semi is the finals.
- 1:03:46The the rounds. And I said this, when I saw
- 1:03:49Commonwealth, I saw when I saw, you know what just happened
- 1:03:52today, World Juniors. We're, we're moving into a
- 1:03:57different era in our Sport and For the coaches that are pushing
- 1:04:05the envelope. Much like with what we're seeing
- 1:04:09in the for hurdles, right. Men and woman because 47 is what
- 1:04:15on the men now. What is that?
- 1:04:17Right normal. Okay, 53 reading.
- 1:04:22Wondered and woman's hurdles, right?
- 1:04:23Exactly, right. But 35 women have broken 11
- 1:04:31seconds this year. That is insane.
- 1:04:34Well, can we stay on that? Gobble.
- 1:04:39Probably what the most I mean. And I again, I only went back a
- 1:04:42decade every single year, back again, maybe better than anyone
- 1:04:48on this show. The governor will pull something
- 1:04:52from nowhere and create a side conversation.
- 1:04:56We weren't planning for this, but since he threw that out
- 1:05:00there and none of us except himself had been paying
- 1:05:03attention to such a thing. Listen, we all acknowledge that
- 1:05:08coaches are Better smarter and they have more direct links to
- 1:05:12information. We all recognize that there are,
- 1:05:16you know, new technologies available to coaches, right?
- 1:05:21And I think people are trying to study their craft better, all
- 1:05:24things true, right? But don't get it twisted and
- 1:05:27this is for all the naysayers, the shoes matter people.
- 1:05:31What if you don't think the shoes matter you're losing your
- 1:05:35mind. So part of this new era that
- 1:05:39we're in. Yeah, is the era of the super
- 1:05:42spy. And it is what it is.
- 1:05:46It is what it is. So, you know, once that door was
- 1:05:50open, right? And and Nike may have jumped out
- 1:05:55there with it first oh but there's a reason Adidas and puma
- 1:05:59and a six and everybody else got one.
- 1:06:01Hmm. Yeah.
- 1:06:02Okay they may want it don't have one.
- 1:06:04They are coming soon you know right.
- 1:06:08Absolutely I also want to give a shout-out to mr.
- 1:06:13Cunningham I know Lamar mentioned him last week and the
- 1:06:16phenomenal season that young man put together means for him to
- 1:06:20think he was with seven. 39 or 38 indoors, 13 flat outdoors.
- 1:06:26And some 1310 about 100 times, he just been the model of
- 1:06:30consistency and, you know, my stalking about, you know, he's
- 1:06:33been kind of lost in the shuffle from the the Shine from Devon
- 1:06:37and Grand and the rest of the crew in the faking of Daniel
- 1:06:40upset, it upset him and everybody else at the USA
- 1:06:42championship. But I think that what that young
- 1:06:44man's done even having this coach Matt came, this year has
- 1:06:46been phenomenal, and I'm also going to go home again, but an
- 1:06:51ahall. I mean, I don't I'll have to
- 1:06:54lean on the morrow and the governor for this one.
- 1:06:55I don't know how many, you know, multis improve 500, some points
- 1:06:58in what year. So it's not normal, but it's not
- 1:07:03normal at all. May not not at her level, like
- 1:07:07sure. Like if you, you know, you go
- 1:07:09from like high school senior year to freshman year freshman
- 1:07:12year in college like that might happen.
- 1:07:14But like, as an established really good multi.
- 1:07:17Yeah. No, that doesn't happen.
- 1:07:19Well, let's call it what it is. She has raised her level every
- 1:07:24time the, the standard has changed, right?
- 1:07:29And it's something that as a coach, I mean, that is a dream,
- 1:07:34right? Lot of, for young athletes,
- 1:07:38there's always that point where it's just like, oh, wait a
- 1:07:41minute. My idol is like, right next to
- 1:07:45me. What am I supposed to do with
- 1:07:47this, right? Right?
- 1:07:49And a whole like bump that little want to be the best ever
- 1:07:55walk. This planet eggs, and make no
- 1:07:57bones about that. She and she understands the
- 1:07:59history of the event. She Embraces that she is
- 1:08:03absolutely in awe of Jackie. The person, not so much of the
- 1:08:07record. I mean, if something she wants
- 1:08:09to stay that record, right? And because, I think he went to
- 1:08:12understand about Anna is, it's like, she may be the most driven
- 1:08:15after been running my life. Like she does just nothing, she
- 1:08:19doesn't want to try this. She wants to be the absolute
- 1:08:21best ever. And it was a, it's been
- 1:08:24absolutely wonderful being able to work with her and grow
- 1:08:27through this because, you know, there were do some Growing Pains
- 1:08:29along the way. No.
- 1:08:30But I have actually watching her manage things was that has been
- 1:08:34phenomenal. So, here's the part that for me
- 1:08:39like that, I don't envy, I really don't envy, this aspect
- 1:08:44of your job. Is the fact that you have woman
- 1:08:49on your team that don't have what Anna has and, and I'm not
- 1:08:54throwing shade or anything like that, but no shared some shade
- 1:08:58taken trust. But but it is what it is.
- 1:09:00But it is a challenge. Stacy, here's here.
- 1:09:03The competition doesn't like it is simple, you know, wouldn't
- 1:09:06with us, there's it, whether it's from the very first team
- 1:09:09meeting of daily basis. In practice first team first,
- 1:09:13meet we have, we have a meeting ladies.
- 1:09:15Look, And you some pics, some of you have to be comfortable with
- 1:09:19being one of the best girls in the country and not be in the
- 1:09:22best role on this team. Exactly.
- 1:09:25And it doesn't help when you smile, I can deduce it like and
- 1:09:29it's like on our top 10 list of so many things right now.
- 1:09:31It's hot. It's like,
- 1:09:44if you ever have any intention, Of breaking, right?
- 1:09:47If it's not something you could see yourself doing then you know
- 1:09:50you're not that's not what you're going to accomplish and
- 1:09:53in that was in that regard. There's no way you would have
- 1:09:57told me or anyone else on this planet.
- 1:10:00If they're being honest, that by the end of the season, we'd be
- 1:10:05considering the fact that a female is going to run 1199 in
- 1:10:09the hurts. So one of the more amazing
- 1:10:12things I've seen this year, Toby Amazon and Coach Clark.
- 1:10:18Yes. Putting that together.
- 1:10:21Yes. Okay, because, which is funny
- 1:10:24because we you and I were we've been talking About this 12, one
- 1:10:26thing, right? Yes.
- 1:10:28So now we need to call this in debt because she, she beat us to
- 1:10:31it. I mean, you know, and, you know,
- 1:10:35I'm at Ragnar and I'm a nerd, right?
- 1:10:37So me privately like, in my aspiration, you know, journals
- 1:10:44or whatever. I'm like, yeah, 12.
- 1:10:47Oh, yes. Yeah, we could do that, but
- 1:10:50nobody thought you were going to actually see it this year,
- 1:10:54right? You know what I'm saying?
- 1:10:55And so I predicted Sid being sick.
- 1:11:02Ain't nobody had that. No one had nobody, and no one
- 1:11:05else. I let on to that Clyde.
- 1:11:09I never thought I would see the day.
- 1:11:12When pundits would openly questioned, grounder percent
- 1:11:19Timing Systems, right? And the world questioning, a of
- 1:11:24a little cut questioning, the validity of times run in the
- 1:11:28world championship and you know what something has to be wrong.
- 1:11:32You know what, you know, what sucks about that and we set it
- 1:11:35at the time. At least I said it loudly.
- 1:11:37We said it on the show, Michael Johnson doing that on the world
- 1:11:41Television, right? Was the lamest thing ever.
- 1:11:46But have you noticed what's happened since he did it because
- 1:11:49of who he is. Now, there's prominent coaches
- 1:11:52out there, throwing up tweets and Instagram videos, talking
- 1:11:56questioning Timing Systems as it like really like, we're gonna
- 1:11:59play that game now. We're opening that door.
- 1:12:02I like, okay. Okay, so so let's all missiles.
- 1:12:04So let's say, we brought in Michael, when you took from 1966
- 1:12:09to 1968 the way To do is watch your jog 12 for
- 1:12:34and first round. Yeah, right.
- 1:12:36At 9 at 10:00 in the morning, right?
- 1:12:39She did it again. Come with games here at 12.
- 1:12:41She went well for you. Got that part dialed in.
- 1:12:48Well 40 is the that's the safe girl when she's got that one
- 1:12:52dialed in. She ran she roams around to
- 1:12:55something to win it, right? Yeah, 29.
- 1:13:00And he yeah, with with none of her major comp in the race.
- 1:13:04So yeah. Like yeah, he was the third guy
- 1:13:14year ago and he went back and he got it, right.
- 1:13:18He's the only one I got better this year.
- 1:13:20So it's funny that you say those, I'm going to use those
- 1:13:23same words and listen, sometimes because we get, we get trapped
- 1:13:29by records, right? The world record and the women's
- 1:13:31100 is 10. 49 is what it is, right?
- 1:13:35But let's be clear, Shelly. I'm Frasier price PR dead this
- 1:13:41year. Mmm.
- 1:13:42And the governor did the research.
- 1:13:44Write the most people to run under 11 seconds in 1 years.
- 1:13:49Like 17 prior to this year, right?
- 1:13:52But she's run under 11 seconds, like 17 times this year, right?
- 1:13:58Like listen, listen to like you got to pay attention.
- 1:14:02She's 35 years old, she ran under ten seventy three times in
- 1:14:06three different places in eight days in a seven day span.
- 1:14:10Just this, let that wash over you folks stupid, that's season
- 1:14:14do not over. Yeah, that's, it's not over.
- 1:14:20And listen, we all know this crazy things happen, in Zurich,
- 1:14:25crazy things happen to Diamond World finds out that I'm a wall
- 1:14:28tiles claimed. It was crazy things happen in
- 1:14:31lausanne. Jean.
- 1:14:32And it's like, bro. She still has all of that in
- 1:14:34front of her. Yeah, yeah.
- 1:14:38Right, right? I just mean so, I mean, let me
- 1:14:41just let me just step in here. Guess how many women have run
- 1:14:45under 12 70 this year? Oh god.
- 1:14:48Oh, that's morning. Would you what?
- 1:14:50I was gonna say, that's guess. I'm going to say 51.
- 1:14:56It's not 40. No, no, no, no no.
- 1:15:05It feels like It feels like it feels like I could win a medal.
- 1:15:38Yeah, so let's look at 12, 5-12 5 is what took Nick to make the
- 1:15:44final at World Championships. 12 athletes have run under 12 5
- 1:15:49this year. See that's why it feels like 50
- 1:15:53that right that's literally feels like 50 so what are you so
- 1:15:56what are you telling Collegiate kids?
- 1:15:57Now like pay some money to go to school.
- 1:16:16Lamar from afar you were here and you saw three girls run 1260
- 1:16:21in the same race in Gainesville in April.
- 1:16:23Yeah. Let's 1260. 1258 1258, you know
- 1:16:27and in April and so like it's going to continue but you know
- 1:16:32how it is. I mean X.
- 1:16:33So now that Toby's done it, somebody else will go all she
- 1:16:36did it, I can do it, no one's a little around 51 seconds, you
- 1:16:39know, 52, low, Sid like okay, let's raise the bar, but but but
- 1:16:45in to begin to give Credit as soon as Sid and Bobby got
- 1:16:48together, you're like, it's over.
- 1:16:50It's because I can see, it's a wrap.
- 1:16:53I mean, let's hope so much. So that's so that's so true.
- 1:16:57So Boogie and a lil has been hit in the mouth.
- 1:17:00Let's see if they got the received a change of plan, you
- 1:17:03know, knowing those two as we do and don't change the plan, but I
- 1:17:06don't know if they can get the 50, 60, 80?
- 1:17:10I don't know if anybody else on the planet can do that, and
- 1:17:13that's it. Let's just, let's just a guy,
- 1:17:14right? I said this today about about
- 1:17:18about you is right. I think he goes the fastest, I
- 1:17:23think she's the fastest, I think she's the fastest triple Jumper
- 1:17:27in the world, but I know she's the tallest in the strongest,
- 1:17:31right? So it's like, wait a minute.
- 1:17:33There's only three parts to this fast long.
- 1:17:38Strong. Well, I know she's 2/3 of it and
- 1:17:41I think she's three thirds of it.
- 1:17:44So it's like, you know, like I took a picture of this and I put
- 1:17:48it in our, in our group chat. At right, like her list of
- 1:17:53accomplishments in the last year.
- 1:17:56Our I mean, I don't, I'm not sure if she remembers the last
- 1:18:00time, she didn't jump. 15 meters.
- 1:18:04Because it was a long time ago, and that's another one.
- 1:18:09You could see coming from a mile away, like I said, the first
- 1:18:12time I saw Rojas was World Juniors in Oregon and I'm like,
- 1:18:16oh, that one's different. Like what?
- 1:18:20Like what never heard of her but the Venezuelan girl is amazing
- 1:18:24and I don't care what place you got in this thing.
- 1:18:26That's the one right to the and Lamar threw it out there.
- 1:18:30We've had this conversation a few times. if you're a fan of
- 1:18:35long hurdles, Just go watch the races playing in slow mo and
- 1:18:41understand that Sydney is literally.
- 1:18:44It's a 400. She's nine steps less than
- 1:18:49everybody else. Now, you explain, if I just told
- 1:18:52you were going to run a 4 on it, And I'm going to take nine less
- 1:18:56strides than you are and we're going to finish.
- 1:18:59You tell me how you're going to beat me doing that.
- 1:19:02Well, it's the keys. She's taking those nights in the
- 1:19:04steps and efficiently because, yes, very efficient over.
- 1:19:07People, get over stride and get into that.
- 1:19:09They won't want to be as fast for sure.
- 1:19:11But but at, but what about, what you understand, what I'm saying?
- 1:19:14Like at everybody. Like, so, I mean, you know, Kim
- 1:19:26K bowl is really tall pretty damn fast.
- 1:19:30Yeah. Pretty damn fast.
- 1:19:31She adopts, that and figures out how to do it, or you just never
- 1:19:36going to win, unless they decide to sit in the same place.
- 1:19:39See, the problem with that is is like, see, Sid is not as tall as
- 1:19:44well. I don't think know, she's not
- 1:19:46hurt, but her, but her levers or long.
- 1:19:47Yes, exactly. Legs are longer and the bowl as
- 1:19:50I think bowl is more torso is longer, which makes yes, no.
- 1:19:54No, no, for sure. Yeah, but I mean, you have to go
- 1:19:57that direction because if you don't you're not going to,
- 1:20:00you're not going to close that actually doing what you do.
- 1:20:02We've had that. We've had discussion.
- 1:20:03Again, I don't know if she can. No, I don't think so.
- 1:20:24And she's all like there's like four or five that are that are
- 1:20:29right around 15 meters and I think they're all going to jump
- 1:20:3215 meters right? Real quick since August 29th to
- 1:20:372019 I'm a read these off to you real quick 15:41 1537 1503 1543
- 1:20:43for 1427 to 1471. I think she had the flu 15 14
- 1:20:4715, 43, 15 15, 15 34, 1512 1557, 1556 1548. 15:41 1574 1483.
- 1:20:58Again, the flu 1547 1501. That since August 29th of 2019.
- 1:21:07if you take the rest of the world, there's like 115, M jump
- 1:21:14in there, so that's why that's why she bored and wants to go
- 1:21:18long jump. But she was got to put on the
- 1:21:20right shoes. That's what we get, we gotta do.
- 1:21:25I'm talking about greatness, folks.
- 1:21:29You got talking about shrinkage acts like she's 21:45, she's
- 1:21:371071. And there's any doubt she'd 148
- 1:21:40seconds that she decided to run the ball.
- 1:21:43Bandu. I was she should be, she's
- 1:21:45becoming the best all-around women spreader ever.
- 1:21:49It's what she's become. I want to see a 400 next year
- 1:21:53between Sharika Sid and the and, and the wonderful Bahamian.
- 1:22:01I want to see that race. So so I, you know, I'm going to
- 1:22:06reserve my judgment until she decides to jump in one, you
- 1:22:11know, Like just ad hoc I'm going to run a for hurdles at the next
- 1:22:15Olympics, like privalova did and then I can say, okay, all right,
- 1:22:19you're the go because let's call it what it is.
- 1:22:24I mean, what pre below did in 2000 is just stupid.
- 1:22:27It's just stupid. But I want I wanted to just
- 1:22:32interject the Tory Franklin winning a medal, a medal in the
- 1:22:38women's triple jump. Okay, taken the steps that she
- 1:22:41did to go over to Europe and and trained in Greece and learn the
- 1:22:47techniques. And it's been a weight training
- 1:22:49and all of that stuff and to take that and come back home and
- 1:22:52win a medal on home soil, huge achievement, like there will
- 1:22:57never be another first. Right?
- 1:23:00And let's give the woman her flowers, okay?
- 1:23:04Unbelievable. Unbelievable performance in
- 1:23:08Eugene, and while you're giving those same flowers, like, let's
- 1:23:13just be clear, like, I was on the 96 team, the 2000 team and
- 1:23:18the women's throws in the women's triple Joan were the,
- 1:23:22they were the like want one. All right, so so your u.s.
- 1:23:26champ. That's why you got to come here?
- 1:23:28Got it. You'll be out.
- 1:23:29You are right and this and this year going in the world
- 1:23:33championships. The number one throws in the
- 1:23:35world. Come on the.
- 1:23:37In all of the throwing events is where American female American
- 1:23:40female, and then they, and then they showed up at the world
- 1:23:42championships and care when you're won a medal.
- 1:23:45We want, we want a couple of medals in the hammer.
- 1:23:47We won a couple medals in the shots like holy cow.
- 1:23:53Great, like, great. And this Mallory the biggest
- 1:23:56favor of the group, she actually didn't win but of course, It's
- 1:23:59one of metal. So I'm like you know what?
- 1:24:02You want to talk about? Amazing things that I've seen in
- 1:24:042022. Yeah.
- 1:24:06The emergence and an absolute surge of the women's throws
- 1:24:12globally. Yes.
- 1:24:14From the United States females. Yeah.
- 1:24:16Because that right there is like that happened in it.
- 1:24:18It happened in a year folks. Yeah.
- 1:24:22It happened in a year even if even if even if a needle and our
- 1:24:26chick doesn't get hurt like you still have an American female
- 1:24:30medalist in the hammer, right? So it's not like one of those
- 1:24:33like fluky things like they were really good everywhere.
- 1:24:39Big League. Wow, I was going to say and
- 1:24:42that's the amazing stuff that we decided to remember in 2022, so
- 1:24:47I'm sure we left some stuff off and you know, if you feel so
- 1:24:51inclined, please comment on it. But definitely, those are things
- 1:24:54that stuck out to everyone on the team more real quick.
- 1:24:57No loud 1931? You just leave it at that?
- 1:24:59Yeah. All's in and emails and all the
- 1:25:10other nonsense like yes, look Fred Curly did run under nine
- 1:25:13eighty three times in a row. Like, let's be clear.
- 1:25:15We saw that too. We didn't miss that.
- 1:25:18Wow, we didn't miss that wide you're up for.
- 1:25:23Would you rather sir how do I do?
- 1:25:48Oh, you know what the whole diaper thing is, like the most
- 1:25:51overrated Horror Story of Parenthood.
- 1:25:54I'm good with the diapers, got it.
- 1:25:56Okay. I'll share a story with you
- 1:25:58later. Would you rather divulge your
- 1:26:01mouth? What search history or your
- 1:26:03Twitter search history for recruiting?
- 1:26:07Say it again, I'll get it. Well, would you rather divulge
- 1:26:11your mile split search history or your Twitter search history
- 1:26:15for recruiting? Which one would you like to put
- 1:26:18on blast? So mouse was fine.
- 1:26:22Not much going on on Twitter, these days.
- 1:26:23Anyway, you know, in regards to recruiting selection, okay?
- 1:26:30Would you rather play Pictionary or sing karaoke?
- 1:26:35I do not sing. I'm a man who of many talents
- 1:26:40who recognizes the ones I do not have.
- 1:26:42I do not sing. I have never karaoke, I will not
- 1:26:46karaoke. So I will most definitely
- 1:26:49Pictionary. All right.
- 1:26:51Would you rather have the ability to be invisible on
- 1:26:53command, or teleport? Well and invisible invisible
- 1:27:04invisible. I get rid of hell.
- 1:27:05I want to go anywhere for slower.
- 1:27:09Would you rather win the lottery or inherit your riches?
- 1:27:15Oh, that's a good question. See I told you I thought I'd
- 1:27:19rather win the lottery, ain't nobody in my family, got money
- 1:27:22like that. Anyway, but if I won the
- 1:27:25lottery, I feel like you just pay me up front, I think.
- 1:27:32Yeah, the one hitter would you rather have a personal chef or a
- 1:27:36personal maid? I probably need the chef more
- 1:27:48than I do. Would you rather go on vacation
- 1:27:57or go to Bakersfield? But the person of your choice,
- 1:28:00there's nothing that I'd rather do.
- 1:28:02I am not going to Bakersfield for any reason.
- 1:28:06My in my boss, is awesome. So I will go anywhere except
- 1:28:09Bakersfield with Jeff Cohen. Oh my gosh.
- 1:28:12That I literally put that in there, specifically Bakersfield,
- 1:28:17I don't know. I'm not even really sure that
- 1:28:20we're allowed in Bakersfield. The Bakersfield driller maybe
- 1:28:25Kern County is not friendly. No, it's not.
- 1:28:30Would you rather listen to The Backstreet Boys?
- 1:28:32Christmas album? Or the Mariah Carey Chrissa
- 1:28:35Backstreet Boys. There's, there's no, no, no, not
- 1:28:40because they're better and all I heard forever with Mariah Carey.
- 1:28:52It's not, not after the fifth hundred-plus, not at all.
- 1:28:55It is fire. It's just, it's like how I feel
- 1:28:58about Shrek one time. When, when my oldest was a
- 1:29:02child, I had to watch Shrek beginning to end seven times in
- 1:29:06a row isn't is there not a prince Christmas album?
- 1:29:09I can listen to something. You know, that's the one as in
- 1:29:13the one thing. All right, gentlemen.
- 1:29:22Is yours. Hmm.
- 1:29:28Let's see what do I have for quiet tonight?
- 1:29:32Um, would you rather cop I grow up to be a major league baseball
- 1:29:40player? Or a neuro physicist that's
- 1:29:46really is this. So, all right, I mean it's I
- 1:29:50would be, let's be clear. I would be more proud of him for
- 1:29:55being a neuro physicist but last I checked baseball pays more and
- 1:30:02less work even if he never plays.
- 1:30:06Yeah, so I'll take the baseball and my and let's be clear.
- 1:30:11That gives that gives Lamar, you know.
- 1:30:14Yep, 17 years to become Scott boras.
- 1:30:17So look it up. The nephew is about to get the
- 1:30:22bags. One of the one of the poor
- 1:30:27decisions of my lifetime giving up on baseball because I was
- 1:30:30bored. I didn't understand the
- 1:30:32economics. That's pretty good.
- 1:30:39Alright, would you rather? Backpack, across Africa or
- 1:30:46backpack across Europe. Oh boy.
- 1:30:50I mean, backpacking across Europe.
- 1:30:53Sounds a lot safer. So, yeah, I'm definitely going
- 1:31:01to lean into my Italian side on this one.
- 1:31:08I mean, okay, alright, I understand.
- 1:31:11Hmm. But the chances of me coming
- 1:31:14home. Oh my God, better in, you doing
- 1:31:17it in the euro. You know, we have a tattoo that
- 1:31:21you need to get to Mica has this tattoo is his effort, a lien we
- 1:31:27need we need I need to hook up with this.
- 1:31:29Hey I need I need to hook you up with this.
- 1:31:31You will actually like it. I think I think actually this is
- 1:31:34something that I can't believe that we just now got to be mad
- 1:31:38at it. I'm not mad at it.
- 1:31:40Listen, I've had questions like there are countries in Africa
- 1:31:45that I absolutely need to go to and they're on my bucket list.
- 1:31:48Yeah. Being out in nature, in those
- 1:31:50countries, is not part of the list.
- 1:31:53It's not really, my thing. I'm a city boy.
- 1:31:56I'm sitting here right now, just saying, Omar redirect, would you
- 1:32:05rather or question, please? Geez, you know, my would you
- 1:32:13rather 444 Clyde? They're always entertaining,
- 1:32:19huh? I guess I'll ask a relatively
- 1:32:25straightforward and simple one. Wood.
- 1:32:38Given the option you can only coach one for the remainder of
- 1:32:43your life. Can't coach.
- 1:32:44Nobody else. Would you rather coach War home
- 1:32:51Bry? Let me bright Rye.
- 1:32:56For Sid. That was pretty simple for me.
- 1:33:01I want John Wick. I want I want to ride that.
- 1:33:07That was, that was pretty simple at the given at this point in
- 1:33:12the world. I'll explain at this point in
- 1:33:14the world. Hey, much else you could do was
- 1:33:16sit in that event. I mean, I'm sure her and Bobby
- 1:33:19are planning to run 49 just because they can.
- 1:33:22But, you know, the Mastery is accomplished.
- 1:33:25And honestly, I don't think we're home who I consider to be
- 1:33:29the goat. I don't think he can do much
- 1:33:32else that you know he can keep stacking Metals, right?
- 1:33:36But I don't know if he can go much past, 45 9, I believe and
- 1:33:40still believe and we continue to believe that ride Benjamin can
- 1:33:44do to the men's race. What Sydney is doing to the
- 1:33:46women. So that would be the challenge
- 1:33:48that I would want. Well, I'm proud of my question
- 1:33:51because at least at least it was a good question.
- 1:33:56Wow. With that said, I'm going to
- 1:33:59lean on our amazing things that happen in 2022 as our heartbeat
- 1:34:03props for all the things that happened in 2022 and our
- 1:34:07heartbeats props are 2020 to 2025, did Sir.
- 1:34:11Lucius ask Li the question he did, you know, physicist.
- 1:34:15Yeah. Well yes, with that said, We
- 1:34:21will draw this evening to a close that everyone farewell and
- 1:34:27see you next time. Have a good week, everyone.
- 1:34:34When the lights come on the boat.
- 1:34:36Stick to running with the lights.
- 1:34:37Come on. Would you like a hot knife to
- 1:34:47self-love punch when arms? Wouldn't be here, but we have to
- 1:35:05start running. You gotta understand.
- 1:35:07Rapes, gotta catch Stars. Show you how to fight for sure.
- 1:35:11So you are you lack experience, but still you want to talk and
- 1:35:14who is have to talk to yourself? Kind of small heads prevail when
- 1:35:18the backbone strong gotta keep it coming up, won't last long,
- 1:35:23Pastor felt instead of the session and if you don't check
- 1:35:26yourself and that's wrong, just trying to give you the rich
- 1:35:30asshole. So why you keep cutting us off
- 1:35:32to a small? We could.
- 1:35:34It in slow-mo what you fast-forward course.
