- 0:00We are experiencing massive stories in the precious metals
- 0:04sector. This is a special Saturday Night
- 0:06Live stream because, guys, there is so much going on.
- 0:09We're going to talk about the big story that everybody's
- 0:12talking about, the decoupling. But then we also have a Ron's
- 0:16Basement exclusive for us, the basement dwellers.
- 0:20We're always way ahead of the curve.
- 0:22And there's another story that we're going to focus on that
- 0:25could mean big, big things for the silver and the gold price
- 0:29for that matter. But we're going to focus on
- 0:31silver with this one. We'll get to that first.
- 0:34Let's go out and talk about $110 per oz silver by May.
- 0:40How do you like the sounds of that?
- 0:41Our favorite analyst, Rashad put out a new prediction and we're
- 0:46going to take a look at why he is saying this and dig into his
- 0:50chart a little bit. He says, this is my medium term
- 0:53view on silver. It tested key support levels and
- 0:57once the bottoming is over, Silver's initial price target
- 1:01could be 80 to 85, we'll take that and then 100 to 110 by May
- 1:09of 2026. Need I remind you in a few days
- 1:13we will be in April, so that is like 5 weeks from now.
- 1:17Once Silver takes out the all time high, the sky is the limit.
- 1:22Boy, Rashad, we like your optimism.
- 1:25Let's take a look at his chart and see what he is saying.
- 1:28Obviously guys, we are right here, right now.
- 1:32So what he is showing us is a move up more consolidation, a
- 1:37wedge, a move up more consolidation in that 110 range.
- 1:41And then as he said, the sky is the absolute limit.
- 1:47But the other thing I want to point out on this chart is there
- 1:52was an inverse head and shoulders pattern.
- 1:55Well, you know what, it's hard to see on here, but we've
- 1:57apparently broken out of that as well.
- 2:00And up upside down, shoulder head, shoulder, boom, up we go.
- 2:06So we love Rashad. We love his optimism and his
- 2:10accuracy because he has been accurate on a very uncanny
- 2:15level. But guys, we were already in
- 2:17we're, we're already in a new era for the precious metals
- 2:21right now, no doubt about it. But we could be and many are
- 2:25saying we are. And I'm feeling it moving into
- 2:30an unprecedented area within an unprecedented, I don't know, a,
- 2:34a, a sweet spot, if you might call it that within this.
- 2:38And that is the the decoupling of silver and gold from the
- 2:45general markets. Let's dig in.
- 2:47We got a number of interesting things, reasons why people are
- 2:51saying this. But here's just one of the
- 2:54popular post out there right now from silver trade.
- 2:57Did gold just decouple and silver, by the way, from risk
- 3:01assets? Hey, silver trade, come on, man.
- 3:05You got to, you got to put silver in here, brother.
- 3:07Gold spikes while the SPY, the S&P 500 plunges.
- 3:12That's what happened on Friday. Gold has been closely trading
- 3:15with the broad markets equities market since Sunday evening,
- 3:19March 1st at 9:30 AM this morning, this was yesterday that
- 3:24Co relation broke. OK, but it hold on here.
- 3:28I lost you. Hopefully you can see me and
- 3:30hear me. We got upstairs Susie with us
- 3:32today. Everybody say hi to that's my
- 3:34lovely wife upstairs Susie. She'll let me know if we can't
- 3:38be heard. But I've got some interesting
- 3:40insights for you on this. I've been digging into it all
- 3:43day long. OK, this could signal that the
- 3:48initial pull back, right? That every time there's a big
- 3:51crisis, C-19, the great financial crisis, and the list
- 3:56goes on and on, gold and silver, almost every time have an
- 3:59initial pullback, right, where the price drops, and then it's
- 4:03the first to turn around. And that could be, I think
- 4:07likely what we're seeing right now.
- 4:09Some people call that the liquidation phase.
- 4:12That means that there's turmoil, right?
- 4:15This time it was with the war, war, war, war.
- 4:19I always say it wrong anyway, right?
- 4:21And everybody needed money. And what do they sell?
- 4:24They sell their gold and silver because they need money.
- 4:28And it's like gold happens to be like the largest asset in the
- 4:32world of anything. So it's the easiest to sell.
- 4:35It's made a lot of profit, people sold.
- 4:38But then it's what happens every time as it turns around.
- 4:41So the liquidation phase could definitely be over right now.
- 4:46So not what we saw Friday. The general markets, the S&P
- 4:50500, the NASDAQ was down I think like 2%, while gold and silver
- 4:56did really, really well. You know what?
- 4:59Because when we got green on the charts, we want to go check it
- 5:02out. Let's run out and look at it
- 5:04really quickly. Yeah.
- 5:06So gold was up 115 dollars, 2 1/2%, silver up almost $2.00 at
- 5:152 1/2% while the general markets were struggling.
- 5:20But wait, there's more, OK, Gold and silver also went higher
- 5:25while interest rates are going higher.
- 5:27That's the big thing. The 20 year bond, the Treasury
- 5:30bond, the 30 year, the 20 years, like at 5%, OK, that's not good.
- 5:35That's a whole different. We could do a whole live stream
- 5:38on that, but that is freaking out the government because they
- 5:42can't afford high interest rates.
- 5:44But interest rates went up and gold and silver went up.
- 5:47But wait, there's more inflation going up, right?
- 5:51We know that and gold and silver going up Now that had been
- 5:55acting conversely or inversely prior to that, right?
- 5:59The inflation rate was going to go up.
- 6:01The feds going to raise rates. Remember, guys, this is so
- 6:04critical to remember. Don't worry about the Feds
- 6:08interest rates. As long as the inflation rate is
- 6:11higher than the interest rate, it doesn't matter if the Fed
- 6:14raises rates to 5%, right? Which should be like shocking,
- 6:18Oh my gosh, but which they can't do because they can't afford it.
- 6:22But anyway, if they did, as long as the inflation rates higher it
- 6:27like 8%, it's still golden for gold and silver.
- 6:32OK, The other thing oil was higher, right?
- 6:35That goes to with, with the, with the inflation rate, all
- 6:40these relationships that have been going on for the last three
- 6:42weeks seem to have broken potentially on Friday.
- 6:46It's very, very exciting. We're already on a big long
- 6:50term, short term noise. We talk about that all the time,
- 6:53right? And that's what we were
- 6:54experiencing, short term noise. We were already in a new era for
- 6:59precious metals, no doubt about it right now we could be coming
- 7:04into, do you remember after C-19 silver went down, I remember
- 7:08sitting right over there. I actually bought some silver
- 7:11over that weekend. It was like $12.00 per oz.
- 7:15And then literally like 5 weeks later, I don't have the data,
- 7:19but it was at least twice, I think maybe three times.
- 7:22It skyrocketed. OK.
- 7:24I think very likely and a lot of people think that's the
- 7:27situation right now. It's going to be interesting to
- 7:30see how this plays out in the coming weeks, quarters and
- 7:33years, right? And think about it, we, we are
- 7:36in the situation right now with the US economy.
- 7:39I talked to one of the smartest people in the room earlier today
- 7:43and he told me you got to realize right now, OK, we are in
- 7:48still in a stock market bubble. We are still in a bond market
- 7:54bubble, even though both the stock and bond markets have been
- 7:57going down. We are also in a real estate
- 8:00bubble. We have never been in this
- 8:02situation like this before in the country when this crisis
- 8:07hits, right? You know, look, look, I mean the
- 8:10writings on the wall, I don't have a crystal ball.
- 8:13Always be careful with any financial decisions you make, be
- 8:16responsible, all that. But when this crisis hits, it's
- 8:20going to be like none we've ever seen before.
- 8:22And I think the gold and silver investors are going to be
- 8:25sitting pretty. We've got a a viewer question
- 8:29about Russia and India and we're going to dig into some crazy
- 8:33data on both of them. This was an excellent question
- 8:37that came to us from did I show you this already?
- 8:43I think, yeah, I did. OK, let's go here.
- 8:45Sorry, guys. Here we go.
- 8:47Viewer question from James B4320.
- 8:51He says please comment on Russia stopping bullion shipments and
- 8:56India's 1st of April trillion bullion mutual fund.
- 9:00OK. Both of these, we're going to
- 9:02talk about them separately, are big, key major developments.
- 9:06First, let's talk about Russia. Here we go.
- 9:09This was big news and there's a couple of reasons why and couple
- 9:15things that people most people aren't talking about it why this
- 9:18is a big deal. But Russia bans export of gold
- 9:21bars over 100 grams, which is about 3 oz.
- 9:26The Russian government issued A decree prohibiting the export of
- 9:30refined gold bars weighing more than 100 grams from the country,
- 9:34effective May 1st. President Vladimir Putin
- 9:38announced that on Thursday. OK, they put it on their
- 9:42official legal portal, All that good stuff.
- 9:45Why is that a big deal and people are interested because
- 9:50there's also been news coming out that Russia Central Bank
- 9:53actually sold a little bit of gold.
- 9:56Okay, Russia. And apparently they sold that
- 10:00gold to China. And if you analyze what really
- 10:04went on, it had to do more with helping China and Russia further
- 10:10back their currencies with gold. OK, But the more important thing
- 10:15about what Russia is doing, All right, take a step back, right?
- 10:19Look at the how do you, how do you don't judge people on what
- 10:24they say? Judge them on what they're doing
- 10:27right, or, or, or, or, or what the facts look like when the
- 10:31writing's on the wall. Russia is one of the world's
- 10:34biggest gold producers. OK, they don't have a shortage
- 10:38of gold, but now they're saying we aren't going to allow export
- 10:42of I keep hitting that garn gong, the golden gong from
- 10:45China. Anyway, we aren't going to allow
- 10:47exports of gold over 100 grams over what essentially 3 ounces.
- 10:54That tells us that what's happening on a big picture in
- 10:57the world right now. Now the second part of the
- 11:00viewers question was about II. The news out of India is
- 11:04unbelievable, especially for silver when you focus in on
- 11:09silver. OK, there's three big things
- 11:12going on with India. Let's pull we'll go out to the
- 11:15the Silver Academy. I think it is.
- 11:18Yeah, the Silver Academy. Great Substack, but they've got
- 11:22a list. I'll just run through this
- 11:23quickly with you. But there's three big reasons
- 11:26why what India is doing with silver in particular is
- 11:29stunning. India's market regulator just
- 11:32outlawed Western price rigging. A new era for gold and silver
- 11:36begins. Right?
- 11:37That was from Reuters. OK, that's part of what's going
- 11:40on, or I'm sorry, the part from Reuters.
- 11:43India market regulator changes gold, silver valuation for
- 11:47mutual funds. Let's just get all the way down
- 11:50here. We'll go to the one 2-3 punch.
- 11:53LBMA, this is super interesting. OK, Gut punch, the Sebby, which
- 11:58is the Indian equivalent of like the SEC in the United States.
- 12:05They axed the LBMA. India's fund ditched Western
- 12:09pricing for the MCX domestic spot.
- 12:12That was the first thing that happened.
- 12:15OK, They said, sorry LBMA, we don't think your price is real.
- 12:20Maybe you agree with them as well.
- 12:23I know I do. We're going to use our own
- 12:25internal market pricing for pricing gold and silver in our
- 12:29mutual funds. The next thing #2 the Chin
- 12:33uppercut the, the, the official Bank of the Central Bank of
- 12:38India green lights silver as bank loan collateral starting on
- 12:43April 1st. We've talked about this a lot
- 12:45not even a month out at this point now monetizing jewelry
- 12:49drawers nationwide basically. And this is huge news in India
- 12:53because Indian people, India has like 28,000 metric tons of gold
- 12:59in their households. And who knows how much silver
- 13:02Indian people have. And now their main banking
- 13:07apparatus is allowing people to basically this is the
- 13:10monetization of silver, to take the silver to the bank.
- 13:15They don't have to sell it if they need to raise money, if
- 13:17they need cash, right, temporarily, they can actually
- 13:21bring the silver and use it as collateral.
- 13:24But the knockout, and that's the question that was from the
- 13:27viewer, is the 384 billion equity funds are now allowed to
- 13:32pile into gold and silver. I also did hear estimates of up
- 13:36to a trillion, but we're going to be conservative and say 384
- 13:41billion. Yes, yes, I am right here.
- 13:47Yes, I am on the right screen, I think.
- 13:49Hold on. Let me make sure.
- 13:50Yeah, you guys were on the right screen.
- 13:54That's OK. Upstairs, Susie.
- 13:56We all love you Upstairs, Susie. This allows for, I think it's 30
- 14:01percent, 25%. A big percent of equity funds
- 14:06can now for the first time buy gold and silver.
- 14:11OK, there it is. There it is from Stocks World.
- 14:13India now allows countries 384 billion equity fund to add gold
- 14:17and silver. OK, It's, it's, it is absolutely
- 14:22incredible. But let's not forget about
- 14:23China, right? Because when we talked about
- 14:26Russia, OK, not allowing export of gold, pretty sure that's the
- 14:31same thing with China. And China happens to be the
- 14:34second biggest producer of gold. We got the interesting video out
- 14:39of China to look at here in a second.
- 14:40China's the second biggest producer of gold in the world.
- 14:45And what about demand in China? Yeah, we're going to go to the
- 14:48Shenz and then we're going to learn what the Shenzhen Shubai
- 14:53market really is all about. But let's get an update about
- 14:56what's happening at one of the world's largest gold and silver
- 15:00markets from our friend David Lee.
- 15:04This is hot off the presses. Shenzhen Shubai Gold Market on
- 15:09Saturday, 3/28 at 2:30 PM. Gold jewelry is being sold at
- 15:14$5265 per oz, Gold bars $4684 per oz, Platinum 2187 and silver
- 15:26jewelry Emphasize that jewelry is at $100 per oz.
- 15:32Key observations a lot of people, but it's not as crowded
- 15:36as last weekend. OK, many shoppers are young
- 15:39people, young couples, but this looks pretty darn crowded to me.
- 15:43Let's go on a little field trip to the Shenzhen.
- 15:45Then we're I'm going to it's, I'm going to give you some
- 15:48information about this market. I love China.
- 16:07You know what he just said? Welcome to Ron's basement.
- 16:10Oh, by the way, don't forget, he said.
- 16:12Don't forget to press the subscribe button and give it a
- 16:15thumbs up. Oh, shoot there.
- 16:20Hold on. Let me see if I can go back.
- 16:21Look at the escalator. It looks uh Oh, no.
- 16:45There's the escalator again, escalators packed.
- 16:48And I tell you what, basement dwellers, someday, someday when,
- 16:54when we really when our ship, when our ship really comes in
- 16:58with gold and silver, we'll all together go on a field trip to
- 17:01the Shenzhen Shubai market in China.
- 17:04And let's, I just want to give you because we, we look at this
- 17:06quite often. I did a little oh, oh, here it
- 17:10is. Here it is.
- 17:11Don't worry, a little research for you on the market, ask the
- 17:17Google AI. The Shenzhen Shubai Market is
- 17:20China's largest, most advanced gold and jewelry trading hub and
- 17:25silver responsible for over 70% of the country's annual gold
- 17:30trading volume and 80% of its diamond imports.
- 17:34Located in the Luha District, it functions as a primary wholesale
- 17:39manufacturing cluster offering gold, diamonds, pearls, silver,
- 17:44and custom jewelry designs. This video takes you on a tour.
- 17:47We won't go there, but there's some nice, beautiful Chinese
- 17:51young ladies. Very interesting.
- 17:53OK, let's go to the Doom next. We're going to go to the Doom
- 17:56side because look, things are not looking good at all right
- 18:00now in the US economy, period. And with the writing is on the
- 18:06wall and we're going to talk about something happening not
- 18:09just in the US economy, but on the world economy that is
- 18:13downright frightening, no doubt about it.
- 18:15I do need to take a minute to say thank you to our sponsors,
- 18:18Brixton Metals, Canadian Metals Exploration Company.
- 18:22They got big projects up in British Columbia and in the
- 18:26United States. They have copper, gold, silver,
- 18:29nickel, cobalt, you name it. Great.
- 18:32It's a stock I've owned five years before they sponsored my
- 18:36channel, but Gary Thompson, the CEO, just had an interview with
- 18:40him. You can check that out.
- 18:41Also. Our friends at first meant the
- 18:44silver specialist meant being before I came on.
- 18:47I tell you what, if you don't like holding an ounce of silver
- 18:50in your hand, you're in the wrong basement.
- 18:54Go to some other basement, I don't know, pets or whatever.
- 18:57Check that out. That's their the back of their
- 19:00Buffalo round and when the light hits it just right, I mean it
- 19:05really is it's it's absolutely stunning.
- 19:09First mint is doing a great job getting silver into the hands of
- 19:13retail investors all around the United States.
- 19:17They get their silver from first Majestic, right.
- 19:20So it comes from the mine to the mint directly to you.
- 19:24They've got a great discount code VIPRB.
- 19:27And I also want to say thank you.
- 19:28Hold on here. Let me pull it up real quick so
- 19:30you can get the discount code. There it is, right there.
- 19:35Should be on your screen. Nope, it's not.
- 19:38Hold on guys, there we go. Now you can see it.
- 19:41I got it circled in green. They have a $2 off special right
- 19:44now on cast bars as well. And there's Brixton Metals
- 19:49website, bricksandmetals.com. And thank you also to 1st Mining
- 19:54Gold, another stock that I've owned for five years, long
- 19:58before they sponsored the channel.
- 19:59Canadian development stage Gold Company with two 2 multi million
- 20:05ounce projects in Canada, Spring Pole in Ontario and Duparque
- 20:10located in Quebec. You can learn more about them at
- 20:13firstmininggold.com. It is getting downright scary
- 20:17out there. Look, this is this.
- 20:19Let's let's look at this story. That's getting a lot of a lot to
- 20:25hold on. Here it is right here.
- 20:27A lot of press and rightfully so.
- 20:29OK FX Hedge says this. Is this the beginning of a
- 20:35repeat of Lehman Brothers 2008? UBS, right?
- 20:40The giant Swiss bank just halted withdrawals of a 470 million
- 20:47real estate fund and told investors they can't have their
- 20:51money back for up to three years.
- 20:55Why does this matter? Because back in June of O 7,
- 20:58Bear Stearns did the same thing at two of their hedge funds.
- 21:01One year later, Lehman Brothers collapsed and the global
- 21:04financial crisis happened. UBS looked at their real estate
- 21:09portfolio, realized the buildings are not worth what
- 21:13they paid for them, right? And they cannot sell them
- 21:17without admitting a huge loss. Guys, this is, is becoming a
- 21:22massive story and a massive problem.
- 21:25Why, right? It's the private credit, it's
- 21:28this that's going on. These big financial companies,
- 21:33right, have big, big loan portfolios and they're not
- 21:36recognizing speculation, right? They're, they're, they're
- 21:42engaged in what I like to refer to is Disneyland accounting,
- 21:46right? They're not marking the loans in
- 21:49the in the collateral for the loans to the actual market.
- 21:54They just leave it at what like what the actual market is like.
- 21:56Maybe they loaned out money on a big office building.
- 22:01They loaned out $100 million four or five years ago.
- 22:04Right now that that building that was worth 100 million four
- 22:08or five years ago maybe is worth 60 million or 70 million, but
- 22:13they aren't recognizing that. And then when people go and say,
- 22:16Hey, I want my money back and the same things happening right
- 22:19now, you're going to hear a lot. And it's very, very important
- 22:22for us to to understand this and stay on top of it about private
- 22:27credit, right? Same thing.
- 22:28The private credit, these big private credit companies loaned
- 22:32out money, mostly the software companies that aren't even
- 22:36making money, a lot of them are cash flow negative, right?
- 22:39And they're not recognizing that, hey, we may not get our
- 22:43money back from, in this case, this example speculation the
- 22:48software companies. So then the investors that gave
- 22:52these big financial companies $1,000,000 a 100,000, whatever
- 22:57are going and saying, hey, I want my money back.
- 23:00And you know what they're all saying, sorry, we can't remember
- 23:04that the, we, we can only give you half your money back.
- 23:07We can give you half of what you're requesting.
- 23:09And, and, and UBS is actually saying from what that says, we
- 23:15can't give you anything for three years.
- 23:18OK, this is, and then I'll move on, I promise.
- 23:22But this is very similar to what happened in O7O8 with the great
- 23:26financial crisis. These big financial companies
- 23:30put together all these crappy mortgages, right, And created
- 23:33these things called mortgage-backed securities and
- 23:37then sold it to investors saying, oh, you can make 8%,
- 23:40nine percent on your money. We got this pool of mortgages
- 23:44and it we put it together, it's the greatest financial
- 23:47innovation ever, right? Yeah, until it all goes belly up
- 23:52and people didn't get their money back and people lost
- 23:54millions of dollars and it caused the great financial
- 23:57crisis. Some people are speculating,
- 24:00right? And not just that guy.
- 24:02We just looked at not like, like all the smart people that we
- 24:06could be heading in that same direction right now.
- 24:10What about got another viewer giving us Intel from Australia?
- 24:18I'll just read what he says right?
- 24:20I cannot confirm or deny but dune buggy 43O9 says Hey Ron,
- 24:26great content, cheers. From Perth which is in
- 24:29Australia. Just thought it might interest
- 24:32you to know that I tried to transfer unallocated right to
- 24:36allocated gold today at the Perth Mint and was formed.
- 24:40Was informed I cannot withdraw the gold for six months.
- 24:45Thought it might interest your viewers.
- 24:47So unallocated means when like you own precious metals and it's
- 24:52in a mint, but you don't have like a specific part of it that
- 24:58belongs to you. Allocated means they've taken
- 25:00your part, they separated it. They say these 100 oz 1000 oz,
- 25:06whatever it may be belongs to this exact person according to
- 25:10my understanding and what this message says.
- 25:14The Perth Mint is telling this gentleman and I appreciate the
- 25:19input that oh, did I forget to share the screen?
- 25:22Yep, I did sorry. There it is right there.
- 25:24Sorry guys that that you cannot have your your gold.
- 25:29I don't know if that's gold or silver, I forget, but for up to
- 25:33six months. So very interesting.
- 25:35Wouldn't it be nice, wouldn't it be nice if somebody in the White
- 25:41House loved gold? Get a load of this.
- 25:44Let's listen to what our president.
- 25:46Not a political show, not saying good, bad, indifferent.
- 25:50I'm not a political. This bronze basement is
- 25:53apolitical. I do have my beliefs, but I keep
- 25:55them to myself. But this is interesting.
- 25:58Gold Telegraph shared this little clip from the President
- 26:02of the United States, Donald Trump.
- 26:05Listen to this. It's only 20 seconds long.
- 26:09Everyone said it's so much more beautiful now instead of a cheap
- 26:12you can't imitate gold. See, I'm a gold person.
- 26:14It's all real stuff. You can't imitate it.
- 26:17They've someday they'll discover a paint that will look like gold
- 26:21and the guy's going to be the richest man in the world.
- 26:24But you can't imitate real gold. Just as in it's 24 karat, which
- 26:30is what this building deserves. But think beautiful.
- 26:36All right, guys, hold on. We're back.
- 26:39And by the way, thank you for joining me down here in the
- 26:41basement. I love the basement dweller
- 26:43community. You guys are awesome.
- 26:45Thank you. Thank you.
- 26:47We love to talk about gold and silver, but there's something
- 26:50about silver in particular that nobody else is talking about.
- 26:54Look, on this channel, 3 years ago, we talked about stagflation
- 26:58all the time. Now everybody's talking about
- 27:01stagflation and we know it. We didn't even talk about it
- 27:04today. We knew it was coming 23 years
- 27:06ago. It was pretty obvious to us.
- 27:09But there's something else particular to silver.
- 27:12We're going to look at all the industrial uses of silver.
- 27:15We're going to zoom through it for fun in a second.
- 27:17But there's something even more powerful about silver that I
- 27:22think as I look out around the corner, as we together look out
- 27:26into the future, is a key component of what silver is that
- 27:32could continue to provide. Unbelievable support tailwinds
- 27:39for the silver price as we head into the future.
- 27:42And that is the fact that silver is a monetary metal, OK, we
- 27:48forget about that. We're all excited about all
- 27:51these industrial uses. And then it, it is awesome.
- 27:54It's incredible. I mean, what silver is being
- 27:57used for, consumed for what it does, we'll talk about that.
- 28:01But what's even more exciting is realizing that at its core,
- 28:06silver is a monetary metal. OK, gold, I want you to think
- 28:11about this. Gold has been lately, let's say
- 28:14the last two or three years in particular, being re recognized
- 28:18or reclaim, reclaiming its place in the world as a key monetary
- 28:25metal, right? The world's original reserve
- 28:29currency is what we like to call it down here in the basement.
- 28:34But silver is just as important, right?
- 28:38It's my understanding that silver was actually the monetary
- 28:42metal before gold. Silver was used as money before
- 28:46gold. So think about this.
- 28:48Gold has just now been re recognized, been reclaiming its
- 28:53place as a monetary metal. Silver will be next.
- 28:58And think about it right? Why did the world's all the
- 29:02world's sovereign mints, the Austrian Mint, the the UK Royal
- 29:06Mint, the United States Mint, you name it, they all produce
- 29:12the sovereign mints silver coins.
- 29:15That's the base take. Don't even think about all the
- 29:19industrial uses. Think about the fact that silver
- 29:23right is a monetary metal and will continue as we move into
- 29:29these coming years to be re recognized.
- 29:33It will reclaim its place. And then on top of that, you
- 29:38layer all this incredible industrial use.
- 29:42And I got something we're going to look at now.
- 29:44But it, I mean, it's unbelievable to think five years
- 29:48out, 10 years out. I mean, I, I don't know.
- 29:50I to me, it's, it's very obvious that silver has, pardon the pun,
- 29:57but a bright shiny future. And let's run out there.
- 30:00We're going to say hi to Donald Trump, President of the United
- 30:03States again, but let's go to this and we'll zip through this.
- 30:08But it's a very interesting from GR reserve industrial uses of
- 30:12silver. There's an American Silver Eagle
- 30:15picture does not do it justice. Industrial applications consume
- 30:20680 million ounces of silver in 2024, almost 60% of total global
- 30:27demand. OK, you can go read this, but
- 30:29there's some unbelievable points why silver dominates electronics
- 30:34manufacturing. Of course, because it is the
- 30:37most electrically conductive metal on the face of the earth.
- 30:42Everything else is measured off of base.
- 30:45Silver conducts electricity way better than copper.
- 30:48The reason why they use copper is because it's much more.
- 30:51It's much more abundant and cheaper, right For like the
- 30:55wires in your house, that type of thing.
- 30:57Copper, I believe is like only 85% of as conductive as silver
- 31:04and it generates heat, right? That's what that's why I like an
- 31:07extension cord will get warm or anything in your house that's
- 31:10got copper wires will get warm because that other 15% is what
- 31:14creates heat. OK, electronics consume only 450
- 31:19million in 2023. Wow.
- 31:22OK, 1/3 of total electronic now represents 1/3 of total silver
- 31:27demand this I thought this was interesting.
- 31:30Smartphones about 300 milligrams of silver.
- 31:34Laptops about 750 milligrams of silver.
- 31:39Televisions 1 to 2G per unit in display technology and
- 31:44processors, gaming consoles 2 to 3 grams in servers.
- 31:49We know right? Are are are eating up the world
- 31:52silver as AI continues to grow at an exponential rate.
- 31:58China produces more than 70% of global electronics.
- 32:01I didn't know that AI and data centers are expanding.
- 32:04And then of course solar. This is interesting.
- 32:08OK, solar panels used almost 200 million ounces of silver in
- 32:142024, representing nearly 1/5 of total global demand.
- 32:20OK, that's not production because the whole mining sector
- 32:24only only produced 800. They so so solar panels consume
- 32:2925% of the actual mining output for the whole year.
- 32:35It's that figures tripled in the last nine years.
- 32:38And it says each solar panel right now requires approximately
- 32:4320 grams of silver in conductive paste applied to silicone
- 32:48waivers. Hold on, Susie, did you yell at
- 32:50me? I must be hearing things.
- 32:53Sorry, guys, the global solar installation trends are just
- 32:58going through the roof. OK, long term supply demands,
- 33:02but electric vehicles, OK, but real quickly, silver content by
- 33:07vehicle type, even gas cars are using almost an ounce of silver
- 33:12hybrids, an ounce or or more of E electric battery electric
- 33:18vehicles, almost 2G. But don't forget, right, the and
- 33:23the number of EVs is expanding like crazy, but don't forget.
- 33:28And then we're going to go to the charging because we never
- 33:30talked about charging infrastructure and how much they
- 33:33use. That's crazy.
- 33:34But guys, the other big thing are solid-state batteries coming
- 33:38online where some people are saying they could use almost a
- 33:41kilogram, almost over 30 oz each, right?
- 33:45And the Toyota, all the big manufacturers are moving in that
- 33:49direction with the solid-state batteries because they are
- 33:55lighter weight, they don't catch on fire.
- 33:57They charge in a fraction of the time and you can drive like
- 34:01twice as far compared to the current EV batteries.
- 34:05But charging infrastructure, this was new charging stations
- 34:09deployed. Deployment amplifies automotive
- 34:12silver demand beyond the vehicles themselves.
- 34:15Each fast charging unit requires 1 to 2 kilograms of silver and
- 34:21power electronics and connections.
- 34:23OK, plans for millions of public charging installations are in
- 34:28are in place by 20. That's a lot of silver for each
- 34:31one of those charging stations that you see something we never
- 34:35talk about, OK. Then they talk about emerging
- 34:38technology, solid-state batteries, medical applications.
- 34:42All right, our massive uses of silver because of the
- 34:45antimicrobial component, not only is silver very thermally
- 34:51conductive, electrically conductive, but it's also
- 34:54antimicrobial, which is why we hear about kids having silver
- 34:58spoons in their mouths. But medical, I don't know, it
- 35:02just goes on and on. OK, brazing, soldering alloys,
- 35:06chemical catalyst, silver, but let's bring it back home here,
- 35:10right? Silver has more patents on it or
- 35:14more patents at the US Patent Office have silver in it than
- 35:18any other metal, I think even than any other thing on the
- 35:21periodic table. It's absolutely crazy.
- 35:24Think of that. All that stuff we just talked
- 35:27about, Everything has this in it here.
- 35:31You're the horse doesn't have this in it because that's in my
- 35:35basement, baby. That's the year of the horse
- 35:38coin from First Mint. Everything has silver in it, but
- 35:42the key thing to remember is that that's just a lot of good
- 35:47icing on a really good cake. But the cake is the fact that
- 35:52silver is a monetary metal. That's what I believe.
- 35:55That's what I know. Silver was money before gold,
- 35:59and gold and silver are the world's reserve currencies.
- 36:03It's in the United States Constitution, for crying out
- 36:06loud, right? Silver and gold, It's a sorry,
- 36:09it's in the, I forgot to ring the gong when I talked about
- 36:13China. It's in the United States
- 36:15Constitution. So all this wonderful talk about
- 36:18silver investment demand, OK, I forgot to mention that one.
- 36:23I apologize, my fellow basement dwellers, investment demand, all
- 36:28the industrial uses. But the reality is that just
- 36:31really sits on top of the fact that it is a monetary metal in
- 36:35just like gold has been wreaked. It's not claiming it, it's
- 36:39reclaiming, OK? It's been there for 5000 years
- 36:44doing it. It was just there was a
- 36:47temporary mirage. Here, let me close your eyes for
- 36:52one second and I'll show you what that mirage is.
- 36:55OK, Open your eyes. Paper money, if you're in
- 37:01Europe, right, take a euro floats by.
- 37:03If you're in Australia, take an Australian dollar.
- 37:06You guys are everywhere, which is awesome and we appreciate it.
- 37:09But it's a, it's always been money.
- 37:12And if you look at it from that perspective, the future looks
- 37:16very, very, very bright. So hey, guys, thank you so much
- 37:21for being here today. Hold on here.
- 37:23I'm hopefully you can still see me and hear me have a great rest
- 37:27of your Saturday night, Susie and I say thank you.
- 37:30If you enjoyed your time in the basement, please subscribe to
- 37:33the channel. It's free.
- 37:35OK, We still got that special going on.
- 37:38Give this a thumbs up. But most important, take care of
- 37:41yourself. Be safe out there.
- 37:43Remember, I'm not a financial advisor and always be
- 37:47responsible, always diversify all that great stuff with with
- 37:51your with your financial decisions.
- 37:53But I think me personally, I believe that silver and gold and
- 37:57precious metals mining stocks offer a great way to weather the
- 38:02storms that will likely be facing.
- 38:05Take care, OK? And I'll see you.
- 38:08And yeah, I see you.
