- 0:00Speaker 1: Mark Simone's back on seventeen wor.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Well, hey, we got a lot to get to this hour. Now.
- 0:16Speaker 2: You know, whatever President Trump does, it's wrong. Whatever he
- 0:19Speaker 2: does is wrong, according to the fake news, anything he does,
- 0:23Speaker 2: it's wrong. They're yelling and screaming. Why did he he
- 0:26Speaker 2: reduced the number of troops we have in South Korea?
- 0:28Speaker 2: They're very upset about this. If he had increased the
- 0:31Speaker 2: number of troops, they'd be very upset. Why does he increased?
- 0:35Speaker 2: So whatever he does is wrong. Everything is wrong. You know,
- 0:40Speaker 2: there's been a lot of controversy about all these mail
- 0:43Speaker 2: in voting because mail in voting has gotten totally out
- 0:47Speaker 2: of control. It used to be you know, if somebody
- 0:49Speaker 2: was away or they're overseas. It's also military, or if
- 0:54Speaker 2: you're not going to be in your home state. Let's
- 0:55Speaker 2: say you live in New York, but you're going to
- 0:57Speaker 2: be in California for a couple of months. He can
- 1:00Speaker 2: vote by mail. That's what it's for. But it got
- 1:03Speaker 2: abused by Democrats and I'm sure Republicans do it too,
- 1:06Speaker 2: but it got totally out of control. So now they vote,
- 1:13Speaker 2: here's the results. Oh wait a minute, we got to
- 1:15Speaker 2: wait for the mail in votes. Next thing. You know,
- 1:17Speaker 2: the mail in votes are more than the regular votes.
- 1:20Speaker 2: You know, the millions of mail in votes are coming in.
- 1:24Speaker 2: Nobody knows from where. So people have been complaining about it.
- 1:27Speaker 2: It's very controversial. It should be looked at and stopped
- 1:31Speaker 2: from getting out of control. So it's a good thing
- 1:36Speaker 2: to do. President Trump has talked about it. A lot
- 1:38Speaker 2: of people have talked about it. Here's a big headline.
- 1:41Speaker 2: Trump votes by mail just one month after calling it
- 1:45Speaker 2: inherently corrupt. Why you know, it's the Republican primary tonight
- 1:50Speaker 2: and he voted by mail because the president is now
- 1:53Speaker 2: a Floridian he's an actual citizen of Florida. He officially
- 1:58Speaker 2: lives in Florida and not New York anymore. But he's
- 2:01Speaker 2: the president. He's in Washington, d C. In the White House,
- 2:03Speaker 2: so he had a vote by mail. So here he's
- 2:05Speaker 2: getting attacked. And how Darry vote by mail after calling
- 2:09Speaker 2: it corrupt? How Darry use a mail Well, this is
- 2:12Speaker 2: exactly what a mail in ballot is for. This is
- 2:16Speaker 2: exactly what it's for. It's not supposed to be millions
- 2:19Speaker 2: of citizens who live two feet from the pole, but
- 2:22Speaker 2: the mail in ballid it's not for that. It's for
- 2:26Speaker 2: a guy like this who lives in Florida but because
- 2:29Speaker 2: of his job, has to be away from Florida and
- 2:32Speaker 2: can't get back there. So that's exactly what it's for.
- 2:36Speaker 2: But they'll yell at him for anything he does. Anything.
- 2:41Speaker 2: You're yelling and screaming about this USS Lincoln, this aircraft carrier.
- 2:46Speaker 2: Why has he been out at sea so long? Will
- 2:48Speaker 2: they just announce they're replacing it, They're sending another aircraft
- 2:50Speaker 2: carrier to relieve it. Now, as soon as that aircraft
- 2:53Speaker 2: carrier gets there, watch, they'll start yelling at him. Why
- 2:56Speaker 2: did he take the Lincoln out? Why did he stop
- 2:58Speaker 2: doing it? Hey, we were talking about Jared Kushner before
- 3:01Speaker 2: he was in Israel yesterday to negotiate with net and Yahoo.
- 3:08Speaker 2: But also do you know that he met with Hamas.
- 3:13Speaker 2: He met with hamas face to face talks with a
- 3:17Speaker 2: mass Kushner reports they said all the right things, They
- 3:23Speaker 2: said all the right things, but obviously it's very hard
- 3:25Speaker 2: to trust them, you know, a terrorist organization. Yeah, I
- 3:30Speaker 2: don't know what the point is of the face to
- 3:32Speaker 2: face talks. You know, Sometimes it's to threaten these guys,
- 3:35Speaker 2: you know, to let them know, but if you're Jared Kushner,
- 3:38Speaker 2: have you ever heard him talk? We were able to
- 3:40Speaker 2: go through some of the misunderstandings and misinformation that's been
- 3:43Speaker 2: out about it as well. I mean certain things like,
- 3:45Speaker 2: can't you can't send him to threaten people, not with
- 3:47Speaker 2: that voice, not the way he looks. Because if you
- 3:50Speaker 2: send him to meet with AMAS and he's seen you guys,
- 3:53Speaker 2: but if you don't, it's not too threatening. Yeah, send
- 3:58Speaker 2: General Jack Keane or send somebody to threaten him. Jared
- 4:03Speaker 2: Krishni Tri said no, it's not going to sound too scary.
- 4:06Speaker 2: He said, we had a very cordial meeting. It's a
- 4:10Speaker 2: mass you having a cordial meeting with a moss And
- 4:13Speaker 2: they said all the right things. So we're gonna give
- 4:14Speaker 2: them a chance to perform. It's going to have to
- 4:17Speaker 2: be based on actions and steps, and I hope it
- 4:20Speaker 2: will be all true. I think, I don't think. I
- 4:24Speaker 2: think when Jared left the room, all the Hamas looked
- 4:27Speaker 2: at each other and went, I don't think it was
- 4:31Speaker 2: too effective. Uh, Bill Maher, good for him yelling at
- 4:36Speaker 2: the left again, get over your silliness. You know they're
- 4:40Speaker 2: compared he was talking about. But they started comparing Ice
- 4:42Speaker 2: to the Iranian regime. Marson, get over your silliness. It's
- 4:49Speaker 2: absolutely ridiculous. Uh. He gets a lot of flak for that,
- 4:54Speaker 2: but give him credit. He stands up to the crazy
- 4:56Speaker 2: Democrats and tells him the truth every so often. Hey,
- 5:00Speaker 2: I remember we're talking about Bruce Blakeman has a slight
- 5:03Speaker 2: problem fundraising. He's raised a lot of money and he's
- 5:08Speaker 2: doing very well. He's campaigning very hard, he's catching up
- 5:11Speaker 2: in the polls. The problem is a lot of the big, big,
- 5:14Speaker 2: big Republican donors would normally be given it. They all
- 5:18Speaker 2: love Blakeman, they're all praying Blakeman gets elected. But some
- 5:21Speaker 2: of them are afraid to donate to them because they're
- 5:24Speaker 2: doing a ton of business in New York and they
- 5:26Speaker 2: don't want to offend Kathy Hochel. So that's a problem
- 5:30Speaker 2: you gonna deal with. But you just got to start
- 5:33Speaker 2: opening the floodgates. And once they start doing it, they'll
- 5:37Speaker 2: all start doing it. Maybe. Now you got one here,
- 5:40Speaker 2: very prominent Democratic donor, big Democratic donor. It's Bonnie Engelbart Lautenberg.
- 5:48Speaker 2: Sound familiar. Yeah, she's the widow of Frank Lautenberg, the
- 5:51Speaker 2: big Democratic senator, and she's been a big contributor to Democrats,
- 5:56Speaker 2: whether it's Hillary Clinton, Kathy Hokeel. She's a died old
- 6:00Speaker 2: Democratic donor, contributed to a Hokel last time. She's now
- 6:04Speaker 2: holding a fundraiser for Bruce Blakeman, which is great. She
- 6:09Speaker 2: plans to hold a massive fundraiser for Blakeman now. But
- 6:14Speaker 2: there's a difference here. She's a philanthropist, she's a photographer,
- 6:19Speaker 2: she's not somebody's doing a ton of business in New York,
- 6:22Speaker 2: so she doesn't need to worry about offending Hokeel. So,
- 6:25Speaker 2: but you need more Democratic donors, and a lot of
- 6:28Speaker 2: you wealthy donors listen to the show. Republican donors. You
- 6:33Speaker 2: gotta start helping Blakeman. Everybody can help them. Infect If
- 6:36Speaker 2: you're not a big, huge donor, you can help. Just
- 6:39Speaker 2: go to Blakemanfromnewyork dot com. Donate whatever you can. Because
- 6:43Speaker 2: Hokel has something like she's got like twenty two million
- 6:46Speaker 2: in cash on hand, another twenty million coming from the DNC.
- 6:51Speaker 2: It's forty two million. Blakeman's up to about twelve thirteen million.
- 6:55Speaker 2: So you got to help. Donate to Bruce Blakeman. Go
- 6:58Speaker 2: to Blakemanfromewyork dot com. We want to see him win. Hey,
- 7:02Speaker 2: the Supreme Court rejected President Trump's appeal. You know that
- 7:06Speaker 2: e Gene Carroll, that looney, wacky woman with that whole
- 7:11Speaker 2: preposterous story about being raped at Bergdorf, which everybody at
- 7:16Speaker 2: Bergdorff says is insane. Never would have happened. Trump had it.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Was ordered to pay her eighty three million, which I
- 7:25Speaker 2: don't think he hasn't paid that yet. But then afterwards
- 7:28Speaker 2: he called her all kinds of names, and then she
- 7:30Speaker 2: went back to court. You remember it's New York court,
- 7:33Speaker 2: new York judge, New York jury. You can always win
- 7:35Speaker 2: against Trump. So she won five million dollars for defamation.
- 7:40Speaker 2: That's separate from the other thing. And he had paid it.
- 7:42Speaker 2: He did pay the five million because it was due
- 7:44Speaker 2: and he had to pay it. So Trump took it
- 7:47Speaker 2: to the Supreme Court to get that five million overturned,
- 7:50Speaker 2: and they voted against them. Well, he took it back
- 7:54Speaker 2: to the Supreme Court a second time, and yesterday they
- 7:59Speaker 2: rejected it again. Second time. He's rejected it. Now separately,
- 8:03Speaker 2: he's going to go after the eighty three million and
- 8:05Speaker 2: try to get that overturned. He's got a shot at
- 8:08Speaker 2: that because it's first of all, nobody believes this case.
- 8:11Speaker 2: But second al even if we're true, it's excessive, the
- 8:14Speaker 2: justices are on summer recess and not expected to be
- 8:19Speaker 2: back or take up the case until late September. You know,
- 8:22Speaker 2: it's pretty good in that government. You get a summer.
- 8:25Speaker 2: It's like they're in school. They get the summer off.
- 8:27Speaker 2: It's summer recess. You know. If you're in Congress, you
- 8:29Speaker 2: get the month of August off. It's like they're Europeans.
- 8:33Speaker 2: They take the whole month of August off. That's it.
- 8:35Speaker 2: They're gone. You don't see him. Hey, Tonight is the
- 8:38Speaker 2: Florida primary, Alaska primary. A lot of big primaries tonight,
- 8:42Speaker 2: but the big thing in Florida is the governor. DeSantis
- 8:46Speaker 2: been a very good governor in Florida. Governor DeSantis is
- 8:48Speaker 2: term limited out. He's gone at the end of the year.
- 8:52Speaker 2: So everybody wants Byron Donald's to be the new governor.
- 8:56Speaker 2: Most likely he will. He'll easily win the primary tonight
- 9:00Speaker 2: and most likely win the general election. So he should
- 9:03Speaker 2: be the next governor of Florida. Now this crazy MSNBC
- 9:09Speaker 2: or ms NOW or whatever the hell they call it.
- 9:12Speaker 2: So Byron Donalds goes on there the anchor, Peter Alexander.
- 9:16Speaker 2: You've seen that guy. He's your typical NBC guy who
- 9:19Speaker 2: looks like a straight leasd reporter anchorman. Then he starts
- 9:23Speaker 2: opening his mouth with the guest. He's the most biased,
- 9:26Speaker 2: left wing, slanted, fake news guy. So everything Byron donald said,
- 9:32Speaker 2: he jumps in. He goes, I must stop you. I
- 9:34Speaker 2: must make one factual clarification. He was talking about inflation.
- 9:39Speaker 2: He goes the president. When the President says, inflation hit
- 9:43Speaker 2: historic highs during Biden's term. Actually, when Biden left it
- 9:47Speaker 2: was three percent. Now it's three point five percent. So
- 9:51Speaker 2: in fact, it's gone up since President Trump took office. Well, yeah,
- 9:55Speaker 2: but what the president means it was nine percent under
- 9:58Speaker 2: Biden just because it dropped it the end. Most of
- 10:01Speaker 2: the time, it was ridiculously high. But you're supposed to
- 10:04Speaker 2: be a journalist. You're not supposed to be debating the guy.
- 10:08Speaker 2: He's just out in that debating that. Every time donald
- 10:11Speaker 2: said anything, he jumped in, I'm quoting for clarity. The president,
- 10:16Speaker 2: of course said that on day one prices would come down.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Yet orange juice is up twenty two percent. Ground beef
- 10:21Speaker 2: up nearly twenty two percent, coffee is up thirty three percent. Well, anytime, anytime,
- 10:27Speaker 2: you can always pick three things that are up. That
- 10:31Speaker 2: doesn't mean anything, it's just And why is this guy debating.
- 10:34Speaker 2: He's supposed to be interviewing this guest. Now, if he
- 10:37Speaker 2: did this all the time, maybe you could justify it.
- 10:40Speaker 2: But as soon as Byron Donalds leaves and the Democrat
- 10:43Speaker 2: comes on, Peter Alexander doesn't fact check anything, nothing, nothing.
- 10:48Speaker 2: The guest will say President Trump is sleeping through all
- 10:51Speaker 2: this meetings. Silence, nothing from Peter Alexander doesn't say a word,
- 10:58Speaker 2: no clarification, doesn't jump in and say, now, wait a minute.
- 11:01Speaker 2: He was seen closing his eyes for two seconds. He
- 11:04Speaker 2: was awake for the next two hours of the meet
- 11:06Speaker 2: doesn't clarify anything. And then before they went to the commercial,
- 11:11Speaker 2: Alexander takes one morsewipe at Byron Donald's we should again
- 11:15Speaker 2: be very clear, very clear. Despite the congressman's assertations, when
- 11:20Speaker 2: President Trump took office, inflation was at three percent. There
- 11:24Speaker 2: were forty year record highs before he took office. They
- 11:26Speaker 2: are now at three point five percent. Inflation has gone
- 11:29Speaker 2: up since president. Now, it's really not the way you
- 11:32Speaker 2: do it. You take the average, take the average of
- 11:36Speaker 2: Trump's presidency. The average of Biden's and Biden's was like
- 11:39Speaker 2: triple Trump. So very very deceptive. The Emmy Awards are
- 11:45Speaker 2: coming up. Does anybody pay attention to that anymore? They're
- 11:47Speaker 2: starting the voting today. Hacks is supposed to be getting
- 11:51Speaker 2: tons of nominations, and that JFK Junior Carolyn Bassett series,
- 11:56Speaker 2: which itself was quite misleading about. JFK Jr. Expected to
- 12:00Speaker 2: get a lot of Emmy nominations. Hey, Carly Simon, we're
- 12:04Speaker 2: talking about her last week. She has a new album out,
- 12:06Speaker 2: first album in eighteen years. But it did pretty well
- 12:10Speaker 2: on iTunes. It was top ten all weekend, sold out
- 12:14Speaker 2: on Amazon overnight. It's gotten rave reviews. All right, pretty impressive. Iran.
- 12:21Speaker 2: You know, as we told you before, the Strait of
- 12:23Speaker 2: hor Moose is open. It's been open, half open. It's
- 12:27Speaker 2: but we got about nine million barrels a day are
- 12:29Speaker 2: coming through there. Normally it's twenty million barrels a day,
- 12:32Speaker 2: but it's nine million barrels a day, so it's partly open.
- 12:35Speaker 2: But one thing about that, it's all oil coming from
- 12:40Speaker 2: other countries. It's other countries using the straight of hormoose.
- 12:44Speaker 2: No Iranian oil has been exported in weeks. No Iranian
- 12:48Speaker 2: oil is coming out anywhere, and the country is just
- 12:52Speaker 2: being economically destroyed. They're losing almost five hundred million a day.
- 12:58Speaker 2: And membery said the inflation in Iran was at three
- 13:01Speaker 2: hundred percent. Well it's now at four hundred percent. Inflation
- 13:05Speaker 2: is at four hundred percent, Unemployment is a ten percent
- 13:09Speaker 2: all time high. Iran's currency is wiped out. It now
- 13:13Speaker 2: trades against the dollar. Listen to this, almost two million
- 13:17Speaker 2: against one US dollar. That's unbelievable, unheard of. So it's
- 13:23Speaker 2: it's close to total total collapse in Iran. It could
- 13:28Speaker 2: happen any week. So that's what the president, I guess,
- 13:31Speaker 2: is looking at. Hey, tipping is out of control. You know,
- 13:36Speaker 2: you used to tip fifteen percent the waiter, then it
- 13:39Speaker 2: became more like twenty percent. Now you look in a
- 13:41Speaker 2: lot of checks, it says twenty five percent. You can
- 13:44Speaker 2: check that off. It's out of control. Everywhere you go.
- 13:47Speaker 2: You know Starbucks, the barista wants a tip. Now anytime
- 13:50Speaker 2: you go to anything and a counter, any anything where
- 13:54Speaker 2: you could I have that, yes, and then they hand
- 13:56Speaker 2: it to you. There's a tip jar, right, you're supposed
- 13:58Speaker 2: to tip them. What are they there for except to
- 14:00Speaker 2: hand you something? Why do they have to tip them?
- 14:02Speaker 2: It's just out of control. And then the waiters will
- 14:05Speaker 2: explain why they need so much for the tip. Pirson
- 14:08Speaker 2: ofally at twenty five percent. I mean, if it's really good,
- 14:11Speaker 2: I'll tip twenty five percent. But it's a lot. It's
- 14:13Speaker 2: a big percentage of the whole thing. And here's a server.
- 14:18Speaker 1: Out of that gratuity, the server also has to pay
- 14:21Speaker 1: the barback. Who are the people who come and help
- 14:23Speaker 1: clean up, make sure the tables stay clean. So when
- 14:27Speaker 1: I give somebody a receipt and they look at me
- 14:29Speaker 1: and they say, oh, gratuity is included, I say, gratuity
- 14:31Speaker 1: is included, but a tip is not. And if you
- 14:34Speaker 1: can't afford the tip, then you shouldn't be out.
- 14:37Speaker 2: I don't know what the hell are you talking about?
- 14:39Speaker 2: Your tip versus your gratuity. You got to pay the
- 14:41Speaker 2: bar man. The owner of the restaurant's supposed to pay him.
- 14:46Speaker 2: You're telling me this guy got there, goes there every
- 14:49Speaker 2: night just praying I'll tip them. He's not getting a salary.
- 14:51Speaker 2: You're supposed to get paid by the restaurant. It's not
- 14:54Speaker 2: like they're giving away the food. The prices are astronomical,
- 14:57Speaker 2: should be enough to cover everything. I don't know. It's
- 15:00Speaker 2: it's it's a little too tip grazy. Sometimes you're at
- 15:03Speaker 2: a you know, like a you order online, like a
- 15:08Speaker 2: Chipotle or something. You do it online on the app.
- 15:10Speaker 2: You order everything. You're gonna go in there. You're never
- 15:12Speaker 2: gonna see anybody. You just go in there, pick up
- 15:13Speaker 2: your bag, and leave. There's a tip button on the
- 15:16Speaker 2: appost to tip somebody I never saw. Well, you're tipping
- 15:19Speaker 2: them for actually putting the order together. Well, that's his job.
- 15:23Speaker 2: Do I put out a tip yard? Do I tell
- 15:25Speaker 2: you people to send me money? Do I want twenty percent?
- 15:30Speaker 2: Too much tipping? It's gotta stop. It's getting out of control. Hey,
- 15:33Speaker 2: we'll take some calls. Next. Eight hundred three two one
- 15:36Speaker 2: zero seven ten is the number. Eight hundred three two
- 15:40Speaker 2: one zero seven ten
