- 0:01Speaker 1: This episode is brought to you by P and C Bank.
- 0:03Speaker 1: A lot of people think podcasts about work are boring,
- 0:06Speaker 1: and sure they definitely can be, but understanding a professionals
- 0:10Speaker 1: routine shows us how they achieve their success little by little,
- 0:14Speaker 1: day after day. It's like banking with P and C Bank.
- 0:18Speaker 1: It might seem boring to save, plan and make calculated
- 0:21Speaker 1: decisions with your bank, but keeping your money boring is
- 0:24Speaker 1: what helps you live or more happily fulfilled life. P
- 0:27Speaker 1: and C Bank Brilliantly Boring since eighteen sixty five. Brilliantly
- 0:32Speaker 1: Boring since eighteen sixty five is a service mark of
- 0:35Speaker 1: the P and C Financial Service Group, Inc. P and
- 0:38Speaker 1: C Bank National Association Member FDIC. Then the cost of
- 0:45Speaker 1: houses it did rise for a little bit.
- 0:49Speaker 2: But the thing about Trump too is that he's kind
- 0:51Speaker 2: of like Kanye came. Remember I said that Elon Musk
- 0:53Speaker 2: is like Kanye. Trump is actually a lot he has
- 0:55Speaker 2: a lot of similarities to Kanye. Also, because remember they
- 0:57Speaker 2: were saying, like when Kanye Kan, he doesn't really read
- 1:00Speaker 2: a lot. He receives his information from people around him.
- 1:03Speaker 2: That's why he can't really explain things. And Trump is
- 1:07Speaker 2: the same way, like even if you're watching him yesterday,
- 1:09Speaker 2: like he doubled down, you would think by now, the
- 1:11Speaker 2: first time he got asked the question, he had time
- 1:13Speaker 2: to research who the bid NaNs find out founder was.
- 1:16Speaker 2: He just doubled that.
- 1:17Speaker 3: He said, I don't know. Say I'm gonna tell you
- 1:20Speaker 3: something I don't know.
- 1:21Speaker 2: But so this goes back to Venezuela, Nigeria, a variety
- 1:26Speaker 2: of different things. You could tell that people are telling
- 1:29Speaker 2: him things talking They're telling him high level talking points
- 1:34Speaker 2: that he can remember that it's easy to repeat. But
- 1:39Speaker 2: if you ask him like detailed questions, he hasn't. He
- 1:42Speaker 2: has no idea how to actually respond on it. So
- 1:46Speaker 2: he's but he's good at spinning it as far as
- 1:48Speaker 2: like brushing it off, deflecting, insulting people. But he's he's
- 1:54Speaker 2: he's getting fed a lot of information and very short
- 1:57Speaker 2: sound bites that he has actually no idea what he's
- 2:00Speaker 2: talking about.
- 2:01Speaker 3: How much do you believe? Like do you? I believe
- 2:03Speaker 3: him a lot?
- 2:04Speaker 1: Because when I when I heard the response, I thought
- 2:07Speaker 1: he was I didn't think he was going to double down.
- 2:08Speaker 1: He actually tripled down and said, I'm gonna break some
- 2:10Speaker 1: news here. I don't know who he is. But then
- 2:12Speaker 1: the very next line, I believe was when they asked
- 2:15Speaker 1: about bitcoin and he said he's not familiar with it,
- 2:18Speaker 1: and then they brought up the fact of his I mean,
- 2:21Speaker 1: his family's firm has made billions in bitcoin.
- 2:24Speaker 3: It was kind of like, I believe him a lot.
- 2:26Speaker 3: He's eighty years old.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I don't.
- 2:27Speaker 3: I don't. I don't know how much of that is
- 2:28Speaker 3: you feel, like, what's true.
- 2:29Speaker 2: I think it's a high level as far as like
- 2:31Speaker 2: do I think he understands what nodes are and the
- 2:36Speaker 2: inner workings of the blockchain.
- 2:38Speaker 3: No, I don't think that.
- 2:39Speaker 2: I don't think so at all. I think he knows
- 2:41Speaker 2: enough to have people in position because he's I mean,
- 2:44Speaker 2: the guy's busy, right, he's running the country, he's doing
- 2:47Speaker 2: real estate, he's running. So it is understandable not to
- 2:52Speaker 2: be extremely knowledgeable in a variety of different things. And
- 2:55Speaker 2: I don't think he's. I don't think he's knowledgeable on
- 2:58Speaker 2: a lot of stuff, because you could just some stuff
- 3:00Speaker 2: you could just tell. You could just tell that he's
- 3:03Speaker 2: not knowledgeable. But he, like I said, he does a
- 3:05Speaker 2: good job at spinning things off. And even when he
- 3:09Speaker 2: was like, they came at me, they said that I
- 3:13Speaker 2: was in. The reporter actually did a terrible job at
- 3:16Speaker 2: countering that, because even if you have a low level
- 3:17Speaker 2: of education, you know you he was convicted of thirty
- 3:21Speaker 2: six felonies. He did get found guilty, and you're literally
- 3:23Speaker 2: on federal wire tap trying to rig an election.
- 3:25Speaker 3: But the way that he was just.
- 3:26Speaker 2: Able to spin it like they tried to frame me
- 3:29Speaker 2: and I was completely innocent and I got off. I'm like, you,
- 3:32Speaker 2: how did you get off? And you got convicted of
- 3:33Speaker 2: thirty six felonies?
- 3:35Speaker 1: Thirty I think it's thirty four, but I don't know
- 3:37Speaker 1: how it was edited. But I agree with you that.
- 3:39Speaker 1: I'm like, wait, no, there's a difference here. You work convicted.
- 3:42Speaker 1: I think that, and it might be a strategic way
- 3:45Speaker 1: for his own protection. Exactly when I heard him say that,
- 3:49Speaker 1: I'm like, oh, he's the first thing I thought if
- 3:51Speaker 1: I did not that I know anything about this, Like, look,
- 3:53Speaker 1: I'm on record, I don't know. I We're making eight billion,
- 3:56Speaker 1: but I'm not really sure what's happening over there. I
- 3:58Speaker 1: mean right, it's like almost like, oh, that was he
- 4:01Speaker 1: just protected himself by saying that.
- 4:02Speaker 2: I don't even think he's worrying about protecting him. So
- 4:04Speaker 2: he's the same guy that said I can go to
- 4:06Speaker 2: tom Squad and shoot somebody in the face and get away.
- 4:08Speaker 2: That was last administration. Last I mean everything that he's done,
- 4:12Speaker 2: everything that he's done so far, I'm pretty sure he
- 4:16Speaker 2: has very little care about protecting himself because.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Well, he's no protection around him. There's no consequences.
- 4:23Speaker 2: There's not who's gonna who's gonna hold who's gonna tell
- 4:27Speaker 2: him you're in trouble.
- 4:30Speaker 3: No better they put them in. It's impossible for now.
- 4:32Speaker 1: No, I'm saying for now, right, but his kids will
- 4:35Speaker 1: outlive him, right, and so like, could there be charges
- 4:38Speaker 1: that are brought allegedly I'm not saying that they're doing
- 4:40Speaker 1: anything fraudulent, but could they be charges in six years
- 4:44Speaker 1: or eight years?
- 4:45Speaker 3: Right if if.
- 4:46Speaker 1: They find something that I think that was like one
- 4:48Speaker 1: of those protective man That's just how I perceived it.
- 4:51Speaker 4: And all I know is whatever you did was CZ
- 4:52Speaker 4: you better not do with SBF. It's not gonna go
- 4:54Speaker 4: the same way. He's up on that on that council
- 4:59Speaker 4: part yet thirty years mm hmmm. It would look crazy,
- 5:06Speaker 4: But what do I know? What do I know?
- 5:08Speaker 1: I think it's interesting right, Like the guy who creates
- 5:13Speaker 1: us uh A cryptos are says he knows nothing about bigcoin.
- 5:17Speaker 2: But that's David, Like, that's what I'm saying. But the
- 5:20Speaker 2: position was him saying he knows nothing about bitcoin might
- 5:23Speaker 2: not be a lie.
- 5:24Speaker 3: It might not be a.
- 5:25Speaker 2: Lie, but because relatively speaking, you could, I mean, no, no,
- 5:31Speaker 2: nothing is a is a is a vague term, right.
- 5:33Speaker 2: I think he knows enough to know what bigcoin is.
- 5:36Speaker 2: But if he had, like there was a big cooin quiz,
- 5:39Speaker 2: I think he would fail. But I think most people
- 5:41Speaker 2: invested in bitcoin would fail a biitcoin quiz. Most people
- 5:44Speaker 2: don't really know what bigcoin. That's the scary part about
- 5:46Speaker 2: it because we don't even know the founder. Like there's
- 5:53Speaker 2: there's so much stuff about this, Like if you had
- 5:58Speaker 2: like a pop quiz on, most people that's investing in
- 6:01Speaker 2: bitcoin will fail a bitcoin quiz.
- 6:03Speaker 3: I'm not even disagreeing with that. I'm just saying, too.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Did There's there's something about being I don't want to
- 6:12Speaker 1: call it dumb, so smart that you're done right, You're
- 6:14Speaker 1: you're investing in the asset like you're currently.
- 6:17Speaker 4: I'm gonna say the real answer to the quiz is
- 6:19Speaker 4: to deploy capital right like you're all that ship and
- 6:23Speaker 4: no your benefiting from it. And it's like knowing the
- 6:26Speaker 4: most and deploying the least does not make you a winner.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Canbody Somebody says right now, look, we got you know,
- 6:36Speaker 2: silver mine in Mexico and it's and it's guaranteed to
- 6:40Speaker 2: go up eighty seven percent every single year a presentation.
- 6:45Speaker 2: You got a billion dollars. Just I know for a
- 6:48Speaker 2: fact because I used to be a financial advisor, so
- 6:50Speaker 2: I understand that most wealthy people are not fully educated
- 6:53Speaker 2: on money at all. That's why they trust their advisors.
- 6:55Speaker 2: That's why they have a financial advisor. That's why somebody
- 6:58Speaker 2: like Bernie madeoff to run the biggest Ponzi scheme in
- 7:01Speaker 2: the history of the world. He's not just stupid people.
- 7:05Speaker 2: These are educated people. The owners of sports teams, these billionaires.
- 7:09Speaker 2: They didn't ask enough questions because they're trusting this person.
- 7:13Speaker 2: It's like, look, I gotta run a sports team, I
- 7:15Speaker 2: gotta do this, I gotta have a legal firm. You
- 7:18Speaker 2: can't be an expert in everything simultaneously.
- 7:20Speaker 3: It's tough.
- 7:21Speaker 2: That's why you have trusted advisors around you, and you're
- 7:25Speaker 2: trusting the advice The problem is that the people that
- 7:28Speaker 2: he has around him are giving him advice based off
- 7:32Speaker 2: of their own personal interest.
- 7:35Speaker 3: That's part of it. I agree with you, that's part
- 7:37Speaker 3: of it.
- 7:37Speaker 1: But there's also the part where you're actually creating positions,
- 7:43Speaker 1: changing policy, changing legislation to make sure that this asset thrives.
- 7:48Speaker 3: It's the money.
- 7:50Speaker 2: If they come and say, look, we got all everybody here, we're.
- 7:53Speaker 3: All gonna make a billion.
- 7:55Speaker 2: We all gonna make a billion dollars, including yourself, you
- 7:58Speaker 2: give us the money. This is how it's gonna work.
- 8:00Speaker 2: All we need you deliver it. All we need you
- 8:03Speaker 2: to do is push it through. I'm not going to
- 8:05Speaker 2: ask a million and one questions you would. I'm just
- 8:10Speaker 2: saying as an average person, right, the average person is
- 8:13Speaker 2: just like, all right, these are my friends. They're all rich,
- 8:17Speaker 2: we have a trust, we've made money together before. I
- 8:20Speaker 2: understand enough to understand the play. All right, I'm pushing
- 8:25Speaker 2: it through.
- 8:26Speaker 3: But there's an understanding that.
- 8:27Speaker 2: But that's like, but I mean, George Bush went to
- 8:30Speaker 2: war and didn't even understand what he was doing.
- 8:33Speaker 3: Made him.
- 8:33Speaker 2: They made him go to war off of misinformation. He
- 8:35Speaker 2: didn't Literally the longest war in the United States history
- 8:39Speaker 2: and they had they had a five star general get
- 8:43Speaker 2: in front of the United Nations and completely lie.
- 8:48Speaker 3: So to me, but I think, how far I deep
- 8:51Speaker 3: the rabbit hole? Do you want to go? I said, no,
- 8:52Speaker 3: I agree.
- 8:53Speaker 1: I'm saying that is true, which is why I think
- 8:55Speaker 1: it's like I'm gonna say I know nothing to protect
- 8:57Speaker 1: myself even though.
- 8:58Speaker 3: I haven't understand it. I think that's true if it
- 9:02Speaker 3: goes right or wrong. Yeah, I don't know nothing. I'm
- 9:04Speaker 3: not saying. But with CZ, I think he's and who knows?
- 9:09Speaker 4: Uh, Jake, Jake, go pull up cz paperwork and see
- 9:12Speaker 4: what because even with we, I mean maybe that's another stop.
- 9:16Speaker 1: But like that, I had Binance before there was a
- 9:20Speaker 1: US Binance and I'm like, Yo, what huh?
- 9:24Speaker 3: They that another time? Yeah? Another time? Earners, what's up?
