- 0:21her chicken coop along with all her chickens.
- 0:27Hey, everybody. Good morning from the chicken
- 0:29coop. So today we are talking about a
- 0:32coin flip. And I'm sure everyone's familiar
- 0:36with the coin flip, right? We all know how that works.
- 0:38You have a coin in your hand. You're trying to make a
- 0:40decision. You can't make a decision or
- 0:42you're trying to make a bet with somebody or whatever it is.
- 0:45And you say heads, tails, you flip the coin, boom, there you
- 0:48go. So why are we talking about a
- 0:51coin flip? Because sometimes as human
- 0:53beings, we get really stuck with ourselves and we can't help
- 0:56ourselves in any other way other than a coin flip.
- 1:00And I know that sounds crazy. You're like, are you serious?
- 1:02Is she really giving us this advice?
- 1:04Yes, I am. Because sometimes we don't want
- 1:07to talk to other people about things.
- 1:09And I really mean that. Like other than me talking to my
- 1:12coach sometimes, it's beyond that.
- 1:15I don't talk to anybody else about things that I'm really
- 1:19trying to make decisions on prior to making those decisions.
- 1:22I don't want to go to my husband and or my daughter or my son and
- 1:27talk about things because I haven't gotten my position clear
- 1:30yet. I'm still in the place of
- 1:32creativity and pulling things into place.
- 1:36And if I go and I start having a conversation with someone about
- 1:39it, all of a sudden now I have, I have their views mixed with my
- 1:44views. And it's kind of like in my mind
- 1:46it's like mixing paint and before you know it, everything's
- 1:49brown and you know you can't see your way through anything.
- 1:52So the coin flip comes into play for me.
- 1:55And if I sit there and I say, OK, how do I want to do this?
- 1:59And I'm starting to get myself confused and overwhelm shows up
- 2:02sometimes. Pulling a coin out is the
- 2:04handiest way. Now I was just doing this, This
- 2:07is why I said OK I I need some help and I pulled out a coin,
- 2:13legitimately pulled out a coin and said all right, do I plant
- 2:18these plants here or do I plant them there Because I couldn't
- 2:21decide and each one of them, they weighed equally in my mind
- 2:25as to where they would look good.
- 2:26So I pulled out the coin and I said heads and tails and I go
- 2:31ahead and I do the flip. Now does it really matter if it
- 2:34lands on heads or tails? No, what matters is what am I
- 2:37wishing for when it's in the air?
- 2:40What is the place that I really wanted to put it Now I thought
- 2:43they were equal in my mind, but the truth is, when I flipped
- 2:46that coin in the air, I was like heads.
- 2:50I heard it very, so slightly heads, because I really wanted
- 2:54to put them somewhere along the edge of the water at the pond.
- 2:58And I did not want to put them along the edge of the building
- 3:01because I thought to myself, oh, I should put flowers there.
- 3:04Yes, but that's going to take a bit of an effort.
- 3:06I'm going to have to put in a whole new bed.
- 3:08I think there's sand under there.
- 3:09So I had this whole dialogue in my head, but I said, well, I
- 3:12still could put them over there. I don't know, I like it in both
- 3:15places. So I just kept saying to myself,
- 3:18oh, it'd be good in both places, it'll be good in both places.
- 3:21But the truth is, I really did have an answer.
- 3:23And when the coin came out, it was clear.
- 3:25So I'm going to make it a standard operating procedure for
- 3:30myself that that coin, that little tiny tool, is always
- 3:36going to be part of these things when I get into it, because it's
- 3:39just, it's so, it's so fascinating to me how we still
- 3:43and as many times as we talk about not being honest with
- 3:46ourselves or attempting to be as honest as we can with ourselves,
- 3:49we still can't pick up on these little nuances until we do these
- 3:53little tricks that help us. And I recognize I did actually
- 3:58know the answer. I did actually know the answer
- 4:01of what I wanted. At least.
- 4:03I I just would not be honest with myself.
- 4:07And who knows why I can't answer the question as to why I
- 4:10wouldn't, but the coin did the trick.
- 4:13So try it for yourself, See. And you can do it for simple
- 4:16things, bigger things. Sometimes it's just the way you
- 4:19go. Fact, you know, I think a lot of
- 4:23times we discount some of this old school idea stuff that we
- 4:28hear and how people do it. Like you don't go walk for go
- 4:31take a walk. Clear your head.
- 4:32We think, oh, that's not going to work.
- 4:33It actually does think flip a coin.
- 4:36No, it actually does work. There's a reason it's there.
- 4:39So give it a try. I promise it'll make life a lot
- 4:42easier, even if it's for something like lunch.
- 4:44All right, my friends, I hope you have a blessed day and I
- 4:47will see you tomorrow. Bye.
