- Lucas: Hei, og velkommen til en ny episode av Learn Norwegian with Fexingo. Luna: Hei, Lucas! Ready for today's verb? Lucas: Always. Today we're going to learn 'å leke'. Luna: Å leke... that sounds like 'to play', right? Lucas: Exactly. Å leke means to play, but it's usually for children or playful activities. Luna: Oh, so not like playing music? Lucas: No, that's 'å spille'. Å leke is more like playing with toys, playing tag, that kind of play. Luna: Got it. So how do we use it? Lucas: First, listen: å leke. Luna: Å leke. Lucas: Good. Now in present tense: Jeg leker. Luna: Jeg leker. Lucas: Perfect. That means 'I play' or 'I am playing'. Luna: So if I want to say 'I am playing with a friend', I'd say 'Jeg leker med en venn'? Lucas: Exactly right! Jeg leker med en venn. Luna: Jeg leker med en venn. That feels natural. Lucas: Now let's try a question: Leker du? Luna: Leker du? That's 'Do you play?' or 'Are you playing?' Lucas: Yes. And you can add more, like 'Leker du med meg?' Luna: Leker du med meg? Are you playing with me? Lucas: Exactly. Or another useful phrase: 'Kan vi leke?' Luna: Kan vi leke? That's 'Can we play?' Lucas: Right. Let's practice all of them. Repeat after me: å leke. Luna: Å leke. Lucas: Jeg leker. Luna: Jeg leker. Lucas: Leker du? Luna: Leker du? Lucas: Jeg leker med en venn. Luna: Jeg leker med en venn. Lucas: Kan vi leke? Luna: Kan vi leke? Lucas: Fantastic! You're really getting it. Luna: Thanks! Can we do a little scene with these phrases? Lucas: Sure. Let's say you're at the park with a friend, and you want to ask them to play. Luna: Okay, so I'd start with 'Kan vi leke?' Lucas: Yes. And if they ask what you're doing, you say 'Jeg leker med en venn'. Luna: And if I want to ask if they are playing, I say 'Leker du?' Lucas: Perfect. You've got it. Luna: This is such a fun verb.
