Transcript
- 0:00Speaker: My name is Trevor Matthews, founder of refrigeration mentor.com. Over the past decade, I've trained tens of thousands of refrigeration technicians and contractors on supermarket refrigeration, and I've seen the same problem across the industry. Technicians are under pressure, second guessing, and getting stuck on jobs too long.
- 0:03Andrew: To run the case. Okay. That's, that's it. From, from lighting to the fans to defrost to. Any like graphs that you wanna pull. So it, it, it takes all that data. That's the, and it doesn't matter what case controller it is, that's what they're doing is trying, is giving, is making that case run.
- 0:06Andrew: Yeah, so there's a light relay, a fan relay. A comp, they call it a compressor relay,
- 0:09Trevor: Because the first Yeah, exactly. When, when you're doing that, how do you check, how do you check if I'm gonna test the press?
- 0:12And lots of people are like, oh, electronic controllers suck. Or they're terrible. And these manufacturers are, I've heard it from every man about every manufacturer already I've heard about all of 'em. At the end of the day, if you go and you learn how it works. So you get those sensors, you check those sensors, you make sure they're the right sensors.
- 0:15Andrew: So, but we need data and that's where the graphs, so make sure that you got the graphs that you need to know selected so you could actually pull that data from, and that's gonna help determine.
- 0:18'cause some of them are gonna have handhelds and so you'll have to hold a setting down. For three seconds to get in it or you have to hold set for five seconds, or you have to hold up and down, like depending on the controller and getting in there. Maybe you have to go to something. I know in D Excels you'd have to go to PR two, so.
- 0:21Trevor: There's thousands of other technicians that, that was out there learning it and getting better at it, and and being proficient when you're working on these controllers.
