- 0:07[SPEAKER_10]: Welcome to the Dog's Podcast with your hosts, Lake Renaker, Justin Charles, and Josh All.
- 0:18[SPEAKER_07]: What's up Browns fans, welcome back to another episode of the dog's podcast, Browns ending a miserable season if 5 and 12.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_07]: But as I know, I got to backwinds over division rivals, Miles gets into the history books, breaking the sack record held by Michael Shray and Shador leads a game-winning drive at the end, Schmidt gets his redemption.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_07]: to from the beginning of the season.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_07]: We lost that game when he missed two kicks gets to come back week 18 and seal the win against the bangles with the game winning field goal.
- 0:51[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not gonna lie like once Miles got that sack record and then we had a chance to win and Schmidt had a chance to end the season by beating the team that we lost to because he missed kicks early in the year and he's rebounded to have such a I was like really pumped up.
- 1:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I went for the about the win for the Brown city.
- 1:07[SPEAKER_03]: I was like he's not missing this.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_03]: He's not missing this kick and he just punched it right That's what he's done all year ever since week one just right through So I thought it was really funny.
- 1:16[SPEAKER_07]: We had two defensive penalties when they are players were march on lynching into the end zone
- 1:21[SPEAKER_07]: And any other time I'm like this 45-yard extra point would cost us.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_07]: We're gonna miss one of these and he just drills both of them right down the middle So he was perfect on the field goal.
- 1:32[SPEAKER_07]: Andy made both this extra points which turned out to be 40 plus young 40 plus yards So Schmidt
- 1:39[SPEAKER_07]: If you can do it another year, I just can't dust a Hopkins ruin me on crowning us in terms of having a kicker in Cleveland, but if you can do it another year, I feel very good about entering the season with Schmidt next year.
- 1:52[SPEAKER_07]: Please, Andrew Barry, don't hand this guy up like check right now.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_07]: Let's make him do it two years in a row, but it was great to see him get the bounce back today and go ahead and get the win against the team that we lost you earlier in the year when he missed a couple kicks.
- 2:05[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I didn't want to cut in real quick because at the beginning of this, you said that Miles Garrett broke the sackcracker held by Michael Strahan.
- 2:10[SPEAKER_03]: It was Michael Strahan and TJ What or both tied at 22.5 and I make that point because I told you guys before the show.
- 2:17[SPEAKER_03]: This is two weeks in a row now that the Cleveland Browns have forced the Pittsburgh Steelers fanbase to absolutely melt down and embarrass themselves on social media.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_03]: It's awesome.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_03]: If they tell you, if they lose the night, they're going to blame us.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_03]: You know, they they cried all last week and now this week is all this sack record doesn't count which we'll get into the stats and numbers as stuff as to why it's even more impressive than what those other two did beforehand.
- 2:42[SPEAKER_07]: Nothing makes me feel better than making the the Steelers fan base have mental breakdowns.
- 2:48[SPEAKER_07]: So as the youth says, meant he bees.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's what Zack Taylor had after the game.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_03]: Why was he?
- 2:56[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I saw that on the press conference about the referee stop in the game for the Browns to celebrate the sack record.
- 3:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, but hey, bro, your team's done all the time.
- 3:04[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I just happened to see that.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_07]: Like, what are you?
- 3:07[SPEAKER_07]: What are you complaining about?
- 3:08[SPEAKER_07]: Your season's over.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_07]: Also, we can't have.
- 3:10[SPEAKER_07]: He just broke an NFL record like shut up.
- 3:13[SPEAKER_07]: He just mad because he's probably going to be jobless.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_07]: Um, so he should play.

- 5:02[SPEAKER_07]: That's a lot of money.
- 5:03[SPEAKER_07]: That's a lot of money.
- 5:05[UNKNOWN]: That's a lot of money.
- 5:05[UNKNOWN]: That's a lot of money.
- 5:06[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_07]: I've done much worse things, but usually for a lot more money.
- 5:09[SPEAKER_07]: True.
- 5:10[SPEAKER_07]: True.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_07]: There it is.
- 5:12[SPEAKER_07]: There you go.
- 5:14[SPEAKER_07]: So the first thing, obviously we spent a lot of our time in the last two months talking about Shudor in the offense.
- 5:20[SPEAKER_07]: I think today we need to kick off the episode by talking about Miles Garrett breaking that sack record.
- 5:25[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm not going to lie.
- 5:26[SPEAKER_07]: I did not think he was going to get it.
- 5:28[SPEAKER_07]: I was like it either.
- 5:30[SPEAKER_07]: Especially after Joe Burrow talked about
- 5:32[SPEAKER_07]: He wasn't going to be worried about it.
- 5:34[SPEAKER_07]: He was just going to go out and play his game.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_07]: It sure felt like the bangles won't worry about it.
- 5:38[SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, like he does, he gets rid of the ball quick all the time.
- 5:42[SPEAKER_07]: I think I saw his time to throw second quickest in the league or something like that.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, he's used to playing behind a bad offensive line.
- 5:49[SPEAKER_07]: So he's used to getting rid of the ball quick.
- 5:50[SPEAKER_07]: But man, it just seemed like every time, like they were just,
- 5:54[SPEAKER_07]: triple demon chipping with tight ends.
- 5:56[SPEAKER_07]: He was throwing every dump off pass immediately just in the play right before he got the sack record miles had a free run at him and he just throws this little dump off and I was like, God, he's not going to freaking get this.
- 6:08[SPEAKER_07]: They're going to do anything they can and then the very next play, he gets one of his patented great miles
- 6:19[SPEAKER_07]: people want to say joe burrow laid down he was dead to rights.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_07]: This wasn't this was not a strange handfarer situation where Brett Farve just gave it to him.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_07]: No, joe burrow was dead to rights and he miles got a hand on him and he was just like,
- 6:35[SPEAKER_07]: I'm done.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 6:36[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not going to let you just crush me and murder me.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_07]: You got me, fair and square.
- 6:41[SPEAKER_07]: Miles had to earn it because the last couple weeks, the Steelers went out of their way to make sure he wasn't going to get a sack and the bangles were doing everything in their power to make sure he wasn't going to get one today.
- 6:53[SPEAKER_07]: So super pumped for miles in a season and kind of filled with turmoil, the trade request, he comes back.
- 7:00[SPEAKER_07]: The season's not going well in terms of
- 7:05[SPEAKER_07]: he's just etched his name in the history books he's going to be a defensive player the year again now obviously first ballot Hall of Fame we're now he holds the record for most sex in a season and I it just feels awesome because even on this show like we've criticized miles at times for like not having a complete season or not always necessarily being like the kind of leader
- 7:27[SPEAKER_07]: But like it's end of the day, Miles is a super good dude and he's going to be a Cleveland Brown for life and like I'm just super pumped for the guy because he's been through just terrible seasons for the Cleveland Browns and so to be able to get an individual accomplishment like this and to be able to do it in a win, I wanted them to be able to do it in a win.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_07]: So he could properly celebrate it because you just kind of look corny.
- 7:50[SPEAKER_07]: If you're celebrating a personal achievement on the field, if you're
- 7:55[SPEAKER_07]: So the fact that he did it when we it's to hold the lead in a game and then we win I, that was awesome.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because all the reports after the game were like there's a party going on in that Browns locker room right now and you wouldn't have had that atmosphere after the game with the team in the locker room on a loss.
- 8:11[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they still would have been happy for him and celebrated that, but it wouldn't have been on the scale that they were able to do today.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you guys this because when he got the sack it was a weird weird proud moment for me like as a brownspan like I got very weirdly emotional for the guy like I Standing in my living room clapping like an idiot like I was at the stadium.
- 8:34[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean me and my wife both were and like at the end of the day
- 8:39[SPEAKER_02]: The dude just has went through a lot in Cleveland.
- 8:41[SPEAKER_02]: You know what I mean?
- 8:42[SPEAKER_02]: It hasn't been easy.
- 8:44[SPEAKER_02]: There's been multiple things that have went wrong.
- 8:46[SPEAKER_02]: There's been a lot of bad seasons for this guy.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_02]: And it's been a lot of personal accomplishments.
- 8:51[SPEAKER_02]: So for him to get that personal accomplishment, like you said, in a win and just man, like his family's there, everybody's there.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_02]: It's a huge, huge moment.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_02]: I asked Josh to say, is there any time as a Cleveland sports individual,
- 9:05[SPEAKER_02]: record or anything like that that's happened where you've been like you felt like that because it's for as a Browns fan I've it felt like that maybe ever
- 9:14[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, in terms of just a personal record, the closest thing's probably like when Joe Thomas hit his snap shirt.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_07]: But that's kind of like an obscure thing, like that Joe Thomas was able to hang his hat on.
- 9:26[SPEAKER_07]: And it's obviously a big deal.
- 9:27[SPEAKER_07]: But like, I feel like that's not something that's regularly tracked by a lot of people, like consecutive snaps, that kind of thing.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_07]: Honestly, the closest thing, at least not in terms of like, if we're excluding championships, obviously the 2016 Cavs Championship,
- 9:40[SPEAKER_07]: like LeBron announcing he was coming home and you know I was at work where you and I worked and I heard about it on break and I come back in the building and people are yelling about it over the radio like that's like the closest thing I can kind of compare it to in terms of if we're not talking about like winning an actual game or a change of anything like that.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_03]: And honestly, the cool thing about this, I know it was a personal record.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_03]: There's an individual thing for Miles Garrett, but it was really a team thing.
- 10:06[SPEAKER_03]: And you saw how the whole team was focused.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_03]: Like they kept saying on the broadcast that Miles Garrett was constantly being the voice of reason and calm to the rest of the defense saying, guys, like, let's just play the game.
- 10:17[SPEAKER_03]: We don't need to focus just on everybody wanted him to get that record.
- 10:19[SPEAKER_03]: They took it all upon them, like, yeah, it's Miles record.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_03]: But what we're doing this as a team, we're getting this for this guy.
- 10:26[SPEAKER_03]: And that defensive line is,
- 10:28[SPEAKER_03]: this defense this year.
- 10:29[SPEAKER_03]: I know there were times where it was bad.
- 10:31[SPEAKER_03]: There were games or it was just putrid in moments and things like that.
- 10:34[SPEAKER_03]: But on the whole, that defensive line especially was tenacious.
- 10:39[SPEAKER_03]: I loved it.
- 10:40[SPEAKER_07]: Especially when we had before the Malik Collins injury, it was like, yeah, it was a top defensive line in unit in football.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_07]: What up?
- 10:48[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_07]: Do you have any voice males about miles?
- 10:52[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, nobody said anything actually know that I definitely want to start off with this one from our boy fake burned with off it's back Um, you're in my buddy Tommy Miles Garrett just officially got the sack record and we celebrated with a shot of fireball unfortunately But Only reason we came to this game we're here we're here live stadium what crazy everyone's getting all excited for miles
- 11:17[SPEAKER_08]: They're holding them up right now, as I speak.
- 11:19[SPEAKER_08]: I don't know if they're showing this on the broadcast, but they're like, it's like Rudy out here.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_08]: Just a much better Rudy who will be in that NFL Hall of Fame one day, but go Browns.
- 11:28[SPEAKER_08]: So happy for Miles, and hopefully we can close up this game.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_08]: Who who?
- 11:33[SPEAKER_07]: hell yeah brother did that's awesome yeah bro just and I was like you I'm sitting there watching my mom was at the house she's playing with my kid my wife sitting there and I'm like I'm talking to her I'm like they're not he's not gonna get this there's only five minutes to go I'm kind of like starting to panic and then he got it and you would have thought like we just iced trip to the place or something yeah
- 11:54[SPEAKER_07]: I was like up and clapping while pacing around my living room, watching the celebration.
- 11:59[SPEAKER_07]: So I feel like it was kind of thing like, not just like all of the Cleveland Browns fans, like we weren't going to the playoffs this year.
- 12:07[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, like this was what we, this was like the thing we were, we needed it.
- 12:11[SPEAKER_07]: We were going to hang our hats on and like we wanted to be able to celebrate.
- 12:15[SPEAKER_07]: So man.
- 12:16[SPEAKER_07]: it's like it's a mild thing and then it just was kind of good for like just the spirits of Cleveland Browns fans everywhere to just get to see him do it in a Browns uniform like we can say the all-time leader in sex and a season is a Cleveland Brown.
- 12:30[SPEAKER_07]: That's that's just awesome.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, the youngest guy to ever get to 100 sacks and everything that he's accomplished.
- 12:35[SPEAKER_03]: The only player in the NFL with what is an 8 consecutive seasons of 10 plus like the dude.
- 12:41[SPEAKER_03]: The stuff he's done is it's really insane.
- 12:43[SPEAKER_02]: It's not easily repeatable.
- 12:56[SPEAKER_02]: What that dude has to overcome on a play-to-play basis and then to even get individual records like that is unreal.
- 13:02[SPEAKER_03]: Dude, they were shown it on the broadcast where they were like, circling, they got a tight end over here on the end and then they've got another tight end and a running back, all like basically forming a wall on the left side of Joe Burrow saying, you can't come through here.
- 13:15[SPEAKER_03]: They're doing everything they could.
- 13:16[SPEAKER_03]: It's crazy.
- 13:17[SPEAKER_07]: It's uh,
- 13:19[SPEAKER_07]: and credit to the browns because I mean like at one point miles was it linebacker yes they were getting them the record they were yeah or they were gonna die try and you know i mean like they're like we got to put them somewhere he played the left side the right side over the center he played a stand-up middle linebacker for a play i think it was the play right before the sack he was it literally a middle linebacker and in almost got home and joddumped it off to the running back so i mean like
- 13:44[SPEAKER_07]: you could tell like it was what the defense was fighting for and this is this is kind of tells you all you need to know about like exact tailor and is the off it.
- 13:53[SPEAKER_07]: The bankals win this game if they just turn around and hand it to chase brown every play.
- 13:59[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if they've watched any browns games the last month were selling out to get miles of sack.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_07]: You could miles
- 14:08[SPEAKER_07]: he was giving there was zero effort on run place like if he's if he fired off the ball and diagnosed it was a run play was over for miles and I don't care he was playing for one reason today we were all here for that reason the same reason they could have turned around and handed it off to Chase Brown to run it at miles Garrett every play
- 14:29[SPEAKER_07]: And the dude would have averaged 15 yards of carry today, probably.
- 14:32[SPEAKER_07]: And then they wouldn't have had a pick six, and they wouldn't have had the fumble on the other one, and we wouldn't have scored 14 points off of those two turnovers.
- 14:39[SPEAKER_07]: And they wouldn't have won the game, and miles wouldn't have got the sack harder.
- 14:41[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I just don't know if they were doing.
- 14:45[SPEAKER_07]: I have no idea what the game plan was for that.
- 14:47[SPEAKER_07]: People like to talk about the Browns game plan.
- 14:49[SPEAKER_07]: What were you?
- 14:50[SPEAKER_07]: You could have ran it every single time.
- 14:52[SPEAKER_02]: And it's not like it was a third string running back or a practice squad guy.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_02]: It's Chase Brown.
- 14:56[SPEAKER_02]: Like an elite top five, top ten running back easy.
- 15:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like a thousand yards and five hundred.
- 15:02[SPEAKER_02]: And five hundred.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_03]: Fifteen hundred all purpose.
- 15:04[SPEAKER_03]: And the other thing to mention too.
- 15:06[SPEAKER_03]: There was a portion of this game where we didn't have Denzo Award or Tyson Campbell.
- 15:10[SPEAKER_03]: Both of our starting cornerbacks were in the locker room.
- 15:12[SPEAKER_02]: I was super impressed with the D'Angelo Ross, super impressed with them stepping in and basically taking Denzel words assignment as a practice squad guy, I never heard of coming in this game because it's like, uh, it's funny though talking about the the record because I didn't like I was excited to see him do it and I wanted him to do it.
- 15:35[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't realize how much I actually cared about it until it was the fourth quarter and I started telling the
- 15:42[SPEAKER_03]: We had the ball on offense.
- 15:43[SPEAKER_03]: I said, I actually really want to go three and out here.
- 15:45[SPEAKER_03]: Like, now be a good time for a three and out.
- 15:46[SPEAKER_03]: Get the defense back out there.
- 15:48[SPEAKER_03]: Like, that's how much I cared about it.
- 15:50[SPEAKER_03]: And just I didn't realize that.
- 15:52[SPEAKER_07]: We have a super chat here from Colton says the saltiness of bangles players due to the delay for miles to celebrate the sack record is hilarious to me Like you're Mark Chase cried about it.
- 16:02[SPEAKER_07]: Did he really yeah, you know That's something I'd expect out of Steelers fans Do you like he said?
- 16:08[SPEAKER_03]: I hope they do something like that for me whenever I you know achieve something late in my career or something like that Okay, okay, well
- 16:19[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you have, you're on pace to have your one fluke Super Bowl appearance and then just nothing but losing seasons before and after.
- 16:28[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, let's think of, let's think of, has anybody done less with more than the Bengals the last five years?
- 16:36[SPEAKER_07]: Watch the one player he would be.
- 16:39[SPEAKER_07]: One player keeps getting hurt.
- 16:41[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 16:42[SPEAKER_07]: One player keeps getting hurt and they lose all their games because of it.
- 16:46[SPEAKER_07]: If they don't have Joe Burrow, they might as well just forfeit every week.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_07]: So Jamar Chase, how much of a game changer are you?
- 16:52[SPEAKER_03]: And look at the Browns on offense.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_03]: I posted this today.
- 16:56[SPEAKER_03]: I said what we're playing with right now in week 18 is essentially what you would see in the third quarter of a preseason game.
- 17:04[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 17:05[SPEAKER_03]: That's our offense.
- 17:06[SPEAKER_03]: And we just won two games
- 17:09[SPEAKER_03]: with this.
- 17:10[SPEAKER_03]: If I'm a stealer span or a bangles fan, and I understand they are upset, they are crying, and they should be.
- 17:17[SPEAKER_03]: Cause you should not be losing to the Cleveland Browns right now.
- 17:22[SPEAKER_03]: This episode is sponsored by Butcher Box.

- 18:51[SPEAKER_07]: Because I know like a lot of people are 100% out.
- 18:54[SPEAKER_07]: It seems on Kevin, some people want him to stay.
- 18:58[SPEAKER_07]: I'm kind of like, if they fire my get it, but I'm not going to celebrate if they fire the guy.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_07]: You just played Buffalo, this tough as anybody's play.
- 19:07[SPEAKER_03]: I don't really read it.
- 19:09[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 19:10[SPEAKER_07]: And then you beat the Steelers when they're playing for their playoff lives.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_07]: They're playing to clinch the David.
- 19:14[SPEAKER_07]: All the head to do is beat you and that clinch the division.
- 19:17[SPEAKER_07]: And you beat the Steelers.
- 19:18[SPEAKER_07]: And then you come out this week.
- 19:20[SPEAKER_07]: Miles gets the record and you win again.
- 19:21[SPEAKER_07]: You end the season on a two game win streak.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_07]: Let's be honest.
- 19:24[SPEAKER_07]: We got we're five and twelve.
- 19:27[SPEAKER_07]: four months ago at the start of the season.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if anybody projected us to get to five wins.
- 19:31[SPEAKER_07]: What was the Vegas over under on the browser?
- 19:33[SPEAKER_07]: Sure.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_07]: Probably three and a half.
- 19:35[SPEAKER_07]: Four somewhere in there.
- 19:36[SPEAKER_07]: So.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_07]: Like I, it's one of those things where I can, I can see, I can see both sides.
- 19:43[SPEAKER_07]: I kind of said this in the discord day where like, if they fire them and they move on, I'll be excited to see the direction we go and the guy we hire and new blood and new voice, but I'm also don't think it's a good thing that we have to fire the guy that gave us the most successful run.
- 19:59[SPEAKER_07]: that we've had, if you're 30 years old or 35 years old, you've never seen the Browns have a more successful stretch than you did in the years that Kevin Steffanski was here.
- 20:09[SPEAKER_07]: Um, because there was no other stretch where we went to the playoffs twice, A and I want to play off-game.
- 20:15[SPEAKER_07]: And we are relevant in the division.
- 20:17[SPEAKER_07]: The Steelers can't beat the Browns anymore at home.
- 20:19[SPEAKER_07]: We, we own the Bengals and we're 500 with the Ravens.
- 20:23[SPEAKER_07]: Before Kevin Steffanski got here, we never won division games.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_07]: ever.
- 20:28[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, that was the one thing that we wanted.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_02]: But that's the way we were Pittsburgh and we're good.
- 20:32[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_07]: We never won one games in the division.
- 20:36[SPEAKER_07]: We were all for six or whatever, every year in the division it felt like one in five.
- 20:42[SPEAKER_07]: Your two games against Pittsburgh were losses, your two games against the Ravens were losses, and maybe you would split with the Bengals.
- 20:50[SPEAKER_07]: But so I'm not going to celebrate firing the guy that still has a team.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_07]: This team could have given up two months ago.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_07]: Fair, yeah.
- 20:59[SPEAKER_07]: You know what I mean?
- 21:01[SPEAKER_07]: Like, they're still bought in.
- 21:02[SPEAKER_07]: They're still listening to him.
- 21:03[SPEAKER_07]: They still believe in the message he's sending him.
- 21:06[SPEAKER_07]: They just, they just, like, Josh just said, there's no way we should win today's game.
- 21:12[SPEAKER_07]: They have Joe Burrow, Chamar Chase, T-Higgins, out of forget how to pronounce their wide receiver three's name.
- 21:18[SPEAKER_07]: He's a side player.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, sir.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 21:20[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 21:21[SPEAKER_07]: Chase Brown is a 1500 yard all purpose back.
- 21:24[SPEAKER_07]: Somaje P-Rine is a good receiving third down back binmaliga while.
- 21:29[SPEAKER_07]: And they're at home.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_07]: We have no business beating them.
- 21:34[SPEAKER_07]: No business.
- 21:35[SPEAKER_07]: So it's just one of the things like
- 21:39[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_07]: I can see it going either way, but I just don't think that Kevin's the biggest problem.
- 21:48[SPEAKER_07]: And I just don't think it.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_07]: I can understand why they'd fire him because you haven't won enough games, but I can point to many different reasons outside of coaching why we lost a lot of games last two years.
- 21:57[SPEAKER_03]: I was talking to somebody in the chat here before the show started and we were talking about Shador but what I said about Shador apply strictly or also to Kevin.
- 22:05[SPEAKER_03]: I said, did Shador play great today?
- 22:07[SPEAKER_03]: No, absolutely not.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_03]: Was it 100% his fault?
- 22:11[SPEAKER_03]: No.
- 22:12[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely not.
- 22:13[SPEAKER_03]: Same thing with Kevin.
- 22:16[SPEAKER_03]: As Kevin coach this team to a lot of wins.
- 22:19[SPEAKER_03]: No, he hasn't, not over the last couple of years.
- 22:21[SPEAKER_03]: Is it absolutely 100% his fault?
- 22:24[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's not, he hasn't been given a lot to work with.
- 22:27[SPEAKER_03]: It's just, I feel like I'm starting to get a little conflicted because of the way this season ended.
- 22:33[SPEAKER_03]: I was worried that was going to happen.
- 22:34[SPEAKER_03]: But then you started to hear these players, like Shelby Harris came out after the game day, and said, Kevin Spansky's my favorite coach I've ever played for.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, ooh, we didn't hear that kind of stuff about Freddie or Hugh, you know,
- 22:48[SPEAKER_07]: Regardless, we asked a former Browns player.
- 22:52[SPEAKER_07]: We asked a former Browns player what the locker room was like on Kevin.
- 22:58[SPEAKER_07]: And he straight-up told us that everybody in the locker room loves, yeah.
- 23:02[SPEAKER_07]: So like, it's so much speculation.
- 23:04[SPEAKER_07]: People say they don't, he's not a leader of men.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_07]: I just don't, just because he doesn't the other in the hall or on the sidelines, doesn't make him not a leader of men.
- 23:11[SPEAKER_07]: There's many different kinds of leaders.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_03]: Did you hear what Shador said after the game about Kevin in the press conference?
- 23:18[SPEAKER_03]: because I would that's the one I'd like here in the other guy's talk about Kevin everything that's great, you know, and I appreciate that.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_03]: But one should door said that, you know, Kevin, he said Kevin's he's tough.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_03]: He's really tough.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_03]: And I think he kind of meant like he's tough on me, he's tough on the guys.
- 23:32[SPEAKER_03]: And we've heard this about other like, Kevin even said in his conference the other day, David and Joker, he said, yeah, he didn't think I liked him whenever he first or when I first got here, because I told him the truth and he didn't like that.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_03]: but then they came to an understanding and you see how he's just grown and that's basically what Shador said too.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_03]: Like he said we sat down and we talked about a lot of things and I feel like we've really grown to understand each other.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_03]: I was like, ooh, that could have been.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_03]: See, because I am afraid that if we get rid of Kevin, that's gonna really throw a wrench into anybody that's hoping Shador plays next year.
- 24:05[SPEAKER_07]: not completely fair Josh I would be if if you fire Kevin which again I'm not if they fire Kevin I'll be excited about what's direction they're going to go and what kind of offense could because even though I think Kevin is still a good coach it doesn't mean I don't wish we've spruce up or integrated the offense so I've been on this podcast for two years saying that um
- 24:27[SPEAKER_07]: But I just think some people only watch the Browns.
- 24:30[SPEAKER_07]: And so they see Kevin make a bad in game decisions sometime and they think Kevin's the only one.
- 24:35[SPEAKER_07]: Even the greats make bad decisions regularly.
- 24:39[SPEAKER_07]: The average win percentage of head coaches in the NFL is like 500.
- 24:44[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, so everybody just thinks every coach out there's just winning 80% of their games.
- 24:49[SPEAKER_07]: This isn't college, you know, pretty much everybody floats around 500.
- 24:54[SPEAKER_07]: There's a couple guys who have super, they have very high win percentages, but so I'm not going to be mad if they fire them.
- 25:05[SPEAKER_07]: I'll be excited, but if you want to see shit door, you should want Kevin to come back because
- 25:12[SPEAKER_07]: if they go get a new coach I should or will be in the discussion but there's going to be like a competition between him unfortunately probably to Sean you know and I could see them adding like they'll be another person they add another vet they they add and it'll be an open competition in terms because the new coach is going to want to his guy
- 25:31[SPEAKER_07]: And there's going to be zero allegiance to the fifth round draft pick, especially even though we've watched the door world fades a shador on this show, from the outside looking in, the numbers are bad, high turnovers, like.
- 25:45[SPEAKER_07]: We yes, we won this game and we'll talk about it and he led the he put the team the position to kick the game when he feel go but before that it was not good before this game That if the defense says the score two touchdowns we lose this game There's gonna be no allegiance to them.
- 25:58[SPEAKER_07]: So if if you want should door to have kind of have a leg up Into this offseason next year.
- 26:03[SPEAKER_07]: You should probably want Kevin to stay at least that's kind of the way.
- 26:07[SPEAKER_07]: I look at it
- 26:10[SPEAKER_02]: Let me ask you guys something because they had a report today.
- 26:13[SPEAKER_02]: I think Mary cake Abbott said it.
- 26:15[SPEAKER_02]: They said Andrew Barry's pretty much, it looks like he's going to be safe.
- 26:19[SPEAKER_02]: But it's trending that there's potential, it probably is going to be a mutual parting of ways with Kevin.
- 26:25[SPEAKER_02]: Obviously they're going to talk tomorrow and all that.
- 26:28[SPEAKER_02]: But do you guys think it's interesting that Andrew Barry's staying when we have major roster issues and that potentially lead to
- 26:37[SPEAKER_02]: you know, I don't want to say the downfall of Kevin Sapienski, but I'm saying like it definitely was a factor in the the last two seasons of us being awful.
- 26:46[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you guys know how I feel to about the whole situation like first I am there and you're very still being here makes me nervous.
- 26:53[SPEAKER_03]: Because earlier this season when I was saying get rid of people, I meant everybody clean the house.
- 26:58[SPEAKER_03]: Anybody involved in this mess right now putting this offense on the field, I don't want to.
- 27:02[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want you involved anymore because this is terrible, sports have ever seen.
- 27:06[SPEAKER_03]: So, but I saw that too, I know I fully expect Kevin to be gone.
- 27:11[SPEAKER_03]: Not saying that that's like,
- 27:14[SPEAKER_03]: I'm pounding the table, it has to happen.
- 27:15[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just all the smoke the last couple weeks.
- 27:18[SPEAKER_03]: This week, especially, it's every person that you treat is.
- 27:21[SPEAKER_03]: It was like a fucking retarded to the giant.
- 27:24[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, that's just his agent putting stuff out and everything.
- 27:27[SPEAKER_03]: But you know, oh, we'll get hired in a day and he'll go to the giant.
- 27:30[SPEAKER_03]: So he'll go to the raiders and all this stuff.
- 27:32[SPEAKER_03]: I think there will be a neutral parting of the ways tomorrow.
- 27:38[SPEAKER_07]: In the fact that it's mutual, what does that tell you about the internal
- 27:44[SPEAKER_07]: like workplace.
- 27:45[SPEAKER_07]: If the coach is not, if the coach is like, I'll gladly get the hell out of here.
- 27:52[SPEAKER_07]: You know what I mean?
- 27:52[SPEAKER_07]: Like what does that tell you about the environment?
- 27:54[SPEAKER_07]: Like most of the time coaches are going to be fighting for their lives and for to keep their job and our head coaches go and
- 28:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I guess I could get out of here.
- 28:04[SPEAKER_02]: You don't grow.
- 28:05[SPEAKER_02]: He didn't make a PowerPoint presentation.
- 28:07[SPEAKER_03]: So, well, that we know, so this is definitely we're improving, we're heading the right direction.
- 28:12[SPEAKER_03]: Not as radical.
- 28:13[SPEAKER_03]: There was another thing too, after the game, they, of course, asked him in the press conference about how he would like to continue to be the co-chair, mixed all these rumors, and speculation things like that.
- 28:24[SPEAKER_03]: And he just said, you know, this game, I've told you guys before this game isn't about me.
- 28:28[SPEAKER_03]: I'm just proud of this team and how hard they fought.
- 28:29[SPEAKER_03]: And when he said that,
- 28:31[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if you guys saw the clip or anybody in the chat.
- 28:33[SPEAKER_03]: I thought his voice cracked a little at the end like he got a little choked up saying like I'm proud of how hard they fought like and it almost looked like he was very sad as in this is probably my last time with this group.
- 28:45[SPEAKER_07]: I will say this in some people, if you don't think that Kevin won't get hired instantly, you're just like a Kevin Hader.
- 28:56[SPEAKER_07]: If we fire him tomorrow, he's gonna have a job by Thursday probably.
- 28:59[SPEAKER_03]: So if the Ravens fire Harball or Steelers fire Tomlin, they're getting hired.
- 29:03[SPEAKER_07]: These guys have fired.
- 29:04[SPEAKER_07]: If the Ravens fire hardball and we part ways with Kevin, I am sending a blank check to Harball's agent and saying, just tell him to put a one and however many zeros he once after it and send it in mail it back to us and one can you start.
- 29:20[SPEAKER_07]: And you can come and kick Baltimore's ass twice a year.
- 29:22[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you're a brother.
- 29:24[SPEAKER_07]: That, that would be, that would be wild to me if they fired, that would be hard going.
- 29:30[SPEAKER_03]: That would be, especially if they beat the sealers tonight and make the playoffs.
- 29:33[SPEAKER_03]: I did want to get to this super chat real fast before we forgot.
- 29:35[SPEAKER_03]: And I lost it, young amongst says, I can't advocate for Kevin to stay the first half.
- 29:39[SPEAKER_03]: I'm assuming he means of the season was horrific.
- 29:41[SPEAKER_03]: Why would you, oh, and maybe today?
- 29:43[SPEAKER_03]: Why would you throw the ball and you knew your offense was depleted.
- 29:45[SPEAKER_03]: Also the Bengals forgot.
- 29:47[SPEAKER_03]: they had Higgins and Chase were on their offense.
- 29:50[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we couldn't run the ball either today.
- 29:51[SPEAKER_03]: That's a thing.
- 29:52[SPEAKER_03]: Our offense could do we can't do anything that's bad.
- 29:55[SPEAKER_07]: Think about this with with.
- 29:58[SPEAKER_07]: how bad our wide receiver core is, they were the strength of the team today, because you're turning around and handing off to a guy who was in active for 12 or 13 weeks and was on the practice squad.
- 30:11[SPEAKER_07]: At least, at least your two wide receivers are a first round draft pick and Jerry Judy and a third round draft pick and citric tillman.
- 30:20[SPEAKER_07]: That's the, if any, if there was any strength day, it was the wide receiver core, which is saying something about how bad the line and the running back room was today.
- 30:29[SPEAKER_07]: Because, yeah, I mean, you're, you're handing off to a practice squad running back.
- 30:34[SPEAKER_07]: In the, the other, I Williams.
- 30:36[SPEAKER_07]: I even know who the hell that is.
- 30:37[SPEAKER_07]: I'm trying to handle Williams.
- 30:38[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, should door through a touchdown past today to South Canella.
- 30:42[SPEAKER_03]: But he didn't just drop the crop.
- 30:44[SPEAKER_03]: You didn't catch it.
- 30:45[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, okay, if we had a, if it was in Joker, well, I don't know.
- 30:48[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, in Joker or Fanon, you know, a legitimate NFL pass catcher.
- 30:53[SPEAKER_03]: That's a touchdown pass.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 30:55[SPEAKER_03]: You just dropped it.
- 30:56[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, yeah.
- 30:58[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's brought you squad guy from Canada.
- 31:00[SPEAKER_02]: It's the same story.
- 31:01[SPEAKER_02]: We're still it's the same story two years in a row.
- 31:05[SPEAKER_02]: We're at the end of the end of this year.
- 31:06[SPEAKER_02]: It happened way before, but I mean, we're at the end where the zinters taking snaps at center.
- 31:11[SPEAKER_02]: We just have random dudes that we don't even know who they are or if they're good.
- 31:17[SPEAKER_02]: And then we're just trying to base evaluation of young talent on all this.
- 31:22[SPEAKER_02]: It's it's pretty bad.
- 31:24[SPEAKER_02]: It's really bad.
- 31:26[SPEAKER_07]: So, I guess I've said my pants then on the Kevin, like I said, I'm not going to celebrate if they fire them, but if they fire them, I get it, and I welcome the new voice.
- 31:38[SPEAKER_03]: So, I'm kind of just like indifferent on the situation that this part of me is like excited to dive into coaching candidates, just because there are some guys that are reading about that.
- 31:46[SPEAKER_03]: It's fun, and I've been reading about some up-and-comers that could be available if we want to interview.
- 31:50[SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, I kind of like the idea of
- 31:54[SPEAKER_03]: now will it actually come to fruition or will play out the way I'm probably not but you know it is like you get these ideas what could be that's what that that's what this season right now for browns fans is they get excited guys because we're into what can be season just we're about to our superables coming up in a couple months hell you have it baby
- 32:12[SPEAKER_07]: uh... a super chat here how many single possession drives a boat next one this season because of his defense come on now chador is a rookie and he's learned from the bills thank you for that i'll say i i kind of want to talk then about the offence and chador uh... what did you guys think of the performance today was rough that i mean i think we i think we've kind of come to expect that at this point like we're we're having a lot of trouble evaluating anybody
- 32:40[SPEAKER_02]: like, any position on the offensive side of the ball, the fumble, the fumble sucked, you know, the fumbles, just kind of inexcusable, just ball security stuff, you know, no picks, but I mean, there could have been a few, you know, edit it, you know, on a, you're living dangerous, but,
- 32:59[SPEAKER_02]: It's hard to get a comp on a guy man.
- 33:01[SPEAKER_02]: You don't the reverse Y receiver talent sucks.
- 33:03[SPEAKER_02]: We're depleted offensive line running back.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: We're depleted.
- 33:06[SPEAKER_02]: It's not great.
- 33:07[SPEAKER_02]: We're starting sal can Ella tight end or whoever whoever was the other guy.
- 33:13[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know his name.
- 33:14[SPEAKER_02]: Whatever, you know.
- 33:17[SPEAKER_07]: I almost had to go up and play guard.
- 33:19[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, or centered.
- 33:20[SPEAKER_07]: You're gonna be a frown.
- 33:22[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 33:23[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
- 33:24[SPEAKER_07]: The first half was tough, and like you said, there's reasons to that.
- 33:28[SPEAKER_07]: The fumble, it's just another one of those things where it's just like, these are the things
- 33:33[SPEAKER_07]: That's crazy.
- 33:34[SPEAKER_07]: He's fighting in uphill battle to earn the job because of the draft pick.
- 33:39[SPEAKER_07]: Whether we agree of where he was picked or if the talent meets the draft pick at the end of the day, if you're pecked in the fifth round, you have a shorter leash.
- 33:47[SPEAKER_07]: That's just kind of the way it is.
- 33:48[SPEAKER_07]: So like the turnovers are the, you can't keep turning the ball over and expect that you're going to keep getting job opportunities.
- 33:57[SPEAKER_07]: And it was just a silly one, just not.
- 33:59[SPEAKER_07]: just holding the ball out there while you're in a pressure with one hand and the left hand.
- 34:04[SPEAKER_07]: But what I was super impressed with was just it's not a good game and he got the ball with two minutes to go and a chance to go put his team in position to win and we went right down the field.
- 34:18[SPEAKER_07]: and got put in position to win to kick the game when he feels what and he made like the throw to Samson on the sideline and then he ends up running for like 10 or 11 yards he can be like well that's just a check-down.
- 34:28[SPEAKER_07]: No and that's you can't take sacks you can't throw at receptions you got to know where to go at the ball and he knew where his check-down was and he hit him and he hit him in the chest so he's able to make a run after the catch he made another big throw on that drive and I think that's like the sign of
- 34:44[SPEAKER_07]: At least a good young quarterback that has potential is you can play not great for three quarters.
- 34:51[SPEAKER_07]: He was much better in the second half than he was the first half in general, but you can play not great for three quarters, three and a half quarters and then it's a money time and you got to take your team.
- 35:02[SPEAKER_07]: You have a chance to take the team down and get a chance to win the game.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_07]: And he did that.
- 35:06[SPEAKER_07]: And I like,
- 35:08[SPEAKER_07]: We want two games and the season with him is the starting quarterback, you know, and so it in my opinion, like go get carnell take, go get some offensive linemen, and you can't evaluate him any more than that.
- 35:23[SPEAKER_07]: You can't look at his stats.
- 35:24[SPEAKER_07]: You can't there's no blocking.
- 35:25[SPEAKER_07]: There's no protection.
- 35:26[SPEAKER_07]: There's no run game.
- 35:27[SPEAKER_07]: The best thing to help your rookie quarterback out is a good run game.
- 35:31[SPEAKER_07]: We have zero.
- 35:32[SPEAKER_07]: We don't have
- 35:33[SPEAKER_07]: It's not that we have a good run game or like a mediocre run game or we don't even have a bad run game.
- 35:38[SPEAKER_07]: We have zero run game, we might as well not even attempt to hand them all off and everybody knows it.
- 35:44[SPEAKER_07]: We have no wide receivers, we are too best.
- 35:49[SPEAKER_07]: past catchers this year are davon joku and herald fanon didn't play in this game um... select outside of the the the turnover like what how much can you put on the guy and like i said in money time he took us down and we we kicked the game letting feel good so
- 36:05[SPEAKER_07]: It's one of the things like, I'm ready to just give them the offseason, and I'm not saying hand them the job, I guess.
- 36:13[SPEAKER_07]: I don't want anybody to just hand it anything, but let it be his job to lose as the enters training camp next year.
- 36:21[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, all the things that we complained about in the preseason about no reps, you know, throw into trash cans and stuff like that, give the guy an offseason where he's the QB1 and let him get all the reps, all of them, all the experience, get him some weapons, build the offensive line through the draft and through free agency and depth, big time offensive line depth.
- 36:42[SPEAKER_02]: I think if you build your offensive line, we can have a running game.
- 36:45[SPEAKER_02]: But right now we get no explosion at the line of scrimmage.
- 36:48[SPEAKER_02]: We're literally blown up every play.
- 36:50[SPEAKER_02]: We're getting hit in the backfield every play.
- 36:52[SPEAKER_02]: Get it off at work on the offensive line and get some weapons on offense.
- 36:55[SPEAKER_02]: I love car and I'll tell you, I'd be great with that.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.
- 36:58[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 36:59[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I feel like Shador and I've said this before gets so unfairly evaluated by everybody out there because of, I don't know.
- 37:07[SPEAKER_03]: I guess just all the hype around him or whatever, because everybody's got to be on one extreme of the spectrum or the other.
- 37:13[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody can just sit somewhere in the middle and say, hey, listen, he's a rookie quarterback.
- 37:21[SPEAKER_03]: What other rookie quarterback do you expect to come out and be perfect right out of the game, especially on a terrible team?
- 37:27[SPEAKER_03]: Our offensive line today, I posted this on Twitter.
- 37:30[SPEAKER_03]: I didn't feel like we had one.
- 37:32[SPEAKER_03]: I felt like we were playing 7-1-11 or whatever it is.
- 37:35[SPEAKER_03]: 6-1-11, we did not have a line.
- 37:37[SPEAKER_03]: It didn't matter if we were running, passing, we're getting blown up.
- 37:41[SPEAKER_03]: Every time we turn around and hand the ball off the guys getting hit two yards in the backfield.
- 37:44[SPEAKER_03]: Every time.
- 37:45[SPEAKER_02]: How about it?
- 37:46[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God, Joshua.
- 37:47[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm just going to
- 37:51[SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't that long ago that a guy named Sam Darnold was getting me fun of because he was seeing ghosts on the field.
- 37:57[SPEAKER_03]: Well, look, he's developed now and look what he's grown into, a very competent playing at pretty high level quarterback.
- 38:04[SPEAKER_03]: I feel like seeing the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of the head of
- 38:23[SPEAKER_03]: What he's shown, what he's been able to show the flashes and the glimpses, that's impressive to me because he has nothing to work with.
- 38:32[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, Cincinnati was rushing for pretty much the whole last, what two drives about against us and we're getting major pressure.
- 38:40[SPEAKER_02]: Shoulder is running for his life with four four guys.
- 38:43[SPEAKER_03]: Which means everybody's covered.
- 38:44[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, oh yeah, for sure.
- 38:46[SPEAKER_02]: And doubled some guys.
- 38:48[SPEAKER_02]: Or just spying.
- 38:51[SPEAKER_03]: This is, well, by the way, the Bengals are like the worst defense in the league, correct, you know, yeah, and they We have it, do we have a commercial we want to do before we come back and dive into all the boys males?
- 39:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, quick break and then we'll hit Kenny's voicemail on the way back

- 40:53[SPEAKER_07]: We'll just address it real quick or he more is fired It was at the first coach to go yep today And I guess it makes it black Monday.
- 41:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, and this is what I said Stop hiring defensive head coaches if you have a young
- 41:08[SPEAKER_07]: quarterback.
- 41:09[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know how many how many teams make this mistake.
- 41:12[SPEAKER_07]: That's why, like, so many people went Brian Flores for the Browns.
- 41:16[SPEAKER_07]: I'm just not hiring a defensive coach.
- 41:19[SPEAKER_07]: If I'm rolling what you should do next year, I need a guy.
- 41:22[SPEAKER_07]: I need like, uh, uh,
- 41:24[SPEAKER_07]: I don't want this guy, but I need to get a guy like a cliff thing's very, you know.
- 41:30[SPEAKER_07]: So that I need somebody who can make this quarterback flourish because if until you have that, you have nothing in most of the time, defensive head coaches just don't do that.
- 41:44[SPEAKER_07]: They just, they don't the way they coach their conservative.
- 41:47[SPEAKER_07]: They just, they just don't do that.
- 41:50[SPEAKER_02]: If you're going to, if you're going to go that route,
- 41:54[SPEAKER_02]: You mentioned the guy.
- 41:55[SPEAKER_02]: You got to do it like how they did in Washington where you have Dan Quinn and then you have like a Cliffs Game Girl.
- 42:00[SPEAKER_02]: You have to have something like that.
- 42:01[SPEAKER_02]: You have to develop a guy.
- 42:02[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, you have to have a young, not even a young guy, but just a young offensive mind.
- 42:06[SPEAKER_02]: A guy that can develop your young quarterback at least in the building.
- 42:10[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, like if if I'm interviewing Brian Flores, my first question is who's your office coordinator?
- 42:15[SPEAKER_07]: Absolutely.
- 42:17[SPEAKER_03]: Any defensive candidate?
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
- 42:19[SPEAKER_03]: I'm bringing in here to run the offense.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
- 42:21[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 42:22[SPEAKER_07]: And that is the like, that's the most.
- 42:24[SPEAKER_07]: I'd almost nothing else matters.
- 42:26[SPEAKER_07]: I'm asking them that first because they could have this great call.
- 42:30[SPEAKER_07]: They could do all this stuff.
- 42:31[SPEAKER_07]: And if they don't get that right, it'll be doomed.
- 42:36[SPEAKER_07]: but well uh let's see here let's see why Kingsbury because I just came it was breaking it was an exciting I just yeah it was an example I came up with it off off the cuff you like this guy yes let's you want to do a voicemail here yep let me get Kenny here
- 42:56[SPEAKER_01]: Yo guys, it is Kenny Mac and the season ends on a two game win streak and we have it done that since December 22nd, sorry December 24th and December 28th at 2023 when we clinched the playoffs and we dropped what 36 and 37 on the Texans and the Jets respectively.
- 43:16[SPEAKER_01]: Man, this team, it clearly had the least amount of talent on the
- 43:26[SPEAKER_01]: I'll tell you one thing, man.
- 43:27[SPEAKER_01]: They fought.
- 43:28[SPEAKER_01]: And I just can't believe the Bengals and Steelers lost to like a second third string preseason.
- 43:34[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I mean, I know our defense is good, but they got to be feeling awful.
- 43:38[SPEAKER_01]: If I was a Steelers or Bengals fan right now, jumping off a cliff.
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: But
- 43:42[SPEAKER_01]: you know what the guys play for Shidorr you know the old really played for him and that's something good and I like what he does with the ball and defensive obviously played for miles and man 23 baby 23 congrats to miles super awesome and I know it was 17 games but you know he did it
- 44:04[SPEAKER_01]: And the highlights for me, man, was Delvin, grab my bush on the way the end zone.
- 44:10[SPEAKER_01]: That was hilarious.
- 44:12[SPEAKER_01]: As far as the fans, he's concerned, I think Brad may be disappointed.
- 44:16[SPEAKER_01]: They did end on a two game win streak, but I don't know.
- 44:19[SPEAKER_01]: We'll see.
- 44:20[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, line.
- 44:21[SPEAKER_01]: Receivers.
- 44:22[SPEAKER_01]: Just a whole new offense, baby.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go.
- 44:24[SPEAKER_02]: Ho ho ho ho.
- 44:28[SPEAKER_07]: I, uh...
- 44:30[SPEAKER_07]: I like that Kenny brought up the amount of snaps.
- 44:32[SPEAKER_07]: The other thing that I think is lost is, how many games this year were the Browns getting blown out?
- 44:39[SPEAKER_07]: Halfway through the third quarter, teams weren't passing the ball.
- 44:43[SPEAKER_03]: That's, well, okay, so that's exactly it.
- 44:45[SPEAKER_03]: And I did post this, this is from, let's see.
- 44:49[SPEAKER_03]: Skye-ah, what's his name?
- 44:52[SPEAKER_03]: WFN Y Scott on Twitter, said SNAPS requires for each SAC record.
- 44:58[SPEAKER_03]: Michael Strayhand had 22 and have SACs, did it on 567 SNAPS.
- 45:03[SPEAKER_03]: DJ Wat 22 and a half SAC did it on 616 SNAPS.
- 45:08[SPEAKER_03]: Miles Garrett 23 SACs did it on 437.
- 45:14[SPEAKER_07]: So can you say way fewer than those others and not just the fewer pass steps and getting blown out and teams are just running them all at you also really outside of just like personal pride
- 45:30[SPEAKER_07]: Nothing to play for.
- 45:32[SPEAKER_07]: Your team is not winning any games.
- 45:35[SPEAKER_07]: It says that the guy can, will go out there.
- 45:37[SPEAKER_07]: Like, I mean, he had the dominant stretch this year where it was, like, what, 13 sacks in three weeks or something like that?
- 45:45[SPEAKER_07]: And we lost all of them, if I remember correctly, so to be going out there and just dominate the game and play at such a high level and not just be like mailing it in when your team is losing all these games anyways, that says something about the guy to that.
- 46:02[SPEAKER_07]: It doesn't matter what's going on in a round of him, he comes out and performs at a high level and does his job weekend in a week out.
- 46:09[SPEAKER_07]: So like the extra game, there's context to everything and in
- 46:13[SPEAKER_07]: Are we putting an asterisk on any other records that are broken with the extra game, you know, and if they add an 18th game and somebody breaks miles record and 18 games, I won't sit here and bitch your moan about it.
- 46:26[SPEAKER_07]: Like that's just, every league has added games, added added stuff.
- 46:30[SPEAKER_03]: It's just the way they used to be like a 10 game season way back in the day.
- 46:34[SPEAKER_03]: You think those guys are, come on.
- 46:35[SPEAKER_03]: I mean,
- 46:36[SPEAKER_03]: It's just that the times change, but I do think it's funny.
- 46:39[SPEAKER_03]: Another thing about miles, and we already said it, I've never seen a team's game plan for one single defensive player the way they do miles gear.
- 46:47[SPEAKER_03]: They do it so much that the Pittsburgh Steelers sacrificed a playoff spot.
- 46:53[SPEAKER_03]: just a game plan for miles Garrett.
- 46:55[SPEAKER_03]: I've never seen that before.
- 46:56[SPEAKER_07]: Who do you guys want to lose tonight more?
- 46:59[SPEAKER_07]: Still all.
- 47:00[SPEAKER_03]: Yes, healer's for sure.
- 47:01[SPEAKER_07]: Now I'm doubting.
- 47:02[SPEAKER_02]: I hate the Ravens.
- 47:03[SPEAKER_07]: I hate the Ravens.
- 47:05[SPEAKER_03]: Roll them.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 47:06[SPEAKER_03]: I hate the Ravens.
- 47:07[SPEAKER_03]: I hate the Ravens.
- 47:08[SPEAKER_07]: Roll them.
- 47:09[SPEAKER_07]: The only, if the Browns move on from Kevin, I want the Ravens to lose so that they fire car ball.
- 47:18[SPEAKER_07]: There's just no way I know the chances I'm coming to Cleveland because they'll have his pick of the litter, but man
- 47:24[SPEAKER_07]: Miles Garrett looks pretty good, you know, we got a pretty good defense over here, you know, so it's a bit you get to get to go back and play against Baltimore twice a year, you know, so the order you want to go to Atlanta, come on, come to beautiful Cleveland, you're going to be coaching in a state of the art facility in a couple of years.
- 47:53[SPEAKER_07]: If the next coach of the Cleveland Browns wants to coach in the dome, he might not want to take this job.
- 48:00[SPEAKER_07]: It's going to be the next 20.
- 48:02[SPEAKER_03]: Take the one that's in the 20.
- 48:04[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_04]: Yes.
- 48:05[SPEAKER_07]: That guy will get to coach in the dome.
- 48:10[SPEAKER_07]: You can tell we're in the ground.
- 48:14[SPEAKER_09]: uh... we got more voicemails to get to oh absolutely here's at him boys it's at him in el Paso game has just ended i don't want to jinx anything so i'm calling after the game number one miles Garrett is now the all-time leader in sex and a season
- 48:34[SPEAKER_09]: Number two, Andre Schmidt makes the kick that he misses at the beginning of the season against the same team to close out the season with a win.
- 48:45[SPEAKER_09]: What a redemption story.
- 48:47[SPEAKER_09]: And, you know, as I call a couple of weeks ago,
- 48:51[SPEAKER_09]: like, I get it guys, we're 5 and 12, but man, this just feels right.
- 48:57[SPEAKER_09]: Kevin's a fansky fired up on the sideline with his team, showing passion, showing emotion while every speculation is that this is his last game as the Cleveland Browns head coach, you know,
- 49:11[SPEAKER_09]: I'm 38 years old and realistically, since 1999, this is by far the best coach that the Cleveland Browns have had, barring like maybe butch Davis, you know, with his playoff run in the O2 season.
- 49:27[SPEAKER_09]: But, you know, it's just one of those things, guys.
- 49:30[SPEAKER_09]: To me, when it comes to continuity, when it comes to Shidorah Sanders, his development, letting Andrew Barry get another go at a draft and match the offensive side of the ball, the defensive side of the ball.
- 49:40[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know, guys.
- 49:41[SPEAKER_09]: I don't know your thoughts, but I just feel like I want to stick with it.
- 49:46[SPEAKER_02]: I'm a lot of that mixed emotions.
- 49:50[SPEAKER_02]: It was a done deal literally two people to go.
- 49:53[SPEAKER_02]: And then all of a sudden you put back to back divisional winds up and it makes it really, really tough, especially when the locker room is so bought in.
- 50:03[SPEAKER_07]: And especially if you don't there's nobody out there that you know for fact is better which I and I'm not sitting here saying like you can't be afraid to make the choice in some people say you don't just stick with Kevin because then you're just settling for mediocrity I feel like you would be saying that if we still had
- 50:21[SPEAKER_07]: like prime baker, or if we ever would have got prime to Sean, you still had, you know, Nick Chav Jarvis Odell, Healthy David, and Joku, a top three offensive line.
- 50:35[SPEAKER_07]: If we were winning five games,
- 50:37[SPEAKER_07]: when we had that roster.
- 50:39[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, Kevin for sure has to go.
- 50:42[SPEAKER_07]: He's not losing with that roster.
- 50:44[SPEAKER_07]: He's losing with the, I guess my challenge to people would be based on last year's roster and this year's roster.
- 50:50[SPEAKER_07]: I challenge you to tell me the coach in this league or in the the universe that would have won more games.
- 50:58[SPEAKER_07]: Who was the coach that would have won more games the last two years?
- 51:01[SPEAKER_07]: With the exact same roster we had, just look at the quarterbacks.
- 51:05[SPEAKER_07]: Look at the quarterbacks he had the last two years.
- 51:08[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, you think about it, we go to the playoffs with five different starting quarterbacks.
- 51:13[SPEAKER_07]: He wins coach the year.
- 51:15[SPEAKER_07]: We get to Sean healthy in the off season.
- 51:17[SPEAKER_07]: He comes back the very next year and you're thinking, okay, you've got a Mari Cooper, you've got a healthy to Sean Watson, your line is still good.
- 51:24[SPEAKER_07]: Here you go, you immediately,
- 51:27[SPEAKER_07]: Nick Chubb is gone.
- 51:28[SPEAKER_07]: Dishon Watson can't remember how to play football and then gets hurt again anyways.
- 51:33[SPEAKER_07]: Marry Cooper is just totally checked out.
- 51:36[SPEAKER_07]: Gone.
- 51:37[SPEAKER_07]: He's irrelevant.
- 51:39[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, never went anywhere.
- 51:41[SPEAKER_07]: It's not like he was in Kevin's offense and he was just being held back by Kevin's high school offense and he was so terrible.
- 51:48[SPEAKER_07]: And then he went to the bills and just started lighting it up.
- 51:52[SPEAKER_07]: He left Cleveland in just
- 51:54[SPEAKER_07]: disappeared, retired, wrote off into retirement.
- 51:57[SPEAKER_07]: You know what I mean?
- 51:58[SPEAKER_07]: So it's Kevin isn't losing with the roster we had three years ago.
- 52:03[SPEAKER_07]: He's losing with the roster that everybody would lose with.
- 52:06[SPEAKER_07]: That's my only pushback to the people that are just like so out in into the people who I get really like.
- 52:15[SPEAKER_07]: annoyed is when people will use these last two seasons and be like Kevin just always been a joke what no no he wasn't like he did a lot of good things when he had an actual NFL roster to coach that that's my challenge if you think the coaching was the reason we were so bad the last two years go tell me the coach that would have won a lot of games the last two years with the Browns roster I think I don't think there is one
- 52:41[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's where I'm just frustrated because I just look at the state of the team and I'm like, so we're okay with moving forward with this guy, but the one kind of sign that things are kind of working in the locker room where, you know, with what you have, it just makes no sense to me.
- 53:00[SPEAKER_02]: Like, I don't understand if it's one plan, right?
- 53:02[SPEAKER_02]: Wasn't that the bullshit all year all over one collective thought all together?
- 53:07[SPEAKER_02]: We're all in this.
- 53:08[SPEAKER_02]: It's all one direction.
- 53:10[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know, I don't even know if I want that, but I just think that there's a major miss at the other spot at the GM spot.
- 53:20[SPEAKER_02]: If there was an opportunity, that's my argument.
- 53:23[SPEAKER_02]: I think that.
- 53:25[SPEAKER_07]: Here's my, here, here's a good point.
- 53:27[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody said, Liam Cohen, this kind of feeds the my point.
- 53:30[SPEAKER_07]: Liam Cohen turned the Jaguars around year one.
- 53:34[SPEAKER_07]: With an offensive roster loaded with offensive talent, first round draft picks.
- 53:39[SPEAKER_07]: You have Trevor Lawrence.
- 53:40[SPEAKER_07]: Trevor Lawrence was the next Andrew Luck coming out of college.
- 53:44[SPEAKER_07]: Totally different.
- 53:45[SPEAKER_07]: That's what I just said.
- 53:46[SPEAKER_07]: If Kevin, Kevin was the coach of the Jaguars had before Liam Cohen.
- 53:50[SPEAKER_07]: He was losing with a team.
- 53:51[SPEAKER_07]: You should not be losing with.
- 53:53[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
- 53:54[SPEAKER_07]: Liam, if Liam Cohen, if Kevin would have fired last year, and Liam Cohen would have came to the Browns this year and had to play old Joe Flacco, Dylan Gabriel, and then should door with no reps, and this offensive line at the end of the year, and this wide receiver core.
- 54:09[SPEAKER_07]: You think Liam Cohen would have won ten games, nine games this year, eleven games with this, I know he wouldn't have, I bet my house he wouldn't have.
- 54:17[SPEAKER_07]: There's just no way.
- 54:18[SPEAKER_03]: No, there's, and I don't think any, well, nobody should be arguing that the offensive talent on this team is terrible.
- 54:24[SPEAKER_03]: And again, said it already on the show, but it's just, for me, that's worth the, like I'm just on frustrated with Andrew Barron, frustrated with the talent evaluation.
- 54:32[SPEAKER_03]: Now, will things change maybe that Paul D. Padesa's gone?
- 54:35[SPEAKER_03]: We haven't seen an offseason in a decade without Paul D. Padesa's thumbprint on this thing.
- 54:40[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, there's so many variables.
- 54:43[SPEAKER_03]: And the thing is, we're only a few hours, really.
- 54:45[SPEAKER_03]: from from finding out some answers here.
- 54:47[SPEAKER_02]: And I don't even think that we're necessarily sure that Andrew Barry's saying that's the general manager.
- 54:53[SPEAKER_02]: Like I still think there's a lot about today.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: Okay.
- 54:55[SPEAKER_02]: I miss that.
- 54:56[SPEAKER_02]: What are they talking about?
- 54:57[SPEAKER_07]: I think they said there's a chain still take on more responsibility, but he's still going to have the final say and roster building and all that good stuff.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 55:04[SPEAKER_07]: I didn't know that it was going to become a GM search also.
- 55:08[SPEAKER_07]: I can see here.
- 55:09[SPEAKER_07]: Somebody said in six years what quarterback did he develop not one.
- 55:13[SPEAKER_07]: I will say this.
- 55:14[SPEAKER_07]: Tell me the one he should have developed.
- 55:16[SPEAKER_07]: Which one of the career backups should Kevin have developed?
- 55:22[SPEAKER_07]: should he have developed case kingdom, a career backup, Jacobi percent, a career backup, Joe Flacco, a guy who's out of football before he came to Cleveland, which one of these guys should he have developed into a perennial NFL starting quarterback?
- 55:38[SPEAKER_07]: That's.
- 55:39[SPEAKER_07]: Again, if they fire him because we've only won what, seven games, eight games in the last two years?
- 55:45[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, I guess I'll listen to that.
- 55:47[SPEAKER_07]: But it's just not pretend, like there's not this reason, this reason, this reason, this reason, and this reason, why we don't score points.
- 55:57[SPEAKER_03]: You ready for another voicemail?
- 55:59[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
- 56:00[SPEAKER_03]: This one's from Cooper.
- 56:01[SPEAKER_00]: Hi guys, I'm Cooper Bell, and I'm nine years old and all the way down here in El Paso, Texas.
- 56:06[SPEAKER_00]: I'm a Cleveland Browns fan.
- 56:08[SPEAKER_00]: I love listening to your old podcast.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Super Happy.
- 56:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm all scared.
- 56:11[SPEAKER_00]: I've got the sack record.
- 56:13[SPEAKER_00]: I'm super happy on the game.
- 56:14[SPEAKER_00]: Such a great way to end off this season.
- 56:15[SPEAKER_00]: I hope I hear this on the other side of the show at Go Browns.
- 56:19[SPEAKER_07]: Yo, that is awesome.
- 56:22[SPEAKER_07]: That is it that put that in the Hall of Fame of Voice meals we've ever gotten I will almost got to read.
- 56:27[SPEAKER_07]: I don't Little bit I want you to I want you to call back next for our next episode And tell us how you're Brown's being from all the way down in Texas.
- 56:35[SPEAKER_02]: I think it's his dad Possibly in El Paso.
- 56:38[SPEAKER_02]: We had a double El Paso there.
- 56:39[SPEAKER_03]: So he was
- 56:41[SPEAKER_02]: major centrifuge of browns fans or we got a family down there.
- 56:46[SPEAKER_02]: Reversing the dogs.
- 56:47[SPEAKER_03]: Cooper, are you guys related?
- 56:48[SPEAKER_03]: Or is this just a coincidence?
- 56:50[SPEAKER_03]: We got two El Paso fans down there.
- 56:52[SPEAKER_02]: I've been down there.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_03]: I've been down there.
- 56:53[SPEAKER_03]: I've been down there.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:54[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:55[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:56[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:57[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:58[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 56:59[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:00[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:01[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:02[SPEAKER_03]: I've been down there.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_03]: I've been down there.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:03[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:04[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:04[UNKNOWN]: I've been down there.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:05[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:06[SPEAKER_07]: I've been down there.
- 57:06[UNKNOWN]: I've been down there.
- 57:07[SPEAKER_07]: Like maybe, maybe why we're seeing should do a better and is because he has good coaching.
- 57:14[SPEAKER_07]: It's, it's, I don't know, it's just crazy.
- 57:18[SPEAKER_03]: All right, we can keep going.
- 57:20[SPEAKER_03]: Yep, this one's from Justin.
- 57:22[SPEAKER_11]: What's up, Thornton podcast, that you're friendly neighborhood, Brown's fan here in Jersey.
- 57:28[SPEAKER_11]: Wow, I didn't think he was going to get it.
- 57:30[SPEAKER_11]: He got it at the end there.
- 57:31[SPEAKER_11]: I'll just legendari it's so great.
- 57:35[SPEAKER_11]: I think, you know, we got some stuff positives going into next year.
- 57:39[SPEAKER_11]: We got a quarterback.
- 57:40[SPEAKER_11]: You know, we got Miles Garrett coming back.
- 57:42[SPEAKER_11]: We got a great defense.
- 57:44[SPEAKER_11]: We got Harold Finn into throw two.
- 57:46[SPEAKER_11]: But we need to go, we need to go all in and whatever we think we need to do next year in this draft to win a Super Bowl because that's going to make everything Miles Garrett did this year even more legendary.
- 57:58[SPEAKER_11]: So they need to do whatever they need to do to go all in to be able to get that Super Bowl team.
- 58:03[SPEAKER_11]: I think it's going to be getting two really good receivers and then in the second round grab your offensive lineman and then grab another offensive lineman in the third round and that's how you're going to do it.
- 58:13[SPEAKER_11]: I'm still all in for two receivers in the first round.
- 58:16[SPEAKER_11]: Take it away from another team, get your two Justin Jefferson's.
- 58:19[SPEAKER_11]: There you go.
- 58:20[SPEAKER_11]: We need to go all in.
- 58:22[SPEAKER_11]: Let's go Brown's.
- 58:25[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not like the optimism.
- 58:26[SPEAKER_02]: I like the name, and I like the Super Bowl excitement.
- 58:29[SPEAKER_02]: I'm not quite there yet.
- 58:32[SPEAKER_02]: But no, I mean, I'm with him on as far as there is some things to be excited about.
- 58:38[SPEAKER_02]: Like the way this season ended, it was a Browns fan.
- 58:40[SPEAKER_02]: You should be stoked.
- 58:42[SPEAKER_02]: You just watched history.
- 58:43[SPEAKER_02]: You got to see the Browns beat two division rivals.
- 58:46[SPEAKER_02]: Back to back weeks, we used to not get that ever.
- 58:49[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, there are positives going forward, and if you can nail down this draft,
- 58:55[SPEAKER_02]: I don't see there's any way where we don't draft two.
- 58:58[SPEAKER_02]: I've received verse.
- 58:59[SPEAKER_02]: potentially more.
- 59:00[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, we're, well, but that again, who knows?
- 59:02[SPEAKER_02]: I said that last year.
- 59:03[SPEAKER_02]: And we, we didn't think of it at all.
- 59:05[SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
- 59:06[SPEAKER_02]: So, who knows, maybe I could be way off taking two receivers is one thing.
- 59:10[SPEAKER_03]: Taking two receivers in the first round or in your first three picks is a different thing because, yeah, sure, Andrew Barry could take two receivers in the third and the fifth or something.
- 59:18[SPEAKER_03]: They'd be nothing burgers like every other receivers ever drafted.
- 59:21[SPEAKER_03]: So, we need to invest high capital at the position if we want to be serious about it.
- 59:26[SPEAKER_03]: And I hope they are, because this is terrible.
- 59:28[SPEAKER_03]: I can't watch this crap, but another season.
- 59:30[SPEAKER_03]: I can't do it.
- 59:32[SPEAKER_07]: In my life, the Browns have only had one wide receiver that was like,
- 59:38[SPEAKER_07]: a dude like a mario watch yes a mario Cooper was great his for like the two years that he was actually bought in here with but he's he's like a he was just what he's not a dude he was like a tactician you know with his route running but like just a guy that was must watch football you just throw it to this guy and it's a threat to take it to the house it was Josh Gordon
- 1:00:02[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, for one year man.
- 1:00:07[SPEAKER_07]: Oh my gosh, we've now outside before him in at sent him We've never had we've never had an offensive guy that just like was on the we've never had like a miles Garrett on our offense You know just a guy that is just I mean the closest things Nick Chub
- 1:00:23[SPEAKER_07]: sure.
- 1:00:24[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, you know, I mean, I next try to just hand it to me.
- 1:00:27[SPEAKER_07]: He just he's a house call waiting to happen, but it though in the wide receiver room, we haven't had anybody since Josh Gordon really.
- 1:00:33[SPEAKER_07]: That was just like a this guy's different.
- 1:00:36[SPEAKER_07]: This guy's different than everybody skies the limit.
- 1:00:40[SPEAKER_07]: Just throw him the football.
- 1:00:41[SPEAKER_07]: If he's double covered throwing the football, it doesn't matter.
- 1:00:43[SPEAKER_07]: Just throw him the football.
- 1:00:44[SPEAKER_07]: He's going to make a play for you.
- 1:00:47[SPEAKER_07]: our quarterbacks, our poor quarterbacks, 87 of them, you know, they're constantly throwing to 5, 7 gadget guys, you know, fifth round people that were highly productive with their division to college.
- 1:01:05[SPEAKER_07]: It's just, just go get us some guys, some dudes, like,
- 1:01:10[SPEAKER_07]: Don't overthink it.
- 1:01:11[SPEAKER_07]: This guy planted a high, this guy played a top five program in college football and he was the best receiver.
- 1:01:17[SPEAKER_07]: Okay, that's the guy I want.
- 1:01:18[SPEAKER_07]: I'll just go good.
- 1:01:20[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, just go get that guy.
- 1:01:22[SPEAKER_07]: Please, and then get the next one and the next one.
- 1:01:25[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:01:26[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:01:27[SPEAKER_02]: We're definitely going to take a flying back or something in the first round first or no doubt.
- 1:01:33[SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know if I can sit in the draft that you guys this year.
- 1:01:35[SPEAKER_02]: I don't have a mental breakdown.
- 1:01:36[SPEAKER_02]: Oh my gosh.
- 1:01:37[SPEAKER_02]: We'll just crash out hard.
- 1:01:39[SPEAKER_07]: One more thing we'll make fun of the bangles today.
- 1:01:41[SPEAKER_07]: Not only do we now have corners or Malette Collins.
- 1:01:44[SPEAKER_07]: We have Carson Schwesinger.
- 1:01:46[SPEAKER_03]: No, we did not.
- 1:01:48[SPEAKER_07]: We didn't have the teams leading
- 1:01:53[SPEAKER_07]: Honestly, our second best defensive player, and we, they could only muster 18 points.
- 1:01:58[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty bad.
- 1:01:59[SPEAKER_07]: And it just gave us 14 of them.
- 1:02:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, absolutely.
- 1:02:02[SPEAKER_03]: And speaking of that, that's perfect because I was just going to bring up Devon Bush.
- 1:02:05[SPEAKER_03]: Devon Bush is not on this team next year.
- 1:02:07[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to be very upset with Andrew Barry.
- 1:02:09[SPEAKER_03]: This guy, I don't want him playing on another team.
- 1:02:13[SPEAKER_03]: He has to be a Cleveland Brown.
- 1:02:15[SPEAKER_03]: The dude has been phenomenal.
- 1:02:16[SPEAKER_03]: Two years in a row, but this year really was just.
- 1:02:18[SPEAKER_03]: Juice.
- 1:02:19[SPEAKER_03]: Juice, man.
- 1:02:20[SPEAKER_03]: That's juice on the two picks.
- 1:02:22[SPEAKER_03]: Six
- 1:02:23[SPEAKER_02]: is so good.
- 1:02:24[SPEAKER_02]: We got to bring him back.
- 1:02:26[SPEAKER_02]: And it was kind of a question mark.
- 1:02:28[SPEAKER_02]: Like two years ago, we were just kind of taking a chance on him like, ah, you know, one team tosses him out.
- 1:02:33[SPEAKER_03]: Maybe your project that worked.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
- 1:02:35[SPEAKER_02]: Finally.
- 1:02:36[SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.
- 1:02:38[SPEAKER_03]: You do 10 a year.
- 1:02:39[SPEAKER_03]: You're bound to get one.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:02:40[SPEAKER_03]: That's true.
- 1:02:41[SPEAKER_07]: That's another thing, too.
- 1:02:42[SPEAKER_07]: If you move on from Kevin, Jim Schwartz will be gone.
- 1:02:45[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, everybody.
- 1:02:46[SPEAKER_07]: The next hit coach is not in a lot of Browns.
- 1:02:49[SPEAKER_07]: I know we've talked about our issues with the Browns defense at times, but he's gotten, you know, Devon Bush as a guy who was kind of like you guys said a reclamation project, he's playing really well for the Browns.
- 1:03:01[SPEAKER_07]: Is that a guy you wanna lose?
- 1:03:03[SPEAKER_07]: Cause if you fire Kevin, you're probably losing Jim Schwartz, for sure.
- 1:03:09[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:03:11[SPEAKER_12]: This cuts on watching the Bengals game.
- 1:03:13[SPEAKER_12]: Happy that we came out of that with the win.
- 1:03:15[SPEAKER_12]: I will say after watching this game, I kind of feel like...
- 1:03:19[SPEAKER_12]: Yes, Shador did win, and that's awesome, and I'm always happy to get win, especially against a rival.
- 1:03:24[SPEAKER_12]: But as far as this week and last week go, I truly think that the defense won these games for us.
- 1:03:31[SPEAKER_12]: And I've been a big Shador fan since the start because I explained that I would just love for us to have gotten a to-thrown pick and have him be our franchise quarterback.
- 1:03:40[SPEAKER_12]: It would save us so much money, and it would be just a laugh in the face of everybody that passed up on him.
- 1:03:47[SPEAKER_12]: After these last two games, I don't know what that means for him going into next year.
- 1:03:52[SPEAKER_12]: I don't know if it means that Deshawn will end up starting God willing he does not.
- 1:03:57[SPEAKER_12]: But that is a possibility and then he'll just be at the bridge quarter back for either should door if they want to stay with him or if they want to draft a quarter back at some point.
- 1:04:07[SPEAKER_12]: I don't think in this next draft we will.
- 1:04:09[SPEAKER_12]: But I don't know, I just I just feel like those last two games were they're so worried about
- 1:04:17[SPEAKER_12]: the quarterbacks, Aaron Rodgers and Anjo for all they both were just worried about getting the ball out and not so much about accuracy.
- 1:04:26[SPEAKER_12]: So I just think defense won those last two games.
- 1:04:28[SPEAKER_12]: Hopefully that's enough for Shador, his season has been enough, and we continue with them.
- 1:04:32[SPEAKER_12]: That's what I would like to do, but we forward.
- 1:04:38[SPEAKER_07]: I feel that I'm the same way, too, because I think we're picking six now, right?
- 1:04:45[SPEAKER_07]: If Mendoza and more both declare, they're going in the top two.
- 1:04:51[SPEAKER_07]: Sure.
- 1:04:52[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not giving up picks and picks and where there's too many holes on the offensive side of the ball to trade away tons of picks.
- 1:05:01[SPEAKER_07]: If we want to be competitive and good next year, we have to hit on these draft picks.
- 1:05:06[SPEAKER_07]: For Asian C, once again, most likely be limited because this is the last year to
- 1:05:13[SPEAKER_03]: unless they're still going to be dead money.
- 1:05:18[SPEAKER_03]: I think for years and years to come, but it's the last year that it's a bulk of inhibitive.
- 1:05:23[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
- 1:05:24[SPEAKER_07]: So you got to hit on your offensive draft.
- 1:05:27[SPEAKER_07]: If you want to be good next year, at least like much better competitive competing for a playoff spot, this draft's extremely important because you're not going to have tons of money to throw around for agency again.
- 1:05:38[SPEAKER_07]: So I'm not packaging a ton of picks to move up to one or two for
- 1:05:42[SPEAKER_07]: But then what?
- 1:05:43[SPEAKER_07]: And then you put Mendoza or more behind this offensive line and you have him throwing to Jamari Thrash, you know, because we'd probably had to bring him back.
- 1:05:54[SPEAKER_07]: You know, I mean, like who's he gonna throw to?
- 1:05:56[SPEAKER_07]: Who's gonna block form that kind of thing?
- 1:05:58[SPEAKER_07]: So I'm in the camp like
- 1:06:02[SPEAKER_07]: That's this get a proper evaluation on the guy.
- 1:06:05[SPEAKER_02]: Do we really want to do we really want to trade to first round draft picks away to go up to number two to take the guy that backed up doing Gabriel?
- 1:06:15[SPEAKER_02]: Fair question.
- 1:06:16[SPEAKER_02]: Just being honest, just saying real things.
- 1:06:18[SPEAKER_02]: Just putting it out there.
- 1:06:20[SPEAKER_02]: That's what we'd be doing.
- 1:06:22[SPEAKER_02]: Enough said.
- 1:06:23[SPEAKER_02]: I'm moving forward.
- 1:06:25[SPEAKER_07]: And I know I'm not trading a bunch of.
- 1:06:28[SPEAKER_07]: He's only started what 12 games in college.
- 1:06:32[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I think so.
- 1:06:34[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, no more.
- 1:06:35[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, okay.
- 1:06:36[SPEAKER_07]: Mendoza's played a lot of college tomorrow.
- 1:06:38[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, he's more.
- 1:06:39[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not trading a bunch of picks for a guy who's only played 12 get it.
- 1:06:43[SPEAKER_07]: If you go look at the history of that of college starts, man, if they have a season of starting college, that it doesn't typically drink, at least not right away.
- 1:06:53[SPEAKER_07]: Sam Darnall was one of those guys.
- 1:06:54[SPEAKER_07]: Well, this next Brown's coach, if he gets, if we, if we let go Kevin, this next Brown's coach
- 1:07:01[SPEAKER_07]: You know, six years for the next quarterback to figure out he'll be on his fourth team by then.
- 1:07:09[SPEAKER_03]: No, that's that's very I obviously things can change.
- 1:07:13[SPEAKER_03]: We can get new information opinions can change as the months go toward the draft, but right now it definitely feels like the best move would be to build around should or because again, he's shown that he's shown the things that you want to see from a rookie at this level like, okay, he's he can do this this and this
- 1:07:30[SPEAKER_03]: we'll fix this other crap.
- 1:07:31[SPEAKER_03]: We'll fix this other, you know, you can do the things that you really can't teach that well.
- 1:07:36[SPEAKER_07]: Well, and like I said, if you, if you wouldn't have put him at one on the depth chart and it's his job to lose, I'm not saying he's infallible, he's untouchable, he can just go out and be awful and he's going to get to play every game.
- 1:07:48[SPEAKER_07]: It doesn't know it.
- 1:07:49[SPEAKER_07]: But if you want, if you're going to have to shine on the roster next year and he's healthy,
- 1:07:54[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, Dylan's gonna be there, but let's be honest.
- 1:07:57[SPEAKER_07]: If you want to bring in, you know, another guy to compete in camp, but he gets the one reps in camp.
- 1:08:04[SPEAKER_07]: He's, he's the starting quarterback.
- 1:08:07[SPEAKER_07]: And if throughout camp to Sean is just flat out out playing him, and it's just, then okay, then he lost the job, but it's gonna be like I said at the beginning of this episode.
- 1:08:15[SPEAKER_07]: It should door Sanders job to lose the starting next year.
- 1:08:19[SPEAKER_07]: and I'm putting proper pieces around them to actually give them a chance to earn to keep that job in a value way and properly.
- 1:08:27[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, 100%.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_13]: Yep.
- 1:08:29[SPEAKER_13]: All right, we got to go ahead.
- 1:08:30[SPEAKER_07]: Go ahead.
- 1:08:31[SPEAKER_07]: I was just going to say there's a comment here that he's actually going to assert, certain for Shador, bringing a new coach could go poorly.
- 1:08:38[SPEAKER_07]: Floor is his full stop, no.
- 1:08:39[SPEAKER_07]: He isn't personal.
- 1:08:40[SPEAKER_07]: We saw how he actively tried to destroy it to him.
- 1:08:42[SPEAKER_07]: I've said that a bunch of times.
- 1:08:43[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, he was just not a good person to do it.
- 1:08:48[SPEAKER_07]: And I'm not sitting.
- 1:08:49[SPEAKER_07]: Two is probably not going to be on the Dolphins anymore.
- 1:08:51[SPEAKER_07]: And he got benched.
- 1:08:53[SPEAKER_07]: But man, that was your franchise.
- 1:08:56[SPEAKER_07]: That was the quarterback, your franchise is chipped and you destroyed it.
- 1:09:01[SPEAKER_07]: You took gave him almost no chance to be successful and Mike McDonald's came in and completely like changed the way he coached him and approached him until he started getting a concussion every other day.
- 1:09:12[SPEAKER_07]: He was playing at a decently high level.
- 1:09:15[SPEAKER_07]: Now obviously he had ton of weapons, but
- 1:09:18[SPEAKER_07]: I, prior floor as me, and I just think that's a, that's a risky business if you want Shidorah Sanders to be your starting quarterback next year.
- 1:09:27[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:09:28[SPEAKER_03]: I definitely think so.
- 1:09:29[SPEAKER_03]: So this one here from Jacob.
- 1:09:30[SPEAKER_13]: Hey, what's going on, Docs Packass?
- 1:09:32[SPEAKER_13]: This is Jacob.
- 1:09:33[SPEAKER_13]: It's such a great day to be a Browns fan.
- 1:09:38[SPEAKER_13]: Miles Garrett brace the sack record, Andre Schmitt gets his revenge.
- 1:09:44[SPEAKER_13]: I wish I was able to watch this game, but I was working sadly.
- 1:09:48[SPEAKER_13]: So I wasn't able to understand the play calls I wasn't able to watch it.
- 1:09:52[SPEAKER_13]: I know the first corner was horrible.
- 1:09:54[SPEAKER_13]: Second quarter was a little bit better for the offense.
- 1:09:58[SPEAKER_13]: The offense played all around good.
- 1:10:00[SPEAKER_13]: getting a little worried there in the second quarter with no Tyson Campbell and no Denzel Ward.
- 1:10:06[SPEAKER_13]: But luckily, Tyson Campbell came back.
- 1:10:09[SPEAKER_13]: I don't even know who the corner was.
- 1:10:11[SPEAKER_13]: He played okay, I guess.
- 1:10:14[SPEAKER_13]: He had the touchdown thrown on him for the bangles to get the lead.
- 1:10:19[SPEAKER_13]: But we had a great two minute offense there.
- 1:10:22[SPEAKER_13]: Get shmitting to feel glory and it's great.
- 1:10:25[SPEAKER_13]: Sorry for my dogs barking.
- 1:10:27[SPEAKER_13]: But yeah, it's a beautiful day to be a Browns fan.
- 1:10:31[SPEAKER_03]: Let's go a Browns and let's get car now.
- 1:10:33[SPEAKER_03]: Tate.
- 1:10:35[SPEAKER_03]: I love how he says sorry for my dog's barking, but then he's barking.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_03]: Come on.
- 1:10:38[SPEAKER_03]: It's a dog's day, baby.
- 1:10:39[SPEAKER_03]: I did want to storks here in the Chad just popped up says Tate is not a first round talent.
- 1:10:43[SPEAKER_03]: Tate is a second round pick.
- 1:10:45[SPEAKER_03]: ESPN released their current as it stands right now, the players that they have first round grades on.
- 1:10:50[SPEAKER_03]: And there's only 11 players that have first round grades and Cardinal Tate is number six or seven on the list.
- 1:10:57[SPEAKER_03]: He's the receiver.
- 1:10:58[SPEAKER_03]: He's the receiver.
- 1:10:59[SPEAKER_03]: He's the receiver.
- 1:11:00[SPEAKER_07]: Yes sir.
- 1:11:02[SPEAKER_07]: Come on guys.
- 1:11:03[SPEAKER_07]: Like this not pretend to like the last month month.
- 1:11:05[SPEAKER_07]: He wasn't banged up.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
- 1:11:07[SPEAKER_07]: He's playing a little bit banged up.
- 1:11:09[SPEAKER_07]: Cardinal Tate is the real deal.
- 1:11:11[SPEAKER_07]: He is.
- 1:11:12[SPEAKER_07]: If we pick Cardinal Tate at six and he ends up being a bus.
- 1:11:16[SPEAKER_07]: I'll live with that.
- 1:11:17[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, I'll eat that one for sure.
- 1:11:19[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm not going to do it.
- 1:11:21[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not going to have, I'm not calling him Holy Ojoans.
- 1:11:23[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not doing another Holy Ojoans where we pass on the guy.
- 1:11:26[SPEAKER_07]: And now he's going to walk into the Hall of Fame as we have, we got nobody.
- 1:11:32[SPEAKER_07]: That's one of the worst trades ever.
- 1:11:34[SPEAKER_07]: So if we're known for that, yes.
- 1:11:38[SPEAKER_07]: If we draft Cardinal Tate and he ends up being a bus and sucking,
- 1:11:41[SPEAKER_07]: I'll live with that decision.
- 1:11:42[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not going to live with watching him be a stud on another team and he was just sitting there for us to take.
- 1:11:48[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, guess who the last receiver take from Ohio State in the first round that was a bust?
- 1:11:54[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, there's some people trying to, I don't know who it is either.
- 1:11:58[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know the answer.
- 1:11:59[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know the answer.
- 1:12:00[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay.
- 1:12:01[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:12:02[SPEAKER_07]: Some people would say Marvin Harrison.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, he's coming.
- 1:12:05[SPEAKER_07]: Don't worry.
- 1:12:07[SPEAKER_03]: He said he's going to be okay.
- 1:12:09[SPEAKER_07]: Bad QB play.
- 1:12:10[SPEAKER_07]: Bad.
- 1:12:11[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, he's like not even a focal point of their offense for some reason.
- 1:12:14[SPEAKER_03]: So he's been mishandled badly.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
- 1:12:18[SPEAKER_03]: He'll be okay.
- 1:12:20[SPEAKER_03]: So do we have any more voicemails or is that it?
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_03]: We do.
- 1:12:22[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna end with Brad.
- 1:12:24[SPEAKER_03]: It's gonna save these songs for the going out here.
- 1:12:27[SPEAKER_06]: Don't stop believing in my Oscar at being a cleaner.
- 1:12:35[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:12:37[SPEAKER_06]: Super Bowl, super browns.
- 1:12:40[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
- 1:12:43[SPEAKER_06]: Well, we end of the season with the win boys.
- 1:12:46[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, two game win streak.
- 1:12:49[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we're all sweat and there if Miles can get the record, but he got it.
- 1:12:57[SPEAKER_06]: And Andre, that game winning quick kick, awesome.
- 1:13:02[SPEAKER_06]: Man, offense, you know, we all saw it.
- 1:13:06[SPEAKER_06]: Anyways, man, Defund's is great today.
- 1:13:09[SPEAKER_06]: A mile is great.
- 1:13:10[SPEAKER_06]: Andre, great.
- 1:13:11[SPEAKER_06]: We're in the off season boys.
- 1:13:13[SPEAKER_06]: We'll see what the off season drama brings us.
- 1:13:16[SPEAKER_06]: It's Kevin gonna still be here.
- 1:13:17[SPEAKER_06]: It's these two game wins, save it a job.

- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_02]: It sucks.
- 1:13:35[SPEAKER_07]: I got to wait an entire office.
- 1:13:36[SPEAKER_07]: He's now to hear more Brad songs.
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
- 1:13:39[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I'm sure he'll put him out there.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, don't worry.
- 1:13:41[SPEAKER_07]: We'll be all right.
- 1:13:43[SPEAKER_07]: If you guys jump in the the discord in the dog pack, Brad will make.
- 1:13:48[SPEAKER_07]: Hey, I songs, I like the brown season to post them in there and they're pretty good.

- 1:14:16[SPEAKER_07]: If we move on, it's going to be who we're getting.

- 1:14:28[SPEAKER_07]: I think there's at least a Kevin, there's some Kevin Bros.
