SPEAKER_00: Well, it means Inktober.

SPEAKER_00: An art challenge where you draw every day, preferably with inks.

SPEAKER_00: And for the past like seven years I have tried to do it every year.

SPEAKER_00: But I always fail after four days.

SPEAKER_00: I never get past four days.

SPEAKER_00: I don't know why.

SPEAKER_00: It just happened.

SPEAKER_00: So for this year I try to do something different.

SPEAKER_00: I took the list, the official list, to sketch out each day before it all starts.

SPEAKER_00: And I think I sketched like Eight or nine days before it got boring to do that too.

SPEAKER_00: I started in one kind of sketchbook and then moved out over to another sketchbook.

SPEAKER_00: Different kind of tape papers and size of the both.

SPEAKER_00: But yeah, it got boring to do the sketches like I said.

SPEAKER_00: And then it all started.

SPEAKER_00: I was thinking to do mostly inking and have like a grey watercolor brush for shadows and stuff.

SPEAKER_00: I have been taking this course over at,

SPEAKER_00: I think it's called Learn Square, an ink sketching course.

SPEAKER_00: I bought the whole bundle for it, for four different courses into one.

SPEAKER_00: The fundamentals, landscapes, architecture, and the last one is not out yet.

SPEAKER_00: But the other three has been amazing and really wanted to try to do what I've learned, you know.

SPEAKER_00: And I even bought new brushes, ink brushes, before this little challenge.

SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I tried them out.

SPEAKER_00: Had this image in my head, how to do everything.

SPEAKER_00: And yeah, after like three days, I started to work.

SPEAKER_00: I didn't even manage to do the first day on the first version that I started doing

SPEAKER_00: Because I saw this YouTube video,

SPEAKER_00: I don't remember the name,

SPEAKER_00: but she did like miniature sketches with watercolor and it got me interested to do

SPEAKER_00: Because I have been in a watercolor mood lately.

SPEAKER_00: So I started to sketch up these mini windows to work with.

SPEAKER_00: So I did a few days.

SPEAKER_00: Because I started over in the middle of the 9, between 3 and 4.

SPEAKER_00: So I had a few to keep going with.

SPEAKER_00: And yeah, then we hit the same roadblock again.

SPEAKER_00: I managed to do fifth and sixth.

SPEAKER_00: I put them together into one.

SPEAKER_00: And I started to follow a different prompt list made by the art

SPEAKER_00: teacher sites, Aaron and Gabby.

SPEAKER_00: I don't know.

SPEAKER_00: He has courses on the site.

SPEAKER_00: I've taken a few of his courses too.

SPEAKER_00: So it's a little bit different wordings, you know.

SPEAKER_00: So the first two is the official and then I went with the other list.

SPEAKER_00: I want to do this Inktober, but it just doesn't work.

SPEAKER_00: I think my biggest problem is that it's the waiting to do one each day.

SPEAKER_00: If I just in the mood to do something, I need to do it right now.

SPEAKER_00: If I wait, that will be lost forever.

SPEAKER_00: And I have been trying...

SPEAKER_00: That's why I did those sketches, so many at once, before I got bored.

SPEAKER_00: Because I was in the mood for doing it, but then it just disappeared.

SPEAKER_00: I think that's the biggest problem.

SPEAKER_00: As of doing this recording for this podcast, I'm still stuck at six.

SPEAKER_00: The month is still going.

SPEAKER_00: I could go back and just do a few by like cross the board, you know.

SPEAKER_00: But doing this like daily changes, I don't...

SPEAKER_00: I don't think they are for me.

SPEAKER_00: It's one thing to have this own challenge to sketch every day.

SPEAKER_00: Then you have to come up with your own ideas and like,

SPEAKER_00: oh, today I want to draw lions or tomorrow this day is trees, you know.

SPEAKER_00: But going after a prompt list?

SPEAKER_00: It's kind of hard to come up with ideas.

SPEAKER_00: And then you see other people on social media coming up with so great ideas.

SPEAKER_00: And I was like, why didn't I come up with that?

SPEAKER_00: Sometimes my brain is just stuck.

SPEAKER_00: It's not like I can't come up with ideas.

SPEAKER_00: Because if I have a sentence to go with, then my brain just starts working.

SPEAKER_00: But just one word...

SPEAKER_00: That is kind of harder sometimes.

SPEAKER_00: So yeah, Inktober, yeah.

SPEAKER_00: And then you have Mermaid, Plain April.

SPEAKER_00: I never be able to do any of them.

SPEAKER_00: Never done any.

SPEAKER_00: It's just how it is, you know.
