Speaker 1: What's up everyone, and welcome to another episode of the
0:03
Epstein Chronicles. One of the people that was closest to
0:06
Jeffrey Epstein was Jess Staley, and according to Staley, him
0:11
and Jeffrey Epstein were just business associates. They weren't friends.
0:16
They had no association outside of business dealings. At least
0:21
that was the story at first. And then as things
0:24
started to progress, as we started to learn more well,
0:28
we started to learn that Jess Staley's story was falling apart.
0:31
And boy did the unmaking of Jess Staley occur quickly.
0:35
And not only did he admit that he was on
0:38
Epstein's island, that he was sending Epstein all kinds of
0:40
crazy emails, he also admitted that he had so called
0:45
consensual sex with one of Jeffrey Epstein's assistants. Now which
0:50
assistant was it. Was it Sarah Kellen, Was it Nadia Marsenkova,
0:57
Was it Adriana Ross? I doubt it was Leslie Groff
1:01
and I don't think that it was Adriana Ross. So
1:04
if it was Sarah Kellen or if it was Nadia,
1:08
then whoever that was was in fact traffic to Jess
1:11
Day and that's before we even get to the girl
1:15
that he was talking about in the emails, Snow White,
1:18
Beauty and the Beast, whatever any of that meant. So
1:22
in this episode, we're going to talk a little bit
1:24
more about Jess Stay and how his admission that he
1:27
had so called consensual relations with one of Epstein's assistants
1:32
blows the whole narrative that Epstein wasn't trafficking women directly
1:35
out of the water. The public has continuously been asked
1:38
to believe that Epstein traffic girls and women into a vacuum,
1:43
as if the machinery existed only for him and never
1:46
served anyone outside of himself. Now, that claim has always
1:49
been absurd, because trafficking enterprises do not survive for decades
1:54
by being socially isolated, financially useless, and operationally self Containedstein's
2:00
world was built around the access, dependency, leverage, secrecy, introduction,
2:06
and permission. His homes were controlled environments where staff, assistants, visitors,
2:11
young women, powerful men, lawyers, bankers, academics, politicians, and fixtures
2:18
moved through a system that he designed. When just Staley
2:21
admitted that he had what he characterized as consensual sexual
2:25
relations with one of Epstein's assistants. That admission did not
2:29
land in a vacuum. It landed inside a record already
2:32
crowded with allegations that Epstein abused, controlled, manipulated, and exploited
2:37
women who worked around them. For the past year, one
2:41
fallback defense has been that Epstein may have abused girls
2:44
and women, but there is supposedly no proof that he
2:47
trafficked anyone to anyone else. Now that phrase has been
2:51
used like a trapdoor, a way to collapse the entire
2:53
scandal back down to Epstein himself. Staley's own admission changes
2:58
the shape of that conversation because it establishes that a
3:02
woman inside Epstein's employment orbit, if you want to call it, that,
3:05
had sexual contact with one of Epstein's most important banking relationships.
3:11
That doesn't automatically prove every legal element of trafficking offense
3:15
against Daily, and no responsible analysis should pretend that it does.
3:20
But it absolutely destroys the lazy claim that there's no
3:23
public evidence of Epstein linked women being sexually accessible to
3:27
powerful associates, And it forces the harder question of whether
3:32
his assistant was acting freely or whether she was operating
3:35
inside Epstein's broader system of control, pressure, dependency, and exploitation. Listen,
3:43
in an ordinary setting between two genuinely independent adults with
3:47
no course of architecture around them, that word might carry
3:50
far more weight. But Epstein's universe was not ordinary, and
3:54
it was not neutral. It was a predatory ecosystem where money, housing, employments, status, shame, secrecy, fear,
4:02
and proximity to power could all be weaponized. Epstein specialized
4:07
in coercion that looked from the outside like opportunity, employment, sophistication, generosity,
4:14
or access. He knew how to make dependency look voluntary.
4:18
He knew how to make exploitation look like adult choice.
4:22
And that's why the question is not simply whether Staley
4:25
used the word consensual, but whether Epstein's system made the
4:28
word morally and legally insufficient. Now. Sarah Kellen's public position
4:34
is especially important here because she was long described by
4:37
others as part of Epstein's machinery, yet she has also
4:41
claimed that Epstein abused her. She is alleged in substance
4:45
that Epstein's sexually and psychologically abused, controlled, manipulated, dominated, and
4:51
gas litter over a long period of time. It's not
4:54
a minor claim and it can't be brushed away as
4:57
a side issue. And I think that it forces us
5:00
to confront the possibility that someone could both be an
5:02
instrument inside Epstein's operation and a victim of that same operation.
5:08
In course of systems, that SIT's not unusual. Predators often
5:13
convert victims into facilitators, messengers, recruiters, shields, and buffers. That
5:18
doesn't erase the harm done to other victims, but it
5:22
does complicate the cartoon version of the story, where everyone
5:25
is either purely villain or purely innocent. And I think
5:30
that that same complexity applies to the broader category of
5:33
Epstein's assistance and female staffers. We all want clean labels,
5:37
but in Epstein's world, nothing was clean. A person can
5:40
be victimized and still be used to harm others. And
5:44
that's why Staley's admission is important, because it sits directly
5:48
on the fault line between employment, sexual access, coercion, and power. Now,
5:53
the public record around Staley and Epstein has never looked
5:56
like a casual client relationship between a banker and an
6:00
unpleasant wealthy man. Regulators and reporters have described a far
6:05
closer association, including extensive communication, personal language, visits and questions
6:11
about how Staley represented the relationship. Now, Staley, of course
6:16
is denied wrongdoing and disputed key characterizations, but the relationship
6:21
was serious enough to become a major regulatory issue. He
6:25
was a high level global banker operating in a world
6:28
where due diligence, risk, reputation, and client intelligence are supposed
6:33
to matter. He wasn't some random guest wandering into a
6:36
party without context. When a man in that position admits
6:40
sexual contact with a woman inside Epstein's staff orbit, the
6:43
surrounding circumstances become impossible to ignore. The question becomes whether
6:49
Epstein's financial world, social world, and sexual world were more
6:53
intertwined than Epstein's defenders want to admit. By the Lay
6:57
two thousands, Epstein was publicly known as a convicted sex offender.
7:02
The Florida deal may have shielded him from broader federal
7:05
reckoning at the time, but it did not erase what
7:07
he'd done to others. It didn't erase the warning signs
7:10
around his homes, his staff, his soul, called massage operation,
7:14
or the constant movement of young women through his orbit.
7:17
Anyone who continued operating close to Epstein after that point
7:21
was not dealing with a blank slate. They were dealing
7:24
with a man whose criminal sexual conduct was public knowledge,
7:28
and in my opinion, that makes every subsequent relationship, every visit,
7:32
every favor, every strange message, every sexual encounter connected to
7:37
his environment more serious. The post conviction context is what
7:42
makes the idea no posture much harder to accept without scrutiny.
7:49
The claim is not that Staley has been criminally convicted
7:52
of trafficking. He is not. The claim is not that
7:55
every legal element necessary to prove trafficking offense against him
7:59
has already been established beyond a reasonable doubt. It is not.
8:03
My claim is that his own admission creates a factual
8:06
anchor that the public can no longer ignore. He admitted
8:10
sexual contact with an Epstein assistant. At least one prominent
8:14
Epstein assistant has led to that Epstein abused and controlled her,
8:18
and other women in that orbit have been discussed in
8:20
court records, survivor accounts, and public reporting as part of
8:24
a sexually course of environment. If the woman involved with
8:27
Staley was one of the women abused, coerced, or controlled
8:30
by Epstein, then the implications are devastating. Look in legal terms,
8:37
trafficking requires proof of specific elements, including force, fraud, coercion, exploitation,
8:42
or age related factors, depending on the statute. In moral
8:46
and practical terms, trafficking can involve a person being controlled, delivered,
8:51
made available, moved, pressured, or exploited for sexual purposes by
8:56
someone with power over them. Epstein's World War was built
9:00
for that exact ambiguity. He didn't need to hand someone
9:04
a document labeled trafficking transaction. He created environments where access
9:09
was normalized and where staff, visitors, appointments, travel payments, and
9:14
sexual expectations blurred together. Powerful men benefited from that ambiguity
9:20
because it gave them plausible deniability. They could claim they
9:23
never saw threat, never arrange coercion, and never knew what
9:27
machinery produced the woman standing in front of them. Here's
9:30
some inside baseball. Powerful men rarely describe exploitative encounters by
9:35
saying they took advantage of someone trapped in a course
9:38
of system. They say it was private, adult, consensual, embarrassing,
9:44
and unrelated to anything larger. They reduced the situation to
9:47
one isolated encounter and strip away the system that produced it.
9:52
Epstein's entire operation depended on that kind of fragmentation. A
9:56
massage was just a massage until the pattern revealed what
10:00
the massages were. A payment was just help until the
10:03
money started looking like a leash. A sexual encounter with
10:07
staff can't be analyzed honestly without asking what kind of
10:11
staff Epstein kept and what kind of power he held
10:14
over them, And in my opinion, this is why the
10:17
Stally admission is so damaging to the institutional narrative. JP Morgan, Barclays, regulators, courts, Congress,
10:25
and the press have all had to wrestle with the
10:28
fact that Epstein was not some fringe predator operating in isolation.
10:32
He was banked, serviced, introduced, protected, tolerated, and repeatedly legitimized.
10:39
Staley was one of the most important banking figures connected
10:42
to Epstein, which makes the questions around them central rather
10:46
than peripheral. When a banker in that position admits sexual
10:49
contact with someone an Epstein's staff orbit, we're not talking
10:53
celebrity scandal trivia. It's evidence of how closely Epstein's financial, social,
10:59
and sexual world overlapped, and that overlap is the heart
11:03
of the scandal. It's also exactly what the public has
11:06
been discouraged from examining too closely. And that's because they
11:10
want Epstein to be the only predator, Maxwell to be
11:13
the only helper, and everyone else to be nothing more
11:17
than a naive dinner guest, banker, donor lawyer, scientist, prince,
11:21
or a social climber who somehow noticed nothing. And look,
11:25
that story insults basic intelligence. It asks the public that
11:29
means you to believe in international exploitation network function for
11:34
years in front of some of the most powerful people
11:36
and observing people in the world, yet none of them
11:39
understood what was happening. It asked the public to believe
11:42
Epstein was brilliant enough to manipulate banks, universities, royalty, politicians, billionaires,
11:49
and the leite circles, but somehow to isolate it to
11:53
share access favors or compromising opportunities. You know that contradiction
11:58
is ridiculous. Epstein's value to powerful people was not merely
12:02
his money. His value was access, insulation, secrets, and service.
12:08
And that's why the situation with Staley cuts directly through
12:11
contradiction because it does not only begin with a rumor.
12:15
It begins with his own admission of sexual contact with
12:18
a woman from Epstein's staff. From there, the question becomes
12:22
whether that woman was part of a course of environment.
12:25
If she was, then the implications are grave. Even if
12:28
Staley insists he believes the encounter was consensual, A man's
12:32
belief about consent does not automatically answer whether the woman
12:36
was free from outside pressure, dependency, manipulation, or control. Even
12:42
if Staley did not personally course her, And that doesn't
12:45
answer whether Epstein's system made or sexually available. Even if
12:48
no prosecutor is charged Staley, that doesn't erase the public
12:52
significance of the admission. Legal non prosecution is not factual exoneration,
12:58
especially in a scandal defined by institutional failure. And I
13:03
think this is the mistake that people make when they
13:05
talk about the absence of the so called client list.
13:09
They confuse the absence of a clean government spreadsheet with
13:12
the absence of evidence. Yo, that's childish. Criminal enterprises do
13:18
not always preserve themselves and need files mark clients. They
13:21
exist in travel records, bank records, phone messages, emails, calendars,
13:27
survivor testimony, immunity deals, staff assignments, deposition transcripts, civil complaints,
13:33
and the sudden amnesia of powerful institutions. The demand for
13:38
one magic list became such a distraction from the record
13:42
that already existed, and Staley's admission belongs inside that record.
13:47
It's a concrete fact around which serious questions can be organized.
13:51
And listen the staff. They weren't incidental to Epstein's operation.
13:55
They were the connective tissue. Staff answered phones, scheduled appointments, calendars,
14:01
coordinated travel, opened doors, handled logistics, transmitted instruction, and maintained
14:06
the rhythm of the machine. In ordinary business, those tasks
14:11
are administrative. In Epstein's world, those tasks sat dangerously close
14:15
to sexual exploitation, and that's why the distinction between assistant
14:20
and victim becomes unstable. If an assistant was being abused
14:24
by Epstein while functioning inside his household or office system,
14:28
then she occupied the position of extremely vulnerable. If a
14:31
powerful visitor then had sexual access to such a person,
14:35
the question can end with whether she verbally agreed, and
14:40
I think that they should be a central issue with
14:42
any serious congressional review. Staley should be asked under oath
14:46
when the accounter occurred, where it occurred, Howell was arranged,
14:50
who introduced them, and who knew about it. He should
14:54
be asked whether Epstein was present before or after, whether
14:58
transportation or housing involved, and whether gifts, employment, or payments
15:02
were part of the surrounding circumstances. He should be asked
15:06
whether Epstein ever discussed female staff sexually or implied that
15:10
women around them were available to powerful associates. He should
15:14
be asked what he understood about Epstein's conviction at the time.
15:19
He should be asked whether he ever saw women in
15:21
Epstein's orbit appear uncomfortable, fearful, controlled, instructed, or dependent. These
15:27
aren't salacious questions, they're central questions, and without answers, the
15:32
publics being asked to accept a sanitized version of events
15:35
built by the very people with every incentive to sanitize them.
15:39
And look, there's another ugly truth here, and it has
15:42
to be said plainly. Epstein's operation survived because elite society
15:47
always been comfortable treating certain women as disposable proximity costs.
15:52
The young women around Epstein were often viewed through their usefulness, appearance, obedience, access, silence,
15:58
or perceived morals ambiguity. That's how predators launder victims into
16:03
labels like staff assistant, model, massage therapist, girlfriend, recruiter, or
16:08
party girl, and once the label changes, sympathy begins to disappear.
16:13
Once sympathy disappears, powerful men can describe the situation as adult, messy, private, sophisticated,
16:20
and consensual. That's the oldest trick in the book. Epstein
16:25
didn't invent it, but he perfected it inside elite networks.
16:28
I think that the daily admission should be understood as
16:30
a stress test for the entire Epstein narrative. If people
16:34
still insist that Epstein never traffic women to anyone else
16:37
after a powerful banker admits sex with an Epstein assistant,
16:41
then they're not analyzing the evidence. They're defending a conclusion.
16:45
They're moving the goalposts in real time. First they demanded
16:49
proof that powerful men were in Epstein's orbit. Then they
16:52
demanded proof that women in that orbit were abused. Then
16:57
they demanded proof that powerful men had sexual contact with
17:01
women in that orbit. And when that admission appears, they
17:04
retreat to whether every criminal element has been proven in court.
17:08
My friends, that's not skepticism. We call that narrative protection.
17:16
Any serious analysis still has to preserve the distinction between allegation,
17:20
admission and friends and proof. Staley admitted sexual contact with
17:24
an Epstein assistant, but characterized it as consensual. Sarah Kellen
17:29
has alleged to that Epstein abused her, but the full
17:32
evidentiary record around every claim still requires careful examination. Other
17:37
assistant related claims have emerged through lawsuits, reporting trial references,
17:42
survivor accounts, immunity documents, and public records, but not every
17:46
claim has been tested in the same forum. Staley has
17:50
not been criminally charged in relation to the encounter described.
17:53
Those caveats matter because precision matters, but caveats are not blindfolds.
18:00
The fact that something has not been charged does not
18:02
make it meaningless. So I think that brings us to
18:06
the moral question, and I think the moral question is
18:08
painfully simple. If Epstein abused an assistant, controlled her, shaped
18:13
her dependency, and placed her inside a sexualized ecosystem where
18:17
powerful associates could access her, than any powerful associate who
18:21
had sex with her benefited from Epstein's course of world,
18:24
whether or not he personally built every piece of it.
18:28
That's the point that people keep trying to avoid. Trafficking
18:32
is not only the dramatic image of someone being dragged
18:35
across a border. It can be the quiet conversion of
18:38
a vulnerable person into an available resource inside a closed
18:42
system of money, fear, employment, housing, and obedience. Epstein understood
18:48
that better than almost anyone. He built a world where
18:51
exploitation could wear the costume of sophistication, and Staley's admission
18:56
forces of the public to ask whether he encountered a
18:59
free woman or a woman produced by that world. So yeah,
19:03
the Stally admission is a major problem for the narrative
19:07
that Jeffrey Epstein never traffic girls or women to anyone else.
19:11
It does not by itself convict Staley of a trafficking crime.
19:15
It does not by itself answer every factual question about
19:18
the woman involved. It doesn't eliminate the need for sworn testimony,
19:22
document review, and careful legal analysis. But it does demolish
19:27
the lazy claim that there's no public basis for asking
19:31
whether Epstein's powerful associates sexually benefited from his operation. The
19:36
public now has an admitted sexual encounter between a powerful
19:40
Epstein connected banker and a woman inside epstein staff orbit,
19:44
alongside allegations that woman in that orbit were abused, controlled,
19:49
and exploited by Epstein. And when you put those pieces together,
19:53
the comfortable official story starts to look less like caution
19:57
and more like containment. All the information that goes with
