  Today is Tuesday, November 19th, 2024. Yesterday was my sister Leanne's birthday.

  Today, we're going to talk about something more on our normal platform.

  And this is what we're going to talk about.

  The last time that you can recall, if you can, do you remember feeling left out?

  When you were growing up? Do you remember at times when you were about to play
• 2:06
  gym and they were going to do an activity and the activity that they were going
• 2:10
  to do was kickball or maybe bombardment? We know it as dodgeball today.

  And you're the last one to get picked. How does that make you feel?
• 2:20
  You always felt that you were last.
• 2:23
  Growing up in my early teens, I was never picked last, but I was picked next to last.
• 2:29
  And growing up, I always felt that I was the last choice.
• 2:35
  You know, as I got older and I started trying to date, all my friends had girlfriends.

  And it seems like I was always the last one to try and find someone to go to
• 2:47
  a homecoming or a junior your prom.

  I always felt last. As I grew up and getting into my 20s, every time my friends
• 2:57
  and I would go out, we'd go to a club and it seems like every guy would get
• 3:02
  a phone number. Every guy would get a date.
• 3:04
  Everyone would have a date for occasions. And I never did. I was always last.
• 3:10
  They always say the expression that nice guys finish last.
• 3:15
  But in this situation, I feel like I finished first.

  I feel like God spared me. God spares us all because as we grow up and we learn from our experiences,
• 3:27
  we end up doing things that we knew we were destined to do. We become remarkable.

  We become special. We become first.
• 3:39
  We don't finish last. We never have.
• 3:43
  We always felt like in that culture that we've been growing up in,
• 3:47
  that's how it made us feel.

  Yes, surely it always appeared that way for some of us.

  I mean, if you were lucky enough to be a jock or someone who had the experiences
• 3:58
  to be successful in high school, we call it popularity.

  Some people that were popular were never truly happy. Those that were unpopular seemed to be more happy.

  Think about all the things that we've encountered over the years. Forget about the past.

  Yes, I'm bringing up the past because I'm trying to get us to the present.

  Just to show you a comparison. The past may not have been the greatest times
• 4:25
  for some of us, but it doesn't define who you are today.

  I know so many of you that have shared stories with me about finishing last,
• 4:34
  being picked last, not knowing where you were going to be, only to be successful
• 4:40
  and happy and blessed today.

  So today, I want you to concentrate on the good times.

  I want you to concentrate on all that we have to offer the world today.

  Stop worrying about what other people think.
• 4:55
  Stop concentrating on the negative.

  Keep the positive right at the grasps of your fingertips But then I want you

  to grab onto it Hold on tight Because it's not going to be a bumpy ride It's

  smooth sailing from here,

  Surely when you are a believer of God And you believe in our Lord and Savior

  Jesus Christ There are always times where our faith is tested There are always

  times where we feel as if We are unsure,

  uncertain Where we want to be or where we need to be But one thing is for sure
• 5:25
  The path to righteousness has always been in front of us and the light that shines through us,

  the light that shines through our smiles and our sacrifices and our abilities
• 5:38
  to do things for others will be stronger.

  Will be more powerful and will

  be more engaging and more satisfying to those who are in our presence.

  Think about that today as you go about your day and always remember that God

  loves you that God believes in you that God trusts you and that God is never

  going to leave your side.
