Speaker 1: How you doing. You look sweaty? Why are you sweaty?
• 0:02
  Speaker 2: So?
• 0:02
Speaker 3: I worked out today right before the right before we
• 0:06
Speaker 3: started recording, I jumped on. Like most people in the world,
• 0:09
  Speaker 3: I bought a Peloton bike.
• 0:11
Speaker 1: All right, well not most people people that can afford
• 0:13
  Speaker 1: an expensive Peloton.
• 0:15
Speaker 3: But well, according to the stock market, right, which is
• 0:19
Speaker 3: failing right now, Peloton is the one product that is
• 0:23
Speaker 3: succeeding in these troubling times.
• 0:26
Speaker 1: Well yeah, so so yeah, because no one can go
• 0:28
Speaker 1: to the gym and it's like a subscription thing, right,
• 0:30
  Speaker 1: So a.
• 0:30
Speaker 3: Bunch of people, a bunch of people that bought Peloton bikes, right,
• 0:34
Speaker 3: and I am now riding with you know those people.
• 0:37
Speaker 1: How long do you go for forty five?
• 0:39
Speaker 3: I did a thirty minute class just now. But this
• 0:42
Speaker 3: dude kicked my ass.
• 0:43
  Speaker 4: You know.
• 0:43
Speaker 3: The last time I did it, I had a you know,
• 0:46
Speaker 3: I tried to pick a you know, we talked about this.
• 0:49
Speaker 1: I don't have to dance around your words. You tried
• 0:51
Speaker 1: to pick a hot chick.
• 0:52
Speaker 3: Yeah, I do have to dance around my words. I am,
• 0:56
  Speaker 3: I am.
• 0:56
Speaker 1: I'm sure your wife knows that you tried to pick
• 0:59
  Speaker 1: a hot shick.
• 1:01
Speaker 5: She does know, she well, she picked it. I kind
• 1:04
Speaker 5: of tricked her into picking it, and she.
• 1:07
Speaker 1: Was like, she was like, what do you want, Like,
• 1:08
  Speaker 1: I don't know. I prefer someone that looks a little
• 1:11
  Speaker 1: bit like.
• 1:11
Speaker 3: Her, right, And so I complained after the workout about
• 1:18
Speaker 3: how person talked too much and you know the stuff
• 1:21
Speaker 3: you do when you want to deflect, and my wife
• 1:25
Speaker 3: was like, well, I'll pick someone for you this time.
• 1:28
Speaker 3: So she picked this dude who was like a dude
• 1:32
Speaker 3: and was very commanding and everything like that and demanding.
• 1:36
Speaker 1: What was that better for you? Was it a better workout?
• 1:39
Speaker 5: It was a better workout for me.
• 1:40
Speaker 3: But then I started thinking to myself, well, maybe I'm
• 1:42
Speaker 3: playing this role wrong in my relationship with my wife.
• 1:46
Speaker 3: She picked the dude that's like, now, get on the bike,
• 1:51
Speaker 3: pedal faster, God damn it. But maybe that's pedal hard, motherfucker.
• 1:57
Speaker 1: Maybe that's what you need.
• 1:59
Speaker 3: Maybe I need to switch chump my style instead of
• 2:01
Speaker 3: being the passive you know, gentle, you know, sensitive guy,
• 2:05
Speaker 3: you know the guy who loves puppy dogs and moonbeams,
• 2:11
Speaker 3: righty to be that motherfucker now saying well, I.
• 2:13
Speaker 1: Think that's probably good for you. I gotta admit I
• 2:16
Speaker 1: don't have a peloton bike. But if I got one,
• 2:18
Speaker 1: I think I would probably pick the pretty attractive girl
• 2:22
Speaker 1: to yell at me.
• 2:23
Speaker 5: I'm never gonna pick the pretty attractive girl again.
• 2:25
Speaker 1: I'm sure there's probably a pretty attractive girl who scream
• 2:28
Speaker 1: at you if you want. But what you're saying is
• 2:29
Speaker 1: you got better results from the dude who was like.
• 2:32
Speaker 3: Pedal, mother pucker pedal right now, God damn it, you
• 2:37
Speaker 3: ain't pedaling hard enough.
• 2:39
Speaker 1: Right For me, it's all about the music if I
• 2:41
Speaker 1: if the music's good. If I like the music, I
• 2:44
Speaker 1: go to a spin class and I will go so hard.
• 2:47
Speaker 1: But I can't get into it when it's like, when
• 2:49
  Speaker 1: it's music I don't like, I hate.
• 2:51
  Speaker 5: I know, I totally understand. I hate.
• 2:52
Speaker 3: I hate getting on a bike and having to listen
• 2:54
Speaker 3: to listen to something that I'm not in the mood too.
• 2:57
Speaker 1: So did the angry guy have good music?
• 3:00
Speaker 5: Raight up hip hop?
• 3:00
Speaker 1: All it's perfect for you?
• 3:02
Speaker 3: You love that it was straight up hip hop and
• 3:04
Speaker 3: it was good hip hop too, DMX Little Wayne old
• 3:07
  Speaker 3: school Little Wayne.
• 3:08
  Speaker 1: Oh see that's perfect. See. I think I think that's
• 3:10
Speaker 1: the key. Obviously. You want someone who's gonna push you
• 3:12
Speaker 1: and be like, come, on you wimp.
• 3:14
Speaker 5: You got this, but I can. I don't want you
• 3:16
Speaker 5: to call me a wimp. You could call me a motherfucker,
• 3:18
Speaker 5: but don't call me a wimp. You know what I mean.
• 3:19
Speaker 1: Rather be called motherfucker than wimp.
• 3:22
  Speaker 5: Yeah, absolutely, wow.
• 3:23
Speaker 1: I gotta write that down. I'm learning new things about
• 3:26
Speaker 1: you on this from.
• 3:26
Speaker 3: Here on out, from here on out, if you want to,
• 3:28
Speaker 3: if you want me to respond in a way that
• 3:30
  Speaker 3: it's positive.
• 3:32
Speaker 5: Hey, motherfucker, what's up?
• 3:33
Speaker 1: Do you want to count us into the theme song
• 3:36
  Speaker 1: as that guy?
• 3:37
Speaker 5: All right, here we go. God damnit, n't get ready
• 3:40
Speaker 5: for this? About six seven, ain't motherfucker.
• 3:43
Speaker 6: Here's some stories I'm not sure we made about a
• 3:49
Speaker 6: bunch of tops and nurses, and.
• 3:52
Speaker 5: I said, here's a story, so get around you here. Yeah.
• 4:05
Speaker 1: No, I'm so sorry everyone. I think that Donald has
• 4:10
Speaker 1: lost his damn quarantine. Mind tell them what else you
• 4:16
Speaker 1: bought for your kids? You sent me a video And
• 4:19
Speaker 1: first of all, Donald's like, I'm running you know, he
• 4:22
  Speaker 1: doesn't have a pool at his house. He's like, I'm
• 4:23
Speaker 1: running out of things for my kids to do. They're
• 4:25
Speaker 1: going crazy. I got this, uh, this water thing from
• 4:27
Speaker 1: them in the backyard. I pictured a kiddie pool. Dude,
• 4:31
Speaker 1: you bought like a fucking you bought like a fucking
• 4:33
Speaker 1: water park, an inflatable water park.
• 4:36
Speaker 3: I bought an inflatable water park, and we set it up,
• 4:38
Speaker 3: and I sincerely thought that these kids, like most kids,
• 4:42
Speaker 3: were gonna spend the whole day in the water park.
• 4:44
Speaker 1: How fast are they over it?
• 4:45
Speaker 3: They were over it in forty five minutes. And we
• 4:48
Speaker 3: spent so much money on this thing. Dude, it is
• 4:51
Speaker 3: like this morning we were ready for the water park
• 4:53
Speaker 3: and they were like, I'm good.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: Describe it to people. It's it's the size of like
• 4:58
  Speaker 1: three cars.
• 5:00
Speaker 3: Know, it's about the size of a nice big ass
• 5:01
Speaker 3: pickup truck, like a big one, like a Ford, you know,
• 5:04
Speaker 3: like the big ship, you know what I mean.
• 5:06
Speaker 5: Right, And it's huge.
• 5:08
Speaker 3: And also our backyard isn't grass, it's fake grass, right.
• 5:16
Speaker 3: Entirement problem is underneath that, it's just hard and so
• 5:21
Speaker 3: it's as you know, you climb up this big ass
• 5:23
Speaker 3: ladder about ten feet up and then you slide down
• 5:26
Speaker 3: the slide into the pool at the bottom and they're
• 5:30
Speaker 3: sliding onto concrete. Now, granted, we did worse than that
• 5:33
Speaker 3: when we were kids, but to watch my wife panic
• 5:36
Speaker 3: and lose her shit.
• 5:37
Speaker 5: It was a funny thing.
• 5:38
Speaker 3: Every time the kid climbed up, every time the kid
• 5:40
Speaker 3: slid down, she was like, I gotta go inside.
• 5:43
Speaker 5: I'm I'm gonna have a heart attack out here.
• 5:46
Speaker 1: And So, did you have a slipping slide when you're
• 5:48
  Speaker 1: a kid?
• 5:48
Speaker 5: I mean yeah, we used to slip and slide on
• 5:51
Speaker 5: concrete though, you know what I mean.
• 5:53
Speaker 1: Wait in Manhattan, in the city.
• 5:54
Speaker 5: Yeah, in the city.
• 5:55
Speaker 3: So I grew up in a building that had a
• 5:57
Speaker 3: big ass playground in the middle, like most buildings in
• 6:00
Speaker 3: Manhattan when you live in tall buildings, and they had
• 6:03
Speaker 3: and and and and you know, if somebody bought a
• 6:06
Speaker 3: slip and slide, we'd put it down on the concrete
• 6:09
  Speaker 3: on the playgrounds.
• 6:11
  Speaker 1: That's so dangerous.
• 6:12
Speaker 3: If you catch it right, it's fine. But if you
• 6:14
Speaker 3: don't catch it right, yeah, you're gonna hit your head on.
• 6:16
Speaker 1: The I don't remember a slipping slide ever being fun, Like,
• 6:18
Speaker 1: there was so much fun in setting it up, and
• 6:21
Speaker 1: then you'd go down at once and you'd be like,
• 6:22
  Speaker 1: ow wow.
• 6:24
Speaker 3: Well that depends on it, right. If you don't know
• 6:25
Speaker 3: how to slide, it hurts like it hurts.
• 6:27
Speaker 1: I wonder if they still sell slipping sides because there's
• 6:29
Speaker 1: sore be like lawsuits.
• 6:32
Speaker 5: They've even padded them now, so a slipping slide is
• 6:34
Speaker 5: now padded so that we running jump and dive, you can.
• 6:37
Speaker 5: You got a little bit.
• 6:38
Speaker 1: Of a kids today, Donald, they need it slipping slides.
• 6:43
Speaker 1: When I was a kid, we hurt ourselves. I remember
• 6:46
Speaker 1: setting it up on the lawn and my stepfather had
• 6:48
Speaker 1: just spent a fortune, you know, residing the lawn. And
• 6:51
Speaker 1: he came home and he was like, what the hell
• 6:54
Speaker 1: did you do? And I was like, we're slipping slided
• 6:56
Speaker 1: and he's like the law was all trashed and money
• 7:01
Speaker 1: he had just met a fortune. Reshot it like it
• 7:04
Speaker 1: looked like beautiful dream lawn, you know how like you
• 7:07
Speaker 1: know some people are about.
• 7:08
Speaker 5: Their line similar similar to how you were when my
• 7:11
  Speaker 5: wedding was over.
• 7:12
Speaker 1: Yeah, you trashed my one lawn, but you know what,
• 7:14
Speaker 1: it was all in the name of love. I'll do
• 7:15
Speaker 1: anything for you, You and your you and your family
• 7:18
Speaker 1: can trash my lawn any day. You put down a
• 7:21
Speaker 1: dance floor, yeah not a lawn, no, no, but on
• 7:25
Speaker 1: on an area it was a botchy court, but now
• 7:27
  Speaker 1: it's a garden. But you put down a full. I
• 7:29
Speaker 1: mean I was. I was shocked with the effort that
• 7:32
Speaker 1: when it looked beautiful, and I was for a minute,
• 7:34
Speaker 1: I was like we should keep it. And then people
• 7:36
Speaker 1: were like, well, it's not really meant to be permanent.
• 7:38
Speaker 5: It's like not like you know, you'd have a greenhouse
• 7:41
Speaker 5: without any greens in it. Pretty much.
• 7:44
Speaker 1: No, I mean, I didn't mean they tinted it because
• 7:46
Speaker 1: there was there was gonna rain, but like they put
• 7:48
Speaker 1: down this beautiful flooring, okay for your wedding, and I
• 7:51
Speaker 1: was like, oh my god, maybe I should keep that.
• 7:53
Speaker 1: And then as someone told me like, no, it's it's
• 7:55
Speaker 1: meant it's not weatherproof. It's meant to be like you know,
• 7:57
Speaker 1: last a weekend. So uh so we we took it down.
• 8:00
Speaker 1: But god, your wedding was really beautiful.
• 8:02
Speaker 3: I gotta say, well, dude, thank you very much for
• 8:05
Speaker 3: helping us out there. Man, you the cost of the
• 8:08
Speaker 3: wedding dropped dramatically when you said you could do it
• 8:10
  Speaker 3: in my backyard.
• 8:12
Speaker 1: Well I was so happy to be able to do
• 8:14
Speaker 1: that for you. And it was a beautiful ceremony and
• 8:16
Speaker 1: I'll never forget it. It was the way you guys did.
• 8:19
Speaker 1: The designer of it the whoever did all the decor
• 8:22
Speaker 1: and everything. It was like almost like a farm, like
• 8:23
Speaker 1: a farm vibes, you know, like farm.
• 8:26
Speaker 5: Tables, and it was We tried to make it country
• 8:28
  Speaker 5: meet soul.
• 8:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, country meats. So I remember there was a gospel
• 8:32
Speaker 1: There was a lot of music. There was a gospel choir.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: What did they sing. They sang a song from Sesame Street.
• 8:37
Speaker 5: No, they sang a song from the Muppets. Everything is great,
• 8:41
Speaker 5: everything is grand. I got the whole wide world in
• 8:45
Speaker 5: the palm of my hand. Everything is perfect. It's falling
• 8:50
Speaker 5: into place. I can't seem to wipe this smile off
• 8:54
Speaker 5: my face. Life's a happy song when there's someone by
• 8:58
Speaker 5: my side to sing along.
• 9:00
Speaker 1: That's so beautiful. That's so beautiful. How did you guys
• 9:04
Speaker 1: pick that? I mean, I never heard anyone I picked.
• 9:06
Speaker 3: I picked that song. So the new Muppet movie had
• 9:10
Speaker 3: come out. I guess it had been out, I guess.
• 9:12
Speaker 3: But the music from that movie obviously is amazing. It
• 9:14
Speaker 3: won an Oscar. But that song is the I believe
• 9:18
Speaker 3: it's the first song of the movie, and so it's
• 9:22
Speaker 3: the number one number. And Muppet songs are always dope.
• 9:27
Speaker 3: The Rainbow Connection, you.
• 9:28
Speaker 1: Know, I mean, I had never heard that song. And
• 9:31
Speaker 1: just just so people can picture it, I had told
• 9:33
Speaker 1: all my neighbors like, we're gonna have a big ass wedding,
• 9:37
Speaker 1: and I sent them like little gift baskets, and I
• 9:41
Speaker 1: sent them a letter saying, hey, it's gonna be loud.
• 9:43
Speaker 1: We'll be done by midnight. You know, I hope everybody's cool,
• 9:47
Speaker 1: but I was anxious because you know, my neighborhood is
• 9:51
Speaker 1: the sound bounces around, so everyone was. Everyone was coming
• 9:53
Speaker 1: to this wedding, whether they wanted to or not. Right,
• 9:56
Speaker 1: and and so that's all set up and it's all
• 9:59
Speaker 1: quiet and all, and then the gospel choir comes and
• 10:02
Speaker 1: it's time for that moment and they.
• 10:04
Speaker 5: Turned just me walking out for that, right, so they
• 10:07
Speaker 5: turned but they but they.
• 10:08
Speaker 1: Turn on the mics. And I had never in my
• 10:12
Speaker 1: mind imagined it was gonna be this loud. And granted
• 10:14
Speaker 1: it was beautiful and amazing, but as the neurotic homeowner,
• 10:17
Speaker 1: I was like, oh shit, these people are gonna be
• 10:19
Speaker 1: so pissed. But maybe they weren't, because it's amazing.
• 10:23
  Speaker 4: We weren't.
• 10:23
Speaker 1: I guess there were were they acquired. It was like
• 10:25
Speaker 1: six people. I don't know if six.
• 10:26
Speaker 5: People, but they were.
• 10:27
Speaker 1: But anyway, this this amazing gospel group sang that song
• 10:31
Speaker 1: and it just it just reverberated. It was beautiful. It
• 10:35
Speaker 1: bounced everywhere all over the whole neighborhood. And I was like,
• 10:39
Speaker 1: this is I was. I just it was magical. I
• 10:41
Speaker 1: got tears in my eyes.
• 10:42
Speaker 3: Yeah, so I got to ask my wife what the
• 10:44
Speaker 3: name of the band was? The name of the group was,
• 10:47
Speaker 3: But also they when she came down the owl, I
• 10:50
Speaker 3: can't sing this song for anything because Beyonce sings it.
• 10:53
Speaker 1: But you can sing better than Beyonce.
• 10:55
  Speaker 5: Don I wish.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: Oh my god, you should have seen Joel's face. Everybody.
• 11:01
Speaker 1: Joelle made a face like how dare you, sir?
• 11:04
  Speaker 5: Mind?
• 11:05
  Speaker 1: Joelle's face was like I will not Joelle's Joel's face
• 11:09
Speaker 1: was like, I will not be a part of this podcast.
• 11:18
  Speaker 6: Yo.
• 11:19
  Speaker 5: It's funny.
• 11:20
Speaker 3: It's just like the character Joel when Eddie Murphy makes
• 11:23
Speaker 3: fun of Stevie wan Day and the dude comes up
• 11:24
Speaker 3: to Stevie wanted to Stevie wanted some musical changes.
• 11:27
Speaker 1: Scott, Damn, you can't joke about Beyonce. You cannot. You
• 11:33
Speaker 1: can't even say jokingly. Donald Faison sings better than people
• 11:36
Speaker 1: like Joelle, like lose their breath.
• 11:38
Speaker 5: That's about We lost about seventy five listeners just now.
• 11:42
Speaker 1: Yeah. People were like, I love the podcast, but Donald
• 11:46
Speaker 1: better than Beyonce. Fuck y'all, she's on Queen Crubs. Fuck
• 11:52
Speaker 1: Donald's is she here, Queen Joel?
• 11:57
  Speaker 5: She is listen.
• 11:58
Speaker 2: She has the hottest checkout right now.
• 12:00
Speaker 5: She just released a new one, Megan the Stallion. I
• 12:02
Speaker 5: believe the track was dope before Beyonce truly truly elevated it,
• 12:09
  Speaker 5: just like that.
• 12:09
Speaker 3: Ed Sharon record got elevated after Beyonce got on it. Dude, Yeah,
• 12:13
Speaker 3: no doubt, no doubt.
• 12:14
Speaker 5: Beyonce. Beyonce be lacing people.
• 12:17
Speaker 3: Man, I'm telling you right now, there are people that
• 12:19
Speaker 3: have songs and the song will be really good. And
• 12:22
Speaker 3: then she sings a Verse on it, and all of
• 12:24
Speaker 3: a sudden, the song is a top five on the
• 12:26
Speaker 3: Billboard charts. Man, Like that Ed Sharon song was dope,
• 12:29
Speaker 3: and it was. It was already on the Billboard charts
• 12:32
Speaker 3: for a long time. And then she sang on it
• 12:34
Speaker 3: and it's and and it broke even more records thanks
• 12:36
  Speaker 3: to her.
• 12:36
  Speaker 1: Man.
• 12:37
Speaker 3: I met her once, you know, so did I, and
• 12:39
Speaker 3: you were like, good. I met her once, well, I
• 12:41
Speaker 3: met her several times. We're not together, Yeah, we were,
• 12:44
Speaker 3: and you were like, yo, that's Beyonce.
• 12:45
Speaker 5: I was like, that's not Beyonce.
• 12:47
Speaker 1: Are you talking about it? At the restaurant bar no
• 12:50
  Speaker 1: name in Hollywood?
• 12:51
Speaker 5: No, no, no Beyonce. Way before that, we went out
• 12:54
  Speaker 5: one night to.
• 12:55
Speaker 1: A poor Please respect my father and call her beonce.
• 12:58
Speaker 5: I don't, yes, Beyonce. We went out.
• 13:01
Speaker 1: We went something else.
• 13:04
Speaker 3: We went out to a Ferrari party or something like that.
• 13:08
Speaker 3: You me raiding and Carrie Brothers, and Beyonce was there
• 13:11
Speaker 3: with somebody. This is well before Jovah, well before all
• 13:14
Speaker 3: of that. This is early on in scrubb.
• 13:17
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 13:17
Speaker 3: Yeah, and uh I remember you guys being like, go
• 13:21
Speaker 3: say hi to her, and I was like, get the
• 13:22
Speaker 3: fuck out of here. That's Beyonce, dude. And this is
• 13:25
Speaker 3: before she even had the solo record or anything like that.
• 13:27
Speaker 3: She was still with Destiny's Child. And I was still like, Joe,
• 13:31
  Speaker 3: I can't.
• 13:31
Speaker 5: I'm you know what if I say hi and she says,
• 13:35
Speaker 5: get the fuck out of here. And so finally she
• 13:37
  Speaker 5: looked at me.
• 13:38
Speaker 1: Maybe she was single, Oh dude.
• 13:40
Speaker 3: Finally she looked at me and she goes hi and
• 13:42
Speaker 3: gives me the look like motherfuckers say hi, dude. Oh shit,
• 13:46
Speaker 3: we're the only black people at this party.
• 13:49
Speaker 1: That was the look. The look was where the only
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: black people?
• 13:52
Speaker 5: What are you doing? And I was like, oh shit,
• 13:56
Speaker 5: my bad, hey, how you doing?
• 13:59
  Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
• 14:01
Speaker 5: That's funny A long time ago, dude. So you just
• 14:04
Speaker 5: said hi, and I just said hi, and I walked
• 14:06
Speaker 5: and we walked away.
• 14:08
Speaker 3: Listen, man, I played myself to so many of these
• 14:10
Speaker 3: lovely ladies in Hollywood that I decided I will never
• 14:13
  Speaker 3: do that again.
• 14:14
Speaker 5: Like I played myself. You saw a heart, I went
• 14:17
  Speaker 5: after Casey.
• 14:19
Speaker 3: I've done things that are so stupid that I was like,
• 14:22
Speaker 3: what was I thinking When I look back at it?
• 14:24
Speaker 5: Now you know what I mean.
• 14:25
Speaker 1: You mean like you should have taken your shot.
• 14:27
Speaker 3: No, like I shouldn't have taken a shot at all. Oh,
• 14:30
Speaker 3: because I sounded like an idiot. I did take my show.
• 14:33
Speaker 1: We all have those flinch moments where you're like, oh,
• 14:35
Speaker 1: that was that was right. But I was in a
• 14:38
Speaker 1: restaurant bar called No Name that since closed, run by
• 14:42
Speaker 1: my friend Brian Ling on Fairfax in Hollywood, and it
• 14:46
Speaker 1: was like a cool restaurant bar, and upstairs on like
• 14:50
Speaker 1: a mezzanine, there was a private area where you could
• 14:53
Speaker 1: have a private dinner party or you could have a
• 14:54
Speaker 1: small cocktail party. And if you went past that room,
• 14:59
Speaker 1: there was a another room. So we were headed to
• 15:01
Speaker 1: that room, he and I and somebody else, and I
• 15:03
Speaker 1: cam up the stairs and I come around the corner
• 15:05
Speaker 1: and they are just seated alone at this private table
• 15:09
Speaker 1: was Beyonce and jay Z. And they looked up and
• 15:12
Speaker 1: they stared at me, and I stared back at them,
• 15:15
Speaker 1: and they had big smiles in their faces like saying hi.
• 15:18
Speaker 1: But I was like, I was in pol of shocked.
• 15:20
  Speaker 1: I really was.
• 15:20
Speaker 5: I froze, that's that's royalty, man. They got that. They
• 15:23
Speaker 5: got that glow man, they got that Bruce Leroy.
• 15:25
Speaker 1: But it was also like you come, you come around
• 15:27
Speaker 1: to bend and you're not expecting to see like there's
• 15:29
Speaker 1: no one else in the room. I mean, it was
• 15:30
Speaker 1: just Beyonce and jay Z having private dinner. And I
• 15:33
Speaker 1: was like and I just walked in like hi. Of course,
• 15:36
Speaker 1: I said, oh, I said, I'm so sorry interrupt high
• 15:39
Speaker 1: and they were like, hey, how are you? And I
• 15:40
Speaker 1: said I'm good. Uh you guys are awesome. I'm gonna,
• 15:45
Speaker 1: I'm gonna, I'm gonna keep moving.
• 15:47
  Speaker 2: You know.
• 15:47
Speaker 1: They were very sweet. They obviously smiled and laughed at
• 15:50
Speaker 1: me because I was like a nervous wreck.
• 15:52
Speaker 5: I played myself so many times with jay Z. It's ridiculous, like,
• 15:55
  Speaker 5: come on in.
• 15:56
Speaker 3: Like there's certain people on my list of people that
• 15:59
Speaker 3: I think are you know the shiz, and he's one
• 16:02
Speaker 3: of them. Him, Michael Jordan, you know, Denzel Washington, Harrison Ford,
• 16:07
Speaker 3: you know Billy D.
• 16:09
  Speaker 5: Billy D Williams.
• 16:10
Speaker 3: When it comes to athletes, I have a lot of
• 16:12
Speaker 3: athletes on my list, but I don't have a lot
• 16:14
Speaker 3: of rappers on my list where I see them and
• 16:16
Speaker 3: I'm like, holy shit.
• 16:17
Speaker 5: I used to be like that, but then I grew
• 16:19
Speaker 5: out of that face.
• 16:19
Speaker 1: If there's one athlete you could meet and not just me,
• 16:22
Speaker 1: If there's one athlete that would be like, Donald, let's
• 16:24
Speaker 1: go get a drink. I want to get to know
• 16:25
  Speaker 1: you better.
• 16:26
Speaker 3: Who would it be, oh Man, Well, he's no longer
• 16:29
Speaker 3: with us, But that's Kobe Bryant. That's an easy one.
• 16:32
Speaker 3: I met Michael Jordan once and that was cool, and
• 16:34
Speaker 3: I met Kobe several times. But there was something special
• 16:37
Speaker 3: about Kobe Bryant that was like, you know, I mean,
• 16:41
Speaker 3: and Michael Jordan too. But you know, when I first
• 16:45
Speaker 3: moved out to La, Kobe Bryant was just getting you know,
• 16:50
Speaker 3: he just arrived and I got to meet him way
• 16:53
Speaker 3: before he played basketball and.
• 16:55
Speaker 1: Stuff and what even before he played basketball.
• 16:58
Speaker 3: So La is a small town, react like it's a
• 17:01
Speaker 3: huge Hollywood is huge and stuff like that. But you
• 17:03
Speaker 3: run into people in La. And one of my friends
• 17:08
Speaker 3: was not dating Shaea Brian, but was hanging out with
• 17:11
  Speaker 3: Shya Brian.
• 17:12
Speaker 5: And so Shaea would come over to my apartment like
• 17:15
  Speaker 5: all the.
• 17:15
Speaker 3: Time, and we would you know, hang out and you know,
• 17:17
Speaker 3: go to the movies or go to Magic Mountain stuff
• 17:21
Speaker 3: like that. And one day she comes over. We're going
• 17:23
Speaker 3: to Magic Mountain and she comes over and she's like, Yo,
• 17:26
  Speaker 3: my brother's outside.
• 17:27
Speaker 5: He wants to talk to you. And I was like,
• 17:28
Speaker 5: oh shit, why did your brother want to talk to me?
• 17:31
Speaker 1: But he wasn't famous yet, No, everybody kne who.
• 17:34
Speaker 5: Kobe Bryan was. At this point.
• 17:35
Speaker 3: He had taken Brandy to the prom, you know what
• 17:37
Speaker 3: I mean. And I'm like, oh man, oh wow, okay.
• 17:42
Speaker 3: So I go outside and he had broken his arm
• 17:46
Speaker 3: playing basketball at the beach at Venice Beach, at the
• 17:49
Speaker 3: court on Venice Beach, right, so he had the cast on.
• 17:52
Speaker 3: I remember when he broke his arm. I remember thinking,
• 17:55
Speaker 3: come on, man, you've got this contract coming up. What
• 17:57
Speaker 3: are you doing playing basketball at Venice Beach.
• 18:01
Speaker 5: That was what my thought was. When I saw him
• 18:03
Speaker 5: with the cast I was like, oh, ship, he got
• 18:05
Speaker 5: the cast on? Yo, Like it was.
• 18:09
Speaker 1: Because you heard about it?
• 18:10
Speaker 5: Yeah, I heard about it.
• 18:11
Speaker 1: But I was like, yo, yo, did you think he
• 18:16
Speaker 1: was gonna let you sign it?
• 18:17
  Speaker 4: No?
• 18:18
Speaker 5: No, no, but but I did.
• 18:19
Speaker 3: But I definitely thought. I was like, this dude's about
• 18:21
Speaker 3: to tell me, you know, I better respect his sister
• 18:24
Speaker 3: and all of that stuff. And there was nothing going
• 18:27
Speaker 3: on with me and his sister. So I go outside
• 18:29
Speaker 3: and he's like, hey, man, how you doing. I just
• 18:30
Speaker 3: wanted to meet you. You know you're going to Magic
• 18:33
Speaker 3: Mim with my sister. I just wanted to meet you
• 18:34
Speaker 3: to make sure you know that you was looking for
• 18:38
Speaker 3: for a sister, right.
• 18:40
  Speaker 1: That's cool story.
• 18:41
Speaker 3: Yeah, But I ran into him several times after that.
• 18:44
  Speaker 3: But I just when I first moved to l A,
• 18:46
Speaker 3: Kobe Bryant was in l A also.
• 18:50
  Speaker 1: It's so tragic.
• 18:51
  Speaker 5: I keep it's like, it's unbelievable. I just want you
• 18:55
Speaker 5: all to know, man, I loved Kobe Bryant like I
• 18:57
Speaker 5: loved Kobe Bryant. I named my kid Kobe.
• 19:00
Speaker 1: I know, I know, and just you know, God, I
• 19:03
Speaker 1: see the love. There's all these amazing murals all over town.
• 19:05
Speaker 1: I'm sure you've seen him. Yeah, he was one of
• 19:08
Speaker 1: the most beloved people in the country, probably the world,
• 19:11
Speaker 1: maybe world. So we switched tones the end of the episode.
• 19:15
Speaker 3: Let's do it, we You know, this is an episode
• 19:18
Speaker 3: with It was directed by Mark Bucklin, written by Mark Stegman.
• 19:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, two Marks, two Marks, uh my blind date.
• 19:27
Speaker 5: Yes. Mark Stegman is a great writer, great friend.
• 19:31
Speaker 1: Yeah, guy, I believe you went to write on Community
• 19:34
Speaker 1: after US and some other shows and Mark Bucklin. I
• 19:39
Speaker 1: really think Mark Bucklin, I'm going to say it now
• 19:41
Speaker 1: in nine years one of by far one of our
• 19:44
  Speaker 1: top directors.
• 19:45
Speaker 5: Yeah, well that's easy.
• 19:47
Speaker 1: This episode is is not to not to say as
• 19:50
Speaker 1: a director, but as a director, this episode is incredibly directed.
• 19:54
Speaker 5: Well well well directed that it really makes up. I
• 19:57
Speaker 5: know we're going to get to it.
• 19:58
Speaker 1: But yeah, that's a really cool woner for those of
• 20:01
Speaker 1: you who don't know what a wonner is, it's when
• 20:03
Speaker 1: the camera never cuts so there's no edit. It's a
• 20:05
Speaker 1: long one shot that moves around and involves lots of choreography,
• 20:09
Speaker 1: and it often takes a lot of times to get
• 20:11
Speaker 1: it right, and it's just done really well.
• 20:16
Speaker 5: But this episode is amazing.
• 20:18
Speaker 1: I really want to say. You know, the thing about
• 20:19
Speaker 1: TV directing is these guys and gals who do this.
• 20:22
Speaker 1: You come in, you have to execute your vision, but
• 20:27
Speaker 1: in the tone of the style that's been established by
• 20:31
Speaker 1: the showrunner and by whoever directed the pilot. In this case,
• 20:34
Speaker 1: Adam Bernstein, the showrunner and the pilot director was sort
• 20:37
Speaker 1: of set. This is the look of this show. It
• 20:40
Speaker 1: has this vibe. The camera can move like this. This
• 20:43
Speaker 1: this is the sort of tools you can use, and
• 20:45
Speaker 1: that now you go do it. So for a director
• 20:47
Speaker 1: to stand out, it's tricky. You got how you can
• 20:51
Speaker 1: put your own stamp on it, because otherwise it's just
• 20:53
Speaker 1: kind of like, Okay, I'm here to execute someone else's
• 20:56
Speaker 1: someone else's vision. But someone like Mark Bucklin, with his
• 21:00
Speaker 1: level of talent, really does stand out. I was watching
• 21:02
Speaker 1: this before I even knew that it was Mark. I
• 21:05
Speaker 1: was watching going, Oh, someone good directed this. I can
• 21:07
Speaker 1: tell already. There's just a he finds a way to
• 21:10
Speaker 1: put his own stamp on it, and I looked it
• 21:13
Speaker 1: up because I haven't seen Mark years. Also a really
• 21:15
Speaker 1: good card magician, if you remember that, Donald Yeah.
• 21:18
Speaker 5: Also a very great ping pong player.
• 21:20
Speaker 1: Yeah, I remember that. But during downtime he would do
• 21:22
Speaker 1: these insane card tricks. He was one of those guys.
• 21:24
Speaker 1: He's he's doing a show called He produces and directs
• 21:26
Speaker 1: a show called Stumptown with great show. Do you watch it?
• 21:29
Speaker 5: It's on the ABC lineup with the new ABC lineup.
• 21:33
Speaker 1: Kobe Kobe smolders, Yeah, yeah.
• 21:36
Speaker 3: As you know, I do a television show for ABC
• 21:40
  Speaker 3: called Emergence.
• 21:41
Speaker 1: Emergence, Yes, And when are we finding out if we're
• 21:43
Speaker 1: getting a season two?
• 21:44
Speaker 5: We have no idea.
• 21:45
Speaker 3: I don't even know if Stumptown knows if they're getting
• 21:47
Speaker 3: a season two yet or if or and if they do,
• 21:50
Speaker 3: then probably we didn't get it.
• 21:52
Speaker 1: But all I know when, when when does ABC tell
• 21:56
  Speaker 1: you that?
• 21:57
Speaker 5: I tell you things are different right now, man, life
• 21:59
Speaker 5: is right now. Nothing is the same. I'm supposed to
• 22:02
  Speaker 5: find out.
• 22:03
Speaker 3: We were supposed to find like Upfronts is the fourteenth
• 22:05
Speaker 3: or something like that, so we should be finding out soon.
• 22:08
Speaker 1: But I don't know will you be doling out drunken
• 22:10
Speaker 1: noogies at this year's upfronts.
• 22:12
Speaker 5: I've learned my lesson. I did.
• 22:14
Speaker 3: I Yo, you know what, last year, I did crash
• 22:15
Speaker 3: the NBC Upfront. I did crash that and that was
• 22:18
Speaker 3: a lot of fun to do anyway.
• 22:22
Speaker 1: Mark Bucklin also, just to finish my Mark Bucklin research,
• 22:25
Speaker 1: won an Emmy for directing the pilot of My Name
• 22:28
Speaker 1: is Earl oh Nice. Yeah. So he's a very talented fellow,
• 22:31
Speaker 1: very very very tin and I just wanted to say
• 22:33
Speaker 1: that that I really notice how good he is. So
• 22:37
Speaker 1: this episode has a lot of good stuff in it. Man,
• 22:40
Speaker 1: this is a good one.
• 22:41
Speaker 3: Mm hmm, this one's a great one. I laughed aloud.
• 22:43
Speaker 3: I laughed out loud. None none harder than Kelso. When
• 22:47
Speaker 3: Kelso go she goes doctor Kelso, I'm not going to
• 22:50
Speaker 3: sue the hospital, and he goes oh and then just
• 22:53
  Speaker 3: walks out.
• 22:54
Speaker 1: He just leaves. Elizabeth Bogush was a guest star. Didn't
• 22:59
Speaker 1: arc really talented gal and she this was JD's first.
• 23:05
Speaker 5: First love interest. Yeah, yeah, I was gonna say that.
• 23:07
Speaker 1: And I was just going through the rest of season one.
• 23:09
Speaker 1: I think she's the only I could be wrong, so
• 23:12
Speaker 1: sorry if you know better than I do, but she's
• 23:13
Speaker 1: the only love interest before Sarah and I start a relationship. Really, really, Joel,
• 23:20
Speaker 1: isn't that what happens? Uh?
• 23:22
  Speaker 5: I'm not aware. I haven't gone forward.
• 23:24
Speaker 1: What Joel might know or she can look it up.
• 23:26
Speaker 1: But I think what happens is there's three episodes with
• 23:29
Speaker 1: Liz Bogish and then uh, and then Elliott and I
• 23:33
Speaker 1: start our our thing. I think that's what. Okay, good see,
• 23:37
Speaker 1: I was right, Donald. I did my research. I did
• 23:39
Speaker 1: a lot of research for this episode. I I want
• 23:42
Speaker 1: the fans to know I did. I got trivia? Do
• 23:45
Speaker 1: you want to know the trivia?
• 23:46
  Speaker 2: Right?
• 23:46
Speaker 1: To start off? The right? Off the bat?
• 23:47
Speaker 5: It's a good one, go for yours.
• 23:49
Speaker 1: So so, so Cox is trying to get his perfect game?
• 23:53
Speaker 5: All right, I gotta ask you a question before you
• 23:55
Speaker 5: do the trivia? Then? Did you know what the perfect
• 23:57
Speaker 5: game was before we started doing it? Before the show?
• 24:00
Speaker 1: I know what a perfect picture game is. Yeah, I
• 24:02
Speaker 1: know it's happened. My brother's My brother is a baseball fanatic.
• 24:05
Speaker 1: My father was a baseball fanatic, so I know some things.
• 24:08
Speaker 5: So and you don't talk to the picture.
• 24:10
Speaker 1: Well, now that I didn't know, and I wanted to
• 24:11
Speaker 1: talk to you about that, because first of all, how
• 24:13
Speaker 1: the fuck does JD know that? I mean, JD doesn't
• 24:15
Speaker 1: know anything about sports. We hammer home in every episode,
• 24:17
Speaker 1: and all of a sudden, JD's whispering like you know
• 24:20
Speaker 1: stuff about never you know that you don't talk to
• 24:23
Speaker 1: the picture during a game, So tell me about this
• 24:25
  Speaker 1: real quick.
• 24:26
Speaker 5: This is a thing.
• 24:27
Speaker 1: If the pictures doing really well in a game, you
• 24:29
Speaker 1: don't talk to him like in the in the in
• 24:30
  Speaker 1: the dugout.
• 24:31
Speaker 5: Them, Yeah, you don't. You leave him alone. You don't
• 24:34
Speaker 5: say anything to him and let him.
• 24:35
Speaker 1: You don't even give him a butt tap.
• 24:38
Speaker 5: No, you don't say. Look, you don't want to be
• 24:40
Speaker 5: the reason that his rhythm all of a sudden falls off.
• 24:42
Speaker 1: Well what if I'm throwing a perfect game and I'm like,
• 24:44
Speaker 1: holy shit in my head, I'm like I'm fucking killing this.
• 24:47
Speaker 1: And then I go into the dugout and I get
• 24:48
Speaker 1: no butt taps and I'm like, oh, why are they
• 24:51
Speaker 1: tapping my butt? And then I start and then I
• 24:53
Speaker 1: start spiraling, no butt taps.
• 24:56
Speaker 3: I'm gonna fuck it up now and then, and it'd
• 24:59
Speaker 3: be your fault that you fucked it up, not their fault,
• 25:01
Speaker 3: because so they ignore they tap you on the button,
• 25:04
Speaker 3: you'll and then you don't have a perfect game.
• 25:06
Speaker 5: You could be like, motherfucker, why.
• 25:07
Speaker 1: Do you tap me on the bice So, so that's
• 25:10
Speaker 1: the thing. You just ce him. You don't talk to him.
• 25:13
Speaker 5: You let that person do what they gotta do to
• 25:15
  Speaker 5: get that.
• 25:16
  Speaker 1: See that, I didn't know that. I didn't know, And
• 25:18
Speaker 1: I find it hilarious that JD did know.
• 25:20
  Speaker 5: Because it's hilarious.
• 25:22
Speaker 1: Why did even Joel wrote that down in her note,
• 25:24
Speaker 1: She's like, how the hell does JD know all this
• 25:26
Speaker 1: stuff about? All right, here's a little trivia for you.
• 25:30
Speaker 5: Ready, Okay, let's do it.
• 25:31
Speaker 1: There's twenty seven patients that in the ICU that doctor
• 25:36
Speaker 1: Cox is trying to keep alive through midnight. Do you
• 25:39
Speaker 1: know why twenty seven?
• 25:42
  Speaker 5: I don't.
• 25:42
Speaker 1: There's twenty seven outs in nine innings.
• 25:47
Speaker 3: Holy shit, Mark, ladies and gentlemen, slow clap, slow clap,
• 25:52
Speaker 3: clap for Zach Braff.
• 25:54
  Speaker 1: Why I didn't? It's not my trivia. I got enough
• 25:56
Speaker 1: scrubs wiki, but but don know I don't know if
• 26:00
Speaker 1: Mark Stegman gets that.
• 26:02
Speaker 5: But way to go, JD, Way to go, Zach.
• 26:09
  Speaker 1: I didn't.
• 26:10
  Speaker 5: I didn't.
• 26:10
  Speaker 1: I didn't figure that out. I read that, So don't
• 26:12
Speaker 1: be too proud of me. I don't even know if
• 26:15
Speaker 1: that's what we give Mark Stegman credit for that. Let's
• 26:17
Speaker 1: ask Bill. That's a good Bill question. Bill, you're not
• 26:19
Speaker 1: gonna remember and he's Bill's gonna be like it was me,
• 26:21
Speaker 1: that was me. No, but Bill, it's very clever that
• 26:24
Speaker 1: there's twenty seven patients and there's twenty seven ounce in
• 26:26
Speaker 1: nine innings. Who came up with that?
• 26:28
Speaker 7: Twenty seven outs in a ball game to save in
• 26:30
Speaker 7: twenty seven patients came around because the episode started with
• 26:35
Speaker 7: doctor Cox wanting to have a perfect game, you know,
• 26:37
Speaker 7: and a perfect game in baseball, Zach, which is a sport,
• 26:41
Speaker 7: is not only does no one get a hit, but
• 26:45
Speaker 7: nobody even gets a walk or gets on base with
• 26:48
Speaker 7: an air So it's not just a no hitter, it's
• 26:50
Speaker 7: a perfect game. You only face twenty seven batters.
• 26:54
Speaker 5: That's it, all right? So Death's back, played by the
• 26:58
  Speaker 5: wonderful Randa Winston.
• 27:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, Death is back by Randall Winston. Now I don't
• 27:02
Speaker 1: mean to take a dig at Randall, but.
• 27:05
Speaker 5: Listen, man, I love Randold of Death, but with all
• 27:09
Speaker 5: my heart, now, don't.
• 27:09
Speaker 1: I don't think if Randall was auditioning he would have
• 27:11
Speaker 1: gotten this role because death isn't the best you guys.
• 27:17
Speaker 1: I love Randal to death, but if if SAG actors
• 27:22
Speaker 1: had auditioned for this part, we probably could have gotten
• 27:24
Speaker 1: a better fucking performance.
• 27:26
Speaker 5: Oh that's horrible that you say that, dude.
• 27:28
  Speaker 1: No, I'm sorry.
• 27:29
Speaker 5: But for those of you who.
• 27:30
Speaker 3: Don't know, Randall Winston is uh the line producer on
• 27:34
Speaker 3: Scrub was the line producer at the time on Scrubs.
• 27:37
Speaker 3: He's since gone on to be an executive producer on Killing.
• 27:42
  Speaker 3: He directs now.
• 27:43
  Speaker 5: He's very He's a very very.
• 27:46
Speaker 3: Established UH producer slash director in on television right now. Also,
• 27:53
Speaker 3: he married my wife and I in uh Zach's backyard.
• 27:56
  Speaker 2: He was the.
• 27:59
Speaker 1: I forgot you were married by death?
• 28:00
Speaker 3: Yeah, married by death in your backyard. Randa Winston is
• 28:05
Speaker 3: one of my all time favorite people.
• 28:08
Speaker 5: So don't you death. It's like it's like Joel and Beyonce.
• 28:11
Speaker 5: Don't do death. Say I'm bad you.
• 28:13
Speaker 1: Made a face like Joelle made. Listen, I just want
• 28:17
Speaker 1: to say I love the guy to death. He's an
• 28:19
Speaker 1: extremely talented producer. I don't know that acting is necessarily
• 28:23
Speaker 1: his forte but boy, but listen, uh, Death talks to
• 28:29
Speaker 1: his daughter. I don't know that any in any art
• 28:31
Speaker 1: form I've ever seen Death's daughter, But there she is.
• 28:36
Speaker 1: She's in a girl scout outfit, trying to sell her
• 28:39
  Speaker 1: her cookies.
• 28:40
  Speaker 3: Right, well, that's why Death's occupied. He's selling cookies. It's
• 28:43
Speaker 3: pretty funny to try to help doctor Cox out.
• 28:46
Speaker 1: He's a Death says something like she's in second place,
• 28:49
Speaker 1: and if the first place girl keeps winning.
• 28:52
Speaker 5: We're just gonna take her take.
• 28:59
Speaker 1: In the ICU, where there's a lot of the scene
• 29:01
Speaker 1: takes place, there's a lot of amazing camera work. At
• 29:03
Speaker 1: one sixteen, there's a cool three sixty pan. It's always
• 29:07
Speaker 1: challenging for the cinematographer and filmmakers to light when there's
• 29:11
Speaker 1: no place to put the lights and when the camera
• 29:14
Speaker 1: is steady camming. For those of who don't know what
• 29:16
  Speaker 1: that is, it's I think we've mentioned it before. It's
• 29:18
Speaker 1: it's this rig that mounts on a steady cam operator's
• 29:21
Speaker 1: body and it allows him or her to move around
• 29:24
Speaker 1: and it gives it and they can run and do
• 29:26
Speaker 1: all these cool shots and the camera always looks like
• 29:28
Speaker 1: it's floating. A lot of Scrubs was shot on a
• 29:30
Speaker 1: steadycam because of all the quick walking and running around,
• 29:34
Speaker 1: and sorry to digress, our steady cam operator has a
• 29:39
Speaker 1: cameo in this episode. Did you recognize Charles Pappard Don.
• 29:42
Speaker 5: Where was peppert At?
• 29:43
  Speaker 4: Oh?
• 29:43
Speaker 5: Yeah, he was the guy on the MRI.
• 29:45
Speaker 1: He's the MRI tag when the MRI goes awry and
• 29:49
Speaker 1: you see a guy freaking out by the way, speaking
• 29:51
Speaker 1: of people who aren't actors giving a decent performance, I
• 29:53
Speaker 1: thought Charles did a wonderful job.
• 29:55
Speaker 3: Yeah, you know Charles Pappard. Every time I run into
• 29:58
Speaker 3: Charles Pappard, Yes, every time I run into him, he's like,
• 30:03
Speaker 3: He'll introduce me to the people on his in his
• 30:06
Speaker 3: camera crew, and he'll be like, tell him the song,
• 30:09
Speaker 3: and I'd be like, what, like, sing them the song?
• 30:12
Speaker 3: They I've told everybody about the song. I was like,
• 30:14
Speaker 3: are you fucking serious right now? He's like, sing them
• 30:17
  Speaker 3: the song.
• 30:17
  Speaker 1: It's the Transformer's melody. But I don't remember the words.
• 30:20
Speaker 5: You remember the words, Charles Pappard All balls and no shaft.
• 30:27
Speaker 1: All balls and no shaft. Yeah. I love that he's
• 30:35
Speaker 1: I like the show. I love that he's begging you
• 30:38
Speaker 1: to sing a song to his friends about how he's
• 30:40
Speaker 1: all balls and no shafts, all balls, no shaft.
• 30:43
Speaker 5: He begs me to. It's like he says to them,
• 30:46
Speaker 5: So Donald Faison's coming in the day. He has a
• 30:49
Speaker 5: special song about me.
• 30:50
Speaker 1: I want to say that what's funny about that song
• 30:52
Speaker 1: is that it's the Transformer's melody but and sung very
• 30:56
  Speaker 1: softly like a ballad. But it's it's but it's all
• 30:59
Speaker 1: balls and no chef. Anyway. Charles Pappert was our study
• 31:09
Speaker 1: cam operator and he uh plays the MRI I tech
• 31:13
Speaker 1: and I thought he did a wonderful job.
• 31:15
Speaker 3: Thought he does an amazing job in the episode. He
• 31:17
Speaker 3: also is amazing. He's an amazing steady cam and normal
• 31:20
Speaker 3: cam operator. I've worked with him several times since then.
• 31:23
Speaker 1: And maybe he's had some you know, a surgery to
• 31:26
  Speaker 1: adjust his lack.
• 31:27
Speaker 5: Of justice his situation.
• 31:30
Speaker 1: He uh, he didn't get like a shaft extender. Is
• 31:33
  Speaker 1: that a thing?
• 31:34
Speaker 5: I once asked Real j D about that. I was like, yo,
• 31:37
Speaker 5: so what is this about? This penis enlarging stuff? You
• 31:40
  Speaker 5: don't need that.
• 31:41
Speaker 1: Why the hell are you asking about that?
• 31:43
Speaker 5: Listen, man, everybody wants to be.
• 31:46
Speaker 1: Do you remember in the in the episode of Bahamas.
• 31:48
Speaker 1: Do you remember in the episode of Bahamas when I
• 31:50
Speaker 1: when I thought I saw an eel?
• 31:52
Speaker 5: Yeah, and it was my It was me.
• 31:54
  Speaker 2: I'll not know.
• 31:55
Speaker 1: We're gonna go and break while you guys think about
• 31:56
Speaker 1: Donald's eel and we're back speaking of your eel. My
• 32:08
Speaker 1: girlfriend's mom was facetiming me about this about our podcast
• 32:12
Speaker 1: because she listens, and she was like, I really like it,
• 32:14
Speaker 1: but you guys talk about your willies too much. And
• 32:20
Speaker 1: I as we began to talk about your eel, I
• 32:23
Speaker 1: I was hearing my girlfriend's mom talking, telling us that
• 32:26
Speaker 1: we talk about our willies too much. So sorry to
• 32:29
Speaker 1: the people of the United Kingdom. I don't like to
• 32:31
  Speaker 1: talking about.
• 32:32
Speaker 5: Really whoa I don't like talking about my Willie.
• 32:35
Speaker 1: Colonel doctor at two forty nine. I just got excited
• 32:38
Speaker 1: to see him. Snoop Dogg intern. A lot of the
• 32:41
Speaker 1: greats are in this episode.
• 32:43
Speaker 5: Yes, Lynn's in the episode. A lot of people.
• 32:47
Speaker 3: Yeah, Lynn, Deontay once again, Deontay Deontay worked a lot.
• 32:53
Speaker 1: Yeah, Well, Deontay was deare we do? So what they would,
• 32:55
Speaker 1: But what they would do is sometimes when they needed
• 32:58
Speaker 1: more background performers than they they would ask the stand
• 33:01
Speaker 1: ins to to put on a costume and and join
• 33:04
Speaker 1: the scene. I think that's what happens.
• 33:05
Speaker 3: Well, yeah, not just that. Also the stand ins are
• 33:08
Speaker 3: you know, they're all good actors on their own, you
• 33:11
Speaker 3: know what I mean. You give Deontay a line, he
• 33:13
  Speaker 3: he'll deliver it.
• 33:13
Speaker 1: Well, not everyone, but Deontay was someone who was a
• 33:16
Speaker 1: good actor, right, and so, but my point is is
• 33:19
Speaker 1: that I think usually the stand ins weren't dressed in costume.
• 33:23
Speaker 1: So often when you see them, my brain goes, oh,
• 33:27
Speaker 1: they wanted a couple more bodies, so they asked them
• 33:29
  Speaker 1: to suit.
• 33:29
Speaker 5: Up, right. But they're always prominently featured if you notice.
• 33:33
Speaker 1: Well, of course, because they're not. They're not. Dante's not
• 33:34
Speaker 1: fucking around. He knows where the camera is, right, he
• 33:36
Speaker 1: knows what he's doing.
• 33:37
Speaker 5: He knows what he's doing, the.
• 33:39
Speaker 1: Saying Deonta's first rodeo. He knows where that camera's going
• 33:41
Speaker 1: to be. He's like, He's like, if I'm gonna put
• 33:43
Speaker 1: on these scrubs, you're gonna see me right right, right?
• 33:46
Speaker 1: All right. So at four oh two, there's this long
• 33:50
Speaker 1: monologue Johnny se By the way, Johnny c is incredible
• 33:53
  Speaker 1: in this episode.
• 33:53
  Speaker 3: Crushes what I've learned that I you know, I didn't
• 33:57
Speaker 3: appreciate it when it was there, you know what I mean?
• 33:59
Speaker 3: There was so many lessons to be learned just from
• 34:01
Speaker 3: watching Johnny, just from watching Judy, just from watching Ken.
• 34:05
Speaker 3: And you know, you want to get the fuck out
• 34:06
Speaker 3: of there at a certain point in time, you know
• 34:08
Speaker 3: what I mean. And I look back at this stuff
• 34:10
Speaker 3: now and Johnny crushes set. He's very funny, you know.
• 34:14
Speaker 1: I I agree with you Donald watching even just watching
• 34:16
Speaker 1: the however many we've watched twelve At this point, I'm
• 34:19
Speaker 1: really taken by what a good actor Johnny McGinley is.
• 34:24
Speaker 1: He's just he's fantastic, and this episode really highlights so
• 34:28
Speaker 1: good he's And Sarah is wonderful in this episode.
• 34:30
Speaker 5: Oh it's amazing in it.
• 34:32
Speaker 1: Do you find it's weird? I always find it weird
• 34:35
Speaker 1: in a TV show when they reference another TV show?
• 34:38
Speaker 1: So here here we reference I referenced er, for of
• 34:41
Speaker 1: all things, another hospital TV show.
• 34:43
Speaker 5: I think we were trying to be funny.
• 34:45
Speaker 1: Uh no, I know, but I just think it. I
• 34:48
Speaker 1: always think it's weird when you when JD me playing
• 34:52
Speaker 1: a fake doctor on television then references another doctor show.
• 34:57
Speaker 1: I just think, I just pulls me out of the show.
• 34:59
  Speaker 1: It's I find it weird.
• 35:00
  Speaker 4: See.
• 35:00
Speaker 3: But the problem is is that in Er Anthony Edwards
• 35:04
Speaker 3: was still kind of he still kind of looked like uh,
• 35:09
Speaker 3: the character he played in Top Gun.
• 35:11
Speaker 5: You know what I mean?
• 35:11
Speaker 1: No, he didn't. He was more bookish and academic.
• 35:15
Speaker 5: Kind of sort of.
• 35:15
Speaker 1: But he's still good on Anthony Edwards Revenge of.
• 35:20
Speaker 5: The Nerds that you're like, holy shit, that's the dude
• 35:22
Speaker 5: from Revenge of the Nerds.
• 35:23
Speaker 1: Anthony Anthony Edwards has had such a career. Can we
• 35:28
Speaker 1: just talk about him for a second?
• 35:29
  Speaker 5: Get it?
• 35:29
Speaker 1: That is that is the right name, right, Anthony Edwards. Absolutely,
• 35:32
Speaker 1: what's the name of the black guy named Anthony Edwards?
• 35:35
Speaker 5: And you're thinking of Anthony Anderson more?
• 35:37
Speaker 1: Sorry? Sorry, sorry, they're very similar Anthony Edward. By the way,
• 35:45
Speaker 1: I love that you knew what I was talking about.
• 35:46
Speaker 1: That's how close we are, baby. Anthony Edwards has spanned
• 35:51
Speaker 1: Revenge of the Nerds to Top Gun, Yes, and then
• 35:55
Speaker 1: back to Er and and and I'm po zillion other things,
• 35:58
Speaker 1: I'm sure, but those are the things I most think
• 36:00
  Speaker 1: of him for.
• 36:01
Speaker 5: Yeah, he's got ranged.
• 36:03
Speaker 1: Now are we not allowed to like Revenge of the
• 36:04
Speaker 1: Nerds anymore? I know that it has a very problematic movie,
• 36:07
Speaker 1: but man, as a child, that was life changing for
• 36:09
Speaker 1: me in that movie. I went with a babysitter to
• 36:11
Speaker 1: see that movie in the theater and and oh, I
• 36:16
Speaker 1: think I was nineteen eighty four.
• 36:17
Speaker 5: I was probably did your babysitter get kicked out?
• 36:20
Speaker 1: Listen? I think it was I was nine. I think
• 36:22
Speaker 1: I can't believe I got to go see this movie
• 36:24
  Speaker 1: with a babysitter.
• 36:25
Speaker 5: Was your babysitter? Fire?
• 36:26
Speaker 1: Was it nineteen eighty four? Joel? Can you look that
• 36:28
Speaker 1: up please? I remember went to see and I had
• 36:30
Speaker 1: a crush on her, a nine year old crush. And
• 36:33
Speaker 1: then I see this movie that's obviously are and I
• 36:35
Speaker 1: can't believe I was seeing this. And then at the end,
• 36:39
Speaker 1: I was so riled up. I was so turned on,
• 36:42
Speaker 1: if you will, by the movie, and I thought, I, yes, thanks,
• 36:46
Speaker 1: she says nineteen eighty four. I in my mind, I
• 36:49
Speaker 1: thought like, oh, I'm going to try and impress my date.
• 36:53
Speaker 1: I just started thinking of her like she was my date.
• 36:55
Speaker 1: And we went into like a CVS type you know,
• 36:59
Speaker 1: pharmacy giant, you know, one of those big ones, and
• 37:02
Speaker 1: I forgot someone had my sister probably wanted to buy something.
• 37:05
Speaker 1: And I was like in an aisle and I was like,
• 37:08
Speaker 1: what can I what can I act like I want
• 37:10
Speaker 1: to buy that's gonna seem impressive to my baby? And
• 37:14
Speaker 1: we were in like I was like, I went in
• 37:16
Speaker 1: like the hardware aisle because that felt masculine and uh
• 37:20
Speaker 1: and uh. I saw this this battery, you remember, one
• 37:23
Speaker 1: of those big chunky batter not a car battery, but
• 37:25
Speaker 1: like for like a lantern. It was like this bit
• 37:27
Speaker 1: like you know, like like you know this a lantern
• 37:30
Speaker 1: battery basically, and I and I remember looking at it
• 37:33
Speaker 1: and then I saw my periphery. She was coming down
• 37:35
Speaker 1: the aisle and she's like, what are you doing in
• 37:37
Speaker 1: this aisle? And I was like, see this and I
• 37:40
Speaker 1: pointed to the battery and she goes, yeah, I go,
• 37:44
Speaker 1: this is what I want for my birthday. Because in
• 37:51
Speaker 1: my mind I thought she would be like, whoa.
• 37:54
Speaker 5: This kid, this kid is deserves to see my book.
• 37:59
Speaker 1: This kid is fucking manly. I know he's nine, but
• 38:03
  Speaker 1: if he's into battery, he's like this big I I
• 38:15
Speaker 1: really thought. I remember this many years later. I remember thinking, like,
• 38:20
Speaker 1: just act like you want this fucking battery. But that's
• 38:25
Speaker 1: what That's what the nerds did to me. All right,
• 38:30
Speaker 1: let's move on the French five fight. Talk about this, John,
• 38:32
Speaker 1: Because you're married, you probably have this fight with your wife.
• 38:34
Speaker 3: I believe in this fight, and I believe in Turk
• 38:37
Speaker 3: side of this fight too. And you know, at the
• 38:39
Speaker 3: end of the show it goes someplace different. But absolutely,
• 38:42
Speaker 3: if I if we go to get burgers at McDonald's
• 38:46
Speaker 3: and I get a combo meal and I ask you
• 38:49
Speaker 3: what you want and you say, I'll just have a burger.
• 38:53
Speaker 5: You're not eating my fries. Goddamn it, right, those are
• 38:56
  Speaker 5: my fries.
• 38:57
Speaker 1: Does this happen all the time? It sounds like you
• 38:58
Speaker 1: got riled up just now.
• 38:59
  Speaker 5: It's this.
• 39:00
Speaker 1: Does this happen in your home?
• 39:01
Speaker 5: I got riled up because of this dude that was
• 39:04
Speaker 5: teaching me how to ride the bike today. Oh yeah, you've.
• 39:10
Speaker 1: Taken on his persona. You are you are as an actor,
• 39:12
Speaker 1: you were like a sponge and you've taken on his persona.
• 39:16
Speaker 3: I am, I am, I am the bike riding instructor
• 39:20
Speaker 3: from this Do you remember do you remember his name?
• 39:23
  Speaker 4: No?
• 39:23
Speaker 5: I don't remember his name. God Devin, I'm just him
• 39:25
  Speaker 5: right now.
• 39:26
Speaker 1: Okay, calm down, calm down. He's probably how anyway, smoothie
• 39:29
Speaker 1: on a on a couch right now, and you're.
• 39:31
Speaker 5: Some drinking orange gourgu.
• 39:33
Speaker 1: He's probably probably in a steam room with other dudes.
• 39:37
  Speaker 5: Anyway.
• 39:38
Speaker 3: But no, this is sincere, and this happens all the time,
• 39:41
Speaker 3: and I I used to hate this when but then
• 39:44
Speaker 3: this is also when I knew, Holy cow, I love
• 39:47
Speaker 3: my wife. We would go and get food from someplace
• 39:50
Speaker 3: like Astro Burger or McDonald's or something like something quick
• 39:55
Speaker 3: and fast and greasy and everything after a night out
• 39:57
Speaker 3: of partying in the club, and I be like, do
• 40:00
Speaker 3: you want anything? And She'll be like, no, I'm not
• 40:02
Speaker 3: really that hungry. In my mind, I knew exactly what
• 40:06
Speaker 3: that meant. That meant she's gonna eat my shit.
• 40:08
Speaker 1: Right, So would you order extra fur?
• 40:11
  Speaker 2: No?
• 40:12
Speaker 5: Well, at first you.
• 40:12
Speaker 3: Don't realize that, and then when it when it gets
• 40:15
Speaker 3: to where Turk and Carla are, it's when you start
• 40:18
Speaker 3: testing it and you're like, I'm gonna test and see
• 40:20
Speaker 3: if When I say do you want anything? And she
• 40:23
Speaker 3: says no, I'm good. I bet you she's gonna grab
• 40:26
  Speaker 3: my fries. Watch that's what's gonna it's gonna happen. It's
• 40:28
Speaker 3: gonna happen. And when it happened, you're like I knew it,
• 40:31
Speaker 3: and you and you and you explode. And that's what
• 40:34
Speaker 3: happened with Turk. Turk was online with Carla at the
• 40:38
Speaker 3: cafeteria and he's getting all of his food and she's
• 40:42
Speaker 3: looking at him, and in his mind, he's like, she's
• 40:44
Speaker 3: gonna want this stuff.
• 40:45
Speaker 5: She's gonna want it.
• 40:46
Speaker 1: It does feel like an example of not sweating the
• 40:48
Speaker 1: small stuff, though, doesn't it.
• 40:50
Speaker 5: But that's not the small stuff. Come on, man, that's
• 40:52
Speaker 5: not that's not the small stuff.
• 40:55
Speaker 1: Harley Pasternak, who we both know very fascy celebrity trainer,
• 40:59
Speaker 1: he told me that I think it was him who
• 41:01
Speaker 1: told me that French fries is the worst thing you
• 41:04
Speaker 1: can put in your body.
• 41:06
Speaker 5: He once told me pizza was the worst thing you
• 41:08
Speaker 5: could put in your body. So I don't know. I
• 41:10
Speaker 5: think that was him just trying to get you to
• 41:11
Speaker 5: stop eating French fries.
• 41:12
Speaker 1: And he also told me that something I'll never forget
• 41:14
Speaker 1: that he calls a banana a sugar stick. He's like,
• 41:19
Speaker 1: you might as well have a candy bar. Banana is
• 41:21
Speaker 1: just sugar. Really, Yeah, I love a banana Harley. Celebrity
• 41:28
Speaker 1: trainer Harley Pasternak ruined bananas for me. I still leep bananas.
• 41:31
Speaker 1: I like them in my smoothie. But he told me
• 41:34
Speaker 1: that they have even though it's natural sugar, it's filled
• 41:36
Speaker 1: with sugar. But he also said French fries are the
• 41:38
Speaker 1: worst thing you can put in your body because it's
• 41:40
  Speaker 1: just saturated fat.
• 41:41
Speaker 5: Yeah, but he also told me pizza was the worst
• 41:43
Speaker 5: thing you could put in your body.
• 41:44
Speaker 1: He got you in good shape once, and you played
• 41:45
Speaker 1: basketball with Yeasy? Right?
• 41:48
Speaker 5: I have played basketball with con Yeezy.
• 41:50
Speaker 1: Yeah. Was it at Harley's house?
• 41:52
Speaker 5: I gave Yeasy and common to business. They know what's up.
• 41:55
  Speaker 5: They know what's up. Don't act like y'all don't know.
• 41:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm sure Yeezy's listening. Listen. Did you play it?
• 42:00
Speaker 1: Did you play it?
• 42:02
  Speaker 4: Right?
• 42:02
Speaker 5: He's somewhere in Wyoming?
• 42:04
Speaker 1: Do you Did you play it at Harley's house? Did
• 42:07
Speaker 1: you play at Harley's house?
• 42:09
Speaker 3: I know we would go and play at like a gym.
• 42:12
Speaker 3: We would go to a gym. He would run out
• 42:14
Speaker 3: of gym and meet him.
• 42:16
Speaker 1: That's the only time I ever when I was working
• 42:18
Speaker 1: out with Harley. That's the only time I ever met Kanye.
• 42:20
Speaker 1: It was before he became, you know, enormous.
• 42:22
Speaker 5: He was still huge. Kanye has been Kanye No.
• 42:24
  Speaker 1: I know, but I didn't. He wasn't the household name
• 42:26
  Speaker 1: at this time.
• 42:27
Speaker 5: Yeah, he was making that music since back in the y.
• 42:30
Speaker 1: And I used to get on the treadmill next to
• 42:32
Speaker 1: Rick Fox Donald, Who's.
• 42:34
Speaker 5: I played basketball with Rick Fox before too?
• 42:37
  Speaker 1: Really?
• 42:37
Speaker 5: Yeah, I played basketball with a lot of people.
• 42:39
Speaker 1: I know you're fancy, all right. Listen, A drunk clown
• 42:43
Speaker 1: hurt me once, laughed.
• 42:44
Speaker 5: Out, laughed out loud, laughed out loud.
• 42:46
Speaker 1: I don't know if I made that up or not.
• 42:48
Speaker 1: I would like to take credit for it.
• 42:49
Speaker 5: Okay, let's ask Bill.
• 42:51
Speaker 1: Bill's not gonna remember, and if so, he's definitely not
• 42:53
Speaker 1: gonna give me credit. But Joel, please ask him who
• 42:56
Speaker 1: made up a drunk clown hurt me once? And make
• 42:57
Speaker 1: sure to put in parentheses. Zach believes it might be his.
• 43:02
Speaker 1: He's gonna come back with the sassiest answer.
• 43:04
Speaker 5: And here it is a.
• 43:05
Speaker 7: Drunk clown hurt Me once was Zach Braff improv. He
• 43:09
Speaker 7: came up with that, and I remember watching it happen
• 43:12
Speaker 7: and I remember taking credit for it afterwards.
• 43:14
Speaker 1: Thank you Bill. Well, we haven't heard Bill's answer, but
• 43:17
Speaker 1: I'm just gonna say thank you Bill. I agree, No,
• 43:21
  Speaker 1: thank you Bill.
• 43:23
  Speaker 5: I don't know that you're going to agree with I
• 43:25
  Speaker 5: might not agree.
• 43:25
Speaker 1: I might not agree. A drunk clown hurt me once
• 43:28
Speaker 1: is very funny. I gotta say I left out loud
• 43:30
Speaker 1: about that because God knows what that story is.
• 43:34
Speaker 5: And how you found out the clown was drunk is love.
• 43:37
Speaker 1: I love these JD things that never get explored, like
• 43:40
Speaker 1: these long you know, there's times like there's this random
• 43:43
Speaker 1: sentences that you know we could have gone into a fantasy,
• 43:45
Speaker 1: but we never do.
• 43:46
Speaker 5: I love those rare moments like yeah, like I got
• 43:49
Speaker 5: treated by a Kayu.
• 43:53
Speaker 1: That is probably my favorite episode and you know why
• 43:56
Speaker 1: because you directed it. It's the first one I directed.
• 43:58
Speaker 1: But also not just saying because I directed it. That
• 44:01
Speaker 1: is a fucking epic great episode.
• 44:03
Speaker 5: Oh that's a great episode. Do you know what season
• 44:05
  Speaker 5: that is?
• 44:05
  Speaker 4: Oh?
• 44:06
Speaker 1: My god, that episode shows up.
• 44:09
Speaker 5: I know what it happens.
• 44:10
Speaker 1: I got Joe, will you please look up for me
• 44:12
Speaker 1: what episode that is. It's the first one I directed.
• 44:14
Speaker 1: I don't even have no idea what it's called. Heather
• 44:16
Speaker 1: grams in it. But Donald I got treed by Kayo.
• 44:20
  Speaker 5: Yeah, that one.
• 44:21
Speaker 3: And then I'm starting to see why, uh what did
• 44:24
Speaker 3: he say his name was? I'm starting to see why
• 44:27
Speaker 3: leon Il foxed you.
• 44:29
  Speaker 1: I don't remember that.
• 44:31
Speaker 5: Jason Bateman, I like to make I like to make
• 44:33
Speaker 5: belts out of it.
• 44:34
Speaker 1: Oh and Jason Bateman says, I like to make belts
• 44:36
Speaker 1: out of their necks. I mean, how stoned were they
• 44:39
Speaker 1: must have been in the writer's room when they came
• 44:41
Speaker 1: up with an idea that the ostriches are are are sentries?
• 44:46
  Speaker 4: Right?
• 44:46
  Speaker 5: Yeah?
• 44:47
  Speaker 4: Right?
• 44:47
Speaker 1: No there So in Jason Bateman's character's home, he has ostriches,
• 44:51
Speaker 1: but they they not only work as guards, but they
• 44:55
Speaker 1: stole your kango right and.
• 44:57
Speaker 5: Put it on right. Oh that's leon very funny episode.
• 45:04
Speaker 1: All right, we're back to this one.
• 45:06
Speaker 5: Michael McDonald is back.
• 45:07
  Speaker 1: Michael McDonald's back.
• 45:09
Speaker 5: That was right away. He was just on we should
• 45:12
  Speaker 5: have him one.
• 45:13
Speaker 1: And he's paying the same guy. I think, Joelle, you
• 45:15
Speaker 1: may have thought he was playing multiple characters.
• 45:18
Speaker 5: He's always definitely playing the same guy.
• 45:20
  Speaker 1: He plays a hypochondriac who's always I.
• 45:22
Speaker 8: Believe, unless the fanily he's wrong he plays different characters in.
• 45:27
  Speaker 5: A later season.
• 45:28
Speaker 1: Okay, well, we don't know. Maybe the fans will tell
• 45:31
Speaker 1: us on the social media's but I believe that he's
• 45:34
Speaker 1: always playing a hypochondriac. The episode, thank you Joelle for
• 45:37
Speaker 1: finding this that Donald and I were talking about, was
• 45:39
Speaker 1: is season four, episode eight, My Last Chance. It's probably
• 45:44
Speaker 1: my favorite episode of the whole one of my top
• 45:47
Speaker 1: three of the whole run. Granted it was my first
• 45:49
Speaker 1: time directing and that was special. But also Bill, because
• 45:52
Speaker 1: he's so fucking competitive, decided to write an episode that
• 45:55
Speaker 1: should have been shot in like ten days, and because
• 45:59
Speaker 1: it was epic, we called it Scrubs the movie. If
• 46:01
Speaker 1: you recall, it's the one where Donald and I have
• 46:04
Speaker 1: a permission slip from Elliott that allows JD to sleep
• 46:07
Speaker 1: with Heather Graham's character and we go on an epic
• 46:10
Speaker 1: night long quest to find Molly to give her the
• 46:13
  Speaker 1: permission slip.
• 46:15
Speaker 3: I have a question for you when you were making
• 46:17
Speaker 3: this episode, did you realize when you were making it
• 46:20
Speaker 3: how big of an episode it was?
• 46:23
Speaker 5: For you to have to execute.
• 46:25
  Speaker 1: Yes, I knew I knew it. Bill. Bill's a big
• 46:28
Speaker 1: brother to us both, and it's always been competitive with me,
• 46:31
Speaker 1: like we don't play sports. So the competition came in
• 46:34
Speaker 1: like in other ways. So it came in like, okay,
• 46:36
Speaker 1: it was after garden State and he's like, garden State
• 46:38
Speaker 1: was a success, and he's like, okay, you can direct.
• 46:41
Speaker 1: Here's the script. And it was like the most epic
• 46:44
Speaker 1: impossible thing. You know. We shot an episode of Scrubs
• 46:47
Speaker 1: traditionally in five days and you had to write them,
• 46:50
Speaker 1: so they were they were executable in five days. And
• 46:53
Speaker 1: this was you remember Donald, We were like, oh, we
• 46:55
Speaker 1: were on the Universal back lot. There was an ambulance
• 46:58
Speaker 1: chase with ancient. It was huge, and I just remember
• 47:01
Speaker 1: being like, oh my god, he's totally testing if I
• 47:04
Speaker 1: can pull this off, and I did, and I did.
• 47:07
Speaker 1: I think it's I mean, we were ziplining across the
• 47:09
  Speaker 1: Universal backlock.
• 47:10
Speaker 5: Let's save it for that episode.
• 47:11
  Speaker 4: I know.
• 47:12
Speaker 1: Sorry you got me talking about because I really love
• 47:13
  Speaker 1: that episode.
• 47:14
Speaker 5: Okay, so now we're at this awesome w No, you're
• 47:17
  Speaker 5: going too fast.
• 47:18
Speaker 1: I want to talk about Sammy, the legendary Sammy Lloyd
• 47:21
Speaker 1: has some good stuff in this episode.
• 47:22
Speaker 5: Oh my goodness, okay, yeah, five.
• 47:24
Speaker 1: Oh nine, Sammy Lloyd comes in and uh, I remember
• 47:27
Speaker 1: now because he's covered in sweat. Yeah, right, right before,
• 47:30
Speaker 1: right before it takes they would sweat Sam up so
• 47:33
Speaker 1: he would totally look like he was always on the
• 47:35
Speaker 1: verge of a panic attack. Yes, yes, and and and
• 47:38
Speaker 1: Kelso goes to him, tell him Todd. He goes, it's ted,
• 47:42
Speaker 1: but it's ted even it's only been twelve years. And
• 47:46
Speaker 1: then at five twenty seven he laughed when he goes
• 47:49
Speaker 1: and then if this, if that happens, the higher ups
• 47:51
Speaker 1: heads are going to roll. And then he starts laughing. Yeah,
• 47:55
Speaker 1: very funny. Y. Yeah, Sam has some funny shit later
• 47:58
Speaker 1: later on in the MRI room run Away with Me, Yeah,
• 48:02
Speaker 1: he was run away with it. And then before that
• 48:05
Speaker 1: way I wrote down something. It was so funny. He says.
• 48:07
Speaker 1: Since my wife left me, I find it hard to
• 48:10
Speaker 1: see past the evil, right, something about like I can't
• 48:16
Speaker 1: date women since my wife left me, I find it
• 48:19
Speaker 1: hard to see past the evil.
• 48:20
Speaker 5: Now he finds love again. He finds love on the
• 48:23
Speaker 5: show later too, right.
• 48:24
Speaker 1: Yeah with Mazuchi, right with the gooch. Yeah, the Gooch
• 48:29
Speaker 1: played by Kate mccuchi, who's a very talented gal and
• 48:33
Speaker 1: plays the and sings really well and plays the ukulele
• 48:36
Speaker 1: very well. Yes so, Donald Liz bogush I. She did
• 48:41
Speaker 1: a great job. Of course that's her voice. Imagine getting
• 48:44
Speaker 1: apart good things. She knew she had two more episodes
• 48:46
Speaker 1: coming up, because imagine getting a part in and be like, hey,
• 48:48
Speaker 1: we're never going to see your face and I'd forgotten
• 48:51
Speaker 1: at the end of the episode. They were clever enough
• 48:52
Speaker 1: to not even reveal her.
• 48:53
Speaker 5: That was cool, right, and you had to wait until
• 48:55
  Speaker 5: the next episode.
• 48:56
Speaker 1: Right, But it wasn't even like to be continued. It
• 48:59
Speaker 1: was like some of the audience fight be like, oh,
• 49:01
Speaker 1: we never see her, you know, right?
• 49:03
Speaker 3: Well that's that's also very interesting because this is so
• 49:06
Speaker 3: at some point during the season, the show does start
• 49:11
Speaker 3: to connect where it becomes a serial, right, where it
• 49:14
Speaker 3: becomes uh, is that the right way to put it?
• 49:17
Speaker 1: Where yeah, when when they're when they're you know, when
• 49:18
  Speaker 1: they're going.
• 49:19
Speaker 3: In every episode is connected to and then it breaks
• 49:22
Speaker 3: apart again. I always like the fact that you could
• 49:25
Speaker 3: tune into Scrubs and no matter what episode you catch
• 49:28
  Speaker 3: it on, it's.
• 49:28
Speaker 1: Like you you know, yeah, you can watch it out
• 49:30
Speaker 1: of order, as I'm sure they aired it on syndication
• 49:33
Speaker 1: out of order, I imagine.
• 49:34
Speaker 5: But but but this specific, these specific two episodes.
• 49:38
Speaker 1: Well people would also you know, yeah, and certain actors
• 49:40
Speaker 1: would do arcs. You know, they do three, you know,
• 49:43
Speaker 1: I think Liz did three. All right, but come on,
• 49:46
Speaker 1: first of all, why can't JD just bend down and
• 49:49
Speaker 1: look into the damn machine.
• 49:50
  Speaker 5: I don't know, man, I don't.
• 49:52
Speaker 3: That's you know, I'm if if you're worried about that,
• 49:55
Speaker 3: If you're worried about that, you're not really watching the show.
• 49:58
Speaker 1: I know, Donald, But I'm telling you they nationalized it
• 50:00
Speaker 1: a little bit. You can tell the writers were wrestling
• 50:02
Speaker 1: with this because they were like, oh, no, she's hurt herself.
• 50:04
Speaker 1: We can't move her. Otherwise it was like, oh, come on, girl,
• 50:06
Speaker 1: just climb out of the fucking time, right, just or
• 50:11
Speaker 1: if you're that worried, slide a backboard in there and
• 50:13
Speaker 1: help some dudes slide her out, I mean, get her out.
• 50:15
Speaker 1: But but it is very clever. But I just want
• 50:17
Speaker 1: to say that, uh, the device was a little like,
• 50:20
Speaker 1: come on, buddy, just just peek in there. JD.
• 50:23
Speaker 5: Right, Well, she's just see what you would just see
• 50:25
  Speaker 5: nostrils and forehead.
• 50:26
  Speaker 2: Though.
• 50:26
Speaker 1: Well, first of all, if you've ever if you ever
• 50:28
Speaker 1: had an MRI I and I have, you're deep in that.
• 50:30
Speaker 1: You're deep in that thing.
• 50:31
Speaker 5: You're all the way in there, You're all the way in.
• 50:33
Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't know what the hell kind of MRI
• 50:36
Speaker 1: Liz Bogers was getting.
• 50:38
Speaker 5: Yeah, just ahead, I guess. But even when it's just ahead,
• 50:42
Speaker 5: you're all the way in.
• 50:42
Speaker 1: You want to take a break.
• 50:43
Speaker 3: Yeah, we should cut the commercial. They'll be here two minutes.
• 50:45
Speaker 3: So let's you know what we should do.
• 50:47
Speaker 1: Give me a break, Give me a break. I'm not
• 50:51
Speaker 1: gonna save the brand.
• 51:02
Speaker 5: And we're back with Donald Fazon and Zach Braff talking
• 51:08
Speaker 5: about this awesome wonner. Finally, I've been dying to talk
• 51:11
Speaker 5: about this for the entire episode.
• 51:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, so this this woner shot that starts at six
• 51:16
Speaker 1: fifty six. It goes for a full minute. It's very
• 51:19
Speaker 1: cleverly choreographed. And and here's Jackie. Hi, Hi, Jackie, jack Jackie.
• 51:30
  Speaker 5: Jackie's phone. I use hi.
• 51:35
Speaker 2: I was gonna use my computer, but at the very
• 51:37
Speaker 2: old computer, and it just wasn't working at all.
• 51:40
Speaker 1: No worries where just clad you're here. Welcome to fake doctors,
• 51:45
  Speaker 1: real friends.
• 51:46
Speaker 5: Ladies and gentlemen. Please welcome Jackie. Jack is here to
• 51:52
  Speaker 5: surprise someone.
• 51:53
Speaker 1: Oh another surprise, Joelle. You are just making people's months.
• 51:57
Speaker 5: I needed to pick me up and Jack did it.
• 52:01
Speaker 1: So Jackie, what's the story here?
• 52:03
Speaker 2: So at the end of this month is my boyfriend's
• 52:06
Speaker 2: thirtieth birthday, and I've been trying to forge out when
• 52:10
Speaker 2: I wanted to give him, and he has no idea
• 52:13
Speaker 2: what he wants. So I thought this would be a
• 52:15
Speaker 2: really nice surprise because we both are huge fans and
• 52:19
Speaker 2: we just finished we watched watching it Adie for the
• 52:22
Speaker 2: millions time. We watched it once a year together.
• 52:23
Speaker 1: Oh, thank you so much. That's that's really cool. Donald,
• 52:27
Speaker 1: we got to this is a this is a thirtieth
• 52:29
Speaker 1: birthday present. We gotta like, do you want to straighten
• 52:31
Speaker 1: your shirt or something? Do you want to change your shirt?
• 52:34
Speaker 1: Because what's his name, Jackie?
• 52:37
  Speaker 4: Sean?
• 52:38
  Speaker 1: Sean?
• 52:38
  Speaker 5: All right, Sean.
• 52:41
Speaker 1: You know it'll be funny if you tell Donald and
• 52:42
Speaker 1: I something about Sean that we they we couldn't possibly know,
• 52:46
Speaker 1: and we'll throw it out there during the conversation.
• 52:51
Speaker 2: He is a very big D and D person.
• 52:54
Speaker 1: Okay, okay, Donald, Donald, Donald can tap into that.
• 52:58
Speaker 2: Yes, he is a very big Dungeons and Dragons person.
• 53:02
Speaker 2: We actually are in a campaign. No, he does not,
• 53:05
Speaker 2: he does not DM, not yet. He's m I'm in
• 53:09
Speaker 2: my very first game with him right now.
• 53:11
Speaker 5: Okay, how do you? Congratulations? I guess sorry play? Have
• 53:15
Speaker 5: you played Dungeons and Dragons before or is this your
• 53:17
  Speaker 5: first time?
• 53:18
Speaker 1: This is my person and are you liking it?
• 53:21
Speaker 2: I am like you, and we're having it to do
• 53:22
Speaker 2: remotely unfortunately because of the pandemic going on, but it's
• 53:26
  Speaker 2: still really fun.
• 53:27
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 53:28
  Speaker 1: I would imagine a lot of D and D folks
• 53:29
Speaker 1: are doing this online.
• 53:30
Speaker 5: These days, right, yeah they are. You can good games?
• 53:34
Speaker 1: Yeah? Can we get into a game, Donald? Because you
• 53:37
  Speaker 1: like it? Right?
• 53:38
  Speaker 4: I do?
• 53:38
Speaker 5: I just it depends on what their rules are, you
• 53:40
Speaker 5: know what I mean certain rules are? I don't know.
• 53:42
Speaker 3: Man, you play, you know, I grew up playing Dungeons
• 53:45
Speaker 3: and Dragons and so you kind of get used to
• 53:48
Speaker 3: your DM and then you go and play in somebody
• 53:50
Speaker 3: else's world and you're like, this is nothing like how
• 53:52
Speaker 3: I remember playing it.
• 53:53
Speaker 1: Now, it can take a very long time, right, we
• 53:55
Speaker 1: don't have that much can we go? Can we do
• 53:57
Speaker 1: a campaign? Can we do a short campaign? Are you
• 53:59
Speaker 1: able to do a short campaign?
• 54:01
  Speaker 2: It's possible.
• 54:02
  Speaker 1: Yes.
• 54:03
Speaker 5: How long is the campaign that you're on right now?
• 54:04
Speaker 5: How long have you been doing it for?
• 54:06
Speaker 2: We have been doing it, I want to say for
• 54:08
Speaker 2: about a month, the same campaign. We meet up once
• 54:12
Speaker 2: a week and we'll play for about four hours.
• 54:15
Speaker 3: So you guys play like short hours. You don't really
• 54:18
Speaker 3: do the eight hour nine hour D and.
• 54:21
Speaker 2: D unfortunately not because some of them, like my boyfriend
• 54:25
Speaker 2: has to go in the work in the morning.
• 54:27
Speaker 3: H right, So we used to that used to be
• 54:30
Speaker 3: the jam, playing D and D until the sun came up,
• 54:33
Speaker 3: and then sleeping all day and then getting back together
• 54:35
Speaker 3: that night and playing D and D again.
• 54:37
Speaker 2: Oh he has had campaigns like that.
• 54:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, we used to love that. And I grew up
• 54:43
Speaker 3: in the inner city, so I used to play D
• 54:44
Speaker 3: and D with a bunch of drug dealers.
• 54:46
  Speaker 5: It's us.
• 54:48
Speaker 1: Why did you end up in a D and D
• 54:50
  Speaker 1: with drug dealers?
• 54:51
Speaker 5: Because I grew up with a bunch of drug dealers
• 54:52
Speaker 5: as friends, dude, that's why.
• 54:54
Speaker 1: So would they have to would they have to pause
• 54:56
Speaker 1: the campaign to deal drugs?
• 54:58
  Speaker 4: No?
• 54:58
Speaker 5: No, no, no no, no, no, no, no, no no.
• 55:00
Speaker 3: But it would just be funny because you know it's
• 55:03
Speaker 3: funny listening to your boy two ki rolling dice, Like,
• 55:07
Speaker 3: so I pull out my you know, I'd reach into
• 55:09
Speaker 3: my bag a holding, then pull out my sword plus
• 55:11
  Speaker 3: five swing.
• 55:13
  Speaker 5: Wow.
• 55:14
Speaker 3: You know, rolling dice turns into something completely different when
• 55:17
Speaker 3: you're in the hood. Yo, it's something completely different, yo.
• 55:21
Speaker 3: And then you know what I mean, you roll a
• 55:23
Speaker 3: twenty side dice. This is the dope thing about twenty
• 55:25
Speaker 3: side dice. You could either do a twenty side dice
• 55:27
Speaker 3: or you could do a ten sided and a six
• 55:29
Speaker 3: sided I think at the same time.
• 55:30
Speaker 5: And that's the same thing, right, And so you roll,
• 55:33
Speaker 5: and it's like rolling dice.
• 55:34
Speaker 3: You like blowing on the shit, hitting it off the feet,
• 55:38
Speaker 3: off the dogs, yoo, on the table.
• 55:41
Speaker 5: You got rules. If it goes off the if it
• 55:43
Speaker 5: goes off the board, it doesn't count. Then you get
• 55:47
  Speaker 5: particular about it.
• 55:48
Speaker 3: Like let's say it does go off the board, but
• 55:49
Speaker 3: you roll a natural twenty, which is a critical hit
• 55:51
Speaker 3: in the game that my buddy would DM and it
• 55:55
Speaker 3: rolled off the board, you'd fight five hours, like, yo, just.
• 55:57
Speaker 5: Please let this stand, let this be I just love
• 56:03
  Speaker 5: playing D and D.
• 56:05
Speaker 1: Well, maybe maybe Sean will let us into his game.
• 56:08
Speaker 1: He would, you'll bring that up.
• 56:11
Speaker 5: We'll bring that up in the conversation, like kind of crazy.
• 56:14
Speaker 2: I made him hide in our bedroom.
• 56:16
Speaker 1: What does he think it's gonna happen? Does? Does he
• 56:18
Speaker 1: have any idea what's about to happen?
• 56:19
  Speaker 5: He's like, Yo, she's.
• 56:21
Speaker 2: I guess it, but not really.
• 56:23
Speaker 1: I hope we're the best of his guesses.
• 56:25
Speaker 5: What if I doubt it, He's gonna be like, you
• 56:29
Speaker 5: need this this He's like, what the hell is bullshit?
• 56:32
  Speaker 1: I thought I was getting a new D and D dog.
• 56:34
Speaker 2: Ready, I need to sit next to you.
• 56:38
Speaker 1: You gotta put the earphone in his ear. I'm sorry
• 56:43
Speaker 1: to direct you. Happy birthday, Happy birthday, Happy birthday to
• 56:51
  Speaker 1: your Happy birthday.
• 56:55
Speaker 3: Happy birthday, Happy birthday too, Happy birthday, Happy birthday.
• 57:05
  Speaker 1: Hi Sean?
• 57:07
  Speaker 5: Is Sean's birthday?
• 57:09
  Speaker 1: All right?
• 57:10
Speaker 5: You can stop, mister third.
• 57:12
Speaker 1: Day Donald, Let the man speak.
• 57:15
Speaker 5: Jackie hooked it up.
• 57:18
Speaker 1: You got a good girlfriends, real friends. You're doing man, Happy,
• 57:28
  Speaker 1: happy birthday.
• 57:29
Speaker 5: Is this a surprise you expected?
• 57:30
Speaker 1: We want to make sure that we're better than the
• 57:32
Speaker 1: surprise you were expecting.
• 57:33
Speaker 8: Well, I did make a guess earlier was it was
• 57:37
Speaker 8: it us? Yeah, it was you, but it was like
• 57:40
Speaker 8: out of the world, like, yeah, sure, I bet what
• 57:43
Speaker 8: maybe you did this. I thought I had like a
• 57:44
Speaker 8: friend coming over or something, but this is, uh, this is.
• 57:50
Speaker 5: A friend coming over during quarantine. That's what you wanted?
• 57:53
Speaker 1: Yes, no, Sean, no friends only maybe a masked friend.
• 57:57
Speaker 1: I don't all right, right, hey man, Well, thank you
• 58:00
Speaker 1: for for liking our show and for being fans of us.
• 58:03
Speaker 1: We we we really appreciate it. And it's so it's
• 58:06
Speaker 1: so one of the cool things about this podcast is
• 58:08
Speaker 1: we get to randomly meet fans and and uh and
• 58:12
Speaker 1: it's it's so it's much fun for us to be
• 58:14
Speaker 1: able to see your face and talk to you.
• 58:16
Speaker 5: Absolutely. It's like it's like when we played D and
• 58:18
  Speaker 5: D and.
• 58:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, we wish you were in the D and D
• 58:20
Speaker 1: because we were gonna invite you into our game, but
• 58:22
Speaker 1: we we hear you're not into it.
• 58:26
Speaker 5: No, it's just like when we play right, and it's like,
• 58:32
Speaker 5: you know, you're going up against god.
• 58:35
Speaker 1: I grew up, I grew up playing I grew up
• 58:37
Speaker 1: playing I grew up playing with I grew up playing
• 58:39
Speaker 1: with with drug dealers in my in my hometown. I
• 58:46
Speaker 1: was gonna take I was gonna take your whole story
• 58:47
Speaker 1: and make the mind and impress Sean. Yeah, there's two key.
• 58:58
  Speaker 4: Oh my god.
• 58:59
Speaker 1: Yeah. So so tell us about yourself, Sean. We want
• 59:01
Speaker 1: to get to know you briefly.
• 59:03
  Speaker 2: We have you.
• 59:04
Speaker 1: Oh, where do you guys live?
• 59:06
Speaker 4: We live in Morgantown, West Virginia.
• 59:09
Speaker 5: Virginia, in the house right right right, West Virginia.
• 59:15
Speaker 1: What do you guys do for a living?
• 59:16
  Speaker 4: I'm a pharmacy technician.
• 59:19
Speaker 2: Nice currently I work at Alta Beauty as a prestige
• 59:25
Speaker 2: beauty price. They're sorry put makeup on people for a
• 59:28
Speaker 2: living right now, but you're.
• 59:30
Speaker 1: Not able to do that, I imagine right now, or
• 59:31
Speaker 1: maybe you guys are open, I don't know.
• 59:33
Speaker 2: We are open just for curbs I pick up, so
• 59:36
Speaker 2: only my managers are currently working. I have been home
• 59:39
Speaker 2: for the past month and a half.
• 59:41
Speaker 1: Okay, you're not gonna be able to go to the
• 59:42
Speaker 1: curb and put makeup on someone in the car, unfortunately, not.
• 59:47
Speaker 3: When and when you are reopen, I imagine it's going
• 59:50
Speaker 3: to be masks and gloves as you Yeah.
• 59:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, now, Sean, have you still been working because pharmacies
• 59:56
  Speaker 1: are obviously open.
• 59:58
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, still nothing every day.
• 1:00:00
Speaker 5: Yeah, so no time to play Dungeons and Dragons.
• 1:00:02
Speaker 1: Then, yeah, how are you able to do your campaign?
• 1:00:04
Speaker 8: You know, she was telling you, We've been doing We've
• 1:00:07
Speaker 8: been doing like Skyper, Google hangouts and there's a lot
• 1:00:11
  Speaker 8: of online.
• 1:00:11
  Speaker 4: Us to use.
• 1:00:14
Speaker 2: You're in three campaigns right now, I'm playing three different games.
• 1:00:17
Speaker 5: Well, what kind of character you do you have?
• 1:00:19
  Speaker 3: Like I had a I had a cleric in one,
• 1:00:21
Speaker 3: and then I had a monk and another like my my,
• 1:00:25
Speaker 3: my brother. At one point, the DM got funky in
• 1:00:28
Speaker 3: the game we were playing and he got to play
• 1:00:30
Speaker 3: a ogre magi, which was so sick.
• 1:00:33
Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yeah, can the DM?
• 1:00:35
Speaker 1: Can the DM make up any rules he or she wants?
• 1:00:38
Speaker 5: Yeah, it's their world, yep.
• 1:00:40
  Speaker 4: There.
• 1:00:41
Speaker 8: Yeah, I'm currently playing a a goliath fighter in one.
• 1:00:48
Speaker 8: I'm playing a halfling rogue in another, and a half
• 1:00:56
Speaker 8: elf draconic sorcerer in the third one.
• 1:01:00
Speaker 3: Nice do you guys have dark elves and with elves
• 1:01:02
Speaker 3: and all of that stuff? And oh yeah yeah, it's
• 1:01:06
Speaker 3: so such a fun game, man, oh man.
• 1:01:08
  Speaker 4: Yeah, it's uh, it's a lot of fun. I've made
• 1:01:11
Speaker 4: a lot of friends through.
• 1:01:11
Speaker 1: It and uh, that's cool. And so now that it's
• 1:01:14
Speaker 1: all online, does that make it easier for you or
• 1:01:18
Speaker 1: is it just as fun or do you prefer to
• 1:01:20
Speaker 1: be in person like around the table?
• 1:01:22
Speaker 4: I prefer to be in person table. It's just you know,
• 1:01:27
Speaker 4: it's just uh, some of the games have maybe six
• 1:01:32
Speaker 4: seven people in it, so it's kind of a big
• 1:01:35
Speaker 4: group to do online, a lot of screens to go through.
• 1:01:38
Speaker 4: It's just easier to do in person. But it's still
• 1:01:42
Speaker 4: you know, it's still scratches that itch and people.
• 1:01:44
Speaker 5: Get really passionate about it, right, I say, do you
• 1:01:46
Speaker 5: talk shit when you play?
• 1:01:47
Speaker 3: Are you one of those people that's like, yeah, I'm
• 1:01:49
Speaker 3: about to crack this motherfucker upside.
• 1:01:52
  Speaker 5: Wow, Sean.
• 1:01:53
Speaker 1: Sean doesn't seem like they like he would say something
• 1:01:55
Speaker 1: like that, Donald, Okay, not so much. Maybe do you
• 1:02:00
Speaker 1: guys ever get heated? Do you guys ever get heated
• 1:02:02
Speaker 1: and get in fights like I should have? That should
• 1:02:05
Speaker 1: have worked that role.
• 1:02:06
Speaker 8: Yeah, there's been some uh, there's been some friendly conflict
• 1:02:12
  Speaker 8: in some games.
• 1:02:13
Speaker 5: But yeah, do you guys have a question?
• 1:02:17
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, we forgot that. You're supposed ask a question, Sean.
• 1:02:20
Speaker 1: You can ask us anything, Sean, you can ask you
• 1:02:22
Speaker 1: know how on Reddit they have Ama ask me anything,
• 1:02:26
Speaker 1: this is your own personal birthday, Donald Faison, Zach braf Ama.
• 1:02:31
Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, it could be anything.
• 1:02:33
Speaker 1: It could anything Donald. You can even ask Donald a
• 1:02:36
Speaker 1: very private question and he'll answer it.
• 1:02:38
Speaker 5: I'll make it, don't blow it, Sean, I.
• 1:02:45
Speaker 1: Was ready, Okay, Well, well, Jackie, maybe while he thinks,
• 1:02:49
Speaker 1: do you have a question to help him out?
• 1:02:51
  Speaker 5: I've had a.
• 1:02:51
Speaker 2: Question because we we've discussed while we listen to your podcast,
• 1:02:55
Speaker 2: like if you're ever on here, what we want to
• 1:02:57
Speaker 2: ask Yeah, while we're watching Scrubs. So I assume you
• 1:03:03
Speaker 2: all have seen that the last season, season nine was
• 1:03:06
Speaker 2: not the best season.
• 1:03:07
  Speaker 5: I don't know what you're talking.
• 1:03:08
  Speaker 1: We don't even know there is a nine. I didn't
• 1:03:10
Speaker 1: know there was a season nine.
• 1:03:11
Speaker 5: What are you talking, Jackie.
• 1:03:12
Speaker 1: The first rule of season nine is there is no season.
• 1:03:15
Speaker 4: Don't talk about it.
• 1:03:17
Speaker 2: Well, they make it a season nine on Hulu. So
• 1:03:20
Speaker 2: I was kind of just wondering, like, you're just your
• 1:03:23
Speaker 2: own feelings on season nine.
• 1:03:24
  Speaker 5: In general, I.
• 1:03:26
Speaker 3: Thought season nine had some very funny moments. You know,
• 1:03:29
Speaker 3: I was going through a lot during season nine, Like
• 1:03:31
Speaker 3: I got new teeth while we were doing season nine.
• 1:03:35
Speaker 3: So there are a couple of episodes where my teeth
• 1:03:37
  Speaker 3: are like.
• 1:03:43
Speaker 1: I didn't know your teeth didn't come till season nine, And.
• 1:03:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's when I started. That's when I changed it up, yo,
• 1:03:48
Speaker 3: and got these big ass pearlies. Anyway, there's some really
• 1:03:52
Speaker 3: funny performances in season nine. Dave Franco makes me laugh,
• 1:03:56
Speaker 3: you know, in season nine, and outside of the show.
• 1:04:01
Speaker 3: I have great memories of season nine. I also have
• 1:04:03
Speaker 3: really bad memories of season nine. I knew it was over,
• 1:04:06
Speaker 3: and I knew it we weren't necessarily making the show
• 1:04:09
Speaker 3: that the fans wanted.
• 1:04:11
Speaker 1: But did you miss me?
• 1:04:13
Speaker 5: Well, you were in a lot of the episode.
• 1:04:15
Speaker 1: I was only in the first six.
• 1:04:18
Speaker 5: We only did thirteen.
• 1:04:20
Speaker 1: Well did you miss me for the seven?
• 1:04:22
Speaker 5: I missed you so much. I missed you so much.
• 1:04:25
Speaker 3: But the point is, I, you know, I didn't mind
• 1:04:29
Speaker 3: season nine. Granted I never really watched any of the
• 1:04:32
Speaker 3: episodes of Scrubs anyway, so it all kind of seems.
• 1:04:36
Speaker 3: It all felt like we were still doing our job.
• 1:04:39
Speaker 1: But it was weird too. It was weird for multiple reasons. One,
• 1:04:43
Speaker 1: I was leaving and that was in the air. Also,
• 1:04:46
Speaker 1: also eight seasons had been shot, as I'm sure you
• 1:04:49
Speaker 1: may know from just us talking about it in the past,
• 1:04:51
Speaker 1: in this abandoned hospital. And then for season nine we
• 1:04:54
Speaker 1: moved to a traditional studio backlot and all, and so
• 1:04:57
Speaker 1: they built that fake hospital on a stage and the
• 1:05:00
Speaker 1: classroom stuff was all on a stage, and it felt
• 1:05:03
Speaker 1: weird to me. It felt like jump the sharky a bit,
• 1:05:07
  Speaker 1: if you will.
• 1:05:09
Speaker 5: If you're gonna jump a shark, you might as well
• 1:05:10
Speaker 5: do it. Season nine.
• 1:05:11
Speaker 1: Though well we did. I mean, you know, we were
• 1:05:13
Speaker 1: so blessed we went nine seasons, but it just felt
• 1:05:16
  Speaker 1: I don't know, I felt weird about it, and I
• 1:05:20
Speaker 1: to this day, it's gonna be funny if we keep
• 1:05:22
Speaker 1: going and decide to make it Disease nine. It's gonna
• 1:05:23
Speaker 1: be really funny for me because I've never seen them,
• 1:05:25
Speaker 1: so I will be watching them for the very first time.
• 1:05:28
Speaker 1: But I know, Dave Franco was so funny. And I
• 1:05:30
Speaker 1: like to say I discovered Krrie Bochet because I put
• 1:05:32
Speaker 1: her in a pilot and then Bill saw the pilot
• 1:05:34
Speaker 1: and yeah, and I think carry a Northwestern graduate mind you,
• 1:05:39
Speaker 1: is very talented. But but I don't know, it was weird.
• 1:05:42
Speaker 1: There was a weird energy in there, you know, you
• 1:05:44
Speaker 1: know when when I think we all knew something was
• 1:05:46
Speaker 1: it was coming to an end, and we kind of
• 1:05:48
Speaker 1: we kind of knew his time for it to be over,
• 1:05:50
Speaker 1: but we kind of didn't want it to be over.
• 1:05:51
Speaker 1: And and I think in Bill's mind it was like,
• 1:05:54
Speaker 1: you know, if these new kids, if this gels with
• 1:05:56
Speaker 1: the audience, this could take off like like er you know,
• 1:05:59
Speaker 1: and and and just keep putting in new cast and
• 1:06:00
Speaker 1: have it keep going.
• 1:06:02
  Speaker 5: Yeah.
• 1:06:02
Speaker 3: I remember the moment I realized. I was like, holy shit,
• 1:06:05
Speaker 3: I'm screech. Holy shit, I'm scre you were screeching, and
• 1:06:09
Speaker 3: and and and and John.
• 1:06:11

• 1:06:17
  Speaker 4: I did I did read.
• 1:06:19
Speaker 8: I don't know if you guys talked about it or
• 1:06:20
Speaker 8: I also looked it up that it was almost supposed
• 1:06:24
Speaker 8: Season nine was almost supposed to be like a not
• 1:06:26
Speaker 8: a spin off kind of but like you know, they
• 1:06:29
Speaker 8: were gonna call it something different, like.
• 1:06:31
Speaker 5: Well, it is a spin off.
• 1:06:32
Speaker 3: It's not the same episode if you if you if
• 1:06:34
Speaker 3: it's not the same show, if you recognize Season nine
• 1:06:37
Speaker 3: came like a year and a half later, and not
• 1:06:39
Speaker 3: necessarily a year later, like.
• 1:06:40
Speaker 1: You know what I mean, Yeah, I was, I was leaving,
• 1:06:43
Speaker 1: and the the idea was to help launch this new series,
• 1:06:47
Speaker 1: So JD would be there for six episodes to like
• 1:06:50
Speaker 1: make the audience feel like it wasn't that different, and
• 1:06:53
Speaker 1: then I would tiptoe out and and hand the vo
• 1:06:56
Speaker 1: literally off to Carrie Bouche and and it was gonna
• 1:07:00
Speaker 1: be like Scrubs. Med School was kind of like the idea, right, yeah,
• 1:07:04
Speaker 1: and you know we're teachers now, but we had.
• 1:07:07
Speaker 5: Gotten so far into the silly realm by that time too,
• 1:07:11
Speaker 5: you know what I mean, Like it was very broad. Yeah, absolutely, dude,
• 1:07:15
Speaker 5: like you and I dressed up as a cowboy.
• 1:07:18
Speaker 1: And what was the name of that guy who I
• 1:07:21
Speaker 1: think may have passed? He was very funny, the security
• 1:07:23
  Speaker 1: guard guy.
• 1:07:24
Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, did he pass away?
• 1:07:26
Speaker 1: He did pass away? Yes, Joell's going to get his
• 1:07:28
Speaker 1: name for us. He was fun He was very funny.
• 1:07:32
Speaker 1: I remember doing some funny stuff with him while I
• 1:07:34
Speaker 1: was there for season nine.
• 1:07:36
Speaker 5: Do you have another questioning?
• 1:07:39
Speaker 4: I'm just entrance shock. Yes.
• 1:07:44
Speaker 1: Do you even request Donald concernade you with the song?
• 1:07:48
Speaker 4: The only request is that if I can do a
• 1:07:52
Speaker 4: it's a sequence of numbers that after the numbers a
• 1:07:55
Speaker 4: song plays you guys always doing the podcast. I don't
• 1:07:58
Speaker 4: want to say it because if I say.
• 1:07:59
Speaker 5: It, Oh you want to do it? Wait, I would
• 1:08:02
Speaker 5: have done it already.
• 1:08:03
Speaker 1: No, he's very respectful.
• 1:08:04
Speaker 5: I appreciate that, but I would have.
• 1:08:10
Speaker 1: Off Dan listen, listen, you would be You're allowed to
• 1:08:15
Speaker 1: do it because it's a special occasion. And by the way,
• 1:08:18
Speaker 1: a lot of a lot of people sorry, it's Wendell
• 1:08:20
Speaker 1: of middlebrooks uh. And he was hilarious and I'm sad
• 1:08:24
Speaker 1: to say that he did pass. He was a very,
• 1:08:27
Speaker 1: very funny man and he was on Season nine Scrubs.
• 1:08:29
Speaker 1: This is a security guard. But a lot of talk
• 1:08:32
Speaker 1: on the social media about Bill Lawrence and these numbers
• 1:08:35
Speaker 1: this week, and I think people were cracking up about
• 1:08:38
Speaker 1: how Bill kept doing that, and these numbers are all
• 1:08:42
Speaker 1: over my my timeline. I don't know if if it's
• 1:08:45
Speaker 1: happened to you too, Donald.
• 1:08:46
  Speaker 3: No, I I I I knew exactly what he was
• 1:08:48
Speaker 3: talking about when he said, I'm very impressed that he
• 1:08:52
Speaker 3: asked if he could do it, and he's.
• 1:08:54
Speaker 1: Unlike Bill, he's a respectful man.
• 1:08:59
  Speaker 2: Made it.
• 1:09:00
Speaker 5: I mean, yeah, like, but now you're taking it from
• 1:09:03
  Speaker 5: your Donald.
• 1:09:06
Speaker 1: Stopping. Listen, listen, and uh it's your birthday. You're the
• 1:09:12
Speaker 1: very first person we've allowed to do this. Who's not Donald?
• 1:09:16
Speaker 1: Bill Lawrence? A right? Oh, Judy did to.
• 1:09:19
Speaker 5: Judy did it? And so did Uh what's her name?
• 1:09:21
  Speaker 1: Uh?
• 1:09:22
Speaker 5: The caller didn't she?
• 1:09:24
Speaker 1: Yes? Okay, you're right. You ruined, you ruined the specialness
• 1:09:27
  Speaker 1: of it.
• 1:09:28
Speaker 4: As I'm not the only person.
• 1:09:30
  Speaker 1: Well, you're the you're, you're, you're one a few other
• 1:09:32
Speaker 1: than Donald and I.

Speaker 1: Well, thank you, thank you for calling in. Happy birthday.
• 1:09:40
Speaker 1: And as you leave, you may yell those, don't yell

• 1:09:48
  Speaker 1: Sean go ahead.

Speaker 1: someone well on a Duncan duncan on a D and
• 1:10:23
Speaker 1: D campaign, you say like, may your journey be successful
• 1:10:27
Speaker 1: or something like that.
• 1:10:28
  Speaker 4: That sounds great.
• 1:10:29
Speaker 1: May or may all of your May all of your
• 1:10:31
Speaker 1: journeys be successful. May the dice fall in your favor.

• 1:10:35
Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go.
• 1:10:36
Speaker 5: I wish you. I wish you twenty five critical hits
• 1:10:40
Speaker 5: in your next campaign.
• 1:10:42
Speaker 1: May a warlock never eat your brain.
• 1:10:45
Speaker 5: I hope you never see the eyes of a beholder.
• 1:10:49
Speaker 1: Yeah. If you ever come across an elf and his
• 1:10:53
Speaker 1: name is Jasper, ignore him.
• 1:10:58
Speaker 5: Elf with the bow is so cliche.
• 1:11:02
Speaker 1: Okay, bye, guys, we have the show is going on forever.
• 1:11:07
Speaker 5: Donald, this is a long one, huh.
• 1:11:10
Speaker 1: I know, I know what we got it going on,
• 1:11:12
Speaker 1: D and D and and uh and and so many
• 1:11:15
Speaker 1: other things. French fries.
• 1:11:17
Speaker 3: Okay, let's get back into it. Okay, So we were
• 1:11:18
Speaker 3: talking about the awesome.
• 1:11:20
Speaker 1: Uh, I think we've done the one or Justice Johnny's
• 1:11:22
Speaker 1: great Charles Pappard, the city came operated a fine job
• 1:11:26
  Speaker 1: to choreograph Lomark.
• 1:11:27
Speaker 5: Buckland missed a man amazing Okay. Uh. Then you with
• 1:11:32
Speaker 5: the medical jargon, I know, dude.
• 1:11:34
Speaker 1: I want to say that was badass, and I was
• 1:11:37
Speaker 1: watching him going go Zach because at nine ten, I
• 1:11:41
Speaker 1: have a big ass chunk of jargon. And for all
• 1:11:44
Speaker 1: of you in the medical profession, who know what the
• 1:11:45
Speaker 1: hell I'm saying. You guys are smart and all I
• 1:11:48
Speaker 1: had to do was memorize it. I didn't get too
• 1:11:51
Speaker 1: many of those, but that was a doozy.
• 1:11:53
Speaker 5: That was a doozy. Also, the return of Jimmy Walker.
• 1:11:57
Speaker 1: Oh so funny. Why are you oh always in my
• 1:12:01
Speaker 1: fan No? Why am I?
• 1:12:02
  Speaker 3: Oh?
• 1:12:03
Speaker 1: Ways the way you got a problem man? Yeah, by
• 1:12:07
Speaker 1: the way, you mentioned it last time, Jimmy Walker showed
• 1:12:09
Speaker 1: up and he makes really fun bizarre choices. Yes, like
• 1:12:13
Speaker 1: why are you oh in my fantasies? Yeah you got
• 1:12:17
  Speaker 1: a problem man?
• 1:12:19
  Speaker 4: Yeah?
• 1:12:20
Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah. That was hilarious, though very interesting
• 1:12:24
Speaker 5: line reads. It makes it very very funny. Yeah, that
• 1:12:29
Speaker 5: was he was kid dynamite.
• 1:12:31
Speaker 1: A little bit of trivia on Sarah Chalk in the
• 1:12:33
Speaker 1: Catcher outfit. She looks very cute at eleven forty two,
• 1:12:36
Speaker 1: but she's wearing a left handed mint Donald.
• 1:12:39
Speaker 5: Well that's for camera purposes, obviously, I guess so.
• 1:12:42
Speaker 1: But I'm telling you I looked on the on the
• 1:12:44
Speaker 1: on the trivia, and Sarah's a right hander, she shouldn't
• 1:12:47
Speaker 1: be wearing a left handed mint.
• 1:12:49
Speaker 5: Throw it right here, right here. She was help me
• 1:12:52
Speaker 5: to help you. I don't know how she didn't laugh
• 1:12:54
Speaker 5: with him doing that in her face.
• 1:12:56
Speaker 1: I think she did. I think I'm to help you,
• 1:12:58
Speaker 1: I'm sure. On the gagriel, which is probably on YouTube,
• 1:13:00
Speaker 1: you can see her cracking up at that.
• 1:13:02
Speaker 5: Yeah, and now finally, Yeah, it wasn't my final one.
• 1:13:05
Speaker 5: Doctor Kelso saying doctor Kelso, I'm not suing the hospital
• 1:13:09
Speaker 5: and then him walking out was my biggest laugh of
• 1:13:11
Speaker 5: the show. I said it before, I'll say it again.
• 1:13:14
Speaker 5: That shit was hilarious.
• 1:13:15
Speaker 1: Man, that was funny. My heart hates Ugos for fourteen
• 1:13:18
Speaker 1: forty fourteen. That's funny, but I mean, it's a funny line.
• 1:13:22
Speaker 1: But first of all, I'm no piece of art, and
• 1:13:25
Speaker 1: the idea that JD was saying he ates Uggos is
• 1:13:29
Speaker 1: a bit ridiculous because I'm no Brad Pitt myself. But
• 1:13:32
  Speaker 1: it was funny.
• 1:13:33
Speaker 5: But it was very funny. Yeah, very funny.
• 1:13:35
Speaker 1: That end song is supposed to be five for Fighting
• 1:13:38
Speaker 1: Easy Tonight, for licensing purposing purposes. I listened to it
• 1:13:42
Speaker 1: on Was it that on who? You listen on Hulu?
• 1:13:44
Speaker 5: No, I saw it on Hulu.
• 1:13:44
Speaker 1: It wasn't that for sure, Yeah it wasn't. I was
• 1:13:46
Speaker 1: on iTunes and it wasn't on iTunes. So, just to reiterate,
• 1:13:49
Speaker 1: some of you have heard say this a thousand times,
• 1:13:51
Speaker 1: but those of you who hadn't because there was no
• 1:13:53
Speaker 1: streaming and such when this show was made, and these
• 1:13:55
Speaker 1: licensing agreements were made with these songs unless you're watching
• 1:14:00
Speaker 1: them in certain places you have the DVDs of course,
• 1:14:03
Speaker 1: or most of the time, when you purchase it, like
• 1:14:06
Speaker 1: really purchase it iTunes or Amazon, the songs will be
• 1:14:09
Speaker 1: the original songs, I believe. But when you stream, some
• 1:14:12
Speaker 1: of those contracts have expired or didn't cover streaming. So
• 1:14:15
Speaker 1: someone who we never know and has nothing to do
• 1:14:17
Speaker 1: with Bill or Christa who did a lot of the music,
• 1:14:21
Speaker 1: just put songs in. I'd love to meet that person.
• 1:14:23
Speaker 1: Maybe Joelle can, Maybe Joelle can do a homework assignment
• 1:14:27
Speaker 1: on a very special episode of We Got to Bring That.
• 1:14:30
Speaker 1: We gotta find that person and be like some mysterious
• 1:14:32
Speaker 1: intern at Disney was responsible for just putting in random
• 1:14:36
Speaker 1: songs Because I was watching this this montage moment with
• 1:14:39
Speaker 1: Sarah starting to kick as in the ICU, and I
• 1:14:42
Speaker 1: said to myself, this music isn't moving me. And one
• 1:14:44
Speaker 1: of the great things about Scrubs is when they would
• 1:14:47
Speaker 1: find the perfect they slash, we would find the perfect
• 1:14:50
Speaker 1: bit of music and it would give you goosebumps, and
• 1:14:52
Speaker 1: it took the show to the next level. And people
• 1:14:54
Speaker 1: love that about the show. And it just goes to
• 1:14:56
Speaker 1: show you you can't just stick any old song in there,
• 1:14:58
Speaker 1: because a lot of the magic of this montage for
• 1:15:00
Speaker 1: me was lost because the song did nothing for me.
• 1:15:02
Speaker 1: No offense to those musicians. It's a lovely song, but
• 1:15:05
Speaker 1: it wasn't that magic that happens when you find just
• 1:15:07
Speaker 1: the right song. And I bet that five for Fighting
• 1:15:09
Speaker 1: Easy Tonight's song would have been perfect. Son you tell
• 1:15:12
Speaker 1: Judy you love her? At twenty twenty twelve, I was
• 1:15:14
Speaker 1: surprised by that. Why you break up for the whole episode?
• 1:15:18
  Speaker 5: I don't know. I don't think he's trying to break
• 1:15:20
Speaker 5: I think I think he's panicking. Yeah, you know what.
• 1:15:22
Speaker 3: I think the fact that he got upset about her
• 1:15:26
Speaker 3: taking the fries panicked him, because that's a sign of
• 1:15:30
Speaker 3: I really do care.
• 1:15:32
Speaker 5: About. You know what this how this girl makes me feel.
• 1:15:36
Speaker 3: I care so much that I'm starting to recognize patterns,
• 1:15:39
Speaker 3: you know what I mean. And when you start to
• 1:15:40
Speaker 3: recognize patterns, you're invested. And I think Turk realized, Holy cow,
• 1:15:47
Speaker 3: I'm so invested in Carla that and and and it's
• 1:15:53
Speaker 3: it's it's new for me. Therefore, he snaps with the
• 1:15:57
Speaker 3: French Fries and he doesn't know how to take it.
• 1:16:00
Speaker 3: And when it comes time to, you know, break up
• 1:16:03
Speaker 3: with her, what she thinks is about to happen, he
• 1:16:06
Speaker 3: tells her the truth.
• 1:16:07
Speaker 5: You know, the writers so much.
• 1:16:10
Speaker 1: The writers did a good job with that mislead, because
• 1:16:12
Speaker 1: I again haven't seen this in twenty years, and I
• 1:16:15
Speaker 1: was like, oh did they break up for a few episodes.
• 1:16:17
Speaker 1: I had no idea that you were about to say
• 1:16:18
  Speaker 1: I love you.
• 1:16:19
  Speaker 5: Oh, right on.
• 1:16:20
Speaker 1: You did a good job though you were. It was
• 1:16:21
Speaker 1: a very heartfelt moment. And you're a nine actor, Donald.
• 1:16:23
Speaker 5: Faizoon, Oh, Zach Braff, you are a fine actor.
• 1:16:27
Speaker 1: Two more small things. First time doctor Cox ever calls
• 1:16:31
Speaker 1: Sarah Barbie. Okay, just a little trivia for you.
• 1:16:35
Speaker 5: The two of them together was really fun. They were
• 1:16:37
  Speaker 5: really good together.
• 1:16:38
Speaker 1: They were good. They were good combo. And lastly, because
• 1:16:42
Speaker 1: there's girl Scout cookies in this episode, do you want
• 1:16:44
Speaker 1: to tell the listeners what your favorite Girl Scout cookie is? Joelle?
• 1:16:48
Speaker 1: Do you want to go first? Will don't?
• 1:16:49
  Speaker 5: I don't fuck?
• 1:16:49
  Speaker 2: What you?
• 1:16:50
Speaker 5: Gho style kikies? Whoa fighting?
• 1:16:53
  Speaker 1: Where's Donald?
• 1:16:54
Speaker 2: How can you have by cookies from these adorable little girls?
• 1:16:57
Speaker 1: I don't care about the girls. I care about the cookie.
• 1:16:59
Speaker 5: I think, yeah, say, I think the cookies are overpriced?
• 1:17:02
Speaker 1: You don't, Okay, But for the sake of this fucking exercise,
• 1:17:05
Speaker 1: can you name your favorite dick?
• 1:17:10
Speaker 5: I'll fuck with girl Scott cook?
• 1:17:11
Speaker 1: Oh, I got all right, Joelle? But Joelle, what's your favorite?
• 1:17:14
  Speaker 1: I like Samoa's.
• 1:17:15
Speaker 5: Samoas are delicious. That a frozen tag along, though, is
• 1:17:19
Speaker 5: my favorite. It's the chocolate and peanut buttery one.
• 1:17:21
Speaker 1: You're one of those ones? Dan, you want to weigh
• 1:17:23
Speaker 1: in favorite girls cookie? Oh he's got a box?
• 1:17:26
Speaker 3: Oh shit, he's got a box of samoas Samoa's. Just
• 1:17:30
Speaker 3: do you have a niece or something like that that
• 1:17:31
Speaker 3: you had to buy?
• 1:17:32
Speaker 5: Where did you get those I see those girls, I
• 1:17:34
Speaker 5: see those girls and their mom on the corner and
• 1:17:37
Speaker 5: I'm like, and they're like, girl scott cookies. Do you
• 1:17:39
  Speaker 5: know my mom?
• 1:17:40
Speaker 1: I'm like, no, Dan, Dan, what where did you get those?
• 1:17:43
Speaker 1: They come to my parents' neighborhood all the time. Okay,
• 1:17:46
Speaker 1: so they always hit me up, they said, Dan, they're
• 1:17:48
Speaker 1: coming around throws in order and I get in between
• 1:17:52
Speaker 1: five and tag boxes of samoas. You know what they're doing?
• 1:17:54
  Speaker 5: Money?
• 1:17:55
Speaker 1: You know what they're doing?
• 1:17:56
  Speaker 2: Money?
• 1:17:56
Speaker 1: Shut up, downs. You're supporting a charity, all right, listen?
• 1:17:59
Speaker 5: Oh is it for charity?
• 1:18:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, they give it to they do girlscout things with it.
• 1:18:03
  Speaker 5: What girls?
• 1:18:03
Speaker 1: Can you think they're just pocketing the money and putting
• 1:18:05
Speaker 1: badges on their ship.
• 1:18:07
Speaker 5: So let me get this straight.
• 1:18:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, when you think the girls cut cookies aren't doing
• 1:18:11
Speaker 1: with that money, let me get a prom.
• 1:18:13
Speaker 5: Hold on, let me get this straight.
• 1:18:14
Speaker 3: So, when you were a kid and you had to
• 1:18:16
Speaker 3: sell candy for something, you didn't pocket that money.
• 1:18:19
Speaker 1: No, And I never had one of those things because
• 1:18:21
