- 0:00Speaker 1: All start Toyota presents Off the Bench with Jacob Hester
- 0:04Speaker 1: and Matt Flynn.
- 0:05Speaker 2: Okay, here we go where.
- 0:07Speaker 1: The plays get broken down and science gets denied.
- 0:10Speaker 2: Got to come off the bench.
- 0:11Speaker 1: Hour two of Off the Bench Live from the Mercedes
- 0:14Speaker 1: Benz Baton Rouge Studio starts now.
- 0:31Speaker 2: Hi, welcome back in our number two. Oh TB.
- 0:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna throw it right back to Taye because he mentioned.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Some crutin news.
- 0:41Speaker 3: There is a big decision going down today here in
- 0:45Speaker 3: the capital city.
- 0:46Speaker 4: Yeah, Lamar Brown, the big one that everybody's waiting for.
- 0:50Speaker 4: I mean a lot of people say this could be
- 0:52Speaker 4: the number one lineman in the country, regardless of position.
- 0:56Speaker 4: It's committing today. You high at around twelve fifteen, so
- 1:00Speaker 4: it'll probably be more like twelve forty five. But it's
- 1:02Speaker 4: a two horse race right now. LSU, Texas, A and M.
- 1:05Speaker 4: The guy's been back and forth. I mean, you remember
- 1:07Speaker 4: it was the controversy that everybody freaked out about that
- 1:10Speaker 4: he canceled his LSU trip, went to A and M.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Everybody freaked out, went back to LSU. They got the
- 1:16Speaker 4: final visit. Like it's it's been neck and neck right now,
- 1:19Speaker 4: it'll come down to the wire for sure.
- 1:21Speaker 3: He is right now on on three dot com the
- 1:25Speaker 3: number seven overall player in the country regardless of position.
- 1:30Speaker 3: He plays offense and eventive line there for U High.
- 1:34Speaker 3: Great young man. Really enjoyed watching him play over the
- 1:37Speaker 3: last couple of years. And you know, you get a
- 1:41Speaker 3: little nervous whenever it's somebody that is a baton rouge guy. Right,
- 1:45Speaker 3: do they want to spend the next three four years
- 1:47Speaker 3: in the same city. And you get real nervous when
- 1:49Speaker 3: it's a U High player just because they've gone to
- 1:52Speaker 3: school on LSU's campus.
- 1:54Speaker 2: Basically their entire life.
- 1:56Speaker 3: And he is one of the best players, as we said,
- 1:59Speaker 3: top ten player regardless of position. It would be a
- 2:02Speaker 3: massive gift for LSU here in this next recruiting class.
- 2:05Speaker 2: And I know that. I think Texas and Miami are
- 2:08Speaker 2: the other teams.
- 2:09Speaker 3: I'm sure they'll have a place at the table, but
- 2:11Speaker 3: it is Texas, A and m and LSU.
- 2:15Speaker 2: Yeah, you got to.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Thinking about just recruiting in general, especially when you're recruiting
- 2:21Speaker 5: a hometown guy. First of all, you got to tell you,
- 2:25Speaker 5: I hope Betner's treated well up to this point in
- 2:27Speaker 5: his life, and he wants to stay about four more years.
- 2:33Speaker 5: But it's so interesting just in the in our world.
- 2:36Speaker 5: It's like, what conversations are going on behind like closed
- 2:40Speaker 5: doors on all these recruits, And we're not just talking
- 2:42Speaker 5: about the specific one, but behind all closed doors with
- 2:44Speaker 5: all these other schools, Like is their offers being thrown out?
- 2:48Speaker 5: How like what kind of money gets talked? Is there's
- 2:50Speaker 5: agents involved. I'm just I'm so curious about how all
- 2:53Speaker 5: that plays out in the recruiting of Heights. I know
- 2:56Speaker 5: it does when you're going from college to college because
- 2:58Speaker 5: they have a little bit more support once they're in college,
- 3:01Speaker 5: I think as far as like negotiating and talking about
- 3:05Speaker 5: the money part of things. But when you're talking about
- 3:07Speaker 5: coaches sitting in a sixteen seventeen year old's living room,
- 3:12Speaker 5: what kind of conversations are happening?
- 3:16Speaker 3: What kind of conversations Like this is more of an
- 3:19Speaker 3: old school conversation, not the nil and like you can
- 3:24Speaker 3: go find like rivals, who's now part of on three?
- 3:27Speaker 3: Like they have nil value and the evaluation for a
- 3:30Speaker 3: Lamar Brown. But I'm talking about like just old school
- 3:33Speaker 3: conversations about later in life. And I know those don't
- 3:35Speaker 3: happen as much, but for me, it was an easier
- 3:40Speaker 3: sale to come to LSU because coach Saban's like, Hey,
- 3:44Speaker 3: if you want to be set up for the rest
- 3:46Speaker 3: of your life, here's how it happens. You're from Louisiana,
- 3:50Speaker 3: you go to LSU, you play well, you play in
- 3:53Speaker 3: the league for a little bit, and you come back
- 3:55Speaker 3: and Louisiana takes care of you. That was the sale.
- 3:58Speaker 3: And it's been very true in my life. You came
- 4:01Speaker 3: from out of state, what was maybe the main talk
- 4:06Speaker 3: because that was it. That was the main talk to me,
- 4:08Speaker 3: to my parents, whoever, that was it for somebody coming
- 4:12Speaker 3: out of state.
- 4:12Speaker 2: What was like the main point?
- 4:14Speaker 5: Yeah, I was so just at that stage of my life.
- 4:20Speaker 2: I was so just like what's right in front of me? Mindset?
- 4:24Speaker 5: And yeah, I've told the story so many times about
- 4:27Speaker 5: like I grew up a Baylor fan. I grew up
- 4:30Speaker 5: like in the old at my young days, the old
- 4:32Speaker 5: Southwestern Conference fan, and then of course the Big Twelve.
- 4:38Speaker 5: And then when I finally when I was getting recruited
- 4:40Speaker 5: in high school, when my eyes were open to the SEC,
- 4:43Speaker 5: I first went to a first SEC game ever was
- 4:48Speaker 5: Tennessee at Alabama on a recruiting trip. Not even it
- 4:51Speaker 5: wasn't my recruiting trip. It was a friend of mine
- 4:54Speaker 5: that was a year older. It was his recruiting trip,
- 4:56Speaker 5: and I was like, I looked around, like with tailgate
- 5:00Speaker 5: in the stadium, I'm like looking around, like, what the
- 5:02Speaker 5: hell is this like?
- 5:03Speaker 2: And that's when I fell in love with the SEC.
- 5:05Speaker 5: So I knew I wanted to go to a school
- 5:08Speaker 5: in the SEC, but I was just so my the
- 5:11Speaker 5: recruiting pitch was for me.
- 5:13Speaker 2: It was pretty easy.
- 5:14Speaker 5: It was like, LSU, it's in the SEC. I know
- 5:18Speaker 5: I want to go there. At the time when I
- 5:20Speaker 5: was getting recruited, Rohann Davey was out there just spinning it,
- 5:24Speaker 5: throwing it all over there, and I was like, all right, well,
- 5:26Speaker 5: this is the the guy that's recruiting me. Jimbo Fisher
- 5:29Speaker 5: is a guy that created that offense and it's running
- 5:32Speaker 5: that offense, play calling that. Like, so the opportunity was there.
- 5:35Speaker 5: They showed a lot of interest in me. So and
- 5:39Speaker 5: you want to go to a place where you were wanted,
- 5:41Speaker 5: of course, and they did. I mean that that was
- 5:43Speaker 5: just a total old school recruiting style back then. It's
- 5:46Speaker 5: like you gotta gotta be you gotta make the players
- 5:49Speaker 5: like you. You gotta make them feel wanted, you got
- 5:51Speaker 5: to make them feel important, You got to do all
- 5:52Speaker 5: the things right. But it wasn't ever like, Man, I'm
- 5:56Speaker 5: gonna go there and I'm gonna like your story. I mean,
- 5:58Speaker 5: that's a great recruiting tactic for you from Louisiana. Playing
- 6:00Speaker 5: in Louisiana, come back your set for life. That was
- 6:03Speaker 5: never like part of my mindset. I never even had
- 6:05Speaker 5: the mindset. When I was in high school, I'm like, oh,
- 6:07Speaker 5: I can go play at the next level. Right when
- 6:08Speaker 5: I got to college, I went like, oh, I can
- 6:10Speaker 5: go play at the next level. It was just like
- 6:13Speaker 5: what's directly in front of me. But LSU is just
- 6:16Speaker 5: the place that I went and visited and I knew
- 6:18Speaker 5: I wanted to play in sec fell in love with it.
- 6:20Speaker 6: And.
- 6:22Speaker 2: I don't know. I guess I'll just keep living for
- 6:25Speaker 2: the moment. Look at you. Yeah, me, I I don't
- 6:30Speaker 2: like the plane ahead. I think we know, yeah, we
- 6:33Speaker 2: know the like Sean Foster, Yeah right.
- 6:37Speaker 3: The U portion of it is interesting just just because
- 6:43Speaker 3: like I I understand, like I get it. Like that
- 6:46Speaker 3: was one of my fears sending my children to you
- 6:48Speaker 3: high Like, man, are they gonna like want to go
- 6:51Speaker 3: somewhere else just because like that, I've gone here for
- 6:53Speaker 3: twelve straight years. Spread their wings, right, do I want
- 6:56Speaker 3: to go somewhere different? I mean they're they're school literally,
- 6:58Speaker 3: like it's literally on campus, right, So.
- 7:04Speaker 2: That's always like a worry there. But you said they
- 7:06Speaker 2: get to go get food at the union. Yeah they do,
- 7:09Speaker 2: and that's part of what they do.
- 7:10Speaker 3: Yeah, it's cool, and but that's always like one of
- 7:13Speaker 3: the things that you worry about. But this is a
- 7:15Speaker 3: player that you've got a real opportunity at, You've got
- 7:17Speaker 3: a real shot at. And look, no matter what happens today,
- 7:20Speaker 3: I don't think that either school stops recruiting Labar Brown.
- 7:23Speaker 3: That's just going to continue to happen A and m LSU,
- 7:26Speaker 3: both those schools, and actually they would be doing themselves
- 7:29Speaker 3: so disservice if they did not continue to recruit him
- 7:32Speaker 3: unless he's just like I completely totally want to shut
- 7:34Speaker 3: it down. I don't want to field calls because I'm
- 7:36Speaker 3: worried about the season.
- 7:38Speaker 2: I get that.
- 7:38Speaker 3: But I'll just say this, and I'm biased, no doubt
- 7:42Speaker 3: about it. Purple and gold glasses here. I've said it once,
- 7:46Speaker 3: I've said it a million times, and I'll let's go
- 7:48Speaker 3: a million in one. Matt coming from Texas, had Texas, Baylor,
- 7:54Speaker 3: Texas Tech, Houston, A and m whatever. You know, all right,
- 8:00Speaker 3: If this was a Mississippi conversation, you've got Mississippi State and.
- 8:04Speaker 2: You've got Old miss all right.
- 8:06Speaker 3: If this was a Georgia conversation, even Georgia Tech won
- 8:09Speaker 3: a national championship in the nineties, right. If this was
- 8:12Speaker 3: an Alabama conversation, well you've got Auburn, You've got Alabama.
- 8:15Speaker 3: If you are talking in the state of Florida, you
- 8:17Speaker 3: got Miami, you got Florida, you got Florida State. I
- 8:21Speaker 3: think what makes Louisiana unique, And this is not a
- 8:25Speaker 3: shot at Louisiana Tech or ULL or any o.
- 8:28Speaker 2: They're good programs, but we all know what it is.
- 8:31Speaker 3: From top to bottom, east to west, LSU is king
- 8:36Speaker 3: And if you have the opportunity to be from Louisiana
- 8:39Speaker 3: and go to LSU, it is a true forty year decision,
- 8:44Speaker 3: not a four year decision, because it doesn't matter where
- 8:48Speaker 3: you're at in the state.
- 8:50Speaker 2: Right, no place hates LSU.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Like if you're in Texas and you're in Austin hate
- 8:55Speaker 3: a m if you're in Auburn, Alabama, they hate Alma.
- 9:00Speaker 3: If you're in Touch Looser, they hate Auburn, right, and
- 9:02Speaker 3: those surrounding areas. Right, LSU is different in that way
- 9:06Speaker 3: to the success that they've had and the advantages that
- 9:10Speaker 3: they have and the things they can give you after life.
- 9:13Speaker 5: And that's what makes any on the football field like
- 9:15Speaker 5: so great, such great sports fans and such also harsh
- 9:18Speaker 5: sports fans as well, because they know ball, they love ball,
- 9:22Speaker 5: they're passionate about it. We all are, like everybody in Louisiana,
- 9:25Speaker 5: passionate about the Tigers and the Saints or whoever we
- 9:28Speaker 5: cheer for in Louisiana. And if you are good to them,
- 9:33Speaker 5: they're good to you. And probably a little bit of
- 9:35Speaker 5: a vice versa. But I mean, it's but that's what
- 9:37Speaker 5: makes it so great. That's why I want to That's
- 9:39Speaker 5: why people want to go here. And I would, and
- 9:40Speaker 5: I would say to this kid and any other kid,
- 9:42Speaker 5: like take your time in the process, enjoy their recruitment,
- 9:47Speaker 5: like the whole thing, make your visits, go see other places.
- 9:50Speaker 5: But like at the end of the day, when you
- 9:52Speaker 5: decide to make a commitment, and this is like, well
- 9:55Speaker 5: my dad preached with me and what I would, you know,
- 9:57Speaker 5: hope to preach to my kids if if they ever
- 9:59Speaker 5: got the opportunit.
- 10:00Speaker 2: It's like, we're gonna visit. We're gonna keep an open mind.
- 10:04Speaker 5: We're going to see other places, see what other people say,
- 10:06Speaker 5: have to offer, blah blah blah. Like once we make
- 10:08Speaker 5: a commitment, that's our commitment, Like we shut it down.
- 10:13Speaker 5: Like if we commit to somebody and promise them that
- 10:15Speaker 5: we're gonna come there unless they do something that they
- 10:19Speaker 5: said they weren't gonna do, then we're so Like when
- 10:22Speaker 5: I was getting recruited, they the first time I met
- 10:25Speaker 5: with him, when they offered me a scholarship, we're taking
- 10:26Speaker 5: two quarterbacks this year.
- 10:28Speaker 2: We have to have two. We're taking two. I said, great,
- 10:30Speaker 2: I said, I'll be your first to commit. Yea, So
- 10:33Speaker 2: I did. And then a month later Robert Lane committed. Whoa,
- 10:39Speaker 2: what's up? Robert Lane? Neville Ye shout out to the Monroe.
- 10:44Speaker 5: Ended up playing tight end full back it all miss
- 10:46Speaker 5: miss Yeah, good dude.
- 10:47Speaker 2: I've told you. I've told you my Robert Lane story.
- 10:52Speaker 5: No in case this story okay, so, but I.
- 10:56Speaker 2: I'm proud of you for finishing your story. By the way,
- 10:59Speaker 2: thank you. See squirrels a lot. I'm gonna finish this one.
- 11:01Speaker 5: But but I committed to him, so it's like and
- 11:04Speaker 5: he's great, and I knew upfront. Two quarterbacks, blah blah blah.
- 11:07Speaker 5: The only waiver I ever did was the week leading
- 11:12Speaker 5: up the signing day. They were still even though they
- 11:17Speaker 5: had both of us committed, they were still hard recruiting JaMarcus.
- 11:21Speaker 5: And I was like, well, you got too committed. You
- 11:23Speaker 5: said you were taken too. You're not pulling a scholarship
- 11:26Speaker 5: for me or Robert, Like you can't, Like they're not
- 11:29Speaker 5: going to say sorry, you don't get it anymore because
- 11:31Speaker 5: we committed to him, right. It just didn't work that way.
- 11:33Speaker 5: It's a really bad impression. It was pretty public that
- 11:36Speaker 5: these kids are committed, and I was like, so like like,
- 11:40Speaker 5: what's up? And then so I almost ended up documentting
- 11:45Speaker 5: like the night before, so Robert lane d did decommit.
- 11:48Speaker 2: He did and almost de committed the night before just
- 11:53Speaker 2: because of that.
- 11:54Speaker 5: So like if they if the college does something that
- 11:57Speaker 5: they said they weren't going to do, right, then yeah, okay,
- 12:00Speaker 5: the commitment, you can maybe go back on that at
- 12:02Speaker 5: that point.
- 12:03Speaker 2: But yeah, we almost switched over to A and M.
- 12:07Speaker 5: I know, Wandra, Sorry, So so FRANCHIONI was so FRANCHIONI
- 12:12Speaker 5: was a coach at Question Alabama.
- 12:14Speaker 2: We did not know this before we hired him.
- 12:18Speaker 5: I was an A and M fan growing up. Okay,
- 12:20Speaker 5: FRANCHIONI what he was? So FRANCHIONI was the first, like big,
- 12:23Speaker 5: big school to offer me a scholarship, Like he offered
- 12:25Speaker 5: me a scholarship, like on the field of their spring game,
- 12:29Speaker 5: like in the middle of like in front of all
- 12:30Speaker 5: the fans. Like it was kind of a cool, kind
- 12:32Speaker 5: of a cool story. But he leaves that job to
- 12:37Speaker 5: go to Texas A and M job And this is
- 12:39Speaker 5: like the week before signing day or something like that.
- 12:41Speaker 5: He's on his like opening press conference taking the job
- 12:45Speaker 5: at A and M. And I'm watching the press conference
- 12:47Speaker 5: at home and uh, press conference is over, and like
- 12:51Speaker 5: a minute or two later, my phone's ringing it to
- 12:53Speaker 5: him and he's like, hey, dude, do you want to
- 12:54Speaker 5: come be my quarterback?
- 12:55Speaker 2: Blah blah blah. And I was like, no, I'm sorry,
- 12:56Speaker 2: I'm committed.
- 12:57Speaker 5: But then the whole thing where they kept recruiting JaMarcus
- 12:59Speaker 5: was happening. Yeah, so I was like all right, Maybe
- 13:01Speaker 5: I do want to go over there.
- 13:02Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 13:03Speaker 6: So.
- 13:04Speaker 5: I remember I talked to Jimbo before for like two
- 13:06Speaker 5: hours the night before Saturday.
- 13:08Speaker 2: I mean, talk to Jimbo. You got any words? Jimbo
- 13:11Speaker 2: can get in in two hours all the words? You know?
- 13:14Speaker 2: How many every word? Seventeen year old me got him zero?
- 13:18Speaker 2: Probably not a lot zero.
- 13:19Speaker 7: Oh my gosh. You would have been out there I
- 13:21Speaker 7: yelled practice.
- 13:23Speaker 2: Yeah what look?
- 13:24Speaker 5: And if I if it didn't work out there at quarterback,
- 13:27Speaker 5: I could have been a yell leader.
- 13:29Speaker 2: That's Taylor.
- 13:31Speaker 7: We have too many yell leaders.
- 13:32Speaker 4: He moved like one person in this building. But they keep,
- 13:36Speaker 4: they keep.
- 13:36Speaker 2: Taylor, You're not You're not the most.
- 13:39Speaker 4: I'm up there.
- 13:40Speaker 2: You see all those push ups they do. Though you're
- 13:43Speaker 2: not the most.
- 13:44Speaker 4: At least six people I could rip right now that
- 13:47Speaker 4: are more yell leader at least.
- 13:48Speaker 2: Let's see in this place.
- 13:49Speaker 4: Scott Mooso right there off the bat.
- 13:52Speaker 7: I don't think Moose.
- 13:53Speaker 2: I could see. I could see I could see Moose.
- 13:56Speaker 2: If it like LSU baseball need a yell leader, he'd
- 13:58Speaker 2: be that number. Same thing for Hunt.
- 14:02Speaker 7: Hunt is a yell leader. He went to yell practice.
- 14:05Speaker 3: That's very true. A couple of things before we take
- 14:09Speaker 3: a break. Georgia Greek says, wrong day for Hester to
- 14:11Speaker 3: wear the A and M hat. It's actually a Leonora
- 14:14Speaker 3: Seller's hat because he kept beating flynnon in n Cuba.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Or it's a Mississippi State hat because I want him
- 14:20Speaker 3: to know who Jeff Lebby is.
- 14:21Speaker 2: Good coach. You know, swag could be.
- 14:24Speaker 3: A lot of different things, George, Although I appreciate the comment,
- 14:27Speaker 3: good call Robert Lane's story. I've told this on air before,
- 14:31Speaker 3: and statute of limitations is over. I didn't tell it
- 14:35Speaker 3: for like twenty years. Uh So, in the recruiting process,
- 14:39Speaker 3: you get you know, you get head coaches numbers, right,
- 14:44Speaker 3: and like you say, in your phone because like if
- 14:45Speaker 3: the head coach calls, you wanted to you know, answer
- 14:49Speaker 3: or whatever. It's not like it is today, Like it yeah,
- 14:53Speaker 3: is what it is? Like you had like four or
- 14:54Speaker 3: five head coaches in your phone. That's the only way
- 14:58Speaker 3: you can get in contact with him. There's no there
- 15:00Speaker 3: was no text messages, there was no social media. So
- 15:04Speaker 3: my buddies get my phone one time and I don't
- 15:06Speaker 3: even think anything of it.
- 15:07Speaker 2: I'm like, what are they doing over there? Playing snake.
- 15:09Speaker 3: And so later on in the night, you know, we're
- 15:14Speaker 3: high school kids doing stupid things probably, but they're like, hey,
- 15:17Speaker 3: let's do it, let's do it, let's do it.
- 15:19Speaker 2: I'm like, yeah, let's do it. What are we doing? Yeah, okay, sure.
- 15:23Speaker 3: So my buddy he gets he gets his phone based
- 15:28Speaker 3: off a number he had already gotten out of my phone,
- 15:31Speaker 3: and he calls it and this is the day after
- 15:33Speaker 3: signing day your class.
- 15:37Speaker 2: And this man called coach Saban.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Oh, and he said, Hey, this is blah blah blah
- 15:46Speaker 3: from this blah blah blah paper or whatever.
- 15:48Speaker 2: I'm and I still like, I don't know who's on
- 15:50Speaker 2: the phone, but I know something's going down, and I'm panicking.
- 15:54Speaker 3: He's like, I just want to get a quote on
- 15:56Speaker 3: Robert Lane coming to LSU and how that's going to
- 15:58Speaker 3: work out and maybe the future for Robert Lane. And
- 16:02Speaker 3: I wasn't listening, like it wasn't a speakerphone back then.
- 16:05Speaker 3: But he they tell me that. He says, don't you
- 16:08Speaker 3: know Robert Lane didn't sign here, he signed with Old Miss.
- 16:12Speaker 3: And my buddy said, yeah, that's because this is a
- 16:14Speaker 3: prink call, you.
- 16:15Speaker 4: Idiot, prank callin Saban to the lead.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Yeah, and y'all, I mean, my palms were sweat. He's
- 16:25Speaker 3: still thinking about that. And that was twenty one years,
- 16:28Speaker 3: twenty two years speaker phone, speaker phone, So I didn't
- 16:31Speaker 3: hear what he said, but they he my buddy said.
- 16:34Speaker 3: All he said was, don't you know he signed with
- 16:36Speaker 3: old miss in that way? He's like, yeah, it's a
- 16:38Speaker 3: it's a prink call, you idiot. Do y'all want to
- 16:42Speaker 3: know this is really this is really going behind the
- 16:45Speaker 3: scenes there? Uh? Do y'all want to know where that
- 16:48Speaker 3: guy ended up playing college football and who he ended
- 16:50Speaker 3: up playing college football for? Absolutely Alabama and Nick Saban.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I'm assumeing he never told probably not, probably not, probably
- 17:04Speaker 2: not I would idiot, y'all don't understand Like I was, like,
- 17:09Speaker 2: I was not like I had coach Saban's number, but
- 17:14Speaker 2: I was by no means like guaranteed to go to
- 17:17Speaker 2: l s U at that point, right, And.
- 17:19Speaker 3: I'm like, what was it Star six seven or Star six?
- 17:22Speaker 3: What'd you push Star six? But like said, hyd your number?
- 17:25Speaker 3: I mean I'm panicking, like what if it didn't work?
- 17:27Speaker 3: What if it came through? Like did you just ruin
- 17:29Speaker 3: my future?
- 17:31Speaker 5: Because that is my future, How do we how much
- 17:33Speaker 5: do we trust Star sixty seven?
- 17:36Speaker 4: I actually never tried it.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I think second day it was big.
- 17:40Speaker 5: So Actually I was in a conversation last week where
- 17:43Speaker 5: people still use it.
- 17:45Speaker 2: Teap House said I'd rather be called nine to one
- 17:47Speaker 2: one than Saban.
- 17:49Speaker 3: Y'all, y'all have to understand, like, Hey, I'm gonna prank
- 17:51Speaker 3: call Flyn right now, buddy, my buddy like he was.
- 17:55Speaker 3: He was just that was him, like wasn't wasn't gonna panic.
- 17:59Speaker 3: It didn't matter who it was. But for about three
- 18:02Speaker 3: months I was paying that coach. Saban knew that it was,
- 18:05Speaker 3: you know me who he got the number from.
- 18:07Speaker 4: Anytime he gets on to your practice, You're like, damn.
- 18:11Speaker 2: Are you doing it right now? I'm trying Star six seven.
- 18:15Speaker 2: She gotta get your Nobody knows numbers by heart.
- 18:18Speaker 8: I know.
- 18:18Speaker 7: I'm like going back and forth.
- 18:20Speaker 2: Don't say it on the mic. I thought she was
- 18:22Speaker 2: because I was about that's not it.
- 18:28Speaker 7: That would be really funny if I did tell your
- 18:30Speaker 7: number on air on accident. Okay, I'm Star six seventy.
- 18:34Speaker 2: Check this out, man, does it say?
- 18:36Speaker 7: Unknown?
- 18:36Speaker 2: Says no? Caller? ID ID crazy?
- 18:40Speaker 7: Because even if I have Star six seven. Wild still works.
- 18:51Speaker 2: But I bet a I knows.
- 18:53Speaker 7: Oh, like ask a I who's calling me right now?
- 18:56Speaker 3: Maybe maybe just Robert Lane China knows. China turned into
- 19:03Speaker 3: a full back and never really panned out.
- 19:07Speaker 5: I remember hanging out with him at Reggie's back in
- 19:09Speaker 5: the day. He came in when they had an off ak.
- 19:12Speaker 5: We were, we were out.
- 19:13Speaker 2: There in that back corner, you know, Jason Spaedoni there too,
- 19:18Speaker 2: was his shirt off, absolutely sweat to own back pocket.
- 19:21Speaker 2: Called that soldier rag That's what what was your boy?
- 19:25Speaker 2: That's what he called it, which one. Ricky Clawson, that's
- 19:31Speaker 2: what he called it, his soldier Ragg. You know that
- 19:34Speaker 2: you weren't. I wasn't in school with him. One of
- 19:36Speaker 2: my visits. I was with Maxwell and Bull. I think
- 19:40Speaker 2: we're giving all the names today.
- 19:43Speaker 7: It's exposing everything. It's over twenty something years statute of limitations.
- 19:47Speaker 2: And one of those names. I just gave us a nickname.
- 19:49Speaker 2: Nobody knows. It's fine, right.
- 19:53Speaker 4: Rick Clawson though, man like when he left with the
- 19:56Speaker 4: Tennessee like everybody thought he was gonna be the guy.
- 19:58Speaker 4: And then eric Anane said something to say about up.
- 20:01Speaker 2: Rick Claus and Damon come in and hit us on
- 20:03Speaker 2: Monday night and five.
- 20:05Speaker 4: Yeah, that was was that less his first game, No,
- 20:08Speaker 4: first year, first game, That's right, that was the one
- 20:11Speaker 4: that got moved because of the well they both got
- 20:13Speaker 4: moved too.
- 20:15Speaker 2: Damn good to lose that game. I know, up twenty
- 20:18Speaker 2: one and nothing at halftime they couldn't stop Joe and die.
- 20:21Speaker 2: What happened? How do we lose? No idea? We threw?
- 20:26Speaker 3: So we threw a throwback screen to me and it
- 20:29Speaker 3: was why it was going to be. I could have
- 20:32Speaker 3: done the like Ikey shuffle into the end zone and
- 20:36Speaker 3: one of our tight ends.
- 20:37Speaker 2: I want to put him on blast. He missed the block,
- 20:40Speaker 2: and so jam put everybody else on blasts.
- 20:42Speaker 3: Well that's different than when you miss a play. So
- 20:45Speaker 3: JaMarcus had to throw it at my feet and like,
- 20:48Speaker 3: I remember being mad at Jamar, like what do you do?
- 20:50Speaker 2: What you thought?
- 20:50Speaker 3: He's like, because you would have got crushed for a
- 20:52Speaker 3: five yard loss.
- 20:54Speaker 2: He said it in a different way. There was a
- 20:55Speaker 2: couple more choice words because I got choice words too. Yeah,
- 21:00Speaker 2: that was an overtime, I believe, maybe not maybe like
- 21:03Speaker 2: final drive or some There was like a fourth and
- 21:05Speaker 2: one on the goal that they had they this is
- 21:09Speaker 2: a prank call you idiot.
- 21:11Speaker 3: All right, I don't want to talk about that Tennessee
- 21:13Speaker 3: game ever again in my life.
- 21:14Speaker 2: More OTV when we come back. God bless you bench,

- 22:48Speaker 5: Call Chik.
- 22:51Speaker 1: Blocked in on L s U Football twenty four to seven.
- 22:54Speaker 1: You're listening to off the Bench set the same.
- 23:02Speaker 3: Who is the biggest L s U recruit that L
- 23:06Speaker 3: s U missed on that everybody thought was going to
- 23:11Speaker 3: be just doomsday situation and the player didn't turn out
- 23:16Speaker 3: to really be anything.
- 23:18Speaker 4: He was a decent college player, Joe McKnight. Though people
- 23:21Speaker 4: had to melt down and success.
- 23:26Speaker 3: I wasn't like I wouldn't hear like I was. I
- 23:29Speaker 3: was playing. Yeah, we're in the NFL, right.
- 23:33Speaker 2: How much college ball do you watch when you're playing?
- 23:35Speaker 2: Not a lot. I didn't watch. I don't think I
- 23:37Speaker 2: watched only L s U. And I was not like
- 23:40Speaker 2: locked locked in like I am now. I mean, I
- 23:44Speaker 2: had the game on, but like you know, I didn't
- 23:48Speaker 2: know the depth chart, if that's what you're asking.
- 23:49Speaker 6: No.
- 23:50Speaker 2: I knew my buddies who were still on the team,
- 23:53Speaker 2: you know, like Shep and and Perry and T Bob
- 23:56Speaker 2: and people like.
- 23:57Speaker 4: That I watch l S used him his freshman year
- 24:01Speaker 4: was those seven.
- 24:02Speaker 2: Okay, Like I do remember. I do remember that that
- 24:07Speaker 2: fallout though, did we Oh he would have been here
- 24:09Speaker 2: when we were here?
- 24:10Speaker 4: Was what was happening?
- 24:11Speaker 2: Yeah, so that was aast year. I felt like we
- 24:13Speaker 2: were in the NFL already, but I guess not.
- 24:15Speaker 3: I don't know why, Like I don't remember that being
- 24:17Speaker 3: such a I remember it being a huge deal, like
- 24:20Speaker 3: people were like, oh my god, he's got this color shirt.
- 24:23Speaker 5: We just won the national championship and we were training
- 24:26Speaker 5: for combines and like celebrating.
- 24:27Speaker 2: We weren't locked into signing day. I don't know. That
- 24:31Speaker 2: does feel like a big one, Robert Lane feels like
- 24:34Speaker 2: a big one, even though maybe maybe that wasn't because
- 24:38Speaker 2: JaMarcus and you both signed, so l GU fans probably
- 24:40Speaker 2: weren't like completely torn up because you got two quarterbacks.
- 24:44Speaker 5: I wonder if at the time they like told Robert, like, hey,
- 24:52Speaker 5: if JaMarcus signs, you're out type deal, or they just
- 24:56Speaker 5: didn't they felt disrespected because I kept growing.
- 25:01Speaker 3: John David Booty, my high school quarterback, not going to
- 25:05Speaker 3: l s U. And remember John David actually graduated high
- 25:09Speaker 3: school early and went to USC. He was my class,
- 25:13Speaker 3: but we had all taken it, like all of us
- 25:15Speaker 3: took summer school to get ahead, and so he had
- 25:19Speaker 3: enough credit out right, Yeah he did.
- 25:22Speaker 2: He went two rows. I was just thinking, I went
- 25:24Speaker 2: to work done. I've got Well.
- 25:28Speaker 3: If we had that list of like guys that didn't
- 25:30Speaker 3: like ed Reed to be regulating, I'm talking about like
- 25:33Speaker 3: players that got so built up and you're like, oh
- 25:35Speaker 3: my gosh, man, unless you missing this guy, this guy's
- 25:37Speaker 3: going to terrorize l s U for.
- 25:40Speaker 5: Multiple isn't there a kid that of course, Devanta Smith,
- 25:44Speaker 5: but wasn't there another kid from Amy that went to
- 25:45Speaker 5: bandage Ishmael Sopsu.
- 25:47Speaker 2: He was Oh my god.
- 25:50Speaker 4: However, though.
- 25:53Speaker 2: There were forgot, there were some.
- 25:57Speaker 4: People who had issues with him when he was in
- 25:58Speaker 4: high school though.
- 25:59Speaker 2: But I covered there.
- 26:00Speaker 3: I covered their state championship game for CST, and oh
- 26:03Speaker 3: my gosh, Yeah, that's a great one.
- 26:05Speaker 2: That's a good poll. Then you oh that little big kid.
- 26:09Speaker 2: You think about it, it feels like a huge deal.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Twenty fourteen, everybody was it was the underarmmer All American Game,
- 26:15Speaker 4: and everybody's like, Elo, she was going five for five,
- 26:17Speaker 4: Remember five for five on these re crew. Oh yeah, yeah,
- 26:19Speaker 4: you got two for five. And who were the five?
- 26:22Speaker 4: Everybody freaked out? The two you got, Leonard Fournette and
- 26:25Speaker 4: Jamal Adams. The three you missed the one Speedy Noil,
- 26:29Speaker 4: Tony Brown, Gerald Willis. You got the two best to
- 26:32Speaker 4: buy fall.
- 26:32Speaker 2: The only reason I know one of those humans is
- 26:34Speaker 2: because his name is Speedy, right.
- 26:36Speaker 4: I don't even know that he played at an didn't
- 26:39Speaker 4: Tony Brown went to Alabama, he was a corner, didn't
- 26:42Speaker 4: really do anything. And then Gerald Willis bounced around on
- 26:44Speaker 4: like five different teams.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Gunner Kill the guy that did not have the chest
- 26:48Speaker 3: to play at LSU, according to coach Miles.
- 26:51Speaker 2: Didn't have the chest. What about his gate? How was that?
- 26:53Speaker 2: I don't know, but I know about it.
- 26:54Speaker 5: Someone of the chat saying, Eddie Lacy landon Con, I
- 26:58Speaker 5: feel like those guys kind of panned a little bit.
- 26:59Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, we're not talking about guys that that panned out,
- 27:03Speaker 3: like Eddie Lacy played a long time in the NFL.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Lane and Collins played a long time in the NFL. Like,
- 27:08Speaker 2: not those guys we're talking I'm talking about like guys
- 27:10Speaker 2: that like, oh, did not turn into the players. Berlin, Yeah,
- 27:14Speaker 2: I mean Brockett.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Like Brock played in the NFL, so it's hard to
- 27:17Speaker 3: say like he didn't turn into anything. He won an
- 27:18Speaker 3: Orange Bowl as the starting quarterback in Miami. But I
- 27:21Speaker 3: do understand, like to what the height of like Brock,
- 27:25Speaker 3: Berlin has a day in shree boards brought Berlin day.
- 27:28Speaker 3: He was a Gatorade National Player of the Year, USA
- 27:31Speaker 3: Today Player of the Year. That was, like I had
- 27:35Speaker 3: no idea I was. I was a freshman, Like I
- 27:37Speaker 3: had no idea like recruiting or like like not going.
- 27:40Speaker 5: To l It was the greatest football player to ever play.
- 27:42Speaker 5: A lot of people I thought in high school, I
- 27:44Speaker 5: thought he was better than Troy.
- 27:45Speaker 2: A lot of people like You're not the only person
- 27:48Speaker 2: I've heard say that. I mean, he was so good.
- 27:50Speaker 3: But I didn't understand a guy like that not going
- 27:54Speaker 3: to LSU at the time, Like I just didn't know
- 27:56Speaker 3: he's going to Florida Steve Spurry or the football.
- 27:59Speaker 2: Okay, it makes sense whatever. Yeah, I'm sure that one
- 28:01Speaker 2: did hurt and there was a look there was my
- 28:03Speaker 2: high school.
- 28:05Speaker 3: My high school has had a lot of players that
- 28:08Speaker 3: did not go to l s U. You had, you know,
- 28:12Speaker 3: Abram and Josh Boody went to l s U. Certainly
- 28:14Speaker 3: some peaks and valleys there on the field and from
- 28:18Speaker 3: the fan base. Now, they had some great times. I
- 28:20Speaker 3: mean Josh was was all SEC one year. Abram certainly
- 28:23Speaker 3: had big moments in an l s U uniform. But
- 28:26Speaker 3: like you had, like there was a long period of
- 28:28Speaker 3: time where guys from my high school did not work
- 28:30Speaker 3: out at LSU.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Yeah, which actually a lot.
- 28:33Speaker 5: Which evangel players had ended up having a good NFL career.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Besides yourself. It's a great question.
- 28:45Speaker 3: Yeah, uh, I know, I know I'm missing somebody. I
- 28:52Speaker 3: think there's some because I think there's somebody now that
- 28:54Speaker 3: plays for the Ravens for.
- 28:57Speaker 2: A long time. In the chat, great question. I'm gonna
- 28:59Speaker 2: look at up. While you're talking.
- 29:00Speaker 5: In the chat, people are bringing up Dylan Moses as well,
- 29:04Speaker 5: but injuries kind of were a big big issue there,
- 29:08Speaker 5: don't know. It's a great dude though, Yeah, super great guy.
- 29:12Speaker 2: He actually is training people at elite. Yeah, I know
- 29:15Speaker 2: over there with its week. Nice let's go remember great
- 29:18Speaker 2: game before. Wish him nothing but success. His brother now
- 29:22Speaker 2: playing for l s U.
- 29:25Speaker 3: All right, I'm gonna look this up because Trent Taylor
- 29:28Speaker 3: Evangel guy was still like bouncing sack and forth. Yeah,
- 29:33Speaker 3: the attack and then for the forty nine ers for
- 29:34Speaker 3: a while, Trent Taylor shout.
- 29:36Speaker 2: Out, So Evangels a bunch of system players. Over there's
- 29:43Speaker 2: car Darius Washington is the player from evangel that plays
- 29:46Speaker 2: corner for the Ravens.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Uh he is in his fourth season. That's such somebody else,
- 29:51Speaker 3: that's a great question. I need to do some research
- 29:54Speaker 3: on that.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Used some research, but uh, yes, we were system players, absolutely, dude.
- 30:00Speaker 2: We were throwing the football before anybody else did. Now
- 30:03Speaker 2: I'm not saying like we didn't have talent.
- 30:05Speaker 3: We obviously did, but we were five wide when y'all
- 30:08Speaker 3: were in the wing team.
- 30:09Speaker 5: Not only were all five wide, Brock was at least
- 30:14Speaker 5: seven yards back from the center. Oh, it was taking
- 30:16Speaker 5: a five to seven step drop from there. He was
- 30:18Speaker 5: throwing the ball from ten to twelve yards behind the line.
- 30:21Speaker 2: Of It was like a nine yard shotgun.
- 30:22Speaker 3: Because we didn't have the offensive line to be able
- 30:24Speaker 3: to block, and we had quarterbacks that could make every throw,
- 30:26Speaker 3: so it just made sense. But we also had coaches
- 30:29Speaker 3: that were like former college coordinators, like in places like
- 30:34Speaker 3: Uel Monroe and Losing a tech but still like college coordinators,
- 30:37Speaker 3: coaching high school and being our coordinators then like our
- 30:40Speaker 3: receivers coach my junior year was once the offensive coordinator
- 30:44Speaker 3: Louisian Tech the receivers coach. So you paired that together
- 30:48Speaker 3: with the system and coaches.
- 30:49Speaker 5: I saw firsthand in Tyler, Texas. We went my family
- 30:54Speaker 5: went to watch in the Tyler Rose Bowl, John Tyler
- 30:58Speaker 5: play Evangelis. This is nineteen ninety nine or two thousand,
- 31:01Speaker 5: I can't remember, but this is John Tyler who had
- 31:04Speaker 5: won the Texas five A state championship like five times
- 31:08Speaker 5: in the nineties. It's like that that famous high school
- 31:10Speaker 5: clip of Plano East versus John Tyler, like the good gosh,
- 31:13Speaker 5: how Mine Friday and like the guy that melts down
- 31:16Speaker 5: because I can throw up. We should throw that clip
- 31:19Speaker 5: on today during the show. But so they're but they're playing.
- 31:23Speaker 5: They The only pass that John Tyler ever did was
- 31:26Speaker 5: like a three step dump to the tight end, like
- 31:29Speaker 5: the dump route, like you're throwing it straight to the
- 31:31Speaker 5: tight end before he gets to the linebackers.
- 31:34Speaker 2: That's the only pass they ever did. And so they
- 31:36Speaker 2: running like scout.
- 31:37Speaker 5: They were in wide toss like the quarterback will turning
- 31:39Speaker 5: like underhand spiral, toss it out wide to the They
- 31:42Speaker 5: would play like nine running backs in a game.
- 31:44Speaker 2: Say, oh, they had so many athletes. They were just fast.
- 31:46Speaker 5: They beat everybody of the edge, and they won so
- 31:48Speaker 5: many state championships. So can you imagine that's your offense?
- 31:51Speaker 5: That's what you know. And then Evangel comes in, Yeah,
- 31:55Speaker 5: throwing the ball. It's like the scene for.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Remember the Titans when they play that one shotgun team.
- 31:59Speaker 2: It was like, what do we do?
- 32:01Speaker 5: We've never seen this before, we don't even know, didn't
- 32:04Speaker 5: even know this existed. We destroyed them. He threw for
- 32:07Speaker 5: over three hundred yards in the first half.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Yeah, we ran the same system that we ran in
- 32:11Speaker 3: San Diego and North Like we ran a West Coast
- 32:14Speaker 3: kind of number system.
- 32:15Speaker 2: Those principles though in high school when literally.
- 32:19Speaker 3: Nobody was doing that, and you know, eventually, once people
- 32:23Speaker 3: started to catch up, it was more difficult. But then
- 32:26Speaker 3: Evangel got better players and then they kind of could
- 32:28Speaker 3: still compete, and then we kind of changed it up
- 32:30Speaker 3: my junior and senior year. We went to more of
- 32:32Speaker 3: a pro style offense where we were throwing the football,
- 32:36Speaker 3: but we did some under the center stuff.
- 32:37Speaker 2: But yeah, Evangel was dominant because.
- 32:39Speaker 3: They had really good quarterbacks, really good coaches, and a
- 32:43Speaker 3: really good scheme and in the beginning of the process.
- 32:45Speaker 5: Kobe Reynolds and the chat says, wrong, he was eleven
- 32:48Speaker 5: yards deep.
- 32:48Speaker 2: He might have been eleven. I mean, he might be right.
- 32:51Speaker 2: It was aunt.
- 32:54Speaker 3: Our center. Let's see, was that Craig Desta I think
- 32:58Speaker 3: was his name. You have to snap like this, No, yeah,
- 33:01Speaker 3: it was. It was like a deep snap. I was
- 33:03Speaker 3: literally about to say that. It was pretty much like
- 33:05Speaker 3: he was throwing it back there to the punter because
- 33:06Speaker 3: the punters at fifteen, you got the bomb squad in
- 33:11Speaker 3: front of you, hold long enough until Brock can throw
- 33:14Speaker 3: this ten yard out route, which is really about a
- 33:17Speaker 3: twenty three yard I.
- 33:18Speaker 5: Can just see a high school like seventy five year
- 33:21Speaker 5: old ref out there. The first game he sees it
- 33:24Speaker 5: in Texas, Louisiana comes in. It's just like that scene
- 33:27Speaker 5: we talked about yesterday from semi pro first play penalty, no, no,
- 33:33Speaker 5: two penalties.
- 33:34Speaker 2: I don't even know what this says.
- 33:35Speaker 5: You can't line up that deep in the offense just
- 33:38Speaker 5: like that, Like, what the hell is going on? There
- 33:41Speaker 5: has to be something illegal happening with this offense. Can
- 33:44Speaker 5: you imagine you've been reffing, yeah games where there's one
- 33:49Speaker 5: or two passes a game, and that comes to town
- 33:51Speaker 5: and comes forty five. There's got to be a rule
- 33:53Speaker 5: that outlaws this.
- 33:55Speaker 2: All right, we'll take a break. More OTB when we
- 33:57Speaker 2: come back on the other side the bench. All right.

- 36:14Speaker 3: Bark Berlin played two seasons. Conte Dawson played seven seasons.
- 36:23Speaker 3: I played six, not the long list. I thought I
- 36:26Speaker 3: was gonna find Joe McKnight did go to Evangel speaking
- 36:30Speaker 3: of Joem and I here in Katrina for like three games,
- 36:34Speaker 3: really yeah, like three games.
- 36:36Speaker 2: I didnt went back to New Orleans? Did he claim him? No?
- 36:39Speaker 2: I played for John Curtis? Was that? Was there a
- 36:44Speaker 2: lot of people that played for other teams during that time?
- 36:47Speaker 2: I don't, I don't, I don't know I was here.
- 36:48Speaker 2: I wouldn't worried about it. Angel, that's a good point.
- 36:52Speaker 3: We were worried about having some of my roommate's family
- 36:55Speaker 3: members having to stay with us because they didn't have
- 36:56Speaker 3: anywhere to go.
- 36:58Speaker 2: Yeah, wild time.
- 37:00Speaker 5: I remember practicing on the practice field, and Miles and
- 37:06Speaker 5: all the coaches like saying, hey, once we go on
- 37:08Speaker 5: the practice field, like we know, there's a lot happening.
- 37:11Speaker 2: This is crazy situation.
- 37:12Speaker 5: Like once we crossed those white lines, focus on practice
- 37:16Speaker 5: and don't look up. Because you looked up there was
- 37:20Speaker 5: like twenty black Hawk helicopters apparently metavas going to the
- 37:25Speaker 5: I mean there was something. There was stuff all over
- 37:26Speaker 5: our head the whole time that I just don't look up.
- 37:28Speaker 5: Let's just two hours and after that, we're going to
- 37:31Speaker 5: go bring supplies of the p MAC. We're gonna go
- 37:33Speaker 5: do all the things that we need to do to
- 37:35Speaker 5: help and stay safe protected. But don't look up. It
- 37:41Speaker 5: was a huh you looked up, didn't you. Oh, no
- 37:43Speaker 5: doubt for sure. That's how you remember how many.
- 37:46Speaker 2: Were up there.
- 37:46Speaker 3: You remember that practice the night like basically the hurricane
- 37:49Speaker 3: was hitting and we were all back home and we
- 37:51Speaker 3: had to come back home.
- 37:54Speaker 2: You know, it was like zombie apocalypse. I was the
- 37:56Speaker 2: only person going south on I forty nine, and I
- 37:58Speaker 2: got stopped like ten times, like sir, what are you doing?
- 38:01Speaker 3: Play Elasua football coach that we got you back? And
- 38:03Speaker 3: I got ten times. But then we got back and
- 38:06Speaker 3: it's like all right, we got to practice. We're in
- 38:08Speaker 3: the indoor and you could just hear the win and
- 38:11Speaker 3: things just like slamming into the indoor and we're sitting there.
- 38:15Speaker 3: You remember we had the like those generator lights that
- 38:19Speaker 3: were brought into the indoor because the power was out.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Kind a wild time to be practicing football. Get ready
- 38:25Speaker 2: for a football game? Yeah, during an actual hurricane, actual
- 38:31Speaker 2: like real life, Like football doesn't matter at that point, right,
- 38:36Speaker 2: but like real life stuff happening directly across the street,
- 38:40Speaker 2: real life like tragedies, heartbreak.
- 38:44Speaker 5: And just like all that stuff happening. And you know
- 38:47Speaker 5: at the time, you're like football doesn't matter, like with
- 38:49Speaker 5: all this stuff's going on. Like I remember after we
- 38:54Speaker 5: won that first game at Arizona State, and as trivial
- 38:59Speaker 5: as sports were at that time, it was how many
- 39:02Speaker 5: people did we like comes to us or hear from
- 39:05Speaker 5: They were like, man and a time where everything was disastrous.
- 39:10Speaker 5: You know, we lost everything we have, we lost people
- 39:12Speaker 5: or whatever it is. It's like at least y'all, I
- 39:14Speaker 5: got to put a smile on my face for a
- 39:16Speaker 5: little while.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Just for that which was you know, power sport.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Though we uh we made it interesting in Tempe, Arizona
- 39:27Speaker 3: that day as well.
- 39:29Speaker 5: What a throw one of the most underappreciated throws, Marcus
- 39:35Speaker 5: Rolling left slinging that thing. Yep, glad they didn't review
- 39:41Speaker 5: it ain't have review. Thank god.
- 39:45Speaker 2: It was closed. Maybe the angles would have been off,
- 39:48Speaker 2: but I do not know. All right, we will take
- 39:52Speaker 2: a break, we'll play a little catch up.
- 39:53Speaker 3: But before we do, as we've talked about this week,
- 39:56Speaker 3: we are fired up to have Golf Coast Office products
