- 0:14Speaker 4: Oh by Sam, how are you lovely?
- 0:17Speaker 3: Thank you for having me, Thanks for being here.
- 0:19Speaker 4: So this new show, it's all about, you know, starting
- 0:23Speaker 4: an AFL club and apparently you tried to pursue an
- 0:28Speaker 4: AFL career show is this Are you doing this show
- 0:33Speaker 4: now because it's the closest you're going to get to playing.
- 0:37Speaker 3: Amy?
- 0:38Speaker 2: That's not even massive aggressive, straight up aggressive, straight up rude,
- 0:44Speaker 2: true mate, How how far did you get with trying
- 0:47Speaker 2: to do our career?
- 0:48Speaker 5: So I think if you think about there's a scene,
- 0:53Speaker 5: you know, with the players we watch on the Telly,
- 0:56Speaker 5: you know, we'll go to the games there senior team,
- 0:59Speaker 5: then there's the reserves and then the thirds team. The
- 1:02Speaker 5: thirds is what I played at AFL level one hundred
- 1:06Speaker 5: years ago, and Amy's right, did not come close.
- 1:12Speaker 2: I mean thirds, It's not the worst thing in the world. Hey,
- 1:14Speaker 2: I'm speaking of the AFL. It's the fight m n
- 1:16Speaker 2: D around this weekend. The Big Freeze is happening on Monday.
- 1:21Speaker 2: You know, Neil dana Her passing away as a Victorian,
- 1:24Speaker 2: that would he hit quite hard for you mate.
- 1:26Speaker 5: Yeah, So I got to know Neil quite well over
- 1:29Speaker 5: the last ten ten years or so, which is amazing
- 1:32Speaker 5: considering he was diagnosed I think about eleven or twelve
- 1:35Speaker 5: years ago and not given you know, as much time.
- 1:37Speaker 5: So he was Yeah, he was just genuinely all the
- 1:42Speaker 5: plaudit's in the and all the nice things everyone is
- 1:44Speaker 5: saying about him, that's just all true.
- 1:46Speaker 3: And what a yeah, what a man he was. And
- 1:49Speaker 3: I'll miss him.
- 1:50Speaker 2: And we got our and our role player gi ar Row.
- 1:52Speaker 2: It's going to be involved as well.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Knowing Neil for that long, Like, what advice would you
- 1:56Speaker 1: give to someone like Ji who's now just starting to
- 1:59Speaker 1: deal with it.
- 2:01Speaker 5: Well, yeah, I think if you could handle yourself with
- 2:04Speaker 5: the grace and the courage that Neil did, which I'm
- 2:08Speaker 5: sure Joe's doing as well, then I you know, I
- 2:10Speaker 5: think that's that's probably the best philosophy to take, because yeah,
- 2:14Speaker 5: I don't know, I don't know if the other there's
- 2:15Speaker 5: what's what's the alternative?
- 2:17Speaker 3: You know, Neil was very.
- 2:18Speaker 5: Very brave and out there and you know, just front
- 2:22Speaker 5: foot of the whole thing and and has kind of
- 2:25Speaker 5: created this wonderful thing where they raise money every year.
- 2:27Speaker 3: So yeah, mate, long.
- 2:28Speaker 1: Continued, Yeah, Sam. Also, the logis are coming up, and
- 2:32Speaker 1: you're you're not involved at all this year? Are you
- 2:34Speaker 1: going to go?
- 2:36Speaker 3: Well, Brooklyn, if I'm invited, I'll.
- 2:38Speaker 1: Go invited you.
- 2:41Speaker 3: No, I don't hope.
- 2:42Speaker 5: I don't think invites are out yet or nominations for
- 2:44Speaker 5: shows or stuff like that. But no, I'm not hosting.
- 2:46Speaker 5: I toasted for the last three years and made a
- 2:48Speaker 5: wonderful time and you know, it's three seemed about a
- 2:52Speaker 5: nice number, and so hopefully I get to go along
- 2:54Speaker 5: this year and just you know, get drinking.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Really, you did a fantastic job of the life I've
- 3:00Speaker 4: I've gone for the last two years, even though I
- 3:02Speaker 4: have nothing to do with TV. I just show up
- 3:05Speaker 4: and like dress like I am on TV. But you've
- 3:07Speaker 4: done a fantastic job.
- 3:09Speaker 3: Is there?
- 3:09Speaker 4: If you could nominate anybody to host the logis this year,
- 3:13Speaker 4: who would you throw up there? Obviously someone who's not
- 3:16Speaker 4: as good as you?
- 3:17Speaker 1: Yeah, you were, You were the best.
- 3:19Speaker 5: It's so good I could comfortably say there are so
- 3:22Speaker 5: many people that could do it and you know, some
- 3:25Speaker 5: of them are friends like I think Kiddy Flanagan around
- 3:27Speaker 5: Edmonds or Tim McDonald and nel brace Will from the
- 3:30Speaker 5: Cheap Seats.
- 3:31Speaker 3: Yeah, you know that'll be.
- 3:33Speaker 5: That'll be great, But I am I am generally looking
- 3:36Speaker 5: forward to to uh, you know, just relaxing.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I reckon we go old school, bring him like a
- 3:42Speaker 2: rond of Birchmore or something like that. Hey mate, before
- 3:46Speaker 2: we let you go ground up? So is this your
- 3:49Speaker 2: first acting? And what's harder? Doing stand up, hosting logan
- 3:53Speaker 2: stuff like that or acting? Is it kind of really hard?
- 3:57Speaker 5: This is the clearly the hardest thing I've ever done.
- 3:59Speaker 5: I had to remember, but I do remember lines, So
- 4:02Speaker 5: this is you know, it was fun to do. I'm
- 4:06Speaker 5: really happy I did it, But it is the first,
- 4:09Speaker 5: the first real acting I've done other than I think
- 4:11Speaker 5: I did a day on fisk on Kitty's Show and
- 4:14Speaker 5: single Handley almost brought that wonderful.
- 4:18Speaker 2: Tell us with learning the lines, actually, because I've often
- 4:21Speaker 2: thought about that. I mean, I haven't done any acting
- 4:23Speaker 2: since I was like a kid in a play at
- 4:24Speaker 2: school or whatever. I remember practicing with my mum. How
- 4:27Speaker 2: did you practice your lines?
- 4:28Speaker 5: Like?
- 4:29Speaker 2: Who went through it with you? How do you remember them?
- 4:32Speaker 2: Do you do it the night before?
- 4:33Speaker 4: Are you taking double the amount of creatine keep your brain?
- 4:37Speaker 5: Well, it's a great question. I did ask many people
- 4:41Speaker 5: for their advice. Some said record the line, someone said
- 4:45Speaker 5: write them out, someone said get you know, practice them
- 4:48Speaker 5: saying out loud. And it's just I don't know what
- 4:50Speaker 5: the I don't know what the secret is. I think
- 4:52Speaker 5: if we get to do season two, I'll come up
- 4:54Speaker 5: with something else. But to see you what, Amy is
- 4:57Speaker 5: a very very She's a natural you.
- 5:00Speaker 2: Okay, you're acting right now.
- 5:03Speaker 3: You are currently acting like you're having a good time
- 5:05Speaker 3: right now.
- 5:06Speaker 4: I'm having a good time.
- 5:08Speaker 2: So there we go. That's a nice tick.
- 5:10Speaker 3: Well.
