- 1:41Speaker 1: if you could help us, that would be so awesome
- 1:43Speaker 1: and so thank you in heavy thank you and so
- 1:48Speaker 1: as ever, Beatrice, I'd like to ask you, after watching
- 1:51Speaker 1: the most recent episode of platfill, what are some of
- 1:55Speaker 1: your takeaways.
- 1:56Speaker 2: I was loving Mike and Veronica's couples therapists. Oh oh yeah,
- 2:01Speaker 2: she was reading Veronica based filth so based loved her,
- 2:06Speaker 2: want more of her?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Yes, And my takeaway is that in that same therapist session,
- 2:13Speaker 1: my hate for Veronica grew. And do you know, previous
- 2:15Speaker 1: to this, I didn't think it could grow. I thought
- 2:18Speaker 1: I was at maximum capacity for that twat but nope,
- 2:22Speaker 1: I hated her more because she looks right into the camera,
- 2:25Speaker 1: She looks right at Micah, she looks right at the therapist,
- 2:28Speaker 1: and she just smiles as she says, I love being hateful. Yeah,
- 2:31Speaker 1: I love being an absolute See you next Tuesday, and
- 2:34Speaker 1: I don't care who I hurt.
- 2:35Speaker 2: She literally says it feels good, feels good to hurt Micah.
- 2:39Speaker 1: And so I was like, are we watching somebody with
- 2:42Speaker 1: a debilitating personality disorder on our television? I know, but
- 2:47Speaker 1: I often edited out for YouTube. But are we literally
- 2:51Speaker 1: just allowing ourselves to become like Turbo enraged by somebody
- 2:56Speaker 1: who maybe can't help the fact that they're broken, irravicable
- 3:00Speaker 1: in their inner world, that their brain is fucking broken,
- 3:03Speaker 1: and that their only option left is to be an
- 3:05Speaker 1: abusive piece of shit on planet Earth?
- 3:07Speaker 3: Is that what we're doing?
- 3:08Speaker 1: Yeah, sign me up.
- 3:10Speaker 3: That was my takeaway, beatrue Man based.
- 3:14Speaker 1: All right, So, without any further ado, let's get into
- 3:17Speaker 1: this week's recap of Welcome to Plath Bill season seven,
- 3:21Speaker 1: Episode seven seven, entitled.
- 3:24Speaker 2: The House Guests. I don't know who that's referring to
- 3:28Speaker 2: Zach and Lydia at Micah and Veronica. Yes, okay, I guess.
- 3:32Speaker 1: And maybe it's Zach coming to live with Barry.
- 3:33Speaker 2: I don't know. Well, that's where we start the episode.
- 3:36Speaker 2: We have Zach coming down from Colorado. Lydia helped him
- 3:40Speaker 2: move all of his shit down to Georgia. He's moving
- 3:43Speaker 2: into the Plath family home. He's moving into Isaac's old
- 3:46Speaker 2: room up in the attic, and so Isaac is there
- 3:49Speaker 2: as well. He helped clean out that room. I guess
- 3:52Speaker 2: he moved into Mariah's old room, and so everybody's moving
- 3:55Speaker 2: Zach up on in the house and we have like
- 3:58Speaker 2: a little interstitial with Isaac. We haven't heard too much
- 4:02Speaker 2: from in this season really, like we've seen him with
- 4:05Speaker 2: his pooky bear and everything, but that's about it. And
- 4:08Speaker 2: this is where he expresses his feelings about Zach. He
- 4:11Speaker 2: doesn't really know him. He thinks that Zach is a
- 4:13Speaker 2: little pushy, a little bossy, and he's a little worried
- 4:17Speaker 2: about it, but he's like hoping for the.
- 4:19Speaker 1: Best, right And I was just wondering if maybe there
- 4:24Speaker 1: were some things that we didn't see from the day
- 4:27Speaker 1: of his proposal. I thought that too, because I know
- 4:30Speaker 1: Ethan and Micah and even Veronica were co signing that
- 4:34Speaker 1: Zach was very controlling, very exacting. It was getting on
- 4:38Speaker 1: their nerves. So maybe there's like a bit more that
- 4:40Speaker 1: he was doing. And even when he's upstairs in his
- 4:44Speaker 1: new room with Lydia and she's so excited and they're
- 4:48Speaker 1: talking as they're sitting on the bed and she cuts
- 4:51Speaker 1: him off at some point like the way he pulls
- 4:54Speaker 1: himself back and looks at her and kind of chuckles
- 4:58Speaker 1: a little bit, and then she's like, what what did
- 5:00Speaker 1: I do? And I was like, hmmmm, the energy shift
- 5:05Speaker 1: in him because he got annoyed that she spoke for him.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I was like, ooh, misogyny alert. That's what I've been
- 5:12Speaker 1: miss misogyny alert.
- 5:14Speaker 2: And I've been sus of Zach from day one, and
- 5:17Speaker 2: I know it wasn't popular at first, but like, now
- 5:19Speaker 2: we're starting to see these little things. And I was
- 5:21Speaker 2: wondering the same thing because Isaac said that he was
- 5:24Speaker 2: pushy and bossy. He also said he doesn't think that
- 5:27Speaker 2: he puts lydia first, which I thought was really interesting
- 5:31Speaker 2: to point out. And I'm like, what are we not seeing?
- 5:33Speaker 1: We're not seeing something because certainly it wasn't just engagement day,
- 5:37Speaker 1: because clearly Zach was trying to put lydia first and
- 5:41Speaker 1: create like a beautiful, magical experience. Maybe there's just other
- 5:46Speaker 1: things that are happening behind the scenes that were not
- 5:49Speaker 1: privy to but yeah, Isaac seems to have a healthy
- 5:52Speaker 1: dose of suspicion yep, when it comes to Zach. And
- 5:55Speaker 1: so I'm kind of agreeing with him a little bit.
- 5:57Speaker 1: But you know what, Zach's a young kid, and Zach's
- 6:01Speaker 1: probably never been in a relationship in his entire life.
- 6:04Speaker 1: I mean, he says he has okay with his hand.
- 6:09Speaker 1: I'm sorry, but like, I just don't know how much
- 6:11Speaker 1: of an experienced person he is, so he might not
- 6:14Speaker 1: know how to be in a relationship. But yeah, a
- 6:19Speaker 1: little worried for Lydia.
- 6:20Speaker 2: And it's like, at first, when the season started, we
- 6:23Speaker 2: had a lot of the criticism of Zach coming from
- 6:26Speaker 2: Ethan and his big dumb caveman brain of.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Just o are you gay?
- 6:30Speaker 2: Are you queer? And so it's like, of course, you
- 6:32Speaker 2: don't want to take that seriously because it's just so stupid.
- 6:35Speaker 2: But then it's like, then you have the sentiment coming
- 6:37Speaker 2: from Micah, and then you have some of it coming
- 6:40Speaker 2: from Kim, who also who cares some but then you
- 6:44Speaker 2: have it coming from Amber and Isaac, and so it's like, Okay,
- 6:48Speaker 2: if enough people are expressing some reservations about this guy,
- 6:51Speaker 2: like maybe we need to listen to it. I'm seeing
- 6:53Speaker 2: a lot of discourse online being like nobody should be
- 6:56Speaker 2: critical of Zach. He's so nice, and I'm like, yeah,
- 6:58Speaker 2: but this is still an edited TV show. Are we
- 7:01Speaker 2: just gonna trust him? And maybe he like, maybe he's
- 7:03Speaker 2: not terrible, but maybe he's not the best either. I
- 7:07Speaker 2: don't know.
- 7:08Speaker 1: Yeah, And I would like to say that I trust
- 7:11Speaker 1: Lydia's judgment, but I don't exactly. And it's not because
- 7:15Speaker 1: she's a bad person. It's just that she's a very naive,
- 7:19Speaker 1: guileless person who hasn't really experienced much of the world
- 7:23Speaker 1: outside of her various and sundry mission trips. But that's
- 7:26Speaker 1: not the real world, honey. No, so you don't have
- 7:29Speaker 1: like a good sampling of actual people that share the
- 7:31Speaker 1: planet with you. And so, yeah, I'm a little I'm
- 7:33Speaker 1: a little worried. And it's very fast, obviously, but she's
- 7:37Speaker 1: gonna do it, she is. Nobody's gonna stop her. No,
- 7:40Speaker 1: so we've got Zach for a little while at least.
- 7:42Speaker 2: Oh, definitely. And then Zach makes a comment before we
- 7:45Speaker 2: move on to the next scene, saying that him and
- 7:47Speaker 2: Lydia have been moving so fast that they haven't had
- 7:50Speaker 2: time to breathe and they think this is after she
- 7:53Speaker 2: cut him off a little bit and he gave her
- 7:54Speaker 2: that look and he's like, no, like, I'm not mad
- 7:56Speaker 2: at her or anything. It's just, you know, it's been
- 7:59Speaker 2: a lot, and like I like to talk too, and
- 8:01Speaker 2: you know, we just have been doing too much. We
- 8:03Speaker 2: just need time to breathe. And I'm like, okay, but
- 8:07Speaker 2: they just traveled from Colorado to Georgia in a car together,
- 8:12Speaker 2: so they've just spent like three days on the road
- 8:14Speaker 2: or whatever, right, and so they it's probably okay that
- 8:17Speaker 2: he just needs a little bit of a breather totally.
- 8:20Speaker 2: But I'm like, this is all Buyer doing. Though you
- 8:22Speaker 2: wanted to for month, made the choice, Yep, this is
- 8:24Speaker 2: your choice. So this is what you don't get, right,
- 8:28Speaker 2: And then we switch gears and we go to kind
- 8:30Speaker 2: of the meat of the episode, which is Micah and
- 8:33Speaker 2: Veronica going to couples therapy. And this was like so
- 8:38Speaker 2: wild because we started off with Micah Sweet Micah just
- 8:43Speaker 2: saying I feel like I'm going to therapy because I
- 8:46Speaker 2: actually want to be a better Micah for Veronica. I
- 8:48Speaker 2: want to be a better person. I want to work
- 8:50Speaker 2: on myself. But I don't feel like Veronica is going
- 8:53Speaker 2: to therapy for that same reason. I feel like she's
- 8:56Speaker 2: just wanting me to think and act more like her
- 9:01Speaker 2: and what she wants me to be. And so I
- 9:03Speaker 2: don't know if we're going to have like a very
- 9:05Speaker 2: successful or productive therapy session. And well, I behold, he's right.
- 9:10Speaker 1: Yeah, And to me, this is a great demonstration of
- 9:13Speaker 1: Micah's actual emotional intelligence. He's very insightful. He might not
- 9:18Speaker 1: be an educated man, and yes he's made his mistakes,
- 9:21Speaker 1: but I feel like he's showing up to this therapy
- 9:24Speaker 1: session giving it his best effort.
- 9:27Speaker 2: Yep.
- 9:27Speaker 1: For some reason that I do not understand in my
- 9:31Speaker 1: fucking brain ball, he loves this monster of a person
- 9:35Speaker 1: and he's trying to make this work. And so he's
- 9:38Speaker 1: showing up and he's being authentic and he's opening his heart.
- 9:42Speaker 1: And the entire time, she's sitting next to him, and
- 9:45Speaker 1: she's just goating him and berating him and degrading him
- 9:51Speaker 1: in front of this therapist. Which is why they say
- 9:54Speaker 1: you can't take a narcissist to therapy, Like there's no
- 9:57Speaker 1: reaching that person. There's such a block in an obstacle
- 10:00Speaker 1: to their actual consciousness, like there's no hope, abandon hope.
- 10:06Speaker 1: All ye who enter into Veronica Peter's orbits because something
- 10:10Speaker 1: is wrong with her and she gets off on belittling
- 10:13Speaker 1: even the therapist talking over the therapist.
- 10:15Speaker 2: I know it's so gross. I just don't understand it.
- 10:19Speaker 2: And like we start off the conversation or the therapy
- 10:21Speaker 2: session with Veronica saying Micah's been looking up pictures of
- 10:27Speaker 2: naked women, naked women that they know, and then the
- 10:29Speaker 2: therapist is like, what do you mean, and she's like, well, Teagan,
- 10:34Speaker 2: who is Ethan's girlfriend, Like I said, she has an
- 10:38Speaker 2: OnlyFans or I think Micah brings it up.
- 10:40Speaker 1: No, it was Veronica who said she saw an article
- 10:44Speaker 1: that indicated that Teagan was an OnlyFans model, causing Micah
- 10:50Speaker 1: to call his brother Ethan and say, hey, Veronica said
- 10:53Speaker 1: that there's an article that says your girlfriend is an
- 10:56Speaker 1: only fans model, And so then they get off the
- 10:59Speaker 1: phone and Micah accept his phone to read the article. Yeah,
- 11:03Speaker 1: to actually look at the source that Veronica cited, to
- 11:06Speaker 1: see what the hell she's talking about, which she purposefully misunderstands,
- 11:11Speaker 1: like she's going out of her way to misunderstand that
- 11:14Speaker 1: looking up the article, to equal that he was looking
- 11:17Speaker 1: up the pictures of Teagan's naked body, which he tries
- 11:21Speaker 1: to explain in the session like absolutely not. I was like,
- 11:24Speaker 1: looking to see if what you told me is true is.
- 11:28Speaker 2: True, because he says that all Veronica does is she'll
- 11:31Speaker 2: say some shit and doesn't fact check it at all.
- 11:34Speaker 2: She says it as if it is true, as if
- 11:37Speaker 2: there is base to it, and then he's trying to
- 11:39Speaker 2: fact check it, and she wants to braid him for that,
- 11:42Speaker 2: and I think he even said that when he called
- 11:44Speaker 2: Ethan to tell him what Veronica told him, Ethan was like, well,
- 11:49Speaker 2: look it up and make sure it's true. And so
- 11:51Speaker 2: that's what Micah did. He wasn't looking it up to
- 11:54Speaker 2: jack off to Teagan's naked photos. He was literally just
- 11:57Speaker 2: trying to make sure what she was saying was true.
- 12:02Speaker 2: But no, Veronica spins it into Mike's a cheater. He
- 12:05Speaker 2: will always be a cheater. He's looking up naked photos
- 12:08Speaker 2: of someone that we know, so therefore he can't be
- 12:12Speaker 2: trusted at all. He can't even be around this woman
- 12:15Speaker 2: ever again because he's just gonna go fuck her like
- 12:18Speaker 2: that's her logic.
- 12:20Speaker 1: Right, And he's been trying to tell everybody like she
- 12:22Speaker 1: just escalates to these absolute irrational proportions and like there's
- 12:26Speaker 1: absolutely no dealing with him, So you can kind of
- 12:29Speaker 1: see how he has turned into this just quiet, beaten down,
- 12:34Speaker 1: broken shell of a person who doesn't have the agency
- 12:38Speaker 1: to like say what he actually feels, and whenever he does,
- 12:41Speaker 1: she just steamrolls him every single time. And again, I
- 12:44Speaker 1: just have to say, I have to speculate, like what's
- 12:47Speaker 1: going on in the house that we're not seeing, because
- 12:50Speaker 1: Veronica seems abusive. She seems like she knows she's abusive.
- 12:54Speaker 1: She seems like she's happy to be an abuser. And
- 12:57Speaker 1: so with a person like that, once the cameras down
- 13:00Speaker 1: and you go back to your new home, which she owns,
- 13:02Speaker 1: what she's working on and probably the reason Kim said
- 13:06Speaker 1: is your name on that? Like why are you working
- 13:08Speaker 1: like a dog to flip this house? Probably when we
- 13:12Speaker 1: go back to that house, what are you actually doing
- 13:15Speaker 1: to Micah? Because I mean, I don't know Micah's authentic,
- 13:21Speaker 1: innate personality other than what we've seen over the seasons,
- 13:25Speaker 1: but it takes quite a bit of browbeating and potential
- 13:29Speaker 1: beating beating to break a man down like that where
- 13:32Speaker 1: he's like unwilling to walk away from you. Yeah, Like
- 13:35Speaker 1: I'm just like, Michael, why aren't you getting up out
- 13:38Speaker 1: of this therapy session and just saying I'm out.
- 13:40Speaker 2: Yeah. It's like he's becoming conscious to the fact that
- 13:43Speaker 2: he's being beat down and that he can't ever win,
- 13:46Speaker 2: because Veronica doesn't want him to ever win or get
- 13:49Speaker 2: a leg up or anything like that. She wants him
- 13:52Speaker 2: to be low down on the ground. She wants him
- 13:55Speaker 2: to be beaten down because she likes that a man
- 13:58Speaker 2: a worm exactly. And like, the therapist tries to call
- 14:02Speaker 2: her out on this, and she's like, well, why aren't
- 14:05Speaker 2: you listening to him when he's trying to say and
- 14:07Speaker 2: explain why he was looking up Teagan's only fans, Like,
- 14:11Speaker 2: he wasn't looking it up to jack off or to
- 14:14Speaker 2: cheat on you. He was just trying to fact check you.
- 14:17Speaker 2: Why can't you hear him? Why can't you believe him?
- 14:19Speaker 2: And then Veronica's like, well, but I can't trust him,
- 14:22Speaker 2: And the therapist is like, okay, then why are you
- 14:25Speaker 2: even here? Like why are we here for this? And
- 14:28Speaker 2: Veronica's like, well, but I love him, and I think
- 14:30Speaker 2: that Mike's a good guy and he's got a good
- 14:33Speaker 2: heart and a good soul, and I think he's a
- 14:34Speaker 2: good person. But like, also, I can't trust him because
- 14:37Speaker 2: he's a piece of shit, cheater, Like that's her manipulation.
- 14:40Speaker 2: It's like, give him a little bit, say that he's
- 14:43Speaker 2: a good guy, but then shit all over him because
- 14:46Speaker 2: you're hurt that he cheated on you.
- 14:48Speaker 1: And there was some point, and I don't know if
- 14:50Speaker 1: I'm skipping ahead, but I can't quite keep it all together.
- 14:53Speaker 1: But there's some point where Veronica was addressing the cameras
- 14:56Speaker 1: and she talks about being bullied as a child. Yes,
- 14:59Speaker 1: he and I talked about that. Well, it's not hard.
- 15:01Speaker 1: You don't have to be a psychic on the Internet
- 15:03Speaker 1: to see that this woman has been traumatized and now
- 15:05Speaker 1: she's hurting other people as a result of the trauma.
- 15:08Speaker 1: But she talks about how she wasn't skinny enough, how
- 15:12Speaker 1: she wasn't pretty enough, and how she was not accepted
- 15:16Speaker 1: by her peers. And I'm just like, okay, well I
- 15:20Speaker 1: get it. I feel like a lot of us have
- 15:23Speaker 1: been bullied. Maybe we didn't have a lifetime full of bullying,
- 15:26Speaker 1: but a lot of us have experienced being bullied at
- 15:29Speaker 1: some point in our life. And that's terrible, obviously, but
- 15:34Speaker 1: we don't allow that to then turn us into a
- 15:38Speaker 1: bully to other people. Exactly like a lot of us
- 15:41Speaker 1: hopefully go to therapy and work on ourselves and we realize, well,
- 15:45Speaker 1: bullying's bad, and so therefore I should not be a bully.
- 15:49Speaker 1: And I get that Veronica's young and she hasn't put
- 15:51Speaker 1: all these puzzle pieces together, but there's just this demonic
- 15:56Speaker 1: glee to her, yeah, when she's hurting somebody else. And
- 16:00Speaker 1: I really question the level of abuse and bullying that
- 16:05Speaker 1: she endured, and not so as to question whether she's
- 16:08Speaker 1: telling the truth. I believe her. I wonder, like how
- 16:11Speaker 1: bad that really was. I think it was probably very bad. Yes,
- 16:15Speaker 1: I wonder about her home life. I wonder who defended
- 16:19Speaker 1: young Veronica. But at this point, you're an adult. You
- 16:23Speaker 1: should know better. You don't get a pass for treating
- 16:26Speaker 1: people like an absolute monster, demon, trash bag. You are
- 16:31Speaker 1: a ghoul for how you're treating this young man. You
- 16:33Speaker 1: shouldn't treat a dog like this, or no, of course,
- 16:37Speaker 1: not a dog. You shouldn't treat anything or anybody like this.
- 16:41Speaker 1: And I feel like, from a meta position, I know
- 16:44Speaker 1: I'm going off in a tangent, but like from the
- 16:46Speaker 1: production viewpoint, like looking at Veronica, it almost feels like
- 16:50Speaker 1: she decided a while ago that she wants to be
- 16:53Speaker 1: the villain. Yeah, I want to take on the role
- 16:55Speaker 1: of the bad guy, and I'm going to call the
- 16:57Speaker 1: plaths out and i want to take every single opportun
- 17:00Speaker 1: tunity to be on camera and to shit stir. And
- 17:03Speaker 1: that's kind of why she's doing some of this well.
- 17:06Speaker 2: And I think she thinks that she would get all
- 17:08Speaker 2: the support from like other toxic people who are also
- 17:12Speaker 2: chronically online oh yeah, yeah, and like who were also
- 17:15Speaker 2: like bullied and think that it's okay to treat other
- 17:18Speaker 2: people this way. And like Veronica says some shit in
- 17:21Speaker 2: the therapy session about how she believes in the Golden
- 17:23Speaker 2: rule treat others how you want to be treated or
- 17:26Speaker 2: how they treat you. But I'm like, if you want
- 17:29Speaker 2: to be treated kindly, then treat people with kindness. Why
- 17:33Speaker 2: are we being mean to everybody? Because that's your definition
- 17:36Speaker 2: of the Golden Rule, And like Micah tries to challenge
- 17:39Speaker 2: her on that as somebody who like actually grew up
- 17:42Speaker 2: with the real Golden Rule from the Ten Commandments of
- 17:44Speaker 2: the Bible, where it actually fucking comes from.
- 17:46Speaker 1: It doesn't. That's why Veronica makes fun of him. It
- 17:49Speaker 1: was actually something that Jesus said, so the ten commandments
- 17:52Speaker 1: are from the time of Moses. Well, I meant like
- 17:54Speaker 1: it came from the Bible, comes from the Bible. But
- 17:56Speaker 1: like what she was religious mocking him for was that
- 17:58Speaker 1: he got the scripture wrong. And he's trying to talk
- 18:01Speaker 1: about loving our neighbor as we love ourselves and like
- 18:03Speaker 1: the principle of love. But she's focusing on the fact
- 18:06Speaker 1: that he got something wrong. Yeah, and that he's stupid,
- 18:09Speaker 1: and she's just laughing at him. Yeah, it's gross, it's
- 18:13Speaker 1: so gross, it's super gross. And then she talks about
- 18:16Speaker 1: how she's somebody who is very competitive and gets in
- 18:20Speaker 1: the mud, so she will fight for things and she's
- 18:23Speaker 1: kind of an aggressive person and so she's gonna make
- 18:25Speaker 1: her voice heard or whatever. And so this analogy of
- 18:28Speaker 1: being in the mud comes up in the therapy session,
- 18:32Speaker 1: like as a way of Veronica always just being ready
- 18:36Speaker 1: to fight and like ready to attack, and she doesn't
- 18:39Speaker 1: need to be at that level. She doesn't need to
- 18:41Speaker 1: be defensive, she doesn't need to be mean, she doesn't
- 18:43Speaker 1: need to be angry. You can communicate your hurt feelings
- 18:47Speaker 1: and your anger and a healthy way. We're not hurting
- 18:50Speaker 1: other people as a result. But Veronica can't hear that
- 18:53Speaker 1: because she can't see past her big fucking head and
- 18:56Speaker 1: her big fucking feelings, like it's all just about how
- 18:59Speaker 1: she feel. And she says, well, but I like to
- 19:02Speaker 1: be in the mud, and I like to make people
- 19:03Speaker 1: feel bad because they hurt me. And I do this
- 19:06Speaker 1: to Micah intentionally, on purpose, because I want him to
- 19:10Speaker 1: feel as shitty as he makes me feel. Girl, And
- 19:14Speaker 1: in that moment, it should have been such a huge
- 19:18Speaker 1: moment of clarity for Micah to realize this woman is untreatable,
- 19:24Speaker 1: this woman is potentially evil, and taking it back to scripture,
- 19:28Speaker 1: like the scripture of throwing pearls before swine, this idea
- 19:32Speaker 1: that we're giving the very best of ourselves, the treasure
- 19:35Speaker 1: of ourselves, and we're throwing it to people who are
- 19:38Speaker 1: literal pigs in a pit rolling around in mud, who
- 19:42Speaker 1: don't even understand what pearls are. And Micah, that is
- 19:45Speaker 1: what you're doing. Like, yes, you've made mistakes, and yes
- 19:48Speaker 1: you come from a somewhat problematic family, but like, you're
- 19:52Speaker 1: a good person, you're a kind person, you're a nice
- 19:55Speaker 1: young man. Why are you throwing the very best parts
- 19:59Speaker 1: of you at the feet of this monster who just
- 20:02Speaker 1: wants to laugh at you, wants to make you feel pain.
- 20:06Speaker 2: It's because he feels so guilty. I think he feels
- 20:08Speaker 2: so guilty because part of the reason is because of
- 20:12Speaker 2: Veronica making him feel guilty. But also he knows I
- 20:14Speaker 2: think deep down that cheating on her was super wrong
- 20:17Speaker 2: and it obviously hurt her so badly, and so I
- 20:19Speaker 2: think he's staying out of guilt, which is another like
- 20:22Speaker 2: manipulative tactic, and like I think the therapist tries to
- 20:25Speaker 2: call it out in the session of like why are
- 20:28Speaker 2: you here, Veronica, Like, if you want to be here,
- 20:31Speaker 2: you need to actually try and forgive him. If you
- 20:34Speaker 2: love him, you need to try and forgive him, and
- 20:36Speaker 2: like give each other the space to actually grow from
- 20:39Speaker 2: this and be better. But Veronica doesn't want that. She
- 20:43Speaker 2: says she does, She says she wants to forgive, and
- 20:46Speaker 2: she says she loves him everything. But no, if you
- 20:48Speaker 2: actually did, you would let your guard down and stop
- 20:51Speaker 2: being such a fucking viper to somebody who you claim
- 20:54Speaker 2: to love.
- 20:55Speaker 1: I don't think there's anything under the Veneer here. I
- 20:57Speaker 1: don't think underneath it all she a good person. I
- 21:01Speaker 1: think she's a broken and bad person. I'm like, who's
- 21:05Speaker 1: hiring this woman to help source their homes or sell
- 21:09Speaker 1: their homes? Like, how does she conduct herself in a
- 21:12Speaker 1: professional setting, Because like when we get to the part
- 21:15Speaker 1: with Zach and Lydia and she's just having like a
- 21:17Speaker 1: conversation with Lydia, she's so abnormal, Like the way she
- 21:22Speaker 1: moves her head all the time, and the way she's
- 21:24Speaker 1: like always looking up and talking with her affect. I'm like, yeah,
- 21:28Speaker 1: who's hiring you to do anything? Like you need a
- 21:32Speaker 1: lot of help. But I'm not making fun of her.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I'm just pointing to her mannerisms, her behavior, and the
- 21:38Speaker 1: things that she's actually saying. Like there's something super turbo
- 21:42Speaker 1: troubling about this young woman.
- 21:44Speaker 2: Yeah, it's it's really fucking toxic. And you know what,
- 21:47Speaker 2: speaking of it in our the Year of Our Lord
- 21:50Speaker 2: twenty twenty five, she's got another boyfriend and he looks
- 21:54Speaker 2: like a Temou version of Micah, like total blonde, you know,
- 21:59Speaker 2: surfer whatever. But like, she's got another boyfriend.
- 22:02Speaker 1: I don't believe it.
- 22:03Speaker 2: She posted about him the other day on his breath.
- 22:05Speaker 1: I'm sure I don't believe it. That girl's a liar.
- 22:08Speaker 1: If she does is a terrible person and a liar.
- 22:11Speaker 2: I feel like she's probably got an MO and her
- 22:13Speaker 2: relationships like if she's actually got a personality disorder, if
- 22:18Speaker 2: she's a narc or whatever, Like she lures people in
- 22:22Speaker 2: and then once she gets comfortable with them, then she
- 22:24Speaker 2: lets her shit down and starts being an asshole.
- 22:27Speaker 1: Truly toxic, and she gaslights. I mean, I think that's
- 22:31Speaker 1: why Mike's still here. I think he's so turned around,
- 22:34Speaker 1: like he doesn't know what's right, he doesn't know what's wrong.
- 22:37Speaker 1: All he knows is that he's always wrong, and so
- 22:39Speaker 1: he doesn't want to visit himself on anybody else in
- 22:42Speaker 1: any other relationship. He even says at some point like
- 22:44Speaker 1: I just don't know how to handle women. I just
- 22:47Speaker 1: don't know how to pick women, Like something's wrong with
- 22:49Speaker 1: me because she's gas lamped him so hard that he
- 22:52Speaker 1: doesn't even know who he is.
- 22:54Speaker 2: It's so fucking sad. And then at the end of
- 22:56Speaker 2: the therapy session, she just like gets up and leaves
- 22:58Speaker 2: and doesn't say goodbye to any time and.
- 23:00Speaker 1: Say thank you for the therapy session, doesn't acknowledge what
- 23:03Speaker 1: the therapist was saying right before.
- 23:05Speaker 2: She stood up It kind of reminded me of Mao
- 23:07Speaker 2: from Couple's Therapy with Doctor Horna, which we cover on Patreon.
- 23:11Speaker 2: By the way, you want to go look, it's so good.
- 23:13Speaker 2: But it kind of reminded me of that because he
- 23:15Speaker 2: did that same thing. He would get up in the
- 23:17Speaker 2: middle of a therapy session.
- 23:18Speaker 1: While doctor Ganna is talking to him directly, and he
- 23:21Speaker 1: would start perusing her bookshelves and pulling off like Rubik's
- 23:24Speaker 1: cubes and looking at them while she's trying to address him.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yeah, and that was with Veronica, Like every time the
- 23:29Speaker 2: therapist would try to talk to her, she's like looking
- 23:31Speaker 2: at her shirt or whatever, or like not paying attention
- 23:34Speaker 2: because she's only thinking about her feelings in this because
- 23:38Speaker 2: her feelings are the only valid feelings here, nothing else,
- 23:42Speaker 2: and she doesn't want to listen to the therapist who's
- 23:43Speaker 2: trying to advocate for Like, hey, I get that you're
- 23:47Speaker 2: her person and that you're angry and that you have
- 23:49Speaker 2: a guard up, but like maybe take it down a
- 23:51Speaker 2: few notches and lead with love instead of hatred.
- 23:55Speaker 1: She feels good, she loves it, she loves like I
- 23:59Speaker 1: want like are you a sociopath? Like I mean, I
- 24:02Speaker 1: we're getting into those types of conversations. Veronica, maybe weirdo,
- 24:07Speaker 1: she's a freak dude, sorry but not sorry how I feel.
- 24:11Speaker 2: And then we get to the Platt family farm and
- 24:14Speaker 2: this is where we have a double date between Tagan
- 24:16Speaker 2: and Ethan and Kaylan and Isaac.
- 24:19Speaker 1: I cannot tell Teagan and Caylin apart. I know they
- 24:23Speaker 1: look like the same person. Yeah, they have a very
- 24:25Speaker 1: similar name. I'm like, who are these generic pretty white girls? Exactly,
- 24:30Speaker 1: no personalities.
- 24:32Speaker 2: Not really, who are you? Not really at all. But
- 24:35Speaker 2: they're doing like some dorky little double date between the
- 24:39Speaker 2: two of them. You see Ethan and Isaac like playing
- 24:42Speaker 2: around in the country and they talk about how much
- 24:45Speaker 2: they love being at home in kro and on the farm,
- 24:48Speaker 2: like that's where their heart is. And Ethan talks about
- 24:51Speaker 2: how he gets homesick when he comes down to Georgia
- 24:54Speaker 2: every time he comes back or goes back to Minnesota.
- 24:56Speaker 2: He's like, man, I just wish I could be back
- 24:58Speaker 2: with my family. And it made me one if maybe
- 25:01Speaker 2: that's the reason because Ethan and Tiagan I think are
- 25:05Speaker 2: broken up. Really yes, and the current year of our
- 25:09Speaker 2: Lord really yes, because she doesn't follow him on Instagram anymore.
- 25:13Speaker 1: Oh my got Tea.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Yeah, so, and there's rumors going around. I don't know
- 25:18Speaker 2: if it's true that they have totally broken up.
- 25:21Speaker 1: I was kind of wondering because in this episode he
- 25:23Speaker 1: talks about relocating back down to Georgia, and I'm like,
- 25:26Speaker 1: doesn't he can have a baby.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's up in Wisconsin.
- 25:29Speaker 1: Yeah, so she's probably got a baby daddy. Yeah, so
- 25:32Speaker 1: that baby daddy's probably not going to allow his child
- 25:35Speaker 1: to leave Wisconsin.
- 25:36Speaker 2: So yeah, So I'm wondering if that's maybe the reason
- 25:39Speaker 2: he just wanted to come back to KBrO. I hope
- 25:41Speaker 2: nothing bad happened between the two of them. I think
- 25:43Speaker 2: Tea gets a nice girl. For however boring and generic
- 25:46Speaker 2: she is. I think she's probably nice. I don't wish
- 25:48Speaker 2: anything bad in their relationship. But during this double date,
- 25:52Speaker 2: it was kind of weird because all four of them
- 25:55Speaker 2: paint portraits of each other, and it was like kind
- 25:58Speaker 2: of silly, like whatever. But like Ethan paints a naked
- 26:02Speaker 2: silhouette of Teagan and I'm just like, O, my god.
- 26:05Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:06Speaker 2: A lot of people are giving him flack for that online.
- 26:08Speaker 2: I just think it's kind of cringey to me.
- 26:10Speaker 1: Yeah, what are they giving him flack for, Like he's
- 26:12Speaker 1: a sexual predator.
- 26:13Speaker 2: He's a misogynist and guys, yeah, and I'm just like, Okay,
- 26:17Speaker 2: he's attracted to his woman. It doesn't mean that he's
- 26:19Speaker 2: a misogynist, but like whatever, and he says something to
- 26:23Speaker 2: that effect, like I painted her naked picture because of
- 26:26Speaker 2: all this rumor going around of her having an only fan,
- 26:29Speaker 2: so I just figured i'd play it up on it.
- 26:31Speaker 2: And I don't know. And then we have Isaac painting
- 26:34Speaker 2: pooky Bear Kaylin and then he says that it looks
- 26:37Speaker 2: like a pig because his drawing is so bad, right,
- 26:42Speaker 2: And it was just like it is kind of sweet.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Or it was a quaint little scene with two brothers
- 26:46Speaker 1: and their girlfriends just having a nice night. I mean
- 26:49Speaker 1: it was sweet, but it was kind of giving, like
- 26:51Speaker 1: Olivia and her weird boyfriends. So the last season, I'm like, Okay,
- 26:55Speaker 1: I'm about to snore, I'm about to fall asleep, so
- 26:57Speaker 1: move it along.
- 26:58Speaker 2: Like I literally don't care. The only thing that was
- 27:00Speaker 2: interesting was Teagan talking about the rumor, yeah, that Veronica
- 27:04Speaker 2: has been spreading about her yes having an OnlyFans, and
- 27:07Speaker 2: Teagan straight up says it's kind of interesting that somebody
- 27:10Speaker 2: I've met only once is talking about me posting naked
- 27:14Speaker 2: photos and videos of myself on OnlyFans. It's giving fan behavior,
- 27:18Speaker 2: like girl or you a fan of the show too, though, But.
- 27:22Speaker 1: I still loved it so much. And I also loved
- 27:25Speaker 1: when Kaylin and Teagan were alone in the kitchen, Yes,
- 27:28Speaker 1: and didn't Veronica come up during that scene and they
- 27:31Speaker 1: kind of started laughing about her because Teagan was talking
- 27:34Speaker 1: about having only met her once.
- 27:37Speaker 2: Yeah, it was something like I think Kayln opened up
- 27:39Speaker 2: the conversation with like, you know, how do you like
- 27:41Speaker 2: dating a Plath? And Tegan's like, I love it? And
- 27:43Speaker 2: I think the Plaths get a bad rap, like they're
- 27:45Speaker 2: just a normal family. Every family's dysfunctional. And then I
- 27:48Speaker 2: think Kaylin brought up Veronica, like the first time she
- 27:51Speaker 2: ever met her was at the proposal, and that was
- 27:53Speaker 2: when Veronica was talking shit, trying to talk shit about
- 27:56Speaker 2: the family to Kaitlin. I'm like, Veronica, you were unhinge.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Calm down, just stop it. You don't need to talk
- 28:02Speaker 2: crap about everybody, Like I'm sorry, but Kaylene seems to
- 28:06Speaker 2: lack the family. She seems to like Isaac, Teagan seems
- 28:09Speaker 2: to like the family too, so you're not going to
- 28:11Speaker 2: turn them against the Plaths just because you're bitter, And
- 28:15Speaker 2: I'll keep it to myself. And then we have Lydia
- 28:18Speaker 2: and Zach going down to Boca to visit Micah and
- 28:21Speaker 2: Veronica at their house. I guess they're going to stay
- 28:24Speaker 2: there for like a weekend or whatever to have Zach
- 28:27Speaker 2: get to know Micah and his crazy demonic girlfriend. And
- 28:32Speaker 2: we have Micah literally digging trenches under the house because
- 28:37Speaker 2: their pipes have broken, and rather than hire a plumber,
- 28:41Speaker 2: she's just gonna make Micah do it slave labor, literally,
- 28:44Speaker 2: like do it for free and get under the house
- 28:46Speaker 2: and figure that shit's.
- 28:47Speaker 1: Called sweat equity. I mean, where you work on behalf
- 28:51Speaker 1: of your dwelling. And you would hope that Micah therefore
- 28:54Speaker 1: would have some sort of an interest in the home.
- 28:56Speaker 1: But I don't think that he does.
- 28:58Speaker 2: No. I think he's kind of like Ethan here, where
- 29:02Speaker 2: he's like, I just need to work on something physical
- 29:04Speaker 2: and practical maybe nothing else makes sense in my life.
- 29:07Speaker 2: Like Micah says something like I understand plumbing better than
- 29:10Speaker 2: I understand relationships and understand girls. I think they like
- 29:14Speaker 2: really gravitate towards like physical things to do with their
- 29:17Speaker 2: hands where it can make sense to them. And I
- 29:20Speaker 2: don't think there's anything wrong with that. It just shows
- 29:22Speaker 2: like he's so lost in this relationship. And we have
- 29:27Speaker 2: Veronica saying some bullshit to the camera about after the
- 29:30Speaker 2: therapy session, she realized that she says some things out
- 29:34Speaker 2: of anger that is really mean and hurtful.
- 29:36Speaker 1: I said that last episode, and you said that the
- 29:38Speaker 1: episode before that, and you said that the episode before that.
- 29:41Speaker 1: So when does the change in behavior happen?
- 29:43Speaker 2: Yeah, when do you actually realize that you're venomous and
- 29:48Speaker 2: you're mean and you shouldn't be talking like that to
- 29:50Speaker 2: somebody you proport.
- 29:51Speaker 1: You shouldn't be in a relationship with anybody straight up?
- 29:53Speaker 2: You need like actual intensive therapy for your fucking self,
- 29:56Speaker 2: or like, I don't know, a heroic dose of shrooms
- 29:58Speaker 2: where you can kill that ego of yours because shit.
- 30:01Speaker 1: Your pants and have a transcendent moment.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Actually though, I mean like there's otherwise there's no help
- 30:09Speaker 2: for you, I know, God. And then Micah says that
- 30:13Speaker 2: he's worried about Veronica blowing up in front of his
- 30:16Speaker 2: family again because Lydia and Zach are coming to town,
- 30:19Speaker 2: and I think she ends up doing that. I mean,
- 30:22Speaker 2: I think we're probably gonna continue this scene next episode.
- 30:25Speaker 2: It seems like, I don't know, but we have Zach
- 30:27Speaker 2: coming down and he's in the trenches with Micah.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Which I thought was really cool.
- 30:34Speaker 2: Yeah, he's trying to do bro stuff, brotings.
- 30:37Speaker 1: Yeah, but I did see them talk a little bit
- 30:41Speaker 1: Lydia and Zach about Micah and Ethan sitting him down
- 30:45Speaker 1: to ask a bunch of dumb questions. And I think
- 30:47Speaker 1: Michael also addresses this too. How Ethan and Micah asked
- 30:51Speaker 1: Zach if he was gay, and we get it from
- 30:54Speaker 1: Zach's perspective and he's like, yeah, that was pretty disrespectful.
- 30:57Speaker 1: But I mean, I understand where they're coming from. I'm
- 31:01Speaker 1: not holding any grudges, and so I feel like Zach
- 31:04Speaker 1: really does show up to Boca Raton like with an
- 31:06Speaker 1: open heart, like wanting to connect. He's not holding anything
- 31:10Speaker 1: against Micah, even though I would, Yeah, I would, for sure.
- 31:15Speaker 2: I mean he does say something like I don't have
- 31:17Speaker 2: brothers myself, but I am a brother to two sisters,
- 31:20Speaker 2: and so like I understand their perspective of just like
- 31:23Speaker 2: looking out for Lydia, and they're asking me hard questions,
- 31:26Speaker 2: so like, I'm just gonna give them the benefit benefit
- 31:29Speaker 2: of the doubt. And I think Lydia says something like,
- 31:31Speaker 2: you know, we're here specifically so my brother can like
- 31:34Speaker 2: get to know my fiance, my future husband, and if
- 31:38Speaker 2: he wants to do that, that's great. If he doesn't,
- 31:40Speaker 2: then he's gonna miss out. Like she has a good
- 31:42Speaker 2: level head about it, like she's like, I'm genuinely trying
- 31:45Speaker 2: in the short amount of time to have my family
- 31:48Speaker 2: get to know my new media and if they don't
- 31:50Speaker 2: want to, they don't want to, mm hmm, and that's fair.
- 31:54Speaker 2: And then we have Lydia going off by the pool
- 31:56Speaker 2: with Veronica's mean ass, and then we have Zach and
- 32:00Speaker 2: Micah doing their own thing. And when we have Lydia
- 32:03Speaker 2: and Veronica talking at the pool, Veronica's immediately talking about
- 32:06Speaker 2: the proposal and the wedding and.
- 32:09Speaker 1: Well, but first she has to love bomb Lydia and say,
- 32:13Speaker 1: oh my god, you're like one of the only plaths
- 32:16Speaker 1: that I actually get along with. And the last time
- 32:19Speaker 1: I saw you, I was at your engagement and I
- 32:22Speaker 1: really didn't have a great time, but I was there
- 32:24Speaker 1: for you because I really like you, and I'm like, oh,
- 32:27Speaker 1: you're so toxic. Everything about you is toxic. And you
- 32:30Speaker 1: can kind of see Lydia start to lean back, yeah,
- 32:33Speaker 1: because she's picking up what Veronica's throwing down, and she
- 32:36Speaker 1: says to the camera something like, well, I mean thank you,
- 32:39Speaker 1: but I'm also hearing the insult to my family at
- 32:42Speaker 1: the same time.
- 32:44Speaker 2: Yeah. Well, I'm like, how uncomfortable is that to hear? Like, yeah,
- 32:47Speaker 2: so I only showed up to your engagement because of you,
- 32:49Speaker 2: but like I was like really uncomfortable the whole time there,
- 32:52Speaker 2: and it was just like really weird and tense, and
- 32:54Speaker 2: I don't know, I just didn't really like it. And
- 32:56Speaker 2: you know, to be honest, like I'm a little worried
- 32:58Speaker 2: about the wedding too, and showing up there and it's like,
- 33:01Speaker 2: who says that to somebody? That's so bizarre to me. Like,
- 33:05Speaker 2: even if I go to a social function that I
- 33:07Speaker 2: don't really want to go to, I'm not going to
- 33:09Speaker 2: tell the people who are hosting the social function. Yeah
- 33:12Speaker 2: this shit was shitty. Yeah, and I don't want to
- 33:14Speaker 2: be here. I'm not gonna say that. That's not polite.
- 33:17Speaker 1: She cannot help herself at all, and was this the scene?
- 33:20Speaker 1: Correct me? If I'm wrong, I'm probably wrong. But at
- 33:23Speaker 1: some point Veronica says something like, yeah, those boys setting
- 33:28Speaker 1: Zach on fire or setting the scene on fire. I
- 33:32Speaker 1: was trying to stop them, but like they couldn't be stopped.
- 33:34Speaker 1: Like she blamed it all on Ethan and Mica when
- 33:39Speaker 1: she was the main instigator to those boys to get
- 33:42Speaker 1: Ethan to set fire to the peer or whatever, Like
- 33:46Speaker 1: she just pretended she had nothing to do with it.
- 33:47Speaker 3: I was like, what's going on?
- 33:49Speaker 2: It's literally on film? Yeah, Like, I don't understand how
- 33:52Speaker 2: you can lie about something. It's like with the Browns
- 33:54Speaker 2: and Sister Wise, It's like, how are you lying right
- 33:57Speaker 2: if it's literally recorded on my televin I'm watching you
- 34:01Speaker 2: say this stuff. I'm watching you instigate these boys. I
- 34:03Speaker 2: don't understand you. And it's like, I don't understand how
- 34:06Speaker 2: people can even look at Veronica now in season in
- 34:09Speaker 2: episode seven and still root for her, because there's no
- 34:14Speaker 2: bad editing here. There's no like weird tricks of the
- 34:18Speaker 2: camera or some weird story against the plasts. Like she's
- 34:22Speaker 2: genuinely crazy and genuinely the problem here.
- 34:26Speaker 1: Yeah, that's it. I mean it's all on her. Yeah,
- 34:30Speaker 1: and again, and we've said this before. It's not that
- 34:32Speaker 1: she doesn't have like a kernel, like a one percent
- 34:36Speaker 1: valid point about Micah and whatever, but like it's the
- 34:39Speaker 1: way she's going about just setting it all on fire
- 34:42Speaker 1: and being so disrespectful to everybody that just nobody cares
- 34:47Speaker 1: about what your original point was. Nobody cares to listen
- 34:49Speaker 1: to you, nobody wants to be around you, Verona, No,
- 34:53Speaker 1: you're so valadapted.
- 34:54Speaker 2: Yep. And like Lydia, poor sweet Lydia just wants to
- 34:58Speaker 2: have a nice wedding, Like she doesn't need all of
- 35:01Speaker 2: this drama. And I feel bad, I really do, Like
- 35:03Speaker 2: I feel bad that her wedding is the source of
- 35:06Speaker 2: so much drama, And like I've been critical about her
- 35:09Speaker 2: and Zach's timeline and everything and how it's fast and
- 35:12Speaker 2: she didn't give her family enough time to get to
- 35:14Speaker 2: know him. I get it, but like I feel like
- 35:17Speaker 2: for the most part, the Plaths would have been on
- 35:21Speaker 2: their best behavior. I'm not gonna say I'm not going
- 35:23Speaker 2: to blame the future events on the wedding all on Veronica,
- 35:26Speaker 2: I am, but like, mark.
- 35:28Speaker 1: My words, if she's the instigator. Yeah, like she's the
- 35:31Speaker 1: one I start shit, and it's going to be Micah
- 35:33Speaker 1: trying to protect her. Yes, because maybe Veronica says something
- 35:38Speaker 1: to Kaylin and then Isaac gets upset on behalf of Kaylin,
- 35:42Speaker 1: and then Micah's going to feel some sort of displaced
- 35:44Speaker 1: loyalty to Veronica, so he's going to step in front
- 35:46Speaker 1: of her, and then it's on between Isaac and Micah
- 35:49Speaker 1: something like that. If it's not exactly that, it is
- 35:52Speaker 1: something that Veronica does to set fire to the entire thing.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Definitely. I mean, this whole episode, she keeps threatening to
- 35:59Speaker 2: not go to the wedding, like please, I'm not gonna
- 36:01Speaker 2: go to the wedding.
- 36:02Speaker 1: Don't threaten me with a good time. Please don't show up.
- 36:04Speaker 1: Nobody wants you there, Please don't.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Like She's like, I'm not gonna show up if Teagan's
- 36:09Speaker 2: there because my man was looking up for her, looking
- 36:11Speaker 2: up her titties or something online. But then she says
- 36:14Speaker 2: some fucked up shit like if I don't go to
- 36:17Speaker 2: the wedding, Micah can't go and Micah can't go alone,
- 36:20Speaker 2: And I'm like, are you kidding?
- 36:22Speaker 1: She's not kidding.
- 36:23Speaker 2: This is his sister, this is her wedding, like he
- 36:27Speaker 2: should be allowed to go. I don't give a fuck.
- 36:29Speaker 2: If you're uncomfortable about you don't go.
- 36:31Speaker 1: Then back from uncensored, I said a little something that
- 36:34Speaker 1: I probably shouldn't leave up for general consumption. By the way,
- 36:37Speaker 1: if you want to catch all of our uncensored bits,
- 36:39Speaker 1: you gotta be a patron, So join us in the
- 36:41Speaker 1: dumpster over there. What were we saying about how much
- 36:44Speaker 1: I hate her.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Again, that she's just absolutely fucking and so terrible, and
- 36:48Speaker 2: like her manipulating Mica into not going to the wedding,
- 36:53Speaker 2: and her threatening to not go to the wedding, like bitch,
- 36:56Speaker 2: stay home, yeah please, Like, look, you have every right
- 36:59Speaker 2: so like not like the plaths. I've said this before.
- 37:01Speaker 2: You have every right to not really get along with
- 37:03Speaker 2: the family. Not everybody jives with other people's families. That's
- 37:06Speaker 2: fucking fine, But you don't have a right to like
- 37:09Speaker 2: dictate and control Micah and his actions with his own
- 37:14Speaker 2: fucking family. Like you don't have the right to be
- 37:15Speaker 2: like if I'm not going, you're not going to your
- 37:18Speaker 2: sister's wedding? Fuck you?
- 37:20Speaker 1: I mean, if we reversed the genders on that, I mean,
- 37:23Speaker 1: how many of us would be absolutely losing our shit
- 37:26Speaker 1: over that.
- 37:27Speaker 2: And that's the thing. That's the thing. It's like women
- 37:30Speaker 2: can be abusers as well, yes, but they're often not
- 37:33Speaker 2: taken seriously because we don't think that men can be
- 37:36Speaker 2: abused in the same ways that men abuse women. Like no, Like,
- 37:40Speaker 2: I'm sorry, I feel bad for Micah. He is beaten down.
- 37:44Speaker 2: This woman is crazy. She's an evil witch, and I'm
- 37:47Speaker 2: so over it.
- 37:48Speaker 1: I am over it as well. I feel like we're
- 37:50Speaker 1: being redundant.
- 37:50Speaker 2: About every episode. It's so often I.
- 37:54Speaker 1: Would mean to beat a dead horse, but like it's
- 37:56Speaker 1: just she's she's pretty bad. She's just bad, and she's triggering.
- 37:59Speaker 1: I think she's figuring a lot of people out there
- 38:01Speaker 1: who have known somebody like her.
- 38:03Speaker 2: Yes, And then we have like Zach and Micah just
- 38:07Speaker 2: like digging holes or whatever, and they're having bro talk
- 38:10Speaker 2: and Zach can sense there's tension between Mike and Veronica.
- 38:14Speaker 2: He asks Micah about it, and poor Micah is just
- 38:17Speaker 2: like I think he's embarrassed by how toxic his relationship
- 38:22Speaker 2: is and how like outwardly toxic it is because it's
- 38:24Speaker 2: affecting literally everybody, because Veronica has to make it everybody
- 38:29Speaker 2: else's business, and Mike's just like, well, like we're trying.
- 38:32Speaker 2: And then Micah says something to the camera, like, you know,
- 38:36Speaker 2: me and Veronica are going through our own shit, and
- 38:38Speaker 2: that's really unfortunate, and it sucks that I'm like watching
- 38:41Speaker 2: Zach and Lydia who seems so happy and in love,
- 38:45Speaker 2: but at the same time they're in their honeymoon phase,
- 38:47Speaker 2: and me and Veronica we're in our honeymoon phase as well,
- 38:51Speaker 2: and now we're not. So I think he's like trying
- 38:54Speaker 2: to foreshadow to the fact that, like married life's going
- 38:57Speaker 2: to be different for Lydia and Zach, maybe things will
- 39:00Speaker 2: be right.
- 39:02Speaker 1: But what Micah doesn't understand that is that long term
- 39:06Speaker 1: marriages don't look like what he's got with Veronica. Like
- 39:10Speaker 1: my husband would never never, and I never would with
- 39:16Speaker 1: my husband, And I look at a relationship like you have,
- 39:19Speaker 1: and you guys are so compatible, but you also truly
- 39:23Speaker 1: try to err on the side of being respectful and
- 39:26Speaker 1: loving towards one another in your communication and the way
- 39:28Speaker 1: you interact with each other even when things are hard,
- 39:31Speaker 1: and like, that's a healthy relationship. And so what Micah
- 39:34Speaker 1: doesn't know is what a healthy relationship is because let's
- 39:38Speaker 1: not forget the model previous to this relationship. For that,
- 39:41Speaker 1: for Micah was Kim and Barry, right, and who knows
- 39:44Speaker 1: what was really happening in that house as well.
- 39:46Speaker 2: Yep. And even then with his older brother Ethan, like
- 39:49Speaker 2: he had. You watched Ethan and Olivia through a really
- 39:51Speaker 2: toxic divorce and it was not a healthy relationship. And
- 39:55Speaker 2: now you see Ethan and what he's turned into as
- 39:58Speaker 2: kind of a bitter rezon, full homophobe homophobe drunk yeah, like.
- 40:03Speaker 1: Drunk ass homophobe.
- 40:04Speaker 2: Yeah, Like he's degraded. And even Mariah. He's also seen
- 40:09Speaker 2: Mariah and how beaten down she's become out of all
- 40:12Speaker 2: of her relationships and now she's run off to the
- 40:14Speaker 2: mountains of Montana, which, by the way, she has been
- 40:16Speaker 2: posting some beautiful photos of her life in Montana now
- 40:20Speaker 2: and she seems to be happy.
- 40:21Speaker 1: I hope, So, I hope. So she's back to being blonde,
- 40:24Speaker 1: and I love that for her. I did to get
- 40:26Speaker 1: rid of the black hair, please. So I do want
- 40:28Speaker 1: to say, though, while Micah and Zach are outside working
- 40:31Speaker 1: on that terrible project plumbing project, the gay thing comes
- 40:35Speaker 1: up again. Yeah, and I thought it was funny when
- 40:39Speaker 1: Micah said are you gay or something? Or why are
- 40:42Speaker 1: you gay? Or something like that, like he referenced me.
- 40:45Speaker 1: But they had kind of a little talk about it. Yeah,
- 40:48Speaker 1: I wish they would have gone a little farther with that.
- 40:51Speaker 1: I feel like Micah's actually a pretty sensitive person, and
- 40:54Speaker 1: he kind of makes a few statements in this episode
- 40:56Speaker 1: like yeah, I feel like we were asking some questions
- 41:01Speaker 1: that were maybe not appropriate, Like I realize that that
- 41:03Speaker 1: might have made Zach uncomfortable. I really wish I would
- 41:06Speaker 1: have heard Micah articulate that a little bit more and
- 41:09Speaker 1: maybe apologize because I think maybe he feels bad about it. Yeah,
- 41:14Speaker 1: especially now with Zach helping him dig his ditch and stuff.
- 41:17Speaker 2: I mean real, I'm wondering why we're kind of glossing
- 41:19Speaker 2: over that comment because on Zach's perspective, I'm sure that
- 41:25Speaker 2: was very hurtful and very disrespectful and like, how dare
- 41:28Speaker 2: you question my inappropriate actuality? And like it's super inappropriate,
- 41:32Speaker 2: And I'm just like wondering, like why we're not having
- 41:35Speaker 2: more in depth conversations about that.
- 41:37Speaker 1: Well, I think that they are addressing it. I know
- 41:40Speaker 1: that Zach and Lydia are talking to the camera. But
- 41:43Speaker 1: maybe Micah doesn't know what to say. Maybe Micah doesn't
- 41:48Speaker 1: have the capacity with everything emotional happening in his life
- 41:52Speaker 1: right now, it's just like bombs going off everywhere, Like
- 41:55Speaker 1: he just doesn't have the mental aptitude to like have
- 41:58Speaker 1: the conversation. I'm hope at some point he went back
- 42:02Speaker 1: around and he apologized sincerely for that and said, you
- 42:07Speaker 1: know I was wrong. But we don't know.
- 42:09Speaker 2: I think Lydia has said currently, like on some podcast
- 42:13Speaker 2: or whatever. I think she has said that like Ethan
- 42:15Speaker 2: has apologized to her specifically. I don't know if she
- 42:18Speaker 2: said Micah has apologized to I can't imagine that he
- 42:21Speaker 2: to her.
- 42:22Speaker 1: Well, they owe the apology to him.
- 42:24Speaker 2: Yes, they've apologized to both of them. What she's kind
- 42:27Speaker 2: of alluded to. She hasn't given a lot of details
- 42:29Speaker 2: because it's Lydia and she doesn't really want to gossip
- 42:32Speaker 2: or not. She has expressed that she doesn't want to
- 42:35Speaker 2: talk bad about her family or anything like that. But
- 42:38Speaker 2: I think she has said that they have come around
- 42:40Speaker 2: and apologize, which is cool. I just wish we could
- 42:44Speaker 2: see that resolution. Maybe we will, Maybe we will, who knows,
- 42:48Speaker 2: or maybe Ethan's gonna set Zach on fire, apparently according
- 42:52Speaker 2: to Veronica at the wedding, I don't think so. And
- 42:55Speaker 2: then after digging ditches and talking shit by the pool,
- 42:58Speaker 2: then we come inside and to the drab ass home
- 43:01Speaker 2: and play some weird truth or dare ye game, and
- 43:07Speaker 2: I mean they try to, like I think, they try
- 43:10Speaker 2: to start off with Lydia and Zach, and Zach says
- 43:12Speaker 2: something like, well, I don't want to do truth because
- 43:15Speaker 2: we already know everything about each other. After four months,
- 43:17Speaker 2: we already know everybody, so there's no truth to divulge,
- 43:21Speaker 2: So let's do dare. And I think Veronica is the
- 43:24Speaker 2: one that starts it off, right, doesn't she do some
- 43:26Speaker 2: kind of dare?
- 43:27Speaker 1: Yeah, She's like, well, we're gonna give you a double dare.
- 43:30Speaker 1: You can choose one, and it's either kiss Zach or
- 43:34Speaker 1: take a shot. Yeah, And so Lydia chooses to kiss
- 43:37Speaker 1: Zach on the cheek. But I just that just hit
- 43:41Speaker 1: me a little cruel, because Veronica understands at this point,
- 43:47Speaker 1: just as everybody does, that that is Lydia's value, right,
- 43:51Speaker 1: that is her faith. She can't help herself but to
- 43:55Speaker 1: try and get Lydia to compromise on that yeah, and
- 43:58Speaker 1: I just felt like that was a bit then. I
- 44:00Speaker 1: also thought it was interesting that Lydia was having an
- 44:03Speaker 1: alcoholic beverage at twenty years of age. She's not twenty
- 44:06Speaker 1: one at this time.
- 44:07Speaker 2: No, they did say she turned twenty one at this point.
- 44:10Speaker 1: I thought she wasn't yet.
- 44:12Speaker 2: Well, according to Veronica on Reddit, she was saying that
- 44:15Speaker 2: she wasn't, but like they opened it up saying she
- 44:18Speaker 2: just turned twenty one. Mm okay, because last episode she
- 44:21Speaker 2: was having champagne with Yeah.
- 44:22Speaker 1: Well, I think she's been drinking is as I think
- 44:24Speaker 1: my bigger point just like we've got Mariah, who is
- 44:27Speaker 1: an adult, you can drink, it is legal. I think Lydia,
- 44:31Speaker 1: the missionary, the sold out for Jesus, young lady praying
- 44:35Speaker 1: in a closet, has also been drinking, which I think
- 44:39Speaker 1: just speaks volumes to whatever the family culture was when
- 44:42Speaker 1: they were living on that farm. I think Kim was drinking.
- 44:46Speaker 1: I think they're not unfamiliar with alcohol.
- 44:49Speaker 2: Yeah, and like when you were strict kids so much,
- 44:51Speaker 2: I mean, like what are they going to turn to?
- 44:53Speaker 2: They're going to turn to advice, like when you don't
- 44:55Speaker 2: like promote a culture of like openness and like tr rust,
- 45:00Speaker 2: like they grow up and they get into substances, like
- 45:03Speaker 2: it's just like the natural way of things, Like I
- 45:06Speaker 2: don't know, people experiment I was a bad kid and
- 45:09Speaker 2: I was experimenting in my teens, which I shouldn't have.
- 45:11Speaker 1: But Lydia's supposed to be like Southern Baptist IBLP, which
- 45:15Speaker 1: I don't know if that's Southern Baptist, but like CALTI
- 45:17Speaker 1: Christian praying in a closet. It just seems a bit
- 45:20Speaker 1: like a non sequorder to me that she would be
- 45:23Speaker 1: able to justify drinking alcohol because like back and then
- 45:26Speaker 1: when I was a missionary and an evangelical and a
- 45:29Speaker 1: street preacher and doing all my business, I would have
- 45:31Speaker 1: never had alcohol. No, never, never would have had alcohol.
- 45:35Speaker 1: I'm not an evangelical anymore obviously, but like I just
- 45:38Speaker 1: wouldn't have done it. So I'm just wondering, like what
- 45:41Speaker 1: she actually believes around that.
- 45:43Speaker 2: It's the blood of Jesus.
- 45:43Speaker 1: And if there's like a cognitive dissonance that's happening, or
- 45:47Speaker 1: if it's like something built into their family. I don't know,
- 45:49Speaker 1: what do you think?
- 45:50Speaker 2: Righty, Maybe she's dealing with some emotional shit, so she's drinking. Yeah,
- 45:54Speaker 2: her pain, just the pain, yeah, but yeah, the whole
- 45:57Speaker 2: like truth or dair thing. It. I felt like it
- 46:00Speaker 2: was just Veronica's way of being like, look like I'm
- 46:02Speaker 2: fun and cool and I'm like normal like everybody else.
- 46:05Speaker 2: But it's like, you're not fun to be around. You're
- 46:08Speaker 2: actually really mean, and everyone I think is kind of
- 46:10Speaker 2: scared of you. Like congrats, like this is what you've
- 46:13Speaker 2: cultivated for all of your relationships. I'm not.
- 46:16Speaker 1: And I also don't think Ethan is, and I don't
- 46:18Speaker 1: think Barry is. I think Micah is. But I think
- 46:20Speaker 1: there's a few I don't think Isaac is. I think
- 46:22Speaker 1: there are a few plaths that are not afraid of
- 46:24Speaker 1: her at all. Yeah, and that have her number and
- 46:27Speaker 1: that's why she's so uncomfortable around them.
- 46:29Speaker 2: God, I can't wait until we get to the wedding.
- 46:32Speaker 1: I can't wait till we get to the intervention when
- 46:33Speaker 1: they're all sitting in a circle talking to her. That's
- 46:35Speaker 1: what I want to get to make her cry.
- 46:38Speaker 2: I hope that's the next week. I hope, sorry, next week.
- 46:41Speaker 1: That's such not an a maternal impulse, but no.
- 46:43Speaker 2: But like, come on, like she needs a taste of
- 46:46Speaker 2: her own medicine indeed, like really like sometimes you need
- 46:49Speaker 2: to be humbled and realize, like, oh, I'm the fucking problem.
- 46:52Speaker 2: I'm wrong. And then we get to the preview for
- 46:55Speaker 2: the next couple episodes. We have like a couple of
- 46:57Speaker 2: days before the wedding, and Lydia's like, I'm not sleeping
- 47:01Speaker 2: until everything is done. She's like freaking out, and I'm like, girl,
- 47:05Speaker 2: if you would have just you know, I don't waited, Yeah,
- 47:07Speaker 2: you would have had time to plan and you wouldn't
- 47:09Speaker 2: be so stressed. But here we are. We see another
- 47:13Speaker 2: clip of Barry got the drip. Barry got the riz.
- 47:16Speaker 2: He's the cool, fun dad.
- 47:18Speaker 1: I'm liking that for Barry.
- 47:19Speaker 2: I'm liking it too.
- 47:20Speaker 1: I don't mind it at all. But you know who
- 47:21Speaker 1: does mind it? Kiss kimas Kim is bitter, you.
- 47:25Speaker 2: Can be better that Barry got the drip and Barry
- 47:29Speaker 2: glowed up after your divorce, and he's looking I don't
- 47:32Speaker 2: want to say he's hot because he's not.
- 47:34Speaker 1: Comparatively speaking, I.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Mean, if they were the last two people on Earth, Kim,
- 47:39Speaker 2: you're losing. But it's like she's so bitter that Barry's
- 47:44Speaker 2: the fun and improving dad. She calls him out for it.
- 47:47Speaker 2: She says that he's trying really hard to be this
- 47:51Speaker 2: cool dad and not pressing hard enough on Zach for instance,
- 47:56Speaker 2: and not pressing hard enough on this really quick and gay.
- 48:00Speaker 2: I do think that it's a fair criticism. It's unfortunate
- 48:03Speaker 2: that it's coming from Kim Plath because it's like, who
- 48:05Speaker 2: the fuck are you to talk? You have no credibility none,
- 48:08Speaker 2: miss infidelitous, cheat ness, drunkard. Come on. And then we
- 48:13Speaker 2: have Veronica saying that her and Micah made a pact
- 48:18Speaker 2: to not leave each other's side because they're at the
- 48:20Speaker 2: Plaid family farm. I don't know if it's like the
- 48:22Speaker 2: day of the wedding or maybe if it's like the
- 48:24Speaker 2: rehearsal or something.
- 48:25Speaker 1: They're run up, yeah, for the wedding.
- 48:27Speaker 2: She's like, Micah made a pla packed with me to
- 48:30Speaker 2: not leave my side, and now here he is getting
- 48:33Speaker 2: in a truck driving off somewhere with peace, and she's
- 48:39Speaker 2: gonna get all mad about it. Deuces right, Sorry, they're
- 48:43Speaker 2: on the farm and you're no fun to be around.
- 48:45Speaker 1: Nobody likes to Veronica. I'm sorry.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Shit, Maybe that's what she meant by being abandoned on
- 48:50Speaker 2: the side of the road. Oh when she said on Reddit,
- 48:53Speaker 2: yeah I got abandoned on the side of the road
- 48:55Speaker 2: in Georgia on the platform.
- 48:57Speaker 1: Good maybe you deserved it.
- 48:59Speaker 2: Sorry, God, that's so mean.
- 49:01Speaker 3: She's terrible, But if she's an awful person, we're just
- 49:03Speaker 3: reflecting back to her that what she is. Okay, everything
- 49:08Speaker 3: is just you pushed out so Veronica, where just you
- 49:11Speaker 3: pushed out facts.
- 49:14Speaker 2: And then we did have Kim talking to Ethan about
- 49:17Speaker 2: her reservations with Lydia and Zach and I don't know
- 49:20Speaker 2: if this is what causes tension with Ethan because then
- 49:25Speaker 2: we have the very next scene. Ethan's like, I'm bent up,
- 49:28Speaker 2: I'm full of rage. He's gonna go throw shit around.
- 49:32Speaker 2: I'm like, what your wedding day?
- 49:35Speaker 1: What are you doing? You're such an embarrassment. Get therapy,
- 49:40Speaker 1: look into personal development, read a fucking book on personal development.
- 49:45Speaker 1: You grow magnum Man, make fire for real.
- 49:49Speaker 2: I'm like, you are the eldest brother and you're acting
- 49:51Speaker 2: like such a fucking child, throwing shit around on the
- 49:55Speaker 2: farm when you're supposed to be getting shit together. And
- 49:58Speaker 2: then I think the last scene is him driving out
- 50:02Speaker 2: with his old cars.
- 50:03Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, like burning rubber in the field where she's
- 50:06Speaker 1: going to be getting married. I mean, maybe something terrible
- 50:08Speaker 1: has happened, maybe somebody did something terrible to Ethan, But
- 50:11Speaker 1: I don't know what anybody could do that would cause
- 50:15Speaker 1: you to be so disruptive during Lydia's wedding or the
- 50:18Speaker 1: run up to the wedding. You're just an a hole dude.
- 50:21Speaker 1: You need help.
- 50:22Speaker 2: And it's like, maybe you're bitter because of your marriage.
- 50:25Speaker 2: I get it, Like I get that you might be
- 50:27Speaker 2: sad that you ended up divorced at twenty five. That's
- 50:30Speaker 2: kind of a shitty thing. I get it, But go
- 50:32Speaker 2: to fucking therapy and deal with it. I thought when
- 50:34Speaker 2: you took your motorcycle trip across the country, maybe you
- 50:37Speaker 2: would have mellowed out a bit, but no, you turned
- 50:39Speaker 2: into a bitter, fucking angry dude throwing sit around like
- 50:42Speaker 2: a total toddler.
- 50:43Speaker 1: I'm over it, man, Yeah, me too, been over it,
- 50:46Speaker 1: been over it. Yeah, well I enjoyed it though, me too.
- 50:50Speaker 1: That's such a great episode, and the tension is rising
- 50:54Speaker 1: because even though Veronica is telling Micah that he can't
- 50:59Speaker 1: go to the wedding, that she's not gonna go to
- 51:00Speaker 1: the wedding and that he can't be around Teak, and
- 51:02Speaker 1: obviously they go, they go, and we know Teaken's gonna
- 51:06Speaker 1: be there, and we know Veronica won't be able to
- 51:08Speaker 1: help herself, and we know there's gonna be a big
- 51:11Speaker 1: violent fight between.
- 51:12Speaker 3: Isaac and Micah.
- 51:13Speaker 1: And so, girl, this is good.
- 51:15Speaker 2: I can't wait.
- 51:15Speaker 1: She's getting so good. How are you guys liking it?
- 51:18Speaker 1: Please drop in the comments and let us know. I
- 51:20Speaker 1: know it's toxic. I get it's very dramatic, but like,
- 51:23Speaker 1: are you enjoying it like we are? Are we just
- 51:25Speaker 1: so trashy bitch?
- 51:26Speaker 2: And maybe we're so?
- 51:26Speaker 1: Maybe we're so, Maybe we're the ones. Maybe we're just
- 51:29Speaker 1: euphoric on trash. I don't know, but I'm enjoying it.
- 51:32Speaker 2: I'm loving it.
- 51:32Speaker 1: So is there anything else that we need to say
- 51:35Speaker 1: to these beautiful raccoons before we get up on ata here? Beatrice?
