- 0:11Hello, friends, it's Sean here. It's Tuesday.
- 0:14It's the 15th of October, and I'm so glad to have your
- 0:18company. Thanks for inviting me into your
- 0:20day or your evening or your early morning or wherever you
- 0:23are right now. So good that you and I can do
- 0:27what we do. We can read another chapter of
- 0:29God's word. And boy, we are reading the
- 0:32story about literally a man on a mission to get those walls of
- 0:37Jerusalem rebuilt. And you might be tempted to
- 0:40think this is a story all about Nehemiah and his mission, but
- 0:45actually this is a story about God and his faithfulness.
- 0:49So as you read this and you hear all about what he is getting up
- 0:53to, let the lens of your listening ears be open to where
- 0:58is God? How is he moving in the story?
- 1:02And what provisions does He bring so that His people can
- 1:07finally be restored just as He promised they would be?
- 1:11Our God is a good God, and this is a great story of God's
- 1:14provision. So let us continue with it as He
- 1:18continues to get His job done. As we read together Nehemiah

- 1:35priest and the other high priests started to rebuild the

- 7:35Our Lord, you and your people do not live in a vacuum.
- 7:40This story does not exist out of time and space, but in this very
- 7:45specific space with these families who you empowered and
- 7:49made provisions so that they could rebuild the wall to
- 7:53protect their own homes and your city.
- 7:57Ah Lord, thank you that you are an active God, that you step
- 8:02into our world and you are alive and well, moving in our lives
- 8:10now. Lord, I wonder what you're going
- 8:11to do in our day today. I wonder where you will prompt
- 8:15us. I wonder what specific
- 8:18provisions you have already planned to be amongst us,
- 8:21blessing us without us even realising.
- 8:26Lord, thank you for the way that you do love us in 1000 different
- 8:29ways, many of which we will never even know.
- 8:34But we thank you for your provisions for us and for
- 8:38inviting us to be a part of your mission, bringing about your
- 8:42Kingdom in the world around us. We love you and we are so
- 8:47grateful for all that you have done and all that you continue
- 8:51to do for us. We lift you up and place your
- 8:54name above every other name in our lives, now and forever.
- 9:00In Jesus name we pray this. Amen.
