Colson Montgomery on Pace for Strikeout Record | Chicago White Sox News
Colson Montgomery is on pace to shatter the single-season strikeout record—already at 209, just 14 away from tying Mark Reynolds’ 2009 mark. With a top-1% strikeout rate, he’s swinging wildly, dragging his OPS+ below league average, but still crushing power with 31 homers and 23 doubles. For the White Sox’s playoff push, his high-strikeout game could be a double-edged sword—and the record may soon fall.
