- 0:00Speaker 1: Scrubbing In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rap An iHeartRadio podcast.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Hello, everybody, we are scrubbing in.
- 0:12Speaker 1: Grub a dub dumb the very oily today.
- 0:19Speaker 2: You don't look oily in real life, so I think something.
- 0:21Speaker 2: Maybe your light's given too much.
- 0:24Speaker 1: Yeah, it's giving, it's giving too much of what it
- 0:26Speaker 1: needs to be given.
- 0:26Speaker 2: Too much reflection.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, very oily.
- 0:29Speaker 2: No, you're not looking oily.
- 0:30Speaker 1: Thanks. But you know what the difference between a grape
- 0:35Speaker 1: and a raisin is, Well, they say water, but in
- 0:38Speaker 1: this case, I'm gonna go oil. My skin is oily.
- 0:43Speaker 1: Bring it on, baby.
- 0:44Speaker 3: Wow.
- 0:45Speaker 2: Wow, that was impactable. It wasn't right, It wasn't a
- 0:48Speaker 2: right scientific factor, but it makes it.
- 0:51Speaker 1: It makes a powerful punch.
- 0:54Speaker 2: Mm hmmm. A grape and literally the.
- 0:56Speaker 1: Only difference between a juicy, luscious grape and a raisin
- 1:05Speaker 1: is water. Water.
- 1:06Speaker 2: Yeah, hydration. That's why our skin can even look like
- 1:09Speaker 2: a raisin or hydrated and plump exactly and juicy exactly.
- 1:13Speaker 3: You know, if you're in southe of California, make sure
- 1:15Speaker 3: you're hydrating because it is hot.
- 1:17Speaker 1: So my biggest sick in the news when I'm watching
- 1:21Speaker 1: the news and They're like, make sure you're drinking your water,
- 1:24Speaker 1: and I'm like, I know.
- 1:26Speaker 2: I can't help it though, Like both Haley and I
- 1:28Speaker 2: do this to each other. We're like one of us
- 1:30Speaker 2: won't be feeling well. It's like, have you drink water,
- 1:32Speaker 2: and we both do it to each other.
- 1:33Speaker 1: Different. That's different. Hot outside and the news man saying,
- 1:39Speaker 1: please bring your water jug.
- 1:40Speaker 2: If I'm not feeling well, there's probably another reason other
- 1:44Speaker 2: than I haven't had enough water.
- 1:46Speaker 1: You know. My new thing that's gonna that I'm gonna
- 1:49Speaker 1: make this this winter.
- 1:51Speaker 2: Look.
- 1:53Speaker 1: So I'm gonna take garlic clothes and I'm gonna put
- 1:56Speaker 1: them in a mason jar and I'm gonna fill it
- 1:58Speaker 1: up with honey. And a pair only has a lot
- 2:00Speaker 1: of medicinal benefits if you're feeling sick.
- 2:02Speaker 3: To like she's an episode of the Tanya Show.
- 2:07Speaker 4: She's in her witch cauldron era.
- 2:08Speaker 1: That's right, That's how my friend gives me. Yeah, you
- 2:11Speaker 1: like take like a spoonful of it if you're feeling sick,
- 2:13Speaker 1: or you can like put it you you just use
- 2:15Speaker 1: it as a honey. But it has it's been like
- 2:17Speaker 1: soaking in the garlic. Since I'm going to do it now.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Tanya said to me earlier. She says, you know, Robbie's
- 2:24Speaker 3: done a lot of stuff for me that you know,
- 2:26Speaker 3: he didn't really want to do necessarily. And I'm like
- 2:29Speaker 3: everything he does, the family meetings, the journals, the taping
- 2:33Speaker 3: your mouth shut that there's a hundred things.
- 2:36Speaker 5: I had to remind her of this, so I you know,
- 2:40Speaker 5: I'm glad we're bringing this up because he likes those
- 2:43Speaker 5: things I was referencing, like a concert here or there
- 2:46Speaker 5: that he doesn't necessarily want to go to, but he
- 2:49Speaker 5: knows I want to that type of stuff.
- 2:51Speaker 1: I'm taping his mouth stud He is happy as a
- 2:53Speaker 1: clam taping.
- 2:54Speaker 3: He never would have done that if not for you.
- 2:56Speaker 1: Thank God for me, because he never eyes. I don't
- 3:01Speaker 1: force him. I don't say here's my mouth tape, take.
- 3:02Speaker 3: Yours in some of these things.
- 3:07Speaker 2: I don't think so I think that he does. He
- 3:10Speaker 2: would have never done it without you, But I think
- 3:13Speaker 2: after doing it, he does enjoy it. Yeah, but I
- 3:16Speaker 2: do think he, Uh, Tanya, finds himself for you and
- 3:22Speaker 2: then he like likes it.
- 3:24Speaker 1: He's thanking God every day on his knees.
- 3:27Speaker 3: He walks in the house and you're and you know,
- 3:30Speaker 3: there's got it like I don't know, your fridge is empty,
- 3:32Speaker 3: there's piles of stuff everywhere, and he's just like, oh boy,
- 3:34Speaker 3: what is it this week? What are we getting into now?
- 3:37Speaker 3: I bet there's got to be a moment of him
- 3:38Speaker 3: be like, okay, I gotta gear up for this.
- 3:43Speaker 1: Man like making that stuff for forty eight hours. He
- 3:46Speaker 1: is me in male form.
- 3:48Speaker 2: I have has made me. I do feel there's been
- 3:53Speaker 2: a switch.
- 3:54Speaker 1: Yeah, he's me in a man's body.
- 3:58Speaker 2: No all the way.
- 3:59Speaker 1: Yeah, not all emotionally, not all the way now, I
- 4:01Speaker 1: would say one hundred percent, but he's like eighty percent there. Yeah.
- 4:04Speaker 2: Yeah, y'all are a great match. Yeah. I was laughing
- 4:07Speaker 2: today because so Haley and I now that we're living together,
- 4:09Speaker 2: it's like okay, like who's doing what you know, and
- 4:13Speaker 2: the chores whatnot. And I was thinking about how she
- 4:16Speaker 2: goes it's okay, like today when she was like, it's okay,
- 4:19Speaker 2: it's okay, don't worry, We're gonna get into a routine,
- 4:21Speaker 2: and I was like, yeah, it's hard because not I
- 4:24Speaker 2: feel like typically there's a person in a relationship that's
- 4:27Speaker 2: like the clean, organized person and like that's like their thing.
- 4:31Speaker 2: But neither of us are that.
- 4:33Speaker 6: Way, so it's like, oh, it's chaos, but we have
- 4:37Speaker 6: to be really intentional about it otherwise because like, and
- 4:40Speaker 6: I'm actually grateful because I think if there was one
- 4:42Speaker 6: person who was like more that way, there would be resentment.
- 4:46Speaker 2: You know, we're both just like, oh, you're messy.
- 4:48Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever will you do that?
- 4:50Speaker 2: It's like just out in the open. But I feel
- 4:53Speaker 2: like Alison, well, I feel like you're clean, but I
- 4:56Speaker 2: noticed Allison was very.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Allison's much cleaner. Yeah, yeah, and thank god for that.
- 5:06Speaker 2: I'm sorry, but I did. I wanted to make sure
- 5:08Speaker 2: you're alive.
- 5:09Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you have to vacate the room feels bad.
- 5:15Speaker 2: Mark was having a coffee Deack.
- 5:19Speaker 1: And he's still not back yet.
- 5:20Speaker 2: Yeah, he's not back. He took his water though.
- 5:23Speaker 1: I think you guys should just divving up the chores.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I'm in charge of this, you're in charge of that, right.
- 5:28Speaker 2: So So what happened was we were leaving for something
- 5:32Speaker 2: over the weekend and I was like, oh my gosh,
- 5:35Speaker 2: hold I have to feed Phoebe because I'm always the
- 5:36Speaker 2: one that feeds Phoebe. And she goes babe, and I'm like,
- 5:39Speaker 2: did you think of Phoebe. Would Phoebe have eaten if
- 5:42Speaker 2: I didn't feed Phoebe? And she's like, okay, So from
- 5:46Speaker 2: now on, I'll do Phoebe's food in the morning. But
- 5:48Speaker 2: this morning it's such a habit for me that I
- 5:50Speaker 2: made Phoebe's food and then she made it again. She
- 5:53Speaker 2: was about to leave and she goes, wait, I gotta
- 5:54Speaker 2: feed Phoebe, and I go I already fed Phoebe and
- 5:57Speaker 2: she's like, that's my chour. It's gonna take some adjustment,
- 6:01Speaker 2: but I'm glad. Everyone's eager, you know, everyone's eager to participate.
- 6:04Speaker 2: That's all I needed.
- 6:05Speaker 1: That's the best thing.
- 6:07Speaker 2: Mark's returned.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I try to be so mindful and demure and just
- 6:11Speaker 3: step out for a moment.
- 6:12Speaker 2: Yea hacking and like it looks like.
- 6:18Speaker 3: A little tickle.
- 6:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:19Speaker 2: Well, we couldn't start Dear Bonnie without because we're just
- 6:21Speaker 2: killing the chores, the chores, my chores with my girlfriend
- 6:28Speaker 2: living together. Yeah, it's not great, but I did want.
- 6:33Speaker 1: The way we feed Sonny is like whoever, whoever during
- 6:37Speaker 1: the week when I obviously leave in the morning, so
- 6:38Speaker 1: Robbie does it when I'm not there, and then it's
- 6:40Speaker 1: just whoever wakes up first and goes downstairs feed Sonny.
- 6:43Speaker 2: Well, Phoebe's not an instant, like she doesn't.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Don't they take her time in the morning. Sonny is
- 6:49Speaker 1: like chomping at the bitch.
- 6:52Speaker 2: Just let her like kind of when she walks over
- 6:54Speaker 2: to that area, I'm like, okay, I'll feed her. So
- 6:56Speaker 2: I never have like a specific time, so that's why
- 6:59Speaker 2: I've always just it. But now she Hailey's like, that's
- 7:02Speaker 2: my chore now. So I was like, okay, good luck Phoebe.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Hope you eat eat.
- 7:12Speaker 2: So yeah, but today's episode is a dear bizybanya and uh,
- 7:18Speaker 2: we're so excited because we got some got some some
- 7:22Speaker 2: good stuff in here.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Some good stuff, good good stuff.
- 7:25Speaker 2: I'm good advice emails people seeking advice.
- 7:30Speaker 1: So mark without further redation, Oh, thank you so much.
- 7:32Speaker 3: This is from an anonymous mom to be help. I'm
- 7:35Speaker 3: looking for ideas to make my husband's fortieth birthday special.
- 7:38Speaker 3: At home. We're expecting our first baby two weeks before
- 7:41Speaker 3: his birthday, so I'm not thinking I'll be in any
- 7:43Speaker 3: condition to go out. We'll have a surprise birthday dinner
- 7:46Speaker 3: with the family before the baby comes, but I want
- 7:48Speaker 3: to make sure he feels super special on the actual day.
- 7:50Speaker 3: He's a low key guy and he mostly geeks out
- 7:52Speaker 3: on movies and actors, astronomy and really good coffee. When
- 7:56Speaker 3: I started thinking about what to do for him, I
- 7:58Speaker 3: thought about, how this is right up Tanya's Ali. I'd
- 8:01Speaker 3: love a man's perspective of Mark and Easton too. Thank
- 8:03Speaker 3: you so much for making me, helping me make this
- 8:05Speaker 3: super special for him.
- 8:07Speaker 1: You know what's so interesting. I was just talking to
- 8:09Speaker 1: a friend of mine. Her daughter was born, like I think,
- 8:13Speaker 1: maybe a few days before her birthday, and she's like,
- 8:16Speaker 1: my birthday is no longer existent. It's like all about
- 8:20Speaker 1: the kid, you know. And I was like, that's so.
- 8:21Speaker 1: I guess you don't really care when you're a parent.
- 8:23Speaker 1: It's just like whatever, everything is about the kid. But
- 8:25Speaker 1: I was like, oh, Like I like made a mental note.
- 8:29Speaker 1: I was like, I don't want you know, like, I
- 8:30Speaker 1: want your birthday to still be your birthday. So I
- 8:34Speaker 1: feel like you should make him feel special. The fact
- 8:36Speaker 1: that you said that he's a low key guy, I
- 8:38Speaker 1: feel like he'll like this idea because I've done I
- 8:43Speaker 1: feel like I've done this for Becca, I've done it
- 8:44Speaker 1: for Robbie, and it's always a hit. Where you get
- 8:47Speaker 1: the forty balloons and you write down something that you like,
- 8:52Speaker 1: one thing you love about that person on each balloon,
- 8:54Speaker 1: and you put him in a room so they like
- 8:55Speaker 1: look really cool and cute and they're like sentimental, so
- 8:58Speaker 1: it makes them feel good.
- 9:02Speaker 3: That would make him feel special, no question.
- 9:04Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, that's it. That's all.
- 9:09Speaker 2: Oh I have an idea. She said, he loves astronomy.
- 9:12Speaker 2: That's stars, right, Yes, yeah, okay, I was thinking, what
- 9:15Speaker 2: if you got those glow in the dark stars and
- 9:17Speaker 2: you put them all over the ceiling and then you
- 9:18Speaker 2: did a movie night where you watch one of his
- 9:20Speaker 2: favorite movies and had like popcorn and cant like made
- 9:23Speaker 2: it like the stars. Yeah, under the stage.
- 9:25Speaker 1: Each star you could write down your favorite thing about him.
- 9:28Speaker 3: Put their glow in the dark.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Oh, it's just Nick straight out, I love you, you know,
- 9:39Speaker 1: just spitballing here. Yeah, I know.
- 9:42Speaker 2: Well that could be the morning, like yeah, he comes
- 9:44Speaker 2: down and then.
- 9:47Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, okay. The balloons have the glow up
- 9:51Speaker 1: stars on them with the writings on them, so he
- 9:53Speaker 1: reads them all in the morning and then she takes
- 9:55Speaker 1: all the stars, she puts them on the ceiling for
- 9:57Speaker 1: a movie night that night, or they just.
- 9:59Speaker 2: Hang in the air and they glow in the dark
- 10:01Speaker 2: on the blue.
- 10:03Speaker 1: See, these are.
- 10:04Speaker 3: All great ideas. I think they will all make him
- 10:07Speaker 3: feel very special and very very very thoughtful, very thought through.
- 10:11Speaker 3: I was just gonna say, I'm just I'm a simple guy,
- 10:13Speaker 3: and I don't need much. And a lot of times
- 10:16Speaker 3: my wife thinks, oh, he doesn't need any more Brewers
- 10:18Speaker 3: and Packers stuff because he has a million things. That's
- 10:20Speaker 3: all I need, that's all I want, that's all I
- 10:21Speaker 3: care about. I can't get too much of that stuff
- 10:26Speaker 3: because that's what I'm obsessed with. So just whatever his
- 10:29Speaker 3: obsessions are, you might think, oh, he doesn't need another
- 10:31Speaker 3: astronomy thing, get it. He'll love it absolutely. Yes, whatever
- 10:35Speaker 3: he's obsessed with, lean into it.
- 10:37Speaker 1: Woh.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I like, that's that's good to know.
- 10:39Speaker 4: I went to Mark's fiftieth birthday party, and I've never
- 10:41Speaker 4: felt less stress about buying a gift.
- 10:43Speaker 3: For someone so simple.
- 10:44Speaker 4: I was like, this is easy, man.
- 10:47Speaker 3: He got me baseball cards, like a book of cards.
- 10:50Speaker 4: I got you the program for the Brewers game that
- 10:55Speaker 4: was the day you were born.
- 10:56Speaker 3: I think I was not exactly it is nice that's
- 11:00Speaker 3: not exactly why. No, it was like it was like
- 11:05Speaker 3: a it was a bunch of It was a little
- 11:07Speaker 3: book on the players from the seventy one Brewers team. Yes, yes, yes,
- 11:11Speaker 3: that was very nice.
- 11:11Speaker 4: They would have given it out on the game the
- 11:13Speaker 4: day he was born. Oh, it's the game that they
- 11:17Speaker 4: celebrated Mark's birth.
- 11:19Speaker 1: Wow, that's so thoughtful.
- 11:20Speaker 3: It was very thoughtful.
- 11:21Speaker 2: Yes, it was very thought Yeah, that's a great idea
- 11:25Speaker 2: if you want to get him.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Yeah, maybe you can find the DVD of the movie
- 11:30Speaker 1: that he were What if you bought him a store, Yes,
- 11:34Speaker 1: you can do that.
- 11:35Speaker 3: You can't do that.
- 11:37Speaker 1: Forty so it's easy.
- 11:40Speaker 3: It's throwing away your money. Like I don't I think
- 11:43Speaker 3: he has an astronomer would know that you don't actually
- 11:45Speaker 3: name you're not actually naming your.
- 11:47Speaker 1: You get the coordinates and everything.
- 11:49Speaker 3: You can name the drop in the ocean, you can
- 11:51Speaker 3: name a grain saying on the beach. It's the same thing.
- 11:53Speaker 3: It's just a certificate. It's just taking your money because.
- 11:57Speaker 2: He's an astronomer. She said, he loves a.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Strong Yeah, oh my gosh, if I have a star
- 12:01Speaker 1: in this sky that was named after me that I'm
- 12:03Speaker 1: not even astronomer.
- 12:06Speaker 4: What about get him a snapshot of what the stars
- 12:09Speaker 4: looked like the night.
- 12:10Speaker 2: He was bad or the day they all met.
- 12:14Speaker 1: Yes, and we're really pushing the astronomy. And and like
- 12:19Speaker 1: the fact that he likes good coffee.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Get him a good cup of coffee.
- 12:23Speaker 1: Oh, my gosh, makes some homemade milk or or almond milk.
- 12:27Speaker 3: Whatever.
- 12:27Speaker 1: His milk.
- 12:29Speaker 2: She's gonna be way too pregnant.
- 12:32Speaker 3: Milk real soon.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Different he can't have that.
- 12:38Speaker 1: Can Actually is that breast milk like very healing?
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like it's like that's why they encourage you
- 12:43Speaker 2: to if you are stuff. Oh, I don't know, I
- 12:47Speaker 2: think it is.
- 12:47Speaker 1: I think that's like a lot of healing property.
- 12:49Speaker 2: I thought about Robbie wrapping his burn and his own
- 12:53Speaker 2: skin way too many times. It's the podcast. I gotta
- 12:56Speaker 2: be honest.
- 12:58Speaker 4: I had Blissfulee gotten that.
- 13:02Speaker 2: Thinking about a NonStop he had.
- 13:06Speaker 1: Okay, so he burned. He was making me soup and
- 13:10Speaker 1: he went to go pour it into the bowl and
- 13:12Speaker 1: he went all over his hands. So he got a
- 13:13Speaker 1: second degree burned on.
- 13:14Speaker 3: His finger, like hot fingers. Se I was.
- 13:19Speaker 1: Like, but it was a huge blister that like appeared
- 13:24Speaker 1: on his finger like so like on top right, like
- 13:26Speaker 1: a big giant one. So he uh, he got it drained,
- 13:31Speaker 1: the blister drained, and then you leave the skin. You
- 13:34Speaker 1: don't like peel the skin off. You see that skin
- 13:36Speaker 1: as its own band aid. That's what he did. It's
- 13:40Speaker 1: not as gross.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Okay, I thought you were. Actually he caught his skin
- 13:43Speaker 2: and then wrapped it around there. I loved it.
- 13:47Speaker 1: He loved his skin on, and then it was starting
- 13:49Speaker 1: to peel up, and then he had to kind of
- 13:50Speaker 1: peel it back down.
- 13:51Speaker 2: And I don't need more details.
- 13:54Speaker 1: Skin. Skin makes the best band aid for your skin.
- 13:57Speaker 1: So if you're ever out there and you're wondering what's
- 14:00Speaker 1: the best band they.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Take off that skin. It's just super red and raw.
- 14:04Speaker 1: Correct, so you can get a band aid, like you're saying,
- 14:07Speaker 1: right right, yeah, fair enough is the best band aid.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Shall we move on to another one?
- 14:12Speaker 2: Options? Yeah, maybe wake him up with his favorite couple
- 14:16Speaker 2: of jobby well that or his favorite and then his
- 14:19Speaker 2: favorite couple.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Something sexual is never not going to be.
- 14:23Speaker 2: Two weeks before giving birth. I just can't imagine. Her
- 14:26Speaker 2: gag reflex is off the charts.
- 14:28Speaker 1: Your gag reflex is that bad and that pregnant.
- 14:32Speaker 2: I imagine everything is gaggy when you're that pregnant.
- 14:34Speaker 4: Shall have had the kid for two weeks.
- 14:36Speaker 2: Thoughts before, two weeks before, we're.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Expecting two weeks before his birthday. Kid in one hand.
- 14:43Speaker 2: This. We're gonna have to ask for some help for
- 14:45Speaker 2: some of these ideas we've given. Yeah, we need a
- 14:48Speaker 2: friend or a parent to come over. Yeah, there are
- 14:51Speaker 2: some good, good options in there. And congratulations, we're so
- 14:56Speaker 2: happy for you.
- 14:57Speaker 3: We didn't take a break after. I'm not going to
- 14:59Speaker 3: have you do me like you did on Monday.
- 15:01Speaker 1: So let's take a break scrubbing.
- 15:06Speaker 3: Sorry, wrong button, Sorry, all.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Right, we're back. Break one, done, done, Moving on to
- 15:32Speaker 2: anonymous number two.
- 15:33Speaker 3: Here we go, Everyone's and no, I'm you know I
- 15:35Speaker 3: put these on there because everyone's anonymous nowadays.
- 15:37Speaker 2: Not true.
- 15:37Speaker 1: We're going to get to Aaron at the end.
- 15:39Speaker 3: Hi, Becca and Tanya parenthetically and Marcaniston. That's us, easty
- 15:44Speaker 3: were the parentheticals?
- 15:45Speaker 4: All right, we made it.
- 15:46Speaker 3: I've been a scrubber since day one. Thanks for bringing
- 15:48Speaker 3: sunshine to so many people's days and for showing up
- 15:51Speaker 3: every week to provide us with episodes. My husband and
- 15:53Speaker 3: I have these friends we'll call them Derek and Meredith.
- 15:56Speaker 3: A few years ago, they came to our friends giving
- 15:58Speaker 3: and hit it off with another couple we invited. A
- 16:01Speaker 3: week later, I saw on Instagram that they hung out
- 16:03Speaker 3: with that other couple without us, And then over the
- 16:06Speaker 3: next few months, Derek and Mereth seemed to steal every
- 16:09Speaker 3: friend we introduced them to and excluded us from events.
- 16:13Speaker 3: This pattern happened with three other couples we knew, and
- 16:17Speaker 3: it really started to upset us. A few months ago,
- 16:20Speaker 3: I talked to Meredith about it, and she apologized said
- 16:22Speaker 3: it wasn't their intention to hurt us. Despite this, the
- 16:24Speaker 3: pattern continues with excuses like it was a dog's birthday
- 16:28Speaker 3: party and you don't have a dog, or oh, I
- 16:30Speaker 3: thought you were out of town. Eventually, I decided to
- 16:34Speaker 3: pull myself out of these uncomfortable situations. Meredith noticed the
- 16:37Speaker 3: distance and said, what's wrong. I shared my feelings and
- 16:39Speaker 3: she ended up crying. I told her I'd be happy
- 16:41Speaker 3: to stay friends, but I no longer feel comfortable being
- 16:44Speaker 3: part of the larger friend group. My question is, am
- 16:47Speaker 3: I weird to feel this way? I'm not sure how
- 16:49Speaker 3: to move forward with his friendship. But it also puts
- 16:51Speaker 3: me in a weird spot with the other couples. Since
- 16:53Speaker 3: now it comes off as I'm causing drama, how would
- 16:56Speaker 3: you move forward with it? Any advice would be so appreciated.
- 16:59Speaker 3: Thank you all.
- 17:02Speaker 2: So she's basically just saying she's fine to stay friends
- 17:04Speaker 2: with Meredith, but that doesn't need to be friends with
- 17:06Speaker 2: all the other people as a group.
- 17:09Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm confused on the question.
- 17:12Speaker 2: She doesn't want to feel she said, The question.
- 17:14Speaker 1: Is am I weird to feel this way? The question is, no,
- 17:18Speaker 1: You're not weird because you feel that type of way,
- 17:20Speaker 1: so your feelings are always valid. However, I'm not really
- 17:25Speaker 1: sure how to get you out of this curm fluckle
- 17:28Speaker 1: because quite the curf fluckle, because at the end of
- 17:33Speaker 1: the day, you were just a kerfuffle.
- 17:35Speaker 2: It's a curve fuckle.
- 17:36Speaker 1: It's her. Is that the word is kerfluffle?
- 17:38Speaker 2: Her?
- 17:39Speaker 1: What is it?
- 17:40Speaker 2: Isn't it kerfluffle?
- 17:42Speaker 3: K is a very.
- 17:48Speaker 1: It's it's an interesting one. And I think that at
- 17:51Speaker 1: the end of the day, you have to take people
- 17:54Speaker 1: as they are. And I feel like Derek and Meredith
- 18:00Speaker 1: this might just be maybe they wanted to hang out
- 18:02Speaker 1: with couples, you know. Two on two they like doing
- 18:06Speaker 1: the double day thing. They don't want to do bigger things.
- 18:09Speaker 1: Maybe they don't obviously they're not seeing that it's like
- 18:12Speaker 1: hurting your feelings. I just think you have to take
- 18:14Speaker 1: people as they are. I feel like it's going to
- 18:17Speaker 1: help you feel more settled in yourself and it's going
- 18:20Speaker 1: to help you feel more settled in this situation because
- 18:22Speaker 1: I think at the end of the day, like we
- 18:24Speaker 1: all try to control other people circumstances, situations, outcomes, and
- 18:29Speaker 1: you just can't. You just can't.
- 18:32Speaker 2: I also think sometimes especially when you're in a group
- 18:34Speaker 2: setting and you're married and there's like couples, people will
- 18:38Speaker 2: connect and have interest outside of what you connected with
- 18:43Speaker 2: them on, you know what I'm saying. So like, right,
- 18:45Speaker 2: they came to your friends giving and there was another
- 18:47Speaker 2: couple there that maybe they were like, oh my gosh,
- 18:49Speaker 2: like we are literally the same people and we have
- 18:51Speaker 2: the same interests and we should do something together. And
- 18:53Speaker 2: then it happens, and it like sucks because it sucks
- 18:57Speaker 2: to see people that you introduced hanging out without you
- 19:01Speaker 2: as the connector. But I also think it's okay for
- 19:04Speaker 2: people to want to do that, and I think you're
- 19:06Speaker 2: valid to like want to exclude yourself, and I don't
- 19:08Speaker 2: think you're having drama. I think you can just be like, yeah,
- 19:11Speaker 2: I just I do better one on one.
- 19:13Speaker 1: And I don't like the big way I'm making It's
- 19:15Speaker 1: making me feel.
- 19:16Speaker 2: The big group settings are just like not my thing.
- 19:19Speaker 1: But I also think too when you said, like the
- 19:21Speaker 1: excuses it's a dog party and you don't have a dog,
- 19:24Speaker 1: like I would. I would never think to invite a
- 19:26Speaker 1: friend that didn't have a dog to my dog's party, right, So,
- 19:31Speaker 1: like I understand the Meredith and Derek's I know, I know,
- 19:35Speaker 1: but that was the one she chose, which to me
- 19:37Speaker 1: seems valid, like I just would never, like I just
- 19:41Speaker 1: would never think to do that, you know what I mean?
- 19:44Speaker 2: But I think Meredith might be totally aloof because it
- 19:47Speaker 2: seems she noticed when you were more distant, like she
- 19:50Speaker 2: picked up on it. She would she didn't ignore your
- 19:52Speaker 2: distance and asked you about it and then listen to
- 19:56Speaker 2: you and she cried. So I mean, to me, I
- 19:58Speaker 2: feel like Meredith isn't like a villain or trying to
- 20:01Speaker 2: be malicious. I think it's just maybe just being a
- 20:04Speaker 2: little like aloof about your feelings, right, And I think
- 20:09Speaker 2: that if you feel better not being a part of
- 20:12Speaker 2: the group settings or putting yourself in that situation. Again,
- 20:14Speaker 2: that's totally valid and you're fine. You're not dramatic for that. Yo.
- 20:20Speaker 2: Y'all have like a couple of friends, right like people
- 20:23Speaker 2: that have have you introduced, people that have hung out
- 20:25Speaker 2: without you or had that experience.
- 20:27Speaker 1: I know, I was trying to put myself in this
- 20:28Speaker 1: situation and I can't.
- 20:31Speaker 3: I've had like solo friends that I've that have met
- 20:34Speaker 3: through me and then they hang out together, and I
- 20:36Speaker 3: think that's neat. I think that's kind of Yeah. I
- 20:37Speaker 3: always like, oh, I'm the reason that those two are
- 20:39Speaker 3: together right now.
- 20:41Speaker 4: And Spider Man teaming up.
- 20:42Speaker 1: Yeah exactly, it's like Wolverine and Deadpool.
- 20:45Speaker 4: Yes exactly. It's like, yeah, it's fun. I like that
- 20:48Speaker 4: soot Yeah, so impressed. I feel like I've been this
- 20:53Speaker 4: person before, like where like I've met someone through a
- 20:56Speaker 4: different friend that we end up hanging out with those
- 20:58Speaker 4: friends a lot and not the person and introduced us,
- 21:01Speaker 4: and uh, sometimes I feel bad, but also uh like like,
- 21:05Speaker 4: for example, we had some friends named Trish and Dylan.
- 21:08Speaker 4: They introduced me to David. David rides bikes. He got
- 21:11Speaker 4: me and riding bikes. I ride back to him all
- 21:12Speaker 4: the time. We don't hang out with the other people
- 21:14Speaker 4: as much because they were my neighbors. Now they moved away.
- 21:17Speaker 4: No one's there. I don't know, like it's not weird.
- 21:19Speaker 4: No one's ever like said anything. I don't know. It's
- 21:23Speaker 4: just how it's just how things go sometimes. I guess.
- 21:25Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 21:26Speaker 4: It's not really good advice. But but if.
- 21:28Speaker 3: You feel like you're being excluded and that sucks, yeah, no.
- 21:30Speaker 1: Feelings are valid.
- 21:31Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, yeah.
- 21:33Speaker 1: What were you going to say speaking of Sunny's birthday
- 21:35Speaker 1: parties November?
- 21:36Speaker 2: No, thank you.
- 21:39Speaker 3: It's a long time from now.
- 21:40Speaker 1: It's a Sunday.
- 21:42Speaker 3: I mean just coming up, all right, next one. I
- 21:46Speaker 3: don't know if we answered that one or not, but
- 21:48Speaker 3: here we go from anonymous. I've been with my boyfriend
- 21:50Speaker 3: a little over four years. Wait, where are the softball one? Okay,
- 21:55Speaker 3: spoiler alert. We live together and have a dog together.
- 21:58Speaker 3: Every summer, he plays in a softball league to four
- 22:00Speaker 3: nights a week. These evenings include one to two games
- 22:02Speaker 3: and then hanging out for hours after the game is
- 22:04Speaker 3: drinking beers with friends. About a month ago, everyone went
- 22:07Speaker 3: to the bar after one of the games, but I
- 22:09Speaker 3: didn't know about that until about a week later when
- 22:11Speaker 3: one of the wives told me they all went to
- 22:13Speaker 3: the bar.
- 22:13Speaker 1: Oh.
- 22:14Speaker 3: So I was frustrated and said, I didn't know this
- 22:15Speaker 3: information and my boyfriend didn't tell me. I made it
- 22:18Speaker 3: clear that I want to know this information at the moment,
- 22:20Speaker 3: even if I already went to bed. Last night, same
- 22:23Speaker 3: thing happened. He went to the game, went to the bar,
- 22:26Speaker 3: didn't tell me until eleven PM when I asked him
- 22:28Speaker 3: where he could possibly be. It's not being at the
- 22:31Speaker 3: bar that bothers me. It's the not telling me what's
- 22:33Speaker 3: going on when he's out and about. He came home
- 22:36Speaker 3: drunk and said that he gets nervous telling me things
- 22:39Speaker 3: because he knows I'm going to be mad regardless of
- 22:41Speaker 3: if he tells me or if he doesn't tells me.
- 22:43Speaker 3: Tell me. I tried to make it clear that I
- 22:45Speaker 3: wouldn't be mad if he just told me, but I
- 22:47Speaker 3: don't think he gets it. How do I set a
- 22:49Speaker 3: clear boundary and stick to it. I don't want to
- 22:51Speaker 3: be a naggy girlfriend, but I won't continue a relationship
- 22:54Speaker 3: like this.
- 22:56Speaker 2: I this is so. This is a very difference to suation.
- 23:00Speaker 2: But Haley and I had this time in our relationship
- 23:03Speaker 2: where she would not tell me things that she didn't
- 23:09Speaker 2: find important out of fear that maybe I would have
- 23:13Speaker 2: a reaction to it, And so we would go in
- 23:16Speaker 2: the circle because I'd be like, why didn't you just
- 23:19Speaker 2: tell me? Because now I'm more upset that you didn't
- 23:21Speaker 2: just tell me and I wouldn't have been upset, and
- 23:24Speaker 2: She's like, but I was scared that you would be upset.
- 23:26Speaker 2: So we had to like set this boundary of being safe,
- 23:29Speaker 2: a safe space for both of us because she had
- 23:32Speaker 2: to make me feel safe by being upfront and honest
- 23:35Speaker 2: with me and letting me know certain things, especially if
- 23:38Speaker 2: it was like a sensitive time, and then I had
- 23:41Speaker 2: to give her the benefit of the doubt of not
- 23:44Speaker 2: being upset if she told me. So I think it's
- 23:47Speaker 2: setting the boundary of like, hey, I will work on
- 23:51Speaker 2: I don't want to be the naggy girlfriend, but that
- 23:53Speaker 2: is a boundary that's important to me. If you're gonna
- 23:55Speaker 2: go out and drink, I would just as your girlfriend
- 23:57Speaker 2: and someone who wants to know that you're safe, so
- 24:00Speaker 2: that I know what you're are where you are. I
- 24:02Speaker 2: don't care if you go without me. I don't care
- 24:04Speaker 2: what you're doing. I just want to know. And I
- 24:06Speaker 2: think that's out of respect and being in a relationship.
- 24:10Speaker 1: It is the approach to it because I will say, like,
- 24:14Speaker 1: I feel like, maybe, Anonymous, you aren't really telling us
- 24:18Speaker 1: how exactly you are reacting to the situation. And I
- 24:21Speaker 1: give you full credit to do so because I do
- 24:24Speaker 1: the same thing. I can sometimes my sentiment is is good,
- 24:30Speaker 1: and like my feelings and everything that I'm saying is valid.
- 24:33Speaker 1: My approach to it is can come off very naggy
- 24:37Speaker 1: or like annoying or it's it's always in the approach.
- 24:41Speaker 1: So and like I've learned this through my therapist because
- 24:43Speaker 1: she's like, the the sentiment and the things and your
- 24:47Speaker 1: ideas and what you want is very totally normal. It's
- 24:51Speaker 1: the way that you approach it that makes people that
- 24:54Speaker 1: makes him feel like attacked. And so I would kind
- 24:58Speaker 1: of like, look at how you you are communicating these
- 25:03Speaker 1: things to him, because again, what you're saying is totally
- 25:05Speaker 1: valid and totally he should be respecting you. And if
- 25:09Speaker 1: all you want is to keep you in the loop,
- 25:11Speaker 1: like it's very easy to do. But there's he had
- 25:13Speaker 1: He's saying there's a reason why he's not doing that,
- 25:16Speaker 1: So I would kind of maybe try and approach it
- 25:18Speaker 1: in a different in a different way, say it in
- 25:21Speaker 1: a different manner.
- 25:22Speaker 2: You're so right. If it's coming across a tackie, he's
- 25:25Speaker 2: never gonna feel safe to tell you.
- 25:27Speaker 3: He's probably right. And why aren't you going to the
- 25:29Speaker 3: softball games? Because I think it's the same group of
- 25:31Speaker 3: people at the games. Are then moving to the bar?
- 25:33Speaker 1: Right, And if she don't want to go to a
- 25:35Speaker 1: week I don't want to go either. I like buy
- 25:38Speaker 1: have fun, but I would like to know when you're
- 25:41Speaker 1: coming home or like, you know, just kind of update
- 25:43Speaker 1: me and then I'll text you, hey, I'm going to sleep.
- 25:45Speaker 1: And then by that came good.
- 25:47Speaker 2: Night, Yeah yeah.
- 25:49Speaker 1: Samuel kissy emoji, and we're all good funny.
- 25:55Speaker 2: I would give anything to be in bed with you,
- 25:57Speaker 2: caressing your face as you drift into a dreamland. This
- 26:00Speaker 2: is what Tanya would want to hear. I would give
- 26:02Speaker 2: anything to be there, but instead I'm at this gross
- 26:05Speaker 2: dingy bar.
- 26:06Speaker 1: This morning, he said, you're the air and my lugs
- 26:11Speaker 1: because he saw this like TikTok, and it was like,
- 26:14Speaker 1: what what I want? What my partner says to me,
- 26:18Speaker 1: and it's like, hey, babe, I'm gonna get my old
- 26:20Speaker 1: change be back in thirty or whatever. This is what
- 26:22Speaker 1: she wants me to say. Hey, babe, I really hate
- 26:25Speaker 1: to leave you, and I don't want to leave. You know.
- 26:27Speaker 1: If somebody could change my ol for me like I
- 26:29Speaker 1: would want, I would welcome it. But I have to go.
- 26:32Speaker 1: And since I have to go, I'm gonna be thinking
- 26:34Speaker 1: about you every minute of every second that I'm gone.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I cannot wait to come back and see you again.
- 26:39Speaker 1: I was like, yeah, there we.
- 26:41Speaker 2: Go, Yeah, yeah, step it.
- 26:44Speaker 1: Up, which is actually so dark because he's wonderful.
- 26:50Speaker 2: Yeah, no, I think that's just I was laughing. Hey,
- 26:53Speaker 2: I was laughing because I was like, this is so sick.
- 26:55Speaker 2: That's that is like.
- 26:56Speaker 1: How And then and then just to top it off,
- 26:59Speaker 1: to to put some salt in the wound that night,
- 27:02Speaker 1: I'm going to sleep, right. It was like I was
- 27:04Speaker 1: in bed and she was facetiming Haley in the kitchen
- 27:06Speaker 1: and I hear Haley say like, Babe, you're my best
- 27:09Speaker 1: friend and I'm and I miss you so much, I know,
- 27:14Speaker 1: and I'm like, this is what I was for.
- 27:17Speaker 2: I was trying. There's this trend on TikTok whets like
- 27:20Speaker 2: I'm going to say everything twice, like you repeat everything
- 27:23Speaker 2: twice that you say and see if your friend or
- 27:25Speaker 2: partner notices. So we were in bed and I was
- 27:28Speaker 2: doing it and you can just see my face, and
- 27:30Speaker 2: so I'm like starting, I'm like saying things twice and
- 27:34Speaker 2: she goes into this rant. She was like, Babe, I'm
- 27:37Speaker 2: just beaming with love for you. I love you so much.
- 27:40Speaker 2: You're my favorite person. It's the cutest thing ever. Because
- 27:43Speaker 2: I got her like I'm trying to do this brank
- 27:45Speaker 2: and I'm like dying a lot. She's not catching on
- 27:49Speaker 2: to everything I'm saying. And I was like, Tanya would
- 27:51Speaker 2: love this. This is literally the dream. I love it too.
- 27:56Speaker 2: It's shocking. I love it.
- 27:57Speaker 1: Yeah, it's just so, it's so it only from Haley
- 28:00Speaker 1: because when I'm texting you.
- 28:02Speaker 2: Yeah, it does have its limits. Yeah, well then.
- 28:10Speaker 1: Shall we do erin?
- 28:11Speaker 3: Not yet?
- 28:12Speaker 2: Oh yeah, we need one more. We need one more
- 28:14Speaker 2: before aaron.
- 28:15Speaker 3: Another break to Oh my god, here we go. That's
- 28:36Speaker 3: a cute. Anonymous Dear Banya high scrubbing in gang. First
- 28:40Speaker 3: of all, love all of you. Just came back from
- 28:42Speaker 3: a trip and bingaged the podcast on my thirteen hour flight,
- 28:46Speaker 3: and it made the flight easier to get through. Wow,
- 28:48Speaker 3: there's a lot of scrubbing in right there. Really simple
- 28:51Speaker 3: ask of a question for advice, How do I have
- 28:55Speaker 3: just a great makeout session? I sometimes just want a healthy,
- 29:00Speaker 3: long make out session with my boyfriend, But five minutes in,
- 29:04Speaker 3: he always wants to do more, he says, as you
- 29:06Speaker 3: take that as a compliment that I turn him on.
- 29:08Speaker 3: But for me, I'm good with just the kissing sometimes.
- 29:11Speaker 3: Thanks for keeping me company on my plane ride.
- 29:16Speaker 1: You know, one man's pie is another man's pleasure. Because
- 29:21Speaker 1: it's like someone out there might be saying, how can
- 29:24Speaker 1: I get my guy to boink me more? You know?
- 29:27Speaker 4: Sure?
- 29:27Speaker 1: Yeah, so it's so interesting, it's so interesting. Life is
- 29:32Speaker 1: so interesting, right.
- 29:33Speaker 2: But what's what's your advice? Just to her?
- 29:36Speaker 3: Why?
- 29:36Speaker 1: I mean, to me, the more the merrier, So I'd
- 29:38Speaker 1: be like, welcome.
- 29:40Speaker 3: You're like the escalation.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Yeah, like I'm I'm I am her boyfriend in this
- 29:45Speaker 1: Yeah you are, yeah, taking any time any place. But yeah,
- 29:51Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know how to answer that.
- 29:53Speaker 7: Well.
- 29:53Speaker 2: I feel like maybe the guys can answer, because I
- 29:55Speaker 2: feel like I think that they're well. I was gonna
- 29:58Speaker 2: say different for guys, because like you know, if they
- 30:03Speaker 2: get turned on there, like.
- 30:04Speaker 1: Right, their wand wands can't.
- 30:06Speaker 2: Just collapse their mental wand.
- 30:08Speaker 1: Magic wand Oh can't just collapse.
- 30:11Speaker 2: I mean it can it will.
- 30:13Speaker 1: Isn't that painful?
- 30:14Speaker 3: No, that's not it. That's a myth.
- 30:15Speaker 1: Oh my god, I thought it was painful.
- 30:17Speaker 3: No, it comes, it goes by the way. By the
- 30:19Speaker 3: way it comes, It goes randomly. It comes, it goes
- 30:22Speaker 3: for no particular reasons, such a fascinating thing with the
- 30:29Speaker 3: wand in the morning. It doesn't mean we were dreaming
- 30:31Speaker 3: about sex.
- 30:32Speaker 1: That's that's what you Okay, Yeah, it does. I mean
- 30:36Speaker 1: something was going on that head.
- 30:37Speaker 3: It means absolutely nothing.
- 30:39Speaker 4: It's a it's a it's function that involves blood flow.
- 30:42Speaker 4: That's what.
- 30:43Speaker 3: It's a circuity.
- 30:44Speaker 1: I thought that it hurt if you if the magic
- 30:46Speaker 1: wand it's like, let's say the umbrella opened. I always
- 30:50Speaker 1: thought if it didn't, if the umbrella didn't.
- 30:52Speaker 2: Uh, I don't think you're gonna get it.
- 30:56Speaker 1: If the umbrella didn't shelter you from the rain and
- 31:00Speaker 1: you just put it back down. That I thought it
- 31:03Speaker 1: was hurt.
- 31:03Speaker 3: You know that the blue balls thing is a myth
- 31:06Speaker 3: that guys have used to guilt you with having sex
- 31:09Speaker 3: with them.
- 31:09Speaker 1: That's so gross.
- 31:11Speaker 4: Yeah, there was a post in the Facebook group about
- 31:13Speaker 4: blue balls and it made me so mad.
- 31:15Speaker 2: Because he was comparing to period.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Yeah, not only is it not comparable, that doesn't hurt,
- 31:26Speaker 3: there's no pain whatsoever.
- 31:28Speaker 2: And they're so nice, girls are like, well you know
- 31:30Speaker 2: his feeling. Can we not for a day?
- 31:37Speaker 1: You'd be crying like a baby in pain.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Yeah, Like it makes me so sorry. That sets me up.
- 31:45Speaker 2: I just feel like there should be like, I guess
- 31:47Speaker 2: what what wohen it hurts your feelings that that? Like
- 31:50Speaker 2: if Alice was like I just want to make out
- 31:52Speaker 2: nothing more, what could she say that didn't make you
- 31:55Speaker 2: feel rejected? I guess.
- 31:59Speaker 4: I'm trying to think because I don't know. I do
- 32:02Speaker 4: TM I here, but uh, there was a period in
- 32:04Speaker 4: my life where I was like this dude, you know,
- 32:06Speaker 4: like it started making out and it's like, oh yeah,
- 32:08Speaker 4: you there's a goal here, right, But then something just
- 32:12Speaker 4: clicked and I like prefer making out to the other
- 32:16Speaker 4: stuff often like it's it's it's to me. They're very
- 32:20Speaker 4: different experiences and I don't know, I don't know how
- 32:25Speaker 4: to make that like I don't know how to say
- 32:26Speaker 4: that too, you know, like like because.
- 32:32Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 32:32Speaker 4: If someone said to me, like I just want to
- 32:33Speaker 4: make out like I I like to think that I
- 32:35Speaker 4: would interpret it as like, oh, well, we just want
- 32:37Speaker 4: to You just want to enjoy this longer, you know,
- 32:39Speaker 4: like you just want to have that type of connection
- 32:43Speaker 4: on a different level. But like I think if I
- 32:44Speaker 4: was a younger man of bick, oh man, it's just
- 32:47Speaker 4: like me, you know, That's what I would think.
- 32:48Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't think I feel rejected because the fact
- 32:51Speaker 3: that she wants to make out with me is a
- 32:53Speaker 3: compliment in itself, Like I would feel wanted by that,
- 32:56Speaker 3: so I feel rejected. I think my best advice for
- 32:59Speaker 3: her in this situation with this guy who clearly wants
- 33:01Speaker 3: descilate things is to find situations where you don't have
- 33:04Speaker 3: a choice, Like perhaps the first day of your period,
- 33:09Speaker 3: and you have a rule that nothing happens on the
- 33:10Speaker 3: first day of your period, Maybe that's the day to
- 33:13Speaker 3: make out.
- 33:14Speaker 1: One day a month, I mean, better than zero.
- 33:17Speaker 2: Days having a conversation of like I love yeah, pretty
- 33:21Speaker 2: part of this relationship sometimes, Like I know, I take
- 33:26Speaker 2: it as a compliment that you always want to move
- 33:28Speaker 2: forward after we make out. But sometimes for me, I
- 33:31Speaker 2: just want it to be a makeout and then cuddle
- 33:34Speaker 2: or you know, and not be it. And it doesn't
- 33:37Speaker 2: mean that I don't want you. It's just it's just
- 33:39Speaker 2: what I need. And I would hope.
- 33:41Speaker 1: That's very valid. I think like a lot of times
- 33:43Speaker 1: too in relationships, somebody wants to have sex more than
- 33:46Speaker 1: the other person and you just meet in the middle.
- 33:48Speaker 2: That's what I'm saying. I think it's just like how again,
- 33:50Speaker 2: it's the approach of like not making him feel because
- 33:52Speaker 2: he's going to be sensitive about it, and let him
- 33:55Speaker 2: know that you feel so wanted and it's flattering to
- 33:58Speaker 2: you that he wants it to go beyond. But sometimes
- 34:01Speaker 2: you just want a good old fashioned makeout and nothing more.
- 34:03Speaker 3: It'll say great, I agree, that sounds great, and then
- 34:06Speaker 3: when it happens he's going to change his mind.
- 34:09Speaker 1: Well we can cross that bridge.
- 34:10Speaker 2: Well remember our talk.
- 34:13Speaker 3: I mean, yeah, guys need to be trained.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Yeah that's true, But you would hope that he would
- 34:18Speaker 2: get to a point where he would, you know, get
- 34:20Speaker 2: to a point where it's like he could feel comfortable,
- 34:24Speaker 2: they could feel comfortable being like, how are you feeling like?
- 34:26Speaker 2: Is this just a makeout night? Maybe there's a code wordies,
- 34:29Speaker 2: you know.
- 34:30Speaker 4: Like a safe word.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 34:33Speaker 3: All right, let's get to Aaron. These are good questions.
- 34:36Speaker 3: I'm not try to answer these questions, but they're very good. Okay,
- 34:39Speaker 3: maybe go work it out together. Hi, Banya and friends.
- 34:42Speaker 3: Random fun question idea for the pod and she does
- 34:46Speaker 3: all four of us, but we'll do them one at
- 34:47Speaker 3: a time. Becca markne easton, what's the most Tanya thing
- 34:51Speaker 3: You've done lately?
- 34:55Speaker 2: Oh, the most Tanya thing I've done lately is Haley
- 35:01Speaker 2: and I have been getting up and going on walks
- 35:03Speaker 2: together in the morning as like our quality time to
- 35:06Speaker 2: start the day, and it feels very Tanya.
- 35:10Speaker 3: M most Tanya thing I've done lately is I she
- 35:17Speaker 3: a pudding wo because she eats it regularly and I'm
- 35:20Speaker 3: always curious what it tastes like. So I got some
- 35:22Speaker 3: over the weekend and it was delicious, and all I
- 35:25Speaker 3: thought about all lading was Tanya's onto something here.
- 35:28Speaker 1: Thank you. I wish you would feel that way about everything.
- 35:31Speaker 3: I don't.
- 35:32Speaker 1: Okay, you'll get.
- 35:33Speaker 3: There, we'll see Yes, thumbs up.
- 35:37Speaker 4: My mine's also food related. We made a hard pivot
- 35:39Speaker 4: to see it.
- 35:40Speaker 1: Chips nice nice, nice, nice nice.
- 35:43Speaker 2: Wow, I do eat chips on the regular. That is
- 35:47Speaker 2: something I do.
- 35:48Speaker 3: Thank you, Tanya Easton Mark. What's the most Becka thing
- 35:52Speaker 3: you've done lately?
- 35:54Speaker 1: I binged five episodes of a show in one day.
- 35:58Speaker 2: That feels more like you at this point. No, yeah,
- 36:02Speaker 2: I don't really binge a lot of.
- 36:04Speaker 1: TV shows more so than me.
- 36:07Speaker 2: I don't think you watched Survive like you'd binge a lot.
- 36:09Speaker 1: Don't binge I watched one episode a day. There's a difference,
- 36:14Speaker 1: do you think I.
- 36:16Speaker 2: Definitely think you watched way more TV than I do.
- 36:19Speaker 2: I don't really binge a lot of shows, but I
- 36:23Speaker 2: guess I did in my past.
- 36:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 36:26Speaker 3: I think that's our image of you, whether you're sitting
- 36:28Speaker 3: on the couch a lot of TV time.
- 36:31Speaker 2: That's so interesting. Yeah, No, I don't do a lot
- 36:33Speaker 2: of TV time.
- 36:34Speaker 3: So what do you do? Because we've established this week.
- 36:37Speaker 4: You don't so interesting?
- 36:38Speaker 1: Because after hours, like way up to bedtime.
- 36:43Speaker 2: I was literally thinking about that after the last episode,
- 36:45Speaker 2: I was like, what do I do all day?
- 36:50Speaker 1: Because last I saw you were binging just Josie Doanes
- 36:53Speaker 1: in the sixth j Jones six, So I'm not that
- 36:58Speaker 1: far off.
- 36:59Speaker 2: No, but that's it's very rare, like I very rarely
- 37:02Speaker 2: find a show that I love that much to binge,
- 37:04Speaker 2: but I did. I was obsessed with Daisy Jones.
- 37:07Speaker 1: So I'm just saying my my Becca thing is not
- 37:11Speaker 1: off kilter. No, walk us through a day non podcast day.
- 37:15Speaker 2: Oh god, I mean the podcast is like my busiest day.
- 37:19Speaker 2: I wake up, now we go on to walk together.
- 37:23Speaker 2: That's around eight eight thirty. I make breakfast, the healthy
- 37:29Speaker 2: oatmeal waffles, put those in, do the dishes. Then I'll
- 37:34Speaker 2: get ready for the day, make my bed, do my
- 37:38Speaker 2: hair and makeup, pick out an outfit, and then typically
- 37:41Speaker 2: I have stuff to film for like word, like Instagram
- 37:43Speaker 2: stuff like stuff I have to film and I can
- 37:46Speaker 2: take that actually can take a long time if I'm
- 37:49Speaker 2: doing like reels and stuff, that can really take a
- 37:51Speaker 2: long time because I have to edit and everything. I
- 37:52Speaker 2: edit all my own stuff. So I do have some
- 37:54Speaker 2: stuff to do during the day if I'm busy.
- 37:56Speaker 1: Even shooting those bad Boys.
- 37:58Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a lot and one woman show. Yeah, I
- 38:04Speaker 2: literally don't know. I don't do things like I'm not
- 38:07Speaker 2: like I like to a shop. I go like, I
- 38:12Speaker 2: literally don't know what I do think about it?
- 38:14Speaker 1: So like let's even say that that the shooting the
- 38:16Speaker 1: videos and editing them takes you four hours after breakfast.
- 38:20Speaker 1: That's like that takes you like one pm. What do
- 38:23Speaker 1: I do?
- 38:24Speaker 2: I don't I do? Like lately, I've been trying to
- 38:27Speaker 2: go in like a like an afternoon walk again.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Okay, that's it now it's too hot now, isn't it.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Just this past week down? And then Haley gets home
- 38:38Speaker 2: like five or six, and then we have dinner and
- 38:41Speaker 2: stuff together. So like there's a chunk of time where
- 38:43Speaker 2: I don't really know.
- 38:44Speaker 1: Right, there's like a two or three window.
- 38:45Speaker 2: But it changes every day, Like I'm not doing the
- 38:47Speaker 2: same thing every day, Like I'm not in like a routine,
- 38:49Speaker 2: so it does like change up. But yeah, I was
- 38:52Speaker 2: thinking after the last episode of like what do I
- 38:54Speaker 2: spend my time doing for so many hours of the day.
- 38:56Speaker 2: You know?
- 38:57Speaker 1: What's interesting what I found with myself is like the
- 39:00Speaker 1: days where I have a crazy jam pack schedule, I
- 39:03Speaker 1: will be more efficient and get more done when I
- 39:05Speaker 1: have so much going on in my day than I do.
- 39:07Speaker 1: Like on Labor Day, I was like this is my
- 39:10Speaker 1: day to this is my g get done day, Like
- 39:12Speaker 1: this was the day that we just We're gonna sit
- 39:15Speaker 1: and just get stuff done. And I had a list
- 39:18Speaker 1: of like twenty things, and I'd say I got to
- 39:20Speaker 1: like seven of them, okay, and I had the whole day,
- 39:24Speaker 1: Like what did I do with this day? I only
- 39:26Speaker 1: did seven of my twenty things?
- 39:28Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 39:29Speaker 1: Yeah, but I think it was because I had no
- 39:31Speaker 1: structure to.
- 39:32Speaker 2: My day, right, it makes sense.
- 39:34Speaker 1: Yeah, So I can see where because I was like
- 39:37Speaker 1: it came six pm, and I was like, we gotta
- 39:39Speaker 1: watch our show and go to bed.
- 39:42Speaker 2: Yeah what show?
- 39:43Speaker 3: Americans?
- 39:45Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, I'll I'll be more aware of what I'm
- 39:49Speaker 2: doing on those days so I can report back way tomorrow.
- 39:51Speaker 1: This will be a fun game tomorrow. Why don't you
- 39:53Speaker 1: make all tomorrow of.
- 39:54Speaker 2: A busy day? Tomorrow a busy day. Well, okay, so
- 39:57Speaker 2: I didn't talk about this, but I did something to
- 39:59Speaker 2: my back where like it hurts so bad to turn
- 40:01Speaker 2: my neck, like I have to turn like my body
- 40:03Speaker 2: like this or like setting pain. But I Haley goes
- 40:07Speaker 2: to acupuncture all the time, and she's like, will you
- 40:09Speaker 2: please go see my acupuncture? So I went this morning,
- 40:11Speaker 2: and she's like, come tomorrow and then Friday. So tomorrow
- 40:15Speaker 2: I have acupuncture, I have the dentist, which is my nightmare,
- 40:19Speaker 2: and then Laura comes into town.
- 40:22Speaker 1: Okay, so tomorrow is a bad, bad example.
- 40:24Speaker 2: Tomorrow is gonna be busy. Yeah, actually the rest of
- 40:26Speaker 2: the week because Laura's in town. So I'm gonna be
- 40:28Speaker 2: hostess with the mistess.
- 40:30Speaker 1: Okay, so maybe next week we revisit this.
- 40:32Speaker 3: Yeah, well I have my answer. I'm the most Becca
- 40:35Speaker 3: thing I've inmationally. A Saturday night, I had a burger
- 40:37Speaker 3: and fries.
- 40:39Speaker 2: Wow.
- 40:39Speaker 3: It was an impossible burger, but still it felt very decadent.
- 40:42Speaker 4: And where was it from?
- 40:45Speaker 3: That's uh, we're up in OHI all right, Yeah it
- 40:47Speaker 3: was really good.
- 40:48Speaker 2: Yeah, very and I Becca with the impossible burger burger
- 40:51Speaker 2: fries is as good as it's gonna get.
- 40:54Speaker 3: I think. So I slept with a woman. Does that count?
- 40:57Speaker 2: What? Yeah?
- 40:58Speaker 3: Okay, great, there we go, there we go.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Wow, that's the most thing.
- 41:07Speaker 4: I'm sorry to make this about fast food again, but uh,
- 41:10Speaker 4: when I got home from d C, I landed late
- 41:14Speaker 4: at night and I was sexting Alison. I'm like, which
- 41:16Speaker 4: did you eat? Like, I'm good and I'm like, all right,
- 41:18Speaker 4: I'm starving. I went through the Taco Bell drive through.
- 41:21Speaker 4: I got a crunch trap with three cheese and stead
- 41:23Speaker 4: nota cha cheese, and I got cheeseygordy to crunch and
- 41:25Speaker 4: I got a large pepsi down. It was so good.
- 41:31Speaker 4: But I never I don't go to Taco Bell almost
- 41:33Speaker 4: ever anymore because Elison has never been to Taco Bell.
- 41:36Speaker 4: Allison has never had it, So it's not part of
- 41:39Speaker 4: our routine.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Is that like a thing that she's anti?
- 41:42Speaker 4: She just it's just never come up. It's never come
- 41:44Speaker 4: across her desk.
- 41:44Speaker 2: I don't know how how do I make it come
- 41:47Speaker 2: across us.
- 41:48Speaker 4: She would do it for you if you wanted to
- 41:49Speaker 4: go talk about with her, she would do that. Yeah,
- 41:52Speaker 4: but uh, I crave it a lot, and I feel
- 41:55Speaker 4: like I have like a mistress, like when Alison's like
- 41:56Speaker 4: out of town or something like myll.
- 41:59Speaker 1: Is damn good, so good. So it is really good.
- 42:02Speaker 4: Of all the major chains, I think they're the most
- 42:04Speaker 4: consistently good.
- 42:05Speaker 2: Especially when it just hits hits no matter what, sober, drunk, high, whatever.
- 42:11Speaker 1: Yeah, it hits. Yeah, alright, that's very.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Beck, Tanya, Beca and Mark what's the most Eastern thing
- 42:18Speaker 3: you've done lately. I haven't been a Chooesta factory in
- 42:22Speaker 3: a while, So I.
- 42:23Speaker 1: Have two things. One of them's food related. I ordered
- 42:28Speaker 1: these like very decadent donuts that had all these different
- 42:31Speaker 1: designs on them. Yeah, and I ate one felt very Eastern.
- 42:38Speaker 1: And my crocs, the crocs that I wear often, they
- 42:40Speaker 1: that feels like Eastern to me.
- 42:43Speaker 2: Yeah, I would say. I was gonna say my buying
- 42:45Speaker 2: crocs for my ziplining excursion was a very east like.
- 42:49Speaker 2: I thought about Eastern the whole time, and I was like,
- 42:52Speaker 2: for some reason, they don't. I never am like, wow,
- 42:55Speaker 2: those are so ugly when I see Eastern war them.
- 42:58Speaker 2: But when I put them.
- 42:59Speaker 6: On, I was like, I've never felt worse about myself.
- 43:02Speaker 2: I know.
- 43:04Speaker 1: It's a weird thing because you feel so bad about
- 43:06Speaker 1: yourself and yet so comfortable at the same time. So
- 43:09Speaker 1: really is like this thing that tugs it.
- 43:10Speaker 2: It's like that there's something about Easton in them that
- 43:13Speaker 2: doesn't like I'm not like even Hailey was like.
- 43:17Speaker 1: The gibbets, you need gibbets.
- 43:19Speaker 2: Yeah, gibbet don't know. Hailey was like, I thought I
- 43:23Speaker 2: was gonna feel like people make them look so cool,
- 43:26Speaker 2: and they looked so ugly on me. But I did
- 43:31Speaker 2: get them.
- 43:31Speaker 4: I'm sure you're comfortable.
- 43:33Speaker 2: I did not, but they were so comfortable. So there
- 43:37Speaker 2: was I ate something too that I thought, Oh, I
- 43:40Speaker 2: did the trend where you line I don't know if
- 43:43Speaker 2: you would actually do this, but I feel like you'd
- 43:45Speaker 2: be interested in trying it, where you line the cup
- 43:47Speaker 2: with marshmallow fluff and then you you don't drink, Do
- 43:50Speaker 2: you drink? You drink?
- 43:52Speaker 4: I drink.
- 43:52Speaker 2: So I tried the Doctor Shepper and pickles. That was
- 43:57Speaker 2: the most easting thing I've ever done. Yeah, is Doctor
- 44:00Speaker 2: Pepper died Doctor Prepper with pickle bits and juice in it.
- 44:04Speaker 2: And I don't really anything with doctor Pepper good enough.
- 44:11Speaker 2: I love Doctor Pepper.
- 44:15Speaker 1: I can't tell you the last time I had it.
- 44:17Speaker 2: I can't When in Palm Springs, my sonic dirty Doctor Pepper,
- 44:21Speaker 2: Dirty Doctor Pepper, which is coconut cream, lime and doctor Pepper. Wow,
- 44:26Speaker 2: she kept reaching for it and I was like, don't
- 44:28Speaker 2: drink all that please?
- 44:29Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's what they say.
- 44:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 44:34Speaker 3: I don't have a good answer for this. I'm sorry.
- 44:36Speaker 3: I I My best answer is that I engineered my
- 44:39Speaker 3: own audio last week when Eastern was gone processing. Notice
- 44:45Speaker 3: this sound a little more low end.
- 44:47Speaker 4: On the Listen to wind out Jane Kramer this week.
- 44:50Speaker 4: See how he did.
- 44:50Speaker 3: You know what's funny?
- 44:51Speaker 2: Though?
- 44:52Speaker 4: What's it?
- 44:53Speaker 3: One of our producers emailed like, this sounds different than usual.
- 44:57Speaker 3: I think we can do to fix them. I don't know.
- 45:01Speaker 2: What you get.
- 45:02Speaker 3: It sounds different because Eastern's going, but I don't know
- 45:04Speaker 3: what else to do. So I did it poorly, but
- 45:06Speaker 3: I did part of it.
- 45:08Speaker 7: Wow.
- 45:09Speaker 3: And finally telling you back in Easton, what's the most
- 45:11Speaker 3: mark thing you've done lately?
- 45:14Speaker 1: Ah? I tried to. I have been trying to convince
- 45:20Speaker 1: Robbie that we should have dedicated days of the week
- 45:23Speaker 1: with our food.
- 45:24Speaker 3: I think it makes life simpler.
- 45:25Speaker 1: I think so too, That is what I'm trying to say.
- 45:28Speaker 1: I'm like, we'll go to the grocery store once a week.
- 45:31Speaker 1: We'll get us through, you know, Monday through Friday, and
- 45:33Speaker 1: then have a little fun on the weekends. Yes, but
- 45:35Speaker 1: every day has its meal.
- 45:37Speaker 3: The other day you mentioned that with Ryan the other
- 45:39Speaker 3: day and Sis and he said, oh, I could never
- 45:40Speaker 3: do that. My life too hectic, And I was like, no,
- 45:42Speaker 3: that's the point makes it.
- 45:44Speaker 1: Yeah, you don't have to choose what do I feel like?
- 45:47Speaker 3: You don't that's so much?
- 45:48Speaker 1: And what do I have in the fridge? It's just there?
- 45:51Speaker 3: So that's the that's good.
- 45:53Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean that.
- 45:54Speaker 2: How do you beat that?
- 45:59Speaker 4: I have any more time?
- 46:02Speaker 1: Uh?
- 46:03Speaker 4: The most? Oh okay, well well I'm going now, Yeah,
- 46:07Speaker 4: I have the floor. When we were we were in
- 46:09Speaker 4: Denver this weekend and we're driving around and I was like,
- 46:14Speaker 4: we got to go check out Course Field. We gotta go.
- 46:17Speaker 4: It was nighttime, there was a game going on actually
- 46:20Speaker 4: they were playing. It was a Friday night, and uh,
