- 0:02Speaker 1: This past week. Okay, it's been.
- 0:05Speaker 2: It's I'm so excited on Friday, Corey is so excited
- 0:08Speaker 2: to find out, Hey, are we boy mom and dad
- 0:11Speaker 2: or girl mom and dad?
- 0:12Speaker 3: This is oh my gosh, that's like the next thing
- 0:14Speaker 3: you look forward to, right, like you announced your having
- 0:16Speaker 3: the baby.
- 0:17Speaker 4: But then I'm like, okay, but what is the baby
- 0:19Speaker 4: gonna be?
- 0:20Speaker 1: Yeah, and so we'll find out on Friday.
- 0:22Speaker 2: I'm excited to tell you in seven days if I
- 0:25Speaker 2: will be girl dad or boy dad. And there's just
- 0:27Speaker 2: kind of a ton of reflection, at least for me,
- 0:28Speaker 2: it's like, oh man, how awesome my parents were. You
- 0:32Speaker 2: know what it was like growing up? Things my dad
- 0:34Speaker 2: did that you know, I loved, and things he did
- 0:37Speaker 2: that I hated. And I'm gonna be different, you know.
- 0:39Speaker 2: And I was just thinking, man, you know how many
- 0:42Speaker 2: times we had one of those like don't tell mom
- 0:44Speaker 2: about this moment?
- 0:45Speaker 4: Oh my gosh. Yeah.
- 0:47Speaker 3: I feel like dads have those moments more than moms.
- 0:50Speaker 2: All first, one hundred percent, all right, And so I
- 0:54Speaker 2: asked you, and you did not disappoint seven oh one.
- 0:57Speaker 2: By the way, if you want to chime in today,
- 0:59Speaker 2: seven oh one two eight zero one eight seven, and
- 1:02Speaker 2: you know what, Dad's I'll even let you remain anonymous
- 1:05Speaker 2: if you'd like. Did you ever have a don't tell
- 1:07Speaker 2: mom about this moment? Did you ever have one? Angie?
- 1:11Speaker 3: You know what My ex he all kind of don't
- 1:16Speaker 3: tell mom mom, But my kids are snitches.
- 1:20Speaker 4: Yeah, so they would always tell me.
- 1:22Speaker 3: And I think at some level, like Dad always knew
- 1:25Speaker 3: I was gonna find out.
- 1:26Speaker 4: It was just a matter of when.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Yeah, And it.
- 1:29Speaker 3: Was usually you know, he let them watch something that
- 1:33Speaker 3: I wouldn't let.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Them watch or stay up to say up to it.
- 1:37Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:37Speaker 4: You know what I.
- 1:39Speaker 3: Found out is that over the summer they went to
- 1:42Speaker 3: go visit Dad, and you know, they stayed for however
- 1:44Speaker 3: many months, and the kids came back and they were like, yeah,
- 1:47Speaker 3: we got to stay up till three am every night,
- 1:51Speaker 3: three am every night.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Nothing good happens after one am.
- 1:55Speaker 4: No exactly, but you know whatever, I wasn't there, so.
- 2:00Speaker 1: That it is well.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I asked the fathers this on Big ninety eight point
- 2:03Speaker 2: seven's Facebook page, and Tracy Brown replied with, nice try, mom.
- 2:11Speaker 2: There's kind of a lot of that going on. Josh said,
- 2:14Speaker 2: I'm not falling for this one. Nice try, Big ninety
- 2:17Speaker 2: eight point seven. We also had Jenna who or yeah,
- 2:20Speaker 2: Jenna who said, my husband just looked at me and smiled.
- 2:25Speaker 2: Dad's doing their best to stay on the good side
- 2:28Speaker 2: of things here. We did have Tony, who said had
- 2:31Speaker 2: them all the time for my paw when I was little,
- 2:33Speaker 2: and he would get his bonus from work. He would
- 2:36Speaker 2: upgrade everything from depth finders to like golf clubs. It
- 2:40Speaker 2: must have happened about fifty times. I do wonder who
- 2:44Speaker 2: does that more. Probably Dad, like, don't tell Mom I
- 2:47Speaker 2: bought this, because Mom would just say I bought it, right, Na.
- 2:51Speaker 3: Uh no, Actually I think there's a good Yeah, yeah,
- 2:56Speaker 3: I like that.
- 2:57Speaker 2: Danielle said, I'll share for him because my usually find
- 3:01Speaker 2: out anyway true flying a drone into our son's face
- 3:04Speaker 2: and gashing him right above the eyelid. Dad said he
- 3:07Speaker 2: must have ran into something, and then Albert said, nope,
- 3:13Speaker 2: not to be mentioned ever. So seven oh one two
- 3:17Speaker 2: eight zero one nine eight seven, we'll let you remain anonymous.
- 3:20Speaker 1: If maybe it has been eating.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Away at your core and you're like, you know what,
- 3:25Speaker 2: today's day, I get this lifted off my chest and
- 3:27Speaker 2: I'm gonna share with big ninety eight point seven. I'm
- 3:29Speaker 2: not gonna tell him my name, and you'll just feel
- 3:32Speaker 2: a lot better about it.
- 3:32Speaker 3: I think you should reach out seven oh one too,
- 3:35Speaker 3: eight oh one, nine eight seven, absolve yourself.
- 3:38Speaker 2: I have one of those dads who's like sort of
- 3:40Speaker 2: just accidentally honest all the time. You know, he kind
- 3:43Speaker 2: of doesn't really care about your feelings. He doesn't care
- 3:45Speaker 2: if you like him or don't like him. He couldn't
- 3:47Speaker 2: care less. There was one time I remember, and I
- 3:50Speaker 2: was like an adult, I was nineteen, and we were
- 3:54Speaker 2: moving me out of my college dorm and there was this,
- 3:58Speaker 2: I mean really just croddy, super cheap like mirror that
- 4:03Speaker 2: you could like see your outfit in. Basically, I don't
- 4:06Speaker 2: really know how else to explain it, but yeah, it
- 4:07Speaker 2: was a full length mirror, but it was just this
- 4:09Speaker 2: cruddy thing that I like, cracked and whatever. And I
- 4:12Speaker 2: was like, Dad, I think I'm just gonna throw this away, like,
- 4:14Speaker 2: I know, Mom probably wants me to bring this home.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It was twelve dollars, I'll just give her the twelve dollars, yeah,
- 4:19Speaker 2: and he was We just toss it out the window
- 4:22Speaker 2: into the big giant garbage bin below my dorm and
- 4:25Speaker 2: we were both just like never telling momm.
- 4:32Speaker 5: Celebrating life's little victories every morning we practice gratitude on
- 4:37Speaker 5: Big ninety eight point seven.
- 4:39Speaker 4: If I could, I would keep this feeling in a
- 4:41Speaker 4: past job busted out when it was someone's acting hard.
- 4:45Speaker 5: Sure your little victories with us at seven oh one
- 4:48Speaker 5: two one ninety eight seven kids.
- 4:50Speaker 1: I also needed to win that day, and we asked
- 4:53Speaker 1: and we have received.
- 4:54Speaker 2: Angie, I I had, you know, just given a little
- 4:58Speaker 2: I don't know what it would be, maybe some inspiration,
- 5:00Speaker 2: like hey, did you watch some hockey yesterday and the
- 5:02Speaker 2: family got involved and it was just a lot of fun,
- 5:04Speaker 2: A little victory for you. Well, we did get a
- 5:07Speaker 2: text from Vicky she said little victory for our family yesterday.
- 5:10Speaker 2: We set the alarms for six am, got the kids
- 5:14Speaker 2: wrapped in blankets on the couch, made breakfast, and watched
- 5:17Speaker 2: Team USA beat Canada for gold.
- 5:19Speaker 1: Together. Nobody hit this news.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Nobody complained it totally worth the early wake up for
- 5:25Speaker 2: that win from Vicky today.
- 5:27Speaker 4: Oh I love this.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Oh if they made breakfast, do you think they had
- 5:31Speaker 3: maple syrup on their pancakes to troll?
- 5:34Speaker 2: Oh that'd be wonderful. I mean, what is Canada doesn't
- 5:36Speaker 2: even have hockey anymore. You know, I actually, and I
- 5:39Speaker 2: don't mean to derail we're doing because I do want
- 5:41Speaker 2: to hear your little victory today.
- 5:42Speaker 1: But what does Canada do now? Okay?
- 5:44Speaker 2: They literally had like one gold medal that they cheated
- 5:49Speaker 2: to win, and now they don't have hockey anymore.
- 5:52Speaker 4: They have universal healthcare.
- 5:54Speaker 2: Yeah, they got some mark, Angie. What what's your little
- 5:57Speaker 2: victory this morning?
- 5:58Speaker 3: I did.
- 5:59Speaker 1: What do you do if you're hint Canadian today? You
- 6:01Speaker 1: talk about?
- 6:03Speaker 3: Yeah, no, you go to sleep, You sleep in and
- 6:06Speaker 3: avoid the news. My little victory is that my boyfriend Mikey,
- 6:11Speaker 3: who we have a bit of an age gap. He's
- 6:14Speaker 3: twenty two years older than me. Sure, so he's sixty.
- 6:17Speaker 3: Don't do the math and find out how old I
- 6:19Speaker 3: am anyway, because there's a bit of a generational divide.
- 6:23Speaker 3: He does not typically listen to Big ninety eight point
- 6:26Speaker 3: seven for the music.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Sure, Taylor Swift doesn't really write in songs.
- 6:30Speaker 4: Yeah no, no, no no.
- 6:31Speaker 3: He usually listens to The Fox and we love the Fox.
- 6:34Speaker 4: Yeah great, dave a R dudes, But sir, listen to
- 6:38Speaker 4: the station that your girlfriend is on.
- 6:40Speaker 3: But on the way to work today he told me
- 6:43Speaker 3: that he's starting to like some.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Of the music we play.
- 6:46Speaker 3: Wow. So the two songs that he's into right now
- 6:50Speaker 3: Messy by Lola Young, Okay, he's fascinated that it's a
- 6:54Speaker 3: song not about a relationship, a romantic relationship, but a
- 6:58Speaker 3: relationship with her mother. So words really hit for him.
- 7:01Speaker 3: So he really likes that. And then the second song
- 7:05Speaker 3: before he told me what it was, he said, I
- 7:07Speaker 3: don't know if this is gonna make me sound dorky,
- 7:10Speaker 3: said why what? And he loves the fate of Ophelia.
- 7:15Speaker 1: Oh sure, So.
- 7:16Speaker 4: Taylor Swift is doing it for him. Yeah, that's a
- 7:19Speaker 4: little victory.
- 7:20Speaker 3: Anytime I can get Mikey listening to Big ninety eight
- 7:23Speaker 3: point seven, I feel good about it. Yeah.
- 7:25Speaker 2: It is kind of funny no matter what station I've
- 7:27Speaker 2: been on, because in my radio life, I have been on,
- 7:30Speaker 2: you know, stations like Big ninety eight point seven. I've
- 7:32Speaker 2: been on rock stations. I've also done like country stations around. Wow,
- 7:37Speaker 2: it's kind of interesting that no matter what station I've
- 7:41Speaker 2: been on, Right, if my parents listen on like the
- 7:43Speaker 2: app or whatever at their house in Minneapolis, which I
- 7:46Speaker 2: don't think they do a ton of, but you know,
- 7:48Speaker 2: once in a while to be like, oh, I was
- 7:49Speaker 2: Gabe spewing him out today.
- 7:50Speaker 1: We already got to talk to him at Christmas.
- 7:52Speaker 2: It is kind of funny that no matter what station,
- 7:55Speaker 2: what the music is, there's always like a couple of songs.
- 7:58Speaker 2: My seventy plus year old dad will be like, oh, yeah,
- 8:01Speaker 2: I kind of like that song.
- 8:02Speaker 4: I love that.
- 8:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's awesome. Well, thank you, Mikey. We really appreciate
- 8:06Speaker 2: you here on Big ninety eight point seven. You can't
- 8:08Speaker 2: pumping out them Taylor Swift song. What is your little victory?
- 8:12Speaker 1: My little victory?
- 8:13Speaker 2: You know, obviously we're going to talk today about the
- 8:16Speaker 2: United States winning the Golden Medal, I mean one of
- 8:18Speaker 2: the It brought me instantly back to my college dorm
- 8:22Speaker 2: in twenty ten when they lost to Canada in overtime.
- 8:26Speaker 2: I was talking to a bunch of my buddies, you know, before, during,
- 8:29Speaker 2: and after the game, and I guess that would be
- 8:32Speaker 2: my little victory as I got to just you know,
- 8:34Speaker 2: chitchat with some friends that I talked to a lot
- 8:36Speaker 2: of my buddies quite a bit, but I just got
- 8:38Speaker 2: to kind of spend a day watching a game with
- 8:40Speaker 2: them via phone. That's really so it was kind of Yeah,
- 8:43Speaker 2: it was kind of cool just to have that Sunday
- 8:45Speaker 2: with them, and my wife even got up and watched
- 8:48Speaker 2: a chunk of the game, and it's kind of the
- 8:50Speaker 2: only really sport I'm into that she'll tolerate for the
- 8:53Speaker 2: most part is hockey, and she was very, very excited
- 8:56Speaker 2: for you know, for me being part of the team obviously,
- 9:00Speaker 2: as I've been right basically that's right.
- 9:04Speaker 1: But it was just fun.
- 9:05Speaker 2: It was really cool to kind of chitch out with
- 9:06Speaker 2: my buddies and just talk some hockey for a little
- 9:08Speaker 2: bit yesterday morning at you know, like seven ams.
- 9:11Speaker 4: That is incredibly wholesome.
- 9:13Speaker 3: I picture you looking at your phone with just a
- 9:15Speaker 3: little smirk on your face, like, oh, guys, we did it.
- 9:24Speaker 2: After being inspired and watching what felt like curling for
- 9:28Speaker 2: two and a half weeks because of the Olympics, your
- 9:31Speaker 2: boy tried curling.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Here in the FM area.
- 9:37Speaker 2: A big shout out to the Fargo Curling Club, which obviously,
- 9:42Speaker 2: you know, people from Minnesota go over there and curl
- 9:44Speaker 2: as well.
- 9:45Speaker 1: But it was so fun.
- 9:49Speaker 2: That is one of the most fun I think I've had,
- 9:52Speaker 2: just like doing random stuff.
- 9:57Speaker 1: Maybe I think so obviously.
- 9:59Speaker 2: To start off my twenty twenty six, but in a
- 10:01Speaker 2: good handful of months just going there and doing something
- 10:04Speaker 2: that you have no experience doing and doing it with
- 10:08Speaker 2: a bunch of people who are all trying to learn.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And I basically just was there myself. My wife was
- 10:13Speaker 2: there and like, got some videos which we will have
- 10:15Speaker 2: for you later on today on the Big ninety eight
- 10:17Speaker 2: point seven Facebook page.
- 10:18Speaker 4: But okay, because I need to see this.
- 10:20Speaker 2: In action, because I didn't know a single person there.
- 10:23Speaker 2: It's like, you know, the person who goes to the
- 10:25Speaker 2: concert themselves, or they go to the movies themselves, or
- 10:28Speaker 2: that's sort of what it felt like.
- 10:30Speaker 1: And the group I ended up kind of being with it.
- 10:33Speaker 1: They were all awesome.
- 10:34Speaker 2: Everyone was so nice that everyone was so supportive, and
- 10:36Speaker 2: we just had a great time.
- 10:38Speaker 1: And I will say.
- 10:40Speaker 4: This is what I was waiting for.
- 10:42Speaker 1: I will say, Angie, your boy.
- 10:45Speaker 2: By the end of this curling session, because you know,
- 10:49Speaker 2: you start off for like twenty minutes, fifteen ish minutes,
- 10:52Speaker 2: they just go over some safety things because the ice
- 10:56Speaker 2: in a curling club, it is so hard to explain,
- 11:00Speaker 2: but it's not like the ice when you go outside
- 11:03Speaker 2: and potentially like slip and fall. It's not like that
- 11:06Speaker 2: it's not like like hockey skating ice, if I could
- 11:10Speaker 2: compare it to anything, it's almost just like a really
- 11:14Speaker 2: hard plastic. It's kind of hard. It's kind of hard
- 11:17Speaker 2: to explain. Obviously it is cold, right, but it's it's
- 11:21Speaker 2: not the same as the ice when you walk out
- 11:23Speaker 2: or you go on the pond and you got your
- 11:25Speaker 2: skates on.
- 11:25Speaker 4: It's a bit interesting.
- 11:27Speaker 1: Yeah, it's a bit different. So we you learn.
- 11:30Speaker 2: You just go over safety stuff for the first like
- 11:32Speaker 2: fifteen minutes, Like, hey, put on this rubber thing on
- 11:35Speaker 2: your shoe because one of the shoes has hard plastic
- 11:37Speaker 2: underneath to allow you to slide, and the other one
- 11:40Speaker 2: has you know, like a grip for you to push
- 11:42Speaker 2: or whatever. And you just got to go over these
- 11:44Speaker 2: safety things. And then you practice like kicking off from
- 11:48Speaker 2: the blocks or like the shoot and you just start
- 11:51Speaker 2: hucking rocks down this thing and it was a blast.
- 11:56Speaker 2: They you know, you can even have a beer while
- 11:58Speaker 2: you do it. There's beer League curlinghe and it was
- 12:02Speaker 2: so much fun. I could not recommend it more. They
- 12:05Speaker 2: have another Learning to Curl coming up. I believe it's
- 12:08Speaker 2: in March, Yeah, March thirteenth and fourteenth. I think I'm
- 12:13Speaker 2: signing up and I want to go again.
- 12:15Speaker 3: By the end of this what what were you about
- 12:19Speaker 3: to boast?
- 12:19Speaker 1: Oh?
- 12:20Speaker 2: Oh oh, So like all great athletes do angie? Okay,
- 12:25Speaker 2: our team had three players, the other team had four.
- 12:28Speaker 2: We just kind of had an odd number, which you know,
- 12:30Speaker 2: at the end of the day it doesn't really matter.
- 12:32Speaker 1: But we we just played games.
- 12:34Speaker 2: You literally just practice throw in the rock, sweep in
- 12:37Speaker 2: and trying to land it in this little you know,
- 12:39Speaker 2: the button is what they call it there, but the circle. Yeah, okay,
- 12:43Speaker 2: And like all great athletes, we were down three to
- 12:46Speaker 2: zero with about three minutes left before they were going
- 12:49Speaker 2: to end you know, our time there because we were
- 12:51Speaker 2: there for two hours, okay, And like all great athletes,
- 12:55Speaker 2: your boy comes up clutch with a big three banger
- 12:59Speaker 2: to tie the game, and we go out on a
- 13:02Speaker 2: tie with these dudes we were playing with, and ever,
- 13:04Speaker 2: it was just so fun. By the end of it,
- 13:08Speaker 2: I really started to get the touchdown and and I
- 13:11Speaker 2: was kind of I was within the blue circle. I
- 13:14Speaker 2: would say, like starting halfway through, like eighty percent of
- 13:19Speaker 2: the time.
- 13:19Speaker 3: This is what I love about you game is the
- 13:23Speaker 3: cockiness to.
- 13:25Speaker 4: Go out on a tie.
- 13:27Speaker 1: We lose it.
- 13:28Speaker 2: We had to rotate throwing right, so I had to
- 13:31Speaker 2: throw last. So my teammate got to throw three rocks.
- 13:33Speaker 2: My other teammate got to throw three rocks, and then
- 13:35Speaker 2: I got to throw two, and then we just rotate.
- 13:38Speaker 2: So it went three three two three three two three
- 13:40Speaker 2: three two. And I hadn't thrown yet because I had
- 13:43Speaker 2: to sweep for a while and the other one I
- 13:45Speaker 2: had to stand there and be the skip, which is
- 13:47Speaker 2: where you help the dude line up.
- 13:48Speaker 1: What have you?
- 13:49Speaker 4: What would you say you're better at sweeping? Or what
- 13:52Speaker 4: is it called when you throw the rock?
- 13:55Speaker 1: You're just the curler. Okay, I don't exactly curling, I'll
- 14:02Speaker 1: be honest with you, Angie.
- 14:04Speaker 2: In our group of about seven eight dudes or what
- 14:07Speaker 2: seven seven dudes?
- 14:08Speaker 4: Mm?
- 14:09Speaker 2: Oh, your boy was your boy was slanging rocks? Okay?
- 14:12Speaker 2: I was throwing those things within the circle. Obviously, not
- 14:16Speaker 2: like right on the button. That would really take some
- 14:17Speaker 2: fine tuning and getting used to it. But I was
- 14:20Speaker 2: within the blue circle on vast majority. Now at the
- 14:24Speaker 2: very beginning, we all stink, all right, we are all terrible,
- 14:27Speaker 2: and I've got good throws and bad throws on video. Well,
- 14:30Speaker 2: you know, what they say towards the end, your boy
- 14:33Speaker 2: was on.
- 14:33Speaker 3: Fire video or it didn't happen, so you better get
- 14:36Speaker 3: that up on the big ninety eight points on Facebook.
- 14:38Speaker 2: It is so funny too, because you sit in these
- 14:40Speaker 2: little blocks, you know, like in track like yeah, runners,
- 14:43Speaker 2: how they push off the blocks right, You basically sit
- 14:45Speaker 2: in those and you slide out right, and of course
- 14:48Speaker 2: everyone's falling on their face.
- 14:50Speaker 1: Everyone's dying right now.
- 14:51Speaker 4: Oh but not Gabe.
- 14:54Speaker 2: Gave my first one, beautiful magnificent form wonder get up
- 15:00Speaker 2: and then we go do it again. Right, second one
- 15:03Speaker 2: fall right on my elbow. It didn't hurt, but it
- 15:07Speaker 2: kind of hurt. And I'm you know, we're talking to
- 15:09Speaker 2: the people who are curlers there obviously are in a
- 15:12Speaker 2: thousand times better than all of us. And I was
- 15:14Speaker 2: asking this our instructor. I was like, how do you
- 15:17Speaker 2: get up gracefully? This seems impossible, Yeah, because you have
- 15:21Speaker 2: your sliding shoe out and then to get up, you
- 15:26Speaker 2: know you'd use your front foot to get up right
- 15:28Speaker 2: when you're in this like download squat curling position or
- 15:31Speaker 2: what have you.
- 15:32Speaker 1: Well, how are you supposed to get up with a foot.
- 15:34Speaker 2: That's just sliding everywhere it's impossible. So it was it's
- 15:38Speaker 2: so much harder than they make it look in the Olympics.
- 15:41Speaker 1: Of course, that's what I like.
- 15:42Speaker 4: To hear, because you were for the last few weeks. Hey,
- 15:46Speaker 4: you boy is an elite athlete.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Roved exactly that at the FM area learning to Curl
- 15:53Speaker 2: Curling Club. It was so much fun, though, I couldn't
- 15:56Speaker 2: recommend it more. Everyone had a great time. You know,
- 15:59Speaker 2: there's fall, there's laughs, there's horrible throws, when there's great throws.
- 16:04Speaker 2: Everybody was cheering. It wasn't just like us versus them.
- 16:07Speaker 2: We were all just having so much fun. And sweeping
- 16:10Speaker 2: is so much fun. I don't know how they slide.
- 16:14Speaker 2: That was the other thing. It's like, how do you
- 16:15Speaker 2: look cool while you slide? Because we're all sliding around
- 16:18Speaker 2: trying to like kind of balance and make sure we
- 16:20Speaker 2: don't fall, and these guys are just gliding everywhere like
- 16:23Speaker 2: there are space.
- 16:24Speaker 3: Next one in March, March, okay, so in March, I'll
- 16:27Speaker 3: show you how to look cool while you do it.
- 16:30Speaker 1: I would. I might pay for your entry to watch that.
- 16:34Speaker 2: Yes, okay, I might do that, all right, But you
- 16:37Speaker 2: can check out Fmcurling dot org to sign up for
- 16:40Speaker 2: the classes coming up in March. Ours were two hours
- 16:43Speaker 2: long and it was incredible. Loved every second of it.
- 16:47Speaker 2: Ten out of ten recommend.
- 16:51Speaker 1: This is am I the problem?
- 16:54Speaker 3: It's me.
- 16:57Speaker 4: On the problem, it's me.
- 16:58Speaker 5: We'll hear one side of the story, and with your help,
- 17:01Speaker 5: am I the problem? We decide if it's right or
- 17:04Speaker 5: if maybe you're the problem.
- 17:06Speaker 1: I'm hardly the problem.
- 17:07Speaker 3: On Big ninety eight point seven, Eddie wrote into us,
- 17:12Speaker 3: good morning, guys. I was on a date with this
- 17:14Speaker 3: girl for the third time, so we've definitely made out
- 17:19Speaker 3: at this point.
- 17:21Speaker 1: But the good for you, Eddie, thanks for sharing that party.
- 17:26Speaker 3: But the other night, I pulled out my lip bomb
- 17:28Speaker 3: to keep my lips hydrated, and she asked me if
- 17:31Speaker 3: she could use it. I put it back in my
- 17:33Speaker 3: pocket because I didn't think she was serious, and she
- 17:35Speaker 3: asked again if she could use it because her lips
- 17:37Speaker 3: were feeling chapped.
- 17:39Speaker 4: I told her no, I don't like to share.
- 17:41Speaker 3: My lip bomb with anyone, and she thought I was
- 17:43Speaker 3: joking because we've kissed before. But for me, I just
- 17:47Speaker 3: don't like sharing lip bomb and I think it's actually weird.
- 17:49Speaker 3: She even asked, does she always just use random people's
- 17:53Speaker 3: lip bomb.
- 17:53Speaker 4: That's gross to me.
- 17:54Speaker 3: We finished the date, but no more making out, and
- 17:57Speaker 3: we're definitely not going out again. But was I the
- 17:59Speaker 3: problem or was she? I think that Eddie it was
- 18:05Speaker 3: not the problem.
- 18:07Speaker 4: What do you think?
- 18:07Speaker 3: Seven oh one two eight oh one to nine eight seven.
- 18:10Speaker 3: I don't think he was the problem because I think
- 18:13Speaker 3: maybe he's just like a germophobe and so he doesn't
- 18:16Speaker 3: like that. And I know that it's been if they've
- 18:18Speaker 3: made out before. I'll tell you this right now. There's
- 18:20Speaker 3: a lot of things I do in the throes of
- 18:22Speaker 3: romantic passion that I would not do if I was
- 18:26Speaker 3: just in a regular, real world situation. So I understand
- 18:31Speaker 3: where Eddie's coming from, and I don't think he was
- 18:35Speaker 3: the problem here.
- 18:36Speaker 1: What do you think, Eddie?
- 18:37Speaker 2: You come off as a bit of a tool in
- 18:38Speaker 2: this email. You you might not be in real life,
- 18:41Speaker 2: but you come off as as a bit of a tool.
- 18:43Speaker 2: So we've been on three dates, we've definitely made out before,
- 18:46Speaker 2: but now she asked to borrow your lipballm And you're
- 18:49Speaker 2: just a random person.
- 18:50Speaker 1: What are you?
- 18:50Speaker 2: Are you makeout buddies or are you rando buddies? You
- 18:53Speaker 2: let me know all I did. Also, if you ever
- 18:57Speaker 2: I don't care who you are. If you ever catch
- 19:00Speaker 2: me walking down the street and you need some lip balm,
- 19:02Speaker 2: or you want to take a sip out of my
- 19:04Speaker 2: Gatorade or whatever, you go right ahead. Why do you
- 19:08Speaker 2: think I have got the immune system of apollo? Okay,
- 19:12Speaker 2: this is why I never get sick. I'll share anything
- 19:15Speaker 2: with anybody. I couldn't care less. I'm also gross, but no,
- 19:21Speaker 2: I don't. I don't mind sharing lip balm with anybody.
- 19:23Speaker 2: I really couldn't care less. I know that's probably disgusting,
- 19:26Speaker 2: but who came, bro, you need some chap chapped?
- 19:29Speaker 1: You got some chapped lips. I've got you covered. Okay.
- 19:31Speaker 3: I'm here for the people to me, I will say. Okay,
- 19:34Speaker 3: So we have a girl that we work with, Elsie.
- 19:36Speaker 3: My lips are really chapped the other day and she said, oh,
- 19:39Speaker 3: I have some Carmex or whatever if you want some.
- 19:42Speaker 3: And I did, but I like squeezed out of the tube. First,
- 19:46Speaker 3: wiped it off, squeeze a little more, wiped it off,
- 19:48Speaker 3: and then I used it on my finger.
- 19:52Speaker 4: I mean, and I know her, Okay, Eddie, I understand.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I just I understand where Eddie's coming from Yeah, it's
- 19:58Speaker 2: totally fine if you don't want to share a lipbom.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I'm not saying he's wrong for that. He's allowed to
- 20:01Speaker 2: be like, actually, now that's kind of weird for me,
- 20:03Speaker 2: Like whatever, whatever. In this email, you sound like a tool, buddy.
- 20:09Speaker 2: I don't agree with you because of that seven it.
- 20:12Speaker 4: On onton I made seven. Let us know.
- 20:14Speaker 3: We also have this up on the Big ninety eight
- 20:15Speaker 3: point seven Facebook page.
- 20:22Speaker 2: And we do have someone on the line. Thank you
- 20:24Speaker 2: so much for holding Who's this sure?
- 20:26Speaker 1: What do you think? Here's Eddie the problem?
- 20:29Speaker 2: I think that Eddie is allowed to say.
- 20:31Speaker 1: That he's not allowed to share her lip hom with her,
- 20:34Speaker 1: but she's allowed to think that that's weird. It's a
- 20:36Speaker 1: bullyall fan today.
- 20:38Speaker 2: Yeah, yes, do you share lip bomb with your close
- 20:42Speaker 2: friends or someone you've known for three dates and made
- 20:45Speaker 2: out with?
- 20:46Speaker 3: If I'm made out with them, I think that they
- 20:48Speaker 3: have the right to use.
- 20:49Speaker 5: My lip.
- 20:51Speaker 1: I love that attitude.
- 20:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Eddie, he didn't want to share his lip bomb
- 20:56Speaker 3: with someone he went on three dates with and being
- 20:59Speaker 3: made out with.
- 21:00Speaker 4: But where he drew the line was can I use
- 21:04Speaker 4: your lip bomb?
- 21:05Speaker 5: No?
- 21:06Speaker 3: Yeah, we did get some texts and someone said, I
- 21:08Speaker 3: don't like sharing my lip bom with my husband or family,
- 21:11Speaker 3: and I don't like sharing drinks. It's a germaphul thing.
- 21:15Speaker 3: I get where Eddie's coming from. And again, I say,
- 21:18Speaker 3: what you do in the throes of passion is different
- 21:21Speaker 3: than what you do in just regular light of day.
- 21:24Speaker 1: What do you keep calling that throws of pet.
- 21:26Speaker 4: Throes of passion?
- 21:28Speaker 3: There are things that I would not do in regular
- 21:31Speaker 3: life that I would do when I'm in the heat
- 21:33Speaker 3: of the moment.
- 21:34Speaker 4: And you know what, I'm not gonna explain myself. I
- 21:36Speaker 4: just know where you're coming from, Eddie.
- 21:38Speaker 1: Julia said it started with an lol.
- 21:42Speaker 2: I guess it's relative, but my husband and I share
- 21:45Speaker 2: chapstick and don't think it's a big deal. I guess
- 21:47Speaker 2: you're obligated though, or you're not obligated though not sure.
- 21:50Speaker 2: It's something to end up a potential relationship over. So
- 21:54Speaker 2: that's the part that seems like an overreaction. Michelle said,
- 21:58Speaker 2: you've made out but won't share your lipball. You're the problem,
- 22:02Speaker 2: you uh, and should have just put some more on
- 22:04Speaker 2: and kissed her seriously.
- 22:05Speaker 4: And then, oh my gosh, that's that would have been
- 22:08Speaker 4: the loop.
- 22:09Speaker 2: And then Kim said, not the problem. I've been with
- 22:11Speaker 2: my hubs over twenty years. I do not share drinks,
- 22:15Speaker 2: silverware or lipbam.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Get your own. See see I couldn't.
- 22:20Speaker 2: I could not care less, and I'll eat food off
- 22:22Speaker 2: the ground. I'm disgusting and that's fine. But I will say, here, Eddie,
- 22:27Speaker 2: here's the problem. All right here, you were going for,
- 22:31Speaker 2: you know, some nice smooches, some nice making out, and
- 22:34Speaker 2: though you're making out days are over, you're back on
- 22:37Speaker 2: tender swiping to get that makeout sesch.
- 22:39Speaker 1: It sounds like this girl. I mean, she probably go
- 22:41Speaker 1: I'm gonna be making out with someone next week already.
- 22:44Speaker 3: Maybe she's just gonna go to the store and buy
- 22:45Speaker 3: her own damn lip bam.
- 22:47Speaker 4: Yeah, I just I just.
- 22:48Speaker 1: Don't understand this.
- 22:49Speaker 2: But I always love by the way around eleven when
- 22:53Speaker 2: Angie and I are getting ready for the show the
- 22:55Speaker 2: next day, going back on the comments, for am I
- 22:58Speaker 2: the problem. So if you're hearing this this morning and
- 23:01Speaker 2: you have a tiny bit of you know, downtime at
- 23:03Speaker 2: work today, you're drinking your coffee or having your lunch
- 23:05Speaker 2: or whatever, go check out the comments. It is a
- 23:07Speaker 2: wonderful wonderful place seven one two eight zero one nine
- 23:11Speaker 2: eight seven. Now, Angie and I were talking in my
- 23:16Speaker 2: office last week and I had asked her. I was like,
- 23:18Speaker 2: I want to know who invented reflective paint on street
- 23:24Speaker 2: side because because it is the simplest idea of the invention.
- 23:32Speaker 2: Now the chemistry to come up with this, I'm sure
- 23:34Speaker 2: you know, probably hard. I I have no clue, but
- 23:37Speaker 2: everyone who drives at night can thank one person that.
- 23:41Speaker 2: It's like, oh, I can read that that sign says
- 23:43Speaker 2: twenty third Avenue because the paint reflects off their lights
- 23:47Speaker 2: so they can see it. Somebody back in the day
- 23:49Speaker 2: was driving in the dark and went, you know what,
- 23:51Speaker 2: I want to be able to see that sign that
- 23:54Speaker 2: says take a left on you know, horse buggy road
- 23:57Speaker 2: or whatever.
- 24:00Speaker 1: You wanted to know.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Do you know anybody who or related to anybody who
- 24:04Speaker 2: invented something really cool?
- 24:06Speaker 1: And we asked, and you did not disappoint.
- 24:08Speaker 2: There are a lot of people who either know or
- 24:10Speaker 2: are related to some individuals who created some incredible things.
- 24:15Speaker 2: And two that are very near and dear to our heart.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Angie Okay Morgan said, my great uncle Bob was a
- 24:22Speaker 2: Disney imagineer, I believe, and he specialized in animatronics. This
- 24:28Speaker 2: person worked with Steven Spielberg to create the dinosaurs in
- 24:31Speaker 2: Jurassic Park.
- 24:34Speaker 3: Oh my god, that is the most important. Can we
- 24:37Speaker 3: be friends? I need a pen pal relationship with this person.
- 24:40Speaker 4: This is amazing.
- 24:41Speaker 1: You're gonna have to go through Morgan K to get Okay, Morgan.
- 24:44Speaker 4: K, hook me up with you. Who wasn't the grandpa,
- 24:47Speaker 4: the great uncle, the great uncle?
- 24:49Speaker 2: Now, Miguel said, when I was in the car business,
- 24:52Speaker 2: one of my customers was one of the duo that
- 24:56Speaker 2: came up with Uncrustables.
- 24:58Speaker 4: Genius.
- 24:59Speaker 2: They old to smuckers and I'm sure we're swimming in
- 25:03Speaker 2: a pool of yellow.
- 25:04Speaker 3: That is such an important invention. Especially Gabe, I feel
- 25:10Speaker 3: like you might learn this once your kid gets older
- 25:12Speaker 3: and can have pbg's.
- 25:14Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 25:15Speaker 3: The most annoying thing on the planet is making it
- 25:17Speaker 3: is when they decide I don't like the crass. Oh yeah,
- 25:21Speaker 3: and that's when Uncrustable saves the day. Wow.
- 25:25Speaker 2: We have Mandy who said, my great great you know whatever,
- 25:28Speaker 2: greats uncle designed the Statue of Liberty.
- 25:33Speaker 1: What talk about a historic thing right there?
- 25:37Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 25:37Speaker 2: And then Lindsey, I need to find out who this
- 25:40Speaker 2: relative is. Lindsay said, I have a relative who sold
- 25:44Speaker 2: all of her recipes to Campbell's Soup.
- 25:48Speaker 1: What game, my hero?
- 25:50Speaker 4: Yeah, you gotta write them a thank you know that's right.
- 25:53Speaker 1: Finally we had one from Lee that I felt like
- 25:55Speaker 1: I had to share. All right.
- 25:56Speaker 2: There are so many awesome, awesome inventions on our lire,
- 26:00Speaker 2: but Lee, I think really set the bar high with this.
- 26:04Speaker 2: Lee said, my great great granddad was the first man
- 26:09Speaker 2: to tell his wife to calm down during an argument.
- 26:16Speaker 1: I need some good.
- 26:18Speaker 5: Starting off the day with something good. This is Gabe's
- 26:22Speaker 5: good news. On BID ninety eight point seven, seventeen year
- 26:26Speaker 5: old Zwan Park. I hope I'm saying his name right.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Z u An Swan Park is a senior at West
- 26:33Speaker 2: Fargo Cheyenne High School, and he has been named one
- 26:36Speaker 2: of just twenty five national finalists for the twenty twenty

- 26:47Speaker 2: applicants nationwide. Zwan is ranked first in his class, and
- 26:52Speaker 2: he balances advanced classes, debate, two part time jobs, and
- 26:56Speaker 2: serving as a youth group leader. He recently won a
- 26:59Speaker 2: state debate title and will compete in nationals this summer.
- 27:02Speaker 2: Finalists receive a five six hundred, twenty five dollars scholarship

- 27:08Speaker 2: national winner earning twenty five thousand dollars. Park, who has
- 27:13Speaker 2: logged more than five hundred service hours, plans to study
- 27:17Speaker 2: biochemistry and pursue a career in medicine, in part by
- 27:21Speaker 2: his interest in healthcare policy.
- 27:24Speaker 4: Wow.
- 27:25Speaker 1: What an incredible young dude. A young man.
- 27:28Speaker 4: That's amazing. Yeah, and a local. Oh I love that.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Yeah, congratulations to him, And hey, we're all rooting for
- 27:36Speaker 2: you obviously, what you've accomplished now is incredible. Yeah, but
- 27:40Speaker 2: we're rooting me on. I hope to see a part
- 27:42Speaker 2: two of this story. So yeah, congratulations to Zwan Park.
- 27:47Speaker 2: The world is full of nice people. If you can't
- 27:49Speaker 2: find one, you gotta be
