- Mark Hayes (00:01.538) Alright, ladies and gentlemen, welcome back. Another exciting addition. Two men in black and white and honest conversation. Donald Trump has managed to enrich himself to the tune of nearly two billion dollars. Yes, indeed. Cryptocurrency has been betty betty good to he. It's amazing. The corruption is in broad daylight. Broad daylight. That's what Nino Brown said when they blew away Dutta Man in the middle of the street. or or or the roster dude. That a man was Nino Brown's homie. yeah, it's it's ridiculous. The corruption continues. the good news is Donald Trump's fair sucks. I've got more people in my house right now. I got four people in the crib. That's that's double the number of attendees at the freaking fair for Donald Trump. nobody's swimming in the reflecting pool. It's awful, it's algae ridden. And you're liable to get a staph infection if you jump in. All right, let's let's check in with Brock and Ellis. Brock, talk to me. You're north of New York City. you know, look, job numbers are out. Politico with a headline today saying the economy remains strong. as if Donald Trump is some sort of normal you know leader who is working on the affordability crisis. Because that's what it is, Brock. But nobody will call it that. We got people losing jobs left and right. We got AI taking hold. Like we are headed straight into the abyss on the downstroke. And nobody is saying a damn word in the media. The media is letting us down. Mainstream media is letting us down like nobody's business because Trump is good for business. What say you? Brock Ganeles (01:56.904) Well, I'm gonna start with the corruption, right? So cryptocurrency is just such a wild, wild west, you know, business landscape that Trump of course has promoted and protected from oversight. So well I wonder why that's the case. He's promoted it because he's making the billions of dollars fleecing Mark Hayes (02:00.237) Okay. Mark Hayes (02:12.93) Right. Right. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Right. Brock Ganeles (02:19.965) Fleecing other investors because there's a lot of losers in that marketplace while he's winning that two billion, right? There's someone on the other side of all these trades. And he has kept, you know, he's sort of quasi tra legitimized it while keeping regulations away from it. Typical toxic capitalism with no no guardrails. I mean the big problem with cryptocurrency is that it's in essence c in competition with the US dollar and what you'd call real currency. And Mark Hayes (02:25.656) So's Baron. Mark Hayes (02:49.26) Hm. Hm. Brock Ganeles (02:50.109) Therefore, because of its untrackability, untraceability, it's the playground for scoundrels and terrorists and illicit money because it's you know off off the beaten track. So of course Trump plays there. It's perfect pond for him and it's a perfect way for him to funnel, embezzle, accept bribes, and you know, bamboozle. Mark Hayes (03:06.861) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (03:18.705) the common folk, for his own profitability. I mean it's we're gonna have to unwind all those dollars when he's gone, when he's been usurped from office and we have all these task force we're talking about because these are just ill gotten gains. Mark Hayes (03:37.996) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (03:38.941) Question back to you. Is the corruption enough to shake the MAGA side of the equation at all? Or do they just view this as something he deserves cause he's their anointed one? Mark Hayes (03:53.037) Well I'm I'm I'm gonna hit you with this answer, Brock. Why do we give a shit? They don't have enough numbers in order for their position to matter. You know, just because they're okay with the with the corruption doesn't mean that the other sixty nine percent of America is. And Project twenty twenty nine or what what was no Project what is it, twenty twenty nine or twenty twenty seven? I th I say we go for Project 2027 and start impeachment proceedings at the end of next January. And let's get this fucker out. As soon as we get these new representatives seated, the first order of business should be: hey, World Liberty Financial Group, Trump and his sons co-founded the crypto firm to the tune of 500 million Brock in transaction fees. Transaction fees. Brock. You you you worked on Wall Street, you're familiar with the fee structure. How do you generate five hundred million in transaction fees and proceeds from token sales? Token sales. Dude, it's disgusting. Brock Ganeles (05:10.151) Well I I'm just asking like I'm supposed to know this shit, right? Crypto is a little before my time of like what the fuck's a token? What what do you really what do you really have? What's the value of the token? Right? Like it's whatever you know Yeah, I know there's the smoke and mirrors aspect to all currency and the value of you know, the value of anything. I guess the value of anything is what someone else is willing to pay for it. So Mark Hayes (05:17.838) Right. Right. It's what they say it is at any given time. Mark Hayes (05:31.757) Right. Mark Hayes (05:35.672) Right. Brock Ganeles (05:38.447) It's five hundred million in transaction fees is phenomenal. I mean he's Goldman Sachs he's Goldman Sachs like overnight, right? They flicked the switch and they became Goldman Sachs of crypto. Mark Hayes (05:43.852) Yeah. Yeah. Right. And he's never been any good at any kind of business dealings. So, how do we think he got so good this time around? See, what happened was Trump one point, he had to get back in office because he finally got some people who would go along with him that he said, Hey, look, I don't care how you do it, I'll give you whatever you know, cabinet position or office you want. Just funnel me money. By the way, by the way. Brock Ganeles (06:15.953) Yeah, fun only money. That's Mark Hayes (06:20.652) The in speaking of funneling money, the inaugural flight of that Qatari jet as Air Force One has debuted. They were already flying around in that fucking thing. So, you know, again, more corruption. But getting back to the crypto. Like, you know, this stuff is being hidden. This is this is the stuff, Brock, the cryptocurrency that scammers are using. Right? They're taking The American dollar turning it into crypto, hiding it in a wallet, and the authorities can't find it. Right? I mean, that's a much simpler explanation than what they're actually doing. But that's what these fuckers are doing. So if he's using the same currency as international scammers, I mean, isn't that a problem? It's a clear conflict of interest, first of all. Like Exactly. Brock Ganeles (07:14.631) Donald Trump's an internationalist scammer. I mean, that's what the whole thing is has become. So okay, he gets his two billion. Like you said, maybe no one has to care because the left is just if we show up in numbers, it doesn't matter if MAG is okay with it because they need to be just overwhelmed in numbers. But while Trump is just taking money for himself, the American economy is Mark Hayes (07:20.108) Yeah. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (07:43.538) limping along. Let's call it limping. Like politico right wing organization gonna put a happy face on what is clearly lackluster numbers. If we can even believe these numbers, let's remember the last negative unemployment report got the head of the department fired. Mark Hayes (07:43.682) Cho Right. Right. Mark Hayes (07:51.778) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (08:05.957) And a new person came in whose job was never let a report come out that's that negative. So when I look at today's per usual and go, okay, this is what they ginned up to show us something that they think is quote good enough and maybe quasi believable, which to me is what the meetings are probably all about. Mark Hayes (08:06.124) Yeah. Right. Mark Hayes (08:12.062) Right. Mark Hayes (08:24.334) Right. Brock Ganeles (08:28.391) These numbers are horrendous, right? Looking for 115,000 in job growth, only getting 57, even just these fake numbers. Private sector jobs down 33,000, which means what? Public sector jobs are up 80,000? So where? Federal governments hiring people? No, we had doji. I thought we're cutting people at the federal level. State governments, local? I'm supposed to believe state and local and federal governments have added what Mark Hayes (08:36.396) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (08:48.589) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (08:56.179) Tens of thousands of people to their payrolls? Where's that going on? I I don't buy that. That doesn't even make sense to me on the surface. That's possibly true. And I see that a that leisure and hospitality is losing is n is negative job growth in those areas at a time when we have half the world in our country running around eating and drinking and sleeping somewhere? How are leisure and hospitality not having a golden age right now? Mark Hayes (09:00.749) No. Mark Hayes (09:18.785) Right. Mark Hayes (09:22.167) Right. Brock Ganeles (09:26.245) Maybe they can worry about the end of the summer, but right now when all these people are running around putting videos of how much food they're eating and drinking, they're drunk off their asses. Scotland drank Boston Addle Liquor. What they weren't staffed to the gills with bartenders and servers to make sure they got every dime out of those the tartan army that they could. None of it makes sense. I think the numbers are a fraud, but even the fraudulent numbers to me look like shit. Wage growth continues to lag inflation. Mark Hayes (09:33.997) Right. Mark Hayes (09:38.156) Right. Brock Ganeles (09:56.102) Inflation, which means the typical worker is going backwards on their household balance sheet. Mark Hayes (10:03.404) Huge. Yep. Yep. And and and by the way, none of our elected officials are giving a shit or doing a damn thing about it. No one's addressing the crisis. Right? What what's going on with straight of whore moves and gas prices? Have we had an update on that shit? it's on, it's off, it's on, it's off. Ships are running aground. What the fuck is going on? The Arab nations are pissed off at Trump. Saudis thought they had an ally in it. What the fuck? You know, a br Brock, it it is a it is a mess. And for anyone to try to normalize what we are seeing right now in Washington, you know, go fuck yourself. Right? Because you bitched and moaned about Barack Obama because he was an uppity black man who thought he was too smart and you know always wanted to be the smartest guy in the room, and you had a fucking problem with his tan suit. But you don't have a problem with a $400 million fucking plane. You don't have a problem with two billion dollars in personal. Personal cash corruption and skullduggery. And even Barron is get Barron hit for what a hundred million on one of these crypto deals? But you're okay with that. But you can't hold your nose and and vote for the brown woman. You're mad at the black guy's tan suit, right? And his wife is too educated for you, so you gotta fucking besmirch her every chance you get as well. Come on, Brock. Like what are we doing what are we doing? Brock Ganeles (11:30.828) I mean this why this we've always said the messaging for the left was so easy and the democratic socialists are finally putting it together. Like how why isn't s why isn't just like a simple statement that we're gonna raise the federal minimum wage, which hasn't budged for thirty years, how is that controversial or hard to make a part of your platform? That hey, inflation's outstripping wage growth, people at the bottom of the scale are hurting. Mark Hayes (11:39.63) Yeah. Mark Hayes (11:53.664) I it can't. Brock Ganeles (12:00.711) way too much we can't have this level of poverty or near pov poverty for people are out there busting their ass and they still can't get by, they're being exploited. We're gonna raise the we're gonna raise the minimum wage at the federal level. We're not just gonna rely on the states to do it. Simple message right there knocks down that one. And the second part we haven't heard enough about is corruption task forces. I think either Jim Hines or one of the other guys in Connecticut talks about it, but I mean I w if we if the left the Democrats flip the Congress, they should be talking about taking over committees, creating a corruption subcommittee, and having immediately starting day one after impeachment, day two having corruption hearings and subvening people and bringing them in and let's start unwinding these illegally attained wealth. Mark Hayes (12:38.136) Yeah. Mark Hayes (12:43.437) Yeah. Yep. Mark Hayes (12:56.428) We got to, bro. I mean what w like what else are we doing? What else are we doing? Brock Ganeles (13:02.577) Take it back. Why don't we just we're just we're just gonna take it back. Go fuck yourself. Jared, we're taking it back. Trump, we're taking it back. Barron, we're fucking taking it back. Mark Hayes (13:08.236) Right. Taking it back. Give it back to the people. You don't pay any fucking taxes. Fuck you. Like dude, I'm sick of the one percenters getting by all the fucking time. Like why why why is it happening? Why do we have to struggle? Right? And here's a one percenter who's getting by like, you know, okay, you know, you can't have a trillion dollars without doing something corrupt and illegal. You can't you can't pull in $2.4 billion in 18 months when when when you're a piece of shit businessman. We know we know you weren't good at what you did. And and and you were selling some of the most some of the most expensive real estate in the world in in Manhattan. And you couldn't get that right. Brock Ganeles (13:45.117) There's no fucking way. Brock Ganeles (13:49.127) But Brock Ganeles (13:54.792) Yeah. I mean the conflict of interest is egregious. That we let any of this shit go on, stock trading by congressmen, people out in these fucking prediction markets, you know, it's I mean it's all fucking ridiculous and needs to be unwound. It's like it's just toxic capitalism out of control and it's easy messaging. Very easy messaging. Mark Hayes (14:13.218) Yeah. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (14:17.999) And you wonder why why mainstream Democrats ha are losing because they don't have a message because you just asked why are we allowing this to go on? Because you know, c corporate Dems who are getting big money from businesses as well have Mark Hayes (14:25.878) Right. Brock Ganeles (14:33.799) What's that term I keep saying? Have get along to get along or go along to get along or something like that. Because it's been in their interest to do so. And that's where I think the switch has been flick flipped in the mindset of the American public. And that's why I think Democrats are gonna continue to sweep on down the road. And we're basically we're i we're officially in the middle of a movement. Mark Hayes (14:38.102) Mm-hmm. Yep. Mark Hayes (14:43.35) Right. Mark Hayes (14:51.745) Right. Mark Hayes (15:03.222) Right. Right. And we gotta stay we gotta keep the momentum in the movement. that's the most important thing. You know, starting with the Knickerbockers, right? The Knicks have got to set the tone this summer when Trump says, Hey, you know, y Jim Dolan, get you guys down to down to Mar Lago or down to wherever the fuck we are for a fish fry at you know, the White House. We're not coming. We're not coming. And I would love to see them just boldly say, you know, we're all going to Carl Anthony Town's wedding, you know, and fuck off, Donald. Not one other NBA team has been, right? So we can't, we can't, we can't, you know, just acquiesce to his stupidity. because it ain't it ain't it ain't cool. And you know, there's no reason for us to do it. Brock Ganeles (16:01.603) Everyone who has a chance to make a statement needs to make a statement. They have the ch the Knicks have the chance to make a statement. They have to make it. There's no there's no choice. You can't pretend like the moment hasn't come to you. They earned the moment. But with that, in essence, with that success, comes responsibility. And now they have to make a statement. They can't hide from it. Mark Hayes (16:04.886) Right. Right. Mark Hayes (16:10.38) Caps. Mark Hayes (16:18.807) Right. Mark Hayes (16:26.082) Right. Brock Ganeles (16:30.383) It's a yes or no. There's no gray area. And I only hope that they make a they make a statement. 'Cause that's the sort of thing that keeps the momentum going. Right? Like that's like these those artists who got in essence tricked into going to this American this Festival two fifty, who then when they realized that it wasn't some nonpartisan event, that they were being roped into a MAGA event, they walked away from it. Right? And now that event has become, you know, a shambles. They're calling Mark Hayes (16:33.611) Right. Mark Hayes (16:39.381) Right. Brock Ganeles (17:00.327) like that fire festival right where you know no one showed up and really tricked but but the the moment came to those artists they had to make a decision and just about every one of them dropped out and in my mind made the right decision so each and every one of us has a seems to have a time where they have to make a choice and make a statement. Mark Hayes (17:03.072) Right. Mark Hayes (17:25.046) Gotta step up. Right. Yeah. Yeah. And you know what? If you don't step up, there should be some consequences and repercussions. Right? Like it's it's your civic duty. It's beyond your civic duty. It's your it's your global duty to get rid of this fucking guy. Right? This guy is impacting. Not just us on the local, state, and federal level. He's impacting the global economy because he's such a moron. And I don't think people realize that, huh? Brock Ganeles (18:04.051) Yeah, I think I think everyone has a responsibility to say whether they're on board with MAGA or against it and there's no gray area. Like right, there is this big controversy of that comedian, what's his name? Like Nate Bartsgate or something like that. I guess he was successful on Netflix and he showed up at the UFC fight and it was like a big deal 'cause I guess he's popular and people were like, we didn't know he was MAGA Mark Hayes (18:13.742) Right. Brock Ganeles (18:30.735) Okay, well now he's out and he's MAGA. So why didn't you know? Like no one should be able to skate along as if they're living in a world that the rest of us don't live in. Like either you are or you're not MAGA and tell us what camp you're in. So we need to know. Mark Hayes (18:31.154) well. Mark Hayes (18:36.098) Yeah. Mark Hayes (18:43.297) Right. Mark Hayes (18:51.106) We need to know. We need to know. Yeah. Come on out, cause we're not supporting that. Brock Ganeles (18:55.077) And I'm sorry, athletes, actors athletes, actors, politicians, anyone in the public eye. And I would argue really since we all are our own TV show, Yahoos with streaming included, then everyone has enough social media to just go out and make a statement on where where they stand. Mark Hayes (19:11.35) Hehehe Mark Hayes (19:20.097) Right. Right. Brock Ganeles (19:23.799) You're not standing in the middle of the road. The middle of the road doesn't exist anymore. You have to pick a side. You're pick a side. And express and express it. Stop, you know, stop protecting something. There's no hundred percent for everyone right now. There's just no hundred percent. So you're gonna have to lose some part of your audience. Decide which it is. Mark Hayes (19:30.188) Pick a side. Yeah. Rock. Mark Hayes (19:37.688) Right. Right. And and and Brock. Right. Right. There's no straddling the fucking fence. Right? If you're Stephen A. Smith, I haven't watched First Take in years. I won't watch anything that Stephen A. Smith is on. If you're Black MAGA, I'm not fucking with you at all. At all. Brock Ganeles (19:59.772) Yeah, he's MAGA adjacent. He wouldn't say he's MAGA, but he's MAGA adjacent, which to me is MAGA. You know. Yeah. Mark Hayes (20:04.97) He's shilling for MAGA, so fuck him. You know? Look, look, with the money that that guy is making, you can't tell me he's being told what to say. Look at all the that guy's on fucking all day long. He goes from YouTube to First Take to his podcast all fucking day spouting the same bullshit. Brock Ganeles (20:19.206) Yeah, okay. Brock Ganeles (20:26.547) 'Cause he wants every audience, right? He doesn't want to alienate anyone. So he figures he can keep the black audience no matter what he says, but then he courts the white audience and now he figures he's got the hundred percent of the pie and that's the best business decision for him. I understand the business decision. I just don't respect it, and I don't think anyone should, and I don't think we should allow anyone to play that game. That game's over in my book. Mark Hayes (20:28.502) Yeah. Mark Hayes (20:40.046) Yeah. Right. Mark Hayes (20:52.12) Brock. DL Hugley's making good money. I don't know what he makes. I don't know what he's worth. But DL Hugley is standing up for black America. Right? DL Hughley has been black for a long time, just like Stephen A. Smith. Stephen A. Smith went to an HBCU and played for one of the legendary. Well, he says he well, he was on the team. He didn't actually fucking play. He made a team. He made the team. Winston Salem State. Brock Ganeles (21:16.981) sound state or something? Switch the sound, isn't it? Mark Hayes (21:21.602) With with big house games. One of one of the legendary coaches in not just black college basketball, in college basketball, period. Nobody did it better. Especially in terms of longevity. You know how many lives this man impacted over the course of his career? And I'll tell you something else. You go to a place like Winston-Salem State. My father went to the school across the street at Shaw University. There were guys there, you know. That would have been working in the tobacco fields had it not been for those institutions. So, you know, let let's not, you know, belittle what those institutions have done for people, and then here he is helping the very people that want to shut those institutions down and cut them off at the knees. How fucking dare you have the HBCU experience. And then shill for the people who are trying to fuck our HBCUs over. It's it's it's like having roaches for raid. How many roaches do you know are cheering for fucking more raid? None. None. I mean it's fucking ridiculous, man. And I I'm s I'm sick of black MAGA. I really am. Brock, I told you about the flight I took. I b I believe I was on the plane from from Texas to Yeah, I saw a black dude with a MAGA hat on. And I and I couldn't hide my disgust. And I made sure he saw it in my face. Brock Ganeles (22:52.967) you saw a guy with a black MAGA hat? Brock Ganeles (23:03.815) Mark, I barely even see white guys with MAGA hats anymore. I mean those things have become those things have become they're they're novelty items now. Well you really can't you can't find them. Mark Hayes (23:07.724) Yeah, this was that was probably what, two years ago? That was right when we started the pod. Yeah. Mark Hayes (23:16.238) Well you gotta Well Brock, I mean, you know, people are people are coming at you when you wear that shit. You know? People have questions for you. And people are hostile about it. Brock Ganeles (23:26.819) As I said. But Marquis. This mark this this topic segues into what I view as the WMBA problem, which I think the WMBA right now, very progressive league, I think is is facing issues and is somewhat emblematic of the race problems in America. Because they have the white star, Caitlin Clark, they have other white stars. But they have like the transcendent white star. Mark Hayes (23:56.77) Right. Brock Ganeles (23:57.554) because of the huge following she generated in college, coming into the league. Yep. White fans in Iowa. And but also you know, dramatically Mark Hayes (24:01.334) With white with white fans. Mm-hmm. That Brock Ganeles (24:11.951) impactful player and so much fun to watch, right? So I don't want to take away from Kate LeCark, the athlete and the basketball player, coming into the league, helping the helping the the union get better contracts and deals for everyone. So she's been hugely beneficial to everyone, but has created a race problem in the league. It's brought new fans to the league, more money, but a lot of racist fans to the league. So it's upset the vibe of the league. Mark Hayes (24:19.981) Right. Mark Hayes (24:39.288) Right. Right. Brock Ganeles (24:42.151) And so the ball, for better or worse, is dropped in Caitlin Court's Clayton Clark's lap because she has to, in my opinion, make a statement to tamp down the racism of her core supporters. Mark Hayes (24:50.893) Right. Brock Ganeles (25:01.351) and be a y unifying figure in the league instead of a polarizing figure in the league. And the league and she and they have not f she has not done that and the league has has certainly not figured it that out at all. Mark Hayes (25:06.583) Well Mark Hayes (25:14.252) Well well Brock, why would she? She's on the State Farm commercial, she's on this, you know, medication commercial, she's on that, she's she's getting her millions, right? None of this stuff was happening, right? Until Caitlin Clark came. And then all of a sudden the league became commercial. Right? Now, remember when the Atlanta Dream took a stand and wore the Raphael Warnock t-shirt out to warm up in. Because they had to make a statement because Kelly Laughler was, you know, another one percenter who didn't give a shit about black people's rights. And when they st when they made that stand, they were universally criticized and vilified outside the perimeter, right? In Red Georgia. Brock Ganeles (26:06.213) Mark, this is a small scale Case of toxic capitalism. Everybody's decision every time, every day, can't always be based upon what might be the best for them economically in the moment. There has to be some sort of principles that you live by that are greater than whether you're gonna get another endorsement deal or what might happen. Or you're not that kind of person and you're just gonna do like Stephen A. Smith is doing. Mark Hayes (26:12.952) True that. Mark Hayes (26:24.45) But that's all we do. Yep. Mark Hayes (26:34.157) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (26:40.393) And try to roll along keeping as much popularity as you can and keeping a foot in every camp in a world that do doesn't allow that. And I just don't think anyone is allowed that anymore. I can't be the only one who looks at everyone that way and says, I want to know where you stand. And then I'll make my judgments on you. I might not, you know, a af after that. Mark Hayes (26:48.791) Mm-hmm. Mark Hayes (26:52.556) Yeah. Mark Hayes (26:56.461) Nope. Brock Ganeles (27:08.977) But I think that right now Caitlin Clark's either she is MAGA or her unwillingness to make statements that tamp down the MAGA anger that she drums up amongst her supporters because her support because MAGA is violent and angry. And MAGA and even in other countries, because in London, in in the UK, they're criticizing the black players because they didn't play well enough in the last game and the world. Mark Hayes (27:29.549) Right. Brock Ganeles (27:38.954) Cup, right? So we're seeing a cum byao moment, but the same online vitriols going on, and in the Netherlands, racism came barreling in because a couple of their players missed penalty kicks and they got eliminated. Right? These are the best players in their country. But they didn't come through in that last moment and win the World Cup, so it's immediately racist. And Mark Hayes (27:52.599) Right, right, right. Brock Ganeles (28:00.56) I just think coming back that Caitlin Clark has to try to she her it's her responsibility to tamp down the MAGA crazies that love her because she's a white superstar. And if she's not willing to do that, then she's MAGA adjacent. She just is. And that's unfortunate, but that's just the world we're in. You don't get to just be a gray area. I'm just here to play ball. Mark Hayes (28:05.272) What does Mark Hayes (28:18.188) Well well well Brock Ganeles (28:30.32) celebrity i anymore. Mark Hayes (28:30.892) Brock. Brock. Is sh isn't she gonna be the f the very first ever? Which which white athlete besides Trevor Lawrence has ever spoken out? Do do we have a frame of reference for what who? Paige Becker. Paige Becker's one of the few. Brock Ganeles (28:47.176) Paige Beckers. Page Beckers. Paige Beckers. That maybe this you know that one of the few. She she took her ESPN S P award moment to say that she appreciated it, but she also understood that she got a lot more notoriety f because she's a white player than the black players that come before her. So I mean there's there's precedent. Mark Hayes (29:00.704) Had an opportunity. Yep. Mark Hayes (29:09.388) Yeah. Yep. Mark Hayes (29:15.212) Well well look, I don't want to take away Brock Ganeles (29:16.36) But more more acid than be sorry, go ahead. Mark Hayes (29:19.808) I no, I don't want to take away from Caitlin Clark's skill and talent and and, you know, her ability to dominate basketball games. But who happens to be the best player in the league right now? Brock Ganeles (29:35.538) Well, it's no, it's been Asia Wilson for like five years. Mark Hayes (29:35.606) It ain't Kayla Clark. Asia Wilson, who has a statue at the University of South Carolina. So you know when they put black female statues up in South Carolina, you gotta be goddamn good. so look, where's her endorsements? I mean, she gets some here and there, but where's her no notoriety? Where's her state farm commercial? You know, where's her Oreo cookie commercial? You know? W hey look, what what are the three crown jewels of the endorsement dollar, right? Car, soft drink, and what's the other one? What what's the other one? We came to play. Brock Ganeles (30:15.776) fast food. I don't know from Jerry Maguire. I think there's like four of them. Damn, I can't hear Where's Regina? Find that Regina yeah, find that Regina King clip. All right. I mean I want you know, look that was that that I want the WMA to figure it out because the WMA has to figure out straight and gay issues, black and white issues, while they're trying to build a league. And if they can do it successfully and they can navigate all these quote controversial issues in America and make it work, that's a great blueprint for corporate success. Unlike the NFL, which is toxic capitalism and just flaunts its racism and its anti-labor and the fact that it doesn't give a shit about its players and views them as interchangeable parts. Mark Hayes (30:36.366) Yeah. Brock Ganeles (31:02.902) And not a NFL owner batted an eyelash when a guy like Chris Johnson at age like 20 fucking nine or thirty with two, whatever he is, is getting, you know, ALS or CTE and you know dying young, not a single NFL owner cares. They bury the concussion reports, they pretend like their league is not killing its players, and they just roll along. And America rolls along with them, which has always been my frustration. America rolled along with the blackballing of Colin Kaepernick. And I want the WNBA to pull this off and not just be another league and not just be another fucking NFL that can't handle difficult issues. And it's incumbent on the players. And it's really incumbent on Caitlin Clark. Mark Hayes (31:36.3) Yep. Who still hasn't been able Mark Hayes (31:51.234) Right. Right. She's not gonna do it. But that's just my take. Brock Ganeles (31:57.128) Just like Tom Brady wouldn't do it in the NFL never budged, right? If Tom Brady had come out to support Colin Kaepernick, it would have been a whole fucking different ball game in the NFL. Whole different ball game. Didn't do it. Didn't do it. Mark Hayes (32:05.878) Yep. Yep. Yes indeed. Wouldn't do it. Couldn't do it. Didn't give a shit. Didn't give a shit. So all right, give me a quick hit so we can get up out of here. We're over time. Brock Ganeles (32:14.088) Didn't wanna do it. Didn't wanna do it. Didn't give a shit. Brock Ganeles (32:21.608) Did whoa while we're on this topic, did you see the pitcher for the Washington Nationals that intentionally hit Wilson Contreras of the Boston Red Sox? struck him out. Struck out Wilson Contreras and then yelled, Get outta here, boy, at him. Mark Hayes (32:43.982) Ooh I missed that one. Brock Ganeles (32:46.694) And Contreras rushed the mound and there was a bench Yeah, a little bit of a melee. And the pitcher said that he was he didn't mean it in that that way and wishes that, you know, understands sorry for anyone who may have been a the classic sorry for anyone who may have been offended by what I said, but it's certainly not reflective of who I am as a person. Mark Hayes (32:51.55) Melee, huh? Nice. You gotta love it. Get out of here, boy. Mark Hayes (33:07.982) And may have been offended. Right. Brock Ganeles (33:16.604) But you hadn't seen that one yet? I was curious of your Mark Hayes (33:19.99) Now I just pulled it up and you know look, Brock, boy in that context is never gonna fly. you know, I'm thankful that no one has called me boy in my adult life, especially in my six foot three, you know, 220 plus pound life. because that would not have worked out well. wow, yeah, this ain't good. Contreras says who, me? And yeah, wow. Brock Ganeles (33:54.046) You think there's any way you think there's you think there's any way that that guy didn't didn't know what he was saying? He knew exactly what he was saying. Mark Hayes (33:59.24) he knew exactly what it was. Bro, he wouldn't have said it to a white player. He's saying it to a brown player. I I I I mean, we can't we can't keep saying, I didn't mean it that way. There's no other way to take it. There's no other way for it to be meant. Because we understand the connotation. Brock Ganeles (34:21.116) I mean baseball's a baseball's a yeah. Baseball's a redneck sport. This guy should get suspended. Mark Hayes (34:26.134) All day. Brock Ganeles (34:28.328) you should read a little more in the article 'cause I think his apology and his the fact that he has not reached out to Contreras directly and apologized is like weak sauce. And I find it almost unbelievable that he hasn't done that 'cause once again, you got fucking black and brown teammates, dude. You're gonna be traveling the country with them for eight months a year playing a hundred and sixty two games. Like you're gonna you're living in a fucking clubhouse. You're in there ten, twelve Mark Hayes (34:39.606) Right. Mark Hayes (34:47.298) Okay. Mark Hayes (34:53.592) Hold it again. Brock Ganeles (34:58.142) hours a day with these people. Mark Hayes (35:01.942) And then Brock and then in the off season you go down to Latin America to play in the last weeks to stay sharp. What the fuck? Brock Ganeles (35:12.038) I mean fucking ho holy jacks and darts, but only in a MAGA world do do people think that this is behavior that that's that that is okay. And I mean it just has to be called out and cracked down on, you know, all day every day. What do got for me? Mark Hayes (35:13.208) How are people so unaware? Mark Hayes (35:32.054) You know, trying to lighten the mood a little bit. Victor Willis. I don't know if you know that name, but you know his songs. In the Navy You Can Sail the Seven Seas. Yeah, he passed away at the age of seventy-four. One of the the writer for the Macho Man Macho Macho Man Macho A C A passed away. Brock Ganeles (35:46.33) okay. Brock Ganeles (36:01.199) the YMCA guy? Mark Hayes (36:03.042) Yeah. Yeah. He's gone on to the creepier. Brock Ganeles (36:06.664) How did a gay how did a gay how did a gay anthem become Donald Trump's theme song? And Magus Magus rolled with it for ten years? Mark Hayes (36:12.063) He didn't know. They they didn't know. No and no one's who who's gonna tell Brock Ganeles (36:21.107) Okay. Mark Hayes (36:22.744) Who's who's who's gotta tell? Yes. Brock Ganeles (36:24.094) Whose job is that, right? They're all they're all sitting around they're all sitting around going, Okay. Mark Hayes (36:29.39) That's a catchy tune, isn't it? Buncha idiots. But yeah, he passed away. He's gone on to glory. Yep. Hey, the guy couldn't make money in a casino where people give you money and expect absolutely nothing in return. Fuck Brock Ganeles (36:33.364) So they're just that that's the Emperor ha the Emperor has no clothes. That's the that is the classic Emperor has no clothes. Yeah. Brock Ganeles (36:48.2) But he can make money in cryptocurrency. Mark, always a pleasure. Keep up the fight. I'll talk to you tomorrow. Mark Hayes (36:53.07) The revolution shall be televised. Alright, my brother. Peace. Yes, sir.
