- 0:53Speaker 2: come see give them. Lala with n I want to
- 0:57Speaker 2: tell everybody some exciting things. We haven't even announce this
- 1:00Speaker 2: to anybody, but we actually have a game that we're
- 1:05Speaker 2: playing on our podcast tour called the Dating Game, How
- 1:09Speaker 2: well do you know your mate? Now, there's going to
- 1:12Speaker 2: be two couples, a celebrity couple and an audience couple
- 1:16Speaker 2: that we pick out of the audience, and then they're
- 1:18Speaker 2: gonna they're gonna ask us questions about you and me,
- 1:20Speaker 2: and we have to see if we know each other
- 1:21Speaker 2: as well as we think we do to win a
- 1:24Speaker 2: prize correct, And we're going to ask them questions of
- 1:27Speaker 2: an audience. A couple that we don't know at all,
- 1:29Speaker 2: we're going to see if they know each other well
- 1:30Speaker 2: enough or they're full of shit and they can win
- 1:33Speaker 2: a prize. And then we want to let people know
- 1:35Speaker 2: that on a few of our dates are different cities,
- 1:39Speaker 2: we're gonna have different celebrity couples. The first couple we
- 1:42Speaker 2: do want to announce that's going to be in this
- 1:44Speaker 2: particular segment is our friend Hannah from The Bachelor.
- 1:50Speaker 1: Yes, Hannah Godwin and her Man.
- 1:52Speaker 2: Hannah Godwin and her Man are going to be on
- 1:55Speaker 2: that segment at a bunch of cities, and every week
- 1:58Speaker 2: we're gonna announce more celebrity action pack games our tour.
- 2:03Speaker 2: I just want to make it clear before we go
- 2:04Speaker 2: in on our podcast. Hold on, I'm going to just
- 2:05Speaker 2: keep speaking. I swear all shut up because I can
- 2:07Speaker 2: see you want to just just kick my ass.
- 2:09Speaker 1: Can I tell you the number one thing, by the way,
- 2:11Speaker 1: we have my assistant. That's right, I have an assistant.
- 2:15Speaker 1: Randall is on one hundred today. I have an assistant.
- 2:20Speaker 1: That is correct because Randall got sick of me hijacking
- 2:23Speaker 1: his assistant to do things for me. So we have Jessica.
- 2:29Speaker 2: Hi, jess Jessica, Jessica's first time on the show. I
- 2:34Speaker 2: gotta say something that people don't know Jessica, but Jessica
- 2:37Speaker 2: could be one of the happiest assistants. Like Jessica is
- 2:42Speaker 2: the Disneyland of assistance.
- 2:43Speaker 1: Yes, Like if you're going to know Randall calls her bubbles.
- 2:47Speaker 2: I say that she's got the bubbly, happiest personality. And
- 2:50Speaker 2: that is the biggest compliment because I have never seen
- 2:52Speaker 2: an assistant ever come around anybody I am.
- 2:56Speaker 1: That's because she works for me, not you, Laala.
- 3:00Speaker 2: With all due respect, you can go the other way
- 3:03Speaker 2: very quickly, but I just want.
- 3:05Speaker 1: That was actually one of my first interview questions for
- 3:07Speaker 1: her is do you know how to shake things off?
- 3:10Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:10Speaker 3: Your first interview question was if I knew what give
- 3:15Speaker 3: them Laala was, and I was like, yes, of.
- 3:17Speaker 2: Course she'd get a research issues.
- 3:18Speaker 3: No, it's not.
- 3:19Speaker 1: It's because I knew.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I did my research, but I knew what give them all?
- 3:24Speaker 3: I followed, you.
- 3:25Speaker 2: Can I can I just say one thing because because
- 3:28Speaker 2: we just skipped right over the podcast, just I mean,
- 3:30Speaker 2: that's where sorry, And I want to get back to
- 3:32Speaker 2: Jessica because I have questions for Jessica. I just want
- 3:35Speaker 2: to say something back to the tour. I want people.
- 3:38Speaker 1: To know, well, I was bringing it back to the tour.
- 3:40Speaker 2: I want people to know very importantly that we've been
- 3:42Speaker 2: putting the show formatt together.
- 3:44Speaker 1: I was I was saying I was going to weigh
- 3:47Speaker 1: in on the tour, rand and then you sidetracked me,
- 3:50Speaker 1: and then I was going to tell Jessica that number
- 3:53Speaker 1: the number one thing on people that were like, this
- 3:56Speaker 1: is what I may change about the podcast. Randall doesn't
- 3:59Speaker 1: let Lalla talk, So let me weigh in for a sec.
- 4:04Speaker 1: My most exciting thing that we're going to do on
- 4:07Speaker 1: the tour is I'm going to go and sit in
- 4:10Speaker 1: the audience and let whoever I'm sitting next to ask
- 4:14Speaker 1: me anything in the entire world.
- 4:18Speaker 2: On that segment called ask Laala Anything. Yes, I want
- 4:22Speaker 2: people to know anything anything, No one, I want people
- 4:24Speaker 2: to know something. That's what it's just trying to get
- 4:26Speaker 2: out a broad statement here. We've been working on the
- 4:29Speaker 2: format of the show. You and I and I've wanted
- 4:31Speaker 2: the show to be what you want it to be
- 4:33Speaker 2: because it's your fans. You know, I've got a point
- 4:36Speaker 2: one percent there, and I want people to know that
- 4:39Speaker 2: you and I have really made it what you want
- 4:41Speaker 2: it to be, which is a very interactive show with
- 4:46Speaker 2: the audience, even though we're putting on an entertaining, you know,
- 4:51Speaker 2: event for the night for everybody. We want people to
- 4:54Speaker 2: feel like we're in their living room, right And you
- 4:56Speaker 2: went out of your way to say to me as
- 4:58Speaker 2: we design all the different fun segments that you want
- 5:01Speaker 2: to be interactive throughout the entire night with the audience.
- 5:04Speaker 2: And I just want people to know that when you
- 5:06Speaker 2: come to the Give Them Laala with Rand tour, you're
- 5:09Speaker 2: going to spend a lot of time with Laala in
- 5:12Speaker 2: your face, in the audience, on your lap, talking shit,
- 5:16Speaker 2: making you do shots. It's going to be off the charts.
- 5:18Speaker 1: Do you think that'll be a detour for people? They're like,
- 5:20Speaker 1: we like Lalla, but we don't know that we want
- 5:21Speaker 1: to interface that much. I think people will dig it.
- 5:25Speaker 2: I think people that are coming to see Laala want
- 5:28Speaker 2: to be up in Lalla's business. Okay, yeah, and I'm gonna,
- 5:31Speaker 2: I'm gonna, I'm gonna let you go.
- 5:33Speaker 1: I feel like I don't want to hold anything back.
- 5:35Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, Lala's less.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Than I love that, and I'm the most excited, I think,
- 5:39Speaker 3: for people to realize just how funny you are. You guys,
- 5:44Speaker 3: Lalla is one of the funniest people I know. And
- 5:46Speaker 3: that's for me saying that it's it's wild.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So I don't think very many people are funny.
- 5:53Speaker 3: Just no, I do not think very I think Lala
- 5:56Speaker 3: comes in a number one, Randall comes in at number two,
- 5:59Speaker 3: and then, like other comedians.
- 6:01Speaker 2: Hold on, hold on goes listen to that. Oh that's
- 6:04Speaker 2: Jessica kissing her boss's ask did everybody know that I did?
- 6:07Speaker 2: I did? I did?
- 6:08Speaker 1: I don't feel that way. I feel like there's been
- 6:11Speaker 1: so many times where I'm like, hey, have you seen
- 6:13Speaker 1: my Instagram page? Like it looks pretty good, and she's like, no, really,
- 6:17Speaker 1: you need to step your game up.
- 6:19Speaker 2: I think jess I think jess that was a big
- 6:21Speaker 2: kisss move. But there's nothing wrong with that because when
- 6:23Speaker 2: I was an assistant, when I was in a system,
- 6:25Speaker 2: I did that shit too, So it's no problem. But
- 6:26Speaker 2: I will say that Jessica.
- 6:28Speaker 1: Is I think I'm funny.
- 6:29Speaker 2: Hold On, first of all, I definitely think you're funny.
- 6:33Speaker 2: If I didn't think you were funny, I wouldn't have
- 6:35Speaker 2: been hanging out with you this long. You're pretty funny, Okay,
- 6:37Speaker 2: I don't think people. I think Jessica's point is valid.
- 6:40Speaker 2: I think that people don't realize because you come across
- 6:42Speaker 2: so hard and so you know, tough, and you know,
- 6:45Speaker 2: you're very in people's faces, and you have a very
- 6:49Speaker 2: smart tongue and all that. But I think that Jessica's right.
- 6:52Speaker 2: People don't see that other side of you, and I hope. Well,
- 6:55Speaker 2: I mean, I know for sure, the way we're doing
- 6:57Speaker 2: this tour and all these fun segments and episodes and
- 6:59Speaker 2: different things we're doing, people are going to definitely see.
- 7:01Speaker 2: I agree with Jessica, they are going to see that
- 7:04Speaker 2: funny side of you.
- 7:05Speaker 1: I'm not gonna lie. I really needed the boost of
- 7:07Speaker 1: like egoists today.
- 7:09Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 7:10Speaker 1: I woke up and I was like, my ego is
- 7:11Speaker 1: a little deflated. I don't know why I need someone
- 7:15Speaker 1: to repuff it up. So I appreciate you both.
- 7:19Speaker 3: It's the truth.
- 7:20Speaker 2: Well, yeah, I find Jessica every day and you just
- 7:22Speaker 2: wake up and you.
- 7:23Speaker 1: Just say you do you have multiple.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Sean Sean am I funny, oh top five in the office,
- 7:35Speaker 2: because there's only five of us here.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Sean doesn't even know his name half the time.
- 7:39Speaker 2: I want to say that Sean Stone, by the way,
- 7:42Speaker 2: which is very exciting, and go to his Instagram, very exciting.
- 7:44Speaker 2: My assistant Sean Stone made his debut on vander Rupp
- 7:49Speaker 2: Rules this season, so let's give Sean out of the
- 7:51Speaker 2: class Sean anyway. So I'm just the only reason I
- 7:56Speaker 2: want to start podcast before we get into the good
- 7:58Speaker 2: fun stuff, is that I do want people to our
- 8:00Speaker 2: tour that they don't realize how I don't think people
- 8:03Speaker 2: realize I didn't realize them. You committed to the tour,
- 8:06Speaker 2: how much work we've had to do, rehearsal and ideas
- 8:10Speaker 2: and segments, and just really really make it because you've
- 8:13Speaker 2: said to me, I'm not doing this tour unless it's
- 8:16Speaker 2: exactly what my fans you can really sore, right.
- 8:20Speaker 1: I also respect the fact that people are going to
- 8:22Speaker 1: like pay money to come and see something. So it's
- 8:25Speaker 1: like me just showing up. It's like you're not fucking Beyonce.
- 8:31Speaker 1: You can't just show up like you better bring something cool, right.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Right, But that's what I think. I want people to
- 8:37Speaker 2: know that you have been every night with me. You'll
- 8:40Speaker 2: give me notes and you'll give me the paper and
- 8:42Speaker 2: we'll go through the segments and you're like, it's not
- 8:44Speaker 2: funny or I don't think I think fans will be
- 8:46Speaker 2: bored with this. Let's throw it out and you keep
- 8:48Speaker 2: reinventing the show and we keep pushing because you're saying
- 8:52Speaker 2: to me, I'm not signing off on the night until
- 8:56Speaker 2: I feel that the fans can soak it up and
- 8:59Speaker 2: really get at something and have fun and laugh and
- 9:01Speaker 2: have a fun night and make it interactive. You're not
- 9:04Speaker 2: the way the show lineup is right now. People don't realize.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Fans don't realize when they come, if they buy a ticket,
- 9:09Speaker 2: you're in the audience, I would say twenty thirty minutes.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I mean, I mean you're in there a lot. I
- 9:15Speaker 2: mean you really put yourself in there a lot. And
- 9:17Speaker 2: we're going to have over ten or twelve fans on
- 9:19Speaker 2: stage throughout the night, So this is really going to
- 9:22Speaker 2: be a really fun, interactive Let it go, Let it
- 9:26Speaker 2: go and just have a blast. So I'm excited. I'm
- 9:29Speaker 2: excited to see how it goes.
- 9:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm super excited too. So again, you guys, Randall
- 9:34Speaker 1: and I are going on tour. It is called Give
- 9:37Speaker 1: Them La La with Randall Live. It starts November thirtieth.
- 9:41Speaker 1: We start in Dallas, Texas, then we hit Austin, Houston,
- 9:45Speaker 1: then we head to New Orleans. That's going to be
- 9:47Speaker 1: so fun. All of these are going to be fun.
- 9:50Speaker 1: Then December fifth, we're in Fort Lauderdale, then Clearwater, then Orlando,
- 9:54Speaker 1: and then our last stop is Hot Lanta. I'm so excited.
- 9:58Speaker 2: And we've sold out a couple of the VIP me
- 10:01Speaker 2: and greets. I think they're opening up a few more spots.
- 10:03Speaker 1: They are because actually I didn't realize how like in
- 10:06Speaker 1: demand the VIPs would be. Those sold out.
- 10:08Speaker 2: So fast, yeah, where those were like.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Yeah, we add some more.
- 10:13Speaker 2: And I also want people to know and part of
- 10:14Speaker 2: our show. And that's why it's so interactive. That's why
- 10:16Speaker 2: you went out of your way to make sure that
- 10:18Speaker 2: as we do the lineup, you said, you know, I
- 10:19Speaker 2: want it to be so interactive. I want people to
- 10:21Speaker 2: know even if you don't get a meet and great,
- 10:23Speaker 2: you will be meeting Laala. Whether you like it or not,
- 10:25Speaker 2: she will be in your face in that audience. So
- 10:28Speaker 2: we have a whole section called insta Selfie Time. So
- 10:32Speaker 2: that's where Lala is just going to bust through the
- 10:34Speaker 2: audience and selfie herself. So there you go.
- 10:36Speaker 1: It's all about selfie myself with them by yourself. Yeah right,
- 10:43Speaker 1: So if you want to come play with us again,
- 10:46Speaker 1: gets on Laala with Rand. All you have to do
- 10:49Speaker 1: is go to give them Live dot com.
- 10:52Speaker 2: All right, So big news in the vander Pump Rules world,
- 10:56Speaker 2: as you know, Jessica, Hold.
- 10:58Speaker 1: Up, are we just going to jump right into vander
- 11:00Speaker 1: Rules world when you literally just had a movie come
- 11:03Speaker 1: out called Midnight in the Switchgrass. Don't know if anyone's
- 11:06Speaker 1: heard of it.
- 11:08Speaker 2: That's what us great great, great night. You know what.
- 11:11Speaker 2: We had the premiere last week. It was really special.
- 11:13Speaker 2: You know what I feel like, it's talking about me
- 11:15Speaker 2: is just odd because I talk so much and I
- 11:18Speaker 2: want your fans to hear you. But they like you.
- 11:21Speaker 1: That's why it's called give them La La with Rand.
- 11:23Speaker 2: And that's just it's called that's bullshit. It's called give
- 11:25Speaker 2: them the La with Rand because.
- 11:27Speaker 1: I'm just here No, that's what makes the name funny
- 11:31Speaker 1: because it's like give them laala with Randall, but really
- 11:34Speaker 1: it's like it's the two of us that a compliment. No,
- 11:37Speaker 1: it's so I'm telling you how it's said because it's
- 11:39Speaker 1: supposed to be funny. But the podcast is about you
- 11:41Speaker 1: and me, babe.
- 11:42Speaker 2: Okay, So I did have a premiere. It was fantastic,
- 11:46Speaker 2: very proud. Everybody came out, and I will just say
- 11:50Speaker 2: it was a really neat experience because I've I've had
- 11:52Speaker 2: a lot of premieres in my career as a producer,
- 11:54Speaker 2: never one as a director. And the one thing I
- 11:58Speaker 2: take away from the premiere that will never happen again
- 12:00Speaker 2: is I will never sit in the movie theater of
- 12:02Speaker 2: a movie I direct. That was intense, depressing and overwhelming,
- 12:07Speaker 2: and only just because it's like I really put my
- 12:10Speaker 2: soul into that film, and as a director, that's what
- 12:13Speaker 2: you do much different than a producer. I'm not saying that.
- 12:15Speaker 1: You were actually really funny like at the premiere because
- 12:18Speaker 1: we're sitting there yea, and literally it would have been
- 12:22Speaker 1: like five minutes the film was five minutes in and
- 12:24Speaker 1: Randa was like, it's not very good. Do you think
- 12:26Speaker 1: it's good. It sucks right, it does it. I'm like it,
- 12:30Speaker 1: Like the credits are still popping about what the fuck
- 12:33Speaker 1: are you talking about? You know, it's right. And I
- 12:36Speaker 1: was like very impressed with everyone's performances. And I think
- 12:40Speaker 1: that everyone committed to their character. Like Emil is obviously
- 12:45Speaker 1: insanely talented, Caitlin Carmichael was committed to her role. I mean,
- 12:51Speaker 1: Lucas Hawes, you can't go wrong. Megan Fox, who you know,
- 12:55Speaker 1: she's just badass. I mean MGK brought his own grill
- 12:59Speaker 1: to like put in for him his character, like he
- 13:01Speaker 1: was in charge of like his hairdo, like he committed
- 13:03Speaker 1: to the role.
- 13:03Speaker 2: Listen, everybody on the movie. Everybody in the movie is
- 13:07Speaker 2: an incredible actor. I'm very grateful as a first time director,
- 13:12Speaker 2: I had a great cast. I wouldn't trade it for
- 13:14Speaker 2: the world. I wouldn't change anything. And I'm just proud
- 13:17Speaker 2: of what everybody did on the film. And now I'm
- 13:20Speaker 2: editing my second movie I directed with Robert de Niro
- 13:23Speaker 2: and John Moultviitch and Jack Houston Fitzgerald, and I learned
- 13:28Speaker 2: a lot from the first one, and I'm even more
- 13:30Speaker 2: excited now to continue the journey. So thank you for
- 13:33Speaker 2: being there and thank you for supporting me.
- 13:35Speaker 1: We are very proud of you, baby, oh for real.
- 13:38Speaker 2: And by the way, we were number two on rent
- 13:40Speaker 2: all time rentals on iTunes and number two and all
- 13:44Speaker 2: time sales I mean not sales for iTunes this weekend.
- 13:47Speaker 2: So that is like for an independent, lower budgeted film,
- 13:51Speaker 2: that's a big deal to break in the top.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Are you allowed to tell us what the budget was
- 13:54Speaker 1: to make that film?
- 13:55Speaker 2: It was a low budget. He's a lower budget. I
- 13:58Speaker 2: don't think the studio wants me to say.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Exactly, but it's considered a low budget film.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:02Speaker 1: And in the iTunes with iTunes, I mean you were
- 14:05Speaker 1: going up against real like studio films, a massive budget.
- 14:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and we got numbers, were ranked right now as
- 14:10Speaker 2: we speak, number two, I think in three, and we're
- 14:13Speaker 2: up against movies that had thirty seven hundred screen wide releases.
- 14:17Speaker 1: So, like you want to know, what's also amazing is
- 14:20Speaker 1: that my movie also came about.
- 14:24Speaker 2: Your movie was in the top five out of Duck with.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Bruce Willis and Jamie King, And it was amazing because
- 14:30Speaker 1: Randall's movie we were like neck and neck and then
- 14:33Speaker 1: he like obviously passed be right.
- 14:35Speaker 2: But you guys were there and then we were behind you.
- 14:37Speaker 2: Then we passed. But I mean we were side by
- 14:39Speaker 2: side for like, you know, part of a part of
- 14:41Speaker 2: the day. And the great thing about that is the
- 14:43Speaker 2: director of that movie is my childhood best friend who
- 14:47Speaker 2: we started making videos together we were like twelve years old.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Yeah, so Ra's best friend, Mike Burns, directed Out of Death.
- 14:56Speaker 1: It was his first film. Thank god I was working
- 15:00Speaker 1: with him because you know, and it was his first
- 15:02Speaker 1: but we know each other like that. And I won't
- 15:04Speaker 1: even lie. It was five months pregnant and I was
- 15:06Speaker 1: an emotional fucking diva.
- 15:10Speaker 2: Hormones.
- 15:11Speaker 1: The hormones were like massive, and normally like I show
- 15:15Speaker 1: up on set and they're like, roll in the mud,
- 15:17Speaker 1: and I'm like, let's fucking do it. Put me in
- 15:19Speaker 1: the mud, like do whatever. Five months pregnant, I was like,
- 15:22Speaker 1: fuck you, I'm not rolling in the mud. But then
- 15:25Speaker 1: I'd do it anyway. But of course I'm just like
- 15:27Speaker 1: I couldn't control my emotions.
- 15:28Speaker 2: You would call me and you'd be like balling one second,
- 15:31Speaker 2: you know, upset, and I'm having.
- 15:33Speaker 1: The best day ever. And what's crazy is literally the
- 15:37Speaker 1: second we wrapped, I'm not even kidding you, Jess, Like
- 15:41Speaker 1: a week later, I got huge, like I can't believe,
- 15:44Speaker 1: like my stomach. You couldn't really tell I was pregnant.
- 15:46Speaker 1: And then the second we wrapped it was like, oh, hello,
- 15:49Speaker 1: Ocean is like deciding to like say, what's up. No,
- 15:52Speaker 1: you couldn't tell it all.
- 15:53Speaker 3: And I so wait, your directorial debut and your childhood
- 15:58Speaker 3: best friend it came out at the same time.
- 16:00Speaker 2: He has came out a week before him and Lawa's
- 16:02Speaker 2: movie came out a week before mine came out this weekend.
- 16:04Speaker 2: But they weren't in the top five at the time
- 16:07Speaker 2: that we started.
- 16:07Speaker 1: Both your directorial debuts.
- 16:10Speaker 2: That's so amazing the chances of that area. It's like insane.
- 16:13Speaker 2: It's pretty cool.
- 16:14Speaker 3: And I saw them both, and I obviously loved Midnight
- 16:16Speaker 3: in the Switchgrass.
- 16:17Speaker 1: And Out of Death.
- 16:19Speaker 3: I watched that yesterday with my boyfriend Kyle, and and
- 16:27Speaker 3: I was actually my mouth dropped open at Laala's acting.
- 16:33Speaker 3: And I'm not kidding it was in and I know
- 16:37Speaker 3: I'm kissing her ass again, I guess hold on.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Hold on, guys, wait one second, one second, so let
- 16:42Speaker 2: me hear of this. Hold on, did everybody hear that again?
- 16:46Speaker 3: No, it was amazing.
- 16:48Speaker 1: It was amazing.
- 16:49Speaker 2: I'm going to say something. I just you just left
- 16:51Speaker 2: that moment for me to say, but I'm gonna say something,
- 16:54Speaker 2: and I really mean this, and you know I've said
- 16:55Speaker 2: it to you many times. People do not realize unless
- 16:59Speaker 2: they've seen Laala where she is a really really good
- 17:01Speaker 2: actor and people and if you watch her and access
- 17:06Speaker 2: Sally with metto Williams and al Pacino and U swean teel,
- 17:11Speaker 2: if you watch this movie and access Sally, she has
- 17:14Speaker 2: a scene opposite al Pacino. And I remember I was
- 17:17Speaker 2: in town that day because I was producing, I was visiting,
- 17:20Speaker 2: and she goes up against him and has this moment
- 17:23Speaker 2: with the judge where she like basically talks shit and
- 17:25Speaker 2: puts him in his place. And he turned to her
- 17:28Speaker 2: on the set and was like, you're a really good actor,
- 17:31Speaker 2: and I was like, oh shit, just and by the way,
- 17:35Speaker 2: we all watched the smallment because you don't know how
- 17:36Speaker 2: somebody when they go up against al Pacino, it's going
- 17:38Speaker 2: to be And she really is a very good actor.
- 17:40Speaker 2: And I can talk a lot of shit and have
- 17:42Speaker 2: fun with her, but as an actor, you're you're the
- 17:44Speaker 2: real deal. And I'm really excited to see what you
- 17:46Speaker 2: do in the future.
- 17:46Speaker 1: Thank you for saying that iss gone away. I don't
- 17:52Speaker 1: know what I feel great now.
- 17:57Speaker 2: We had to keep it light this week's podcast anyway.
- 18:00Speaker 2: So having said that, thank you. It was a great night.
- 18:03Speaker 2: It was very special and it was a big moment.
- 18:05Speaker 2: My mother was in town, Your mother was in town.
- 18:08Speaker 2: It was it was great and we had a great
- 18:10Speaker 2: night and celebrated. And that was right as everything was
- 18:13Speaker 2: shutting down kind of like, well, we were having a
- 18:16Speaker 2: mask up again here in Los Angeles. So I'm glad
- 18:18Speaker 2: we were able to pull that off. We're going to
- 18:21Speaker 2: take a break real quick and we come back. Hopefully
- 18:23Speaker 2: you'll spill some tea with us about Fanner pump rules.
- 18:26Speaker 1: We call it vander Talk.
- 18:28Speaker 2: And that's a segment on our tour.
- 18:36Speaker 1: We're back.
- 18:38Speaker 2: So I wanted to tell everybody that you right after
- 18:44Speaker 2: having Ocean, like you, I want to set the stage
- 18:47Speaker 2: for Lalla's life. Lala had been home pregnant right after
- 18:52Speaker 2: that movie, pregnant, waiting to have Ocean. You had Ocean,
- 18:55Speaker 2: and then you were like nestled up.
- 18:57Speaker 1: The Randall and I conceived Ocean during him directing midnight
- 19:02Speaker 1: in the switchgrass.
- 19:03Speaker 2: That is correct in Puerto Rico. In Puerto Rico, so
- 19:07Speaker 2: so everything was great. Lala was chilling. She was just
- 19:10Speaker 2: you know, nesting, getting ready to have her baby, and
- 19:13Speaker 2: you know, Vander Pumperoles hadn't been picked up yet to
- 19:16Speaker 2: come back, and she was like living her best life.
- 19:19Speaker 2: And then she has the baby. Same like within weeks
- 19:23Speaker 2: before having the baby, they said, by the way, Laala,
- 19:25Speaker 2: you're coming back in vander Pumperles and you're coming back
- 19:27Speaker 2: like literally four weeks.
- 19:29Speaker 3: No.
- 19:29Speaker 1: It was crazy how that happened because I had like
- 19:32Speaker 1: had a year off. Basically, we decide to have a baby,
- 19:37Speaker 1: and then all of a sudden, like I get all
- 19:40Speaker 1: these phone calls and it's like the show's been picked up,
- 19:42Speaker 1: we need to pick up cameras next week. I was like,
- 19:45Speaker 1: I'm having Ocean next week. They were like, we got
- 19:47Speaker 1: to catch you before you give birth, so it makes sense,
- 19:50Speaker 1: got to see you with the belly. Then I get
- 19:52Speaker 1: another phone call it's like, by the way, we are
- 19:55Speaker 1: the book is coming out. Oh, by the way, we're
- 19:58Speaker 1: relaunching give them Law Beauty. Also the baby line. Also
- 20:02Speaker 1: we're doing skin And I literally was like.
- 20:04Speaker 2: Melt down, What the fuck?
- 20:06Speaker 1: I haven't had to be a person in over a year,
- 20:09Speaker 1: and especially.
- 20:09Speaker 2: Coming out of the pandemic, people you know, obviously got
- 20:12Speaker 2: used to having to be inside and life slow down
- 20:15Speaker 2: and be in the moment. And I just want to say, like,
- 20:17Speaker 2: what for me was crazy? For you? You know, your
- 20:21Speaker 2: first time mother and you had to figure it out
- 20:24Speaker 2: not only raising your child but balancing work, which you
- 20:27Speaker 2: struggle with a lot. You got very upset many times emotionally,
- 20:31Speaker 2: you know, which I understood, because you would have to
- 20:33Speaker 2: leave ocean for four hours film come you know, in
- 20:36Speaker 2: the ocean would be off to the side, and you
- 20:39Speaker 2: always wanted to be at home with her, and so
- 20:41Speaker 2: that that was three four you know, long time of
- 20:43Speaker 2: filming whatever, for four months of filming. Now that it's finished,
- 20:48Speaker 2: now that she's four months, four and a half months, whatever.
- 20:53Speaker 2: Now that it's over, the season's over, and you've had
- 20:55Speaker 2: a week or two to kind of reflect, I'm curious
- 20:59Speaker 2: to know, like, how do you feel about this season?
- 21:02Speaker 2: You know, obviously they're not going to let you say
- 21:03Speaker 2: anything in detail, but how do you, like, did you
- 21:06Speaker 2: feel it was different the same, especially having two years
- 21:10Speaker 2: off with the pandemic. Just how was it to go
- 21:12Speaker 2: back to work and what and what was different or
- 21:14Speaker 2: what was new and exciting or not.
- 21:17Speaker 1: I mean, obviously the hardest part was to go back
- 21:20Speaker 1: without a lot of my friends.
- 21:23Speaker 2: You know.
- 21:23Speaker 1: Yeah, that was the most intense part. And from that
- 21:28Speaker 1: standpoint of like, my friends won't be there anymore, then
- 21:31Speaker 1: there was the other viewpoint of like, when we're filming
- 21:34Speaker 1: this show, like what is it going to look like?
- 21:37Speaker 2: And and you had to you have Ocean with you.
- 21:41Speaker 2: I mean, you're breastfeeding all day.
- 21:43Speaker 1: So that was hard for me. Randon. Here's why most
- 21:47Speaker 1: people so in the state of California, whether you're filming
- 21:51Speaker 1: a reality TV show, a movie, or a sitcom, whatever
- 21:54Speaker 1: it may be, all of the laws still come into play.
- 22:00Speaker 1: So even though we're filming a reality show and Ocean
- 22:03Speaker 1: is my real life baby, she can only be on
- 22:06Speaker 1: camera for twenty minutes and there has to be a
- 22:08Speaker 1: teacher and a nurse on quote unquote set, meaning at
- 22:13Speaker 1: my home or wherever I go.
- 22:15Speaker 2: Child like a child safe.
- 22:16Speaker 1: Correct, Like they treat them like their actors, just you know,
- 22:19Speaker 1: and I believe that's only in California. So you know,
- 22:23Speaker 1: I have to go and film and you know, make
- 22:26Speaker 1: this show with my cast members and my friends. And
- 22:31Speaker 1: if they don't have a teacher on set or a nurse,
- 22:34Speaker 1: Ocean can't come with me. So leaving her behind so
- 22:37Speaker 1: much was brutal. It was heart wrenching, and like there
- 22:41Speaker 1: were many days where I'd come home and I would
- 22:43Speaker 1: feel like, I'll be honest, I felt like a really
- 22:45Speaker 1: shitty mom. I'd be like, what am I doing? Like
- 22:49Speaker 1: I need to be with my baby all the time,
- 22:51Speaker 1: and even though she may not remember, like, I'm going
- 22:54Speaker 1: to remember, right, And I was worried that I would
- 22:56Speaker 1: miss out on all of these firsts. And luckily, the
- 23:00Speaker 1: other day she rolled for the first time, and I
- 23:06Speaker 1: was talking to the person her name's Liz, who watches
- 23:09Speaker 1: Oh when I have to go and work, and she
- 23:11Speaker 1: was like, she rolled. I've been working with her on that,
- 23:14Speaker 1: but she never did it. And I was like, oh,
- 23:17Speaker 1: Ocean listened to me when I told her, like, don't
- 23:19Speaker 1: do anything while I'm gone, Please do it all just
- 23:23Speaker 1: for me. But that was like the hardest part is
- 23:26Speaker 1: leaving her behind. But I'm praying to God that when
- 23:29Speaker 1: she gets older, she'll she'll look at me and think
- 23:31Speaker 1: like my mom went out and worked and she like
- 23:34Speaker 1: busted her ass, and hopefully I give your a work ethic.
- 23:38Speaker 2: I always say that to you. I mean, because you
- 23:39Speaker 2: have tears Jannes now, and you had many days, you know,
- 23:42Speaker 2: when we were you know, when you would go away
- 23:44Speaker 2: for two or three hours to film or whatever, you know,
- 23:47Speaker 2: wherever amount of time. You were lucky you had the
- 23:49Speaker 2: baby with you, she had her with you or within
- 23:52Speaker 2: feet of you for most of it. Yes, but I
- 23:54Speaker 2: know there were days that you were really stressed or
- 23:56Speaker 2: just couldn't it just the environment didn't provide. But I
- 23:59Speaker 2: will say, and I feel, at least my opinion is
- 24:02Speaker 2: that she will look back and she'll get to see
- 24:05Speaker 2: her mom as an independent woman who's making a living
- 24:10Speaker 2: and a career woman, you know, And I think that
- 24:12Speaker 2: that's something as a role model for our daughter. So
- 24:15Speaker 2: I think that it was hard for you and clearly
- 24:18Speaker 2: hard for anybody, any mother. But at the same time,
- 24:21Speaker 2: I think that you know, it's not like you. You know,
- 24:24Speaker 2: there are there are women that have to go off
- 24:27Speaker 2: to war, and there are women that have to go
- 24:29Speaker 2: off to jobs for three months at a time, right
- 24:31Speaker 2: you know where they you know. So I'm saying, like
- 24:33Speaker 2: I think you're it was hard for you, and it
- 24:36Speaker 2: makes sense. But I also think you're going to be
- 24:38Speaker 2: grateful that she's going to grow up and look at
- 24:40Speaker 2: her mom and be like, my mom's a badass and
- 24:43Speaker 2: is a career woman and makes a really good living
- 24:46Speaker 2: working her ass off, and I think that's a role model,
- 24:49Speaker 2: you know, thing that she's going to look up to.
- 24:51Speaker 1: I just have a different outlook on mothers who are
- 24:55Speaker 1: like doing the damn thing, whether you like, are a
- 24:57Speaker 1: stay at home mom, no matter what it is, is
- 25:00Speaker 1: that you're out doing Like I look at moms very
- 25:03Speaker 1: differently now because I am one, and I know that
- 25:05Speaker 1: it's a struggle and mom shaming is real, and people
- 25:08Speaker 1: like to like say what like they like to have
- 25:11Speaker 1: the narrative. It's like, oh, you're going out and doing this,
- 25:14Speaker 1: you must not care, or oh you're a stay at
- 25:17Speaker 1: home mom. Your child's you know, there are those women
- 25:20Speaker 1: out here who just fucking sling judgments.
- 25:23Speaker 2: I agree, but you know what, at the end of
- 25:25Speaker 2: the day, like you're building a really really healthy nest egg.
- 25:32Speaker 2: And you know, the thing that people don't realize with
- 25:35Speaker 2: you is that, yes, I pay all the.
- 25:37Speaker 1: Bills, but if he didn't, I know they would still
- 25:42Speaker 1: get paid by me.
- 25:44Speaker 2: No, but I no, but it's not even that I'm joking.
- 25:46Speaker 2: But what I'm saying is like, you know, people don't realize,
- 25:50Speaker 2: like when you want a new crib, like you don't
- 25:53Speaker 2: call me on I've never I've never got a phone
- 25:55Speaker 2: call where you go, hey, I want a new crib bran,
- 25:58Speaker 2: you just order this shit.
- 25:59Speaker 1: You know You's so funny, realize people don't realize. And
- 26:03Speaker 1: I don't know any couple that like moves in and
- 26:06Speaker 1: like they have a husband or I don't personally know where.
- 26:10Speaker 1: I feel like people are like, oh, well rand pays
- 26:13Speaker 1: for everything. It's like, yeah, he provides us with the
- 26:15Speaker 1: home and like he put pays the light bill or
- 26:18Speaker 1: you know this that and the other cars, all the cars.
- 26:20Speaker 1: But let's just say I told someone like we split
- 26:23Speaker 1: all of that, they'd be like, why doesn't randall take
- 26:26Speaker 1: care of that? I don't understand. Yeah, I don't get it.
- 26:30Speaker 1: Like there's there's it's it's a lose lose.
- 26:32Speaker 2: Right, you can't win, no matter why. But no, but here,
- 26:34Speaker 2: but here's what I say. Of course I provide, you know.
- 26:39Speaker 2: I mean that's I feel like it's I'm in a
- 26:41Speaker 2: position and I and I and I provide for a family.
- 26:43Speaker 2: But like, for instance, if you go, people don't realize
- 26:47Speaker 2: if you want a purse, and a purse is a
- 26:49Speaker 2: luxury add on item, right, it's it's something that you
- 26:53Speaker 2: you just order it. Like you don't call me ever,
- 26:55Speaker 2: you don't say, Ran, I really want to purse over
- 26:58Speaker 2: at this story. You just order stuff, you mean. And
- 27:00Speaker 2: by the way, with the baby, I see boxes and
- 27:03Speaker 2: boxes coming every week of clothes for our child. And
- 27:06Speaker 2: I tried the other.
- 27:07Speaker 1: Day, we get the clothes, let's talk about the diapers.
- 27:09Speaker 1: Now that's the real thing. I'm like another.
- 27:13Speaker 2: Box but here, But here's here's the funny thing. We
- 27:17Speaker 2: were at the store the other day in the mall
- 27:19Speaker 2: and I was trying to I said, I want to
- 27:20Speaker 2: buy Ocean some new clothes, and you're like, Ran, we
- 27:24Speaker 2: have more than enough clothes than we're ever going to
- 27:26Speaker 2: I'm like, who bought the clothes? She's like I did,
- 27:29Speaker 2: and I'm like, see, So there are tons of things
- 27:31Speaker 2: that people don't realize, Like Lolly, when you want to
- 27:34Speaker 2: buy something, you just buy you don't you know it,
- 27:35Speaker 2: that's not even a thing, and you pay for it
- 27:37Speaker 2: and it's from the money that you make. So I
- 27:39Speaker 2: just I want to always take my hat off because
- 27:41Speaker 2: I don't think people do that enough for you, because
- 27:45Speaker 2: you know, it's like, yeah, I do what I do,
- 27:48Speaker 2: but at the same time, you make a very successful
- 27:52Speaker 2: living and you contribute a lot.
- 27:55Speaker 1: I kind of shot myself in the foot when we
- 27:57Speaker 1: first met because I was like, yeah, TJ's re pg it,
- 28:00Speaker 1: you know, like it was like, I just I did
- 28:02Speaker 1: all of these things because people were calling me that.
- 28:04Speaker 1: So I was like, well, I'm just going to feed
- 28:06Speaker 1: into this shit, so that I kind of made it
- 28:10Speaker 1: very easy. But now people and I don't want to
- 28:12Speaker 1: discredit to people because I think more people than not
- 28:16Speaker 1: sit here and definitely show me a lot of love
- 28:18Speaker 1: and respect. But for those who don't, it's just like
- 28:21Speaker 1: it's much easier to be like, oh, Laila has all
- 28:23Speaker 1: this because she's a gold digger, rather than like, oh,
- 28:26Speaker 1: the bitch worked hard. You know, it's much easier to
- 28:29Speaker 1: It makes you feel better when you're like, she has
- 28:31Speaker 1: that because someone else gave it to it, right.
- 28:33Speaker 2: But what I think people don't realize is you make
- 28:35Speaker 2: a very good living. I work very hard too, and
- 28:38Speaker 2: at the end of the day, you know, I think
- 28:41Speaker 2: people don't sometimes just don't want to give you the credit.
- 28:43Speaker 2: And the thing is, you work from the morning from
- 28:45Speaker 2: the minute you wake up in the morning to the
- 28:47Speaker 2: minute you go to sleep. You're always on the phone.
- 28:48Speaker 2: You're always you know, promoting and doing your different stuff
- 28:51Speaker 2: and building new brands and and and you could have
- 28:54Speaker 2: you could go the other way. You could have just
- 28:56Speaker 2: you know, sat down and been like, you know what,
- 28:58Speaker 2: I take my hat off, but I'm done. I'm going
- 29:01Speaker 2: to sit and be a mom.
- 29:02Speaker 1: Well, that pandemic really made me think, do I want
- 29:05Speaker 1: to keep truying to make sure happen becaues this cushy lifestyle.
- 29:10Speaker 1: I kind of like it, But I think I knew
- 29:12Speaker 1: because it wasn't forever.
- 29:14Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, you were you were really I think
- 29:16Speaker 2: you would have been okay for another few months at
- 29:17Speaker 2: the house.
- 29:19Speaker 1: I'm okay, okay, I won't even lie. Like I loved
- 29:23Speaker 1: going to Your Help Me movie premiere, the movie premiere,
- 29:27Speaker 1: Thank You. I loved going to it, But when I
- 29:29Speaker 1: got home, I was like, you know, I actually thoroughly
- 29:32Speaker 1: enjoy not doing anything. You know, there are times where
- 29:35Speaker 1: I'll sit there and be like, you need to go
- 29:36Speaker 1: out and like experience things, and then I go out
- 29:39Speaker 1: and experience things, and I'm like, I'd rather experience the
- 29:42Speaker 1: inside of my eyelids, to be honest, you know, yeah,
- 29:46Speaker 1: I think sounds fun.
- 29:47Speaker 2: I think that's I think you know, you're a homebody
- 29:50Speaker 2: and there's nothing wrong with that. I think that you
- 29:52Speaker 2: enjoy being at home relaxing watching TV. But you know,
- 29:56Speaker 2: but the other thing that people don't realize is when
- 29:58Speaker 2: you're somebody like you who always has to go and
- 30:01Speaker 2: make appearances and do things and go to events and
- 30:04Speaker 2: always kind of be around people a lot, then I
- 30:06Speaker 2: think you go the other way, you know. So it's
- 30:08Speaker 2: like you'll do the things you do because you love
- 30:10Speaker 2: being around your fans or being an events that you
- 30:13Speaker 2: that you're promoting your businesses and stuff. You enjoy that.
- 30:16Speaker 2: But I think then you get a little burnt out
- 30:18Speaker 2: where you need to like retreat and have quiet.
- 30:20Speaker 1: Right, So back back to my most favorite part of
- 30:23Speaker 1: filming this season honestly everything, Like, oh really, yeah, I
- 30:29Speaker 1: was digging it all. I think I had a new
- 30:32Speaker 1: respect for the show, right because we went through so much, yes,
- 30:36Speaker 1: and so.
- 30:37Speaker 2: You had appreciation much more than you ever because you know,
- 30:41Speaker 2: for two years you guys.
- 30:42Speaker 1: Were all When I got the phone call that it
- 30:44Speaker 1: was like, we've been picked up and we're starting on
- 30:48Speaker 1: May fourth. I was like, I feel so blessed right now.
- 30:53Speaker 1: I feel so lucky, Like how did this happen?
- 30:56Speaker 2: And you guys are in season nine week People don't realize,
- 30:59Speaker 2: Like I always tell people, I'm like, to have nine
- 31:01Speaker 2: seasons of reality show is unheard of. It's it's really
- 31:04Speaker 2: means that your group of friends, the vander Pump Rules group,
- 31:09Speaker 2: that you guys are really special in the sense that
- 31:11Speaker 2: like people are really entertained by you guys, and you guys,
- 31:16Speaker 2: you know, have a lot of fun together. And I
- 31:17Speaker 2: don't think people realize, at least from now. I've been
- 31:21Speaker 2: on the front lines a little bit more. Obviously this
- 31:23Speaker 2: season I filmed probably more than.
- 31:27Speaker 1: It's funny because Randall says that when he is filming
- 31:30Speaker 1: with us, he'll forget and look around at everything that's
- 31:34Speaker 1: happening and he's like, holy shit, I forgot. I felt
- 31:37Speaker 1: like I was watching the show because the.
- 31:39Speaker 2: Ship that goes on, I'm like, I'm not used to
- 31:42Speaker 2: any of this, and I'm sitting there and I sometimes
- 31:44Speaker 2: just check out and I'm like watching all the shit.
- 31:46Speaker 1: Happen like crazy that people think it's not real. And
- 31:50Speaker 1: that's the thing is it is really real. It's just
- 31:53Speaker 1: we're that fucked up and resilient, you know.
- 31:57Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 31:57Speaker 3: No from an outsider looking in.
- 32:00Speaker 2: On the show too, Jessica Jessica's on the show.
- 32:02Speaker 3: Even just being in the presence, I would forget the
- 32:05Speaker 3: cameras were there, just because it was like, it's truly
- 32:09Speaker 3: just you guys are living life, and the cameras kind
- 32:12Speaker 3: of pop in and you're just doing your thing. And
- 32:14Speaker 3: that's how I was shocked. I'm like, oh no, this
- 32:17Speaker 3: is like, there's not a scripted bone in this.
- 32:19Speaker 2: And no, no, it's And that's the one thing that
- 32:22Speaker 2: took me, I think, because this is my second time
- 32:25Speaker 2: appearing and it's hard for me to say that, but
- 32:28Speaker 2: but but but I do get caught up the same
- 32:31Speaker 2: way you do, because it's like when you're not used
- 32:33Speaker 2: to it, like they're in it. They're in it, they're
- 32:35Speaker 2: all in in the moments, it's just their regular life.
- 32:38Speaker 2: But you know, you're sitting there and sometimes you're you know,
- 32:40Speaker 2: you're in it, but then sometimes you're just sitting there
- 32:42Speaker 2: watching what's going on, and you're like, oh my god,
- 32:45Speaker 2: like they're really this is their real life, like there
- 32:48Speaker 2: is no bullshit, and I'm excited because it's it's it's
- 32:53Speaker 2: a really unique group of people and I think you
- 32:56Speaker 2: guys are very blessed to you know, be able to
- 32:59Speaker 2: do what you do for for nine years. And I'm excited.
- 33:02Speaker 2: So on that note, I think we need to quick
- 33:03Speaker 2: break and come right back.
- 33:10Speaker 1: That was a quick break. We're back, We're back. So
- 33:18Speaker 1: Randall and I thought it would be fun for this
- 33:21Speaker 1: last segment of this episode to have it like a
- 33:25Speaker 1: little bit of a storytell. Randall and I were driving
- 33:29Speaker 1: yesterday with his two kids, Lendon and Riley, and our
- 33:33Speaker 1: baby together Ocean, and we just like started on this
- 33:37Speaker 1: like tangent of like all of these things that have
- 33:39Speaker 1: happened in our lives that are like just stories where
- 33:42Speaker 1: it's like like, oh yeah, that's like kind of a
- 33:44Speaker 1: big deal, no wonder, you're so fucked up, So.
- 33:49Speaker 2: Well, let me tell you a story, because you told
- 33:50Speaker 2: your story yesterday like it was nothing, and I was
- 33:53Speaker 2: jaw dropped, jaw dropped, and Lala does not jow Let
- 33:57Speaker 2: me just set the record for people that are fans
- 33:59Speaker 2: of Lawn, I nothing shocks me anymore because she's taken
- 34:05Speaker 2: all the shock wave out of my body, like it
- 34:07Speaker 2: took about five years. And now whatever Lala says, I
- 34:12Speaker 2: don't get that. I'm gonna let Lata tell this story
- 34:14Speaker 2: because I won't tell it as good. But Lala told
- 34:16Speaker 2: me a story Gary, yes, straight, like it was nothing
- 34:18Speaker 2: like we were just when I was a kid. I
- 34:20Speaker 2: went for ice cream and this happened, and she just
- 34:22Speaker 2: told it so nonchalant, and I had to almost pull
- 34:26Speaker 2: the car over. I was in shock. And she's like,
- 34:30Speaker 2: I guess it is kind of crazy, this story. So
- 34:31Speaker 2: why don't you just share with your fans the non
- 34:34Speaker 2: chalot story you tell me?
- 34:35Speaker 1: I wait to hear this, okay, and my son's gonna
- 34:38Speaker 1: kill me, Shena kill me.
- 34:40Speaker 2: Oh yes.
- 34:41Speaker 1: So the thing about Lisa that's my mom is she's
- 34:45Speaker 1: fucking fabulous, all right. She's little clueless, little clueless, but
- 34:49Speaker 1: that's okay. So now that I have a baby, like
- 34:54Speaker 1: everything triggers me. I'm like, if that, if I do that,
- 34:57Speaker 1: that could happen to her, that could happen to her,
- 34:58Speaker 1: And the chances of those things happening very very low,
- 35:02Speaker 1: but they could happen, so I'm telling Randall, Easton must
- 35:07Speaker 1: have been I think he was like eleven, maybe twelve.
- 35:10Speaker 1: He was young, okay, young kid. And we were going
- 35:14Speaker 1: to a family dinner downtown Salt Lake, and we play
- 35:18Speaker 1: at a restaurant, yes, PF Changs, PF Changs. And the
- 35:23Speaker 1: thing about PF Chang's is the valet has to drive
- 35:28Speaker 1: like a few blocks to a tower to park the car. Right, okay,
- 35:34Speaker 1: so my mom's driving. We all get out. Lisa deals
- 35:38Speaker 1: with the valet. We're inside, we're seated. Whatever she walks in,
- 35:42Speaker 1: hold on, but.
- 35:42Speaker 2: Just take it by a scent. So you told up
- 35:44Speaker 2: the valet, Yeah, to get out of the family.
- 35:46Speaker 1: The family, the whole family, and you get out.
- 35:48Speaker 2: Of the car and all of you walk out the car
- 35:50Speaker 2: to the restaurant, get into the restaurant.
- 35:52Speaker 1: Deals with valet, comes into the restaurants, into the restaurant
- 35:56Speaker 1: and she like, sis.
- 35:57Speaker 2: Down, are you seated? Are you at the top?
- 35:59Speaker 1: I seated, honey, We got appetizers, drink and she sits
- 36:03Speaker 1: down to partake in the yumminess and then decides to
- 36:06Speaker 1: go where's Easton? We were like, well, Easton was asleep
- 36:12Speaker 1: in the back of the car with you.
- 36:13Speaker 2: I want you to take a moment, everybody who's listening
- 36:16Speaker 2: to this and hear what is being said. You're there
- 36:18Speaker 2: in the restaurant. They've walked from the valet. They are
- 36:21Speaker 2: order appetizers and have cocktails, and they are missing a child.
- 36:26Speaker 1: My mother fucking valeted the car.
- 36:33Speaker 2: She vallets your brother with Easton in.
- 36:36Speaker 1: The very bad seat, dead asleep. Okay, he's parked like probably.
- 36:42Speaker 4: A mile or two away, you know, if you break
- 36:47Speaker 4: down the valet tower and stretch it a few miles away.
- 36:53Speaker 1: Okay. She runs out and she's like, I valeied my
- 36:57Speaker 1: kid brother, right, So they put her in the back
- 37:03Speaker 1: of a car. They drive her up to the fucking
- 37:06Speaker 1: Valley Towner. There's Easton, dead asleep, still in the parking tower,
- 37:13Speaker 1: in the fucking car.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Oh honestly, I was dying yesterday. I could not believe
- 37:19Speaker 2: this is a real story. And Lala told it like
- 37:22Speaker 2: it was just well.
- 37:23Speaker 1: I figure eleven or twelve kids nowadays are like at
- 37:25Speaker 1: the mall Torking at that age, right.
- 37:28Speaker 2: Yeah, listen, I can't comment.
- 37:31Speaker 1: Back then, though, eleven or twelve was like young, like
- 37:33Speaker 1: we were skipping to school, still didn't have a cell phone,
- 37:37Speaker 1: like riding bikes. I love your mom so much.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, she's so hilarious.
- 37:43Speaker 1: She's like I had her. She's like she's the best
- 37:47Speaker 1: mom in the world, Like she's my best friend in Easton's.
- 37:49Speaker 1: But these stories, I'm like, this is questionable. I don't
- 37:54Speaker 1: know about the question. She also and she actually got
- 37:58Speaker 1: d MS when I posted this on Tupac's birthday. So
- 38:01Speaker 1: to the Tupac CD was the first CD that my
- 38:04Speaker 1: mom ever bought for me because I wanted it. It's
- 38:06Speaker 1: said explicit content on there. I don't think she knew
- 38:09Speaker 1: what that meant, or she just didn't. I worked on
- 38:14Speaker 1: a road trip and we stop at McDonald's and I
- 38:16Speaker 1: had been listening to this Tupac CD and my Blue
- 38:18Speaker 1: Walkman the entire way and I'm We're in the line
- 38:21Speaker 1: and I'm like looking at my mom. Keep in mind,
- 38:22Speaker 1: I'm like seven, okay, okay, Yeah. I say to her,
- 38:28Speaker 1: the CD you bought me says a lot of bad words,
- 38:33Speaker 1: and I just remember her looking down and being like,
- 38:35Speaker 1: just ignore the bad words. What do you want to eat?
- 38:38Speaker 1: I was like, there's kind of a lot of them
- 38:40Speaker 1: that's gonna be hard to ignore.
- 38:42Speaker 3: I love her, though, that's she's she's an icon.
- 38:46Speaker 1: She has an icon. That's she got all these dms
- 38:49Speaker 1: that were like, you're such a shitty mom, and she
- 38:52Speaker 1: she calls me, She's like, all these people are talking
- 38:54Speaker 1: to me that I'm a bad mom. I wonder why.
- 38:55Speaker 1: I was like, it has to do post I did, Lisa.
- 39:00Speaker 2: I just want everydy to know. She's like, she is
- 39:02Speaker 2: your best friend and she's Randall.
- 39:05Speaker 1: Is that necessary a.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Pop I'm meaning a popsicleon so hold up? Okay, So
- 39:13Speaker 2: your mom is amazing, she's a great mother. She's with
- 39:16Speaker 2: you all the time. I don't know if she's gonna
- 39:20Speaker 2: think this was the best story to tell, but I
- 39:22Speaker 2: know what's great.
- 39:23Speaker 1: It's I tell you what's great. Though my mom has
- 39:28Speaker 1: not read my book, doesn't listen to my podcast, and
- 39:31Speaker 1: has never seen an episode of Vanner Pumper Roles. Still,
- 39:33Speaker 1: to this day, do you remember the last movie I
- 39:36Speaker 1: did Randall with you and Jesse Metcalf? The other day,
- 39:40Speaker 1: she's in town, right and I'm talking about it, and
- 39:42Speaker 1: she goes, oh, I still need to watch that. Like
- 39:45Speaker 1: I filmed that a year ago, maybe more like two
- 39:49Speaker 1: years ago. You still haven't seen it? What are you
- 39:51Speaker 1: talking about I had like three come outside of that.
- 39:54Speaker 2: I'm definitely telling your mother you told this story because
- 39:57Speaker 2: it's just good.
- 39:58Speaker 3: She's incredible.
- 39:59Speaker 2: She didn't, you know. Yesterday was a really fun day
- 40:02Speaker 2: because my oldest child, yes, all of a sudden, woke
- 40:08Speaker 2: up and told me she's like a surfer and I
- 40:10Speaker 2: was like, please London, Like what do you mean? And
- 40:13Speaker 2: then she shows me videos of her like shredding waves
- 40:16Speaker 2: and I was like, this is not real, like because
- 40:19Speaker 2: my seven year old is like more the active and
- 40:21Speaker 2: my eleven year old's more of the artist singer, you know,
- 40:24Speaker 2: you know actor. They're just very you know, very different
- 40:26Speaker 2: kids but similar. So anyway, I say to Laa, I'm
- 40:30Speaker 2: hire the surf coach. I'm going to take her out
- 40:32Speaker 2: to the to the beach and I want to check
- 40:34Speaker 2: this out. And I was like, let's go. We're making
- 40:36Speaker 2: a whole group effort, We're going out there. So we
- 40:38Speaker 2: drive like an hour. It's a it's a trek to
- 40:41Speaker 2: this speech where it's like beginning a sort of surf spot,
- 40:44Speaker 2: and then my eleven year old turns to me when
- 40:46Speaker 2: we get to the beach and she's like, Dad, you're
- 40:47Speaker 2: gonna go with me? And I was like, yo, yeah, yeah,
- 40:49Speaker 2: I'm fifty. You look hot, Okay, but I'm fifty and fifty.
- 40:54Speaker 2: I mean, but I float more than I surf. You
- 40:56Speaker 2: know what I'm saying. I like, these dudes out there
- 41:01Speaker 2: are shredded. Okay. I'm like, I'm the booie. You know
- 41:04Speaker 2: what I'm saying, Like, like, you come over to me.
- 41:06Speaker 2: If you're drowned, you gotta look hool in front of
- 41:10Speaker 2: your kids. So of course I'm an She knows I
- 41:13Speaker 2: can water skin. I'm big in the water stuff and
- 41:15Speaker 2: behind boats. But surfing means you have to propel yourself
- 41:18Speaker 2: up on a board, being I have to break my
- 41:20Speaker 2: weight above the water. Very not easy. So I'm not
- 41:24Speaker 2: happy about any of this. But of course I look
- 41:26Speaker 2: at her. And by the way, I'm grow up Florida,
- 41:28Speaker 2: where the water is eighty three degrees. Here it's like
- 41:31Speaker 2: sixty yeah cold, yeah, Pacific Ocean sharks. I'm just especially
- 41:36Speaker 2: Booye's it's like a lot of meats, you know, all right,
- 41:42Speaker 2: I got the point off. So you're out there, and
- 41:45Speaker 2: le I was like, yeah, go get him, and so
- 41:47Speaker 2: I put the wet suit on and the guy gives
- 41:48Speaker 2: us a little class on the board, and you know,
- 41:52Speaker 2: he's like you and my favorite part is like you're
- 41:54Speaker 2: laying on the board on the sand, and he goes
- 41:55Speaker 2: and then I'm going to count the three. You're just
- 41:57Speaker 2: gonna pop up. So I would like a guy that pops.
- 42:00Speaker 2: I mean, I can roll up like a roll up,
- 42:03Speaker 2: but I'm gonna pop up. What the fuck are you
- 42:05Speaker 2: talking about? I can barely get out of bed pop up,
- 42:08Speaker 2: so anyway, So yeah, he tells me, don't worry you.
- 42:11Speaker 2: He get on your knees first and then rise. I'm like, okay,
- 42:14Speaker 2: that sounds more of my speed. So we get our boards.
- 42:17Speaker 2: They're like ten feet tall, like these long parts. Okay,
- 42:20Speaker 2: my arm's already hurting carrying the ship from the sand
- 42:23Speaker 2: to the ocean, I'm already pissed. And Lala is over
- 42:26Speaker 2: there having a beach day and frigging. Riley's like Edges,
- 42:29Speaker 2: living her best life and whatever. So we get out
- 42:31Speaker 2: to the water and I'm just there to support, you know, London.
- 42:35Speaker 2: And we get out there and the first wave London gets,
- 42:37Speaker 2: she pops up and she serfs it all the way
- 42:39Speaker 2: to the beach. I'm like, oh my god, that was
- 42:41Speaker 2: so cool. And then she serves like six or seven
- 42:43Speaker 2: after that, and I think that I'm ever gonna I'm
- 42:45Speaker 2: just laying on the board like sun tanning. And then
- 42:50Speaker 2: you know, and then you know, good looking you know,
- 42:52Speaker 2: young kid whatever his name was, good looking young kids like,
- 42:55Speaker 2: all right, you're time turning pops you know whatever he pops,
- 42:59Speaker 2: But that's what he meant. He's like, he's like, all right, boy,
- 43:02Speaker 2: let's get up on the board. So I was like,
- 43:05Speaker 2: all right, Booey's turn. And I'm pissed because now I like,
- 43:08Speaker 2: my kid knows I can water ski like a rockstigger.
- 43:10Speaker 2: That did it. It's not a kid, but like, you
- 43:12Speaker 2: want to look cool in front of your kid. So
- 43:14Speaker 2: I'm just like, this is not where I want to
- 43:16Speaker 2: be right now in this moment. So so I'm laying
- 43:18Speaker 2: on the board. He's like, don't worry. I'm going to
- 43:20Speaker 2: push you into the wave. I'm going to push you
- 43:22Speaker 2: right into the wave. And I was like, great, and
- 43:24Speaker 2: I see this wave coming and it looks big. It's
- 43:26Speaker 2: way bigger than what I anticipated. I actually told him,
- 43:29Speaker 2: can you give me a little baby wave? And that
- 43:30Speaker 2: is a good one for you, meaning I needed the
- 43:33Speaker 2: bigger wave because of my weight. That's right, meant to say.
- 43:36Speaker 2: He didn't want to say it to me. And I
- 43:38Speaker 2: looked at him and I could tell in his eyes
- 43:39Speaker 2: like he was like, he's like, he's like, he's like,
- 43:43Speaker 2: you're a little bigger. You can't get the little baby
- 43:46Speaker 2: wave because you're not go A wave comes and believe
- 43:50Speaker 2: it or not, I got up on my knees and
- 43:52Speaker 2: I was shredding on my knees. Now, the people that
- 43:57Speaker 2: get up on surfboards in this area, they were getting
- 44:00Speaker 2: up the minute the wave came. I took a little longer.
- 44:03Speaker 2: Mine was. I was like in a meeting on my
- 44:05Speaker 2: knees for a few minutes that but but then I
- 44:09Speaker 2: took the gamble and I stood up and Lala, how
- 44:12Speaker 2: did I look? I caught waves yesterday?
- 44:15Speaker 1: I missed it?
- 44:16Speaker 2: What I missed? All of them? You lie?
- 44:20Speaker 3: You lie? When he asked, he said, you looked amazing.
- 44:23Speaker 1: Oh, we do.
- 44:24Speaker 2: And by the way, did you see me catch the waves?
- 44:27Speaker 2: I did? Were you impressed?
- 44:29Speaker 1: You looked amazing.
- 44:30Speaker 2: I'm just going to say something. This is the moral
- 44:33Speaker 2: of the story. I'm fifty years old, I am definitely
- 44:37Speaker 2: not a surf body by any means. But you know what,
- 44:41Speaker 2: you're never told to start. And I had the best
- 44:43Speaker 2: time yesterday. I swear, I swear to you.
- 44:45Speaker 1: I had the Saturday. It was awesome.
- 44:47Speaker 2: But I had the best time because I was in
- 44:49Speaker 2: the water with my kids doing an activity that I
- 44:52Speaker 2: thought I would never do.
- 44:53Speaker 1: I was not texting or facetiming their friends. Usually Randall
- 44:57Speaker 1: sits in the room while they text in FaceTime.
- 45:00Speaker 2: And the thing is, I was so impressed that I
- 45:02Speaker 2: that I pushed myself to do something that I never
- 45:04Speaker 2: thought I could do.
- 45:05Speaker 1: I was impressed by all of you yesterday, by the way.
- 45:07Speaker 2: And here's the best part of it all the highlight,
- 45:08Speaker 2: the icing on the cake. Riley, who never wanted to
- 45:12Speaker 2: serve zero interest zero, said, Dad, can I put my
- 45:15Speaker 2: wetsuit on and come out with you? I put her
- 45:18Speaker 2: on the board, We got her out. I surfed with
- 45:21Speaker 2: her on the same board. I popped up. Yeah, it
- 45:23Speaker 2: was really cute, and we surfed together. And now she
- 45:26Speaker 2: loves it. And now she loves it. They both love it.
- 45:28Speaker 2: So we're gonna go do it for like a week now,
- 45:30Speaker 2: Like they're like really into it, and I'm gonna try something.
- 45:33Speaker 1: That the parents these days have to do, like not surfing,
- 45:37Speaker 1: but just a camp because there's so much technology that
- 45:42Speaker 1: it's almost annoying. It's like, why do these children have
- 45:47Speaker 1: cell phones? Why does this seven year old know how
- 45:51Speaker 1: to zoom better than I do? Well because of the pandemic,
- 45:55Speaker 1: never mind, they should know how to zoom better than
- 45:56Speaker 1: I do. But I love that you guys did that
- 45:59Speaker 1: yesterday and now London wants to do surf camp every year.
- 46:02Speaker 2: Yeah. And by the way, and my kids, that's that's
- 46:04Speaker 2: a big thing about if you have kids. You know,
- 46:06Speaker 2: I went to Sleep with Camp my whole life as
- 46:08Speaker 2: a child. I loved it. And I and my kids
- 46:10Speaker 2: go to the same one that I went to, Camp Highlander.
- 46:12Speaker 2: Then they just came back from a month and they
- 46:15Speaker 2: both were in tears when I picked them up and
- 46:16Speaker 2: want to stay another two weeks. So camp is, in
- 46:20Speaker 2: my opinion, a magical thing, and it allows kids to
- 46:22Speaker 2: really just be kids with other kids, and it's just
- 46:25Speaker 2: really cool and you take all the electronics out of
- 46:27Speaker 2: it and just being you know, creative and active and yeah.
- 46:31Speaker 2: So you know, especially in Los Angeles where you know
- 46:34Speaker 2: it's just a you know.
- 46:35Speaker 1: It's a different it is a different.
- 46:37Speaker 2: Different thing, and I think you know. I love that
- 46:39Speaker 2: they go to the Blue Ridge Mountains in North Carolina,
- 46:42Speaker 2: just like I did, same camp, and they they love
- 46:44Speaker 2: it and I loved it. And even when I go there,
- 46:46Speaker 2: I'm like, can I teach an activity here? Can I say?
- 46:49Speaker 2: Can I have a job.
- 46:51Speaker 1: So much that during the pandemic he rented the camp
- 46:54Speaker 1: out for just our family and made us do activities,
- 46:57Speaker 1: which was amazing. I loved it. I loved it so much,
- 47:02Speaker 1: mostly because that's where I found out that I was
- 47:05Speaker 1: pregnant with Oh I know, I know, and that and
- 47:10Speaker 1: then Ocean.
- 47:11Speaker 2: One day when she's old.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Enough, we're not talking about it. I can't even go there.
- 47:15Speaker 2: By the way, the last time, I'm going to finish
- 47:17Speaker 2: that I love about law that people don't realize how
- 47:19Speaker 2: and love, you know. I mean, every mother I have
- 47:22Speaker 2: to assume is in love with their child, So I
- 47:23Speaker 2: give all mothers that. But Lala is so in love
- 47:26Speaker 2: with Ocean every second, every minute of the day that
- 47:29Speaker 2: if you mention anything about the future, anything, no, it's
- 47:33Speaker 2: a full either full meltdown in tears, or you get
- 47:37Speaker 2: shut down, like I just get shut down. Just now
- 47:40Speaker 2: we're allowed to talk about what she's doing right now.
- 47:43Speaker 2: Which is rolling over on her.
- 47:45Speaker 1: I can't even talk about it's already over. I can't
- 47:47Speaker 1: even deal. But I think, and I don't know if
- 47:50Speaker 1: anybody else had this, if they ever lost a parent,
- 47:53Speaker 1: But when I lost my dad, I realized, oh my god,
- 47:56Speaker 1: there was this one moment back in the day that
- 48:00Speaker 1: we were Rand got us a limo and it was me,
- 48:03Speaker 1: my mom, Easton, and my dad and we're driving up
- 48:06Speaker 1: to Park City and who even gets a limo anymore?
- 48:09Speaker 2: Right?
- 48:09Speaker 1: The things literally starts steaming. We're broken down on the
- 48:13Speaker 1: side of the road and me, I'm very high strung,
- 48:16Speaker 1: so when things don't when the wind blows in the
- 48:18Speaker 1: wrong direction, I'm thrown off by it. And it takes
- 48:21Speaker 1: me a while to try and process it. In this moment,
- 48:25Speaker 1: it was so weird because I looked at like my
- 48:27Speaker 1: dad and my mom and I was like, this moment
- 48:29Speaker 1: is never going to come back. You need to remember it.
- 48:32Speaker 1: And it was literally, I think maybe a year or
- 48:35Speaker 1: two later that we lost my dad, and I still
- 48:37Speaker 1: look back and think, I'm so glad that in that moment,
- 48:40Speaker 1: I was like, cherish this, Yes, it's never going to
- 48:44Speaker 1: come back. And I still think back on that and go,
- 48:48Speaker 1: oh my gosh, like you actively told yourself, and I
- 48:52Speaker 1: remember that so vividly. Yes, So now since my dad's
- 48:57Speaker 1: passed away, and once that happened, I get very funny
- 48:59Speaker 1: with time. I'm little tiny things like ocean grabbing my finger.
- 49:03Speaker 2: It's like when when will her hands where she's grabbing
- 49:06Speaker 2: her hand and not your.
- 49:07Speaker 1: Finger, right, Like I look at pictures of her when
- 49:09Speaker 1: she was teeny tiny, like her her head in the
- 49:13Speaker 1: palm of my hand, and now she's like a baby.
- 49:17Speaker 1: So I'm very triggered when I think of things like that.
- 49:20Speaker 2: That makes sense. But that makes sense because you had
- 49:22Speaker 2: obviously traumatic loss at a very young age, right, and
- 49:25Speaker 2: it's not normal for you know, children to lose their parent.
- 49:29Speaker 1: At twenty seven.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Is that that's you know, unfathomable, And so that makes sense.
- 49:35Speaker 2: I guess you know now I understand more like that
- 49:38Speaker 2: you're holding on to brushious throes because you realize more
- 49:41Speaker 2: than most people that you know they can go.
- 49:43Speaker 1: It's not coming back right.
- 49:44Speaker 2: Right, You can't get you, so you want to take
- 49:46Speaker 2: it off. And I will say, you were reading from
- 49:49Speaker 2: your journal to me last night and you had something
- 49:52Speaker 2: that I was like, oh my god, really, time is moving,
- 49:56Speaker 2: even though it feels slow some days, Right, it's it's
- 49:59Speaker 2: moving so fat and you can't stop it. Well, it
- 50:01Speaker 2: never stopped me.
- 50:02Speaker 1: I started a journal for Ocean when I was twenty
- 50:05Speaker 1: eight weeks pregnant, and I looked back onto that time
- 50:08Speaker 1: and Randall had told me, because I was very hormonially depressing,
- 50:11Speaker 1: he said, you should start journaling for Ocean so that
- 50:13Speaker 1: one day she can read back and know what you
- 50:15Speaker 1: were doing when you were pregnant with her. I'm like, here,
- 50:19Speaker 1: I am at this journal entry and she's born a
- 50:21Speaker 1: half months, and I feel like I just wrote this
- 50:24Speaker 1: at twenty eight weeks talking about like what I did
- 50:28Speaker 1: that day. We were still right in the pandemic. We
- 50:30Speaker 1: couldn't go to restaurants. I'm like, that feels like years ago,
- 50:33Speaker 1: and this was yes Oh my god, it was yesterday,
- 50:37Speaker 1: and it's gone.
- 50:38Speaker 2: I mean we could, I mean there was nowhere to
- 50:39Speaker 2: go in California, where it's like a lot of places
- 50:42Speaker 2: open up. As you know, Florida and Texas and Georgia
- 50:44Speaker 2: a lot of places opened up. California was the last,
- 50:47Speaker 2: so like we really were on lockdown. So it feels
- 50:50Speaker 2: like a long time ago, but it was yesterday and
- 50:52Speaker 2: it was just minutes ago.
- 50:53Speaker 1: Are you thankful for that time though? Like you got.
- 50:57Speaker 3: Because you you had Ocean and then I mean you
- 51:00Speaker 3: couldn't really stop.
- 51:02Speaker 2: Do any well.
- 51:04Speaker 1: How short after you had Ocean?
- 51:06Speaker 3: Was it when vander pumper wle started? Because didn't you
- 51:07Speaker 3: get some extended time to just like be with your baby?
- 51:10Speaker 1: And No, I got two months. I was really no.
- 51:15Speaker 1: I was very lucky and fortunately got a real champion
- 51:20Speaker 1: weeks two weeks, Oh wow. And she Anda's baby couldn't
- 51:24Speaker 1: film because you have to be I think six weeks
- 51:29Speaker 1: or fifteen days. You have to be fifteen days. So
- 51:32Speaker 1: she wasn't Her baby wasn't even two weeks old when
- 51:34Speaker 1: we went back to filming.
- 51:35Speaker 3: Oh wow.
- 51:36Speaker 1: So she is a real champer here. Her baby fed
- 51:39Speaker 1: after she hit the fifteen day. But I mean, I
- 51:43Speaker 1: can't even imagine. At least I got two months to
- 51:46Speaker 1: like literally do nothing but stare at Ocean. Yeah.
- 51:49Speaker 2: Yeah, Well, I think it's been a fun episode, and
- 51:52Speaker 2: we've introduced Jessica.
- 51:54Speaker 3: It's nice to meet you guys.
- 51:57Speaker 1: Can I tell you something, Jessica is the best thing
- 51:59Speaker 1: that's happened to me since Randal and Ocean.
- 52:02Speaker 3: Oh my god.
- 52:03Speaker 1: Wow yeah for real?
- 52:05Speaker 2: Wow wow?
- 52:06Speaker 1: Like what even is an email?
- 52:08Speaker 2: I don't know?
- 52:08Speaker 1: Jessica checks them? Now, what even is a calendar? I
- 52:11Speaker 1: don't know. Jessica deals with it. It's awesome.
- 52:15Speaker 5: Before we go off the air, can you just tell
- 52:17Speaker 5: people when I suggested an assistant very kindly, even after
- 52:21Speaker 5: we had hired Jessica, before she had started, how you
- 52:24Speaker 5: wanted to let go of Jessicas.
- 52:26Speaker 1: Nothing to do with No, No, No. My biggest thing
- 52:29Speaker 1: was like, is she going to be bored working for me? Like?
- 52:33Speaker 1: Do I have enough going on for me to have
- 52:35Speaker 1: an assistant? I literally was going to text you before
- 52:39Speaker 1: you started.
- 52:40Speaker 2: I know she was going to say, but I saved you, Jessica,
- 52:43Speaker 2: So let me tell you something.
- 52:44Speaker 1: Well, you saved me. It had nothing to do with you.
- 52:46Speaker 2: No, but it's a great story because I said to
- 52:48Speaker 2: Lala that night, I said, Lala sent me. You've called
- 52:51Speaker 2: me now four times. I am telling you that you
- 52:53Speaker 2: don't have a choice. You are too busy. Jessica will
- 52:56Speaker 2: show up tomorrow morning. You'll spend two weeks with her.
- 52:59Speaker 2: If you don't feel you have a reason for an assistant,
- 53:02Speaker 2: then at that point you can part ways. Yeah, but
- 53:04Speaker 2: I am telling you that you need this, And after
- 53:08Speaker 2: two days she called me and goes, I am never
- 53:10Speaker 2: getting rid of this. But she no, she didn't know
- 53:16Speaker 2: had an assistant, and she was so overwhelmed at that
- 53:19Speaker 2: point in her life she didn't know anything different. Now
- 53:21Speaker 2: her life feels she feels so like organized and happy
- 53:25Speaker 2: and calm.
- 53:26Speaker 5: Good.
- 53:27Speaker 3: Well, I was shocked after the first two days. I
- 53:29Speaker 3: think it was. I was like, how how have you
- 53:33Speaker 3: been doing this by yourself? Because me, I was working
- 53:36Speaker 3: morning till evening emails and communicating. I was like, where
- 53:39Speaker 3: was your help?
- 53:40Speaker 2: I was shocked that you went as long as you did.
- 53:43Speaker 1: It really is yeah, I know, And now Jessica's swooped
- 53:46Speaker 1: in and saved my entire life.
- 53:48Speaker 2: Real Jessica. Jessica and Anna, our other assistant, are both
- 53:54Speaker 2: coming to Bravo Kan in October, their first Bravo con
- 53:59Speaker 2: or second, because there's only been two.
- 54:01Speaker 1: I'm telling you, if you're looking to hire an assistant,
- 54:04Speaker 1: having a female is the only way to go. No
- 54:06Speaker 1: a fund, Sean, but for real to get this, get
- 54:08Speaker 1: that shit done. On that note, on the female empowerment note,
- 54:15Speaker 1: last reminder, We're going on tour. Get your tickets at
