- 11:07She's an author, y'all, and she has asperger spectrum. You know
- 11:13what you have accomplished so much for overcoming that and being an author. I
- 11:22took my glasses. I don't have a hat, so I took my glasses
- 11:24to you. She loves fashion, she loves women empowerment, She loves urban
- 11:30fiction, true time, and spending time her friends and family ask her,
- 11:35how do you put your success as an author? She said, you know
- 11:41what, I accomplished what everyone told me I would never do. So that's
- 11:45what I put your success. She said, I keep going when others tell
- 11:48me I couldn't do it. And she said, when I did it,
- 11:52I feel proud. I feel exuperated. I feel like I have won so
- 11:56many battles, and just her saying that alone, I was like, you
- 12:01know, I need to get your book. She didn't even show me the

- 15:11he welcome back, welcome back, welcome back. Here's another new author,
- 15:18missus, Sandra Nicole. Now. I know I work at a library and
- 15:24you should never judge of books by your cover, but y'all, I thought,
- 15:28Sandra Nicole, Okay, so this is gonna be some contemporary books.
- 15:33Y'all. I was so wrong. I was wrong on so many different levels.
- 15:37Her books. It is one of them books you have to put another
- 15:43book in front of them read because if you don't want nobody to see what
- 15:46you're reading, you know what I'm saying. One of those books, one
- 15:48of them the ones that make you said, okay, see God forbid me
- 15:52for what I just read, because I want to try that. Yeah.
- 15:56Sandra Nicole. She is from bedraw Akaa, Flint, Michigan. She is
- 16:02a single mama for and found writing is a way to escape reality. While
- 16:07channeling her own experience through toxic relationships and books. I asked her, I
- 16:11said, what books. Why do you enjoy reading? She said, I
- 16:18enjoy reading urban novels, romance, suspense books, or even thrillers. I
- 16:25read nonfiction to help improve my craft and as a writer and as an author.
- 16:30Now, for me, that was one of the reasons why I picked
- 16:33up her books. I truly am a sole believer that an author should be
- 16:37a reader. Now, not all readers should be authors, but they can't
- 16:42try. But if you an author, I feel that you should invest time
- 16:47in your craft and be a reader. And she is one of those.
- 16:49Her newest book is called A Man's for Valentine's Day. Okay. Author to
- 16:57Coke could be found on all social media outlets. She is on Facebook,
- 17:03she is on Instagram, she is on TikTok and her TikTok you guys,

- 17:41go see off numb miss Sandra Nicole. One of her books is called The
- 17:45Freaking Sheets. Go ahead and get that book autograph. Okay, so you're

- 18:04to four pm the Book Joint at Boxville, Chicago, Illinois, six zero
- 18:12six one five. Okay, So y'all go back, check her out,
- 18:18get your book, get an autographed and thank me later. Okay. Now
- 18:25this author holds a special place for me. Off the same Tel Smith.
- 18:30Why you may say he wrote a book about working at the library, and
- 18:37y'all know me. I've been working at the library eighteen nineteen and nineteen years,
- 18:45ninety year, nineteen years, okay, And I always say I would
- 18:49love somebody two write a book about working at the library. And mister Smith,
- 18:59that is that he's an indimenent author who's been publishing his own books of
- 19:03twenty nineteen. He lives in Detroit, but he was Bullering and raised in
- 19:08New York. His latest book is the third of the My Call Number series.
- 19:15You guys get it Call Numbers Library, I Love That, a workplace
- 19:19drama that tells the story of a group of libariants working together at a branch
- 19:25in the New York City during the nineties. I asked them, I said,
- 19:29what characters in your book are most similar to you or the people that
- 19:33you know? He said, well, to tell you the truth, this
- 19:40series is loosely based on myself at the time I was working for the New
- 19:45York Public Library System. And yes, I based the characters in my book
- 19:52on the co workers that I worked for at this time. Naturally, of
- 19:59course, their identities were cheered to protect their privacy, and I also don't
- 20:04want to get sued. Understandable. Understandable. So his latest book, which
- 20:11is called the third series and the Call Numbers, it is out. Okay,
- 20:18recommend that you read this series in order because they do build on top
- 20:23of each other. Okay. Yuys. So he could be found on Facebook,
- 20:29Twitter, Instagram, Amazon, and he has his own author website.
- 20:34It's okay, you guys. These six authors are who I am wanting to
- 20:44sink my teeth into this summer again. I love new authors, Okay,
- 20:51you. New authors have this thirst in their books. They trying to please
- 20:57nobody. They're trying to you their craft, and they're bringing their gay games
- 21:03strong. I kind of prefer brand new authors or new authors. I want
- 21:07to say brand new, because old book is always new to somebody. I
- 21:11kind of prefer those authors over to mainstream authors a lot. Sometimes I feel
- 21:17that mainstream authors are now catering to their buying audience, so they put theirselfs
- 21:23in this circle and they can't go anywhere else. Because they do go somewhere
- 21:29else, they're going to lose their core group. But as for me,
- 21:33I love those authors that are outside of the box. Does not worry about
- 21:38their core group because there are there. They're just trying to retreaders. That's
- 21:44my favorite. So that's my favorite author. But I got some podcasts I
- 21:51want to tell you guys about. Okay, so y'all know that I am
- 21:55a part of the Crew podcast. Okay, but guess what, I got
- 22:00other friends out of here too, So I'm gonna bring up a calendar that's
