- 0:21Speaker 1: You're listening to Eagles postgame analysis here at the Philadelphia
- 0:24Speaker 1: Sports Table podcast show, the longest running weekly Philly sports
- 0:27Speaker 1: podcast show in the world, over eleven and a half
- 0:29Speaker 1: years strong. The Philadelphia Eagles, you're in week thirteen of
- 0:33Speaker 1: this twenty twenty four twenty twenty five season, beat the
- 0:37Speaker 1: Baltimore Ravens. Yes, they beat the Baltimore Ravens down at
- 0:40Speaker 1: M and T Banks Stadium in Baltimore by a score
- 0:43Speaker 1: of twenty four to nineteen. A fantastic game. We learned
- 0:48Speaker 1: a lot about this team. I think we learned a
- 0:50Speaker 1: lot about who they were, the character of this Philadelphia
- 0:53Speaker 1: Eagles team.
- 0:54Speaker 2: We're gonna be.
- 0:54Speaker 1: Getting into this game, dissecting it, giving our themes and
- 0:58Speaker 1: then our grades by unit, and also grading the coaching.
- 1:01Speaker 1: I'm Jeff Warren. I'm here, my good buddy from the
- 1:04Speaker 1: Honorable Mention podcast. I listened on Apple Podcasts. Subscribe on
- 1:09Speaker 1: whatever podcast platform you're on. You can also find the
- 1:11Speaker 1: Honorable Mentioned podcast on YouTube. We got my buddy, the
- 1:15Speaker 1: one and only Matt Rogers. Hey doing, Matt doing well?
- 1:19Speaker 2: You know the hell of a game? Yes, hell of
- 1:24Speaker 2: a game? I really you know.
- 1:27Speaker 3: I texted you before the game, and I was thinking about,
- 1:30Speaker 3: you know, who's gonna step up as far as it
- 1:32Speaker 3: passed rushers.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Zach Bond absolutely showed up.
- 1:38Speaker 3: I know we're going to get into it early, but
- 1:39Speaker 3: right off the top, I mean, and I was, and
- 1:42Speaker 3: I was skeptical. I couldn't believe, you know, I didn't
- 1:45Speaker 3: believe that that Zach Bond was going to be a superstar.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I guess superstar is a bit. But he's playing really
- 1:52Speaker 3: damn well. And not only is he is he you know,
- 1:55Speaker 3: filling in on the run today, stepping up to put
- 1:59Speaker 3: pressure on the quarterback.
- 2:01Speaker 2: I mean, that guy is just on another level right now.
- 2:03Speaker 1: He is. He's definitely one of the standouts in this game.
- 2:06Speaker 1: But Matt, one of the first themes I wanted to
- 2:08Speaker 1: get into with you, and it was mentioned on the
- 2:11Speaker 1: broadcast toward the end of the game in the fourth quarter.
- 2:13Speaker 1: But I think it's really important for us to get
- 2:15Speaker 1: into it. It's the fact that, yes, this is the
- 2:16Speaker 1: Eagles eighth win in a row, but we learned a
- 2:20Speaker 1: lot about this team, I think because they were not
- 2:23Speaker 1: only on the road, but they're playing the Baltimore Ravens,
- 2:26Speaker 1: a prolific offense, a very good defense, a decent defense,
- 2:30Speaker 1: I should say, but an offense where Lamar Jackson just
- 2:33Speaker 1: at the top of his game over these past few weeks.
- 2:36Speaker 1: And like I said, they said on the broadcast, this
- 2:38Speaker 1: is a team that on this win streak has beat
- 2:41Speaker 1: the Cleveland Browns, the New York Giants, the Bengals, the Jaguars,
- 2:46Speaker 1: the Cowboys, and you think to yourself, Okay, these are
- 2:49Speaker 1: relatively quote easy teams to possibly beat. But then again,
- 2:54Speaker 1: it is the NFL. We've talked about a number of times.
- 2:56Speaker 1: You know, you play to win the game, as Herm
- 2:59Speaker 1: Edwards One's famous he said, and they've been winning games
- 3:01Speaker 1: that they should be winning. However, coming into this game,
- 3:05Speaker 1: I was really concerned because the Baltimore Ravens are a
- 3:07Speaker 1: very good football team, and this Eagles team on the
- 3:10Speaker 1: road was able to show up in a big time way,
- 3:14Speaker 1: especially on defense, proving to the world that they are
- 3:17Speaker 1: the number one defense in the NFL. Going up against
- 3:21Speaker 1: Lamar Jackson and going up against Derrick Henry as well,
- 3:25Speaker 1: this team matters. Forteners. Yes, don't be fooled, listeners.
- 3:30Speaker 3: By the nineteen that was a twelve that you saw,
- 3:33Speaker 3: and you saw the Ravens trying to pile it on
- 3:35Speaker 3: in garbage time, try to try to make it look
- 3:38Speaker 3: better so they don't.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Get cooked and out.
- 3:40Speaker 3: And I and I got some for for some of
- 3:42Speaker 3: y'all's players throughout the rest of this show. This defense, though,
- 3:46Speaker 3: is for real, for real, it's it's it's it's hard
- 3:51Speaker 3: to believe.
- 3:51Speaker 2: But this is the best I wrote it down.
- 3:54Speaker 3: You know, this is the best linebacker play I've seen,
- 3:57Speaker 3: not just for one guy, but the Eagle linebacking core.
- 4:01Speaker 2: This is the best I've seen in twenty years.
- 4:03Speaker 1: Absolutely absolutely, And I'm getting to the point too where
- 4:06Speaker 1: when we have these very frustrating slow starts another theme
- 4:10Speaker 1: of mine here we got we gotta just be patient
- 4:13Speaker 1: for everything to start kicking in here again, my god,
- 4:17Speaker 1: the slow start, it was absolutely enraging. And what else
- 4:19Speaker 1: was in raging two was the Eagles were penalized six
- 4:22Speaker 1: times in the first quarter. I mean this, This Eagles
- 4:26Speaker 1: team should just pretend that the that the second quarter
- 4:29Speaker 1: is actually like the first quarter. The next time they play.
- 4:32Speaker 1: They should just try. There's a lot of feeling.
- 4:34Speaker 2: I'm out.
- 4:34Speaker 1: Yes, it's a.
- 4:35Speaker 2: Lot of Floyd.
- 4:36Speaker 3: This team is very Floyd Mayweather, but has the knockout punch. Yeah,
- 4:40Speaker 3: there's a lot of feeling out in the early three
- 4:43Speaker 3: four rounds of a fight. You're not gonna see the
- 4:47Speaker 3: Eagles really, you know, take any risks they feel like
- 4:51Speaker 3: that's the deep ball.
- 4:52Speaker 1: Yeah, really quick on that point. Do you think that's
- 4:55Speaker 1: why the first drive of the game we saw the
- 4:57Speaker 1: sequences that we did. Saquan gets twelve yards right off
- 5:01Speaker 1: the bat, and then the next three plays go to
- 5:03Speaker 1: Paris Campbell, Will Shipley and Britain Covey like, do you like,
- 5:07Speaker 1: do you think that's what they're trying to feel out?
- 5:10Speaker 1: What the Ravens defense is gonna do?
- 5:11Speaker 2: There? Is that what you think they're They're poking in.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Proden and I'm trying to to try to create, you know, move,
- 5:17Speaker 3: move a Jenga piece here, Oh make the next time
- 5:21Speaker 3: I'll put I'll act like I'm, you know, trying to
- 5:23Speaker 3: wiggle this one loose. But let the other guy pull
- 5:26Speaker 3: that Jenga piece and mess themselves up. I think that
- 5:28Speaker 3: that's what they're kind of trying to do, and I
- 5:30Speaker 3: think that unfortunately for us, in our stress levels, it
- 5:35Speaker 3: has worked out. Kellen and Sirianni get to, hey, this
- 5:39Speaker 3: is our formula. I mean pretty much every week. I
- 5:42Speaker 3: was talking to my wife, I said, basically, you get
- 5:45Speaker 3: a slow start, you get the Eagles going into halftime
- 5:48Speaker 3: way too close. You got the Eagles coming out in
- 5:51Speaker 3: the second half, the defense is locking down, and then
- 5:54Speaker 3: by the time the fourth quarter gets here, Saquan's gonna
- 5:56Speaker 3: hit his head off the goalpost. You're gonna your anxiety
- 5:59Speaker 3: levels will start to crash. Yes, yes, absolutely, you feel
- 6:03Speaker 3: like you're watching your team be the best team in football.
- 6:06Speaker 2: I mean this is the story every week. And now
- 6:09Speaker 2: a theme.
- 6:10Speaker 3: To your point is it's not just against the bad teams,
- 6:13Speaker 3: it's it's it's what the Eagles formula has has created here.
- 6:17Speaker 1: Two road wins too. By the way, playing out in
- 6:19Speaker 1: LA against the Rams wasn't anything to sneeze about either.
- 6:23Speaker 1: But I think it's also important to look at, you know,
- 6:25Speaker 1: as you as you're coming into this game, and the
- 6:29Speaker 1: biggest storyline was running back versus running backs, Saquon Barkley
- 6:33Speaker 1: versus Derrick Henry. Saquon Barkley averaging six point two yards
- 6:37Speaker 1: per carry coming into this game, Derek Henry averaging six
- 6:41Speaker 1: yards per carry coming into this game. Saquon Barkley average
- 6:45Speaker 1: four point seven yards in this game per carry, and
- 6:49Speaker 1: Derek Henry average four point three yards per carry. So
- 6:53Speaker 1: you want to talk about two defenses honing in on
- 6:56Speaker 1: these two players throughout the game has the edge, of course,
- 7:02Speaker 1: at the end of the day, twenty three carries for
- 7:04Speaker 1: one hundred and seven yards, again four point seven yards
- 7:08Speaker 1: per carry, and a touchdown and a low his longest
- 7:12Speaker 1: run being twenty five yards. Derrick Henry nineteen yards. I'm sorry,
- 7:16Speaker 1: nineteen carries for eighty two yards and again four point
- 7:19Speaker 1: three yards per carry. I think we know at the
- 7:23Speaker 1: end of the day if they were given out the
- 7:24Speaker 1: MVP award after this game here, after week thirteen year,
- 7:27Speaker 1: Matt MVP of this league at this point, Saquon Barkley.
- 7:32Speaker 2: It's gotta be or Josh Allen. I can.
- 7:34Speaker 3: I can if someone says that, I have to, you know,
- 7:38Speaker 3: even if it's they're saying it's I don't believe it's
- 7:40Speaker 3: a quarterback award, but Josh Allen's contributions, I can.
- 7:43Speaker 2: I can hear that. I'm not hearing Lamar Jackson anymore.
- 7:46Speaker 3: Yeah, And I also want to say, Derrick Henry, you're
- 7:50Speaker 3: you're MVP, not only MVP, but Pro Bowl consideration that
- 7:54Speaker 3: man is out there looking slow and old and tired
- 7:59Speaker 3: and out as I was seeing that in the first quarter, Yes,
- 8:03Speaker 3: he was looking slow. I mean he does not possess
- 8:06Speaker 3: Derrick Henry in all respect with Fangio and Zach Bond.
- 8:10Speaker 3: I don't want to take I don't want to you know,
- 8:12Speaker 3: kind of you know, temper the praise that I'm gonna
- 8:16Speaker 3: give you all. But with all that said, what I
- 8:19Speaker 3: will get into later, Derrick Henry does not possess the
- 8:23Speaker 3: ability anymore to turn any run into a play that's
- 8:26Speaker 3: gonna turn into a touchdown.
- 8:27Speaker 2: I think it's fair.
- 8:28Speaker 3: Even if he breaks away, he's gonna break away for
- 8:30Speaker 3: thirty or forty. He he is a slow, old bruiser back.
- 8:35Speaker 2: And that's uh. I think.
- 8:37Speaker 3: I think, I think, not only is this going to
- 8:39Speaker 3: be a tough night for the Ravens if I'm walking
- 8:43Speaker 3: away from this game. Zay Flowers body language horrible, Yeah,
- 8:48Speaker 3: at multiple junctures. Yeah, that's there's some frustration there. And Lamar,
- 8:53Speaker 3: they're on a bit of a skid. I mean, it's tough.
- 8:57Speaker 2: It is.
- 8:57Speaker 1: They're definitely on a bit of a skid here. You
- 8:59Speaker 1: mentioned Zay Flowers seven targets on the day. He came
- 9:02Speaker 1: down with three receptions for seventy four yards. I mean
- 9:05Speaker 1: big time numbers there, averaging twenty seven or I'm sorry,
- 9:08Speaker 1: twenty four point seven yards per reception, but again, seven targets.
- 9:13Speaker 1: He came down with three balls. This Eagle secondary came
- 9:17Speaker 1: to play Vic Fangio doing an amazing job with getting
- 9:22Speaker 1: these guys into a position to be able to take
- 9:25Speaker 1: on Zay Flowers. Mark Andrews did have a pretty good game.
- 9:28Speaker 1: He was targeted seven times, came down with six balls
- 9:31Speaker 1: for sixty seven yards and a touchdown. Mark Andrews had
- 9:34Speaker 1: a pretty good game. He was basically the only one
- 9:36Speaker 1: that did. Honestly, and outside of like Lamar Jackson, I
- 9:39Speaker 1: think Lamar Jackson had a pretty good game. I really do.
- 9:42Speaker 1: At the end of the day, a lot of garbage
- 9:45Speaker 1: time passing yards for him. But overall, I mean seventy
- 9:49Speaker 1: nine yards rushing on the day from Lamar, I think
- 9:52Speaker 1: that's not too too shabby. Well, I mean, given the
- 9:55Speaker 1: fact that thirty nine of those yards came in the
- 9:58Speaker 1: fourth quarter and there was like fifteen seconds left in
- 10:02Speaker 1: the game, but.
- 10:02Speaker 3: Still there was no chance they were going to score
- 10:04Speaker 3: twelve points in a minute.
- 10:06Speaker 1: Exactly exactly. It was just a knockdown, drag out type
- 10:09Speaker 1: of game. And I love to see this hard nosed
- 10:12Speaker 1: type of football that was played by both of these teams.
- 10:15Speaker 1: But at the end of the day, the Eagles defense
- 10:18Speaker 1: just absolutely so dominant. And this is what you want
- 10:21Speaker 1: heading into the playoffs, Matt. This is the type of
- 10:24Speaker 1: play that you want heading into the playoffs, this dominant
- 10:28Speaker 1: defensive force that wins playoff games.
- 10:32Speaker 2: Absolutely.
- 10:33Speaker 1: Yeah, all right, I'm trying to like think of like
- 10:36Speaker 1: some other themes like because like again, it was such
- 10:39Speaker 1: a defensive style to this game here, the receiving corps
- 10:45Speaker 1: wasn't necessarily one of the most important aspects of this game.
- 10:49Speaker 1: I mean, of course, you had Dallas Goddard with the
- 10:52Speaker 1: one touchdown reception. He was only targeted four times. It
- 10:55Speaker 1: came down with three balls for thirty five yards. In
- 10:57Speaker 1: this game, AJ Brown was targeted six times, came down
- 10:59Speaker 1: with five balls for sixty six yards. It wasn't the
- 11:02Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts to AJ Brown type of now show that
- 11:07Speaker 1: I thought we might see. But it begs a question
- 11:11Speaker 1: when DeVante Smith is not in this lineup, when he
- 11:14Speaker 1: is not on the field, it seems like the passing
- 11:17Speaker 1: game really does suffer, and that Aj Brown in terms
- 11:21Speaker 1: of his game, ends up suffering a.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Little bit too.
- 11:23Speaker 1: I mean when they only throw the ball to John
- 11:25Speaker 1: Dotson one time and he catches it for seven yards.
- 11:28Speaker 1: But that's it. There's I remember talking. I remember talking
- 11:34Speaker 1: to a few folks before this season started, and I said,
- 11:36Speaker 1: if AJ goes out for an extended period of time
- 11:38Speaker 1: or Davante goes out for an extended period of time,
- 11:40Speaker 1: and we've seen it now, well, I mean Davonte Smith
- 11:42Speaker 1: being out two games already this season. AJ was out
- 11:45Speaker 1: what three games earlier this season, and we saw the
- 11:48Speaker 1: ill effects of this, and it is a bit of
- 11:51Speaker 1: a concern from an offensive standpoint. Than goodness, you have
- 11:54Speaker 1: sa kuon Barkley, but I think not having Davonte Smith
- 11:57Speaker 1: in this lineup here really affects up passing game.
- 12:00Speaker 2: Matt, I agree with that.
- 12:03Speaker 3: I don't want to tell too much about what I'm
- 12:05Speaker 3: thinking about my grades, but to answer that, I will
- 12:09Speaker 3: say that the Eagles pass blocking I won't say it
- 12:13Speaker 3: it was piss.
- 12:14Speaker 2: Poor today, but it was okay.
- 12:17Speaker 1: It was okay. It wasn't real.
- 12:21Speaker 3: There were opportunities where I saw Jalen loading up as
- 12:25Speaker 3: if he was about to hit somebody who he believed
- 12:27Speaker 3: to be open and just.
- 12:29Speaker 2: Tucked it or took a sack.
- 12:32Speaker 3: The Ravens front, Ravens defensive front really got pressure on
- 12:36Speaker 3: Jalen Hurts today.
- 12:38Speaker 2: Uh, the it is there.
- 12:41Speaker 3: There there is reason for for fear of when like
- 12:46Speaker 3: who is the Eagles number two receiver?
- 12:48Speaker 2: Is it Dallas Goddard? Is it? Is it Johan Dotson?
- 12:51Speaker 3: I mean, they just don't seem to really trust Johan Dotson,
- 12:55Speaker 3: so that is worthy of discussion. Absolutely, I would say
- 12:58Speaker 3: that the main culprit was the guards and our center
- 13:04Speaker 3: totally at some points getting their butts will.
- 13:07Speaker 1: Absolutely, honest, absolutely, We'll get into it during the grades.
- 13:10Speaker 1: I think it may be a lower grade for this
- 13:13Speaker 1: Eagles offensive line.
- 13:15Speaker 2: But it's interesting. This is also one of those games too.
- 13:18Speaker 1: I want to go back over to the want to
- 13:19Speaker 1: go back over the defense here, Matt. Interesting on one
- 13:22Speaker 1: of these games from a stat sheet perspective, I mean,
- 13:25Speaker 1: the stat sheet doesn't really look all that impressive defensively.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Three sacks, five tackles for a loss, four passes defended,
- 13:32Speaker 1: and six quarterback hits doesn't really seem to the naked
- 13:37Speaker 1: eye or to the eye rate here, I should say,
- 13:39Speaker 1: like it's that great of a performance.
- 13:42Speaker 2: But they were so dominant, man, they were so dominant.
- 13:44Speaker 1: They were able to disrupt Lamar Jackson in the pocket
- 13:50Speaker 1: so much throughout the game, especially in the second half
- 13:52Speaker 1: where he was thrown it at guy's feet where we
- 13:55Speaker 1: call him here worm burners, you know, the old Donovan McNabb.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly. So we saw some.
- 14:03Speaker 1: Warm burners, warm burners being thrown by Lamar Jackson and
- 14:08Speaker 1: just the disruption of the pocket, this defensive pass rush,
- 14:11Speaker 1: even not having Brandon Graham, not having Bryce Huff, you know,
- 14:16Speaker 1: not the Bryce Huff did a lot in terms of
- 14:19Speaker 1: defensive pressure leading up to him going on igh R.
- 14:22Speaker 3: He got hot before he got injured. I got it,
- 14:25Speaker 3: I got it.
- 14:26Speaker 2: He had a couple of games, a couple of nice games.
- 14:29Speaker 1: But it just goes to show the stats she does
- 14:31Speaker 1: not always reflect what is happening in the games. So
- 14:34Speaker 1: I wanted to bring that up, buddy, Do you have
- 14:36Speaker 1: any other themes here? Before we end up going to
- 14:38Speaker 1: a break and before we get to our grades, I just.
- 14:41Speaker 3: Want to just point out that somehow the Eagles basically
- 14:48Speaker 3: got the football kept from them for the entirety of
- 14:51Speaker 3: the third quarter. Yeah, and still held the Ravens. What
- 14:55Speaker 3: to we go into the half? What was this score
- 14:59Speaker 3: at the half? It was fourteen to twelve, fourteen to twelve. Yeah,
- 15:03Speaker 3: they scored, they scored seven points at the end, but
- 15:07Speaker 3: they kept the Ravens got kept getting first down at
- 15:10Speaker 3: the first down. Now, the missfield goals did come into play,
- 15:13Speaker 3: but that happens. The Eagles won a game a couple
- 15:16Speaker 3: weeks ago with the same thing happening, So that happens
- 15:18Speaker 3: in football.
- 15:20Speaker 2: But they're keeping guys out of the end zone. Yes,
- 15:23Speaker 2: that's a big deal. Yeah.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Ten years team stiff in its back when it needs to,
- 15:28Speaker 3: and this Eagles team is showing us, at least so
- 15:30Speaker 3: far that it can.
- 15:32Speaker 1: This is one of those games, those bizarre games too,
- 15:35Speaker 1: where when you look at total yards, you look at
- 15:37Speaker 1: the team stats, Baltimore three hundred and seventy two total
- 15:40Speaker 1: yards to the Eagles two hundred and fifty two. In
- 15:43Speaker 1: terms of first downs, Baltimore had twenty four to the
- 15:47Speaker 1: Eagles seventeen. Time of possession the Ravens thirty three minutes
- 15:51Speaker 1: and fifty one seconds. I think that's what you're talking
- 15:54Speaker 1: about there in the third quarter, yes to the Eagles
- 15:56Speaker 1: twenty six minutes and nine seconds. Very interesting, the fact
- 16:02Speaker 1: that the Eagles were able to come out on top
- 16:04Speaker 1: of this. And I do wonder too. And I'm not
- 16:06Speaker 1: gonna sit here and say this is luck by any
- 16:09Speaker 1: stretch of the imagination, because when you're a player in
- 16:11Speaker 1: the NFL, you have to perform to a high level.
- 16:14Speaker 1: But there is a certain Ravens player that has not
- 16:17Speaker 1: necessarily been performing and this season at the highest level
- 16:21Speaker 1: that he has performed at over the years, and that
- 16:24Speaker 1: is Justin Tucker. The fact that Justin Tucker missed two
- 16:28Speaker 1: field goals and an extra point, he missed three total
- 16:31Speaker 1: kicks today, which was a career high for him. If
- 16:35Speaker 1: he does make those kicks, really does keep the Ravens
- 16:39Speaker 1: in the game, to his sense, So you know, you
- 16:42Speaker 1: think to yourself, Wow, special teams really coming into play here.
- 16:45Speaker 1: We're certainly going to get into some special teams talk
- 16:48Speaker 1: maybe with our grades here, but I think we have
- 16:51Speaker 1: to also say that, you know, Justin Tucker missing three
- 16:55Speaker 1: total kicks in this game was that was very helpful.
- 17:00Speaker 3: It was very helpful. But but it's a mental thing
- 17:04Speaker 3: for the listeners. If you're not, you know, that much
- 17:07Speaker 3: into the football, you're just tuning in because.
- 17:09Speaker 2: You like the burr.
- 17:10Speaker 3: You you tangentially like the birds kickers. It's just a
- 17:14Speaker 3: totally mental mental thing. Sometimes it'll just.
- 17:18Speaker 2: Go on you.
- 17:19Speaker 3: You'll be you'll be sailing along and then you just
- 17:21Speaker 3: miss one and then you start over correcting you miss
- 17:24Speaker 3: the other way.
- 17:25Speaker 2: That's what you're seeing.
- 17:25Speaker 3: You see in Tucker over correcting missing wide left, Mott
- 17:29Speaker 3: wide right.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Uh.
- 17:31Speaker 3: You know, it's it's tough to watch guys go through
- 17:34Speaker 3: it because it's not about ability, right, just totally psychological.
- 17:38Speaker 1: Absolutely. We saw this with Jake Elliott a few games ago.
- 17:41Speaker 1: Remember he was a He had a little case of
- 17:43Speaker 1: the yips. He was missing some field goals. Came back though,
- 17:46Speaker 1: thank thankfully, he came back. So all right, well, Matt,
- 17:49Speaker 1: I think that's gonna do it for our themes here, right,
- 17:51Speaker 1: we want to get to the grades in a bit absolutely,
- 17:54Speaker 1: all right, folks, we're gonna take a quick break when
- 17:56Speaker 1: we get back. We're gonna go to each unit on
- 17:58Speaker 1: offense and defense, and then the coaches stick with us.
- 18:01Speaker 1: We'll be right back.
- 18:04Speaker 2: All right.
- 18:04Speaker 1: We are back and again here with our good friend
- 18:08Speaker 1: Matt Rodgers from the honorable mentioned podcast. Check out his
- 18:12Speaker 1: podcast on YouTube subscribe there and I listened to him
- 18:15Speaker 1: on Apple Podcasts as well. You should subscribe on whatever
- 18:18Speaker 1: podcast platform you are on. Let's get into our grades.
- 18:22Speaker 1: Gonna grade the quarterback position boy this week, Jalen Hurts.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts was hurting in some ways in this game.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Eleven of nineteen for one hundred and eighteen yards. He
- 18:33Speaker 1: averaged six point two yards per attempt, one touchdown, took
- 18:38Speaker 1: two sacks. He ended with a rating of ninety three
- 18:42Speaker 1: point eight. I am gonna give Jalen Hurts, believe it
- 18:45Speaker 1: or not, a C plus this week because I think
- 18:47Speaker 1: there were some really rough play from him. The offensive line,
- 18:52Speaker 1: like you mentioned earlier before we went to break, offensive
- 18:55Speaker 1: line didn't necessarily help him out in terms of pass pro. However,
- 18:59Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts made some pretty poor decisions in this game,
- 19:02Speaker 1: I think, and I just wasn't necessarily happy with how
- 19:08Speaker 1: he played. The defense bailed Jalen Hurts out, I think
- 19:10Speaker 1: in this game in a lot of different ways. I'm
- 19:12Speaker 1: gonna give him a C plus. What do you give
- 19:14Speaker 1: Jalen Hurts?
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 19:16Speaker 3: I was going b minus I'm in that same range.
- 19:18Speaker 3: I don't think this today was his best game. I
- 19:21Speaker 3: don't think necessarily they needed or wanted to put the
- 19:25Speaker 3: game flow didn't work out that they wanted to put
- 19:27Speaker 3: this game completely in his hands. But I mean the
- 19:33Speaker 3: pass pro was pretty bad. I mean, you had a
- 19:35Speaker 3: couple of swing passes get batted away early in the game,
- 19:38Speaker 3: midway through the game. You know, it was pretty frustrating.
- 19:41Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:44Speaker 3: I also always want to keep in context, however, though
- 19:47Speaker 3: there's a lot of that the great play from Saquon
- 19:50Speaker 3: Barkley and a lot of these big first downs that
- 19:53Speaker 3: are keeping drives alive, keeping the defense, you know, letting
- 19:56Speaker 3: the defense catch its breath so they could play complimentary
- 19:59Speaker 3: fo ball and play this top level defense. It's coming
- 20:03Speaker 3: because Jalen Hurts is being you know, selling out, you know,
- 20:06Speaker 3: putting his body at risk.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Yeah, making making good.
- 20:09Speaker 3: Reads on on the on the zone read uh, to
- 20:12Speaker 3: be able. He's not just running. I mean, Jalen's not
- 20:15Speaker 3: just running off tackle. He's running you know, off of
- 20:18Speaker 3: right guard, left guard.
- 20:20Speaker 1: Ye.
- 20:21Speaker 3: So I always want to keep that up. Yeah, I
- 20:23Speaker 3: mean it's incredible. I mean we don't see that there's
- 20:26Speaker 3: only Josh Allen and and Jalen that I see running
- 20:29Speaker 3: through the exac so. But I mean, I I don't
- 20:33Speaker 3: think we're really disagreeing that much. Today was not his
- 20:36Speaker 3: best game, Thankfully we didn't need it.
- 20:41Speaker 2: I think he.
- 20:41Speaker 3: Still has it in him. But yeah, C plus B
- 20:45Speaker 3: minus is where I'm going with Jalen all Right.
- 20:47Speaker 1: The running back room, it was basically just Saquon Barkley.
- 20:51Speaker 1: Will Shipley did have one one carry for four yards.
- 20:54Speaker 2: However curious it really was.
- 20:56Speaker 1: It was very very curious, however, on Barkley with twenty
- 21:01Speaker 1: three carries again for one hundred and seven yards four
- 21:04Speaker 1: point seven yards per carry and a touchdown. I'm giving
- 21:07Speaker 1: Saquon Barkley straight up A this week because we knew
- 21:11Speaker 1: coming into this game.
- 21:11Speaker 2: I mean, everybody's honing in on him.
- 21:13Speaker 1: Everybody was honing in on him, and he was able
- 21:15Speaker 1: to rip one off for twenty five yards for a
- 21:18Speaker 1: touchdown as well in the second half. Just just an
- 21:22Speaker 1: amazing athlete and he showed us once again, in my opinion,
- 21:26Speaker 1: why he is the MVP of this league. I give
- 21:29Speaker 1: him an A this week. What do he give Saquon
- 21:30Speaker 1: Barkley running back?
- 21:33Speaker 3: We're getting kind of spoiled here with Saquon being so
- 21:37Speaker 3: damn good because if you you know, if you took
- 21:40Speaker 3: the name off the back of the jersey and you
- 21:42Speaker 3: just said you're running back number twenty six, did this today, Yeah,
- 21:46Speaker 3: everybody would say it's an a when he comes off
- 21:49Speaker 3: of a game where he rushed for fuck for freaking
- 21:52Speaker 3: sorry fifty two fifty and so you kind of like, uh,
- 21:58Speaker 3: but yes, he was excellent and it was a big game.
- 22:02Speaker 3: You know, he talks a lot about how he's not
- 22:04Speaker 3: you know, he's not playing into a lot of the
- 22:05Speaker 3: head to head mess ups with Derrek Henry. Does he
- 22:08Speaker 3: want to win MVP? No, and we're focused on winning
- 22:10Speaker 3: the game. But deep down you know that those narratives,
- 22:13Speaker 3: in those themes exist. And so he came into this game,
- 22:16Speaker 3: did what he had to do once again in the
- 22:18Speaker 3: fourth quarter, rips off a huge touchdown run. I mean,
- 22:22Speaker 3: just put a create a highlight reel of just Saquon
- 22:24Speaker 3: Barkley rushing long rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter. That's
- 22:27Speaker 3: his that's his highlight film for the MVP kids.
- 22:30Speaker 1: That absolutely is uh an A Given the context of
- 22:34Speaker 1: what this game was and what we were expecting coming
- 22:37Speaker 1: into this from a defensive standpoint from Baltimore, So a
- 22:40Speaker 1: for sure. Let's move over to the receivers here. Look,
- 22:43Speaker 1: they weren't asked to do too too much in this game,
- 22:45Speaker 1: but I'll tell you AJ Brown and Dallas Goddard when
- 22:48Speaker 1: their number was called, they were picking up first downs
- 22:50Speaker 1: when they needed to. I'm gonna give them an a
- 22:53Speaker 1: minus this week because they did everything I think that
- 22:55Speaker 1: they were asked. I don't know what do you give
- 22:56Speaker 1: their receivers. I'll go I'll go with be okay.
- 23:01Speaker 3: I just gotta see to your point earlier though, Jeff,
- 23:05Speaker 3: I gotta see more from Johan Dotson.
- 23:07Speaker 2: Saw a Paris Campbell lineup. He didn't have any you know, uh,
- 23:12Speaker 2: you know, bad lineups. But other than that nothing.
- 23:17Speaker 1: You know what, I'm bringing it down to a bee.
- 23:19Speaker 1: I'm bringing it down to a bee.
- 23:20Speaker 2: You know why.
- 23:20Speaker 1: You make a really good point, because the receivers are
- 23:24Speaker 1: are more than just a J Brown Dallas Godder in
- 23:28Speaker 1: this game. You're absolutely right, people are are receiving page
- 23:32Speaker 1: exactly exactly. There There is other talent quote talent on
- 23:36Speaker 1: this team. You're absolutely right. I'm bringing it down to
- 23:39Speaker 1: a bee. You convinced me buddy, you're absolutely I know.
- 23:49Speaker 1: I'm sorry if I interrupted you. There, go ahead. No, no, no,
- 23:52Speaker 1: we're good. No, no, we're good.
- 23:54Speaker 2: We're on the same.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Page because because I mean, it's just other people exist,
- 23:58Speaker 3: and other people have to show up and make plays.
- 24:01Speaker 3: And the past, in the the past, blocking wasn't perfect.
- 24:05Speaker 2: No, But but guys gotta get open.
- 24:08Speaker 3: I mean, and during the weeks, you gotta show Kellen
- 24:11Speaker 3: what you need so you can get a smoke screen.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Let's get a smoke screen to Paris Campbell. He's supposed
- 24:16Speaker 3: to be fast. Johan Dockson and Niah Smith, you guys exist,
- 24:20Speaker 3: You're getting game checks, and I respect you.
- 24:22Speaker 2: You're on the winning team. You're on the right winning
- 24:24Speaker 2: team this Sunday.
- 24:25Speaker 3: But you guys gotta you know, like Bryce Huff started existing, Yes,
- 24:29Speaker 3: we need you ought to start existing.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Yes, very true, very true.
- 24:33Speaker 2: I love it. I love it all right.
- 24:34Speaker 1: The offensive line here, this is gonna be interesting because
- 24:38Speaker 1: in terms of the rushing attack, this offensive line I
- 24:41Speaker 1: think did a very good job. I'm talking like a minus.
- 24:46Speaker 1: But man, when it came to pass pro it was
- 24:48Speaker 1: rough today. Look, this is a this is a pretty
- 24:51Speaker 1: damn good Ravens front. Four, even front seven, they're pretty
- 24:56Speaker 1: damn good. You gotta rope On Smith out there. You know,
- 24:58Speaker 1: it's pretty it's pretty good football a player, and uh,
- 25:02Speaker 1: you know, Malik Harrison pretty pretty good. He really stepped up.
- 25:04Speaker 1: I know last week. I'm not even sure if he
- 25:07Speaker 1: was in the I just want to say because we
- 25:09Speaker 1: we I talked about him during our Opposition Territory preview show.
- 25:14Speaker 1: I'm not sure if Malik Harrison was really doing much
- 25:16Speaker 1: of anything. However, Rokwan Smith, I mean, he led the
- 25:19Speaker 1: team with eleven tackles on the day, he had a
- 25:22Speaker 1: half a sack and a quarterback hit. You know, one
- 25:25Speaker 1: of the best players out there.
- 25:26Speaker 2: Anyway.
- 25:27Speaker 1: He was given problems to the offensive line for sure,
- 25:30Speaker 1: and I think with the pass Pro it was probably
- 25:34Speaker 1: a C minus for the for this Eagles offensive line.
- 25:37Speaker 1: So I'm actually gonna get the Eagles offensive line this week.
- 25:39Speaker 1: I think to give him a B minus. What do
- 25:40Speaker 1: you give him same?
- 25:42Speaker 3: Okay, all right, yeah, because you have to average both
- 25:44Speaker 3: of those out. I mean, it was it was an
- 25:46Speaker 3: adventure in pass Pro, but then there someone's creating those
- 25:50Speaker 3: lanes for Jalen and sa Quan to rip off those
- 25:52Speaker 3: important runs.
- 25:53Speaker 2: Exactly. Think we're on the same page there.
- 25:55Speaker 1: All right, let's move over to the defense. Defensive line
- 25:58Speaker 1: getting that pressure. Like I said earlier, I think Lamar
- 26:01Speaker 1: Jackson was under a decent amount of pressure in this game,
- 26:04Speaker 1: having to leave the pocket. Yeah, he had some scrambles
- 26:07Speaker 1: as well for first downs. However, I think I think
- 26:11Speaker 1: we've seen a lot of growth this year, and I
- 26:13Speaker 1: think of this week thirteen game right here, Matt, we're
- 26:16Speaker 1: really seeing how they don't have to get sacks all
- 26:19Speaker 1: the time in order to be effective game after game,
- 26:23Speaker 1: drive after drive against the other team.
- 26:25Speaker 2: I'm gonna give him an a minus.
- 26:26Speaker 1: Actually, this week, what do you give the pass rush
- 26:28Speaker 1: in the I should say the defensive line here.
- 26:32Speaker 2: I'm gonna give him an A Okay.
- 26:33Speaker 3: I really liked what I saw from them, especially under
- 26:36Speaker 3: the circumstances. You got Nolan Smith playing heavy minutes. You
- 26:40Speaker 3: got Jlex Hunt playing heavy minutes. Milton Moro Jomo number
- 26:44Speaker 3: ninety seven, Yeah, playing heavy minutes. And they were constantly
- 26:48Speaker 3: I mean, Lamar was never really comfortable set in his feet.
- 26:52Speaker 3: They played really smart. The defensive tackles didn't rush up
- 26:55Speaker 3: field and create those lanes for Lamar to create those
- 26:59Speaker 3: highlight plays runs, those are always really you know, tempting,
- 27:03Speaker 3: because you want to be the guy to just pop
- 27:05Speaker 3: Lamar Jackson. In a game like this, they played very
- 27:08Speaker 3: discipline I got I'll give.
- 27:11Speaker 2: Him a solid A for this week. Okay, very good.
- 27:14Speaker 3: How many sacks did we get today? We only got three?
- 27:17Speaker 3: Only got three sacks? Yeah, three sacks, six quarterback hits.
- 27:22Speaker 3: There were five tackles for a loss too. And those
- 27:24Speaker 3: tackles for a loss though, came from one was Nolan Smith,
- 27:28Speaker 3: one was Zach Bond, and then you've got three from
- 27:32Speaker 3: Jalen Carter. So, I mean, Jalen Carter really was a
- 27:36Speaker 3: beast today.
- 27:37Speaker 1: How many times we got to see this poor guy
- 27:38Speaker 1: getting held constantly, even held by two guys, and the
- 27:42Speaker 1: ref is right there, and I know, look, I was
- 27:44Speaker 1: complaining about it on last week's post game show, and
- 27:47Speaker 1: our and our good friend Josh who also does our
- 27:49Speaker 1: post games, He's like, look, you know, if we're complaining
- 27:52Speaker 1: about penalties and we're complaining about officials, we're already losing
- 27:56Speaker 1: the game here and stuff, which we didn't last week.
- 27:58Speaker 1: But still it's like it's egregious at this point, it's
- 28:02Speaker 1: egregious that Jalen Carter is getting held to this extent
- 28:05Speaker 1: and not getting called.
- 28:08Speaker 2: All right. I really like the no, no, I agree
- 28:11Speaker 2: with you. I am on your side of this one.
- 28:15Speaker 3: I really like the violence that they played, the attitude
- 28:19Speaker 3: that they played with line in particular, Yeah, the defensive
- 28:23Speaker 3: line played with I mean the whole defense played with that,
- 28:26Speaker 3: and that you know, a lot of that comes from,
- 28:28Speaker 3: you know, leadership Vic Fangio, CJ. Gardner, Johnson all the
- 28:32Speaker 3: way down, Nikobe Dean and Zach Baughn. But they played
- 28:35Speaker 3: with a physicality and attitude and edge like you know,
- 28:40Speaker 3: you you know those like petty things where you know,
- 28:44Speaker 3: you bring Derek Henry down hard to the ground and
- 28:47Speaker 3: you get up and you kind of like let your
- 28:49Speaker 3: knee hit his side as he's getting up and slack
- 28:52Speaker 3: the ball out of his hand. And I just, I
- 28:56Speaker 3: you know, if I'm if I'm a Ravens fan, tonight,
- 28:59Speaker 3: I'm really I'm really like concerned about Derrick Henry because
- 29:04Speaker 3: his body language was bad tonight, and I think that
- 29:07Speaker 3: these guys whooped him up ye pretty good. Yeah, He's
- 29:10Speaker 3: supposed to be the big tough guy and he's supposed
- 29:12Speaker 3: to be the bully, and these guys whooped his ass today.
- 29:15Speaker 3: To be honest, and you got you know, that's a
- 29:17Speaker 3: great way.
- 29:18Speaker 1: The segue into the linebacker position was Zach bond Na,
- 29:21Speaker 1: Kobe Dean. Every unit is going to get some sort
- 29:24Speaker 1: of an A from me. I'm just gonna put that
- 29:25Speaker 1: out there. This linebacker corps a straight up a Zach
- 29:29Speaker 1: Bonn is fantastic. Nakobe Dean going downhill is fantastic to watch.
- 29:34Speaker 1: He is making tackles, he's making stops. He is a
- 29:37Speaker 1: major contributor to this defense. Now, no question about it, folks,
- 29:41Speaker 1: No question about Nakobe Dean at this point, and we
- 29:44Speaker 1: shouldn't question him anymore anymore, not that people have, but
- 29:49Speaker 1: straight up a from.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Me, what do you give the linebackers? Buddy?
- 29:52Speaker 3: People hadn't this year. But I will be honest. I
- 29:55Speaker 3: questioned him in the past and I associated him with.
- 29:57Speaker 2: The B word bust. Yeah. I didn't say he was
- 30:01Speaker 2: quite yet a bust.
- 30:03Speaker 1: But the ver yeah it was on the verge.
- 30:08Speaker 2: He's on the verge of bust.
- 30:09Speaker 3: And now he's on the verge of superstar because he's
- 30:13Speaker 3: again playing with just a level of violence and and
- 30:16Speaker 3: you know, the only thing we missed today. As far
- 30:18Speaker 3: as a great linebacker play was a Van Samarin uh
- 30:23Speaker 3: his appearance as full back where he just stuffs the
- 30:27Speaker 3: let's uh, let's say, Kwan break one for another five yards,
- 30:31Speaker 3: but no, get straight.
- 30:32Speaker 1: Up A all right, I'm gonna then give an aid
- 30:35Speaker 1: to the secondary as well. I'm gonna give an aid
- 30:38Speaker 1: to the secondary. That shell that Vic Fangio has this
- 30:41Speaker 1: secondary playing in is really honing in on the talents
- 30:46Speaker 1: of each of these guys in the secondary, whether it's
- 30:50Speaker 1: Quinnon Mitchell, who once again had a great game, had
- 30:53Speaker 1: a scare with regard to his knee, but he was okay,
- 30:56Speaker 1: he came back in. I know Red Blankenship left with
- 30:59Speaker 1: a concussion. I think we're gonna be missing him, perhaps
- 31:03Speaker 1: hopefully not for too too long.
- 31:04Speaker 2: CJ.
- 31:05Speaker 1: Gardner Johnson doing some good stuff as well. And uh,
- 31:10Speaker 1: I think that this secondary played a level football today
- 31:15Speaker 1: against some some receivers that, you know, not the greatest
- 31:18Speaker 1: receivers in the world. But Zay Flowers is darn good.
- 31:21Speaker 1: I mean, I mean, yeah, Nelson Agilore was Nelson a
- 31:25Speaker 1: I mean, but.
- 31:26Speaker 2: He's good Nelson at this point. Yes, he is good Nelson.
- 31:30Speaker 3: Yes.
- 31:32Speaker 1: Rashad Bateman actually went out with a knee injury, so
- 31:35Speaker 1: we didn't get to see him however, And yeah, exactly exactly.
- 31:41Speaker 1: I love what this secondary has become.
- 31:43Speaker 2: I really do.
- 31:44Speaker 1: And especially with Cooper de Gene too, when he took
- 31:46Speaker 1: Derrick Henry and just plowed him right into the ground.
- 31:50Speaker 1: What a great football tackle that was and just getting
- 31:53Speaker 1: up and just celebrating as he should have with other teammates.
- 31:57Speaker 1: And A for me for this secondary, what do you
- 31:59Speaker 1: give them?
- 32:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I can go with an A. However, I gotta
- 32:08Speaker 3: you know, the show's honorable mention, so the take the
- 32:11Speaker 3: honorable mentioned take. And this is unfortunately like dishonorable because
- 32:15Speaker 3: this guy is a really nice guy. And uh, this
- 32:18Speaker 3: is why my journalism friends and mentors tell me that
- 32:21Speaker 3: it's important not to become friends with or like the
- 32:25Speaker 3: people that you're reporting there, because it'll skew your reporting
- 32:29Speaker 3: and you'll kind of pull your punches and not say
- 32:31Speaker 3: things accurately. Avonte Maddox needs to stay the hell off.
- 32:37Speaker 2: You just wish.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Yes, he has been just rugged, just slow and he
- 32:49Speaker 3: and and because he's slow now at this point, he's
- 32:54Speaker 3: holding every time and it's obvious and egregious holds if
- 32:58Speaker 3: we can keep avant, if we can keep twenty nine
- 33:00Speaker 3: off the field. Yeah, he's just he was one of
- 33:07Speaker 3: the top slot corners in the league for years.
- 33:09Speaker 2: But that was three four years ago, exactly.
- 33:13Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, all right, well yeh wait, did you
- 33:17Speaker 3: give a grade? I'll go with your A. You can
- 33:20Speaker 3: go with the A A. But I'm checking your double
- 33:25Speaker 3: checking the homework next week.
- 33:26Speaker 1: Okay, all right, sounds good. Double check that home mark, buddy,
- 33:30Speaker 1: double check it. All right, let's move to the offense,
- 33:35Speaker 1: defense and special teams. Now the coaching I gotta tell you,
- 33:39Speaker 1: man Killy Ringo on special teams with a penalty on
- 33:44Speaker 1: the first punt of the game, hitting the Ravens return
- 33:46Speaker 1: man when he fair caught the ball. Then he was
- 33:48Speaker 1: penalized twice actually in the first quarter. I will say
- 33:54Speaker 1: this though, even though Killey Ringo didn't have necessarily the
- 33:58Speaker 1: greatest game in terms of special teams, braidon man getting
- 34:02Speaker 1: it done. I know the punter never gets love, but man,
- 34:05Speaker 1: braidman this second I did eight punted in the second quarter.
- 34:08Speaker 1: He had a great punt. It was down, yes, and
- 34:11Speaker 1: I was just gonna mention that, yep, one at the
- 34:13Speaker 1: one yard line. At that punt was a thing of beauty.
- 34:16Speaker 1: And then there was another one right at the end
- 34:18Speaker 1: of the third quarter, the one you're talking about it.
- 34:19Speaker 1: I think it was at like the four yard line
- 34:21Speaker 1: or something. It was fantastic. Jlyx Hunt, who I was
- 34:25Speaker 1: really gonna be watching it out for in this game,
- 34:28Speaker 1: but even from a special team's perspective, had a huge
- 34:31Speaker 1: hit on a kickoff return with.
- 34:32Speaker 2: About eight minutes left to go in the second quarter.
- 34:34Speaker 1: He was great, and uh, you know, we've got uh
- 34:39Speaker 1: Jake Elliott back to form here now. So I'm actually
- 34:42Speaker 1: gonna give special teams a B plus this week. I'm
- 34:45Speaker 1: gonna give him a B plus. Could be an A minus,
- 34:47Speaker 1: but I'm gonna go B plus. What do you give him?
- 34:50Speaker 3: I could go I'm fine with B plus. Well, no,
- 34:55Speaker 3: I gotta go B because because the like you said,
- 34:59Speaker 3: the key ringo at the out of bounds. Yeah, I
- 35:02Speaker 3: don't ever understand how, guys. It's not like in the
- 35:05Speaker 3: NBA where it's like, oh, no, I didn't foul the
- 35:07Speaker 3: guys like you clearly ran for like twenty yards out
- 35:11Speaker 3: of bounds and then back into the field of play.
- 35:14Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly, exactly, yes, all right, because it would have
- 35:19Speaker 1: been an A for me. If it wasn't for kiey
- 35:21Speaker 1: Ringo in this game, it would have been an A
- 35:23Speaker 1: for special teams. But all right, let's move to the defense.
- 35:26Speaker 1: Vic Fangio is gonna get an A plus for me
- 35:28Speaker 1: this week. Seriously, Like you said, when you like, it
- 35:34Speaker 1: wasn't nineteen points that the Browns or the Baltimore Ravens scored.
- 35:37Speaker 2: Yes, it says it. It should be twelve.
- 35:40Speaker 1: It should be twelve points because that last touchdown, garbage touchdown.
- 35:44Speaker 1: Eagles really weren't even trying. When you can hold the
- 35:47Speaker 1: Baltimore Ravens to basically twelve points throughout this entire game
- 35:52Speaker 1: in their house, that's saying a lot about not only
- 35:55Speaker 1: your your your defensive personnel, but it's saying a lot
- 35:58Speaker 1: about the coaching too. I'm giving Vico and a plus.
- 36:02Speaker 2: These guys got ready to play.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Yeah, really impressive coming off a Sunday night football game
- 36:09Speaker 3: in LA that they clearly didn't take lightly, that was
- 36:12Speaker 3: clearly a close game. Yep, got ready to play again
- 36:15Speaker 3: on Sunday next Sunday afternoon.
- 36:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm gonna go with it.
- 36:20Speaker 3: I go with a plus because last I checked, I
- 36:23Speaker 3: thought that the Ravens had two MVP finalists, but they
- 36:27Speaker 3: don't have it won anymore.
- 36:29Speaker 2: They don't.
- 36:30Speaker 1: They don't what happened Vic Fangio and the defense happened? Yes,
- 36:36Speaker 1: Oh well, we're running out of time here. Let's move
- 36:38Speaker 1: over to the offense here. I'm gonna give Nick Sirianni
- 36:41Speaker 1: and Kellen Moore a B plus this week, and that
- 36:44Speaker 1: might be kind Maybe I'll.
- 36:45Speaker 2: Go around B or so where I'm going.
- 36:48Speaker 1: Yeah, I was gonna say B probably, you know now
- 36:50Speaker 1: thinking about it, simply because of what we talked about
- 36:52Speaker 1: earlier before the break. It was just it was a
- 36:56Speaker 1: terrible first quarter, but they always bounce back. We see
- 36:58Speaker 1: it time and time again after week. Just some of
- 37:02Speaker 1: the play calling I thought throughout the game was suspect
- 37:05Speaker 1: they're gonna get a B.
- 37:06Speaker 2: What do you give them? That's where I'm that's what
- 37:09Speaker 2: I'm giving them.
- 37:10Speaker 3: I don't know if if if they called the right plays,
- 37:13Speaker 3: and that the bad offensive line play at times, at times,
- 37:16Speaker 3: bad offensive line play through away bad plays, I don't know.
- 37:22Speaker 3: But the product I saw in the field and the
- 37:25Speaker 3: matchups being drawn up that I could see the very
- 37:29Speaker 3: big plus that was the fact that they were just again,
- 37:33Speaker 3: just decided at a certain point we're hammering these guys and
- 37:35Speaker 3: we're not gonna stop.
- 37:36Speaker 2: Yep.
- 37:37Speaker 1: Absolutely, well again, folks, what a great game, What a
- 37:41Speaker 1: great game. The Eagles are ten and two on the season,
- 37:44Speaker 1: now the perennial favorites to go to the NFC Championship Game,
- 37:50Speaker 1: perhaps to face the Detroit Lions. We'll have to see
- 37:53Speaker 1: how the rest of these five weeks go here, but
- 37:56Speaker 1: again the Eagles beating the Baltimore Ravens by a score
- 37:59Speaker 1: of twenty four to nine nineteen down in Baltimore. They're
- 38:02Speaker 1: gonna be coming back to Philly next week to play
- 38:05Speaker 1: the Carolina Panthers. Gonna be an interesting game for us
- 38:09Speaker 1: to watch there as well. I want to thank Matt
- 38:12Speaker 1: Rodgers again from the honorable mentioned podcast. Follow him, subscribe
- 38:15Speaker 1: on YouTube and whatever podcast platform you're listening to us

- 38:33Speaker 3: Absolutely looking forward to hosting the lines in Philadelphia because.
- 38:36Speaker 2: They're gonna drop one. The Phillies Eagles are gonna fit
- 38:38Speaker 2: as strong. I love it hosting them in Philly. I
- 38:41Speaker 2: love it.
- 38:41Speaker 1: I love it, I love it. Let's hope that happens
- 38:44Speaker 1: for sure. All right, folks, you all take care. We'll
