- 0:10Speaker 1: Winter insurance. Did I'm true Detroit, I'm a checktut with insurance.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Get a true thing is? Hey?
- 0:32Speaker 2: Everybody, welcome to Conspiracy the Show. I'm your host, Adam
- 0:36Speaker 2: Todd Brown joining me as co host this week. Connor's here.
- 0:39Speaker 2: How's it going, man?
- 0:41Speaker 3: I'm going better now that I'm talking to you, Adam.
- 0:43Speaker 2: Hey, ain't that always the way ship is going down?
- 0:48Speaker 2: Where Connor and I.
- 0:49Speaker 3: Live California, the Golden State.
- 0:53Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't mean the apartment we share. We moved
- 0:55Speaker 2: out of the apartment we shared together a long time ago.
- 0:59Speaker 3: After Adam fan to kill me in the womb powered
- 1:02Speaker 3: that he is.
- 1:04Speaker 2: But the city we live in, Los Angeles. Maybe people
- 1:07Speaker 2: have heard it's on fire right now all over the
- 1:10Speaker 2: goddamn place.
- 1:12Speaker 3: Yeah. I saw someone use the phrase, which I felt like,
- 1:16Speaker 3: given the circumstances, was totally accurate. You think he was
- 1:19Speaker 3: caught in the midst of an exclaiming hurricane, which, like
- 1:22Speaker 3: that should be a drink that you order, not a
- 1:25Speaker 3: fucking thing that happens to your house. It is crazy,
- 1:29Speaker 3: That's what it's like.
- 1:30Speaker 2: It's not just a fire because it's a fire happening
- 1:34Speaker 2: while the Santa Anna winds are.
- 1:36Speaker 3: Happening over one hundred miles an hour sometimes. I heard that.
- 1:40Speaker 3: I heard this fact blew my mind that embers can
- 1:43Speaker 3: travel over a mile with that, so one fucking lucky
- 1:46Speaker 3: spark can take out your whole, you know, Pacific Palisades home.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I'm in sam Pedro, damn, like right by the ocean,
- 1:57Speaker 2: and we're getting ash down here. Oh it's a raining
- 2:01Speaker 2: ash yeah yeah, and it has been for a while,
- 2:04Speaker 2: so I'm far enough away that fire isn't a threat yet.
- 2:09Speaker 2: But also people set a fucking park on fire last
- 2:13Speaker 2: night and that got put down quick enough, but.
- 2:17Speaker 3: Like like an arson just so on oh god.
- 2:21Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, So who knows that you said you're in
- 2:25Speaker 2: Teluca Lake.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I mean Teluca Lake sort of like in between the
- 2:30Speaker 3: Sunset fire and the Kenneth fire and the Lyddia fire.
- 2:34Speaker 3: I'm kind of in the middle of that triangle, but
- 2:36Speaker 3: far enough away from all of them that wasn't really
- 2:39Speaker 3: terribly at risk. And I notoriously I am not a
- 2:42Speaker 3: news reader. I am not on Twitter every day seeing
- 2:45Speaker 3: what's going on. I don't ever check anything ever. So
- 2:48Speaker 3: the day that the fire happened, one of my New
- 2:50Speaker 3: Year's resolutions I quit smoking in late December, and I said,
- 2:53Speaker 3: I'm going to walk ten thousand steps every day, so
- 2:55Speaker 3: I'm outside. I walked probably five miles the day. The
- 2:58Speaker 3: air quality wassolutely the worst, no mask, no nothing, but
- 3:04Speaker 3: it felt just like normal walking because all the benefits
- 3:06Speaker 3: of quitting smoking canceled out all the detriments of breathing
- 3:10Speaker 3: in the poisoned fumes.
- 3:11Speaker 2: Yeah that makes sense. Yeah, I've been trying to work
- 3:16Speaker 2: out more and I went for a pretty intense walk
- 3:21Speaker 2: on a morning this week when I probably shouldn't have, like,
- 3:24Speaker 2: oh yeah, And I even started out and I was like, yeah,
- 3:28Speaker 2: this is fine. I don't even smell smoke. And by
- 3:30Speaker 2: the end it smelled like the city I live in
- 3:34Speaker 2: was fucking on fire.
- 3:36Speaker 3: That you were inside a campfire.
- 3:38Speaker 2: Yeah, it was nuts.
- 3:39Speaker 3: You were fucking Adam smore Brown.
- 3:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's bad. It hasn't been as bad for me
- 3:46Speaker 2: because I live a good distance away but still in
- 3:49Speaker 2: La County. But I definitely there's definitely people who've had
- 3:53Speaker 2: to flee who are yea the network. I have a
- 3:57Speaker 2: friend who lost her house in Alta Dina, one of.
- 4:00Speaker 3: The coolest free I've always wanted to move to Alta Dina.
- 4:02Speaker 3: That was my cool secret neighborhood that I was going
- 4:05Speaker 3: to be a cool old man in go to the
- 4:07Speaker 3: record store. I had it all planned out. Now, well,
- 4:10Speaker 3: maybe property values might be lower, so.
- 4:13Speaker 2: Yeah, probably afford it now.
- 4:14Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 4:15Speaker 2: Yeah. The Altadena fire was especially crazy because it started
- 4:18Speaker 2: in the mountains, but because of those winds, it was
- 4:21Speaker 2: just pushed into the urban areas everywhere.
- 4:24Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, it was good. That was the one that
- 4:26Speaker 3: I feel like went like deepest into. Maybe the Pacific
- 4:29Speaker 3: Palisades was was just bigger, just by the sheer side
- 4:32Speaker 3: size of it. But that one like really just penetrated
- 4:34Speaker 3: like where people live, not like like weirdos that there's
- 4:37Speaker 3: like there's all there's all these weird houses in the
- 4:39Speaker 3: hills in LA that have been owned by one old
- 4:42Speaker 3: kookie family for one hundred years or whatever the fuck.
- 4:45Speaker 3: But this was this was just like a hood, just
- 4:47Speaker 3: like a low, just like a local. Fucking this is
- 4:49Speaker 3: like where people live. I don't know how to put
- 4:51Speaker 3: it in that, you know.
- 4:53Speaker 2: Yeah, even the Malibu fire, I don't think anyone with
- 4:56Speaker 2: beachfront property was expecting their house burn in a.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Wild forest fire. Yeah, that's insane, And.
- 5:04Speaker 2: That's exactly what happened. All these houses along the beach
- 5:07Speaker 2: burned down, and yeah, it's been an event and it's
- 5:12Speaker 2: still ongoing. The wind is supposed to kick back up
- 5:15Speaker 2: today as people listen to this. The winds are supposed
- 5:19Speaker 2: to get pretty crazy again.
- 5:21Speaker 3: But fearing that California, our finest unpaid inmates are doing
- 5:26Speaker 3: their very best to fight the blaze.
- 5:30Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah, So of course there are a lot
- 5:33Speaker 2: of conspiracy there. Oh I should mention I'm glad you're okay,
- 5:36Speaker 2: I'm glad you're safe. At first, I thought we couldn't
- 5:39Speaker 2: record this because I asked if you were free or
- 5:42Speaker 2: if you'd be fleeing fires, and you were like, I'm free,
- 5:45Speaker 2: but I'll be fleeing fires. So I took that to
- 5:47Speaker 2: mean we couldn't record. When the truth is Connor is
- 5:50Speaker 2: in a van right now, flames at the fucking.
- 5:55Speaker 3: Bumper undisclosed secure location, Adam, thank.
- 5:59Speaker 2: You on road to bring you content.
- 6:02Speaker 3: At my grandma's house, explaining to her over and over
- 6:06Speaker 3: and over again that we don't know if it was
- 6:09Speaker 3: arson that started the fire. My grandmother's gone seen island.
- 6:13Speaker 3: She was just staring at the TV, like, oh, it's
- 6:16Speaker 3: so horrible. People light those fires. It's awful, and we're like,
- 6:20Speaker 3: we don't know if it was people delute the fires.
- 6:22Speaker 3: Twenty seconds later, Oh my god, people just light those
- 6:26Speaker 3: fires anyway.
- 6:28Speaker 2: Yeah, I think the Kenneth fire they've determined was arson,
- 6:31Speaker 2: but beyond that, I don't.
- 6:32Speaker 3: Yeah, they have a person of interest.
- 6:34Speaker 2: Yeah, a homeless person with a flamethrower. I heard them
- 6:37Speaker 2: described as which imagine that being the last possession you
- 6:41Speaker 2: hold on to.
- 6:42Speaker 3: Yeah, your flamethrower. This is my boring company, Elon Musk flamethrower.
- 6:48Speaker 3: It was a limited drop. It's technically a welding torch,
- 6:52Speaker 3: and you could pry it from a cold dead almost
- 6:55Speaker 3: hrs exactly.
- 6:56Speaker 2: That guy let the Kenneth fire.
- 6:58Speaker 3: Sorry unhoused hand right, Yeah, no, I was gonna say,
- 7:03Speaker 3: he's been talking all kinds of shit about this, and
- 7:05Speaker 3: we'll get to it in a minute. But Elon Musk
- 7:07Speaker 3: was a guy who made it. Flamethrowers ridicially available to
- 7:10Speaker 3: the American public for a fairly low, right, three hundred
- 7:12Speaker 3: bucks or something.
- 7:13Speaker 2: Yeah, they were very affordable. The only reason I don't
- 7:16Speaker 2: have one is they sold out super quick.
- 7:18Speaker 3: Yeah, no, shit, same here, Like.
- 7:20Speaker 2: I would have definitely bought a flamethrower, You fucking kidding me?
- 7:24Speaker 3: Of course I would have turned into one of those
- 7:26Speaker 3: like you know, you ever meet like the liberal who's like, ah,
- 7:28Speaker 3: you know, he's a piece of shit, but he makes
- 7:30Speaker 3: a good car. I would be like, eh, you know,
- 7:33Speaker 3: he's kind of a douchebag, but I love to light
- 7:36Speaker 3: things on fire.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Like a flamethrower feels like the spray bottle for cats,
- 7:42Speaker 2: but for intruders, like someone breaks in, you just set
- 7:46Speaker 2: that thing off once and they're getting the fuck out
- 7:48Speaker 2: of there a sleep as long as you don't set
- 7:51Speaker 2: the house on fire.
- 7:52Speaker 3: Obviously, that that is a perfect analogy. What the fuck
- 7:55Speaker 3: are you going to do? You know, just so it
- 7:57Speaker 3: could be busted out a three section staff and do
- 7:59Speaker 3: a bunch tricks, like I don't know if he can
- 8:01Speaker 3: hurt me with that, but I don't want to find out.
- 8:03Speaker 2: Yeah no, no, it's me taking on an intruder. So
- 8:07Speaker 2: there's conspiracy theories about these fires, obviously, and almost all
- 8:12Speaker 2: of them are kind of stupid.
- 8:15Speaker 3: It's a lot of hogwash today.
- 8:17Speaker 2: Yeah, Shockingly, Trump comes through at the end with the
- 8:22Speaker 2: one that is the.
- 8:23Speaker 3: Most the most salient.
- 8:25Speaker 2: Believable, which we're living in the upside down everybody.
- 8:29Speaker 3: Well, you know, broken clocks right twice a day and
- 8:34Speaker 3: he has been breaking out one of my favorite nicknames
- 8:36Speaker 3: of newscum, Gavin Neuscumb. It doesn't exactly roll off the tongue,
- 8:41Speaker 3: but to see it written is just perfect.
- 8:43Speaker 2: Yeah. Gavin Newsom is one of those Democrats that I
- 8:47Speaker 2: just think Russhom Newsom, I just have zero sympathy for
- 8:52Speaker 2: that guy.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Yeah. I love to watch him fail and be derided
- 8:56Speaker 3: and to see him going to the fucking fancy restaurant
- 9:00Speaker 3: in Covid and all this. He's just he just thinks
- 9:02Speaker 3: I fucking hate that he's going to be the nominee
- 9:04Speaker 3: and most likely you know, like, I'm just, I'm just
- 9:07Speaker 3: why do I keep having to see this motherfucker's face.
- 9:10Speaker 2: Yeah, apparently the onion ran aheadline after the fires that
- 9:14Speaker 2: said Gavin Newsom spotted eating in the ashes.
- 9:17Speaker 3: Of No Boot, which it's funny.
- 9:21Speaker 2: That is the thing that kind of put me off
- 9:23Speaker 2: on Gavin Newsom was issuing that stay at home order
- 9:27Speaker 2: and then being at French laundry the same night unmasked.
- 9:31Speaker 2: It's like, man, you are the tom like you.
- 9:34Speaker 3: Know working in TV. I've met and kind of gotten
- 9:37Speaker 3: to know a decent number of like what I would say,
- 9:40Speaker 3: very rich people, people that have more than five million
- 9:42Speaker 3: dollars and they just want to go to a nice restaurant.
- 9:48Speaker 3: It is that is like their entire world is the
- 9:52Speaker 3: good table at a nice place, and it's it was
- 9:55Speaker 3: all that these people. I'm so hard and at the
- 9:57Speaker 3: same names, but it was all these people talked about
- 9:59Speaker 3: during COVID. Oh that's good, and it was yeah, just
- 10:02Speaker 3: kind of funny what people's priorities are when you get rich.
- 10:06Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's nuts.
- 10:07Speaker 3: It has been kind of at least this is affected
- 10:10Speaker 3: mostly the rich, you know.
- 10:12Speaker 2: I brought that up. We did an episode. I mean,
- 10:14Speaker 2: this week's you don't even like this show was also
- 10:17Speaker 2: about the fires, but not the conspiracy theories around them,
- 10:20Speaker 2: and I brought that same thing up. It's not like
- 10:23Speaker 2: not so much with Alta, Dina, but Palisades and Malibu.
- 10:27Speaker 2: It sucks what happened, but that's a lot of people
- 10:30Speaker 2: who they'll at least be able to rebuild.
- 10:33Speaker 3: Yeah, that probably have insurance and fucking all that shit,
- 10:36Speaker 3: you know.
- 10:37Speaker 2: I mean, there are also some people who insurance companies
- 10:40Speaker 2: have refused to renew their policies because of all this,
- 10:44Speaker 2: and those people are fucked and that's a whole different thing.
- 10:48Speaker 3: But at least the wildfire stayed away from Echo Park
- 10:51Speaker 3: and Watts And yeah.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Like it's not burning through south central Los Angeles. I
- 10:56Speaker 2: appreciate that.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Yeah that's nice for one thing.
- 10:59Speaker 2: It would be bare bin down on me if it was,
- 11:02Speaker 2: because I'm way closer to that than I am to
- 11:04Speaker 2: Alta Dina or Palisades.
- 11:06Speaker 3: Yeah like that. People are calling it the socialist wildfires.
- 11:11Speaker 2: So let's talk about these conspiracy theories.
- 11:14Speaker 3: Yes, theories.
- 11:17Speaker 2: One of the most prominent, or the one I found
- 11:21Speaker 2: the first, which it must be the most prominent if
- 11:24Speaker 2: I found it the first. These fires were started by
- 11:27Speaker 2: a directed energy weapon. There are two reasons people are
- 11:32Speaker 2: saying this. One. There was video going around of an
- 11:35Speaker 2: object flying through the skies above the LA fires, and
- 11:41Speaker 2: for the life of me, I cannot imagine what that
- 11:43Speaker 2: object would have been. Surely not a drone operated by
- 11:47Speaker 2: some fuckface who eventually crashed it into one of the
- 11:51Speaker 2: only two useful planes we had for fighting these fires.
- 11:55Speaker 2: Did you hear about that?
- 11:56Speaker 3: Yeah? I did that. Someone hit one of the super
- 11:57Speaker 3: scoopers that goes I love the super Scooper. That's the
- 12:00Speaker 3: coolest part of any fucking wild part.
- 12:01Speaker 2: So cool.
- 12:02Speaker 3: Dru flies out to the ocean, gets way down load,
- 12:05Speaker 3: drops a shoot, scoops up a bunch of water, and
- 12:07Speaker 3: then goes and poops it out on the fire. I mean,
- 12:09Speaker 3: what could be better than that? And some dipshit like
- 12:13Speaker 3: fucking crashes drone and the propeller fucked it all up.
- 12:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we had two of them from Canada that were
- 12:20Speaker 2: helping to fight this fire, and some ass wipe with
- 12:23Speaker 2: a drone crash they're drone into one of them and
- 12:27Speaker 2: put a big asshole in the side of the tank.
- 12:29Speaker 2: And now we only have one of those.
- 12:31Speaker 3: Whatever happened to Hawkham's razor. We never fucking assumed the simplest,
- 12:36Speaker 3: most likely explanation to anything anymore. Everything is the fucking
- 12:40Speaker 3: conspiracy theory. It's it's like, I don't know everyone's playing
- 12:44Speaker 3: our tune now, Adam, Yeah, but they're not. They don't
- 12:46Speaker 3: know the notes. It's like, oh, it couldn't possibly be
- 12:50Speaker 3: one of the hundreds of models of readily available, easy
- 12:53Speaker 3: to fly and use commercial flying machines that exist at
- 12:56Speaker 3: your local fucking target. No, it's a saddle with a
- 13:00Speaker 3: space laser. You fucking what are you fucking stupid?
- 13:04Speaker 2: I can't imagine how many drones were flying over these fires.
- 13:09Speaker 3: Oh of course anybody with the drone was going to
- 13:12Speaker 3: be trying to get, you know, the shot.
- 13:14Speaker 2: So that video is meaningless to me. I haven't even
- 13:17Speaker 2: seen the video, but I don't fucking need to see it.
- 13:19Speaker 2: The other thing people pointed to is all of these
- 13:23Speaker 2: pictures of palm trees looking like they're completely intact and
- 13:28Speaker 2: undamaged while everything burns around them. So people are like, see,
- 13:34Speaker 2: it was a directed energy weapon. No, it's not. Trees
- 13:37Speaker 2: actually survive shit like this all the time. I remember
- 13:42Speaker 2: we talked about the theory that there might have been
- 13:45Speaker 2: like an ancient nuclear war that happened. Yes, yeah, on
- 13:49Speaker 2: one of the very first episodes.
- 13:51Speaker 3: I remember that.
- 13:52Speaker 2: One one of the things people always point to is, well,
- 13:57Speaker 2: there's still structures standing from then. There wouldn't be structure
- 14:01Speaker 2: standing if there was a nuclear blast that went off.
- 14:04Speaker 2: And my push back to that is always look at
- 14:07Speaker 2: those early nuclear weapon tests. You see these explosions happen
- 14:12Speaker 2: and trees just end a little bit and they like
- 14:16Speaker 2: don't even get blown over.
- 14:18Speaker 3: Yeah, And I think in two thousand BC and Mesopotamia.
- 14:21Speaker 3: I don't think they were using like standards stucco and
- 14:24Speaker 3: dry wall for any of this shit. I think it
- 14:27Speaker 3: was more like stone and adobe and like really like
- 14:29Speaker 3: actually durable building materials.
- 14:32Speaker 2: Yeah, stuff that gets harder when it gets hot, you know.
- 14:34Speaker 3: Yeah, Yeah, it's probably made major house better. Oh thank
- 14:37Speaker 3: you you fast fired my house.
- 14:39Speaker 2: And with fires, trees, for one thing, just inherently contain
- 14:45Speaker 2: a lot of moisture, and their bark over the years
- 14:48Speaker 2: has kind of developed or you know, evolved to prepare
- 14:53Speaker 2: for fires.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Yeah. Did you ever try to build a fire with
- 14:57Speaker 3: just like wood you got from like the fucking florest.
- 15:00Speaker 3: It's like it's like wet, it doesn't burn, it pops.
- 15:02Speaker 3: It's like really difficult to get going. Yeah.
- 15:05Speaker 2: Water really is scryptonite. I saw a guy on local
- 15:09Speaker 2: LA news. He saved his house by buying a couple
- 15:14Speaker 2: of those sprinklers you put on your lawn that go
- 15:17Speaker 2: back and forth. And he just put him on his
- 15:19Speaker 2: roof and left and the fire you could see, made
- 15:23Speaker 2: its way to his house and like stopped and fanned
- 15:28Speaker 2: out to the left and right.
- 15:29Speaker 3: I just went around it. Wow.
- 15:31Speaker 2: Yeah, and every house in front of his like down
- 15:34Speaker 2: the canyon was saved because he had those sprinklers on
- 15:38Speaker 2: his roof.
- 15:39Speaker 3: So fucking like, what forty five dollars investment to save
- 15:43Speaker 3: your entire house? What a fucking g.
- 15:45Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, that's I could not believe that fucking story.
- 15:49Speaker 2: So yeah, sometimes trees aren't gonna burn. And then there's
- 15:52Speaker 2: also a ton of videos of trees burning too.
- 15:54Speaker 3: Yeah, and well, in palm trees, like they shed a
- 15:57Speaker 3: layer of skin, you know, those weird like palm tree
- 15:59Speaker 3: like dan like like like a scab that comes off
- 16:02Speaker 3: of them, like they get dry. But I think like
- 16:05Speaker 3: a lot of like the core of them is where
- 16:08Speaker 3: the water is, it's hard to burn. So if there's
- 16:09Speaker 3: not a bunch of dry shit around them to like
- 16:12Speaker 3: act as kindling, I don't like it totally make sense
- 16:14Speaker 3: that a palm tree would be left standing.
- 16:16Speaker 2: Yeah, the thing that would burn would be the canopy.
- 16:19Speaker 3: The stuff way up high and top right, and with a.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Fire like this, the heat is usually at ground level.
- 16:26Speaker 2: There are the ones that are there's videos of some
- 16:28Speaker 2: palm trees burning though, and those just got hit by
- 16:31Speaker 2: fire that was up high enough, probably embers flying.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Yeah, some of those mile mile long embers we were
- 16:38Speaker 3: talking about.
- 16:39Speaker 2: Yeah, those embers bucked people up. That was That's what
- 16:43Speaker 2: really did a lot of people in because again the winds,
- 16:46Speaker 2: that's what makes it so different. So, yeah, trees not
- 16:49Speaker 2: burning is not proof that this was a directed energy weapon.
- 16:54Speaker 2: But there's more to it than that. The thinking isn't
- 16:57Speaker 2: just that they were set deliberately, but there was a
- 17:00Speaker 2: purpose behind it. Here is a quote from a very
- 17:04Speaker 2: coherent social media post. Los Angeles Pacific Palisades is totally
- 17:09Speaker 2: engulfed in flames and very interestingly, LA is positioned to
- 17:14Speaker 2: be an AI smart city by twenty twenty eight. Was
- 17:18Speaker 2: it a targeted dew strike to grab up some more
- 17:22Speaker 2: precious land end quote? So the thinking here is LA
- 17:27Speaker 2: is burning its communities down so it can rebuild them
- 17:31Speaker 2: as smart cities in time for the twenty twenty eight Olympics.
- 17:34Speaker 3: I guess I want to say sincerely that it's the
- 17:37Speaker 3: government is going around burning down billionaires homes and one
- 17:41Speaker 3: of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Los Angeles with a
- 17:44Speaker 3: space laser so they can replace them with sustainable urban
- 17:48Speaker 3: planning and affordable housing. Then, for the first time ever,
- 17:52Speaker 3: Connormspad and says, go the government.
- 17:54Speaker 2: That's actually fine.
- 17:56Speaker 3: You have my fucking backing. You only had eleven cattles too.
- 18:00Speaker 3: You did this shit pretty clean.
- 18:02Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah that I mean, this wouldn't be the most
- 18:05Speaker 2: nefarious conspiracy theory. It's what people want, you know, eat
- 18:09Speaker 2: the rich. Maybe eat is just a metaphorical thing that
- 18:12Speaker 2: means burn their house soon, you know, So when.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Is it a fire eats away at a hillside.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Yeah, so we can put a smart city up. But
- 18:21Speaker 2: also I feel like if this was a thing, there
- 18:24Speaker 2: have to be cheaper ways to turn a city into
- 18:27Speaker 2: a smart city that don't involve burning everything to the
- 18:31Speaker 2: ground and starting over. And also why start in the Palisades.
- 18:36Speaker 3: Yeah, it's not like an urban center. It's all pretty
- 18:39Speaker 3: spread out, you know, it's like it's sort of suburban,
- 18:43Speaker 3: but like just in the with a slightly rural backdrop.
- 18:46Speaker 2: Yeah, there are towns and cities in California already that
- 18:50Speaker 2: could probably just be adapted to that kind of thing.
- 18:54Speaker 2: But yeah, I don't know, A fifteen minute city sounds great.
- 18:57Speaker 3: It does sound great. I do think that if they
- 18:59Speaker 3: were going to do it, sincerely, they might just go
- 19:02Speaker 3: cut down the trees and sell the lumber or use
- 19:04Speaker 3: it or you.
- 19:05Speaker 2: Know, yeah, that would make way more sense.
- 19:08Speaker 3: Although I suppose then you've got to get through the
- 19:10Speaker 3: Pacific Palisades Homeowner Association, which I imagine is like Darth
- 19:14Speaker 3: Vader's fucking conference room.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, that's that's going to be a rich
- 19:19Speaker 2: goddamn room.
- 19:20Speaker 3: That is a fuddy duddy environment.
- 19:22Speaker 2: Yeah. So yeah, the fifteen minute city thing.
- 19:26Speaker 3: Yeah, it's just it's heavy handed, even for the government.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Yeah, and I don't know it's they could just do it,
- 19:33Speaker 2: like the government has no problem taking land. We're gonna
- 19:37Speaker 2: take fucking greenland probably.
- 19:39Speaker 3: Like okay, how does that sound?
- 19:42Speaker 2: I don't notice that excessive system clutter is detected on
- 19:45Speaker 2: my computer. Now I'm self conscious.
- 19:49Speaker 3: I must feel that malware I've been sending you.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Problems trojan horses from the government, and shit.
- 19:54Speaker 3: I gotta say, every time we sit down to do
- 19:56Speaker 3: Conspiracy the Show, and I'm like typing up like my
- 19:59Speaker 3: little notes and jokes, I'm going to say reading the notes,
- 20:02Speaker 3: Adam broke, my computer is never slower than when I'm
- 20:05Speaker 3: doing Conspiracy the Show. Shits. It always is fucking glacially
- 20:10Speaker 3: molasses slow. Every time I'm questioning the floor.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Bed's trying to hold us down. They can't. Speaking of
- 20:18Speaker 2: people he can't hold down, let's talk about Diddy. Diddy,
- 20:22Speaker 2: he's got a lot going on right now.
- 20:23Speaker 3: Or as I call him, Blepstein. No, that's not going
- 20:26Speaker 3: to stick.
- 20:28Speaker 2: He has a whole lot of concerns right now. Chief
- 20:31Speaker 2: among them his home in the Pacific Palisades is at
- 20:35Speaker 2: risk of catching on fire.
- 20:38Speaker 3: It seems the final winner of the freak of was
- 20:41Speaker 3: the flames mister Diddy.
- 20:44Speaker 2: And one of the houses the police raided when he
- 20:49Speaker 2: got charged with sex trafficking was this home in the Palisades.
- 20:53Speaker 2: So that has gotten people to wondering where these fires
- 20:56Speaker 2: set intentionally to destroy evidence in the ditty case. And
- 21:02Speaker 2: I feel like the weirdest part of this is that
- 21:05Speaker 2: this theory is coming from a former HUD official in
- 21:10Speaker 2: the George H. W. Bush administration. So this woman's like
- 21:15Speaker 2: a thousand years old.
- 21:17Speaker 3: And like I've I've read kind of a lot about
- 21:20Speaker 3: Bush and Cheney, I've never heard of this woman. She's
- 21:23Speaker 3: a real zilch, you know, like she's got no name,
- 21:27Speaker 3: no credibility.
- 21:28Speaker 2: Catherine Austin Fitz. She was Assistant Secretary of Housing and
- 21:33Speaker 2: Urban Development, or housing. Okay, if anyone's asking, and this
- 21:39Speaker 2: is her quote on her own podcast, In situations like
- 21:43Speaker 2: the LA fires, I look at patterns. I look at
- 21:46Speaker 2: some of the communities involved, how many of the homeowners
- 21:49Speaker 2: were on the p Diddy list end quote.
- 21:52Speaker 3: Again, it's heavy handed. We're not just trick. If you're
- 21:54Speaker 3: gonna burn down Ditty's house, don't burn down all of
- 21:56Speaker 3: California just to cover Well.
- 21:59Speaker 2: Also, it seems like she's suggesting, well, all these celebrities
- 22:02Speaker 2: lived around, did he, So most of them probably went
- 22:07Speaker 2: to his parties, and some of them are obviously going
- 22:09Speaker 2: to be involved in all the sex trafficking, and so
- 22:12Speaker 2: these fires were set to destroy that evidence. And it's
- 22:15Speaker 2: like they could just destroy the evidence. Why would you
- 22:19Speaker 2: right burn their fucking city down? If any evidence existed
- 22:25Speaker 2: in these houses, it all got burned in a fucking
- 22:28Speaker 2: oil barrel fire the minute this dude went to prison.
- 22:31Speaker 3: Yeah, somebody had dumped some hydrochloric acid out in the
- 22:34Speaker 3: woods and that was that.
- 22:36Speaker 2: Yeah, there's no way anyone's holding on to that shit
- 22:39Speaker 2: just hoping the FBI doesn't show up and find it.
- 22:41Speaker 3: This is yeah, And I got to figure, like, you're
- 22:45Speaker 3: in a situation like this where you have whatever. You're
- 22:48Speaker 3: a rich guy with compromising shit in your house that
- 22:50Speaker 3: lends you to P Diddy. You've installed a big red
- 22:53Speaker 3: button that says burn it that you pressed immediately when
- 22:56Speaker 3: P Diddy was incarcerated.
- 22:58Speaker 2: Yeah, we did an episodisode of the you Don't Even
- 23:02Speaker 2: Like This Band Podcast. I don't know why I didn't
- 23:04Speaker 2: do this on the Conspiracy Pod. But are you familiar
- 23:07Speaker 2: with what's going on with Pras Michelle from.
- 23:10Speaker 3: The fujis No.
- 23:12Speaker 2: He is facing twenty two years in prison on espionage charges. Okay,
- 23:18Speaker 2: and the story is nuts. It starts with him showing
- 23:21Speaker 2: up at the Four Seasons in Manhattan, walking up to
- 23:24Speaker 2: a concierge who he was told to say the word banana.
- 23:28Speaker 3: To eyes wide shuts.
- 23:30Speaker 2: He says the word banana. The guy hands him an
- 23:33Speaker 2: envelope that has instructions that say walk around the block
- 23:36Speaker 2: twice and then come back. He does that and gets
- 23:39Speaker 2: ushered into an elevator and taken to a penthouse where
- 23:44Speaker 2: he meets one of the top officials in the Chinese government.
- 23:47Speaker 2: That's all whoa real shit. Yeah, he basically sold the
- 23:52Speaker 2: photo op with Obama for twelve million dollars, and that's
- 23:55Speaker 2: why he's gonna go.
- 23:57Speaker 3: Okay, yeah, that makes sense. That's that's the kind of
- 23:59Speaker 3: fuck and shit that Proz could get into, all right.
- 24:02Speaker 2: But the reason I bring that up is you mentioned,
- 24:05Speaker 2: you know, the red button you push that actually happened
- 24:09Speaker 2: in this case one of the people involved in it,
- 24:12Speaker 2: who is still a fugitive, I believe when the FED
- 24:15Speaker 2: showed up to raid his apartment in Manhattan, it got
- 24:19Speaker 2: remotely detonated and destroyed, which is the coolest fucking thing
- 24:24Speaker 2: I've ever heard.
- 24:25Speaker 3: Yeah, that is pretty cool to have, like a fucking
- 24:28Speaker 3: shred it, burn it, blow it up button that you can.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Now.
- 24:32Speaker 3: Now, I'm upset that I don't have any incriminating evidence
- 24:35Speaker 3: to uh fun.
- 24:37Speaker 2: Yeah, and I only I mean what, I don't know
- 24:39Speaker 2: what a what kind of budget I have for incriminating evidence.
- 24:43Speaker 2: I just have to put it in one of those
- 24:44Speaker 2: barbasol cans that's actually.
- 24:47Speaker 3: Like hide your weed in. Yeah.
- 24:50Speaker 2: Also, this theory, what are people missing about the FBI
- 24:54Speaker 2: already raided this house, do we think, Yeah, right, raided
- 24:58Speaker 2: the house, and we're like, oh, that incriminat and I
- 25:00Speaker 2: hope this place doesn't burn down before we come back
- 25:03Speaker 2: and get it, Like they took everything. There's nothing in
- 25:06Speaker 2: that house.
- 25:07Speaker 3: That was a huge case. They probably had soon our
- 25:10Speaker 3: imaging and going into the ground to see if anyone
- 25:12Speaker 3: was buried there. Like, I'm sure they went over everything
- 25:14Speaker 3: with a fine tooth fucking comb.
- 25:16Speaker 2: Like a fine tooth combs saw combs.
- 25:21Speaker 3: Uh uh ah. Word play, because say what you will
- 25:24Speaker 3: about the FBI and you know, incarcerating some of our
- 25:27Speaker 3: homies and killing some of our other homies, say they're
- 25:29Speaker 3: pretty meticulous. You got to give them that.
- 25:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I imagine if there was any concern that there
- 25:35Speaker 2: was something in this house in need of saving, the
- 25:38Speaker 2: FBI would just go in and get it. So yeah,
- 25:41Speaker 2: this is another dumb ass theory that makes no goddamn sense.
- 25:45Speaker 2: No one who would have incriminating evidence is just going
- 25:48Speaker 2: to keep it and then burn their entire town down
- 25:52Speaker 2: to hide it. Nuts us.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I think like And also I think part of
- 25:55Speaker 3: like turning our internet take economy into whoever says the
- 25:59Speaker 3: craziest thing wins has maybe not turned out to be
- 26:02Speaker 3: the best moves going forward for news and all. That
- 26:06Speaker 3: shit is not just a munch of no name fucking
- 26:09Speaker 3: Republican barnacles this woman's a fucking barnacle. She's she's like
- 26:15Speaker 3: the ancient Hud, this assistant to the ancient Hud. Never
- 26:19Speaker 3: heard of her before in my goddamn life, and now
- 26:21Speaker 3: she's trying to make a name for herself with this
- 26:23Speaker 3: kaka mami theory, which is what everybody does. Oh yeah,
- 26:26Speaker 3: I'm the guy who fucking blew up with this cockamami theory,
- 26:28Speaker 3: you know.
- 26:29Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, and people will stick with that shit no
- 26:32Speaker 2: matter what. And in this case also, you were also
- 26:37Speaker 2: getting that thing where people just like intentionally misinterpret words
- 26:42Speaker 2: to make it fit their theory. One of Diddy's accusers,
- 26:46Speaker 2: a woman named Ali Carter in October twenty twenty four,
- 26:51Speaker 2: people claim, predicted these fires after saying a lot was
- 26:54Speaker 2: about to come out, there would be another arrest, and
- 26:57Speaker 2: then she says.
- 26:58Speaker 3: This, I'll give it you this sort of weird. It's
- 27:01Speaker 3: sort of weird. But if you think about it for
- 27:03Speaker 3: ten seconds, Yeah, like, it's sort of weird that you
- 27:07Speaker 3: chose a fire analogy, I guess, but.
- 27:10Speaker 2: Yeah, it reminds me of someone at one point tweeted,
- 27:14Speaker 2: Kobe Bryant is going to die in a helicopter crash
- 27:17Speaker 2: someday and They tweeted that because it was well known
- 27:20Speaker 2: that Kobe Bryant commuted to and from.
- 27:23Speaker 3: His helicopter rounds it lived in Orange County. Yeah, went
- 27:26Speaker 3: to it like we were trying to get him on
- 27:28Speaker 3: our show Lights Out with David Spade, but we couldn't
- 27:30Speaker 3: get the helipad things sorted out. We couldn't find a
- 27:32Speaker 3: place for his helicopter.
- 27:33Speaker 2: Oh shit. Yeah, So that like that person was just
- 27:36Speaker 2: like guessing and doing it as a joke in it.
- 27:40Speaker 2: You know, it turned out in this case, this is
- 27:42Speaker 2: what Ali Carter said, watch for those fires. Explosions make
- 27:46Speaker 2: fires too. Explosions make accidental fires too. And then cops,
- 27:51Speaker 2: you don't know how that happened. Then you look into it,
- 27:54Speaker 2: you see that it's tied to something that's tied to
- 27:56Speaker 2: something that's tied to something that's tied to traffic, and
- 28:00Speaker 2: then you realize, oh, it wasn't just an explosion or
- 28:03Speaker 2: a fire. It wasn't an accident. End quote. I don't
- 28:07Speaker 2: think she's actually talking about fires and definitely not wild fires.
- 28:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 28:13Speaker 3: I would love to see the rest of the interview
- 28:15Speaker 3: or the rest of the quote, but it's just it
- 28:18Speaker 3: seems so clear that she's talking about the story breaking
- 28:21Speaker 3: as being the explosion.
- 28:22Speaker 2: Yeah, the Diddy arrest is the explosion, and then the
- 28:26Speaker 2: fires will be the other arrests. That's all she's saying.
- 28:30Speaker 2: She's not saying there's gonna be wild fires in California
- 28:34Speaker 2: if jay Z's gonna get arrested. This isn't gonna stop it.
- 28:37Speaker 3: I know one thing, I'm never gonna ever put things
- 28:40Speaker 3: in terms of an avalanche of evidence for a blizzard
- 28:44Speaker 3: of accusations.
- 28:46Speaker 2: But I mean, if you do, you might get famous.
- 28:48Speaker 3: Or that could be good for the show.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Actually having predicted some shit, nothing wrong with that.
- 28:54Speaker 3: You predict it all the time, you never get famous.
- 28:56Speaker 2: Yeah, that is a goddamn excellent point. All right, this
- 29:00Speaker 2: next one, firefighters Connor are using women's handbags instead of
- 29:05Speaker 2: hoses to fight fires.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Boy, I'm ready to write a Kim Allen.
- 29:09Speaker 2: Bit because a budget cuts.
- 29:12Speaker 3: Yeah that's right, liberal budget cuts.
- 29:17Speaker 2: And for some reason this specifically is Democrats diverted funds
- 29:20Speaker 2: to Ukraine and now la firefighters are using women's handbags
- 29:26Speaker 2: to fight fires because you know how cheap women's handbags are.
- 29:29Speaker 3: Obviously, yeah you don't want to, you know, fuck up,
- 29:32Speaker 3: just like some some bulk canvas material you might get
- 29:35Speaker 3: at a fabriage store for like a large, you know,
- 29:38Speaker 3: gross rate. You want to you want to get like
- 29:40Speaker 3: a like a like a fucking real Dior Louis Vaitton,
- 29:43Speaker 3: something that'll last.
- 29:45Speaker 2: Yeah. I just love that line of thinking, like, well,
- 29:48Speaker 2: I want to I want to make this seem like
- 29:51Speaker 2: a problem, but I also want to make California seem
- 29:53Speaker 2: gay when I spread this theory too.
- 29:57Speaker 3: Yeah, it's this is all this stuff is kind of
- 29:59Speaker 3: cut out for people that hate, you know, like we
- 30:02Speaker 3: want to use California as a scapegoat for why liberalism
- 30:05Speaker 3: is going to fail or whatever, which you will.
- 30:07Speaker 2: But yeah, it's going to fail. It's going to fall
- 30:10Speaker 2: into the ocean for sure. But that's just going to
- 30:12Speaker 2: be Rancho Palace verdes at first and then.
- 30:15Speaker 3: Yeah, and then pretty soon, like Bill Hicks said, where
- 30:17Speaker 3: this is all going to be Arizona Bay beachfront property
- 30:20Speaker 3: for Arizona A very good album. Yeah.
- 30:23Speaker 2: So this video that's going around it actually just shows
- 30:27Speaker 2: firefighters using a regular piece of firefighter equipment because what
- 30:33Speaker 2: they're fighting in this video is I heard it described
- 30:36Speaker 2: as a garbage fire, but it looks like a garden
- 30:38Speaker 2: fire either. Way, what you got to take into account
- 30:41Speaker 2: about California, there's a lot of swimming pools, and a
- 30:45Speaker 2: lot of times if you need to fight a fire
- 30:48Speaker 2: in say a backyard, that pool full of water is
- 30:51Speaker 2: very useful in doing that. So what these firefighters are
- 30:55Speaker 2: doing is actually, I'm guessing, scooping pool water with these
- 31:00Speaker 2: canvas bags and throwing it on this fire. Yeah, it's
- 31:04Speaker 2: just a thing they do because it's quicker than setting
- 31:07Speaker 2: up a hose for a really small.
- 31:09Speaker 3: Fire, and you can use them to tamp the fire out.
- 31:11Speaker 3: I mean everyone is like put out a small fire
- 31:13Speaker 3: with a fucking sheet of something, you know. Yeah, and uh,
- 31:17Speaker 3: it's it's also kind of like, I don't know, I
- 31:19Speaker 3: should call it like ironic, I guess is a word
- 31:22Speaker 3: that all these like right wing bros are like shitting on.
- 31:26Speaker 3: What's literally a part of their kit is tactical equipment,
- 31:30Speaker 3: the whole thing that their whole fucking deal is about.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Guys have velcrow on their fucking going out pants just
- 31:35Speaker 3: because they've gotta be fucking tactical. Man, what if I
- 31:37Speaker 3: need my four thousand lumen flash light when I go
- 31:41Speaker 3: to apple beets?
- 31:43Speaker 2: Yeah, those motherfuckers probably have these bags in their fucking
- 31:47Speaker 2: survival kit.
- 31:49Speaker 3: It's gay when they use them in California though, sorry man,
- 31:52Speaker 3: good so.
- 31:53Speaker 2: Yeah, that video does not show California firefighters using women's handbags.
- 31:59Speaker 2: And again, where would the women's handbags come from? That
- 32:02Speaker 2: would require budget money too, or do our firefighters just
- 32:05Speaker 2: carry women's hand bags? That where you're getting at?
- 32:08Speaker 3: Is there like a firefighter that's like, all right, Barry,
- 32:10Speaker 3: go hit the thrift shops. We need a new run
- 32:12Speaker 3: of bags, kind of getting beat up. Oh man, can
- 32:15Speaker 3: you look for something floral for me?
- 32:19Speaker 2: Well, surely this next one is accurate, though, you know
- 32:23Speaker 2: what would to stop these fires? Connor?
- 32:26Speaker 3: What's that?
- 32:26Speaker 2: Adam more white dudes? Probably this is a DEI failing,
- 32:31Speaker 2: is what it is.
- 32:32Speaker 3: M That makes a lot of sense because three percent
- 32:37Speaker 3: of the firefighters in Los Angeles are female.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Exactly just teaming with DEI hires.
- 32:44Speaker 3: But they've fucked it up so bad they fucked it
- 32:47Speaker 3: up ninety those three percent email firefighters.
- 32:51Speaker 2: Elon Musk has been especially active in spreading this claim.
- 32:56Speaker 3: He's literally doing DEI with his H one BVSA. He's
- 33:01Speaker 3: literally being like, we need more diversity.
- 33:03Speaker 2: But that's to his benefit, so it works out. Yeah,
- 33:07Speaker 2: sorry this He circulated screenshots of the LA Fire Department's
- 33:13Speaker 2: four year old racial equity Action Plan and added the
- 33:17Speaker 2: caption they prioritized dei over saving lives and homes. What
- 33:22Speaker 2: what does that even mean?
- 33:24Speaker 3: I can't imagine that's in the racial equity action plan.
- 33:28Speaker 3: Hire more black people first, before you fight a fucking fire, motherfucker. Yeah.
- 33:34Speaker 2: Yeah, if you don't have a racially diverse firefighting platoon,
- 33:38Speaker 2: that home burns. Sorry.
- 33:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like Ross dressed for less when I worked there
- 33:44Speaker 3: as a teenager, Like you would post shit in the
- 33:47Speaker 3: bulletin board, and if I picked the right in one
- 33:50Speaker 3: of those that could have been, like, well, Ross is
- 33:52Speaker 3: just all about canned food drives for the homeless man.
- 33:57Speaker 3: They put that above selling clothes.
- 33:59Speaker 2: Yeah, and as luck would have it, the current LA
- 34:02Speaker 2: Fire chief is an openly gay woman. Sure, she's also
- 34:07Speaker 2: a twenty two year veteran of the fire department, but
- 34:10Speaker 2: still it's a gag.
- 34:11Speaker 3: Of course, that's why I thought she was kind of cute.
- 34:13Speaker 3: Of course she's gay.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Yeah, so she's definitely a diversity hire from twenty two
- 34:20Speaker 2: years ago. Yeah, and yeah, I just this is a
- 34:25Speaker 2: quote from Charlie Kirk because boy does he deserve to
- 34:29Speaker 2: have his words heard. When you focus your government on diversity, equity, inclusion,
- 34:34Speaker 2: LGBTQ pet projects and you are captured by environmentalists. We've
- 34:39Speaker 2: been warning for years that you are worried about abstractions,
- 34:45Speaker 2: but you can't do the basic stuff. End quote captured.
- 34:49Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers used that word recently on the Pat McAfee show.
- 34:53Speaker 2: Aaron Rodgers is such a right wing fuck face.
- 34:56Speaker 3: I mean, I would agree that we do like a
- 34:59Speaker 3: word ourselves with abstractions when we can't do basic things,
- 35:03Speaker 3: but everything else is pretty Uh. I don't know these
- 35:07Speaker 3: these people. These people are so transparent, like they're trying
- 35:09Speaker 3: to gin up that fucking feeling of being cheated in
- 35:14Speaker 3: people so that they can follow them. You know. Look,
- 35:17Speaker 3: actually it's the white guy getting fucked. I just found
- 35:19Speaker 3: out about it ten minutes ago. We got to do something.
- 35:22Speaker 2: And this is such standard operating procedure for right wingers now.
- 35:26Speaker 2: Anytime anything even sort of tragic happens in a state
- 35:32Speaker 2: that is even sort of controlled by Democrats. Yeah, DEI
- 35:38Speaker 2: is the reason it happened. When the fucking door blew
- 35:42Speaker 2: off that Boeing plane. Fox News asked if it was
- 35:46Speaker 2: maybe because of.
- 35:47Speaker 3: The well and with a lot of these issues, like
- 35:50Speaker 3: ninety nine out of one hundred times, it's not that
- 35:53Speaker 3: like white people are getting fucked, it's that poor people
- 35:56Speaker 3: are getting fucked. Yes, and you and now I have
- 36:00Speaker 3: convinced you that it's white people. Well, you've missed the
- 36:02Speaker 3: point entirely and will do nothing productive to change it. Yep,
- 36:05Speaker 3: you bought back in on capitalism and the whole fucking thing.
- 36:08Speaker 2: You know, And imagine with that Boeing thing, blaming DEI
- 36:14Speaker 2: and not just blaming Boeing. A whistle blower shot himself
- 36:19Speaker 2: in the parking lot of his motel over that shit, Like,
- 36:23Speaker 2: we know why that door blew off that Boeing plane.
- 36:26Speaker 2: It's not DEI hires. It's because they are hiring too
- 36:31Speaker 2: many people with not enough people to oversee them. It's
- 36:34Speaker 2: pretty fucking simple. And also because they're hiring gay women.
- 36:38Speaker 3: So just a budget touch an apathy all the way down. Huh.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Yeah, it's just dog whistle bullshit. Laura Ingraham has been
- 36:47Speaker 2: especially active pushing this on Fox News.
- 36:51Speaker 3: We shouldn't say that Ingraham, we should call her Ingraham,
- 36:54Speaker 3: No Ingram Ingraham.
- 36:56Speaker 2: Oh is that? Yeah? I don't even know how you
- 36:58Speaker 2: pronounce her fucking name? Is it Ingram?
- 37:00Speaker 3: I've heard Ingram, but maybe I'm wrong on the internet.
- 37:02Speaker 3: Just when you said Ingraham, I was like, yeah, fuck you,
- 37:04Speaker 3: your name's Ingraham now, stupid bitch.
- 37:07Speaker 2: Yeah, don't have that A in the middle. It's not
- 37:10Speaker 2: what you put that for you thy Yeah, you don't
- 37:12Speaker 2: want me to say it, don't put it there.
- 37:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's not the only thing about you that's got
- 37:15Speaker 3: two a's your fucking bra Laura. I don't know. Maybe
- 37:20Speaker 3: she's got big t's. I have no idea. I don't
- 37:21Speaker 3: know what she looks like.
- 37:22Speaker 2: Who knows. Mel Gibson talk about him.
- 37:26Speaker 3: Oh this is good. Yeah, we've got to talk about mouse.
- 37:29Speaker 2: His name has popped up in all this, and shockingly,
- 37:33Speaker 2: it's not because of Jewish space lasers.
- 37:37Speaker 3: Yeah shots really shockingly.
- 37:39Speaker 2: He was on The Ingraham Angle on Friday night to
- 37:43Speaker 2: talk about the idea that these fires were set on purpose. Why.
- 37:47Speaker 2: He'll tell you why. Here goes. California has a lot
- 37:50Speaker 2: of problems that sort of baffle the mind as far
- 37:53Speaker 2: as why they do things, and then in the events
- 37:55Speaker 2: like this, you sort of think, well, is it on purpose?
- 37:58Speaker 2: It's an insane thing to think, but one begins to
- 38:02Speaker 2: ponder whether or not there is a purpose in mind.
- 38:05Speaker 2: I can make all kinds of horrible theories up in
- 38:07Speaker 2: my head, conspiracy theories and everything else, but it just
- 38:10Speaker 2: seemed a little convenient end quote. I trust no one
- 38:14Speaker 2: needs any further explanation than that.
- 38:16Speaker 3: I mean, I would have thought that the first climate
- 38:18Speaker 3: refugee of global warming and climate change would be mel Gibson.
- 38:23Speaker 3: I thought it was going to be some Eskimo who's
- 38:25Speaker 3: fucking house melted or some shit.
- 38:26Speaker 2: Nope, Mel Gibson. He did lose his house in this fire,
- 38:31Speaker 2: and that really speaks to what I'm saying about this
- 38:35Speaker 2: hitting a lot of rich people. He's very nonchalant about it.
- 38:38Speaker 2: He's like, I don't have my shit anymore. Yeah, I'm
- 38:41Speaker 2: Mel Gibson. It's fine and it will be fine. But
- 38:44Speaker 2: he also asked if people were commissioned to start these fires.
- 38:48Speaker 3: I'm sorry, I keep looking at this quote, and it
- 38:50Speaker 3: makes less sense the more I read it.
- 38:53Speaker 2: Yeah, he's really just saying. What's crazy about it is
- 38:57Speaker 2: that he's getting a national television platform.
- 39:00Speaker 3: Yeah to say this like conflicted, confusing, probably like subtly
- 39:04Speaker 3: racist thing.
- 39:06Speaker 2: Yeah, there's like nothing behind this theory. He's just like, well,
- 39:10Speaker 2: I hate Democrats, so.
- 39:12Speaker 3: He's sort of just going like, shit's weird. Man. I
- 39:14Speaker 3: don't know, it could be anything, man.
- 39:17Speaker 2: And again, I mean, aside from building smart cities, if
- 39:21Speaker 2: Democrats were going to start fires, why would they do
- 39:24Speaker 2: it in California? Like, there's other states that I think
- 39:27Speaker 2: we would burn down first.
- 39:29Speaker 3: Zone's got a lot of beautiful for us. We could
- 39:31Speaker 3: totally burn. Yeah.
- 39:33Speaker 2: Well, I mean we can send hurricanes and things. I
- 39:35Speaker 2: don't know if we can get one to Arizona, but
- 39:37Speaker 2: you know, yeah.
- 39:37Speaker 3: The government, the government has a hurricane gun.
- 39:40Speaker 2: Yeah, we control the weather. That's why Kamala Harris won
- 39:43Speaker 2: because Democrats sent that hurricane to all the Republican leaning
- 39:47Speaker 2: areas in the American Southwest to sway the election. Nice trilibs.
- 39:54Speaker 3: I like to imagine sometimes people are kind of like
- 39:56Speaker 3: tuning in and out of the show, and they they
- 39:58Speaker 3: don't really register one we're being so sarcastic or not,
- 40:02Speaker 3: and they're like, oh shit, I didn't even if Adam says, well,
- 40:04Speaker 3: maybe they did.
- 40:06Speaker 2: Yeah, that's got to be happening out there, and I'm sorry,
- 40:08Speaker 2: I'm sorry.
- 40:09Speaker 3: Yeah I do it a lot more than you, So
- 40:12Speaker 3: I'm sure I've gotten responsible for more misinformation.
- 40:16Speaker 2: So the last one that I want to talk about,
- 40:20Speaker 2: I feel like Gavin Newsom has enough working against him
- 40:23Speaker 2: that you shouldn't have to make shit up to criticize him.
- 40:27Speaker 3: So many of these people, if you just took the
- 40:29Speaker 3: actual quotes and the actual effects, it's plenty.
- 40:32Speaker 2: Yeah, But also I don't know if that's completely what's
- 40:35Speaker 2: happening here. What happened after these fires started, Trump went
- 40:39Speaker 2: on Fucking Truth social and called out Gavin Newsom, saying he,
- 40:45Speaker 2: among other things, quote, refused to sign the water restoration
- 40:48Speaker 2: declaration put before him that would have allowed millions of
- 40:52Speaker 2: gallons of water to float daily into many parts of
- 40:56Speaker 2: California end quote. And the pushback for Newsom's office was
- 41:01Speaker 2: that there is no such document as the water restoration Declaration.
- 41:06Speaker 2: They said that is pure fiction, and a local news
- 41:09Speaker 2: outlet also mentioned that since Newsom has been in office,
- 41:12Speaker 2: there has not been legislation that would do what Trump
- 41:16Speaker 2: is describing, and that's sort of true. But all he's
- 41:20Speaker 2: referring to is a twenty nineteen proposal by the Trump
- 41:25Speaker 2: administration that would have redirected water from the Sacramento San
- 41:30Speaker 2: Joaquin River Delta to Central Valley farms and southern California
- 41:35Speaker 2: urban areas, and there ended up being lawsuits filed over
- 41:40Speaker 2: it by officials in California and by environmental groups because
- 41:46Speaker 2: it was going to impact a fish called the smelt.
- 41:50Speaker 2: You ever ate smelt?
- 41:52Speaker 3: Unfortunately, I've never had a smelt. I never had a smelt.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Melt smelt is it's sort of I mean in terms
- 41:59Speaker 2: of size, it's it's like an anchovy or a sardine
- 42:02Speaker 2: in size, and it's They fuck with them in Spain
- 42:08Speaker 2: a lot. But I've also heard it's like poor people
- 42:10Speaker 2: food in Spain. But it's just like a really small fish.
- 42:15Speaker 2: Usually fry it, bred it and fry it, and then
- 42:18Speaker 2: you can just eat it whole. The bones are like
- 42:20Speaker 2: so soft you just eat the.
- 42:22Speaker 3: Whole thing, so like a soft shell crab. Gross.
- 42:26Speaker 2: Yeah. Oh it's actually pretty pretty fucking delicious.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Oh really it's good. Okay.
- 42:31Speaker 2: People didn't want to be without them, apparently, I've never
- 42:34Speaker 2: seen one in California. You could get it at grocery stores.
- 42:38Speaker 2: In the Midwest where I grew up, it was a
- 42:40Speaker 2: very common thing. But all these lawsuits were filed over
- 42:44Speaker 2: this plan and it got shut down.
- 42:47Speaker 3: I do kind of love that Trump was like, it's
- 42:48Speaker 3: a stupid fish. Nobody likes the fish. The fish is bad,
- 42:52Speaker 3: very bad, salty fish.
- 42:54Speaker 2: And the thing is that's probably what he's referring to.
- 42:58Speaker 2: So to say that nothing like this ever existed isn't
- 43:01Speaker 2: completely accurate. But in December, Biden and Gavin Newsom signed
- 43:07Speaker 2: off on new regulations that do the exact same thing.
- 43:11Speaker 2: They divert water to the same places you would think,
- 43:15Speaker 2: except without the environmental concerns. But no, this, if I'm
- 43:20Speaker 2: reading it correctly, is just going to kill salmon instead
- 43:23Speaker 2: of smelt.
- 43:24Speaker 3: Okay, well we got more of those, I guess.
- 43:27Speaker 2: So everyone's lying here. Basically, Gavin Newsom's office isn't being
- 43:32Speaker 2: completely truthful when they say there was never any legislation
- 43:35Speaker 2: like this, and Trump is lying when he says no
- 43:39Speaker 2: plan like this ever got put in place. Granted just
- 43:42Speaker 2: got put in place in December, but that's still before
- 43:45Speaker 2: the fires barely.
- 43:46Speaker 3: I just I do like that we're at a point
- 43:48Speaker 3: with climate change that we're like, look, which do we
- 43:51Speaker 3: like more penguins or the brown bear? We got to decide,
- 43:53Speaker 3: because I mean, it's one of the other gangs.
- 43:56Speaker 2: It really is. And yeah, I don't know. I mean
- 43:59Speaker 2: I like smelt and salmon both, but I eat way
- 44:02Speaker 2: more salmon, So.
- 44:04Speaker 3: Yeah, salmon is I think the class here. I want
- 44:06Speaker 3: to eat this bone in fish, and I think you
- 44:08Speaker 3: lose a lot of people with that.
- 44:10Speaker 2: No, you're not. You don't even taste it. It's like
- 44:13Speaker 2: it's like not even there. It's like not even cartilage
- 44:16Speaker 2: consistency like that, it might not even beat, might as
- 44:20Speaker 2: well not even be a bone.
- 44:21Speaker 3: It's just okay, all right, I fuck with a smell.
- 44:26Speaker 3: You know, I got a little too much autism in
- 44:28Speaker 3: my system for uh, some of this food you're talking
- 44:32Speaker 3: about here, But I am happy for you. Yeah.
- 44:34Speaker 2: Now I got to track down some smelt. Where's that
- 44:36Speaker 2: water getting diverted? To go fucking get me some wildfire smelt.
- 44:41Speaker 3: My old man actually works for the Metropolitan Water District,
- 44:45Speaker 3: dealing with all of this shit his whole life, and
- 44:48Speaker 3: uh documenting rivers and dams and man made lakes and
- 44:51Speaker 3: all the ship and as I understand it, like the
- 44:53Speaker 3: vast lion share majority of California's water comes from the
- 44:57Speaker 3: Colorado River and everything else is just a bunch of like,
- 45:01Speaker 3: you know, we're China Township.
- 45:04Speaker 2: Do you remember when we did the burn Booth episode
- 45:08Speaker 2: in Santa Cruz, Oh yeah, yeah, and one of the
- 45:12Speaker 2: nights before that, or maybe it was the night of
- 45:15Speaker 2: we did a show at a wine.
- 45:17Speaker 3: Bar and it's terrible show if I recall correctly.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Yeah, it's still one of the worst shows I've ever
- 45:22Speaker 2: been a part of. I did my set sitting down
- 45:25Speaker 2: because I just wanted to whenever match the audience's energy.
- 45:30Speaker 2: And at one point I was just like, the fuck
- 45:33Speaker 2: is wrong with you people, And someone sitting like five
- 45:36Speaker 2: feet from me was like, LA steals all our water.
- 45:40Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like we.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Needed to do cool shit.
- 45:42Speaker 3: You know, there's all kinds of signs when you drive
- 45:45Speaker 3: up and down the grape vine, like they took our water,
- 45:49Speaker 3: which they probably I mean, they probably did. I'm not trying.
- 45:51Speaker 3: I shouldn't. I shouldn't use my belittling accents for these
- 45:55Speaker 3: people in this situation. Yeah, but I also was reading
- 45:59Speaker 3: that there's a bunch of private companies that so I
- 46:02Speaker 3: heard fifty seven percent of LA's water is owned by
- 46:04Speaker 3: the wonderful company that makes that like pomegranate juice, which
- 46:07Speaker 3: is owned by a billionaire couple called the Resnicks, and
- 46:10Speaker 3: they actually it's what I read was that they export
- 46:12Speaker 3: drinking water from more agricultural counties like Current County where
- 46:16Speaker 3: Fresnel is down to LA which is is kind of fucked.
- 46:20Speaker 2: Yeah, that is pretty fucking wild. I didn't know any
- 46:22Speaker 2: of that. We should do an episode about.
- 46:24Speaker 3: That, We should, Yeah, I just I kind of blew
- 46:26Speaker 3: my mind as first of all, that pomegranate juice had
- 46:29Speaker 3: that much power. I've never seen anyone drink pomegranate juice
- 46:33Speaker 3: in my life.
- 46:34Speaker 2: Yeah, got that antioxidant power. That's all I know about pomegranates.
- 46:39Speaker 3: Who the fuck even those what antioxidants do?
- 46:43Speaker 2: No clue?
- 46:43Speaker 3: Nobody, not men clue, no clue.
- 46:46Speaker 2: Anti inflammatory, sure, no idea. I don't feel any I
- 46:50Speaker 2: feel fine.
- 46:51Speaker 3: I'm not trying to get inflamed.
- 46:53Speaker 2: So yeah, that for now is I think all of
- 46:58Speaker 2: the conspiracy theories about these wildfires. I'm sure there will
- 47:01Speaker 2: be more.
- 47:02Speaker 3: Yeah, we're kind of early in the in the news cycle,
- 47:06Speaker 3: you know, about a week in.
- 47:08Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't know the cause of most of them yet.
- 47:12Speaker 2: There's I think the cande of fire they determined was arson,
- 47:15Speaker 2: but beyond that, the Palisades fire. All I've heard is
- 47:19Speaker 2: it started in someone's garden, in their backyard, and a
- 47:23Speaker 2: dude like filmed it starting. So that's probably not a
- 47:27Speaker 2: Jewish space laser either.
- 47:28Speaker 3: But well, if a Jewish space if a big star
- 47:31Speaker 3: of David and the sky shot a laser beam into
- 47:33Speaker 3: my gazebo, I would get a camera.
- 47:38Speaker 2: Yeah. The Eaton Canyon fire, I'm sure is a space
- 47:42Speaker 2: laser though, that's the one.
- 47:44Speaker 3: But it's got it's got space laser and all over it.
- 47:46Speaker 2: Well, uh well, obviously keep tabs on this story because
- 47:49Speaker 2: it is unfolding all around the home. Yeah. I would say,
- 47:54Speaker 2: I hope the fires have ended by the time this
- 47:57Speaker 2: goes up, but they have not. This goes up tomorrow.
- 48:00Speaker 2: So barring what would probably be an apocalyptic rainstorm if
- 48:06Speaker 2: it managed to kill all of those fires.
- 48:08Speaker 3: Yeah, unless everybody that knows weather is completely wrong about everything.
- 48:13Speaker 2: Yeah, fucking two thousand and four legend exit polls of
- 48:17Speaker 2: weather just come wrong.
- 48:20Speaker 3: Twenty sixteen exit poles of weather.
- 48:23Speaker 2: So yeah, keep keep me and Connor in your thoughts
- 48:27Speaker 2: because and I mean the rest of la too, but like.
- 48:30Speaker 3: Especially, yeah, we can give us those thoughts.
- 48:34Speaker 2: Yeah, obviously, gives us first and then.
- 48:37Speaker 3: Distribute because it's women and children first.
- 48:40Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, well us then women and children first, and
- 48:43Speaker 2: then I.
- 48:43Speaker 3: Was referring to myself as a woman or a child, but.
- 48:47Speaker 2: I guess that makes sense too, so uh, Connor, thank
- 48:50Speaker 2: you for doing the pod, as always.
- 48:53Speaker 3: Thank you for having me. Do we do?
- 48:56Speaker 2: Do we have anything to plug this? This does legitimately
- 48:59Speaker 2: feel like a weird time to plug shit.
- 49:01Speaker 3: Yeah, it is a very weird time to say that
- 49:03Speaker 3: you should watch my comedy special jokes about fucking on YouTube,
- 49:07Speaker 3: and I feel even more uncomfortable frankly recommending the hilarious
- 49:11Speaker 3: comedy stylings of myself, Keith Carry, Tom Goss and the
- 49:13Speaker 3: Mean Boys podcast. Yeah, but you know I'm gonna power
- 49:16Speaker 3: through anyway because I abot the brand.
- 49:19Speaker 2: I definitely would not say that a solo podcast for
- 49:24Speaker 2: me might be what people need at a time like this,
- 49:27Speaker 2: But just in case, my solo pod in broad Daylight.
- 49:30Speaker 2: We'll be back this Friday, So go listen to that.
- 49:33Speaker 2: And that's it. Let's get the fuck out of here.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Connors say goodbye, goodbye everybody. Goodbye everybody. We love you.
- 50:00Speaker 3: Kept contin
