- 0:37Speaker 5: Thank you.
- 0:41Speaker 2: Wait, who are you thinking?
- 0:42Speaker 4: Jeez?
- 0:43Speaker 2: Yes, the big man upstairs, thank you, John Tyson Tyson Chicken,
- 0:49Speaker 2: the big man downstairs?
- 0:51Speaker 4: Who that is?
- 0:52Speaker 3: Oh?
- 0:53Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, what on earth?
- 0:55Speaker 3: So my weekend and I try to focus on spending
- 0:59Speaker 3: time with my when we did up on my phone away.
- 1:01Speaker 3: Sometimes that's tough, though, But we're in the middle of
- 1:03Speaker 3: a coaching search, and when.
- 1:06Speaker 2: You mean we, you mean like your team and you're
- 1:09Speaker 2: just watching what they're doing.
- 1:10Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I was a little more than watching, but I wasn't
- 1:12Speaker 3: as involved as some people. Give me a credit fork
- 1:15Speaker 3: because I was having conversations with folks and passing things along.
- 1:18Speaker 3: But I definitely was not a part of being a
- 1:22Speaker 3: part of the board of trustees and convincing people or
- 1:25Speaker 3: money or any of that. So, but I was involved
- 1:30Speaker 3: in like certain coaches asking me questions.
- 1:33Speaker 2: At all, did you throw out names of coaches, like, hey,
- 1:36Speaker 2: did you guys think of no guy?
- 1:38Speaker 4: Absolutely not.
- 1:40Speaker 3: And I also don't want to put anybody's name into
- 1:43Speaker 3: the situation to say that they wanted something, because it
- 1:47Speaker 3: would like make them not look good at home where
- 1:50Speaker 3: they are now.
- 1:50Speaker 4: Oh you know what I mean.
- 1:52Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I got to So there was definitely communication
- 1:54Speaker 3: with some folks at me and I was just like
- 1:56Speaker 3: I wasn't even a middleman.
- 1:57Speaker 4: I was like a third of a man. But yeah, yeah,
- 2:00Speaker 4: it was a whole process.
- 2:01Speaker 3: I thought initially that we were going to get Chris Beard,
- 2:06Speaker 3: and I think that this is just me speculating this part.
- 2:10Speaker 3: I think that everyone thought we were getting Chris Beard,
- 2:13Speaker 3: and then something happened alongst the way. I think all
- 2:16Speaker 3: Mistress camp and said, we have we make a lot
- 2:18Speaker 3: of money now and we were really smart with our
- 2:20Speaker 3: new ad and in il and fine, so we're just
- 2:24Speaker 3: gonna offer Chris Beard an even a bigger deal. And
- 2:26Speaker 3: I think that's what happened, and he was like, all right,
- 2:28Speaker 3: I'll chill. That's what I think. I think there was
- 2:30Speaker 3: a little issue too, if I'm speculating. I think there
- 2:33Speaker 3: was a little issue with some folks about his history.
- 2:38Speaker 3: But I don't think it would have kept kept him
- 2:40Speaker 3: from getting the job. I think it would have been
- 2:41Speaker 3: a hurdle. You know, he got in trouble at Texas,
- 2:43Speaker 3: he got fired. I thought it was gonna be Chris Beard,
- 2:47Speaker 3: and then all of a sudden it wasn't, and then
- 2:50Speaker 3: all Miss offers him money. I think it was a
- 2:52Speaker 3: bit of both the school There are a couple of
- 2:54Speaker 3: people that were a little hesitant, and the schools like
- 2:56Speaker 3: we'll give you this. And I don't think this is
- 2:58Speaker 3: all speculation on my part. From right this second on,
- 3:01Speaker 3: I don't think Beard wanted to go through the well,
- 3:05Speaker 3: I'm gonna just sit here and not say anything and
- 3:07Speaker 3: see if it works out. When all Miss is already
- 3:10Speaker 3: offering him a better package and there was a chance
- 3:11Speaker 3: of it not to work out at Arkansas, Does that
- 3:14Speaker 3: make sense? Mm hmm, So okay, that happens. I thought
- 3:17Speaker 3: it was gonna be will Wade. After that, I really
- 3:20Speaker 3: thought it was gonna be will Wade, and I was.
- 3:21Speaker 4: I was down.
- 3:23Speaker 3: Like Will Wade's forty one, people love Will Wade unless
- 3:26Speaker 3: you play against him, and I hated him, but that's
- 3:28Speaker 3: why I wanted him. I thought it was awesome, like
- 3:30Speaker 3: cal party in my head wasn't even this wasn't even
- 3:32Speaker 3: a thing in my head right on Saturday morning, and
- 3:37Speaker 3: so I thought it was gonna be Will Wade, and
- 3:40Speaker 3: I think most people thought it was gonna be will Wade.
- 3:42Speaker 3: The only issue there was he has a couple of
- 3:44Speaker 3: recruiting violations. He still cannot like there's some like you
- 3:47Speaker 3: can't do some off camp.
- 3:48Speaker 4: It doesn't matter.
- 3:49Speaker 3: Will Wade's gonna be a stud anywhere he goes. So
- 3:51Speaker 3: that follows him for like twenty five. Wow, so twenty
- 3:54Speaker 3: five but nothing crazy like can't do some off campus
- 3:58Speaker 3: recruiting type stuff. If it wasn't for what happened, I
- 4:02Speaker 3: was totally down and had voiced my support for will Wade,
- 4:07Speaker 3: he'd have been awesome. He's gonna be awesome wherever he goes.
- 4:10Speaker 3: He just got He was just ahead of the game.
- 4:11Speaker 3: He was an Ilen before an Illen. And don't forget
- 4:13Speaker 3: Bill self just had better lawyers, same crape. Well, Wade
- 4:17Speaker 3: just didn't.
- 4:19Speaker 2: So then that's Saturday morning.
- 4:22Speaker 3: I yeah, Saturday afternoon, I don't believe it. When the
- 4:26Speaker 3: first person out here go hey, I think they're talking
- 4:28Speaker 3: to Calipari.
- 4:30Speaker 4: So you get a text message or what.
- 4:32Speaker 3: No, I got a call because no one wants to
- 4:34Speaker 3: put anything in writing, which is weird. It's not weird,
- 4:37Speaker 3: it's just weird to be a part of that because
- 4:38Speaker 3: I was never a part of that.
- 4:40Speaker 4: I got a call going can you talk?
- 4:44Speaker 3: And I was like yeah, And I got the call
- 4:46Speaker 3: and it's like, hey, I think like I just didn't
- 4:50Speaker 3: believe it, so to me, it wasn't even a thing.
- 4:51Speaker 3: There are a lot of things get floated out to
- 4:54Speaker 3: make money in other places. So I was just like,
- 5:00Speaker 3: wonder who it's going to be? Still will Wade, I
- 5:02Speaker 3: thought probably. Then it was like, maybe it'll be Jans
- 5:06Speaker 3: at Missippi State, who I like, he was really good
- 5:09Speaker 3: at New Mexico, has turned Missippi State into a solid program.
- 5:15Speaker 3: And then Saturday night I got another call from somebody
- 5:18Speaker 3: who did't know. The first parson goes, have you heard
- 5:19Speaker 3: this Galliparty stuff? And I'm like, there's no way. I
- 5:23Speaker 3: still don't really think it's a thing still though, and
- 5:27Speaker 3: one of my friends who works in media texts me.
- 5:29Speaker 3: He did text me. He was just asking. He goes,
- 5:31Speaker 3: I figure you'll know since you like have some I
- 5:36Speaker 3: just have different kinds of connections. Like I donate. So
- 5:39Speaker 3: I have like the school connections, but they go silent
- 5:42Speaker 3: whenever something starts to get real because they cannot that
- 5:44Speaker 3: they don't want to tell me, but they can't.
- 5:47Speaker 4: But I have like.
- 5:48Speaker 3: Some people that are like other donors in here, and
- 5:51Speaker 3: they'll talk because they're not actually making the decision right,
- 5:55Speaker 3: They're just committing money to stuff. And so I said, well,
- 5:58Speaker 3: I had two people that I would did about a
- 6:00Speaker 3: five out of ten, and what they know not They
- 6:03Speaker 3: were lying, But I've read them both about a five
- 6:05Speaker 3: out of ten. Call and say, Calipari, it's pretty good.
- 6:08Speaker 3: I didn't think it was. I think it was enough
- 6:09Speaker 3: for me to even insinuate it, because.
- 6:11Speaker 4: I still didn't.
- 6:11Speaker 3: I was still like, no way, there's no chance. But
- 6:13Speaker 3: then Sunday morning came about, and I don't know what
- 6:16Speaker 3: time I posted that. You'll be very surprised me. That's
- 6:19Speaker 3: the first time I got, Hey, we think it's gonna
- 6:20Speaker 3: be Calipari. Yeah, I saw that too. What the meme
- 6:23Speaker 3: and I was like, I don't even know what he's
- 6:24Speaker 3: talking about.
- 6:26Speaker 2: Thanks for filling us in.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I posted it like two, I guess like two
- 6:31Speaker 3: on Sunday. Yeah, and I posted it going You'll be
- 6:34Speaker 3: very surprised because it's nobody anybody's talking about, because at
- 6:36Speaker 3: that time Calipari wasn't even in the in the mix
- 6:38Speaker 3: of the coaches they were talking about.
- 6:43Speaker 4: So what I do know is that he's close to
- 6:44Speaker 4: the Tysons, and my.
- 6:48Speaker 2: The Mike Tyson's the Chicken Tyson.
- 6:50Speaker 4: Right.
- 6:51Speaker 3: My understanding is the Tysons weren't super involved financially with
- 6:56Speaker 3: the basketball program on must was there. I'm not sure why,
- 6:59Speaker 3: not even sure how I care what that is, but
- 7:00Speaker 3: I've heard that and that they're close to John Calipari,
- 7:05Speaker 3: and I know John from what I heard, felt insulted
- 7:09Speaker 3: by Kentucky, like being like we go away.
- 7:13Speaker 4: And so.
- 7:15Speaker 3: Again, my understanding was he committed to really financially back it,
- 7:24Speaker 3: and he has the finance. Yeah, yeah, crazy money. There's
- 7:27Speaker 3: lots of chickens. They got to raise prices though, like
- 7:31Speaker 3: I saw thighs went up like a dollar.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Yeah, oh yeah, I'm struggling to my chicken.
- 7:34Speaker 3: Business just Tyson's gotta charge more for their chicken.
- 7:39Speaker 2: Yes, a lot.
- 7:40Speaker 3: So then when people started so then I knew that
- 7:43Speaker 3: it was at least in the mix at like two
- 7:46Speaker 3: or whatever. And they were like, there's a really good chance.
- 7:49Speaker 3: So the Matt Jones, who were I went on radio show,
- 7:52Speaker 3: You'll be over here in a minute. He texted me
- 7:53Speaker 3: and and you know, Matt and I have known each
- 7:55Speaker 3: other for a long time, but I was like, you
- 7:57Speaker 3: cannot repeat any of this from me. You can't even
- 7:59Speaker 3: say you know this. I'm just gonna tell you this
- 8:01Speaker 3: that you have some context. Because he's getting hit up
- 8:03Speaker 3: about four five o'clock and he goes, cal PARTI is
- 8:06Speaker 3: not nobody from Kentucky or Calipari said anything that this
- 8:08Speaker 3: is true at all, And I say, the connection here
- 8:11Speaker 3: is this, this is what I know, this is what
- 8:14Speaker 3: I don't know, but this is why I think it's true.
- 8:17Speaker 3: And so it was true, and it started to pop
- 8:19Speaker 3: and pop and pop. It went from he's the number
- 8:21Speaker 3: one target to he's now the guy, to he's hired,
- 8:25Speaker 3: to he's hired.
- 8:25Speaker 4: And he gets a five million ANIL budget immediately.
- 8:28Speaker 3: So that's to me where the real win is not
- 8:30Speaker 3: just making the splash with calib par He's sixty five
- 8:32Speaker 3: years old. What's it gonna give you seven years? It's
- 8:35Speaker 3: that ye don't look that old. It's that he has
- 8:39Speaker 3: five million, but he's signed a five year deal.
- 8:41Speaker 2: We can get some players.
- 8:43Speaker 3: It's one of the biggest anile budgets open in ile
- 8:46Speaker 3: budgets anywhere. Yeah, and so those two combined, there is
- 8:52Speaker 3: no better. I mean, there's there's no better circum There's
- 8:57Speaker 3: nothing better that could happen.
- 8:58Speaker 2: Dude, he's not gonna leave Kentucky. He to just go
- 9:01Speaker 2: to another school and just coach for a few more years. Dude,
- 9:03Speaker 2: he's here to win, baby, and he's here to win.
- 9:08Speaker 3: And he's going to be trying to prove a point
- 9:12Speaker 3: in conference. Arkansas goes to rupt next year, we go
- 9:15Speaker 3: play them like he's gonna Like I made an analogy
- 9:19Speaker 3: last night. It's like, whenever you know, you get.
- 9:23Speaker 4: Well, we're not girls, but we could be eating boys,
- 9:26Speaker 4: boys or girls.
- 9:26Speaker 3: Whatever. You break up so you get in real good
- 9:28Speaker 3: shape afterwards, just to prove, like, look how I am
- 9:31Speaker 3: like ex girlfriend body. Like Calipart's about to go full
- 9:34Speaker 3: ex girlfriend body and he's got the.
- 9:36Speaker 4: Money to do it.
- 9:37Speaker 2: And he already looks good.
- 9:38Speaker 3: But you know, but it's not even about literal his
- 9:41Speaker 3: body though, you know, I mean right right right, So
- 9:44Speaker 3: that's what it was, and I can't believe it.
- 9:46Speaker 4: I can't believe it it happened.
- 9:49Speaker 3: No, not yet, but people were going hard on Hunter
- 9:51Speaker 3: your check all weekend, like what a losery? He bumbled
- 9:54Speaker 3: another one? And I never felt like it was bumbled
- 9:56Speaker 3: because I always felt like it was Beard and then
- 9:59Speaker 3: it wasn't. But then I thought it was Wade, and
- 10:01Speaker 3: I thought, well, there'll be some people that need to
- 10:03Speaker 3: be convinced, but Wade, it's gonna be awesome. And so
- 10:06Speaker 3: I didn't feel like it was bumbled in and it
- 10:08Speaker 3: was way to me until it was Calipari. So I
- 10:10Speaker 3: never felt like it was being bumbled Everybody.
- 10:12Speaker 6: Do you think Coach Musk elevated your program to like
- 10:16Speaker 6: like before Muss right, we.
- 10:18Speaker 3: Had we had like fifteen years of so we were
- 10:21Speaker 3: extremely legit up until the mid nineties.
- 10:24Speaker 4: Then we were not legit until Mike Anderson.
- 10:28Speaker 3: Had a couple of blips who was no one's assistant
- 10:30Speaker 3: but really not no consistency, and then must legitimized us
- 10:34Speaker 3: again on a national stage.
- 10:35Speaker 6: So for sure, So now you got to try to
- 10:37Speaker 6: keep that. And then obviously Calipari is keep it.
- 10:39Speaker 2: We're trying to keep it and all the way.
- 10:41Speaker 4: That's what I meant, Yeah, go all the way.
- 10:44Speaker 3: I also think that if I'm must and I'm at
- 10:46Speaker 3: usc and I think he's happy to be back home.
- 10:48Speaker 4: In southern California, but he's like, I'm on a buck
- 10:50Speaker 4: and I l budget.
- 10:51Speaker 2: What the crack where was that when I was there?
- 10:53Speaker 3: Right?
- 10:54Speaker 6: And you have to be a little bit like, dang,
- 10:55Speaker 6: they got Cali PARTI like, you know, yeah, a little
- 10:58Speaker 6: bit like I like.
- 10:59Speaker 4: Looking at it.
- 10:59Speaker 3: It's like, look know, you're ex dating somebody a lot
- 11:01Speaker 3: hotter than a lot richer.
- 11:03Speaker 2: But that's also cool to look back and be like
- 11:04Speaker 2: they needed somebody big to fill my shoes. That's cool.
- 11:08Speaker 4: I think I was like that it the other way. Yeah,
- 11:09Speaker 4: they went, they would pack all that money from us,
- 11:11Speaker 4: and they gave him all the and ile budget. And
- 11:12Speaker 4: I was over there.
- 11:13Speaker 3: I got to two of Lee days and I was
- 11:14Speaker 3: sweet sixteen with like better than scraps but like bloney sandwiches.
- 11:19Speaker 4: But I'm excited. Yeah, it's a home run.
- 11:23Speaker 6: Higher does any of his recent struggles concern you at all.
- 11:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like.
- 11:32Speaker 3: He has in his one and done's. He even admitted
- 11:36Speaker 3: this year after the tournament he has to stop doing that.
- 11:39Speaker 3: I think this last year really showed him he can't
- 11:41Speaker 3: do that because they're planning against grown men like they
- 11:43Speaker 3: could be by Oakland.
- 11:44Speaker 4: What was it is that Oakland? Yeah, and he was like,
- 11:47Speaker 4: we're playing twenty three year olds.
- 11:49Speaker 3: Sure a freshman And it was the first time he
- 11:50Speaker 3: had ever said out loud, I've got to readdress the
- 11:54Speaker 3: strategy of the freshman. So I do think he learned
- 11:57Speaker 3: a hard lesson and we get to charge that to Kentucky.
- 12:00Speaker 4: I I can put that on the Kentucky bill. Yeah
- 12:01Speaker 4: that lay learn the lessons.
- 12:03Speaker 2: They paid for that.
- 12:04Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, Yeah, he's gonna He's gonna come out PI.
- 12:06Speaker 4: We don't.
- 12:06Speaker 3: We only have two players in our team right now,
- 12:08Speaker 3: one one scholarship kind of want to walk on.
- 12:10Speaker 4: That doesn't mean that a lot of his recruits aren't coming.
- 12:12Speaker 3: But everybody jumped in the portal whenever must that he's out,
- 12:16Speaker 3: everybody jumped in the portal. I don't blame him because
- 12:18Speaker 3: portal doesn't mean you have to go, but it does
- 12:20Speaker 3: let you at least start looking. So if a new
- 12:22Speaker 3: coach comes in it doesn't want you, at least you're
- 12:23Speaker 3: ahead of it. Yeah, so maybe some of those kids
- 12:25Speaker 3: come back a couple of then maybe none of them do.
- 12:27Speaker 4: I'm sure a lot of the kids that must recruited.
- 12:29Speaker 4: It's not must, but Calipari recruit are gonna come.
- 12:31Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 12:31Speaker 6: I was gonna say they had a five star already
- 12:32Speaker 6: entered the portal this morning.
- 12:33Speaker 4: Yeah, at the center. I think five star that Calipari had. Yeah,
- 12:37Speaker 4: and jumped in the portal. So hopefully they'll come dark
- 12:39Speaker 4: and they film on you guys.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Yeah I went there.
- 12:42Speaker 4: Yeah it say, agad, they have film on you went
- 12:44Speaker 4: too much exit. They want to recruit you.
- 12:46Speaker 2: They kind of saw what we were up that.
- 12:47Speaker 4: That's such a dumb thing to say that. I know
- 12:49Speaker 4: you meant, but yeah, that dude. You know what they
- 12:51Speaker 4: need to do.
- 12:51Speaker 2: They need to take a picture of Calipari and the
- 12:52Speaker 2: two players right now as the team, just like you
- 12:54Speaker 2: know that school picture, like and then you put twenty
- 12:58Speaker 2: twenty three two tho twenty four.
- 12:59Speaker 4: Who wants I'm going.
- 13:02Speaker 3: I'm flying to Fait Built today. I'm doing something tonight.
- 13:05Speaker 3: There's an award that I'm getting in. Then I'm there
- 13:07Speaker 3: for a couple of days, like teaching, and I'm gonna
- 13:10Speaker 3: go work out with DJ and the softball team and
- 13:12Speaker 3: and I text Hunter this morning and I've been like,
- 13:15Speaker 3: let me get twenty minutes, coach Kyle?
- 13:17Speaker 2: Is he there already?
- 13:17Speaker 4: Is that?
- 13:18Speaker 2: How quick that works?
- 13:19Speaker 1: Like?
- 13:19Speaker 3: How does that press conference allow to be today or tomorrow?
- 13:20Speaker 3: Probaby tomorrow? But I haven't heard anything about it. I
- 13:24Speaker 3: don't know if I get it, but I gotta imagine
- 13:27Speaker 3: that everybody's asking for time.
- 13:30Speaker 4: But let's just say donation goes down. If I don't
- 13:33Speaker 4: just say.
- 13:35Speaker 3: That's all, let's say let's say I Pat Forty is donating,
- 13:37Speaker 3: you know, if he gets any time. I don't know
- 13:39Speaker 3: if Pat Forty does basketball. But yeah, it's cool.
- 13:42Speaker 4: It's cool.
- 13:43Speaker 3: That's the national story too. Like mostly I just come
- 13:44Speaker 3: on Talk Arkansas. It's very selfish in me, but I
- 13:47Speaker 3: try not to do it a lot on the show
- 13:48Speaker 3: this morning because I was like, you know, nobody cares.
- 13:50Speaker 2: You kept you cool.
- 13:51Speaker 3: And then a caller called and I was like, don't
- 13:53Speaker 3: mind it, but dude, all right, let's do the tittle tattle.
- 14:05Speaker 6: After breaking all of the men's viewing records on ESPN.
- 14:08Speaker 6: Was there any part of you that was more excited
- 14:10Speaker 6: to watch Iowa over South Carolina over Yukon and Purdue.
- 14:15Speaker 3: If I didn't have a lot of money on Purdue,
- 14:18Speaker 3: the answer would be yes, because it's just South Carolina.
- 14:23Speaker 4: I don't watch a lot of women's basketball.
- 14:24Speaker 3: I've watched more in the past two years than I
- 14:26Speaker 3: ever have in my life except for Arkansas basketball.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I would watch. But Kaylen Clark, she just shoots it
- 14:34Speaker 4: all the time.
- 14:34Speaker 3: It's crazy how she's just And then South Carolina was unfeated,
- 14:39Speaker 3: which is always cool. It was also fun to watch
- 14:42Speaker 3: her play Yukon. That was a moving screen. It was
- 14:44Speaker 3: by far movie It was the most moving up screen.
- 14:47Speaker 4: Was the right call. There's a movie screen.
- 14:50Speaker 3: So but you can tell, like even me, I'm a
- 14:53Speaker 3: little like, yeah, I thought it was cool, good for
- 14:55Speaker 3: women's basketball. I thought when they put all three of
- 14:57Speaker 3: the Yukon ladies on to be that second channel watching
- 15:01Speaker 3: the game, and then they were kind of, uh, you know,
- 15:03Speaker 3: hate not Kitlyn Clark a little bit.
- 15:05Speaker 4: It's three women from Yukon. What do you expect?
- 15:07Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what they're supposed to do.
- 15:09Speaker 3: But no, they're not supposed to supposed to be unbiased,
- 15:11Speaker 3: but one was wearing a Yukon jacket.
- 15:13Speaker 2: It was hard to be unbiased.
- 15:14Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 15:14Speaker 3: So yes, yes, if they didn't have money on it,
- 15:21Speaker 3: probably would have been more interested in the women's Honestly,
- 15:23Speaker 3: the storylines going into tonight are Will Hurley one other championship.
- 15:27Speaker 3: There's no chance Hurley goes to Kentucky. I say that,
- 15:29Speaker 3: but there's no chance, especially if he wants another one.
- 15:31Speaker 3: God damn, it was right over the deed to the
- 15:34Speaker 3: state of Connecticut to him. Yeah, but great for women's
- 15:38Speaker 3: basketball whatever.
- 15:40Speaker 7: I mean.
- 15:40Speaker 3: Haters about Kently Clark going to the WNBA though, they're like, yoh,
- 15:42Speaker 3: she's about to play.
- 15:43Speaker 4: Grown women, yeah Tarasi.
- 15:44Speaker 3: Yeah, but but they weren't saying that about other women
- 15:48Speaker 3: from the from college going to the w NBA.
- 15:51Speaker 4: Yeah. It was a kind of annoying and they were winning. Yeah,
- 15:55Speaker 4: you know.
- 15:55Speaker 3: Yeah, and also somebody ESPN should have not put three
- 15:59Speaker 3: Yukon and they had.
- 16:01Speaker 6: I know that Saday gets on there for a little bit,
- 16:02Speaker 6: but not the whole time, right, correct, Well.
- 16:04Speaker 4: He was on there.
- 16:05Speaker 3: Well he's like celebrity Iowa fan, but also he's like
- 16:08Speaker 3: is he like Chiefs fan.
- 16:09Speaker 4: Yeah, I was gonna say he's a Kisa City, Like,
- 16:11Speaker 4: how did?
- 16:11Speaker 3: I don't know, but yeah, I need to win tonight
- 16:15Speaker 3: because I bet them. I bought them in our Calcutta
- 16:19Speaker 3: And if they win, end up winning like a thousand bucks,
- 16:21Speaker 3: that'd be nice. I've already won like five hundred, so
- 16:24Speaker 3: I don't lose it. But if they win, I win
- 16:26Speaker 3: another bit of money.
- 16:27Speaker 4: Nice. That should be pretty cool. Yeah, all right.
- 16:29Speaker 6: Next question, following Cali Perry leaving Kentucky, who do you
- 16:31Speaker 6: think will replace him?
- 16:33Speaker 4: Natos would be so legit. I love Natoates.
- 16:37Speaker 3: I think when I looked at DraftKings, he was the favorite.
- 16:41Speaker 3: I think Natos would be a home run. And Matt
- 16:46Speaker 3: Jones talks about this, We talked about so I don't
- 16:48Speaker 3: want to steal too much of that thunder, but anybody
- 16:52Speaker 3: that's not Natos or Billy Donovan because I don't think
- 16:57Speaker 3: Jay Wright's coming back, because I think Jay Wright got
- 16:59Speaker 3: out because he didn't like what college basketball had become,
- 17:03Speaker 3: not that he wasn't successful in killing it.
- 17:05Speaker 4: He was, and I don't think. I don't know. I'd
- 17:08Speaker 4: love Rick Patino. That'd be hilarious. He does his one
- 17:11Speaker 4: year at Saint John's that'd be hilarious. I mean, Nato
- 17:14Speaker 4: is just probably like.
- 17:17Speaker 3: The dude and Billy Donod maybe the dude that they'd
- 17:19Speaker 3: be so universally accepting if this is awesome, and other
- 17:22Speaker 3: fans would also say, if that's awesome for them, But
- 17:24Speaker 3: if we got to like Scott Drew Baylor.
- 17:27Speaker 4: You'd go, Okay, that's pretty good. Kind of boring though.
- 17:32Speaker 4: You think they need like a big, big name, do
- 17:36Speaker 4: I they need it?
- 17:37Speaker 3: No. I think it works out for them better because
- 17:39Speaker 3: they're the most high profile them in Kansas and you
- 17:42Speaker 3: know they're.
- 17:42Speaker 4: A blue blood. It really helps them when they do.
- 17:45Speaker 3: Calipari has been there for fifteen sixteen years, and he's
- 17:47Speaker 3: been flashy Calipar, you know. I mean Tuby Smith wasn't flashy.
- 17:51Speaker 3: Billy Gilepsi, Gilepsi was not didn't have a good run there,
- 17:55Speaker 3: So I think it helps when it is. I think
- 17:58Speaker 3: Nato would be the home run higher. Imagine you go
- 17:59Speaker 3: the on four and the sc school and then you leave. Yeah, crazy,
- 18:03Speaker 3: he's gonna get a raise regardless. Oh yeah, yeah, Alabama's
- 18:06Speaker 3: gonna pay him a bunch more or have to let
- 18:08Speaker 3: him go.
- 18:09Speaker 6: Yeah, next up, all right after beating the Narrative and
- 18:11Speaker 6: reaching the championship game tonight. Do you think Yukon has
- 18:14Speaker 6: more pressure than Purdue.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Sure, but I think they're red. That mean, there their
- 18:20Speaker 3: second year to do this. The were they seven point
- 18:23Speaker 3: six and a half point. I feel like Purdue can
- 18:28Speaker 3: play pretty loose, but I don't think Purdue overall is
- 18:31Speaker 3: as good as you can. But I think Zachi it's
- 18:33Speaker 3: crazy he can't make an IL money. I forgot about
- 18:35Speaker 3: that he's Canadian. I don't make no money.
- 18:38Speaker 2: What he can't make make money and IL money.
- 18:41Speaker 4: Has made none?
- 18:43Speaker 2: What a waste. He'd be so rich right now.
- 18:47Speaker 4: It sucks for him.
- 18:48Speaker 3: I would love Purdue to win. I think Yukon probably wins.
- 18:51Speaker 3: I think Vegas thinks that too. I think Yukon probably
- 18:54Speaker 3: does feel more pressure. But yeah, big teams want the pressure.
- 18:58Speaker 3: They deserve it, they worked hard to get it. But
- 19:00Speaker 3: I would like to say, I'd like, pretty well, yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 3: all right, go ahead.
- 19:03Speaker 4: The last one.
- 19:04Speaker 6: The matchup is here, taking the money out your Calcutta.
- 19:08Speaker 6: You got Connor Purdue?
- 19:10Speaker 4: Do I get? Is that to be points is not
- 19:12Speaker 4: just straight? Yeah? If I were just gonna bet it
- 19:21Speaker 4: pretty do you think you can.
- 19:24Speaker 2: If you gotta take your mind off the money. I
- 19:26Speaker 2: can't separate yourself.
- 19:28Speaker 4: I can't. I can't.
- 19:31Speaker 2: It's almost like you can't even say it too.
- 19:32Speaker 4: I know, I'm not. It's pretty all right. That's it,
- 19:36Speaker 4: all right, there you go. That's Tittletown.
- 19:40Speaker 3: The twenty five Whistles percent about Draft Kings sports book

- 19:50Speaker 3: the action. All right, here we go.
- 19:53Speaker 4: H what did I do? I went to A three
- 19:55Speaker 4: last week?
- 19:57Speaker 3: Yeah, I hit the under and then I hit perdue.
- 20:03Speaker 4: Yeah, but it was it was so it was the
- 20:05Speaker 4: last three minutes.
- 20:07Speaker 2: Oh yeah, man got out of control. Yeah, real quick.
- 20:10Speaker 3: If you want to take the twenty five Whistles parlay,
- 20:12Speaker 3: we'll do it again this week. Check out the Draftking

- 20:22Speaker 3: positive restrictions apply. A gambling problem called one hundred gambler
- 20:25Speaker 3: in New York call eight seven seven eight hope and
- 20:27Speaker 3: wire text ope and y four six seven three six nine,
- 20:32Speaker 3: I got a text during my show. The radio show
- 20:34Speaker 3: was Matt Jones going, hey, can you talk? And so
- 20:37Speaker 3: I went on his show. We just recorded it. So
- 20:40Speaker 3: this is me going on Kentucky Sports Radio KSR with
- 20:43Speaker 3: Matt Jones.
- 20:44Speaker 7: Bunker back Tucky Sports Radio. All right, Bobby Bones, iHeartRadio
- 20:48Speaker 7: personality on every television show in America. And a friend
- 20:52Speaker 7: of mine is here with us, and Bobby's a huge
- 20:54Speaker 7: Arkansas fan. So let's just start with this, Bobby, John
- 20:58Speaker 7: cal Perry coach Arkansas. Make you happy?
- 21:01Speaker 4: Yes, it makes me very happy.
- 21:02Speaker 3: But I think what makes me extremely happy is the
- 21:04Speaker 3: money that they've committed to NIL with John Calipari. I mean,
- 21:08Speaker 3: if we get cal that's awesome. We wanted to splash higher.
- 21:10Speaker 3: Obviously it's all about splash. Then it's you know, substance
- 21:15Speaker 3: after splash. But the fact that they've committed so much
- 21:17Speaker 3: money to NIL with a guy who obviously you know
- 21:20Speaker 3: better than anyone, can can use that money in amazing ways.
- 21:25Speaker 4: Like I'm super pumped today.
- 21:26Speaker 3: I mean, Matt and I were talking last night and
- 21:27Speaker 3: I said, hey, don't say anything I'm saying. I started
- 21:30Speaker 3: to not get texts back about midday yesterday, which means
- 21:36Speaker 3: not that people don't like me, but I have a
- 21:38Speaker 3: pretty good little system up there. I will just say
- 21:41Speaker 3: the high the big dollars, or the people making decisions.
- 21:44Speaker 3: And it's when I stop hearing texts back. It means
- 21:47Speaker 3: they can't tell me for a while more than they
- 21:49Speaker 3: don't want to tell me. And that's when I figured
- 21:52Speaker 3: that the cal stuff was starting to really come to
- 21:55Speaker 3: a head one way or the other.
- 21:57Speaker 7: So that's mid afternoon. So like now that you've had
- 22:00Speaker 7: this morning, I know you had your show, but like,
- 22:03Speaker 7: how do you think it went down? I mean, I
- 22:04Speaker 7: know you don't know for sure, but on the Arkansas side,
- 22:08Speaker 7: how do you think it went down? How'd they end
- 22:09Speaker 7: up with cal Well?
- 22:12Speaker 3: I think we aimed for Chris Beard because we felt
- 22:15Speaker 3: like we were getting Chris Beard, and I think every
- 22:18Speaker 3: indication was Chris Beard was coming to Arkansas and last
- 22:22Speaker 3: minute ole miss Listen. That program has been using their
- 22:25Speaker 3: money very wisely. They've done it in football and basketball.
- 22:28Speaker 3: They made Beard a really great offer and he felt
- 22:31Speaker 3: that he would stay. So then we didn't have Beard.
- 22:33Speaker 3: And I can say that you know, some of the
- 22:34Speaker 3: other candidates that they were talking to and I'll just
- 22:37Speaker 3: name them in the order, so I'm not associating myself
- 22:39Speaker 3: with any of them, but Will Wade or Jans or
- 22:42Speaker 3: you can go down. I was in a bit of
- 22:44Speaker 3: conversation with at least one of them, and it was
- 22:48Speaker 3: going pretty good where everyone kind of thought that one
- 22:51Speaker 3: of those options was going to be it. And my
- 22:54Speaker 3: feeling is that mister Tyson, who has a great relationship
- 22:59Speaker 3: with Coach obviously and so it was Sons. My feeling
- 23:02Speaker 3: is that for the first time in a while, mister
- 23:05Speaker 3: Tyson said, you know, I'm happy to inject some money
- 23:10Speaker 3: into this situation and did and you know, and listen,
- 23:14Speaker 3: cal probably wanted to get out of Kentucky as much
- 23:17Speaker 3: as Kentucky wanted to get out of Cal.
- 23:19Speaker 4: Right, I feel like from.
- 23:20Speaker 7: Do you think the Tyson Chicken guys absolutely?
- 23:23Speaker 3: Absolutely the end, Absolutely, I think Hunter, you're achech did
- 23:29Speaker 3: a great job of feeling after the listen, this is
- 23:32Speaker 3: all speculation, right, speculation from like three different people that
- 23:35Speaker 3: are semi connected, because again they stop texting with me.
- 23:38Speaker 3: So I think that that was the closer. I think
- 23:42Speaker 3: that is a lot of the money. I think that
- 23:45Speaker 3: is at least the backing of if you need it,
- 23:47Speaker 3: I'm here, and that more than has been in the
- 23:50Speaker 3: past with mister Tyson and his sons.
- 23:52Speaker 7: Ever, so that's a big part of it too, right,
- 23:55Speaker 7: is that the Tyson Chicken family, who has not really
- 23:59Speaker 7: been donating in the current Arkansas era, has said, if
- 24:04Speaker 7: you get Cal, we'll start donating. Is that kind of
- 24:07Speaker 7: Is that correct?
- 24:08Speaker 3: I can't say that it's absolutely correct, because again I'm
- 24:11Speaker 3: not in those If I were recreating though that, if
- 24:14Speaker 3: I were rewriting the movie, I would say, yes, that
- 24:16Speaker 3: was That would be a scene that I would write
- 24:17Speaker 3: in going I would go to Cal party and listen.
- 24:21Speaker 3: I don't know, but Coach Cal probably let somebody know, hey,
- 24:26Speaker 3: I'm over here, because I know they started talking on
- 24:28Speaker 3: Friday last week. So in the midst of the Beard situation,
- 24:34Speaker 3: my indicator and I didn't believe it.
- 24:36Speaker 2: Though.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Honestly, when I heard that, I thought it was really
- 24:39Speaker 3: just a bunch of people wanting to create click for Sunday.
- 24:41Speaker 7: You would not be able to get a deal like
- 24:43Speaker 7: that agreed to before Sunday, so Friday would make some sense.
- 24:48Speaker 7: Did you get any indication did Cal.
- 24:50Speaker 3: Go there there was a plane track to Kentucky Way
- 24:57Speaker 3: or before he left, before he left to go where
- 24:59Speaker 3: what was he in Phoenix?
- 25:02Speaker 7: Or was Cal when he was in Phoenix? Yes, he
- 25:05Speaker 7: was in Phoenix for the Thursday night. He was in
- 25:08Speaker 7: Phoenix for the Antonio Reeves thing.
- 25:10Speaker 4: There. I'm just there.
- 25:12Speaker 2: There.
- 25:13Speaker 3: There's some privileged information that I cannot say because I
- 25:16Speaker 3: do not want to get in trouble with friends.
- 25:18Speaker 1: You got it.
- 25:19Speaker 7: We gotta fide somebody to track the plane from Phoenix
- 25:22Speaker 7: to Fayetteville and see if there was one uh, if
- 25:25Speaker 7: there was one there? All right, So you all hated
- 25:28Speaker 7: Cal for a long time.
- 25:30Speaker 4: You hated him.
- 25:30Speaker 7: People get over that quickly. How beloved will he be
- 25:34Speaker 7: when he starts calling the hall?
- 25:36Speaker 3: But you know why we hated him, right because he
- 25:38Speaker 3: was awesome And you guys are freaking Kentucky.
- 25:41Speaker 4: We hated will Wade too.
- 25:42Speaker 3: I'd have loved will Wade at Arkansas and you know,
- 25:44Speaker 3: and for a different reason, but we hate the people
- 25:47Speaker 3: that It's like me being an Arkansas fan, Like I
- 25:50Speaker 3: hate the Texas Longhorns, but it's because they're the big
- 25:53Speaker 3: brother in football like that. I hate Kentucky as a
- 25:55Speaker 3: basketball team, but not because I hate the people individually,
- 25:58Speaker 3: but because for years and years. You guys have pounded
- 26:00Speaker 3: us the same reason I hate Cal. We'd love to
- 26:01Speaker 3: see him, We'd love to see him get ejected. We
- 26:03Speaker 3: played that clip of him gett thrown out of the
- 26:04Speaker 3: game during our games, and you guys beat us in
- 26:06Speaker 3: that game, Like that's how much we hated Col.
- 26:09Speaker 7: So he's there twice, Yeah, and.
- 26:12Speaker 4: Then you beat us.
- 26:14Speaker 3: But he's going to be beloved if he comes and
- 26:17Speaker 3: if he wins. Who I think is probably like a
- 26:19Speaker 3: little irritated, not upset, but a little irritated, is Musk,
- 26:23Speaker 3: because I love Musk. By the way, I hated to
- 26:25Speaker 3: see Must go, but we all knew Musk was going
- 26:26Speaker 3: to go back to California at some point, and all
- 26:28Speaker 3: the domino started to fall once USC took the the
- 26:33Speaker 3: SC coach and you know, I was texting on Must
- 26:35Speaker 3: during the process.
- 26:36Speaker 4: Hated to see him go, but.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Must didn't have the resources that Cal's gonna have, and
- 26:41Speaker 3: Cal's going to have them immediately.
- 26:44Speaker 7: Bobby Bones, thank you very much. Take good care of Cal.
- 26:47Speaker 7: I think this can be a win win for everybody,
- 26:50Speaker 7: So I wish you the bad.
- 26:51Speaker 3: Let me ask you one question, Well, let me ask
- 26:53Speaker 3: you one question, and I know you're probably run out
- 26:55Speaker 3: of time. But do you like Cal as a person?
- 26:59Speaker 3: And second, I've always tried to not fly too close
- 27:04Speaker 3: to the sun. I'm a pretty big donor, I'm a
- 27:05Speaker 3: pretty big an IL guy. But I don't want to
- 27:07Speaker 3: get too close to the program if I don't like
- 27:09Speaker 3: the person, because I don't want to not like the team.
- 27:11Speaker 4: I don't want to.
- 27:11Speaker 3: I don't want to root against any part of what
- 27:13Speaker 3: I love more than anything other than my wife. So
- 27:16Speaker 3: what am I gonna want to be friends or with Cal?
- 27:20Speaker 7: You'll love him. You'll love him. So here's what, here's
- 27:22Speaker 7: how I want to answer your question. For ten years,
- 27:27Speaker 7: I loved Cal as a First of all, I still
- 27:29Speaker 7: think Cal's a great person. Put everything else aside. He's
- 27:32Speaker 7: a great person. You will love it. I don't think
- 27:35Speaker 7: there's any doubt. For ten years he was wonderful to me.
- 27:39Speaker 7: And as I've said many times, I started KSR before Cal,
- 27:43Speaker 7: but he was a big, huge part of taking it
- 27:45Speaker 7: to the next level. I will always owe him for that.
- 27:48Speaker 7: Things changed in the last four years, not just with
- 27:51Speaker 7: me and him, just in general. But if he gets back,
- 27:54Speaker 7: if you get the cow where he is Cal at
- 27:57Speaker 7: his best, which I think you will, you eyes will
- 28:00Speaker 7: love him. He has but he is a he is
- 28:03Speaker 7: a good person with a good heart. And uh, yes,
- 28:07Speaker 7: so do I think To answer your question, do I
- 28:09Speaker 7: think he's a good person?
- 28:10Speaker 5: Yes?
- 28:10Speaker 3: I do?
- 28:10Speaker 1: Are we are?
- 28:11Speaker 7: Were he and I close at the end. I think
- 28:13Speaker 7: it's fairly obvious. The answer was no, do you.
- 28:17Speaker 3: Who is your list of four coaches that you think
- 28:20Speaker 3: you can get and you want?
- 28:23Speaker 7: All right, so can get I don't know want? In
- 28:28Speaker 7: order would be Danny Hurley, No Chance, Billy Donald, Billy Donovan, Natos, Well,
- 28:37Speaker 7: excuse me, let me take this back. Danny Hurley, Jay Wright,
- 28:43Speaker 7: Billy Donovan, Natos from again, other people I would be
- 28:47Speaker 7: satisfied with. But those are the four. If you gave
- 28:51Speaker 7: me one of those four, I'm jumping up and down
- 28:54Speaker 7: for the next week. If you give me one in
- 28:56Speaker 7: the next group, which I think includes Scott Drew and
- 29:00Speaker 7: probably other names that I don't know yet, I'm gonna
- 29:03Speaker 7: be fine with it. But they're gonna have some proving
- 29:05Speaker 7: to do.
- 29:06Speaker 3: I think no chance, Jay Right, no chance Hurley, I
- 29:08Speaker 3: don't think Right wants to coach anymore in this environment,
- 29:11Speaker 3: and hardly no chance he wins another National Championship. Natotes
- 29:14Speaker 3: would be awesome, Like if I were in a Tucky
- 29:16Speaker 3: fan and I got natos.
- 29:17Speaker 7: What served tonight? Yeah, the perfect time to leave is
- 29:21Speaker 7: if you listen, Hey, let us dream a week ago
- 29:23Speaker 7: you thought you were getting to coach at Little Rock,
- 29:25Speaker 7: all right, so let us dream.
- 29:27Speaker 3: No, we did it, and I will not accept that.
- 29:29Speaker 3: But I'm hoping you guys get a really good coach.
- 29:30Speaker 3: I cannot wait to come to RUP and it's it's

- 31:32Speaker 2: just should have been over. Like we're done, Tiger, We're done.
- 31:36Speaker 2: We can't even walk straight.
- 31:39Speaker 4: In the house.
- 31:39Speaker 3: Yeah, and I'm glad he is. I don't care if
- 31:42Speaker 3: he misses the cut or not. It's still excited to see,
- 31:43Speaker 3: you know, it's tigering. I'll probably bet that he makes

- 31:47Speaker 4: But we don't remember when our heroes got bad.
- 31:50Speaker 2: Right because they quit before they got bad.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Michael Jordan playing for the Wizards still played pretty good
- 31:53Speaker 3: and then back. You know, we don't really focus on that.
- 31:56Speaker 2: Bones Michael Jordan could still run up and down the
- 31:58Speaker 2: court like Tiger can't even what He uses the putter
- 32:02Speaker 2: as a crutch, as a cane. It's the saddest thing
- 32:06Speaker 2: I've ever seen. And I love Tiger, and I loved
- 32:08Speaker 2: everything in the sport of golf.

- 32:27Speaker 3: the Genes's Imitational because of illness.
- 32:28Speaker 4: Right, not even fact illness. He was saving it all yeah, yeah, right, Yeah,
- 32:35Speaker 4: that must be really hard for him. He's been training
- 32:37Speaker 4: like crazy. So okay, we'll see what's up.
- 32:40Speaker 2: Is Charlie playing now? I'm ready for I'm ready for Charlie.
- 32:43Speaker 2: Like you know what, Tiger, just give your card to
- 32:46Speaker 2: Charlie and let him play the mass.
- 32:48Speaker 3: I don't think that's how it works. Was it weird
- 32:51Speaker 3: to sign that jersey? Yeah, Zach Moss jersey, It was.
- 32:54Speaker 2: It was weird because I just don't like signing things
- 32:56Speaker 2: that I already signed. Now I felt that kind of
- 32:58Speaker 2: trauma yeah.
- 33:00Speaker 3: He walked in and goes, everybody, will you sign this
- 33:03Speaker 3: Randy Moss jersey?
- 33:05Speaker 4: And I said no. Zach Moss played the Buffalo.
- 33:08Speaker 3: A listener bought it from my eBay page cool and
- 33:11Speaker 3: was like, uh, can you have a band on the show?
- 33:14Speaker 4: Sign it to? And I was like, are you sure?
- 33:15Speaker 2: He's like yeah, So it's Zach Moss and Us show.
- 33:19Speaker 2: All right?
- 33:20Speaker 4: Nice?
- 33:20Speaker 2: So man, there's gonna start being memorabili out there. That's
- 33:23Speaker 2: just like Larry Bird and Eddie.
- 33:25Speaker 4: Because you did that. No one asked Zach.
- 33:27Speaker 2: Moss and Us, hey, are you hungry, like for something sweet?
- 33:34Speaker 4: Did you bake the cakes? I brought the cakes. They're
- 33:36Speaker 4: in the fridge. I'm wanta no sugar, go get them
- 33:38Speaker 4: real quick, right, I'm to go get them. Reid had
- 33:41Speaker 4: to make cakes. Who do you have them for? Okay?
- 33:44Speaker 4: And then the next one will be seven of mic Okay,
- 33:48Speaker 4: I can use some cake right now. Reid's walking off.
- 33:50Speaker 4: He lost a bet.
- 33:51Speaker 2: What's up with your no sugar diet? What's going on
- 33:53Speaker 2: with you?
- 33:56Speaker 4: Nothing? You have to shoot a TV show like June, okay,
- 34:00Speaker 4: late in June, and it's like.
- 34:02Speaker 3: I got on that medication. I put on like fifteen pounds.
- 34:05Speaker 3: I don't even know that's what the medication was doing,
- 34:07Speaker 3: like oc OCD medication. Now I just can't shake it.
- 34:10Speaker 3: And my muscles have gotten big too, but I can't
- 34:13Speaker 3: like I can't fit into my pants, not even my belly,
- 34:15Speaker 3: my button, my freaking quads are so big. And I've
- 34:18Speaker 3: also put on a little weight too. But it's like
- 34:21Speaker 3: I don't like being so thick.
- 34:23Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, because we're still working out hard. Yeah, and
- 34:27Speaker 2: as you're gaining weight that's getting it sucks.
- 34:29Speaker 3: I definitely am like thicker. I don'd rather be thin
- 34:32Speaker 3: and lean. So I'm just gonna just cut sugar. But
- 34:35Speaker 3: I mean I gotta bee of cake.
- 34:37Speaker 2: Kevin say he's doing some a lot of cardio now, yeah.
- 34:41Speaker 6: Last couple of weeks a lot less lifting, more cardio
- 34:43Speaker 6: and home depot bags.
- 34:44Speaker 4: I love it, dude.
- 34:44Speaker 3: Okay, these are handcrafted? Did you bring pictures to document
- 34:47Speaker 3: it than you read? What the heck's on mine?
- 34:50Speaker 4: The South Carolina?
- 34:52Speaker 2: Oh boy, it looks like a game car.
- 34:54Speaker 3: That's hilarious. It looks like the state of South Carolina.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Oh, this is a cute. What's yours?
- 35:01Speaker 2: It's a Dallas Cowboys star with a number four on
- 35:03Speaker 2: it from that, dude.
- 35:05Speaker 4: That's funny. What does that look like? It's a stocky pig.
- 35:10Speaker 2: That's a fat fig.
- 35:12Speaker 4: I thought it was a state of South Carolina.
- 35:14Speaker 2: It's like you have a groundhog had a baby with
- 35:16Speaker 2: a pig, a porkypine.
- 35:18Speaker 4: Good job though, thanks man. It's pretty funny, very cool
- 35:21Speaker 4: dude making go It was good.
- 35:24Speaker 5: I I didn't have any pans or anything like I
- 35:28Speaker 5: thought I did, so I had to go get that stuff.
- 35:29Speaker 4: But did you not? You made this?
- 35:31Speaker 3: There are two layers with a creamy feeling, and you
- 35:34Speaker 3: feel like now you can pull off a cake for sure.
- 35:36Speaker 4: And so you have Mike and Kevin to go. Yeah,
- 35:38Speaker 4: how long did it take?
- 35:39Speaker 1: You?
- 35:39Speaker 4: Read?
- 35:40Speaker 1: Well?
- 35:40Speaker 4: I did both of those together. It took like four hours.
- 35:43Speaker 2: So well, well, thank you.
- 35:44Speaker 4: Good job dude, Good job dude, thanks for letting have Purdue.
- 35:48Speaker 4: We're gonna now you want to trade, I'll take Arizona. Hey, Mike,
- 35:55Speaker 4: what's what are we going to here? The how your
- 35:58Speaker 4: sports team? How much you sacrificed. That's a good segment.
- 36:01Speaker 2: Yea, let's all read the read one too.
- 36:05Speaker 4: In my grillage.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Oh god, this is this is not this is tough.
- 36:12Speaker 4: Okay, here you go. Enjoy.
- 36:14Speaker 3: I want to talk about what you've sacrificed for your
- 36:17Speaker 3: favorite team. And this came up recently with a friend
- 36:20Speaker 3: of mine and we were talking about that. I'm a
- 36:23Speaker 3: big Cubs fan, grew up a die hard Cubs fan,
- 36:26Speaker 3: and they grew up in Chicago, and so in Chicago,
- 36:31Speaker 3: you're either a North Side or a Southsider Cubs fan
- 36:34Speaker 3: or White Sox.
- 36:35Speaker 4: Met a lot of Southsiders, they're local.
- 36:37Speaker 3: If you're a White Sox fan, for the most part,
- 36:40Speaker 3: you're extremely local Chicago because outside the Cubs got really
- 36:45Speaker 3: big nationally because they were on WGNS.
- 36:47Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, that's how a lot of us saw them.
- 36:48Speaker 3: And that's why White Sox fans are mostly in Chicago.
- 36:52Speaker 4: So we're talking and.
- 36:55Speaker 3: We're talking about the most we ever gave up, not financially.
- 37:01Speaker 4: But for our team and being a fan. I have
- 37:04Speaker 4: two of them.
- 37:05Speaker 3: The first time I was ever offered a spot on
- 37:07Speaker 3: the CMA Awards, I think it was on CBS at
- 37:10Speaker 3: the time.
- 37:11Speaker 4: They said, hey, we like for you to come and
- 37:12Speaker 4: present an award and I was like, well, it was
- 37:15Speaker 4: really cool.
- 37:16Speaker 3: I don't elyve be to Nashville for a couple of
- 37:17Speaker 3: few years and I've been trying to get on the show,
- 37:21Speaker 3: not just like be part of the pre show or something.
- 37:24Speaker 3: And the World Cheris went to Game seven and then
- 37:26Speaker 3: gives the Cubs and the Indians, and I, like two
- 37:30Speaker 3: days before, I said, I can't come do the Cmas.
- 37:33Speaker 3: I have to watch Game seven of the World Series.
- 37:36Speaker 3: And so I did not go. I did not hop
- 37:39Speaker 3: on national television. I did not get in the award
- 37:41Speaker 3: show because I wanted to watch the Cubs and the
- 37:43Speaker 3: Indians Game seven. And I stayed home and the Cubs ragined,
- 37:49Speaker 3: delay and like late, and the Cubs ended up winning.
- 37:51Speaker 4: It was awesome.
- 37:52Speaker 3: That's a sacrifice, though, And I remember I thought about
- 37:57Speaker 3: it for just a second. I was like, man, this
- 38:00Speaker 3: my first opportunity. But then I was like, I wait
- 38:02Speaker 3: on my whole freaking life. And I was not even
- 38:05Speaker 3: that old compared to old people who you know, the
- 38:07Speaker 3: Cubs hadn't won a World Series since nineteen oh eight,
- 38:09Speaker 3: hadn't been since nineteen forty five, and so a bit
- 38:12Speaker 3: I felt like I'd have been a like a poser
- 38:14Speaker 3: for all the dead people that never got to see
- 38:16Speaker 3: the Cubs win a World Series too.
- 38:17Speaker 4: And they won. So my first one is I didn't go.
- 38:22Speaker 3: And do a spot on CBS because I had to
- 38:24Speaker 3: watch Game seven and not I just like watch it
- 38:26Speaker 3: on my phone or watch it in the back room before.
- 38:28Speaker 4: You move on.
- 38:29Speaker 2: I don't know if the next one was going to
- 38:30Speaker 2: be Arkansas or whatever, but before you move on with
- 38:31Speaker 2: the Cubs, Like, I'm shocked that you're such a diehard
- 38:34Speaker 2: Cubs fan lifelong and you have pool now you have clout,
- 38:40Speaker 2: but I don't see you taking advantage of that a lot.
- 38:44Speaker 3: So for the Cubs, I got to throw the first
- 38:45Speaker 3: pitch out a couple of years ago. Sure what happened
- 38:47Speaker 3: at the time was and until recently. We were on
- 38:50Speaker 3: in Chicago and the station that was the same format
- 38:55Speaker 3: like Rival whatever, I don't even know who's on it.
- 38:58Speaker 3: They had the Cubs radio rights, and they got real
- 39:01Speaker 3: stupid about, well we can't let them go up and
- 39:05Speaker 3: sing the seventh inning stretch. Well we can't, And so
- 39:08Speaker 3: it just became a little toxic because I was getting
- 39:11Speaker 3: upset and irritated, and so I did not even try anymore,
- 39:15Speaker 3: and I just was a fan and that was cool
- 39:17Speaker 3: by me. Brett Eldridge, one of my best friends, you know,
- 39:23Speaker 3: he's a massive Cups fan, grew up in Paris, Illinois,
- 39:27Speaker 3: and you know he's friends with ROSSI, who's not the
- 39:31Speaker 3: manager anymore, but a lot of those guys, Chris Bryant,
- 39:33Speaker 3: a lot of those guys, and so he was always like, dude,
- 39:36Speaker 3: we can just go do it that way, and I
- 39:37Speaker 3: was like, you know what, I don't want there to
- 39:39Speaker 3: be any weirdness. Yea, So now I think it's different
- 39:43Speaker 3: because we're not like now, I think I could start
- 39:46Speaker 3: to do that, but I did go through the first
- 39:47Speaker 3: pitch out. They've been cool in a lot of ways,
- 39:49Speaker 3: but it just got weird and I didn't want it
- 39:51Speaker 3: to be weird to me be resentful towards something.
- 39:53Speaker 4: I really loved. So it's like the Icarus. If I
- 39:56Speaker 4: too close to the sun, sometimes your wings melt and
- 39:58Speaker 4: you hate it.
- 39:59Speaker 2: I've heard of that.
- 39:59Speaker 4: I didn't want to get too close because I would
- 40:01Speaker 4: get I would have gotten mad, all right.
- 40:02Speaker 3: I've just always wondered it. But yeah, that makes sense, Okah,
- 40:05Speaker 3: I do. Ryan Sandberg does follow me on Instagram. Really
- 40:07Speaker 3: pretty cool? Do you dm the.
- 40:09Speaker 4: Middle a little bit? He's watching American Idol. That's right,
- 40:12Speaker 4: That's why I follow him crazy.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah, he's fighting cancer right now and it's been going
- 40:16Speaker 3: according to his post. And I've messaged him, but I
- 40:19Speaker 3: don't get real into the weeds and be like how
- 40:22Speaker 3: was yesterday, just kind of sending hey man, I saw
- 40:24Speaker 3: this root and for you type stuff. But it seems
- 40:28Speaker 3: to be going in a positive way. But yeah, that
- 40:31Speaker 3: but also to take my stepdad Arkansas Keith like he
- 40:33Speaker 3: had never been to a cups gave. He's a diary
- 40:35Speaker 3: Cubs fan. It's where I get it from. And to
- 40:37Speaker 3: take him and I've taken him to once. It's kind
- 40:40Speaker 3: of broke, but I can finally afford like two Southwest
- 40:43Speaker 3: tickets in two seats. Not totally bad, but middle bad.
- 40:47Speaker 3: We did that and then when I went through it,
- 40:49Speaker 3: the first pitch took him on the field. That's awesome,
- 40:51Speaker 3: And it was awesome. It's really one of the cooler things.
- 40:53Speaker 3: Have you touched the ivy?
- 40:54Speaker 4: Yeah, so I took some. He took some of that
- 40:56Speaker 4: supposed to it, but I took it. Did you plant
- 40:58Speaker 4: some in the household? Now rotted it's all over the house. Yeah,
- 41:02Speaker 4: you had your own wall of ivy.
- 41:03Speaker 2: Because it is invasive, Like you plan a little bit
- 41:06Speaker 2: of that it'll take over.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Your eyes everywhere. My wife's like, what is this ivy
- 41:10Speaker 4: that's going? We can't get it to stop. The other
- 41:13Speaker 4: one was.
- 41:16Speaker 3: Arkansas football was in the SEC championship football game against
- 41:19Speaker 3: Florida and it was in Atlanta, and I broke a
- 41:23Speaker 3: tooth the day before, you likepcorn or something of course,
- 41:30Speaker 3: some stupidly And it wasn't anything that's so big and bad,
- 41:33Speaker 3: but my teeth weren't good. You gotta say, you got
- 41:35Speaker 3: into a fight, dude. It wasn't even like a seed.
- 41:39Speaker 3: It's like a colonel.
- 41:39Speaker 4: It wasn't even a colonel. It probably was a part
- 41:41Speaker 4: of it.
- 41:42Speaker 3: But my tooth shattered and it hurt so bad because
- 41:47Speaker 3: it's one of the big ones mowlers. And it was
- 41:51Speaker 3: either go to the dentist or go to the game.
- 41:56Speaker 4: Come on, that's easy, come on exactly. Nobody wants to
- 41:58Speaker 4: go to the dentist anyway, No, but it hurts so bad.
- 42:02Speaker 3: So I got like five tubes of that numb and
- 42:05Speaker 3: stuff oral jel or orange anything they had freaking went
- 42:10Speaker 3: to Atlanta all time, justly, apply, apply, apply, apply.
- 42:14Speaker 4: And then we got ran.
- 42:15Speaker 3: Yeah, we played well, lost in second half, but that
- 42:19Speaker 3: was t Bow as a freshman.
- 42:21Speaker 6: It's Chris Lee McFadden days for you guys. Yeah, okay,
- 42:25Speaker 6: so and Felix Jones.
- 42:27Speaker 3: I believe so. I remember my mouth hurting the whole time.
- 42:29Speaker 3: My mouth hurt the whole time at the game. It
- 42:31Speaker 3: distracted me from the game a bit because I hurt
- 42:33Speaker 3: so bad. God, dang, I went to that game.
- 42:37Speaker 4: Good you did it? Sucks we lost though that that
- 42:40Speaker 4: was that's a bad point.
- 42:41Speaker 2: But do you regret it?
- 42:42Speaker 4: Yeah? I do now lost lost.
- 42:47Speaker 3: If we have one answer would have been no, like
- 42:49Speaker 3: I don't regret my my CBS miss, Yes we won.
- 42:54Speaker 4: If we lost, heck yeah, I don't see a loss.
- 42:57Speaker 2: That's like my buddy who had saved so much money
- 42:59Speaker 2: to take his son to a Braves game and it
- 43:02Speaker 2: was a playoff game and it was the one where
- 43:03Speaker 2: they maybe they're playing the Indians, I don't remember, but
- 43:06Speaker 2: they lost by like eighteen runs. It was. It was
- 43:10Speaker 2: one of those games where like they didn't score any
- 43:12Speaker 2: and they just got completely destroyed. And that was his
- 43:15Speaker 2: son's first game. And we had say it was so
- 43:18Speaker 2: much money for so long on this game.
- 43:20Speaker 4: And it was so bad. That sucks. Not the same
- 43:23Speaker 4: at all.
- 43:23Speaker 3: But last year when Arkansas was in the NCAA tournament, Me,
- 43:28Speaker 3: my wife, Ben Recked or his wife, we all like
- 43:32Speaker 3: had to move some stuff, get out to Vegas. It's
- 43:34Speaker 3: a far trip. We had to get back right after.
- 43:36Speaker 3: Like we're like, we just ukon just ran us from this.
- 43:39Speaker 4: That tip. Yeah, it's just not good.
- 43:41Speaker 2: That tip.
- 43:43Speaker 4: It was awful. I would not do it again.
- 43:45Speaker 2: I mean, I feel like I've been to I was
- 43:48Speaker 2: at the two Cowboys games where Romo got injured. We
- 43:52Speaker 2: broke the collarbone and the other one. I think it
- 43:54Speaker 2: was like a shoulder injury. Like I'm like, this is terrible.
- 43:56Speaker 2: I got to see the backup both games.
- 43:58Speaker 6: Even when the Patriots say, in the Brady era they
- 44:01Speaker 6: lost like maybe ten home games entire twenty years, right,
- 44:04Speaker 6: and I think I was there for three of them,
- 44:07Speaker 6: four of them, and I'm like, I'm never coming back here.
- 44:09Speaker 4: Yes, and not the same.
- 44:11Speaker 3: But I was at Emmitt Smith's record breaking game against
- 44:15Speaker 3: the Seahawks and when he set the record for yards
- 44:19Speaker 3: or touchdowns whatever the.
- 44:20Speaker 4: Big record was. He broke last and they lost. It
- 44:22Speaker 4: was awful.
- 44:24Speaker 3: And they still put a start in the middle and people
- 44:25Speaker 3: were like, how the sucks.
- 44:26Speaker 2: But he broke the record.
- 44:27Speaker 4: They broke the record, maybe mistouched. That's always awkward though
- 44:29Speaker 4: what it was.
- 44:30Speaker 3: So when I say I missed cmas, I had a
- 44:33Speaker 3: broken tooth, I didn't go to the dentist because I
- 44:35Speaker 3: had to go do my I had to go support.
- 44:38Speaker 4: Where's your sacrifice, Kevin?
- 44:40Speaker 6: I sacrificed the wall one time, a wall in the house.
- 44:44Speaker 6: We had a water leak at the house that I
- 44:46Speaker 6: grew up in, and there was a wine and my
- 44:50Speaker 6: parents had gotten divorced by this time. So it's me
- 44:52Speaker 6: and my dad and my brother living in the house,
- 44:54Speaker 6: all the big fans, right, and so there's no females
- 44:56Speaker 6: in here, nobody to tell us to know there's a
- 44:59Speaker 6: water leak. And on the other side was a big
- 45:01Speaker 6: wall in our kitchen area. Kitchen living room was kind
- 45:03Speaker 6: of like a combination, and we painted that wall, turned
- 45:06Speaker 6: that wall into the game. Four of the four Alcs comeback.
- 45:10Speaker 6: David Ortiz, Dave Roberts steel in the base and it's
- 45:13Speaker 6: the entire wall, the green Monster wall. I have a
- 45:16Speaker 6: picture of it right here and you could see it
- 45:18Speaker 6: and it's the same score, same everything, legit. So we
- 45:22Speaker 6: sacrificed the wall in the house.
- 45:24Speaker 2: That's funny.
- 45:26Speaker 4: I don't understand is the wall gone? Did it flood?
- 45:29Speaker 6: They did on the other side, so we had to
- 45:31Speaker 6: tear down the entire wall and we had to put
- 45:34Speaker 6: all new dry wall up.
- 45:35Speaker 4: And then when you go paint it and we're like, hey,
- 45:37Speaker 4: we got an idea. He also kind of won. Yeah, yeah,
- 45:40Speaker 4: because that wall is awesome. But you let the wall die? Yeah,
- 45:42Speaker 4: I mean, did we start leak on purpose?
- 45:44Speaker 6: Who knows? I don't know that that series it's amazing.
- 45:49Speaker 3: Once in a lifetime, not even as a fan, as
- 45:53Speaker 3: just at this first time that happened though.
- 45:55Speaker 4: Yeah, down three to zero, that's a.
- 45:58Speaker 3: Series're talking about, right, yea, yeahh four they came back
- 46:01Speaker 3: and on four straight against Yankees.
- 46:02Speaker 4: Yep, that doesn't happen.
- 46:05Speaker 3: And hockey it happens occasionally, but like in basketball, NBA
- 46:09Speaker 3: playoffs and baseball never and it gets your heated rival.
- 46:13Speaker 6: I remember the game before I think they won, like
- 46:16Speaker 6: it's like eighteen to something.
- 46:17Speaker 4: They want to say that's the nineteen eight.
- 46:20Speaker 6: They lost nineteen eight and down three to zero, and
- 46:22Speaker 6: then they're down to the final, you know, the bottom
- 46:25Speaker 6: of the nine. Mariano Rivera is pitching. Dave Roberts steels
- 46:28Speaker 6: the base. David Ortiz does what he does.
- 46:29Speaker 4: Against the best closer of all time. Yes, on the
- 46:32Speaker 4: team you hate the most. Yes, four in a row. Yes,
- 46:37Speaker 4: wild Eddie.
- 46:38Speaker 2: I guess I sacrificed just a night like it was
- 46:41Speaker 2: one of the worst nights ever.
- 46:43Speaker 4: My brother.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Okay, So my brother and I we had this great
- 46:45Speaker 2: idea to go to a Cowboys The whole family was
- 46:47Speaker 2: going to go to a Cowboys game. We lived in
- 46:49Speaker 2: Austin at the time. My parents lived in San Antonio.
- 46:52Speaker 2: So we told my dad like, hey, let's get an RV.
- 46:55Speaker 2: Let's get there on Saturday, and we will camp and
- 47:00Speaker 2: we will tailgate all day. Is a three o'clock game,
- 47:02Speaker 2: and me, me and my brother will we'll man. We'll
- 47:05Speaker 2: man the trailer. And so my Dad's like, okay, he
- 47:08Speaker 2: gave us the money to get the trailer. We rented
- 47:10Speaker 2: it and we drove from Austin to Dallas on Saturday
- 47:14Speaker 2: night and I drove the whole time while my brother
- 47:17Speaker 2: drank in the back. It's just us too, and my
- 47:19Speaker 2: parents were going to meet us there on Sunday.
- 47:21Speaker 4: And we get there.
- 47:22Speaker 2: We pull up to Texas State at to Cowboys Stadium,
- 47:25Speaker 2: and we're like, all right, where do we park this thing?
- 47:27Speaker 2: And we see other RVs in this area and there's
- 47:29Speaker 2: a guy at the gate like that that can't come here.
- 47:32Speaker 2: You have a tailgate pass. And we're like, no, I
- 47:34Speaker 2: don't have a tailgate pass nothing. He's like, well, sorry,
- 47:37Speaker 2: you got to get online and try to do that.
- 47:39Speaker 2: So we try to get online nothing. We ended up
- 47:41Speaker 2: paying the guy like one hundred and fifty bucks so
- 47:43Speaker 2: we could pull our r V into the one place
- 47:45Speaker 2: where you park r v's for tails one hundred ft
- 47:48Speaker 2: bus to pan him. So we go in, we find
- 47:51Speaker 2: a spot and my brother we said, we set camp
- 47:55Speaker 2: and there is a party going on, Like, dude, there
- 47:57Speaker 2: are people tailgating on Saturdays.
- 47:59Speaker 4: I didn't know this.
- 48:00Speaker 2: For Sunday three o'clock game and all night they played
- 48:03Speaker 2: Cupid shuffle to the left, to the left, to the right,
- 48:07Speaker 2: to their right all night and I drove, and I
- 48:11Speaker 2: drove the whole way, so I'm like, dude, I got
- 48:13Speaker 2: to go to bed. It was like one in the
- 48:14Speaker 2: morning and they played the music all night. I never
- 48:18Speaker 2: slept it. And again I think it was Cowboys Giants.
- 48:21Speaker 2: Maybe we lost that game.
- 48:22Speaker 4: He's so tired during the game that was already even
- 48:24Speaker 4: watched the game.
- 48:24Speaker 2: I was exhausted, dude, I was exhausted. And my brother
- 48:27Speaker 2: was drinking all night too, so he joined the party
- 48:30Speaker 2: next door.
- 48:30Speaker 4: It was just it was a terrible night. Read do
- 48:33Speaker 4: you have anything like this?
- 48:34Speaker 5: I don't have anything that's not monetary or has to
- 48:38Speaker 5: do with my bank account sacrificing.
- 48:39Speaker 4: What's the most you ever paid for something?
- 48:41Speaker 1: Then?
- 48:41Speaker 4: Where you like, I can't believe I'm doing this. Uh,
- 48:43Speaker 4: probably the last super Bowl. I spent around wait what
- 48:47Speaker 4: the last super Bowl? The one that this one? Yeah, yeah,
- 48:49Speaker 4: this previous super Bowl?
- 48:51Speaker 2: Yeah, the super Bowl because you bet on it?
- 48:53Speaker 4: Yeah? Oh I thought he said he bought tickets and went,
- 48:55Speaker 4: oh no, and Reid doesn't tell us crap. We were
- 49:03Speaker 4: working out yesterday, do you know, Kevin.
- 49:08Speaker 3: So we're working out yesterday and at the end of
- 49:11Speaker 3: the work out, me Eddie, our trainer, Kevin Klug, We're
- 49:14Speaker 3: walking out and Kevin's like, man, how about that Reid's
- 49:17Speaker 3: moving to Memphis?
- 49:19Speaker 4: And I was like, he's not.
- 49:21Speaker 2: And then Bones looks at me and I'm like, I
- 49:23Speaker 2: haven't heard anything about Memphis.
- 49:25Speaker 3: What We're like, like, what do you be maybe he's going,
- 49:28Speaker 3: and we said vacation. We said, there's no freaking way
- 49:32Speaker 3: he would tell our trainer before he would tell.
- 49:35Speaker 2: Us, like the people and look at Kevin's face right now.
- 49:39Speaker 4: The people that he works with, none of that.
- 49:41Speaker 3: The person who hired him and pays him like this.
- 49:46Speaker 4: Is this is reads with me every day every day.
- 49:50Speaker 4: And so we we tell klug, dude, you're an idiot.
- 49:53Speaker 4: What are you talking Forget you're working out with some people,
- 49:55Speaker 4: You're And then we call Reid just messing around And
- 49:59Speaker 4: I was like, Yo, when you move Memphis, well not
- 50:01Speaker 4: for like a year. And I'm like, what, you're moving
- 50:05Speaker 4: to Memphis? Probably?
- 50:08Speaker 5: Yeah, like a year and six months most likely I'm
- 50:11Speaker 5: getting married.
- 50:12Speaker 4: Okay, okay, but you do that. You've never said anything. Yes,
- 50:16Speaker 4: it's not about the move.
- 50:17Speaker 3: That's people have to make difficult decisions for their life
- 50:20Speaker 3: all the time. My wife had moved all across the
- 50:22Speaker 3: country from me, and I have to uh no, I
- 50:26Speaker 3: do most of the same.
- 50:27Speaker 4: I'm pretty ucky in that way. I still keep the
- 50:29Speaker 4: airway down.
- 50:30Speaker 3: Oh, the dogs don't get to come in the bedroom anymore.
- 50:36Speaker 4: Moving across the.
- 50:37Speaker 3: Yes, so now or even anyway you would think read
- 50:41Speaker 3: would have said to me, Hey, this is starting to
- 50:44Speaker 3: be a conversation point. I'm just letting you know in
- 50:49Speaker 3: case or if said nothing to anybody. Yeah, both those
- 50:52Speaker 3: kinds because it ain't our business. Sure, but he got
- 50:54Speaker 3: He goes.
- 50:55Speaker 4: To, when did you tell Kluge?
- 50:58Speaker 5: So I was shoot in some video content for him
- 51:01Speaker 5: after they were working out, and he was talking about
- 51:04Speaker 5: his startup and his business and stuff like that. I
- 51:06Speaker 5: told him I'll most likely be in Memphis in like
- 51:08Speaker 5: a year and six months.
- 51:10Speaker 3: It just comes up, I know, And then I go,
- 51:14Speaker 3: I get it, because you have to make difficult decisions,
- 51:16Speaker 3: especially if you're in a relationship's part of it. But
- 51:22Speaker 3: don't tell somebody that's gonna tell us because that feels
- 51:27Speaker 3: not it doesn't feel as real.
- 51:30Speaker 4: Well, this is how ridiculous it is too like real,
- 51:32Speaker 4: like we did, like we have a very real relationship.
- 51:35Speaker 2: The fact that Kevin Klug told us and then we
- 51:38Speaker 2: were so surprised.
- 51:40Speaker 4: He was like, oh God, oh God, what did I do?
- 51:44Speaker 2: He feels guilty, So even he understands how weird it
- 51:48Speaker 2: is that we don't know that you're gonna move to
- 51:51Speaker 2: Memphis and you didn't tell us.
- 51:53Speaker 4: And not only that, my final point, you tell me
- 51:57Speaker 4: how I should feel. Come on, hired read Love Read.
- 52:04Speaker 4: You know it's already going to a negative place, you
- 52:07Speaker 4: know when it starts there. Let me first say, great guy, but.
- 52:14Speaker 2: He's so nervous right now. Look, he's so nervous.
- 52:18Speaker 4: Read. How long have we worked together? About three and
- 52:23Speaker 4: a half years.
- 52:25Speaker 3: And through that three and a half years we have
- 52:27Speaker 3: built a strong personal relationship and a trust.
- 52:32Speaker 4: Absolutely is in my house all the time he's in.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Yeah, but mostly I have for professional reasons first, because
- 52:39Speaker 3: I didn't know him that well when we first started.
- 52:42Speaker 3: For professional reasons, I invested a lot in him, like, hey,
- 52:45Speaker 3: let me pay for some school. You want to go
- 52:47Speaker 3: to school and learn and pay for some school you
- 52:48Speaker 3: finished that school, I'll pay for it.
- 52:50Speaker 4: Then I'll give you a raise. Hey what if we
- 52:51Speaker 4: learn this? What if you do this?
- 52:53Speaker 3: So it's like a big investment professionally as well. And
- 52:56Speaker 3: if he's out in a year and a half, do
- 53:00Speaker 3: you feel like I should keep investing on the growth
- 53:03Speaker 3: of something that's I'm not going to that's not going
- 53:04Speaker 3: to go as a person. Sure, whatever you need. Eddie
- 53:07Speaker 3: gives like Kidney's like they're freaking candy Kidney you need
- 53:11Speaker 3: like a buddy a friend. But if someone's like out
- 53:17Speaker 3: in twelve, thirteen, sixteen, eighteen months, you know that, do
- 53:20Speaker 3: you invest long term in them anymore? Real question, Eddie Kevin.
- 53:26Speaker 2: I'm going to answer this as someone. I'm going to
- 53:31Speaker 2: answer it like like I'm like, I'm talking to someone
- 53:33Speaker 2: who's just talking about a business.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Bobby, he's not your friend in this not your.
- 53:36Speaker 2: Friend, and Bobby is not the business. No, you don't
- 53:41Speaker 2: invest if you know that something's not going to last
- 53:45Speaker 2: or going to be going to be around your business
- 53:48Speaker 2: for the next year and six months. No, you don't
- 53:50Speaker 2: invest anymore. It stops right now. And it's tough. It's
- 53:54Speaker 2: not that easy. It's not that black and white. Because
- 53:56Speaker 2: you are a friend and you are a good person
- 53:58Speaker 2: and we care about you. But no, you don't do
- 54:02Speaker 2: that in business.
- 54:02Speaker 4: Not in growth.
- 54:03Speaker 3: It's but like, well you still be a part of
- 54:06Speaker 3: the group and still do what he's doing. Now, sure
- 54:08Speaker 3: he does a great job, reads the best, like i'd
- 54:10Speaker 3: probably try to build something. You know, Readings is so good.
- 54:12Speaker 3: We were working, but it's like, now what do I do?
- 54:15Speaker 3: And I feel weird? Not because I feel like the
- 54:19Speaker 3: chief Wolve's.
- 54:19Speaker 4: Been pulled over my eyes. Whatever that saying is. Yeah,
- 54:21Speaker 4: he's kind of stupid saying anyway, because I only get it.
- 54:24Speaker 4: The wool was pulled over your guys? Why do you wear
- 54:26Speaker 4: a wool? Is it a wool? He don't know? And
- 54:28Speaker 4: if you're in the South or like Florida, when do
- 54:31Speaker 4: you ever wear a beanie?
- 54:32Speaker 7: Yeah?
- 54:32Speaker 4: Let that one go with Yeah.
- 54:33Speaker 3: So like everything stays the same, but Kevin, same to you?
- 54:39Speaker 3: Would you continue pumping growth into something that isn't going
- 54:43Speaker 3: to be able to grow with you?
- 54:45Speaker 6: This reminds me of like being in a relationship. I've
- 54:48Speaker 6: done this a few times myself, not saying it's the
- 54:50Speaker 6: healthiest thing, but when you know you don't have a
- 54:52Speaker 6: future there, you slowly be like, eh, I'm not investing
- 54:56Speaker 6: everything anymore. I'm slowly pushing them out, pushing them away.
- 55:00Speaker 6: And then you know that breakup's coming. You don't know
- 55:01Speaker 6: exactly what it's going to be, but in this case,
- 55:03Speaker 6: you do, I guess, and then you start looking for
- 55:05Speaker 6: another another one. What's more opportunity out there? Is there
- 55:08Speaker 6: something better out there? So read love you to death,
- 55:11Speaker 6: love the work that you do. We all do what
- 55:14Speaker 6: we love you. We love I mean, that's going to
- 55:17Speaker 6: be a very very sad day.
- 55:18Speaker 4: Well, that's my deal is like I don't want to leave,
- 55:21Speaker 4: but the question is not should you leave. Yeah, because
- 55:25Speaker 4: you should leave, because you have to leave.
- 55:28Speaker 3: Everything is now bigger than anything you're doing with us.
- 55:31Speaker 3: When you get married, this is it's a priority, but
- 55:36Speaker 3: it's not the priority anymore.
- 55:37Speaker 2: No, man, your future wife is.
- 55:39Speaker 4: It's second.
- 55:40Speaker 3: It's all second. So we're not saying you shouldn't leave.
- 55:43Speaker 3: You should leave if that's what you need to be
- 55:45Speaker 3: with your wife. We're saying one is weird to hear
- 55:48Speaker 3: from our trainer. We're like doing curls read to Memphis.
- 55:52Speaker 2: We sure it didn't bones, dude, Bones almost dropped the
- 55:55Speaker 2: bar on his chest.
- 55:56Speaker 4: Dude, And not because I was so stunny he was leaving,
- 55:58Speaker 4: because I was like, you're an idiot, he's not leaving.
- 56:01Speaker 4: What do you know? That stupid it?
- 56:04Speaker 3: And then turns out he was right right, And so
- 56:08Speaker 3: it's not that it's.
- 56:12Speaker 4: You're going. So what would your expectation be from me.
- 56:17Speaker 3: Professionally, because it's it can't be long term now, but
- 56:22Speaker 3: mid term and even short term.
- 56:26Speaker 5: My thing was, well, first of all, I I kept
- 56:33Speaker 5: a lot of it from you because I didn't have
- 56:35Speaker 5: much details on it.
- 56:37Speaker 4: And you also didn't have to tell me anything.
- 56:38Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure, but you told Cluke in my house
- 56:41Speaker 3: the trainer, the trainer.
- 56:42Speaker 4: That's what we're so offended. Even if you didn't say.
- 56:45Speaker 3: Anything to me for another nine months, I would have
- 56:47Speaker 3: got it, because she'll figure it out, like if.
- 56:48Speaker 6: It was Dawson that you told in Dawson, Actually, that's
- 56:51Speaker 6: all right. It's a best friend and roommate that he
- 56:53Speaker 6: lives with your trainer.
- 56:57Speaker 4: It is with them anyway, go ahead.
- 56:59Speaker 5: I think that's why I Will isn't thinking of it
- 57:01Speaker 5: as a big deal talking to him about it.
- 57:03Speaker 4: But I I.
- 57:04Speaker 5: Did talk to you about potentially having to move when
- 57:08Speaker 5: we were flying to California.
- 57:10Speaker 4: Yeah one day, Yeah.
- 57:12Speaker 3: When your wife, but it was never this time or specifics,
- 57:17Speaker 3: or it was who knows, Kevin may have to move,
- 57:19Speaker 3: Eddie may have to move, have to move some I had.
- 57:21Speaker 3: I've had to move a couple of times. I guess
- 57:24Speaker 3: my I don't have a problem with it. It's we
- 57:26Speaker 3: make jokes and stuff.
- 57:27Speaker 2: Hahaha.
- 57:28Speaker 3: Clue you tell our trainer you don't even really know them,
- 57:30Speaker 3: ha ha. Didn't tell us people were really close to.
- 57:35Speaker 3: It's just on the sense of what do you what
- 57:39Speaker 3: do you want me to do for now on? Because
- 57:41Speaker 3: I'm not looking. I'm looking for me to know you're here,
- 57:42Speaker 3: You're here forever if you ever need anything the rest
- 57:44Speaker 3: of your life personally am here.
- 57:46Speaker 4: Yeah, but what do you want me to do now?
- 57:47Speaker 3: Because again it's hard for me to go, Let's build
- 57:50Speaker 3: this sucker for something we're going to do two years
- 57:52Speaker 3: down the road, for sure this time, if you're you're
- 57:55Speaker 3: jumping out for something you should jump out for for sure.
- 57:58Speaker 5: Well I and I've talked to Maddie a lot about this,
- 58:02Speaker 5: and my ultimate goal in life was to have a
- 58:05Speaker 5: production company and to be able to like branch out
- 58:08Speaker 5: and because I've done audio and video and all these
- 58:10Speaker 5: different things, and I've always wanted to have a team
- 58:13Speaker 5: behind me to where I can kind of outsource people
- 58:16Speaker 5: to do different stuff and like that. So, like my
- 58:18Speaker 5: ultimate goal was to eventually have a production company and
- 58:23Speaker 5: be able to like have you as like the client,
- 58:26Speaker 5: like have like a team that handles all that stuff,
- 58:29Speaker 5: but I still oversee like all the big stuff. And
- 58:32Speaker 5: that's why Memphis was an option, because, like vendor Belt is,
- 58:37Speaker 5: you have to take like a separate test to do
- 58:39Speaker 5: residency there, and you have to for her, for her.
- 58:42Speaker 4: For me, then you should take it. I will, I would,
- 58:45Speaker 4: honestly and I would.
- 58:48Speaker 5: And so Memphis was like the closest like happy medium
- 58:52Speaker 5: to also being close to family and then also me
- 58:56Speaker 5: being able to come up to Nashville. And obviously I know,
- 58:58Speaker 5: like being here every day for podcasts and Bobby casts
- 59:02Speaker 5: and stuff like.
- 59:02Speaker 4: That would be very difficult.
- 59:05Speaker 5: But I have talked to her a lot about like
- 59:08Speaker 5: I was like, I want to make something, like I
- 59:10Speaker 5: don't want to stop working for Bobby, Like I want
- 59:12Speaker 5: to do something, even if it's like like I literally yeah,
- 59:17Speaker 5: for sure, Like I literally would do stuff for free

- 59:25Speaker 4: I want to work for free. I'll pay you obviously,
- 59:32Speaker 4: I gotta.
- 59:32Speaker 5: You know, I got to make a living and stuff
- 59:34Speaker 5: like that, and I was doing freelance stuff and I
- 59:36Speaker 5: was barely getting by but to even get to do
- 59:39Speaker 5: like the too much access stuff. And I will drive here,
- 59:43Speaker 5: I will fly from wherever. I will make it happen.
- 59:46Speaker 4: Why wouldn't I wouldn't even go to Memphis.
- 59:47Speaker 2: I'd go somewhere better. How is this a sure deal?
- 59:51Speaker 5: Like Memphis isn't a sure deals looking at Memphis or
- 59:54Speaker 5: Little Rock and.
- 59:55Speaker 2: Most moving is a sure deal though, Yeah.
- 59:57Speaker 5: Because we'll be getting married not summer but the next around,
- 1:00:01Speaker 5: like June or something like that.
- 1:00:03Speaker 4: When do you think you're leaving? Uh, it will be
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: June of next year, not this year. Yeah, of twenty
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: June of next year. What did you do it a little?
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: If you get Letter Rock, go to Little Rock that's home. Yeah,
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: that's true. Don't be three and a half hours so
- 1:00:17Speaker 4: you can be close to us.
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: It's gonna be difficult to get here anyway, be closer
- 1:00:21Speaker 3: to homeworkhis which is true.
- 1:00:23Speaker 2: It's just better what he was gonna say. It's not
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: it's not just us who else?
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: No, No, I just mean like for me, like as
- 1:00:28Speaker 5: a business and no, but I do have like a
- 1:00:33Speaker 5: lot of friends and connections and stuff here, Like there's
- 1:00:37Speaker 5: a good producer named jakiir King that.
- 1:00:38Speaker 8: Oh you have none except us Kevin cloonee, Kevin Kevin Yes,
- 1:00:44Speaker 8: Kevin klog got to like be there to give us
- 1:00:46Speaker 8: a looj bomb like breaking news read's going to Memphis.
- 1:00:51Speaker 5: But for what I do and for the video and
- 1:00:53Speaker 5: photography side of things, like I don't want to make
- 1:00:56Speaker 5: rap music videos in Memphis or like, you.
- 1:00:59Speaker 4: Know, it feels like you might have to do We're
- 1:01:02Speaker 4: like mom.
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: And pop or rock and roll in Memphis?
- 1:01:05Speaker 4: Right blues? No, both of you? Or opera right right?
- 1:01:11Speaker 4: Or any kind of music? Did anybody sure? Yep, country,
- 1:01:16Speaker 4: there's you can go? Yeah? What say? Yeah the Memphis Grizzlies. Dude, Yeah,
- 1:01:23Speaker 4: that's true, but.
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: I would not make a decision based on you being
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: only kind of far away from us.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: We get back to go home.
- 1:01:29Speaker 5: She was really wanting that too, because her both of
- 1:01:32Speaker 5: her sisters are in Memphis. Oh then great, and her
- 1:01:35Speaker 5: family's only forty five minutes from Memphis.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: Then well, why don't you move like forty five minutes
- 1:01:39Speaker 3: this side of Memphis?
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Yeah, you can, rob trying. That's right in the middle Jackson, Tennessee.
- 1:01:44Speaker 4: Mm hmm. That's what Morgan used to live.
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: He's Mile Island.
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: Violand so what what he said?
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Though, how does that sound to you?
- 1:01:51Speaker 4: That was terrible? Whatever?
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: So much stuff is instantaneous, he knows this.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: We do all the time.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: It's Inintana's quick turnover. Uh, like we have to full
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: time employee. Yeah, but it makes a really good salary
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: and uh. He deserves everything. And I constantly am like,
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: you want do you want to raise and he's like,
- 1:02:08Speaker 3: that would be nice.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: Okay, here's some more money.
- 1:02:10Speaker 3: I could sure use one because he's extremely valuable and
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: so but that a lot of that value is that
- 1:02:17Speaker 3: he's so good and quick and readily available.
- 1:02:22Speaker 4: He would I'll be there in three hours. I'm sending
- 1:02:25Speaker 4: someone over. Well see. But it's also very personal because
- 1:02:29Speaker 4: it read comes to my house.
- 1:02:30Speaker 3: Right, Reid has access to him in locks and inside
- 1:02:33Speaker 3: of stuff. Right, if nobody's here, we can go in
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: the house. Yeah, I just hired him. His name's Trent.
- 1:02:39Speaker 3: I told him where Stanley is? You know that would
- 1:02:43Speaker 3: never happen. And then also I get the feeling too,
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: you tell me if I'm wrong. This production company that
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: read wants to start. Yes, I feel like i'd be
- 1:02:49Speaker 3: asked to like I don't know finance part of it.
- 1:02:54Speaker 4: No, not at all.
- 1:02:55Speaker 5: I would just want you to be like a client,
- 1:02:58Speaker 5: just like main client, the main client.
- 1:03:00Speaker 3: Yeah, but I wouldn't because you wouldn't be here. And
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: if you're I'm having to deal with like people like
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: we I guess that are working around.
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: We have some issues here at the house.
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: And the fits and stuff, and they subcontract that stuff,
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: but they don't like go in the house and hang
- 1:03:13Speaker 3: out and they go in the refrigerator and it's like, hey,
- 1:03:16Speaker 3: are you.
- 1:03:16Speaker 4: Never into the house? Can you go buy and uh,
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: let let the dog out and all that stuff matters.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: That's true. So if you can't let the dog out,
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: you can't be my digital guy. That's my rule. It's
- 1:03:23Speaker 4: always been my rule.
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: Man, Yeah, for as long as I've known him. You
- 1:03:27Speaker 2: can't take the dog out.
- 1:03:28Speaker 4: So when should I start looking for a replacement?
- 1:03:32Speaker 5: I mean, what if what if the guy that you
- 1:03:37Speaker 5: were going to hire to help me? What if I
- 1:03:39Speaker 5: trained him on the things that I do?
- 1:03:43Speaker 4: The guy got to hire soon next whomever that is?
- 1:03:47Speaker 4: May I be a guy? Maybe a girl?
- 1:03:48Speaker 2: That's true. He sexist, Read's twenty twenty four, dude.
- 1:03:54Speaker 4: Maybe I'll get a hot girl and then he ends
- 1:03:55Speaker 4: up cheating.
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: That's your plan, keep.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: Here, Yeah, that's your way.
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: You can keep it.
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: Yeah, And she doesn't even like just hit on him.
- 1:04:03Speaker 3: She has absolutely no idea how to do camera video.
- 1:04:07Speaker 4: But the rules are you got.
- 1:04:08Speaker 6: To cut in.
- 1:04:09Speaker 2: Hey, she's trying to run the camera where he's like
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: behind her les?
- 1:04:15Speaker 4: Why do you want my hands on your hips? We're editing.
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: Good news, bad dude, I'm not getting married. My girlfriend
- 1:04:24Speaker 2: lives here now.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Okay, so well here's what we'll do. That's all we'll
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: do for the next six months. Yeah, it's sad too,
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: because it's like I want to like build I want
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: to like build it for him so he can like
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: build it for us.
- 1:04:44Speaker 4: I can't do that for a second to be here.
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: But for like the next six months, we'll just keep
- 1:04:47Speaker 3: going as normal, you know, nothing change. And then after
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: that we'll have to start formulating a plan. But my
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: idea of hiring somebody hot just to like get him
- 1:04:58Speaker 3: a cheat, that's all.
- 1:05:00Speaker 4: And then we also, like see going to record the
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: cheating so we can send it to her with black mail,
- 1:05:04Speaker 4: no black anymous, there's no black mal anonymous that she needs.
- 1:05:08Speaker 4: She has to see it. So he stays here. But
- 1:05:10Speaker 4: that's how much we love you, man, We love you
- 1:05:13Speaker 4: so much we make you. Yeah, that's gonna be the
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: end of the show.
- 1:05:17Speaker 2: Hey, and props. So you read that this was a
- 1:05:19Speaker 2: lot for you and you handle like a champ.
- 1:05:22Speaker 4: He told Clue, he didn't come here and go I'd
- 1:05:24Speaker 4: like to volunteer this information.
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: I know, but even right now, he had a plan,
- 1:05:27Speaker 2: he had something that he brought to the table, and
- 1:05:29Speaker 2: that's that's a good job.
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: Uh yeah, I didn't tell you just because I was
- 1:05:36Speaker 5: wanting to formulate something, to figure something.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: And here it was, well, we're glad you told Kevin,
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: who you've met three times.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: I love you, dude.
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: And then he told us and we were like, Kevin,
- 1:05:48Speaker 3: you're lying. You're an idiot, and you're stupid and you
- 1:05:50Speaker 3: heard wrong. And then all of a sudden he's like, yeah, that's.
- 1:05:53Speaker 4: True, Kevin. We're sorry, man, We're really sorry. We just
- 1:05:57Speaker 4: can't believe he'd do that. That's the end of this show.
- 1:06:01Speaker 2: All right, many blow the whistle?
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: Where is it?
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: It's around your neck?
