Man Charged After Run Over Death | Washington DC News
A 32-year-old woman, Courtney Yates, was fatally struck and dragged by a vehicle in a Frederick County parking lot after being allegedly followed from a restaurant by 68-year-old Alan Burkhart. Witnesses say Burkhart yelled at her before the crash, claiming she “deserved it.” He’s charged with aggravated involuntary manslaughter and DUI with a prior conviction, denied bond, and faces over 20 years if convicted.
