- 0:09Speaker 1: care what it is confessing. It could be a little secret,
- 0:11Speaker 1: of big secret, funny secret, serious secret. Just call us
- 0:15Speaker 1: okay eight three three seven eight seven one two nine
- 0:18Speaker 1: and you have one.
- 0:19Speaker 2: Okay. So literally, I am about to tell you something
- 0:22Speaker 2: that's knowing in my life. No, it's not a soul,
- 0:25Speaker 2: not my parents, not my friends, no one.
- 0:27Speaker 1: I love this. I love it. Okay, what is it?
- 0:31Speaker 2: So I secretly married my guy best friend?
- 0:36Speaker 1: Oh?
- 0:37Speaker 2: No, one, no, no, there's a reason. So I could
- 0:40Speaker 2: get health in for what So I could get health insurance?
- 0:45Speaker 1: Wait, you married You married your guy best friend for
- 0:51Speaker 1: health insurance for benefits. Yeah, you are literally friends with benefits.
- 1:00Speaker 1: So what do you mean? So you have no romantic
- 1:03Speaker 1: feelings for him, You're not in love with him, you
- 1:05Speaker 1: just married him for the situation.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Yeah, so let me explain. So I was dealing with
- 1:10Speaker 2: some really like big scary medical stuff, nothing I really
- 1:13Speaker 2: want to get into. But I'm still kind of dealing
- 1:16Speaker 2: with it all, just like enough to make you realize
- 1:20Speaker 2: how fast you can fall apart when you don't have coverage,
- 1:24Speaker 2: like you need medications, and like I didn't think I
- 1:26Speaker 2: was going to survive this financially. I mean, I was
- 1:28Speaker 2: really sick. So he offered, like in a half joking
- 1:32Speaker 2: way at first, that we get married and so I
- 1:35Speaker 2: can get on his assurance. And then we both kind
- 1:37Speaker 2: of realized it wasn't a joke at all. So when
- 1:39Speaker 2: like random Tuesday, we went down to the courthouse and
- 1:43Speaker 2: we got legally married, no rings, no photos, just paperwork
- 1:47Speaker 2: and a quiet little agreement.
- 1:49Speaker 1: Wowow married, like officially married, and nobody knows and it
- 1:57Speaker 1: is yes, it is. Yeah, that is a big see.
- 2:01Speaker 2: Yeah, amazing insurance in his work, and like I'm so
- 2:05Speaker 2: happy he did this for me. But like I thought
- 2:07Speaker 2: it was safe at first because he was my best friend,
- 2:10Speaker 2: but like I don't know, I kind of like assumed
- 2:13Speaker 2: it wasn't into me at all or anything. And I
- 2:14Speaker 2: always joke like he might be into guys, but all
- 2:17Speaker 2: of a sudden, I'm not really sure, what do you mean? Well,
- 2:21Speaker 2: like the way he looks at me has changed, and
- 2:24Speaker 2: he like he asks me if I want to move
- 2:25Speaker 2: in to quote save more money. I don't know. He's
- 2:29Speaker 2: just he's.
- 2:31Speaker 1: You think now he's starting to get more like real
- 2:34Speaker 1: feelings for you and not just friends.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Yeah, unless, like I'm wondering, did he have them all
- 2:39Speaker 2: along and how he kind of.
- 2:41Speaker 1: Yes he did. There's no way a guy does well.
- 2:48Speaker 1: There's no way a guy does this who just wants
- 2:51Speaker 1: to be friends. I'm sorry, I know how guys operate. Yeah,
- 2:54Speaker 1: he's got a motive. We're nice, we could be nice.
- 2:57Speaker 3: He wants to save money for what he if she
- 3:00Speaker 3: moves in with him and then they split mills and
- 3:02Speaker 3: then they both save money.
- 3:03Speaker 1: No, he's offering this because it's a way to attach
- 3:06Speaker 1: himself to her, and he's hoping for more than just friends.
- 3:10Speaker 1: I thought that right away, and that's what you're feeling now.
- 3:13Speaker 3: I never even thought that.
- 3:14Speaker 1: Way I did. Well.
- 3:16Speaker 2: I mean, I love him so much, and like I
- 3:18Speaker 2: don't want to lose him or hurt him, and like
- 3:21Speaker 2: I just don't love him in the way that I
- 3:22Speaker 2: think he's starting to love me, and like I don't
- 3:25Speaker 2: want the secret to like explode and take both of
- 3:28Speaker 2: us down with it, you know, right right, Yeah.
- 3:33Speaker 3: There's no world where you would ever like grow to
- 3:36Speaker 3: like him like that.
- 3:37Speaker 2: No, he's like my brother, like oh no, so long,
- 3:43Speaker 2: Like it's never been that way and he's never given
- 3:47Speaker 2: me any indication at all, but all of a sudden,
- 3:49Speaker 2: just the way he's looking at me, like I'm looking back,
- 3:51Speaker 2: and I'm like, I don't I didn't see anything.
- 3:53Speaker 1: I do you know, I think was always there because
- 3:56Speaker 1: there's no way a guy what is in it for him?
- 3:58Speaker 1: And I'm not saying that all guys think like this,
- 4:00Speaker 1: but a lot of men think, like, hey, what does
- 4:02Speaker 1: he get out of marrying you? Besides the fact now
- 4:04Speaker 1: you could take half his stuff and he could take
- 4:07Speaker 1: half yourself. To be fair too, like you're both at risk.
- 4:11Speaker 3: But now he has to agree to get out of
- 4:13Speaker 3: the marriage eventually, because clearly you're not going to literally
- 4:17Speaker 3: be married to him forever.
- 4:18Speaker 1: That's a good question. Do you stay how long do
- 4:20Speaker 1: you plan on staying married? There's so many weird things right,
- 4:22Speaker 1: like is your.
- 4:23Speaker 3: Quiet agreement include well until I pay this off for
- 4:26Speaker 3: like for five years, or I still you know, so
- 4:29Speaker 3: I don't need the insurance?
- 4:30Speaker 1: Yeah, my own and whatever you're dealing with, I hope
- 4:33Speaker 1: you get better and I don't. Don't get me wrong.
- 4:35Speaker 1: I think it's incredibly nice and maybe there is a
- 4:37Speaker 1: guy that's genuinely this nice. Would you do this, pooh?
- 4:40Speaker 1: Would you marry a friend so that she could get
- 4:42Speaker 1: health benefits if she's going through a struggle. I probably would.
- 4:45Speaker 1: There's a couple of girls. I'd probably do that too.
- 4:48Speaker 3: I see him doing that.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Would you always? I wouldn't have an ulterior motive. I said,
- 4:54Speaker 1: a couple of girls, not a lot. I don't think
- 4:57Speaker 1: you would. And I don't think you're a bad guy. Yeah.
- 4:59Speaker 1: By the way, I don't think your man. If Cannas
- 5:01Speaker 1: wasn't married or whatever and she was like, hey, I
- 5:03Speaker 1: need I need a hook.
- 5:04Speaker 2: Up, I need hook her up.
- 5:06Speaker 3: Yeah I know he would.
- 5:07Speaker 1: Yeah, for sure. I mean, I mean you, my boy,
- 5:11Speaker 1: but I don't swing that way. But if you needed
- 5:16Speaker 1: marry me anyway, we'd be like that movie Chuck and Larry.
- 5:20Speaker 1: I do it for I helped Cannas out financially. I
- 5:23Speaker 1: feel like Canis will help you. I'm gonna help you out.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I'm gonna start you to go fundy. I don't know
- 5:32Speaker 1: if we can get married.
- 5:33Speaker 3: It's fine as long as my billets.
- 5:34Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Yeah, right, why complicate that?
- 5:37Speaker 1: That's fair. But I think he did this because offer
- 5:40Speaker 1: financial support it. Maybe we'll think about it. There's a strong,
- 5:45Speaker 1: a strong prenup in place, strong because I might take
- 5:51Speaker 1: half your house, all right, what a great guy. Then
- 5:55Speaker 1: I hope, I hope it works out for the best
- 5:59Speaker 1: for both of you, and I hope you hopefully get
- 6:01Speaker 1: back on track when it comes to your health. And
- 6:04Speaker 1: please let us know what happens, because I don't know
- 6:05Speaker 1: a good way to handle this at this point, like
- 6:08Speaker 1: there's no way out of it, really right, let us know,
- 6:11Speaker 1: but good luck and if anything changes, yeah, call us back.
- 6:15Speaker 2: I will thank you so much.
- 6:17Speaker 1: You're welcome. There. You go, dirty little
