- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex. The
- 0:06Speaker 1: Rex was not chasing the Jeep. Murray! Murray, you there?
- 0:10Speaker 1: You love sandwiches, huh? Let's go to 80. His name
- 0:14Speaker 1: is Bo. Wow. That's prime time, baby. I had a
- 0:18Speaker 1: crush on Betty Rubble. I honestly, until after the segment
- 0:21Speaker 1: ended and we went to commercial break, had no idea
- 0:24Speaker 1: that Jonathan Coachman was black. He cost them the game
- 0:26Speaker 1: last night. Although they won the game. You're listening to
- 0:30Speaker 1: Stugatz & Company. It is Stugatz & Company presented by
- 0:34Speaker 1: FanDuel and the FanDuel Sportsbook. Trey Wingo going to join
- 0:36Speaker 1: us in set two. Jessica Smetana going to join us
- 0:39Speaker 1: as well. Sal doing radio today. I just wanted to
- 0:42Speaker 1: talk ball with my friend Mikey. I kicked Taylor out.
- 0:45Speaker 1: He wanted to talk North Carolina. I didn't want to
- 0:47Speaker 1: talk about North Carolina. He wanted to talk about baseball.
- 0:49Speaker 1: I didn't want to talk about baseball. I wanted to
- 0:51Speaker 1: talk NFL with my friend Mikey. I feel fucking disgusting today, Mikey.
- 0:56Speaker 2: Oh, my God. It is so gross. I got up
- 1:00Speaker 2: at 530 in the morning. I sat on the couch,
- 1:03Speaker 2: and I didn't move all day.
- 1:04Speaker 1: I was so excited. You say goodbye to the family?
- 1:07Speaker 1: I mean.
- 1:08Speaker 2: I say goodbye to them on Wednesday.
- 1:12Speaker 1: That game feels like it was played last season.
- 1:16Speaker 2: My wife kept coming running in because I would just go, fuck!
- 1:20Speaker 2: What happened? I was like, he dropped the ball. I
- 1:24Speaker 2: wanted to see her in one of my fantasy leagues. Yes.
- 1:27Speaker 1: We'll get to the games here in a second. There's
- 1:29Speaker 1: so much stuff going on. It makes me dizzy, man.
- 1:32Speaker 2: I'm serious.
- 1:34Speaker 1: Between fantasy and gambling and in-game betting and all of it.
- 1:38Speaker 1: And just watching football. And it just swallows up college football.
- 1:45Speaker 1: You had a game of the year played the night before.
- 1:48Speaker 1: And no one cares. No one cares about Ohio State
- 1:51Speaker 1: and Texas and Arch Manning's coming out party. Nobody cares.
- 1:55Speaker 1: No one. Because the NFL dominated yesterday. You were upset
- 1:59Speaker 1: at me for picking the Jets. I was 5-1 on
- 2:03Speaker 1: Stu Yagatz, by the way. Feeling pretty good about that.
- 2:06Speaker 2: We'll talk about your college picks a little later then.
- 2:08Speaker 1: What was I? I think I was 3-3, right? Or 2-4?
- 2:11Speaker 2: No, I think you were 2-4.
- 2:13Speaker 1: 2-4 after a 4-1 week, though.
- 2:16Speaker 2: I got you. What have you done for me lately?
- 2:21Speaker 1: You're right. 5-1 is what I did for you lately.
- 2:26Speaker 1: That's what I did. But you were upset at me
- 2:30Speaker 1: for picking our Jets. Me and Mikey are longtime Jet fans.
- 2:33Speaker 1: We'll get to the other games. It was the greatest
- 2:35Speaker 1: week one in the history of the NFL. In fact, Mikey,
- 2:37Speaker 1: put that on the poll. Was week one the greatest
- 2:41Speaker 1: week one in the history of the NFL? Because it
- 2:44Speaker 1: was so good, so many great games. But the Jets,
- 2:47Speaker 1: it has never been better. I cannot recall a day
- 2:50Speaker 1: where I– maybe the day we got Aaron Rodgers– But
- 2:53Speaker 1: I cannot recall a day in which I have felt
- 2:56Speaker 1: better about being a Jet fan. Not only are we
- 2:59Speaker 1: off to a 1-0 start. Not only did we win
- 3:02Speaker 1: on the road. Not only did we beat our former coach,
- 3:05Speaker 1: Robert Sala. We also have the third and fifth picks
- 3:08Speaker 1: in next year's NFL draft.
- 3:12Speaker 2: Wow. How great is it to have not only a win,
- 3:17Speaker 2: but you're still tanking? which is so weird for the
- 3:21Speaker 2: Jets to be in this situation. I mean, it's not
- 3:23Speaker 2: going to get any better for the Jets. Like, I
- 3:25Speaker 2: have never wanted the season to end today as much
- 3:29Speaker 2: as I do right now. The season ended today, we're
- 3:31Speaker 2: in the Super Bowl. We're playing the Cardinals, we're in
- 3:34Speaker 2: the Super Bowl, and we're still getting Arch Manning.
- 3:37Speaker 1: Yes, we're in the Super Bowl playing the Arizona Cardinals,
- 3:40Speaker 1: a game no one picked, and no one wants to see,
- 3:42Speaker 1: by the way. And we still have the third and
- 3:45Speaker 1: fifth picks in the first round. of the NFL draft
- 3:48Speaker 1: that we could easily parlay into the first pick if
- 3:50Speaker 1: we wanted to. Who's going to say no? With that
- 3:52Speaker 1: many quarterbacks in the draft, if they want Arch Manning,
- 3:55Speaker 1: they'll get Arch Manning. Arch Manning won't want the Jets, though.
- 3:57Speaker 1: So we will see. But that was surprising, Mikey. Geno
- 4:01Speaker 1: looked good. The defense looked good. That looked like competent
- 4:03Speaker 1: football to me. I couldn't believe what I was watching.
- 4:06Speaker 2: It was... everything that you are hoping to show a
- 4:11Speaker 2: potential quarterback of the future for the jets. It was
- 4:15Speaker 2: look at the offensive line. Gino Smith wasn't touched. They've
- 4:18Speaker 2: got a defensive head coach, a guy who's like, Oh,
- 4:20Speaker 2: we're going to get after the quarterback and where this,
- 4:23Speaker 2: that all the Robert Sala quotes and Gino wasn't touched.
- 4:27Speaker 2: That's what you're going to sell. Oh, and Garrett Wilson's
- 4:30Speaker 2: pretty damn good. And that's what we're going to sell
- 4:32Speaker 2: to any potential quarterback next year. Come here, get behind
- 4:36Speaker 2: this offensive line. Brees Hall ran for 102 yards. This
- 4:39Speaker 2: is what you're going for. I just, I couldn't help
- 4:44Speaker 2: watch the game and think I've seen that team before
- 4:47Speaker 2: when I'm watching the Titans and it was Zach Wilson led.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Jets, right?
- 4:52Speaker 2: It was, I, I, you told me how good this
- 4:56Speaker 2: quarterback is with cam ward.
- 4:59Speaker 1: No, this is a fair question to ask today. At
- 5:01Speaker 1: this stage of Cam Ward's career, it is a fair
- 5:04Speaker 1: question to ask. Is Cam Ward good? I have no
- 5:07Speaker 1: proof that Cam Ward is going to be. Listen, he
- 5:10Speaker 1: was selected number one overall. When you're selected number one overall,
- 5:15Speaker 1: you need to be great. And I have no proof
- 5:17Speaker 1: that Cam Ward is going to be great. Like him,
- 5:20Speaker 1: great kid, looks like a great athlete, is a great athlete.
- 5:24Speaker 1: I have no idea whether or not that guy is
- 5:26Speaker 1: a good quarterback in the NFL. No idea.
- 5:29Speaker 2: You sold us that, oh, it's going to be different
- 5:32Speaker 2: this year. We got in Brian Dayball. Brian Dayball is
- 5:34Speaker 2: going to simplify the offense. Oh, he had no weapons.
- 5:37Speaker 2: Guess what? We went and took the fourth overall pick,
- 5:40Speaker 2: and we got you an Ohio State receiver in Tate.
- 5:43Speaker 2: We got a running game. We're going to do this, this, this,
- 5:46Speaker 2: and this. And you made the Jets defense, a defense
- 5:49Speaker 2: that was mocked religiously last year.
- 5:52Speaker 1: Looked like world beaters.
- 5:54Speaker 2: You made them look like they were the 86 Bears,
- 5:59Speaker 2: the 85 Bears. It's fair now to question whether or
- 6:05Speaker 2: not Cam Ward can even be a competent quarterback in
- 6:09Speaker 2: the NFL.
- 6:10Speaker 1: Right. Yes. Mikey, why are you so, like, I understand
- 6:15Speaker 1: what you're saying. The Jets are tanking. The story of
- 6:17Speaker 1: that game, yes, you could talk about Cam Ward, whether
- 6:19Speaker 1: or not he's good. I have no idea. We have
- 6:22Speaker 1: no idea. I don't think Robert Salah. has any sort
- 6:24Speaker 1: of idea as to whether or not Cam Ward is good.
- 6:28Speaker 1: The story, though, for me at least, obviously, as a
- 6:30Speaker 1: Jet fan, was Geno first started as a Jet since
- 6:33Speaker 1: the last time he was a Jet. And you're still
- 6:35Speaker 1: talking about next season. And I think this Jet team
- 6:38Speaker 1: is focused on this season. I think they fancy themselves
- 6:42Speaker 1: as a team that could surprise a lot of people
- 6:44Speaker 1: in the NFL because the defense is solid. The offensive line,
- 6:47Speaker 1: as you mentioned, is very, very good. Braylon Allen was
- 6:49Speaker 1: good as a backup to Brees Hall. They ran for
- 6:51Speaker 1: 150-plus yards. Gino didn't turn the ball over. He didn't
- 6:55Speaker 1: get touched. Listen, I know it's the Titans, and they'll play,
- 6:59Speaker 1: I think, the Packers next week. But that was a
- 7:02Speaker 1: nice win for the Jets. And while you're thinking about
- 7:04Speaker 1: next year, I'm tired of thinking about next season, and
- 7:07Speaker 1: I want to enjoy this season. How about that?
- 7:09Speaker 2: You're right in a sense that my brain is conditioned
- 7:12Speaker 2: to think next year.
- 7:13Speaker 1: It's not your fault. I'm just trying to talk you
- 7:15Speaker 1: out of it.
- 7:15Speaker 2: No, I understand. But my only words of caution– to
- 7:20Speaker 2: jet fans like yourself, who are like, we're excited about
- 7:22Speaker 2: this season is one. What is the legitimate ceiling for
- 7:27Speaker 2: this team? Could they sneak into the playoffs as a
- 7:29Speaker 2: seven or six seed? Absolutely. They could, they could rattle
- 7:33Speaker 2: off nine wins and be like, ah, that's cool. Good
- 7:36Speaker 2: for them. They made the playoffs. They ended that ridiculous
- 7:39Speaker 2: streak that they're on.
- 7:41Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 7:41Speaker 2: But this is not a Superbowl contending team. And two
- 7:44Speaker 2: is Gino Smith is not your long-term answer. So We
- 7:48Speaker 2: watched Arch Manning. We watched Julian saying we watched CJ car.
- 7:53Speaker 2: We watched all those guys on Saturday. And now you
- 7:56Speaker 2: might go, huh? We could do both.
- 8:00Speaker 1: Right. But correct me if I'm wrong, Mikey, we have
- 8:02Speaker 1: those picks regardless of how we finish this year.
- 8:05Speaker 2: Right?
- 8:06Speaker 1: Yes. Okay. So who cares? I mean, we still have
- 8:11Speaker 1: the third and fifth pick in the NFL draft, regardless
- 8:14Speaker 1: if we make it to a Superbowl. So who cares?
- 8:17Speaker 2: Me?
- 8:19Speaker 1: Why? Why not get to the Super Bowl and have
- 8:22Speaker 1: the picks?
- 8:22Speaker 2: Because they're not going to the Super Bowl. I mean,
- 8:24Speaker 2: it's fun to be a part of that.
- 8:25Speaker 1: Why not make a playoff? Mikey, hold on. Just hear
- 8:27Speaker 1: me out, all right? They play Green Bay at home,
- 8:29Speaker 1: home opener. Green Bay was terrible in the fourth quarter
- 8:32Speaker 1: against Minnesota. What a dreadful game. Awful. They're at Detroit.
- 8:35Speaker 1: That's a tough game. They're at the Bears. They're the
- 8:36Speaker 1: best team I've ever seen. He's the best quarterback I've
- 8:38Speaker 1: ever seen. I told you guys that. You guys weren't
- 8:41Speaker 1: listening to me. He's the greatest quarterback in the history
- 8:44Speaker 1: of the NFL. I'll announce it today. I announced it
- 8:46Speaker 1: last year. Then they take on Cleveland. Then they have game, like,
- 8:50Speaker 1: three of their next four after that. This is the
- 8:52Speaker 1: only reason why I'm excited about the Jets. It's not
- 8:54Speaker 1: about the Jets, although it is. They were solid yesterday.
- 8:57Speaker 1: It's about their schedule. Once they get through Green Bay, Detroit,
- 9:02Speaker 1: the NFC Central, essentially, and the Bears.
- 9:04Speaker 2: The North.
- 9:05Speaker 1: The North, right. I keep calling it the Central.
- 9:06Speaker 2: The Central disbanded 20 years ago.
- 9:08Speaker 1: I'm getting old. I'm Hank Goldberg. They have the Browns,
- 9:15Speaker 1: they have the Dolphins, and they have the Raiders. All
- 9:18Speaker 1: winnable games. In fact, they'll be favorites in those games.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I'm just saying. Why not? We get the picks no
- 9:22Speaker 1: matter what.
- 9:23Speaker 2: Why not?
- 9:25Speaker 1: I'm excited.
- 9:27Speaker 2: You're over excited.
- 9:27Speaker 1: I shouldn't be. You're over excited.
- 9:30Speaker 2: I mean, how many years of being a Jet fan
- 9:34Speaker 2: do you have to go through before you learn pump
- 9:36Speaker 2: the brakes? Pump the brakes. They beat the Titans. That's cool.
- 9:40Speaker 2: That was awesome. Let's live in that world for a minute.
- 9:43Speaker 2: They beat the Titans. They beat Robert Sala. Robert Sala
- 9:46Speaker 2: was like, no hard feelings. Okay, we beat them. We
- 9:49Speaker 2: won on the road. Everybody that was supposed to look good,
- 9:53Speaker 2: looked good. Everything was good. Let's just pump the brakes
- 9:56Speaker 2: right there. Let's just stay right let's just stay in
- 9:58Speaker 2: this world.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Okay because it ain't gonna last long.
- 10:03Speaker 2: You got you got fans delusional thinking oh the packers
- 10:06Speaker 2: we could beat them now like we beat the.

- 11:30Speaker 1: What did you make of that Packer game? Carson Wentz
- 11:32Speaker 1: came in. Kyler Murray got hurt. That was a dirty hit.
- 11:35Speaker 1: Kyler Murray leaves with a concussion. It was. It was
- 11:37Speaker 1: a dirty hit, Mike. It wasn't?
- 11:39Speaker 2: It was a dirty hit. It wasn't a vicious hit.
- 11:42Speaker 2: That's what I would say. That's what I would say.
- 11:44Speaker 2: It was a dirty hit. It wasn't a vicious hit.
- 11:48Speaker 1: So LeFleur, who is up, I think they're up five
- 11:51Speaker 1: in the fourth quarter, kicks a field goal, takes points
- 11:53Speaker 1: off the board, because it was fourth and six when
- 11:55Speaker 1: he kicked the field goal. And he decided that fourth
- 11:58Speaker 1: and one was a spot where he would go for it. Normally,
- 12:01Speaker 1: if the five yards is going to give you a
- 12:03Speaker 1: first down, I understand it. If it's just going to
- 12:06Speaker 1: get you five, you know, make fourth and six, fourth and,
- 12:09Speaker 1: you know, a long one, I don't know why you
- 12:12Speaker 1: would take the points off the board in a game
- 12:14Speaker 1: in which you're leading by eight. Regardless, Carson Wentz and
- 12:18Speaker 1: the Vikings come back and win that game. And what
- 12:21Speaker 1: a disaster for Green Bay. And the.
- 12:24Speaker 2: that was um that might be it would be the
- 12:29Speaker 2: worst loss of the weekend if the browns didn't exist
- 12:33Speaker 2: and the chargers didn't exist right yes but the packers
- 12:37Speaker 2: losing that divisional game when you're facing carson wentz for
- 12:42Speaker 2: over three quarters of that game.
- 12:44Speaker 1: Yep um.
- 12:46Speaker 2: It's it's it's inexcusable um Carson Wentz, to his credit,
- 12:50Speaker 2: he came in and he knew the game plan, which
- 12:53Speaker 2: was I have Justin Jefferson and you don't. And that's
- 12:56Speaker 2: what I'm going to do. Green Bay, it seemed like
- 13:01Speaker 2: they didn't know how to pick up short yardage. They
- 13:04Speaker 2: had no idea. They could throw the ball deep. I mean,
- 13:08Speaker 2: they got an 81-yard touchdown to Christian Watson because he
- 13:12Speaker 2: beat a blitz and broke a tackle and it was over. But, like,
- 13:15Speaker 2: they didn't know how to pick up two yards.
- 13:17Speaker 1: They couldn't.
- 13:18Speaker 2: They couldn't run the ball. Maybe that's because they're running back.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Josh Jacobs is unavailable at the moment. But the fact
- 13:25Speaker 2: that they got pushed around and when they needed to
- 13:28Speaker 2: pick up yards, Jordan Love was just smothered by that defense.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Outscored 22 to nothing in the fourth quarter. Carson Wentz,
- 13:38Speaker 1: 12 of 19, 133 yards and three touchdowns. I mean,
- 13:41Speaker 1: Jesus Christ. I certainly should go back to Kyler Murray.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Kevin O'Connell, quarterback whisperer.
- 13:48Speaker 1: He's back. He's back. If he can make Carson Wentz good.
- 13:53Speaker 1: He made Carson Wentz good. Yes, but I wanted to
- 13:57Speaker 1: see if he can make Kyler Murray good.
- 14:00Speaker 2: He looked all right.
- 14:02Speaker 1: Well, Jerry, no, he didn't look all right. It was
- 14:03Speaker 1: three of five with an interception.
- 14:05Speaker 2: Three of five is over 60% for 18 yards and
- 14:10Speaker 2: a pick.
- 14:13Speaker 1: Did have two carries for nine yards. And they got
- 14:15Speaker 1: knocked out of the game on the second carry. Let's
- 14:18Speaker 1: go up. Mikey bills at Texans. What'd you make there?
- 14:20Speaker 1: Josh Allen. I feel like Josh Allen plays the same
- 14:24Speaker 1: game every single Sunday. Seriously, where he is just running
- 14:29Speaker 1: down the field full blast in the fourth quarter. Cause
- 14:32Speaker 1: they just made a big play. And now he has
- 14:34Speaker 1: to pray for his defense to stop Houston.
- 14:37Speaker 2: It was a bizarro world. I mean, in all this game,
- 14:39Speaker 2: you're sitting there going, well, I mean, the Texas defense
- 14:42Speaker 2: is so good. that if the Texans just score 17 points,
- 14:47Speaker 2: 20 points, and get a lead, the Texans defense is
- 14:50Speaker 2: going to hold it. And Josh Allen was like, screw
- 14:53Speaker 2: your defense. And he just, the man plays with his
- 14:57Speaker 2: hair on fire, and just every single throw, every single run,
- 15:03Speaker 2: it's awesome to watch. I hate him, but I was
- 15:07Speaker 2: expecting the Houston Texans defense to shut him down a
- 15:09Speaker 2: little bit, and they just couldn't.
- 15:11Speaker 1: No, Mikey, that defense, there is no defense for that.
- 15:14Speaker 1: I'm sorry. I don't care how good your defense is.
- 15:16Speaker 1: They might have a world-class defense. There's no defending Josh
- 15:20Speaker 1: Allen when Josh Allen's playing like that. When he's 20
- 15:23Speaker 1: of 29, 334, two touchdowns, rushes for another two, he
- 15:26Speaker 1: doesn't turn the ball over. There's no defending that. I
- 15:29Speaker 1: don't care how many great guys you have playing defense
- 15:32Speaker 1: for your team. When he's playing that well and he's
- 15:35Speaker 1: on his game and he was on his game and
- 15:36Speaker 1: he's never beaten Houston in Houston, There's no stopping Josh Allen.
- 15:41Speaker 1: He is so– do it in the playoffs. I understand.
- 15:43Speaker 1: And he needs to do it in the playoffs. But
- 15:46Speaker 1: what a win. It was the game of the year.
- 15:48Speaker 1: Week one. How about that?
- 15:51Speaker 2: Game of the year of the week.
- 15:53Speaker 1: Game of the year of the week.
- 15:54Speaker 2: And finished in second.
- 15:56Speaker 1: Yes. And C.J. Straub wasn't terrible. I mean, we keep
- 15:59Speaker 1: saying that the Texans are a quarterback. He was bad
- 16:01Speaker 1: in that final drive. He turned it over. He cannot
- 16:04Speaker 1: make those turnovers. But he was 26-38, 274 and two touchdowns.
- 16:08Speaker 1: He wasn't terrible, you know?
- 16:11Speaker 2: So if you're a Houston fan this morning, are you
- 16:14Speaker 2: happy that you saw what you saw from C.J. Stroud,
- 16:17Speaker 2: or are you worried that you saw your defense just
- 16:20Speaker 2: get demolished?
- 16:21Speaker 1: That's a great question. I'm not worried about– no. The
- 16:24Speaker 1: big question headed into the season was not the defense. Again,
- 16:27Speaker 1: when he's playing like that, Josh Allen, there's not much
- 16:29Speaker 1: you can do. I don't care who you have. You know,
- 16:32Speaker 1: it's got it reminds me. I'm not saying I'm not
- 16:34Speaker 1: comparing the Texans defense to the Bears of 85. But
- 16:39Speaker 1: that defense was so overwhelming. Right. And then they came
- 16:43Speaker 1: into Miami on a Monday night. They were undefeated. They
- 16:45Speaker 1: played Dan Marino, high powered offense. And when Marino's playing
- 16:49Speaker 1: like that, there's nothing you can do. And they lost
- 16:52Speaker 1: that game. And when Josh Allen's playing like that, there's
- 16:55Speaker 1: just nothing you can do. So if I'm a Texan fan,
- 16:57Speaker 1: I'm like, hey, we hung in there with one of
- 16:59Speaker 1: the favorites to make it to the Super Bowl. The
- 17:01Speaker 1: big question was C.J. Shroud headed into the season. Quarterback
- 17:05Speaker 1: looked pretty good. If we put up 31 points every
- 17:08Speaker 1: single week or somewhere around there, we're going to win
- 17:11Speaker 1: most games that we play. We're not playing Josh Allen
- 17:13Speaker 1: and Buffalo every week. So I'd be excited if I
- 17:15Speaker 1: was a Texan fan. You?
- 17:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, you trust that D'Amico Ryans is going
- 17:21Speaker 2: to get that defense better. You trust that D'Amico Ryan
- 17:24Speaker 2: is going to get the job done. You didn't trust
- 17:27Speaker 2: that C.J. Stroud was going to be able to go
- 17:29Speaker 2: point for point for most of the game with a
- 17:32Speaker 2: high-powered Bills offense, and he did. So I'm a little optimistic.
- 17:37Speaker 2: It hurts to lose that game because you know end
- 17:40Speaker 2: of the season you're going to say, ah, well, the
- 17:42Speaker 2: Texans are behind the Bills because of the tiebreaker because
- 17:45Speaker 2: they lost the head-to-head back in week one. But, yeah,
- 17:50Speaker 2: it's something definitely to– It's a good loss.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Yeah. How'd you feel about the Bengals, my boy Burrow?
- 17:57Speaker 1: I mean, geez, I got to tell you, man, the NFL,
- 17:59Speaker 1: this is going to be such a great season. You
- 18:02Speaker 1: have three guys in the AFC. First off, Mahomes is
- 18:05Speaker 1: coming back, and he plays tonight. But you have three
- 18:08Speaker 1: guys chasing a ring in the AFC. They are so desperate,
- 18:12Speaker 1: so craving. I'm talking about Burrow. I'm talking about Josh Allen.
- 18:16Speaker 1: I'm talking about Lamar Jackson, who were all so great yesterday.
- 18:20Speaker 1: Not all three of them are going to win a
- 18:21Speaker 1: Super Bowl, Mikey. I don't think it's likely that all three.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And you have three guys chasing a ring. All three
- 18:28Speaker 1: of them are three of the top 15 quarterbacks I've
- 18:30Speaker 1: ever seen play in the NFL. And a couple of
- 18:33Speaker 1: them are not going to get any credit because they're
- 18:35Speaker 1: not going to win a Super Bowl. It's crazy.
- 18:37Speaker 2: They can't all win a ring. I don't know if
- 18:39Speaker 2: they can. They can't even all make it to the
- 18:41Speaker 2: AFC Championship. They all can't make it.
- 18:46Speaker 1: Can all three of them win a ring? It seems improbable.
- 18:49Speaker 2: It's not going to happen. No, it's not going to happen.
- 18:53Speaker 1: It would have to happen, like, soon. Like, in the
- 18:54Speaker 1: next five years, it would have to happen.
- 18:56Speaker 2: One of them needs to get it quick. One of
- 18:57Speaker 2: them needs to get it soon.
- 18:58Speaker 1: This year.
- 18:58Speaker 2: Because it's getting late. It's getting late for all of them.
- 19:02Speaker 2: And it stinks because, you're right, they're all so good.
- 19:07Speaker 2: But they all just kept running into juggernauts, whether it
- 19:10Speaker 2: was Brady early or it was Mahomes now or it was,
- 19:14Speaker 2: I don't know, is Drake May in there now? I
- 19:17Speaker 2: say no, but that's... He's 0-1.
- 19:19Speaker 1: We're 1-0. Football.
- 19:25Speaker 2: About it.
- 19:26Speaker 1: I mean, the Rams are 0-1. The Jets are 1-0.
- 19:31Speaker 2: So are the Giants.
- 19:33Speaker 1: So are the Cardinals.
- 19:35Speaker 2: What?
- 19:36Speaker 1: What a weird sport. I fucking love it. And hate it.
- 19:46Speaker 1: And I feel gross.
- 19:48Speaker 2: I need to shower again.
- 19:50Speaker 1: I tried to wash football off of me last night.
- 19:53Speaker 2: I didn't want to. You crawled into bed with my wife.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I said, smell that. That's football.
- 20:03Speaker 1: I took a shower. I took a shower after the
- 20:06Speaker 1: four o'clock and my wife said, oh, you smell great.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I said, why? She said, you got that football smell
- 20:13Speaker 1: off of you. And then I sat down to watch Cowboys-Giants. Halftime,
- 20:19Speaker 1: smelled terrible.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Crawled into bed.
- 20:23Speaker 1: Jackson Dort's good.
- 20:24Speaker 2: It's football.
- 20:28Speaker 1: Jackson, I mean, listen, that was impressive, Mikey. Everyone talked
- 20:32Speaker 1: about the Cowboys. Sunday night football, Giants-Cowboys. Jackson Dort looked
- 20:36Speaker 1: so good in that game. That's the perfect story for
- 20:39Speaker 1: John Horbaugh. It was so good.
- 20:41Speaker 2: It really was. I just find it funny that the
- 20:45Speaker 2: Giants and that broadcast would have you believe that the
- 20:49Speaker 2: only thing that's stopping every team from winning is a
- 20:51Speaker 2: good fullback. Because that's what they did.
- 20:55Speaker 1: Scataboo.
- 20:58Speaker 2: No. Richard. Oh, Richard. They were like, just watch where
- 21:02Speaker 2: this guy goes. And that's where the ball's going. And
- 21:04Speaker 2: you watch him. You're like, oh, yeah, that's where the
- 21:06Speaker 2: ball's going. And they just keep going. They just keep going.
- 21:10Speaker 1: Yeah. I mean, they had 37 carries for 165 yards. Remember,
- 21:16Speaker 1: a Cowboys defense was fixed. Right. I mean, you got
- 21:21Speaker 1: to give Dar credit, right? You have to. You got
- 21:23Speaker 1: to give John Horbach credit. It's one game, I understand,
- 21:26Speaker 1: but all the hype was about the Cowboys. There were
- 21:29Speaker 1: five possessions in the second half of that football game.
- 21:31Speaker 1: Five possessions in total. But Jackson Dar, 23 of 29,
- 21:36Speaker 1: 230 yards. He ran. He ran smart. He had three touchdowns,
- 21:39Speaker 1: no interceptions. He was great. He got down. Yeah, that division.
- 21:43Speaker 1: Anyone can win that division, man. Anyone. Yes, except the Commanders. Why?
- 21:51Speaker 1: They were two points. They gave the Eagles a run
- 21:54Speaker 1: in Philly yesterday. Except the Commanders.
- 22:01Speaker 2: I'm sorry. That wasn't nice, Washington.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Why'd you take half the Commanders? Yeah. There's no one
- 22:09Speaker 1: really to take out today. They were great games. I
- 22:13Speaker 1: guess if you're going to take out somebody, you take
- 22:15Speaker 1: out the Chargers. Enough of Herbert. Enough of Harbaugh. Enough
- 22:19Speaker 1: of Mike McDaniel. I am so fucking tired of that team,
- 22:22Speaker 1: of that quarterback, and everyone telling me how great the
- 22:25Speaker 1: coach is and how great the quarterback is. Question for
- 22:28Speaker 1: everyone who tells me that. What the hell have those
- 22:31Speaker 1: two done in the NFL? Somebody. Anybody. Harbaugh with the Niners.
- 22:35Speaker 1: What have the two of them done together in the NFL?
- 22:39Speaker 1: Nothing is the answer.
- 22:41Speaker 2: I am officially calling the Los Angeles Chargers frauds until
- 22:46Speaker 2: they prove me otherwise. Until they can show, and the
- 22:49Speaker 2: Cowboys too. Those are two teams that I am told
- 22:53Speaker 2: every year how good they are, how good the quarterback is,
- 22:56Speaker 2: how much the coach is going to figure it out
- 22:58Speaker 2: this year, whether it's McCarthy or now Schottenheimer in Dallas
- 23:03Speaker 2: or Harbaugh. I they are officially frauds until they can
- 23:08Speaker 2: prove otherwise and I don't even know how they do
- 23:11Speaker 2: that because it's not going to take a first round
- 23:13Speaker 2: exit in the playoffs like we've seen so many times
- 23:16Speaker 2: from those teams like you have to do something I
- 23:19Speaker 2: want to see a championship game before I start going
- 23:22Speaker 2: you know what this team might be good.
- 23:24Speaker 1: Yep uh Mikey it was great talking ball with you
- 23:27Speaker 1: we didn't even talk about the game of the weekend
- 23:29Speaker 1: which was uh which was uh Saints and.
- 23:32Speaker 2: My boys shuck. My boys shuck better than Cam Ward.
- 23:36Speaker 1: I said it. There was so much football. We could
- 23:39Speaker 1: even get to 3130 Detroit Saints. That took us till
- 23:43Speaker 1: 5 p.m. in the afternoon. What a magical game. We'll
- 23:48Speaker 1: talk about it with Trey Wingo. We have plenty of
- 23:50Speaker 1: more time to talk more football. We'll talk about that game,
- 23:53Speaker 1: all the games coming up here with Trey Wingo. I
- 23:56Speaker 1: just wanted to quickly here before we get out of here, Mikey,
- 23:59Speaker 1: thank the Dolphins for being As awful as advertised.
