- 0:05Speaker 1: It's my name is Paubara. Welcome back in a tech path.
- 0:07Speaker 1: I want to thank our sponsor today and that is coinbase.
- 0:10Speaker 1: If you guys are looking to get into crypto, maybe
- 0:12Speaker 1: for the first time, or you just need a place
- 0:14Speaker 1: to go over and set up some trades, well, coinbase
- 0:16Speaker 1: is the place to do it. Check it out. Just
- 0:18Speaker 1: go to coinbas dot com use our link down below
- 0:20Speaker 1: to get signed up. You'll get two hundred bucks in
- 0:22Speaker 1: crypto to get started. That's the cool part of doing that.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Then you can take it over, put it in self custody,
- 0:27Speaker 1: all those kind of cool things within crypto. Let's get
- 0:30Speaker 1: into it today. I want to go, of course, over
- 0:32Speaker 1: to the first scenario, and that is President elect Trump's
- 0:36Speaker 1: New York Stock Exchange opening bell after named after it
- 0:40Speaker 1: was named Times Person of the Year. So good news
- 0:43Speaker 1: is that we continue to see positive I think scenarios
- 0:46Speaker 1: that are playing out within the Trump administration for crypto,
- 0:49Speaker 1: and we'll get into some of that. I want to
- 0:51Speaker 1: go to a clip real quick. This clip is actually
- 0:54Speaker 1: Kramer talking to Trump about crypto. Take a look.
- 0:58Speaker 2: You're embrasied in crypto, very different from the previous administration.
- 1:01Speaker 2: Strategic patroleum reserve like for crypto.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Yeah, I think.
- 1:05Speaker 2: So we're going to do something great with crypto because
- 1:07Speaker 2: we don't want China or anybody else, not just China,
- 1:10Speaker 2: but others are embracing it, and we want to be
- 1:12Speaker 2: the head. We're going to be ahead of AI. We're
- 1:14Speaker 2: going to be way ahead of AI. And we've got
- 1:17Speaker 2: to produce tremendous amounts of electricity.
- 1:19Speaker 4: You know that.
- 1:19Speaker 2: It's unbelievable when you think that we need more than
- 1:23Speaker 2: twice what we already have if you think that's pretty
- 1:26Speaker 2: for a specific industry. But we'll be able to do it.
- 1:29Speaker 2: We have Lee Zelden in charge of the environment. He's
- 1:32Speaker 2: going to be given us very strong approvals, I think,
- 1:35Speaker 2: and he's going to make sure everything's good and clean
- 1:37Speaker 2: and proper. But he's going to give us very fast
- 1:40Speaker 2: approvals natural.
- 1:41Speaker 1: GISs all right, So some things to remember there, of course,
- 1:44Speaker 1: is a lot around the Bitcoin Strategic Reserve. Also, remember
- 1:47Speaker 1: he placed David Sachs as the Crypto and AIS are.
- 1:51Speaker 1: I think that will be a benefit to a certain extent.
- 1:54Speaker 1: Understands a lot about digital assets and has been involved before.
- 1:57Speaker 1: So all that good news. Here's Eric mal Soon is
- 2:00Speaker 1: coming in with a new report from Blackrock saying that
- 2:02Speaker 1: it's recommending up to two percent exposure on bitcoin. That
- 2:06Speaker 1: would be huge because of the amount of money that
- 2:08Speaker 1: is still setting over there on the sidelines or maybe
- 2:11Speaker 1: still in reserve, just not sure if they should go
- 2:13Speaker 1: into digital assets. A two percent push from Blackrock is
- 2:17Speaker 1: a pretty big deal. Further into that, you've got taxes
- 2:20Speaker 1: coming in now saying they're going to consider a strategic
- 2:23Speaker 1: bitcoin reserve through taxes and fees. This is a big
- 2:26Speaker 1: deal because it's one of the biggest potential mining states
- 2:29Speaker 1: out there in the United States, and with this in
- 2:32Speaker 1: conjunction to what the US government is going to be doing,
- 2:35Speaker 1: this could be good for Texas. So we're going to
- 2:37Speaker 1: be watching that one to see how this plays out.
- 2:40Speaker 1: One thing I just want to kind of put out there.
- 2:42Speaker 1: This came from the Coin Daily boys saying that Donald
- 2:46Speaker 1: Trump is owning more ethereum th bitcoin right now, and
- 2:49Speaker 1: we've looked at the wallets, we kind of get it. Yes,
- 2:51Speaker 1: we've seen that, and of course if you look at
- 2:52Speaker 1: the NFT collections, he has definitely had that. I want
- 2:55Speaker 1: to go to a clip real quick because this will
- 2:57Speaker 1: get into a little bit more around what Tom Lee
- 3:00Speaker 1: is thinking twenty five, twenty four and twenty five might
- 3:04Speaker 1: look like for expectations. Take a look.
- 3:06Speaker 4: Should we be surprised at this resurgence, this melt up,
- 3:11Speaker 4: and it's maybe caught some people by surprise. I think
- 3:16Speaker 4: investors should realize twenty twenty four has been a year
- 3:19Speaker 4: of surprising strength. The market has avoided so many opportunities
- 3:23Speaker 4: for weakness, and now we're entering the final weeks of
- 3:26Speaker 4: the year where we know there's still seven trying to
- 3:28Speaker 4: cash on the sidelines and quite good visibility in the
- 3:31Speaker 4: next year. So I think stock should finish very strong.
- 3:34Speaker 4: The CPI print today allows people to imagine a path
- 3:37Speaker 4: to two percent.
- 3:38Speaker 3: All right, so Fed's cut next week, yes, your base case?
- 3:40Speaker 2: Yes?
- 3:41Speaker 1: And then what happens after that?
- 3:42Speaker 3: All bets are off? Wait and see what do you think?
- 3:45Speaker 4: I think the FED put remains in play because neutral
- 3:48Speaker 4: is let's say two and a half to three percent.
- 3:51Speaker 4: We're at force five after the December cut, so we
- 3:55Speaker 4: know the Fed's in a cutting cycle. I actually think
- 3:57Speaker 4: the best case is for the FED to do the
- 3:59Speaker 4: fewest number of cuts next year.
- 4:01Speaker 1: That means the economy is pretty strong.
- 4:04Speaker 4: That's right, it's strong. They don't. They're not harming the
- 4:07Speaker 4: economy by keeping rates here, and the labor market is
- 4:11Speaker 4: holding up, and now we have a lot of firepower
- 4:13Speaker 4: for future cuts which support stock all.
- 4:16Speaker 1: Right, So a few things he said there is the
- 4:19Speaker 1: imagine a path to two percent. What he's talking about
- 4:22Speaker 1: there is inflation with the fact that CPI came in
- 4:24Speaker 1: at least what was expected this week. And I think
- 4:27Speaker 1: as he is stating, and I would agree, is that
- 4:30Speaker 1: we are going to get a quarter basis points cut
- 4:33Speaker 1: here this next week. That will be very positive for
- 4:36Speaker 1: markets going in. The slowdown coming from the Fed for
- 4:39Speaker 1: twenty five will be very dependent on how the market
- 4:42Speaker 1: shows out for twenty twenty five, and that will include
- 4:44Speaker 1: tech stocks as well as what's happening here in the
- 4:46Speaker 1: crypto markets. Bullish report right here a US spot ethereum
- 4:50Speaker 1: ETFs now have seen inflows for thirteen trading days in
- 4:55Speaker 1: a row. So that's the total inflow during that streak,
- 4:59Speaker 1: our ow over one point ninety five billion.
- 5:02Speaker 2: Guys.
- 5:02Speaker 1: That's a pretty very bullish statement right now when it
- 5:05Speaker 1: comes to e theorem, and really kind of about time,
- 5:08Speaker 1: because everybody's had been expecting this much earlier than what
- 5:12Speaker 1: we of course have seen if you look at Matthew Siegel,
- 5:14Speaker 1: he's coming in and stating the point around Microsoft and
- 5:17Speaker 1: what he's talking about here is it sounds like Microsoft
- 5:20Speaker 1: is open to an ETHTF as long as they can
- 5:23Speaker 1: collect some staking income. This is coming in from Amy Hood,
- 5:26Speaker 1: who is the EVP over at the at Microsoft chief
- 5:29Speaker 1: financial officer, And there was a few things that they
- 5:32Speaker 1: talked about about accepting cryptocurrency. They were early leaders. But
- 5:36Speaker 1: there's a couple of points down here in the statement.
- 5:39Speaker 1: Liquidity is also a really important criteria as well as
- 5:42Speaker 1: generating income. That probably to me is the point that
- 5:46Speaker 1: Siegel is making around potentially getting yields out of an ETF.
- 5:51Speaker 1: That will be a big one for sure. Remember that
- 5:55Speaker 1: Microsoft was considering a well, I shouldn't say considering. The
- 5:59Speaker 1: proposal was being made to Microsoft. This was Proposal five
- 6:03Speaker 1: assessment of an of investing in bitcoin. This was a
- 6:06Speaker 1: shareholder proposal, and of course it didn't get much push.
- 6:11Speaker 1: In fact, it was a very very low percentage, so
- 6:13Speaker 1: it wasn't even anything really that was I think a
- 6:16Speaker 1: legitimate potential. And we started digging into how did this happen,
- 6:20Speaker 1: how did the process get into the board of Microsoft
- 6:25Speaker 1: to be able to propose bitcoin as a strategic asset
- 6:29Speaker 1: or at least to be held on the balance sheet.
- 6:31Speaker 1: And if you look at some of the people that
- 6:32Speaker 1: have been out there, this is one of the companies
- 6:35Speaker 1: called National Center for Public Policy Research. These are the
- 6:38Speaker 1: guys that essentially made the connection between micro Strategy, Sailor
- 6:43Speaker 1: and what was happening over on Microsoft. So I think
- 6:47Speaker 1: it's interesting to look at Ethan Peck, I think was
- 6:49Speaker 1: the guy that was in this one video. I want
- 6:52Speaker 1: to go and show a clip here because this could
- 6:54Speaker 1: be the catalyst of why we saw a bit of
- 6:56Speaker 1: a downturn. Take a look at this.
- 6:58Speaker 3: He came up with that idea to try to you know,
- 7:00Speaker 3: get in front of Satia one on one. That didn't
- 7:04Speaker 3: work because they were, you know, they really didn't want
- 7:06Speaker 3: to negotiate at all, and they're being very stubborn. Recently
- 7:10Speaker 3: revealed I offered to withdraw the proposal if they meet,
- 7:14Speaker 3: if Satia and Adella meets with Sailor directly in person,
- 7:18Speaker 3: they still wouldn't do it. I spoke to black Rock
- 7:21Speaker 3: and they didn't want to negotiate. I offered, you know,
- 7:24Speaker 3: for them to buy less than one percent I offered
- 7:26Speaker 3: for them to withdraw the proposal. What they told me
- 7:29Speaker 3: Microsoft when I spoke to them was what they put
- 7:32Speaker 3: in the proxy statement. We've already analyzed investing in crypto.
- 7:36Speaker 3: They said crypto, not bitcoin. I offered a number of things,
- 7:40Speaker 3: and they just didn't want to hear it. Putting them
- 7:42Speaker 3: on the spot still has an effect. Shout out to
- 7:45Speaker 3: all bitcoiners. What bitcoiners have already done to make this
- 7:49Speaker 3: a viral thing and put Microsoft in the spot and
- 7:53Speaker 3: make it very known that Microsoft's about to fumble bad.
- 7:58Speaker 3: That's effective on every other company. What we think and
- 8:03Speaker 3: what we fully intend is that a lot of companies
- 8:06Speaker 3: need to be sued and we're working in that direction
- 8:09Speaker 3: as well.
- 8:11Speaker 1: Okay, so man, some interesting statements here on this with
- 8:16Speaker 1: the proposal into Microsoft, because remember these are publicly traded companies.
- 8:19Speaker 1: They're in a position where they have a fiduciary responsibilities
- 8:23Speaker 1: to shareholders and stakeholders. On another note, you know, based
- 8:27Speaker 1: on the lobbying group, is this was interesting how this
- 8:31Speaker 1: actually came about because you would think, I think for
- 8:34Speaker 1: most people, they probably thought that maybe Microsoft was interested
- 8:37Speaker 1: in putting you know, crypto bitcoin the on the balance sheet,
- 8:41Speaker 1: and in fact I think it was the opposite. I
- 8:43Speaker 1: think it was a lobby to try to get this attention,
- 8:46Speaker 1: and of course putting micro strategy in the front really
- 8:49Speaker 1: to kind of present the case was their strategy, though
- 8:52Speaker 1: it did not work, and I think maybe you know,
- 8:54Speaker 1: in reality, it's kind of like guerrilla marketing. I think
- 8:56Speaker 1: there's a lot of companies out there that kind of
- 8:58Speaker 1: do that. He even mentioned that statement about this being
- 9:01Speaker 1: somewhat viral and everybody talking about this, especially with bitcoiners,
- 9:05Speaker 1: but not really a good look I think overall for
- 9:09Speaker 1: the market. But at the same time, I'm still very
- 9:12Speaker 1: bullish of how this may play out. Other things to
- 9:14Speaker 1: take a look at, of course, is tether. Tether is
- 9:18Speaker 1: now getting delisted in Europe, so all in alignment with
- 9:22Speaker 1: what's happening in Mica, and this will happen on the
- 9:25Speaker 1: thirteenth of December, so just around the corner we will
- 9:27Speaker 1: see now the MECA regulations starting to go into effect.
- 9:30Speaker 1: We'll see a lot more exchanges that will do the
- 9:32Speaker 1: same thing. So Tether is essentially not going to be
- 9:35Speaker 1: available there at USDC and EURC will remain unaffected, so
- 9:40Speaker 1: that will be the primary trading pairs out there, and
- 9:42Speaker 1: I anticipate we'll probably see some others as well that
- 9:45Speaker 1: we'll start to flow into that other things that are
- 9:48Speaker 1: happening out here. Tether minted almost a billion right here
- 9:52Speaker 1: in terms of on eighth, So this is bullish for
- 9:54Speaker 1: eth in essence, But again, I think this is one
- 9:57Speaker 1: of the market trends that we're seeing in an upside.
- 9:59Speaker 1: Remember we're at almost what three point six trillion right now?
- 10:02Speaker 1: Could we hit four trillion in market cap of the
- 10:05Speaker 1: entire crypto market by the end of the year. Let
- 10:07Speaker 1: me know what you guys think. Drop some comments down below.
- 10:11Speaker 1: Further news out here, Securitize has hired somebody new and
- 10:15Speaker 1: that is Michael Shawnesson, who is former Grayscale. You guys
- 10:19Speaker 1: probably remember he was the former CEO of Greyscale Investments,
- 10:23Speaker 1: but now he is stepping in as the chief operating
- 10:26Speaker 1: officer at Securitize. I'm not sure I'm a big believer
- 10:30Speaker 1: in this move, but you know, I get that this
- 10:33Speaker 1: is one of those things. I think that the industry
- 10:35Speaker 1: is looking for executives like this. But maybe we'll get
- 10:38Speaker 1: the securitized guys on to explain a little bit more
- 10:41Speaker 1: about this. I don't know, I wouldn't have picked that guy.
- 10:45Speaker 1: Further into this, Avalanche is out there raising money. Two
- 10:47Speaker 1: hundred and fifty mili have locked a token sale led
- 10:50Speaker 1: by Galaxy Digital, also Dragonfly and Parafy Capital. This just
- 10:54Speaker 1: simply means we've got, you know, capital coming back in.
- 10:58Speaker 1: It looks like we might have private EQUI and VC
- 11:01Speaker 1: starting to move into the space again. Interesting timing though here,
- 11:04Speaker 1: because I felt like this should have been done maybe
- 11:07Speaker 1: sixty ninety days ago, because we're really getting into a
- 11:10Speaker 1: heated market now. Maybe some things that are starting to
- 11:13Speaker 1: go into alignment here with real world assets and also
- 11:16Speaker 1: with what Avalanche is doing with their retro nine thousand,
- 11:19Speaker 1: which is really kind of building an evolution of new developers.
- 11:23Speaker 1: Solana has now surpassed Ethereum as the fastest growing crypto
- 11:27Speaker 1: ecosystem in terms of new developers. I was just on
- 11:30Speaker 1: the other day with one of the i think one
- 11:32Speaker 1: of the top ethvs and this was a statement that
- 11:36Speaker 1: we kind of went back in on, and my position
- 11:38Speaker 1: was is that you chains like Solana and others would
- 11:42Speaker 1: have the ability to draw in a lot of new developers,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and in fact they have been able to do that.
- 11:47Speaker 1: So I don't know if I necessarily agree with that.
- 11:50Speaker 1: If you look at the quick take, thirty nine thousand
- 11:52Speaker 1: new developers at inner Crypto this year, seventy six hundred
- 11:55Speaker 1: built on Solana, eighty three percent jump in year over year.
- 11:58Speaker 1: Etherorum remains the top blockchain developer share, which is a
- 12:01Speaker 1: statement I was saying, is that you know just the
- 12:04Speaker 1: size of the blockchain and the developers needed to maintain it.
- 12:08Speaker 1: But Solana now following a close second. So kudos to
- 12:11Speaker 1: what's happening out there with Solana. If you look at
- 12:13Speaker 1: the chart, you can kind of see the number one
- 12:16Speaker 1: ecosystem for new developers in twenty twenty four. Boom, there
- 12:20Speaker 1: is Solana Ethereum, and then you can kind of see
- 12:23Speaker 1: what's coming upnerneath there, which is icp, aptos base, even
- 12:27Speaker 1: Bitcoin and sweet coming in hot. So lots happening in
- 12:31Speaker 1: the market for sure. Last up here I want to
- 12:34Speaker 1: hit on, and that is the SEC confirmations. Now, one
- 12:37Speaker 1: thing that is happening right now is that Caroline Crenshaw
- 12:42Speaker 1: may or may not get verified into her position at
- 12:46Speaker 1: the SEC. One statement here from Schard Brown. He said, Hey,
- 12:49Speaker 1: this is the kind of smear campaigns that have been
- 12:52Speaker 1: taking place and this is why I lost, basically. But
- 12:56Speaker 1: if you look down here, here's Deton talking about out
- 13:00Speaker 1: this Crenshaw literally advocated for ignoring of Court of Appeals
- 13:05Speaker 1: that oversees the SEC. That's something you just can't consistently do.
- 13:09Speaker 1: And I think that's the thing that he's looking at
- 13:11Speaker 1: and saying, of course, she should be not pushed into
- 13:15Speaker 1: the chair position again, and I think I shouldn't say
- 13:17Speaker 1: the chair position, but the commissioner position again. And if
- 13:21Speaker 1: she doesn't get it done here before the break, I
- 13:24Speaker 1: don't think she comes back. I think you'll get a
- 13:27Speaker 1: new appointment at the SEC, which means that we could
- 13:31Speaker 1: have a stacked deck over at the SEC if you
- 13:35Speaker 1: think about possibly Crenshaw's replacement, a new chair, And you've
- 13:39Speaker 1: got you Ada and Hester Parris, all of which have
- 13:43Speaker 1: been i won't say pro digital assets, but they're not
- 13:46Speaker 1: out there physically hunting against digital asset companies, which I
- 13:50Speaker 1: think is the big one. Other things I want to
- 13:52Speaker 1: hit on, of course, if you look at the point
- 13:55Speaker 1: here that Eleanor Tarrett was making, is that really this
- 13:58Speaker 1: is boiling down to a very very short time frame
- 14:02Speaker 1: from the Committees on Appropriations and Budgets for their subcommittees
- 14:06Speaker 1: to be able to get this done. So very very
- 14:08Speaker 1: close for this happening, We're going to keep an eye
- 14:11Speaker 1: on that because it will affect I think the SEC
- 14:13Speaker 1: and kind of the strategy for twenty twenty five and
- 14:16Speaker 1: a lot of what's going to happen in the markets,
- 14:18Speaker 1: I think in general as well, because this will be
- 14:19Speaker 1: very pro for companies who are trying to come to
- 14:22Speaker 1: market here in the United States. That's the biggest part
- 14:25Speaker 1: of this. If you guys are not part of the
- 14:27Speaker 1: Diamond Circle, make sure and get in right now. It's
- 14:28Speaker 1: a great place to find additional content from us. Also,
- 14:32Speaker 1: catch me out there on x at Paul Baron. We'll
- 14:34Speaker 1: catch you next time right here on tech Bath
