- 4:15Speaker 3: about what's pulling you. Maybe it's a career path You're
- 4:20Speaker 3: being pulled towards something less conventional. Maybe you want to
- 4:23Speaker 3: start your own business. Look if it feels right to you,

- 4:32Speaker 3: Ralph Waldo Emerson said, do not follow where the path
- 4:37Speaker 3: may lead. Go instead where there is no path, and
- 4:40Speaker 3: leave a trail. And you can find that quote on

- 5:14Speaker 3: holiday shopping this far in advance, and I know some
- 5:17Speaker 3: people have started even before me. But I was at
- 5:20Speaker 3: Costco okay, and I was not there to purchase any
- 5:23Speaker 3: Christmas gifts. But they have all their Christmas stuff out.
- 5:27Speaker 2: Now, of course they do. It's October eight.
- 5:29Speaker 3: Uh huh, why not let's give all the holidays and
- 5:32Speaker 3: go right to Christmas. But they had pre boxed and
- 5:37Speaker 3: wrapped in Christmas wrapping paper, some Belgian chocolates and it
- 5:42Speaker 3: was like really nice price, and I thought, oh gosh,
- 5:45Speaker 3: who could I give this to? Because you start to think,
- 5:47Speaker 3: oh this is this could be a great gift. And
- 5:49Speaker 3: I was like, oh, this is a perfect gift for
- 5:51Speaker 3: the teachers, like the music teacher, pe teacher. They're called
- 5:54Speaker 3: specials teachers in my son's school. So I bought enough
- 5:57Speaker 3: for all the teachers. Now on the one hand, and
- 6:00Speaker 3: I'm really proud of myself that I got something done. Yeah,
- 6:03Speaker 3: here's what genuine usually happens. Though I forget that I
- 6:08Speaker 3: bought them the gifts and I end up buying them
- 6:10Speaker 3: gifts again. Okay, or I remembered I bought them gifts.
- 6:14Speaker 3: I think I got them gifts at Costco. But where
- 6:17Speaker 3: did I put those? So I end up screwing myself
- 6:20Speaker 3: in the end.
- 6:21Speaker 2: Anyways, you should just wait till the last minute and
- 6:24Speaker 2: do it all the system two weeks out. I also
- 6:27Speaker 2: don't see a problem with this because at some point, yes,
- 6:31Speaker 2: somebody's getting a box of chocolates, whether it's the teacher
- 6:33Speaker 2: or whether it's you. Yeah, this is true.
- 6:35Speaker 3: I'm gonna have a lot of nice packages boxes of chocolate.

- 10:22Speaker 5: You're too old to trick or treat, then you just
- 10:25Speaker 5: stay home and you dress up, but you scare the kids.
- 10:27Speaker 2: We'll do trick or treat. I'm looking forward to dressing
- 10:30Speaker 2: up this year.

- 10:33Speaker 2: So it's a whole new way of doing things exactly.
- 10:37Speaker 2: Jenness in Baltimore, Welcome to the show.
- 10:39Speaker 6: I think anybody should dress up for Halloween as long
- 10:42Speaker 6: as they possibly can. We live in Baltimore and like kids,
- 10:46Speaker 6: just don't trick or treat anymore. We sat out last
- 10:49Speaker 6: year with a bucket of candy, and we're like forcing
- 10:53Speaker 6: teenagers to take candy, and they thought we were weird.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Kids just just they go up too quick nowadays. And
- 11:00Speaker 6: any teenager that is going to take the time to
- 11:03Speaker 6: dress up for Halloween and go door to door, I'm like,
- 11:06Speaker 6: take all my candy because that means they're not out
- 11:10Speaker 6: doing stupid things and getting into trouble.
- 11:13Speaker 3: Wow, Jenness is all fired up. I think, thank you.
- 11:17Speaker 3: And this is anybody who lives in Baltimore. Yeah, Jenness

- 12:33Speaker 3: or take some cookie dough and eat it before you
- 12:36Speaker 3: bake it? And are you worried about any kind of salmonia?
- 12:40Speaker 4: Well, you're assuming that, I think, but I would.
- 12:44Speaker 1: I have had cookie dough in the past, and no,
- 12:47Speaker 1: I'm really not concerned about it.
- 12:48Speaker 7: I probably should be.
- 12:50Speaker 2: No, it tastes so good it's not worth being worried about.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Right, No, exactly, I do the same thing. I roll
- 12:56Speaker 3: that dice and I feel fine. And yes, cookie, you know,

- 18:31Speaker 2: Right, coming up next here with Toby and Chilly in
- 18:32Speaker 2: the morning. Are we all fed up with nickel and diming?
- 18:35Speaker 2: A story went viral this week after a woman got
- 18:37Speaker 2: upset for being charged a dollar for an extra sauce.
- 18:41Speaker 2: We'll share that story next. Toby and Chilly in the Morning,
- 18:45Speaker 2: ninety seven point one Wash FM. I'm kidd O'Shea. Are
- 18:48Speaker 2: we all fed up with nickel and diming?
- 18:50Speaker 3: Well, this woman in Kentucky certainly was. She went to
- 18:54Speaker 3: a little Caesar's restaurant. This was back in January, I guess,
- 18:57Speaker 3: but only now we're finding out about it because she
- 19:00Speaker 3: court she got so upset when there was a dollar
- 19:03Speaker 3: surcharge for extra sauce because she thought it would be free.
- 19:07Speaker 3: I just took a little extra sauce that she caused
- 19:10Speaker 3: over one thousand dollars of damage to the restaurant. Like
- 19:13Speaker 3: she was very upset. That's going overboard a reaction there,
- 19:19Speaker 3: But we've I think most of us have been in
- 19:22Speaker 3: a situation where we thought we were being nickel and
- 19:25Speaker 3: dimed and not happy about it.
- 19:27Speaker 2: Chili, there is a fast casual restaurant that I have
- 19:31Speaker 2: not returned to because they nickel and dimed me.
- 19:34Speaker 3: What did they do?
- 19:35Speaker 2: And this happened like a year and a half ago,
- 19:37Speaker 2: and I refuse to go back into this restaurant. Okay,
- 19:40Speaker 2: I had made a purchase and then I asked for
- 19:43Speaker 2: a cup of ice, and guess what they charged me
- 19:47Speaker 2: fifty cents for the cup of ice after I just
- 19:50Speaker 2: paid for a twelve dollars salad, and I was like goodbye.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Oh wow again day.
- 19:55Speaker 2: I didn't do one thousand dollars in damage, but I
- 19:57Speaker 2: probably cost them a thousand dollars in business.
- 20:00Speaker 3: Because you're never years. That's true.
- 20:02Speaker 2: What about you?
- 20:03Speaker 3: Well? Uh, yes, there is a restaurant that I have
- 20:06Speaker 3: not gone back to because of a nickolindime situation. Usually
- 20:09Speaker 3: when my son gets a kid's meal, what is included
- 20:12Speaker 3: is a drink for the child. Yeah, and he had
- 20:14Speaker 3: wanted to try iced tea. He's like, oh, I want
- 20:17Speaker 3: to try it. Sure, he didn't like it, and instead
- 20:19Speaker 3: of having that iced tea go to waste, I drank it.
- 20:23Speaker 3: The server saw me drinking his iced tea and ended
- 20:26Speaker 3: up charging me for a beverage. I'm like, no, that
- 20:28Speaker 3: was my son. She's like, yeah, but you drank it.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Oh no, are you serious? I'm back, No, I'm not.
- 20:34Speaker 3: There are plenty of other restaurants we can go to
- 20:36Speaker 3: that have good kids.
