- 0:52Speaker 2: out there and listening. Aline h It is President's Day
- 0:58Speaker 2: comand you Greg lets mean that traffic is light around town.
- 1:03Speaker 2: So that is always a sign even if you are
- 1:07Speaker 2: not aware. If you're ride around in Atlanta and you
- 1:12Speaker 2: go your usual route and no one is stopping and
- 1:18Speaker 2: making a mess of traffic, there's something going on today.
- 1:22Speaker 2: You just didn't realize it. It didn't click until you
- 1:27Speaker 2: get to your debt. Man. That only took ten minutes.
- 1:30Speaker 2: It usually take an hour, and then you start thinking
- 1:33Speaker 2: what's going on President's Day? That's why because comanchie. Greg
- 1:38Speaker 2: typically comes second, but Kenny usually is here first. Lantie
- 1:43Speaker 2: is second. Baby duca kind of get here when he chooses.
- 1:47Speaker 2: No matter what the day, Ah, it's always traffic on
- 1:52Speaker 2: his side. It's always trafficing his way. But Valentine's Day happened.
- 1:57Speaker 2: I hope you validated your love.
- 2:00Speaker 10: Uh.
- 2:00Speaker 2: Big Kenny looked like he had a long weekend validating
- 2:03Speaker 2: his command you, Greg, did you say you celebrated it
- 2:07Speaker 2: this year or you skipped it? I skipped it? Okay,
- 2:10Speaker 2: Well that's that's don't say it. But speak up when
- 2:13Speaker 2: you say I skipped it. Okay, I say you a
- 2:15Speaker 2: lot of time and effort and money.
- 2:18Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 2:19Speaker 2: Yeah, it's six weeks from Christmas. It's a horrific moment
- 2:25Speaker 2: as far as congestion and all that kind of stuff
- 2:28Speaker 2: is everybody. The food does not taste better because they
- 2:32Speaker 2: went up in prices or you had to wait on
- 2:35Speaker 2: three hours for it. It's the same pizza pizza, whether
- 2:40Speaker 2: it gets there in twenty minutes or three hours, but
- 2:43Speaker 2: it's in the shape of a heart. See see, thank you,
- 2:47Speaker 2: command you Greg. Because he was making me question my
- 2:50Speaker 2: choices and you youre he's ready to pay that thirty
- 2:55Speaker 2: dollars extra feet.
- 2:56Speaker 11: But it's in the shape of a heart, though, right,
- 2:59Speaker 11: And that's what I'm saying. That's why, that's what the
- 3:01Speaker 11: thirty dollars you made me appreciate. Where that thirty dollars
- 3:04Speaker 11: goes to shape of the heart and.
- 3:06Speaker 2: The bad produce in the building. A little sick. I'm
- 3:10Speaker 2: still kissing everybody he can get a chance to see.
- 3:13Speaker 2: But he's here. Thank you for coming up and coming in. Sick, brother,
- 3:18Speaker 2: just a head cold, just a hell little silence. That's sick.
- 3:24Speaker 2: That's man. You blew your nose. You blew your nose
- 3:27Speaker 2: like thirty eight seconds. I've never heard nobody blow their
- 3:31Speaker 2: nose that long. I mean that ain't so so either
- 3:37Speaker 2: you got sientuces or drug addicts. I was almost about
- 3:40Speaker 2: to get some lightshol out. Maybe you should still get
- 3:43Speaker 2: that out, because you know, maybe you should still get
- 3:48Speaker 2: that out.
- 3:48Speaker 11: He's not sick unless we get us like one of
- 3:51Speaker 11: those shields that they had when COVID first came. Remember
- 3:55Speaker 11: when you used to go to the a cashier and
- 3:57Speaker 11: they had the plastic shield between you and the people.
- 4:00Speaker 11: We can get him one of those for today of
- 4:02Speaker 11: a validate swing by those stories today. Those those roses,
- 4:05Speaker 11: you can get them for twenty five dollars. They were
- 4:09Speaker 11: selling for one hundred.
- 4:14Speaker 12: Quarter You got got anyway, excuse me, you paid over
- 4:18Speaker 12: twenty five dollars. You got got because just on the
- 4:21Speaker 12: side of the road they selling them for on Valentine's Day,
- 4:24Speaker 12: you got.
- 4:25Speaker 11: Bears dose roses are stolen. You have you have to
- 4:32Speaker 11: get roses from a legitimate rose. The lady they got
- 4:38Speaker 11: a tent up. The sign is the Rose distributed fly
- 4:45Speaker 11: making legitimate.
- 4:46Speaker 12: Hey, she's sitting out there with a money pouch and
- 4:48Speaker 12: a listen squat.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Make sure something right because your life. Where would I
- 4:56Speaker 2: have run into this lady without effort?
- 5:00Speaker 12: Man?
- 5:00Speaker 2: They was all over. I didn't see one side of
- 5:04Speaker 2: the road rose vendor. I actually in the last six
- 5:12Speaker 2: months haven't seen a side of the road vendor of anything.
- 5:17Speaker 2: So most people if you just when when the last
- 5:21Speaker 2: time you saw the side of the road vendor. Oh,
- 5:22Speaker 2: I saw them over Valentine's Day. They figurines like ceramics
- 5:30Speaker 2: in Marietta. Okay, Yeah, come Benjie. I saw in uh
- 5:37Speaker 2: Tucker and Stowe Mountain. Yeah, in front of so if
- 5:42Speaker 2: I saw a road standing coming from north south Carolina
- 5:46Speaker 2: to here. I probably would have got those twelve dollars roads,
- 5:51Speaker 2: but I'm not driving to Chattanooka.
- 5:54Speaker 13: You ain't got a Jia.
- 5:58Speaker 2: It was probably could have went on the west end
- 6:00Speaker 2: right there.
- 6:00Speaker 12: That's still in the city of north Side Drive they
- 6:03Speaker 12: usually have they usually have them over there and uh
- 6:06Speaker 12: right off chester Bridge right there on that.
- 6:09Speaker 13: Lower part where the little CD area.
- 6:13Speaker 14: Did he say CD CD area cd CD CD as
- 6:19Speaker 14: in the as in kind of scary, school sty questionable,
- 6:23Speaker 14: sketchy area.
- 6:24Speaker 2: Yeah, that's where I want to go before I go
- 6:27Speaker 2: out on a date.
- 6:28Speaker 13: With the level of my life, I'm gonna go risk
- 6:31Speaker 13: my life for the four dollars saving on the stolen roads.
- 6:34Speaker 13: Just always do the math. Make sure you're saving money.
- 6:37Speaker 2: Okay, that's all I as a span because sometimes trying
- 6:40Speaker 2: to go find the gas that's fifty cent cheaper, you
- 6:43Speaker 2: don't realize you basically you that much gas.
- 6:47Speaker 12: You're talking about cheaper. I'm mad because of something that
- 6:49Speaker 12: I just live sports jot.
- 6:51Speaker 13: There is the thing from having back in the restaurant.
- 6:53Speaker 2: I'm glad you can go chet GPT or whatever your
- 6:57Speaker 2: in the restaurant business.
- 6:58Speaker 14: We put those meal deals together a lot of that
- 7:01Speaker 14: with what we would call a perceived value, it actually.
- 7:06Speaker 13: Costing you a little more.
- 7:08Speaker 11: But because we put it together, you thinking you so
- 7:12Speaker 11: some of that may be the same thing with your roses.
- 7:14Speaker 2: You're thinking you get the deal because you drove all
- 7:17Speaker 2: the way to where Kanye is.
- 7:19Speaker 15: Did you say, see what I'm saying, wherever you drive
- 7:24Speaker 15: to go get the twenty five dollar roses and then
- 7:27Speaker 15: you go in the actual place that sales roses and
- 7:30Speaker 15: the roses are you twenty six dollars?
- 7:33Speaker 13: Yes or no?
- 7:34Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 7:35Speaker 2: Are you cheap? Yeah, you're cheap? Yes, Greg, Yeah, Big Kenny.
- 7:41Speaker 2: Would you say people would say you're cheap?
- 7:44Speaker 13: Excuse me? I know, I don't know.
- 7:47Speaker 2: I was worrying. Dwayne Wade was talking about Lebron James
- 7:50Speaker 2: and he said, Lebron, it's cheap.
- 7:53Speaker 13: But Austin Reeves said that Lebron it's not cheap. He's
- 7:58Speaker 13: just I don't know what he's see. He's just smart
- 8:01Speaker 13: with his money.
- 8:03Speaker 8: Le Bron is cheap as in, you know, using he
- 8:06Speaker 8: has a Spotify account. He uses the free version with
- 8:09Speaker 8: the ads.
- 8:10Speaker 2: I would too.
- 8:13Speaker 13: I appreciate the value of money, and that's all. It's
- 8:16Speaker 13: just Lebron. Usually you still, but people see that it's cheap.
- 8:22Speaker 2: So I was wondering. But everybody don't know what their
- 8:25Speaker 2: friends stand. That's why I asked. You think people will
- 8:28Speaker 2: say Greg Manchi, Greg is cheap?
- 8:33Speaker 16: Uh.
- 8:34Speaker 13: They probably say, yeah, definitely, we'll be back the All
- 8:40Speaker 13: Star Game over the week.
- 8:45Speaker 2: Yeah, gregs you walk in the door to make sure
- 8:48Speaker 2: I didn't ask him any questions about it.
- 8:51Speaker 13: Well, he said down, He said, I didn't.
- 8:55Speaker 17: Look like a bad grade on your report card. He
- 8:58Speaker 17: put out a computer or nothing, he put sports job show.

- 11:40Speaker 1: date but a year to make gloves?
- 11:41Speaker 2: She wanted you to wait. Let me tell you a
- 11:44Speaker 2: story of my situation. I was talking to this girl
- 11:47Speaker 2: from the US nation the way that I'm met. We's
- 11:50Speaker 2: back to this boy shock Shop this boy shock, Wayne Gandy.
- 11:54Speaker 2: Good morning to you out there and listening. Land. Glad
- 11:58Speaker 2: to be here with you this day. I'm quite sure
- 12:02Speaker 2: everybody loves a day off after Valentine's Day on Saturday,
- 12:07Speaker 2: got to get some rest. A lot of reservations got
- 12:11Speaker 2: pushed back, which is always interesting. I don't know how
- 12:16Speaker 2: you gave me a reservation at eight, but I'm eating
- 12:19Speaker 2: at ten. It's like I could have just walked in
- 12:23Speaker 2: in a sense at that point. But President's Day here.
- 12:26Speaker 2: The NBA All Star Game once again changed the format yesterday,
- 12:32Speaker 2: and I knew that Team Stripes, which was KD and
- 12:37Speaker 2: Kawhi and Lebron. I knew they were in trouble when
- 12:40Speaker 2: I saw the format. That's how you beat the good
- 12:46Speaker 2: old veteran players down at the City Wreck. I'm a
- 12:53Speaker 2: run with big Man. You let him run a couple
- 12:55Speaker 2: of games and then you catch them about game five
- 13:01Speaker 2: they spent. And that's how Anthony it was yesterday they
- 13:06Speaker 2: caught him because if you watched the format, Anthony Etwards
- 13:10Speaker 2: team which was a Team Stars, they started playing the
- 13:15Speaker 2: International team like Team International. They beat him in the
- 13:20Speaker 2: first game, and then Lebron in that team Kawhi Donovan Mitchell,
- 13:27Speaker 2: which the age difference was crazy, Like they the team
- 13:32Speaker 2: Katie and Lebron was on there, they were like average
- 13:35Speaker 2: age thirty two. The other two teams were like twenty
- 13:39Speaker 2: one twenty three. But once Anthony Ette was then one,
- 13:44Speaker 2: Lebron and his team came out. They won the next game,
- 13:48Speaker 2: which means they had to stay. And then they won
- 13:51Speaker 2: the game against the international players, which means they had
- 13:54Speaker 2: to stay. And at that point that means that man
- 13:57Speaker 2: and his team got to go rest up. And an
- 14:02Speaker 2: hour and a half later they come back on the
- 14:04Speaker 2: court and put that thing on them old men, you
- 14:07Speaker 2: know how you like to put on them old dudes, Like, yeah,
- 14:10Speaker 2: you know, they went a couple of games they cheat.
- 14:13Speaker 11: Okay, so it was the World, the Stars and the Stripes, Okay,
- 14:18Speaker 11: because I didn't now now this is this was a
- 14:23Speaker 11: this was a new format, outside of the new format,
- 14:26Speaker 11: outside of the new format, Okay, because there was a
- 14:28Speaker 11: new format.
- 14:30Speaker 2: They're trying in there. They're trying things to try to
- 14:33Speaker 2: keep the All Star Game alive, and they're trying things
- 14:37Speaker 2: to figure out a way to get the guys to
- 14:40Speaker 2: play a little more competitive. I mean, the competitive part
- 14:45Speaker 2: went out. The window when salaries went out the window.
- 14:49Speaker 2: I keep telling people, not so much of effort you
- 14:53Speaker 2: would like, but the people you loved. And when you
- 14:55Speaker 2: go back and romanticize things like the dunk Hunt tests
- 15:01Speaker 2: and all those different events the eighties, oh this player
- 15:06Speaker 2: should have It was Mike was winning those things. Dominique
- 15:10Speaker 2: was in those things because that was their off season money. Yes, sir, yes, sir.
- 15:16Speaker 2: Back in them days. If I get this, fool yourself.
- 15:19Speaker 11: If I get this one fifty for winning this dunk contest,
- 15:23Speaker 11: I don't have to play in.
- 15:27Speaker 2: Israel on the off season. It's the same thing with
- 15:30Speaker 2: winning the game. It was a mindset that, Okay, if
- 15:35Speaker 2: we win, it's just say seventy grand, but if we lose,
- 15:40Speaker 2: it's twenty five. That meant something. Before you start playing
- 15:45Speaker 2: paying guys fifty million a year, right, They're like, oh,
- 15:49Speaker 2: we want some more effort. No, but they did. I'll
- 15:52Speaker 2: make nine million dollars tomorrow. It was heyday. I mean,
- 15:57Speaker 2: just for you know, to go getting a La line,
- 16:00Speaker 2: I'll get nine million.
- 16:01Speaker 12: In an interview with the NBA TV Asy Edwards, he
- 16:06Speaker 12: did say that I'm not saying nothing bad about Luca Joker,
- 16:11Speaker 12: but these guys don't want to play an All Star game,
- 16:14Speaker 12: and he just he said it right after the All
- 16:16Speaker 12: Star Game. So if he understands that and feel that,
- 16:21Speaker 12: what why are they? I mean, what is the NBA
- 16:24Speaker 12: gonna do if those are two of your stars and
- 16:27Speaker 12: they don't want to play.
- 16:29Speaker 2: Well. Kevin Durant mentioned that Luca and a Joker wasn't
- 16:37Speaker 2: that big of an interest, and maybe because in our
- 16:41Speaker 2: country it's our country's All Star game more than maybe
- 16:45Speaker 2: they feel like it's theirs. I don't know how much
- 16:49Speaker 2: we make them feel like there, it's there their baby
- 16:56Speaker 2: as much as they're they're just add ons in those situations.
- 17:00Speaker 11: Yeah, you you babysitting your nephew and I'm at your house,
- 17:04Speaker 11: so we kind of both babysitting your nephew.
- 17:07Speaker 2: I think this team, this team uh world thing might
- 17:13Speaker 2: give them that feeling. Okay, we got something in this,
- 17:16Speaker 2: But it's just like both of those guys as far
- 17:17Speaker 2: as even marketing, it doesn't necessarily help their marketing as
- 17:22Speaker 2: much as it helps the US base. So I don't
- 17:24Speaker 2: know how much they feel like it's their thing because
- 17:32Speaker 2: we want to see it, but they might always feel
- 17:34Speaker 2: like outsiders and you're talking about guys that don't from
- 17:39Speaker 2: what we see, don't really live here on the off season,
- 17:42Speaker 2: right right, And they don't really they're not over here
- 17:47Speaker 2: calling themselves Serbian Americans or you know, they I came
- 17:53Speaker 2: over to play in the NBA and then I go
- 17:55Speaker 2: wherever I go.
- 17:56Speaker 11: Back to Serbia. Now, we we often talk about the
- 18:01Speaker 11: and that's just the point I'm just saying. I was
- 18:05Speaker 11: just wondering, like I didn't know Kevin Durant had said.
- 18:07Speaker 11: I know Anthony Edwards had said something and to the point.
- 18:10Speaker 12: And they even asked Joker because if he whether if
- 18:13Speaker 12: he won three more m vps or his horse is rent.
- 18:16Speaker 2: He said he rather for his horses rent.
- 18:18Speaker 12: So you know, it's just like I'm listening, you hear
- 18:22Speaker 12: these different things, and you just wonder, like, Okay, like
- 18:25Speaker 12: you said, he just come over to play.
- 18:27Speaker 11: He just come over here to give us that and
- 18:29Speaker 11: then gone, He's gone. And and I'm we often disparage
- 18:33Speaker 11: the NBA athlete that that does the load management thing.
- 18:40Speaker 11: I'll play a game and then I'm gonna need two
- 18:42Speaker 11: games off. Then I'll play a game. Uh, are there
- 18:47Speaker 11: any considerations for a Luca A Joker not being there?
- 18:52Speaker 11: Because instead of load management during the season, I'm just
- 18:56Speaker 11: use the All Star break to get my knees rested.
- 19:00Speaker 11: I'm just use the All Star break to take a
- 19:02Speaker 11: little breather.
- 19:02Speaker 2: You know what I'm saying.
- 19:03Speaker 11: I mean, this dude, out of eighty games, he played
- 19:07Speaker 11: seven and I'm playing I played seventy two games and
- 19:12Speaker 11: no All Star Game because that's where I put my energy.
- 19:16Speaker 11: Is there any consideration for that or is it just
- 19:19Speaker 11: I make too much money to play or I don't
- 19:22Speaker 11: live here so I won't play.
- 19:25Speaker 2: No, that's what I'm saying. I don't know their tutelage
- 19:27Speaker 2: of the game as far as they might believe that
- 19:30Speaker 2: we should just be on break right right like the
- 19:35Speaker 2: You know, that's because I wonder about that. Why why
- 19:37Speaker 2: they just might feel like we should have five days off? Yes, yes, yea,
- 19:43Speaker 2: even after the All Star Game. Yeah, I'm just sid
- 19:45Speaker 2: we don't need to me coming out here and still
- 19:48Speaker 2: doing what I'm supposed to be off doing.
- 19:51Speaker 4: Is not off.
- 19:51Speaker 2: Yeah, that's that's and that's the part I've always wondered about.
- 19:56Speaker 23: It.
- 19:57Speaker 12: But like you say, though, that was the thing, like
- 20:00Speaker 12: at the time, I know you got NBA TV. You
- 20:03Speaker 12: can see the players. Boy, but that was when you
- 20:05Speaker 12: got to see like George Gervin or those players. You
- 20:07Speaker 12: didn't get to see a debor or maybe that was
- 20:09Speaker 12: on the All uh doing the record season. You saw
- 20:12Speaker 12: them during the All Star Game when you look.
- 20:14Speaker 2: Forward to that. So oh no, you can see them
- 20:16Speaker 2: any day, anytime. We'll be back more to Sports Jock

- 23:15Speaker 2: Welcome back to this one shot shot this one shocks
- 23:17Speaker 2: Wing Candy. Good morning to you out there and listening Lane.
- 23:21Speaker 2: We were talking about the All Star Game over the
- 23:23Speaker 2: weekend NBA All Star Game. A lot of us forgot
- 23:26Speaker 2: it was even on I know I did until somebody
- 23:29Speaker 2: asked me what I was doing for the game on
- 23:32Speaker 2: Sunday and I was like, what game? And it was like, oh,
- 23:34Speaker 2: all Star Game. Even though we talked about it on Thursday,
- 23:38Speaker 2: I still forgot the game because it hasn't been a
- 23:40Speaker 2: lot of hooplah center around it. But I did catch
- 23:44Speaker 2: a little bit of the game. We will see where
- 23:49Speaker 2: they can take this. They had a new format. I
- 23:51Speaker 2: think this is about their fifth format in ten years.
- 23:54Speaker 2: They keep trying to figure out a way to generate
- 23:57Speaker 2: some interest in it. The bad do to hit on
- 24:00Speaker 2: something where sports is just so twenty four to seven.
- 24:05Speaker 2: You don't have to wait for the All Star Game
- 24:07Speaker 2: to get into a player's life anymore. At any point,
- 24:13Speaker 2: you just turn on a game, you can watch them
- 24:16Speaker 2: some kind of special, their documentary. There's so much that,
- 24:21Speaker 2: you know, lifestyle really has taken over the game. It
- 24:26Speaker 2: can show you so much of a player time life.
- 24:29Speaker 2: Used to be.
- 24:31Speaker 11: Guys that played in like Detroit, Chicago would get to
- 24:33Speaker 11: the All Star Game and be like Mann.
- 24:35Speaker 2: Go John stocked it.
- 24:38Speaker 11: They were excited to see people from the West Coast
- 24:41Speaker 11: and people like that.
- 24:42Speaker 2: But now, yeah, a lot of them train together and
- 24:48Speaker 2: all that kind of stuff. They travel together, so they
- 24:51Speaker 2: come through these traveled leagues when they're little.
- 24:54Speaker 11: They're not separate like they you know, they've been playing
- 24:57Speaker 11: together since fourteen and now yeah, I understand that part.
- 25:01Speaker 2: They leave their high schools and go to these different
- 25:04Speaker 2: you know, Thomas Academy somewhere and end up there was
- 25:09Speaker 2: teammates yeah in high school. So, uh, it's just so
- 25:13Speaker 2: much connection. But the All Star Game happened. Uh, President
- 25:17Speaker 2: Obama was there. Good job Reggie Miller bringing light to
- 25:21Speaker 2: the Obama Obama Center. It's opening up on the South
- 25:25Speaker 2: side of Chicago this summer. They're gonna have a full
- 25:28Speaker 2: court basketball court in there. I like to see President
- 25:32Speaker 2: in high school because he talked like he had, talked
- 25:34Speaker 2: like he had he was like he was a legend
- 25:39Speaker 2: that we just didn't know. I had John Blaze now.
- 25:42Speaker 11: Now because now, even when uh he was president, there
- 25:47Speaker 11: were whispers of him having a pretty decent jumper, And
- 25:52Speaker 11: I always wondered, was it that he had a decent
- 25:54Speaker 11: jumper or did he just have a decent jumper for
- 25:57Speaker 11: a president.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Because there there's a always that uh, that qualifying factor.
- 26:03Speaker 11: Well, man, he cold on the court, but you had
- 26:05Speaker 11: the last dude you played was Ronald Reagan, so you know,
- 26:09Speaker 11: compared to the two, he was way colder and Reagan
- 26:13Speaker 11: but still.
- 26:14Speaker 2: But a good interview by him. I didn't know that
- 26:17Speaker 2: it was being built, but glad to hear that information
- 26:20Speaker 2: and a positive beacon on the South Side from what
- 26:23Speaker 2: we have never been there, but from what we hear
- 26:24Speaker 2: about something like this could maybe bringing other investors and
- 26:29Speaker 2: really pour into that community and help it grow. You
- 26:33Speaker 2: never know what could be the spark. I was hoping
- 26:35Speaker 2: that I got Barock though, because he looked like he
- 26:37Speaker 2: talked some trash. Yeah, but he went he was You
- 26:40Speaker 2: could tell as he was answering the question. I give
- 26:44Speaker 2: him rock. I'm gonna keep it.
- 26:46Speaker 11: Keep mister president. Hello, Regie, Hello, holo along. You don't
- 26:50Speaker 11: want these handles, don't want I'm an ankle breaker. I'm
- 26:55Speaker 11: an ankle breaker.
- 26:57Speaker 2: But good to see President Obama enjoying his post. I
- 27:02Speaker 2: always love to see the presidents having a chance to
- 27:04Speaker 2: go live there post and be people and get taken
- 27:08Speaker 2: out of that that hold on. He's got to use
- 27:11Speaker 2: the bathroom.
- 27:12Speaker 11: Sweep the bathroom, somebody, sweet, It's only it's one person
- 27:17Speaker 11: baths at my house. It's a bathroom we needed. He
- 27:21Speaker 11: just sweep the bathroom. Man, I just want you know.
- 27:24Speaker 11: I can't imagine that gets a bit much after it
- 27:26Speaker 11: gets a bit much. They asked Lebron after the game
- 27:29Speaker 11: will be his last? When I when he was saying
- 27:32Speaker 11: I just want to live, I think that's why I
- 27:35Speaker 11: salute the young man. I think that's why you don't
- 27:39Speaker 11: get a lot of Michael Jordan's after he retired. I
- 27:44Speaker 11: think those people got hounded so much. When he's saying
- 27:48Speaker 11: he just want to live, it sounds like he wished
- 27:52Speaker 11: he could just play one year of basketball where he
- 27:54Speaker 11: could just go play basketball.
- 27:57Speaker 2: You know, you never just wanted to live, show up
- 28:00Speaker 2: to the arena. You ever just wanted to live and
- 28:02Speaker 2: just well, No, I that was one of the best
- 28:06Speaker 2: things about being an old lineman, right, Your notoriety just
- 28:12Speaker 2: kind of goes so far that people recognize you once
- 28:17Speaker 2: you say your name, right, and it's like yeah, and
- 28:21Speaker 2: then they can tell you your life story right up
- 28:23Speaker 2: until that point, you know, which is a great thing.
- 28:28Speaker 2: You be thinking, you be standing there and everybody wants
- 28:31Speaker 2: to run to the people you're with, and you feel, No,
- 28:34Speaker 2: I like that. I don't have to I.
- 28:36Speaker 11: Don't have to put up with that on a Saturday morning.
- 28:39Speaker 11: I'm just trying to get a cup of coffee in
- 28:41Speaker 11: and donut.
- 28:46Speaker 2: You don't have to tell him, you know, when they
- 28:48Speaker 2: ask him that, I thought he was just kind of saying.
- 28:51Speaker 2: I thought at some point I was just gonna get
- 28:54Speaker 2: the go coman. You you're gonna roll the ball out
- 28:59Speaker 2: and I'm what's going to get to play. But it
- 29:02Speaker 2: seems like I'm never going to get to do that
- 29:03Speaker 2: in this gig, right, And always have to be I
- 29:09Speaker 2: always have.
- 29:09Speaker 11: To be on and when you're trying to when you're
- 29:13Speaker 11: passionate about something and when you're competitive, Getting to be
- 29:18Speaker 11: that person might be something that you imagine, but once
- 29:23Speaker 11: you get there, you never thought being that person would
- 29:26Speaker 11: take away your ability to have a regular, decent life.
- 29:30Speaker 11: You never thought it would hinder your quality of life.
- 29:33Speaker 11: I just wanted to be a champion. And now you know,
- 29:37Speaker 11: somebody sweeping the bathroom, you know what I'm saying before
- 29:40Speaker 11: I can go in, and I can imagine those are
- 29:43Speaker 11: things that you don't really see in the beginning.
- 29:46Speaker 2: Yeah, even with his retirement, man, like you said, I'll
- 29:49Speaker 2: let you know, and I know, take that before what
- 29:55Speaker 2: you want. But I do know very few stars get
- 29:58Speaker 2: to even because Jordan has done it post career where
- 30:01Speaker 2: he's done a good job. I think some of his
- 30:04Speaker 2: retirement that time was because he just needed a moment
- 30:08Speaker 2: to just chill and I just relax for a second,
- 30:12Speaker 2: or nobody's watching in Birmingham. Yeah, I'm going to go
- 30:17Speaker 2: to and try to breathe and get some of this
- 30:21Speaker 2: gray hair to leave me. But Michael Jordan's doing a
- 30:24Speaker 2: great job him and Joe Montana. I was trying to
- 30:28Speaker 2: think of guys that the biggest life that kind of
- 30:33Speaker 2: really was able to take their life back. Yeah, where
- 30:37Speaker 2: you didn't over they're moving the spotlight, they're able to
- 30:43Speaker 2: still move without the spotlight always there. But good to
- 30:49Speaker 2: see the All Star Game that world thing, though, I
- 30:53Speaker 2: don't know if we won't really want that smoke. I
- 30:55Speaker 2: wrote down a little roster. I don't think we just
- 30:58Speaker 2: will win, because we will win now we went in
- 31:01Speaker 2: the Olympics because these people aren't galvanized. But if you
- 31:05Speaker 2: put Janna's Wemby, Luca Joker, s g A, Jamaul Murray Marketing,
- 31:13Speaker 2: and Karl Anthony Towns on the team, don't just think
- 31:19Speaker 2: he's gonna roll the ball out there.
- 31:22Speaker 11: Town from where he from. He's from Dominican Republicans. With
- 31:26Speaker 11: a name like Karl Anthony Towns, you just snuff in here.
- 31:29Speaker 11: You can't be doing that, bruh. You got to have
- 31:32Speaker 11: it from Dominican republic market You gotta be Anthony Town
- 31:45Speaker 11: and didn't want to play for the world team.
- 31:48Speaker 12: No, that's a that's a local name. You got a
- 31:52Speaker 12: local guy name. Well, at the Olympics, we're blessed. We
- 31:55Speaker 12: got some skaters that hey, I thought they should be
- 31:58Speaker 12: on another team, but I'm happy they with us.
- 32:02Speaker 8: It's Kat's mother who is Dominican, and so he has
- 32:07Speaker 8: his father's last day.
- 32:08Speaker 12: Was he born in the Dominican though? No, So how
- 32:13Speaker 12: does he get to play with that team? I thought
- 32:15Speaker 12: his mother is Dominican. He was on the world team yesterday.
- 32:19Speaker 12: He's played for the Dominican nationals. So his dad is
- 32:22Speaker 12: African American and his mama's Dominican. Yes, and we didn't
- 32:26Speaker 12: all have to love Dominican.
- 32:29Speaker 2: You know what I mean? You come home now. I
- 32:34Speaker 2: was just watching and I'm sitting here like, Okay, we
- 32:38Speaker 2: beat these guys when they're separate, when SG go back
- 32:40Speaker 2: to Canada and Lucul go back to his country and Joker, Now,
- 32:44Speaker 2: y'all just gonna play him as a world team. I
- 32:50Speaker 2: don't know, so versus the world I'm saying that. Yeah,
- 32:57Speaker 2: I'm saying that's a pay for view event. You don't
- 33:00Speaker 2: have the world team.
- 33:01Speaker 12: It's like the Rider Cup now, you know what I'm saying.
- 33:04Speaker 12: It ain't just be playing School Rory and Irin Ireland.
- 33:08Speaker 12: You're playing Worry Ireland, Barcelona, Spain and everybody.
- 33:14Speaker 11: Do you do you think that they don't set it
- 33:17Speaker 11: up that way? Because they're trying to unify basketball, like
- 33:23Speaker 11: make it a world fans game, uh, instead of saying,
- 33:29Speaker 11: like you know, because that almost seems like it's uh
- 33:32Speaker 11: riding in the Olympic lane. I thought, if we play
- 33:35Speaker 11: the world and then against the Stars and Stripes, that's
- 33:37Speaker 11: kind of well.
- 33:38Speaker 2: I felt yesterday was a test, a little sample. That
- 33:43Speaker 2: sample right there, Like you know when you go to
- 33:45Speaker 2: the food court at the mall. I got a little trade,
- 33:49Speaker 2: y'all know, y'all, y'all, but the tooth picky, I know, y'all, go,
- 33:52Speaker 2: but they say, slow roll hold on that sea's a
- 33:57Speaker 2: little small. Let me see. Hold on, hold on now
- 33:59Speaker 2: you say this roast, you got chicken and beef, just beef. Okay, okay.
- 34:05Speaker 2: I like that you tried something at cost cos they're
- 34:08Speaker 2: just over there, bacon, they're just getting it away. Let
- 34:12Speaker 2: me get three of these.
- 34:13Speaker 11: See, I don't remember when you you could tell who's
- 34:17Speaker 11: been doing it a while. Because the people that are
- 34:19Speaker 11: new to it, they'll spend the aisle and come back
- 34:22Speaker 11: like they can't just get it all to me.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I go, yeah, you need to put some more of
- 34:27Speaker 2: them in.
- 34:28Speaker 11: Go ahead and want some more because I'm gonna get
- 34:30Speaker 11: these little five right here, this good way?
- 34:32Speaker 2: Where can I get this the whole sixth piece? Oh yeah,
- 34:37Speaker 2: hold on, I'm gonna go get my wife, maybe come
- 34:41Speaker 2: and eat somebody. But yesterday I felt like that was
- 34:43Speaker 2: a little well, how would the world react to Team World?
- 34:49Speaker 2: I just want Commanchi and bad Producer because they're getting
- 34:51Speaker 2: their feelings. If we don't win and see, then you
- 34:57Speaker 2: can't come back and play for your American team any more.
- 35:00Speaker 2: Sgab out the.
- 35:03Speaker 8: Last seven MVPs have been from an international player. We
- 35:08Speaker 8: already behind.
- 35:09Speaker 2: We'll be back that true, we'll be back right after this.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Have a thought about that?
- 35:18Speaker 5: Wow?

- 38:11Speaker 2: T HBCU coaches are grappling with their top players leaving
- 38:16Speaker 2: for the Power four programs. We've hit on this a
- 38:19Speaker 2: little bit, but most of the times we talk about
- 38:21Speaker 2: the lower level when we talk about like the app
- 38:25Speaker 2: States or the Troy's or the South Dakota, you know,
- 38:29Speaker 2: the smaller the d VD one schools that are smaller.
- 38:34Speaker 2: We forgot about. HBCU players are primed and ready to
- 38:38Speaker 2: be post yes, and they say it has worsen with
- 38:43Speaker 2: the n I L landscape, which I'm quite sure it is.
- 38:47Speaker 2: And everybody's using this mindset of because you do have
- 38:53Speaker 2: the n I L I don't have to be set
- 38:56Speaker 2: on a particular player or even the idea that I
- 39:00Speaker 2: won't be able to replace someone. I can just go
- 39:05Speaker 2: get the swack player of the year every year. I
- 39:11Speaker 2: could just go get him to replace whatever position I
- 39:15Speaker 2: already have. He's going to probably be three years in.
- 39:18Speaker 2: He's going to be, you know, a junior when I
- 39:21Speaker 2: get him, so it's not like I'm getting a young kid.
- 39:24Speaker 2: He's going to be coming from a great educational school
- 39:28Speaker 2: most likely. So I'm checking boxes and he was the
- 39:33Speaker 2: swack player of the year, so I know he could
- 39:35Speaker 2: play the position, play some of the position. And that's
- 39:39Speaker 2: what these coaches and you're talking about. On HBCU level.
- 39:43Speaker 2: Not a lot of money there to, you know, to
- 39:47Speaker 2: be able to not a lot of ability, especially on
- 39:49Speaker 2: the NIL part when you have big companies coming that
- 39:53Speaker 2: you're already in. They're trying to get got people like
- 39:57Speaker 2: Chris Paul who's retiring, who's been trying to build pipe
- 40:00Speaker 2: lines for the big companies, the Coca Colas and the
- 40:04Speaker 2: Nikes to be part of the HBU C HBCU. But
- 40:09Speaker 2: a lot of that comes around when you get around
- 40:11Speaker 2: to like tournaments, sponsorship, not game the game. You know,
- 40:17Speaker 2: you go to a North Carolina duke, everybody in they
- 40:20Speaker 2: got a shoe contract. When you go to their matchup,
- 40:24Speaker 2: that kind of thing. The game was gonna you know,
- 40:27Speaker 2: they're fighting over who's gonna be to havelftime. But like Kepsig,
- 40:32Speaker 2: you know, Mountain Dew, the bount don't have time show
- 40:35Speaker 2: that they're fighting over these rights for those kind of games.
- 40:38Speaker 2: HBCU level gets that more or less when it's like
- 40:41Speaker 2: a championship game. So you know, I don't know if
- 40:47Speaker 2: there's anything they can do other than change it to
- 40:50Speaker 2: some kind of mandate that if you sign you have
- 40:54Speaker 2: to stay two years. But I wasn't coming down here
- 40:56Speaker 2: for two years anyway, right, I was getting that junior Well,
- 40:59Speaker 2: and how are you going to make me stay two
- 41:02Speaker 2: years here? Where I went to Kentucky for one year.
- 41:07Speaker 2: I was a Kentucky for basketball season. And if I
- 41:10Speaker 2: can do it at Kentucky, surely I can do it
- 41:12Speaker 2: at what Norfolk State? Yeah, you'll let me come here
- 41:15Speaker 2: for basketball season. So that was one of the things
- 41:18Speaker 2: that I think they tried to forecast when NIL first
- 41:22Speaker 2: started to come around, and I remember asking our former
- 41:28Speaker 2: correspondent Sterling Stewart about that, and he said that they
- 41:33Speaker 2: were just going to basically eliminate a lot of those
- 41:36Speaker 2: programs who were unable to compete financially. I can't. We
- 41:40Speaker 2: don't have a trust of.
- 41:45Speaker 11: A treasure chest that is financed by our alumni that
- 41:50Speaker 11: will go out and get us the top player. So
- 41:54Speaker 11: eventually our program will just have to It'll be an attrition.
- 41:58Speaker 2: And basically the Power Forward turned everything outside of the
- 42:03Speaker 2: Power for into community college pretty much. That's basically what
- 42:07Speaker 2: they turned it into because community college is where a
- 42:10Speaker 2: lot of UH players went. A lot of teams, even
- 42:16Speaker 2: my time thirty years ago at Auburn. Every year we
- 42:19Speaker 2: bring somebody from some community college because you always had
- 42:23Speaker 2: guys that maybe couldn't pass the grade. Community college where
- 42:26Speaker 2: you win. If you don't pass SAT, you didn't want
- 42:29Speaker 2: to be a prop forty eight and sit out, you
- 42:31Speaker 2: went to community college, right and got it going pro
- 42:35Speaker 2: forty eight don't exist, right, That's what I mean. So
- 42:38Speaker 2: they've basically turned every school into you know, let's go
- 42:44Speaker 2: around there, just train them up. Southern miss Yeah, that's
- 42:48Speaker 2: how Alabama looks at them. Y'all train them up. I'll
- 42:51Speaker 2: come down here be.
- 42:52Speaker 12: Doing with football already with the HBCUs they've already pill it.
- 42:56Speaker 2: I mean going in and getting those players. Yeah, that's
- 42:59Speaker 2: what I mean.
- 42:59Speaker 12: They everybody for the football on the football side now
- 43:03Speaker 12: you know basketball, everybody's available now.
- 43:07Speaker 2: Yeah, so we will see how that works for them.
- 43:10Speaker 2: Lindsey Vaughn Hopefully it'll be back soon. I did read
- 43:13Speaker 2: one report the Great Skier one specialist ones that she
- 43:20Speaker 2: could have to have her leg amputated. He's already had
- 43:24Speaker 2: four surgeries on that leg, and I would imagine that
- 43:28Speaker 2: means that after all these surgeries, how would the blood flow? Yeah,
- 43:32Speaker 2: imagine with all that leg damage, Like, how will I
- 43:35Speaker 2: be able to because that's what it would be sitting
- 43:37Speaker 2: in the Yeah, yeah, we're gonna fix all this, But
- 43:40Speaker 2: then I can't gauge how it's gonna work as far
- 43:46Speaker 2: as blood clothes. And then you know, four surgeries on
- 43:49Speaker 2: a leg that I think had already had a surgery.
- 43:52Speaker 2: She was already out there on bad needs. She had
- 43:55Speaker 2: already torn her a c O for the crash. But
- 43:59Speaker 2: I'm saying before she went to this Olympics. That was
- 44:02Speaker 2: some of why she retired the first time. Yeah, she
- 44:04Speaker 2: had two or three knee surgeries. So now they're in
- 44:08Speaker 2: the knee and down in the tibula fibulave. So when
- 44:13Speaker 2: you read it, it sounds I don't know that they're
- 44:15Speaker 2: saying now, But you know, I started thinking about what
- 44:18Speaker 2: he's saying. He's just saying as only like forty two
- 44:24Speaker 2: that we get all this fix, we still got to
- 44:27Speaker 2: figure out how to get this blood flow in the
- 44:30Speaker 2: right direction for her. So I don't think I think
- 44:34Speaker 2: she's just trying to get the surgeries out of the
- 44:36Speaker 2: way and get back to the United States.
- 44:40Speaker 4: And she was hurt.
- 44:42Speaker 12: Actually what Greg was alluding to, she had actually hurt
- 44:46Speaker 12: her leg or knee before this. She went over there
- 44:49Speaker 12: actually hurt, knowing that she was hurting, then reinjured it.
- 44:52Speaker 12: Yeah again, So where was the doctors or someone that
- 44:56Speaker 12: was like, hey, this is what you're looking at.
- 44:59Speaker 2: No, when she went over she was clear, and then
- 45:03Speaker 2: a week before she had this this bad fall she
- 45:06Speaker 2: heard her hurt something. Yeah, that's and we talked about
- 45:09Speaker 2: the But the Olympic guiding Committee maybe allowed her to
- 45:13Speaker 2: sign off that they're not responsible for that.
- 45:16Speaker 12: Exactly due you hate to hear she have amputated them.
- 45:22Speaker 12: That's that's the only in that situation.
- 45:26Speaker 2: Yeah, So we will see where Lindsey Vaughn goes after this,
- 45:29Speaker 2: and we'll be back with more The Sports Jock Show
- 45:31Speaker 2: right after this mm hmm.

- 47:59Speaker 4: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 48:04Speaker 29: Center court on sports news gossip, blah blah blah, blah blah.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Welcome back to the Sports Shock Show. I'm the Sports
- 48:37Speaker 2: Shock Wayne Gantee. One of Dion Sander's former players had
- 48:42Speaker 2: some choice words about the coach of Colorado. Christian Fourier
- 48:47Speaker 2: is that you said his last name or four had
- 48:52Speaker 2: some comments about Dion. I say it has a lot
- 48:55Speaker 2: of people brainwashed about how good of a coach Chi
- 49:03Speaker 2: really is. And he also has some issues about Shaduur
- 49:11Speaker 2: sanders jersey being retired. And one of the things I
- 49:16Speaker 2: didn't know out of this story, which really is why
- 49:19Speaker 2: I'm talking about Deon Sanders, his son Saduur, who plays
- 49:23Speaker 2: with the Browns. They did retire him in Travis Hunter's
- 49:26Speaker 2: jersey right after the season basically last year, and a
- 49:31Speaker 2: lot of controversy came out of that. But as I
- 49:34Speaker 2: was reading the story, they don't have Darien Hagen in
- 49:42Speaker 2: the Colorado retired jerseys. He's not in their Hall of
- 49:47Speaker 2: Fame up there, And now I see why a lot
- 49:50Speaker 2: of the Colorado players might have that issue when you
- 49:56Speaker 2: look at the body of work Darien Hagen, three time
- 50:01Speaker 2: conference champion, won the national title. He was twenty eight,
- 50:05Speaker 2: five and two as a quarterback. Not up in the
- 50:11Speaker 2: rapt now. I you know, I can see why when
- 50:16Speaker 2: all that dust up a lot of players. I had
- 50:19Speaker 2: one or two players in my mind, but I thought
- 50:22Speaker 2: Darren Hagen was already up there.
- 50:24Speaker 8: I believe because we talked to her before. Like no
- 50:27Speaker 8: one from that national championship team as their number retired.
- 50:32Speaker 8: And I think that's been the problem at length with
- 50:37Speaker 8: the Shadoor and Travis Hunter jersey retiring. With Travis Hunter
- 50:41Speaker 8: he won Heisman, So there's an argument to be made.
- 50:44Speaker 8: But it's not that they retired those jerseys, it's whose
- 50:48Speaker 8: jerseys haven't been retired, and they retired those jerseys.
- 50:52Speaker 2: So I think that's been the thing this entire time. Yeah, so,
- 50:57Speaker 2: I mean I would start there, but from know the article,
- 51:02Speaker 2: it just seems the criticism seemed to be that the
- 51:06Speaker 2: young how do you say his name, Fario Fourier Fourier,
- 51:10Speaker 2: I just didn't feel like Dion and people are love Dion,
- 51:15Speaker 2: so they're overlooking. He's sixteen and twenty one now, three
- 51:21Speaker 2: years at Colorado, and one of those years he was
- 51:26Speaker 2: even won nine and four.
- 51:27Speaker 8: Fourier was on that national championship team, so he would
- 51:31Speaker 8: have a I understand like if those guys on that
- 51:34Speaker 8: team have a they have a case where they're thinking like, well,
- 51:41Speaker 8: these guys, you know, probably deserve it more. And when
- 51:44Speaker 8: he says people are overlooking with people, I'm not overlooking.
- 51:48Speaker 8: I talk about it all the time. I think he
- 51:51Speaker 8: was to be talking about the people that have the
- 51:53Speaker 8: power at Colorado. Okay, Okay, this happened. I was gonna say,
- 51:58Speaker 8: because I would, I would lump us in with people, yeah,
- 52:00Speaker 8: to let this happen. And we and we we bring
- 52:03Speaker 8: it up quite a bit here that they you know,
- 52:07Speaker 8: he ain't.
- 52:07Speaker 11: But sixteen and what's the what's there's no argument for
- 52:14Speaker 11: Travis Hunter.
- 52:14Speaker 2: You put your Heisman trophy when you want to Pusman Trophy,
- 52:17Speaker 2: there's no date you can do it today of the
- 52:19Speaker 2: Heisman Trophy. You just drive from wherever the trophy presentation
- 52:24Speaker 2: is and have the ceremony. That's just a done deal.
- 52:26Speaker 2: That's not an argument. But I do believe that Christian
- 52:34Speaker 2: has a great This is a great thing. I mean,
- 52:37Speaker 2: I don't know how you jumped Darien Hagen. If you
- 52:41Speaker 2: should do it, Sander so that producer you're quiet over there.
- 52:45Speaker 2: How do you do that?
- 52:46Speaker 11: Well?
- 52:50Speaker 12: My thing is, he says the powers to be of
- 52:53Speaker 12: the people of Colorado. I mean someone from Colorado prior
- 52:57Speaker 12: to this, his team, his coaches, or for someone there,
- 53:02Speaker 12: you know, should have made a fight for those gentlemen
- 53:06Speaker 12: to be in the Ring of Honor or the Jersey
- 53:09Speaker 12: two to be recognized. But I mean that would have
- 53:14Speaker 12: to come from, like you said, from the higher ups
- 53:16Speaker 12: up there. I can't fault them for going to ask
- 53:22Speaker 12: and getting this done for those players. I mean, that's
- 53:26Speaker 12: just like for anybody. I mean, you just got I mean,
- 53:29Speaker 12: hold on, Babatucer, I mean, I like to ride with you, man,
- 53:35Speaker 12: But how about your national title? I won twenty eight games.
- 53:40Speaker 12: That's not the huge jump over me too for a
- 53:45Speaker 12: guy because of the coach. But first of all, first
- 53:49Speaker 12: of all, Shoulder Sanders shouldn't even be in the Colorado
- 53:53Speaker 12: Hall of Fame. Let's start there. That's do not But
- 54:01Speaker 12: I played college football. You don't get in the Hall
- 54:05Speaker 12: of Fame unless what did you do special here? And
- 54:09Speaker 12: when heisman? No, he won the first team All American?
- 54:15Speaker 2: Is he even the best quarterback of the history of
- 54:16Speaker 2: the school. No, he didn't win more games than Cordell Stewart. No,
- 54:23Speaker 2: so let's start there. But I was gonna overlook that
- 54:27Speaker 2: part and not even get on that because people like
- 54:29Speaker 2: to get into a wage war of I'm trying to
- 54:32Speaker 2: figure out. But that all comes from a function that
- 54:35Speaker 2: his dad's popularity in power, I'm saying.
- 54:39Speaker 11: And even with that, Look, look we're gonna retire your doors, Jersey,
- 54:43Speaker 11: but before we do that, let's clean this part of
- 54:49Speaker 11: it up first.
- 54:49Speaker 2: Okay, Well, Shiloh played just as good as your door
- 54:53Speaker 2: did at Colorado. He was a difference maker in that
- 54:59Speaker 2: second there. It's a difference maker in the second day.
- 55:01Speaker 2: Each time I watched he was Colorado safety as you
- 55:04Speaker 2: could be. I knew he wasn't gonna because he didn't
- 55:06Speaker 2: really have the He's a tweener tween him, so he's
- 55:10Speaker 2: not He's not fast enough to be a corner and
- 55:14Speaker 2: not big enough to be a safety. And those guys,
- 55:17Speaker 2: it's hard to make the league when you're that guy.
- 55:20Speaker 11: And but and each time I watch a Colorado game
- 55:23Speaker 11: and they said something about someone name Sanders, it was
- 55:28Speaker 11: always Charlotte.
- 55:30Speaker 12: He was always the one that So so what do
- 55:32Speaker 12: you do in a couple of years. When Jackson State
- 55:34Speaker 12: decided to retire or put Shador and Travis Hunter and
- 55:40Speaker 12: the Ring of Honor, well Travis Hunter. First of all,
- 55:42Speaker 12: Travis Hunter is not a question. He has a Heisman Trophy.
- 55:46Speaker 2: And if they got somebody at Jackson State that went
- 55:49Speaker 2: twenty eight. At least at Jackson State, he was twenty
- 55:52Speaker 2: two and two at Colorado, he left there like twelve
- 56:00Speaker 2: twelve or something, didn't he Yeah, it was some kind
- 56:03Speaker 2: of we'll be back more to sports. Job to show.
- 56:12Speaker 11: Jazz what you can call it that, but this jazz
- 56:15Speaker 11: detains a new format point when you misjudge, just speculated creating.
- 56:20Speaker 2: A book, you've made the John Boy Wayne.
- 56:24Speaker 6: Boord of the sports Josh Hill with Wayne Gandia's coming
- 56:27Speaker 6: up next.
- 56:32Speaker 22: Choosing to buy a gun was not a decision I
- 56:34Speaker 22: took lightly, but with everything going on, I really wanted
- 56:37Speaker 22: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 56:40Speaker 22: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 56:42Speaker 22: home too.
- 56:44Speaker 24: Me aware, are your napkins not that drawer unless anyone
- 56:49Speaker 24: needs a gun.
- 56:52Speaker 22: Now, I always locked my gun to keep everyone safe.

- 57:07Speaker 20: the unicycle? Sounds ridiculous, right, but guess what. That's exactly
- 57:12Speaker 20: what texting while driving is like. Your human brain only
- 57:14Speaker 20: has the capacity to focus on one thing at a time,

- 57:35Speaker 4: If anything, I'm more careful.

- 58:18Speaker 2: Come to fun comes comes to mind?
- 58:22Speaker 27: Is it just.
- 58:26Speaker 28: I'm a doing Yeah, I'm gonna go on the way you.

- 58:39Speaker 2: Man himself, come on to you, Greg in the building.
- 58:42Speaker 2: President's Day? What is any special menu for President's Day? Where?
- 58:47Speaker 11: McDonald's probably where? Where as far as any kind of
- 58:53Speaker 11: tradition to president like at uh where.
- 58:57Speaker 15: Is the.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Uh Ikia that they don't have a special menu for
- 59:03Speaker 2: President's Day? I know they have, Like I've seen President
- 59:06Speaker 2: Day sales and different discounts.
- 59:09Speaker 11: Presidents Day they usually push Lennen sheets and towels. Okay,
- 59:14Speaker 11: I wonder why that's it. I don't know, because because
- 59:17Speaker 11: people just perceive value, come in on President's Day and
- 59:21Speaker 11: get half priced whatever.
- 59:23Speaker 2: Yeah, you know, spend on some sheets. Yeah.
- 59:29Speaker 12: Now, I said, you don't spend all your money at
- 59:30Speaker 12: Valentine's or whatever, so you get your president they deal.
- 59:34Speaker 2: Is it always the Monday after Valentine's? I wonder, third
- 59:39Speaker 2: third Monday, third Monday of February.
- 59:42Speaker 11: Okay, okay, so Valentine's they just float, decide when they
- 59:46Speaker 11: want to swoop.
- 59:46Speaker 2: It's always the fourteenth, but they just float swoop down
- 59:52Speaker 2: on your pockets. We talked about the All Star Game
- 59:55Speaker 2: there and that first have a little more energy to
- 59:59Speaker 2: the game, that she a lot of you youth in
- 1:00:02Speaker 2: the game when you looked at the Team Stars and
- 1:00:05Speaker 2: the Team World and a lot of young players. But
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: I think that angle of us versus the world could
- 1:00:13Speaker 2: be something to build on. Just don't be surprised if
- 1:00:16Speaker 2: we lose. We talked about Lindsey Vaughn. The NFL. They
- 1:00:20Speaker 2: won their grievance against the NFLPA regarding report cards, and
- 1:00:25Speaker 2: we talked about this last year and I felt like
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: the NFL had a right to go out of the NFLPA.
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: And I'm ninety nine percent NFLPA, but I wouldn't been mad.
- 1:00:39Speaker 2: I thought they were justified that certain things. If you
- 1:00:46Speaker 2: want to poll, it's not something you should be putting
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: out And a lot of this was regarding the grades
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: they were putting out.
- 1:00:55Speaker 11: Right, Mercedes Been Stadium, but the hot dogs are terrible.
- 1:01:03Speaker 11: It's a great place to play, but the nachos are
- 1:01:07Speaker 11: a little bit stale.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Like you know, it's what do you.
- 1:01:10Speaker 8: About to like the concessions necessarily for the stadium, it
- 1:01:14Speaker 8: would be the food that they give you when you
- 1:01:16Speaker 8: get on the play to fly to the road game.
- 1:01:18Speaker 2: Oh oh see, Oh my goodness. Yeah, a lot of
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: the things were sounding more like something at high school
- 1:01:26Speaker 2: than it did pro. But it was Cord, not Simon.
- 1:01:30Speaker 23: It was.
- 1:01:32Speaker 2: They were grading locker rooms and different things like that,
- 1:01:34Speaker 2: and the owners just basically say, now, now you're trying
- 1:01:37Speaker 2: to hurt You're trying to hurt my image and my
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: product was something that I'm not particularly because I don't
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: even know that owners and teens have to do that,
- 1:01:46Speaker 2: and I need to ask somebody, and now this is
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: Is that a byproduct of those grades? That kind of thing?
- 1:01:54Speaker 11: Is that a byproduct of we're covering everything twenty four
- 1:01:57Speaker 11: hours a day, so we got to come up with something.
- 1:02:00Speaker 11: So we're going to give these facilities grades and now
- 1:02:03Speaker 11: you can critique and you can feel like you were
- 1:02:06Speaker 11: cheated at Mercedes Benz Stadium too, that kind of thing. Yeah,
- 1:02:10Speaker 11: the bathrooms do need an upgrade. You've never been in
- 1:02:12Speaker 11: the locker room. We're not all the same owner, right.
- 1:02:16Speaker 11: I think it is what as great as the Stillers
- 1:02:19Speaker 11: and people ask me, oh, what you The Stellers were
- 1:02:21Speaker 11: my favorite team to play with, but the facilities were.
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: Average at best. They might have been the worst facilities
- 1:02:32Speaker 2: of the four teams. But I still tell you they
- 1:02:34Speaker 2: were my best team to play because I wasn't factoring
- 1:02:38Speaker 2: that in, but I didn't even know whether it was
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: cod or Salmon, right, And if that's what you are
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: on your trip, then you shouldn't go play for that team.
- 1:02:52Speaker 2: That is part of it. If you go there and
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: they're not giving you that Rosemary chicken right and TVs
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: in the locker, and this isn't the place for you.
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: I wanted to go there because they were still kind
- 1:03:07Speaker 2: of playing football, right. They had this kind of feel like, man,
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: we haven't a ride. But is this moldy carpet? This
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: is what I'm talking about?
- 1:03:18Speaker 23: This?
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: What this would it gets you going? And I'm saying
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: it's as much you play this old moldy carpet? Is
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: this a rat over there?
- 1:03:25Speaker 11: But I'm saying, let's go then, you know, but if
- 1:03:27Speaker 11: we got a deal, But if we got to deal
- 1:03:30Speaker 11: with moldy carpet, couldn't we at least have Rosemary Chicky?
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: No, So we're gonna go out here and I'm gonna
- 1:03:36Speaker 2: take it out on Big Kenny in Dallas because out
- 1:03:39Speaker 2: here they got you know, hot tubs, and Massus. They
- 1:03:42Speaker 2: gotta feel this. I'm up here suffering and they need
- 1:03:46Speaker 2: to fill it today. And when players go to Dallas
- 1:03:50Speaker 2: and tell you have Dallas problem is that they live
- 1:03:54Speaker 2: like they've already arrived, haven't. We've done reports on it
- 1:03:57Speaker 2: with players like, man, you go to Dallas, you thought
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: we won the last.
- 1:04:01Speaker 11: Can I get some more cream sauce for this Simon place?
- 1:04:06Speaker 11: For the pregame meal? I need more cream sauce.
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: And I always tell people reflect back the old crazy
- 1:04:11Speaker 2: Rocky movies when Rocky wanted to fight Drago. Look, they
- 1:04:18Speaker 2: had to go to the Siberian. He had to get
- 1:04:21Speaker 2: out of his comfort. He was trying to figure out
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: why he was losing because he was training with the technology,
- 1:04:27Speaker 2: and he went to the old It's still some of
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: that in athletics. There there's a part that you don't
- 1:04:36Speaker 2: ever want to feel like you have made it wherever
- 1:04:38Speaker 2: you've gone. And I know it's a it's a mental thing.
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: And some of the great players that you have pool for,
- 1:04:50Speaker 2: they dove into the arrived peak they got I was
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: going to rye pool all over them.
- 1:05:00Speaker 11: There's a part of I'm done. There's a part of
- 1:05:03Speaker 11: because I know akin to sports. There are levels in entertainment,
- 1:05:09Speaker 11: and when you achieve some of those accomplishments, it's easy
- 1:05:15Speaker 11: to feel like you've arrived. When my name goes on
- 1:05:19Speaker 11: the marquee, then I'm I'm through sniffing multi carpet. I'm saying,
- 1:05:25Speaker 11: now my name on the mark, and so I don't
- 1:05:29Speaker 11: and and so some people may see that the cream
- 1:05:32Speaker 11: sauce for the pregame meal, that that's I deserve that.
- 1:05:36Speaker 11: But then there are some people that say, the only
- 1:05:38Speaker 11: way I got here was smelling this moltiicarpet, and that's
- 1:05:41Speaker 11: how I'm gonna stay here.
- 1:05:42Speaker 12: There are some reports of better college facilities than some
- 1:05:46Speaker 12: of the professional facilities. When you think about those guys
- 1:05:50Speaker 12: who come from like but like you where you come
- 1:05:53Speaker 12: from Alburton, know they feed you good, then you go
- 1:05:57Speaker 12: somewhere else And oh man, I was eating here or whatever.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Y'all cutting the check though, right the I didn't care
- 1:06:05Speaker 2: what y'all was serving the cafeteria check. I can bring
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: that on. I actually didn't need something to get me
- 1:06:13Speaker 2: through practice. I wasn't even real and I got some
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: granola bars on me. It's not like I can't leave
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: the facility for lunch out here, I'll get something. This
- 1:06:26Speaker 2: is at high school when he says an hour lunch break,
- 1:06:29Speaker 2: I do what I want to do. I get something
- 1:06:30Speaker 2: out to vendom. I lived in New Orleans. My house
- 1:06:32Speaker 2: was a mile from the facility. And I'm not a mile.
- 1:06:40Speaker 2: I'm about a straight mile. Like, go out, make it right.
- 1:06:44Speaker 2: You could job go a mile and make a left
- 1:06:47Speaker 2: and then the house was right there. I would go
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: home for lunch sometimes, or if I never felt the
- 1:06:56Speaker 2: pressure that if I left something, just go home the door.
- 1:06:59Speaker 4: Dash guy meet me.
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: Yeah, that's what I'm saying. That's your thing, just like
- 1:07:04Speaker 2: when you go in your recruiting trips, coming from high
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: school to college. It's what you value. Now. Some guys
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: they see all the facilities and they're not hearing what
- 1:07:15Speaker 2: coach is saying. I already got nine running backs. Man,
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: look at that pool. I already got nine running backs, man,
- 1:07:22Speaker 2: look at that But they got them, assue, and then
- 1:07:24Speaker 2: you get there, I ain't get no time, no time
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: nine running about nine all state All American running backs
- 1:07:34Speaker 2: and you hear nothing with you coach might get to
- 1:07:36Speaker 2: play as a senior. I went and asked them where
- 1:07:39Speaker 2: was I on the depth chart. All this little sandwich
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: stuff y'all keep showing me. I need to know how
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: many people need to graduate for me to get on
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: the field, or at least you get an opportunity. Candy,
- 1:07:49Speaker 2: did you see the cream sauce with the salmon?
- 1:07:51Speaker 18: Though?
- 1:07:52Speaker 11: No, you say he a senior. He is senior, But
- 1:07:54Speaker 11: they got cream sauce with salmon and potatoes. Okay, so
- 1:07:57Speaker 11: next year there will be competition. And because he'll be gone,
- 1:08:02Speaker 11: so that means there's an open competition for who the
- 1:08:04Speaker 11: left tackle.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: Yeah, but the Brussels sprouts with salmon and cream saw yeah,
- 1:08:09Speaker 2: and some people that's them. Oh man, they didn't send
- 1:08:13Speaker 2: a limo to pick me up, and but they got
- 1:08:16Speaker 2: to do it. Let's get out here, and I'm telling
- 1:08:18Speaker 2: you like Venus william Venus Williams says she doesn't fly
- 1:08:21Speaker 2: first class when she loses. That's a treat, that's a
- 1:08:25Speaker 2: winning treat. Right. It's a young lady, the young lady,
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: the daughter of the guy for the bills, the peculiar girl.
- 1:08:32Speaker 2: She says, she doesn't tap into her family money. If
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: I want something, I got to go out here on
- 1:08:42Speaker 2: this tennis court, right and win it. If I get
- 1:08:44Speaker 2: on daddy's jet. Then I already feel like a winner.
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: What that's gonna do on the court? Win to lose.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I'm riding home on the jet right right. And it's
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: that feeling of it's like a parents and stuff. At
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: some age, a lot of parents introduced where they give
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: you chores. If you don't do your chores or the grade,
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: they might be cool with you the first, second, third grade,
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: then fifth grade it's like, well, bring me a a
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: then I'll give you this this. It becomes that right
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: at the end of the week. You know it was
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: based on how you were, how you acted, how do
- 1:09:24Speaker 2: you clean? Yes, it becomes that. It's the same in
- 1:09:27Speaker 2: sports for a lot of people. But if you go
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: into a team based on.
- 1:09:33Speaker 12: Man they got a poll with the jet, man, I
- 1:09:37Speaker 12: gotta enduring practice facility.
- 1:09:39Speaker 2: I ain't got to get outside and some guys. Everybody
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: is not triggered by the same thing. And I think
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: that's what the owners were saying. The hunts up there
- 1:09:49Speaker 2: with Kansas City, they don't. They just middle of the
- 1:09:51Speaker 2: road and most stuff and just winning all the Super Bowl.
- 1:09:54Speaker 2: Now they're building every building a new They got turkey sandwiches.
- 1:09:58Speaker 2: We'll be back What's out show? Right after this, don't
- 1:10:18Speaker 2: go away? More of the.
- 1:10:19Speaker 6: Sports Jock Show with Wayne Dambidia's comming up next.
- 1:10:23Speaker 9: And now let's talk about something exciting, life insurance. Three
- 1:10:27Speaker 9: quarters of Americans believe that coverage represents a critical piece
- 1:10:30Speaker 9: of financial security, yet only forty nine percent actually have
- 1:10:34Speaker 9: life insurance.
- 1:10:35Speaker 10: When I was twenty five, me and my wife were
- 1:10:36Speaker 10: just getting started with our family and thought we lived
- 1:10:38Speaker 10: forever life insurance.
- 1:10:40Speaker 4: What's the last thing on my mind?
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: What about you?
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: Will you be leaving benefits or bills?
- 1:10:44Speaker 10: When I was forty, with a kid in college and
- 1:10:46Speaker 10: bills piling up, I was worried how my family was
- 1:10:48Speaker 10: survived without me. That's what I'm in an appointment with
- 1:10:50Speaker 10: the insurance for it.
- 1:10:51Speaker 9: Information gives you power, and life insurance gives your family
- 1:10:54Speaker 9: security no matter what stage of life you're in.
- 1:10:57Speaker 10: Now that I'm older, I don't worry about what their
- 1:10:59Speaker 10: leading family with bills, their benefits.
- 1:11:01Speaker 9: The answer is easy, whether you're twenty five or fifteen,

- 1:17:07Speaker 8: he the sponsor of the competition?
- 1:17:10Speaker 2: It was something I don't know that it was. It
- 1:17:12Speaker 2: was something they were trying to say about his fishing
- 1:17:18Speaker 2: the break. Yeah, but Michael Jordan sixty three years old.
- 1:17:23Speaker 2: Gene Simmons says that hip hop does not belong in
- 1:17:27Speaker 2: the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. We've had this
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: discussion and try to figure out how that breaks down.
- 1:17:35Speaker 2: Does rock and roll belong in the hip hop Hall
- 1:17:38Speaker 2: of Fame? I think that would be the best way.
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: Gene Simmons says that hip hop doesn't belong in the
- 1:17:47Speaker 2: rock and Roll Hall of Fame. But does rock and
- 1:17:49Speaker 2: roll belong in the hip hop Hall of fame? Is
- 1:17:52Speaker 2: that how you would reverse that question?
- 1:17:54Speaker 21: Right?
- 1:17:54Speaker 2: I would imagine. I would imagine with both because if
- 1:17:58Speaker 2: you're available.
- 1:17:59Speaker 11: Yeah, if I can't put you in mind, then I
- 1:18:02Speaker 11: shouldn't be allowed in yours.
- 1:18:04Speaker 25: Is that?
- 1:18:04Speaker 2: Does that make sense to anybody besides myself? Greg Bad?
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: The hip hop belong in the rock and roll Someone
- 1:18:14Speaker 2: was asking, and don't just use that one because everybody
- 1:18:17Speaker 2: goes to that one or two songs that they can
- 1:18:21Speaker 2: throw in. And I'll even give you someone like a
- 1:18:25Speaker 2: Public Enemy whose music teeters on rock and roll rock
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: and roll? Right, but does hip hop? I would I would.
- 1:18:39Speaker 8: Reference like Chuck D responded to Gene Simmons commons yeah,
- 1:18:43Speaker 8: saying that the roll part, that's where hip hop hip
- 1:18:48Speaker 8: hop comes in of rock and roll.
- 1:18:50Speaker 2: The roll part is it's hip hop rock and roll
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: and it's hip hop and it's rock and roll hip hop. No, No,
- 1:19:01Speaker 2: I was out in some way some ways, in some way, yes,
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: because of blue came off of blues. But they are elements.
- 1:19:11Speaker 2: They borrow from each other. Yeah, they just like everything
- 1:19:14Speaker 2: borrows from a lot of things. So yeah, it's so
- 1:19:18Speaker 2: so I can put Kiss in the Hip Hop Hall
- 1:19:21Speaker 2: of Fame next to TI hip Hop and in their songs. Yes,
- 1:19:29Speaker 2: I don't know if there are I letsten to a
- 1:19:30Speaker 2: lot of kids.
- 1:19:31Speaker 12: I don't know, but I mean you could tell its
- 1:19:34Speaker 12: elements because even to the point that.
- 1:19:37Speaker 8: More than one or two songs that team spirit where
- 1:19:41Speaker 8: they could all be in in that. But if you're
- 1:19:44Speaker 8: just looking at just rock bands, that you're you're really
- 1:19:47Speaker 8: it's called the rock and Roll Hall of Fame. So
- 1:19:50Speaker 8: I would imagine if I went there, really I'll be
- 1:19:53Speaker 8: looking for rock and roll bands. If I didn't know
- 1:19:56Speaker 8: anything and I landed in this country, I wouldn't go
- 1:20:00Speaker 8: to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame looking for
- 1:20:03Speaker 8: L L COOJ.
- 1:20:05Speaker 2: No, I wouldn't wouldn't do it, wouldn't be looking for
- 1:20:08Speaker 2: we wouldn't go like, man, let's go see we l
- 1:20:12Speaker 2: fans Papa at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- 1:20:15Speaker 2: But American band staying and all that.
- 1:20:17Speaker 12: That's put that situation to be able to uh make
- 1:20:22Speaker 12: it really quick in a sense because you think about
- 1:20:25Speaker 12: it like uh, like you said, there's different elements like
- 1:20:28Speaker 12: the song team spirit.
- 1:20:30Speaker 2: By football, baseball, basketball, straight that whole intro. Is they
- 1:20:37Speaker 2: all use the ball? We're not, do they not? Yes?
- 1:20:42Speaker 2: The same sport. Hip hop uses keyboard that uses string
- 1:20:46Speaker 2: in football, basketball and baseball the same sport now, but
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: they do all keep scoring, yes, and they do all
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: have a ball in it and all elements of everything.
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: But that doesn't mean that they are the same. Now,
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: I play with the time limits and I'm playing with
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: no time. It's not the same. But hopefully we'll get
- 1:21:07Speaker 2: some comments, and let's let's go back to the original question.
- 1:21:12Speaker 2: First of all, can I clock in? I'm making these stallions?
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: No no, no, no, no, no, no, no no, she's
- 1:21:19Speaker 2: not available. She's not available. So you got to take
- 1:21:23Speaker 2: a pic somewhere else. You gotta go in some go
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: in those directions. Paris Hill rules, okay, Paris Hotel room.
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: It would be back. We gotta go to break sports
- 1:21:35Speaker 2: talk show right after this. We're easier waite the games
- 1:21:44Speaker 2: for the ladies to like some. So never give me
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: your busk.
- 1:21:47Speaker 13: We'll make a breaking.
- 1:21:49Speaker 6: Like don't go Wayne Born of the Sports Johns Hill
- 1:21:56Speaker 6: with Wayne Gamsyas coming up next.
- 1:22:01Speaker 24: Remember always be generous with the nutmeame just diebally.

- 1:22:15Speaker 22: sweet potato pie recipe.

- 1:22:34Speaker 22: took lightly, but with everything going on, I really wanted
- 1:22:38Speaker 22: to feel like I could protect myself. I hadn't thought
- 1:22:40Speaker 22: about the danger of an unlocked gun in my own
- 1:22:42Speaker 22: home too.
- 1:22:44Speaker 24: Me aware your napkins, not that drawer unless anyone needs

- 1:24:08Speaker 2: All the fellas try to walk back to the Sports
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: Shock Show. I'm the Sports Shock Wing Cantigot morning to you,
- 1:24:14Speaker 2: command your great the little research and herschel Ali when
- 1:24:18Speaker 2: he was at Saint Mary's playing basketball, was herschel Glover
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: Gilmore Gilmore, So now Myherschela.
- 1:24:27Speaker 8: It's short Forherschela shabaz like that is his legal first name.
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: But Gilmore was his given hire, was his getting gil
- 1:24:39Speaker 2: Moore was his get a job now well in Holly
- 1:24:45Speaker 2: and and and not in Holly in Hollywood. You gotta have,
- 1:24:50Speaker 2: you know, a little twist on your name. So looks
- 1:24:53Speaker 2: good up there on the movies trailer, right, herschel not.
- 1:24:58Speaker 11: Just We just got an interesting comment in on line
- 1:25:02Speaker 11: uh from our online listeners.
- 1:25:05Speaker 2: I was about the rock and Roll Hall of fame. Okay,
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: before you the Bad Producer wants to make sure everybody
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: know that. Jean's finished comment was that he was not
- 1:25:14Speaker 2: from the ghetto and he didn't really understand what hip hop.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: What they were saying, Gene Shimmons is not neither's the
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: Bad Producer. It's not from the ghetto. But there's a
- 1:25:26Speaker 2: lot of a lot of people don't understand rock and roll.
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: That's why they don't listen to it. But there's a
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: lot of hip hop that a lot of people don't
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: understand hip hop from those same.
- 1:25:39Speaker 11: Restrictions. Restrictions, those same boundaries exists in both. So surprising about.
- 1:25:46Speaker 12: That go ahead, but for him to make that same
- 1:25:49Speaker 12: because there's a lot of college educated rappers of people
- 1:25:53Speaker 12: that are in the the genre.
- 1:25:56Speaker 2: So for him to know, I'm just he didn't say.
- 1:25:59Speaker 2: Now you're speaking for the man and you're doing what
- 1:26:01Speaker 2: America loves to do and adding on stuff. He didn't
- 1:26:04Speaker 2: say that people that did hip hop were not college educated.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: If anything, hip hop tells you not to go to
- 1:26:12Speaker 2: college in most of the songs, and.
- 1:26:15Speaker 11: If you go to the Trap Museum in places like
- 1:26:18Speaker 11: that that promote hip hop and that genre of music,
- 1:26:23Speaker 11: it will tell you that it started as stories told
- 1:26:27Speaker 11: by people from the ghetto about street life and that
- 1:26:33Speaker 11: side of the world which usually wasn't popularly distributed amongst
- 1:26:41Speaker 11: radio stations and record labels because of its origins, and
- 1:26:47Speaker 11: that was hip hop, the voice of the ghetto crying
- 1:26:51Speaker 11: to be heard.
- 1:26:52Speaker 2: And the guy we had on from the Goodie Mom
- 1:26:55Speaker 2: talked about that, yes, about how hip hop makes you
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: act like you aren't educated, because when he said he
- 1:27:03Speaker 2: had went to Clark or Moorhouse and graduated, he was
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: alluding to how his stigma that they built where you
- 1:27:12Speaker 2: almost have to act like you didn't go right to school,
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: the school right to be heard? Ken, what's the coming on?
- 1:27:20Speaker 11: We got some comments from our loyal online listeners. First
- 1:27:24Speaker 11: the Top of the Hole, we got Miss Gloria Hatches saying,
- 1:27:26Speaker 11: yes she do. When we're talking about your mama, go
- 1:27:29Speaker 11: around the toe Booths said, yes she do, she will
- 1:27:33Speaker 11: do that. Jared Lloyd said, we're starting the show with
- 1:27:35Speaker 11: the Valentine's Vortex. Uncle Charlie said, go across the tracks.
- 1:27:40Speaker 11: The roses are cheaper, and Uncle Charlie also says that
- 1:27:46Speaker 11: Michael Jordan won trophy for his mantle yesterday with the
- 1:27:49Speaker 11: auto racing, and then he asked the question, what's the
- 1:27:56Speaker 11: why not? They voted Dotley partner in to the rock
- 1:27:59Speaker 11: and Roll Hall of Fame. So is that a difference
- 1:28:01Speaker 11: Dolly pardon being in?
- 1:28:03Speaker 17: Uh?
- 1:28:03Speaker 2: And Jared Lord says, Paris Hilton, she a billionaire. Do
- 1:28:07Speaker 2: your math.
- 1:28:10Speaker 11: I don't know what dudes be looking for in relationships,
- 1:28:14Speaker 11: but just the word you, I'm saying, like Paris being
- 1:28:20Speaker 11: a billionaire ain't enough.
- 1:28:21Speaker 2: But you just right there?
- 1:28:24Speaker 11: But uh? To that question, Dolly partners in the rock
- 1:28:29Speaker 11: and Roll Hall of Fame the goub blood country artists.
- 1:28:32Speaker 2: And I wonder, I wonder if we asked Gene that question,
- 1:28:35Speaker 2: what what what would he say about? Because country music
- 1:28:38Speaker 2: has a country music Hall of Fame? And now this
- 1:28:40Speaker 2: is the thing to me that seems to be the equalizer.
- 1:28:44Speaker 2: Can I go into your Hall of fame? Dolly Parton
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: in the rock and roll Hall of Fame? Can the
- 1:28:50Speaker 2: rock and roll anybody in the rock and roll Hall
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: of Fame that she sits next to come into the
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: country music Hall of Fame?
- 1:28:56Speaker 11: And I don't think so. So I'm saying your music
- 1:29:00Speaker 11: maybe groundbreaking in it may have displayed brilliantly displayed elements
- 1:29:06Speaker 11: and influences of this other music. But I don't think
- 1:29:08Speaker 11: it qualifies you for induction into the because in the
- 1:29:12Speaker 11: hip Hop Hall of Fame you cannot put Kiss and.
- 1:29:15Speaker 2: Kiss had some thumping music beats that you could rap.
- 1:29:19Speaker 12: Whatever for some of the samples that maybe some of
- 1:29:22Speaker 12: the producers use some of Kisses, but no, I'm saying
- 1:29:26Speaker 12: I think those beats they played live.
- 1:29:28Speaker 11: Ozzy Osbourne and Black Sabbath have some music that is
- 1:29:33Speaker 11: all the way are and be rhythm and blues, two
- 1:29:38Speaker 11: four beat, you know, rocking.
- 1:29:42Speaker 2: They do, but you couldn't put them in the hip
- 1:29:44Speaker 2: Hop Hall of Fame because they don't do hip hop music.
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: And maybe Gene Simmons is just recognizing that what he
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: was a part of, or however the rock and Roll
- 1:29:56Speaker 2: Hall of Fame was started, we're turning it in I knew,
- 1:30:01Speaker 2: woke mindset into just the music Hall of Fame, just
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: the good music. So we don't actually have the rock
- 1:30:10Speaker 2: roll Hall of Fame anymore. We just have the Music
- 1:30:12Speaker 2: Hall of Fame Hall of Fame. But everybody else gets
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: to have their john genre of music. And you're just
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: turning us into the music Hall of Fame. Is that
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: kind of what we've been seeing where you put the
- 1:30:27Speaker 2: pardon and salt and pepper, and there is a there
- 1:30:31Speaker 2: is a hip hop Hall of Fame, there country music
- 1:30:33Speaker 2: hall of Fame. There's a pop and jazz Hall of Fame.
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: So there I understand where he may be coming from
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: with that. But I think those other hall of fames
- 1:30:46Speaker 2: don't get the publicity that the rock and roll Hall
- 1:30:50Speaker 2: of Fame does. Like one knows where all those other's my,
- 1:30:58Speaker 2: that's not mine. Across the bear. It's not to make
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: you comfortable because you did. You haven't gotten your hall
- 1:31:05Speaker 2: of fame to the rock roll of fame.
- 1:31:09Speaker 8: So so it's buried that cross to make it to
- 1:31:12Speaker 8: uh breaking all of these other artists. Here here we go,
- 1:31:15Speaker 8: I mean, and this is what I've always was told.
- 1:31:17Speaker 8: The genre of a populum rock and roller is genre
- 1:31:20Speaker 8: of popular music from the forties and fifties involved the
- 1:31:23Speaker 8: blend of blues, rhythm and blues, jazz, gospel, and country.
- 1:31:28Speaker 8: And that's what I was always told, and I learned nothing, nothing.
- 1:31:31Speaker 12: That's what I was told when I started learning music,
- 1:31:34Speaker 12: learning my uncles and them when they it's an element
- 1:31:37Speaker 12: that everything is pulled from rock and roll. What made
- 1:31:41Speaker 12: rock and roll, far as Gene Simmonson, was the driving
- 1:31:44Speaker 12: of the guitar, putting it in that right there.
- 1:31:48Speaker 2: Those are different elements in the changing of it.
- 1:31:50Speaker 13: But just saying that.
- 1:31:51Speaker 2: Football, basketball and baseball or what.
- 1:31:57Speaker 11: And now.
- 1:31:59Speaker 2: R and B it's routed. They do have carnality right
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: and little shouldn't be in there then because they were
- 1:32:07Speaker 2: doing blues. But it's considered what they've got.
- 1:32:09Speaker 11: They've got the Gospel Hall of Fame and Little Richard
- 1:32:12Speaker 11: and all of those early R and B artists will
- 1:32:15Speaker 11: tell you that that music is rooted in gospel. And
- 1:32:18Speaker 11: then we picked it up where the R and B
- 1:32:20Speaker 11: beat rock and roll took those influences and piped it
- 1:32:24Speaker 11: up with more amplified, with more good talk, the Beatles,
- 1:32:28Speaker 11: and more genre of music. But they did something different
- 1:32:36Speaker 11: with it and took it in a different direction. Hip
- 1:32:39Speaker 11: hop is hip hop. They took those influences.
- 1:32:43Speaker 2: With black shavels, and then we'll be considered heavy metal.
- 1:32:48Speaker 12: Is it offshoot of rock roll? And that's what I'm saying. Basically,
- 1:32:54Speaker 12: it's a pull from all the other.
- 1:32:57Speaker 2: My closing argument on this so we can move on
- 1:32:59Speaker 2: to some sports stuff, is if you I'll let you
- 1:33:04Speaker 2: in the Hall of Fame, outcast, and you should be
- 1:33:07Speaker 2: able to put me in yours. You should. If you can't,
- 1:33:10Speaker 2: then you should stay out of mind. Stay out of mind.
- 1:33:13Speaker 2: You you not, You didn't because you don't do this.
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: All music is based on all music, and then we
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: make it hip hop is just a blend of a
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: whole bunch of stuff.
- 1:33:24Speaker 11: Kiss Kiss is still not Kiss Queen is still the
- 1:33:30Speaker 11: rock and Roll Hall of Fame. And they made the
- 1:33:32Speaker 11: song another one Bites the Dust and that went to
- 1:33:35Speaker 11: like number two or three on the R and B.
- 1:33:37Speaker 2: But you can't be in the Basketball Hall of Fame
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: as a baseball player. You can't. You can't. I don't
- 1:33:44Speaker 2: care how many shoot around you went to. That's just
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: not how it works.
- 1:33:47Speaker 9: Just not.
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: Oh, I played Sports Athletes Hall of Fame. That's the hame.
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: That would be the sports Hall of Fame. It's the
- 1:33:54Speaker 2: sports Hall. I appreciated that, that's what and that's actually
- 1:33:57Speaker 2: what they call it. So that's why I've always didn't
- 1:34:02Speaker 2: understand it from the jump. I didn't understand why they
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: put hip hop in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
- 1:34:11Speaker 2: Go make your Hall of Fame legendary. Go make your
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: Hall of Fame legendary. That's what you need to do
- 1:34:19Speaker 2: instead of trying to piggyback off of somebody else. Because
- 1:34:23Speaker 2: I didn't say this was the music Hall of Fame.
- 1:34:25Speaker 11: You can't and you start the music Hall of Fame,
- 1:34:27Speaker 11: and you can't tell me that the labels that sell
- 1:34:29Speaker 11: hip hop music don't have the finance to build a
- 1:34:33Speaker 11: hip hop Hall of Fame right next door to the
- 1:34:35Speaker 11: Rock and Roll Hall of Fame right there in Ohio.
- 1:34:37Speaker 11: But if you want it from the birthplace of hip hop,
- 1:34:40Speaker 11: then they say that's in New York, so take it there.
- 1:34:43Speaker 11: But they have the money, they've got the notoriety. It's
- 1:34:47Speaker 11: current enough, it's relevant enough. So you're just again it's
- 1:34:54Speaker 11: I want to be a part of your golf club.
- 1:34:56Speaker 11: You have to let me in.
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: It's not like go start my own own thing. You
- 1:35:01Speaker 2: gotta let me into your thing. And what's with people

- 1:38:04Speaker 1: I'll sing even Big Jany welcome back to this whate
- 1:38:09Speaker 1: shock show up in this what shock Wayne Candy, Good
- 1:38:11Speaker 1: morning to you out there and listening and land command
- 1:38:14Speaker 1: of Greg Big Kenny Babbittoo.
- 1:38:15Speaker 2: So we were talking about the hip hop Hall of Fame.
- 1:38:17Speaker 2: We could debate that forever. With music, it's just interesting,
- 1:38:20Speaker 2: as I said, command you, Greg, you're old enough. When
- 1:38:23Speaker 2: you used to go in the record store it was
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: broken down in genres. You didn't go over to the
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: rock and roll area looking for certain music because you
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: knew it was not over there, and you didn't go
- 1:38:42Speaker 2: to the hip hop section looking for Black Sabbath. You
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: could look up at the wall and know, well, I
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: might not know where Black Sabbath is, but I know
- 1:38:55Speaker 2: it ain't on the hip hop section. I don't know WhatsApp.
- 1:38:59Speaker 2: It ain't over to post a tone lok. It's just not.
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: But then people as they want to scrapulate different phrases
- 1:39:09Speaker 2: to make it all fit. Who's the father of rocking?
- 1:39:12Speaker 20: Right?
- 1:39:12Speaker 12: That's just how it goes. Who's because who's considered the
- 1:39:15Speaker 12: father of the first person?
- 1:39:17Speaker 2: I wasn't I wasn't there. Alan Freed was the first.
- 1:39:21Speaker 2: I wasn't there Alan Alan Ferry probably stole it from
- 1:39:25Speaker 2: Tom Johnson, and Aaron Johnson stole it from Sally Fernandez,
- 1:39:30Speaker 2: and Sally Fernandez who knows, because you know what, the
- 1:39:34Speaker 2: only person that know is the person who wrote it,
- 1:39:38Speaker 2: So the other three people didn't know how to write.
- 1:39:43Speaker 2: Don't rely on history to show you how everything. I'm
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: y'all walking around here still thinking that somebody parted a
- 1:39:51Speaker 2: red sea because of what you define parted as Paul,
- 1:39:59Speaker 2: you know it was low high and that's what parted
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: two thousand years meant ago. But because now it's your
- 1:40:10Speaker 2: time and now you're talking about who this and that,
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: we're talking about genres. You go to a grocery store.
- 1:40:15Speaker 2: They got all kinds of groceries, but they have it separated,
- 1:40:18Speaker 2: do they not. You don't go to the fruit and
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: vegetable owl looking for Coca Cola. No go drink drink out,
- 1:40:28Speaker 2: you got that soft drinks, sports drinks. The President has
- 1:40:34Speaker 2: pardoned a couple of NFL players based on how you
- 1:40:37Speaker 2: feel about these kind of pardons. I don't know because
- 1:40:40Speaker 2: of your Nate Newton, Jamal Lewis, Joe Klecklow, Travis Henry,
- 1:40:46Speaker 2: and the late Billy Cannon. To me, Nate Travis, I
- 1:40:55Speaker 2: know four the I know four of the five people
- 1:40:58Speaker 2: on this list. I actually reached out to jam All Lewis.
- 1:41:00Speaker 2: He said it was awesome. I don't know what Billy
- 1:41:05Speaker 2: Canon did.
- 1:41:06Speaker 13: I know?
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: Travis had like a van full of marijuana. Nate had
- 1:41:10Speaker 2: like a ship full of it. Legend they all had.
- 1:41:14Speaker 2: He had Tima. Listen, they had more like a ship
- 1:41:22Speaker 2: full of it.
- 1:41:24Speaker 11: To us, do you know how common it is to
- 1:41:29Speaker 11: just have ten pounds? I'm saying, it's not a stretch,
- 1:41:36Speaker 11: am I right? Right, It's not a stretch, just it's
- 1:41:40Speaker 11: just running to somebody.
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: Got if I look at all these all these kind
- 1:41:46Speaker 2: of fine fall under regardless of them. Uh, non violent, violent,
- 1:41:51Speaker 2: good thing, good thing given for non violent. I don't
- 1:41:55Speaker 2: think any of these people had it was violence, thank you, Rob.
- 1:42:01Speaker 2: And I think that's where and it wasn't quick. So
- 1:42:06Speaker 2: that's the thing too, I will give it. It's not
- 1:42:08Speaker 2: like this was like this happened three days ago. Yeah,
- 1:42:11Speaker 2: some of y'all just got your records clinging all mis
- 1:42:14Speaker 2: Jamal Lewis thing was like fifteen, almost twenty years ago.
- 1:42:18Speaker 11: These dudes have served their time, and you lived under
- 1:42:22Speaker 11: the auspice of a then you had twenty two.
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: And that's the thing that pulls me over. These aren't
- 1:42:27Speaker 2: something that happened back in twenty twenty one. These people
- 1:42:30Speaker 2: have been under the yeah for a long time. They society.
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: Billy Canton was printing fake money. Listen list Oh Billy
- 1:42:42Speaker 2: was okay, okay, okay. It was at the seventies, you know,
- 1:42:45Speaker 2: everybody was Yeah, seventies eight, everybody was doing that back
- 1:42:48Speaker 2: in the sad all. We've all had a little bit
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: of fake money printed. Am I right? If I'm reading
- 1:42:53Speaker 2: all printed a little bit of fake money. And that's
- 1:42:56Speaker 2: what I think. For you it might be against it.
- 1:42:58Speaker 2: I'm not telling you. You know, some people don't believe
- 1:43:01Speaker 2: you should. All I can take is that this wasn't
- 1:43:07Speaker 2: something they did. You know how they tell him, oh,
- 1:43:09Speaker 2: president should go party in shilling Combs and it's like, no,
- 1:43:15Speaker 2: he needs to sit up under that light. He just
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: got there. Yeah, he just got there. Hey ain't even
- 1:43:21Speaker 2: served lunch yet. He needed Travis Henry. That was that
- 1:43:26Speaker 2: was like nine kids ago, you know Kid twelve Now
- 1:43:31Speaker 2: that was Onike Kid too. He was moving a van
- 1:43:34Speaker 2: full of so you got of his old lady. She
- 1:43:37Speaker 2: was helple him to. I don't know what moving to.
- 1:43:41Speaker 11: Let's not let's not judge because we did not have
- 1:43:43Speaker 11: our whole lady drill right.
- 1:43:48Speaker 2: I can't. I don't think I ever drove a van.
- 1:43:50Speaker 2: That's I'm just saying.
- 1:43:52Speaker 11: It's more believable with a woman behind the wheel.
- 1:43:56Speaker 2: It really is. It's far more believable. The back the
- 1:43:59Speaker 2: Street Boys are making a petition. They want to do
- 1:44:02Speaker 2: Super Bowl halftime. You celebrate celebration of the two thousands,
- 1:44:09Speaker 2: is what they're calling. Hold on, can you do that?
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: Can you? Can you petition? Hey? Just put everybody else petition?
- 1:44:16Speaker 13: You can?
- 1:44:17Speaker 2: Yeah, everybody petition often, but you can can can you petition?
- 1:44:22Speaker 11: Well?
- 1:44:22Speaker 2: And that how people get there? You don't remember the
- 1:44:25Speaker 2: project going. You don't remember when Wayne and Julie Nimer's
- 1:44:27Speaker 2: petitioned for New Orleans. When I go up here, I'm
- 1:44:32Speaker 2: here for the twenty twenty Oscar. I like, let y'all
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: know d from my album next week in that petition
- 1:44:39Speaker 2: and it's following up like with petitioning with yeah and.
- 1:44:47Speaker 11: In that context, so yes, because when I think petition,
- 1:44:50Speaker 11: I'm thinking formal. The Backstreet Boys have served you notice
- 1:44:55Speaker 11: Super Bowl, they need they need fifteen our signatures and
- 1:45:01Speaker 11: you'll have to consider the break. Would you like to
- 1:45:03Speaker 11: see like a two thousand.
- 1:45:06Speaker 2: Tribute tell my Backstreet uh by Britney Spears like that
- 1:45:10Speaker 2: whole Would that make a good half time? I think
- 1:45:13Speaker 2: it would. I think it would make an awesome halftime show.
- 1:45:16Speaker 2: Make it work. Okay, We'll be back more to Sports
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: Talk show. Right after this, the books.
- 1:45:26Speaker 11: Booked Smack Some Woogy Boys Connected Some.

- 1:47:27Speaker 26: cause of more than three thousand deaths in twenty twenty two.
- 1:47:30Speaker 2: Come on, we're smarter than this.
- 1:47:32Speaker 26: Let's put down the phones and focus on the roads.
- 1:47:35Speaker 26: Drive safe, everybody.
- 1:47:38Speaker 16: Don't drive distracted. A message brought to you by the

- 1:47:47Speaker 4: And now back to the sports John Wayne Gandy.
- 1:47:54Speaker 29: It's time to to school board when we put a
- 1:47:57Speaker 29: spin on life and sports and how they intermingle.
- 1:48:02Speaker 4: On the Sports Jack Show with Wayne Gandy.
- 1:48:24Speaker 6: Places up he fall he gat falled up from bultation.
- 1:48:32Speaker 6: What this boy?
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: Shock?
- 1:48:34Speaker 17: Shock?
- 1:48:34Speaker 2: This boy shock, Wayne Kandy, Kansas State is fire Jerome
- 1:48:38Speaker 2: Tang who has a little money left on his contract.
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: He is the man's basketball coach at Kansas stayed. Basically,
- 1:48:50Speaker 2: he just got tired of his team and he you know,
- 1:48:53Speaker 2: he told you why he was mad. Son, I tell
- 1:48:56Speaker 2: you why he was mad. Basically that none of the
- 1:48:59Speaker 2: players really deserve the uniform. He was gonna get rid
- 1:49:02Speaker 2: of some people next year. This used to be called coaching.
- 1:49:09Speaker 2: Just want you all to know this is called unemployment line.
- 1:49:17Speaker 2: I don't understand when Greg sent me the story. I
- 1:49:20Speaker 2: was waiting on him to have used some some derogatory
- 1:49:23Speaker 2: terms or at least something. He just told it like
- 1:49:28Speaker 2: it was. We're ten and fifteen, we got blue out
- 1:49:31Speaker 2: by Houston, we won one game in the Big twelve,
- 1:49:35Speaker 2: and these cats are embarrassing me. I'm embarrassed, as he said,
- 1:49:40Speaker 2: for the university. I'm embarrassed for our fans, our students.
- 1:49:45Speaker 2: Big Kenny, this sounded like what you used to do
- 1:49:47Speaker 2: when they call coach MA. I'm gonna say it to
- 1:49:51Speaker 2: you softly, then I'm gonna say it to you loud.
- 1:49:53Speaker 2: Then I'm gonna go to go tell everybody everybody and
- 1:49:56Speaker 2: see something. I gotta get to get you going right.
- 1:50:00Speaker 11: And it used to be you'd be saying it loud
- 1:50:03Speaker 11: and people be in the background, like tell them coach, Amen, preacher,
- 1:50:07Speaker 11: say that, coach say that, you say that, I'd have
- 1:50:12Speaker 11: been to cut somebody by.
- 1:50:13Speaker 12: Now you know everybody be on your side. It's up
- 1:50:15Speaker 12: to the coach. I ain't got nothing to do with that,
- 1:50:17Speaker 12: but comand this used to be just good old. Now
- 1:50:21Speaker 12: you got your agents and your mama's and your dad
- 1:50:23Speaker 12: and everybody in on them.
- 1:50:25Speaker 8: There's a there's a clip from from this show. A
- 1:50:29Speaker 8: couple of years ago. We were talking about good bullying. Uh,
- 1:50:32Speaker 8: this this is one of those examples like sometimes I
- 1:50:36Speaker 8: gotta look if the players, if I need to get
- 1:50:40Speaker 8: this team going, sometimes I gotta say something like this.
- 1:50:44Speaker 2: I'm gonna have to say something, you know.
- 1:50:45Speaker 8: And he went to the decks of the taking the
- 1:50:47Speaker 8: names off the uniforms, like y'all, y'all, y'all, gotta earn
- 1:50:52Speaker 8: this spot. So but the university saw it as not
- 1:50:57Speaker 8: supporting the student athlete and embarrassment to the school. So
- 1:51:03Speaker 8: he was embarrassed. But him say that he's embarrassed and
- 1:51:05Speaker 8: also embarrassed the school. And I would wonder if coach
- 1:51:08Speaker 8: could go and interview them, what would you have done?
- 1:51:13Speaker 2: Well? That would be if coaches good what I tried,
- 1:51:16Speaker 2: Because you're gonna come in there with your list of
- 1:51:19Speaker 2: what some therapist told you to go through, and coach
- 1:51:22Speaker 2: gonna say, yeah, I did all that positive rings I
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: started off with you positive. You would almost have to
- 1:51:29Speaker 2: tell me coach started here and he didn't go through
- 1:51:34Speaker 2: the extra meeting and the extra running, and he didn't
- 1:51:39Speaker 2: he go through the studying, and he just started right here.
- 1:51:42Speaker 11: He just lost a couple of games and then went
- 1:51:45Speaker 11: in on the team. So what you know, and to
- 1:51:49Speaker 11: hear this, it takes.
- 1:51:51Speaker 2: Me back over.
- 1:51:54Speaker 12: The weekend high school coach time out doing the baseball
- 1:51:58Speaker 12: game pictures of the mound.
- 1:52:01Speaker 2: He dropped a couple of f bombs.
- 1:52:03Speaker 12: I felt good because I heard him actually talk to
- 1:52:06Speaker 12: his players and you know what, they went out there
- 1:52:09Speaker 12: and they did what they had to do to win
- 1:52:10Speaker 12: the game. Because he is that's taken away. What I'm
- 1:52:13Speaker 12: saying is that's being taken away from the coach now,
- 1:52:17Speaker 12: especially on that amateur, amateur level, because you don't understand.
- 1:52:22Speaker 20: Dude it.
- 1:52:25Speaker 2: There's kids right now to tell you, oh, I'm going
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: to the league. No, you're not. Now with that attitude
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: and that thought process. Now, all teams are different. Some
- 1:52:35Speaker 2: teams can just be talked. Some of you have to scream,
- 1:52:37Speaker 2: some of you have to make runs. Something you have
- 1:52:39Speaker 2: to use fear, some of you have to use love.
- 1:52:42Speaker 2: It's really just there is no set formula for and
- 1:52:45Speaker 2: that's year to year. That's year to year because once
- 1:52:50Speaker 2: you win the championship, now I gotta treat you a
- 1:52:52Speaker 2: little different on how you come back. Nah, come good. Coaches,
- 1:52:56Speaker 2: keep that same thing.
- 1:52:57Speaker 6: You know.
- 1:52:58Speaker 2: But but you came back and tell when we went
- 1:53:00Speaker 2: out here, you look like you've arrived because we won
- 1:53:03Speaker 2: a championship. Now I got to show you a side
- 1:53:05Speaker 2: of coach that was here last year, because last year
- 1:53:09Speaker 2: I just used to talk and y'all would get it.
- 1:53:10Speaker 2: Then you start winning. Now you like right? I called
- 1:53:13Speaker 2: you three I call your name four times. I gotta
- 1:53:17Speaker 2: do something different. Call you on your phone. I say
- 1:53:19Speaker 2: you looking at it and you say, I ain't gonna answer.
- 1:53:20Speaker 2: Now that's coaching. Savannah James has said that she and
- 1:53:25Speaker 2: this is the wife of Lebron James. A big debate
- 1:53:29Speaker 2: over her saying that one of her favorite activities is
- 1:53:32Speaker 2: to go to the strip club. Now do you think
- 1:53:35Speaker 2: people are having an issue that Savannah is a wife,
- 1:53:42Speaker 2: a mother or a woman when she makes this statement?
- 1:53:49Speaker 2: Although for those that have an issue with her saying that,
- 1:53:52Speaker 2: you say a woman a woman because there are plenty
- 1:53:57Speaker 2: of husbands and fathers in the strip club, so the
- 1:54:03Speaker 2: only separation would be that I'm male in your female command?
- 1:54:08Speaker 2: She what what angle you think would be? Most people they, oh, she,
- 1:54:13Speaker 2: I can't believe she said that because she's a wife.
- 1:54:15Speaker 2: I I can't believe she said that because she's a mother.
- 1:54:19Speaker 8: I would say a wife if she's like going without
- 1:54:23Speaker 8: without lebroad or you know, that's an issue. Even if
- 1:54:27Speaker 8: she's like going with friends or whatever. Once gets married,
- 1:54:32Speaker 8: she's not supposed to be right, you don't do that stuff.
- 1:54:38Speaker 2: Okay? Is it a wife? And it could be other category.
- 1:54:43Speaker 2: I've just when I was jotting this down, I was
- 1:54:45Speaker 2: wondering what would be because as a man, everybody thinks
- 1:54:50Speaker 2: it's whatever married or they don't care if you're married
- 1:54:53Speaker 2: or anything they you know. But as a woman, I
- 1:54:56Speaker 2: was wondering which angle is it a wife? A mother?
- 1:54:59Speaker 2: Because I can't believe she is. She got those three kids,
- 1:55:02Speaker 2: you know, them three kids sitting at home watching about
- 1:55:05Speaker 2: it in the strip club.
- 1:55:06Speaker 12: Well, it's because she's a wife and being a wife
- 1:55:10Speaker 12: as a woman. I mean, that's basically what it is.
- 1:55:12Speaker 12: Because she is a wife, and that's why my wife can't.
- 1:55:15Speaker 2: Go to strip club.
- 1:55:16Speaker 12: I'm not saying she can't, but that's why they're coming
- 1:55:19Speaker 12: after her. I mean, I mean, I thought, I'll shoot,
- 1:55:22Speaker 12: I'm like Lebron, you know what I'm saying. My man,
- 1:55:35Speaker 12: we've learned to let him live in he he got
- 1:55:40Speaker 12: no problem with it because she told you how you know,
- 1:55:43Speaker 12: how you know Lebron, She wouldn't have put it out there.
- 1:55:46Speaker 11: That might be, that might be, that might be Lebron's
- 1:55:49Speaker 11: Achilles here every time I come back from off the road,
- 1:55:53Speaker 11: you somewhere in the strip club?
- 1:55:55Speaker 2: Hey, Savannah? So but didn he want us to play
- 1:56:01Speaker 2: a gospel song take Me to the King? It's funny
- 1:56:05Speaker 2: how that works.
- 1:56:06Speaker 11: Charlie said he want to see Shirley season in the country.
- 1:56:08Speaker 11: I thought about that. Yeah, she should be in there.
- 1:56:12Speaker 2: Does she have enough catalog of that? Does she have
- 1:56:18Speaker 2: enough catalog of it? Not just one song? You like
- 1:56:21Speaker 2: to see it?
- 1:56:22Speaker 12: I'm saying because once again he's looking at the element
- 1:56:25Speaker 12: where rock and roll was built off a country and
- 1:56:30Speaker 12: that that ain't what I okay, but that's what I'm
- 1:56:32Speaker 12: just That ain't what I asked you.
- 1:56:34Speaker 11: I asked you does she have I asked you his
- 1:56:38Speaker 11: question because you said you'd like to see it as well.
- 1:56:41Speaker 2: Does she have a catalog? Does she have a catalog
- 1:56:43Speaker 2: of music that? No, she don't have a catalog. That's
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: all I was saying. Well, I don't think it's making
- 1:56:49Speaker 2: one song in a genre opens that door does it
- 1:56:54Speaker 2: because because uh no, it don't. It don't. It shouldn't.
- 1:57:01Speaker 2: DMX used to make songs where he prayed the whole song.
- 1:57:04Speaker 2: I don't think that's right in the Gospel Hall of Fame.
- 1:57:07Speaker 12: Glorilla got a Gospel trophy for that song she just
- 1:57:12Speaker 12: did at the bt.
- 1:57:16Speaker 2: Okay, but that the Hall of Fame. But I'm saying
- 1:57:18Speaker 2: she got to say, you couldn't win on an award
- 1:57:20Speaker 2: because you made a particular song.
- 1:57:22Speaker 11: It might be the most popular gospel selling song that year,
- 1:57:26Speaker 11: but it don't get you in the Gospel music Hall
- 1:57:29Speaker 11: of Fame.
- 1:57:31Speaker 2: It's a body of work things okay, And we are
- 1:57:39Speaker 2: in the ocean. The truth is he will throw your
- 1:57:45Speaker 2: in the ocean.
- 1:57:46Speaker 29: It's time to rap things up on the Sports jun
- 1:57:50Speaker 29: Show with Wayne Candy.
- 1:57:58Speaker 2: Shop when you hit the size of the ocean, get
- 1:58:10Speaker 2: this war shock just a minute to then, we like
- 1:58:11Speaker 2: to thank you for to duning into today's show that
- 1:58:15Speaker 2: Kenny Kmatchi, Greg Bab producer, thank you for your contributions
- 1:58:21Speaker 2: going to ocean today because I'm afraid it's gonna happen.
- 1:58:24Speaker 2: I'm hoping it don't, but I'm still hearing rumors about
- 1:58:27Speaker 2: this Mike Tyson Floyd Mayweather fight. I'm really I'm really concerned.
- 1:58:35Speaker 2: I'm still hearing rumors of this, and I'm concerned not
- 1:58:39Speaker 2: over somebody getting injured, but two of the legends now
- 1:58:44Speaker 2: because every time I see this, I start thinking about
- 1:58:46Speaker 2: Rocky bab Ball fighting Hulk Hogan in the movie. I
- 1:58:57Speaker 2: just it's comical. It's it's why wouldn't Mike Tyson and
- 1:59:03Speaker 2: Floyd Mayweather, a sixty year old and a fifty year
- 1:59:06Speaker 2: old fight, Why you get checked for brain damage? I
- 1:59:14Speaker 2: don't want to see them that way. I don't know
- 1:59:17Speaker 2: why people want to see their stars. The only reason
- 1:59:22Speaker 2: I want to see Lebron retire on his feet. He
- 1:59:28Speaker 2: still shows me he's an effective player, so let him play.
- 1:59:33Speaker 2: When he stops, hopefully he'll retire. But I don't want
- 1:59:36Speaker 2: to see Mike Tyson and Floyd Mayweather do anything but
- 1:59:40Speaker 2: go to the strip club with the bad producer and Lebron.
- 1:59:45Speaker 2: Lebron's that's it. Pick you up. But please, whoever out
- 1:59:50Speaker 2: there and putting this together, y'all throw them people in
- 1:59:53Speaker 2: the ocean. Whoever came up with is only in America.
- 1:59:59Speaker 2: Only in America, and Floyd is my idea because Mike
- 2:00:06Speaker 2: needs some money. Just give him the five million. Man,
- 2:00:09Speaker 2: come on, man, you go bro, Just go give him
- 2:00:12Speaker 2: the five million you was gonna spend on some luggage
- 2:00:14Speaker 2: this year. You know you got like that five million
- 2:00:16Speaker 2: dollar luggage buddy budget. Just get a man the money
- 2:00:20Speaker 2: and don't do this because it sounded like, hey, yeah, man,
- 2:00:23Speaker 2: I'll help you out. Man, let's have a fight. Don't
- 2:00:25Speaker 2: do that floor. Just the five million you gave you
