South Africa has made important progress in the fight against tuberculosis (TB), but the country is not yet winning the battle. TB remains one of the leading causes of death in South Africa, and although there have been significant improvements in diagnosis, treatment access, and prevention efforts over the past decade, the funding cuts from the US seem to have set us back a little bit.
