- 0:04OK man, so one day this cat comes to Jesus and says, hey
- 0:08Jesus, I don't want to be a cat anymore man.
- 0:11A talking cat. Yeah, well, you're a talking
- 0:14fish. It's just that I don't remember
- 0:17any talking cats in the Bible. There was a talking snake and a
- 0:21talking donkey and a talking cat.
- 0:25I'll take your word for it. Finish your story.
- 0:28So the cat falls in front of Jesus and he says to Jesus, hey
- 0:32Jesus, I don't want to be a cat no more.
- 0:35If you are willing, I can be clean.
- 0:38Why would a cat say that to Jesus?
- 0:40Man, I don't know. Maybe the cat was tired of
- 0:43licking himself clean. If Jesus made him clean, then he
- 0:47could just be lazy. What kind of a cat was it?
- 0:51It was a leopard man. It was a leopard.
- 0:55Yeah, that's what I say. No, you said leopard, which is a
- 0:59big cat. I said leopard, which is someone
- 1:02with a disease called leprosy. Oh, so why did he want to be
- 1:07clean? Couldn't he take a bath or
- 1:09something? He wanted Jesus to heal him.
- 1:12Why didn't he just say that? Jesus, if you're willing, you
- 1:16can make me healed. Well, in the Bible, if you were
- 1:20a leper, you were called unclean.
- 1:22Dirty. What?
- 1:24Where I grew up, if you were not clean, you weren't called dirty.
- 1:27Anyway, nobody dared to touch someone that was unclean.
- 1:31Dirty. Because if they did, they would
- 1:34become unclean. Or dirty.
- 1:37Finish your story. So Jesus, he touches the leper.
- 1:43I thought nobody could touch a leper.
- 1:45If you touch a leper, you become a leper, unless you're Jesus.
- 1:49And the leper knew that. That's why he asked Jesus to
- 1:53heal him. I mean, make him clean.
- 1:55Yes. Why did he ask?
- 1:58I would have just tackled Jesus or something.
- 2:00He was being polite, which is our word for today.
- 2:04You do know what polite means, don't you, Paco?
- 2:07Of course, one time I was with my Papa in his car and the
- 2:11engine died. So he called my uncle to bring
- 2:14his truck and chain and hook the car to the back of the truck
- 2:17with the chain so my uncle could pull it.
- 2:20I guess Jesus was like my uncle, huh?
- 2:22I am really confused right now. Instead of the leper pulling
- 2:27Jesus into being dirty, Jesus pulled him into being healed.
- 2:31Wait A pull it, Jesus. Pull it.
- 2:33Pull it it. It's not.
- 2:34Pull it. The word is polite.
- 2:37It means to be nice. Matthew 711 says God gives good
- 2:42gifts to those who ask him. The leper nicely asked Jesus to
- 2:46heal him. And Jesus nicely pulled it out
- 2:49of him. Pull it.
- 2:50Pull it. Humans.
- 2:55Hey, you left without saying goodbye.
- 2:57That's not very polite, man. OK, so one day there was this
- 3:16Abuelita. About what?
- 3:18Abuelita, a little old lady. Why don't you say, little old
- 3:21lady? Why don't you understand
- 3:23abuelita? I do now.
- 3:26Problem solved. So the abuelita was sick for a
- 3:29long time, like 12 years, and she spent all her money going to
- 3:33the doctor's, but none of them could help her.
- 3:36So she finds out about Jesus, man.
- 3:38He went around doing good and healing all the sick people.
- 3:42That's right. But she is supposed to be self
- 3:45quarantined because she is sick but instead of staying home she
- 3:49wants to go see Jesus and get healed.
- 3:51Did she put on a face mask and rubber gloves before going out?
- 3:55I don't know. I wasn't there.
- 3:57What about social distancing? Did she stay away from other
- 4:01people? Maybe that's why she crawled
- 4:03through the crowd, so she wouldn't breathe on people's
- 4:05faces. She crawled on the ground.
- 4:09Was she crippled? No, she was trying to get
- 4:12through the crowd of people safely without her mask on, so
- 4:16nobody could call 311 on her. Are you sure?
- 4:20It's my story, man. So she finally gets to Jesus and
- 4:24she touches the bottom of his robe and gets healed.
- 4:27From touching the bottom of his robe.
- 4:30Well, she didn't want to give him her germs, I guess, man.
- 4:33Wow, that's being persistent, you know, first Peter 224 says
- 4:39by Jesus stripes, I am healed. Being persistent keeps us
- 4:43believing God's word, even when it doesn't look like it's true.
- 4:47That's what the woman in your story did, Paco.
- 4:50She was persistent. Yeah, you'd be sweating too if
- 4:53you had to crawl on the ground through a crowd of people.
- 4:55Wait, you think persistent means sweating?
- 4:59Yeah man. Everybody knows that it helps if
- 5:02you put on some anti persistent. What are you looking at me like
- 5:06that for? You don't know what anti
- 5:08persistent is. Oh what am I saying?
- 5:11You're a fish. Of course you don't use anti
- 5:13persistent look fish. Anti persistent is something
- 5:16people put on their armpits so that they don't sweat too much.
- 5:20Persistent is the word for today.
- 5:23Persistent is when you keep doing something, even if it's
- 5:26hard because it's the right thing to do.
- 5:30Which will make you sweat. Anytime you do something hard,
- 5:33you will start to sweat. Persistent.
- 5:38I can't argue with that. So one day Jesus tells his
- 5:55disciples, hey, I'm going to hang back here while you homies
- 5:59go and go tell the peoples God loves them.
- 6:01They're peoples. Don't you mean the people?
- 6:04Well, there was a bunch of people, so it's plural peoples.
- 6:07Never mind. So Jesus says you go tell the
- 6:10peoples God loves him and heal the sick peoples.
- 6:13I guess he wanted to stay home and watch something on TV.
- 6:16They. Didn't have TV's back then.
- 6:18Oh well, maybe he was tired of something Anyways, so the
- 6:22disciples go and tell the peoples that God loves him, and
- 6:25then they pray for the sick peoples and the sick peoples get
- 6:28healed. Without Jesus being.
- 6:30There, that's what I said. So the devil had to leave the
- 6:33sick peoples alone because the disciples pray for them like
- 6:36they had the same power that Jesus had.
- 6:39And we have the same power Jesus has when we ask Jesus to live in
- 6:43our heart. That's right Paco.
- 6:45We have the same power that Jesus has.
- 6:48So when something bad happens we don't have to cry.
- 6:51We can tell the problem to go away like Jesus would do and we
- 6:55say in Jesus name because we are his disciples.
- 6:59Now that's being. Brave.
- 7:02Brave. Yeah, brave.
- 7:04That's the word for the day. We have to always remember that
- 7:08we have the greater one living inside of us.
- 7:10God is on our side. In fact, Jesus said in Luke
- 7:151019, I give you power over the enemy, knowing that makes us
- 7:20brave. Are you brave, Paco?
- 7:23I can't have a brave my hair is not long enough.
- 7:26What? Sometimes my mom will brave my
- 7:28sister's hair because it's long and my sister will start to cry
- 7:31because it hurts. But my mom says stop your
- 7:33crying. And then she does.
- 7:35And then she has a brave in her hair.
- 7:37That's a braid, not brave. Oh yeah, a braid so I can be
- 7:42brave. I don't have to have long hair.
- 7:44Yes, you can be brave, and no, you don't have to have long
- 7:48hair. But Samson was brave and he had
- 7:51long hair. You're brave when you do the
- 7:53works of Jesus, When you tell people that God loves them, when
- 7:58you pray for sick people so they can be healed, When you tell the
- 8:01devil to leave you alone in Jesus name.
- 8:05And you're brave when you don't cry, when you have long hair and
- 8:07your mom gives you a braid, right?
- 8:12Brave with a braid and the brush and the God, Right.
- 8:19Brave. OK, so one day Jesus was
- 8:36surrounded by 10 leopards. Wait, you already told this
- 8:40story? No.
- 8:41I told a story about one leopard.
- 8:44This story has 10 leopards. OK, but they're not leopards.
- 8:49They're lepers. Remember, they have a disease
- 8:53that's very contagious. Oh yeah, well, maybe they were
- 8:57wearing leopard masks so they wouldn't give their germs to
- 9:00anyone. Just tell the story.
- 9:03Anyways, they were practicing social distancing, so they had
- 9:07to yell at Jesus. They said, eh, Mr. Jesus.
- 9:11Mr. Jesus. It's in the Bible.
- 9:14So the leopards, they say, maybe you could see us now if you're
- 9:17not too busy. But Jesus was too busy, So he
- 9:20said go let the priest look at you.
- 9:22I'm too busy. I think the priest helps Jesus
- 9:25with the little stuff, you know what I mean?
- 9:27I guess. So when they start heading to
- 9:29church where the priest is working, all their leopard spots
- 9:32fall off. You mean their sores were all
- 9:36healed same? Thing So one of the leopards
- 9:40that's not a leopard anymore because he doesn't have any
- 9:42spots comes back to Jesus and falls down, probably because
- 9:46he's tired from walking back and forth.
- 9:48But he tells Jesus, muchas gracias.
- 9:51Mucha what? It means thanks a lot and Jesus
- 9:54says, hold on, weren't there 10 leopards that lost their spots
- 9:58and only you come back to say muchas gracias, thank you.
- 10:01And the guy says, well, I'm a slow meriton, but I'm not as
- 10:04slow as those other nine are. Not slow, meriton Samaritan.
- 10:10We've talked about this before. Oh yeah, the good slow Meritan.
- 10:14I remember him. But this isn't the same guy
- 10:17anyway, so Jesus tells him you are the only one who came to
- 10:21give glory to God, so your faith has made you completely well.
- 10:26He was thankful. Paco, that's our word for today,
- 10:301st Thessalonians 518 says in everything, give thanks.
- 10:35Well, I'm thankful I didn't have to say.
- 10:38Thessalonians. Yeah, that.
- 10:41Hey, how do you know all these big words, man?
- 10:43I went to school. Yeah, I go to school too.
- 10:46So how did you like my story? You didn't correct me this time.
- 10:49I got it right. Huh.
- 10:50The story of the 10 leopards. 10 leopards, not leopards.
- 10:56And you got most of it right. Which part did I mess up?
- 11:00Well since you're asking, the lepers didn't say Mr. Jesus,
- 11:06they said Jesus Master have mercy on us.
- 11:10So Jesus said go show yourself to the priest.
- 11:12Because people healed of leprosy had to have a priest check them
- 11:16before they could go back home. Go back home.
- 11:19Yeah, they don't have to socially distance anymore now
- 11:24that they don't have leprosy. Oh, and they don't have to wear
- 11:27masks anymore either. That's a lot to be thankful for.
- 11:30Yes, it is. You know what I'm thankful for?
- 11:33What? That I have a friend like you,
- 11:35man. Really.
- 11:37I am. I don't even know how to end
- 11:40this because you're not splashing away like you normally
- 11:42do, All right?
- 11:55So one time in the Bible, El Rey says to this dude.
- 12:01Who's El Rey? El Rey is the king man.
- 12:06Oh. Yeah, so El Rey says you owe me
- 12:10millions of pesos and the dude says please Ray, I would pay
- 12:15you. I just need more time.
- 12:17My wife and kids spend all my money.
- 12:19I'm working hard, but it's not enough.
- 12:21You know what I mean? So what did El Ray say?
- 12:25He says, ah, don't worry about it.
- 12:26I got you, man. You don't owe me anything.
- 12:30Starting today. Wow.
- 12:32I'll bet he was happy. Right.
- 12:35Only you know what that dude does?
- 12:37He goes to his homie because his homie owes him a few pesos and
- 12:40he says give me my pesos now or I will throw you in jail homes.
- 12:44After what El Rey did for him. I know.
- 12:48So when El Rey finds out what the dude did to his homie, he
- 12:52sends for the dude and he tells the dude, hey, are you local,
- 12:55man? After all I did for you.
- 12:57You can't do the same for your homes.
- 13:00And and. Then Rey had the dude thrown in
- 13:02prison. That's too bad.
- 13:05If only Mr. Dude would have learned the word for today.
- 13:09What's the word for today? I'm glad you asked.
- 13:12The word for today is forgiving. That's what got him into all
- 13:17this trouble. He was forgiving all the time.
- 13:20What weren't you paying attention?
- 13:22Every penny he made was forgiving to his wife and kids.
- 13:26He had nothing for to give El Rey.
- 13:30No, no, no forgive. Like when El Rey told Mr. Dude
- 13:34he didn't have to pay him back, he forgave him.
- 13:37I forgive forgave. Which is it, man?
- 13:40Both El Rey forgave Mr. Dude. Mr. Dude should Forgive Homie
- 13:47instead of throwing him in jail. So the word for today is forgive
- 13:51and forgave. It's forgive.
- 13:54Forgave is past tense. After you forgive someone, then
- 13:57you say you forgave them. Oh, like after your wife and
- 14:01kids spend all your money and you have nothing left for to
- 14:04give them, then you say, well, I forgave you all my money, so I
- 14:08have nothing left for to give a ray.
- 14:11No, you're not understanding what I'm saying.
- 14:14Well, you are speaking fish speak English.
- 14:18OK, Second Corinthians 521 says Jesus became sin.
- 14:23For me that means Jesus died to forgive our sins.
- 14:27Who did he give our sins to? He didn't give them to anybody,
- 14:31he took them from us. You mean Jesus stole our sins?
- 14:37Well, I guess. Man, what does he need our sins
- 14:42for? He doesn't need our sin.
- 14:44Oh wait, 'cause he doesn't have any sin.
- 14:47The Bible says Jesus never sinned, so he forestole our
- 14:51sins. Huh.
- 14:53But who did he give them to? He didn't give them to anyone,
- 14:56he forgave them. Bastards.
- 14:59What? He forestall our sins, and when
- 15:01we weren't looking, he forgave them to the devil.
- 15:06It's not exactly English and it's not exactly Bible, but it
- 15:12works for me.
