- 0:00Because fuck you, that's why is a founding member of the Odd Pods Media
- 0:04Network. Hello, and welcome to episode one nine zero of b F Y
- 0:42t W. That's right, folks, we have this ten episodes away from
- 0:48episode two hundred show. Are we going to do it? It's creeping up
- 0:52on us, it's crazy. Are we gonna do it on time? Or
- 0:56are we going to stretch it out with a series of increasingly more ridiculous No,
- 1:03we probably promised you will never do that again. Well I promise we
- 1:07won't do it this time. All right, to watch out, I'll never
- 1:19get there right if we have anything about it. No special guests this time,
- 1:26just our usual buffoonery. So let me just quickly introduce our players.
- 1:30First up, he's a gamer and a storyteller, and he used to be
- 1:34my youngest friend. It's Augie. Yeah like it. It's been a while.
- 1:55Yeah, okay, So we just just got rush off doing and recording
- 2:00with the gate Leapers for their upcoming episode about task Master. And task Master
- 2:07was, you know, a huge influence on my book. But I guess
- 2:15i'll gi The question I'm going to ask, is is there anything you've seen
- 2:20on task Master that you would like to try in real life. Oh man,
- 2:25Like, there's there was one where they did. Ah was it?
- 2:30They were trying to get a ball to hit off of something or get into
- 2:34something, but they had to do it from as far distance as they could.
- 2:38Was it the one get a tea bag into a mug from the furthest
- 2:40distance? I think it might have been that. I'm like, I'm like
- 2:44that saying it's like something something goofy and funny to do. Yeah, with
- 2:46stuff you have lying around the house. Yeah, it's like just to see
- 2:50could you actually reach from that far if you need it to? Yeah,
- 2:54yeah, that one, That one I would also enjoy taking a swing at.
- 3:00Uh. Yeah. So look forward to that episode of Kate Leabers.
- 3:02By the way, it includes one of the silliest things we have ever done
- 3:06in our lives still window. Yeah, you're gonna want to listen to that,
- 3:15and we'll probably have something of it up for our Patreon at some point.
- 3:19So you're not a subscriber now, you might want to think about.
- 3:23Trust me, it will be worth it. And his opponent he's a podcast
- 3:30a pad coster, uh pod coster, and a vat or wren. He's
- 3:38a podcaster and a veteran and it's Stevie. Dammit, it's Steve. Steve.
- 3:49I blame it on my dumb ass. Cough Stevie. How you doing,
- 3:53man, I'm doing pretty good today, sir. I'm feeling pretty hard
- 3:55and good. Yeah, it was so far. We had a we had
- 3:59a lot of fun on that test Master episode. So I'll ask you the
- 4:01same thing because I know you've seen I think you've seen more test Master than
- 4:04Augie has. I'm pretty sure by far. But is there is there any
- 4:08one particular task that you saw that you would like to take a swing at,
- 4:12ir L. There are a lot, but I don't know. I'm
- 4:15a fan of trying to find things that are hard to find, so I
- 4:18believe there was one that I had to find a bunch of little ducks and
- 4:21they were hidden in like inside the table legs and stuff, and then like,
- 4:25oh, yeah, it's had the black lights. Turn the lights off
- 4:27you can see them and stuff like like that. Stuff always intrigued me.
- 4:30It's like a little like a word search, but with pictures. The picture
- 4:33is super inventive. Yeah, find ten ducks. Yeah, it was just
- 4:36something really fun and how many things, how they did it? Was cool.
- 4:40It's like, wow, that's really smart to hide something I never would
- 4:42have thought of that. You know, you know, good inspiration for other
- 4:45such holidays if you have little ones. It was wild. Yeah yeah,
- 4:48hi here, uh so good pick. Thank you. Finally, I am
- 4:54your host, pantiless Aaron some stoners. I should change my intro from I
- 5:14am your host and published novelist. Hey, yeah, go Dane is doing
- 5:20really well. It sold tens of copies and uh bullshit, I know,
- 5:28at least by how many people I've seen with a copy of your book.
- 5:30There's been more than tens of copies. My man, well sales figures say
- 5:34otherwise, be fair. I also gave away a bunch I mean, as
- 5:40you do well to people who assisted with the book. So in any event,
- 5:47yeah no. And for me, the one that sticks out, the
- 5:51one that I would probably want to do the most, is the escape room
- 5:54one from I think is series eleven or twelve, I don't remember what serious
- 5:59number it was, but was the one that had Victoria Korn Mitchell in it,
- 6:02and she was working with Alan Davies and separately in two separate rooms,
- 6:06but they couldn't leave the room, so they each had their own like half
- 6:11of the escape puzzle and the other person had to communicate to the other person
- 6:15want to do to solve their puzzle. I just thought that was genius and
- 6:17it would be so much fun to figure out, like I would have done
- 6:20doing that. That would have been a lot of fun. Oh my gosh,
- 6:23it'd be difficult, but I like it. I like escape rooms to
- 6:27begin with, but like ones that's deliberately separate, you like like h and
- 6:31I'm just it's a minor spoiler for my book, but there's something very similar
- 6:35in my book. Obviously. It was a huge influence, so, you
- 6:40know, for one reason or another. But I really I really dig that
- 6:44so very clearly. So yeah, so that's what I'd want to do.
- 6:47We have a normal episode for you. We're just gonna play three silly games
- 6:51which every one of these two idiots manages to get the most points over the
- 6:54course of the episode will win, and they will get the concept of play.
- 7:00Yay, what concept? No, conceptually, let's play. It's it's
- 7:06for you. You will understand it when you get it, hopefully because you
- 7:12don't have it now, so you're like, what is play? But you'll
- 7:15get it? Should be a good time. So let's get straight into our
- 7:20games. Should bigger game One is called broken headlines. It's been a while
- 7:25since we've done this headlines. I'm going to pose three headlines to our players
- 7:30from news stories with the most important words blanked out. Players will They will
- 7:35then fill in the blanks however they want, and you can earn a point
- 7:39one of two ways. If you can make me laugh with your headline,
- 7:42you'll earn a point. But you will also earn a point if you're reasonably
- 7:46close to the actual headline. So it's up to you whether you want to
- 7:48go for funny or try and guess what the actual headline is. The most
- 7:55points after three headlines wins, and you'll earn one episode point. So if
- 8:00all ready to go your first broken headline, gentlemen, Notorious Summerset blank band
- 8:07from wearing blank and writhing on the ground. I'll repeat it one more time
- 8:16for those playing at home. Notorious Somerset blank Band from wearing blank and writhing
- 8:24on the ground. Wow, Oggie's got an idea. OGGI just go ahead
- 8:37and raise your hand when you're ready, Goggy, you're ready, go ahead?
- 8:39Okay, what was the thing in Notorious Somerset Big Band from wearing tank
- 8:48shirts and crowd It sounds good, dude, very nice, good old in
- 9:00the Summerset b I G. I like that, man, Well done.
- 9:05You definitely get a point for making me laugh, dude, obviously nowhere near.
- 9:09Yeah, Stevie, I'm scared. What do you got? Ogie came
- 9:16like fucking prepared. Notorious Summerset flasher wearing pasties. Oh wait, what was
- 9:24it? Oh, banned from from wearing pasties the ground. It's interesting,
- 9:31It's not close enough to the correct and it didn't make me laugh, So
- 9:37no point for you. So Oggie is the only one who gets a point
- 9:39on this one. The actual headline was notorious Summerset gimp banned from wearing masks
- 9:46and writhing on the ground. But you can wear the whole suit, just
- 9:50not the masks. Apparently, yeah, they just banned the masks. So
- 9:56but apparently this guy would go out in full gimp suit and just like writhe
- 10:01on the crowd like for whatever reason going out why the spectacle. But if
- 10:07you think that's crazy, you ain't seen nothing yet. Let's move on to
- 10:11our second headline. August's going to lead one to zero and here is your
- 10:16second headline. Please note there are two blanks in a row on this one.
- 10:22UK police taser naked blank, blank rampaging through nursing home with blank and
- 10:33blank. So, once again, for those playing at home or for those
- 10:39who want to write it down, UK police taser naked blank, blank rampaging
- 10:48through nursing home with blank and blank. And as soon as either of you
- 10:56have an idea and are ready to go, go ahead and raise your hand
- 11:01and I'll try to keep talking so Stevie doesn't have to edit too much out
- 11:03steee like you're the best, looking out for you, bro looking out for
- 11:09you. Hell yeah, I have UK police taser naked grandmother rampaging through nursing
- 11:16home with catheter and colossitity bag. God's just running by squeezing them at people.
- 11:31That's horrifying, steitis. It did get a laugh out of me,
- 11:35so one point guaranteed, Well, thank you. Do you got something funny
- 11:41or do you think you got something possibly close? I'll have to go for
- 11:43the close ones. So it would you have to be like rampaging homeless man?
- 11:50What rampaging through nursing home with blank and blank with hammer and trash can
- 12:01lidon't hurt anybody. I was the homeless man part didn't get me to laugh.
- 12:09But the trash can absolutely like he's running through with a hammer and a
- 12:13shield like a little little hobo Paladino pal the UK Police taser naked homeless paladin
- 12:26Believe it or not, the real answer is crazier than that. The actual
- 12:30headline reads UK Police taser naked opera singer rampaging through nursing home with bow and
- 12:37arrow. Holy shit, it's scary. Yeah, yeah, just running through
- 12:41a nursing home. Apparently arrow though, did you have to retrieve it every
- 12:46time? It might have been arrows? I just put arrow down just because
- 12:48Okay, I mean, I'm not saying it's still not scary, but just
- 12:52a little less. Well, it'd have to be one arrow. Where would
- 12:54she store the other arrow? Yeah? Naked? Yeah, she has a
- 12:58quick her. That's horrifying. She might have two quivers. Three of her
- 13:09mouth opens wed. Alright, let's let's move on before we get to So
- 13:15you both got a point on that one because both made me laugh. Yeah,
- 13:18I know we're on the same team, but is still leading two points
- 13:22to one. Steevie, this is your last chance to catch up. And
- 13:24here's the third and final broken headline. Burglars steal two valuable tanks from Irish
- 13:31farm containing blank blank. Augie's got his hand up already. I am going
- 13:41to reread it for the people who want to play along at home. Burglars
- 13:45steal two valuable tanks from Irish farm containing blank blank. Very good, very
- 13:58good. Uh, Stevie, do you have an answer? Oh, my
- 14:01god, dude, you fucker. I think that's the actual answer, though
- 14:07it probably isn't. Burglar steel. Was it two tanks? Uh from Irish
- 14:15farm containing chicken poo Dude, chicken poozer for you to who know, No,
- 14:20chicken poo is like the best thing in the world. Like you get
- 14:24little amounts, it makes everything grow. All right, all right, I'm
- 14:26very very happy for you. You did get a point because you did make
- 14:30me laugh. But got a point because he's correct. It was bull seamen
- 14:35bull Yeah, bully, not cows, even cows are female bowls. Yeah,
- 14:41but I gave you but you were clearly close enough, so I gave
- 14:43you the point. So this game ends three points to two. Very good,
- 14:50my god. One game one just to get a point on every headline,
- 14:56Well, done right tearing it up today. Uh yeah, Augie gets
- 15:00all yet one point and is in the lead, but Stevie can easily catch
- 15:05up or take the lead. Game two is gonna be worth two points and
- 15:07it's coming up right after this. Hello friends, this is an AI version
- 15:20of John. Lauren has the power to make me say anything she wants me
- 15:22to say. She decided that I needed to tell you to listen to the
- 15:24beard Al podcast. It's the podcast where we talk about two of the best
- 15:28things in the world, beer and the wonderful weird Al. She also wants
- 15:31me to tell you that she rules and I drool. Lauren is awesome.
- 15:35I smell like feet. Go listen to the beard Al podcast, available wherever
- 15:39you get podcasts. Lauren is the best at running the show. I'm just
- 15:43side talent. Lauren is so great. Hey man, we actually got a
- 15:58voicemail and some comments. So finally a voicemail. Yeah, were so happy,
- 16:07Thank you. We have to ask no, no, It's okay,
- 16:12all right, So what should we do first? We want to do the
- 16:15comment. Let's say the comment. Let's say the voicemail for the So what
- 16:18Patreon comments did we get? We got to comment on our pre show and
- 16:22breaks, which is what we call our behind the mics that we add for
- 16:25Patreon only. Yeah, it's from Casey Smith. So I said so much
- 16:29fun. I needed those lasts from that last one. Oh yeah, momus
- 16:32content there, happy, Happy to have you on the show and have those
- 16:36laughs with you, Casey. A lot of fun, man, Oh my
- 16:38god, I really appreciate you coming along and playing with us. Yep.
- 16:42And then she didn't comment again on the early release episode of the Shane or
- 16:48Thane Exhaustion yep. That's all right, yep, and on there because you
- 16:53also get early release episodes if you're part of our Patreon It said, so
- 16:57much fun. As always, I will come on the show anytime. Hell
- 17:00yeah, Casey, thank you. We'll have you anytime a thousand percent.
- 17:04Uh yeah, it's legitimately a blast and that's all our comments correct. All
- 17:10right. So let's hear this voicemail. Yep, voicemail. Hey guys,
- 17:14Casey here I thought I was that I would like to throw into a dumpster
- 17:18fire. I work at a medical office, and when I call a patient
- 17:25up to get them registered for their exam, one of two things that I
- 17:30can't stand that people do is smack their gum and snap like top their gum.
- 17:40Like while I'm trying to check them in for their taste, they're just
- 17:45like smacking their gum and snapping it and popping it. I think it's just
- 17:48absolutely disgusting and it drives me crazy, no understand. Also, while they're
- 17:56snapping their gum, they're tapping the desk with their fingernail or their finger.
- 18:02Wow, really annoying. Also, while I thought of one more thing,
- 18:08if they're talking on the phone, like just say, hey, you gotta
- 18:12call you back or sorry, I gotta take this. I'll be right back.
- 18:18Oh yeah, So I just thought i'd add that it's pretty bad.
- 18:23I tried to do the voicemail thing, but it wasn't working on my phone.
- 18:29So okay, I'm recording a voice memo and emailing it to you.
- 18:34Have a good one, guy Fairy, thank you, Casey. Yeah.
- 18:37So, if you have an issue using the would you like to you'd like
- 18:41to call us up and bitch about random things that bother you feel for what
- 18:47would you like to throw in a dumpster player? There's two ways to do
- 18:49that. You can go to our website only to using kids send it through
- 18:53that widget, or you can do as Casey did, record it and then
- 18:56email it. Yeah. Yeah, either way it works. That's an easier
- 18:59way to do it. Sometimes if if the if the widget isn't working for
- 19:03you, wh yeah, normally isn't It can be. It can be a
- 19:06little finicky, right, which maybe why we're not getting voicemails. I mean,
- 19:10I checked it, you know what, good point. It might just
- 19:12be just not working out mobile for some reason. In any event, that's
- 19:18it for voicemails and comments. Thank you so much for sending those in.
- 19:21Now let's get back to the games. Hey, welcome back. It's time
- 19:27for game two. Game two is going to be the cost is Correct,
- 19:32a favorite around here. Our players are going to take turns bidding on rare
- 19:37and odd items, and the closest to the retail or the last auction winning
- 19:41bid price without going over wins the listing. First player to get three listings
- 19:45wins and gets two episode points. Now, we're going to do this a
- 19:48little bit differently than we do normally because there's only two of you. So
- 19:55here's how we're going to do it. And see he's good at this game
- 19:56and I'm not. Well, we'll see how good he is, because we're
- 20:00going to play a sort of auction bidding style like they did on the original
- 20:03prices right way back in the fifties and sixties. So you're going to take
- 20:08turns bidding and overbidding and overbidding each other. Each auction will have a minimum
- 20:15amount that you'll have to bid over, so you can't go like two hundred
- 20:17and one. You know, you'll have to go at least a certain amount
- 20:21higher than them, And you'll keep going until one of two things happens.
- 20:25Either both of you decide to stop with what you've got and just you know,
- 20:27freeze there and we'll see who's closest at that point, or at some
- 20:33point during the bidding before both of you go over, but not necessarily before
- 20:41one of you goes over. I will say final bits, okay, when
- 20:45I say that you can have one last opportunity to up your bid or freeze,
- 20:51and that's it. Okay, all right, No, I like it.
- 20:53I like it, but I will do my best to make sure I
- 20:56get that in before you both go over. But I cannot guarantee that one
- 21:02of you may already be over at that point, right you don't know.
- 21:06It'll depend and I may do it. I may do it like before before
- 21:10you go over, just to be safe, but I'm going to randomize it
- 21:12a little bit, so you're not quite sure this is all right? Ready?
- 21:17Yeah? All right? So our first item up forbid is going to
- 21:19be very familiar. It's this tank full of bull semen. Oh shit,
- 21:26retail value. I don't think we've ever had one game bleed into another,
- 21:32but here we go. To be completely fair, there was no specific figure
- 21:36for this on the news story, but between the cost of the tank itself
- 21:41and the likely cost of each of the two hundred to three hundred straws or
- 21:47doses of bull semen contained therein straws, we have an estimated cost. And
- 21:53this listing will go to the one of you who bids closest to the estimated
- 21:57price. Now, the amount that you're not allowed to bid under, you
- 22:02know, the bottom the the The minimum amount you must bid over is five
- 22:07hundred dollars five hundred yes, okay, and you said how many vials?
- 22:12Uh? Two hundred to three hundred? Holy fuck? So we will start.
- 22:21Augie won the last game, so Stevie, you can decide who starts
- 22:25the bidding. Do you want to start or do you want to you gonna
- 22:27start? Actually? Okay, go ahead with your first bid. Uh,
- 22:30sixteen thousand dollars sixteen thousand, says Stevie Augie. Would you like to up
- 22:34that bid? Thirty seven hundred, three thousand seven? Oh, you're actually
- 22:40gonna go lower? You you do have to go higher? Oh? What
- 22:45did you say? He said? Sixteen thousand, oh, three thousand,
- 22:48seven hundred, sixteen thousand, Oh, sixteen thousand, sixteen hundred, sixteen
- 22:53thousand, sixteen thousand. Okay, you have to go over that. Okay,
- 22:59then in this case, I guess twenty five thousand, twenty five thousand
- 23:03is Augie's bid? Stevie, would you like to go over that? Or
- 23:06freeze? Oh? Man, you're making this difficult. I'm not calling final
- 23:11bids. Let's go forty two thousand, forty two thousand, says Stevie Augie.
- 23:18Would you like to overbid forty two thousand or stick fifty six thousand,
- 23:22fifty six thousand, three hundred files of bull semens, Stevie, all different
- 23:30bulls, different flavors. Stevie, I'm calling final bids. You are,
- 23:34I'm going to would you like to freeze on forty two thousand overbid, okay,
- 23:37forty two. So you're freezing on forty two AUGI would you like to
- 23:41freeze on fifty six thousand, I'll freeze okay. Then the actual estimated price
- 23:48between the tank and the straws of bull semen contained in the tank bull semen
- 23:53after estimating the cost of the tank and the straws in British pounds and converting
- 24:00to American dollars seventy six, seven hundred and twenty five dollars Aggie wins first
- 24:07item, you were getting three hundred samples of bowl semen. So the way
- 24:12I estimated it was the cost of the tank was twenty five hundred dollars and
- 24:17the two hundred to three hundred straws. The price that was quoted was for
- 24:22at the highest price that they could find was five hundred dollars per straw,
- 24:27So I estimated three hundred instead for like kind of like a mean average amount.
- 24:32Okay. Yeah, I was multiplied by two hundred and then added the
- 24:37twenty five hundred on top. The reason why I was converted, the reason
- 24:41why I was like starting so low, was because I was thinking like common
- 24:45livestock, like even their samples, and some of them are not that existent.
- 24:51Well, you can guess that the farmer who had the stuff stolen is
- 24:52probably putting that cost really high for the insurance company. So best of luck
- 24:56to them. Yes, okay, So, so Auguin's first item, We're
- 25:00gonna move on to our next item forbids, and that is a pound of
- 25:04saffron. This powerful spice, high in antioxidants, can only be found in
- 25:10the flower Crocus satavus, and its threads come in a vivid red color despite
- 25:15its rarity. I found a full pound of raw saffron threads on Amazon,
- 25:19and this listing can be yours if the cost is correct. Uh, Stevie,
- 25:25because you lost last one, Augie, you'll have to start the bidding
- 25:29on this one, okay, and the minimum up, the minimum amount you
- 25:33are allowed to overbid your opponent is fifty dollars okay, So saffron's not that
- 25:38much. Um. I would say one seventy five, one seventy five,
- 25:47says Augie. Stevie, hmmm, I'm gonna say six twenty five. Six
- 25:52twenty five, says Stevie. AUGI would you like to overbid or stick?
- 26:00He says, thinking very very contently, I think I'll stick stroking his mustache.
- 26:06Augie sticks on one seventy five. Stevie goes, I'm good, then
- 26:10why would I go? All right? So you're gonna stick on six to
- 26:12twenty five? Uh yeah so uh. A pound of rossaffron can go as
- 26:19high as five thousand dollars, but this particular listing on Amazon was for nineteen
- 26:26hundred dollars, so Stevie takes this one. Well done, Stevie, thank
- 26:32you, congratulations on winning. Yeah, nineteen hundred dollars for a pound of
- 26:34saffron on Amazon freed. Try to figure out, Stevie, you won the
- 26:44last one, so you're gonna start the bidding on this next item. This
- 26:47item of for VIDs is a beautiful USB stick. The adamant sixteen gigabyte USB
- 26:53drive comes with a yellow gold body, three diamonds, and only fifty of
- 27:00these were ever made back in two thousand and eight. And this listing can
- 27:03be yours if you can tell me the closest or be closest to the actual
- 27:08retail price of this item when it came out in two thousand and eight without
- 27:12going over, and the minimum uptick is one hundred dollars, Stevie, start
- 27:18us off whenever you're ready. Two thousand and eight, it was sixteen gig.
- 27:21It has three diamonds of unknown carry size, doesn't say okay? And
- 27:26one hundred dollars increments, yes, one hundred dollars increments. I'm gonna go
- 27:30with nine hundred ninety nine dollars Alex. All right, Augie, just enough
- 27:44because it's the first bid you can bit underneath him. If you want,
- 27:45okay, three diamonds, then closer is a fifteen thousand, fifteen thousand dollars
- 27:55okay. I can tell you now without even getting started, you've both gone
- 27:57way over again and bid under nine thousand, nine hundred ninety nine dollars.
- 28:03Please, I will bid it really narrow down six thousand, nine hundred and
- 28:08sixty nine dollars. Bye, Augie, three thousand. Okay, Stevie,
- 28:18do you want to stick or do you want to overbid Augie and lower your
- 28:22bid? It's only fair because I let him go lower than you on the
- 28:25first one. Yeah, you said three thousand flat. Yeah, I'd have
- 28:29to go lower than him. You'd have to go you can go lower than
- 28:33your own bid, but I have to go at least one hundred dollars higher
- 28:36than Augie. Oh man, you said thirty He said three thousand, flat,
- 28:45three thousand, thirty two hundred, thirty two hundred two drops his bid
- 28:51to thirty two hundred. Now it must go up, Augie, Do you
- 28:52want to bid higher than thirty two hundred or stick thirty five thirty five hundred
- 28:59thirty eight eight hundred thirty eight hundred, says Stevie. OG he sticks on
- 29:03thirty five. I won't go down to thirty six. You can't go down,
- 29:07damn it. Yeah. I let you do that only because I let
- 29:11him go down from you only did that. I only did that because that
- 29:15was the first bid. Let's take advantage of this. Nope, nope,
- 29:18no, I'm staying. Then you're staying, all right. Well, that
- 29:22was a good choice because the actual retail price was five thousand, six hundred
- 29:25and fifty dollars. Awesome. Stevie takes a second, a second item,
- 29:32and just needs one more to win the game. Let's do this guy,
- 29:34all right, Stevie will once again bid first because you won the item.
- 29:40This next item is a six pack of beer Antarctica nail Ale, produced by
- 29:47brewing company Nail brewing in Antarctica, and it's touted is the most expensive beer
- 29:52in the world. So how much for six of them? Closest without going
- 29:56over wins the listing, and it's a one one hundred dollars increment minimum.
- 30:02Seevie, where would you like to start? I believe that we should start
- 30:07around seven seven hundred, seventy seven hundred says Steebee. Augie nine hundred,
- 30:15oh, he says nine hundred Seebee twelve fifty, twelve fifty says Stevie Augi
- 30:26fourteen hundred, fourteen hundred. Stevie oh Man spens a beer six, you
- 30:33get a six pick so that much? I don't think there's something that much
- 30:37more. Let's go with two thousand flat two thousand, says Stevie Augi.
- 30:45I don't want to bet any higher. It's hard, it's challenging, It's
- 30:52very challenging. Twenty three hundred, twenty three hundred, says Augie. Kind
- 30:56of stay, Augie Sebe is sticking on two thousand hockey. I'll stick August
- 31:03sticks makes sense. You are in the lead, and as long as it's
- 31:06hired, and it is, each bottle costs eight hundred dollars. So six
- 31:10is four thousand, eight hundred dollars and Augie wins that listing. Well done.
- 31:15Damn people got some problems drinking problems expensive. This final item up forbids
- 31:22will determine it. And this final item of forbids is this beautiful poker chip
- 31:29set. The case comes wrapped in genuine alligator skin and eighteen carrot white gold
- 31:37hardware. The case is lined with suede, more gold and diamonds, and
- 31:44the three hundred and eighty four chips themselves are made exclusively out of white gold.
- 31:49This incredibly opulent listing can be yours if the cost is correct and the
- 31:55minimum increment is now fifty thousand dollars. Ball's nuts. We're gonna start with
- 32:01Augie. Wow. Three hundred and seventy five thousand, three hundred and seventy
- 32:08five thousand dollars, says Augie. I'm gonna more than double that. Seven
- 32:15hundred and sixty nine thousand, seven hundred and sixty nine thousand, says Steve.
- 32:22I am not saying a final bit, So Augie, it's on.
- 32:24You must go at least fifty grand over one million, two hundred thousand,
- 32:37one point two million, says AUGI. I can't. Oh, you're like,
- 32:50you're right where I wanted to be at the highest, you punk,
- 32:52it's probably like one point thirty I know. So I'm gonna go. You
- 32:55have a one point two yep, you must go at least one point two
- 33:00five. Let's do one point two five? All right? One point two
- 33:04five, says Stevie. Ogie one point four one point four million, says
- 33:13Augie. Stevie must go at least one point four five. Mm hmmm,
- 33:21it's gonna be like right before you know what, one four nine nine nine
- 33:24right on order the one fifty one four nine nine nine nine, all the
- 33:30way down, Yeah, all of it, all right, all the way
- 33:32down? Uh, Augie, one point six one point six million, I
- 33:42still have not pat scaring me. Ah, this thing's gonna be dumb then,
- 33:49I mean I already is pretty dumb. Let's go with he did what
- 33:52did you do? One point six one point six million, twenty fifty thousand
- 33:57incurements? Though, h one point sixty five? You fucker all right,
- 34:09Augy. One point sixty five is the new high. Okay, gotta go
- 34:14at least one point seven. How about one point eight one point eight consistently
- 34:17going up two hundred thousand every ting. It's scaring me. Uh, Stevie,
- 34:23if you think it's between one point sixty five and one point eight,
- 34:27you would stop now. I still have not called for final bids. It's
- 34:30scary because I think it's it's gonna be stupid high. Now let's go three
- 34:37point two, big jump to three point two, Sion, Bring it,
- 34:42bitch, I am still not calling for five for final bids. Okay,
- 34:46four point three four point three million, says Augie. I am still not
- 34:52calling for final bids, Stevie. There's no way five got point one five
- 34:58point one millions, Stevie, oggy, I am still I am still not
- 35:06calling for eight point zero. If you both go over, I will I
- 35:09will tell you've both gone over, so you've bid eight point zero million.
- 35:14Yeah, Stevie, I am now calling for final bits. Okay, that
- 35:19I am good. You want to stop right where you are right there?
- 35:22Okay, you obviously don't forbid yourself and stand a point oh million actual.
- 35:29The retail price for this beautiful poker chip set is seven point five million dollars.
- 35:37Stevie wins has won the game two oh sure, no plus for Stevie,
- 35:50they're all in all that. Yeah, that's seven point five million.
- 35:59That's real. Look it up, it's insane. Uh well, congratulations to
- 36:05see you're running that game. You now have two points and are leading two
- 36:07points to one. But it's gonna all come down to this last game.
- 36:12Game three is worth three big points and we're gonna play that game right after
- 36:17this. I'm Richie aka Midnight Agent Raw. I'm Devin aka Special Delivery Dev.

- 36:42Check us out at supermediabrospodcast dot com, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, or anywhere
- 36:46else that you can listen to podcasts shades on We're off. Hey guys,
- 37:06welcome back. I hope you're ready for game three. Game three is going
- 37:08to be the rules of the game. Heck yeah, Now you two know
- 37:15how to play the game, no what, And that is the whole point.
- 37:21They're about to just start playing a game. They have no idea what
- 37:23the rules of the game are. So they're just going to start playing and
- 37:28I'm going to keep track of their points. But at any time If either
- 37:30player can shout their own name as a way of buzzing in and tell me
- 37:36what the rules of the game are, they will instantly win. If neither
- 37:38player manages it before we reach the end of our twenty prompts, then the
- 37:45player with the most points who has played the game the best even not knowing
- 37:49the rules, will win instead. And if there's a tie at that point,
- 37:52we'll do a playoff asking each one to try and figure out what the
- 37:55rules of the game are, and the first player to figure it out will
- 37:59win. So let's start off. Uh Stevie won the last game. So
- 38:05Agi, you have the choice. Would you like to go first or second?
- 38:07I'll go first. You'll go first, All right, good chic your
- 38:10first prompt excuse me, Canada north is correct. One, Stevie Mexico South
- 38:28is correct and earns you a point. Okay, Augie Toronto north northeast north
- 38:44correct and earns you a point. Stevie Mexico City south correct and earns you
- 38:51a point. Augie Buffalo north h That is incorrect. South. I just
- 39:00wanted to say, Stevie amherst uh west incorrect? Correct answer was south Augie,
- 39:15Ohio west. That is incorrect. Correct answer was neither Uh, Stevie
- 39:28Charlotte South is correct and earns you a point. Augie London East Uh incorrect.
- 39:45The correct answer was South Stevie Rochester West incorrect. The correct answer was
- 39:58neither Augie Hell South is correct, makes sense? Stevie so difficult North incorrect.
- 40:17The correct answer was South mm hmmmm, Augie as Guard West incorrect.
- 40:31The correct answer was South Stevie mm hm Outworld South incorrect. The correct answer
- 40:45was North. Oh, my gosh, this is a Cadiz these nuts Uh
- 40:58neither Uh incorrect. The correct answer was South Stevie Alabama Alibama, Uh South.
- 41:14The correct answer was neither. We're onto the last four prompts already Augie,
- 41:24Iya goes, I who goes? Yeah. It's a city I believe
- 41:30in Turkmenistan, And if you'd like, I can spell it for you.
- 41:34No, I can kind of get an idea North. Sorry. The correct
- 41:42answer was South interesting Stevie, Zama. It's spelled z A m A and
- 41:52it's in Japan. If that helps, Oh, it does not, but
- 41:58I'm gonna say neither. The correct answer was North. Final two prompts was
- 42:07difficult, Alcatraz South correct and earns you a point. How don't ask?
- 42:27I don't know. I don't know, Stevie, Zambia North is correct and
- 42:43earns you a point. But why we've reached the end of our game.
- 42:46Do either of you want to make a guess? That's what the rules of
- 42:50the game are? Want one of you might have to last chance? Sure,
- 43:00Stevie, Stevie, do you think the rules of the game are?
- 43:04The rules are? The directions are in correlations with the letters in the names
- 43:08of the places. Can you be more specific? These are north because it's
- 43:14and it's turned sideways and ship like. Is that it? No? Damn
- 43:17it? I thought, no, that is not correct. Would you like
- 43:22to make a guess or would you like to let it go to the scores?
- 43:25I just let it go to the scores. Guess. In that case,
- 43:30I have to tell you that the scores are tied, So I'm gonna
- 43:31make a guess anyway. You each have four points. Wow, So now
- 43:37to break the tie, one of you must guess the rules of the game
- 43:40all day. You are up first because you did not take a guess.
- 43:47They are they They are on the that side of the region, that cardinal
- 43:58direction of their regions. Uh no, this has nothing to do with maps,
- 44:02Stevie, that's what sucks. I kind, I'll give you a hint
- 44:14after every guess that was your first one. Nothing to do with maps.
- 44:22I really don't have anything. I can't think. Uh, this is so
- 44:27hard. Uh if they were not that it has to do with maps.
- 44:34Fuck. If it's within the first few letters of the alphabet, it's north.
- 44:42If it's in the next section, it south. No, no,
- 44:44no. I will tell you that you are on the right track. That
- 44:47it has something to do with the spelling of the words. But that's not
- 44:51quite it. And we'll go back to Augie. Huh, spelling the worse.
- 44:58But that's not quite it. Is it? The direction used in songs
- 45:14about these places? I know? I mean, I mean, I would
- 45:20love to hear this song about out world? Right. Oh my gosh,
- 45:24this is so difficult. How many people have already gotten this? That's all
- 45:28I want. If you've already gotten this before we did, call in our
- 45:30emails you've never been south of Hell? Oh my goodness. Now that I'm
- 45:35aware of I'm trying to think of a hint that won't immediately give it away.
- 45:42It might not I mean for some Yeah, for us, it might
- 45:50help to take a look at the ones that were neither and see if there's
- 45:52anything unique about them. Yeah, that's the difficult part. M hmm.
- 46:02And Stevie, I'll be looking for your guest next. Oh crap, you
- 46:07just gave a guests and now it's your turn. If they don't have double
- 46:12letters, they are north and if they do their so no, fuck,
- 46:20like you were closer before. I know you're kind of flailing a little bit.
- 46:30Oh, I am gonna sircive me if i'd give that as the I
- 46:35will. You know what the hint now is that I'm only interested in specific
- 46:42letters. O. You're up? Hmm? Okay? Is it? Uh?
- 46:58The letters? Oh my god? The letters begin and end cardinal ry
- 47:07direction wise, so like os are neither because they don't end in the direction
- 47:13north or south, whereas like Amherst T. I genuinely thought you were on
- 47:21the right track there and then you veered off violently and so no, that
- 47:24is incorrect. To successfully determine the direction, you would need to place all
- 47:34the letters in the alphabet somewhere in particular. I have no idea. Please
- 47:47letters know? How is that? So? I don't understand. Oh my
- 47:57god, because even that's a norse. I'm worried that I'm even driving our
- 48:00audience mad. Probably are you guys crazy if you are right in the errand
- 48:05and let them know? Yeah, complain, because holy balls, I really
- 48:07have no idea, dude, I am not kidding, all right. Uh
- 48:14oh no, Stevie, your guests give me whatever you got, man.
- 48:21Uh if it's got it. Oh, and if it's got a vowel in
- 48:23it, how about that? No, I am I'm not looking for specific
- 48:28letters. I can't find. Your next hint is that this is about the
- 48:31first and last letters of each place. Okay, hmmm, somehow the hint
- 48:49that I thought would give it away has confused Aggie even more. All I've
- 49:01got is nothing, crazy, dude, I don't know, man, Even
- 49:14with the first and last letter, they they all right? Unless I wrote
- 49:16these all wrong, which wouldn't surprise me. Did I misspelled Canada? Somehow?
- 49:22I need your guess. Well, my guess is that the first and
- 49:34last letter when I do you want to pass? Pass? Yes, that's
- 49:46the word I'm looking for, Stevie. I will give you one last hint,
- 49:52and then I will let each of you make one final guess that's fair.
- 49:55The last the last hint is that to do this, you would need
- 50:00to place the letters A through Z on a line leading from north to south.
- 50:05A at the northmost island, Z at the southmost end. So between
- 50:08the first and last letters the direction on a compass okay and oh, based
- 50:15on the where they are in the alphabet is the quadrants are in. I
- 50:17mean, yeah, I was looking for the part about the ones that were
- 50:21neither Oh, that we're right in the center or negative? No, take
- 50:30one more look, and I'm gonna let you try and correct yourself. What
- 50:32what is? What is? What are the ones that were neither have in
- 50:36common? I don't even know. I'll give if you can correct it,
- 50:43if you can give it to you. Either neither. They both started in
- 50:47the same place, didn't they if you were to grid them out, if
- 50:52you were going north to south right, and the letter at the beginning as
- 50:57representative of the north is a north line right, So how could it be
- 51:02neither? How could it be neither? That it doesn't move, it's the
- 51:07direction that it moves, because there's twenty six of them, from C to
- 51:13A. You're going up, so you're going north where for m to Oh,
- 51:19yeah, you're going south because you're going descending order Ohio is Oh,
- 51:23so you're not going anywhere. Job, that's it. That's exactly what I
- 51:29was looking for. Yeah, it was which direction are you going? If
- 51:35this first letter is your starting position and the last letter is your ending position,
- 51:38and A is north and Z is south, which direction are you going?
- 51:43And the ones that start and end with the same letter are neither because
- 51:46you're not going anywhere. You're just there. You're just staying put. Yeah,
- 51:52that was so confusing, so fucking I apologize. I genuine no,
- 51:58I geninely thought it was eier than that, because, like I started off
- 52:01like, you know, hey, it matches the direction you'd actually be going
- 52:05right in Mexico, north and south. I'm like, But then I was
- 52:08like, let's throw in some fictional places. And then I was like,
- 52:10okay, to give it away. I'm going to make the last places start
- 52:14with A and end with Z or start with Z and end with A,
- 52:16and then you're going you're obviously going north and south from there. Looking but
- 52:20you guys were like so confused. Yeah, I'm like, it's got to
- 52:23be some vowels like honestly, there was twenty questions there, right, yeah,
- 52:29there were full full time. Yeah, No, it was a blur.
- 52:31I heard five questions and then we were guessing back into Yes, thinking
- 52:37back at it though, it makes sense, Wow, Holy like always it
- 52:42always makes sense, always make sense. Now you're trying to figure it a
- 52:45shit out? All right? Well at home, I hope you weren't as
- 52:49perplexed by this fence where. If you weren't, please feel free to let
- 52:53me know I'm an idiot and complain. I don't mind. If you got
- 52:57an idea for this type of game, send it directly to me, not
- 53:00to either of these guys because give it away. But yeah, and you
- 53:07can contact me at my new author email if you like. Fane t h
- 53:13A n E at b F Y t W pod dot com. That's my
- 53:16official author email from now on. Super excited about that, as I am,
- 53:22of course about the book. But in any event, I'm getting off
- 53:25track. I'm jumping into the ending and we haven't even finished the game.
- 53:29A wins and gets four to two. I score four to two. He
- 53:35has won the episode. Gloss over that win. Stevie got half of it,
- 53:39but he didn't get the whole thing, and I had to Aggie struggled,
- 53:45but he did keep smelling it as it was literally piecing it together.
- 53:50I was watching the numbers, and you know, it's very very good.
- 53:55He's very very good. Guys, It's been another fun game. I hope
- 53:59you enjoyed it. I hope people listening at home enjoyed it as well.
- 54:01We got a lot of stuff coming up. As we told you, we
- 54:04have Little Con, then we have episode two hundred, and then MAGFest or
- 54:07something in that order. I think I think MAGFest might actually happen around episodes.
- 54:12It's going to be close. But we're recording episode two hundred separately and
- 54:16then editing the whole thing together so we'll be ready for release dates. So
- 54:21look forward to that. We got big plans for it and it's going to
