- 0:04Speaker 1: Welcome to pick up and deliver the podcast where I
- 0:06Speaker 1: pick up my audio recorder as I step out for
- 0:08Speaker 1: a walk and deliver an episode two while I stroll around.
- 0:10Speaker 1: I'm Brendan Riley. Well, good afternoon, listener.
- 0:22Speaker 2: It's a lovely day here in suburban Chicago.
- 0:24Speaker 1: I'm taking a break from grading to take a stroll
- 0:26Speaker 1: and talk to you about some games. I am picking
- 0:30Speaker 1: up on the film review episode. I did two or
- 0:34Speaker 1: three episodes ago, and I mentioned that I had watched
- 0:37Speaker 1: a bunch of scary movies in October, since I thought
- 0:40Speaker 1: before the year runs out, I would take a minute
- 0:42Speaker 1: to talk about those scary movies.
- 0:44Speaker 2: I did.
- 0:45Speaker 1: Just want to remind you that I have reached the
- 0:48Speaker 1: end of my semester now. So while I will continue
- 0:51Speaker 1: recording episodes here and there, probably for the next month
- 0:54Speaker 1: or so, my schedule will be a little more sporadic.
- 0:57Speaker 1: I'm not gonna have my regular commute on which to
- 1:00Speaker 1: cord my episodes.
- 1:02Speaker 2: We are an episode. I believe this is episode.
- 1:05Speaker 1: Six seventy nine, so we have twenty one more after
- 1:08Speaker 1: this before the end of the season. I usually declare
- 1:11Speaker 1: the end of the season at the one hundred mark.
- 1:13Speaker 2: This episode seven hundred would be the end of the season.
- 1:16Speaker 1: In that regard, I may or may not finish it
- 1:19Speaker 1: by the end of January. End of January would be
- 1:21Speaker 1: the target goal. That's usually when I try to have
- 1:24Speaker 1: the season end. I don't have my January term course
- 1:27Speaker 1: this year, so I could have a bit more time
- 1:30Speaker 1: to do episodes. But that also means I have to
- 1:32Speaker 1: kind of work it into my schedule and go for
- 1:34Speaker 1: a walk in the coldest time of the year. So
- 1:36Speaker 1: we'll see whether or not we meet that goal. Last year,
- 1:41Speaker 1: I didn't finish the season until like the end of March.
- 1:43Speaker 1: I think, so if I finish at the end of January,
- 1:46Speaker 1: that's pretty good.
- 1:47Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:47Speaker 1: Well, let's talk some horror movies as I do. As
- 1:51Speaker 1: I have done for the last couple of years, I
- 1:52Speaker 1: participated in the Slashing through Cinema board Game Geek Horror
- 1:56Speaker 1: Movie Challenge. There's a user on board Game week who
- 2:00Speaker 1: makes an interesting geek list in which people post horror
- 2:04Speaker 1: movies that they're watching in October. Some people try to
- 2:08Speaker 1: watch one horror movie a day, or thirty horror movies
- 2:10Speaker 1: in October. I generally don't have time to actually watch
- 2:13Speaker 1: thirty in October. So I give myself forty five days
- 2:16Speaker 1: to do it and have fun doing the challenge. That way,
- 2:19Speaker 1: I did not make it.
- 2:20Speaker 2: This year.
- 2:20Speaker 1: I got twenty six what I would consider twenty six
- 2:22Speaker 1: horror movies watched, although four of the quote unquote movies
- 2:26Speaker 1: were actually episodes of the Terror that I watched in pairs,
- 2:31Speaker 1: and those counted as movies according to the rules of.
- 2:36Speaker 2: The Slashing Through Cinema forum.
- 2:38Speaker 1: But I'm not sure whether I should count them or not,
- 2:41Speaker 1: and I'm not including them on this list.
- 2:43Speaker 2: So that said, that means I have seen.
- 2:45Speaker 1: I watched twenty four horror movies in late September and
- 2:49Speaker 1: early October, and so I'm going to talk about those
- 2:51Speaker 1: with you today. My plan is to talk about them
- 2:53Speaker 1: in two episodes, back to back.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Here this is episode one, so we'll talk.
- 2:57Speaker 1: About the first twelve movies that I watched as part
- 2:59Speaker 1: of the Slashing Cinema program, and then I'll talk about
- 3:02Speaker 1: the next twelve in the next episode. So, if you're
- 3:05Speaker 1: not a horror movie of ficionado, perhaps this episode and
- 3:08Speaker 1: the next one will not be your favorite thing, but
- 3:11Speaker 1: hopefully they'll be enjoyable anyway, if for no other reason
- 3:13Speaker 1: than that you enjoy my company, and I enjoy yours
- 3:16Speaker 1: as my silent conversation partner who never interrupts me. Okay,
- 3:21Speaker 1: so I'm going to talk about these movies in the.
- 3:24Speaker 2: Order I watched them.
- 3:25Speaker 1: I'll give you a little bit of insight into what
- 3:27Speaker 1: the movies are about without spoiling anything. Talk about whether
- 3:30Speaker 1: I enjoyed them or not. And if I have a
- 3:32Speaker 1: game to recommend to go with them, I will. But
- 3:34Speaker 1: I'm not gonna try to do that for every movie,
- 3:36Speaker 1: just because I want to make sure I get through
- 3:38Speaker 1: all twelve of them. So start with from twenty twenty three.
- 3:41Speaker 1: I watched Nandor Fodor and the Talking Mongoose. This is
- 3:44Speaker 1: a sort of ghost story or a supernatural story loosely
- 3:48Speaker 1: based on a real event in which a town purported
- 3:51Speaker 1: to have a talking mongoose and a supernatural investigator went
- 3:55Speaker 1: to the town to try to find it. This is
- 3:56Speaker 1: a sort of goofy provincial comedy starring Simon pay and
- 4:01Speaker 1: is based, like I said, on a real thing. There's
- 4:03Speaker 1: an episode of Remembering History or History's Histories, Mysteries or whatever,
- 4:09Speaker 1: the Paula Deeming podcast about history. If you want to
- 4:14Speaker 1: listen to the thing about the Talking Mongoose.
- 4:17Speaker 2: It's pretty silly.
- 4:18Speaker 1: This was barely a horror movie, and if I watched
- 4:20Speaker 1: it another time of year, I might not have called
- 4:22Speaker 1: it a horror movie.
- 4:23Speaker 2: But because I was watching it it's about.
- 4:24Speaker 1: Supernatural and I'm watching it in the horror season, I'm
- 4:28Speaker 1: calling it that one. I honestly can't think of a
- 4:30Speaker 1: game that would go with this, but it's a pretty
- 4:32Speaker 1: silly movie. It's worth checking out if you want this
- 4:35Speaker 1: guy investigating a talking mongoose.
- 4:37Speaker 2: Next up was Long Legs from twenty twenty four.
- 4:39Speaker 1: This is a serial killer movie starring Nicholas Cage. It
- 4:45Speaker 1: has some really creepy stuff in it. Nicholas Cage plays
- 4:49Speaker 1: a serial killer the movie. I don't know what to
- 4:54Speaker 1: make of this movie. The depiction of Nicholas Cage is
- 4:58Speaker 1: gender ambiguous, but the movie doesn't ever comment on that,
- 5:02Speaker 1: and so I'm unclear what the nature of that is
- 5:05Speaker 1: in the nature of the film, Like, are we supposed
- 5:08Speaker 1: to notice that? Are we supposed to think about it?
- 5:10Speaker 1: I mean, it's a deliberate choice. I'm also unclear if
- 5:14Speaker 1: Nicholas Cage is supposed to be a male character dressing
- 5:18Speaker 1: as a woman, so a transwoman or if he's playing
- 5:22Speaker 1: a woman like this character is supposed to be a
- 5:25Speaker 1: sis woman. I don't know, and I read a little bit,
- 5:28Speaker 1: but I haven't seen that much about to start of
- 5:30Speaker 1: people talking about that movie in the context of the
- 5:33Speaker 1: conversation about trans people in our culture. But on top
- 5:36Speaker 1: of that, it's a serial killer movie that's pretty good,
- 5:39Speaker 1: interestingly creepy and weirdly supernatural. Worth watching if you like
- 5:43Speaker 1: a serial killer movie, sort of in the vein of
- 5:46Speaker 1: something like Silence of the Lambs. Again, not a thing
- 5:49Speaker 1: that there's a lot of board games that go with.
- 5:51Speaker 1: So that was from twenty twenty four. Next up we
- 5:54Speaker 1: had The Dead Zone. The Dead Zone is a movie
- 5:56Speaker 1: I've never really seen before.
- 5:58Speaker 2: This.
- 5:59Speaker 1: This was from nineteen eighty three, starring Christopher Walkin, based
- 6:02Speaker 1: on the Stephen King story about a man who gets
- 6:05Speaker 1: in an accident and when he wakes up his brain
- 6:08Speaker 1: a part of his brain has opened up and he
- 6:10Speaker 1: can sort of see the future, and he finds himself
- 6:13Speaker 1: wrestling with how to deal with the potential futures that
- 6:16Speaker 1: he sees. It's an interesting movie, well acted, well told.
- 6:21Speaker 1: It's one of the better Stephen King movies I've seen. Honestly,
- 6:24Speaker 1: I like Christopher Walkin's style. It's got Martin Sheen playing
- 6:28Speaker 1: kind of the polar opposite of Jed Bartlett, but still
- 6:32Speaker 1: a smarmy politician character that works really well, and a
- 6:36Speaker 1: couple other character actors you'd recognize mostly. I remember seeing
- 6:40Speaker 1: a episode of Saturday Night Live where Christopher Walkin is
- 6:44Speaker 1: on and he's playing a character who can see the future,
- 6:47Speaker 1: but he can only see lame things like you're gonna
- 6:49Speaker 1: spill some barbecue sauce on your sleeve. It's not too
- 6:52Speaker 1: late to order something without barbecue sauce, that kind of thing.
- 6:56Speaker 2: It's pretty funny. If you wanted a movie that would connect.
- 7:00Speaker 1: A game that would connect to this, I think Mysterium
- 7:02Speaker 1: would be your answer. It's a game about psychics telling
- 7:05Speaker 1: the future and the trying to interpret confusing messages, so
- 7:11Speaker 1: I think that would work pretty well. Mysterium would be
- 7:14Speaker 1: a good pairing for watching The Dead Zone if you wanted.
- 7:16Speaker 2: To next step to this two thousand and six is
- 7:18Speaker 2: the Host.
- 7:19Speaker 1: This is an interesting movie because I kept seeing it
- 7:21Speaker 1: on lists of like best Movies of the two thousands,
- 7:24Speaker 1: Best Horror Movie of twenty two thousand and six, and
- 7:27Speaker 1: I liked it fine, but.
- 7:28Speaker 2: I didn't think it was all that good. Like I
- 7:30Speaker 2: thought it was fine.
- 7:32Speaker 1: It's a creature feature, the big monster running around, pleasantly
- 7:36Speaker 1: scary and somewhat funny horror movie with great gross effects.
- 7:42Speaker 1: There's a part in it that makes me think this
- 7:45Speaker 1: is a movie that Jordan Peele is a fan of,
- 7:47Speaker 1: because the monster at one point regurgitates a bunch of
- 7:51Speaker 1: like skulls and stuff, and it reminded me a lot
- 7:54Speaker 1: of the part of a part in Nope, where.
- 7:57Speaker 2: The alien does the same.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I'll give it anything away with Nope, but you've had
- 8:03Speaker 1: time to watch it. It was pretty gross, but well
- 8:05Speaker 1: acted and good effects. For two thousand and six, I
- 8:08Speaker 1: think The Host is definitely worth watching if it's a
- 8:11Speaker 1: movie you're interested in. It's a creature feature with lots
- 8:14Speaker 1: of good gore and interesting characters.
- 8:19Speaker 2: Maybe Beast would be.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Your movie to want or your game to play with
- 8:22Speaker 1: that one Beast. Next up, we have New Nightmare. I've
- 8:24Speaker 1: never really been that big a fan of Freddy Krueger,
- 8:27Speaker 1: but this one is interesting. The whole Nightmare and Nightmare
- 8:30Speaker 1: on Elm Street series is supposed to be done, but
- 8:34Speaker 1: they imagine this idea that Freddy is the representation of
- 8:39Speaker 1: a kind of demonic evil that has always existed, and
- 8:41Speaker 1: whenever people think about him or believe in him, he
- 8:44Speaker 1: gains power.
- 8:45Speaker 2: And so West Craven writing a new.
- 8:48Speaker 1: Movie about Freddy then brings Freddy back and gives him power,
- 8:53Speaker 1: and the movie is of course about West Craven writing
- 8:56Speaker 1: a movie about Freddie. It's pretty good, better than say
- 9:01Speaker 1: Nightmare and elm Street. I'm most of the ones I've seen.
- 9:03Speaker 1: I thought the first one was fine, but this has
- 9:05Speaker 1: never really been a character I was all that enthusiastic about.
- 9:09Speaker 2: But the way that he appears in New Nightmare is
- 9:11Speaker 2: pretty good.
- 9:13Speaker 1: I like Robert England in it, and the girl who
- 9:16Speaker 1: played Nancy in the first movie is back, and I
- 9:18Speaker 1: think that works pretty well. It's well worth watching if
- 9:21Speaker 1: you get a chance. That's New Nightmare from nineteen ninety four.
- 9:24Speaker 1: Ex said, we have Ghostbusters Frozen Empire from twenty twenty four.
- 9:30Speaker 1: This one it's like another Ghostbuster's adventure story. I liked
- 9:35Speaker 1: it about the same as the one where they find
- 9:38Speaker 1: the Ghostbuster's car in the cave or where they find
- 9:41Speaker 1: the Ghostbuster stuff in the cave. The last of the
- 9:44Speaker 1: new Ghostbusters movies. It's pretty entertaining, ultimately kind of forgettable,
- 9:48Speaker 1: though good special effects, fun characters. I like the children characters,
- 9:54Speaker 1: particularly the girl, although there's some dumb stuff that I
- 9:57Speaker 1: feel like she was too smart to fall, and she
- 10:00Speaker 1: fell for The ghostly monster is reasonably amusing as a
- 10:04Speaker 1: ghostly monster. So the Big Bad is pretty entertaining, and
- 10:09Speaker 1: I really liked the twist that Winston is by far
- 10:13Speaker 1: the most.
- 10:14Speaker 2: Successful of the Ghostbusters.
- 10:15Speaker 1: He owns a very successful company and is doing science
- 10:20Speaker 1: on ghosts, so that's a nice twist and it's.
- 10:23Speaker 2: Fun to have him back.
- 10:24Speaker 1: That's Ghostbuster's Frozen Empire. I guess you could play the
- 10:27Speaker 1: Ghostbusters game that Cryptozoak released. That would be the match
- 10:30Speaker 1: for that, obviously. The next one is The Curse of
- 10:33Speaker 1: the Cat People. This movie is from nineteen forty four.
- 10:37Speaker 1: My understanding is that the director of Val Tournier wanted
- 10:41Speaker 1: to make or Val Luton excuse me, wanted to make
- 10:43Speaker 1: a real melodramatic movie about parenting, and the studio wanted
- 10:49Speaker 1: to make another horror movie, so he called it Curse
- 10:52Speaker 1: of the Cat People, even though there's really no curses
- 10:54Speaker 1: or cat people in it. It's a melodramatic family movie.
- 10:57Speaker 1: It's pretty good, but not really a horror movie. I
- 11:00Speaker 1: enjoyed it, and I don't know what game you'd play
- 11:02Speaker 1: with it, but I only enjoyed it because I like
- 11:05Speaker 1: Valutin's cinema style. I really like I Walked with a
- 11:08Speaker 1: Zombie and it's fun to have Sir Lancelot in it again,
- 11:10Speaker 1: which he plays the butler of the house in that one,
- 11:14Speaker 1: so via a chance to wa wash cruse of the
- 11:16Speaker 1: cat people. There are worse ways to spend ninety minutes,
- 11:19Speaker 1: but it's not a horror movie. Next up, we've got
- 11:21Speaker 1: Godzilla Minus one. Now I am not a huge Godzilla guy.
- 11:26Speaker 2: This is from twenty twenty three. I like a Godzilla
- 11:29Speaker 2: movie just fine.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I have particularly liked the recent Godzilla movies, the one
- 11:34Speaker 1: with Brian Cranston that was just called Godzilla. I liked
- 11:37Speaker 1: Godzilla King of the Monsters. I like the recent storytelling style,
- 11:41Speaker 1: which focuses more on the people, which is I think
- 11:43Speaker 1: how the original Godzilla movies worked, and I think Godzilla
- 11:46Speaker 1: Minus one is a nice repetition of that idea. In it,
- 11:51Speaker 1: characters wrestle with the ramifications of World War Two and
- 11:55Speaker 1: their own experiences in that war and Godzilla makes an
- 12:00Speaker 1: appearance or two. It's pretty great. I can see why
- 12:04Speaker 1: it won awards. The special effects are really really good.
- 12:07Speaker 1: I like it a lot. I don't know if it's
- 12:09Speaker 1: my favorite Godzilla movie, but I certainly did like it
- 12:12Speaker 1: a lot. I can see why people really like this
- 12:14Speaker 1: character in this kind of storytelling. It's probably not something
- 12:18Speaker 1: that I would seek out a lot, but as they
- 12:19Speaker 1: make new ones, I'll keep watching them. I really like
- 12:21Speaker 1: the special effects in it. If you're going to play
- 12:24Speaker 1: a Godzilla game, the two that I could recommend. One
- 12:27Speaker 1: of them obviously would be god Godzilla Tokyo Clash, which
- 12:31Speaker 1: is almost just King of which is almost just the
- 12:33Speaker 1: King of Tokyo. You could also get King of Tokyo,
- 12:36Speaker 1: I guess, And then if you want something a little sillier,
- 12:39Speaker 1: you can always play Terror in Evil City or I
- 12:42Speaker 1: have the addition that's called Rampage. Before they got sued
- 12:45Speaker 1: by the company that owns Rampage.
- 12:48Speaker 2: This is a.
- 12:48Speaker 1: Classic arcade or this is a classic arcade rendering of
- 12:52Speaker 1: the Godzilla type figure, a giant monster causing havoc in
- 12:56Speaker 1: the city, and it's pretty entertaining. So that's Godzilla minus
- 12:59Speaker 1: one next Cup, but we have Talked to Me from
- 13:01Speaker 1: twenty twenty two. Talk to Me as a reasonably fun
- 13:05Speaker 1: horror movie in the new style, where it develops a
- 13:10Speaker 1: mythology quickly and then something scary happens, and then we
- 13:13Speaker 1: have to follow the characters while something scary happens.
- 13:16Speaker 2: It appears to be part.
- 13:18Speaker 1: Of a genre that I didn't realize was a genre
- 13:20Speaker 1: until I watched this movie. And this would be the
- 13:23Speaker 1: I've seen something terrifying it it's coming to get me
- 13:25Speaker 1: and there's nothing I can do about it.
- 13:27Speaker 2: Genre.
- 13:27Speaker 1: Obviously it follows is another of these movies. The ring
- 13:30Speaker 1: might be the progenitor of it. I don't know that
- 13:33Speaker 1: I can think of a clear example of that earlier
- 13:35Speaker 1: on maybe Denzel Washington's The Fallen Movie kind of, but
- 13:41Speaker 1: that one, it isn't inevitable the same way it is
- 13:44Speaker 1: in some of these other ones. In Talk to Me,
- 13:46Speaker 1: there is a sort of creepy hand and if you say,
- 13:50Speaker 1: you know, I let you in or whatever, then a
- 13:52Speaker 1: ghost comes in and connects with your brain and it's
- 13:57Speaker 1: very hard to get it out if people don't get
- 13:59Speaker 1: the hand off you quick enough.
- 14:01Speaker 2: So it's reasonably creepy it's very well made. It's pretty entertaining.
- 14:06Speaker 1: If you like a reasonably creepy horror movie, talk to me,
- 14:10Speaker 1: you could do much worse.
- 14:12Speaker 2: Again, I don't really know what you would point to.
- 14:15Speaker 1: I guess sort of mysterium in that you're trying to
- 14:18Speaker 1: talk to ghosts and figure out what they're doing.
- 14:19Speaker 2: But it is different, all right.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Three Left Gone Jam or Gone a Jam Gonjam Haunted Asylum.
- 14:25Speaker 1: This is from twenty eighteen. This is a found footage movie,
- 14:28Speaker 1: and I think reasonably argued a very very good found
- 14:31Speaker 1: footage movie. It's about a bunch of live streamers who
- 14:35Speaker 1: go into an old haunted asylum that's supposed to be
- 14:38Speaker 1: the most haunted place in Korea, and it turns out
- 14:41Speaker 1: it is, and they get menaced and all sorts of
- 14:43Speaker 1: bad stuff happens. It's exactly what you'd expect it to be,
- 14:46Speaker 1: but very entertaining. There's a couple of really good scenes.
- 14:49Speaker 1: There's some great humor, some great scares. Well worth checking out.
- 14:54Speaker 1: Gone a Jam, Haunted Asylum. Let's betrayal on House in
- 14:57Speaker 1: the Hill is the obvious connector to this one, because
- 15:00Speaker 1: it's so clearly tied to those two betrayal at House
- 15:04Speaker 1: on the Hill is the obvious one to watch while
- 15:07Speaker 1: or to play with gon jam, because it's about going
- 15:09Speaker 1: into a haunted place and trying to get out and
- 15:11Speaker 1: discovering that it's worse than you realize it would be.
- 15:13Speaker 1: So there should be a new version of Betrayal that
- 15:16Speaker 1: has like live streamers and stuff, but that's not a
- 15:19Speaker 1: thing as far as I know. Next upt we have
- 15:22Speaker 1: the Werner Herzeg nineteen seventy nine nos Feratu the Vampire.
- 15:27Speaker 1: This is a very slow, kind of meditative horror movie,
- 15:31Speaker 1: remaking the original nos Ferratu movie.
- 15:35Speaker 2: It's good, it's just really slow. Honestly, I found it
- 15:38Speaker 2: pretty boring.
- 15:39Speaker 1: The sequences that work are really good, but there's an
- 15:42Speaker 1: awful lot of sequences where the camera is just sort
- 15:45Speaker 1: of like meditating on things. It's an art film, and
- 15:47Speaker 1: it has the pacing of a nineteen seventies art film
- 15:50Speaker 1: or an early nineteen eighties art film, which isn't inherently bad,
- 15:54Speaker 1: but doesn't really fit the I don't know the style
- 15:56Speaker 1: that I like or the feeling that I like.
- 15:59Speaker 2: It's too slow, and I think.
- 16:02Speaker 1: That it would be better, Like I'd be really interested
- 16:05Speaker 1: to see someone make a contemporary cut of that movie
- 16:07Speaker 1: and just kind of a lot of the slow, meditative stuff.
- 16:10Speaker 2: I think it would be really good as a one
- 16:12Speaker 2: hour thing.
- 16:13Speaker 1: I'm looking forward to the new Robert edgars Eggers's No Spratu,
- 16:18Speaker 1: and I'm glad to have watched this one in prep.
- 16:20Speaker 1: But ultimately I didn't like this one as much as
- 16:24Speaker 1: I hoped it would. I think Fury of Dracula is
- 16:26Speaker 1: obviously the game that you should play if you're going
- 16:28Speaker 1: to be watching Nose Ferratu, because it is the same
- 16:32Speaker 1: story Nostratus, much more creepy. He reminds me a little
- 16:35Speaker 1: bit of the This is very specifically the the group
- 16:40Speaker 1: from Vampire the Masquerade who look awful, look like the
- 16:45Speaker 1: nos Faratu vampires deformed and they hide in the shadows
- 16:48Speaker 1: and stuff. I can't remember what they're called right now.
- 16:50Speaker 1: They're really great, but they're super creepy looking more future
- 16:57Speaker 1: Brendan here. It's funny that I couldn't remember the name
- 17:00Speaker 1: of the creepy gross vampires from Vampire the Mask grade
- 17:03Speaker 1: because their clan name is no Sfaratu, So I guess
- 17:10Speaker 1: Vampire the Eternal Struggle could be another game that you
- 17:13Speaker 1: could play in concert with No Spatu the.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Vampire, and finally I watched Vampire Hunter D. This was
- 17:19Speaker 2: selected for me on the.
- 17:21Speaker 1: Roulette wheel that they make as part of this challenge.
- 17:24Speaker 1: I thought it was entertaining. I did not like I
- 17:28Speaker 1: liked the weird supernatural monsters everywhere. That was a fun development,
- 17:33Speaker 1: lots of cool, weird looking creatures and fun fights. I
- 17:37Speaker 1: did not like that the main character appeared to be
- 17:39Speaker 1: like fourteen. She was sexualized through the whole show, and
- 17:43Speaker 1: I think we were supposed to not mine. That bothered
- 17:46Speaker 1: me a lot, and like I wouldn't watch any more
- 17:48Speaker 1: of it just because of that.
- 17:51Speaker 2: All in all, it was fine.
- 17:53Speaker 1: I'm not an anime guy generally, and this did not
- 17:56Speaker 1: like make me think, oh I need to watch more anime.
- 17:59Speaker 2: I get why people like it.
- 18:01Speaker 1: There are some pretty cool stuff in it, but ultimately
- 18:03Speaker 1: it wasn't for me. Well, that brings me to the
- 18:07Speaker 1: end of the first half of the horror Movie episode.
- 18:11Speaker 2: I hope you'll come back tomorrow or the next day
- 18:13Speaker 2: and join me for the second half.
- 18:15Speaker 3: Until next time, Thanks for taking a walk with me.
- 18:17Speaker 2: I hope your next walk is as pleasant as line was.
- 18:20Speaker 3: Good Bye.
