• 0:19
Speaker 2: the city Charleston. This is the Dave Allen Show on

Speaker 2: five eighty Live, and your host.

Speaker 3: What we've got here is fail this newcase.
• 0:32
Speaker 2: He's kind of a big deal.
• 0:34
Speaker 4: I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick
• 0:37
Speaker 4: out and am all out of love Dave Allen.
• 0:44
Speaker 3: Phillie Snyder faces a lot of things in people's lives,
• 0:46
Speaker 3: and she's joined U right now. How you doing? Thank you, Dave.
• 0:49
Speaker 5: Good morning. And yes, I do face a lot of things,
• 0:52
Speaker 5: and not just because I'm a human in the world,
• 0:56
Speaker 5: but specifically on what I face is the sadness that
• 1:02
Speaker 5: so many people are exposed to because people want to
• 1:08
Speaker 5: be cruel to people with a weight problem. And as
• 1:11
Speaker 5: we talked earlier there, it's not just people who are overweight,
• 1:16
Speaker 5: it's people who are also very skinny. It seems as
• 1:21
Speaker 5: though the world has to judge everyone. And one of
• 1:26
Speaker 5: the reasons I'm bringing this up. I've often thought to myself,
• 1:29
Speaker 5: what was it about weight watchers that made it work
• 1:32
Speaker 5: for me back in nineteen sixty six? And that was
• 1:36
Speaker 5: a different century, by the way, in case anyone's keeping note,
• 1:40
Speaker 5: For the first time in my life, I was talked
• 1:43
Speaker 5: to with kindness. I was talked to in a supportive tone,
• 1:47
Speaker 5: and that never happened. I grew up in a world
• 1:51
Speaker 5: where I was verbally brutalized because I was fat, and
• 1:57
Speaker 5: don't you care about yourself? I remember that one day
• 2:01
Speaker 5: that I was in a shop in Baltimore. I needed
• 2:05
Speaker 5: desperately to buy a pair of black slacks, and I
• 2:09
Speaker 5: tried on every pair that was available in that particular department,
• 2:14
Speaker 5: and they wouldn't go past my hips. It was not
• 2:18
Speaker 5: going up to my waist where the zipper would close.
• 2:22
Speaker 5: And the saleslady came over to me and she could
• 2:24
Speaker 5: see my distressed look, and she said to me, you
• 2:28
Speaker 5: have such a pretty face. When did you let yourself go?
• 2:34
Speaker 5: And I didn't have the answer then, But if that
• 2:38
Speaker 5: question was asked today, the answer is I let myself
• 2:42
Speaker 5: go last Tuesday at about two o'clock in the afternoon,
• 2:45
Speaker 5: and all of this happened.
• 2:47
Speaker 3: It's just like that, Just like that. It was that
• 2:49
Speaker 3: one piece of pie that did it exactly.
• 2:51
Speaker 5: That was it. And so the thing about weight Watchers
• 2:56
Speaker 5: was people spoke to me like I actually matter, and
• 3:01
Speaker 5: weight Watchers is a part of my history and I
• 3:05
Speaker 5: still do the things that I learned at weight Watchers
• 3:09
Speaker 5: in Mediterranean mindset, and that is group support, and we
• 3:14
Speaker 5: practice kindness and we practice understanding, and we have a
• 3:19
Speaker 5: great program that works. There's no two ways about eating
• 3:24
Speaker 5: the Mediterranean lifestyle. It is the healthiest, the most delicious
• 3:29
Speaker 5: thing you can do. But group support and kindness matter,
• 3:35
Speaker 5: and that is for me, one of the most important
• 3:39
Speaker 5: things that people don't have and need desperately. Being fat
• 3:45
Speaker 5: is not a choice. Nobody woke up on Tuesday morning
• 3:49
Speaker 5: and said, yes, I'm going to be obese. That's not
• 3:53
Speaker 5: the way it happens. And soon my podcast will be
• 3:56
Speaker 5: available and I'm telling my story and for me goes
• 4:01
Speaker 5: back to my beginning, not necessarily in nineteen forty two
• 4:06
Speaker 5: when I was born, but by the time I got
• 4:10
Speaker 5: to seven years of age, I was on the pathway
• 4:15
Speaker 5: to be a fat child. And it happened. I became fat.
• 4:20
Speaker 3: And you know, I think there is a difference. I'm
• 4:22
Speaker 3: going to say this as nicely as I can. We
• 4:29
Speaker 3: know that obesity in kids especially is a problem today,
• 4:33
Speaker 3: a lot more so than what it was when you
• 4:36
Speaker 3: were growing up. Yes, because I can go back. I mean,
• 4:38
Speaker 3: there weren't a and I'm being as nice as I can,
• 4:41
Speaker 3: the kids that were a little heavier in elementary school,
• 4:47
Speaker 3: for example, there wasn't that many of them. There were
• 4:50
Speaker 3: a few always, and but now, I mean, it's the
• 4:58
Speaker 3: number of kids that are diagnosed as diabetic at seven
• 5:02
Speaker 3: and eight years old. And I'm talking about like that.
• 5:05
Speaker 3: You know, there are certain types of diabetes always been
• 5:07
Speaker 3: arounding kids. I get that it has nothing necessarily to
• 5:09
Speaker 3: do with food, but I mean just the number of
• 5:11
Speaker 3: kids that are larger now that I mean. And I
• 5:16
Speaker 3: know people say, let kids be kids and whatever, but
• 5:19
Speaker 3: you're really not doing them any favors.
• 5:21
Speaker 5: The kids, and they are following the eating habits of
• 5:24
Speaker 5: their mother, their father said, either or the caregiver or
• 5:28
Speaker 5: the babysitter, and fast food. Today, if a four year
• 5:33
Speaker 5: old can press a certain number on the iPhone, they're
• 5:38
Speaker 5: gonna have door Dash come to the house. I mean,
• 5:41
Speaker 5: that's perhaps an extreme, but you know what I'm saying,
• 5:45
Speaker 5: and it's very, very sad. And one of the things
• 5:48
Speaker 5: that I share on my podcast is by the age
• 5:52
Speaker 5: of six, if your weight is out of control, you're
• 5:56
Speaker 5: going to be an obese.
• 6:00
Speaker 3: You go and ballet your whole life. Pretty much.
• 6:02
Speaker 5: That's exactly right, and people need to learn how to
• 6:07
Speaker 5: eat healthy. But I have to say that need is
• 6:13
Speaker 5: a foregone conclusion. They have to want to and that's
• 6:17
Speaker 5: the piece that's the most important. You know, there are
• 6:20
Speaker 5: thousands upon thousands of people who are taking the injectable
• 6:25
Speaker 5: weight loss thing called GLP, and we're seeing problems beginning
• 6:31
Speaker 5: to serve. But the sad and biggest part of that
• 6:36
Speaker 5: is there is no education about how to be when
• 6:41
Speaker 5: you stop taking that.
• 6:42
Speaker 3: And eventually that day will come, you know you you
• 6:45
Speaker 3: will take it sooner than later. All right, we got
• 6:47
Speaker 3: a call for you. You ready? I am all right,
• 6:49
Speaker 3: Let's go to Jim. You're on with Millie Snyder. Go ahead, Hello,
• 6:54
Speaker 3: Hello Jim. Okay, we don't have Jim. Now we do
• 6:58
  Speaker 3: have Jim.
• 7:01
  Speaker 6: Jim.
• 7:02
  Speaker 3: Are you there?
• 7:03
Speaker 7: Yes, I am, good morning.
• 7:05
Speaker 3: Right, you're on with Millie Snyder. Go ahead.
• 7:07
Speaker 8: Really, it's been a long time since I've got to
• 7:10
Speaker 8: talk to you have you been.
• 7:12
Speaker 5: I'm doing well, Jim. I hope you are too. It
• 7:14
Speaker 5: has been a long time.
• 7:16
  Speaker 9: Well.
• 7:18
Speaker 7: I'm in a nursing home now and I'm trying to
• 7:22
Speaker 7: work with them to keep my dad on the street
• 7:25
  Speaker 7: and narrow.
• 7:26
  Speaker 10: That's good.
• 7:27
Speaker 7: I was wondering. I'm trying to have a scheft salad
• 7:30
Speaker 7: every day. I used ranktressing. Is that yes or no?
• 7:35
  Speaker 9: No?
• 7:36
Speaker 7: And my got better condition has improved a little bit.
• 7:41
Speaker 7: But i'd like to do that.
• 7:43
Speaker 5: Well, you know, we would love you to do like
• 7:45
Speaker 5: olive oil and some lemon juice or lime juice, some
• 7:50
Speaker 5: apple cider vinegar. But most of the salad dressings that
• 7:54
Speaker 5: are commercially made are not the best. And olive oil
• 7:59
Speaker 5: is just so good with your body. And perhaps you
• 8:02
Speaker 5: could talk to someone at the nursing home if they
• 8:06
Speaker 5: would work on what they're dressing your salad with.
• 8:12
Speaker 8: Okay, if I may, I'd like to us my number
• 8:18
Speaker 8: and you zeers be a call sometime off the air,
• 8:21
Speaker 8: and maybe you could help me talk to them.
• 8:24
Speaker 7: May I give it to you?
• 8:26
Speaker 5: Yes, we're writing it down as we speak. Ahead.
• 8:30
Speaker 7: It's six eight one, okay three five A zero file
• 8:36
  Speaker 7: six eight.
• 8:38
Speaker 3: You will hear from me for sure, right, gimlet me
• 8:40
Speaker 3: make sure I got that six eight one three five
• 8:42
Speaker 3: eight zero five six.
• 8:43
Speaker 7: Eight yes, sure, and you can call the two day.
• 8:48
Speaker 3: Okay, I'll only if you share your salad with olive
• 8:52
Speaker 3: oil with me? Will you do that? Because I love it?
• 8:55
Speaker 7: Well, I will start. I will work on that, but
• 8:57
Speaker 7: I'll probably need some backing. Kids. I don't seem to
• 9:02
Speaker 7: have any guid plans that they try to be the
• 9:06
  Speaker 7: health people.
• 9:08
Speaker 5: Well I'm not shocked to hear that, and it's a
• 9:11
Speaker 5: sad reality. So yeah, we need to help them step up.
• 9:14
Speaker 3: All right, Jim, We appreciate the phone call. Thanks a lot.
• 9:17
Speaker 3: All right, Mellie, let's tell people about the classes where
• 9:19
  Speaker 3: in the Winds.
• 9:20
Speaker 5: We meet at the American Job Center on Leon Sullivan Way,
• 9:24
Speaker 5: and it's that building that has these columns out front.
• 9:26
Speaker 5: There's really good parking. We meet Thursday morning at nine
• 9:30
Speaker 5: thirty and Thursday late afternoon at five thirty. Mediterranean mindset
• 9:36
Speaker 5: and it is perhaps the best thing you can do.
• 9:38
Speaker 5: You will never eat better than following the Mediterranean way
• 9:42
  Speaker 5: of eating.
• 9:42
Speaker 3: And you get group support, group.
• 9:44
Speaker 5: Support, and actually we also hug. We also we talk
• 9:51
Speaker 5: to each other kindly and supportively, and that's what's missing
• 9:56
Speaker 5: in that world. All right, it needs it worked for me,
• 10:00
Speaker 5: Millie Snyder. She joins us once a month to update
• 10:03
Speaker 5: us on Mediterranean living. I appreciate you being there. Now,
• 10:05
Speaker 5: what's this about the podcast? I know you've been working
• 10:07
Speaker 5: with Colonel Ron. I guess on a podcast or something.
• 10:09
Speaker 5: Not Colonel Ron. I'm actually I stepped out of that
• 10:14
Speaker 5: and I've been no where. I've been doing my podcast
• 10:17
Speaker 5: and I would think in the next two to three
• 10:20
Speaker 5: weeks they're going to be available on some of the
• 10:23
Speaker 5: major stations like Apple Spotify. But when that is all
• 10:28
Speaker 5: listed and official, I'll come visit you and I'll give

  Speaker 5: you that.

• 10:39
Speaker 3: Okay, all right, Well I won't be quite one hundred
• 10:41
Speaker 3: and eight. I'll be a little bit younger than well,
• 10:42
Speaker 3: you're just what two years younger? Yeah, a couple couple
• 10:45
Speaker 3: something like that. We're getting older quickly. All right. I

  Speaker 3: that's what I do. I mean, if you're calling me
• 15:04
Speaker 3: on Facebook, you know, it's not necessarily the case. But
• 15:08
Speaker 3: it's not bad. It's not bad. I mean it's got flavor.
• 15:10
Speaker 3: Unlike you're not chewing on cardboard all day. You know,
• 15:13
Speaker 3: it's all carbs. It's not that type of diety or
• 15:16
Speaker 3: fast savory. Yeah, savory. It's got a lot of fun.
• 15:19
Speaker 9: To check it out. I mean, I've seen some advertisements
• 15:21
Speaker 9: for it here and there on social media, but I
• 15:22
Speaker 9: really haven't explored it enough to know I need to
• 15:25
  Speaker 9: do that.
• 15:26
Speaker 3: All right, So give us a bio in Lisa Odie
• 15:29
Speaker 3: tell us. I mean, people probably know you pretty well,
• 15:32
Speaker 3: but let's just say that they don't. This is your
• 15:34
Speaker 3: elevator speech. Who are you? Who is Lisa Odie? Who
• 15:38
  Speaker 3: is this lady?
• 15:39
Speaker 6: Who is this lady?
• 15:40
  Speaker 1: My goodness?
• 15:40
  Speaker 5: All right?
• 15:41
Speaker 9: So of course my name is Lisa Odie. I grew
• 15:44
Speaker 9: up in eastern Kanaal County in Bell West, Virginia. I
• 15:46
Speaker 9: attended Bell Elementary and DuPont Junior and Senior High schools.
• 15:51
Speaker 9: After that, I went to West Virginia State College and
• 15:54
Speaker 9: earned my degree in elementary education. After that, I pursued
• 15:58
Speaker 9: a master's degree at Marshall U University in special education.
• 16:02
Speaker 9: Then I started my career with Kennawll County Schools. While
• 16:06
Speaker 9: I was with Kennall County Schools, had a myriad of
• 16:09
Speaker 9: different positions. I started as a preschool teacher. You know,
• 16:12
Speaker 9: they let me graduate from preschool and move on to kindergarten.
• 16:16
Speaker 9: And then I was in kindergarten for quite a bit
• 16:18
Speaker 9: until I kind of decided I wanted to go a
• 16:21
Speaker 9: different route. And then I kind of was in this
• 16:23
Speaker 9: part of my career where I was trying to figure
• 16:25
Speaker 9: out what I really wanted to do. So I was
• 16:27
  Speaker 9: a librarian for a year, I was a technologist. I
• 16:30
Speaker 9: was like, this isn't for me. So then I hit
• 16:32
Speaker 9: the sweet spot with reading intervention and so I did
• 16:34
Speaker 9: that in a building environment for about six or seven
• 16:38
Speaker 9: years at Bell Elementary. And so after that the Office
• 16:41
Speaker 9: of Exceptional Students, I interviewed for a position with them,
• 16:44
Speaker 9: and then that's when I really got my experience for
• 16:46
Speaker 9: the whole county K twelve being a reading interventionist for them.
• 16:50
Speaker 3: So with all of that, and you've done other things
• 16:53
Speaker 3: in your life that weren't just education related to I mean,
• 16:55
Speaker 3: you know, you've done broadcasting and different things. Why the
• 16:59
Speaker 3: run board of education? With all of this that you've done,
• 17:02
Speaker 3: all this you have going on your life, why would
• 17:04
Speaker 3: you run for board of Education in Kawah County?
• 17:06
  Speaker 6: I think, Dave.
• 17:07
Speaker 9: Whenever I retired in May, you know, I looked back
• 17:09
Speaker 9: at all my experiences over thirty five years and the
• 17:12
Speaker 9: dedication I have to serving the children of Kanall County,
• 17:16
Speaker 9: and I felt like, you know what, I have the
• 17:18
Speaker 9: experience now these last few years. I've been in every building,
• 17:21
Speaker 9: in every situation with staff members. I've worked with administrators, families,
• 17:26
Speaker 9: students one on one, and you know, I kind of
• 17:28
Speaker 9: got the feel of the negativity and the positivity of
• 17:32
Speaker 9: all of these stakeholders, you know, with how the county
• 17:36
Speaker 9: school system is run. And I thought, you know, this
• 17:38
Speaker 9: is something I could contribute to. This is something that
• 17:40
Speaker 9: I can make a difference with. And I can also
• 17:43
Speaker 9: you know, be that person that you know represents the students.
• 17:47
Speaker 9: I feel like that's my main goal right now is
• 17:49
Speaker 9: to be an advocate for those students.
• 17:51
Speaker 3: Jod again with Lisa Odie, who's a candidate for Bard
• 17:53
Speaker 3: of Education in Canawha County of Dave Island show on
• 17:55
Speaker 3: five Any Line brought to you in part by your
• 17:57
Speaker 3: hometown baseball team, the Charleston Dirty Birds or not. We
• 18:00
Speaker 3: are less than a week away from opening day. Single
• 18:03
Speaker 3: game tickets season tickets still available. Also, get your tickets
• 18:05
Speaker 3: for the WFU Marshall baseball game at Golmart Ballpark which
• 18:08
Speaker 3: is coming up on May fifth, follow them on social
• 18:10
Speaker 3: media or check out dirty Birds Baseball dot comy So,
• 18:13
Speaker 3: what do you see as some of the biggest issues
• 18:16
Speaker 3: that the board is dealing with now and what they're
• 18:19
Speaker 3: going to have to deal with in the future.
• 18:21
Speaker 9: Okay, well, I do think that what they're dealing with
• 18:24
Speaker 9: right now are budget issues. We saw the cuts with
• 18:26
Speaker 9: staff this past year, which were, you know, very unfortunate.
• 18:30
Speaker 9: I know the board members were not relishing having to
• 18:34
Speaker 9: make those cuts. The reality is we have population loss
• 18:37
Speaker 9: in Kanana County. We are dealing with the Whope scholarship
• 18:41
Speaker 9: coming down from the state level, and all of these
• 18:44
Speaker 9: things are putting a squeeze on our public school system,
• 18:47
Speaker 9: and so I feel like, first and foremost, we're going
• 18:49
Speaker 9: to have to figure out a way to take the
• 18:51
Speaker 9: money that we have and stretch it and make it
• 18:54
Speaker 9: works as effectively as possible to meet the needs of
• 18:59
Speaker 9: our staff in STEAFS.
• 19:01
Speaker 3: You know, you you talked about that and some of
• 19:03
Speaker 3: the tough decisions to be made as a as a
• 19:06
Speaker 3: as a board member, and you mentioned, you know, we
• 19:08
Speaker 3: we've had school closings here in Kanan County. We've had consomidations,
• 19:12
Speaker 3: et cetera. And there's a variety of reasons for that.
• 19:14
Speaker 3: You know, population loss certainly is there, but but more
• 19:17
Speaker 3: and more parents are taking their kids out of the
• 19:22
Speaker 3: traditional school systems that maybe you and I and our
• 19:26
Speaker 3: listeners grew up in for one reason or another. Uh,
• 19:29
  Speaker 3: And they're they're choosing other routes. It's it's not just
• 19:34
Speaker 3: you know, back in the day, there were there were
• 19:35
Speaker 3: always been, there were religious schools and so on and
• 19:37
Speaker 3: so forth. But there they're choosing other things, you know,
• 19:39
Speaker 3: they're using there's charter schools. Uh, there are other home
• 19:44
Speaker 3: you know, people after COVID really started doing more remote
• 19:48
Speaker 3: learning or or home schooling and so on and so forth.
• 19:51
Speaker 3: I just wonder when you look at all those things
• 19:54
Speaker 3: and as a potential school board member, how do you
• 19:57
Speaker 3: work through all that?
• 19:58
Speaker 9: Well, first of all, I I think that the judgment
• 20:02
Speaker 9: cannot come from me what families choose to do as
• 20:05
Speaker 9: far as educating their children. You know, I think the
• 20:10
Speaker 9: main thing that we have to do is promote public schools,
• 20:14
Speaker 9: show the good things that are happening there. You know,
• 20:17
Speaker 9: we've got great curriculums, we have great staff. I was
• 20:21
Speaker 9: a product and you were too. You just said of
• 20:23
Speaker 9: public school education. I also feel like, you know, knowing
• 20:27
Speaker 9: that there are things happening at the Capital that are
• 20:30
Speaker 9: are kind of negative toward what public schools need to
• 20:35
Speaker 9: function in a manner that's effective, that we probably need
• 20:39
Speaker 9: some advocacy at the Capitol. And I think, you know,
• 20:42
Speaker 9: maybe that's something that I could bring to the board,
• 20:44
Speaker 9: you know, going to the capital whenever they're in session
• 20:47
Speaker 9: and advocating for the school system because I feel like,
• 20:50
Speaker 9: you know, people have a choice, but we also have
• 20:53
Speaker 9: to make sure that our public schools are fully funded.
• 20:55
Speaker 9: Every single student in West Virginia. Virginia deserves the best
• 20:58
Speaker 9: education we can offer them, and so we have to
• 21:01
Speaker 9: see all sides and all views of this.
• 21:03
Speaker 3: What if you were to get elected and can we
• 21:05
Speaker 3: talk with Lisa od Canada for Board of Education. If
• 21:08
Speaker 3: you were elected and you were to go to the capital,
• 21:11
Speaker 3: or even now, if you're talking to a legislator, what
• 21:13
Speaker 3: would your what are your messages toward any member of
• 21:16
Speaker 3: the l and not specifically personalities, but just legislature as
• 21:19
Speaker 3: a whole. What would that message be?
• 21:21
Speaker 9: Okay, I think what the first thing I would say is,
• 21:23
Speaker 9: you know, we have to consider this is federally mandated
• 21:29
Speaker 9: education and we need to make sure that we provide
• 21:32
Speaker 9: the best possible education to all our students. We have
• 21:35
Speaker 9: to make sure that you know, the public school system
• 21:38
Speaker 9: has regulations to follow. We have to have certified teachers.
• 21:42
Speaker 9: To have certified teachers, you have to have money to
• 21:44
Speaker 9: pay those teachers, right, you have to follow special education law.
• 21:49
Speaker 9: That funding is traditionally more expensive than it is for
• 21:52
Speaker 9: the gen ed funding. So you know, there are so
• 21:55
Speaker 9: many other aspects of public schools, you know, different from
• 22:00
Speaker 9: the Hope scholarship environment. And you know, I don't want
• 22:04
Speaker 9: to go into specifics on that, but I do know
• 22:06
Speaker 9: that public schools have a little more regulation than that
• 22:09
Speaker 9: other party. And so we need to make sure we
• 22:11
Speaker 9: have the moneys to cover everything that is required to
• 22:14
Speaker 9: be a functional public school system.
• 22:17
Speaker 3: It's the world of public schools in general has changed
• 22:21
Speaker 3: so much since what you and I weren school. I mean,
• 22:23
Speaker 3: the kids now are totally the parents are totally different.
• 22:26
Speaker 3: You know, you have so many kids that are being
• 22:28
Speaker 3: raised by grandparents, in some cases that are raised by
• 22:32
Speaker 3: great grandparents because mom, dad and grandparents aren't are around.
• 22:36
Speaker 3: We have a real problem with student homelessness in West Virginia.
• 22:40
Speaker 3: And when you say a homeless it's not necessarily someone
• 22:43
Speaker 3: living on the street. It's somebody that's what they call CouchSurfing,
• 22:46
Speaker 3: that's going staying with this friend or this uncle and
• 22:48
Speaker 3: so on and so forth. So, I mean, you've got
• 22:51
Speaker 3: to be able as an educator and somebody involved in
• 22:54
Speaker 3: the school system. I think in twenty twenty six you've
• 22:56
Speaker 3: got to be able to do so many different things
• 22:58
Speaker 3: that you didn't have to do years ago.
• 23:00
Speaker 9: Yeah, I mean I think that excuse me, Dave. The
• 23:02
Speaker 9: emphasis on mental health is a completely different animal than
• 23:06
Speaker 9: it was when we were in school. There are so
• 23:08
Speaker 9: many aspects that fall under the mental health umbrella. Just
• 23:10
Speaker 9: what you said, we've got you know, children that are
• 23:13
Speaker 9: living with extended family, and that's you know, something that
• 23:17
Speaker 9: maybe mentally that that would be a hard adjustment for
• 23:19
Speaker 9: that child. You have the homeless population that you're talking about,
• 23:23
Speaker 9: you know, not just you know, not someone necessarily living
• 23:26
Speaker 9: under you know, on a street or under a bridge,
• 23:28
Speaker 9: but maybe living out of their car. And so we
• 23:31
Speaker 9: need to make sure we have enough social services in
• 23:33
Speaker 9: the public school system to meet all those needs. Now
• 23:36
Speaker 9: it's not like it used to be. You know, back
• 23:39
Speaker 9: when we were in public schools.
• 23:40
Speaker 3: I can't imagine, you know, when we had guidance counselors
• 23:43
Speaker 3: in school that pretty much meant well, we're going to
• 23:45
Speaker 3: help you get ready for the act pretty hard, or
• 23:48
Speaker 3: we're going to help you do you want to go
• 23:50
Speaker 3: to a four year institution or are you going to
• 23:51
Speaker 3: go into military or going to go right toward. That's
• 23:53
Speaker 3: what guidance counselors did when I was in the nineteen
• 23:56
Speaker 3: going to school in the nineteen eighties.
• 23:58
Speaker 9: And it's a tough I mean they are actually they're still.
• 24:01
Speaker 3: Those things, but they're doing other things too.
• 24:04
Speaker 9: Yeah, they are providing mental health services to these students,
• 24:06
Speaker 9: these students that are struggling. You know, with whatever it
• 24:10
Speaker 9: is in the background of their educational life. So we
• 24:13
Speaker 9: need to make sure that that is happening in these schools.
• 24:17
Speaker 9: And it can't just be like like what you're saying,
• 24:18
Speaker 9: a fifteen minute block that the counselor comes in, you know,
• 24:21
Speaker 9: speaks to the kids for you know, two or three
• 24:24
Speaker 9: times a week, and then leaves. It's got to be
• 24:25
Speaker 9: embedded throughout the day. This is something that's so severe.
• 24:29
Speaker 9: I think I just saw this morning on the news
• 24:31
Speaker 9: there was a recently a man that had entered a school.
• 24:34
Speaker 9: You know, I think he had the intentions of you know,
• 24:39
Speaker 9: assassinating the principle and and so you know that those
• 24:42
Speaker 9: are the things we're dealing with. So we kind of
• 24:44
Speaker 9: make sure our kids are safe and well cared for
• 24:46
Speaker 9: and mentally, you know, mentally make sure their needs are met.
• 24:50
Speaker 3: How it's a campaign been so far.
• 24:52
Speaker 9: It's been good. You know, I've been that's been busy.
• 24:56
Speaker 9: I've had a lot of forums to attend and speak to.
• 24:59
Speaker 3: There was just one last night, yes, yes, yes.
• 25:01
Speaker 9: Yeah, there was one at First Baptist on Shrewsbury Street.
• 25:04
Speaker 9: And so that forum was it had you know, a
• 25:07
Speaker 9: myriad of candidates. It wasn't just board member candidates, it
• 25:09
Speaker 9: was candidates for Senate and legislature, so it was it
• 25:12
Speaker 9: was pretty interesting. We all got three minutes to speak,
• 25:16
Speaker 9: just give our platform, just to give a brief introduction.
• 25:18
Speaker 9: So but things like that, I think the thing, Dave,
• 25:21
Speaker 9: that I have enjoyed the most and probably gained the
• 25:24
Speaker 9: most knowledge from its going door to door. You know,
• 25:27
Speaker 9: I know when I knock on this door and the
• 25:30
Speaker 9: lady answers and comes out on the porch and says,
• 25:32
Speaker 9: please have a seat, I'm like, oh, this is going
• 25:34
Speaker 9: to be a minute, right, But I'm learning a lot.
• 25:36
Speaker 9: You know, I've had I've had families. A mother that
• 25:39
Speaker 9: was comfortable enough to sit with me for twenty minutes
• 25:42
Speaker 9: and explain that, you know, she's not she's unhappy with
• 25:45
Speaker 9: the things that are happening with her, her child in school,
• 25:48
Speaker 9: with her iep and so we talked through that. I've
• 25:50
Speaker 9: had others, you know, on the other side of it,
• 25:52
Speaker 9: upset about the way budgets are happening in high schools,
• 25:55
Speaker 9: talked through that. So I think it's been you know,
• 25:58
Speaker 9: I know, door to door is exhausting, but for me,
• 26:00
Speaker 9: it's been very educational and I've learned a lot from
• 26:03
  Speaker 9: my constituents.
• 26:04
Speaker 3: When you go out to these forums, I'm just kind
• 26:08
Speaker 3: of curious when people and in that case, people are
• 26:10
Speaker 3: coming to you as opposed to you going to them
• 26:12
Speaker 3: and knocking the door. What do you hear different things?
• 26:14
  Speaker 7: There?
• 26:14
Speaker 3: Are they the same issues that you hear when they
• 26:16
  Speaker 3: when Probably.
• 26:19
Speaker 9: It's different, you know, I mean when I feel like
• 26:21
Speaker 9: when I go door to door, these people are giving
• 26:23
Speaker 9: me personal stories and their own personal you know issues.
• 26:28
Speaker 9: Excuse me. But but when you're having a forum, it's
• 26:31
Speaker 9: more it's more formal, like they're just asking me, you know,
• 26:35
Speaker 9: basic policy questions and how I feel about this.
• 26:37
Speaker 3: Or that you have opportunity sometimes afterwards, you know, if
• 26:39
Speaker 3: you're when you're during the cookie and coffee or tea
• 26:42
Speaker 3: time afterwards you have you have time to speak.
• 26:45
Speaker 9: Yeah, we chat, we get to meet and talk. So yeah,
• 26:47
Speaker 9: it's beneficial. But like I said, I like the forums
• 26:50
Speaker 9: that they're good, but the door to door has been,
• 26:52
Speaker 9: you know, for me, the good the thing I've really enjoyed.
• 26:54
Speaker 3: And I want I do want to mention this about
• 26:56
Speaker 3: those forums. By the way, Uh, if your group, your organization,
• 27:00
Speaker 3: your church or whomever is doing to meet the candidate's form.
• 27:02
Speaker 3: Please let me know about it, because I'll be glad
• 27:04
Speaker 3: to put it on the air. I know we had
• 27:06
Speaker 3: a little bit of information on the news department on
• 27:09
Speaker 3: that one last night, but we were not informed of
• 27:11
Speaker 3: that up until that time. So ninety four percent of
• 27:13
Speaker 3: the population in America still listens to the radio in
• 27:16
Speaker 3: one form or another on a regular basis. So if
• 27:19
Speaker 3: if your group, your club, your church, whatever, whomever is
• 27:22
Speaker 3: having a meet the candidates form, please drop me an
• 27:24
Speaker 3: email Dave dot alanwvradio dot com or at Dave A
• 27:28
Speaker 3: seventy on x or any of any of Dave Allen
• 27:33
Speaker 3: Radio on Facebook. Just let me know about it so
• 27:35
Speaker 3: I can get it out there to the people. Let
• 27:36
Speaker 3: Dave know. Let Dave no, let Dave no. All right,
• 27:39
Speaker 3: so you got a website or Facebook?
• 27:41
Speaker 9: Oh yeah, So the website created is Lisa odiot E
• 27:45
Speaker 9: y for WV dot com all overcase, or you can
• 27:49
Speaker 9: go to Facebook. And I've got two different pages. My
• 27:52
Speaker 9: one is my regular page, Lisa ODI, and then I
• 27:55
Speaker 9: also have a page created as a political candidate. It's
• 27:58
Speaker 9: Lisa od four cacs sell caps boe all.
• 28:01
Speaker 3: Right, final thirty. This is what I do with every
• 28:04
Speaker 3: candidate not time final thirty. Why should someone vote for
• 28:07
Speaker 3: Lisa Odie for Kannon County Bard of Education.
• 28:10
Speaker 9: The reason you should vote for me is because I
• 28:12
Speaker 9: have thirty five years of experience in Kanaan County schools.
• 28:16
Speaker 9: I've served a various you know, different positions in the
• 28:20
Speaker 9: county and so I have different perspectives. I have had
• 28:24
Speaker 9: the perspective of working with you know, large group of
• 28:28
Speaker 9: students to small groups and even one on one. I've
• 28:31
Speaker 9: worked with families in parent teacher conferences as my role
• 28:35
Speaker 9: as an itenor at reading specialist. And of course the
• 28:38
Speaker 9: teachers that I've worked with over the years, I mean,
• 28:40
Speaker 9: they're my friends, and I feel like when we have
• 28:41
Speaker 9: these tough conversations I'll be able to bring them to
• 28:44
Speaker 9: the table so that we can all, you know, kind
• 28:47
Speaker 9: of get our views out and see if we can
• 28:49
Speaker 9: come to a consensus when it comes to big decisions.
• 28:52
Speaker 9: I'm ethical, and I think the biggest thing day for
• 28:56
Speaker 9: me is I'm an advocate for students. I'm here for
• 28:58
Speaker 9: the students, love my families, love my staff, but the
• 29:02
Speaker 9: students are always going to be my priority.

• 31:42

• 31:49
Speaker 3: narrative that is out there. And look, I am not
• 31:52
Speaker 3: as you've heard me say since day one I started
• 31:54
  Speaker 3: doing the show. I'm not a parent. I don't spend
• 31:57
Speaker 3: a lot of time at public schools. I'm not a parent.
• 31:59
Speaker 3: If i'd it'd be kind of weird. I did spend
• 32:02
Speaker 3: a lot of time at public schools. In my previous
• 32:04
Speaker 3: life working for the Westernrginian Secretary of State's office, when
• 32:06
Speaker 3: I was in just about every school, every high school
• 32:09
Speaker 3: in the state at one point or another doing voter
• 32:10
  Speaker 3: registration drives. I don't know what's I do know. I
• 32:15
Speaker 3: will say this, I think that for those of us
• 32:19
Speaker 3: that have not been in public school in a long time,
• 32:21
Speaker 3: I think there is a lot of misinformation out there
• 32:23
Speaker 3: and things we think with things that we think we
• 32:25
Speaker 3: know and we really don't. I mean, with all due respect, now,
• 32:29
Speaker 3: I love all my textures. I had a texture to
• 32:31
Speaker 3: the Midday Show yesterday that made a comment about all
• 32:33
Speaker 3: these things were taken out of public school. There were
• 32:35
Speaker 3: like ten of them, and eight of them are still there.
• 32:38
Speaker 3: You know, there are still prayer there's still prayer in school,
• 32:40
Speaker 3: Prayers never taken out of school. There are still prayer clubs,
• 32:44
Speaker 3: there are still organizations of all kinds in schools. And
• 32:49
  Speaker 3: you know, I'm not saying it's a good or a
• 32:51
Speaker 3: bad thing. I'm saying it's there and always has been.
• 32:55
Speaker 3: I do appreciate the text tex, says Dave at last
• 32:58
Speaker 3: night's Putnam County Town Counts. This is you know, somebody
• 33:01
Speaker 3: just messing with me here about the Google data centers.
• 33:03
Speaker 3: The residents of Buffalo were informed there there would be
• 33:07
Speaker 3: roundabouts built, lots of them, at least three per data center.
• 33:10
Speaker 3: It was the point the enthusiasm for data centers changed.
• 33:13
Speaker 3: Pitchforks Modotov cocktails. Yeah, So I'm going to get to
• 33:18
Speaker 3: that a little bit later on about the data centers
• 33:21
Speaker 3: in Buffalo, and actually in Putnam County in general, and
• 33:25
Speaker 3: the roundabout thing. You know, that was a big battle
• 33:27
Speaker 3: man that just kind of went away. You know, in
• 33:30
Speaker 3: Putnam County the year ago, maybe eight months to a
• 33:33
Speaker 3: year ago, there were signs everywhere you went in Putnam
• 33:36
Speaker 3: County that said note roundabouts, and then there were the
• 33:39
Speaker 3: people that were for them, and it ended up getting
• 33:42
Speaker 3: scrapped anyway. So I don't know when it comes to
• 33:46
Speaker 3: the roundabouts thing. I had not experienced a whole lot
• 33:49
Speaker 3: of them until recently. They are a little confusing, but
• 33:53
Speaker 3: once you get used to them, you're fine. I have
• 33:55
Speaker 3: said since day one about this that West Virginians can't
• 33:58
Speaker 3: navigate a three and four a way stop, so I
• 34:01
Speaker 3: don't know how they're supposed to do roundabouts. But anyway,

• 35:11

• 35:15
Speaker 3: Now I should be back in time for Metro News
• 35:19
Speaker 3: midday hopefully. Anyway, I could be glowing a little bit,
• 35:23
Speaker 3: all right, Just saying so if you know, the two
• 35:26
Speaker 3: to three hour is on Metro News television, So if
• 35:28
Speaker 3: you're watching, you might see an extra glow on the screen,
• 35:33
Speaker 3: just letting you know. And look, I have said since
• 35:36
Speaker 3: day one of this diagnosis, a couple of months ago,
• 35:39
Speaker 3: I have had zero symptoms of anything. I wouldn't even
• 35:44
Speaker 3: know I had cancer had they not told me it
• 35:46
Speaker 3: was detected with blood test during a checkup. I will
• 35:51
Speaker 3: give you one piece of advice though, all right, Not
• 35:54
Speaker 3: preaching to you, just saying I went two years ago
• 35:57
Speaker 3: for a checkup, and I had been for a check
• 36:00
Speaker 3: up in a while, all right, so I'll go for
• 36:02
Speaker 3: a check up. And they told me, among other things, okay,
• 36:04
Speaker 3: well number one day you got high blood pressure and
• 36:06
Speaker 3: knew that was coming. I was in my early fifties.
• 36:08
Speaker 3: My parents both had high blood pressure. I knew it
• 36:10
Speaker 3: was coming. I thought it as long as I could,
• 36:13
Speaker 3: so I said, okay, I'll do the blood pressure medication.
• 36:15
Speaker 3: So did that and they told me then that my
• 36:19
Speaker 3: PSA level, which in radio PSA means public service announcement.
• 36:24
Speaker 3: So but what I found out it wasn't that was
• 36:27
Speaker 3: was a little high. And they said, you need to
• 36:30
Speaker 3: go to a urologist and get this checked out and
• 36:32
Speaker 3: go through all the you know, biopsy. Well I made
• 36:36
Speaker 3: it to the urologists, but I didn't go any further
• 36:37
Speaker 3: than that because I was like, I don't have time
• 36:39
Speaker 3: for this, you know, And that's not on the company
• 36:41
Speaker 3: that's on me. You know, this company has been great
• 36:43
Speaker 3: to work with me on this, so it's not on
• 36:45
Speaker 3: the company that's on you boy here. And so I
• 36:48
Speaker 3: ignored it for a year, and then I went back
• 36:51
Speaker 3: for another check up. They said, hey, everything's good, you've
• 36:54
Speaker 3: lost weight, blood pressure's fine, but your PSA level is
• 36:56
Speaker 3: now through the roof. And so I said, well, okay,
• 36:59
Speaker 3: maybe it's time to get serious about this. I go
• 37:01
Speaker 3: through the whole thing and yeah. That led to a
• 37:04
Speaker 3: series of biops, these pet scans, insertions of things in me,
• 37:08
Speaker 3: a process known as tattooing. So I'm not even gonna
• 37:11
Speaker 3: go into all that injections, so on and so all
• 37:14
Speaker 3: designed to get me ready for the actual treatments, which
• 37:18
Speaker 3: start tomorrow. And I'm talking to Millie Snyder about that,
• 37:20
Speaker 3: and she said, I thought you'd already started this tree.
• 37:22
Speaker 3: I said, no, I've just been getting ready for the treatments. Well,
• 37:25
Speaker 3: they start tomorrow, nine am tomorrow morning, and I'm gonna
• 37:29
  Speaker 3: be fine.
• 37:30
  Speaker 7: Uh.
• 37:30
Speaker 3: And I will say this to my male friends out there,
• 37:32
Speaker 3: if you're gonna get cancer, prostate cancer seems to be
• 37:35
Speaker 3: the way to go. Okay, it's extremely treatable as long
• 37:38
Speaker 3: as it doesn't spread. And I've had no side effects
• 37:41
Speaker 3: of any kind. I mean absolutely, because they told me,
• 37:45
Speaker 3: they said, well, once we do this, these treatments are
• 37:48
Speaker 3: getting you ready for the treatment. You're gonna have this,
• 37:51
Speaker 3: and you're gonna have that. You're gonna have hot flashes,
• 37:53
Speaker 3: you're gonna have you know. Again, I'm not gonna go
• 37:55
Speaker 3: at all with details. But nothing that they said would
• 37:58
Speaker 3: happen happened so far. So we'll find out tomorrow when
• 38:02
Speaker 3: I get beamed up with radiation. And they said I
• 38:05
Speaker 3: don't have to have a whole lot of treatments, but
• 38:07
Speaker 3: it is going to take me away from the microphone.
• 38:09
Speaker 3: On the Local show, at least I tried to get
• 38:10
Speaker 3: them after three when I get off the air, but
• 38:13
Speaker 3: they only do them apparently in the morning, So sorry
• 38:15
Speaker 3: about that. So Dale Cooper have the show tomorrow, so
• 38:18
Speaker 3: it is going to take me away from the morning
• 38:20
Speaker 3: show for from time to time. But Cooper, Jeff, everybody
• 38:24
Speaker 3: here will step in form me, and I do really
• 38:26
Speaker 3: appreciate for that. I will be fine, should be back
• 38:29
Speaker 3: by tomorrow afternoon from Atter News midday and then I
• 38:32
Speaker 3: don't have another treatmental next week. So just kind of
• 38:35
Speaker 3: kind of letting you know how the whole thing is

Speaker 3: A civil lawsuit has been filed in US District Court

Speaker 3: in connection with that crash on I sixty four in

Speaker 3: Putnam County last month that happened during a high speed pursuit.
• 42:33
Speaker 3: Angela Bourne was the person that's killed in the rack.
• 42:35
Speaker 3: The husband of Angelo Boorn now alleging that law enforcement
• 42:39
Speaker 3: is to blame for that accident on the interstate near
• 42:41
Speaker 3: Hurricane that took the life of his wife. Now you
• 42:44
Speaker 3: know the story. Police were in pursuit of one Joseph
• 42:47
Speaker 3: Elswick after he is alleged with stolen his grandmother's vehicle,
• 42:52
Speaker 3: and there were spike strips that were used on the
• 42:55
Speaker 3: interstate to try to stop Elswick. And the lawsuit is
• 43:00
Speaker 3: saying that Elswick was weaving in and out of traffic
• 43:03
Speaker 3: on the interstate to avoid the spike strips and somehow
• 43:07
Speaker 3: slammed into Angela Bourne's vehicle. That vehicle then burst into flames,
• 43:14
Speaker 3: killing her. The civil suit calls the pursuit unnecessarily dangerous
• 43:22
Speaker 3: and negligent, and that Angela Bourne's civil rights were violated
• 43:28
Speaker 3: by continuing the pursuit onto the interstate. Now you can
• 43:31
Speaker 3: read the actual complaint yourself. There's a link to it

• 44:00
Speaker 3: and other officers that were several that were involved in
• 44:03
Speaker 3: the pursuit. Now Elswick is still locked up on charges.
• 44:12
Speaker 3: There were a variety of charges here, but they do
• 44:15
Speaker 3: include the hicketar homicide, fleeing with reckless indifference, and a
• 44:20
Speaker 3: couple others. As I said, in addition to her husband,
• 44:22
Speaker 3: Angela Bourne was fifty two years old, was left behind
• 44:26
Speaker 3: six kids, and she was a business owner known very

Speaker 3: Residents were allowed to speak, and some spoke out against
• 45:29
Speaker 3: or at least had questions about the proposed Google Dentists
• 45:33
Speaker 3: Google Data Center, which is located in Buffalo where it's
• 45:37
Speaker 3: going to be anyway, there's about seventeen hundred acres of
• 45:41
Speaker 3: land on both sides of Route sixty two. And look,
• 45:46
Speaker 3: I applaud people for speaking up or at least asking questions.
• 45:51
Speaker 3: That is certainly their right. This is not a small undertaking.
• 45:55
Speaker 3: And I wasn't in Putnam County, you know, years ago,
• 46:00
Speaker 3: years ago or whatever it was when the Toyota Plant
• 46:02
Speaker 3: was built, but I'm sure there was public hearings and
• 46:05
Speaker 3: you know, people wanted to know what was going on.
• 46:08
Speaker 3: And I will say, as somebody who's lived in Putnam
• 46:09
Speaker 3: County for twelve years now, you couldn't ask for a
• 46:11
Speaker 3: better community neighbor than what Toyota has been. I mean,
• 46:13
Speaker 3: those spos have been absolutely fantastic. And I think people
• 46:17
Speaker 3: from the Putnam County Commission to the Chamber of Commerce
• 46:19
Speaker 3: and the school system and whatever would just come out
• 46:21
Speaker 3: and say, you know, yay Toyota one hundred percent. And
• 46:25
Speaker 3: it's certain it is the right of people to show
• 46:29
Speaker 3: up at these meetings and ask questions and comments. I mean,
• 46:32
Speaker 3: no problem with that at all. Commissioned President Andy, I'm
• 46:36
Speaker 3: not sorry not Randy. Andy Skidmore says he believes that
• 46:42
Speaker 3: there are going to be four buildings in all built
• 46:47
Speaker 3: and for geographic purposes. It's near the west end of Buffalo,
• 46:54
Speaker 3: on the opposite side of the Toyota Plant. As best
• 46:57
Speaker 3: I understand the thing that led them there, well, one
• 47:04
Speaker 3: of the reasons I'm not going to say it's the
• 47:05
Speaker 3: be all end all, but one of the reasons why
• 47:08
Speaker 3: they chose that particular site is it was pretty much,
• 47:10
Speaker 3: as they say in the construction business, pretty much site ready.
• 47:14
Speaker 3: I mean as far as the these things, And this
• 47:18
Speaker 3: is not me speaking negatively about it. I'm just speaking
• 47:20
Speaker 3: from a factual standpoint. These things do require a lot
• 47:24
Speaker 3: of power, and the power at this particular from what
• 47:28
Speaker 3: I understand, this particular area, the power was already ready
• 47:33
Speaker 3: to go. You know, Appleacchian power, had the infrastructure already
• 47:38
Speaker 3: in place, So a process of that that would have
• 47:43
Speaker 3: been delayed in other areas and you know, put public
• 47:46
Speaker 3: hearings and clearing out and massive amounts of dollars and
• 47:50
Speaker 3: have to go into this, it was already there. So
• 47:53
Speaker 3: I mean, and barring some unforeseen circumstances, uh, it's ready
• 47:58
Speaker 3: to go and it's coming. Which again I have no
• 48:03
Speaker 3: issue with people showing up being good citizens and asking questions.
• 48:07
Speaker 3: That's what people that's what people should do. If they've
• 48:10
Speaker 3: got questions, they've got concerns, they've got comments, by all means,
• 48:14
Speaker 3: they should go out and they should speak and get
• 48:17
Speaker 3: answers to their questions and go in with an open mind.
• 48:20
Speaker 3: And from what I understand, I wasn't there, but from
• 48:22
Speaker 3: talking to people last yesterday morning at the meeting of
• 48:25
Speaker 3: the Putnam County Commission. That that's what happened. People showed
• 48:28
Speaker 3: up and they asked questions. Good on them. I've gone
• 48:31
Speaker 3: on record editorial comment for me of saying it's a
• 48:35
Speaker 3: great thing for Putnam County. And I'm speaking as a
• 48:37
Speaker 3: Putnam County resident and been there for twelve years and
• 48:40
Speaker 3: don't have any plans of leaving anytime soon. Next up
• 48:42
  Speaker 3: Florida or somewhere like that, I don't know. It's a
• 48:48
Speaker 3: great thing for Button County, and Putnam County is starting
• 48:51
Speaker 3: to explode again, just like it did in the late eighties,
• 48:55
Speaker 3: early nineties, and those of you that were around, and
• 48:58
Speaker 3: I love talking to people that are native Puttnam County
• 49:00
Speaker 3: and who will tell me I remember when this place
• 49:03
Speaker 3: was just farmland, nothing else. And now look at it yesterday,
• 49:07
Speaker 3: twenty five minutes from the time I get to the
• 49:10
Speaker 3: Tayes Valley exit to the approximately two miles up the
• 49:12
Speaker 3: road to turn into the subdivision where I live. Twenty
• 49:16
Speaker 3: minutes yesterday, And you know what I say to that?
• 49:21
Speaker 3: Love it? I love it. I'm right in the middle
• 49:23
Speaker 3: of all of it, and I love it. Bringing on. CJ.
• 49:28
Speaker 3: Meadows also lives in Putnam Camp. We got a lot,
• 49:31
Speaker 3: I mean about fifteen years now. Chris Lawrence, Amanda Barrett, Yeah,
• 49:35
Speaker 3: Fred Pursinger. Am I leaving anybody else out that lives
• 49:38
  Speaker 3: in Putnam Cam?
• 49:40
Speaker 18: I don't think you are. It's the place to be. Look,
• 49:43
Speaker 18: I have to tell you we love it down there.
• 49:44
Speaker 18: When my kids, I have three kids, it's convenient, it's
• 49:47
Speaker 18: close to everything, their activities. I mean, it's just it's
• 49:49
Speaker 18: a great place to be, great place to raise a family.
• 49:52
Speaker 3: And there's people moving in every day, every day, every kid.
• 49:55
Speaker 18: I could put my house on the market at twelve
• 49:57
Speaker 18: o'clock to day, you'd be sold by one thirty.
• 49:59
  Speaker 6: Yeah.
• 49:59
Speaker 3: Our joke is take the curtains down for the blinds
• 50:01
Speaker 3: down to clean them, and somebody's wanting to buy your house. Exactly,
• 50:03
Speaker 3: all right, Medals Wilson coming up a talk line at
