- 7:47Speaker 2: This is The Woody Show.
- 7:51Speaker 3: And we check in with Gina Grad. She's got the
- 7:55Speaker 3: trending news headlines.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Yeah, well, we're learning even more about the final hours
- 7:59Speaker 4: before Hayden kind of Tiara died. So according to the
- 8:01Speaker 4: police report, security cameras captured Hayden, her boyfriend, and the
- 8:05Speaker 4: boyfriend's brother coming and going from the complex before she died.
- 8:09Speaker 4: The brother is the one who found Hayden and called
- 8:11Speaker 4: nine one one, and the boyfriend was sleeping in another bedroom.
- 8:15Speaker 4: Police recovered a bag containing nine different medications Hayden had
- 8:18Speaker 4: been taking and a toxicology report that's still pending. Investigators
- 8:22Speaker 4: hope the security footage will establish a clearer timeline of
- 8:26Speaker 4: what happened before she died. But you know who isn't
- 8:28Speaker 4: a big fan of her boyfriend. Haydn's mom She called
- 8:31Speaker 4: him a quote person in her life that we've been
- 8:33Speaker 4: trying to get rid of for quite some time.
- 8:36Speaker 3: Jeff and I can speak to those kind of people,
- 8:37Speaker 3: can't wait, Yes, I can. Yeah, Like each one of
- 8:40Speaker 3: each one of us has a has a kid, that
- 8:42Speaker 3: was involved with somebody that we did not want them
- 8:44Speaker 3: involved with for a number of reasons, like the like
- 8:47Speaker 3: a toxic a toxic girlfriend.
- 8:50Speaker 4: And man, it's a drags them down.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a bummer, man, because you can only do
- 8:55Speaker 3: so much.
- 8:55Speaker 2: Yeah, but those situations corrected themselves, right, they did, Thank goodness.
- 9:00Speaker 6: Yea.
- 9:00Speaker 2: In the moment, it's worse though, because you're telling them
- 9:02Speaker 2: and they don't want to hear it. In the moment,
- 9:04Speaker 2: they can't hear it, and they're at the edge where
- 9:06Speaker 2: they think we're going to be together forever. Yeah, and
- 9:08Speaker 2: they see it, you know.
- 9:09Speaker 8: I mean, this guy was linked to Haight and back
- 9:11Speaker 8: in twenty eighteen went to jail for domestic violence against her.
- 9:15Speaker 4: She wrote about it in her book.
- 9:16Speaker 2: And now they're scene together.
- 9:18Speaker 4: He's a great guy.
- 9:19Speaker 3: On the day that she dies.
- 9:21Speaker 8: Yeah, but all of her friends said that they didn't
- 9:23Speaker 8: she didn't tell them that she was dating.
- 9:25Speaker 3: This guy against I know, but like, were they I
- 9:28Speaker 3: don't know, I feel against.
- 9:29Speaker 4: But yeah, well that's the thing. When you get back
- 9:31Speaker 4: with the toxic X, you kind of keep.
- 9:33Speaker 3: That to yourself.
- 9:34Speaker 1: Warned you.
- 9:35Speaker 3: It just means that you're doing other things too. I mean,
- 9:37Speaker 3: you know she had all those uh you know, those drugs,
- 9:39Speaker 3: those prescriptions or whatever, nine different ones.
- 9:43Speaker 2: Yeah, they said she was sick though, Yeah, right, but
- 9:45Speaker 2: it makes.
- 9:45Speaker 3: It makes sense that it would be an overdose, like
- 9:48Speaker 3: a person of her age doesn't seem to be quote
- 9:50Speaker 3: out of shape, that she's big and obese, and I
- 9:53Speaker 3: would just have some heart attack out of nowhere. Narcan
- 9:56Speaker 3: found right, Narcan, Yeah, yeah.
- 9:58Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 9:59Speaker 3: Sad well.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Meta is back in court. A group of twenty nine
- 10:03Speaker 4: states are going after Meta, claiming features like infinite scrolling
- 10:06Speaker 4: and constant notifications were intentionally designed to keep young users hoped.
- 10:10Speaker 3: Really.
- 10:11Speaker 4: The first witness called was a former Meta executive who
- 10:14Speaker 4: worked as an engineering director at Facebook. He testifies that
- 10:18Speaker 4: the company's research on safety issues was not being used
- 10:21Speaker 4: to improve products. For example, regarding eating disorder content, they
- 10:24Speaker 4: had ways to keep users, especially young users, from being
- 10:27Speaker 4: exposed to it, but once it was reviewed and tweaked,
- 10:30Speaker 4: it was whittled down to basically nothing. It made no difference.
- 10:33Speaker 4: They also say that Meta collects data on children under
- 10:36Speaker 4: thirteen without parent consent, which is a violation of federal law.
- 10:39Speaker 4: They went around one point four trillion dollars in damages.
- 10:44Speaker 4: So of course the question always always who gets that money?
- 10:47Speaker 3: Yeah, so that's like trillion, Yeah, that's that's the question.
- 10:49Speaker 2: All right.
- 10:50Speaker 3: Cool, So these states they're going after that one point
- 10:52Speaker 3: four truck.
- 10:53Speaker 2: Does this go to the young people.
- 10:55Speaker 3: Going to therapy for all the things they rehabs been?
- 10:59Speaker 2: Yeah, hearing a lot of ads.
- 11:00Speaker 9: They're the new messophiliama like hearing like a lot of
- 11:03Speaker 9: class action class class action commercials even on stations here.
- 11:08Speaker 5: Because this all the states will get the money and
- 11:11Speaker 5: they'll spend it wisely.
- 11:13Speaker 4: And I've been saying this for a while. I think
- 11:14Speaker 4: I have the perfect solution, like it would happen probably
- 11:17Speaker 4: at this point, have to be a third party app
- 11:19Speaker 4: to quit doom scrolling. All you have to do kids,
- 11:22Speaker 4: And I say this for the kid when he watches
- 11:24Speaker 4: YouTube shorts, I wish they had instead of scrolling, when
- 11:27Speaker 4: you flip up or whatever, flip to the next one there,
- 11:29Speaker 4: the screen goes blank for three seconds before you can
- 11:33Speaker 4: go to the next screen.
- 11:34Speaker 2: You drive them crazy.
- 11:36Speaker 4: You would just quit, I think you would. You don't
- 11:38Speaker 4: get that dopamine hit when it's not scull scroll. You
- 11:40Speaker 4: know you can seconds.
- 11:42Speaker 3: You can set in the parental controls. You can set
- 11:46Speaker 3: an app limit time. So like for our daughter, she
- 11:49Speaker 3: has one hour a day on different apps, and then
- 11:53Speaker 3: once she hits that she has to get auto sends
- 11:56Speaker 3: a request. She can send a request for more time.
- 11:58Speaker 3: We could choose no, it's cool, fifteen minutes, one hour, Yeah,
- 12:02Speaker 3: all day.
- 12:03Speaker 2: What's the most dominant response from you?
- 12:05Speaker 3: No, Well, we give her like an hour, like if
- 12:08Speaker 3: it's you know, whatever the day is, whatever's going on.
- 12:10Speaker 3: We've asked her to do certain things, she has certain responsibilities.
- 12:13Speaker 2: Has she done them?
- 12:14Speaker 3: I'm fine, here, you get another hour.
- 12:16Speaker 4: But they would never want to give you something that
- 12:18Speaker 4: stops the dopamine hit, which would be a pause.
- 12:21Speaker 1: You know.
- 12:21Speaker 4: That's why you don't get a pause when you're playing slots.
- 12:23Speaker 4: You know in Vegas you need to keep got a
- 12:25Speaker 4: pause for three seconds.
- 12:27Speaker 2: That's here's my naive question. What data does a thirteen
- 12:30Speaker 2: year old have?
- 12:31Speaker 4: That's a great question.
- 12:32Speaker 2: You know they're not doing going out buying stuff and
- 12:34Speaker 2: tracking Oh this is what they like to buy.
- 12:36Speaker 9: Yeah, it shows their interests. Yeah, what they're watching, Yeah,
- 12:39Speaker 9: what they're stopping on and watching in full? They say, like,
- 12:42Speaker 9: the most influential person in America is probably thirteen fourteen
- 12:45Speaker 9: year old girl girl. Yeah, yeah, because they influence all
- 12:48Speaker 9: the young boys, influence their parents, all that kind of stuff.
- 12:51Speaker 9: So if you can target them and influence them on
- 12:54Speaker 9: what they like, right, they will influence everybody.
- 12:56Speaker 2: Then it's a vicious cycle. Influence them to do what
- 12:59Speaker 2: so you can sell prop Of course, everybody wants their
- 13:02Speaker 2: product to be popular and successful, so god forbid, Facebook
- 13:06Speaker 2: wants their stuff.
- 13:06Speaker 4: To be well, means your daughter is the most influential
- 13:10Speaker 4: person in the world.
- 13:12Speaker 3: Well, all the stuff that she likes I hate? Yeah there,
- 13:15Speaker 3: how do you watch this or like, what is the
- 13:17Speaker 3: appeal of this? I don't get anyh yeah, dumb things
- 13:21Speaker 3: on YouTube, But she's making you aware of them. That's
- 13:25Speaker 3: her influence.
- 13:26Speaker 2: You can't, right, but he's not gonna go out and
- 13:27Speaker 2: buy it, who knows. But you might buy her the thing.
- 13:33Speaker 3: You've always bought kids stuff for the birthday's Christmas, the
- 13:38Speaker 3: stuff that they would be into. Like, you buy them
- 13:40Speaker 3: and it's always the trendy.
- 13:41Speaker 2: Whatever it is, and learn from it.
- 13:43Speaker 3: But it's this, you know, it's it's not it's not
- 13:46Speaker 3: me collecting squishes?
- 13:51Speaker 6: What is it?
- 13:51Speaker 2: What's that bottle?
- 13:52Speaker 5: The like that became famous through TikTok it did. Yeah,
- 13:59Speaker 5: like through TikTok influencing and marketing, Like I researched it
- 14:04Speaker 5: because just like took off from there.
- 14:06Speaker 4: I just chat gbt' like what's the best water bottle
- 14:08Speaker 4: of blah blah blah blahlah, And I was like, oh
- 14:10Speaker 4: wala al yeah walla.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:13Speaker 3: Somebody on the text saying, can what do you share
- 14:15Speaker 3: the name of the app that limits the scream time
- 14:17Speaker 3: for the app? Yeah, it's a it's right there on
- 14:18Speaker 3: the iPhone. It's just through the iPhone. Yeah, and you
- 14:21Speaker 3: have your kids account set up under family and you
- 14:23Speaker 3: can go in there in the screen time and you
- 14:25Speaker 3: could set timeliness for certain apps. Yep, and I downtime
- 14:28Speaker 3: like so we have it set during the school year.
- 14:31Speaker 3: At whatever time, the phone basically bricks out, and the
- 14:34Speaker 3: only people that can get a hold of her or
- 14:37Speaker 3: you know, my son at that point are the people
- 14:39Speaker 3: that we have specific context, myself, my wife, our parents,
- 14:43Speaker 3: like the grandparents, things like that. It's like no no friends,
- 14:47Speaker 3: no internet, no uh or the other. The phone just
- 14:50Speaker 3: kind of bricks out when it's on quote downtime.
- 14:53Speaker 4: I have a personal question, am I in that list?
- 14:55Speaker 4: And if I am, can I be removed?
- 14:58Speaker 5: I don't know if you are on the list, but
- 15:01Speaker 5: I'll what I was trying to get to on this
- 15:04Speaker 5: whole conversation is what you just got to is a
- 15:07Speaker 5: parent being a parent, Like why is it up to
- 15:10Speaker 5: Facebook to make all these different tweaks.
- 15:13Speaker 2: And things like that?
- 15:14Speaker 3: Well, I mean, do you have full control of their phone?
- 15:17Speaker 3: I was I was reading more about this particular lawsuit,
- 15:21Speaker 3: and they are making claims about how they were looking
- 15:26Speaker 3: into things that made kids feel a certain way about themselves,
- 15:30Speaker 3: like questioning their self worth, and they found those were
- 15:35Speaker 3: the triggers that kept them watching more, and so they
- 15:38Speaker 3: started showing them more of the things like eating disorders,
- 15:41Speaker 3: and so they figured out them, Yeah, yeah, they're negging them.
- 15:44Speaker 3: And so they figured out, like, that's what would trigger
- 15:47Speaker 3: people of a certain age and right their insecurity vulnerabilities
- 15:52Speaker 3: and things like that. And so they're using them that stuff.
- 15:54Speaker 3: They're taking that content and then sending it to them
- 15:57Speaker 3: and showing them more of that stuff, which is having
- 15:59Speaker 3: this act.
- 16:00Speaker 4: And it used to be like seventeen magazine doing that.
- 16:02Speaker 3: They use the example of this eating disorder one where
- 16:04Speaker 3: they figured all this stuff out and figured out how
- 16:06Speaker 3: to maybe limit the way it gets there. But they go, well,
- 16:09Speaker 3: maybe if we just you know how people get a
- 16:11Speaker 3: They go, oh, man, this is delicious. Can you give
- 16:13Speaker 3: me the recipe? Yes, And the person sends them the recipe,
- 16:15Speaker 3: but when they make it themselves to go, well, you
- 16:17Speaker 3: know what, I really don't like cilantro and I really
- 16:20Speaker 3: don't like as much spice, so I'm gonna cut out this.
- 16:23Speaker 3: I'm gonna change this. And then before you know it,
- 16:25Speaker 3: they go, yeah, it wasn't that great, because yeah, you
- 16:27Speaker 3: left all the stuff out with this eating disorder thing.
- 16:29Speaker 3: They found all the different ways they could make it
- 16:31Speaker 3: so the kids would see less of it, and they go, well,
- 16:35Speaker 3: I guess we don't really need to do this. We
- 16:36Speaker 3: really don't need to do and maybe if we just
- 16:38Speaker 3: cut it. And so it turned out to be whether
- 16:40Speaker 3: when they were left and said and done with the
- 16:42Speaker 3: thing that they were going to implement, it didn't really
- 16:44Speaker 3: make any difference. The kids are still seen as much
- 16:47Speaker 3: of the eating disorder stuff as before, which is what
- 16:49Speaker 3: the whole argument here is.
- 16:50Speaker 4: And the other thing is like parents don't know inherently,
- 16:53Speaker 4: we don't people don't know inherently how to circumvent different
- 16:56Speaker 4: parts of your brain, like there are massive companies spending
- 16:59Speaker 4: billsllions of dollars on that we don't we can't control that.
- 17:02Speaker 2: It's it's the.
- 17:04Speaker 3: Uh, it's the argument about how in other countries kids
- 17:09Speaker 3: are only seeing like educational.
- 17:11Speaker 4: Yes, science experiments, and here we're seeing you know, oh
- 17:14Speaker 4: you're fat.
- 17:16Speaker 2: Yes, nobody likes you.
- 17:17Speaker 4: And that's limited in China because they get it well.
- 17:20Speaker 4: ABC is taking the FCC to court. Disney and ABC
- 17:24Speaker 4: filed the First Amendment lawsuit, accusing the CC of running
- 17:28Speaker 4: a politically motivated retaliatory campaign against them over its programming
- 17:33Speaker 4: and coverage of President Trump. So the FCC ordered an
- 17:36Speaker 4: unusually early review of broadcast licenses for eight ABC stations,
- 17:41Speaker 4: which ABC is arguing is the government trying to punish
- 17:44Speaker 4: them for putting shows like Jimmy Kimmel on TV. So
- 17:47Speaker 4: the FCC says the review is legitimate and tied to
- 17:50Speaker 4: whether Disney broke federal rules, including concerns over its DEI policies.
- 17:55Speaker 4: The judge is being asked to stop the license review,
- 17:58Speaker 4: and ABC says, allowing the government to punish networks over
- 18:01Speaker 4: their editorial decisions it's a very dangerous precedent, So we'll.
- 18:05Speaker 3: See how that plays out.
- 18:07Speaker 4: And the rock world lost another legend. Zz Top drummer
- 18:11Speaker 4: Frank Beard has died at seventy seven.
- 18:13Speaker 3: Was the one who didn't have a be That's exactly right,
- 18:15Speaker 3: the only.
- 18:15Speaker 4: One who didn't have a beard. He passed away Monday
- 18:18Speaker 4: at his Texas ranch with his family by his side,
- 18:20Speaker 4: after spending some time in hospice. His health had recently
- 18:24Speaker 4: gotten bad enough that zz Top was forced to cancel
- 18:27Speaker 4: its August fifth show.
- 18:28Speaker 3: At the Hollywood Bowl.
- 18:29Speaker 4: Beard played drums for zz Top for more than fifty years. Yeah,
- 18:34Speaker 4: and the band plans to keep playing because that's what
- 18:36Speaker 4: Frank said he wanted. And finally, the guy who started
- 18:41Speaker 4: ESPN has died. His game is His name, rather is
- 18:44Speaker 4: Bill Rasmussen, and he was ninety three. He died from
- 18:48Speaker 4: the effects of Parkinson's Now back in nineteen seventy eight,
- 18:51Speaker 4: he came up with the idea of a twenty four
- 18:54Speaker 4: hour sports channel.
- 18:55Speaker 3: Which it worked out. Okay, yeah, he did.
- 18:57Speaker 4: Okay. ESPN officially on the air in September of nineteen
- 19:02Speaker 4: seventy nine and became what it is today. Now. You'd
- 19:04Speaker 4: think ESPN would give him like a really nice tribute.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Oh this is hilarious.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Not so much. Yeah, well ESPN anchors they were paying
- 19:12Speaker 4: tribute to him on air. The TV feed abruptly switched
- 19:14Speaker 4: to Pat McAfee.
- 19:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:16Speaker 3: They're doing like the whole like sad tribute thing, talking about,
- 19:20Speaker 3: you know, what he did and how I came up
- 19:21Speaker 3: with the ESPN and how I got it on the air,
- 19:23Speaker 3: and they're doing the whole thing, and then incomes crashing
- 19:25Speaker 3: like the kool aid Man through the wall the Pat
- 19:28Speaker 3: McAfee show.
- 19:29Speaker 2: Wake up early to try to catch it on the news.
- 19:32Speaker 2: So now we got sports all day every day.
- 19:35Speaker 3: His legacy lives on Hello something, Welcome to Our.
- 19:42Speaker 2: God.
- 19:43Speaker 3: It's just set like on an automation switch. Yeah, so
- 19:46Speaker 3: at a certain time, just kicks right over to the
- 19:48Speaker 3: Pat McAfee feed.
- 19:49Speaker 4: Thanks to the beautiful tribute. Yeah, an hour on the
- 19:53Speaker 4: guy exactly.
- 19:54Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 19:54Speaker 3: Well, hey, it's not our fault and it's not their
- 19:56Speaker 3: fault that the anchors can't follow the clock. The clock
- 20:00Speaker 3: gives you a countdown. Yeah, it'll say four three to
- 20:04Speaker 3: like that's the end of the.
- 20:05Speaker 2: Feed, so you better wrap it up.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Yeah, he lives on Hello, Beautiful God.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like the oscars, the wrap it up music,
- 20:17Speaker 3: the swell of the orchestra.
- 20:20Speaker 7: It's not for.
- 20:21Speaker 3: Everybody, ye are probably you have to try it on.
- 20:26Speaker 3: You have to tell that the film.
- 20:30Speaker 2: Show.
- 20:33Speaker 3: Okay, I feel like it's time to be said of
- 20:38Speaker 3: Oreos as much as the next guy does. But goddamn it, Oreo,
- 20:42Speaker 3: you don't need to announce a new flavor every five minutes.
- 20:46Speaker 3: I have Oreo has a new flavor fatigue.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Yeah, totally holy.
- 20:52Speaker 3: Crapy, Like what like, what are you guys doing? Man
- 20:54Speaker 3: of the whole aisle at the store? It becomes not
- 21:00Speaker 3: special absolutely, you know, and to the point where I
- 21:03Speaker 3: don't even care anymore.
- 21:04Speaker 2: It could be my favorite flavor ever.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Has a new flavor, and I find myself tuning out,
- 21:12Speaker 3: Like there's a you know thing. Everybody does a good
- 21:14Speaker 3: job of going through news and finding things, and it
- 21:16Speaker 3: hits my desk and I'm going through it to figure
- 21:18Speaker 3: out what we're going to do each day, and I oh,
- 21:21Speaker 3: Oreo new flavors.
- 21:22Speaker 7: Now.
- 21:22Speaker 2: It's like I just almost just scroll.
- 21:24Speaker 3: Right pass flavors three hours ago. Right, Yeah, so they
- 21:29Speaker 3: have new flavors hitting the show. I always want to know,
- 21:35Speaker 3: like just because I'm not I'm just putting it out
- 21:37Speaker 3: there that I'm burned out on Oreo and new flavors, right,
- 21:42Speaker 3: but it definitely I can see appeals to a lot
- 21:45Speaker 3: of people, which is why they do it. It wasn't
- 21:47Speaker 3: Oreo in like big trouble for a minute as far
- 21:49Speaker 3: as sales went like, they were still okay, but they
- 21:52Speaker 3: were super down And that's why they started doing all
- 21:54Speaker 3: these flavors because they found that it was actually moving product,
- 21:58Speaker 3: and not even moving product on the special flavors, it
- 22:02Speaker 3: was moving the original which you know, Jeff was talking
- 22:06Speaker 3: about how he's off board with Oreo, but for a
- 22:08Speaker 3: different reason.
- 22:09Speaker 2: I'm off board because the double stuffs are no longer
- 22:12Speaker 2: double man so awful, Like.
- 22:14Speaker 3: The double stuff today are what the regulars were before.
- 22:18Speaker 9: Yeah, I'm so bummed because I used to that was
- 22:20Speaker 9: like my favorite cookie because you got you know, the
- 22:22Speaker 9: extra cream exactly.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Now it's just like a.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Well they even have Oreo thins, well not have cream.
- 22:30Speaker 4: I know, remember the mister big stuff. It was like
- 22:34Speaker 4: the giant slab of lard or whatever in the middle.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 22:40Speaker 3: So for those of you who can't get enough of
- 22:42Speaker 3: the new Oreo flavors, they got some new ones for
- 22:45Speaker 3: a limited time Banana pudding all right, No, that sounds
- 22:49Speaker 3: all right, deep fried chicken and waffles. No, uh, let's
- 22:56Speaker 3: see they also have Oh so, it's all part of
- 22:59Speaker 3: a contest. You vote on which one you like the most.
- 23:03Speaker 3: Once the votes are counted, the other ones are gone forever.
- 23:05Speaker 3: The winning flavor comes back next year.
- 23:08Speaker 4: That's the thing, man, all the time. Yeah.
- 23:11Speaker 3: The The voting runs through October. They also announced their
- 23:17Speaker 3: summer Carnival cookie tins, including flavors like hot honey, corn bread,
- 23:26Speaker 3: strawberry shortcake, Yeah, dill pickle, no, chocolate, milkshake and fries Yes,
- 23:34Speaker 3: maybe in a cookie, and lemonade and cotton candy.
- 23:37Speaker 2: I'm gonna try all of this.
- 23:39Speaker 3: Each tin comes with twelve cookies, so you get two
- 23:42Speaker 3: of each flavor twenty five bucks for the tin, and
- 23:46Speaker 3: those are available through Oreo's website while supplies.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Okay, hear me out. I'm looking at the tin. It's
- 23:51Speaker 4: kind of kiah, is it. Yeah, it looks like a
- 23:54Speaker 4: big giant Oreo, so it kind of has like a
- 23:56Speaker 4: retro vibe.
- 23:58Speaker 9: Spell out for do you guys prefer chocolate or vanilla
- 24:03Speaker 9: Oreos chocolate?
- 24:04Speaker 2: Vanilla Oreo chocolate I'll do both chocolate. Is anybody over
- 24:11Speaker 2: the age of nine do they like cotton candy? Can
- 24:15Speaker 2: we get real? Does anybody no?
- 24:17Speaker 7: Like? No?
- 24:17Speaker 3: Cotton candy is a hot, hot flavor for kids. Yeah,
- 24:21Speaker 3: I mean, but like they'll have cotton candy ice cream? Yeah?
- 24:25Speaker 3: Has cotton candy ice Oh?
- 24:28Speaker 2: Do they? Yeah?
- 24:29Speaker 3: It just means a Loni drinks. There's there's a cotton candy,
- 24:33Speaker 3: a Lani flavor. You know whatever that is? Is that
- 24:37Speaker 3: an energy drink? That's an energy drink? Right, Alan, ladies,
- 24:40Speaker 3: there you go. That's the other thing the fourteen year
- 24:42Speaker 3: old girls are really into, like my daughter and all
- 24:44Speaker 3: her friends.
- 24:45Speaker 5: Yeah, dudes, get down on it too. That's like the
- 24:49Speaker 5: hot drink a long.
- 24:51Speaker 3: You guys should bring different varieties of oreos into the
- 24:54Speaker 3: studio and taste everything yourself.
- 24:55Speaker 2: What a great idea.
- 24:57Speaker 4: Write that down?
- 24:59Speaker 2: That would be crazy.
- 25:02Speaker 3: I think that's the thing that we've done so many
- 25:04Speaker 3: of those, and we just can't keep up with the
- 25:06Speaker 3: amount of announcements from oreo.
- 25:08Speaker 4: I wonder I'm gonna say menace and woody on this one.
- 25:11Speaker 4: If you're blindfolded, would you be able to taste the
- 25:14Speaker 4: difference between an oreo and a hydrox.
- 25:16Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah, Like the hydros is denser. Yeah, like
- 25:20Speaker 3: the cookie itself is less. I don't know, Like the
- 25:24Speaker 3: oreo cookie is a little more and more crumbly, more light. Uh,
- 25:27Speaker 3: the density of the hydrox cookie, the hydrox cookie was
- 25:31Speaker 3: what gives it away. I would know by mouthfeel immediately. Whoah,
- 25:36Speaker 3: you're either fat more formally fat hydrox mouthfeel.
- 25:48Speaker 1: Well.
- 25:48Speaker 3: There's a story in news this woman in Florida. She
- 25:53Speaker 3: was making a run to seven eleven, but I guess
- 25:56Speaker 3: driving herself was just too much work, so she put
- 25:59Speaker 3: her a eleven year old behind the wheel, fine, I know,
- 26:05Speaker 3: and let the kid drive them there instead. Now everything
- 26:09Speaker 3: was going fine until they got close to the seven eleven.
- 26:12Speaker 3: The kid actually accidentally hit the gas instead of the brake,
- 26:16Speaker 3: and the car crashed into a concrete barrier, so the
- 26:20Speaker 3: cops were called. According to the report, the mom was,
- 26:23Speaker 3: what do you say, drunk or sober?
- 26:24Speaker 2: Greg, Let's go with drunk.
- 26:26Speaker 3: No, totally sober, had a valid driver's license, the whole thing.
- 26:30Speaker 3: No reason why she couldn't have driven herself other than
- 26:32Speaker 3: just being a really cool mom.
- 26:33Speaker 2: You know, I agree.
- 26:35Speaker 3: So she was arrested and taken to jail trying to
- 26:39Speaker 3: be fine. Come on, can't be leaved. You can't let
- 26:43Speaker 3: your eleven year old drive man to reach the pedals.
- 26:45Speaker 2: You got to learn at some point when you're of aight.
- 26:49Speaker 2: I mean, I know I know that to be true.
- 26:51Speaker 4: But how old were you?
- 26:52Speaker 7: Greg?
- 26:53Speaker 2: Twelve? Well?
- 26:54Speaker 3: Okay, so yeah, but he was also giving his drunk parents.
- 26:58Speaker 4: He was designator.
- 27:00Speaker 2: And what's safer that or having a drunk parent?
- 27:02Speaker 9: Mm?
- 27:04Speaker 2: I think I was the safe option there.
- 27:06Speaker 3: You know, that's actually a really good question.
- 27:09Speaker 2: And I wonder what would be the safer an experienced driver,
- 27:14Speaker 2: sure drunk slower compaired, or someone who has absolutely no
- 27:19Speaker 2: idea what the hell they're doing. But I did have
- 27:20Speaker 2: an idea what I was doing. It would have never
- 27:22Speaker 2: asked me that, because well, because I had driven before,
- 27:25Speaker 2: and there's certain things I had done that my parents
- 27:27Speaker 2: didn't even know I had done. My aunt would always
- 27:29Speaker 2: teach me. She taught me to drive a stick when
- 27:31Speaker 2: I was thirteen out in the world, not you know,
- 27:34Speaker 2: at a mall park, and I remember, this is how
- 27:38Speaker 2: you teach kids, You just do it. I was at
- 27:40Speaker 2: a stop sign and I was in third instead of first,
- 27:43Speaker 2: and you can't go into a moving position from third,
- 27:47Speaker 2: and I'm oh my god, I can't go. There's a
- 27:48Speaker 2: bunch of cars behind me. You need to take over,
- 27:51Speaker 2: And she said no, she just sat there. Go figure
- 27:53Speaker 2: it out. Oh my, she said, I think you might
- 27:55Speaker 2: be in third, So I put it in first and
- 27:57Speaker 2: next thing, you know, I'm an awesome driver.
- 28:00Speaker 4: But she sounds like a badass.
- 28:01Speaker 2: She was bad.
- 28:02Speaker 3: Okay, then, other than having very irresponsible family members in
- 28:06Speaker 3: your life, it's like the average kid, right, the average
- 28:09Speaker 3: kid who you know has no real experience.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Sure, yeah, but like driving is like that's the thing.
- 28:18Speaker 2: Maybe it's because I've been doing it for so long,
- 28:20Speaker 2: but driving is it's really not that hard.
- 28:23Speaker 3: It's it's not that it's not that hard. We're talking
- 28:25Speaker 3: about the experience needed to know what to do in
- 28:28Speaker 3: certain situations.
- 28:30Speaker 4: Or I do have all your factors think about.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Never done it right, I do agree, but I do
- 28:34Speaker 2: think it's intuitive.
- 28:34Speaker 3: Yeah, what is technically the safer option that's a drunk adult?
- 28:40Speaker 3: Depending on how drunk we're talking about, what if you're
- 28:43Speaker 3: like point.
- 28:44Speaker 4: Nine, Yeah, they're still conscious for sure.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, not twice illegal limit or anything. But someone
- 28:52Speaker 3: who's been driving for thirty years, who is technically.
- 28:56Speaker 2: We're talking a dinner party way basically wasted. Okay, I'd
- 29:02Speaker 2: probably go with the drunk parent.
- 29:04Speaker 9: What no twelve year old I grew up just because
- 29:06Speaker 9: of the experience, I think the twelve year old has
- 29:08Speaker 9: a tendency to freak out.
- 29:10Speaker 3: Probably, I don't endorse either one. Yes, of course, of
- 29:14Speaker 3: this stupid argument that endorse both hypothetical.
- 29:19Speaker 8: Yeah, I think the twelve year old would be more
- 29:21Speaker 8: cautious because they're scared. So even if they got in
- 29:23Speaker 8: an accident, it would be the car would be going slow,
- 29:26Speaker 8: so it wouldn't be as damaging with the drum.
- 29:30Speaker 2: It might be going fast. But I'm also the drunks
- 29:31Speaker 2: on the road.
- 29:32Speaker 3: It's like, dude, you're on a highway here, the speed
- 29:35Speaker 3: limits fifty five mile an hour and you're going forty. Yeah,
- 29:39Speaker 3: but go carts when you're a kid, like you're trained,
- 29:43Speaker 3: you know how to do it.
- 29:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:44Speaker 3: It's like, by the time I was able to get
- 29:46Speaker 3: in a car, I'm like, oh, this is so easy.
- 29:49Speaker 2: That might sound extreme, like you said, oh, yeah, totally,
- 29:52Speaker 2: it's not that much different. It's not. You didn't have
- 29:55Speaker 2: to go to go karts school.
- 29:56Speaker 1: You just.
- 29:58Speaker 4: Like going through file line, like, it's not the freeway
- 30:02Speaker 4: if you want to.
- 30:02Speaker 5: Like the go car track that I grabbed next to,
- 30:05Speaker 5: it was like actual like turns, yeah right, like that.
- 30:07Speaker 5: You didn't go in a circle. It was like around
- 30:09Speaker 5: the actual track.
- 30:10Speaker 2: And you didn't say, oh, I don't know how to wheel.
- 30:14Speaker 5: When I got into a car that was a stick shift,
- 30:16Speaker 5: now that was a whole different story. Like yeah, like
- 30:19Speaker 5: learning how to like parallel park or go in it's crazy,
- 30:23Speaker 5: you know what I'm.
- 30:24Speaker 4: Going twelve year old, you've convinced me because twelve year
- 30:27Speaker 4: olds care. They don't. They're not like like I see
- 30:30Speaker 4: white lights coming at me. That's funny. Like they actually
- 30:33Speaker 4: would move to the occasion. Yes, I think so.
- 30:35Speaker 2: And this was a residential neighborhood, it wasn't We weren't
- 30:38Speaker 2: going on the freeways and stuff.
- 30:40Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, I'm going to It was very safe
- 30:42Speaker 4: and very far.
- 30:43Speaker 3: I picked Greg one of my favorite memories. Although there
- 30:47Speaker 3: are people who are stone cold sober, it's amazing. We
- 30:50Speaker 3: talked about how easy driving is and people who've been
- 30:52Speaker 3: doing for a while, like house of so many people
- 30:54Speaker 3: still don't know how to drive who had been driving
- 30:56Speaker 3: for so long? Yeah, what what the effort you're doing.
- 30:58Speaker 4: It was like backup cameras people every day.
- 31:00Speaker 6: I know.
- 31:01Speaker 3: Yeah, I watched somebody make a forty point turn to
- 31:05Speaker 3: get out of a parking spot. I'm like, you have
- 31:06Speaker 3: no idea where the edges of your car. Oh, I'm
- 31:09Speaker 3: like that, you don't know where the car ends and begins.
- 31:12Speaker 3: Like I'm like, you've got another four feet behind you
- 31:15Speaker 3: that you can use to back up and make this
- 31:17Speaker 3: turn out of here and get out of my way,
- 31:20Speaker 3: But nope, you're doing like you ever see that guy
- 31:22Speaker 3: who got the golf cart stuck in the in the
- 31:25Speaker 3: stadium in like the one of the corridors inside the stadium,
- 31:30Speaker 3: and it's like a thousand back for, back for and
- 31:34Speaker 3: back forth, just trying to get this thing turned around.
- 31:36Speaker 2: Yeah, it was like that.
- 31:37Speaker 3: There's a woman in the parking lot and she was like,
- 31:39Speaker 3: I don't know sixty, but like, how do you not
- 31:44Speaker 3: know at this point? Safe driving for decades? So it's
- 31:47Speaker 3: quote so easy, Like how have you not figured it
- 31:50Speaker 3: out by now? Also with backup cameras, like we learned
- 31:53Speaker 3: without backup cameras, it's so much more easier.
- 31:57Speaker 4: Well, and it's Sammy, you don't have backup cameras. I
- 31:59Speaker 4: don't know, and I'm like that.
- 32:00Speaker 3: I'm really bad. I can't eat it.
- 32:02Speaker 2: Your eyesight is jacked.
- 32:03Speaker 4: Where the my car is?
- 32:04Speaker 8: I don't know where the back of my car is.
- 32:06Speaker 8: I have no clue how close I am to anything.
- 32:09Speaker 8: But I have really bad eyes and poor depth perceptions.
- 32:13Speaker 4: Twelve year old, so I don't see everyone else.
- 32:17Speaker 2: Sammy doesn't navigate with the sound on. She looks at
- 32:20Speaker 2: the phone every I was about to swear. Every five
- 32:24Speaker 2: seconds she's looking at her phone. Sammy, just put the
- 32:27Speaker 2: volume on so it'll tell you where to turns. I
- 32:29Speaker 2: don't like listening to it.
- 32:30Speaker 4: I don't know. I hate the voice.
- 32:33Speaker 2: This is a great text. Children used to work and
- 32:35Speaker 2: run factories, thank you. Yeah, they still do make the
- 32:39Speaker 2: iPhones right, show up work drunk too.
- 32:43Speaker 4: So functioning?
- 32:45Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, I mean it's look, it's it's a thought.
- 32:48Speaker 3: I understand. Yeah, But that was in the in the
- 32:51Speaker 3: time that you were talking about. I mean, I guess
- 32:54Speaker 3: there were cabs. There were like old timey taxi casual.
- 32:58Speaker 3: But now, I mean it's so easy. Yeah, Now there's
- 33:01Speaker 3: an uber rightlyft right, like call a friend. You have
- 33:06Speaker 3: a phone right there in your pocket. I need any
- 33:08Speaker 3: any change for the payphone. There's no reason to spend friends.
- 33:13Speaker 3: You don't need your eleven year old to drive.
- 33:15Speaker 2: You, especially this woman who was sober all right.
- 33:18Speaker 3: Eight seven seven forty four text us over to two
- 33:21Speaker 3: two nine eight seven more what he shows next? The
- 33:24Speaker 3: Woody Show.
- 33:28Speaker 4: There was this model, this legit fitness model that I
- 33:32Speaker 4: worked with, and he was super hot, and so I
- 33:34Speaker 4: thought like it would be the ultimate power move to
- 33:36Speaker 4: bang him, and I did. And then instead of him
- 33:40Speaker 4: telling everyone, I told everyone because I thought that would
- 33:43Speaker 4: make me look cool. And it caused a ton of problems,
- 33:46Speaker 4: and then he got fired The Woody Show.
- 33:49Speaker 3: Great, got a man fired.
- 33:51Speaker 4: Yeah, I was young, was dumb.
- 33:54Speaker 2: How young was he?
- 33:56Speaker 4: He was a little older, like he was, he was
- 33:58Speaker 4: probably thirty.
- 34:00Speaker 2: I'll say, if you're gross in your twenties, I'm saying,
- 34:03Speaker 2: but like, if you're in your twenties, like you might
- 34:05Speaker 2: go yeah, but I got laid.
- 34:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I think he needed like yeah, wouldn't care.
- 34:10Speaker 3: About yeah once you're in your thirties or whatever, Like
- 34:11Speaker 3: I don't. I don't know if I getting a little
- 34:14Speaker 3: it's worth losing. Yeah, when you're a younger man, Yeah,
- 34:18Speaker 3: maybe I'm all right, there is the Woodie Show, Woody,
- 34:22Speaker 3: Greg Menace, Gina Grad Yeah, SeaBASS, do you have any
- 34:27Speaker 3: updates sports you? You had mentioned that you got that
- 34:29Speaker 3: settlement money from that lawsuit against the company that was
- 34:32Speaker 3: supposed to collect the signatures so that we were running
- 34:34Speaker 3: for city council and he got what sixteen thousand dollars
- 34:38Speaker 3: sixteen grand I'm rounding it up to sixteen to be
- 34:40Speaker 3: nice anyway. So then he he came on the air
- 34:42Speaker 3: and said that he is willing to entertain some suggestions,
- 34:46Speaker 3: some pitches, much like Shark Tank for what to do
- 34:49Speaker 3: with that money and if you come up with a
- 34:51Speaker 3: good idea. I mean, this money is in play. Have
- 34:54Speaker 3: you gotten any decent suggestions yet? We've got a lot actually,
- 34:57Speaker 3: and yeah we'll get still. I mean there have been
- 34:59Speaker 3: a lot of and good ones, I would say.
- 35:02Speaker 10: So email at thewoodieshow dot com people are texting and
- 35:05Speaker 10: wondering where to send them. That way we don't lose
- 35:07Speaker 10: it in the text.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Now. A lot of them are not great. They're like,
- 35:10Speaker 3: just spot put your logo on my coffee cup or
- 35:14Speaker 3: my you know, food truck, or one he wants to
- 35:17Speaker 3: sponsor his Luchador wrestling ship.
- 35:19Speaker 10: Oh okay, sounds all you ever talked about. Yeah, so
- 35:25Speaker 10: those are those are generic ones. And again I said,
- 35:27Speaker 10: this is not to be Cartonarks related. It could be
- 35:28Speaker 10: literally anything. Think think of what people bring to shark tank.
- 35:31Speaker 10: So Greg, here's one, speaking of which make cartnarks t shirts.
- 35:36Speaker 10: Check out cartnarks dot com. Here's an interesting one, Greg,
- 35:39Speaker 10: that I am actually intrigued by.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Come come in with me on building your own shrimp farm.
- 35:49Speaker 3: Oh this is this is in northwest Arkansas.
- 35:54Speaker 2: So they want like yours would give you forty of
- 35:58Speaker 2: the shrimp farm.
- 35:59Speaker 10: Right, And this is Ay, who apparently has some experience
- 36:02Speaker 10: with aquaculture, and igued. I've seen these in like they'll
- 36:06Speaker 10: take warehouses and they'll put big pools in there that
- 36:09Speaker 10: different shrimp go from one to the other, and they
- 36:11Speaker 10: feed them different things and then you basically, as Greg
- 36:14Speaker 10: is worried about over.
- 36:15Speaker 2: Shrimping, got a fresh shrimps.
- 36:17Speaker 3: I thought of Greg. Just yesterday, I saw a news
- 36:20Speaker 3: story where there was a Calamari truck that overturned and
- 36:23Speaker 3: there was I mean they were they were having to
- 36:24Speaker 3: pick it up with front end loaders. There's yeah, it's
- 36:28Speaker 3: all gone. I'm like well, there goes the world supply
- 36:31Speaker 3: of calamari.
- 36:32Speaker 2: And think of all the squid that died for nothing.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Oh no, week, that's awful.
- 36:35Speaker 10: Yeah, he says, a shrimp mature from Larva to harvesize
- 36:38Speaker 10: in just five to six months. He wants to use
- 36:40Speaker 10: vertilized vertical water stacks, et cetera, et cetera, and sixteen
- 36:44Speaker 10: dollars forty nine percent of.
- 36:46Speaker 2: The sixteen thousand. I'm sixteen thousand. Now.
- 36:49Speaker 3: The only problem is I don't live anywhere near northwest Arkansas.
- 36:51Speaker 10: And I would like to be well, you're an angel
- 36:53Speaker 10: that silent partner. Yeah, potentially, so, I mean that's see,
- 36:56Speaker 10: that's outside the box.
- 36:57Speaker 2: You also don't know if that's legit, right, Yeah? Can
- 37:00Speaker 2: I research? So that's interesting. This one was fun.
- 37:04Speaker 3: I would like sixty five hundred dollars for my guynicomastia surgery.
- 37:08Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I'm chopped off.
- 37:11Speaker 10: I don't hate that. That's again, it's not the spirit
- 37:14Speaker 10: of what I'm doing, that's this charity. But I know
- 37:17Speaker 10: a guy who I knew, a guy we called him
- 37:19Speaker 10: I'll say it now. His name was Andrew Doherty. In college.
- 37:22Speaker 2: We called him d Cups because.
- 37:25Speaker 4: At least you didn't call him what they call him
- 37:26Speaker 4: in fight club.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, I mean Mendice has been talking about
- 37:30Speaker 3: that for years. Yeah, I want to reduction.
- 37:32Speaker 2: Because it's some dudes forget the fatness.
- 37:34Speaker 10: Some dudes just have them. I don't hate that. By
- 37:38Speaker 10: the way, I didn't get any asking for just breast
- 37:41Speaker 10: implants from ladies. Duh, easy putt probably would have given
- 37:44Speaker 10: that one. That's so that was interesting though. Now this
- 37:47Speaker 10: one really caught my mind. I'm a professional cuddler and
- 37:51Speaker 10: intimacy coach. I'd like to create a garden with your
- 37:55Speaker 10: money to offer cuddling sessions and outdoor garden.
- 38:00Speaker 4: Why would we need money for that just going in
- 38:02Speaker 4: your backyard?
- 38:02Speaker 2: Well, but you need to play.
- 38:03Speaker 3: You need to have a dedicated area with proper plant
- 38:06Speaker 3: and foliage.
- 38:07Speaker 2: Have you ever bought a fruitless olive tree?
- 38:09Speaker 10: There?
- 38:09Speaker 2: Billion?
- 38:10Speaker 7: Okay?
- 38:10Speaker 4: Can you imagine the bass going to sample the wares
- 38:13Speaker 4: at the cuddle party.
- 38:14Speaker 2: Well, here's the thing.
- 38:15Speaker 10: That's why I like this because as the investor, I
- 38:18Speaker 10: get all access. Because that's the problem. Was like, how
- 38:21Speaker 10: can we send the best to a couple party? They'll
- 38:23Speaker 10: kick him out. Not if I'm on the place. People, girl,
- 38:30Speaker 10: it's well, their name is Crystal with a sea, so
- 38:32Speaker 10: probably a girl that who knows.
- 38:34Speaker 3: I've always wanted to people actually go to things like that.
- 38:36Speaker 4: I had an old coworker who they called them puppy piles,
- 38:41Speaker 4: and they they were cuddle parties, and it is what
- 38:44Speaker 4: you think it is, like laying on the floor.
- 38:46Speaker 3: People show up for them, and they were called puppy piles.
- 38:48Speaker 2: So is it with the idea that there's going to
- 38:51Speaker 2: be more to it?
- 38:52Speaker 3: No?
- 38:52Speaker 4: And these were from what I remember him telling you,
- 38:55Speaker 4: these were all gay men and they just wanted to
- 38:57Speaker 4: be sort of together, you know, greg.
- 39:00Speaker 2: Would lead to or anything we.
- 39:04Speaker 3: Called fretage, and it's basically it's it's dry humping essentially. Yeah,
- 39:08Speaker 3: what's the what's the van that people have been talking
- 39:11Speaker 3: about in the office? U the bush van?
- 39:14Speaker 2: Or what is the eleva van?
- 39:15Speaker 3: Vulva van?
- 39:16Speaker 4: Yeah, like I would do it in a heartbeat, you would, yes,
- 39:19Speaker 4: of course.
- 39:20Speaker 2: What does it do?
- 39:21Speaker 4: It's the mobile waxing and like they juld you up
- 39:24Speaker 4: and everything.
- 39:25Speaker 2: They just show up.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's waxing. But they called it the vulva van.
- 39:29Speaker 4: It rules, So you know what it is?
- 39:31Speaker 3: I wonder Okay, so it's a thing. Sure, anybody can
- 39:33Speaker 3: start a thing. You could start a cuddling business. Sure,
- 39:36Speaker 3: but do you have any customers?
- 39:37Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 39:38Speaker 5: I was part of an interview where we interviewed one
- 39:40Speaker 5: of the guys who was a cuddler and he was
- 39:44Speaker 5: a straight guy and and I'm like, dude, come on,
- 39:46Speaker 5: and you don't really want to help people. He's like, no, dude,
- 39:49Speaker 5: it's like therapeutic and like you just want to hug
- 39:52Speaker 5: up on a bunch of chicks.
- 39:53Speaker 4: But they have rules, like especially if you're a female cuddler,
- 39:56Speaker 4: like if you you know, if the guy gets a
- 39:57Speaker 4: little excited, like I'm going to remove myself one minute,
- 40:01Speaker 4: Like they have to get really specific.
- 40:03Speaker 10: I'm questioning how this woman listens to our show because
- 40:07Speaker 10: everything she's about we hate, God bless her, I appreciate.
- 40:11Speaker 10: Now here's the thing, Well, she needs something, she needs
- 40:13Speaker 10: your money, and she says, really a good offer here
- 40:16Speaker 10: besides building the place, willing to offer huddling services for two.
- 40:21Speaker 2: Years for me personally, uh and coaching.
- 40:25Speaker 10: Up to five years, three to five events slash classes
- 40:28Speaker 10: per month upon setup of the space. So I get
- 40:31Speaker 10: three acts. I get access to all the weirdos. Yeah,
- 40:34Speaker 10: now this person, this Crystal lady, will probably hate me
- 40:37Speaker 10: after two seconds.
- 40:38Speaker 2: Yeah, I'll be making fun of everybody but I But
- 40:40Speaker 2: this is interesting. So the money would be used for
- 40:43Speaker 2: the physical garden, like right to get the garden ready,
- 40:46Speaker 2: all that stuff. Okay, I'm going shrimp farm, dude. So far,
- 40:49Speaker 2: shrimp farm sounds interesting because maybe this would be a
- 40:52Speaker 2: legit business half of it. I've seen videos of actual
- 40:55Speaker 2: shrimp farms. They exist.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Yeah, don't you have to get like permitted license to
- 40:59Speaker 3: be able to sell it?
- 41:00Speaker 7: Then?
- 41:00Speaker 3: So you can anybody can, like eggs, get away with
- 41:03Speaker 3: this stuff together and raise shrimp. But you can't then
- 41:06Speaker 3: turn around and sell it without the proper right. So, like,
- 41:09Speaker 3: what would that take?
- 41:09Speaker 2: But it's northwest Arkansas, sure, it's real America. Just one
- 41:15Speaker 2: of those tanks would cost more than sixteen.
- 41:17Speaker 4: Have the guy send you the pitch with the full plants.
- 41:19Speaker 3: Thirty two thousand, it's forty nine percent. He's getting no tanks.
- 41:24Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 41:24Speaker 10: These are the systems measured twenty three feet by fourteen
- 41:26Speaker 10: feet by eight feet. Men's out a climate control metal building.
- 41:29Speaker 10: Blah blah blah blah blah.
- 41:32Speaker 5: There's actually one of these, not too far from the station.
- 41:34Speaker 5: I'm sure we can talk to him to verify this guy.
- 41:37Speaker 10: Right, Yeah, so I'm interested, but I'm not finalized on
- 41:40Speaker 10: any of these yet, so feel free to keep in comments.
- 41:42Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 41:43Speaker 3: So, if you have an idea for something that maybe
- 41:46Speaker 3: Sea Bass can get involved with with his sixteen thousand dollars,
- 41:50Speaker 3: it's up for grabs.
- 41:50Speaker 2: Take money. Yeah, send us the email.
- 41:52Speaker 3: I would guess that a deadline for submission. Yeah, well,
- 41:55Speaker 3: you want to say labor labor day before labor day, sure,
- 41:58Speaker 3: let's just say labor day. Yeah, all right, so yeah,
- 42:01Speaker 3: between now and labor day, get your suggestions over, make
- 42:04Speaker 3: your pitches. You can send it through the email. That
- 42:07Speaker 3: seems to be the best way to do it. That way,
- 42:08Speaker 3: we don't lose it in the text because yeah text, Yeah,
- 42:11Speaker 3: a lot of text come through. I mean, just send
- 42:13Speaker 3: the email.
- 42:14Speaker 2: Now.
- 42:14Speaker 3: The email here is email at the woodieshow dot com.
- 42:17Speaker 3: So email at the woodieshow dot com. Send your pitches.
- 42:20Speaker 3: Sea Bass will see them. You have until labor day
- 42:23Speaker 3: to get those in and uh, and then we'll figure
- 42:25Speaker 3: out who is lucky enough to get into business with
- 42:29Speaker 3: Sea Bass. All right, partner up on the cuddle business
- 42:33Speaker 3: and the cuddling shrimp business. All right, well, who's gonna play?
- 42:42Speaker 3: We have a round of the smart Ass Game, Sammy
- 42:47Speaker 3: and Menace. Well, Jeff it again, Jeff, Jeff hasn't played.
- 42:53Speaker 2: Yeah, all right.
- 42:55Speaker 3: So the way the game works is I have I
- 42:58Speaker 3: have these different category to what where right, and then
- 43:02Speaker 3: I start giving you clues and they start real generic,
- 43:06Speaker 3: and then they get more specific as it goes on,
- 43:08Speaker 3: and you just want to be the first person to
- 43:10Speaker 3: buzz in and give me the correct answer. That's a point.
- 43:13Speaker 3: First person to two points wins. Okay, all right, it's
- 43:17Speaker 3: it's it's an actual board game that you can, you know,
- 43:20Speaker 3: buy like one of those party games, and it is
- 43:22Speaker 3: called the smart Ass Game.
- 43:23Speaker 11: Right.
- 43:24Speaker 3: He's got a big donkey on the front of it.
- 43:26Speaker 2: You buzzed in with your name. I was gonna ask you,
- 43:28Speaker 2: I buzzed.
- 43:28Speaker 7: In my name.
- 43:29Speaker 2: Whatever.
- 43:30Speaker 3: So, you know, as we get to know Jeff Jeff
- 43:32Speaker 3: is I think I think Jeff's a very sharp guy.
- 43:34Speaker 3: He's definitely very good with you know, when it comes
- 43:36Speaker 3: to his professional responsibility. He's a very responsible guy. He's
- 43:40Speaker 3: very he's very task oriented.
- 43:42Speaker 2: He's on it.
- 43:42Speaker 3: He's on it. But Jeff, I don't consider myself to
- 43:46Speaker 3: be a very intelligent person. Like I'm a hard worker,
- 43:49Speaker 3: but I'm not really smart, right, But like, Jeff, would
- 43:55Speaker 3: you consider yourself to be a smart person?
- 43:58Speaker 9: Not necessarily. I do have a lot of useless information
- 44:01Speaker 9: in my brain. Yeah, so that might help in this situation.
- 44:04Speaker 9: But yeah, I don't consider myself necessarily a smart when it.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Comes like watching like, uh, you know Jeopardy or you know,
- 44:10Speaker 3: even like the the d uy Q, Like do you
- 44:13Speaker 3: found yourself like knowing most of the answers or like
- 44:16Speaker 3: hanging in with everybody else?
- 44:18Speaker 9: Yeah, I do put it well. And actually me and
- 44:20Speaker 9: my son watch Jeopardy at least like three nights a week.
- 44:22Speaker 2: Yeah, so all right, I think the first round of
- 44:25Speaker 2: Jeopardy is doable. Yeah, double Jeopardy, Yeah, it's gotten pretty
- 44:29Speaker 2: pop culture. Final Jeopardy almost impossible, I possible? Yeah?
- 44:33Speaker 3: Yeah, So who do we Who do we put against Jeff,
- 44:37Speaker 3: Jeff and Sammy or Tyler? Tyler hasn't played much?
- 44:41Speaker 2: Has he?
- 44:42Speaker 4: He played once against Morgan? I think that was it, okay,
- 44:46Speaker 4: but he did what I think he won.
- 44:47Speaker 2: Yeah, you want to talk about a ton of useless.
- 44:49Speaker 4: So that actually might be a good matchup.
- 44:53Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, so we'll have a We'll have Tyler
- 44:56Speaker 3: and Jeff, and again it's who what where? And then
- 45:01Speaker 3: the clues start very jerking meal at bar trivia. Ever
- 45:03Speaker 3: seen that, Jeff, like you go and they give you
- 45:05Speaker 3: a little it's like a multiple choice. There's no multiple
- 45:08Speaker 3: choice here some you know, it's not like you already
- 45:10Speaker 3: know what one of the answers are gonna be. But
- 45:12Speaker 3: it just gets more until like the end, it's like, uh,
- 45:15Speaker 3: the first president of the United States with the initials G.
- 45:20Speaker 3: It gets very very obvious.
- 45:23Speaker 4: But also, I think and SeaBASS remind people of the
- 45:26Speaker 4: rule that if you if you get it wrong, then
- 45:30Speaker 4: the other person gets a free guess on the next.
- 45:32Speaker 3: Right, because otherwise you're just out and right coast to victory. Yes, exactly,
- 45:36Speaker 3: all right, so it's the first person to two points,
- 45:38Speaker 3: all right, the tyler are you ready?
- 45:41Speaker 2: Name? Okay? All right? With your name? Jeff? Okay?
- 45:45Speaker 3: Yeah, uh, all right, Jeff? Who what or where?
- 45:50Speaker 2: You pick?
- 45:54Speaker 3: Who? Who?
- 45:56Speaker 2: All right?
- 45:58Speaker 3: We are a group of early explorers. We traveled the
- 46:03Speaker 3: Atlantic in the ninth to eleventh centuries. We traveled by
- 46:10Speaker 3: ship from our northern port. We discovered Greenland and Iceland,
- 46:16Speaker 3: Jeff Jeff Vikings. The answer is Vikings. Easy, Tyler, You're
- 46:23Speaker 3: kind I was way overthinking it. I was thinking of
- 46:27Speaker 3: those crusader dudes that's to wear. I worked in radio
- 46:33Speaker 3: for thirty plus years. That's a really interesting you know.
- 46:35Speaker 2: I usually wear hats, and I don't like how they
- 46:37Speaker 2: feel above my hat, so I usually wear them on
- 46:39Speaker 2: the side.
- 46:40Speaker 3: And the temple. That's interesting. Yeah, just in case you
- 46:42Speaker 3: need to hear through the temple and brain waves, I
- 46:46Speaker 3: would say you might want to hear.
- 46:47Speaker 2: The clues there, you know, yeah, clearly, you know.
- 46:49Speaker 3: All right. Uh, that's one point for Jeff in this
- 46:53Speaker 3: round of the Smartest game. Tyler, What or where am I?
- 46:57Speaker 2: Let's go? Where where am I?
- 47:00Speaker 3: Allright, here we go. I am an African country. Good luck.
- 47:04Speaker 3: I was invaded by Mussolini. Ty Tyler. Morocco. Morocco is incorrect.
- 47:13Speaker 3: I have my own alphabet. I am thought to be
- 47:18Speaker 3: the birthplace of coffee. You can come back in, Tyler. Yeah,
- 47:23Speaker 3: so now you're back in Teft. Flower is used to
- 47:26Speaker 3: make my national dish.
- 47:28Speaker 2: Everyone knows that one.
- 47:31Speaker 3: Bad weather and war have caused my food shortages.
- 47:35Speaker 2: Tyler.
- 47:35Speaker 3: Tyler, Tunisia Tunisia is incorrect that we're out of the
- 47:41Speaker 3: last clue here, Jeff, I don't know where am I
- 47:45Speaker 3: with the initial Ethiopia. Ethiopia is the boys?
- 47:52Speaker 2: Damn all right, I would have said, I would have said,
- 47:56Speaker 2: I never would have guessed Ethiopia.
- 47:58Speaker 4: Yeah, the affected their food.
- 48:00Speaker 3: Yeah, that went to uh, that went to Jeff g
- 48:03Speaker 3: he got two points.
- 48:04Speaker 2: I didn't know or Ethiopia was invaded by Mussolini.
- 48:07Speaker 3: Yeah, but now you do.
- 48:09Speaker 10: I'll give Tyler credit. Those first two were both both
- 48:11Speaker 10: North African countries.
- 48:13Speaker 2: That's why I was thinking. So I never would have
- 48:14Speaker 2: thought Ethiopia, which is way on the.
- 48:16Speaker 3: You've impressed sea bass educated guesses.
- 48:23Speaker 2: Pizza? Cool?
- 48:25Speaker 3: All right, maybe's day but yeah, alright, let's do uh.
- 48:31Speaker 2: I thought that was why he invaded because they had pizza.
- 48:35Speaker 2: Let's do uh.
- 48:35Speaker 3: Let's do Menace and Tyler on this next one. All right,
- 48:40Speaker 3: I mean they're bud buddies. Maybe they'll shore we're kissing brothers. Yeah, exactly,
- 48:45Speaker 3: all right, Menace?
- 48:47Speaker 2: Who what or where?
- 48:49Speaker 11: Uh?
- 48:51Speaker 2: Let's go with where again? Where? Okay?
- 48:56Speaker 3: I am a place in California mm hmm. I can
- 49:00Speaker 3: be crowded with tourists in the summer. Many of My
- 49:04Speaker 3: roads are closed in winter for safety. I cover almost
- 49:10Speaker 3: one thousand, two hundred square miles. I am one of
- 49:15Speaker 3: America's well known national parks. Ansel Adams photographed me in
- 49:22Speaker 3: black and white. I know, yeah, where am I? With
- 49:30Speaker 3: the initials Y n P? Menace, menace you said me,
- 49:41Speaker 3: say it right, but we know you met. Keep going?
- 49:45Speaker 4: You send me, Yeah, what's the full initials?
- 49:48Speaker 2: Wait? Y and p uh?
- 49:52Speaker 3: You send me in National park? What are you talking about?
- 49:54Speaker 3: What's what's the name of it? You send many national
- 49:58Speaker 3: semi national park?
- 50:01Speaker 2: Rational, you.
- 50:03Speaker 3: Send me there's that guy in the Bugs Bunny cartoons
- 50:07Speaker 3: with the guns and the big.
- 50:09Speaker 12: Uh.
- 50:10Speaker 2: You send me Sam.
- 50:14Speaker 4: You send me, okay, centipede.
- 50:20Speaker 2: That's it. That's it, all right.
- 50:23Speaker 3: I don't think anybody picked a what am I? So however,
- 50:25Speaker 3: this next one, we're just gonna go with what am
- 50:26Speaker 3: I to even it out little bit. All right, here
- 50:28Speaker 3: we go, guys. Yeah, one point for menace?
- 50:33Speaker 2: Yeah, come on?
- 50:36Speaker 3: What am I?
- 50:36Speaker 7: I am?
- 50:37Speaker 3: A communication aid. I hang out mostly in the digital world.
- 50:43Speaker 3: I do not relate to corn beef or illegal substances.
- 50:49Speaker 3: My shape looks like a tic tac toe board.
- 50:54Speaker 2: Tyler. I am a tyler what's a hashtag?
- 50:57Speaker 3: Hashtag is correct?
- 50:59Speaker 2: I said, hashtag is? But what is it? Though?
- 51:02Speaker 7: What is?
- 51:04Speaker 4: And what's another word?
- 51:07Speaker 3: Ole? Person on the outside? Number the number number sign
- 51:12Speaker 3: umber number? Alright, one more, it's all Greg, Well you
- 51:18Speaker 3: decide who what or where?
- 51:21Speaker 2: How? Let's go? Uh who?
- 51:23Speaker 7: Who?
- 51:24Speaker 2: Okay? All right? I don't know if one is going
- 51:28Speaker 2: to get this one?
- 51:29Speaker 3: All all right, here we go. I am a rom
- 51:33Speaker 3: com queen. I'm from an opera family, and I speak German.
- 51:41Speaker 3: I love and live in New Orleans. I have been
- 51:46Speaker 3: a bartender and a cheerleader. My star as Special Agent
- 51:51Speaker 3: Ashburn in The Heat. I cannot defy gravity. I escape
- 52:00Speaker 3: from Jesse James Menace, Menace, Menace, Cat Bondy Cat Vandy
- 52:07Speaker 3: is incorrect?
- 52:09Speaker 2: Who am I? Okay? Sandra Bullock answer. I wasn't sure
- 52:17Speaker 2: they were going to get that one. I didn't know
- 52:18Speaker 2: she was from an opera fan.
- 52:19Speaker 4: I know I thought that was in Hathway because I
- 52:21Speaker 4: know her parents do that.
- 52:22Speaker 2: I know there's two people from the Heat. It's her
- 52:24Speaker 2: and Melissam Mcarthurs. That movie one of those.
- 52:28Speaker 4: I love that movie.
- 52:29Speaker 2: I love that movie.
- 52:30Speaker 3: I wasn't sure it was gonna come after f because
- 52:32Speaker 3: either loved it or I hated. That's a definite Gregeah,
- 52:37Speaker 3: it's very fine. All right, men, it's one more time.
- 52:39Speaker 3: What's the name of the National Park? You said in
- 52:42Speaker 3: me they got it, and I got one of those
- 52:44Speaker 3: notifications on my phone is.
- 52:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 52:49Speaker 3: Jeff she said going into that last round of the
- 52:51Speaker 3: smart ass game, that he's got a lot of useless knowledge. Yeah,
- 52:56Speaker 3: useless knowledge, fun facts.
- 52:58Speaker 2: You know, favor knowledge really useless.
- 53:02Speaker 10: I guess you use it in different situations. I would
- 53:04Speaker 10: argue a limited application. Maybe knowing anything about like a
- 53:08Speaker 10: real housewife is entirely.
- 53:13Speaker 3: Conversation. Although, Greg, you started to say something and then
- 53:18Speaker 3: you know, we had to get back on the air. Yeah,
- 53:20Speaker 3: you said to you said to Jeff g he could.
- 53:23Speaker 2: Offer you how much it was like million, twenty million dollars,
- 53:26Speaker 2: twenty five million dollars to tell him what the bullpen
- 53:30Speaker 2: is in baseball, and I would have to not get
- 53:33Speaker 2: the money. I don't. I've I've heard the word a
- 53:36Speaker 2: million times. Yeah, I've never known. I mean, you've been
- 53:39Speaker 2: to baseball games. I've watched the baseball game. I watched them.
- 53:42Speaker 2: I get into I'm kind of a fair weathered fan.
- 53:45Speaker 2: I get into it only at the World Series if
- 53:47Speaker 2: I care, if it's exciting. Not really a baseball guy.
- 53:51Speaker 2: I used to not know what a rubber match was
- 53:54Speaker 2: then what he told me, and I've already forgotten, so
- 53:56Speaker 2: I don't really know what a rubber match is. I
- 53:59Speaker 2: think it's just the set game, right, like a bit
- 54:02Speaker 2: between the same two teams.
- 54:04Speaker 3: Well, if you've split, yeah, I split three game series, Okay, so.
- 54:10Speaker 9: If each one won, the last one is the rubber mats?
- 54:17Speaker 2: No idea bullpen? Like, take a guess. My guess is
- 54:21Speaker 2: this could be so off base. The dugout, it's.
- 54:25Speaker 3: Like the dugout is called the dugout.
- 54:27Speaker 2: That's why I thought, is that just slang for the dugout.
- 54:29Speaker 10: It's a different dugout, but it's a very special dugout. Yeah, special,
- 54:34Speaker 10: it's not really necessarily dug out up the ground and
- 54:36Speaker 10: they and they also started applying it in business like
- 54:39Speaker 10: in the office, like the sale Then it became the
- 54:43Speaker 10: sales pits or whatever. But the yeah, the bullpen, the
- 54:46Speaker 10: bullpen area of the office.
- 54:48Speaker 2: Is it where all the guys stand waiting to go
- 54:50Speaker 2: to back.
- 54:52Speaker 3: Deck circle.
- 54:54Speaker 2: Oh, there's a name for that.
- 54:57Speaker 3: That you're on deck like I've heard the term.
- 55:00Speaker 2: I know that was baseball.
- 55:01Speaker 5: That part I thought was the bullpen. The little side area,
- 55:04Speaker 5: a little warming up area like where they're swinging the
- 55:06Speaker 5: bat around. You thought that was the bullpen? Yeah, pretty
- 55:09Speaker 5: much on deck circle?
- 55:11Speaker 2: Is it bullpen? Work with Jeff and bullpen.
- 55:14Speaker 4: Like a pig pen?
- 55:15Speaker 2: Yeah? Do you know what it is? Venus? No, I
- 55:17Speaker 2: thought it was a little side hangout.
- 55:19Speaker 3: You don't know what the bulleten is.
- 55:20Speaker 2: Either outside the dugout. Thank you for just give you
- 55:23Speaker 2: a clue.
- 55:24Speaker 3: A pen like something that keeps people fenced in?
- 55:26Speaker 7: Okay?
- 55:27Speaker 2: Is there a fenced in area where you're waiting to
- 55:30Speaker 2: go up to back?
- 55:31Speaker 3: Typically there's a fence.
- 55:32Speaker 4: Can I give a hint?
- 55:34Speaker 2: I don't know. It's not envisioning a ballpark.
- 55:38Speaker 3: If i'm do you know what I mean?
- 55:40Speaker 2: I think I do you you don't know. I don't
- 55:42Speaker 2: anything about sports.
- 55:43Speaker 4: You're right, So you tell me if you think it's
- 55:44Speaker 4: a good clue. Okay, not every player gets to go
- 55:47Speaker 4: in the bullpen.
- 55:48Speaker 3: That clue.
- 55:50Speaker 10: It's attached to the dugout right, No, No, it's in fact,
- 55:54Speaker 10: it's sort of you can say it's opposite from it's
- 55:56Speaker 10: like a second dugout.
- 55:58Speaker 2: Really. Yeah, it's completely to the ballpark, so not everybody
- 56:01Speaker 2: can go into the but everybody can go into the dugout.
- 56:04Speaker 3: Is it located to where the coaches by first base? No, No,
- 56:11Speaker 3: it's a dugout, although sometimes.
- 56:13Speaker 5: They are dugouts, not by first base, although.
- 56:15Speaker 3: Sometimes they will have a bullpen type area that's along
- 56:21Speaker 3: like either the left or the right field like side,
- 56:23Speaker 3: like the sideline you know, in the outfield. Yes, yes,
- 56:27Speaker 3: beyond first base towards the outfield.
- 56:31Speaker 2: There's not.
- 56:32Speaker 9: They do a very specific thing that's game related in
- 56:36Speaker 9: exactly where they announce everything.
- 56:38Speaker 3: No, there's only okay, the players that are allowed in
- 56:45Speaker 3: the bullpen all play the same position.
- 56:49Speaker 2: That's good pictures, right, Yeah.
- 56:52Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought that area was right next to the dugout. No,
- 56:58Speaker 3: they're usually in the outfield. It's usually beyond the left
- 57:01Speaker 3: field or right field wall. Then you'll see the guys
- 57:06Speaker 3: in there there, Yeah, because you'll see them in there
- 57:09Speaker 3: warming up. Okay, this is how I thought. And then
- 57:11Speaker 3: and then the manager comes out when it's time to
- 57:13Speaker 3: make a pitching change, and he makes a call to
- 57:14Speaker 3: the bullpen, and then the picture who has been warming
- 57:17Speaker 3: up he comes in.
- 57:18Speaker 2: He runs out from the outfield and that's when they
- 57:20Speaker 2: play like the interim music. Yeah, this is how I
- 57:23Speaker 2: thought the layout was.
- 57:24Speaker 5: There was the dugout, then there was the little side area,
- 57:29Speaker 5: the circle that you're talking about with the batters, and
- 57:31Speaker 5: then there was the picture area. But I thought the
- 57:35Speaker 5: area in the in the picture area where the same thing.
- 57:37Speaker 3: Let's say I'm standing on the first baseline, I'm staring
- 57:40Speaker 3: at the dugout. The on deck circle would be to
- 57:42Speaker 3: the right, to the right of the dugout, between the
- 57:44Speaker 3: dugout and say home plate, right because that's where they're
- 57:47Speaker 3: coming from the dugout.
- 57:48Speaker 2: There's an on deck circle, and they're so very unlikely
- 57:50Speaker 2: to have foul balls hit that area, correct, Right now,
- 57:54Speaker 2: What menace might you might be thinking about is some
- 57:57Speaker 2: of these ballparks to the left of the dugout down
- 58:01Speaker 2: like say the first base line into the outfield sometimes
- 58:04Speaker 2: and I don't really see this much anymore. They would
- 58:07Speaker 2: have pictures warming up right there. That's what I'm talking about.
- 58:10Speaker 3: Yeah, But like the other players, they don't have the
- 58:14Speaker 3: typical standard bullpen like what we're talking about or what
- 58:17Speaker 3: people think about when you think about the bullpen. Good
- 58:20Speaker 3: place to put a bullpen.
- 58:21Speaker 2: You can put seats there. Yeah.
- 58:22Speaker 3: And also there's there's a ton of foul balls that
- 58:24Speaker 3: are going down people. I think the Giants play in
- 58:30Speaker 3: San Francisco like they would have pictures warming up along
- 58:33Speaker 3: the along deep.
- 58:37Speaker 2: Yeah, but yeah the bullpen wow, no kidding, So you
- 58:41Speaker 2: and you say bullpen, bullen bullpen?
- 58:49Speaker 3: No, but now I know is a pen or pen
- 58:53Speaker 3: like a play pen? All right, that's where you keep
- 58:56Speaker 3: all the bulls right.
- 58:59Speaker 2: Right in case there's a big victory, they send the
- 59:01Speaker 2: bulls out. Yeah, yeah, okay.
- 59:04Speaker 3: Apparently the only field that still has the bullpins along
- 59:08Speaker 3: the foul lines is Tropicana Field, the Tampa Bay Raised
- 59:11Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah, got rid of it, yes, damn. And
- 59:14Speaker 3: then Oakland is just gone.
- 59:15Speaker 2: So now I know, And now I finally get rubber match.
- 59:18Speaker 2: I totally get it. Well, you were total, then you forgot.
- 59:21Speaker 2: You're not even told again.
- 59:22Speaker 3: Just call it a tie breaker, I guess so.
- 59:24Speaker 2: But it makes sense if you have a best of
- 59:27Speaker 2: filling the blank series.
- 59:29Speaker 3: Yeah, three one, oh the Woodie Show entertaining and educational there.
- 59:33Speaker 2: Right, see, now I have useful information.
- 59:36Speaker 3: There you go, text us over to two to nine
- 59:40Speaker 3: Eat the Woody show will be right back.
- 59:45Speaker 6: The show and.
- 59:48Speaker 3: Ladies and gentlemen of the jury agree or disagree. We
- 59:53Speaker 3: were having this whole discussion. You know, Greg said he
- 59:55Speaker 3: didn't know what a bullpen was, right.
- 59:59Speaker 2: I've heard the term a million times, never knew, and.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: It just got me thinking about I thought it meant,
- 1:00:05Speaker 3: I think we all know a person you and you're listening,
- 1:00:08Speaker 3: you might be this person. It's not the flex that
- 1:00:12Speaker 3: you think it is. When you're like, go sports team,
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: like the people who who go out of their way
- 1:00:18Speaker 3: to they want to make sure that you know how
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: little they know or care about sports sports.
- 1:00:24Speaker 2: I sincerely hope that's not because I know that you do.
- 1:00:28Speaker 2: Like there are you love football, you love hockey. You
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: can explain football to somebody. Yeah, but baseball and not.
- 1:00:33Speaker 2: I wasn't sure, But you know the person I'm talking
- 1:00:35Speaker 2: about a hundred it's never as funny as you think
- 1:00:38Speaker 2: it is, and it's certainly not the flex that you
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: think it is.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: I genuinely know almost nothing about sports, but I don't
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: think it's cool. It's just a fact.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: If you don't know sports, that's fine. But the person
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: who's got to make it known, Yeah, it's like the
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: annoying vegan, Like you could do whatever you want, but
- 1:00:52Speaker 3: you got to make sure everybody know it's not the
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: flex that you think it is.
- 1:00:55Speaker 2: Nobody's going, oh my god, this person's so cool. They
- 1:00:58Speaker 2: don't know anything about sports, and.
- 1:01:00Speaker 3: They're really funny about it, so funny about it.
- 1:01:03Speaker 2: So yeah, so agree or disagree? I agree? Okay.
- 1:01:07Speaker 5: I do have a friend like this and his girlfriend
- 1:01:10Speaker 5: lost her mind on him because he took she took
- 1:01:15Speaker 5: him to like a work thing and it was at
- 1:01:17Speaker 5: a ballpark and he like said that out loud and
- 1:01:20Speaker 5: she got so upset with him.
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: Yeah, something fun and nice. It's like, well, here we
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: are at the sports park. Uh huh, what is that?
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: I'm just here for the hot dogs?
- 1:01:29Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, who's next? Agree or disagree?
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: I got one refusing to use your GPS because you
- 1:01:37Speaker 4: know the city so well, like you just won't turn
- 1:01:39Speaker 4: it on.
- 1:01:41Speaker 3: The person refuses to ask for directions.
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: Yes, okay, first of all, like do you know where
- 1:01:45Speaker 4: the accidents are? Do you know where the delays are? Like,
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: you're so cool you're not using the GPS?
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: I hate that.
- 1:01:50Speaker 2: Yeah, I know.
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: People like you could be in a costco for example,
- 1:01:53Speaker 3: and you're like, man, where the hell did they put
- 1:01:55Speaker 3: X Y Z here?
- 1:01:57Speaker 2: I'm gonna ask me.
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: No, I'll find it's like, what are you talking about? Like,
- 1:02:00Speaker 3: I got no problem asking for it.
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: I kind of disagree. So in England, to be a
- 1:02:05Speaker 2: certified taxi driver, they have to memorize the city. That's
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: your job. That's I know. But that's mad impressive.
- 1:02:13Speaker 4: Yeah, But like I said, that doesn't mean you're just
- 1:02:15Speaker 4: gonna know when there's an accident somewhere and you should
- 1:02:17Speaker 4: take another route. True, like just leave it on, don't
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: be a hero.
- 1:02:21Speaker 2: But in the ye old days when you would jump
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: into a taxi take me to the corner of Mason
- 1:02:26Speaker 2: and Carson Street and they just how did you do that?
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: That's good? Okay, it's not the flex you think it is.
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: Greg Gory the person who wears the special lanyard with
- 1:02:39Speaker 2: a badge saying how many cruises they've been on? That
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: to me is not a flex And then they make
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: a big announcement He's welcome, menace. This is his ninety
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: fourth cruise. He's now a gold Member's cool, you went
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: on a lot of vacations.
- 1:02:54Speaker 3: Hey, I'm going to say, the same people that put
- 1:02:56Speaker 3: that stupid annual pass holder thing for Disney on there
- 1:02:58Speaker 3: right on your cot I'm dizzy as much as the
- 1:03:01Speaker 3: next person does. Man, but the holders and.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: The medallion holders greg. The last time I was on
- 1:03:06Speaker 4: a cruise, I saw some people with those little star
- 1:03:09Speaker 4: things diamonds, and I asked what they were, and they
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: wanted to make sure I knew. You can't buy them.
- 1:03:14Speaker 2: You have to go on the cool You spend more
- 1:03:18Speaker 2: money than anybody trying to get.
- 1:03:22Speaker 5: I don't watch television peoples.
- 1:03:26Speaker 4: All that means is they watch it on their laptop.
- 1:03:28Speaker 2: I wish I had, you know, more time for it.
- 1:03:31Speaker 2: I just have it. I think it's it's an ever
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: growing list.
- 1:03:33Speaker 5: But there their attitude and tone. I don't watch television.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: I love the people.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: I love the people that they You know, you get
- 1:03:41Speaker 3: into small talk conversation, Oh, so what do you do?
- 1:03:44Speaker 3: Oh I host a radio show and they ask you
- 1:03:47Speaker 3: a thousand questions about it. They go, I don't listen
- 1:03:49Speaker 3: to the radio.
- 1:03:52Speaker 5: I listened to whatever it is, or they always say
- 1:03:56Speaker 5: the only radio they do listen to always is MPR.
- 1:04:00Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:04:00Speaker 2: Yeah, it's the biggest thing.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: It's not you engaged in a very inauthentic conversation with
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: me asking questions that you really had no interest in
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: the answers, just to just to be able to get
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: to the I don't listen to the radio. My response
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: is always the same, while my check still certainly clears
- 1:04:19Speaker 3: even though you don't listen tonight exactly exactly right.
- 1:04:23Speaker 2: Oh, speaking of eating, this isn't the flex people think
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: it is. Oh, I know the owner of that restaurant,
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: and okay.
- 1:04:32Speaker 3: If you do a thousand times, but it just happened
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: again the other day.
- 1:04:35Speaker 10: Having a loud vehicle, I would say with Gregg's, you
- 1:04:41Speaker 10: like the cruise people, those are old dorks, but the
- 1:04:44Speaker 10: loud motorcycle and loud car people, they definitely want you.
- 1:04:48Speaker 4: To notice actively hate them.
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: Yes, and it's like it's not again.
- 1:04:54Speaker 10: I'll if there's a woman out there who's ever had
- 1:04:56Speaker 10: sex with a man because he had a loud car,
- 1:04:58Speaker 10: please text in. I would love to meet and you
- 1:05:01Speaker 10: can see your tramp stand. But well, spare also spared.
- 1:05:04Speaker 10: The loud pipes save lives people. That's been scientifically thought
- 1:05:07Speaker 10: that people have stopped saying that because it's so it's
- 1:05:10Speaker 10: just not true. They say, look for motorcyclists now because
- 1:05:13Speaker 10: that's the only way you can see them in time.
- 1:05:14Speaker 3: Oh, look, you say it, I like it. That's fine,
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: But you don't have to say it saves lives. You
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: don't have to try to like attach something to haarfloat.
- 1:05:20Speaker 4: No no, no, no no.
- 1:05:22Speaker 5: You go into Walmart and it's so funny because like
- 1:05:25Speaker 5: any soccer mom in like a model Y could smoke
- 1:05:28Speaker 5: you like any day, and you all these modifications your
- 1:05:32Speaker 5: car and it sounds so ridiculous, and it's still Yeah,
- 1:05:35Speaker 5: some soccer.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: Mom will say that you like it.
- 1:05:37Speaker 2: You're you're just annoying.
- 1:05:38Speaker 10: But don't just say that you like it, because it
- 1:05:40Speaker 10: makes people look at you. Yeah, and it causes destruction,
- 1:05:43Speaker 10: starve people notice me. You don't like it just because
- 1:05:45Speaker 10: you like that you like one hundred and fifty decibels.
- 1:05:47Speaker 10: Nobody likes a hundred and fifty decibels.
- 1:05:49Speaker 2: Just do I do refuse to look at them, that's true.
- 1:05:53Speaker 3: Yeah, the people that are very clearly screaming for attention Greg.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: It has the opposite effect of Greg and I we
- 1:05:58Speaker 3: go out of our way, not even not even look
- 1:06:01Speaker 3: that direction.
- 1:06:02Speaker 2: Right, even if it's a car that I think rules
- 1:06:04Speaker 2: got one, Yeah, I got a few.
- 1:06:06Speaker 4: Actually that I'll give you real quick. The not going
- 1:06:09Speaker 4: to the doctor.
- 1:06:09Speaker 2: People come to the doctor in twenty years.
- 1:06:12Speaker 4: Are you fine? No, you're not going to the doctor.
- 1:06:15Speaker 8: The people who don't get their oil change and they're like, oh,
- 1:06:19Speaker 8: my car is running fine, I don't need to get
- 1:06:20Speaker 8: my oil change.
- 1:06:21Speaker 4: Yes you do. It's going to break down one day.
- 1:06:23Speaker 3: Get your oil changed by people.
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: Do we mean women?
- 1:06:26Speaker 7: No?
- 1:06:27Speaker 8: And and the last one people who say they're better
- 1:06:33Speaker 8: when they drive drunk and they're like, no, I have
- 1:06:35Speaker 8: a great drunk driver.
- 1:06:37Speaker 3: High, No you're not.
- 1:06:39Speaker 4: And now you're just bragging about drinking and driving.
- 1:06:41Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: I don't hear people saying that much about alcohol, and
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: hear it a lot with the weed people.
- 1:06:46Speaker 9: Yeah, all the time, Jeff, g uh. Dudes that have
- 1:06:51Speaker 9: more than one baby mama, That is not a flex.
- 1:06:54Speaker 9: Oh god, having multiple kids with multiple women is not
- 1:06:58Speaker 9: the flex you think it is.
- 1:07:00Speaker 2: All that means is you pay a lot of child support.
- 1:07:01Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah, you know, I'm kind of glad I'm not
- 1:07:03Speaker 10: in a social circle. I've ever heard that as a brag. Yeah,
- 1:07:07Speaker 10: so good for me, I guess.
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: Yeah. It's that mato thing, you know, like my seat
- 1:07:11Speaker 2: is everywhere. Yeah.
- 1:07:13Speaker 3: A couple other I will add to the list that
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: I'm seeing on the on the text, and I agree
- 1:07:17Speaker 3: with these. To the people I never take vacation people,
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: I hate those people. Yeah, I've never taken a sick day.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: Well good, Like you're coming to work completely sick and
- 1:07:26Speaker 3: you get everybody else else to take a sick day.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: Yeah that's awesome. Like who are I mean, I'm not
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: your supervisor, So who are you trying to impress that
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: you're coming to work every day? You're not using the
- 1:07:35Speaker 3: vacation time that you're giving. You know, people bitch about
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: their their compensation a lot. You know, that is part
- 1:07:41Speaker 3: of your compensation. It's like refusing to It's like going
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: to the doctor and refusing to use your insurance. It's
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: part of your compensation. Like no, no, no, I'm not
- 1:07:51Speaker 3: using that. I'm gonna pay cash price out of plaquet,
- 1:07:55Speaker 3: like like it's part of what you're going to work
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: for every day, is the bet? Like now the benefits
- 1:08:02Speaker 3: could be better, of course, right they're not. They may
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: not be great, but it's something. And the same with
- 1:08:08Speaker 3: the not using your vacation time. Yeah yeah, like as
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: you might as well say, like oh no that people
- 1:08:15Speaker 3: that like bitch of people don't pay enough taxes and
- 1:08:17Speaker 3: they go, well, you know, you can send however much
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: you want. They don't, No, of course you know they don't.
- 1:08:24Speaker 3: So like, why like, you have this vacation time, you're
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: not using it, so like you're basically giving it. It's
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: the equivalent of giving money back, right, Yeah, because they're
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: paying you for X number of days a year based
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: on how much you know vacation time you're gonna use.
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: They're expecting x number of productivity. They're gonna do the
- 1:08:40Speaker 3: math you just made. You just let the house win.
- 1:08:44Speaker 4: Yeah, yourself.
- 1:08:45Speaker 2: I don't get it.
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: Yeah, eight seven, seven forty four. What if you got
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: any more you want to hit us up with, you
- 1:08:49Speaker 3: can set us a text over to two to nine
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: eighty seven more. What is show's cut up?
- 1:08:53Speaker 2: Next?
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: We're gonna check in with a couple of our friends,
- 1:08:56Speaker 3: Half Baked and Hammer and hank.
- 1:09:01Speaker 9: Um.
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: Time to talk to two special guests, not just one
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: special guest. We have two special guests, Ladies and gentlemen,
- 1:09:14Speaker 3: is time for a woody show crossfire. Please welcome Half
- 1:09:17Speaker 3: Baked to the show. What's up, dude, how are you doing?
- 1:09:24Speaker 7: I'm going to meet Jimmy Hart and Brittah Man Heart
- 1:09:29Speaker 7: and load up comic cord.
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: So if you if you could only meet one wrestler
- 1:09:37Speaker 3: ever half baked, which one living or dead would you choose?
- 1:09:43Speaker 6: Eighties?
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: Eighties? Eighties? Nice?
- 1:09:46Speaker 3: All right, so you're getting your doloreate. You go back
- 1:09:48Speaker 3: to the eighties and you meet Halt.
- 1:09:49Speaker 7: Cochin show eighties Olgan. But but I'm a shamed of
- 1:09:56Speaker 7: him for not disowning the.
- 1:10:02Speaker 2: It is not like Nick Hogan.
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: Hey, Sergeant Slaughter is going to be at that comic con.
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: You don't want to meet Sergeant Slaughter.
- 1:10:08Speaker 6: I met him at The Loved One.
- 1:10:12Speaker 10: And seeing someone more than Sergeant Slaughter at comic con,
- 1:10:15Speaker 10: he's every single one is.
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Yeah alright, so half bigg is here, and also for
- 1:10:19Speaker 3: what he showed Crossfire, please welcome.
- 1:10:21Speaker 2: Hammer and Hank everyway.
- 1:10:24Speaker 6: What's up?
- 1:10:25Speaker 11: Hank?
- 1:10:26Speaker 10: Oh?
- 1:10:28Speaker 2: Is his phone? Okay?
- 1:10:29Speaker 3: Hen can you hear us drowning in a baptist Yeah
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: it sound like a really really broke I thought maybe
- 1:10:36Speaker 3: he was on another one of his walks, right, maybe
- 1:10:39Speaker 3: aduction and Hank. I was actually really interested to get
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: your thoughts on did you see the lady who sang
- 1:10:46Speaker 3: the national anthem for the pro baseball debut. Her name
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: is Martha Reeves. She's like an old school Motown yeah
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: star yeah, and it was to it was too choppy
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: because as a professional, how many times have you sang
- 1:11:04Speaker 3: the national anthem at a baseball game?
- 1:11:06Speaker 6: Five times?
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: Five times?
- 1:11:10Speaker 3: Five times? And so what were your thoughts besides too choppy?
- 1:11:13Speaker 3: Do you believe her excuse? She was giving an excuse
- 1:11:17Speaker 3: saying it was the other two backup singers that screwed
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: it everything. Her performance was fine, it was the two
- 1:11:23Speaker 3: background singers that screwed it up. Do you agree or
- 1:11:26Speaker 3: disagree with that take? I think all three all three missed. Yeah,
- 1:11:32Speaker 3: for those of you who might have missed it, here
- 1:11:34Speaker 3: is how that went. All right, So, Hank, even though
- 1:11:45Speaker 3: it's over the phone, I just want everybody to see
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: how it's really done. Just give me that that first part,
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: the osay, can you see through the Dawn's early life?
- 1:11:51Speaker 3: Just through that one little part.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Go ahead, Oh say.
- 1:11:56Speaker 6: See by the don there.
- 1:12:02Speaker 3: Did you hear any shaking in there? You are better
- 1:12:08Speaker 3: than the Martha Reeves Motown legend? Martha Reeves? Yeah, all right,
- 1:12:14Speaker 3: well all right, so everybody everybody saw that. Now half baked.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: I understand that you've been quite upset about the death
- 1:12:20Speaker 3: of Hannah. Heye, what's her name?
- 1:12:23Speaker 7: There we go, Well, I don't really know her, but
- 1:12:26Speaker 7: it's really really sad.
- 1:12:30Speaker 3: Now, Hank, let me ask you a question. I understood
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: you went in for some some blood work recently. How
- 1:12:36Speaker 3: did that go? Did you have to like change up
- 1:12:38Speaker 3: what you ate? Because I know like how much you
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: love the Mexican food. Did you have to change that
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: up before you went in for your blood work?
- 1:12:44Speaker 7: Mostly?
- 1:12:45Speaker 3: Okay, okay, most of it's.
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, but what have you been eating lately?
- 1:12:50Speaker 6: I've been eating some dude Jack Jack Jack in the bus.
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: Okay, all right?
- 1:13:01Speaker 3: Have you have you tried the Jack in the Box
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: egg rolls? Those are some of my favorites. Never, oh God,
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: mess it out. I think they have better egg rolls
- 1:13:11Speaker 3: than most of the Chinese food places I've gone to.
- 1:13:14Speaker 3: Those Jack in the Box egg rolls. Not only are
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: they a great deal, a great value, and Jack in
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: the Box not a sponsor, but clearly they could be. Uh,
- 1:13:20Speaker 3: but those egg rolls are good. You are missing out
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: next time you go there, well, assuming you know how
- 1:13:25Speaker 3: many blood work to get to that day. And you
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: have to do any kind of fasting.
- 1:13:29Speaker 6: Some demon San Lorenzo.
- 1:13:32Speaker 3: All right, all right, sure thanks, sure, all right, guys
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: that we're gonna ask you about a couple of well
- 1:13:38Speaker 3: we already asked you about the anthem lady, but a
- 1:13:40Speaker 3: couple of the other stories that have been in the
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: news here recently. And half Big we'll start with you.
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: What about this thought about some former NBA players who
- 1:13:49Speaker 3: now identify as women who would like to join the w.
- 1:13:52Speaker 7: N B A. Why because they're not really women?
- 1:13:57Speaker 6: Oh?
- 1:13:58Speaker 3: How dare you?
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: That's what the w is? Yeah?
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: So what is a woman half baked? How would you
- 1:14:05Speaker 3: define a woman born with that genitalia?
- 1:14:09Speaker 2: That's right?
- 1:14:15Speaker 7: What was it?
- 1:14:15Speaker 3: What was the movie where like, uh, the guy was
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: answering the question like the little kid was like, uh,
- 1:14:20Speaker 3: well you know, boys have penises a kindergarten.
- 1:14:24Speaker 10: Cops are born without genital You we're without genitally half baked?
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Thank you for that.
- 1:14:32Speaker 3: What about you, Hank?
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: What do you think?
- 1:14:33Speaker 7: Uh?
- 1:14:34Speaker 3: What do you think about the former NBA players who
- 1:14:36Speaker 3: now want to identify as women to join the w.
- 1:14:39Speaker 1: N B A.
- 1:14:40Speaker 6: I think it totally sucks.
- 1:14:41Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:14:42Speaker 3: Oh, he's another person who's not on board, And why
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: are you not on board?
- 1:14:46Speaker 12: Because I don't think transgender woman ships playing the NBA
- 1:14:51Speaker 12: otherwise to be seeing all polgy.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: Okay, it is argue with that, all right. Another story
- 1:15:03Speaker 3: in the news is that Luigi, you know, the guy
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: who killed the United Healthcare CEO, he pled guilty. Now,
- 1:15:13Speaker 3: this is all kind of maneuvering maybe to just try
- 1:15:15Speaker 3: to get like a lighter sentence.
- 1:15:17Speaker 2: But which side are you on?
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: Are you on the side that you think Luigi should
- 1:15:21Speaker 3: be in prison for killing the guy or are you
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: one of the he's too hot for jail free Luigi?
- 1:15:27Speaker 3: People will start with you, half Baked, I think he
- 1:15:30Speaker 3: should rot in, Okay, Yeah, I mean both of you
- 1:15:34Speaker 3: guys have had some experience with the healthcare system. I
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: don't think anybody's taken up for the healthcare system per se.
- 1:15:40Speaker 3: But also, like, you can't just go around killing somebody.
- 1:15:42Speaker 3: Is that your point here, half Baked?
- 1:15:44Speaker 7: I don't care if you're somewhat right. You can't just
- 1:15:48Speaker 7: kill people, even if they are kind of bad.
- 1:15:53Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, think about the restraint that half Baked
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: has shown. I mean he has gotten into full on
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: fights with people that he's worked with. But he stopped
- 1:16:01Speaker 3: short of killing them.
- 1:16:02Speaker 2: Yeah, he would.
- 1:16:05Speaker 3: Exactly what, which is why you're a free man on
- 1:16:08Speaker 3: these streets. No, Hank, what do you think about this situation?
- 1:16:11Speaker 3: Do you think that Luigi should be in prison or
- 1:16:13Speaker 3: is he too hot for jail?
- 1:16:15Speaker 6: I think he should be in prisonly gardless.
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: Okay, so even if he is hot, he should still
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: be in prison for.
- 1:16:22Speaker 2: Ultra.
- 1:16:23Speaker 6: Do you think he's right? Yeahah, no, he did it
- 1:16:27Speaker 6: to himself.
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: Okay, he certainly did. Hey, Hank, is it true that
- 1:16:32Speaker 3: you've been hearing voices?
- 1:16:35Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:16:36Speaker 3: Like, what kind of voices are you here? I just
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: want to make sure that you're not going down a
- 1:16:40Speaker 3: dangerous path?
- 1:16:41Speaker 2: Have you been?
- 1:16:41Speaker 7: Like?
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: What what do these voices say?
- 1:16:43Speaker 6: To do bad things to people? Which I don't want
- 1:16:46Speaker 6: to do that anymore?
- 1:16:48Speaker 3: Oh anymore?
- 1:16:49Speaker 2: Yeah? Thank god? Yeah.
- 1:16:50Speaker 3: Menas you had a conversation with him about this, he
- 1:16:52Speaker 3: talked about it.
- 1:16:53Speaker 5: He just says that he keeps the radio on at
- 1:16:55Speaker 5: night and then he's all good.
- 1:16:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:16:58Speaker 3: Now, is this something that's kind of the new or
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: has this been happening over a number of years? Number
- 1:17:04Speaker 3: of years, number of number of years okay, and then
- 1:17:07Speaker 3: just turning the radio.
- 1:17:08Speaker 6: One I keep music going all night.
- 1:17:11Speaker 5: Okay, but they don't always say bad things.
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: They say good things too, right.
- 1:17:15Speaker 5: They say, uh, go check out the new Areana Grande record, right.
- 1:17:19Speaker 12: Or go to the Free Style Explosion concert. I love
- 1:17:24Speaker 12: Litha Lisa Expose.
- 1:17:28Speaker 2: Yeah, it's good fun. Yeah, I like those voices.
- 1:17:31Speaker 3: That's that's fine.
- 1:17:32Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:17:33Speaker 3: Well here let me ask you a question, half Baked.
- 1:17:35Speaker 3: I understand that you went to driving school recently. Is
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: this on a kind of a ticket or is this
- 1:17:40Speaker 3: just kind of like your your your you're furthering your education.
- 1:17:44Speaker 6: Well, what's it is?
- 1:17:47Speaker 7: I was in the loft lane that turned. It was
- 1:17:51Speaker 7: a camera violation, but I wuldn't really do it, and
- 1:17:56Speaker 7: I went up the middle, which was great, and they
- 1:18:02Speaker 7: know they were wrong, but they still screwed me anyways,
- 1:18:07Speaker 7: and they just send me to four hours community service.
- 1:18:11Speaker 2: Oh, community service.
- 1:18:17Speaker 7: I'm happy to do it. I'd rather endure that than
- 1:18:20Speaker 7: a five hundred dollars fine, okay, So rather.
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: Than can do the community service, that's a choice, okay,
- 1:18:27Speaker 3: yeah maybe for okay, yeah, so you'll have the financial
- 1:18:31Speaker 3: burden of that. But I would think if it was
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: a camera thing. See the thing about the cameras. Is
- 1:18:36Speaker 3: that I think it could work in your favor, Like
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: if you didn't do something, the camera would show right
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: that you didn't.
- 1:18:42Speaker 7: Do it still screwed me over anyway.
- 1:18:46Speaker 3: Yeah, all right, So I'm guessing you're not for the
- 1:18:48Speaker 3: the idea of these flock cameras that are popping up
- 1:18:51Speaker 3: everywhere where. They're keeping an eye on everybody.
- 1:18:53Speaker 7: What's a flock camera?
- 1:18:55Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:18:55Speaker 3: So there are these cameras that different cities and municipalities
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: are installed, and it's basically capturing people on video on
- 1:19:03Speaker 3: camera coming and going. So like say there's a crime
- 1:19:06Speaker 3: in a particular area, they can pull all the footage
- 1:19:09Speaker 3: from these flock cameras that were in the area to
- 1:19:11Speaker 3: try to see if they can capture like a car
- 1:19:14Speaker 3: or a license plate or a person.
- 1:19:16Speaker 6: Well that's probably.
- 1:19:18Speaker 7: Good and him dead at the same time.
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean I could see where like if you
- 1:19:22Speaker 3: really didn't do something, this might be able to help
- 1:19:25Speaker 3: you out.
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: But people do not like it.
- 1:19:26Speaker 3: They like as much like those data centers right Sea
- 1:19:28Speaker 3: mass Oh.
- 1:19:29Speaker 10: Yeah, Well, I think there's a little bit of a
- 1:19:31Speaker 10: different angle on the flock cameras.
- 1:19:33Speaker 3: And I'm saying that people hate both. There's a there's
- 1:19:36Speaker 3: a passion out there.
- 1:19:38Speaker 10: But people are actually destroying the flot cameras though, yeah, yes,
- 1:19:41Speaker 10: definite they are.
- 1:19:42Speaker 3: Hank, what do you think about the idea of these cameras?
- 1:19:47Speaker 2: All right?
- 1:19:48Speaker 6: Because the figgers need to be caught.
- 1:19:52Speaker 3: And I agree, I agree, yep.
- 1:19:55Speaker 2: All right.
- 1:19:56Speaker 3: Well, well guys, we're gonna wrap up here real quick,
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: so let me give a plug for him Hank's podcast. Hank,
- 1:20:01Speaker 3: you have a podcast? Tell us all about it.

- 1:20:12Speaker 12: wherever you get your podcasts, buddy.
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: All right, So what's been what has been one of
- 1:20:16Speaker 3: the big topics lately that you and Ryan really kind
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: of got into it on the podcast about, Like what
- 1:20:22Speaker 3: was that topic?
- 1:20:22Speaker 2: What's hot?
- 1:20:24Speaker 6: My nationals and performance is okay?
- 1:20:26Speaker 3: Yeah, as always, I mean that's always a hot topic
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: of conversation. All right, So check out the podcast and
- 1:20:31Speaker 3: uh and half Baked. Uh, good luck with everything.
- 1:20:34Speaker 2: I'm glad. Are you done with your community service?
- 1:20:37Speaker 6: Oh? Even started?
- 1:20:38Speaker 7: But I'm not worried about it.
- 1:20:40Speaker 2: It's only four hours.
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: All right, you started out, all right?
- 1:20:43Speaker 2: Good luck picking up litter and stuff like that.
- 1:20:46Speaker 7: No, I'm just gonna work at the salation me.
- 1:20:53Speaker 6: Right.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: Well, yeah, good luck, good luck with all that. Enjoy
- 1:20:58Speaker 3: your meeting dude, Brett the hip band Hearts. Yeah all right,
- 1:21:05Speaker 3: but that's that's gonna be awesome, dude, and we'll have
- 1:21:08Speaker 3: something with that, all right. Well, Half Baked, Hammer and Hank,
- 1:21:11Speaker 3: what do you show?
- 1:21:12Speaker 11: Cross Fire become lowly in you jun me into k
- 1:21:16Speaker 11: J A new semester istaring real soon and I hope
- 1:21:19Speaker 11: to do even better this semester. Oh yeah, yeah, all
- 1:21:23Speaker 11: right for you, my sixty thousand badies.
- 1:21:26Speaker 6: Out there, I love you so much. Now talk to
- 1:21:28Speaker 6: you real soon.
- 1:21:28Speaker 3: All right, Half Baked, we'll talk to you later, buddy, Okay, later,
- 1:21:35Speaker 3: all right later. There they are Hammer and Hank and
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: uh in Half Baked.
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: Wow, we covered a lot of ground.
- 1:21:41Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, enlighting.
- 1:21:43Speaker 4: Should we be worried about Hank?
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: Is he with the voices?
- 1:21:46Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:21:46Speaker 2: I'm gonna talk to him more about that. Yeah.
- 1:21:49Speaker 5: Yeah, it's a new conversation that you've had. I've known
- 1:21:52Speaker 5: him for over twenty five years.
- 1:21:54Speaker 3: Yeah, but you also, like you gotta maybe kind of
- 1:21:57Speaker 3: dig into like when he says do bad things to people,
- 1:22:00Speaker 3: like that that could just mean like say something mean. Yeah,
- 1:22:03Speaker 3: because he's such a kind of an innocent soul.
- 1:22:06Speaker 5: Yeah, what I was concerned about is like when I
- 1:22:09Speaker 5: called him, he was swearing, what Rob does that? I'm like,
- 1:22:13Speaker 5: that's off. And then he started talking about the voices thing,
- 1:22:15Speaker 5: and I'm like, Okay, that's weird to check in with.
- 1:22:18Speaker 2: This guy was going on.
- 1:22:22Speaker 3: At an allowance, So how does you know how much
- 1:22:23Speaker 3: money had to spend? You just spend whatever you wanted.
- 1:22:26Speaker 8: But I also looked like I was like shopping and stuff.
- 1:22:30Speaker 8: But if I went to the movie, I'd be like, Dad,
- 1:22:32Speaker 8: I'm going to the movies. He's like, that's fine.
- 1:22:34Speaker 4: Take the card. I know, I hear it now.
- 1:22:38Speaker 3: So some concern for a hammer and hank on the text,
- 1:22:43Speaker 3: Yeah yeah yeah, I mean you know him.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: Really well, so you should, Yeah, you should.
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: You should check it out. I'm sure we're going to
- 1:22:50Speaker 3: hit him up and see.
- 1:22:51Speaker 2: Does he live alone?
- 1:22:53Speaker 5: He doesn't. He does have an older sister that helps him.
- 1:22:58Speaker 5: He lives with his sister or sister lives what's the Yeah,
- 1:23:02Speaker 5: he kind of lives in a like group situation.
- 1:23:04Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, because I have some follow up questions. It's Okay,
- 1:23:08Speaker 4: have you.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: Ever dealt with anybody that's had that kind of like
- 1:23:12Speaker 3: hearing voices.
- 1:23:13Speaker 4: Kind of psychosis?
- 1:23:14Speaker 3: Now, a lot of people in the text are sharing
- 1:23:16Speaker 3: some stories once and one person said, I dated a
- 1:23:18Speaker 3: woman who was a schizophrenic. Won't do that again. Her
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: voices were telling her I was going to kill her.
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: Oh god, she had her cell phone on nine to
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: one one speed dial. This is in Florida, Florida. See
- 1:23:30Speaker 3: that tracks.
- 1:23:31Speaker 2: This sucks that your voices always have negative stuff.
- 1:23:34Speaker 4: You know, why can't they tell you how great you are?
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: Dude? Yeah, like even that. I'm I'm big on the
- 1:23:41Speaker 3: on the negative self talk, which I've known for years.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: It's me right, And uh, it's really weird the way
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: that the brain works. I mean the brain is I
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: mean fascinating right when you really when you top the thing,
- 1:23:56Speaker 3: when you use your brain to stop and think about it,
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: like all the things that are happening, all the electrical stuff,
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: it gets like that's crazy to think. It's crazy, just
- 1:24:05Speaker 3: like like how how does anybody even figure anything out?
- 1:24:07Speaker 4: And what we still don't even know?
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: Yeah, but like yeah, because I looked into I've said
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: this for a number of years, you know, you think
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: that you hate me, like you might be a listener
- 1:24:17Speaker 3: out there, like, man, I hate what he sucks. I
- 1:24:20Speaker 3: always said, nobody hates me more than I hate me, right,
- 1:24:23Speaker 3: and that and that is true. Like I am the
- 1:24:25Speaker 3: king of the negative self talk. And you know to
- 1:24:29Speaker 3: the point where someone's like, man, you should really read
- 1:24:31Speaker 3: up on that because it is self destructive. Sure, right,
- 1:24:34Speaker 3: I mean it could go down and it never really
- 1:24:37Speaker 3: has gone down any kind of deep and dark paths
- 1:24:39Speaker 3: where you know, there was never any kind of concern
- 1:24:41Speaker 3: about I'm not going to like off myself or anything
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: like that, but I'll say the idiot, I mean now
- 1:24:47Speaker 3: that you share a desk right next to mine, Jeff,
- 1:24:49Speaker 3: you hear it all the time. I'm mother f and
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: myself constantly.
- 1:24:52Speaker 5: Actually a famous interview with Bruce Lee of all people,
- 1:24:57Speaker 5: who says that, yeah, any negative talk about yourself is
- 1:25:01Speaker 5: is horrible, just as getting kicked in the face.
- 1:25:04Speaker 3: Yeah, no, it does. I mean, it really does, and
- 1:25:06Speaker 3: you have to be aware of it. Now I'm at
- 1:25:08Speaker 3: least aware of it, and I try to do things to,
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: you know, head it off because your brain goes down
- 1:25:16Speaker 3: a different path.
- 1:25:17Speaker 9: Right, and then you get used to doing that to
- 1:25:19Speaker 9: yourself and it becomes normal and then you progressively get worse. Right, Yeah,
- 1:25:22Speaker 9: And there's a difference between like like being self deprecating
- 1:25:26Speaker 9: and then yes, like self loathing.
- 1:25:29Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:25:29Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:25:30Speaker 3: People have always said, oh, well, you're just being self deprecating.
- 1:25:32Speaker 3: I'm like, oh no, no, I was serious.
- 1:25:36Speaker 4: The brain doesn't understand sarcasms. So if I'm such an idiot,
- 1:25:40Speaker 4: all they hear is I'm such an idiot.
- 1:25:41Speaker 3: And I'm super sarcastic on So it's like a double
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: it's a double, it's a double whammy. But it's what's
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: interesting was you read more about it, is that when
- 1:25:49Speaker 3: you do that kind of stuff, your brain is almost
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: like playing with you and testing you and seeing what
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: you do. That's why you have to know ways to
- 1:25:58Speaker 3: get out of it, because it just gets into this
- 1:26:01Speaker 3: rhythm and the rhythm just keeps amplifying. And I would
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: imagine that it's maybe the same kind of thing like
- 1:26:07Speaker 3: the schizophrenia thing where people are hearing these auditory hallucinations
- 1:26:12Speaker 3: like that, Like you got to know how to identify
- 1:26:14Speaker 3: and get up. So hopefully he's got somebody that you know,
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: can can can help him out, because I mean that
- 1:26:21Speaker 3: stuff can be super dang. It's one thing from you know,
- 1:26:23Speaker 3: myself call myself an idiot or you know, be constantly
- 1:26:26Speaker 3: disappointed in myself, but it's it's another thing that people
- 1:26:29Speaker 3: are hearing you're in voices.
- 1:26:33Speaker 9: I was on that for a while too, where I
- 1:26:35Speaker 9: was just you know, never satisfied with anything for me.
- 1:26:38Speaker 9: Meditation changes it for me, man. Yeah, Like doing that
- 1:26:40Speaker 9: a couple of times a day, like really kind of
- 1:26:42Speaker 9: gets rid of the garbage that's in there almost like
- 1:26:44Speaker 9: you know, and then you get to have a fresh.
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: Start really helps man, like a ton getting yourself out
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: of the thought loops. I thought of Greg, How Greg
- 1:26:51Speaker 3: will just I mean he'll sit there. My wife does
- 1:26:54Speaker 3: the same thing. Well, she'll just get something in her mind.
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: Just spin spin, spin, Yeah, like to get almost date
- 1:27:00Speaker 3: to get out of it. And I've actually I've actually
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: tried this when you have so many things going on
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: and you're kind of getting lost in your own mind
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: and you're like getting maybe getting anxious about it or
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: you start getting like that kind of like nervous energy
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: and you don't know what to do with. One thing
- 1:27:15Speaker 3: I found that actually does work that somebody suggests is like,
- 1:27:18Speaker 3: what are three things that you can see what Yeah,
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: what are three things? Find three different colors in the room,
- 1:27:25Speaker 3: find you know, two different smells, Like, try to identify
- 1:27:28Speaker 3: two different smells. Get you out of your head and
- 1:27:31Speaker 3: immediately gets your brain because your brain will just keep
- 1:27:33Speaker 3: focused on that same whatever it is. Huh and it
- 1:27:36Speaker 3: completely just switches tracks. Really, Yeah, it's a redirection.
- 1:27:40Speaker 4: Didn't you say you you don't think therapy is real
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: anymore because that's a therapy tactic from the way back.
- 1:27:46Speaker 3: No, I think people I agree with I'm on board
- 1:27:48Speaker 3: with what Menace and Sea Bass have been saying about.
- 1:27:52Speaker 3: I think people have been over therapied and now it's
- 1:27:56Speaker 3: it's become more fashionable than actually what they're doing it
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: to be you full right.
- 1:28:00Speaker 4: But there are tools that are of course, yeah.
- 1:28:03Speaker 3: Of course, I mean yeah, they're said, there's a real
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: application for it. Yeah, there hasn't been people that been
- 1:28:08Speaker 3: through horrific things that need to talk to people absolutely
- 1:28:12Speaker 3: to make it fashionable. Yes, just tools. Yeah, where everything
- 1:28:17Speaker 3: is therapy talk, where everything goes back to everything's a drama,
- 1:28:22Speaker 3: correct your personality. Yeah, that's that's become as fashionable as
- 1:28:27Speaker 3: the Stanley Cup, the Stanley mug.
- 1:28:29Speaker 8: I'm sorry Yeah, I think what you're talking about is
- 1:28:31Speaker 8: the constant talk therapy. Right, there's other tools that you
- 1:28:34Speaker 8: can get from therapy, but what are you consistent talking
- 1:28:37Speaker 8: and ruminating and over and over again is just feeding.
- 1:28:40Speaker 4: But what he's saying is the cycle loop in the brain.
- 1:28:42Speaker 4: That's all that's doing. And you know, for me, and
- 1:28:44Speaker 4: I don't know if this is like this for you, Greg,
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: the biggest terror for me is not knowing, Like I
- 1:28:49Speaker 4: don't know what's gonna happen. So something that has really
- 1:28:51Speaker 4: helped me is going you know what, I do know
- 1:28:53Speaker 4: what it's gonna happen to me one of three things.
- 1:28:55Speaker 4: Either the absolute best case scenario is going to happen,
- 1:28:57Speaker 4: either the absolute worst case scenario is gonna happen, or
- 1:29:00Speaker 4: something in the middle. And the fact that I can
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: I can predict one of those things actually makes me
- 1:29:05Speaker 4: feel better.
- 1:29:06Speaker 3: Yeah, eight forty four, Woodie, you can send us a
- 1:29:11Speaker 3: text if you like, over to two two nine eight
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: seven more.
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: What do you show next? Hang out?
- 1:29:18Speaker 3: I could barely remember to open my mouth when I'm eating,
- 1:29:22Speaker 3: Like you think I'm gonna remember to bring a canvas
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: bag to I don't think you're gonna remember it. Show
- 1:29:30Speaker 3: how long does it take, like to film a movie,
- 1:29:33Speaker 3: like if you're if you're like a like a big
- 1:29:36Speaker 3: movie like Spider Man film. Yeah, Like, if you're an actor,
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: you're what's his name, Tom, if you're Thomas Holland, how
- 1:29:48Speaker 3: long do you spend like what what's what's your time commitment?
- 1:29:51Speaker 2: My guess three months? Three months?
- 1:29:55Speaker 5: You're gonna say, I thought it was a little bit
- 1:29:57Speaker 5: longer for that kind of stuff.
- 1:29:58Speaker 2: I don't. I don't know.
- 1:29:59Speaker 3: I mean, like the work that goes into all the
- 1:30:00Speaker 3: special effects and everything, but I like the actual number
- 1:30:03Speaker 3: of days, the number of weeks that you have to
- 1:30:05Speaker 3: commit to. Yeah, three to six months for principal principal photographer.
- 1:30:10Speaker 8: Okay, for Spider Man specifically about five months.
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: Okay, well, Greg, let's do the math on this. It's
- 1:30:16Speaker 3: worked out pretty well for Tom Homme.
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: Yeah, I was looking at his salary. How did they
- 1:30:22Speaker 2: describe it? The salary growth from this movie he did
- 1:30:25Speaker 2: About a Tsunami, which was a great movie and that
- 1:30:28Speaker 2: I can't remember the name of Ewan McGregor.
- 1:30:31Speaker 7: Was in it.
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: I think he got paid one hundred grand. He was
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: a kid, and then it went up to tens of millions.
- 1:30:37Speaker 2: I believe. Okay.
- 1:30:38Speaker 3: So he's in Spider Man Brand New Day right right,
- 1:30:43Speaker 3: it's doing okay, and his deal includes his upfront salary, which,
- 1:30:48Speaker 3: however much that is plus bonus, is tied to how
- 1:30:51Speaker 3: much money the movie makes. So it's one of those
- 1:30:53Speaker 3: deals which now gives him one of the biggest paydays
- 1:30:57Speaker 3: ever for an actor on a single movie. And the
- 1:31:01Speaker 3: current record is one hundred and twenty million dollars that
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: Bruce Willis made for the Sixth Sense. I didn't know
- 1:31:08Speaker 3: that that's the record. Number two is uh, Tom Tom
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: Cruise for Top Gun Maverick.
- 1:31:16Speaker 2: He's so Tom Holland has broken this record.
- 1:31:19Speaker 3: Well, they're thinking by the time this is all said
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: and done, like he will have the new record for
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: biggest payday ever for an actor on a single movie.
- 1:31:28Speaker 3: One hundred and twenty million dollars is the record now,
- 1:31:32Speaker 3: so it's more let's just go with one hundred and
- 1:31:34Speaker 3: twenty million dollars for let's go to the high end
- 1:31:37Speaker 3: of that one six months of work okay, pretty good?
- 1:31:40Speaker 2: Yeah, not bad?
- 1:31:43Speaker 3: Hey, Okay, Sometimes when he's out, like eating at restaurant,
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: he's just.
- 1:31:46Speaker 8: Picture, oh yeah, after this, we'll never see him again.
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: Jeff you're one of the biggest defenders of Lebron James.
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: Oh wait, oh no, oh wait, did you see the
- 1:31:57Speaker 3: latest we like to we like to make fun of Lebron.
- 1:32:00Speaker 3: There's these kids, Like, there's these little kids hanging out
- 1:32:03Speaker 3: in the lobby looks like a hotel, right, and uh,
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: Lebron's walking through. He's pretending to be on the phone.
- 1:32:09Speaker 3: He's doing the pretend phone call.
- 1:32:11Speaker 2: Paras something was doing that twenty years ago. Yeah.
- 1:32:13Speaker 3: And the just the people that come to the defense of,
- 1:32:17Speaker 3: you know, Lebron, and about how exhausting it is, Like
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: you're not always walking through a lobby, you're not always
- 1:32:22Speaker 3: in a public place, right, You're about to be in
- 1:32:24Speaker 3: a private area, right, exactly. So take take the two
- 1:32:27Speaker 3: seconds to these little kids. They're like what eight dude, Yeah,
- 1:32:30Speaker 3: probably like eight nine years old.
- 1:32:32Speaker 9: And he's like yeah, yeah, yeah, you go into talk
- 1:32:34Speaker 9: you extra loud, which is the dad giveaway.
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: Yeah yeah, total take care of it, total phone call.
- 1:32:41Speaker 10: Man, Like you don't have to stop, and he at
- 1:32:44Speaker 10: least waves high. Yes, I can't start right now.
- 1:32:47Speaker 3: Yeah, even if he didn't sign any of the stuff,
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: but like, you know, leaning leaving for a selfie or something, man,
- 1:32:53Speaker 3: it's not it's not a big deal.
- 1:32:54Speaker 2: Exactly, it's really not a big deal.
- 1:32:56Speaker 3: We're so much better than he is. Congratulations everybody. We
- 1:32:59Speaker 3: have finally reached the point we're watching an entire TV
- 1:33:01Speaker 3: episode is considered too much of a commitment, speaking of
- 1:33:04Speaker 3: time commitment. Really, social media has eroded attention span so
- 1:33:08Speaker 3: bad that Hollywood is now dumping money into what they're
- 1:33:12Speaker 3: calling micro dramas, which are like these really short, super
- 1:33:16Speaker 3: short shows shot vertically so you can watch them running
- 1:33:20Speaker 3: your phone, and each episode is.
- 1:33:22Speaker 2: Just a few minutes long. Yeah, few minutes.
- 1:33:24Speaker 3: Yeah, but it has all the you know, the stuff
- 1:33:26Speaker 3: you want, the cheating, the murder, the billionaires, the revenge,
- 1:33:28Speaker 3: all the stuff that a regular TV show has, but
- 1:33:31Speaker 3: just now faster in three minutes or less.
- 1:33:33Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:33:35Speaker 3: Yeah, NBC, Universal and Fox they're already all over this.
- 1:33:39Speaker 3: The US micro drama business is expected to approach two billion.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: Dollars by next year.
- 1:33:44Speaker 5: Asia perfected it, and now it's just like kind of
- 1:33:48Speaker 5: just went everywhere trickling. But I think Equibi, if you
- 1:33:51Speaker 5: don't remember, that was what five years ago, they were
- 1:33:54Speaker 5: ten to twenty twenty.
- 1:33:56Speaker 3: Their thing is there, Episodes weren't sharable this social media.
- 1:34:01Speaker 3: So that's kind of where they failed, because like you
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: had to convince people that download some app you never
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: heard of, and the content on there was really good,
- 1:34:10Speaker 3: but people just couldn't find it and it wasn't being
- 1:34:13Speaker 3: shared on social media. A three minute episode. Yeah.
- 1:34:16Speaker 8: I think part of the problem was too though, is
- 1:34:20Speaker 8: that it was really gearing up, like then the pandemic hit,
- 1:34:22Speaker 8: and it was meant to kind of be like, you
- 1:34:23Speaker 8: can watch this, you know, when you have a quick
- 1:34:25Speaker 8: three minutes when you're out somewhere on your phone, and
- 1:34:28Speaker 8: then everyone was locked up and just watching their TV.
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: Yeah. I think at this point, I think Jeff and
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: I were debating about this. You like it when streaming
- 1:34:36Speaker 2: services released one episode at a time of a season
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: of a show.
- 1:34:40Speaker 9: I do like Apple TV's and notorious for that, and
- 1:34:42Speaker 9: I actually really like it because that's how I kind
- 1:34:44Speaker 9: of grew up. But you might need wait for you know,
- 1:34:47Speaker 9: Fridays or Thursdays for your favorite show, and with Apple TV,
- 1:34:50Speaker 9: like they'll do the first two and then you wait,
- 1:34:53Speaker 9: Like Greg.
- 1:34:54Speaker 2: We've evolved.
- 1:34:56Speaker 3: But see, I don't understand why you, of all people
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: don't like it, because Greg don't likes having a reservation
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: for dinner at a restaurant, but when he gets there,
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: he doesn't want the table to be ready. He says,
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: he likes the anticipation. I do.
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: He likes being told it's.
- 1:35:11Speaker 3: Gonna be a few minutes. Why don't you go have
- 1:35:13Speaker 3: a seed the bar. We'll let you know when your
- 1:35:15Speaker 3: table's right.
- 1:35:15Speaker 2: It's the massive caveat.
- 1:35:17Speaker 3: So if there's a show that you really like, like
- 1:35:19Speaker 3: the restaurant, the meal that you're really excited for, you
- 1:35:21Speaker 3: would think that you would be a person who would
- 1:35:23Speaker 3: you would like the anticipation, the look. They'll be able
- 1:35:26Speaker 3: to look.
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: Forward to see how it's a little bit hypocritical, But
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: in this day and age, we have progressed past this.
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: We don't have to be old school about it. And
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: if you want to quote look forward to the next episode,
- 1:35:38Speaker 2: don't watch the next episode, wait a week. But for
- 1:35:41Speaker 2: those of us who want to watch the whole thing,
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: release it all. It's in the can. We have the technology.
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: Why are we holding ourselves back?
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: Graig wants the binge for the one binge. His names
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: Rob King, He's the uh. He works for the Steelers.
- 1:35:53Speaker 3: He's the play by play announcer. For the radio for
- 1:35:55Speaker 3: the Steelers. He does a bunch of hockey for the
- 1:35:59Speaker 3: Penguins and everything else. He was talking about how for
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: the longest time he always worked nights because he was
- 1:36:04Speaker 3: doing Penguins games and Pirates games, and so for the
- 1:36:07Speaker 3: most of his adult life he would miss out on
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: all the shows because it wasn't streaming, and you know,
- 1:36:12Speaker 3: people weren't dvring. It's like, if you missed his example
- 1:36:16Speaker 3: was Seinfeld, you just never saw it. He goes, But
- 1:36:19Speaker 3: now that all these you know, series and stuff are
- 1:36:22Speaker 3: on demand and you can go back, it's like, now
- 1:36:24Speaker 3: I'm going back. And so I had so much envy
- 1:36:28Speaker 3: thinking about you haven't watched Breaking Bad yet, you haven't
- 1:36:32Speaker 3: watched Sopranos. Maybe yet, you haven't watched all the all
- 1:36:35Speaker 3: these things that he missed out on because he was working.
- 1:36:37Speaker 3: You're covering sports, you know sports. Does he not know
- 1:36:40Speaker 3: that Programmall VCRs are invented roughly nineteen eighty five. Yeah,
- 1:36:44Speaker 3: but that was a pain in the ass. My parents
- 1:36:45Speaker 3: figured it out, of course. But I'm saying, like, the
- 1:36:48Speaker 3: the ease I'm saying, but the ease of which now
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: like you can just go and you watch and it's
- 1:36:52Speaker 3: commercial free and all the other things. There's no setting
- 1:36:55Speaker 3: of anything.
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: You just go on.
- 1:36:56Speaker 3: You just watch it.
- 1:36:57Speaker 2: But like how which is how it should be.
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: I'm saying, But when you when you hear now about
- 1:37:00Speaker 3: somebody like dude, you never watched Sopranos and you know
- 1:37:05Speaker 3: that they're going to watch it and get to experience
- 1:37:06Speaker 3: it for the first time, it's one thing rewatching a series.
- 1:37:09Speaker 3: Did they not have TVO from where he's from?
- 1:37:11Speaker 2: Yeah, that's my thought. Menace echo.
- 1:37:14Speaker 10: Just he talked about the VCR I was speaking, he
- 1:37:19Speaker 10: went analog. I want what he's saying. But it can
- 1:37:23Speaker 10: also be true that he's an R word. Both things
- 1:37:25Speaker 10: could be true. I agree with the sentiment.
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: The point. The point is, I do get what you're saying.
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: When he think about you have I don't know how
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: long it's been like two decades or more of shows
- 1:37:35Speaker 3: that you are watch and you know which ones are good,
- 1:37:39Speaker 3: and it's the ones that everybody has talked about. It's
- 1:37:41Speaker 3: the ones that you know finished out there wasn't canceled
- 1:37:44Speaker 3: after two seasons.
- 1:37:45Speaker 2: I bet when he finds a show he loves, he
- 1:37:47Speaker 2: doesn't think I wish I had to wait a week
- 1:37:49Speaker 2: to watch the next.
- 1:37:50Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, and then wait until he sees it in color.
- 1:37:53Speaker 3: It's gonna be crazy.
- 1:37:56Speaker 2: Sound.
- 1:37:58Speaker 3: It's not just somebody playing it nineteen o one, it's.
- 1:38:05Speaker 2: A text over to two two nine eighty seven.
- 1:38:08Speaker 11: Get some more.
- 1:38:09Speaker 3: What the show coming up for you next? As what
- 1:38:12Speaker 3: you show?
- 1:38:14Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:38:14Speaker 3: Welcome back everybody, all right?
- 1:38:18Speaker 7: All right?
- 1:38:18Speaker 3: So Jeff, what do you think about the NFL possibly
- 1:38:24Speaker 3: having a team based internationally?
- 1:38:27Speaker 2: I mean it was always inevitable.
- 1:38:29Speaker 9: I think it sucks because it's more traveling too, man. Yeah,
- 1:38:31Speaker 9: and the fact that it comes on, you know, earlier
- 1:38:34Speaker 9: in the morning sucks. And then just the traveling for
- 1:38:36Speaker 9: the other teams that I got to go play him sucks.
- 1:38:39Speaker 9: With addictions on the country, I mean London would be
- 1:38:43Speaker 9: first for me, probably the Jaguars because the owner is
- 1:38:46Speaker 9: tied already with soccer over there.
- 1:38:48Speaker 3: So yeah, and they've had so many games, I mean
- 1:38:51Speaker 3: they've been doing that's where they've been doing most of
- 1:38:52Speaker 3: the games that they've been doing internationally for years now.
- 1:38:57Speaker 2: I know it's the NFL, not the IFL Right, get it.
- 1:39:00Speaker 2: I just don't get it. Yeah, I think it blows.
- 1:39:03Speaker 9: It's a money grab. And you knew that Roger Goodell
- 1:39:05Speaker 9: and then we're going to go there eventually. But it
- 1:39:06Speaker 9: still sucks to me because I just I think it
- 1:39:09Speaker 9: takes away kind of the luster, you know, especially.
- 1:39:11Speaker 2: If they do a super Bowl. Yeah that's the rumor, right.
- 1:39:14Speaker 3: Oh man, I mean not that I'm going to super
- 1:39:17Speaker 3: Bowl anyway.
- 1:39:18Speaker 2: It's just weird.
- 1:39:19Speaker 3: It's kind of you know, it's our thing totally right.
- 1:39:22Speaker 2: It's even called American football.
- 1:39:24Speaker 5: And like people are not interested over there at all.
- 1:39:27Speaker 8: And is that what they're going to do is just
- 1:39:28Speaker 8: take teams from here and put them over there. Are
- 1:39:30Speaker 8: they creating their own league somewhere else?
- 1:39:32Speaker 3: No, they're not not cuting their own league. It would
- 1:39:34Speaker 3: be an NFL team would be based whether it's an
- 1:39:37Speaker 3: expansion or whether some of like the Jaguars would be
- 1:39:41Speaker 3: you know, going over there.
- 1:39:43Speaker 9: You're a team that doesn't really draw a huge fan
- 1:39:45Speaker 9: base here that maybe they figure could be more profitable
- 1:39:48Speaker 9: over there. But to me, the super Bowl over there
- 1:39:50Speaker 9: is sacrilegious, Like that's just offensive. That is a straight
- 1:39:53Speaker 9: up money yeah, exactly.
- 1:39:55Speaker 3: But no timeline for it though. Canada or would just
- 1:40:00Speaker 3: like be huge. I mean, Mexico would be massive if
- 1:40:03Speaker 3: they had a team and.
- 1:40:04Speaker 9: I wouldn't honestly have a problem with that because the
- 1:40:06Speaker 9: travel is less, you know, and I think the time
- 1:40:08Speaker 9: zones are you know, reflective. I think, yeah, it's still
- 1:40:10Speaker 9: stay close to the model that we're watching now, but
- 1:40:13Speaker 9: when somewhere's seven or nine hours ahead, that blows.
- 1:40:16Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:40:17Speaker 7: Uh.
- 1:40:17Speaker 3: The MTV vm A nominations, this is man. Talk about
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: how about that for throwback right that has man that
- 1:40:28Speaker 3: that was such a big deal for the longest time.
- 1:40:30Speaker 3: MTV doesn't even play anything anymore. It's just all ridiculousness
- 1:40:34Speaker 3: pretty much marathons and the challenge like that shows. Yeah,
- 1:40:38Speaker 3: they don't really they don't really do anything, but it
- 1:40:41Speaker 3: is funny.
- 1:40:42Speaker 2: Man, like Menace.
- 1:40:43Speaker 3: You had made an observation about the music charts and
- 1:40:48Speaker 3: about how it's like, uh, Michael Jackson like, yeah, it's
- 1:40:51Speaker 3: like top five in Billboard one hundred. It's insane. Yeah,
- 1:40:55Speaker 3: Madonna is sixty eight years old, and I think the
- 1:40:58Speaker 3: nominations came out Chile. Everybody Madonna has eleven VMA nominations.
- 1:41:04Speaker 2: Well she had a new album, yeah, for the first
- 1:41:06Speaker 2: time in seventeen hundred years.
- 1:41:08Speaker 3: Well even on TikTok in the top fifty songs is
- 1:41:10Speaker 3: a lot of just like throwback stuff, and then that's
- 1:41:13Speaker 3: how the younger kids are discovering it because of TikTok
- 1:41:16Speaker 3: and social media. The VMAs are September twenty seventh. But
- 1:41:22Speaker 3: I mean, you know, good for them. I guess they
- 1:41:25Speaker 3: could still make it happen.
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: It's got to be costly to just put on one
- 1:41:29Speaker 2: of those shows, right, yeah, although I got to be
- 1:41:31Speaker 2: worth it.
- 1:41:32Speaker 3: I did see somebody had posted about this MTV VMAs
- 1:41:37Speaker 3: get rid of the rock category for the twenty twenty
- 1:41:39Speaker 3: six awards.
- 1:41:41Speaker 2: Oh not surprising.
- 1:41:43Speaker 3: Yeah, done away with the rock category, which they've had
- 1:41:45Speaker 3: since nineteen eighty nine.
- 1:41:48Speaker 2: That's yeah.
- 1:41:49Speaker 3: Now they do have the best alternative nominees, which is Geese,
- 1:41:55Speaker 3: who I've never heard of.
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: Oh Geese, Yeah, I heard of them.
- 1:41:58Speaker 3: Dude, Geese is actually good. But when I saw him
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: on SNL, like, I thought, like, this is maybe the
- 1:42:04Speaker 3: worst thing I've ever seen in my life. But then
- 1:42:08Speaker 3: at a music festival there they sounded way different, so
- 1:42:10Speaker 3: I don't know what was going on there. Well, they're
- 1:42:13Speaker 3: nominated in the alternative category along with MGK and Fred Durst.
- 1:42:17Speaker 3: Fix your face no con okay, that's alive.
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: Well, I think the term alternative is eventually gonna Olivia Rodrigo.
- 1:42:26Speaker 5: Really what yeah, because well a lot of her influence
- 1:42:29Speaker 5: of her music comes from influence from alternative music.
- 1:42:33Speaker 2: She's kind of like pop rock.
- 1:42:35Speaker 3: I guess yeah, you know somber Yeah, yeah, Lame and
- 1:42:39Speaker 3: Paula and then twenty one Pilots. Those are those are
- 1:42:43Speaker 3: the nominating and that's as closed you get. There's no
- 1:42:44Speaker 3: other kind of there's no rock category for the VMAs. Again, really,
- 1:42:50Speaker 3: who cares?
- 1:42:50Speaker 7: Well?
- 1:42:51Speaker 5: If things were right at this point, twenty one Pilots
- 1:42:53Speaker 5: would win that or Tame and Paula, even though you're
- 1:42:56Speaker 5: not a fan.
- 1:42:56Speaker 3: Well, it depends on who's gonna go. H if they
- 1:42:59Speaker 3: can get Olivia or Rodrie go there. Oh she'll win, yeah, yeah,
- 1:43:02Speaker 3: because she has the most people on social media. She'll
- 1:43:05Speaker 3: drag the most people there to watch her show. Except
- 1:43:09Speaker 3: the award the most tune ins eight seven, seven forty four,
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: Woody send us a text over to two to nine
- 1:43:15Speaker 3: eighty seven, will be right back.
- 1:43:17Speaker 2: More fun than goner Rhea. I mean, I've had Gonerie
- 1:43:19Speaker 2: a few times and I'd say I haven't had gone show.

- 1:43:48Speaker 3: a bullet on this Wednesday.
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: Well, being liked by everyone is the job of a whore.
- 1:43:58Speaker 3: That's my favorite one in a long time. Yeah, you're not, hey, guys, Newsflights.
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: You're not supposed to be liked by everybody. If you're
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: being your authentic self, you should never be liked by everybody.
- 1:44:08Speaker 3: And if you are, that means you are a pandering idiot. No,
- 1:44:13Speaker 3: because you're just telling you people what they want to hear.
- 1:44:16Speaker 3: You're not being your authentic self. If you're loved by everybody,
- 1:44:19Speaker 3: liked by everybody, you are not being authentic, correct, And
- 1:44:22Speaker 3: that's gross. And that's the job of a whore, exactly right,
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: And they're gross.
- 1:44:26Speaker 2: So that makes a lot of time.
- 1:44:28Speaker 3: All right, Thank you very much, Greg Gory, Thank you
- 1:44:31Speaker 3: so much for giving the show some of your valuable
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: time this morning. You know we'd love it, appreciate you
- 1:44:35Speaker 3: for that. The rest of you guys can suck it.
- 1:44:37Speaker 3: Catch you back here on Thursday. Have a great day.
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: SMD double M. I quit this bitch.
