- 0:00Speaker 1: What's up everyone and welcome to another episode of the
- 0:03Speaker 1: Epstein Chronicles. In this episode, we're going to pick up
- 0:06Speaker 1: where we left off with the Hillary Clinton transcript from
- 0:09Speaker 1: her trip to Congress. Lauren Boebert, I will get those
- 0:14Speaker 1: and I'll skip that question until she gets cut off
- 0:18Speaker 1: by Comer, but an audible woman asked generally if she
- 0:21Speaker 1: was aware. Lawyer, generally she's asking if she's aware of
- 0:25Speaker 1: specific information that is in the files that that you're
- 0:29Speaker 1: all relying on. Please provide the witness with copies of
- 0:32Speaker 1: that material. Chairman Comer, if the client doesn't know or
- 0:36Speaker 1: has no recollection, she's welcome to state so. Lawyer, we're
- 0:40Speaker 1: also welcome to actually see the information that you're taking today. Comer, again,
- 0:45Speaker 1: the representative is asking general questions. Clinton, I mean, I
- 0:49Speaker 1: expected a lot of interesting questions today, but Pizzagate was
- 0:52Speaker 1: not on my list. Boebert, that's okay. We're asking all
- 0:55Speaker 1: sorts of things here. Answer, you certainly are. You certainly are. Question,
- 1:01Speaker 1: we're just trying to get the truth out of the
- 1:03Speaker 1: American people with some clarity. Clinton, well, that would be
- 1:06Speaker 1: very helpful. Question, are you aware of any files that
- 1:11Speaker 1: were on Anthony Weiner's laptop in a folder that was
- 1:13Speaker 1: titled Insurance, Life Insurance, with a zip file titled Frazzle Drip? Lawyer,
- 1:20Speaker 1: excuse me, Chairman's ruling. Lawyer, this is way outside of
- 1:23Speaker 1: the scope. Another lawyer, is this in the scope? Is
- 1:27Speaker 1: this within the scope, Mr. Chairman? Boebert, if the chairman rules,
- 1:32Speaker 1: that's not within the scope. I have other questions. Mr. Chairman,
- 1:36Speaker 1: based on what you said in the public hearing, is
- 1:38Speaker 1: this within the scope? Hillary's lawyer asks, Chairman, we can
- 1:41Speaker 1: go off the record for a moment. They come back on. Mr. Chairman,
- 1:45Speaker 1: is this within the scope? They go off the record.
- 1:48Speaker 1: Now they come back on. Question, Madam Clinton, you've stated
- 1:53Speaker 1: that you do not recall meeting Jeffrey Epstein and having
- 1:55Speaker 1: no links to him. Have you reviewed any photos, emails,
- 1:59Speaker 1: or records from the released Epstein files that might refresh
- 2:02Speaker 1: your recollection of any encounter, event, or introduction involving them?
- 2:06Speaker 1: Once again, the lawyer jumps in. Excuse me? Before, you
- 2:10Speaker 1: were stating that with respect to an interview or with
- 2:13Speaker 1: respect to what she has stated here today? Answer, I'm
- 2:16Speaker 1: asking in general, has anything that you have viewed since
- 2:20Speaker 1: the release of the Epstein files brought any sort of
- 2:22Speaker 1: recollection of an encounter with Epstein? Answer, not that I recall. Question,
- 2:28Speaker 1: you acknowledge meeting Glenn Maxwell on a few occasions in
- 2:31Speaker 1: connection with a global initiative. Please describe each meeting in detail. Answer,
- 2:37Speaker 1: I did not. Actually, in response to a question which
- 2:40Speaker 1: posited that she had come to the Clinton Global Initiative
- 2:43Speaker 1: in 2013, I stated I did not have any involvement
- 2:47Speaker 1: in that and I didn't recall seeing her there. But
- 2:49Speaker 1: I have seen photos that she has been there. And
- 2:53Speaker 1: in 2013, she was very active promoting this ocean work
- 2:56Speaker 1: that she was doing. And apparently everybody from the UN
- 2:59Speaker 1: to CNN to the TED Talk people thought it was
- 3:01Speaker 1: worth giving her a platform. Question. Madam Clinton, one of
- 3:05Speaker 1: the jobs you did for the CGI was helping and
- 3:07Speaker 1: maybe even directing and planning of the annual meetings. Is
- 3:10Speaker 1: that correct? Answer. No. The staff plans the annual meeting
- 3:15Speaker 1: and they make a report and we offer suggestions. Question.
- 3:20Speaker 1: In 2013, Maxwell was recognized ASA committed to Action Leader. Clinton,
- 3:26Speaker 1: she made a commitment in 2013, along with hundreds, maybe
- 3:29Speaker 1: thousands of other people. Question, so I find it notable
- 3:33Speaker 1: that in 2011, Doug Band says that he directed the
- 3:36Speaker 1: Clinton Foundation staff to bar Maxwell from receiving an invite
- 3:39Speaker 1: to CGI or the Clinton Foundation events. I'd like to
- 3:43Speaker 1: know who overruled Doug Band's suggestion to bar Maxwell. Lawyer, objection,
- 3:48Speaker 1: based on hearsay, states facts, not in evidence. You can
- 3:51Speaker 1: ask the witness if she knows anything about it. Answer,
- 3:54Speaker 1: I know nothing about it. Question by the chairman. One moment, Ms. Boebert.
- 3:58Speaker 1: The federal rules of evidence don't apply in depositions. Clinton,
- 4:01Speaker 1: that's fine. I don't know anything about it. Boebert, okay.
- 4:06Speaker 1: And so would you also not have any indication that
- 4:10Speaker 1: who she was personally recommended by to receive such an order? Answer,
- 4:15Speaker 1: I was secretary of state. I was not involved in
- 4:17Speaker 1: the CGI planning or operation agreement. Question, your husband presented
- 4:22Speaker 1: that award or is that true? Answer, I have no idea. Question, okay.
- 4:27Speaker 1: And then just a couple more questions. So regarding the
- 4:29Speaker 1: Epstein files, there are many files where Jeffrey Epstein seems
- 4:32Speaker 1: to speak as though he does know you personally. In
- 4:35Speaker 1: one file, EFTA 0657115, Mr. Epstein is commenting and he quotes, Hey,
- 4:42Speaker 1: Hillary Clinton is much prettier in person. This was Tuesday,
- 4:46Speaker 1: September 20th, 2011. Hillary Clinton, I'm going to object to that.
- 4:53Speaker 1: Lawyer jumps in, Congresswoman, can we see the documents because
- 4:56Speaker 1: we don't think. Lawyer says, we should get that document.
- 5:00Speaker 1: Bober just keeps going. Question, Jeffrey Epstein has also commented
- 5:04Speaker 1: that meetings with Hillary are not easily discreet. Has he
- 5:07Speaker 1: ever connected someone to meet with you? Answer, not that
- 5:10Speaker 1: I'm aware of. Question, okay, I'm going to let my
- 5:13Speaker 1: colleagues ask some questions. Maybe I'll be back. Thank you. Speaker,
- 5:17Speaker 1: thank you. And we'll let staff. Speaker jumps in, Secretary Clinton.
- 5:23Speaker 1: Just to circle back to a few things, you mentioned
- 5:26Speaker 1: that your daughter, Chelsea, had a friendly relationship. Is that
- 5:28Speaker 1: correct with Ms. Maxwell? Answer, I believe so. Question, and
- 5:32Speaker 1: did Chelsea tell you what made that relationship friendly? Answer again,
- 5:36Speaker 1: it was through Ted Waite, the longtime friend of ours.
- 5:38Speaker 1: That's how I certainly met her. Question, so Chelsea met
- 5:42Speaker 1: Ghislaine through Ted Waite as well? Answer, I believe that's right. Question,
- 5:46Speaker 1: and I believe that you testified earlier, Ted Waite's been
- 5:48Speaker 1: a family friend for 30 years or something to that effect. Answer,
- 5:53Speaker 1: early 90s, yes. Question, and having a friend that long,
- 5:56Speaker 1: you never discussed Ms. Maxwell with Mr. Waite? Answer, I
- 6:00Speaker 1: don't discuss the relationship of my friends. That's up to them. Question,
- 6:03Speaker 1: and to be clear, you never discussed Ms. Maxwell's relationship
- 6:07Speaker 1: with Mr. Waite? Answer, not that I recall. My memory
- 6:11Speaker 1: is that shortly after the wedding on July 31st, 2010,
- 6:14Speaker 1: shortly after that, they broke up. And shortly after that,
- 6:17Speaker 1: he married somebody else. I know nothing about the relationship.
- 6:21Speaker 1: I'm just describing what I believe was the chronology. Question understood.
- 6:25Speaker 1: And upon that breakup, as you said, Mr. Waite never
- 6:28Speaker 1: said anything to the effect of why they broke up?
- 6:31Speaker 1: Answer not to me. He didn't. Question. And circling the
- 6:35Speaker 1: 2013 CGI annual conference that's been brought up on a
- 6:39Speaker 1: few occasions today. Clinton, yeah, indeed. Question. I believe you
- 6:43Speaker 1: said you didn't remember seeing Ms. Maxwell there. Is that correct? Answer.
- 6:47Speaker 1: I don't recall seeing her there. Question. and you had
- 6:50Speaker 1: no interaction with her at all? Answer, not that I recall. Question,
- 6:54Speaker 1: after this 2013 annual conference at CGI, did anyone raise
- 6:58Speaker 1: any concerns to you about Ms. Maxwell being there? Answer,
- 7:02Speaker 1: not that I recall. Question, separate from the 2013 event,
- 7:07Speaker 1: did Mr. Band ever raise concerns about Maxwell to you? Answer,
- 7:11Speaker 1: not that I recall. Question, and again, just to clarify,
- 7:14Speaker 1: did Mr. Band ever attempt to blacklist Ms. Maxwell? From
- 7:18Speaker 1: any Clinton Foundation or CGI event? Answer, not that I
- 7:21Speaker 1: know of, but I can't say that I would have known. Question,
- 7:25Speaker 1: when did Mr. Band leave the foundation? Answer, I don't know.
- 7:28Speaker 1: I don't know. Question, does 2012 sound possible? Answer, I
- 7:33Speaker 1: don't know. It was during my time as Secretary of State.
- 7:38Speaker 1: I wouldn't have an answer to no. Question, who would
- 7:41Speaker 1: have final decisions over the list of individuals or entities
- 7:44Speaker 1: that would get recognized at a CGI event? Answer, it
- 7:48Speaker 1: was a staff decision. Question, if the staff made the decision,
- 7:52Speaker 1: would the board have any input on that? Answer, not
- 7:54Speaker 1: that I'm aware of. They might make suggestions as to
- 7:58Speaker 1: people that should be contacted or followed up with. But
- 8:01Speaker 1: I don't know specifically that I certainly don't know anything
- 8:04Speaker 1: about her involvement. Question understood and suggestions. What type of
- 8:08Speaker 1: suggestions would they make on individuals or entities? Answer, oh,
- 8:13Speaker 1: they might say this person's doing great work on affordable
- 8:16Speaker 1: housing or this person. has done some really exciting hygiene work,
- 8:20Speaker 1: trying to improve the well-being of people in some countries.
- 8:24Speaker 1: It would be things like that. So maybe invite the
- 8:27Speaker 1: person because we can maybe introduce this person to somebody
- 8:31Speaker 1: who's interested in doing the same kind of work. And
- 8:33Speaker 1: maybe they can make a commitment together. Question, are you
- 8:37Speaker 1: aware of President Clinton having lunch or other types of
- 8:39Speaker 1: meals with Ms. Maxwell in 2014? Answer, I don't recall
- 8:44Speaker 1: knowing that. Question, have you since been made aware of
- 8:47Speaker 1: the fact Answer, yes, I have been. Question, and was
- 8:50Speaker 1: that in preparation for the deposition? Answer, it was. Question,
- 8:55Speaker 1: are you aware of any other more recent meetings between
- 8:58Speaker 1: Maxwell and any members of your family? Answer, I am not. Question,
- 9:02Speaker 1: does the Clinton Foundation often use jets of other individuals
- 9:05Speaker 1: for foundation business? Answer, yes. Question, and that's still a
- 9:09Speaker 1: common practice today? Answer, I don't know how common it is,
- 9:13Speaker 1: but it has been in the past. Question, And were
- 9:16Speaker 1: there any other type of aircraft that you were aware
- 9:19Speaker 1: of President Clinton traveling on with Epstein? Answer, not that
- 9:22Speaker 1: I'm aware of. Question, Secretary Clinton. Do you know who
- 9:26Speaker 1: Nicholas Sarkozy is? Answer, I do. The former president of France. Question,
- 9:30Speaker 1: and do you recall when he was president of France? Answer,
- 9:34Speaker 1: he was president while I was Secretary of State, but
- 9:36Speaker 1: I don't know his actual years of term. Question, I'm
- 9:39Speaker 1: going to introduce his Majority Exhibit 17. An email from
- 9:43Speaker 1: the Department of Justice release of the Epstein-related files. Just
- 9:46Speaker 1: give us a second. We'll provide that to you all. Lawyer, also,
- 9:51Speaker 1: while we have a break, I think Congressman Perry, we
- 9:54Speaker 1: wound up with at least three of your pages here,
- 9:56Speaker 1: two pages. So they get back to it. Secretary Clinton,
- 10:02Speaker 1: this is an email, the top of the page says,
- 10:04Speaker 1: to Olivier Cologne. I will stipulate to you that he
- 10:09Speaker 1: was an advisor to President Sarkozy. It's bait-stamped EFTA 019-49592.
- 10:15Speaker 1: The original email here is from Mr. Cologne, and he asked,
- 10:19Speaker 1: could you organize a discreet meeting between Sarko and Hillary
- 10:22Speaker 1: Clinton in New York? If not, who should I ask? Mr.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Epstein replies, meetings with Hillary are not easily discreet. When?
- 10:30Speaker 1: We started to touch on this earlier. Are you aware
- 10:33Speaker 1: of Mr. Epstein or any of his staff reaching out
- 10:36Speaker 1: to anyone on your staff to set up a meeting? Answer,
- 10:39Speaker 1: I am not aware, and I find it kind of
- 10:40Speaker 1: weird because I know Sarkozy. If somebody was seeking a
- 10:44Speaker 1: meeting with me and Sarkozy, he would not have needed
- 10:46Speaker 1: to go through anybody else. He could have contacted me directly.
- 10:50Speaker 1: Question understood. And just to be clear, have you seen
- 10:52Speaker 1: this email exchange previously? Answer yes. Question, and that was
- 10:57Speaker 1: in preparation for your deposition. Answer yes. Question, but no
- 11:01Speaker 1: prior awareness of this email chain? Answer, none whatsoever. Question,
- 11:06Speaker 1: did Mr. Epstein or any of his agents attempt to
- 11:09Speaker 1: set up any other meetings with you? Answer, not that
- 11:11Speaker 1: I know of. but I have no idea what they
- 11:13Speaker 1: thought they were trying to do. Question, Secretary Clinton. We've
- 11:17Speaker 1: touched on this a little bit, but just to make
- 11:18Speaker 1: sure the record is totally clear here. Have you said
- 11:21Speaker 1: that you've never been to Mr. Epstein's island? Is that correct? Answer,
- 11:25Speaker 1: you know what? I'm so tired of answering that question.
- 11:28Speaker 1: If you have one scintilla of evidence to the contrary,
- 11:30Speaker 1: put it forward. I've never been on the island, period.
- 11:33Speaker 1: I've never been in his homes, his offices, his anything.
- 11:36Speaker 1: So I don't know how many times you have to
- 11:38Speaker 1: say the same thing over and over and over again.
- 11:40Speaker 1: and I'm just struggling with the relevance of all of this,
- 11:43Speaker 1: but no, I never have been. Question, and based off
- 11:45Speaker 1: that response, that would include, you have never been to Mr.
- 11:48Speaker 1: Epstein's Manhattan townhome? Answer, no. His New Mexico ranch, no.
- 11:54Speaker 1: His Palm Beach residence, no. His Paris apartment, no. I
- 11:58Speaker 1: didn't know he had one. Haven't been there. Also find
- 12:01Speaker 1: it very interesting because I went back and looked at
- 12:03Speaker 1: the transcripts of all your other depositions, and none of
- 12:06Speaker 1: the Republicans asked a single question to any witness about
- 12:09Speaker 1: Jeffrey Epstein, or any question that would help provide answers
- 12:12Speaker 1: for his victims to any of the people you deposed.
- 12:15Speaker 1: In fact, the only questions that were asked were asked
- 12:17Speaker 1: by the chairman to Attorney General Barr. And what was
- 12:20Speaker 1: that about? They weren't about Jeffrey Epstein. They weren't about
- 12:23Speaker 1: Glenn Maxwell. They weren't about his victims or survivors. They
- 12:26Speaker 1: were General Barr. I may jump in for a couple questions.
- 12:29Speaker 1: Were you aware of the involvement of Hillary Clinton and
- 12:32Speaker 1: the Clinton campaign in Russian collusion investigation involving Trump? Chairman Comer,
- 12:38Speaker 1: this is a deposition, Ms. Clinton. She cuts him off. Well,
- 12:41Speaker 1: I'm just saying you have kept me here for four
- 12:43Speaker 1: hours asking the same questions over and over again. I've
- 12:46Speaker 1: given the same answers over and over again. Comer, Madam Secretary,
- 12:50Speaker 1: we will. Clinton, not a single Republican. Comer, if you
- 12:53Speaker 1: could give us just a minute, gets cut off again
- 12:55Speaker 1: by Hillary Clinton. At any of your depositions, has asked
- 12:59Speaker 1: a question about Epstein or Maxwell. And it does seem
- 13:01Speaker 1: to me that if the members were truly interested in
- 13:03Speaker 1: getting to the truth, you would have asked Barr, Acosta, Wexner.
- 13:07Speaker 1: You didn't even show up. Comer, Madam Secretary, I believe
- 13:10Speaker 1: we are very close to finishing. Lawyer, or the person
- 13:15Speaker 1: asking the questions, Madam Secretary, did Jeffrey Epstein ever request
- 13:18Speaker 1: any meeting with your State Department officials? Answer, not that
- 13:22Speaker 1: I'm aware of. Lawyer jumps in, that's been asked and answered, Counsel.
- 13:26Speaker 1: She said she's never talked to him. She said that repeatedly. Clinton, well,
- 13:30Speaker 1: I guess they have to hear it over and over again.
- 13:34Speaker 1: Person asking the questions, I think he can rely on
- 13:37Speaker 1: your previous answer. Clinton, yeah, whatever. Question, did Maxwell ever
- 13:41Speaker 1: request any meeting between you and your State Department officials? Clinton,
- 13:45Speaker 1: not that I'm aware of. Question, are you aware of
- 13:47Speaker 1: any communication between your State Department staff and Mr. Epstein
- 13:51Speaker 1: or Ms. Maxwell? Answer, I am not. Lawyer, yeah, it's
- 13:56Speaker 1: the third and final round. She's staying. Next up, asking questions,
- 14:01Speaker 1: Nancy Mace. And that's where we're going to pick up
- 14:04Speaker 1: in the next episode. All the information that goes with
- 14:07Speaker 1: this episode can be found in the description box.
