- 0:00Hello. Welcome to the No God Coach
- 0:02Huddle for May 13, 2025. You're tuning a
- 0:06play of the day for applying God's word
- 0:08in your life. So, let's huddle up. And
- 0:10here today's play from Acts 14, which
- 0:13says, "Friends, why are you doing this?
- 0:15We too are only human like you. We are
- 0:18bringing you good news, telling you to
- 0:20turn from these worthless things to the
- 0:22living God, who made the heavens and the
- 0:24earth, the sea, and everything in them.
- 0:26In the past, he let all nations go their
- 0:29own way. Yet, he has not left himself
- 0:31without testimony. He has shown kindness
- 0:34by giving you rain from heaven and crops
- 0:36in their seasons. He provides you with
- 0:38plenty of food and fills your heart with
- 0:40joy, strengthening the disciples and
- 0:43encouraging them to remain true to the
- 0:45faith. We must go through many hardships
- 0:48to enter the kingdom of God. They said,
- 0:51"There's only one true God, and there's
- 0:54only one way to please that God, which
- 0:56is by faith in Jesus for salvation
- 0:59alone, proven by allegiance to Jesus
- 1:01through obedience to everything he
- 1:03commanded." God has been working with
- 1:05humanity since creation to keep us in a
- 1:08relationship with himself. This work
- 1:10culminated in Jesus coming to earth as
- 1:12God himself to sacrifice himself for the
- 1:15purchase of humanity, which has all
- 1:18rebelled against him. Even though he has
- 1:20continued to show humanity patience,
- 1:22love, and kindness, God created a people
- 1:25for himself through whom he would reveal
- 1:28himself by their obedience to his ways.
- 1:30They didn't obey, but they also rebelled
- 1:33against him. After God came in Jesus and
- 1:36rose from the dead, having successfully
- 1:38paid the penalty for human rebellion, he
- 1:41now gives his holy spirit, his very
- 1:44presence to his people to transform them
- 1:47into his image. As Jesus lived a holy
- 1:50life of suffering, the people of God are
- 1:53to live holy lives. Dead to self, but
- 1:55alive to God, sacrificing themselves in
- 1:58time, treasure, and even life for the
- 2:01work of restoring all people to God
- 2:04through Jesus the Savior. God's first
- 2:06people were given land and required to
- 2:09give back a tithe from that land to God.
- 2:11God's new people are given his spirit
- 2:14and required to give everything to God
- 2:16for seeing his kingdom come and his will
- 2:18be done on earth as it is in heaven.
- 2:21God's first people were stewards of a
- 2:23piece of this earth. God's new people
- 2:26are commanded to go into all the earth
- 2:28as stewards of the message of God's love
- 2:30and work done in Jesus the savior to
- 2:33give this message to everyone.
- 2:36suffering and persecution will result in
- 2:38the lives of the faithful who proclaim
- 2:41the one true God in the one true way for
- 2:43reconciliation with that God. But so too
- 2:46did God suffer when he was with us as
- 2:48one of us when he died on the cross for
- 2:51all of us. As he was raised from the
- 2:53dead, so too shall all those who have
- 2:55given everything for his purposes be
- 2:58raised from the dead to live forever
- 3:00with God on a new earth, receiving their
- 3:03eternal l reward of life abundantly.
