- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, welcome back to another episode of Inside the Bus.
- 0:03Speaker 2: This is episode thirty two.
- 0:05Speaker 1: I am bringing this one in because within a month
- 0:08Speaker 1: I will be turning thirty two. It's gonna be the
- 0:10Speaker 1: biggest year yet. It's the shack year of my life.
- 0:15Speaker 1: Oh Peel's I mean, our guest is here. You can
- 0:19Speaker 1: see him on screen with me. It's the only other
- 0:20Speaker 1: guy that's older than me. So I feel like unk true,
- 0:25Speaker 1: unk dude.
- 0:25Speaker 3: That's how I started feeling towards the end of my
- 0:29Speaker 3: time here in Busting Dude. I was like, man, this
- 0:32Speaker 3: is a young man's game.
- 0:33Speaker 4: Du Yeah. I Like when I got hired, I was
- 0:35Speaker 4: twenty four, so I'm sure makes you feel super old.
- 0:39Speaker 3: No, for sure.
- 0:40Speaker 4: Man.
- 0:40Speaker 3: I was like, dang out, what point am I gonna
- 0:42Speaker 3: start growing up? Because when you work around guys that
- 0:46Speaker 3: are young, keeps you young, right, But at some point you.
- 0:51Speaker 2: Yeah, go ahead.
- 0:52Speaker 5: I'll say for those listening on audio, that voice you
- 0:55Speaker 5: hear might be a familiar voice. It is the original
- 0:58Speaker 5: voice of the back of the bus, the man that
- 1:01Speaker 5: walked so that we could run. It is bloss Hernandez.
- 1:06Speaker 3: I appreciate you saying that, man. That really means a
- 1:09Speaker 3: lot I mean even being you know, a little bit
- 1:12Speaker 3: removed from the bus. You know, I try not to
- 1:14Speaker 3: hang around too much because you know, it's like nobody
- 1:16Speaker 3: likes the guy who just keeps hanging around who's been here.
- 1:19Speaker 6: I mean the freshman in college who comes back high school. No,
- 1:22Speaker 6: but you you are so different than that. I think
- 1:24Speaker 6: of anything people.
- 1:25Speaker 7: Who are like, dang, where's bloss right?
- 1:28Speaker 2: The question that keeps getting asked.
- 1:30Speaker 4: You guys will have to tell that story because.
- 1:33Speaker 5: Oh we have to talk about the trip to Vermont.
- 1:36Speaker 2: Oh yeah we will.
- 1:37Speaker 5: Was it Vermont?
- 1:38Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:39Speaker 3: Guys went back?
- 1:40Speaker 1: No?
- 1:40Speaker 3: No, no, yeah, we definitely will. Man, dude, it's just uh,
- 1:50Speaker 3: like I said, man, seeing the evolution of what's happened
- 1:55Speaker 3: with busting and then like you guys, man, like obviously
- 1:58Speaker 3: Will and Taylor, you know, they have a lot going on.
- 2:00Speaker 3: But to see you guys start this and to watch
- 2:03Speaker 3: like your individual like growth through social media, dude, has
- 2:06Speaker 3: been such a treat. Anytime I get an opportunity to
- 2:09Speaker 3: just comment or like or whatever and show love, man,
- 2:11Speaker 3: like I try to do that. I'm not the greatest
- 2:13Speaker 3: about it, but just know that, like I'm rooting for
- 2:16Speaker 3: each and every one of you man.
- 2:17Speaker 5: For sure, when when you're first meeting with Will, you
- 2:21Speaker 5: can break down how you met up with Will for
- 2:22Speaker 5: the very first time. But before you get into that,
- 2:26Speaker 5: when you did meet with him for the first time,
- 2:28Speaker 5: did you see it getting to where it is now
- 2:30Speaker 5: or was it more just like, let's see, I know
- 2:32Speaker 5: Will's talented, but I wonder how he'll be able to
- 2:34Speaker 5: scale it. Yeah.
- 2:36Speaker 3: No, So honestly, my first reaction and do you want
- 2:41Speaker 3: me to kind of go into the story of how
- 2:42Speaker 3: I got Yeah, for sure, it'll lead to that obviously.
- 2:45Speaker 3: But so at the time, I had just got out
- 2:47Speaker 3: of the Army and I moved from Hawaii to Tennessee.
- 2:51Speaker 3: And I chose Tennessee because, well, it was a little
- 2:55Speaker 3: it wasn't California. I didn't want to go back to California,
- 2:57Speaker 3: right and I didn't want to stay in Hawaii because
- 2:59Speaker 3: it was too expense. If and I don't care what
- 3:01Speaker 3: anybody says, if you're on an island for three years,
- 3:05Speaker 3: it's kind of boring, Like you could only hike, you
- 3:08Speaker 3: could only surf, you could only do so many of
- 3:11Speaker 3: those same activities before you want something different, man, and
- 3:15Speaker 3: you're limited on who comes here. So like right as
- 3:18Speaker 3: far as like you know, shows, comedians, all that stuff,
- 3:22Speaker 3: Like you're not getting any of that stuff unless it's
- 3:24Speaker 3: somebody I like a retirement toward just kind of like
- 3:28Speaker 3: you know, paying like giving back to those those people
- 3:30Speaker 3: who supported him. So you're not getting any of the
- 3:32Speaker 3: new town Like Taylor Swift ain't coming to why right,
- 3:35Speaker 3: but you know she's not maybe because he's on the
- 3:38Speaker 3: back end. But yeah, So I was kind of over that.
- 3:43Speaker 3: Tennessee held a special place in my heart because this
- 3:45Speaker 3: is where I deployed from Afghanistan from. There was just
- 3:49Speaker 3: a lot of pride that I had in the unit
- 3:51Speaker 3: that I served here, So I just wanted to come back.
- 3:54Speaker 3: That southern hospitality really left a mark on me. So
- 3:58Speaker 3: I chose Tennessee and also pushed me out of my
- 4:01Speaker 3: comfort zone, right, like not being around family, you tend
- 4:03Speaker 3: to just kind of like, hey, if shit goes wrong,
- 4:06Speaker 3: like at least I got my family. When when you've
- 4:08Speaker 3: moved to a different state knowing like one person, like
- 4:12Speaker 3: your back's against the wall, like you got to make
- 4:13Speaker 3: it happen, right, So that was kind of a mentality
- 4:16Speaker 3: that I went into it with, and you know, I
- 4:20Speaker 3: started doing some real estate photography and stuff like that,
- 4:24Speaker 3: and ended up getting hired by a luxury realtor at
- 4:28Speaker 3: the time who was doing like I think he was
- 4:30Speaker 3: selling like Derrick Henry's house, Pecorine's house, so like these
- 4:35Speaker 3: houses I was going to. I was just like, Wow,
- 4:37Speaker 3: this is incredible, but also like you know, in hopes
- 4:40Speaker 3: to make more connections and stuff like that, because everybody knows, like, dude,
- 4:45Speaker 3: you can have all the talent in the world, man,
- 4:47Speaker 3: but if that door isn't opened for you, or if
- 4:49Speaker 3: that opportunity doesn't present itself, like good luck, you know.
- 4:54Speaker 3: But now with social media, I mean you're able to
- 4:56Speaker 3: put yourself out there a little bit more, so it helps.
- 4:58Speaker 3: But yeah, man. So I was working, you know with
- 5:02Speaker 3: him and filming houses and stuff like that. And then
- 5:07Speaker 3: I was standing in an apartment with my buddy Aaron
- 5:09Speaker 3: at the time, and he had got contacted from a
- 5:13Speaker 3: friend of his and he was like, Hey, there's these
- 5:15Speaker 3: two NFL players who are trying to start a podcast
- 5:18Speaker 3: and they're looking for for like producers and stuff. My
- 5:21Speaker 3: buddy Erin was fortunate enough to like work for ESPN,
- 5:25Speaker 3: so he kind of had a sports background and he
- 5:27Speaker 3: was just like but he was like, I love you, Aaron,
- 5:31Speaker 3: but you're like a nerd and.
- 5:33Speaker 2: He doesn't love sports.
- 5:36Speaker 3: He doesn't love sports. So he was like, yeah, I
- 5:38Speaker 3: know how to work all the equipment and stuff, and
- 5:41Speaker 3: you know, I could get it all set up, but
- 5:42Speaker 3: I could give two shits about the Titans.
- 5:45Speaker 6: Yeah, you've got a guy like that now here. So
- 5:48Speaker 6: he's on the show, but he's not currently here.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Oh I'm pretty sure you could pick him out pretty
- 5:52Speaker 4: easily down there too.
- 5:54Speaker 1: What year is this when you're like referencing all this
- 5:57Speaker 1: stuff doing the house real estate?
- 6:00Speaker 2: So this is your buddy.
- 6:01Speaker 3: Twenty eighteen, twenty eighteen. I get out of the army and,
- 6:05Speaker 3: like I said, man just kind of hit the ground
- 6:07Speaker 3: running with real estate and stuff like that. And then
- 6:10Speaker 3: you know, my buddy Aaron is like, Hey, there's these
- 6:12Speaker 3: two NFL players they want to start a podcast. We're
- 6:16Speaker 3: gonna meet with them. Well, at the time, his buddy
- 6:19Speaker 3: was meeting with them. So buddy gets the gig, right
- 6:23Speaker 3: Will It's like sure, I mean this guy sells Will
- 6:27Speaker 3: a fucking dream that he cannot refuse, and Will will
- 6:29Speaker 3: tell you that story better than I ever could, because
- 6:32Speaker 3: I still I still hear about it, you know, and
- 6:35Speaker 3: I heard about it while I was on the bus.
- 6:37Speaker 3: You know, just sells him this dream, right, and I'm
- 6:40Speaker 3: coming in as just help. I'm like, hey, this is cool,
- 6:43Speaker 3: this is an opportunity. I'm gonna I'm just gonna be there.
- 6:46Speaker 4: To learn, right.
- 6:47Speaker 2: You know.
- 6:48Speaker 3: I wasn't even getting paid at the time. So I
- 6:52Speaker 3: came in and uh we signed.
- 6:54Speaker 4: Like they weren't paying anybody for the longer.
- 6:57Speaker 6: The first year, the first employees did not get paid.
- 7:01Speaker 3: Dude. It's compared to what you all are getting now.
- 7:05Speaker 3: They're so rich, but now, man, So I came on.
- 7:10Speaker 3: I saw it as an opportunity again, like just to
- 7:13Speaker 3: showcase like what I can do and in hopes to
- 7:15Speaker 3: you know, to continue on the journey with them. But
- 7:18Speaker 3: uh yeah, we got brought on for the summer, so
- 7:21Speaker 3: you know, it was it was the off season of
- 7:22Speaker 3: the NFL and they wanted a bank as many podcasts
- 7:25Speaker 3: as possible. So you're you're asking about, like, you know
- 7:31Speaker 3: what I thought of Will? Honestly I was. I was intimidated, man,
- 7:33Speaker 3: I was intimidated. You got two NFL players. I mean,
- 7:36Speaker 3: Taylor is freaking.
- 7:37Speaker 2: What is it?
- 7:38Speaker 3: Seven seven seven seven six, Bro so like in me like,
- 7:44Speaker 3: I'm yeah, I'm not I'm not gifted in that in
- 7:47Speaker 3: that department at all. But now, man, So I really
- 7:54Speaker 3: didn't speak to them too much. Man. I just kind
- 7:56Speaker 3: of stayed quiet, you know. I spoke when I when
- 7:58Speaker 3: I was spoken to, and just learned as much as
- 8:01Speaker 3: I could from Aaron because I knew if an opportunity
- 8:04Speaker 3: had presented itself and he couldn't be there, that I
- 8:06Speaker 3: was gonna be ready for.
- 8:07Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 8:07Speaker 3: So every morning when we got up to set up
- 8:11Speaker 3: the bus, uh to film, I just sat there and
- 8:14Speaker 3: I was like, hey, let me set everything up today,
- 8:16Speaker 3: and you just watched me. So that's what I did, man,
- 8:19Speaker 3: because I had experience in like composition and the cameras
- 8:22Speaker 3: and stuff like that. But what I didn't know is
- 8:24Speaker 3: how the broadcasting world worked. And at that time everything
- 8:26Speaker 3: was brand new. I mean, yeah, you know, there was
- 8:28Speaker 3: a road road casters just had came out, like nobody
- 8:31Speaker 3: really knew anything about them. You know, you look at
- 8:33Speaker 3: that board. It's a little bit intimidating the first.
- 8:35Speaker 4: Time for sure.
- 8:36Speaker 3: So my job was to just stay quiet and learn
- 8:40Speaker 3: as much as I could.
- 8:40Speaker 5: Man.
- 8:41Speaker 3: And but yeah, no, sorry to answer your question, No,
- 8:44Speaker 3: I didn't. I didn't feel any kind of way about
- 8:46Speaker 3: will is just intimidated, I guess, is what.
- 8:49Speaker 1: You At the time, thick, I was about to ask,
- 8:52Speaker 1: did they They clearly had the bus when you started.
- 8:56Speaker 2: But y'all were in the gravel parking lot.
- 8:57Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, So we were in a gravel parking lot
- 9:00Speaker 3: at the time, and we were running off of a generator.
- 9:04Speaker 3: But that wasn't the only bit of adversity we faced either.
- 9:07Speaker 3: I mean, one, we were we were hoping that the
- 9:10Speaker 3: generator always had gas or gas and stand by. And
- 9:13Speaker 3: then two we we were running power from like several
- 9:17Speaker 3: businesses that were that were on that parking lot as well.
- 9:20Speaker 3: So there was like a hair salon place that we
- 9:23Speaker 3: would in a camper world that we would run power from,
- 9:27Speaker 3: and they would get so pissed, dude, because we would
- 9:29Speaker 3: trip the breaker, right, they'd be doing people's hair and
- 9:34Speaker 3: like just trip the breaker.
- 9:35Speaker 5: Oh man.
- 9:36Speaker 3: So like there were a few times where we had
- 9:39Speaker 3: to like, you know, sneak up the stairs and like
- 9:42Speaker 3: kind of lean over and plug stuff. Oh my gosh,
- 9:45Speaker 3: just to try and stay quiet.
- 9:47Speaker 2: In the train. And then the train's ripping by the train.
- 9:50Speaker 3: That's another bit of adversity. Yeah, the train would rip by.
- 9:53Speaker 1: I mean when you when you showed up and that
- 9:55Speaker 1: was where you guys were recording out of for you,
- 9:57Speaker 1: like what the hell are we getting into middle or
- 10:00Speaker 1: it just kind of like this looks fun.
- 10:03Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, honestly I was. I just I looked at
- 10:06Speaker 3: it like it like just an opportunity.
- 10:07Speaker 2: Man, Yeah, I'm just to figure it out. Yeah.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I was like, this is kind of crazy, and like
- 10:13Speaker 3: I feel like podcasting really wasn't where it is today
- 10:16Speaker 3: at that time. Yeah, so I was just like, I
- 10:19Speaker 3: guess this is just what they do, yeah, you know,
- 10:22Speaker 3: and like the setup in there was really cool, but
- 10:25Speaker 3: we had to borrow cameras from like lipscumb like Aaron
- 10:28Speaker 3: pulled that off too, because they didn't have cameras or anything.
- 10:30Speaker 3: All they had was like the roadcaster and like a
- 10:33Speaker 3: couple of mics and stuff like that. But they were like, oh, yeah,
- 10:36Speaker 3: by the way, you guys have to have your own cameras.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Say that you know, will searched how to start podcast
- 10:41Speaker 1: Yeah for sure.
- 10:43Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 10:44Speaker 3: Yeah, So I think the first couple episodes of Busting,
- 10:47Speaker 3: we're all audio. They didn't really have a video element
- 10:50Speaker 3: to it. That's why, like you won't you won't see
- 10:53Speaker 3: a video on those first those first few episodes actually
- 10:56Speaker 3: just clips from it.
- 10:57Speaker 5: Were you there on episode one?
- 10:59Speaker 3: I was not there one I came in at the
- 11:03Speaker 3: first episode I recorded. I believe it was Jalen Ramsey
- 11:05Speaker 3: and that was cool. I think it was like episode.
- 11:12Speaker 6: Six right there, one of the first viral clips.
- 11:16Speaker 2: It wasn't yeahlfriends.
- 11:21Speaker 6: I just saw someone made a quote graphic of that,
- 11:24Speaker 6: like this was last week and so like that the
- 11:26Speaker 6: clip is still reservicing to this day, which is cool.
- 11:29Speaker 3: That is cool, man. But like seeing him and Taylor
- 11:33Speaker 3: meet for the first time was so crazy because like
- 11:36Speaker 3: you saw the people on TV right and then you
- 11:39Speaker 3: have this division rival coming in to do your podcast,
- 11:42Speaker 3: and everybody's just kind of like sitting around watching how
- 11:45Speaker 3: they're going to interact. They couldn't You would have thought
- 11:48Speaker 3: they were freaking best friends, dude. Like I mean, it was.
- 11:51Speaker 3: It was incredible, dude. And but you could see the
- 11:54Speaker 3: talent pretty early. The chemistry was there. I honestly never
- 11:59Speaker 3: thought that it wasn't. It wasn't gonna. Did I ever
- 12:01Speaker 3: expect it to get to this point? No, because I
- 12:04Speaker 3: just didn't think the trajectory of like podcasting would be
- 12:07Speaker 3: where it is. But to say that I knew that
- 12:11Speaker 3: they would be successful based off of just like talent
- 12:13Speaker 3: alone and being on the mic, like, it doesn't surprise
- 12:15Speaker 3: me at all.
- 12:16Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:16Speaker 6: Yeah, So after this, who would be the next employee
- 12:21Speaker 6: that comes into the bust In universe?
- 12:23Speaker 3: So the next employee that came in was No, Neely
- 12:29Speaker 3: was before me Zach and yeah, I'm in black and
- 12:33Speaker 3: I'm employee three.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Zach Patton.
- 12:35Speaker 3: Yeah, Zach Patton.
- 12:37Speaker 4: He's the one that always get like yelled at by
- 12:39Speaker 4: Will and Taylor, or that Will would yell.
- 12:41Speaker 5: At he comes for the Dale episodes.
- 12:43Speaker 3: He's the small, real skinny. At the time, he was
- 12:49Speaker 3: full he was a full full time student at uh Yeah.
- 12:51Speaker 1: Yeah, I think he was working with the women's basketball team.
- 12:56Speaker 6: Yeah, of all films. But I remember me and Garrett
- 12:59Speaker 6: got there. It was in the summer, and then like
- 13:01Speaker 6: August rolls around. He's like, all right, I gotta go, and.
- 13:03Speaker 7: We're like, oh, you're you're in college still.
- 13:06Speaker 6: I remember he always brought a cool talk about feel
- 13:09Speaker 6: always bringing cooler of just like waters, gatorades, like a
- 13:12Speaker 6: couple like neutrals or something, and Zach is an awesome dude.
- 13:16Speaker 3: Yeah, because at the time, like he I mean, he
- 13:18Speaker 3: knew we were recording in the gravel parking lot without AC.
- 13:21Speaker 3: We were recording in the warehouse. Never had a c
- 13:23Speaker 3: It wasn't until we showed up here that we finally had.
- 13:28Speaker 1: Well, there was in the warehouse. There was that little
- 13:30Speaker 1: air unit with the hose going up into the window,
- 13:34Speaker 1: so not only the generator running, but an AC unit, yeah,
- 13:37Speaker 1: plugged in somewhere. So at what point did they move
- 13:42Speaker 1: from the gravel lot.
- 13:45Speaker 6: To west to the warehouse?
- 13:48Speaker 3: Yes, that was It was definitely before episode one hundred
- 13:51Speaker 3: because I remember when David so they all.
- 13:53Speaker 2: Did a ton in the ground.
- 13:54Speaker 3: Yes, yeah, so like I specifically remember uh, episode one
- 13:59Speaker 3: hundred because that's that was a big deal that first
- 14:02Speaker 3: first Yeah.
- 14:04Speaker 4: Huge. What was y'all's first episode thirty three?
- 14:07Speaker 6: I think that like gift that will gave us of
- 14:11Speaker 6: like the plaques of all the episodes that we had
- 14:13Speaker 6: been a part of.
- 14:14Speaker 7: It started at like thirty two or thirty three.
- 14:16Speaker 3: Yep, yeah, we had just finished.
- 14:18Speaker 2: Really who was that was?
- 14:19Speaker 4: That?
- 14:19Speaker 2: Was that?
- 14:21Speaker 1: I just remember I remember one of the first ones
- 14:24Speaker 1: being like a.
- 14:25Speaker 6: J Yeah, AJ was definitely Derek.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I remember having Isaiah Wilson.
- 14:32Speaker 6: And Jamilligan Titans history and the.
- 14:38Speaker 1: Like uh Rashwan, Rashaan Evans and Jayon Brown came like
- 14:43Speaker 1: some of my like the stuff on my phone kind
- 14:45Speaker 1: of falls in that window of like pictures being back
- 14:48Speaker 1: on the bus because not to get away from bost
- 14:51Speaker 1: but the first time I met Will was like two
- 14:53Speaker 1: weeks before COVID happened. So yeah, the first time we
- 14:56Speaker 1: were back in person was like kind of in that
- 14:59Speaker 1: window in the.
- 15:02Speaker 6: Era of us. Yeah, was the era when we were
- 15:05Speaker 6: just every it was like the grossest graphics on top
- 15:09Speaker 6: of the screen.
- 15:10Speaker 3: It's crazy, dude, but you guys, you guys coming in
- 15:14Speaker 3: was crucial for a pivot in my life.
- 15:17Speaker 1: Before we got there. So it was you, Zach and
- 15:21Speaker 1: then Alex. When did Alex come on?
- 15:24Speaker 3: Alex came on right after Neely passed. And again, rest
- 15:28Speaker 3: in peace, Matt, Like seriously, dude, seriously miss you. Matt. Matt,
- 15:32Speaker 3: Matt hls.
- 15:34Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 15:35Speaker 3: Matt holds a special place in my heart because when
- 15:36Speaker 3: I came to Tennessee and you know, we started working
- 15:40Speaker 3: for Busting together, Like dude, he took me to my
- 15:42Speaker 3: first Titans game, and uh, it was cool man, Like Matt,
- 15:47Speaker 3: Matt was a big deal around the Titans community. He
- 15:49Speaker 3: would never tell you that, but like when I couldn't
- 15:53Speaker 3: believe it when when I went to the Titans game
- 15:55Speaker 3: with him, dude, I mean we couldn't make it to
- 15:57Speaker 3: our seats. Everybody was stopping to say hi to them.
- 16:00Speaker 3: O G boys, dude, And I was like, Yo, you
- 16:04Speaker 3: downplay this shit. So I was like, He's like, you
- 16:09Speaker 3: know it was it was cool man. But he loved it. Man.
- 16:11Speaker 3: He loved interacting with everybody and for him to just
- 16:14Speaker 3: like you bring me along the way that he did
- 16:16Speaker 3: and introduce me though a lot of the Titans fans
- 16:18Speaker 3: that I know today. Man, I I love you, dude,
- 16:21Speaker 3: and we miss your every day dude. Seriously.
- 16:23Speaker 6: I was at a Titans game, not last season, but
- 16:26Speaker 6: the season before, and someone was wearing a Neely jersey
- 16:28Speaker 6: and I was like, man, that's so cool. I do
- 16:30Speaker 6: love still around and I liked him. I was like, yo,
- 16:33Speaker 6: the boy Neely and he was like, do you know Matt?
- 16:35Speaker 6: And he was like an oor guy and He's like,
- 16:36Speaker 6: I'm Matt's father. And it was one of those where
- 16:39Speaker 6: we like hugged it out and I was like, I
- 16:41Speaker 6: now do what he did for busting. Yeah, it was
- 16:43Speaker 6: a cool moment. I feel like I'm getting chills talking
- 16:45Speaker 6: about it now. But he really did make an impact
- 16:47Speaker 6: on a low market NFL team. And if you talk
- 16:50Speaker 6: to anyone who's been in the trenches of Tennessee Titans football,
- 16:54Speaker 6: you know who who knows Yeah.
- 16:56Speaker 5: Maybe Bane. I feel like because I never knew Matt,
- 16:59Speaker 5: but Nate Baane does such a good job of keeping him,
- 17:01Speaker 5: like his spirit alive within.
- 17:02Speaker 6: The tighten the fuck up.
- 17:05Speaker 2: He does that for so many every Sunday.
- 17:08Speaker 3: Like yeah, like, yes, he one hundred percent does it
- 17:10Speaker 3: for Matt, but he does it for other people who
- 17:13Speaker 3: support the team as well. Dude, even if you're like,
- 17:15Speaker 3: I know he's supported this podcast.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Oh my god, heavy, you're talking about Nate right, yeah,
- 17:22Speaker 1: under he's incredible.
- 17:23Speaker 3: Here again another person who who just opened his arms
- 17:29Speaker 3: to somebody who he didn't have to and made me
- 17:32Speaker 3: feel like family, dude, Like Nate, you're the man, dude.
- 17:35Speaker 2: Hell yeah, dude.
- 17:37Speaker 1: It is wild to think about because I don't like
- 17:41Speaker 1: remember the first day being around everybody, but you brought
- 17:44Speaker 1: up episode one hundred and that being JP's first day,
- 17:48Speaker 1: and the fact that Dave Portanoy was.
- 17:51Speaker 7: There, brought the pizza box, brought the pizza bocket.
- 17:53Speaker 1: Yeah, it was like all the things encompassing, like busting barstool,
- 17:58Speaker 1: and then that thought of like Dave's looking at this
- 18:02Speaker 1: bus and where we're recording, going, what the hell did
- 18:05Speaker 1: I sign up for?
- 18:06Speaker 3: Yeah, he's I mean, he's used to be. He's used
- 18:09Speaker 3: to be in a high in a high rise in
- 18:11Speaker 3: New York, Right, it.
- 18:12Speaker 2: Was so funny.
- 18:13Speaker 5: Well, you said it was pivotal for you, and when
- 18:16Speaker 5: Jack and Garrett joined, was that when you were going
- 18:18Speaker 5: to the police.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Cau Yeah, so that you know, I wouldn't have been
- 18:22Speaker 3: able to do what I was doing and making that
- 18:25Speaker 3: pivot pivot to the police department if it wasn't for
- 18:28Speaker 3: you guys, man, because you guys essentially took my place
- 18:31Speaker 3: and I was. I was there from a distance, you know,
- 18:34Speaker 3: just trying to help as much as I could. But
- 18:36Speaker 3: you guys allowed me the opportunity to even explore that
- 18:39Speaker 3: because I was fighting an internal battle, like, yes, I
- 18:42Speaker 3: was doing this cool job that most people would freaking
- 18:46Speaker 3: I mean killed being or do and and it is
- 18:50Speaker 3: a great job and it but it comes with a lot,
- 18:52Speaker 3: you know, and that's that's a lot of the things
- 18:54Speaker 3: that people don't see, Like these guys are grinding. Man.
- 18:56Speaker 3: The amount of shows that you guys are putting out
- 18:59Speaker 3: now gives me anxiety knowing.
- 19:02Speaker 6: If it's it's nice to be seen.
- 19:07Speaker 3: Dude, the amount of anxiety that I would feel doing
- 19:10Speaker 3: all that stuff, hoping one stuff works to getting it
- 19:13Speaker 3: set up three the editing. I mean, dude, y'all are
- 19:17Speaker 3: y'all are absolutely crushing it. Man. It doesn't make me.
- 19:20Speaker 3: It makes me so freaking proud to know you guys individually,
- 19:23Speaker 3: but uh, y'all are the unsung heroes, dude, of this
- 19:28Speaker 3: entire operation. Dude, and uh, I freaking love watching you
- 19:31Speaker 3: guys succeed man and do what you do.
- 19:33Speaker 6: But man, it doesn't it doesn't happen without having people
- 19:36Speaker 6: like bloss on a career in your story. Because I
- 19:40Speaker 6: can't speak for Garrett, but I feel like I can
- 19:42Speaker 6: in this moment when we come in, it's like he said,
- 19:45Speaker 6: Will and Taylor, they can be intimidating their NFL players,
- 19:48Speaker 6: So on top of all of the existing anxiety that
- 19:50Speaker 6: presents itself, you come in and just hope that there's
- 19:53Speaker 6: like a cool operation of guys that maybe aren't gonna
- 19:56Speaker 6: like be a little competitive or like, hey, you don't
- 19:58Speaker 6: come for my job. And Bloss for like day one
- 20:01Speaker 6: was always so helpful. Like it's like a guy you've known,
- 20:05Speaker 6: like you're just catching up from high school and he
- 20:07Speaker 6: never like made it about himself or other people, like
- 20:10Speaker 6: just always like involved us and like was there to
- 20:12Speaker 6: help and like mentor and train and so like our
- 20:16Speaker 6: success doesn't happen without you being there to.
- 20:19Speaker 1: I feel like some of the even like the smallest
- 20:23Speaker 1: things on the bus that like how we operate, how
- 20:25Speaker 1: we start the show, how we finish it still is
- 20:28Speaker 1: like a in a way, like a BLOSS system is
- 20:32Speaker 1: all like that.
- 20:32Speaker 4: That would be a.
- 20:33Speaker 2: Mitch there for sure.
- 20:34Speaker 4: Yeah, because like I think it's funny. The first time
- 20:36Speaker 4: we met is when because I came in on like
- 20:39Speaker 4: a Wednesday, and like you would back then, you would
- 20:41Speaker 4: only come in when we record. First time we met
- 20:43Speaker 4: was when we went to Knoxville that weekend. So we
- 20:47Speaker 4: were in a car ride for two and a half
- 20:48Speaker 4: hours together and I was I.
- 20:50Speaker 5: Was gone on that one.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I was three of us were going.
- 20:53Speaker 4: So nervous because I'm like because I was a fan,
- 20:56Speaker 4: so I knew all of like who you guys were,
- 20:58Speaker 4: and like I have to say, I knew who Blas was,
- 21:00Speaker 4: and I'm like, this guy's like a military guy. He's
- 21:02Speaker 4: a cop, like fucking nervous. And we were in the
- 21:05Speaker 4: car right.
- 21:05Speaker 1: For like talking about.
- 21:07Speaker 4: Yeah, like we met like five forty five six am
- 21:14Speaker 4: here at the shop and I'm like, what's up, dude,
- 21:17Speaker 4: You're like, what's going on? We just packed everything up
- 21:19Speaker 4: and just we were get in the car, sat in
- 21:21Speaker 4: the car for and a half hours. Then like that's
- 21:22Speaker 4: when we just started talking and like meeting, like getting
- 21:25Speaker 4: to know each other and stuff. And on the ride
- 21:27Speaker 4: back you try to fix your your Apple car play
- 21:29Speaker 4: thing to.
- 21:29Speaker 3: Get the game Onio was playing.
- 21:32Speaker 4: Yeah, but it was like and then like I was
- 21:35Speaker 4: basically like you you and JP's like assistant, so like
- 21:40Speaker 4: I everything I learned on the bus was from YouTube,
- 21:43Speaker 4: and like I still feel like I cared, like you
- 21:46Speaker 4: didn't play any games when it come to the bus,
- 21:47Speaker 4: like don't fuck around and touch stuff. That's how I feel.
- 21:50Speaker 4: It still feel like I am, and like I feel
- 21:52Speaker 4: like that's kind of how you have to be like
- 21:53Speaker 4: with everything you have going on. But it was like
- 21:57Speaker 4: everything I've learned and stuff came from you came from GP,
- 22:00Speaker 4: like and it's like there's still Blas on the bus
- 22:06Speaker 4: from like when you set everything up, like anytime we
- 22:09Speaker 4: change something new, it's like there's one piece of Blase
- 22:13Speaker 4: taking off the bus, there's another piece of It's like
- 22:15Speaker 4: kind of like a little bittersweet, but it's also like
- 22:17Speaker 4: that's just how it's.
- 22:18Speaker 3: That's just how it is, man. I mean the fact that, like,
- 22:22Speaker 3: you know, I guess I was able to share some
- 22:24Speaker 3: of that stuff with you, man, is is a gift
- 22:26Speaker 3: in itself. But like I kind of want to go
- 22:28Speaker 3: back to the car ride.
- 22:29Speaker 1: Dude, because I can only imagine what it was like.
- 22:33Speaker 4: This is my fourth day on the job.
- 22:36Speaker 3: Dude, So like, are you driving driving?
- 22:39Speaker 2: You drove, I drove. You're in the Jeep rap raptor
- 22:43Speaker 2: je Upgrade.
- 22:45Speaker 5: I didn't.
- 22:46Speaker 3: I thought maybe I felt like I could afford a
- 22:49Speaker 3: better gass.
- 22:49Speaker 6: Always had a good car.
- 22:51Speaker 2: It was always outside, it.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Was it was cool driving. That was my first time
- 22:55Speaker 4: in a Raptor. I'm like, this is doped ude.
- 22:57Speaker 3: That was so comfortable. But no, dude, I remember I
- 23:01Speaker 3: was like, you want to listen to any music. Do
- 23:03Speaker 3: you remember this?
- 23:04Speaker 4: Yeah? And you were like I think, what do you
- 23:06Speaker 4: what do you like?
- 23:07Speaker 3: And did I say, Mike, Yeah, So we yeah, we
- 23:09Speaker 3: were jamming up. We were jamming out the mic a
- 23:11Speaker 3: little bit. But then you started playing.
- 23:13Speaker 7: Like Rogers Islights, we might need to cut that.
- 23:18Speaker 5: Adam Schefter what you mean and their friends there boys.
- 23:22Speaker 3: But you started, uh, you started, you started dipping into
- 23:25Speaker 3: the stuff that you really liked. Like, yeah, we we
- 23:27Speaker 3: shared bike and coming, but then you started sharing like
- 23:29Speaker 3: some like rock stuff, some alternative rock stuff. And we
- 23:32Speaker 3: had realized Like I was like you didn't, you don't
- 23:34Speaker 3: you didn't know this about me, But I was like,
- 23:36Speaker 3: you know, I listened to a lot of those same bands. Yeah,
- 23:38Speaker 3: and we just started jamming out so like just.
- 23:41Speaker 4: Just like Underground zero or something or yes, I don't
- 23:44Speaker 4: know if that was a band.
- 23:45Speaker 3: And that's when I was like, all right, this is
- 23:47Speaker 3: fucking awesome, this is cool. This guy's gonna be all
- 23:49Speaker 3: right like it was when we.
- 23:51Speaker 4: Were That was when we did p f T in
- 23:53Speaker 4: like on the on the practice field and like the
- 23:59Speaker 4: literally the first day we was like, hey, you asked me,
- 24:01Speaker 4: like you want to do this? I'm like, are you sure,
- 24:04Speaker 4: because I don't, like, I didn't want to suck it up,
- 24:05Speaker 4: but he let me switch the board and stuff. I'm like,
- 24:08Speaker 4: this is so sick.
- 24:09Speaker 3: Yeah. Remember do you remember trying to find like mic
- 24:11Speaker 3: stands because we didn't have mic stands. We had to
- 24:14Speaker 3: like those crazy found them like crates inside like the
- 24:18Speaker 3: weight room, and I was like, we'll just mount.
- 24:19Speaker 5: The Rue was crying in the back. I think she
- 24:22Speaker 5: had like just been born, just you.
- 24:24Speaker 1: You problem, solving a mic stand is a bloss.
- 24:28Speaker 2: Thing to a t P.
- 24:31Speaker 1: Finding anything to make something stay in place, a camera
- 24:34Speaker 1: to be level, that does not surprise me.
- 24:37Speaker 2: That's hilarious.
- 24:38Speaker 3: Yeah, dude, it was crazy because we were working on
- 24:40Speaker 3: an open field and just on the practice field, and
- 24:43Speaker 3: you know how it is when you I mean dude again,
- 24:46Speaker 3: early bus days we didn't have X amount of sets
- 24:50Speaker 3: of cameras. I mean we were ripping down the bus
- 24:55Speaker 3: taking it on the road.
- 24:58Speaker 2: Thank god, that world is pastos, dude.
- 25:01Speaker 3: I'm so glad. I'm so happy for you. I didn't
- 25:04Speaker 3: experience a time when that was it, that was a reality.
- 25:08Speaker 3: But uh man, even like having to get back and
- 25:11Speaker 3: put that thing together, because we always got back on
- 25:12Speaker 3: a Sunday, right. We recorded on Monday, so it's like
- 25:16Speaker 3: they're going home, like, if I don't set this thing
- 25:19Speaker 3: up now, I'm gonna have to come in super early
- 25:21Speaker 3: in the morning and do it. So but yeah, man,
- 25:25Speaker 3: those are.
- 25:26Speaker 6: Also if you're just not listening to a lot of
- 25:28Speaker 6: this stuff for the first time, but you're a current
- 25:31Speaker 6: busting fan and maybe you've seen some of the lore
- 25:33Speaker 6: in the Shop of Clump, Jeremy Clump, who who is
- 25:37Speaker 6: basically the office troll. Before there was Jeremy Clump, there
- 25:41Speaker 6: was bloss Hernandez, one of the greatest trolls of all time.
- 25:45Speaker 6: He used to get me so angry about forty nine
- 25:48Speaker 6: ers and Titans football, and then you just look back
- 25:51Speaker 6: at him and you have this shittyting grin, just like
- 25:53Speaker 6: I got you again, and I just want to know, Blost,
- 25:56Speaker 6: are you still a troll?
- 25:59Speaker 3: That's part of That's part of me that will never leave.
- 26:02Speaker 3: The only problem is the people on the receiving that
- 26:07Speaker 3: the receiving end of that are now like my step kids, dude.
- 26:12Speaker 3: My wife yells at me all the time. It's like,
- 26:14Speaker 3: stop messing with them, dude, But I can't, dude. Well,
- 26:18Speaker 3: they'll be sleeping, and I know Tito, Tito's still afraid
- 26:20Speaker 3: of like monsters and ship like that. Grow up, dude, dude.
- 26:27Speaker 3: I'll go by his door and I'll just play like
- 26:31Speaker 3: little kids crying in the hallway.
- 26:33Speaker 4: Oh, that's just being fucked up.
- 26:37Speaker 5: The little kids crying is crazy.
- 26:40Speaker 7: They're just creating generational trauma for a laugh.
- 26:43Speaker 3: Dude, It's just oh man, they are on the receiving
- 26:46Speaker 3: end of a lot.
- 26:47Speaker 1: There's not much that can scare Bloss. I feel like
- 26:50Speaker 1: after your life for.
- 26:56Speaker 5: You don't know what scary.
- 26:57Speaker 3: Equipment failing, yeah, yeah, we're audio getting dropped or freaking
- 27:04Speaker 3: corrupt files. Yeah, there's stuff out there.
- 27:06Speaker 5: How was it as a massive Niners fan the first
- 27:08Speaker 5: time you got to meet George Kittle?
- 27:10Speaker 4: Dude?
- 27:10Speaker 3: That was so cool? Man, Like, there are I say this,
- 27:13Speaker 3: there's a few people who have who have I've been
- 27:16Speaker 3: kind of star struck by or just kind of like
- 27:20Speaker 3: at a loss for words. George Kittle is one of them,
- 27:22Speaker 3: because yeah, as a massive Niner fan and somebody who
- 27:25Speaker 3: couldn't represent the brand any better, and George, like, we're
- 27:29Speaker 3: all praying for you, dude, hopefully. Yeah, you know, everything
- 27:32Speaker 3: goes well. We miss you. We'll try and I'm sure
- 27:35Speaker 3: that the team will bring that thing home.
- 27:36Speaker 6: Friend of our Show.
- 27:37Speaker 3: Yeah, George, Yeah that was cool.
- 27:41Speaker 5: Hall of Fame Human Being.
- 27:43Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 27:43Speaker 5: Yeah, it's unreal to see everything he does for other people,
- 27:47Speaker 5: just hearing all the stories, how he interacts with every
- 27:49Speaker 5: single person, no matter what status they are, like, and
- 27:52Speaker 5: that's why it sucks so much to see somebody like
- 27:54Speaker 5: him to.
- 27:55Speaker 3: A better person.
- 27:56Speaker 1: Like Man, Yeah, I feel like I always describe George
- 27:59Speaker 1: or somebody that understands his situation in life is so rare,
- 28:05Speaker 1: and he does such a good job of not taking
- 28:08Speaker 1: it for granted and like share or too seriously, like
- 28:12Speaker 1: he truly is having so much fun, but also understands
- 28:16Speaker 1: like that he's like I would imagine, like a very
- 28:19Speaker 1: lucky guy. Like it's just yeah, he's a good representation
- 28:22Speaker 1: of just being a good fun dude.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I think you put it perfectly.
- 28:26Speaker 6: Man.
- 28:26Speaker 3: It's it's somebody who knows the position they're in is
- 28:29Speaker 3: going to do everything he possibly can to just touch
- 28:32Speaker 3: you know, any fan out there or anybody that supports
- 28:35Speaker 3: him or or whatever. Man, if he could just brighten
- 28:38Speaker 3: your day, like you could count on George to do it. Man,
- 28:40Speaker 3: sure has absolutely no, No, he has no reason or not, like,
- 28:47Speaker 3: it's not his obligation to do that.
- 28:49Speaker 5: Man.
- 28:49Speaker 3: But just like you said, understand, he's just liked that.
- 28:51Speaker 3: He's just a good dude man. And he threw me
- 28:53Speaker 3: a follow after that.
- 28:54Speaker 5: Yeah, dude, there's nothing better than getting followed by some
- 28:58Speaker 5: of the guys that come on the bus that are
- 28:59Speaker 5: that you're either fans of or just massive names. So
- 29:02Speaker 5: when you grow up watching and it's just like, yo,
- 29:04Speaker 5: what I actually kind of know this person now.
- 29:07Speaker 3: Yeah, so George was definitely one of those people. You
- 29:10Speaker 3: know who else was? This is kind of crazy Sean
- 29:12Speaker 3: Johnson Yeah really yeah, the first female I bet.
- 29:16Speaker 1: That was crazy, like cause she was what year.
- 29:20Speaker 5: Two thousand and eight I think was.
- 29:21Speaker 3: Her those gold medals?
- 29:24Speaker 5: Yeah, and I was like, bro, that that USA gymnastics team.
- 29:29Speaker 5: I feel like for everybody around our age is etched
- 29:32Speaker 5: in our brain it's that gymnastics team. And then Michael
- 29:35Speaker 5: Phelps eight or nine gold medal run. I can picture
- 29:38Speaker 5: all those competitions and all of his I remember where I.
- 29:41Speaker 1: Was watching Phelps. Yeah like that, like, yeah, that that
- 29:44Speaker 1: one will be that's legendary.
- 29:46Speaker 3: Yeah, man, So seeing her in person was was crazy, Like,
- 29:51Speaker 3: I just remember setting up the bus and again this
- 29:53Speaker 3: was that we were at the gravel parking lot during
- 29:55Speaker 3: her episode Gold Medalist. Yeah, and I like walked out
- 29:59Speaker 3: and I in the corner outside of the bus and
- 30:02Speaker 3: she's like right there, all pregnant, and I was just
- 30:04Speaker 3: like whoa, and like she said hi to me, and
- 30:06Speaker 3: I like, and I just dude, oh my gosh. I
- 30:12Speaker 3: was like, oh, I'm such it was her and her.
- 30:14Speaker 2: Husband, right, yeah, hey nasty. I mean, oh, bro, seriously,
- 30:18Speaker 2: you're great.
- 30:19Speaker 3: And then I ran I ran into her. Uh at
- 30:23Speaker 3: Jimmy John's, Dude, that's so cool, dude. So like I
- 30:26Speaker 3: ran into like, I.
- 30:27Speaker 7: You love freaky fest ups too, right, dude.
- 30:31Speaker 3: So I uh, I was walking out of Jimmy John's
- 30:33Speaker 3: and the you know, I held the door open and
- 30:37Speaker 3: she walks out, but her kids walk out right behind her.
- 30:40Speaker 3: She stops them and she goes, what do you say?
- 30:43Speaker 3: And they're like thank you sir, like blah blah blah.
- 30:45Speaker 3: And I was like, that is so cool, man.
- 30:47Speaker 4: That's.
- 30:49Speaker 5: You start playing the grow sounds.
- 30:51Speaker 3: I was like, what you don't know is I know
- 30:52Speaker 3: your mom from way back in the day.
- 30:55Speaker 6: So that would have been what twenty nineteen, I assume.
- 30:57Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:57Speaker 6: So since then on Busting, I think since Sean Johnson,
- 31:01Speaker 6: there's been one of the three other girls too, Bunny.
- 31:06Speaker 6: Oh yeah, okay, okay, yeah, so since then we've had
- 31:11Speaker 6: four women in almost six years.
- 31:14Speaker 1: Wait for the next six years, something we won't dive into.
- 31:17Speaker 5: But I feel like I need to say, just for
- 31:18Speaker 5: lore of this is Bloss after Dark.
- 31:21Speaker 4: We don't have to get into. Yeah, I remember that
- 31:25Speaker 4: as a fan. That's how like, I just remember listening
- 31:28Speaker 4: to that as a fan.
- 31:30Speaker 1: Now that you are in Bloss's old seat. They like
- 31:34Speaker 1: Will and Taylor used to put Boss in a blender
- 31:37Speaker 1: all the time.
- 31:38Speaker 4: That is that I am the like I think Will
- 31:43Speaker 4: and Taylor told me, like, you are the new Blass.
- 31:44Speaker 1: Like every time it happens, and all I think about
- 31:47Speaker 1: is man to prospect here and I.
- 31:49Speaker 5: Remember, yeah, I remember, let this man speak.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Remember every time you would try and like speak, you
- 31:54Speaker 4: would like stutter, And that's how I was in the beginning.
- 31:56Speaker 4: And they're like, really, dude, it.
- 31:58Speaker 1: Was now that we more, it's easier, but yeah, dude,
- 32:02Speaker 1: starting out and they're like you have something to say,
- 32:04Speaker 1: You're like, yeah, no, not really, I.
- 32:08Speaker 3: Just want to be behind the camera just leave me.
- 32:09Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I had.
- 32:11Speaker 3: I had zero interest of being on the episode or
- 32:13Speaker 3: anything like that. But like, and then the times where
- 32:16Speaker 3: I felt confident speaking, they made me feel and I
- 32:20Speaker 3: was like, yeah, I'm really never fucking talking anything.
- 32:22Speaker 2: Like yeah, how about the forty nine ers, like shut
- 32:24Speaker 2: up boss?
- 32:24Speaker 3: I was like, oh, yeah, you know forty nine ers
- 32:26Speaker 3: and their scheme and Taylor goes, oh, tell me about
- 32:28Speaker 3: their scheme and I'm like, uh, I was just using football. Yeah,
- 32:34Speaker 3: you so you understand scheme. I don't even understand.
- 32:38Speaker 4: You were talking about, uh, like your biggest fear of
- 32:40Speaker 4: being like corrupt files and stuff, and we talked about
- 32:42Speaker 4: it earlier with the Vermont trip. You guys have to
- 32:45Speaker 4: dive into that because I wasn't here.
- 32:47Speaker 2: Is that right before you got here?
- 32:49Speaker 4: When was that ship?
- 32:51Speaker 2: Summer?
- 32:52Speaker 4: Summer? That was summer?
- 32:55Speaker 2: Really was know what we were out there for?
- 32:57Speaker 3: Just to remember that.
- 32:59Speaker 6: Yeah, I know whiskey at six a m.
- 33:03Speaker 4: I think I think it was right before I had
- 33:05Speaker 4: got hired, because I was like reaching out to you
- 33:07Speaker 4: guys a bunch because I think you guys went whistle
- 33:08Speaker 4: Pig and then went to Green Bad.
- 33:09Speaker 5: Correct, Yeah, something something like that.
- 33:11Speaker 4: So but I wasn't here for that. But I just remember,
- 33:14Speaker 4: like I even still pick up on the Whar's blase
- 33:17Speaker 4: like saying like inside joke, even though I wasn't even
- 33:19Speaker 4: there for it.
- 33:20Speaker 1: Honestly, that like Vermont was so much fun. KO want
- 33:28Speaker 1: to expect going there, And it was a blast, such.
- 33:32Speaker 6: A cool property.
- 33:33Speaker 2: It was so cool. Our crew so well they did yeah,
- 33:36Speaker 2: yeah they yeah.
- 33:37Speaker 1: Food was great, Drinks were great, obviously, dude.
- 33:41Speaker 2: One of the vocation was amazing. Like one of the.
- 33:44Speaker 5: Worst funny things on that trip with Blossom was there
- 33:48Speaker 5: was like couches and beds everywhere, and we're all kind
- 33:51Speaker 5: of walking around to pick where to sleep. And you
- 33:53Speaker 5: walk into kind of like this rec group and Bloss
- 33:55Speaker 5: is just on the floor with one pillow, kind of
- 33:57Speaker 5: like m Frost Just up, Hey, boss, you know you
- 34:01Speaker 5: could go anywhere else to sleep, like there's plenty of beds. No,
- 34:04Speaker 5: I'm good where I am.
- 34:08Speaker 3: Yeah myself, I'm in this man big mansion drunk.
- 34:18Speaker 1: Yeah, bro, I mean to fast forward one of the
- 34:21Speaker 1: nights when I feel like I definitely felt hammered.
- 34:25Speaker 2: I go up to the room.
- 34:27Speaker 1: I ended up falling asleep. But you were asleep on
- 34:29Speaker 1: the ground next to the bed.
- 34:31Speaker 2: I was. I was like, what are you doing? Yeah,
- 34:35Speaker 2: he was.
- 34:37Speaker 5: That's the first time I saw the Gary coffin. Let
- 34:41Speaker 5: me get comfortable now because also is it so wait,
- 34:44Speaker 5: where's bloss happened on that trip?
- 34:46Speaker 6: Dude? I where's for so long? I truly don't know that.
- 34:50Speaker 4: I believe it did because you guys were walking to
- 34:53Speaker 4: like the next distillery or whatever, and then you were like.
- 34:55Speaker 1: No, I think it was when we were leaving that dinner.
- 34:58Speaker 5: Yeah, because he went.
- 34:59Speaker 6: To like, when I get to that we were in
- 35:03Speaker 6: the city.
- 35:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm glad y'all remember, because I'm like, I don't I.
- 35:07Speaker 6: Swear the weight where we're trying to think of the
- 35:10Speaker 6: funniest inside joke that I don't even know if there
- 35:12Speaker 6: we all ever know the origin.
- 35:14Speaker 2: And well, and then so we got there.
- 35:16Speaker 1: What we did like a tour that first day and
- 35:18Speaker 1: then you just got to chill all afternoon.
- 35:21Speaker 2: We built a fire.
- 35:22Speaker 1: They had like a sweet little frisbee golf course all
- 35:25Speaker 1: swear the yard game.
- 35:30Speaker 2: Yeah, Jack and Will killed the KFC team.
- 35:34Speaker 5: I think that lit the fire and fights honestly, because
- 35:37Speaker 5: he's been on the fitness kick ever since then.
- 35:40Speaker 3: Skins and shirts for something to what was that?
- 35:42Speaker 4: Did we believe the race?
- 35:44Speaker 5: Yeah? Man, I cannot remember.
- 35:47Speaker 7: We had to don't drink whiskey at six am.
- 35:50Speaker 3: I'm glad, y'all. Remember most of this trip is.
- 35:54Speaker 1: Due.
- 35:54Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 35:54Speaker 1: It was just that sip and after like of those ships,
- 36:00Speaker 1: your like face felt warm, like you definitely had that.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Brother, it's coming straight from the barrel.
- 36:06Speaker 5: Yeah, it's even more Will kiss KFC. Yeah dude, Yeah,
- 36:11Speaker 5: and it tells you anything, Yeah, dude, that was It
- 36:14Speaker 5: was a lot of fun. The number one moment of
- 36:16Speaker 5: that trip a flight debacle. Yeah, helping Blas was trying
- 36:20Speaker 5: to figure it out.
- 36:21Speaker 1: It's just drunk in the back dud well as crazy
- 36:24Speaker 1: as we got back from that trip, and Will was like, hey, like,
- 36:26Speaker 1: you know, I really need you to like figure this
- 36:28Speaker 1: stuff out.
- 36:28Speaker 2: I'm like I'm driving the car.
- 36:30Speaker 5: Yeah, I can't like.
- 36:34Speaker 2: Driving.
- 36:35Speaker 5: We didn't know how we even had an issue with
- 36:37Speaker 5: the flights, but oh it was things we're getting delayed.
- 36:39Speaker 5: We were trying to switch top. Yeah, but at dinner,
- 36:42Speaker 5: we had an awesome dinner, like downtown whatever city this was,
- 36:46Speaker 5: and we're we're just kind of walking around and me
- 36:50Speaker 5: and Bloss are kind of towards the back. Everyone is
- 36:53Speaker 5: just in that perfect buzz state, so we're all just
- 36:55Speaker 5: sort of floating. As we go to the next spot.
- 36:57Speaker 5: Wells just kind of drops back and I just hear
- 37:00Speaker 5: a little bit of like splattering slash drops on the
- 37:03Speaker 5: sidewalk and turn around, kind of turned back, double take.
- 37:08Speaker 5: Bloss is kind of wiping his mouth. I don't see anything,
- 37:11Speaker 5: but I know I heard something. It was like, Bloss,
- 37:14Speaker 5: you just throw up. What are you talking about? Buke
- 37:19Speaker 5: on the side.
- 37:20Speaker 3: Walking, Yeah, yeah, no, that's exactly how it happened.
- 37:25Speaker 1: No, it was just like that because at that dinner
- 37:28Speaker 1: fight that was when fights you got and him got
- 37:32Speaker 1: into it because I said I could run a sub
- 37:33Speaker 1: five forty.
- 37:34Speaker 6: And he was like, no, you cannot, man. But yeah,
- 37:37Speaker 6: he ended up nothing passing.
- 37:39Speaker 2: In the middle of the floor by the dark board.
- 37:41Speaker 3: Dude, Yeah, because we're you're playing a pool, right, yeah, darts. Yeah.
- 37:47Speaker 3: I remember, like he was fading. You remember there were
- 37:49Speaker 3: times where he'd be on the couch and you just
- 37:51Speaker 3: like the dark.
- 37:53Speaker 5: Yeah, we're playing for money, Yeah, like we can't take this.
- 38:01Speaker 5: Man just started yelling about the beach vers like that
- 38:05Speaker 5: was when those started.
- 38:07Speaker 2: That was a good trip.
- 38:08Speaker 3: Man, that was so fun. Was good to us to
- 38:11Speaker 3: be able to like put a bourbon together like that
- 38:15Speaker 3: was cool. Man.
- 38:15Speaker 6: I'm glad we're that was whistle Pig anymore solely because
- 38:18Speaker 6: they got rid of the guy who hosted up. Yes,
- 38:21Speaker 6: he went old guy who was.
- 38:22Speaker 2: Like he was with like U XK.
- 38:25Speaker 1: He was like in that world extreme sports with whistle Pig.
- 38:29Speaker 6: And then yeah, once he left, I felt good that
- 38:32Speaker 6: we were no longer with the company. I hope they're
- 38:34Speaker 6: doing well. But that dude what I forget his name,
- 38:36Speaker 6: I forget everything about the trip, but where's was? But
- 38:39Speaker 6: he was all time.
- 38:42Speaker 5: School. Probably doesn't even realize how much we say where's blo?
- 38:45Speaker 3: Yeah, no, I have no idea every trip, every trip,
- 38:49Speaker 3: every trip out of somewhere, like everybody got everything.
- 38:52Speaker 5: Somebody says, wait, where's block.
- 38:53Speaker 6: I still don't know how it began.
- 38:55Speaker 4: Maybe it's that one and then it's like, wait, this
- 38:58Speaker 4: isn't brothers.
- 38:58Speaker 3: Yeah, I hope to one day to get to be
- 39:02Speaker 3: be on a trip with you guys.
- 39:05Speaker 2: What are you doing super Bowl?
- 39:06Speaker 5: Hey?
- 39:06Speaker 3: That would be cool. Yeah, that's we know.
- 39:10Speaker 5: Boss won't take up a bed, he'll be on.
- 39:11Speaker 3: Yeah, right, you ain't got to worry about anywhere. I'll
- 39:13Speaker 3: find it. I'll find a place. But no, it would
- 39:16Speaker 3: just be cool to just hang out with the boys, man.
- 39:19Speaker 3: Like I feel like the only time I get to
- 39:20Speaker 3: see you guys is if, like you know, I come
- 39:22Speaker 3: here or you know, I want to do a better
- 39:24Speaker 3: effort of getting you guys out to the property, but
- 39:27Speaker 3: also bring you into some of the stuff that I'm
- 39:29Speaker 3: doing now. I get you out to like a shooting range.
- 39:31Speaker 2: And stuff like that.
- 39:32Speaker 3: Do some stuff for inside the bus, like the scenes
- 39:35Speaker 3: content stuff like that, Like I know you had you
- 39:37Speaker 3: got to experience it.
- 39:38Speaker 4: Uh yeah, very highly.
- 39:42Speaker 3: But we got to get you guys all out there, man, dude.
- 39:44Speaker 5: Another one of my favorite Bloss stories. Bloss this was
- 39:48Speaker 5: the day he was crowned the King of Karma and
- 39:51Speaker 5: he posted a story on April.
- 39:52Speaker 1: Fools, dude, and this was the craziest.
- 39:58Speaker 2: Thing of all time when I'm was your you're about
- 40:01Speaker 2: to find out.
- 40:02Speaker 5: Bloss He posted a photo on April Fools in the
- 40:05Speaker 5: hospital bed like hooked up to IVY or whatever, like
- 40:09Speaker 5: facing out and naturally everyone swipes up, Bro, are you good?
- 40:13Speaker 5: He's like, no, I'm just messing with y'all. Whatever it was,
- 40:16Speaker 5: and I kid you not. A week later, this man
- 40:19Speaker 5: posts another one and I'm like, why are you still trolling?
- 40:23Speaker 5: He's like, nah, broh toward my a c l like
- 40:25Speaker 5: no shot would happened. He is a trampling.
- 40:29Speaker 6: I remember he said you went up trying to be
- 40:31Speaker 6: Kobe and then you came down. Your knee just exploded.
- 40:34Speaker 3: That's exactly how it happened, man. But it was April fools.
- 40:37Speaker 5: Man.
- 40:37Speaker 3: I just found like I was like, man, like, what's
- 40:39Speaker 3: a good April Fools joke?
- 40:41Speaker 2: And I was scrolling.
- 40:42Speaker 3: I was scrolling on Google. I found this. I think
- 40:44Speaker 3: the dude's foot was white. Dude, It's like if you
- 40:48Speaker 3: didn't pay attention to the photo, like that has an infection,
- 40:51Speaker 3: man you But yeah, I posted this photo of this
- 40:56Speaker 3: dude in the same leg and everything right, leg wrapped
- 40:59Speaker 3: up little bit. I took the exact same photo a
- 41:01Speaker 3: week later after I tore uh my patella. It was,
- 41:05Speaker 3: and uh yeah, I was at the trampoline park just
- 41:07Speaker 3: trying to impress my step sod, letting him know I
- 41:09Speaker 3: still had it, and went up for the Kobe under
- 41:12Speaker 3: the legs and me just exploded in the air.
- 41:14Speaker 6: Dude, you having to get on the bus from the back.
- 41:18Speaker 5: Oh, yeah, wiped.
- 41:23Speaker 3: That was It was a it was like a little
- 41:25Speaker 3: step ladder.
- 41:26Speaker 5: Yeah, it's still there, still there, the same ladder.
- 41:29Speaker 7: I gotta get I gotta get flowers.
- 41:32Speaker 2: Uh.
- 41:32Speaker 6: King of Karma. He also might have switched up once
- 41:36Speaker 6: he left Busting and became King of good Karma because
- 41:38Speaker 6: there was a time when I was dating my ex
- 41:41Speaker 6: girlfriend and she lived in a bad part in North Nashville,
- 41:44Speaker 6: and there were some bad gun shots that went off.
- 41:46Speaker 6: So Boss was a patrol man at this time. I
- 41:49Speaker 6: call him. I'm like, hey, I don't know if you
- 41:51Speaker 6: mind like coming over. I can't remember if I was there.
- 41:53Speaker 6: I don't I don't think I was there, and I
- 41:55Speaker 6: was in town, so I was on my way and
- 41:57Speaker 6: you're like, don't worry, I go check it out. I
- 41:59Speaker 6: pull up. Boss is out front the squad car, like
- 42:02Speaker 6: making sure everything's good. My girlfriend at the time, she's
- 42:05Speaker 6: like all razzled bloss stays out in front of her
- 42:08Speaker 6: house all night in the squad car, chill and just
- 42:10Speaker 6: making sure everything's cool. And I'll never forget that man,
- 42:13Speaker 6: even though hopefully I'll forget that girl. I'll never forget
- 42:16Speaker 6: what you did, so I do appreciate.
- 42:19Speaker 3: It's just it's it's nice to be able to to
- 42:21Speaker 3: do stuff like that, man, especially like in the position
- 42:24Speaker 3: that I'm in now. Man Like, anytime I get an
- 42:26Speaker 3: opportunity to just like help somebody, man Like, that's what
- 42:29Speaker 3: it's all about, dude, That's what I mean. That's what
- 42:30Speaker 3: friendships are for, man. And I know you guys would
- 42:32Speaker 3: do the exact same thing for me if I ever
- 42:34Speaker 3: needed anything. So it's just nice, dude. It's it always
- 42:38Speaker 3: feels good to feel, you know, to help somebody out
- 42:41Speaker 3: there that you love and care about.
- 42:43Speaker 5: Change is that.
- 42:45Speaker 2: I feel like my question is going to lead that
- 42:47Speaker 2: another way if you want to go.
- 42:48Speaker 4: Okay, I was gonna I was just gonna say you
- 42:51Speaker 4: saying that reminded of me of when you when you
- 42:54Speaker 4: two conspired to shift night.
- 42:56Speaker 5: I don't know how much details we can go into, Okay,
- 42:59Speaker 5: so we're good.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Definitely hit that statue of limitations, yeah.
- 43:04Speaker 5: Man, Mischief Night another personal Hall of Fame bloss moment
- 43:08Speaker 5: for me. We we set up the scene to roll
- 43:11Speaker 5: Will's house on Mischief Night, and all the boys are
- 43:14Speaker 5: in on it. We're all hype, and I'm thinking, man,
- 43:16Speaker 5: how can we take this to the next level? And
- 43:18Speaker 5: who do you call when you want to take things
- 43:19Speaker 5: to the next level? You call Bloss called bloss Of.
- 43:23Speaker 5: I'm like, hey, we got to pull off this double
- 43:25Speaker 5: prank on the boys. This is what time will be there?
- 43:27Speaker 5: Do you think you can make it? In mind you
- 43:29Speaker 5: I did this very last minute and.
- 43:32Speaker 3: So last minute. It was Game seven of the World Series,
- 43:35Speaker 3: and I'm a big Dodger fan.
- 43:38Speaker 5: And bloss still showed up. And dude, when he rolled up,
- 43:41Speaker 5: I mean, it could not have turned out better. I
- 43:46Speaker 5: Delainey the fence.
- 43:48Speaker 4: Yes, I am within his back in Will's.
- 43:52Speaker 6: Backyard, jumped or jumped the fence.
- 43:54Speaker 4: I thought went with him, though, I think, yeah, I
- 43:57Speaker 4: put through brother, the video you have of all of
- 44:00Speaker 4: us just walking down.
- 44:01Speaker 2: The street with we parked right next to youear.
- 44:03Speaker 4: I guess.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Yeah. So I'm watching the whole time, and I'm like,
- 44:08Speaker 3: I hope they don't see me. I reclined the seat back,
- 44:12Speaker 3: but I'm like, I got a capture investigator.
- 44:19Speaker 4: Everybody.
- 44:21Speaker 5: He said, oh ship the cops.
- 44:25Speaker 3: Dude to feel that though, like, I'm so envious of
- 44:28Speaker 3: that feeling.
- 44:28Speaker 6: I can still feel the rush I got when Delaney
- 44:31Speaker 6: screamed that, and everyone just.
- 44:32Speaker 2: Kind of a nice rush.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Somehow, Will still didn't realize we were out there with
- 44:38Speaker 4: the lights on.
- 44:38Speaker 6: He just was pregnant.
- 44:42Speaker 3: Pregnant sorry due to uh dude, the way you guys
- 44:47Speaker 3: described it, the one like when you guys debriefed it
- 44:49Speaker 3: after man is just like, Man, I feel like a
- 44:52Speaker 3: kid again. Man, I feel like a kid. Yeah, because
- 44:55Speaker 3: I used to do that stuff when I was a kid.
- 44:57Speaker 3: Why we that feeling resonates with us, man, But used
- 45:00Speaker 3: to go ding dong ditch man, you.
- 45:02Speaker 5: Know, used to people's running from the cops like there's
- 45:05Speaker 5: just nothing better.
- 45:06Speaker 2: So we would just do that.
- 45:07Speaker 3: We would see we would see cops on the road
- 45:09Speaker 3: and me and my buddies we would be out past curfew,
- 45:11Speaker 3: and we just start running.
- 45:12Speaker 8: Didn't do anything, start running just to see, just to
- 45:16Speaker 8: feel that rush, man, and to know that I was
- 45:20Speaker 8: able to give you guys that feeling a true gift.
- 45:22Speaker 3: Dude, So cool.
- 45:24Speaker 5: Last like on the funny side, I don't know if
- 45:25Speaker 5: your goal more serious. One of my other favorite blossism
- 45:28Speaker 5: is just when he would post hilarious food on Twitter,
- 45:32Speaker 5: like what.
- 45:34Speaker 6: Like it'd be like gross, hot dogs up.
- 45:36Speaker 5: It's like it'd be like dinner tonight.
- 45:38Speaker 1: Yeah, hot dog salad was the one.
- 45:41Speaker 2: Bro.
- 45:43Speaker 1: No, My my question was gonna like start leading into
- 45:47Speaker 1: when you left busting to go pursue what you're doing
- 45:50Speaker 1: now if you wanted to kind of get into that,
- 45:52Speaker 1: because you mentioned earlier that like us coming on kind
- 45:54Speaker 1: of helped you see this other lane that you kind
- 45:59Speaker 1: of wanted to You're welcome to see.
- 46:01Speaker 3: Yeah, no, seriously, I appreciate it. But yeah, no, So
- 46:05Speaker 3: it was obviously like an internal battle that I was
- 46:07Speaker 3: I was fighting at the time, man, because you like
- 46:10Speaker 3: your gifted this opportunity, and you don't want to seem
- 46:13Speaker 3: unappreciative of the opportunity. But at the same time, like Will,
- 46:19Speaker 3: Will is like such a reasonable person man, and just
- 46:21Speaker 3: kind of he just gets it. So when I had
- 46:25Speaker 3: told him, I was like, hey, man, like I'm really
- 46:27Speaker 3: fighting this internal battle. I had served in the military
- 46:31Speaker 3: for nine years and that feeling of like of service
- 46:35Speaker 3: hadn't left me. And like I said, it was something
- 46:38Speaker 3: that I was battling every day on the bus, and
- 46:40Speaker 3: I was just like, man, should I be doing something
- 46:43Speaker 3: something else? Like I was so used to just doing
- 46:45Speaker 3: something bigger than myself and not saying that, like, you know,
- 46:49Speaker 3: working for the bus didn't do anything for me internally,
- 46:52Speaker 3: It one hundred percent did. I was just fighting a
- 46:54Speaker 3: different battle internally. So I brought it up to him,
- 46:59Speaker 3: and I still remember I like, I was in East
- 47:01Speaker 3: Nashville at the time, and I pulled in the burger
- 47:02Speaker 3: up the parking lot and uh. I just remember calling
- 47:06Speaker 3: him and I was like, hey, Will, like, I really
- 47:09Speaker 3: think like I want to, like, I think I'm gonna
- 47:13Speaker 3: go to the police academy. And it kind of caught
- 47:15Speaker 3: him off guard and he's like what. I was like, man, Like,
- 47:18Speaker 3: I'm just I'm really finding this internal battle and I
- 47:22Speaker 3: just feel like, you know, that's where my that's where
- 47:24Speaker 3: my purpose is at. And he's like all right, He's like,
- 47:29Speaker 3: what is it What is a number that it would
- 47:30Speaker 3: take to keep you here? And I was like, holy crap,
- 47:36Speaker 3: Like what a number? Like you mean like like like
- 47:40Speaker 3: a dollar amount And he's like, yeah, what you know,
- 47:43Speaker 3: what number is it going to take for you know,
- 47:44Speaker 3: to keep you here? And I was like, I was like, well,
- 47:47Speaker 3: I don't think there's a number that I could put
- 47:49Speaker 3: on a piece of paper that could uh that could
- 47:52Speaker 3: replace what I'm feeling right now. And he's like, I
- 47:54Speaker 3: respect that. He's like, I can't, I can't. I can't
- 47:57Speaker 3: put a price on purpose. And he's like, go go
- 47:59Speaker 3: do what you need to do. And I was like,
- 48:02Speaker 3: I know at that moment, I felt like, you know,
- 48:05Speaker 3: weight was lifted off of my shoulders because like for
- 48:09Speaker 3: somebody like him, you know, and Taylor, like, dude, you're
- 48:12Speaker 3: on this trajectory path. You know, you're having success and
- 48:16Speaker 3: your main producer is telling you that they you know
- 48:18Speaker 3: that they want to leave. I don't even know how
- 48:20Speaker 3: they felt about it, you know, at the time. But
- 48:22Speaker 3: the way will handled it, I'll always I'll always be
- 48:25Speaker 3: grateful for because had he said something else or made
- 48:28Speaker 3: me feel guilty about it, it's probably something that I
- 48:32Speaker 3: would I would uh, I would resent him for right,
- 48:35Speaker 3: you know, and not pursuing you know, that career path man.
- 48:39Speaker 3: So I mean, I appreciate the way he handled that, man,
- 48:42Speaker 3: And I don't think I've ever told him that publicly.
- 48:45Speaker 3: So if he sees this, you know, hey it man,
- 48:49Speaker 3: thank you.
- 48:50Speaker 5: Yeah, watching will operate with you in that moment and
- 48:52Speaker 5: then the moment when you fully left. Yes, just says
- 48:55Speaker 5: everything you need to know about Will as a person,
- 48:58Speaker 5: and you know, he's he is a good lead and
- 49:00Speaker 5: like somebody that you do want.
- 49:01Speaker 2: You said it like it.
- 49:03Speaker 1: That is something that is so scary to go and
- 49:05Speaker 1: try and tell your boss in a very cool situation
- 49:11Speaker 1: that we're all part of that. You know, it's just
- 49:14Speaker 1: there's something inside that isn't getting itched and I gotta
- 49:18Speaker 1: see it through. And yeah, to get that responses, I'm
- 49:21Speaker 1: for you. I'm sure you're kind of like, all right,
- 49:23Speaker 1: that proves even more of the point that I need
- 49:27Speaker 1: to go and.
- 49:27Speaker 2: See what this other opportunity could could have for me.
- 49:30Speaker 3: Yeah, no, for sure. And he was like, he's like, hey,
- 49:33Speaker 3: can you just do me one favor and can you
- 49:35Speaker 3: just can you just help you know, whoever replaces you.
- 49:38Speaker 3: And at the time, you know, Zach Patton was you know,
- 49:41Speaker 3: coming back from school, I think he was on break
- 49:42Speaker 3: or whatever, and he was going to fill in, and
- 49:44Speaker 3: then COVID happened. Having you guys there, y'all, y'all literally
- 49:48Speaker 3: made the transition so so seamless for me to allow
- 49:52Speaker 3: and do that and get through the academy and then
- 49:55Speaker 3: you know, finishing at the academy and talking to Will,
- 49:58Speaker 3: He was like, you want to come back so sick,
- 50:00Speaker 3: And I was like, for real.
- 50:02Speaker 4: I didn't know that. So you had left for a
- 50:04Speaker 4: bit and then came back for a bit.
- 50:06Speaker 3: I left for a bit, but I was still still
- 50:08Speaker 3: helping and Will didn't know that. So Zach, you know, Zach,
- 50:14Speaker 3: Zach was you know, making phone calls. I was still
- 50:16Speaker 3: helping him edit it. At time, I couldn't get could
- 50:19Speaker 3: I didn't want to tell Will and he found out
- 50:22Speaker 3: later on, But like I couldn't get paid during that
- 50:24Speaker 3: time because I was working where I was at. And
- 50:28Speaker 3: I think that spoke a lot to Will to know that,
- 50:31Speaker 3: like I had still been helping, not asking for anything,
- 50:35Speaker 3: and yeh, you know, you know I think that, uh.
- 50:39Speaker 1: Well, there's like a weird thing I feel like with
- 50:42Speaker 1: this place that a lot of us sitting here can
- 50:44Speaker 1: agree on is being there so early and you obviously
- 50:47Speaker 1: before us, Like there is a weird like sense of
- 50:50Speaker 1: like ownership in it, and so you trying to help
- 50:54Speaker 1: that next wave whatever it is. Like, yeah, I mean
- 50:57Speaker 1: that is obviously helped us get going, and it it's
- 51:01Speaker 1: only helped the rest of how Buston is gone.
- 51:03Speaker 2: So I mean, you know.
- 51:06Speaker 7: That mean with the Ninja Turtles and Splinter and then
- 51:08Speaker 7: they're grown up.
- 51:12Speaker 5: And like go to post that.
- 51:17Speaker 4: Like it's kind of going off like what you said,
- 51:19Speaker 4: like being able to trust us to like, all right,
- 51:22Speaker 4: I know when he when you were training JP, I
- 51:25Speaker 4: trust JP, He's not going to fuck this up. And
- 51:27Speaker 4: then when you were training me, I trust mit, she's
- 51:28Speaker 4: not gonna suck this up. Like I'm sure we didn't
- 51:31Speaker 4: really know it at the time, but like thinking about
- 51:33Speaker 4: it that way, it's like it's cool that you trusted
- 51:36Speaker 4: us that much, and like we trusted you to like
- 51:38Speaker 4: teach us and everything, which is it's it's cool to
- 51:41Speaker 4: like think back.
- 51:42Speaker 3: On hearing hearing that is is such a such a
- 51:47Speaker 3: such a reward man that like I didn't anticipate like
- 51:50Speaker 3: getting like emotional or whatever, but like hearing that man
- 51:53Speaker 3: like brings me so much joy and uh again, like
- 51:56Speaker 3: it just it continues to just uh, you know, to
- 51:59Speaker 3: make me make me proud of this brand, dude, because
- 52:02Speaker 3: the right people are running the ship, dude, and the
- 52:04Speaker 3: right people are behind the scenes. Like I feel like
- 52:07Speaker 3: you guys have yet to miss on the people that
- 52:09Speaker 3: you guys bring in even even even since you guys
- 52:11Speaker 3: have like kind of taking the reins. Man, Like all
- 52:14Speaker 3: these all the new guys that are showing up and
- 52:16Speaker 3: doing it like they're just like they fit in, man,
- 52:19Speaker 3: And it's like it's really freaking cool. Man. It's it's
- 52:23Speaker 3: so nice to be able to come back here, yeah
- 52:25Speaker 3: you know, and uh and just experience and still be
- 52:28Speaker 3: a part of it, man, because like a lot of
- 52:29Speaker 3: me does miss it. You know.
- 52:32Speaker 1: I can't put a price on purpose, though, are Yeah,
- 52:37Speaker 1: you gotta come back for four square when we get going.
- 52:39Speaker 3: It's been fun too, man, I'm telling you, there's a
- 52:42Speaker 3: lot of times where I'm just.
- 52:43Speaker 1: Like, Thursday, dude, you did that to somebody?
- 52:51Speaker 2: Yeah you did you? I know. But you know what
- 52:55Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 52:55Speaker 1: Here at the shop, you pull in behind like a
- 52:58Speaker 1: guest or somebody was it Lany?
- 53:00Speaker 2: It might have been somebody.
- 53:02Speaker 1: Boss has great pranks now that he's yeah.
- 53:06Speaker 3: Oh yeah, yeah. Whoever has the task of arresting that man.
- 53:14Speaker 1: Could look yeah human, it's easier.
- 53:18Speaker 3: Yeah, he just used weapons. That's why you got a
- 53:19Speaker 3: gun belt.
- 53:20Speaker 6: Anytime, anytime, like if I get pulled over in Nashville,
- 53:24Speaker 6: I immediately am shooting bloss of text.
- 53:26Speaker 7: I'm like Hey, is there any way I'm getting out
- 53:27Speaker 7: of this.
- 53:27Speaker 6: Tickele And he's like and he's like, dude, this is
- 53:30Speaker 6: not my side. It's like I swear I would I
- 53:33Speaker 6: would do it. And then I like, I hit up
- 53:35Speaker 6: Bloss for every petty crime that happens in my life.
- 53:37Speaker 6: When my headphones got stolen to Second Vegas the second
- 53:41Speaker 6: time in Nashville. They have been Clarksville, and he's like, bro,
- 53:43Speaker 6: I'll come pick you up right now.
- 53:44Speaker 2: We'll go.
- 53:45Speaker 6: I'm just gonna let you know. It's at an apartment complex,
- 53:47Speaker 6: so if you're prepared to go knock on every door,
- 53:50Speaker 6: I'll come pick you up. And I'm like, no, I'm
- 53:52Speaker 6: not doing that, but I do appreciate you being ready.
- 53:54Speaker 3: Well, I know, because I like, dude, if it pops
- 53:56Speaker 3: up on my feet, I'm like and it's like, I'm.
- 53:59Speaker 6: Pretty sure hit me up like oh yeah on Twitter
- 54:02Speaker 6: and he's like, bro, are we rolling?
- 54:05Speaker 3: Like I said, man, any anytime I get a chance
- 54:07Speaker 3: to help, you.
- 54:09Speaker 2: Know, yeah, don't mess with us here at the bus, dude.
- 54:13Speaker 5: So I like when you left Busting Forward the last time,
- 54:18Speaker 5: like when it was final. Obviously there's some anxiety that
- 54:21Speaker 5: goes into that and I think it's cool because I mean,
- 54:25Speaker 5: you already had another full time job as well. But
- 54:28Speaker 5: there's a lot of people out there that listen. I
- 54:30Speaker 5: feel like, especially our core demographic that probably listens to this,
- 54:33Speaker 5: who always think about a career change, or even if
- 54:36Speaker 5: you love your job but you feel called to something different,
- 54:40Speaker 5: what is just like some advice. I know you have
- 54:42Speaker 5: the the no price on purpose, but like when you
- 54:45Speaker 5: were officially making the jump, like were you anxious? Were
- 54:50Speaker 5: you a little bit scared? And what kind of put
- 54:51Speaker 5: those things at ease?
- 54:53Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 54:54Speaker 3: No, And I appreciate you asking that question because I
- 54:56Speaker 3: think this is this is really important for a lot
- 54:58Speaker 3: of people to hear. So this wasn't the first time
- 55:01Speaker 3: I made a transition, right, Like I'd got out of
- 55:03Speaker 3: the army after giving nine years, you know, of service.
- 55:08Speaker 3: So there's a part of you, there's a part of
- 55:12Speaker 3: that situation that prepared me for leaving for busting right,
- 55:15Speaker 3: And I watch it happen so many times with like
- 55:18Speaker 3: younger soldiers, older soldiers, and even soldiers out there today,
- 55:22Speaker 3: you know, committing suicide. You know, there's twenty two soldiers
- 55:25Speaker 3: that commit suicide each and every day, and that stuff's
- 55:28Speaker 3: not forgotten. But I feel like a lot of those
- 55:33Speaker 3: a lot of those suicides probably come from people who
- 55:36Speaker 3: place their identity into something so much that you forget
- 55:41Speaker 3: who you are at the core, and the moment that
- 55:44Speaker 3: that's stripped away from you, you find out who you are.
- 55:48Speaker 3: So anybody that's out there who's making a transition, whether
- 55:52Speaker 3: it's on your terms or whether it's on their terms,
- 55:54Speaker 3: because it can happen to anybody, don't place your identity
- 55:59Speaker 3: into something so much that it handicaps you. And that
- 56:02Speaker 3: goes that would I fault? I took that and I
- 56:05Speaker 3: came to busting with that because this brand is so
- 56:08Speaker 3: big now and it's, like you said, you take ownership
- 56:12Speaker 3: and a lot of the things that you do here
- 56:13Speaker 3: right because you helped it grow. But if I would
- 56:17Speaker 3: have held onto that and made it my identity so
- 56:19Speaker 3: much that it handicapped me, I wouldn't have been able
- 56:22Speaker 3: to make that transition. So if you're out there, you're
- 56:26Speaker 3: a police officer, you're a soldier, you're a part of
- 56:29Speaker 3: a brand that you're proud of, Like, don't put your
- 56:33Speaker 3: identity in it man so much that it handicaps you.
- 56:36Speaker 3: You know, be who you are, Be proud of who
- 56:39Speaker 3: you are at the core and what you bring to
- 56:41Speaker 3: the table as an individual. Don't let that brand define you,
- 56:45Speaker 3: let your last name, let the name on your back
- 56:49Speaker 3: define you.
- 56:50Speaker 2: Hell yeah, hell yeah.
- 56:52Speaker 5: That was awesome, man, And it's like one of my
- 56:54Speaker 5: favorite you know, Simon Sinek, he has this thing where
- 56:58Speaker 5: he's it's like the the theme of it is All
- 57:01Speaker 5: You'll Ever Deserve is a styrofoam cup, and he talks
- 57:03Speaker 5: about how one year he was invited to speak at
- 57:06Speaker 5: this conference. And when he was invited to speak at
- 57:09Speaker 5: this conference, his plane ticket was paid for, he was
- 57:11Speaker 5: in first class, he had a driver at the hotel,
- 57:14Speaker 5: he had coffee waiting for him and everything. And then
- 57:18Speaker 5: the following year he wasn't a speaker, he still wanted
- 57:20Speaker 5: to go to the conference. He paid for his plane ticket,
- 57:23Speaker 5: he booked his own hotel, and he had to pick
- 57:25Speaker 5: up his own coffee. And his whole thing was people
- 57:28Speaker 5: are respecting you, not for like the person that you are,
- 57:32Speaker 5: but for the position you're in. And so always keep
- 57:35Speaker 5: that in mind when like, you know, don't confuse your
- 57:37Speaker 5: position with your person like with your personality with your absity.
- 57:41Speaker 5: And it's because that was a perfect way to explain
- 57:44Speaker 5: it on your end. So that was awesome. That was
- 57:46Speaker 5: a great explanation.
- 57:48Speaker 3: I appreciate it, man, And like I said, Man, it
- 57:50Speaker 3: just made the transition easier.
- 57:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:52Speaker 3: Was it bittersweet? Absolutely, you know when when Will and
- 57:55Speaker 3: I sat down, and it's crazy that there was a
- 57:57Speaker 3: fan there they he captured that much.
- 58:03Speaker 5: Because I could remember fel was one of the people
- 58:04Speaker 5: from the squad or feels.
- 58:05Speaker 3: A random was like I remember tweeting, you know, just
- 58:11Speaker 3: kind of like that I was leaving the podcast and
- 58:15Speaker 3: somebody posted under that and saying like I think this
- 58:18Speaker 3: is the moment where and I was like, I'm not
- 58:21Speaker 3: going to acknowledge that, but yeah, that.
- 58:23Speaker 2: Is but it was.
- 58:25Speaker 3: It was crazy, man. And I still remember the conversation.
- 58:28Speaker 3: Bill was so great about it, man, and he was
- 58:30Speaker 3: just like, you know, just asking me, like, are we
- 58:32Speaker 3: ever going to get you full time? You know, one
- 58:36Speaker 3: last effort, you know, but it's like, you know, you
- 58:40Speaker 3: get to you get to leave, you know, with your
- 58:43Speaker 3: head held high and proud of you know, the work
- 58:45Speaker 3: that you did and where the brand was at man.
- 58:47Speaker 3: And it's it's something that I carry with me and
- 58:49Speaker 3: I'm proud of and I'll display all over my new office.
- 58:53Speaker 3: You know, the accolades and the you know, the plaque
- 58:56Speaker 3: that he gave us, you know, the silver play button,
- 59:00Speaker 3: all that stuff, you know, will be hanging on my
- 59:02Speaker 3: walls and proud and continuing to root this brand on
- 59:06Speaker 3: absolute leaving on your.
- 59:07Speaker 6: Own terms is powerful stuff.
- 59:09Speaker 5: Yeah, definitely.
- 59:10Speaker 4: It's like one of the things here, Like I mean,
- 59:12Speaker 4: it's always an open door, right you can literally just
- 59:15Speaker 4: show up when you want, and it's.
- 59:16Speaker 3: Like, that's the coolest thing.
- 59:19Speaker 4: Man.
- 59:19Speaker 3: It's like nobody has ever nobody, nobody has ever made
- 59:23Speaker 3: me feel unwanted here. You know, Will Taylor always embraced
- 59:26Speaker 3: me like I'm family. You know, you guys the same thing.
- 59:30Speaker 3: I mean, it's just cool, man. It's always nice to
- 59:32Speaker 3: come back. I try to stay away because, like I said,
- 59:35Speaker 3: you don't want to be that guy hanging around. But
- 59:37Speaker 3: it also just makes seeing you guys that much more special.
- 59:40Speaker 7: Right, absolutely, I think of anything you don't come around enough.
- 59:44Speaker 3: And dude, rind and dude, I know what it's like
- 59:47Speaker 3: for people to come in and just throw you off
- 59:50Speaker 3: your rhythm and your flow, especially with everything that you
- 59:52Speaker 3: guys have.
- 59:54Speaker 4: Day like football season is different.
- 59:56Speaker 3: But I mean Thursday streams if y'all want the boy
- 59:58Speaker 3: to ever pop in because those look like a lot
- 1:00:01Speaker 3: of fun. Dude watch yeah, dude, So because I was
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: to see him today.
- 1:00:07Speaker 2: You just miss Delaney too.
- 1:00:08Speaker 4: Oh he always Clay always bounces right away whenever we're done.
- 1:00:11Speaker 3: Really Yeah, because he went to a Goora high school
- 1:00:16Speaker 3: and I went to real Mesa, so we're like rival school. Yeah,
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: I just missed Clay. But I believe I played against
- 1:00:22Speaker 3: his brother Casey uh when he was an Oaks Christian
- 1:00:25Speaker 3: and stuff like that.
- 1:00:26Speaker 5: That's so crazy and is so small.
- 1:00:28Speaker 3: So small man. But I just remember hearing all about
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: Clay Matthews like in high school. Yeah, so it's cool.
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: I was hoping to say, what's up.
- 1:00:38Speaker 5: And we got you gotta come those worlds together. But yeah,
- 1:00:41Speaker 5: if you can somehow sneak by before NFL season's over,
- 1:00:44Speaker 5: meet each other.
- 1:00:45Speaker 3: So is he living here full time?
- 1:00:47Speaker 5: Yeah? And so yeah, he's full time with the NFL
- 1:00:50Speaker 5: locker room. So obviously there's only like two weeks.
- 1:00:54Speaker 3: But even Delaney too as a as a forty nine
- 1:00:57Speaker 3: er fan, like delay, you're forty You're not tight, don't
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: do this man that man, Yeah, we were man, because
- 1:01:05Speaker 3: we had Vernon Davis. But like Niner fans still remember
- 1:01:08Speaker 3: how alive he did come up, Like, yeah, his talents
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: were were unleashed and unlocked when he came to Nashville,
- 1:01:16Speaker 3: but like you bet you're ass he wasn't. He was
- 1:01:18Speaker 3: still balling on the Niners behind the scenes and under
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: the radar out there. But we had got on the
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: times for seeing that.
- 1:01:25Speaker 6: We had Delaney on a couple of months ago and
- 1:01:28Speaker 6: he like fully walked us through like his first years
- 1:01:31Speaker 6: in the league and I don't think I really like
- 1:01:32Speaker 6: sat down and like actively listened to every detail and
- 1:01:35Speaker 6: it's such a just awesome story.
- 1:01:37Speaker 7: Go check out that episode if you're.
- 1:01:41Speaker 6: Crazy, bro. Yeah, And Delaney is another guy that's like tight,
- 1:01:44Speaker 6: similar like to George Kittle to where it's like he
- 1:01:47Speaker 6: has every he's and especially like where he grew up
- 1:01:50Speaker 6: and like the circumstances and him making it out of that.
- 1:01:53Speaker 6: He's just one of the nicest, most respectable guys, funniest dudes.
- 1:01:56Speaker 1: And he talked about in that episode just being like
- 1:01:58Speaker 1: I know that I had like I had talent, but
- 1:02:02Speaker 1: people helped me get here and I am not taking
- 1:02:06Speaker 1: that for granted.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: But he definitely gets it too.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: He's the man. He just comes back and hangs out
- 1:02:12Speaker 4: with us for twenty thirty minutes when we're dow in
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: the locker room and it's like there's nothing laughter the
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: entire time.
- 1:02:19Speaker 7: That today you just talking about Snowboarding's like, yeah, you snowboard?
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: Following his build on YouTube.
- 1:02:26Speaker 5: Crazy right, his bro.
- 1:02:29Speaker 6: And there to floor.
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: No, he's gotta get.
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: In the spring and the spring we're gonna try and
- 1:02:35Speaker 4: go out there.
- 1:02:36Speaker 5: Oh that would be suiting a dirt bike track.
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: Like, dang, that's awesome, dude. Yeah, I was following on
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: YouTube and I'm like, holy crap. Yeah, I got a
- 1:02:44Speaker 3: lot of ideas.
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: From him, That's what I was just saying.
- 1:02:47Speaker 6: Yeah, a quick circle back to bust In lore stuff
- 1:02:51Speaker 6: outside of George Kittle, Is there any specific guess from
- 1:02:54Speaker 6: your times with bust In that like really impacted you
- 1:02:56Speaker 6: or was just like a fan favorite for you.
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: Yeah. So, Brian Peters of course would carry water bro.
- 1:03:04Speaker 3: Brian Peters is one of the coolest dudes man ever. Man.
- 1:03:09Speaker 3: I mean, he's he's definitely one of those guests that
- 1:03:12Speaker 3: he's just not a guest man. He's like family, you know,
- 1:03:15Speaker 3: And he and he and he and he brings you
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: in like family. Again. Like when I got to follow
- 1:03:20Speaker 3: from Brian, like I was pumped because like, yeah, he
- 1:03:23Speaker 3: was a guest on The show Man, but he becomes
- 1:03:25Speaker 3: more than that.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Man.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: He's so relatable and always willing to lend some advice,
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: especially like in the fitness world. I would always like
- 1:03:32Speaker 3: reach out to him and ask him questions and stuff
- 1:03:34Speaker 3: like that, especially like cold therapy, breathing, Like he was
- 1:03:37Speaker 3: always always available, dude, And like, again, somebody doesn't have
- 1:03:42Speaker 3: to do that, but just happy to like share.
- 1:03:45Speaker 1: He's somebody that like listens and remembers the conversation you
- 1:03:48Speaker 1: had the next time you see him, will ask about that.
- 1:03:50Speaker 6: He's also one of the guys who built how we
- 1:03:55Speaker 6: got Dude, I.
- 1:03:57Speaker 5: Feel like he's a guest that he's like he has
- 1:04:00Speaker 5: to be as close as military mindset as you can
- 1:04:02Speaker 5: get without being in the military.
- 1:04:04Speaker 3: Yeah, because he does some stuff for like the Green
- 1:04:05Speaker 3: Berets and stuff like that out there. And uh yeah,
- 1:04:08Speaker 3: I still follow follow him. Follow It's always ring for him, dude. Yeah,
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: he's gotta be. He's right up there, man, I mean
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: George Kittle, Brian Peters, Darren Waller, but again, somebody else,
- 1:04:24Speaker 3: you know who just is available, like makes himself available.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: Who else is I mean jelly Roll Ernest, like you know,
- 1:04:33Speaker 3: have relationships with them that have like here's a cool
- 1:04:36Speaker 3: jelly Roll story. So jelly Roll. It was like probably
- 1:04:40Speaker 3: a couple of years ago. It's like maybe like two
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: years ago. He was playing at the halftime show for
- 1:04:45Speaker 3: the Titans in this like he was he was definitely
- 1:04:48Speaker 3: like on the rise at that point, and I was
- 1:04:51Speaker 3: just so happened to be at the game and uh
- 1:04:54Speaker 3: he's performing at halftime, and uh I shoot him a
- 1:04:57Speaker 3: text message and I'm like, hey, brother, can't wait to
- 1:04:59Speaker 3: see you for for himlahlah blah. He's like, oh, you're
- 1:05:01Speaker 3: in the stadium and I'm like yeah. He's like after
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: I'm done performing, He's like come up to the box
- 1:05:06Speaker 3: and I'm like, no freaking way. And Casey's with me,
- 1:05:10Speaker 3: my wife and my buddy Jason is with me at
- 1:05:13Speaker 3: the time. Twelfth Titan shout out Jason, twelfth Titan, Let's go.
- 1:05:16Speaker 3: So Jason's Jason's a great friend of mine and somebody
- 1:05:19Speaker 3: I met through bussing' as well and has always been
- 1:05:21Speaker 3: like so nice and just hey, man, I got an
- 1:05:24Speaker 3: extra ticket. He's a season ticket holder, so he'd always
- 1:05:26Speaker 3: bring me along and stuff like that. But so he's
- 1:05:30Speaker 3: with me. The three of us are there, and uh,
- 1:05:33Speaker 3: I was like, hey, Jelly just told me to come
- 1:05:35Speaker 3: up to the box, and like, Jason's kind of nervous,
- 1:05:37Speaker 3: and I'm like, what's up. He's like, bro, remember I
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: told you like I used to record songs with Jelly
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: roll back in the day. I'm like, no way, and
- 1:05:47Speaker 3: uh He's like yeah, and he's like so he's just
- 1:05:49Speaker 3: kind of nervous. He's like, I wonder if he's gonna
- 1:05:51Speaker 3: remember me. So we got try to get up to
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: the box. I don't have credentials, but who do I call? Hey, Nate,
- 1:06:02Speaker 3: Jelly just invited me to the box. He comes down,
- 1:06:05Speaker 3: he gets me. We walked past everybody, right, It's like, hey,
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: they're with me. He takes me up to Jelly's box,
- 1:06:12Speaker 3: give Jelly a big old hug, introducing my wife, introducing
- 1:06:16Speaker 3: to Jason. They hit it off. They remember, and I
- 1:06:21Speaker 3: was like, this is so freaking cool man to be
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: able to like I think I think that's something we
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: all secretly love about this job, is being able to
- 1:06:29Speaker 3: share it with as many people as we possibly can
- 1:06:32Speaker 3: and right and bring them in, you know, inappropriate times. Man,
- 1:06:36Speaker 3: So to be able to do that for him, and
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: then for Jelly just to like just just remember somebody
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: on the bus and invite me up there. His old
- 1:06:44Speaker 3: family's up there and everything like that. Again, doesn't have
- 1:06:48Speaker 3: doesn't need to do that. Just such a kind soul man.
- 1:06:52Speaker 5: You and artists have a really cool relationship too. I
- 1:06:54Speaker 5: remember he texts you after something happened with while you
- 1:06:57Speaker 5: were a cop, and he's just checking in on you,
- 1:06:59Speaker 5: a man, are you all good?
- 1:07:00Speaker 4: And that's just man.
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: I can always I can always count on getting a
- 1:07:03Speaker 3: text message from Ernest when something crazy goes down, especially
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: the days that I was a patrol officer. But I
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: remember when he was when when Ryman was first born,
- 1:07:12Speaker 3: he used to he used to roll around North Nashville
- 1:07:15Speaker 3: with Ryman just to put him to sleep. At like
- 1:07:18Speaker 3: three four in the morning. Dude, He's just like, threw it,
- 1:07:20Speaker 3: I'm gonna go for a drive. And I remember he
- 1:07:22Speaker 3: called me. He's like hey, man, like are you up,
- 1:07:27Speaker 3: And I'm like, yeah, I'm working, and he's just like, oh,
- 1:07:29Speaker 3: I'm just in northern Nashville, just driving around or whatever
- 1:07:31Speaker 3: if you're around and I'm like, dude, meet me in
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: this parking lot. And so meet me in the parking
- 1:07:36Speaker 3: lot and we're just we're just hanging, well, ryming, sleeping
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: and you know, we grab a we grab a picture together.
- 1:07:42Speaker 3: I'll make sure to send you guys that and stuff
- 1:07:44Speaker 3: like that. But like again, man, just just some cool
- 1:07:47Speaker 3: humans and I love that, you know, the brand was
- 1:07:49Speaker 3: able to like, you know, kind of introduce me to
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: those guys and they're friends. Yeah for ever now, man.
- 1:07:55Speaker 2: Yeah, so cool man. That's hilarious around.
- 1:07:59Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the most earned thing.
- 1:08:01Speaker 6: Though.
- 1:08:03Speaker 5: One of my favorite videos on the internet is Rhyman
- 1:08:05Speaker 5: meeting Snoop Dogg.
- 1:08:06Speaker 2: What's up Snoop dog Yeah.
- 1:08:11Speaker 4: Yeah, so you obviously left our podcast however long ago
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: that was, but now you're doing you started up another one.
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:08:20Speaker 3: So a buddy of mine Zach and uh Zachary Bell
- 1:08:23Speaker 3: and and Nick. He goes by the Fat Electrician. We
- 1:08:26Speaker 3: uh yeah, so funny. Everybody's so so nervous to talk,
- 1:08:33Speaker 3: like to dress Nick by his actually like his name,
- 1:08:36Speaker 3: the fat Electrician. So like you're the electrician guy on
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: the internet, right, and like it's okay you can say fat,
- 1:08:42Speaker 3: So it's kind of like it's funny. Yeah, but we
- 1:08:45Speaker 3: so Zach hit me up actually after I had left Busting,
- 1:08:48Speaker 3: and uh, I was just like, dude, I just left
- 1:08:51Speaker 3: like one of the biggest podcasts. Dude, Like I don't
- 1:08:53Speaker 3: I don't want to do this, Like I left probably
- 1:08:57Speaker 3: the biggest platform. Like I'm not gonna help you start
- 1:09:01Speaker 3: a podcast. But he just like blugged me for like
- 1:09:03Speaker 3: months and months and months, and I'm like, what exactly
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: are you trying to do. He's like, man, it's gonna
- 1:09:07Speaker 3: be one month, bi weekly. You record whenever you want,
- 1:09:12Speaker 3: get the episode done whenever you want, like on your terms.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: Everything's on your terms. And I'm like, all I find dude, Oh,
- 1:09:18Speaker 3: we'll help you. So we started this podcast called the
- 1:09:21Speaker 3: After Action Podcast where he would just have like a
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: lot of it was like military centric, just bringing in
- 1:09:26Speaker 3: veterans telling their story all that stuff. It goes really
- 1:09:29Speaker 3: well well. He has the fat electrician on there, and
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: they hit it off really well. We ended up recording
- 1:09:34Speaker 3: like three episodes like for three hours and ended up
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: staying in the studio for like five hours. Dude, Like
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: that's how that's how good they hit it off. So
- 1:09:47Speaker 3: fast forward. You know, a couple of months, we stopped
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: doing the the after Action podcasts just because of studio
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: space issues and stuff like that, and we decide to
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: show fit for the moment. Well, at the time Nick
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: and Zach get together, they come up with this idea
- 1:10:05Speaker 3: to start their own their own podcast. They approached me
- 1:10:08Speaker 3: at one of the range days that we had and
- 1:10:10Speaker 3: they're just like, hey, we want to start a podcast.
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: I'm right. I'm like, I'll never get out of this
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: world further I try to pull myself, the more fucking
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: get sucked in. So they they approached me and they're like,
- 1:10:24Speaker 3: well but hold on, you're not We don't want to
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: just hire you, like we want to make you an
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: owner in the brand. And I was like how much
- 1:10:31Speaker 3: are we talking? Because I want and it's not about
- 1:10:34Speaker 3: the money. I just wanted to make sure that it's
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: worth the time to be away from my family, like
- 1:10:38Speaker 3: you know at this like I'm married, i have two
- 1:10:40Speaker 3: step kids, like who I love spending time with their
- 1:10:43Speaker 3: like my best friends, you know, and like if I'm
- 1:10:45Speaker 3: gonna do something else, I just I want to make
- 1:10:47Speaker 3: sure it's it's worth it, you know. So you know,
- 1:10:50Speaker 3: they you know, we agreed on ownership and uh yeah,
- 1:10:54Speaker 3: so we started the Underwhelming podcast is what it's called.
- 1:10:57Speaker 6: And such a good name.
- 1:11:01Speaker 3: Well it's just it's on brand, man, Like you can't
- 1:11:03Speaker 3: funk up when your name it's on brand. And you know,
- 1:11:07Speaker 3: it's like so much that like we've created merch with
- 1:11:09Speaker 3: like hats and it's just like awesome, a blank hat
- 1:11:11Speaker 3: and just that's underwhelming.
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: That's fantastical.
- 1:11:15Speaker 3: So but yeah, man, it's a it's been fun. We
- 1:11:18Speaker 3: go out to Iowa to record. We have a studio
- 1:11:20Speaker 3: there and then I'm building a studio inside my house
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: to be the Nashville location. So we'll just go back
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: and forth. And it's doing really well right now.
- 1:11:31Speaker 7: So we were looking at the numbers before this and
- 1:11:33Speaker 7: it is doing well.
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: It's doing very well. Let's go go tap into that
- 1:11:39Speaker 4: for sure, because that's that's awesome.
- 1:11:40Speaker 6: It's you have to tell your chief of police, hey man.
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: That's a that's Nick. Nick and Nick and Zach's inside
- 1:11:49Speaker 3: Joe or something. They tell me, they're like, don't worry.
- 1:11:53Speaker 3: I don't worry. Sooner or later you'll be quitting. Quit.
- 1:11:58Speaker 3: And I'm like, like, what's the number. I was like,
- 1:12:00Speaker 3: you're gonna have to triple my salary. They're like done.
- 1:12:03Speaker 3: I'm like, I'm like.
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: Geez dude.
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: I was like, hopefully this thing keeps like blowing up,
- 1:12:10Speaker 4: and then like you would be on the ground floor
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: of two yeah, monumental podcasts, but like in two completely
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: different realms of like.
- 1:12:20Speaker 1: I guess you could say content, which if you want
- 1:12:22Speaker 1: to start a podcast started, He's open for business.
- 1:12:28Speaker 2: Just d M.
- 1:12:28Speaker 6: Bloss regardless with that, with that, he likes to talk,
- 1:12:31Speaker 6: he likes to comments.
- 1:12:33Speaker 2: But where's bloss I.
- 1:12:35Speaker 3: More than surpassed my word count from being four years.
- 1:12:38Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 1:12:41Speaker 5: Yeah, do y'all have anything more?
- 1:12:45Speaker 4: How long we've been going? Money might be the longest
- 1:12:49Speaker 4: podcast we've had.
- 1:12:50Speaker 6: Yeah, final question or if anyone else, I'm just curious,
- 1:12:54Speaker 6: is there is there any plans for Blosser And is
- 1:12:56Speaker 6: in the future outside I know you're you're currently building
- 1:12:58Speaker 6: your house. I won't disclosed where that is, but what's
- 1:13:02Speaker 6: what's in the future for b loss and what are
- 1:13:05Speaker 6: you excited for? Yeah?
- 1:13:06Speaker 3: So I think the things that I'm I'm most excited
- 1:13:10Speaker 3: for is is to really just kind of create an
- 1:13:15Speaker 3: environment where you know, and that's with you know, the
- 1:13:18Speaker 3: podcast that we're starting right now, Like I just want
- 1:13:21Speaker 3: to create an environment in an event where I can
- 1:13:24Speaker 3: just invite my favorite people and bring them all together,
- 1:13:27Speaker 3: even if it's just one day out of the year,
- 1:13:30Speaker 3: Like to be able to create something that people are
- 1:13:33Speaker 3: excited to come to, but also just like a reunion
- 1:13:36Speaker 3: of again, just my favorite people in the world, whether
- 1:13:39Speaker 3: it's family, friends, or people that I've crossed paths with.
- 1:13:42Speaker 3: Man just to create an event that people are excited
- 1:13:45Speaker 3: for and just come hang out for a day.
- 1:13:49Speaker 4: I remember is at your wedding and we went to
- 1:13:54Speaker 4: like that after bar or after party bar, like we
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: were sitting down talking and stuff, like just catching up,
- 1:14:00Speaker 4: and then I remember you were talking to Brook for
- 1:14:01Speaker 4: a little bit and like that was I think that
- 1:14:04Speaker 4: may have been like your first time ever meeting Brookes,
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: and like you were talking about like how much it
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: means to like be with the people that you care
- 1:14:10Speaker 4: about and stuff, and that it was like really cool.
- 1:14:12Speaker 4: It's like you just met Brooke and you were like
- 1:14:15Speaker 4: like because she was like with me, it's like, oh,
- 1:14:17Speaker 4: she's family, and it was it was like really cool
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: because like that's just the kind of guy you are,
- 1:14:22Speaker 4: just like somebody who's connected to somebody that you know,
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: it's like they're in and it was really dope for
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: like your wedding, to bring all the right together.
- 1:14:32Speaker 5: Yeah, that that was fun. Man. And on the note
- 1:14:35Speaker 5: of bringing people together, hopefully we get another snowstorm because
- 1:14:40Speaker 5: also one of my favorite memories of bloss bloss mea
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: t do Casey. We met up at the Capitol Hill
- 1:14:47Speaker 5: the last snowstorm and we just started ripping hills and
- 1:14:50Speaker 5: it was one of the most fun snow days of
- 1:14:52Speaker 5: all time. And to watch Blossy step dad to me
- 1:14:56Speaker 5: and Tito is awesome because those kids are incredible. They
- 1:14:59Speaker 5: have the best time and this guy he brings them
- 1:15:01Speaker 5: out to the skate park like I don't know, watching
- 1:15:04Speaker 5: it just on Instagram, and then also just getting to
- 1:15:06Speaker 5: share the one day of sledding like pure kid joy
- 1:15:10Speaker 5: for all of us now, like I was having just
- 1:15:12Speaker 5: as much fun as them. Yeah, it was. It was
- 1:15:14Speaker 5: so cool. So hopefully on the next snow day we
- 1:15:17Speaker 5: can all get out to Capitol.
- 1:15:19Speaker 3: They got to meet their other uncles, man Jp. Yeah,
- 1:15:23Speaker 3: JP brought him on push up Tuesdays.
- 1:15:26Speaker 5: I gotta see them again, man, it's been too long.
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: Yeah, they were pumped, but like secretly. They I mean,
- 1:15:31Speaker 3: they all know about you, guys. They know they got
- 1:15:33Speaker 3: they got uncles out here.
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: So yeah, it's.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: Gonna meet y'all.
- 1:15:37Speaker 5: That's so sweet, dude, Thanks for coming, Thanks for being
- 1:15:41Speaker 5: a mentor for all of us. You and Alex are
- 1:15:44Speaker 5: some people that I've learned the most from in my
- 1:15:46Speaker 5: career as a whole. So it's like we're I'm very
- 1:15:49Speaker 5: grateful for you and our friendship professionally and personally. And
- 1:15:53Speaker 5: this episode was awesome. I think everybody's gonna eat it up.
- 1:15:57Speaker 3: I appreciate it, guys. Thanks for having me. I love
- 1:15:59Speaker 3: you guys. Man, seriously, what you mean.
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: We'll have to have you back on I.
- 1:16:03Speaker 6: Think we found boss.
- 1:16:04Speaker 4: We found that actually is the title Found
