- 0:10Speaker 1: But you know it is Friday. You hear the drums,
- 0:12Speaker 1: you hear the bass, you hear the horns. You know
- 0:14Speaker 1: what it's time for. Where it's gonna start them? Send
- 0:16Speaker 1: them show glad you could be here. My name is
- 0:18Speaker 1: Marcus Grant. He is Michael F. Florio. We're gonna talk
- 0:20Speaker 1: about starts. And since it's in the title of the show,
- 0:24Speaker 1: we have reached double digit weeks of the Fantasy season.
- 0:26Speaker 1: It's kind of amazing.
- 0:28Speaker 2: It's both amazing and like a blur all at the
- 0:31Speaker 2: same time.
- 0:31Speaker 1: It is. It is also still a reminder that we
- 0:33Speaker 1: still have like two more months left of this thing.
- 0:35Speaker 1: There's still like eight weeks left in this season, so
- 0:38Speaker 1: for as far as we have gone, we still almost
- 0:40Speaker 1: have that much far to go. But we are going
- 0:42Speaker 1: to get through a whole lot of things. We're gonna
- 0:44Speaker 1: do the top starts in six of week ten, we're
- 0:47Speaker 1: gonna tell you who's gonna pile up the points. Plus
- 0:49Speaker 1: we're gonna help you deal with all these mid season
- 0:51Speaker 1: injuries that I'm sure are driving you nuts because they
- 0:53Speaker 1: are driving us nuts. But first let's look at some starts.
- 0:56Speaker 1: And since you can, of course read all of Florio's starts,
- 0:59Speaker 1: and since at NFL slash start sit, see how that works.
- 1:02Speaker 1: Let's look at some quarterbacks for this week. Who's up
- 1:04Speaker 1: and who is down.
- 1:05Speaker 2: I'm starting Dak Prescott. Look, I know Jared Goff is
- 1:08Speaker 2: an indoor cat, but he's basically gonna have a home
- 1:10Speaker 2: game against the Chargers, so start him. I'm not sitting
- 1:13Speaker 2: the best rookie quarterback in quite some time in CJ.
- 1:16Speaker 1: Stroud.
- 1:17Speaker 2: Brock Purty is back off the by and back into
- 1:19Speaker 2: your lineup, and I'm willing to give Geno Smith one
- 1:22Speaker 2: more chance this week because of the matchup. My sits
- 1:25Speaker 2: Kyler Murray. I'm excited he is back, but I think
- 1:28Speaker 2: he's a sit. Sam Hall just because the Seahawks secondary
- 1:30Speaker 2: has been so strong as of late, and that is
- 1:33Speaker 2: a tough place to play, Deshaun Watson because Ravens and
- 1:36Speaker 2: Jordan Love because Will himself.
- 1:38Speaker 1: Yeah, there you go. That's that's pretty much all you
- 1:40Speaker 1: got to say about that one. Let's go back, though,
- 1:42Speaker 1: to the brock Purty because the Niners a little bit
- 1:46Speaker 1: on the struggle bus right now. They've lost three in
- 1:48Speaker 1: a row. Brock Purty has not played particularly well on paper.
- 1:52Speaker 1: The Jaguars force a lot of turnovers, which is sort
- 1:55Speaker 1: of worrisome, but I guess on the upside, it looks
- 1:57Speaker 1: like Deebo Samuel's back, which also helps.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Yeah, his number when Deebo plays compared to when he
- 2:02Speaker 2: doesn't are much better. Plus, I mean, he has topped
- 2:05Speaker 2: eighteen Fantasy points in four of his last six games.
- 2:07Speaker 2: I know there was two down ones there, but overall,
- 2:10Speaker 2: this is a quarterback I think you could trust on
- 2:12Speaker 2: an offense that you can one hundred percent trust. And
- 2:15Speaker 2: don't overlook the fact that he's been averaging like close
- 2:18Speaker 2: to forty rushing yards per game in his last three weeks.
- 2:20Speaker 2: That is huge. That was actually the most amongst quarterbacks
- 2:23Speaker 2: in that span. And then the jack struggle against the
- 2:26Speaker 2: pass a little bit, They're gonna put up points of
- 2:28Speaker 2: their own. I think this is a week where it
- 2:30Speaker 2: could be a little bit of a back and forth game,
- 2:32Speaker 2: and you want to start both of those quarterbacks.
- 2:33Speaker 1: It be a very interesting game to watch for sure.
- 2:36Speaker 1: Side note, all of Brock Perty's interceptions this season have
- 2:39Speaker 1: come with Deebo Samuel not available for the forty nine ers,
- 2:43Speaker 1: so we'll see if that changes things for Perty this week.
- 2:46Speaker 1: On the other side, we have been waiting all of
- 2:48Speaker 1: this time for Kyler Murray to come back and play.
- 2:50Speaker 1: He's excited about it. I know. Head coach Jonathan gannons like,
- 2:53Speaker 1: don't expect to see the previous Kyler Murray, at least
- 2:56Speaker 1: not yet. And Kyler's like, whatever, man, I'm doing it.
- 2:59Speaker 1: He's gonna Leroy Jenkins and just run out there. But
- 3:02Speaker 1: you're saying that we should at least wait one more
- 3:04Speaker 1: week before we start him. I think so.
- 3:06Speaker 2: I mean, you got by nine weeks without Kyler Murray already,
- 3:10Speaker 2: and there's a lot of good streaming options this week,
- 3:12Speaker 2: so what's one more week. The way I look at
- 3:14Speaker 2: it is, you said, Kyler Murray, if he plays well
- 3:16Speaker 2: on your bench, you have a starter the rest of
- 3:19Speaker 2: the way that you could plug into your lineup. But
- 3:22Speaker 2: last season and in his career, thirty percent of his
- 3:24Speaker 2: Fantasy points have come on the ground.
- 3:26Speaker 1: What he gives you with his legs.
- 3:28Speaker 2: I'm not so sure we're going to see Kyler Murray
- 3:30Speaker 2: running as much as he normally does first game back
- 3:32Speaker 2: off of the ACL. And don't forget that last year
- 3:36Speaker 2: he averaged the fewest Fantasy points per game since his
- 3:38Speaker 2: rookie year, had the lowest passyards per game in his career.
- 3:41Speaker 2: But again Gino Smith, there's Baker Mayfield, Will Levis, Brock Purdy,
- 3:48Speaker 2: Josh Jobbs. There's good streaming options this week, which means
- 3:50Speaker 2: I think you could be patient with Kyler.
- 3:52Speaker 1: So if you are stashing Kyler, you can stash him
- 3:55Speaker 1: for one more week. But something to note throughout his career,
- 3:58Speaker 1: he's always been a top seven fantasy quarterback in terms
- 4:01Speaker 1: of points per game. So maybe wait one more week,
- 4:03Speaker 1: but then maybe you take the leash off and you
- 4:06Speaker 1: let Kyler Murray go when he's back in your lineup.
- 4:08Speaker 1: Those are the guys throwing the football. Let's look at
- 4:10Speaker 1: some of the guys who will be catching the football.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Who are your starts and sits.
- 4:14Speaker 2: At wide receiver, Christian Kirku just dominates against his own coverage,
- 4:18Speaker 2: gets a lot of that against the Niners. DeAndre Hopkins
- 4:20Speaker 2: has looked like a new hut receiver With Will Levis there,
- 4:23Speaker 2: He's very much so in play. Michael Pittman Junior in
- 4:26Speaker 2: a great matchup, so much volume goes his way. Tyler
- 4:28Speaker 2: Lockett because the Seahawks matchup cannot get any better. This week,
- 4:32Speaker 2: Tank Dell very much so in play as well. My
- 4:35Speaker 2: sits Christian Watson because Jordan love Zay Flowers has a
- 4:39Speaker 2: very tough matchup against the Browns, and talk about tough matchups,
- 4:42Speaker 2: Jakobe Myers has the toughest matchup for a receiver against
- 4:45Speaker 2: the Jets, and then Johan Dotson or Johann Dotson just
- 4:48Speaker 2: because again the Seahawks secondary has been very good.
- 4:51Speaker 1: Seahawks secondary has been very good. But let's talk about
- 4:54Speaker 1: Tank Dell because he was the wide receiver one last week,
- 4:58Speaker 1: a recipient of the huge that CJ. Stroud had, and
- 5:02Speaker 1: no Nico Collins this week. On paper, it's not necessarily
- 5:06Speaker 1: an easy matchup against the Bengals, but volume seems to
- 5:09Speaker 1: be in play here as well.
- 5:11Speaker 2: And that's the thing, and I wrote about it in
- 5:12Speaker 2: the article, like when you have an offense this young
- 5:15Speaker 2: of rookie quarterback and now a rookie wide receiver one
- 5:17Speaker 2: with no Nico Collins, there there's gonna be volatility. Lou
- 5:20Speaker 2: On Aurramo is a great defense coordinator, makes life tough
- 5:23Speaker 2: on quarterbacks, but the Texans have completely abandoned the run.
- 5:26Speaker 2: I think they're gonna have to throw to keep up
- 5:28Speaker 2: with Joe Burrow and that Bengals offense, and Dell is
- 5:31Speaker 2: just going to get a lot of volume, as I
- 5:33Speaker 2: believe the top target for CJ. Stroud this week. He's
- 5:36Speaker 2: already top twenty Fantasy points three times. Again, I just
- 5:40Speaker 2: think the upside is far too high for a week
- 5:43Speaker 2: with all these buys and injuries and all that. Like
- 5:46Speaker 2: I'm starting Noah Brown in a couple of places, I'd
- 5:48Speaker 2: be ecstatic to have Tank Dell as an option.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Absolutely, if you got Tank Dallas is a week to
- 5:53Speaker 1: get him in there. Side note, I also really like, well, well,
- 5:56Speaker 1: we'll say, maybe we get to tight ends a little
- 5:57Speaker 1: bit later and I will hold on. That's called the tease.
- 6:01Speaker 1: That's called the teas, folks get on board with it.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Let's keep another wide receiver in focus here, and that
- 6:08Speaker 1: is Christian Kirk going against the forty nine ers. Normally
- 6:10Speaker 1: we look at the forty nine ers, We're like, I
- 6:12Speaker 1: don't want any part of that. But Christian Kirk seems
- 6:14Speaker 1: like a really viable option this week. Yeah.
- 6:16Speaker 2: And I mean the forty nine ers. As great as
- 6:19Speaker 2: their defense was the first few weeks of the season,
- 6:21Speaker 2: as of late, they have been struggling against the pass.
- 6:24Speaker 2: And I think that boats well for Christian Kirk, but
- 6:26Speaker 2: I got to it a little bit earlier. He thrives
- 6:29Speaker 2: against zone coverage. He is the Jaguars leader in every
- 6:33Speaker 2: passing stat receiving stet I mean against zone coverage. He
- 6:36Speaker 2: has over one hundred more yards than anyone else on
- 6:39Speaker 2: the team. The forty nine ers run zone coverage seventy
- 6:41Speaker 2: seven percent of the time. League average is seventy one.
- 6:44Speaker 2: So in a game where I think the Jacks could
- 6:47Speaker 2: struggle to establish the run, maybe they throw a little
- 6:49Speaker 2: bit more. Christian Kirk is the wide receiver to feel
- 6:52Speaker 2: good about this week, not Calvin Ridley.
- 6:54Speaker 1: He's gotten a lot of looks from Trevor Lawrence, and
- 6:56Speaker 1: he runs routes in that area of the field where
- 6:58Speaker 1: the forty nine ers have been vulnerable. If they can
- 7:01Speaker 1: get some good matchups, even against those good Niner linebackers,
- 7:04Speaker 1: I think Christian Kirk can have himself a really nice
- 7:06Speaker 1: day this week. We are just getting started here. We
- 7:10Speaker 1: have plenty more to do on this show. We will
- 7:12Speaker 1: talk about some running backs and tight ends, plus we
- 7:15Speaker 1: go behind the velvet ropes, get into Club dub stick
- 7:17Speaker 1: around for more. The STARTAM SITAM show starts at running
- 7:26Speaker 1: backs for week ten.
- 7:27Speaker 2: Go trusting the falcon and Bjon Robinson. What could go
- 7:30Speaker 2: wrong is not white very much. So in play against
- 7:34Speaker 2: the Titans, who struggled against the run Ramadre Stevenson, they're
- 7:38Speaker 2: throwing him the ball more and that is all that matters.
- 7:40Speaker 2: So he's a start James Cook just because of the matchup,
- 7:43Speaker 2: giving him one more chance. My sits the Gus Buss,
- 7:47Speaker 2: Gus Edwards is a sit both well, it doesn't look
- 7:49Speaker 2: like Damian Pierce is gonna play, but Devin Singletary is
- 7:52Speaker 2: a sit, as is Kareem Hunt for me. And then
- 7:55Speaker 2: that other spot was for the Panthers running backs. I
- 7:58Speaker 2: will that one worked out him worked out.
- 8:00Speaker 1: I mean, nobody was starting Cuba Hubbard or Miles Sanders anyway.
- 8:04Speaker 1: So I think you're in the clear there. All right,
- 8:07Speaker 1: let's let's just get this out of the way. We
- 8:08Speaker 1: gotta talk about Jon Robinson because here's the thing. Jeon
- 8:11Speaker 1: Robinson is good at football. We all know he's good
- 8:14Speaker 1: at football. I think even Arland Smith knows that he's
- 8:16Speaker 1: good at football. But because Arthur Smith is playing like
- 8:19Speaker 1: seven dimensional chess, you have to play Bajon Robinson. But
- 8:22Speaker 1: that doesn't mean that we can't start Bjon Robinson.
- 8:25Speaker 2: My favorite thing in the week was Arthur Smith came
- 8:27Speaker 2: out and was like, Tyler Elzier is one of the
- 8:29Speaker 2: best goal on running backs in the league, and the
- 8:32Speaker 2: fantasy community was like, yeah, look at all these stats
- 8:35Speaker 2: that show that Robinson is better on the goal line
- 8:37Speaker 2: and better in short yard situations. You can never trust
- 8:40Speaker 2: Arthur Smith to do the right thing, But I don't
- 8:43Speaker 2: think that matters this week, even unlimited touches, I think
- 8:46Speaker 2: Bejeon Robinson should be able to have a very good game.
- 8:49Speaker 2: The Cardinals are in the top three and Fantasy Points
- 8:51Speaker 2: allowed two running backs this season. Since Week five, they've
- 8:55Speaker 2: allowed the second most rushing yards to the position. Beijon
- 8:58Speaker 2: gets involved a bit in the passing game as well.
- 9:01Speaker 2: My bold prediction this week is Bijeon has his first
- 9:04Speaker 2: career game with one hundred yards and a touchdown. That
- 9:07Speaker 2: should have happened in like week three, not Week ten.
- 9:09Speaker 2: But I'll take it.
- 9:10Speaker 1: When I can get it. I mean, this week we
- 9:12Speaker 1: had Arthur Smith saying that Bijeon has value, you know,
- 9:16Speaker 1: because he opens up space when he is away from
- 9:17Speaker 1: the ball, or you could give him the ball and
- 9:20Speaker 1: let him be really good at what he does, which
- 9:22Speaker 1: is run and catch and score touchdowns. But you know
- 9:25Speaker 1: what do I know? I just talk about fake football
- 9:26Speaker 1: for a living.
- 9:27Speaker 2: I love Arthur Smith's drafting Bijon Robinson and using him
- 9:30Speaker 2: like a three and D NBA player.
- 9:31Speaker 1: Right exactly. Geez, sorry, just throw me completely off my game.
- 9:37Speaker 1: Gus Edwards against the Browns. I mean, Gus has been great,
- 9:41Speaker 1: scoring touchdowns. He's actually been a really top level PPR
- 9:44Speaker 1: running back for the last couple of weeks.
- 9:45Speaker 3: But dot Browns, Yeah, that's the whole thing for me
- 9:50Speaker 3: is and as good as Gus Edwards has been lately,
- 9:54Speaker 3: a lot of it has come because of the touchdowns
- 9:56Speaker 3: that he has scored.
- 9:56Speaker 2: He has five touchdowns in his last two games combined,
- 10:00Speaker 2: and the Browns on the year have allowed two rushing
- 10:03Speaker 2: touchdowns to running backs, just three total to the position.
- 10:06Speaker 2: And the thing is in games without a touchdown this year,
- 10:09Speaker 2: Gus Edwards has yet to top seven Fantasy points. But
- 10:13Speaker 2: I will say you have to monitor Keat and Mitchell
- 10:15Speaker 2: here because a big part of why I had the
- 10:17Speaker 2: Gus Buss park this week was because I was like,
- 10:19Speaker 2: it's three running back committee against a team that really
- 10:21Speaker 2: struggles that really stops the run. But if Mitchell is out,
- 10:25Speaker 2: I think that puts Gus a.
- 10:26Speaker 1: Little bit more in play. Yeah, I mean, I think
- 10:28Speaker 1: Gus has that touchdown upside. But understand that the number
- 10:31Speaker 1: of touches is not going to be big because you
- 10:33Speaker 1: do have three guys sharing them and the Browns very
- 10:36Speaker 1: stingy against running backs. Let's get to the tight ends
- 10:40Speaker 1: because everybody needs help at tight end, especially this week
- 10:43Speaker 1: with Travis Kelsey off. Everybody needs help it tight end.
- 10:45Speaker 1: So whe are your starts and sets?
- 10:47Speaker 2: Dalton kin kid, I'm just riding the hot hand there.
- 10:50Speaker 2: Speaking of riding the hot hand, there's no hotter hand
- 10:52Speaker 2: right now than Taysom Hill. The only tight end with
- 10:54Speaker 2: more Fantasy points than last month is Travis Kelce. Dalton
- 10:57Speaker 2: Schultz is in play, and I think Kate Outen a
- 11:00Speaker 2: good streaming option this week. My sits. It pains me
- 11:03Speaker 2: to say, but Kyle Pitts because Arthur Smith, you just
- 11:07Speaker 2: gotta start John Hi Smith if you're starting anyone there.
- 11:09Speaker 2: David Njoku, Michael Mayer, and Juwan Johnson are my tight ends,
- 11:14Speaker 2: all right.
- 11:15Speaker 1: So we got the whole overview there, Let's dive into
- 11:18Speaker 1: some guys individually. Dalton Schultz, I'm look week to week
- 11:23Speaker 1: the numbers can be up and down a little bit
- 11:25Speaker 1: over the course of the season. He's turning out to
- 11:27Speaker 1: be a tight end one, and with no Nico Collins,
- 11:30Speaker 1: it feels like a lot more targets could come his way.
- 11:32Speaker 2: Yeah, speaking of tight end one, he was the tight
- 11:35Speaker 2: end one last week, scoring twenty seven Fantasy points. He
- 11:38Speaker 2: ran a team high thirty four routes, had eleven targets,
- 11:41Speaker 2: ten catches, and one hundred and thirty yards. He is
- 11:44Speaker 2: a touchdown in four of his last five games, and
- 11:47Speaker 2: in all four of those games he has top thirteen
- 11:49Speaker 2: fantasy points three times has gone over sixteen. The floor
- 11:54Speaker 2: is low, but here's the thing about every tight end
- 11:56Speaker 2: not named Travis Kelce. They bring a low floor, but
- 11:59Speaker 2: the is very high. With Dalton Schultz, he's getting more involved.
- 12:02Speaker 2: It's a good matchup as the Bengals have allowed the
- 12:05Speaker 2: second most fantasy points per game to tight ends. Plus,
- 12:07Speaker 2: like Marcus said, probably more volume with no Nico Collins.
- 12:11Speaker 1: So Dalton Schultz is on the up and we get
- 12:15Speaker 1: the rare and elusive double Dalton in this When we
- 12:18Speaker 1: go from Dalton Schultz to Dalton Kinkaid, who at this
- 12:20Speaker 1: point is feeling like a weekly must start.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Yeah, at some point, probably next week, it's going to
- 12:24Speaker 2: become too obvious to include Dalton Kincaid as a start,
- 12:28Speaker 2: because you're gonna be like, yeah, I know, what else
- 12:30Speaker 2: did I do with this guy? But he led the
- 12:32Speaker 2: Bills last week in routes, targets, and catches, was second
- 12:35Speaker 2: in yards. I know he had a costly fumble, but
- 12:38Speaker 2: he is still getting used a whole lot in the
- 12:40Speaker 2: red zone. And since the nineteen seventy merger that is
- 12:44Speaker 2: fifty three years ago, he has more catches in three
- 12:47Speaker 2: games a three game span by any tight end than
- 12:49Speaker 2: any other tight end ever. And it's just the second
- 12:51Speaker 2: tight end with at least five catches and at least
- 12:53Speaker 2: fifty yards in three straight games. So he's riding very hot.
- 12:57Speaker 2: He has a good matchup against the Broncos have allowed
- 13:00Speaker 2: most fantasy points that tight ends.
- 13:01Speaker 1: Yeah, he is a mustard, right yea, Dalton and Kaid
- 13:04Speaker 1: finally coming around and becoming the guy we thought he
- 13:07Speaker 1: could be when the Bills drafted him. Also, just a
- 13:10Speaker 1: reminder that if guys don't pop in the first month
- 13:12Speaker 1: of the season. It does not mean they are busts,
- 13:15Speaker 1: just you know, like like like as Ventura once said,
- 13:17Speaker 1: if I'm not back in five minutes, just wait longer.
- 13:20Speaker 1: That's all We gotta go with that, all right. You know,
- 13:22Speaker 1: we do have another game in Germany this week. Sunday
- 13:26Speaker 1: Morning Football is back for an encore in Frankfurt, Germany,
- 13:29Speaker 1: exclusively on NFL Network. Watch with the world is the
- 13:33Speaker 1: Colts face off against the Patriots. Rise, Shine, and watch
- 13:36Speaker 1: on Sunday, November twelfth at nine thirty a m. Eastern
- 13:39Speaker 1: only on NFL Network and streaming on NFL Plus. It's
- 13:43Speaker 1: time now for clib These the guys we guarantee will
- 13:47Speaker 1: score at least twenty five Fantasy points this week. So,
- 13:50Speaker 1: speaking of that game in Germany, you like one of
- 13:53Speaker 1: those guys this week?
- 13:54Speaker 2: Michael Pittman Junior are as I would call him, must
- 13:58Speaker 2: start Pittman Junior this week. Look, the volume is simply
- 14:01Speaker 2: too good to get away from. He has double digit
- 14:05Speaker 2: targets in five games already this season, and he's scored
- 14:09Speaker 2: double digit Fantasy points in all but one game, including
- 14:12Speaker 2: at least fourteen in four straight And you might fear,
- 14:15Speaker 2: you know, the narrative that Bill Belichick takes away the
- 14:17Speaker 2: opposing team's best weapon. Unless Bill is lining up opposite
- 14:21Speaker 2: of Michael Pittman Jr.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I don't know if he's gonna be able.
- 14:23Speaker 2: To stop him this week, as the Patriots have allowed
- 14:25Speaker 2: the fifth most yards and second most touchdowns two receivers
- 14:28Speaker 2: since Week five.
- 14:29Speaker 1: I would play money to see Bill Belichick lineup OPO,
- 14:31Speaker 1: said Michael Pittman Junior. I just would like to see it,
- 14:35Speaker 1: that's all. I'm gonna go with Tony Pollard going against
- 14:38Speaker 1: the New York Football Giants this week. And I know
- 14:40Speaker 1: it's been an up and down ride, mostly down for
- 14:43Speaker 1: a lot of Tony Pollard managers this season. But he's
- 14:46Speaker 1: got the Giants and his best game of the season
- 14:48Speaker 1: came against the Giants. That was back in Week one.
- 14:52Speaker 1: I think he's gonna have another big week this week.
- 14:54Speaker 1: The Giants have given up thirteen rushing touchdowns, at his
- 14:57Speaker 1: third most in the NFL. Think this is going to
- 15:00Speaker 1: be another one sided contest, so you'll see Pollard get
- 15:03Speaker 1: plenty of touches and I truly believe this is the
- 15:06Speaker 1: week that his touchdown drought ends. So if you've been
- 15:10Speaker 1: rocking with Tony Pollard, cheer up. I think the next
- 15:12Speaker 1: couple of weeks things get better for him. This week
- 15:14Speaker 1: it's the Giants, next week it's the Panthers. So everybody
- 15:17Speaker 1: who's been frustrated, I think can get at least a
- 15:19Speaker 1: little bit of relief for the next couple of weeks.
- 15:23Speaker 1: Stick around, because we are going to help you replace
- 15:26Speaker 1: some injured players that you might be struggling with on
- 15:28Speaker 1: your respective squads. We will dive into the medical tint
- 15:31Speaker 1: coming up on the Stardom Sodum Show, joined as we
- 15:39Speaker 1: always are about this time by Lakwan Jones, who's wearing
- 15:43Speaker 1: a normal shirt today. What happened? We're going laundry or something. Yeah,
- 15:46Speaker 1: it's laundry week. Don't buy it loud shirts only, nah,
- 15:50Speaker 1: So like he does actually have non loud shirts in
- 15:53Speaker 1: the wardrobe. That's good to know. We are doing a
- 15:56Speaker 1: little thing we're calling the medical Tint's what it says
- 15:58Speaker 1: here on the screen. Because you probably, like everybody in
- 16:01Speaker 1: your league, is dealing with injuries across your fantasy rosters.
- 16:05Speaker 1: So we're going to talk about some guys that you
- 16:06Speaker 1: may have to sit because of injury and some potential
- 16:09Speaker 1: options to replace them. So Florida. Let's start in Houston.
- 16:13Speaker 1: We talked about Tank Dell, we talked about Dalton Schultz,
- 16:16Speaker 1: and the reason we like those guys this week, at
- 16:19Speaker 1: least partially, is because Nico Collins is gone.
- 16:22Speaker 2: Yeah, unfortunately I need to pull Nico Collins from a
- 16:24Speaker 2: few of my lineups, as I'm sure many of you
- 16:26Speaker 2: out there do so. Rashid Shaheed is a name that
- 16:29Speaker 2: you could grab off the waiver wire to replace Collins
- 16:31Speaker 2: or any of your players on buy this week, Shade
- 16:34Speaker 2: dominates the deep ball usage in New Orleans and the
- 16:38Speaker 2: vikings have allowed They're in the top seven and deep
- 16:41Speaker 2: yards allowed to receive yours top five and just regular
- 16:44Speaker 2: yards allowed to the position. And Shaheed is like, look,
- 16:47Speaker 2: he could get you three Fantasy points or he could
- 16:48Speaker 2: literally match Tyreek Hill's production for a week. Like that's
- 16:51Speaker 2: just the kind of player he is.
- 16:53Speaker 1: I mean, Lakwan, he's sort of the he's one of
- 16:55Speaker 1: those better and best ball kind of guys. Yeah. But
- 16:57Speaker 1: weirdly where Derek Karr kan't even connect with Chris o'lave.
- 17:01Speaker 4: On the balls, I mean, he's getting it done, and
- 17:05Speaker 4: these guys the big playability. You would think Chris o'lavo
- 17:07Speaker 4: would be the plug and play guy there, but things
- 17:09Speaker 4: are just happening with Rashid Shaheed, so it's like you
- 17:13Speaker 4: got to go with the guy that's going to be
- 17:14Speaker 4: making the big plays. And like Florio said, he could
- 17:16Speaker 4: have a Tyreek Hill like week, I nothing.
- 17:20Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean it's I think when it first started happening,
- 17:24Speaker 1: you're like, oh, hey, that was kind of nice, but
- 17:25Speaker 1: he's still sort of boom er bust, and now it
- 17:27Speaker 1: keeps happening, you're sort of like, all right, well, maybe
- 17:29Speaker 1: this is a thing.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Maybe it's a perfect marriage of because you got Derek Carr,
- 17:32Speaker 4: who's great at the deep ball. So again you would
- 17:35Speaker 4: think it would be Chris Olive to get those touchdowns increased,
- 17:37Speaker 4: but looks like the perfect marriages with Rashid.
- 17:39Speaker 1: So never would have thought that was gonna have it.
- 17:42Speaker 1: But but here we are with ten. Just when we
- 17:45Speaker 1: thought everything was right with the Bengals offense and guys
- 17:48Speaker 1: are starting to get healthy, te Higgins shows up with
- 17:50Speaker 1: a hamstring injury. He has been ruled out for this week.
- 17:53Speaker 1: So what should folks be doing?
- 17:55Speaker 4: I mean, I would like to pivot to somebody that's
- 17:57Speaker 4: on the same offense. You can go with IRV Smith.
- 17:59Speaker 4: I mean it is a big body target where you
- 18:01Speaker 4: can target him downfield, makes the athletic catches. I mean
- 18:05Speaker 4: he's a guy that has a huge red zone president
- 18:07Speaker 4: as well. I mean he found the end zone last week.
- 18:09Speaker 4: I've always been a swerve and irving type of guy,
- 18:11Speaker 4: so I was happy he was able to get in
- 18:13Speaker 4: the end zone again. But he his target share should increase,
- 18:16Speaker 4: which more Chase anti Higgins both banged right now. One
- 18:19Speaker 4: can only assume that. But it's nasty work out there
- 18:22Speaker 4: on the wire, so you kind of don't have that
- 18:24Speaker 4: many options. So why not pick up a guy that's
- 18:26Speaker 4: on an offense that's proven that can go downfield and
- 18:29Speaker 4: put some points on the board.
- 18:29Speaker 1: I mean, you know how I feel about this, Florio.
- 18:31Speaker 1: Can we finally hashtag let IRV Swerve?
- 18:34Speaker 2: When Lacwan said it, I was like, oh, We've been
- 18:36Speaker 2: waiting for years so long. I believe in the talent
- 18:41Speaker 2: that is IRV Smith. But yeah, I agree with Laqwan's points.
- 18:45Speaker 2: You get a player on an offense that we know
- 18:47Speaker 2: could score a lot of points. It's just like, come on,
- 18:49Speaker 2: if not now, then Whinner please please come.
- 18:51Speaker 1: Through for us. Well, well, you know, last week he
- 18:54Speaker 1: had a touchdown, actually he had a touch on the
- 18:56Speaker 1: Drew Sample also had a touchdown last week too, so
- 18:58Speaker 1: they're starting to integrate the tight ends a little bit more.
- 19:01Speaker 1: A very good matchup for tight ends this week for
- 19:03Speaker 1: the Bengals. So I do believe that you know, at
- 19:05Speaker 1: least if you're looking to stream the position, that this
- 19:07Speaker 1: is a good week to get him in there. And
- 19:09Speaker 1: also just wanted to say hashtag letters were That's how
- 19:12Speaker 1: I rolled it. Let's make that time over in Germany.
- 19:16Speaker 1: The cults are there. You mentioned you like Michael Pittman
- 19:19Speaker 1: as a start. Josh Downs, though, is dealing with a
- 19:22Speaker 1: knee injury is going to keep him out of action.
- 19:24Speaker 1: So this is a chance to pivot to another rookie
- 19:27Speaker 1: in Jackson Smith in Jigba who starting to get some
- 19:30Speaker 1: more love in the Seattle offense. And this is a
- 19:33Speaker 1: very good week I think for Seattle pass catchers. They've
- 19:36Speaker 1: got the Washington Commanders, and that Commander defense has been
- 19:40Speaker 1: very generous to opposing passing games. It certainly doesn't hurt
- 19:43Speaker 1: for Seattle that they don't have to deal with Montes
- 19:45Speaker 1: sweat and Chase Young getting after Gino Smith a little bit.
- 19:48Speaker 1: So I know, Florio, your bold prediction for NFL Fantasy
- 19:52Speaker 1: Live was that all three of their pass catchers have
- 19:54Speaker 1: at least fifteen Fantasy points. So plenty of upside there
- 19:58Speaker 1: this week. But the bigger picture, Lakwan, does this mean
- 20:02Speaker 1: we are back in the JSN business for the rest
- 20:05Speaker 1: of the season.
- 20:06Speaker 4: I know, I am. I mean things are starting to
- 20:08Speaker 4: click for him. I mean the last three games he
- 20:10Speaker 4: sold thirteen Fantasy points per game. That's something you want
- 20:12Speaker 4: to see from a rookie wide receiver to get the
- 20:15Speaker 4: production and be consistent in his offense. And I'm liking
- 20:18Speaker 4: Gino targeting him all over the field as well, because
- 20:20Speaker 4: he's one of those guys that could just take off
- 20:22Speaker 4: at any point and bring it to the house.
- 20:24Speaker 1: All right, So we are big on Jackson Smith in JIGMA.
- 20:27Speaker 1: So that's good news there. Let's go back around again
- 20:30Speaker 1: because Kirk Cousins, we know is out for the season
- 20:32Speaker 1: with the Achiles injury, which obviously it stinks for him,
- 20:35Speaker 1: it stinks for the Vikings, it stinks for fantasy. So
- 20:38Speaker 1: a lot of people probably trying to stream, trying to
- 20:40Speaker 1: plug and play. Who's a good option for this weekend?
- 20:43Speaker 1: Maybe beyond.
- 20:44Speaker 2: I like Baker Mayfield a whole lot this week, and
- 20:48Speaker 2: like MARKA said, maybe beyond, because Baker Mayfield this season
- 20:52Speaker 2: has had two games under sixteen Fantasy points. He's top
- 20:55Speaker 2: nineteen in each of his last two. As far as
- 20:58Speaker 2: streamers go, we're sixteen pretty much every week. Is as
- 21:01Speaker 2: safe of a floor as you could get. He has
- 21:04Speaker 2: shown there's some upside there, and the Titans are a
- 21:06Speaker 2: defense that we know can be beat by receivers, especially downfield,
- 21:10Speaker 2: and the Bucks have the receivers to do so, especially
- 21:12Speaker 2: they're that guy right there, Mike Evans. So I think
- 21:15Speaker 2: Baker Mayfield is a good play if you've been streaming Kirk,
- 21:18Speaker 2: if you have to stream to replace Kirk Cousins or
- 21:21Speaker 2: I mean, Patrick Mahomes, Tua Jalen Hurts are all sidelined
- 21:24Speaker 2: this week because of buys. So a lot of people
- 21:26Speaker 2: need quarterbacks. Baker Mayfield is a name for you.
- 21:28Speaker 1: There's so many streaming options this week. I mean, you've
- 21:30Speaker 1: got quarterbacks injured, You've got quarterbacks on by I mean,
- 21:35Speaker 1: how are we feeling about Bake Bake LQ? I mean,
- 21:37Speaker 1: or where where on the cycle of Baker Mayfield aren't
- 21:39Speaker 1: we like, well, was he gonna talk trash about it?
- 21:42Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know where we are the
- 21:43Speaker 1: cycle right now.
- 21:44Speaker 4: I just recently became a fan of Baker Mayfield, obviously
- 21:47Speaker 4: because he played for the Rams. He did some good
- 21:49Speaker 4: things and the hey, look, I was happy about that.
- 21:52Speaker 4: But man, as long as he has the weapons around
- 21:55Speaker 4: him healthy with Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, It's like I
- 21:58Speaker 4: kind of want to buy into Baker as a stream
- 22:00Speaker 4: guy that could plug and play, and like I just
- 22:02Speaker 4: lost Anne Jones. I picked up Baker in nice little
- 22:04Speaker 4: replacement in two quarterback leagues, but you have the weapons
- 22:08Speaker 4: around him. I think he's able to produce when he can,
- 22:10Speaker 4: especially with Mike Evans on that deep ball.
- 22:12Speaker 1: I see. I think that's the thing for me too,
- 22:13Speaker 1: is not only has he played well enough to be
- 22:15Speaker 1: in lineus, but he's elevated the guys around him too.
- 22:17Speaker 1: Mike Evans is a thing. We're talking about streaming Kate
- 22:20Speaker 1: otten in leagues this week because Baker's getting them to
- 22:23Speaker 1: the ball. More tight end issue since we're talking about
- 22:27Speaker 1: streaming some tight ends there. Dallas Goddard going to be
- 22:29Speaker 1: out for what looks like a month with a fractured arm.
- 22:34Speaker 1: I see the name here, and it's like, like I
- 22:37Speaker 1: can't be mad at it right, Like I want to
- 22:38Speaker 1: be mad at it, but at some point we just
- 22:40Speaker 1: got to accept that this is what is. Like, why not.
- 22:44Speaker 4: Pivot to another tight end who's a tight end one
- 22:46Speaker 4: for his team? And like John new Smith. I mean
- 22:49Speaker 4: it may be toxic right now, it is what it is,
- 22:51Speaker 4: but he's the second on the team room receptions and
- 22:53Speaker 4: receiving yards. He's top five in yards have to catch
- 22:56Speaker 4: among tight ends, Like as you see, he has the
- 22:58Speaker 4: big playability to take it to that house at any
- 23:01Speaker 4: point of the game. He's just clicking in this offense
- 23:03Speaker 4: right now. And surprisingly he's highly available to you on
- 23:06Speaker 4: the waiver wire, which I'm not quite sure why.
- 23:08Speaker 1: Now.
- 23:09Speaker 4: I've been starting this guy since week four and been
- 23:11Speaker 4: flexing him. So he has the big playability like we
- 23:14Speaker 4: saw last week, So why not target yourself from John
- 23:17Speaker 4: new Smith?
- 23:19Speaker 1: I mean we just accepted this right Florida, that the
- 23:21Speaker 1: John news Smith is the tight end one in Atlanta.
- 23:24Speaker 2: Yeah, and starting to send Hi an article this week,
- 23:26Speaker 2: I was like, what I want to happen? Doesn't score
- 23:27Speaker 2: fantasy points. So we got to John Smith and Taysom
- 23:30Speaker 2: Hill are the only tight ends in the NFL. They
- 23:32Speaker 2: get goal on carries.
- 23:33Speaker 1: Yes, make zero sense whatsoever. It's like Marlow Stanfield said
- 23:38Speaker 1: in the wire, you wanted to be one way, but
- 23:40Speaker 1: it's the other way he wanted to be Kyle Pitts,
- 23:43Speaker 1: it's John Newsmith. As we're wrapping it up, though, let's
- 23:45Speaker 1: talk some side ins because Darren Waller we know is
- 23:48Speaker 1: out with a hamstring injury. He is on injured reserve
- 23:50Speaker 1: and it's an easy pivot to Kate Oughton. We talked
- 23:53Speaker 1: about Baker Mayfield, talked about the Buccaneers offense, and Kate
- 23:56Speaker 1: otten is the guy who gets a lot of looks,
- 23:58Speaker 1: especially down near the goal line, and that's really what
- 24:00Speaker 1: we want from a streaming tight end. If you can
- 24:03Speaker 1: score a touchdown, did that makes you a viable tight
- 24:06Speaker 1: end one for the week. So Kate and the guy
- 24:09Speaker 1: you can get into some lineups. OK, see anything more
- 24:12Speaker 1: than a week to week streaming option. He's not really
- 24:14Speaker 1: a long term option.
- 24:15Speaker 4: Is I don't think he's a long term option. You
- 24:17Speaker 4: got guys that are banged up right now the tight
- 24:18Speaker 4: end position, so I like streaming him. Putting him in
- 24:21Speaker 4: you know positions where I have to, but I honestly
- 24:24Speaker 4: think he's like a relevant tight end to have on
- 24:26Speaker 4: your watch list or have stash, especially with these fantasy
- 24:29Speaker 4: playoffs coming up.
- 24:30Speaker 1: Yeah, I think that's maybe the big key there. The
- 24:32Speaker 1: fantasy playoffs are coming. If you're looking to stream tight ends,
- 24:34Speaker 1: maybe start looking ahead to playoff schedules and see who
- 24:37Speaker 1: has a good one ready so you can't have to
- 24:39Speaker 1: get ready. There it is right there. We have been
- 24:42Speaker 1: ready for this show. Hopefully you were ready to enjoy
- 24:44Speaker 1: it because it's over now, so appreciate you. Hang it
- 24:46Speaker 1: out list that's gonna do it for this edition of
- 24:48Speaker 1: the Startum Centum Show. For Michael left Florio, for the
- 24:50Speaker 1: Kwan Jones, I am Marcus Grant. Enjoy Week ten. Everybody.
- 24:53Speaker 1: We will talk to you again real soon. It
