- Liam: you just said that everybody's terrible. Jamie: I mean when you look at it, yeah. Listeners, close your eyes. Liam: Do do do do do Woo here we go, he's getting wild. Jamie: They can't let me down. Liam: I wish I'd have done that. Jamie: you appealed it. Like what what are you appealing, by the way? Liam: Ha ha. Jamie: Like Liam: What a weak, weak wild take that is. Badoo ba do ba do ba do bao ba do ba do do do do ba da da da da da What's up? The fourth and tea podcast. The best new UK NFO podcast going. How are you doing, Jamie? Jamie: number one for a reason, isn't it? So, yeah, we're doing well. We're primed for week six, ready for NFL week six action. And you'll actually go into a game as well, so. Liam: I'm hitting up the London game. You know, I'm gonna go there, gonna start talking to people, getting involved with all the different fans. I'm I'm actually repping the Jags this weekend, not to spoil the rest of the show, but I'm I'm going in on the Jags. They're like they're the London team. And I I felt bad for them last week with that home field advantage that the Eagles had. Jamie: Yeah, yeah, the London Jaguars. Liam: Mate, the lun you know what, I I wanna s I kinda want them to start just buying into even coming here, the players getting excited to be in London. Like I actually think I actually think that'll be such a vibe and I think I think that'll build it more in London. Jamie: Do know what I love is Cam Little being like, yeah, I hit the Bellingham and he's got like a man, obviously I don't spell man, but he's got like a man, you football top on. It's just, he's there just doing the press conference. was like, that's what I want to see that. You know what I Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Liam: Mate. As a fellow Starbridge boy, yeah yeah, you forgot Belling the Bellingham is the one. So yeah. So again, like I said, we're a new UK NFL podcast we're a new show till we're not, so we're gonna do the rundown of events. Each week we do the preview and reviews of each game. This is the preview show where we're going to do a quick preview. Then we're going to do our wild take of the week. Then we're going to go into players to avoid starting in fantasy. Then we do the fork segment where we pick another player for the pile and we chuck them on, fork them, and say they ain't making it to the playoffs. And then we do our survivor pick. for all of the survivor heads out there and we track mine and Jamie's progress against each other. So, Jamie, are you ready? Jamie: ready someone's just dropped off a package at my door but I am I'm ready Liam: first game on the slate. It's Thursday night football. It's a big one. And it is the Seattle Seahawks, my beautiful birds, at the Denver Broncos. And the Seahawks are three points favorites. So, off the bat. Broncos, they won last week. Low scoring, not that exciting game against the Chargers, not that high-octane. They got the job done against what is a very underwhelming, underperforming LA Chargers team. And in my book, the Seattle Seahawks are coming out of a game, which, yes, they lost to at the minute is the best team with the best record in the league. However, I think. You cut one or two mistakes and the Seahawks win that game. So we're going to Denver's. We're going to Denver's home ground. This is a fortress. So I think this is a real big test for both teams. Are the Seahawks a Super Bowl contender? Or is that Denver home field advantage really true? They've not lost there this season. So that to me is where I am excited to see. This game come alive. The Seattle Seahawks defense is on fire. The Broncos offense is not popping, but they do have a good defense, and the Seahawks have a stuttering offense. So I think this is a good, like the like you know, strengths against other teams' weaknesses. Who's gonna come through? Jamie, what are your thoughts? Jamie: It's that home field advantage, isn't it? Yeah. mean, at Seattle, it's only going to end one way. Here it's a toss up, isn't it? I mean, it depends. Didn't JSN get a knock as well against 49ers? Liam: JSN little bit injured. It doesn't look like he's gonna be out, but they're saying i an i ankle injury limited until sort of like he's been limited through training in the week. Jamie: Yeah, then I think Patrick Sartain's out as well for Denver potentially. Yeah. Liam: Pat Satane's out. Yeah, they've got a couple. The Hoofanger looks like he's injured, not gonna play. Riley Moss injured. So a lot of the a lot of key contributors to that Denver defense are injured. Jamie: Yeah. And to be honest, realistically, Chargers should have won that game as well. Just a few coaching decisions that made them lose it, obviously. I've not been convinced by Denver this season, so I'm going with Seattle Seahawks to win, or those like football. Liam: I am also Shakara going with my beautiful Seattle Seahawks. Locking it up. We're locked. And I'm picking them to beat the spread. One to watch, though. I do think JSN is a little bit hurt. So maybe fantasy. Maybe he's not going have top, top output. But Seahawks for the win. The Houston Texans at the Jacksonville Jaguars in our London town. Come on. the Jaguars are favoured in this game by 2.5 points. Wanna quickly start by saying, Jamie, I'm so excited. I am going to the game at Wembley. In the background behind me, I've got the Buccaneers soccer jersey. Just to show off like the London collab going on. Beautiful. London has been kicking off and it has been showing itself to be its best when it comes to being an NFL city and I have loved it. So I'm excited to go down to a game. I'm going to a Jag's tailgate. I'm gonna get there from eleven. Jamie: Nice. Liam: I'm just gonna get full stuck into NFL experience. I mean, quickly, like just what's the London the London NFL stuff is so good three weeks in a row. Jamie: It is like, really is good. Cause you do have that buzz. mean, we talked about the last pod, but there is that buzz that just, I don't know why. Just when I see someone else in like a, could be any team really see I'm maybe not Cleveland Browns, but like any other team I'm like, I'm like, that's, that is unreal. I love that. I love seeing it. and it is just, mean, even like, I mean, like the, helmet things in, in Trafalgar square and seeing people interact with them going around and we think like, It's actually really cool. It's like other people actually like the NFL in the UK. I seem to like, Liam: No mm Jamie: I seem to like forget, like you always get like a big buzz around the Superbowl and stuff. And then you sort of forget in the off season and then it gets to about October time. We get the 30, we get those games. You're like, yeah. Like people love the NFL in London and in the UK in general. So it's a, no, it is good. Liam: Yeah. Jamie: It is good. Liam: Yeah, awesome. So quick one on the game, back to the actual game. Tell us it, Jamie: Yeah, actual game, yeah. Liam: sorry. I'm gonna be posing videos and all sorts, so it's so excited for that. Anyway, I am gonna be picking the Jags for this one. I'm backing the Jags. I think Houston, they got off the mat, they got their first win of the season, and fair play to them. They beat the Tennessee Titans, though. It was convincing, but the Tennessee Titans, if they don't win a match this year, I'm not going to be gobsmacked. I'm really not going to be gobsmacked. So the Jag, the not the Jags, the Texans, they are. They're just doing what they should have done last week. I don't think that means that they're actually now a good team. They've obviously got a lot of injuries on offense. They've just traded for Marvin Harrison Jr. He looks like he ha the it's it's it's undefined anywhere if he's actually going to debut or not. But excited to see that when it happened. Like he him and CJ Stroud played in college together and they was they had a good little mind meld going on. He could be a really good wide receiver too for them. But going to the Jags, the favored team, who I think will beat this spread because the the Houston defense isn't what it was last year. But the Jags are this really good all-around team. They they got stuck in. It was their worst game last week against the Eagles. But I think no matter what you say about the Eagles, not their best year at the minute, but they are a they are a championship team with a Super Bowl winning quarterback, a potentially disruptor of a defense. And the Jags somehow did what they needed to do to get the job done. So Trevor Lawrence on pick I'm picking him and Parker Washington especially to just pick apart the secondary of the Texans. I think those two are gonna just be too much for this Texans defense. Jamie: Yeah, no, exactly that. are locked. also going to for the Jaguars, locks Liam: Locked. Jamie: in the hit. The only thing in my head is that is that defense because obviously they did the Jaguars did see the struggle just against Jalen Carter. So like the also realistically, what is Anderson going to do to him due to that Jags offense? But if they can stop him from disrupting it, I think Jags will have a should have an easy win. But CJ Stroud has improved and like, well, do you know what? He's actually, I'll take it back. He hasn't improved, but he's just, he has been consistent all season. Liam: CJ Stroud has is been good he's been Jamie: Yeah. Liam: quite good this season. I think that's the best way to describe it. He's been getting his his half of the offense defensive deal. CJ Stroud has been fulfilling what you hope for him. Like when they score like high twenty points, you expect this kind of defence to be really kind of bringing you home the win. Jamie: Exactly, yeah, and they probably are better. They're definitely better than that one and four record. yeah, I can only see the Jack who was winning this game anyway. Liam: Or we're locked and Parker Washington to take over. the Ravens, the fourth and T pod of the year at the Cleveland Browns, and the Ravens are favoured by four point five points. Jamie: Yeah, so the last two, well two of the last three weeks, I've not backed the fourth and T team and they've won both and I apologize Ravens. Maybe I'm going to jinx them. I'm going to back the fourth and T team. I'm backing the Baltimore Ravens in Cleveland. Even, you know, the defense for the Ravens does look somewhat vulnerable. But I don't see the Sean Watson picking off. Yes, he's got Boston and Concepcion and Judd Kitt. Liam: Conception. We'll get that name right. Is Conception injured? Jamie: Potentially, isn't he? Don't know if he's come back. Liam: I think he's I think he's not gonna clear concussion protocol. But yeah, sorry, carry on. Jamie: Yeah, that's the only problem. But then realistically, that's one less good weapon they've had all season, you know, and I don't think they're going to have enough. And is Lamar Jackson fit to play? I mean, it doesn't really matter. To be honest, it doesn't really matter if Snoop plays or Jackson plays. Liam: I it might not matter for this game, I don't know how much it's gonna he's gonna matter, but he is a game time call for this game. Jamie: Exactly. I think Brown's there, they're three winning streak. I think they're going to now lose back to back games and fall to three and three and the Ravens are going to take over that AFC North and go five and one. Liam: Yeah, I mean I just want to see Derrick Henry run downhill, smash up that Browns defensive front. I want to see Lamar or Tyler Huntley just, you know, picking them off, play a nice, consistent game, and the Ravens, I think, should win this one. And I think I'm gonna just pick them to cover. I mean, I said old birds teaching new birds, young birds tricks last week. but you know what? It's gonna be old birds picking off. Some brown things, whatever the browns are. So yeah, I'm locking up the Ravens with you as well, Jamie. Jamie: I've just had a look at the Browns injury list, right? They've got Mason Graham's questionable. Quintin, Judkins questionable and Carson's Schwessinger is questionable and conception as well. So they are three massive misses, I think for the Cleveland Browns as well. So they'll do well to, to win the game, but it's the boys. Liam: Yeah. I mean, and like we said, we we trust in Snoop. We trust in Snoop. So Jamie: Snoop. Liam: if it's not Lamar, I trust Snoop to get the job done. So yeah, Jamie. We're locked. Jamie: We're locked. Liam: So the Pittsburgh Steelers at the beautiful Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Best sunset in the world. Cat might I had. Jamie, you gotta go check that out. But yeah, the the Steelers are favoured by three points away in Tampa. So I called it last week. The Bucs are gonna get off the map. And a large part of that is to do with this defense. They can get to a quarterback. They've got a secondary that can shut down receivers. the Steelers though. A revived running game. Warren, I think you said, like looking like a little pinball, little you know, he's just like bashing it up. so the Steelers are looking like a quite a well rounded team, and they're they're three and two, they've got a winning record. I think the Steelers are gonna come in thinking that they're going to win this one. But I'm believing in this book's defense at the minute. I'm not gonna go into it. I just wanna hear any takes you've got. So we could just get into this one a little bit. Jamie: I'm going to go straight in for it. am back in Tampa Bay to win this. I don't want them to as a Panther realistically, but I just, the offense seems to have come alive. mean, you actually get in the running game involved now using Bucky Irving rather than reducing his snaps, actually getting him involved in games clearly helped against Dallas. And I just don't believe in this Steelers team. There's nothing in me that thinks I'm realistically like no offense to, to Jeremy. did say to pick him up, but you're going into Tampa with Jeremy Bernard, Bernard and, and realistic. Like, I think is that enough? DK Metcalf hasn't really looked that good. Pittman's out, Wilson's out the running game, you know, Jalen Warren's been really good, but I think the Bucks D-line probably contained him a lot more than, than previous game for the Steelers. So yeah, I'm back in Tampa Bay and I'm, you know what? I want to see a receiving touchdown from Egbuka. I don't want to see a rushing touchdown. I don't want to see a jet sweep. I want to see that boy catch balls. I don't want to see him, I don't want to see a little handoff and him sprinting around the side. Liam: Don't we might have to wait to see that until Baker's back. But that I'll take anything, just feed Igbucat, just feed Bucky Irving. I mean, yeah, I think that's the difference why I'm gonna also pick the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, fire the cannons. So basically, Aaron Rodgers needs that clean, clean pocket, no hurry up. I think Tampa can stop that. And I think they own their main thing they have to worry about is Warren. DK Metcalf, yeah. But you know, this cornerbacks, this secondary's just shut down. Not shut down, but like they've just stopped the Cowboys. They've just beaten the Cowboys. You've got to take a lot of confidence in beating out that kind of offense. So for me, Tampa defence to cause enough disruption that they get the win. At home. on to the next game. Jamie, it is your little cat boys, the Carolina Panthers, at the wounded Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles favoured by one point five points. Jamie: I think that if the Philadelphia Eagles can get Devonta Smith back, they get Saquon Barkley back, they're going to have more of a chance to beat this Panthers team. The Panthers team, obviously off the bye week two and two, we're getting healthy. We've got three players coming back. Coca is going to be fully fit and playing as well. Leggett's not back yet, but like we're getting healthy. We've got defensive tackles come back, Wharton. So, It seems inconceivable that I'm going to say that the Philadelphia is going to lose through on the trot, isn't it? and I really want to back the Panthers. So obviously they're my team, they're my boys. I love the Panthers. I could talk about the Panthers for ages, but I won't. I'm going... Liam: You don't have to pick yet. Let's think about Jamie, hold fire. Jamie: Okay. Liam: Do you think that Tet Macmillan is gonna have the same game that he had before the bye week? Jamie: the lion secondary is so bad. The Eagles aren't as bad, but now we've got, we've got Koca back as well. Liam: But mate, that Lions secondary, they didn't have branch, I think, against you guys, but I think he did play against Jamie: Yeah, he's been out, yeah. Liam: the Cardinals, didn't he? Yeah, that's true. But I mean Bryce, early MVP candidate. Jamie: MV9. He is the most pressured quarterback in the NFL. Part of his obviously boat last week, he was leading passing yards and passing touchdowns. was only two behind Mr. Irrelevant himself. It is tough. The stat I found amazing about the Eagles, they're the only team in the second half of games not to achieve more than 100 yards on offense in the second half of games. like they've only got like the max they've got is 99.2 yards in the second half of football. if the Panthers are winning at halftime, would say the Panthers will win the game easy. If the Panthers lead early doors in that crowd, you've lost back to back games, you've lost on the road in that circumstances, right? You basically you've given the game away in London against against Jaguars. If the Panthers lead early doors, that is going to be one awful stadium to be in for Philadelphia. Liam: Jamie, who you picking? Jamie: I'm picking the eagles. Liam: No no really You gotta pick the Rick you got mate, where have where what have you what are you doing? You're not backing the Panthers! Are you kidding me? Jamie: No, no, there's something about, do know why I'm scarred from the last game against the Eagles? We should have won that game. Bryce Young was making all these moves. I mean, there was a, there's a move from the end zone. He, finds Ligette on this, like this little tear drop past 50 yards. You think, that's the game in his hands and Ligette dropped it. And I'm just getting that he's not going to play hopefully Ligette. No offense to him, but like we've, we've not, no, I'm sticking with the Eagles. I'm Siri on a, I can't see. Liam: If I pick the Panthers, how are you gonna feel? Jamie: I want to pick the Panthers, but I also keep Liam: Pick him. Jamie: but it Go gets the favorites on the road. Do you know what? I'll put a fine. I'll pick the Panthers Put me down Liam: Jamie Jamie: put me down Panthers Liam: Jamie, I'm locked. Jamie: Good. It'll be a state. I'll tell you what, if the Panthers can somehow go to Philadelphia, win this game, I think it's going to be a, and let's say Barclay plays, Smith plays, it's a statement. It's a statement win for Carolina, if it happens. Liam: Jamie, I am with you all the way. This Panthers team is waiting for something signature. This is a wounded Eagles team. They've got they're missing so many players. They have got so many key injuries. And I actually think if someone like Save and Cotty Barclay is rushed back, I don't know if that helps. That being said, do you know what, Jamie though, but can they lose four on the bounce? Jamie: That's what I can they? Can a Nick Sirianni team? Like, I still think they could do something this season. Liam: ho ho I'm going with the Panthers as well. I'm going with the Panthers. You're going with the Panthers. Little Jamie: locked. We'll go pathos. Yep. Liam: argument, but not argument, little conundrum, but we're locked. Jamie: Yeah, Liam: Lock it up. the Bears, Chicago Bears, at the Atlanta Falcons. Enemy of our NFC South teams. And the Bears are favored by three. this is interesting. I the way that the Falcons have been playing, I thought that they would have been favoured. Coming off a whooping that the Bears just received and not looking like they could do much. But sorry. Jamie: Exactly, No, I was gonna say exactly, like I don't, I don't like, bear, like, I guess my nun guy is gonna be back for the bears, like I'm trying to think who, it willy. Liam: Caleb Williams though looks like he might be back. And I think that's the big difference. Jamie: I thought he had a season ending injury or was it just Liam: Yeah. Jamie: a little was it just a little hammy? Great, was grade two or three I think. Yeah, I'll let him off. Liam: Just a grade one. No, I think it got upgraded to a two vet. I think it upgraded to a grade two. But yeah. I mean, the Falcons were gonna win last week if it wasn't for against the Ravens of all teams, if they didn't have to like go to Tua Tungabai Loa. I feel so Jamie: Sorry, Tua. Liam: bad for Tua, but if it wasn't for Tua, probably maybe they they go on and win. So anyway, that's The Falcons have turned up with Penix. Like, Penix is like he's a catalyst for this team. and Green Bay, they really they hum after all of the things that's been going on between Ben Johnson and LaFleur, the two head coaches, the rivalry, the cheese heads versus the cheese grater heads, which is fantastic, by the way. That is great sports memorabilia, just having a piece of clothing. Target it at one other fan base. Like, what is that? That's so good. but yeah, I don't know. Montesweat was suspended. This Ben Johnson's team can unlock and just go, go, go, go, go. Atlanta. Can you stop Bijan? I mean, this Green Bay team hadn't had a running game all year until they've gone. And played the Bears and now Marshall Lloyd Marshawn Lloyd is one of the big best pickups of the week in fantasy. How are you stopping B. John? So that being said, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I don't know, it's my game. I'm a bit nervous to pick this one. I'm if if it's if it is Pennyx, I would go with the Falcons. Because he's a question mark, I'm gonna be back in the Bears. Jamie: Hmm. Okay, we're not locked. I'm back in the Falcons. I don't want to. I just, I don't see where the Bears go from here. Apart from lose again. You know when you see like the wheels fall off. If Caleb's back, Liam: If Caleb's back. If Caleb's back. Jamie: yeah, if Caleb's back, but then is he going to be scared to run? Is he going to be scared to run a little bit? I don't know. I think I'll answer at home. Be get based on the ball. Carl Pitts, at least now got us receiving touchdown. Drake London's getting involved like it like you say, if Penex is in, they win the game. If they start with two at Falcons lose by 30. Liam: It's a tough one because it's like who was starting this game? so I'm just gonna pretend that who are you picking? Jamie: Should we do two takes? Let's pretend Michael Pennex is starting. Liam, who are going to pick? Liam: Michael Penix, he's starting. I'm going with the Falcons. You know what? It's not even about Caleb for me. It's ba it's the it's the Falcons quarterback. So you know what, Jamie: Yeah. So let's say, right. Liam: Jamie, scrap it. Let's not even do al alternative universes. I'm just gonna go Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I'm gonna go with the Falcons. He only actually hurt his rib in the end, only, but Jamie: 14 minutes ago NFL.com Falcons quarterback Michael Penich Jr. expected to start week six versus Bears. Falcons. Liam: End of summary. Jamie, I we're locked in on the Falcons. Right. So on to the next. Jamie: That is some good break- What time in breaking news by the way? Liam: Mate, fourth and T, mate, we've got all the gossip, of course, of breaking the news. Jamie: Yeah, just a rib injury. Yeah, fine. Yeah, it'll play. Liam: Yep. Perfect. Falcons. We're locked. Okay. On to the next one. And it is the Titans at the Indianapolis Colts, Jamie. The Colts are favoured by seven points. Jamie: Yeah, yeah. I mean, you have to, you have to back the Colts in this one. There's no, I can't see a way the Titans win a game this season. And I mean, Cam Wold, feel, I do feel, obviously I feel sorry for any quarterback that you get put into a situation where one, you receive a call isn't particularly great. I think it's the exact same situation that Bryce young had, at the Panthers where like his own line wasn't good enough. Then they went out and invest in the O line in the off season, the Titans, clearly they haven't invested in the O line. They haven't tried to protect their style quarterback. And if they end up getting, but they'll probably end up getting the first round pick, in the next draft and realistic, like, well, the first pick in the first round. And you think like, well, like we can do get another call back. what the realistically you not are you? Cause I think Camel was good enough. But in this game, I don't even have to look at who's free. It's literally, can the Colts offense destroy the Tennessee defense? I think JT's probably going have a field day. I know the Colts are still missing, obviously, Pierce, but I don't see a way that they don't find a way to beat this Tennessee team at home. If Tennessee go there and win. You know, I've said like, it's this changing doors moment for the Colts, right? They're all in the last years of the contract, general manager, head coach. They're all getting sacked off this game. Liam: Agree. And I think the Colts have been a bit of a spicier team than I think some people want to say. You know, I I they've just been like they just they've been on the wrong side of a couple of results. Like they they had a really big game against the Chiefs of all teams this year who look good. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Like they nearly beat them. so that's getting them on the ropes. I mean, what have the colts the Colts kick has been on point, so even if they are he's like a top fantasy asset, even if they're not scoring touchdowns, they are Dangerous. I mean, look at what just happened to the Rams and the Rams kicker. The Colts invested in there. They've got a they've got a special teams unit that is pop in. So don't know. I mean, yeah, the Titans managed. I mean, maybe we're saying like the Houston defense has turned back up. They only managed 187 yards of offense. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Wow. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: That's rough. I mean, you can't blame this on Cam Ward. I like I can't I think Cam Ward can be the way he throws the ball is like it's like it just looks good. It's unique. that being said, I don't know. I don't know. Not much to say about this one. I think Daniel Jones needs to get better with a couple of his targets, especially. I mean, they didn't get Marvin Harrison Jr. I think this is the other rumored team. So yeah. Easy one for me, though. I am locking up. the Indianapolis Colts and I'm backing them to beat the spread of seven points. Right, Jamie, on to the next game, and it is the other evil NFC South team, the New Orleans Saints at the New York Giants. Let's go, big blue. And the Saints are favoured by one point. It's with me. But I want to cover that spread start off with. How do you feel about the spread in this game, Jamie? Are you? I would have thought in New York, with the results they've had, proving it with Jameis, I would have thought that the I would have thought that the odds would have I would have thought the Gi Giants would have been the favourites. Jamie: I I I was thinking the exact same thing. I I thought the Giants would be favourite. Three one and one team against a one and four team when you're saying the one and four team's favourites. That is a yeah. Against the big yeah. Liam: Yeah. Away from home. That seems fishy, doesn't it? I mean I mean like just injury wise, I mean meh I think I think Tyler shooks on the injury report with his hand as well. Jamie: Yeah, his hand's been strapped up the last couple of weeks. and it has it's it coincidentally they've then been looked quite poor on offense the last two weeks as well. But then they've come Liam: Yeah. Yeah. Jamie: against Vikings, but then like you know, they haven't looked gre I mean they started off looking like a heater, didn't they? Really like against the Lions against the Ravens. That win against the Ravens now looked really bizarre. Liam: But anyway, so in me in my head, the odds are a bit odd. So I'm already going to be picking the Giants to beat that spread regardless. So big blue, three, one and one, after the mess that was last week. Like they like, I mean, you can say the same about the commanders, but New York Giants should be four and one. Simply put. Jameis threw for over 300 yards. Isaiah Lightley is the man that they wanted in Baltimore. Jim Harbor Harbaugh brought along. Neighbours. What injury. He's on fire. Jameis is throwing in the ball. Only thing that stands in the way of the Giants for me is a spicy Saints defense. They're quite good. They get pressure on the quarterback. They get takeaways. They, I mean, look at that, that look at that knockout and scoop score last week. they get takeaways, they They've got an okay secondary. So don't know, but Jamie I I can't s I can't see past this beautiful big blue giant steam. Can you? Jamie: we'll I No, I think we're both against the spread aren't aren't we? we're we're locked, I'm going giants as well. Liam: Logged. Jamie: yeah, exactly. I think like James Winston's looked on fire. No interceptions last week as well. I think like obviously the three hundred yards I'm I'm I'm used to Jameis throwing big numbers, but zero interceptions, I'm like boy. I get what Liam: We can get on board with that, can't we, right? Jamie: I I do I think everyone loves Jameis Winston, like you have to, realistically. But yeah, I mean I I this I think they're clicking. Liam: Yeah, I mean it's the tightest it's the tightest spread of the week. I think the Giants are clicking as well. I'm interested to see Cam Scataboo return a bit more to the offense. Like he started to do a lot more in overtime last week. It's very weird, like Harbaugh seems to pull players that fumble. And yes, Cam Scataboo fumbled at the very end of the game last week. But the week before, Najee Harris fumbled and then disappeared. So I thought that going into last week, Scatterboo would have just then like taken a load on like a load of the percentage with Najee Harris maybe being a bit of the doghouse. It just isn't translating. For whatever reason, I think they're just really trusting Najee Harris to just know what's going on rather than teach Scataboo. I'm not sure, but Scatterboo actually I'm I was a little bit skep I love the hype, but I was a little bit skeptical of him being a A running back that could take te like truly take over. But I believe it now. And now they're not now they're not doing it. And I can't get my head around that. Jamie: I I can't do know why I I it just it just wear gloves. It j I don't know why, it's really annoyed me. It looks I know it looks old school, it looks cool, but it just wear put some gloves on. It's raining, it's horrible weather. Liam: I've thought about this before. Jamie: Go on. Liam: When it's raining and horrible, although it's an artificial pitch, so it's gonna undermine my own point. Cause I say Jamie: It could I guess slip room, yeah. Liam: if you mud on it, if it was a real pitch, that might be slippy then, but I don't know. Because you can wipe your hands easier, but I don't I don't know. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: But I don't there's something going on there with Cam Scataboo, because I feel like he should be more of a lead back than he is. However, I'm backing the Giants at home in the early window to beat the Saints that since week one haven't shown Enough, and the Giants have shown me enough to believe in them until they don't and keep JJ McCarthy off the pitch. Jamie: Please keep him off the pitch. I don't no one wants to see no one wants to see that. but no, totally agree. yeah, fully locked in. Liam: on to the last game of the early window, and it is the New York Jets at the New England Patriots up in Foxborough. And the Patriots are favoured by seven point five points. Jamie: I can I can get on bottled with the spread for that. I I mean last we the last two weeks, fair play Drake May. I mean, all the critics against him, everything like that, he's come back and he's finding these receivers that you don't have in your fantasy team basically. You don't no one's heard Liam: You didn't know Jamie: of Liam: these receivers before the season. Jamie: literally no one's no one's heard of Chisholm and then somehow he just pulls one of the best catches you're you're probably gonna see this season outside of Jamar Chase's highlight reels. But yeah, I mean you you can't look past the doing the Patriots in this game. They always love playing against the Jets. They normally bag two wins against them. Yeah, it's a different Jets team that they got that fight in them. Aaron Glenn's got into them, dangling that red challenge flag, you know. Yeah. It Liam: What's it go? Dangling it like a honey bun. That's it. Jamie: was so, so good. I love what a blow cut as well. And I there's been a lot of chat about him being on the hot sea in that this season, like whatever happens, but like think he's he's getting the culture into the Jets. I like what the Jets are doing on defense. Injuries on offense and obviously they haven't got they haven't got a quarterback that you know that they are gonna back for the next you know they don't have their franchise QB. I know Geno Smith's there, whatever, but he's just the stopping he's like a little bitty put in for now and you you're not gonna play with him realistically next season or season after. stop gap that's the word I looking for. You got so then they can win ugly I think this game could get ugly again. Just like what the Raiders had done to him. Liam: I've got you down as picking the Jets for this. Jamie's Jets. Jamie: I'm not picking I'm going Patriots by like easy. Yeah, I think they do, yeah. Liam: By the spread, like to beat the spread. Jamie: I think yeah, I I I just think they're on a heater now and I they they these are games they just have to win. I think they just they're gonna have to get the winner. Liam: Agree unfortunately, I'm gonna agree with you. Not unfortunately. We're fully locked we're fully locked for the early windows in Thursday night football, Jamie: Yeah, chase, yeah. Liam: by the way. I'm going with the Browns I the Brown I am all over the Jamie: I don't even play it. Liam: shop, man. I am never picking the Browns. I am going with the New England Patriots to win this game as well. Drake may on fire. Nothing better than that but Josh Allen, I don't think. I mean, honestly, I mean I mean I'm I'm picking an archetype out, maybe I'm stereotyping, but Drake May on Jamie: It might be Liam: fire, is there a wh what quarterbacks are actually better than on point Drake May at the minute? Jamie: kind of gonna say this. Have you watched Brock Purdy this season? Liam: Brook Petty Jamie: Right. He is so Liam: N okay, do you think Drake Man is best day is better or worse than Brock Purdy in his best day? Jamie: He's a mile better, but you know, but but Brock Purdy's putting up the numbers, he's so consistent. He barely gets turned over. Drake made at start of the season, first three games. I've seen the thing is I've seen the I've seen Liam: Go for it. Go for it. Go for it. Go for it. Jamie: I've seen the worst of Brock Purdy, right? Two interceptions against Panthers on Thursday night football. I've seen him awful, right? We still somehow lost that game. And it's bad. It's like it's horrific. Liam: But we've seen the worst of Drake May. Yeah. But this is not what I'm talking about. Drake May, when he's on a heater, I don't think that Purdy can reach. I don't think Purdy has the Jamie: That level. Liam: ceiling. I think I think Brock Purdy, that and that's my point. Jamie: No, I don't think he's got the same ceiling. Yeah. Liam: Drake May, if he can go on a heater where he's playing the best of his ability, Brock Purdy can't do that. He can just take over a game like a Josh Allen can. That's all I mean. Anyway, that being said, I like what Aaron Glenn's doing. Loving that. But Traven Henderson injured, not too worried. They've elevated someone off the practice squad to get his first start as the running back too. Jets have got the same injuries. Adnaye Mitchell, Brees Hall. yeah, not too worried. I think, yeah, makes May's found his confidence and he's with with some of these new receivers. So yeah. I think Pat's for the win. So to cover the Thursday night football and the early slates, we're completely aligned with wins for crazy, by the way, Jamie. We need to manufacture this conflict. You need to start backing the Panthers a bit more. sorry, you are because I convinced you. Cool. We're all aligned. Seahawks, Jags, Ravens, Bucks, Panthers, Falcons, Colts. New York Giants, New England Patriots. On to the late window, and we're starting with the Arizona Cardinals at the LA Rams coming off that defeat in prime time to the Buffalo Bills. However, the Rams bet 365 by the way. The Rams are favoured by 13.5 points. Which to me, again. That's a bit wild. That's a bit wild. Jamie: That is big. I mean, I guess they're just basing it off of what the Cardinals did last week and the Rams are gonna score a load of points. Liam: Gotta be. I w got I wouldn't take that spread. I wouldn't take thirteen point five po points to win. Jamie: Would you not I dunno. The Cardinals are one of the Liam: You think they're gonna beat them by more than by two touchdowns? Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I think they could, but I wouldn't put that bet on. That's my point, Jamie. Jamie: I won't put the bet on. Okay, we're locked on that as well. I think this is obviously Arizona were blow were blown out last game or forty four, twenty one. Rams heartbreaking loss, should have won the game. Again, Joe what you go for the Rams games, they should have beat Broncos away. A few of the really dodgy calls, but you know, everyone gets them. They should have won re recently, like Meavis, you know, all six hundred pounds of him just couldn't find it. forty eight yards away. So so he's gone. So, you know, could be I mean we We're both back in the rounds. Liam: To be honest, the Rams' offense look unstoppable when they're and they're getting clicking. Jamie: When they get a click in, yeah. Liam: I mean, the s the the shock of the season might be the Rams defence not being much. Like, don't get me wrong, Josh Allen, he it's gonna be hard to stop, but yeah, not lots to say from this one. I think Born as a fantasy pickup, who's now the wide receiver too, for Arizona, he's an interesting. he's an interesting one if you can get him. And I think Arizona, you need you need to try and do something. You've got you've drafted Jeremiah Love and we're not using him. It's not the most popular thing, but you need to just grow some confidence in these young players and you need to y you know, I think everyone's like, don't use them, save them. I think you just need to use the heck out of Jeremiah Love. he is your he was like your first round pick. Get him in on the passing downs and have him out there as a weapon. So not much to say from me except for Rams not looking great, but looking a hell of a lot better than the Cardinals. just wanted to throw that one in there. And I'm gonna I'm locking up and going with the LA Rams. the Chargers at the Kansas City Chiefs. And poor Chargers. They keep getting all of these like isolated windows, playing late against all these good teams, and they're just they're just being put up on a pedestal. So everyone can watch them beat them, which is kind of wild. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Chiefs are favoured in this game at home by 8.5 points. 8.5 points. Which again, interesting. I think that the the Rams one, I think, must just be based off how many points they scored against the Bills. and the Chargers, like we said, we took it, they took it a little bit to the Broncos last week. I'm gonna be going with the Chiefs in Arrowhead, and I'm gonna take them to cover the 8.5. Points spread. I mean, Jamie: Okay. Liam: th this game, the Chiefs are just rolling. They had the bye week. They've had a bit of time to recover. They've had a bit of time to work out what they're going to be doing with their wide receivers and how to deploy them. So I trust Andy Reid, the head coach of the Chiefs, to do like to do what he's done and innovate and develop good offense. And that's what he's always done. So I've gotten I've got no concerns in this game. I mean, Jamie, what what Jamie: The numbers. Yeah. Liam: are your thoughts? I've got no concerns with the Chiefs. Jamie: I've got no concerns for the Chiefs. I've got a concern for Justin Herbert. Imag that O-line at Arrowhead. How God, he had five sacks last week. Like, how many sacks is he gonna have this week? Could be double, could be double digits. Go, imagine Chris Jones running out of you. I would want it. I would not want it. Liam: I mean, yeah, I saw a funny video. Ocho Cinco, he was like, Justin Herbert needed to lock in this offseason, new coaches, like you know, Mike Mc Mike McDaniel coming in, new offense to learn. And then the guy was like, Yeah, but this is who he didn't come to off season to marry. And Ocho Cinco went, Yeah, fully understand that. No worries. Well done. So he's like that is, and he's a wild man. but yeah. Jamie: A yeah, yeah. Liam: But yeah, I mean Chargers, there's just so little to say. I think last week was the first time in fifty years that three offensive starting linemen for a team got their debut on the same game that wasn't the first game of the season. The Chargers are in offensive line, not even purgatory. They're in offensive line hell. Right? Jamie: Yeah. Liam: And I think w again, the Titans, are they gonna get a win? The Chargers. They're the other team in in in both divisions. It's just those two. I can't see them winning a game. Jamie: I that is a the Chargers got a win one, sure. They got the Dolphins, I think. Surely. Liam: No I mean Jamie: That's the only game like I can see them potentially like taking it to. But like do you know their O line Yeah, Dolphins are right in the mix Liam: Sorry, yeah, the dolphins as well, they're pretty bad. Jamie: for that. It's it's so bizarre the Chargers, 'cause like it it's not as the thing is, if it happens once, right, you've got this all these O line issues, it happens once, like, fair enough. Really bad luck. It's happened like three straight seasons now where they've had O line problems and it's Yes, you get obviously everyone gets injuries. Pamphers have lost literally the whole entire O line within the first four weeks of the season. Like we we just got our right tackle back, like 'cause you had blood clots in January. Do you know what I mean? Like or blood clots in July, and then we had another one who had he was out since the Rams game, the playoff game. So like everyone has injuries on the O line, but it's it it's what you it's what you have in that practice squad to bring them up. That's the whole point of it. So Liam: It's wild. It's wild. Jamie: like they yeah, they are dreadful. They they're receiver wise like is is Lad McConkey like what the hell Liam: Doubtful. Jamie: yeah. Liam: Trey Harris. Doubtful. Quinton Johnson. Quintone. Quintone Jamie: They didn't look right. Quinton? Liam: Johnson. doubtful and out. Joel out. Slater out. These are all like the top players on the team that you expect to be Jamie: Yeah. Liam: there. So I mean, I don't know. I mean everyone has to deal with injuries, Jamie: Well, I mean, yeah. Liam: but the the Chargers seem to always deal with their unfair share of big injuries. the Buffalo Bills who just snuck that cheeky win f as an away home game based on the people in the crowd down in Jamie: Yeah. Liam: LA against the Las Vegas Raiders. So the Bills are favoured by six points going down to Las Vegas. that'll be a nice little sun trap game. Bit and last last bit of sun for all those people up in Buffalo. what can we say about this one? They, you know, the Bills just won like a 53.5, whatever shootout it was with the Rams. They're gonna be coming off that thinking, We got shredded in the secondary, right? I mean, they got a couple of like I don't know, the Bills just got shredded to some degree, and Josh Allen, by the way, was so good. in that game. He was so good. I think one of the things that we've seen is though Josh Allen needs help. We're leaning on Josh Allen to do everything. If you had to lean on one player in the league, it probably would be Josh Allen. So good so good job you've got him. But if he didn't have Josh Allen, would they would they be winning would they be winning games? I don't know. What so you know, some of these wide receivers are stepping up a little bit, like Coleman, but DJ Moore, just injured. And I think they we need to sort that out. We need we need we need we need DJ Moore back, I think. Cook, good, but fumbles can't be we can't we've seen a lot of fumbles this week. Especially our overtime fumbles, crazy. Jamie: A lot. Yeah. Liam: So I don't know. But still loving the Bills, four and one. The Las Vegas Raiders, last two weeks they've started to slow down after their three and start. but I mean the defense is spicy. I I just can't see it. Like Max Crosby looking great considering he didn't go to the Ravens because of his knee. Kirk Cousins, that link, that link with Brock Bowers is there, which actually is great. got to see a bit of Mendoza. Just there's not much to say about this game for me. How can you look past the b the Buffalo Bills? Let I mean, can Brock Bowers and Kirk Cousins you know, Ashton Genty, Washington, who I actually think's He might be the best rookie running back at the minute, Washington, the backup running back for Vegas. But can can they cause an upset? I don't I don't think so. And I'm gonna take the Bills to beat the spread on this one. I think I think I think the Raid the Raiders look like a sp a fifty fifty team, a three and three team. So I think Bills to go five and one and to beat the spread by s of six points. Jamie: Yeah, we're locked. yeah, you you can't look past Josh Allen right now. The only thing that I just for the few it's just that defense just doesn't look good enough. It just re it just it doesn't help Josh Allen. What i I just feel like they don't get takeaways, they don't really make that much happen regularly. They have their odd moments here and there, but they don't make things happen when you need it. Or at least continuously. Like imagine having the Vikings defence or SEALs defense or even Texas defence with this Buffalo offense and they'd be unstoppable. But yeah. I I think the Raiders I think we're gonna see a lot more Mendoza and unfortunately, 'cause I love Kirko chains. but I think the more the season goes on, I think the Raiders are just gonna continuously keep losing now. and yeah, but Br again, I just want to see Kirk Cousins chuck the ball around. I love it. So if it do you know what, they took the cheaps all the way. They could take the bills all the way, but I'm backing the bills. Liam: In the Bills with you. on to Sunday night football. And it is the Dallas Cowboys at the Green Bay Packers, who are now with a winning record after bat bashing the Bears 3 2. And the Packers are favoured by 1.5 points. Jamie. Take us through it. Jamie: I didn't know the Packers had a defense. Right. Yeah, and and do you know what? They turned up on a heater at home against the Bears. That's a good game to turn up to, right? This game, two, you know, historic franchises going head to head under the prime time lights. Love it, right? And as my notes say, Dallas suffered an embarrassing loss to Tampa Bay in week fives, and they got to make a comeback, right? So Do you know what? I'm actually I actually have no idea which way I'm gonna let's try and convince myself. I think the Packers pass rush are probably gonna be too much for the Cowboys O-line. But then will he have enough it basically it depends if if that press got yeah Liam: C D C D lamb is questionable. Jamie: that's that is but picking's still decent, but not enough. Not enough for to to win this game and Jordan Love was doing well and I don't tr I don't like I just don't like the Cowboys secondary either. So they've I mean all the Dallas Cowboys defence have been inconsistent the whole season. If if Jaylan can can make plays in your own back garden, I think Jay Love is gonna have probably have a good time against Dallas too. So I am gonna back the Cheeseheads and I'm gonna back Green Bay to win on Sunday night football. Liam: Jamie! You going with Green Bay? Jamie: Yeah. Liam: Interesting. I don't know what to say about this one. It's interesting. The The Cowboys have this offence, but boy did the Green Bay offence turn up last week. I mean This is a this is a conundrum. This this feels like the hardest one to call of the week for me. By the way, there's also gonna be so many upsets because we've gone locked for every game, basically. CD Lamb is a big problem, but I'm gonna go based off last year and I'm just gonna say, look, George Pickens can take over a game and he is a wide receiver one. He is like Jamie: Yeah. Liam: I don't know if he's the new. I don't know if he's the new T. Higgins. Because I don't know, I don't know. But he is in that, he is in that upper echelon for me. I can't see Green Bay at home, cool place, but after last week, I can't see Dallas just sitting on their heels and not just going. Dak's got something to prove. Getting caught embarrassing the way he did, getting caught saying it's only the 0 4 bucks on camera. Like Dak has got like a no excuses. I need to show what I am right now, game. So I'm not locked Jamie. I am going with the Dallas Cowboys. Obviously, to upset the spread up in Green Bay. Jamie: Wow. Joe, I'm I'm happy that we're not locked. 'cause I think we're probably gonna be locked on Monday night football. So at least it's a nice little change. So I'm happy with that. Yeah. Liam: Yeah, we'll see we'll see who wins the game week, you know. So On to Monday night football, and it is the Washington Commanders at the damn fine wine 49ers Jamie: Mm-hmm. Liam: in San Francisco. and the 49ers are favourites by 7.5 points. Again, some strange spreads this week, but that you Jamie: Mm. Yeah. Liam: know what? Commanders have been maybe feistier. They've been feisty in every game, you know. I think Jaden Daniels, apart from his not spiking of the ball or not stopping the clock or whatever he did, we say we Jamie: Yeah. Liam: mentioned it, whatever that farce of an end of a game was, which ended in a Giants commander's draw, he looked great. Considering considering he dislocated his elbow and his back. From I think what I heard was he's got a slightly modified knee brace. It's that hard so it doesn't go back against the grain. He's got a slightly modified knee brace on his arm. just to make sure it doesn't lock out again. And also, if he can play that well with it, I think that man needs to play the rest of his career with that, with that arm brace, Jamie: Yeah, exactly. Yeah. Liam: because you don't want to risk dislocating it at least only three times in about a year's period. Jamie: not be funny, it's disgusting to watch as well, like no one wants to see it like Liam: You need to stop your arm from bending backwards, please. It's horrible. Like it's when you see some of these shocking things happen once you go, but then if it keeps happening, I'm like, retire. Just but change something. Jamie: Yeah, please. Yeah. But y you don't exact you don't want an RG three situation again for like a Washington team. Like please, like, do Liam: Next. Jamie: s this guy is so talented. When he's on fire, just don't stop it. Stop his elbow. Keep the field goal. Just keep the field goal. Take the points. Liam: Yeah. Exactly. I mean, I mean, something's to be said. Yeah, obviously the forty-niners beat the beautiful birds themselves, Seattle, last week. And that was an impressive win. Chippy win. And like Brock Purdy, Brock Purdy, they really got at him. Like, he's not going to feel the same pressure from this commander's defense. Debo Samuel, who has had a great year, he's gonna be out. by the way, when that man gets injured, it looks like he's been snipered. Jamie: Yeah, toss it. Yeah. Liam: I thought he'd got I thought I thought he'd had a head collis head collision, collapsed, gonna be out, retire, PTSD, all of the stuff. And then he literally looks past he looks knocked out on the floor, and then they go, hamstring. And I'm not sure. It's not Caleb Williams-esque, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: but I'm like, I don't know. He just looks dead every time he gets a a bit of an injury. It is wild. It is absolutely Jamie: Every time he gets hit, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Liam: wild. So yeah. anyway, so Debo's out. Mike Evans, by the way. Wow. Isn't he not even back? He never went away. Most underrated wide receiver of the last decade. Tell you that right now. He doesn't get some of the accolades, but that man can take over a game. Jamie: fans of the NSC South appreciate him because we get to see him like we got to see him so many times throughout the season. Obviously, annoyingly score god knows how many points against the Panthers. So like we appreciate him. And I also love him more just because what he'd done to Diggs. Although I didn't realise it was Diggs, but like checking the back of his shirt, checking everybody, you're that, you're him. Right. Liam: When he checked the back of that guy's shirt, I mean I've there's been like l I think I think my gosh, who Richard Sherman. Richard Jamie: Yeah, yeah. Liam: Sherman got on the mic and was like, I wish I'd have done that. Mate, back in the day, if he'd have done that to Crabtree, that would have been crazy. Jamie: Mason. Liam: But yeah, I that is my only worry for this 49ers team is like they are running low on wide receivers and Mike Evans, you know, he's gonna have a hamstring injury at some point. So that is it. I'm I'm picking the forty niners to win and I'm hoping that the coaching and the play calling just look good for the commanders and that Daniels has a nice game at quarterback. and if not, I mean if they get battered, is Dan Quinn on the hottest head coaching seat in the league? Jamie: I think he he he has to be, doesn't he? I mean the word I s I do feel s no, I don't feel sorry for him, but like he's gonna be remembered Liam: I'll never feel sorry for a millionaire. Jamie: Yeah, true, yeah. he's obviously gonna be remembered for twenty eight three and now he's gonna be remembered for just just play calling to not take a knee or not to kick a game winning field goal. the only other thing to mention for this game is Dre Greenlaws out because he decided to do a little cheeky head butt on the side. Liam: Cheeky headbutt, whoosh. Mate, that was outrageous, Jamie: And so Liam: by the way. Jamie: you appealed it. Like what what are you appealing, by the way? Liam: Ha ha. Jamie: Like what you went over to their sideline after a late hit on Darnold, then you decided to get up and headbutt someone else. 100%. Liam: Sorry, that should be a bigger ban. You headbutt somebody, and then they say, Okay, one game ban. Because I believe it's just one game, and then you go, Jamie: Yeah, one game, yeah. Liam: No, no, no, I did nothing wrong. That's what an appeal is. Jamie: Yeah, yeah. It's like it's like the hundred angles of you headbutting the bloke like this far away. I dunno. But yeah, he's out, but I don't think it'll make much difference and we're locked. And I'm going forty ners. Liam: I'm gonna come back, I'm gonna watch this, and I'm gonna like raise a little tiny little glass of red wine and say, fine wine, 6 0. Come on. Cheeky little red. So yeah. I mean, that's a big day if I'm having if I'm drinking red wine at at like 2 a.m. after starting at 11 a.m. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: at Wembley. But yeah, we'll see how the day goes. So yeah. Awesome. So that is the late game slate and Monday night football covered. Me and Jamie are basically completely locked. We're locking. LA Rams, the Kansas City Chiefs. We are locking the Bills to beat the Raiders. We are locking the 49ers to beat the Commanders. The only difference of all the games of this whole game week, this is the closest we've most most aligned we've been. I'm backing Dallas to go up to Green Bay and beat Jamie's cheeseheads. So awesome. That was our previews of the week. So on to the next section, and we're gonna go on to our wild takes of the week, which we'll review again on next Monday's recording. Jamie, what is your wild take of the week? Jamie: I need to improve on my takes from last week. So I'm going I was spot on. Liam: You're can I say, Jamie? Absolute cop out. What a weak, weak wild take that is. I'm gonna guarantee that this one inevitable thing will happen. Thanks for that. And you was right. Jamie: And I was right. So I'll be right again. I think obviously the Titans gonna go northern six this week. Yeah. Cam Wald is gonna get benched either during the next week, you know. but Mitch Tschabisky is gonna get some minutes. We're gonna see good old Mitch come back, you know. Yeah. Liam: Your wild take is Mitch Drabisky's gonna get some snaps. Jamie: Yeah, wild. He's gonna and we're not gonna see Cam Wald for many, many more weeks. I think he's he needs to be they're gonna just protect him. Don't risk your don't risk your franchise QB. The O line's not very good. He's gonna get lots of hits. Just let him just let Mitch Trubisky take all the brunt. Liam: Jamie, I'm gonna ask you for a wilder take. I'm gonna ask you. You're gonna I'm gonna ask you. So not your wild take's gonna evolve. We're gonna be Jamie: Okay. Yeah. Liam: this is the new thing. If we think each other's takes are too weak, we call each other out, and you've gotta stack a non favoured win onto that take. Jamie: Ooh, I can see. Okay, non favoured win. Liam: How'd you fe how do you fa how do you feel about that? I mean Yeah. I mean you Jamie: No, I love it. Love it. Liam: could go with the Commanders to beat the Niners. You could go with the Cardinals to beat the Rams against that 13 and a half point spread. Jamie: Do you know what I'm gonna do? all right, add on top. I think the Raiders are gonna win against the Bills. Liam: Woo here we go, he's getting wild. Okay. Jamie: I think, right, you know, they can, they could they dance they at home, won't be a home crowd, but they danced with the Chiefs, they could have beat them, right? Brock Bowers back, Maya. I love it. I love the combo. I loved Kirko chains. I wanna see him rocking that those chains again. I wanna see it. So I I My wild tape. Liam: What's the dance, Jamie? Hey, hey, hey, yes. Jamie: I wanna see it. I'm also my wild take, Bill's gonna lose against the Raiders. Liam: Wow. That's wild. We're wild, Jamie. Okay, so my wild take is being the mystic marshal that I am. Understanding the NFL as only a mystic can. I am going with The Tampa Bay Buccaneers to beat the Steelers by eight points and to get two takeaways. Jamie: Y I mean you called it last time, they got two takeaways. And they won by eight points. Liam: And they won by eight points. If it ain't broke, Jamie, don't fix it. You know? The Jamie: Wash Liam: They're gonna use Igbuka. They're gonna use Jamie: Hopefully. Liam: Bucky. You know, Jelon is you know what? I'm gonna add to it. Jelon is best smile in the NFL. He's also gonna get a rushing touchdown. Jamie: Yeah. Quarterback does Liam: Yeah. Tampa Bay by eight points, two interceptions, not takeaways, two interceptions, and J Lon rushing touchdown. Jamie: Well I want you to do it, right? Describe be the Russian touchdown. Is it is it a read? Is it is it a quarterback design run? Is it a QB sneak? Like list one second. Yeah, yeah. Liam: Hang on, let me read these cosmic waves. Let me read these cosmic waves. Jamie: Listeners, close your eyes. Liam: Do do do do do We'll have to come up that mystical noise, Jamie. Jamie: Yeah. Liam: It's gonna be a play fake, fake handoff, reverse out to the left. Jalon beats the defender to the corner. Jamie: Die die for the die for the pylon or just easy straight in. Doesn't need to. He's quick. Liam: There you go. He doesn't need to. He's too quick. He's too quick. There you go. Jamie: Love it. That's fantastic. Yeah. Liam: Mystic Marshall strikes again. I've already that sorry, that was me speaking from the future. Jamie, I'm back in the room. I was my mind had gone. I'd been taken over Jamie: wow. Liam: by future Liam. Right, Mystic Marshall, cool. Right. Jamie: It would be amazing if the Steelers win by like twenty points. That's gonna be I'm call no what yeah, Mystic Marshall said so, so Liam: No, Jamie, it would it's not going to happen. Don't you worry. Mystic Marshall said it, so it shall be. cool. Anyway, on to our next segment. Can't be having too much fun. and we're going on to forkham. The forkum segment. We throw another team onto the pile, and we are saying that they are not making it to the playoffs. We're calling it early. Head week six on the pile so far. I'm feeling good about most of the pile. We've got the Browns, Dolphins, Tech, Titans, and Chargers not making it to the playoffs. The one I'm not feeling so great about is the Texans, but if the Jags beat them in London, don't let me down, Jaguars. Then I'm feeling better about that one. After that, now we need to add one more team to that pile. Jamie, we've got a couple of candidates. For this week, I think some people are screaming at us, saying, they're never making it. Who are you thinking about adding to the pile? Jamie: I think the commander's gotta be on the pile, haven't they? They're not gonna make it. Not gonna make they're not they're not as good as the Eagles, they're not as good as the Cowboys, not as good as the Giants. I think they've gotta be on it. Liam: Cool. So you're right, so it's with me to pick the other team to debate. Jamie: Yeah, who you got? Liam: So there's two I think that stand out. We had a little discussion before, and I think the two I didn't know he was going to go with the commanders, actually, but I think the two that we're going to discuss as maybe we're going to be the Colts or the Cardinals. At the minute, I think we've got like every. We've Jamie: No. Liam: already got two AFC South teams. In in the bin. So I'm gonna avoid putting the Colts in for now. So I'm Jamie: Yeah. Liam: gonna opt for the Arizona Cardinals. Do you wanna fight your side first or should I fight my side first? Jamie: What what if I concede? Liam: You can't concede before we wouldn't have a podcast. Jamie: I know, I know, but the thing is when you look at the divisions, right, you think like Super Rams who are obviously, you know, not very good. you've got the Super Seahawks who again could be three and three by under this week. And then you've got, you know, the wine the you know the fine wine 49ers. and then you've got the Cardinals. you know, or or you could be like, you've got you got the Eagles, you know. wow, what a powerful team with three straight losses. You've got The the Giants with Jameis and you've got Dallas Cowboys with embarrassing Dak. So like, you know, realistically, pfft I mean, but really I think next week we're probably gonna add the one who isn't added this week on to next week, right? So so John commanders, right? They're quarterback, his elbow keeps falling out. Can you know, that's that's what that's one, you know, they've got their their running game isn't great either. Yeah, yeah, they had one good game, one fluke win against, you know, the reigning Super Bowl champs. Liam: It that looks like such a fluke with their backup quarterback as well. so okay, so Jamie, actually Jamie: ma yeah, exactly. yeah. What have you you know? Liam: you just said that everybody's terrible. Jamie: I mean when you look at it, yeah. Liam: I mean, for me, the commanders are in a bit of a A mad division, like I'm not looking at that division knowing who's winning. and Jaden like their c Jaden Daniels looks he looks so good. Jamie: It does look good. Liam: he is like the funniest high end quarterback as well, by the way. I love him. But then sometimes I'm like, Are you good? But anyway, he is. Jamie: Good at he's very good at copywriting his own number and no one else can use it. Love it. Well done, mate. You gotta lie Yeah, yeah. Liam: yeah, I know, yeah. I was just gonna say I've got anyway, behind me the numbers nearly there. so d the the saving grace for the Cardinals, is there any? I think they're in such a Titanic of a division. Is that a right term? Whatever. It's such a mad division. I Jamie: It's a p i yeah. Yeah. Liam: just they just can't, they're not gonna knock. come fourth in that division. So for me, I think I'm gonna be forking the Cardinals. Jamie: Yeah, I'll I'll back. As as do you know what, I actually forgot we didn't already fought the Cardinals. So when you mentioned them earlier I How have we not fought the Cardinals? Fought Liam: Jamie, what are they? They're forked. Cool. On to our Jamie: Fuck. Liam: last segment of the day, and it's the Survivor series. So I am currently 3-0 up, having beaten out Jamie in three Survivor Pauls in five game weeks. Jamie, you are pretty terrible at this. But we're gonna start a new one going into game week six. Who are you? Choosing as your survivor. Jamie: Okay, they scored 45 last week. I'm back in the New England Patriots to beat the Jets as they always do at home. They always beat the Jets. They can't let me down. Don't let me down. I can't lose again. We're only in week six, and I'm only 3-0 down after five weeks. Liam: Yeah, I mean I don't think that's the most obvious one. I mean, I'm gonna talk through some of the other options that I was thinking. 49ers to beat commanders. maybe even Colts to beat the Titans. Hmm. And would you even think about doing the Rams to beat the Cardinals? Jamie: Maybe. I mean d y do you wanna you love the Rams, don't you? Do you wanna bat the Rams? Liam: No, no, no. I am I know exactly who I'm picking. I'm picking the Chiefs to beat the Chargers. Yeah. Jamie: Yeah, they should, shouldn't they? Liam: So yeah. Okay. So you're sticking? Jamie: Stick it, yeah. Patriots. Liam: Cool. So yeah. Okay, so my survivor pick is the Chiefs, and your Jamie's survivor pick is the Patriots and the ascending Drake May. So last bit of news to cover. By peep teams on the bye this week. They are the Cincinnati Bengals, the Detroit Lions, the Miami Dolphins, and the Minnesota Vikings. They're not playing this week. Cool. So Jamie, that's all wrap. Another pod in the bag. Week six preview. Buzzed for this gay week. Jamie: Yeah, should be should be good. I actually I do think the Panthers Eagles game is good. It's on the sky as one of the main games as well. It's gonna be a heater. I think it's gonna be it's gonna be good. Also, Liam: Yeah. Jamie: I we have to mention Brian Flores because he's been mentioning every single pod, and I can't li just cause it's the bye week, you we gotta mention him. Liam: Do you know what, Mike? I'll add this to the world take, Jamie. No one's beaten that ninety plus blitz rate that Blo Brian Flores put up last week, which is Jamie: Yeah. Liam: insane. Mate, Brian Flores, next head coach for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, which is gonna help stick it to that other Florida team down there in the old bottom of the thing. Florida. The bottom of the thing. So yeah, Brian Flores, Jamie: Yeah. Liam: we're a we're a pro Brian. Pod. Cool. Jamie, been a pleasure. As always. Peace and love. Jamie: As always.
