Speaker 1: sand of the sea, and I saw a beast rising

Speaker 1: up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns,

Speaker 1: and on his horns ten crowns, and on his heads

Speaker 1: a blasphemous name. Now, the beasts which I saw, was

Speaker 1: like a leopard, and his feet were like the feet

Speaker 1: of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of

Speaker 1: a lion. The Dragon gave him his power, his throne,

Speaker 1: and great authority. And I saw one of his heads

Speaker 1: as if it had been mortally wounded, and his deadly

Speaker 1: wound was healed. And all the world marveled and followed

Speaker 1: the beast. So they worshiped the dragon, who gave authority

Speaker 1: to the beasts, and they worship the best, saying, who

Speaker 1: things and blasphemies, And he was given authority to continue

Speaker 1: those who dwell in heaven. It was granted to him

Speaker 1: And authority was given him over every tribe, tongue in nation.

Speaker 1: I saw another beast coming up out of the earth,

Speaker 1: and he had two horns like a lamb, and spoke

Speaker 1: like a dragon. And he exercised all the authority of

Speaker 1: the first beasts in his presence, and causes the earth

Speaker 1: and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast,

Speaker 1: beast whose deadly wound was healed. He performs great signs

Speaker 1: so that even makes fire come down from heaven on

Speaker 1: the earth in the sight of men. And he deceives

Speaker 1: those who dwell on the earth by those signs which

Speaker 1: he was granted to do in the sight of the beast,

Speaker 1: telling those who dwell on the earth to make an

Speaker 1: image to the beast who was wounded by the sword

Speaker 1: and lived. He was granted power to give breath to

Speaker 1: the image of the beasts, that the image of the

Speaker 1: beast should both speak and cause as many as would

Speaker 1: not worship the image of the beast to be killed.

Speaker 1: He calls all both small and great, rich and poor,

Speaker 1: free enslaved to receive a mark on their right hand

Speaker 1: or on their forehead, and that no one may buy

Speaker 1: or sell except one who has the mark or the

Speaker 1: name of the beast. The number of his name. Here

Speaker 1: is wisdom that he who hear let him who has

Speaker 1: understanding calculate the number of the beasts, for it is

Speaker 1: the number of a man. The number is six six six. Wow,

Speaker 1: that was a lot. That was a lot. Thank you

Speaker 1: verse one through ten. Now John begins this chapter with

Speaker 1: a terrifying image. He says, and I stood up on

Speaker 1: the sand of the sea and saw a beast rise

Speaker 1: up out of the sea, having seven heads and ten horns,

Speaker 1: and abund his horns, ten crowns, and abun his head's

Speaker 1: a blasphemous name. Now I thought it was interesting that

Speaker 1: he was standing on the sand of the sea. Now

Speaker 1: this reminds me of a beach, and I love water.

Speaker 1: You can ask my wife, you can ask my family.

Speaker 1: Every chance we get, man, we're going out to the beach.

Speaker 1: We go out on my brother's boat. Shout out to

Speaker 1: But this would be a very strange thing to stand

Speaker 1: on this beach and see the image that our brother

Speaker 1: John saw. I can just imagine the revelation that he received. Now,

Speaker 1: this beast represents a global empire. And if you listen

Speaker 1: to our last episode, we broke down the dragon. The

Speaker 1: dragon had seven heads, crowns, all this stuff, and so

Speaker 1: it's funny how this beast resembles the dragon. Right, we're

Speaker 1: gonna break that down. But also we discovered that Satan

Speaker 1: is the god of this world, that he has always

Speaker 1: been in control of these worldly empires, these kings, these

Speaker 1: potentates or whatever you want to call them, that has

Speaker 1: ruled the world. They have been heavily influenced by Satan.

Speaker 1: Now this beast represents a global empire, a political system

Speaker 1: backed by Satan himself. The seven heads and the ten
13:18
Speaker 1: horns connect us to Daniel's vision kingdoms and kings that
13:24
Speaker 1: oppose the rule of God. Remember we talked about that
13:29
Speaker 1: in our last episode. These are not just governments, but
13:34
Speaker 1: spiritual systems of rebellion against the mighty Lamb of God,
13:41
Speaker 1: which they will not prevail. Amen. Now Verse two tells
13:45
Speaker 1: us the beast is like a leopard and a bear
13:50
Speaker 1: and a lion. Now pulling traits from all the major
13:59
Speaker 1: empt of the past. You got Greece, you got the Persians,

Speaker 1: and you got Babylon. But there is a little twist

Speaker 1: to this, the dragon gives him his power and great authority.

Speaker 1: You see, Satan himself empowers this beast. This is a

Speaker 1: counterfeit kingdom mimicking the Kingdom of God. Let me say

Speaker 1: that again. This is a counterfeit kingdom is mimicking the

Speaker 1: Kingdom of God. As we know, when Christ reigns, he

Speaker 1: will have all authority to reign as king. God the

Speaker 1: Father will give him all of the authority to reign,

Speaker 1: to judge the nations, and he will rule like a

Speaker 1: potter's vessel. Now let's take away some insights from this.

Speaker 1: In verse three, it mentions the wounded head that was healed.

Speaker 1: This represents a seemingly fatal blow to this system, possibly

Speaker 1: a fallen empire that has been revived, causing the world

Speaker 1: to marvel and follow it and worship it. Now we

Speaker 1: are seeing the rise of a political spiritual system demanding loyalty. Now,

Speaker 1: a lot of people say that this is the fallen
15:58
Speaker 1: Roman Empire that has been revived. We know that the

Speaker 1: Roman Empire was never conquered, It just collapsed from within.

Speaker 1: Now I've also heard other people say that this is

Speaker 1: the Antichrist himself that will receive this blow, and that

Speaker 1: he will die somehow, but then he will rise again.

Speaker 1: And some people say that when he rises again, Satan

Speaker 1: himself will be embodied in him. Now these are just

Speaker 1: you know, do your own study. These are just some

Speaker 1: commentaries that I've read in some things that I've heard

Speaker 1: in messages over the years. So it could be a

Speaker 1: political system, an empire that revised, or it could be

Speaker 1: personally that Antichrist himself and he fakes a resurrection. He

Speaker 1: wants to God, wants to copy I mean, Satan wants

Speaker 1: to copy God so bad, so he probably wants to

Speaker 1: fake the resurrection of Christ with his false Messiah. Now

Speaker 1: here's a question. Are we paying attention to the systems

Speaker 1: today that demand allegiance at the cost of our faith?

Speaker 1: That is a powerful question. Are we paying attention today

Speaker 1: to the systems that are being put in place that

Speaker 1: demand allegiance at the cost of our faith? Is there

Speaker 1: any system out there that is demanding your allegiance. Let's

Speaker 1: take a second and think about COVID nineteen. Think about

Speaker 1: all the people who are forced to take that vaccine. I,

Speaker 1: for one, I did not take the vaccine. Look at

Speaker 1: how many people were threatening their jobs, threatening everything if

Speaker 1: they did not take the vaccine. I even went to

Speaker 1: a doctor's appointment to have them try to talk me

Speaker 1: into taking the vaccine, forcing me to. It's just one

Speaker 1: step away from them saying, you know what, renounce your
18:55
Speaker 1: faith or you will lose your job. Renounce your faith,

Speaker 1: or you cannot buy groceries. Renounce your faith. This is

Speaker 1: where the systems are headed. I hope you're paying attention.

Speaker 1: All right, let's get back to it. In verse five

Speaker 1: through ten, it says, and there was given unto him

Speaker 1: a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies. This beast speaks

Speaker 1: against our heavenly Father, Almighty God, and yet the world

Speaker 1: will listen. He makes war with the Saints and overcomes

Speaker 1: them temporarily. But we do know that to live is

Speaker 1: Christ and to die is gain, So did he really

Speaker 1: overcome them? Ultimately, if they hold on to their faith,

Speaker 1: they will make it home to Heaven. And also, I

Speaker 1: want to point out that this group cannot be the

Speaker 1: Church because Jesus said that the gates of Hell shall

Speaker 1: not prevail against the Church. So it's impossible for the

Speaker 1: Church to be on earth during the Great Tribulation. Because

Speaker 1: if that's the case, then Jesus's word would fail, and

Speaker 1: we know that His word cannot be broken. Amen. So

Speaker 1: these are the tribulation saints, where this beast had the

Speaker 1: opportunity to overcome them. But don't lose heart. It's only

Speaker 1: for a season. Verse ten ends with the encouragement here

Speaker 1: the patience in the faith of the saints. Sometimes we're

Speaker 1: called to endure. The early Church faced a lot of persecution.

Speaker 1: The end times Church will face persecution again. But God

Speaker 1: has not forsaken us. He has a purpose even in

Speaker 1: our suffering. Amen, even in our suffering, He has a purpose.

Speaker 1: So I never said that the Church will not be persecuted,

Speaker 1: but the Word says that the gates of hell shall

Speaker 1: not prevail against her. All right, Now, let's jumped down

Speaker 1: to eleven and eighteen. The Beast from the Earth. Verse eleven,

Speaker 1: John sees another beasts coming out of the earth. This

Speaker 1: one looks like a lamb, but speaks like a dragon.

Speaker 1: That's deception at its finest. It looks like Christ, it

Speaker 1: looks like truth and peace, maybe even religious, but its

Speaker 1: voice is Satanic, and this beloved, I believe, is the

Speaker 1: false prophet. Now I want you to notice how similar

Speaker 1: these beasts look. They look like the serpent, the dragon,

Speaker 1: seven heads and the crowns and all this stuff. And

Speaker 1: now here's another beast. Looks like a sheep. Very religious,

Speaker 1: but his words are like a dragon. Satan's number one

Speaker 1: weapon is deception. The only way that we can get

Speaker 1: the truth is out of the word of God. Let's

Speaker 1: be careful of that. Let's not deceive ourselves. Let's not

Speaker 1: allow the enemy to deceive us. That deception is wicked. Now,

Speaker 1: this false prophet has a religious system and he is

Speaker 1: the leader of it. But he points everyone to worship

Speaker 1: the first Beast. Now this is similar to the work

Speaker 1: of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit points everyone to

Speaker 1: worship Jesus Christ. The Spirit is here to uplift Christ.

Speaker 1: Jesus the work of the Spirit. But this false prophet

Speaker 1: is pointing everyone to the first beast, to Antichrist. This

Speaker 1: is spiritual deception because he even performed signs and wonders.

Speaker 1: He calls fire from heaven. How many of you think

Speaker 1: of Elijah and the Old Testament. I'm thinking the enemy

Speaker 1: has been waiting. I don't think he was allowed that

Speaker 1: the enemy could have. He probably would have called fire

Speaker 1: from heaven, and God forbide him from doing it. But

Speaker 1: Now he gets his chance. Now he gets his opportunity

Speaker 1: to deceive the people. And he was probably waiting for

Speaker 1: thousands of years to do this, to call fire down

Speaker 1: from heaven. And this is gonna deceive the earth. The

Speaker 1: whole world will be deceived through these false miracles. Now

Speaker 1: also the false prophet will institute the mark of the Beast.

Speaker 1: Now this is very popular. A lot of people have

Speaker 1: heard about. There's been movies produced behind this, the mark

Speaker 1: of the Beasts, and it would be implanted in the

Speaker 1: right hand or in the forehead, without which no one

Speaker 1: can buy or sell. People are gonna literally starve to

Speaker 1: death by refusing to take this mark, if they have

Speaker 1: enough resistance, if they have enough fight in them, which

Speaker 1: I do pray amen, But this could possibly be one

Speaker 1: of the consequences. Now, this past weekend I did my

Speaker 1: visit at the juvenile detention center. Our classroom was full

Speaker 1: and we had a discussion about this, and I was

Speaker 1: telling them the BT system is already here in place.

Speaker 1: These are the early stages of it. They already have

Speaker 1: the technology. They have a microchip that they've been developing

Speaker 1: for years that they can implant in your right hand

Speaker 1: or on your forehead, and without it you cannot buy

Speaker 1: or sell. Imagine your employer requiring that you take this

Speaker 1: microchip or you would be terminated immediately. Or let's think

Speaker 1: of the people who have worked all their lives and

Speaker 1: finally got to the point where they can retire, and

Speaker 1: they got retirement, They got all this stuff saved up

Speaker 1: in the bank, your four to one K, all this

Speaker 1: stuff that you all your life, you've been saving for now,

Speaker 1: all of a sudden, the government coming to you saying,

Speaker 1: if you want to continue to receive your retirement pay

Speaker 1: k or whatever investments, even the stock market all that.

Speaker 1: If you want to access all this money you mean,

Speaker 1: working hard for all your life, you gotta take this microchip.

Speaker 1: allegiance and they want you to renounce your faith in Christ, Beloved,

Speaker 1: That is crazy. So how much more should we be

Speaker 1: motivated to store up our treasures in heaven rather than

Speaker 1: storing up our treasures in this life? Wow Verse eighteen,

Speaker 1: it says, here is wisdom. Let him that has understanding

Speaker 1: count the number of the beasts, for it is the

Speaker 1: number of a man and his number is six hundred

Speaker 1: six score and six, as we get the popular six

Speaker 1: sixty six from the number of a man falling short

Speaker 1: of God's perfection, and God's perfection is seven. Seven is

Speaker 1: a number of perfection. Wow, this is a lot. All right,

Speaker 1: Let's look at some application and then we'll go to

Speaker 1: a quick music break. Now we need to walk and discernment,

Speaker 1: belove it. We are being called to discern the times,

Speaker 1: we are being called to know the season that we're

Speaker 1: living in. Spiritually, systems rise that demand our loyalty. But

Speaker 1: we must remain loyal to the Lamb. We cannot be

Speaker 1: deceived by signs, power and appearances. We walk by faith,

Speaker 1: not by sight. If it doesn't line up in the Word,

Speaker 1: then discard it. If you can't find chapter in verse

Speaker 1: and break it down in context and understand it, then

Speaker 1: discard it. It's deception. Even at the juvenile detention center,

Speaker 1: one of the kids asked me about some of the

Speaker 1: other chaplains that come in there, and they asked me.

Speaker 1: That asked me whether or not a certain chaplain to

Speaker 1: them that before you die, God will give you a

Speaker 1: chance to repent. And I said, well, I don't care

Speaker 1: if it's a chaplain or pastor or whoever. If they

Speaker 1: gives them a false hope. That to me, that's like, oh,
