Dr. Yamson challenges CEOs to cut Ghana’s reliance on imports

Chairperson of the Ghana CEO Vision High-Level Dialogue and Chief Executive Officer of Ishmael Yamson and Associates, Dr Ishmael Yamson, has challenged Ghanaian chief executive officers to reduce the country’s dependence on imported goods and technology, urging businesses to invest more in local production and innovation.
He made the call on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Ghana CEO Vision High-Level Dialogue at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra, where he said business leaders had a direct responsibility to ensure the success of Ghana’s economic reset.
