Rabies Risk at Lake George | Burlington News
A dead beaver found near Turtle Island at Lake George tested positive for rabies, keeping the swimming advisory in place until July 14th. While it’s not confirmed this beaver bit the two swimmers injured on July 4th, officials warn other beavers in the area may have been exposed. Both victims received rabies shots.
