Speaker 1: Hi, everyone, It's Alex S. Garrett, host of One Look
• 0:08
Speaker 1: Up with Alex Garrett aka One Look Up Alex. Excited
• 0:11
Speaker 1: to have you for a year thirteen of this podcast.
• 0:13
Speaker 1: We've gotten through twelve amazing years thanks to you. Here's
• 0:17
Speaker 1: to lucky thirteen. Team USA is on the way to
• 0:22
Speaker 1: DC right now for the State of the Union, the
• 0:25
Speaker 1: men's hockey team, and they're facing backlash for going. And
• 0:30
Speaker 1: let me tell you, I don't care who's in office,
• 0:35
Speaker 1: who's the commander in chief. To be invited is an
• 0:38
Speaker 1: honor no matter who it is, and to accept it
• 0:43
Speaker 1: and to go and the excitement they had should it
• 0:50
Speaker 1: not be backlash worthy? So you're not going to be
• 0:55
Speaker 1: proud of Team USA because they're going to State of
• 0:57
Speaker 1: Union or to come on, we're better than that in America,
• 1:04
Speaker 1: aren't we. I will be excited for Team USA that
• 1:09
Speaker 1: they are in fact going to the White House tonight
• 1:12
Speaker 1: to celebrate their goal. They're going to say that even tonight,
• 1:15
Speaker 1: and just like that, this Team USA victory has become
• 1:20
Speaker 1: a news story on the One Look Up Alex News.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: I wanted to go there real quick because sports and
• 1:25
Speaker 1: news intersect itself, and my thought is this is a
• 1:31
Speaker 1: sports story first and foremost. The politicization of this is
• 1:34
Speaker 1: absolute crap here on the wollling Up Network. And I'm
• 1:39
Speaker 1: happy the guys took Trump up on his offer to
• 1:42
Speaker 1: go there. And to further the point, I think, and
• 1:46
Speaker 1: I mentioned this yesterday, but I truly believe Team USA
• 1:52
Speaker 1: needs to have this story of both the men's and
• 1:54
Speaker 1: women's teams told so that generations after us and the
• 1:59
Speaker 1: legacy of this team alone, this Winter Olympics teams alone
• 2:05
Speaker 1: live on, just like the Miracle team's story lives on.
• 2:09
Speaker 1: Make that Netflix documentary, make the Peacock documentary. Capitalize on
• 2:15
Speaker 1: this moment if you're USA Hockey, and tell the story
• 2:19
Speaker 1: of the twenty twenty six Olympics
