- 0:00Exodus chapter 26, verse one. Moreover, you shall make the
- 0:07Tabernacle with 10 curtains of fine twined linen, blue, purple,
- 0:12scarlet, with cherubims and cunning work.
- 0:15Shall you make them? What's he talking about here?
- 0:19Well, what you're going to need to understand is that old Moses
- 0:21is up in the cloud with God. Here he is.
- 0:24He's receiving and relaying. God is doing all kinds of
- 0:27amazing things right here. And this is paramount for all of
- 0:31our faith. You need to understand that the
- 0:34last chapter, this chapter, in the next chapter, the three
- 0:37chapters put together, this is a prototype of what is happening
- 0:41in heaven even now. And God wanted them to be able
- 0:45to put together something on this earth that was a
- 0:49representation of what was happening in heaven and what
- 0:53happens day and night, night and day.
- 0:55And there's so much type and shadow in all of these things
- 0:59and they all point towards Christ.
- 1:01Christ is the cornerstone. He's the chief cornerstone.
- 1:04He's the rock that falls and pulverizes all of the
- 1:08opposition. You need to understand that
- 1:11Christ sits at the center of all creation.
- 1:15And as we are reading the details here, you need to
- 1:19understand that there is this purple that is royalty.
- 1:23There's the scarlet that speaks of Christ's blood.
- 1:25There's this blue that is heavenly friends.
- 1:29And then there we're going to see white, which is the purity
- 1:32that God wants. We're seeing so much of this.
- 1:35The cherubim, which we talked about last chapter, which was a
- 1:39representation of the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
- 1:43when the two cherubim sat at his burial clothing there that was
- 1:48waiting for the disciples to come and to discover.
- 1:53And they said, what are you looking for?
- 1:55And it's all pointing towards Christ.
- 1:57Christ has risen. And we celebrate that in the
- 1:59mighty name of Jesus. We're so thankful that he came
- 2:03and that he rescued us from ourselves, rescued us from sin.
- 2:07We give him all due honor and glory and power and dominion in
- 2:12our lives. There's no space that we do not
- 2:15allow Him in and He gets every crack of crevice.
- 2:18There is nothing compartmentalized.
- 2:20It is Christ and it is Christ and it is Christ crucified that
- 2:24we talk about. And that is all that we need to
- 2:26know, friends. That is all that we set our
- 2:29minds towards as Christ and Christ crucified.
- 2:32And we could see it here in this 26th chapter of Exodus.
- 2:37If you lock in and you pay attention, you're going to see
- 2:39Christ all over every page. You're going to see God honored
- 2:43and glorified. You're going to see the Holy
- 2:44Spirit, friends, moving mightily and and here we get to see Moses
- 2:50up in the kind of glory of God, his manifest presence.
- 2:54And he's being fueled by God and he's doesn't even need water or
- 2:58food because he's in the presence of God.
- 3:01I pray that that is what you yearn for and pulsate towards.
- 3:04I pray that you are like the tree that grows towards the sun,
- 3:10friends. It grows and it stretches itself
- 3:13towards the sun. Verse 2, the length of one
- 3:17curtain shall be 8 and 20 cubits, and the breadth of one
- 3:20curtain 4 cubits, and every one of the curtains shall have one
- 3:23measure. So what you're going to need to
- 3:25know as we get into this chapter is that there is just the simple
- 3:30items with on the outside, but as you go into the inside, it's
- 3:33all overlaid with gold. Anywhere that God's presence is,
- 3:38it's fine and it is beautiful and it is perfect.
- 3:42But you can see also in the life of Christ that on the outside
- 3:47there was nothing to draw us to Him.
- 3:49But when you understood that He was God, whenever they he took
- 3:54the disciples up on the Mount of Transfiguration, and he let the
- 3:58light shine from within, they got to see that He is Deity,
- 4:01that He is God, that He is the one who spoke it all into
- 4:05existence, friends. And that is who we follow.
- 4:08Verse 3. The five curtains shall be
- 4:11coupled together 1 to another. The other five curtains shall be
- 4:14coupled one to another four. And you shall make loops of blue
- 4:19upon the edge of the one curtain from the cell edge to the
- 4:22coupling. And likewise you shall make in
- 4:25the uttermost edge of another curtain in the coupling of the
- 4:30second. By 50 loops shall you make in
- 4:34one curtain, 50 loops shall you make in the edge of the curtain.
- 4:38And that is in the coupling of the second.
- 4:40The loops may take hold one of another.
- 4:43So you need to know that little blue string.
- 4:45It is synonymous with what you would see the rabbi's walking
- 4:51around with, and it was to remind them of God.
- 4:54And you can see this 50 which is synonymous with the Pentateuch.
- 4:58This is synonymous with the 50 days before Pentateuch cost.
- 5:02You can see that God actually cares about numbers and He cares
- 5:07about colors and He cares about it all and He put it all
- 5:11together. He could have made the earth any
- 5:13way that He wanted to. He could have made humans to
- 5:16just serve him automatically. He could have made us to just
- 5:19worship all day and all night, singing praises unto him.
- 5:24But he gave us free will. He created the world in the way
- 5:27that he did. And it's all for a purpose.
- 5:30And it all points towards Christ and it all points towards our
- 5:34need for Christ. And it all points that this is
- 5:37not the end, that there's so much more to the story, but we
- 5:40only have 100 or 120 years at best to figure it out.
- 5:45To pass the test, to actually put our faith in the Lord Jesus
- 5:49Christ and to be covered in his blood so that we can stand in
- 5:52God's holy presence and be counted as worthy, to be counted
- 5:57as holy, to be counted as perfect and righteous, to be
- 6:01counted as innocent friends because of what Christ did.
- 6:04It's nothing about what we do, but it's all about what he did.
- 6:08Verse 6 And you shall make 50 patches of gold, and coupled the
- 6:12curtains together with the patches, and it shall be one
- 6:15Tabernacle. So there's many things coming
- 6:18together to make one, and that is the church, friends. 7 And
- 6:24you shall make curtains of goat's hair to be covering upon
- 6:27the Tabernacle. 11 curtains you shall make. 8 And the length of
- 6:32one curtain shall be. 30 cubits, and the breadth of one curtain 4
- 6:36cubits. And the 11 curtains shall be the
- 6:39all of one measure 9 And you shall couple 5 curtains by
- 6:43themselves and six curtains by themselves, and you shall double
- 6:46the six curtain in the forefront of the Tabernacle.
- 6:49So he's talking about the entrance to come in.
- 6:52He mentioned the goat's hair. Friends, you need to know that
- 6:57we serve a loving God who took all of our sins upon himself.
- 7:03He is liking to a scapegoat. He is put all of the sins of
- 7:08humanity upon himself, and he's imputed to us his righteousness.
- 7:1411 You shall make 50 tashes of brass.
- 7:17Put the tashes into the loops, and couple the tent together
- 7:20that it may be. 1 So there, he's mentioning brass.
- 7:23He's already mentioned gold. And you need to know that the
- 7:26brass speaks of the judgment, friends.
- 7:29And we know that Jesus's legs are like brass.
- 7:33They're brazen, and we know that it is like the circle upon the
- 7:37pole that we look upon and receive our salvation. 12 And
- 7:41the remnant that remains in the curtains of the tent, and the
- 7:44half curtain that remains shall hang over the backside of the
- 7:48Tabernacle. 13 In a cubit on one side and a cubit on the other
- 7:52side, which remain in the length of the curtains of the tent.
- 7:55It shall hang over the sides of the Tabernacle on this side and
- 7:59on that side to cover. 14 And you shall make covering for the
- 8:03tent of Rams skins, dyed Reds, and a covering above badger's
- 8:08skins. So you need to know that this
- 8:10was waterproof on the outside, that it could withstand the
- 8:15elements. 15 And you shall make boards for the Tabernacle of
- 8:20tomb wood standing up. That's that Acacia wood that is
- 8:24high in the resin content, and it is waterproof. 1610 Cubits
- 8:30shall be the link of a board in cubit, and a half shall be the
- 8:33breadth of one board. 17210 And shall there be in one board set
- 8:39in order one against another. Thus shall you make for all the
- 8:43boards of the Tabernacle. So these boards were to slide in
- 8:46and interlock with each other, and you had boards that would
- 8:50slide in that were vertical. And then he's going to tell us
- 8:54about the boards that were to slide in that were to be
- 8:57horizontal and it was to be a structure that could be
- 9:02assembled and desymbled as God would tell them to move and to
- 9:06keep moving, friends. But it is all to be completely
- 9:10waterproof and tight. And it was going to take the
- 9:14perfect measurements and we're going to see how God is going to
- 9:19supernaturally give the ability to the workers to be able to
- 9:24make this and put it all together where it can be
- 9:26constructed and deconstructed and moved and put back together
- 9:31whenever they get settled. 1610 cubits shall be the length of a
- 9:38board, and a cubit and a half shall be the breadth of one
- 9:40board. 17 The two tenants shall be there in one board setting in
- 9:46order one against another. Thus shall you make for all the
- 9:49boards of the Tabernacle, 18. And you shall make the boards of
- 9:52the Tabernacle 20 boards on the South side southward, 19.
- 9:56And you shall make 40 sockets of silver under the 20 boards, 2
- 10:01sockets under one board for his two tenons, and two sockets
- 10:05under another board for his two tenons, 20.
- 10:08And for the second side of the Tabernacle, on the north side,
- 10:11there shall be 20 boards, 21 in the 40 sockets of silver, 2
- 10:16sockets under one board, and two sockets under another board.
- 10:20So here he's talking about the silver.
- 10:22And we know that the silver is the money that is used to
- 10:26redeem, and we know that we are a redeemed people, and we're so
- 10:30thankful for the redemption that Christ won for us and bought for
- 10:34us on the cross. 22 In the sides of the Tabernacle westward, in
- 10:39that thou shall make six boards, 23 And two boards shall you
- 10:43make. For the corners of the
- 10:45Tabernacle of the two sides, 24 And they shall be coupled
- 10:48together beneath, and they shall be coupled together above the
- 10:52head of it in one ring. Thus shall it be for them both.
- 10:55They shall be for the two corners. 25 And you shall be 8
- 10:59boards in the sockets of silver, 16 sockets, 2 sockets under one
- 11:03board, and two sockets under another board. 26 And you shall
- 11:07make bars of Timwood 5 for the boards of the one side of the
- 11:11Tabernacle. 27 Five bars of the boards of the other side of the
- 11:15Tabernacle, and the five bars for the boards of the side of
- 11:18the Tabernacle, for the two sides westward. 28 In the middle
- 11:22bar in the midst of the board shall reach from end to end.
- 11:26So those are the horizontal bars that hold the structure together
- 11:31and keep it tight. 29 And you shall overlay the boards with
- 11:35gold, and make their rings of gold for places for the bars,
- 11:41and you shall overlay the bars with gold. 30 And you shall rear
- 11:46up the Tabernacle according to the fashion of it, which was
- 11:50showed to you on the mount. So God is showing him the
- 11:54heavenly architecture. God has Moses upon the mountain
- 12:02for 40 days and for 40 nights, and he ate nothing, and he drank
- 12:05nothing. And God was there with him, and
- 12:08God was showing him all of these measurements.
- 12:11He was showing him the heavenly architecture. 31 And you shall
- 12:16make a veil of blue and purple and scarlet and fine twine linen
- 12:23of cunning work with cherubims shall it be made.
- 12:25So he mentions this same little section here.
- 12:29And he's telling him about the angels, and he's telling him
- 12:31about the heavenly realm, and he's telling him about the blood
- 12:34of Christ, and he's telling him about Jesus's royalty as the
- 12:38king of kings. 32 And you shall hang it upon 4 pillars of chitin
- 12:44wood overlaid with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold
- 12:47upon the four sockets of silver. So we're going to get to see the
- 12:51veil that was torn from top to bottom whenever Jesus Christ
- 12:56hung on the cross. And he cried out, and he
- 13:00breathed his last. And we know that the earthquake,
- 13:04and we know that the sun was darkened.
- 13:08And he said ello ello Shah Bakhtani.
- 13:12And we know that he gave up the ghost and nobody took it from
- 13:15him. He willingly went to the cross
- 13:17like a lamb who was silent before the shears.
- 13:21And here we can see the God all the way back here in Exodus.
- 13:26God had it in His mind of what He wanted to do, and that is why
- 13:30He mirrored and modelled it all to point us towards Christ, to
- 13:35point us towards Calvary, to point us towards the love of
- 13:40Jesus Christ for humanity. That He hung there naked and
- 13:44bled out, and his side was pierced, and He died a
- 13:49criminal's death so that we can be forever with Yahweh
- 13:53everlasting, covered in the innocent blood of Jesus Christ.
- 14:0232 And you shall hang it upon the four pillars of the shitum
- 14:05wood, overlay with gold. Their hooks shall be of gold
- 14:08upon the four sockets of silver. 33 And you shall hang up the
- 14:11veil under the tashes, and you may bring in there within the
- 14:16veil the ark of the Testimony, and the veil shall divide unto
- 14:20you between the Holy Place and the Most Holy.
- 14:23So there was 2 parts here friends, the Holy Place and then
- 14:27the most Holy and inside of the most holy was the Ark of the
- 14:31Covenant, which is going to contain the 10 commandments.
- 14:35It's going to contain the bud of or the the rod of Aaron that had
- 14:41budded and it's going to contain the jar of manna.
- 14:44And it is reminding us of the bread of life.
- 14:47It is reminding us of Jesus's authority in life.
- 14:50It is reminding us of the law and the blood of Jesus over the
- 14:55law, covering it and fulfilling it. 34 And you shall put the
- 15:01mercy, see, upon the ark of the testimony in the Most Holy
- 15:05Place. 35 And you shall set the table outside the veil and the
- 15:10Candlestick over against the table on the side of the
- 15:14Tabernacle toward the South, and you shall put the table on the
- 15:17north side. So here we can see that the
- 15:19table for the showbread is in the holy place.
- 15:23We can see that the menorah is in the Holy place, but we see
- 15:27that the Ark of the Covenant is inside the Most Holy Place, the
- 15:30holiest of Holy. And the priest could only enter
- 15:34into that place once a year for the remission of sins for all
- 15:42the people. And if he did not do everything
- 15:44just right to come into the presence of God, he would be
- 15:47slain. 36 And you shall make a hanging for the door of the tent
- 15:52of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twine linen rock with
- 15:57needlework. 37 And you shall make for the hanging 5 pillars
- 16:01of Tim wood, and overlay them with gold, and their hooks shall
- 16:05be of gold. And you shall cast 5 sockets of
- 16:07brass for them. Well in there.
- 16:11I hope you've been blessed by this amazing chapter.
- 16:14I know I sure have. We'll pick it up right there
- 16:17tomorrow. Let's say a prayer.
- 16:21We love you, Lord. We love you God.
- 16:22We love everything about you. We love who you are.
- 16:25We love the way you move. We thank you God for your holy
- 16:28words. We thank you, God that you've
- 16:30rescued us. We love you so much, King Jesus,
- 16:33and we ask that you'll touch us today and heal our bodies, heal
- 16:37our minds today. God, I pray that you'll bring
- 16:41families together. God, bring the prodigals home.
- 16:44God, I pray for marriages abroad.
- 16:46I pray that women will choose life today.
- 16:49I pray for righteous judges in the land.
- 16:51I pray for the military. I pray God, for all law
- 16:54enforcement. I pray God that you'll continue
- 16:57to help them, Lord, in this time.
- 17:00I pray that you will restrain the man of lawlessness, God,
- 17:04until the proper time. Thank you, God, for all the many
- 17:08blessings that you've all already given us.
- 17:10Thank you God, for your church, and the gates of hell will not
- 17:14prevail against it. We love you, King.
- 17:16Jesus is in your holy and precious name that I pray.
- 17:19Amen.
