Transcript
- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: We're on this to camp report for August the eighth, twenty twenty five.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: And I'm not in Chicago.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: So it's not a camp report with me actually there.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: It's a camp report of me talking about the doings of today.
- 0:24[SPEAKER_00]: Reading some tweets, reading into some tweets, getting into what people have told me about what happened today.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: And other things.
- 0:36[SPEAKER_00]: But at first, let me tell you, we are brought to you by, and in fact, all of these can't report.
- 0:42[SPEAKER_00]: I brought to you by price picks.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: Use a promo code five FIVE and you get fifty dollars for a five dollar play.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: It is the best promotion.
- 0:53[SPEAKER_00]: You can get anywhere.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: Again, use a promo code five FIVE.
- 0:59[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, they will have some some plays for preseason.
- 1:04[SPEAKER_00]: Beyond the lookout for those.
- 1:06[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, let me get into some of this.
- 1:09[SPEAKER_00]: Whoa, well, where do I start today?
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I'm not going to get into, you know, what, you know, the regular or the latest hate screen written by whoever.
- 1:21[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to get into that or the latest microbial video or the latest Colin Coward video or the latest Bart Scott video.
- 1:30[SPEAKER_00]: or the latest even a Smith video or the latest get up video the latest first take video or the latest fs one video or the latest good morning football video with Kyle Brant who seems to be the only guy who rips them in u.s.
- 1:42[SPEAKER_00]: every chance he gets.
- 1:44[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to get into any of those things.
- 1:46[SPEAKER_00]: Notice how I named the bunch of them.
- 1:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to name Jason like him for either.
- 1:50[SPEAKER_00]: Um, it's just to come.
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: It's like, it's chic now.
- 1:54[SPEAKER_00]: Dolphin suck.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we get it.
- 1:55[SPEAKER_00]: We get it.
- 1:56[SPEAKER_00]: We know you, you hate them.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 1:59[SPEAKER_00]: I can't wait for these games to start.
- 2:01[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, what I'm going to get into is this joint practice today that they have with the Chicago Bears, which depending on who you listen to it went,
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: horrible or it just went okay or average or not good.
- 2:14[SPEAKER_00]: What I do know is you can read into the actual results of joint practice today and the offense was absolutely terrible.
- 2:23[SPEAKER_00]: You have three interceptions and you have three other turnovers.
- 2:27[SPEAKER_00]: That's not a good outing by your offense.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: The only thing they have going for them is that they did pop a couple of plays
- 2:34[SPEAKER_00]: They did win a red zone period where they went one for three and the bears went over three.
- 2:39[SPEAKER_00]: I guess if you're gonna hang your head on anything the dolphins did today was that their defense was actually pretty good.
- 2:46[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess we could do that.
- 2:49[SPEAKER_00]: But let me get into this.
- 2:51[SPEAKER_00]: I want to read some tweets that Travis Wingfield put out today.
- 2:54[SPEAKER_00]: Omar had a couple as well.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: He mentioned that Patrick Paul on the very first play of one V ones got put on his ass.
- 3:03[SPEAKER_00]: I would love to see video of that.
- 3:06[SPEAKER_00]: It's it's unclear who did what in one V ones.
- 3:09[SPEAKER_00]: Although they say that dolphins booked some wins.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: The bears booked some wins, but there was a flag fest for the most part.
- 3:16[SPEAKER_00]: what I would have wanted to know was were these flags holding or were these flags legal hands of the face which tend to happen a lot in one v ones so we shall see maybe we'll learn more maybe there be more video or maybe we'll just watch this game on Sunday how's that
- 3:37[SPEAKER_00]: All right, so let me get into some of this.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: This is all Travis Wingfield's feed today.
- 3:41[SPEAKER_00]: You could check it on Twitter to see what he wrote.
- 3:45[SPEAKER_00]: Tyson Bajitro is a touchdown the coast in Lovelin in seven on seven and two is simultaneously picked off by Jekwam Brisker.
- 3:51[SPEAKER_00]: Now, these are seven on sevens.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: I could care less than a flying titty fuck about seven on sevens.
- 3:59[SPEAKER_00]: I don't think it's real football.
- 4:00[SPEAKER_00]: Corbets get to scan too much.
- 4:03[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have a Russian front of them.
- 4:05[SPEAKER_00]: They don't have an offensive line in front of them.
- 4:07[SPEAKER_00]: So they're not even adjusting for throwing lanes.
- 4:10[SPEAKER_00]: So I don't really care about any of that.
- 4:15[SPEAKER_00]: All right, but I do care that coast and love them beat them for what would have been like a fifty yard gain.
- 4:20[SPEAKER_00]: I heard now I would have want to know, you know, which safety CB who were in coverage like that would have been important.
- 4:31[SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, moving on.
- 4:35[SPEAKER_00]: All right, next one.
- 4:37[SPEAKER_00]: Touchwatch that had a really good one on one in seven on seven period.
- 4:40[SPEAKER_00]: He got open outside against outside leverage and one B one had another great route for a long touchdown.
- 4:47[SPEAKER_00]: Then he made two touchdown catches in seven on seven.
- 4:51[SPEAKER_00]: Well, there's a lot of touchdowns there.
- 4:53[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe the dolphin office was pretty damn good.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: Now here's the thing.
- 4:57[SPEAKER_00]: Taj Washington plays second team in some third team.
- 5:01[SPEAKER_00]: I wouldn't want to know who the hell was the quarterback for this, but we don't get anything on that so far.
- 5:07[SPEAKER_00]: Interception by Jordan Brooks Williams tried commit.
- 5:11[SPEAKER_00]: on the crosser, but he's sunk into the hook zone and made the jumping interception, beautiful spot drop and ball skills.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you can see this play.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Like this is this play is posted by a cash that got on Twitter.
- 5:22[SPEAKER_00]: He gets a lot of these videos and very nice play by Jordan Brooks.
- 5:27[SPEAKER_00]: Like he's not only what I like about the play is that he's not only playing the hook, he's not only the hook defender on this play.
- 5:35[SPEAKER_00]: But he recognizes that the route is trying to layer him.
- 5:40[SPEAKER_00]: It's overlapping him into the zone behind him.
- 5:43[SPEAKER_00]: And he decides, you know what I'm doing?
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: I'm sticking deeper.
- 5:48[SPEAKER_00]: And maybe this ball comes to me.
- 5:51[SPEAKER_00]: And sure enough, the ball did come to him.
- 5:53[SPEAKER_00]: Interception.
- 5:54[SPEAKER_00]: So very, very nice play by Jordan Brooks on there.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: Next tweet, to us got two chunk gains to HN to the open field, one up the sideline, one down the middle, on well-timed throw between two defenders.
- 6:10[SPEAKER_00]: So good shit there by Devon HN.
- 6:14[SPEAKER_00]: Williams has a long touchdown on a really good ball to the corner.
- 6:18[SPEAKER_00]: Receiver weaved his way through thirty or so yards after the catch.
- 6:22[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 6:23[SPEAKER_00]: Anytime we see after the catch stuff in joint practices where they're not tackling to the ground all too much, I'd end up being suspicious.
- 6:32[SPEAKER_00]: uh... tough slain for the zack was in group look he has not had a good week this week although he was much better on one was it Tuesday two off target balls as a comocona hang on uh... when the bears db points to ball out the entry black it's uh... step up the silent but it's overthrown yeah zack was a was not good this week although he was okay on Tuesday
- 6:57[SPEAKER_00]: Next tweet, it's been tough sliding for the dolphins off and the screen of the water gets blown up.
- 7:02[SPEAKER_00]: Then a tackle fell off on a run and not to a sack twice.
- 7:05[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's not good.
- 7:09[SPEAKER_00]: That's not good.
- 7:10[SPEAKER_00]: Taz with two more catches back to back from Zack Wilson made the first man miss both times.
- 7:14[SPEAKER_00]: He's been noticeable all count.
- 7:17[SPEAKER_00]: like he can move a bit.
- 7:19[SPEAKER_00]: So, I'm interested on Sunday.
- 7:22[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see these guys.
- 7:23[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to play, look, the quarterbacks.
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: I'm not going to have any excuses.
- 7:27[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see it pretty good.
- 7:29[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see it, I want to see it working for them.
- 7:31[SPEAKER_00]: I want to see those wide receivers work with Zach Wilson and Quinn Ewers.
- 7:35[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to have many excuses.
- 7:37[SPEAKER_00]: They're going to have every opportunity to put up points on Sunday.
- 7:42[SPEAKER_00]: Next one, can good blocks a punt that goes flying backwards?
- 7:45[SPEAKER_00]: That's good to see.
- 7:47[SPEAKER_00]: Terral Dawson's steps in front of a hook and nearly picks off Williams, but he can't make the catch.
- 7:52[SPEAKER_00]: Next play, Caleb runs around before throwing it away.
- 7:56[SPEAKER_00]: That's something he's been doing a lot.
- 7:58[SPEAKER_00]: Next tweet.
- 7:59[SPEAKER_00]: Two has two chunk gains, one to Malik on an outbreaker for fifteen or so, then to general write up the other sideline for fifteen plus.
- 8:08[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 8:09[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Jones fits the run from the weekside and pops to the back for a tackle for loss.
- 8:13[SPEAKER_00]: Look, Jack Jones has never had the reputation of being much of a hitter, but he's sure it's hell sticking people in training camp so far.
- 8:21[SPEAKER_00]: And today, it seems like he brought it back.
- 8:24[SPEAKER_00]: And my little bird is telling me that he was one of the top performers today as well along with Tyrell Dodson.
- 8:30[SPEAKER_00]: I was heard Devane, a channel was popping off.
- 8:32[SPEAKER_00]: So but we do learn we did learn that the offense wasn't very good today.
- 8:36[SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to have to keep it to those defensive players.
- 8:40[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Jones had a couple of tweets later on.
- 8:42[SPEAKER_00]: One where he suggested that it's really negative on Twitter.
- 8:45[SPEAKER_00]: And then next one he he revealed that he was okay.
- 8:49[SPEAKER_00]: That he was just fine after he was like helped off the field after our play.
- 8:53[SPEAKER_00]: I guess it was just cramps.
- 8:55[SPEAKER_00]: So I want to go ahead and give the player of the practice today to Jack Jones.
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: How does that sound?
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: Although I was not there.
- 9:01[SPEAKER_00]: But
- 9:02[SPEAKER_00]: heard a lot of good things about him today.
- 9:04[SPEAKER_00]: Firebrown catches a little scrambled shovel from Zach and it takes four bears to stand him up after the catch.
- 9:10[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that guy's giant.
- 9:11[SPEAKER_00]: Great.
- 9:12[SPEAKER_00]: So Murphy brought the juice today.
- 9:13[SPEAKER_00]: He brings the juice every single day.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's made plays versus the run and pass and you can hear his celebration from fifty yards away.
- 9:20[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, Grace and Murphy will bring the juice pretty much every practice.
- 9:24[SPEAKER_00]: I can almost guarantee he will have a sack on Sunday.
- 9:28[SPEAKER_00]: His issue is what I've made, you know, made clear many, many times over.
- 9:34[SPEAKER_00]: He's small.
- 9:36[SPEAKER_00]: And when you're small, and the NFL is an headdresser, it can be a detriment.
- 9:40[SPEAKER_00]: Speaking of headdresser's locomotive was not on this trip.
- 9:43[SPEAKER_00]: He is not with the team right now.
- 9:45[SPEAKER_00]: He is back in Miami because he isn't a concussion protocol.
- 9:48[SPEAKER_00]: I guess he, uh, he got a concussion on, because Wednesday, there was very, very light practice.
- 9:56[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess,
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: Well, yesterday there was a very light practice.
- 9:59[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess it happened on Wednesday because he was running around out there on Wednesday.
- 10:03[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess something happened to him on Wednesday where he was accustomed now is in the concussion protocol.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: All right, while in this down, Dolphins often responded to that first pair that had been moving the line of skimmers behind Paul and Savannah, and now are getting the explosives in the run game.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we heard about this and the bears beat was also talking about how the Dolphin run game was actually getting some movement.
- 10:27[SPEAKER_00]: To us, got all day off of plaques and finds water for about thirty yards coming across the field.
- 10:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's not that good news.
- 10:35[SPEAKER_00]: Tua is picked off on a tip past to re-black couldn't make the catch and to save the scooped it up before it fell the ground.
- 10:41[SPEAKER_00]: He's had a very very good camp.
- 10:43[SPEAKER_00]: That has happened to him a couple of times over already to re-black.
- 10:46[SPEAKER_00]: Jim Wright gets some room from the left side behind Patrick Paul.
- 10:49[SPEAKER_00]: Hit the corner with a head of steam.
- 10:52[SPEAKER_00]: Beat your atoms and phase on a deep in completion.
- 10:55[SPEAKER_00]: Good job getting hands on and staying in the hip-hop at the sideline.
- 10:59[SPEAKER_00]: It's grandest having a nice day.
- 11:01[SPEAKER_00]: He's been tough to move in the run game and has gotten knocked back on a couple of rushes.
- 11:07[SPEAKER_00]: Alexander Madison, we know about him.
- 11:09[SPEAKER_00]: He had two fumbles on the day.
- 11:10[SPEAKER_00]: He was not good.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Wingfield then reports about to Nick Westbrook at Keene for forty yards down the middle, a shot and strike, which is nice to hear.
- 11:21[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of the camera with a sack on windows.
- 11:23[SPEAKER_00]: Look, they're bringing a lot of safeties.
- 11:25[SPEAKER_00]: So far in training camp.
- 11:26[SPEAKER_00]: So I guess that's that's part of Anthony Weaver's bag.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, he brings he is.
- 11:32[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I've always liked the pressure five defense.
- 11:34[SPEAKER_00]: Always loved the pressure five defense.
- 11:36[SPEAKER_00]: And for those of you who don't know, it's very, uh, you're talking about light boxes, but always presenting a five man front and you're more liable to always show
- 11:48[SPEAKER_00]: or simulate a five-man pressure, but not bring it in my estimation when you bring it regularly, meaning thirty percent of the time when you simulate it, it actually tends to work because offenses tend to get very, very comfortable in there and how they block these, these sim pressures.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: So sometimes they'll just leave your man
- 12:13[SPEAKER_00]: free and if the offense is not well-schooled on this and if the offense is not prepared to get a free Russia you could search short circuit play you could search circuit plays so this is this is one very common similarity between what Vic fan Joe does and Anthony weaver does the different and Mike McDonald I should say
- 12:37[SPEAKER_00]: There are big differences, like look, there's a lot of cover three and cover six elements in between both.
- 12:44[SPEAKER_00]: But Vic found you rarely brings his fifth guy when he has his his pressure five looks while Mike McDonald and it seems like Anthony weaver do bring that fifth guy pretty often.
- 12:58[SPEAKER_00]: More tweets.
- 12:59[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Jones has another knockdown hit and the Dolphin sideline erupts.
- 13:03[SPEAKER_00]: He's a ball of energy.
- 13:05[SPEAKER_00]: Travis Wingfield writes.
- 13:07[SPEAKER_00]: Brutal red zone period ends and a trimming end wins pick of Tua.
- 13:10[SPEAKER_00]: Bears dominated that period.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Tara doesn't mean to run stop on the first play of the Bears Road Zone period and Zach Williams on third down.
- 13:18[SPEAKER_00]: Minka in coverage for an incompletion on second.
- 13:21[SPEAKER_00]: Jack Jones another blanket rep and yeah, he keeps showing up everywhere.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: Chub Sax, Caleb on the next play followed by another pressure and a throw away.
- 13:31[SPEAKER_00]: Both defenses have been dominant and that concludes all the tweets for the day.
- 13:38[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to go to break.
- 13:40[SPEAKER_00]: And when we come back, we will take your questions on the other side.
- 13:43[SPEAKER_00]: But first, these words.
- 13:46[SPEAKER_00]: All right, and we are back.
- 13:47[SPEAKER_00]: All right, let me take some of your questions.
- 13:52[SPEAKER_00]: All right, first one to confirm is Jonah okay.
- 13:55[SPEAKER_00]: He did not participate in the last the last rep of the day and he told somebody that he was fine.
- 14:06[SPEAKER_00]: So he should be okay.
- 14:09[SPEAKER_00]: Next question after practice today.
- 14:11[SPEAKER_00]: And by the way, if you want to get your questions in, just put them inside the chat.
- 14:15[SPEAKER_00]: After the practice today should we cancel the season tonight or yesterday.
- 14:20[SPEAKER_00]: cancel the sport no right cancel the sport had the players be absorbed by the rest of the league to spend the franchise and turn high rock stadium into a giant parking lot or casino how about a racetrack call there's like right down the the track why don't we just build a racetrack there right have a great meet
- 14:44[SPEAKER_00]: Maybe we'll get a lot of money for big purses, bring the best horses in the world, have a meat during the football season.
- 14:51[SPEAKER_00]: How about that?
- 14:53[SPEAKER_00]: full of ideas.
- 14:54[SPEAKER_00]: Just cancel a sport.
- 14:55[SPEAKER_00]: Move the team out of town.
- 14:57[SPEAKER_00]: Do you think Hills injury is a week tweak or day to day type of injury?
- 15:02[SPEAKER_00]: Day to day.
- 15:03[SPEAKER_00]: You know, it's an oblique.
- 15:05[SPEAKER_00]: So you want to be careful with that.
- 15:07[SPEAKER_00]: You want to aggravate those things because those things can turn into a week to week stuff.
- 15:13[SPEAKER_00]: So just having to light work, man.
- 15:16[SPEAKER_00]: Just working back nice and slow next week in Detroit.
- 15:20[SPEAKER_00]: Just do that.
- 15:23[SPEAKER_00]: But he's essentially done for the weekend like he's not doing anything.
- 15:27[SPEAKER_00]: Even if they play starters on Sunday, he's not playing in that game.
- 15:30[SPEAKER_00]: Another key on and Larry question, consistently is what I'm looking for, where they bad, okay, or great today in joint practice.
- 15:38[SPEAKER_00]: Noteworthed on that key and did see action at tackle.
- 15:41[SPEAKER_00]: How does Bronn's go fair today in joint practice?
- 15:43[SPEAKER_00]: I asked, and I was told that he was non-descript.
- 15:47[SPEAKER_00]: A lot of people did not have a lot of information on what the interior offensive line was doing, because a lot of stuff was far-field.
- 15:57[SPEAKER_00]: and plays were coming off pretty quickly so they couldn't tell what the interior offensive line was doing but I was told that they were getting movement off of the left side and the run game was actually moving people especially the perimeter so like they were getting hook blocks pretty well essentially getting on the outside shoulder moving people out so I'm I'm pretty certain that wasn't just the left side so that would mean the Larry Borom was doing good work in the run game as well
- 16:26[SPEAKER_00]: to a dictate two sacks in the leaven on leaven period.
- 16:29[SPEAKER_00]: Remember, these sacks are, you know, guy comes in, referee just calls it because the quarterback gives up on the play.
- 16:38[SPEAKER_00]: By that estimation, as well, Dolphins booked a ton of sacks on killable limbs.
- 16:44[SPEAKER_00]: The rumor is Brooks and Dodson were fighting the backstory behind it.
- 16:48[SPEAKER_00]: Look, it's not clear that it was Dodson.
- 16:50[SPEAKER_00]: Some people think it was number fifty-seven, which will be Dequan Jackson.
- 16:55[SPEAKER_00]: I guess we will find out later on.
- 16:59[SPEAKER_00]: Next question.
- 17:00[SPEAKER_00]: Now, if it's a season over, is this the darkest Friday in Dolphins history?
- 17:06[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, it has to be close, right?
- 17:09[SPEAKER_00]: Like, last year was the darkest Monday in Dolphins history, remember?
- 17:15[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, is today the darkest Friday in Dolphins history?
- 17:18[SPEAKER_00]: That's a great question.
- 17:19[SPEAKER_00]: Trying to think of other dark Fridays.
- 17:26[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm, is this season over?
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.
- 17:29[SPEAKER_00]: Like, yeah, that thing's over.
- 17:32[SPEAKER_00]: Call it.
- 17:34[SPEAKER_00]: Now here's the thing.
- 17:35[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, if we can forfeit the season, don't we get the first over our pick?
- 17:41[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder if that's in the rule book.
- 17:42[SPEAKER_00]: I've tried to look at that before.
- 17:44[SPEAKER_00]: It's one of my favorite things is to get the NFL rule book and look for the weirdest, non-descript things.
- 17:50[SPEAKER_00]: Are you aware that a team can afford for the game?
- 17:53[SPEAKER_00]: And there are circumstances.
- 17:55[SPEAKER_00]: For example, have you ever wondered if a team has to travel to, let's say, there's a game on Sunday and Green Bay.
- 18:04[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, there's a game on Sunday at Green Bay at one p.m.
- 18:07[SPEAKER_00]: There's snow then.
- 18:08[SPEAKER_00]: So naturally they're like, okay, we can't get the Green Bay at one p.m.
- 18:13[SPEAKER_00]: But maybe we'll get there by four p.m.
- 18:15[SPEAKER_00]: They try to reschedule for four p.m.
- 18:17[SPEAKER_00]: Now let's say they can't get in on Sunday at all.
- 18:20[SPEAKER_00]: Right and they reschedule and this happened before with hurricanes and flash flooding and fires and stuff like that.
- 18:27[SPEAKER_00]: It's happened all the time.
- 18:29[SPEAKER_00]: There was once there was once again the dolphins were supposed to play the chargers in San Diego at that time.
- 18:36[SPEAKER_00]: There were in San Diego.
- 18:37[SPEAKER_00]: They were supposed to play them on at four p.m.
- 18:39[SPEAKER_00]: on a Sunday and they ended up playing the game at I think it was ten p.m.
- 18:45[SPEAKER_00]: on Monday night football.
- 18:48[SPEAKER_00]: They might have even moved it to Tuesday or something like that.
- 18:51[SPEAKER_00]: So that happens all the time.
- 18:53[SPEAKER_00]: But let's just say a team just can't play in the game.
- 18:57[SPEAKER_00]: Like there's just no there's no possibility.
- 19:01[SPEAKER_00]: Well, the NFL has a protocol for this and I've looked it up.
- 19:04[SPEAKER_00]: I looked it up last year.
- 19:06[SPEAKER_00]: They take away your by week and they move the game to the by week.
- 19:13[SPEAKER_00]: If the home team agrees, you following?
- 19:19[SPEAKER_00]: Now, let's just say that the home team says screw you.
- 19:23[SPEAKER_00]: Why should we lose our by week?
- 19:26[SPEAKER_00]: And remember, this is only if they have a common by week.
- 19:29[SPEAKER_00]: So both teams have to have a common by week.
- 19:32[SPEAKER_00]: But let's say they do.
- 19:34[SPEAKER_00]: And they say, OK, look, we can't get this game off.
- 19:38[SPEAKER_00]: And I think the drop dead is Tuesday at APM is the drop dead date for rescheduling a game that was supposed to be played inside of a weekend, right?
- 19:49[SPEAKER_00]: So what happens if the home team remembers the home team?
- 19:52[SPEAKER_00]: Because the home team is there, right?
- 19:53[SPEAKER_00]: The home team could say, look, we'll play at three o'clock in the morning if you guys want to.
- 19:56[SPEAKER_00]: Like we're here.
- 19:57[SPEAKER_00]: You are the ones who can't get in here.
- 20:01[SPEAKER_00]: Let's say it cannot happen.
- 20:04[SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to come off.
- 20:07[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if they have a common by week, they reschedule it for the by week.
- 20:12[SPEAKER_00]: What if the home team decides screw you?
- 20:15[SPEAKER_00]: We were here.
- 20:18[SPEAKER_00]: Well, if they say that, they do not lose the by-week.
- 20:22[SPEAKER_00]: They win the game and they are awarded the win to nothing.
- 20:27[SPEAKER_00]: And it is officially a forehead.
- 20:30[SPEAKER_00]: And the stats do not count for the team.
- 20:33[SPEAKER_00]: It's a DMP for every player involved.
- 20:37[SPEAKER_00]: And it does a crew for your contract, by the way.
- 20:41[SPEAKER_00]: So, all the players get paid.
- 20:44[SPEAKER_00]: They're credited with playing that game.
- 20:47[SPEAKER_00]: So, it qualifies for your pension, it qualifies for your contract.
- 20:51[SPEAKER_00]: So, you're not hurt by it at all.
- 20:55[SPEAKER_00]: But it is too to nothing.
- 20:56[SPEAKER_00]: I've always wondered, what would happen if it did come down to that?
- 21:02[SPEAKER_00]: And one team said, you know, we got a free win here, but just saying no.
- 21:07[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder how many teams would do it and how many teams would say, you know what?
- 21:10[SPEAKER_00]: We're honest about this and we're gonna play on our by-week and lose our by-week.
- 21:17[SPEAKER_00]: I remember you're not really losing the by-week.
- 21:19[SPEAKER_00]: You're gaining the by-week that week because you're not playing that week, right?
- 21:23[SPEAKER_00]: I wonder how many teams would take the free win.
- 21:26[SPEAKER_00]: Well, good thing it's never happened, right?
- 21:29[SPEAKER_00]: But if it did, now you know.
- 21:32[SPEAKER_00]: So I'm imparting a little bit of wisdom that I found out by searching the dolphins, but the NFL rule book last year.
- 21:40[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 21:41[SPEAKER_00]: Do the two fumble set and Madison back or written off as early camp stuff?
- 21:46[SPEAKER_00]: Hmm.
- 21:47[SPEAKER_00]: Fumble seemed to be the start of Mozart's fall from Grace.
- 21:49[SPEAKER_00]: That is the truth.
- 21:51[SPEAKER_00]: Look, I don't like fumbles, man.
- 21:55[SPEAKER_00]: Uh, not to be this guy, but I've coach running back to before.
- 21:58[SPEAKER_00]: And if you hear coaches talk about it, the fumble, like look, you could excuse the intersection.
- 22:06[SPEAKER_00]: The interception is easily excusable because you sit down with your quarterback.
- 22:10[SPEAKER_00]: You talk about the coverage.
- 22:11[SPEAKER_00]: You talk about the play call and you realize and then you come to essentially a conclusion.
- 22:17[SPEAKER_00]: Like, what did you see?
- 22:19[SPEAKER_00]: What did you see wrong?
- 22:21[SPEAKER_00]: What did you do wrong?
- 22:22[SPEAKER_00]: What could you have done differently?
- 22:24[SPEAKER_00]: And what are we going to be doing going forward?
- 22:27[SPEAKER_00]: Right?
- 22:28[SPEAKER_00]: The phone balls completely different.
- 22:30[SPEAKER_00]: The phone ball is, what a fuck did you drop the ball?
- 22:33[SPEAKER_00]: So, phone balls tend to drive coaches absolutely insane.
- 22:38[SPEAKER_00]: I know a lot of people like to say, look, this is a, this training camp.
- 22:42[SPEAKER_00]: This is a, a joint practice, who gives a shit.
- 22:47[SPEAKER_00]: I got my shit.
- 22:49[SPEAKER_00]: Not a good look.
- 22:50[SPEAKER_00]: do not fumble period.
- 22:54[SPEAKER_00]: All right.
- 22:56[SPEAKER_00]: Next question and I think we can call it right here unless you guys want to drop in a few more.
- 23:03[SPEAKER_00]: But if not, this will be the last question.
- 23:06[SPEAKER_00]: Are we pinning Jack Jones as QB two?
- 23:08[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, quarterback two.
- 23:10[SPEAKER_00]: I would say yes.
- 23:12[SPEAKER_00]: Okay.
- 23:13[SPEAKER_00]: I understand he's in a death struggle with Kendall Sheffield, Ethan Bonner, come on man.
- 23:19[SPEAKER_00]: The guy has four pick sixes in three NFL seasons.
- 23:22[SPEAKER_00]: The guy makes plays.
- 23:24[SPEAKER_00]: He's a good NFL player.
- 23:28[SPEAKER_00]: And I've said this before.
- 23:29[SPEAKER_00]: I don't, I don't think it's crazy that he plays this season and somebody else gives him fifteen million dollars a year.
- 23:38[SPEAKER_00]: Like I think that's something that can't happen.
- 23:41[SPEAKER_00]: Next question.
- 23:42[SPEAKER_00]: In fact, two more questions.
- 23:43[SPEAKER_00]: Let's take two more questions.
- 23:44[SPEAKER_00]: Is this the year as a comma doesn't make the fifty three?
- 23:47[SPEAKER_00]: Look, he's had a good camp.
- 23:48[SPEAKER_00]: He has slowly faded.
- 23:50[SPEAKER_00]: These preseason games are going to be really important for Eric as a comma.
- 23:55[SPEAKER_00]: Next question, and this is going to be the last.
- 23:57[SPEAKER_00]: Talking about most
- 23:59[SPEAKER_00]: was his big problem injuries last year uh... he went from record record hardly playing yes he was falling apart physically he had pretty much everything going wrong with him last year and i thirty two years old the team decided look man this is it this is the end of the road
- 24:14[SPEAKER_00]: And look, it was fun while it lasted.
- 24:16[SPEAKER_00]: You still have those records for for the rest of time or until it's broken.
- 24:21[SPEAKER_00]: You will own the all time touchdown record for a regular season for the Miami Dolphins.
- 24:26[SPEAKER_00]: So you beat Mark Clayton.
- 24:28[SPEAKER_00]: You had what was it?
- 24:29[SPEAKER_00]: Twenty one touchdowns total.
- 24:32[SPEAKER_00]: Congratulations.
- 24:33[SPEAKER_00]: But this is as far as we go.
- 24:36[SPEAKER_00]: Alright, like I said before, yeah, we're going to give the player the other practice to Jack Jones.
- 24:40[SPEAKER_00]: He had a lot of good press coming out of today.
- 24:43[SPEAKER_00]: So we'll leave it at that.
- 24:46[SPEAKER_00]: They play the game on Sunday, one p.m.
- 24:47[SPEAKER_00]: There is no practice tomorrow.
- 24:50[SPEAKER_00]: We will talk about this on Monday as they go on the road to Detroit next week.
- 24:55[SPEAKER_00]: But talk to you then.
