- 0:10Speaker 1: Hey, everybody.
- 0:11Speaker 2: Welcome to you Girls Gone Hallmark, a bonus episode from
- 0:14Speaker 2: Long Story Short the podcast I'm Megan.
- 0:17Speaker 1: I'm Wendy.
- 0:18Speaker 2: Today we're discussing always a More from Hallmark's Springing to
- 0:24Speaker 2: Love lineup on the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries Channel, which,
- 0:28Speaker 2: if you know us, this is a departure. We're pretty
- 0:31Speaker 2: much Hallmark Channel regulars. We had to jump over to
- 0:36Speaker 2: the Movies and Mysteries channel. This movie aired on Sunday,
- 0:40Speaker 2: April third for the first time, and before we jump
- 0:43Speaker 2: into our thoughts on that, I want to invite you
- 0:45Speaker 2: to join our brand new Facebook group, Girls Gone Hallmark,
- 0:49Speaker 2: where we're discussing all things Hallmark, the latest movies, our
- 0:52Speaker 2: favorite actors, past movies that we've loved TV shows. Are
- 0:56Speaker 2: you going to get Wendy and I to watch Chesapeake Shores?
- 0:59Speaker 2: Which is end? So is it gonna happen?
- 1:02Speaker 1: I don't think so.
- 1:04Speaker 2: I would be more willing to watch that than one
- 1:07Speaker 2: calls the Heart. But hop into our Facebook group and
- 1:09Speaker 2: try to convince me on either. You can find it
- 1:12Speaker 2: by searching Girls Gone Hamewark on Facebook, or just click
- 1:16Speaker 2: the link in our show notes and it will take
- 1:17Speaker 2: you right there. It's time to talk Always a Moore. Wendy,
- 1:21Speaker 2: do you have a synopsis?
- 1:24Speaker 1: I certainly do. As Elizabeth tries to keep her late
- 1:28Speaker 1: husband's once acclaimed restaurant afloat, she's forced to work with
- 1:32Speaker 1: a consultant to turn things around. He reignites her passion
- 1:36Speaker 1: for baking and life itself stirs on Aracer and Tyler
- 1:41Speaker 1: freaking hines.
- 1:45Speaker 2: It's time for news and notes about Always Amore.
- 1:49Speaker 1: You know, I couldn't find a ton of well information
- 1:54Speaker 1: about this movie. I could find interviews, mm, but it
- 1:59Speaker 1: was kind of like the same interview, like repeated over
- 2:02Speaker 1: and over and over like they do. So I'm curious
- 2:07Speaker 1: to find out what you found. But I will say
- 2:09Speaker 1: starting out, this was filmed in February twenty twenty two. Again,
- 2:13Speaker 1: tight turn around these spring movies. Man, That's why they
- 2:17Speaker 1: didn't have any photos or anything when they started to
- 2:21Speaker 1: promote this early on.
- 2:22Speaker 2: It was filmed in Fort Langley, British Columbia, although it
- 2:25Speaker 2: was set on Bainbridge Island in Washington, and I think
- 2:28Speaker 2: they nailed it with that gloomy Pacific Northwest weather right.
- 2:34Speaker 1: I was wondering if Bainbridge is a real place. I
- 2:36Speaker 1: don't know if it is. I'm not familiar with Ded Washington. Okay,
- 2:40Speaker 1: that's very all right to get there. Oh is it
- 2:43Speaker 1: like a small little island? Yes? Oh, okay, okay.
- 2:49Speaker 2: Very important to note this was written by Julie Sherman Wolf.
- 2:52Speaker 2: I would go so far as to say she's our
- 2:55Speaker 2: favorite writer. Is that fair?
- 2:57Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I love her movies.
- 3:01Speaker 2: Love Julie Sherman Wolf's movies. And she tweeted I have
- 3:04Speaker 2: some more thoughts from her later, but I would like
- 3:06Speaker 2: to share right now that she tweeted, Okay, so I'm
- 3:09Speaker 2: gonna need to write a sequel so we can look
- 3:11Speaker 2: at and listen to more Chef Antonio. So oh, obviously
- 3:17Speaker 2: that's a joke, but straight from the writer's mouth her ousel,
- 3:20Speaker 2: So would I would welcome a sequel to this movie?
- 3:24Speaker 1: I would too, because the way they ended it I
- 3:27Speaker 1: thought was real nice. Actually, as sequel could definitely bloom
- 3:33Speaker 1: from this story, and it doesn't even have to have
- 3:36Speaker 1: like Autumn and Tyler in it. It could be about
- 3:39Speaker 1: the chef, because I actually think the chef and the
- 3:44Speaker 1: friend who owns the chocolate chop should get together.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Yes, maybe it can be like they do in Evergreen
- 3:52Speaker 2: set in the same place our old favorites making appearance,
- 3:55Speaker 2: but it's not so much about them anymore.
- 3:57Speaker 1: Mm hmm, yeah, definitely.
- 3:59Speaker 2: Did you know that Tyler Hines got a concussion on set?
- 4:02Speaker 1: Yes? I did, which I'm kind of it didn't really
- 4:06Speaker 1: say the article I read didn't really say how it happened.
- 4:09Speaker 1: It said he was alone.
- 4:11Speaker 2: Uh huh, that's all I know.
- 4:13Speaker 1: Also, do you think he just like tripped and fell
- 4:17Speaker 1: or what?
- 4:18Speaker 2: Did he run smack into some equipment while I was
- 4:21Speaker 2: looking at his phone walking across the set. I don't know,
- 4:24Speaker 2: but apparently he did film the past couple of days
- 4:28Speaker 2: with a concussion.
- 4:29Speaker 1: Yeah, that's what crazy, right, Yeah?
- 4:32Speaker 2: And he said it's all bloody, so he must have
- 4:35Speaker 2: crashed into something.
- 4:38Speaker 1: I'm not laughing, like, you know, concussions are a serious thing,
- 4:41Speaker 1: but I just thought it was like so like random,
- 4:45Speaker 1: Like why didn't he say, like what happened? It's so
- 4:47Speaker 1: vague in his uh explanation of the situation.
- 4:52Speaker 2: Slipped on a banana peel?
- 4:56Speaker 1: Can you imagine? Oh my goodness.
- 4:58Speaker 2: We talked about this in our Spring until I've review episode.
- 5:00Speaker 2: But this movie was produced by Gastronomy Road Production, which
- 5:04Speaker 2: is Giada Dalarentis's production company, and according to IMDb, this
- 5:08Speaker 2: is their first movie that they have produced.
- 5:11Speaker 1: Well, I will say, good job, Yeah, good job.
- 5:15Speaker 2: They got real lucky with the Julie Sherman Wolfe's script.
- 5:20Speaker 1: And with a cast that, uh huh is appealing for Minnie.
- 5:27Speaker 1: I had read a interview with Giada and People Magazine
- 5:33Speaker 1: and she says many of the characters were inspired by
- 5:37Speaker 1: her own loved ones, which I thought was like a
- 5:40Speaker 1: weird comment because wasn't the movie written by Julie Sherman
- 5:45Speaker 1: wolf So just like the production company come in and
- 5:49Speaker 1: be like, oh, I see this character as this kind
- 5:53Speaker 1: of person instead, Is that what happens?
- 5:56Speaker 2: I don't know how much say the production company gets.
- 6:02Speaker 1: Yeah, it just was weird. I was like, are we
- 6:04Speaker 1: trying to steal Julie's thunder?
- 6:07Speaker 2: I'm feeling vaguely protective of our good friend Julie.
- 6:11Speaker 1: Yeah. Bizarre.
- 6:13Speaker 2: Funny little side note. I write the names of the
- 6:16Speaker 2: lead characters in all caps in my notes because we
- 6:18Speaker 2: do so many of these and I can never remember
- 6:20Speaker 2: anybody's name, And so my notes right now say Elizabeth
- 6:24Speaker 2: and bed Bed.
- 6:27Speaker 1: I see where you're going with this. I see where
- 6:30Speaker 1: you're going. Do you have a first impression of this movie?
- 6:34Speaker 2: Well, first, let's just say I think everybody knows this,
- 6:37Speaker 2: but this movie does star Autumn Racer and Tyler Hines,
- 6:40Speaker 2: two very prolific Hallmark stars. We've already seen Autumn Recer
- 6:43Speaker 2: on all three Wedding Trilogy movies. I do believe this
- 6:46Speaker 2: is Tyler's first movie of the year.
- 6:48Speaker 1: I think you're right, but oh.
- 6:51Speaker 2: He was in a number of twenty twenty one movies,
- 6:54Speaker 2: including Our Favorite Christmas Movie and Unexpected Christmas.
- 6:58Speaker 1: It's not the right title. I just mass, yes, it is.
- 7:00Speaker 1: Good job me.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Okay, my first impression of this movie is apparently I'm
- 7:06Speaker 2: a Hallmark Movies and Mysteries fan.
- 7:07Speaker 1: Now, okay, can I comment on that please? First of all,
- 7:14Speaker 1: so many commercials for Andrew Walker's movie next week? Was
- 7:19Speaker 1: it called Curious Caterer Dying for Chocolate. I was like,
- 7:24Speaker 1: I'm so into it. It looks so campy and fun,
- 7:28Speaker 1: like this time, I can't wait to watch it. And
- 7:32Speaker 1: then I was looking at the Hallmark Movies and Mysteries page.
- 7:39Speaker 1: I don't know if they have a separate app or what,
- 7:42Speaker 1: but like, I was looking at their movies that they
- 7:44Speaker 1: have on there, and I was like, hey, I'd watch
- 7:46Speaker 1: some of these, so I I think I'm a fan too. Well.
- 7:52Speaker 2: In our Facebook group, one of our Facebook members was
- 7:55Speaker 2: talking about we were specifically discussing Hallmark Movies and Mysteries
- 7:59Speaker 2: and he said that his favorite movie of the year
- 8:02Speaker 2: is a Hallmark Movies and Mysteries movie. So I'd love
- 8:07Speaker 2: it if I could remember what it was called so I.
- 8:09Speaker 1: Could tell you the presence of love Thank you.
- 8:12Speaker 2: I actually decided to record It's On again on April fifteenth.
- 8:16Speaker 1: So did I. It was I recorded on the Friendly
- 8:19Speaker 1: app because it was on over the weekend, so I
- 8:21Speaker 1: still had enough time to record it. Yeah. Love that.
- 8:26Speaker 2: That's one of the best features of that Friendly app
- 8:28Speaker 2: is you can tap back seventy two hours and click
- 8:30Speaker 2: something that's clicked to record something that's already aired totally.
- 8:33Speaker 1: And this is what I love about the Facebook group
- 8:35Speaker 1: is that I have this person being like, hey, you
- 8:37Speaker 1: missed this movie. This is like the best one of
- 8:39Speaker 1: the year, and it was on this channel, so yeah,
- 8:41Speaker 1: go over and watch it. You know. That's that's what
- 8:44Speaker 1: I want from the Facebook group, and it's happening. I
- 8:46Speaker 1: love it, dude.
- 8:47Speaker 2: What was your first impression of this movie. This is
- 8:50Speaker 2: now a top two Tyler Hines movie for me. Oh interesting.
- 8:55Speaker 1: I loved an Unexpected Christmas that was so fun, and
- 8:59Speaker 1: I thought he was great in that and in this
- 9:03Speaker 1: role was different for him, I thought, And I just
- 9:07Speaker 1: loved him in it. I loved him in it.
- 9:10Speaker 2: That's that's a hard cell for me.
- 9:12Speaker 1: I don't know.
- 9:13Speaker 2: I liked him in this too. I really liked him
- 9:16Speaker 2: in Winter and Veil with Lacey h See.
- 9:20Speaker 1: I know, and I'm going to talk about that. Why why?
- 9:23Speaker 1: What's different about it? Okay a little bit?
- 9:27Speaker 2: So what did we like about this movie?
- 9:30Speaker 1: Number one? The food shots knows what she's doing when
- 9:34Speaker 1: she is filming food, right, Yes, cooking the food. Hate
- 9:41Speaker 1: seafood is what I was gonna say. Oh so he
- 9:44Speaker 1: didn't really actually eat that scallop. It was the best
- 9:47Speaker 1: ever scallop he's ever had in the entire world. He
- 9:49Speaker 1: didn't actually eat it or he ate it and didn't
- 9:52Speaker 1: enjoy it. Oh and the salmon and the salmon too well,
- 9:59Speaker 1: you no, Bainbridge, there's a lot of seafood up there. No,
- 10:04Speaker 1: I did not know he didn't like seafood. But I
- 10:06Speaker 1: will say bravo to Tyler Hines and his acting skills
- 10:10Speaker 1: when it comes to eating food he doesn't like. But
- 10:12Speaker 1: I just thought I just thought it was like food porn.
- 10:16Speaker 1: It was like so good. It was good. I was like,
- 10:19Speaker 1: let me have some of Marco's dish with the linguini
- 10:23Speaker 1: and the clams or whatever it was and the sundried tomatoes. See,
- 10:27Speaker 1: I remember the details of the food. I thought it
- 10:29Speaker 1: looked yuh me.
- 10:32Speaker 2: I think it goes without saying, but Tyler Hines and
- 10:34Speaker 2: On and Reser are a joy together. And we just
- 10:38Speaker 2: recorded our thoughts on Just One Kiss, and I had
- 10:41Speaker 2: so many notes on that movie, and I have fewer
- 10:44Speaker 2: notes on this movie, and I think it's because I
- 10:47Speaker 2: just was enjoying it. I think they're fun to watch
- 10:50Speaker 2: on screen. I find them both very calming to watch
- 10:53Speaker 2: on screen. They're just very natural together. And I, rather
- 10:57Speaker 2: than sitting there and looking for every little moment meant
- 11:00Speaker 2: to find something to comment on. I just enjoyed it,
- 11:02Speaker 2: and I they're a good team.
- 11:05Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree, and that's I also have like less
- 11:08Speaker 1: notes for this movie for the same reasons. Mm hmm.
- 11:14Speaker 1: I love a restaurant makeover type reality show, so this
- 11:17Speaker 1: one was super hitting home for me. Like I was
- 11:21Speaker 1: really waiting for like a restaurant makeover, like the interior
- 11:26Speaker 1: and I they kind of addressed it at the end
- 11:28Speaker 1: that they moved some tables around or whatever, but I
- 11:30Speaker 1: wanted like a reveal, you know, he came and like
- 11:34Speaker 1: painted it or whatever.
- 11:36Speaker 2: It didn't and there's some like throwback to I can't
- 11:41Speaker 2: even remember his name. What's the chef's name who dies?
- 11:44Speaker 1: Marco?
- 11:45Speaker 2: Yeah, I kept only saying Michael. I knew that was
- 11:47Speaker 2: not the Italian chef's name. There's like a small framed
- 11:50Speaker 2: photo of Michael near the mark. Oh my gosh it again. Yes,
- 11:56Speaker 2: there's not Michael, an homage to Marco somewhere in the restaurant. Yeah,
- 12:00Speaker 2: we didn't really get that.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Yeah, I was hoping for that, but like I I know,
- 12:08Speaker 1: I told you months and months ago that I had
- 12:11Speaker 1: an idea for a Hallmark movie that was very similar
- 12:14Speaker 1: to this, Yes, where somebody came in and then they
- 12:18Speaker 1: like helped with their failing business and fell in love.
- 12:24Speaker 1: I don't think I told it on.
- 12:26Speaker 2: Air, no, So, but anyway, do you think a restaurant
- 12:31Speaker 2: fixer exists?
- 12:33Speaker 1: Yeah? His name is Gordon Ramsey. Yes, I do. I definitely,
- 12:38Speaker 1: I definitely think a fixer exists. Yes, don't you.
- 12:41Speaker 2: Sure there's a consultant for everything?
- 12:44Speaker 1: Yeah? Of course, of course.
- 12:46Speaker 2: Hey, I liked Nana and I liked her sweet little lines.
- 12:49Speaker 2: She's like she's talking about where she doesn't intervene, and
- 12:52Speaker 2: she's like pretty good for a mother in law.
- 12:53Speaker 1: Huh oh, Yeah, that was funny.
- 12:56Speaker 2: I just thought she was sweet. And she was in
- 12:58Speaker 2: a position where her head passed, and of course that
- 13:03Speaker 2: is a hard thing to live with. But she was
- 13:05Speaker 2: just so loving towards Elizabeth and supportive, and I loved her.
- 13:12Speaker 1: Yeah, Nana came in ate dinner at the restaurant every
- 13:15Speaker 1: single night by herself, and it was misso said, not
- 13:18Speaker 1: every single night. I mean they had Monday nights at
- 13:20Speaker 1: at what's her name Elizabeth's house, which which can I
- 13:25Speaker 1: say they made the chef cook.
- 13:27Speaker 2: I was gonna say the same thing when she said,
- 13:31Speaker 2: I host Monday night dinner. And then they walk in
- 13:34Speaker 2: and exactly that the chef is cooking dinner.
- 13:37Speaker 1: You're not hosting, you know, change the location and he
- 13:42Speaker 1: cooks Italian food. Like I'm like, can you give it
- 13:46Speaker 1: for these people? My gosh, give them a night off
- 13:49Speaker 1: get a taco guy like come off right? Yeah, I
- 13:54Speaker 1: thought that was funny. Uh the end, Well, okay, first
- 13:59Speaker 1: of all, well, this is why I liked Tyler Hines's
- 14:03Speaker 1: character so much in this movie is because he didn't
- 14:05Speaker 1: start out as a jerk. And in Winter and Veil,
- 14:09Speaker 1: he starts out as a real jerk. Uh huh, fair enough,
- 14:12Speaker 1: and then he comes back around this one. He's just
- 14:15Speaker 1: a nice guy from go uh huh. And I thought
- 14:18Speaker 1: he was just lovely and firm with his like you know,
- 14:22Speaker 1: business or whatever. But then he was like empathetic the
- 14:25Speaker 1: entire time. I just he was so likable. That's what
- 14:32Speaker 1: made me love him so much.
- 14:34Speaker 2: Yes, their conflict came after they met, but not, You're right,
- 14:40Speaker 2: he was lovely the entire time.
- 14:43Speaker 1: And then, finally for me, the end scene where you know,
- 14:47Speaker 1: Elizabeth thinks he's left town, which like, what a bad move, dude.
- 14:52Speaker 1: You don't just bounce. You gotta like say goodbye to
- 14:54Speaker 1: the people that you know. But I know why he
- 14:57Speaker 1: was leaving because he overheard her say like to banker,
- 15:00Speaker 1: yeah I got this, It's me from here on out,
- 15:03Speaker 1: and so he's like, well, I'm done here, so I'll
- 15:05Speaker 1: leave and then that was just very typical hamarky stuff.
- 15:10Speaker 1: But she thinks he's gone, and then they see each
- 15:13Speaker 1: other and the girl was playing like the guitar and
- 15:18Speaker 1: the background and yes, and and he tells her like
- 15:23Speaker 1: you know, I was engaged. And the reason that ended
- 15:26Speaker 1: is because she died. And I just cried. I literally
- 15:31Speaker 1: cried watching this. I thought he was so great in
- 15:35Speaker 1: this scene. Like, I thought he was emotional. It wasn't
- 15:37Speaker 1: just like delivering the line. It was it was heartfelt.
- 15:41Speaker 1: I loved it well.
- 15:43Speaker 2: I also read that Tyler Hines got some news that
- 15:47Speaker 2: someone close to him passed away during the filming of
- 15:49Speaker 2: this movie. Oh, and I I read it secondhand. I
- 15:53Speaker 2: read it via a tweet, but they had read, seen
- 15:56Speaker 2: or heard an interview with him where he mentioned that, Oh,
- 16:00Speaker 2: he was also dealing with that, so that informed some
- 16:04Speaker 2: of his acting choices.
- 16:05Speaker 1: I believe. Ah, it was good.
- 16:08Speaker 2: It was good with that almost final scene in mine
- 16:13Speaker 2: can be transitioned to what we wished for.
- 16:15Speaker 1: Yes, absolutely, go ahead.
- 16:17Speaker 2: So I only have one and it's as you mentioned,
- 16:20Speaker 2: it's the scene with the banker and look, Tyler, you
- 16:23Speaker 2: are here because she's trying to save her restaurant. You know,
- 16:27Speaker 2: she needs to get this loan in order to be
- 16:30Speaker 2: able to buy out this dude who's sending her up
- 16:33Speaker 2: the river basically, And so when she's speaking to someone
- 16:37Speaker 2: confidently and saying I can handle this, it seems like
- 16:42Speaker 2: of all people, he should have stuck it out to
- 16:46Speaker 2: hear the conversation that comes after that that she has
- 16:48Speaker 2: with him. Absolutely just bounces, yeah, guess she doesn't need
- 16:54Speaker 2: me anymore. Bye, dumb. And he has these relationships with everybody.
- 16:59Speaker 2: I don't think that was true to his character that
- 17:02Speaker 2: he wouldn't even say goodbye to everybody else.
- 17:06Speaker 1: He did say goodbye to Anna. He's the one who
- 17:09Speaker 1: told she's She's the one who told Elizabeth that he
- 17:12Speaker 1: had left.
- 17:13Speaker 2: I think that even if he was mad, that he
- 17:14Speaker 2: would just not even say, like, well, it was nice
- 17:16Speaker 2: goodbye to Elizabeth.
- 17:19Speaker 1: He wouldn't. Yeah, it totally was. I thought it sounded
- 17:25Speaker 1: a little bit desperate at one point. It's it's that
- 17:29Speaker 1: scene again where they're talking and the girl in the ukulele,
- 17:31Speaker 1: and she just keeps going like, tell me what you want,
- 17:34Speaker 1: tell me what you want, And I was like, no,
- 17:37Speaker 1: You're like, sounds so desperate right now, Like just look
- 17:41Speaker 1: you know what I mean, You know, like when girls
- 17:43Speaker 1: like Chase after dudes and there and she wants him
- 17:46Speaker 1: to say something in particular like I watch you, but
- 17:52Speaker 1: you know, and I mean she eventually got it, but
- 17:54Speaker 1: I just was like stop that, like stop like begging
- 17:58Speaker 1: this dude, Like no, stop it. Anything else you wish for,
- 18:03Speaker 1: because I have one more tendy little one, go for it.
- 18:07Speaker 1: I wanted to brush Tyler's baby bangs to decide the
- 18:10Speaker 1: entire time. This was not my favorite hairstyle on him,
- 18:14Speaker 1: and I think I would take the long hair over
- 18:18Speaker 1: this outdiated Caesar haircut for sure.
- 18:22Speaker 2: Even if he had taken this and like squish it
- 18:25Speaker 2: up a little bit the way we used to get
- 18:26Speaker 2: five years ago, just like a little huge in front,
- 18:29Speaker 2: just a little something, yeah, tiny little FAUXHOWK I would
- 18:32Speaker 2: have preferred over the bangs.
- 18:35Speaker 1: I agree, I do. I did not like that taste
- 18:38Speaker 1: it so pretty though, but yes, for sure. And his
- 18:42Speaker 1: wardrobe in this movie reminded me a lot of when
- 18:45Speaker 1: he was in Unreal, when he played that bachelor and
- 18:52Speaker 1: Unreal it was very like uh front tuck T shirt,
- 18:57Speaker 1: you know, v neck. He wore a lot of jewelry.
- 19:00Speaker 1: I don't know if you'd noticed that. I didn't one either. Yeah. Anyway, okay,
- 19:05Speaker 1: it's time for did you see that? I have a
- 19:09Speaker 1: few me too. My first one is there, why is
- 19:13Speaker 1: there so much fake ivy all over the restaurant in
- 19:15Speaker 1: her house? Like is this in an Italian aesthetic? Like
- 19:19Speaker 1: I don't get it, Like I'm surprised they didn't have
- 19:21Speaker 1: like bread baskets and like wine bottles. But you know
- 19:24Speaker 1: what I'm talking about, like.
- 19:25Speaker 2: This one Italian movie on the nose.
- 19:31Speaker 1: Yeh, don't forget it. She's like, my restaurant and my
- 19:36Speaker 1: house look identical. No, Okay.
- 19:41Speaker 2: One of my favorite scenes, and I have some backstory
- 19:44Speaker 2: on it, is Ben buys Elizabeth coffee and he puts
- 19:49Speaker 2: the name Cuppy on the cup.
- 19:52Speaker 1: Cuppy. Wait you missed this. I totally did. Go ahead.
- 19:56Speaker 2: They have a whole conversation. They're walking and she's like,
- 19:58Speaker 2: I can't believe you put that name on the cup.
- 19:59Speaker 2: And they turn around and says cuppy. He goes, they
- 20:01Speaker 2: asked for a name for the cup. She goes, I
- 20:02Speaker 2: would have said Steven, So he named the cup cuppy.
- 20:06Speaker 2: But my favorite part about this is that Julie Sherman Wolf.
- 20:10Speaker 2: In real life, her husband did that in a Starbucks
- 20:12Speaker 2: ten years ago and everybody cracked up, and she said
- 20:16Speaker 2: she's been dying to find a time to put this
- 20:18Speaker 2: in the movie.
- 20:19Speaker 1: Oh I love it? Did she tweet that she did.
- 20:22Speaker 1: Oh my god, I love that. That's funny. No, I don't,
- 20:26Speaker 1: like you know, I've watched these movies not full at
- 20:29Speaker 1: one hundred percent, but uh no, I totally miss that.
- 20:33Speaker 1: That's really funny story.
- 20:35Speaker 2: I honestly, that just tickles me so much. Name for
- 20:38Speaker 2: the cup cuppy, Come on, I love it.
- 20:40Speaker 1: Miss It's very funny, very funny. I'm sure Starbucks thinks
- 20:45Speaker 1: it's super funny too when they get that all those
- 20:48Speaker 1: I know, I know, Yeah, yeah, Okay, I have a question.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Do you ever break the spaghetti noodles before you put
- 20:55Speaker 1: them in the pot to boil them? I have.
- 21:01Speaker 2: It's hard for them to eat a long noodle me too.
- 21:05Speaker 1: I mean, like just last week I did it. So
- 21:08Speaker 1: are you not allowed to do that? Is that?
- 21:10Speaker 2: Like I knew you weren't supposed to?
- 21:13Speaker 1: But well says who why?
- 21:15Speaker 2: What difference does it make Italians?
- 21:17Speaker 1: I don't know?
- 21:17Speaker 2: But also I know that like I grew up in
- 21:20Speaker 2: a family that would cut their spaghetti, Like if we
- 21:23Speaker 2: gave us a twirler, they were cutters. So we're just
- 21:27Speaker 2: doing it wrong across the board. Definitely, my mom broke
- 21:31Speaker 2: spaghetti noodles. I've broken a spaghetti noodle in my day.
- 21:36Speaker 1: I just yeah, it's just funny. You know, we made
- 21:41Speaker 1: a video. This is such a sign up. But we
- 21:43Speaker 1: made a video years and years ago and we were
- 21:45Speaker 1: testing a perfume and we had rubbed our wrists together,
- 21:49Speaker 1: which apparently is a huge, huge no no when you
- 21:54Speaker 1: are applying perfume. So I'm just wondering, like, are people
- 21:59Speaker 1: gonna like I need the emails tell me why you
- 22:02Speaker 1: don't break the spaghetti noodle before you cook it.
- 22:05Speaker 2: Well, that also has a backstory in Julie Shermanwell's life.
- 22:08Speaker 2: She was dating someone, she broke the spaghetti noodles and
- 22:11Speaker 2: they broke up two weeks later.
- 22:12Speaker 1: So because of broken spaghetti.
- 22:16Speaker 2: I don't know that they were related, but that was
- 22:18Speaker 2: the timeline too.
- 22:19Speaker 1: Funny.
- 22:20Speaker 2: Did you notice that the cookbook she's using is a
- 22:22Speaker 2: Jiada cookbook? I know I did it like, oh, Giada's
- 22:26Speaker 2: Home Cooking or something across the cover wasted opportunity here too.
- 22:30Speaker 1: They should have had Giada as one of the hundred agree?
- 22:35Speaker 1: Why was she not pass as a judge? Yeah? That
- 22:39Speaker 1: was so dumb. What a waste, I know. And then
- 22:43Speaker 1: I was like, oh, is this judge somebody like who
- 22:45Speaker 1: we're supposed to know? Like they kind of you know,
- 22:49Speaker 1: talked her up a little bit. But was she just
- 22:51Speaker 1: a regular actress or was this like a real person?
- 22:54Speaker 2: Good question, I don't know. I did feel like the
- 22:57Speaker 2: chef whose burner he uses oh uh huh uh uh
- 23:01Speaker 2: huh felt like an actual chef to me. I was like,
- 23:04Speaker 2: for something about his like mannerisms, I'm like, he's either
- 23:06Speaker 2: a great chef actor or like maybe he's a real chef.
- 23:09Speaker 2: He felt like a chef to me. Vibes think you
- 23:12Speaker 2: for reminding me of this scene because.
- 23:16Speaker 1: The the chef's burner goes out right and everybody's like
- 23:20Speaker 1: standing around and freaking Tyler Hines. Ben charges into like
- 23:26Speaker 1: the cooking era. He's like, what's the problem over here?
- 23:29Speaker 1: Like I'm like, dude, step down, Will Smith like you
- 23:34Speaker 1: know what I mean? I was like, and then he's
- 23:37Speaker 1: like to the other chef, He's like, Hi, I'm Ben,
- 23:40Speaker 1: And then like tells him in twenty seconds why they
- 23:43Speaker 1: desperately need to use his burner because they got a
- 23:46Speaker 1: lot on the line here. Like I was, like, what
- 23:49Speaker 1: is happening? The cooking competition would not have extra burners.
- 23:54Speaker 2: I think that's not on them that the cooking competition
- 23:58Speaker 2: provided burner goes out. Every one has the same equipment,
- 24:01Speaker 2: So doesn't it like that would disqualify them?
- 24:04Speaker 1: I agree? It was just so funny though, And then
- 24:08Speaker 1: they ended The other chef ended up winning, and his
- 24:11Speaker 1: restaurant was called chop Sticks, No.
- 24:14Speaker 2: Chop and stick it I haven't written down.
- 24:20Speaker 1: Oh my god, I thought it was just chop sticks
- 24:23Speaker 1: with like a little image in the middle. Oh, that's funny,
- 24:26Speaker 1: chop and stick. I love it.
- 24:31Speaker 2: One last, when they're sitting at the night off Monday
- 24:35Speaker 2: night dinner, which is actually a forced work night by
- 24:37Speaker 2: the way, but again they say benzato, which I don't
- 24:41Speaker 2: know what it means, like bon apetit. I don't actually
- 24:44Speaker 2: remember what it means. But apparently Julie Shermanwolf named the
- 24:49Speaker 2: character Ben just so she could make the Ben Fatso joke.
- 24:53Speaker 1: Oh really, Oh that's funny. Okay, that's all I got.
- 24:59Speaker 2: Okay, deal Are you ready to rate this movie?
- 25:03Speaker 1: I sure am.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Are we rating another count of three?
- 25:06Speaker 1: Yeah? I think that's fun.
- 25:07Speaker 2: Okay, here we go, Okay, three, two, one, four star, four.
- 25:12Speaker 1: And a half stars. Stop.
- 25:14Speaker 2: You did rated this exactly the same as you did
- 25:18Speaker 2: Just One Kiss.
- 25:19Speaker 1: Yes. I thought they were both great movies. Do I
- 25:21Speaker 1: think they were the best movies? No, but I thought
- 25:23Speaker 1: they were great movies.
- 25:24Speaker 2: I thought they were great movies too. I like Just
- 25:26Speaker 2: One Kiss slightly more. The banter. The banter got me.
