- 1:16Speaker 3: you for waking up with us.
- 1:18Speaker 1: It's what the hell headlines?
- 1:20Speaker 4: What the hell are you talking about?
- 1:22Speaker 1: On the Alabama Show?
- 1:24Speaker 3: People are getting injections of fat from dead people?
- 1:28Speaker 4: Why?
- 1:30Speaker 7: What does that mean?
- 1:31Speaker 3: People are literally it's a new surgery trend, getting zombie filler.
- 1:35Speaker 3: It involves injecting fat from corpses.
- 1:38Speaker 5: Why would you do that?
- 1:39Speaker 4: It's the purpose I don't know.
- 1:40Speaker 3: Plastic surgeons say the ozimpic craze is leaving patients with
- 1:44Speaker 3: no fat, causing them to get it from another source.
- 1:47Speaker 3: So now they've started doing zombie filler. It's been around
- 1:50Speaker 3: for years, but it's more affordable, so more people are
- 1:53Speaker 3: doing it and the popularity of it is rising.
- 1:56Speaker 4: So there you go.
- 1:57Speaker 5: That's so gross.
- 1:59Speaker 2: Why super easy trivia with the Yelabama Show eight.
- 2:04Speaker 4: Three three five om BMO is the number to call
- 2:06Speaker 4: the show. Crystal. I know you're driving to work. Where
- 2:09Speaker 4: are you driving through right now? Okay, how's traffic? And Macaula, Crystal,
- 2:16Speaker 4: That's awesome. That's what we like to hear.
- 2:18Speaker 3: All right, Crystal, I ask the questions you give the answers.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Producer Blake is your lifeline?
- 2:22Speaker 4: Are you ready? Whose nose grew longer every time?
- 2:26Speaker 1: Hey? Lied?
- 2:29Speaker 4: Good job?
- 2:30Speaker 3: Next one, Crystal, what is the color of a school bus?
- 2:34Speaker 4: Hello? That would be it?
- 2:37Speaker 3: And last one for the wind. How many sides does
- 2:39Speaker 3: a triangle have?
- 2:41Speaker 1: Three?
- 2:43Speaker 5: Is it?
- 2:50Speaker 6: I love you?
- 2:53Speaker 1: We love you?
- 2:54Speaker 3: To Congratulations you won tickets to Benson Boone.
- 2:58Speaker 1: Hell, you know there's three things you need to know
- 3:02Speaker 1: you with the Alabama show if you missed it.
- 3:04Speaker 3: The Jonas Brothers annow it's a forty five city tour
- 3:07Speaker 3: and they are.
- 3:08Speaker 4: Coming to Birmingham.
- 3:10Speaker 3: They will be in Alabama. I am so excited. If
- 3:12Speaker 3: you want to see the Jonas Brothers Friday, October ninth,
- 3:15Speaker 3: we get to see them at the BJCC. Hopefully we'll
- 3:17Speaker 3: have tickets to give away on the show. I don't
- 3:19Speaker 3: know for sure yet. Just make sure you keep listening.
- 3:22Speaker 3: Mittel just released to Gilmore Girl's Little People Collector set
- 3:26Speaker 3: and I am so excited, featuring Rory, Lorelei, Emily and Luke.
- 3:30Speaker 3: If you are a Gilmore Girls fan, this is awesome.
- 3:33Speaker 3: It's an Amazon exclusive, so you can only get it
- 3:35Speaker 3: on Amazon.
- 3:36Speaker 4: For twenty six ninety nine.
- 3:39Speaker 3: We do have an update on Hayden Pinetier, who passed
- 3:43Speaker 3: away over the weekend at the age of thirty six.
- 3:45Speaker 4: Narkan was found on the scene of the incident.
- 3:47Speaker 3: If you don't know what narcan is, it's usually administered
- 3:50Speaker 3: to reverse the effects of an opioid overdose, which is
- 3:54Speaker 3: typically when that happens, it's accidental. There were two ambulances
- 3:59Speaker 3: that rush to the apartment where Hayden was, which would
- 4:02Speaker 3: point to two people being in distress. So it's really
- 4:04Speaker 3: unclear who was administered than narcan, but a lot of
- 4:08Speaker 3: people are speculating that it was an accidental overdose.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Is her cause of death.
- 4:11Speaker 3: She passed away at the age of thirty six on
- 4:13Speaker 3: Sunday at two thirty two pm.
- 4:16Speaker 4: This is very.
- 4:18Speaker 3: Important to me because I lost my mother to an
- 4:20Speaker 3: accidental overdose in twenty nineteen. So if you are struggling
- 4:23Speaker 3: with addiction or know somebody who is there is.
- 4:27Speaker 4: Help, call the show.
- 4:28Speaker 3: We will talk to you, but please just get help.
- 4:34Speaker 3: That's three things you need to know. More at the
- 4:37Speaker 3: Alabama Show dot com.
- 4:39Speaker 1: You were listening to the Alabama Show on to man.
- 4:42Speaker 4: I may or may not have a job after today.
- 4:45Speaker 5: You toe this line a lot. You know that.
- 4:48Speaker 4: Thanks for listening to the Alabama Show.
- 4:50Speaker 3: I'm Alabama with Producer Blake. We're slightly teasing. I think
- 4:53Speaker 3: I'm fine.
- 4:55Speaker 6: Yeah, you think you think you're You said I'm fine, Yeah,
- 4:58Speaker 6: because I think you're fine.
- 4:59Speaker 7: But who knows.
- 5:00Speaker 5: I mean, I'm not the one in charge.
- 5:02Speaker 3: Yesterday I had to call in because I wake up
- 5:06Speaker 3: in the morning and I let my dogs out to
- 5:08Speaker 3: go to the bathroom before I leave to go to work.
- 5:10Speaker 4: And Producer Blake, you've seen my house.
- 5:12Speaker 5: I live in the.
- 5:12Speaker 3: Middle of nowhere, correct, Yeah, and there is like forty
- 5:16Speaker 3: acres of woods behind me.
- 5:18Speaker 4: And so I've done this a hundred times. I will
- 5:21Speaker 4: let my dogs out in the morning, I will go
- 5:23Speaker 4: in and brush my teeth, and usually they kind of
- 5:25Speaker 4: stay in the front yard.
- 5:26Speaker 3: Yesterday I didn't realize they had run off into the woods.
- 5:30Speaker 4: Well, two of them came back bloody, limping, panting. I
- 5:36Speaker 4: was like, oh, this isn't good.
- 5:39Speaker 6: Yeah. I got a call saying I'm not It's gonna
- 5:42Speaker 6: be a minute.
- 5:43Speaker 5: I need Yeah.
- 5:44Speaker 3: At first I called you and said I was gonna
- 5:45Speaker 3: be late, and then like frantically, I put them in
- 5:48Speaker 3: their crates.
- 5:48Speaker 4: I was like, I'm gonna come. I'll come to work.
- 5:50Speaker 3: I started driving to work and I get almost to work.
- 5:53Speaker 4: But I was so stressed out. I kept having a
- 5:56Speaker 4: pull over.
- 5:57Speaker 3: My stomach was a k notce and I was like,
- 5:58Speaker 3: cause I really didn't look at my for well enough
- 6:00Speaker 3: and I didn't know how bad it was.
- 6:01Speaker 4: So I turned around and went back home. I texted
- 6:03Speaker 4: you and the boss and said, I'm not coming in today.
- 6:06Speaker 5: We got got a the explanation.
- 6:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I gotta deal with this.
- 6:09Speaker 3: So the boss calls me when I get close to
- 6:11Speaker 3: home and he goes, I need you to come into work.
- 6:15Speaker 5: I'm like, I can't.
- 6:16Speaker 4: I gotta deal with these dogs.
- 6:17Speaker 3: I can't, and he we get off the phone and
- 6:21Speaker 3: I walk into my house and I let one of
- 6:23Speaker 3: my dogs out of the crate and he's limping and
- 6:24Speaker 3: his eyes swollen shut, and I was like, hey, this
- 6:27Speaker 3: is an emergency VET situation. So I called the boss
- 6:31Speaker 3: back yesterday and I was like, I'm not coming in.
- 6:34Speaker 4: They need to go to the vet. It's an emergency.
- 6:36Speaker 3: If you want to write me up, you can, And
- 6:39Speaker 3: that did not go over well, and then I said
- 6:42Speaker 3: at that point, I like, my adrenaline is pumping because
- 6:46Speaker 3: my dogs are injured, and if you know me, my
- 6:47Speaker 3: dogs are like my baby.
- 6:49Speaker 4: So finally I said, you don't own my life.
- 6:52Speaker 6: Yeah, I think you may have overreacted, but also you
- 6:57Speaker 6: may have hysterically.
- 7:00Speaker 4: It's an emergency. My adrenaline was pumping. You don't know
- 7:04Speaker 4: my lives.
- 7:05Speaker 5: Maybe an overreaction if you ask me, But I.
- 7:08Speaker 3: Mean my dog ended up needing to be sedated and
- 7:12Speaker 3: shaved and then having stitches.
- 7:14Speaker 4: He had puncture wounds in his chest. He would have
- 7:17Speaker 4: bled out if I would have come to work and
- 7:19Speaker 4: dealt with it later, Sam did antics. That is not overreacting.
- 7:24Speaker 6: Slightly overreacting, I will say, fully, I told the boss
- 7:28Speaker 6: to kick rocks. You did, and you've not been here
- 7:32Speaker 6: to handle the consequences, and I'm excited to see how
- 7:34Speaker 6: that goes today.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Yeah, there's gonna be a conversation with me afterward. Call
- 7:38Speaker 4: the show. Eight three three five o one, Bama is
- 7:41Speaker 4: the number? Have you ever told your boss to kick rocks?
- 7:45Speaker 3: Starting crying and said you don't know my life?
- 7:49Speaker 5: I'm excited to see how this good.
- 7:50Speaker 4: You probably hung up and was like, what is wrong
- 7:52Speaker 4: with this girl? Eight three three five oh one Bama.
- 7:54Speaker 4: Is the number. That's eight three three, five oh one
- 7:57Speaker 4: two two sixty two.
- 7:58Speaker 1: It's three things with the ELEM.
- 8:02Speaker 3: There's a heat advisory still in effect today through nine pm,
- 8:05Speaker 3: where heat indexes could reach one hundred and five to
- 8:08Speaker 3: one hundred and ten degrees. It is ridiculous outside. Stay
- 8:12Speaker 3: just go inside. Don't even go outside. We do have
- 8:15Speaker 3: a chance of isolated afternoon showers or storms possible this afternoon,
- 8:20Speaker 3: so maybe it'll help us cool down, but still it's miserable.
- 8:22Speaker 4: Go inside.
- 8:24Speaker 3: Here's the latest insult, according to gen z on TikTok,
- 8:27Speaker 3: it's polyester.
- 8:28Speaker 4: The word polyester means.
- 8:31Speaker 3: That anything low quality or inauthentic, So producer Blake, if
- 8:34Speaker 3: I looked at you and said you're so polyester, it
- 8:37Speaker 3: means you're not that great.
- 8:38Speaker 1: Okay, well you're.
- 8:39Speaker 3: Polyester, I said, if I said it, I didn't really
- 8:42Speaker 3: say that. But your shirt's pretty polyester right now. Okay,
- 8:46Speaker 3: here's drama with the band Perry. So over the weekend.
- 8:49Speaker 3: The band Perry, you know it originally started with three siblings.
- 8:53Speaker 3: Over the weekend, Neil Perry, who is one of the brothers,
- 8:57Speaker 3: posted on Instagram preparing for my Neti documentary of how
- 9:01Speaker 3: the van Perry went from three siblings to my sister
- 9:03Speaker 3: and her husband, and he basically like which everybody knew that.
- 9:08Speaker 3: But then he posted a few clips of interviews of
- 9:11Speaker 3: her talking about how the brothers gave their blessing, and
- 9:14Speaker 3: he essentially said I never gave my blessing. It was
- 9:17Speaker 3: like he got booted out. So then he started his
- 9:19Speaker 3: own musical project. It's called Wolves of Wolves of June
- 9:24Speaker 3: is his new artist name, band name. He dropped a
- 9:27Speaker 3: song called T and T. Obviously it's about the family drama.
- 9:31Speaker 4: And I like it. I've been jamming it all weekend.
- 9:34Speaker 4: This is part of it. It's a little bit of
- 9:39Speaker 4: rock vibes.
- 9:40Speaker 1: Black dress if you lose.
- 9:44Speaker 4: I like it.
- 9:44Speaker 3: Okay, it sounds like something we would play on this station.
- 9:48Speaker 3: It doesn't sound country to me, and I really love it. Well.
- 9:51Speaker 6: That intros a little scary at first, but then it
- 9:53Speaker 6: actually got pretty good.
- 9:54Speaker 3: I know the chorus is even better. So anyway, there's
- 9:57Speaker 3: the band Perry Drama. I'm waiting on Kimberley to say
- 10:00Speaker 3: something or address it. I've been waiting. I feel like
- 10:02Speaker 3: a lot of fans have been patiently waiting, going ooh,
- 10:04Speaker 3: family drama. Let's see what happens.
- 10:06Speaker 5: I do want to see more.
- 10:07Speaker 4: As we find out, we will let you know.
- 10:09Speaker 3: And that is three things you need to know more
- 10:11Speaker 3: at the Alabama Show dot com.
- 10:13Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 10:16Speaker 3: Okay, you know, if it has to do with animals
- 10:19Speaker 3: the Birmingham Zoo, I'm always excited.
- 10:21Speaker 4: And we have our good friend Bill Dang from the
- 10:23Speaker 4: Birmingham Zoo.
- 10:24Speaker 7: Good morning, good morning, thank you for having us.
- 10:26Speaker 4: Okay, tell me about the mascots.
- 10:28Speaker 8: So it's football season. Yeah, so we try to do
- 10:30Speaker 8: things different. So we're having this Saturday meet the mascots.
- 10:34Speaker 8: Will you come see the and with the real elephants,
- 10:36Speaker 8: the jaguar all that, but we're having the actual the
- 10:40Speaker 8: mascots there.
- 10:40Speaker 7: So from ten to eleven we're having Big Al.
- 10:43Speaker 8: We're having Cocky from Jacksonville State, Steing from Alabama State,
- 10:46Speaker 8: Walley from Walla State, Golden Bear there so you can
- 10:49Speaker 8: come of get photos, interact in and actually see the
- 10:51Speaker 8: animals behind the mascots.
- 10:53Speaker 3: So do the mascots take pictures like does Big Al
- 10:56Speaker 3: take pictures?
- 10:56Speaker 4: With the elephants?
- 10:57Speaker 8: You will see I'm cashing in all my armor points
- 11:00Speaker 8: for that because the Internet we'll explode. But this will
- 11:02Speaker 8: all be in the children' zoo area and then they'll
- 11:04Speaker 8: probably venture out a little bit, so we'll have college
- 11:07Speaker 8: from ten to eleven, pros from eleven to twelve with
- 11:09Speaker 8: a Legion and the Barons, and then we'll have high
- 11:11Speaker 8: schools from nine to.
- 11:12Speaker 7: One, so there'll be different things for people to see.
- 11:15Speaker 8: You come interact with the mascots and also meet the
- 11:18Speaker 8: analysts behind them.
- 11:19Speaker 4: I love this.
- 11:20Speaker 3: I love because the BIRMINGHAMSOO is so innovative about all
- 11:24Speaker 3: of the events.
- 11:24Speaker 4: And fun things that you guys do.
- 11:26Speaker 3: And y'all just really offer a lot of fun stuff
- 11:29Speaker 3: for the community.
- 11:30Speaker 1: We do.
- 11:30Speaker 8: We were just named Alabama's Attraction of the Year, so
- 11:33Speaker 8: we won the Birmingham Attraction of the Year Alabama.
- 11:35Speaker 7: So I guess we're up for Miss America next. But
- 11:37Speaker 7: we're super excited about it.
- 11:39Speaker 8: People are loving the zoo. We're doing things and it's
- 11:41Speaker 8: all about conservation and the message. So we do fun
- 11:43Speaker 8: things like we have pancakes and princesses that is sold out.
- 11:46Speaker 8: That's coming up a mother a month away. The demand
- 11:49Speaker 8: is there. People are loving and we're working on the
- 11:51Speaker 8: Halloween stuff now. We've got dinosaurs here till November the first,
- 11:56Speaker 8: and then we work on on holiday now.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Yeah, then Glow Wild Wild.
- 11:59Speaker 8: We're actually working on that right now. So there's lots
- 12:02Speaker 8: of exciting things coming. But if you love college football
- 12:04Speaker 8: or whatever, I just want to come out.
- 12:06Speaker 7: This Saturday morning should be great. Again.
- 12:08Speaker 8: It's from ten to one, so you do that. If
- 12:11Speaker 8: you get a little warm, go into the Predator building
- 12:13Speaker 8: and see the ox lottels. They're amazing. I don't know
- 12:17Speaker 8: if any oxfal Lottle mascots. We may be trending, but
- 12:21Speaker 8: so we'll see. It's gonna be a lot of fun.
- 12:22Speaker 4: All right, thank you.
- 12:23Speaker 3: That's this Saturday at the birminghamsmimzoo dot com.
- 12:26Speaker 7: As all your details.
- 12:27Speaker 1: You're listening to the Alabama Show on demand.
- 12:30Speaker 3: I'm so excited about the thing we made. This is
- 12:32Speaker 3: where we share our good news. If you have good news,
- 12:34Speaker 3: called the show eight three three five o one.
- 12:37Speaker 5: This is something different for sure.
- 12:40Speaker 3: It was a creative idea I had and I had
- 12:41Speaker 3: producer Blake sing on it, and I didn't tell him
- 12:44Speaker 3: really what he was doing, and he didn't listen to
- 12:45Speaker 3: it while he was singing.
- 12:46Speaker 4: But you remember the old Is it Budweiser, the old
- 12:49Speaker 4: Buzzwo real Men of Genius? Is it Budweiser or Bush?
- 12:54Speaker 5: I don't want to gene. I really don't know.
- 12:57Speaker 4: I don't know whatever.
- 12:58Speaker 3: I was like, we need to start doing Women of
- 13:00Speaker 3: Genius ones, and right now it would be better to
- 13:03Speaker 3: celebrate the moms whose kids are going back to school
- 13:05Speaker 3: because now they get their pace and quiet. So we
- 13:09Speaker 3: made this thing, and I wanted to play it for
- 13:11Speaker 3: you because I'm not good at production.
- 13:13Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm excited to see how well you did on this.
- 13:17Speaker 3: Producer Blank thinks that it's pretty funny.
- 13:20Speaker 4: So I just here's what we did.
- 13:24Speaker 2: The Alabama Show proudly presents Women of Genius.
- 13:29Speaker 1: Wim Man of Genius.
- 13:32Speaker 2: Today, we salute you, missus finally getting the kids back
- 13:36Speaker 2: to school.
- 13:36Speaker 1: Mom, She's finally reclaiming her for you them.
- 13:39Speaker 2: For eighty seven long summer days, you've been a snack machine, chauffeur, referee, therapist,
- 13:45Speaker 2: and full time finder of missing shoes.
- 13:48Speaker 5: Have you checked your feet?
- 13:50Speaker 2: You've survived endless cries of I'm bored, mysterious sticky countertops,
- 13:54Speaker 2: and at least one argument that started because someone.
- 13:57Speaker 1: Breathed too loudly. He looked, dud me.
- 14:01Speaker 2: What tomorrow morning, as that school bus disappears around the corner,
- 14:05Speaker 2: you'll finally hear it.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Silence, sweet beautiful sun loons.
- 14:11Speaker 2: So enjoy that hot cup of coffee, that clean living room,
- 14:14Speaker 2: and those precious few hours before someone calls asking if
- 14:17Speaker 2: you can bring the forgoten lunchbox, missus finally getting the
- 14:20Speaker 2: kids back to school.
- 14:21Speaker 3: Mom.
- 14:21Speaker 1: Today we salute you. You are listening to the Alabama Show.
- 14:26Speaker 1: The following program is on demand today.
- 14:29Speaker 3: Producer Blake's going to tell the world why you should
- 14:32Speaker 3: never invite him with you to a sporting event or
- 14:34Speaker 3: you should go either way.
- 14:37Speaker 1: On this one.
- 14:38Speaker 4: Thanks for listening to the Alabama Show. I'm Alabama with
- 14:40Speaker 4: producer Blake.
- 14:41Speaker 5: What happened? I was at a kid's football game.
- 14:44Speaker 4: How old was this kid?
- 14:46Speaker 5: He's sixth grade?
- 14:46Speaker 6: I think so twelve fifth, sixth grade something like that. Yeah,
- 14:50Speaker 6: and they were having a jamboree like near my house.
- 14:53Speaker 6: I said, you know what, I will go because he
- 14:55Speaker 6: asked me to go watch him play his first game.
- 14:57Speaker 4: Ever you go to my high school or to high school?
- 15:00Speaker 4: Pretty sure Blake lives right, I don't think so.
- 15:03Speaker 6: No, it wasn't that. No, so we get there and
- 15:07Speaker 6: we're sitting up in the top and I'm just yelling
- 15:10Speaker 6: at kids. I don't know any of these kids.
